The Matt Walsh Show - Ep. 1379 - Pride Month Madness Begins

00:00:00.000 Today on the Matt Walsh Show, Pride Month has started again, unfortunately.

00:00:03.120 This year's festivities kicked off with a gay pride message from a very popular YouTuber

00:00:07.160 who makes content for very young children.

00:00:09.460 Also, a politician in Canada uses the cringiest method possible to voice her support for a law

00:00:14.140 that will lower the voting age to 16.

00:00:16.840 Fauci admits that the social distancing regulations that he came up with had no scientific basis,

00:00:21.180 and a viral post on social media laments the lack of emotional intelligence, quote-unquote, in men.

00:00:25.520 We'll talk about all that and more today on the Matt Walsh Show.

00:00:30.000 We recently had some monumental news that nobody's talking about.

00:00:55.960 For the first time in our history, the interest we pay on the national debt

00:00:59.040 has surpassed every individual budget item except for Social Security.

00:01:02.700 The United States now spends more on interest than on national defense or Medicare,

00:01:07.160 and the situation is only getting worse as big government continues to spend like drunken sailors.

00:01:12.160 That's why investors, central banks, and concerned savers are turning to gold,

00:01:15.740 something not tied to the inflated U.S. debt.

00:01:18.060 You can, too, with the help of Birch Gold.

00:01:19.900 Birch Gold understands that navigating financial decisions can be scary.

00:01:23.040 That's why their dedicated in-house IRA department is there to guide you every step of the way.

00:01:27.180 Birch Gold is committed to addressing your questions and concerns properly.

00:01:30.740 Their team is always ready to provide answers and clarity,

00:01:32.820 whether it's about fees, taxes, and rollovers, or the timing of the process.

00:01:35.940 They're here to ensure that you feel valued and well-informed.

00:01:38.900 Text Walsh to 989898 to talk to one of Birch Gold's experts and claim your free info kit on gold.

00:01:44.140 You'll learn how to convert an existing IRA or 401k into a tax-sheltered IRA in gold.

00:01:48.580 The best part is it doesn't cost you a penny out of pocket.

00:01:51.140 Just text Walsh to 989898.

00:01:53.200 That's Walsh to 989898.

00:01:55.760 So June is upon us, which means that the government, media, political activists,

00:02:00.060 and major corporations have all collectively decided once again to spend an entire month

00:02:03.480 celebrating one of the seven deadly sins.

00:02:05.920 Fathers, mothers, veterans, fallen soldiers all receive just one day on the calendar each,

00:02:11.940 but people who are proud of their sexual activities are awarded four weeks of nonstop attention

00:02:17.800 on top of all the other various days and weeks that they've earmarked for themselves.

00:02:21.160 And the point of this all-encompassing production is to browbeat you into submission,

00:02:25.840 to force you to join the celebration, whether you want to or not.

00:02:29.780 Now, as anyone who was alive a few decades ago can attest, our country wasn't always like this.

00:02:35.180 Every aspect of these festivities is artificial, which is why every year the facade becomes a little

00:02:41.460 more obvious, even to the most oblivious among us.

00:02:44.820 It's a bit like that old story from the Soviet Union where nobody wanted to be the first person

00:02:48.740 to stop clapping for Stalin. So everybody just clapped indefinitely. And then inevitably,

00:02:53.980 someone is the first person to stop, and they end up getting in a lot of trouble. In that case,

00:02:58.260 going to the gulag for like 10 years or whatever it was. And something like that happened over the

00:03:03.140 weekend to the luxury carmaker BMW. Now, this year, as they've done every year in recent memory,

00:03:08.640 BMW dutifully changed its official profile picture on social media to reflect the gay-friendly colors. 0.94

00:03:14.200 But at the same time, BMW very conspicuously didn't change its profile picture in Middle

00:03:19.400 Eastern countries at all. Unfortunately for BMW, someone on the internet noticed this discrepancy

00:03:24.220 and asked BMW the following question, quote, how come you don't proudly display your logos and

00:03:29.160 pride colors on your Middle East post? And then for reasons that are not clear at all,

00:03:34.040 somebody at BMW decided to respond to that question. They wrote, quote, this is an established

00:03:39.500 practice at the BMW group, which also takes into consideration market-specific legal regulations

00:03:44.320 and country-specific cultural aspects. So that's the official explanation from BMW for why the pride

00:03:51.500 colors are for Western countries and not the Arab countries. We're just pandering is essentially what 0.62

00:03:57.780 they're saying. They're admitting that this isn't about activism or gay rights or whatever.

00:04:02.520 They're just adjusting their messaging for what they think people want to hear so they can make

00:04:07.320 money. Not exactly a major revelation here, but this kind of honesty from a major corporation is

00:04:13.080 unusual. And if you're the optimistic type, you might take it as a sign that things might be returning

00:04:18.060 to normal somewhat at some point in the near future. There are certainly other indications that corporate

00:04:25.300 America is finally retreating to some extent from this insanity. For example, last year, Microsoft's

00:04:31.900 Xbox brand removed their pride colors from their social media accounts for just four days in the

00:04:37.520 pride month. And this year, at least so far, they haven't made any change to the branding for pride

00:04:41.880 month whatsoever. They've also preemptively locked replies on Twitter and other platforms on some of

00:04:47.300 their pride month messaging. But for every positive sign like that, there are indications that we are, 0.95

00:04:53.200 in fact, backsliding further into the abyss. And for example, one of the social media accounts of the

00:04:58.180 Navy SEALs posted this image celebrating pride month. Here it is. You can see it. This is the

00:05:05.380 Navy Special Warfare Command flying the LGBTQ colors and lecturing us about equality and pride.

00:05:13.960 You won't find a better illustration for why the Navy is experiencing a massive recruitment shortfall

00:05:18.660 than this. It should go without saying, but the kind of people who appreciate these flags and

00:05:24.300 make their sexuality into their identity are generally not the kind of people who want to,

00:05:31.180 you know, endure grueling conditions and potentially sacrifice their lives behind enemy lines for

00:05:36.000 America. Like we want people in these positions who are focused on the mission and on the defense of

00:05:42.860 their country. That should be obvious to the Navy SEALs, but apparently it's not. And of course, that's not

00:05:48.200 even getting into the larger issue, which is that the government should not be participating in

00:05:52.740 activism. Period. And there's a lot of reasons for that. One of them is that in many cases,

00:05:59.540 it creates an obvious conflict of interest. Consider the fact that on Sunday, the FBI was

00:06:05.200 sashaying through the gay pride parade in West Hollywood. There were several FBI employees who were

00:06:10.100 wearing their FBI issued clothing, apparently followed by FBI vehicles in the parade. Watch.

00:06:22.740 Okay. There you go. Now this is the same FBI that under Merrick Garland and Christopher Wray has

00:06:31.700 launched investigations into parents who questioned the indoctrination of children at school board

00:06:36.500 meetings. You may remember that. Parents didn't like their kids reading books that vividly described

00:06:42.140 various gay encounters. So the school board groups complained and the FBI started looking into the

00:06:48.160 whole situation. And now that same FBI is marching at a parade that's explicitly a celebration of that

00:06:55.180 lifestyle. It was also a celebration of abortion too, which is why Planned Parenthood participated in

00:07:00.280 that pride parade. And of course, that's another conflict of interest because the FBI notoriously

00:07:04.600 doesn't seem to care very much about attacks on pro-life pregnancy centers, but they'll show up in 0.76

00:07:09.340 pre-dawn raids to Holloway pro-life protesters who dare to protest at abortion clinics. Now this parade in

00:07:16.120 West Hollywood, by the way, is traditionally one of the most disturbing and hyper-sexualized pride 1.00

00:07:21.020 parades that takes place every year. And this year was no different. I went through some of the footage

00:07:25.700 from the parade yesterday, but most of it's too graphic to even show you without blurring it.

00:07:31.000 But here's what, just to give you a idea, here's what I can show you. Watch.

00:07:36.600 A lot of boys wearing the midriff, but you don't see that much, uh, that style here.

00:07:43.180 I see a lot of skin today.

00:07:45.000 Yeah, there is a lot of skin. I think skin is very much on trend and in.

00:07:50.080 Okay.

00:07:50.700 I want to do a shout out really fast.

00:07:53.420 You're looking at Mr. Universe organization.

00:07:55.500 That's right.

00:07:56.240 Mr. Universe organization.

00:07:58.500 Yes.

00:07:58.680 Oh, and there we go.

00:08:01.420 No warning.

00:08:02.700 Just letting you know that this is float number 12, Mr. Rolling in with an important message.

00:08:08.500 It is Mr. Get Your Prep Online for free with Mr. They offer free online prep and STI testing

00:08:16.380 and no doctor's office, no needles, no paperwork, and free delivery.

00:08:21.460 Look, it's the nuns.

00:08:23.000 Oh, not the perpetual nuns.

00:08:25.200 Hello.

00:08:25.600 Oh, oh, no, no, no, no.

00:08:29.040 It's the hospital, the sisters of perpetual nuns. 0.96

00:08:31.140 Oh, and.

00:08:32.200 What has been your favorite part of this event so far?

00:08:35.280 I loved going out there and seeing all the kids, um, just living and being there with

00:08:40.820 their parents of all shapes and sizes and just seeing them having so much fun and giving

00:08:45.680 them fans and throwing candy and everything like that.

00:08:49.380 Okay.

00:08:49.820 So, uh, to do, uh, you know, cut around quite a bit, do some blurring, um, because with these

00:08:55.980 sorts of things, there's only so much we can actually show you, but it's a disturbing clip

00:08:59.500 in part because the local news station is broadcasting all of it enthusiastically as

00:09:03.040 if it's normal.

00:09:04.160 There's strippers on stripper poles. 1.00

00:09:05.760 There's men dressed as firefighters in their underwear.

00:09:07.980 There's an Abbey float with a cross with even more guys in their underwear.

00:09:11.840 There's nuns in drag. 1.00

00:09:13.240 There's men in BDSM gear.

00:09:15.820 There's a bunch of children there.

00:09:16.740 Some of them are even participating as, as you saw.

00:09:19.820 In fact, the commentators are celebrating the fact that there are so many kids in attendance

00:09:23.160 and there's so much skin being displayed as well.

00:09:26.460 This kind of thing, as grotesque as it is, wasn't just happening in West Hollywood.

00:09:30.280 At the supposedly family-friendly Dallas pride event this weekend, as Sarah Gonzalez and

00:09:34.220 Alex Stein reported, announcers made, uh, graphic jokes about genitals with children in

00:09:39.600 attendance.

00:09:40.580 There was also sexually explicit merchandise, which I can't even describe on air.

00:09:44.500 And, uh, a state representative was filmed bringing children to the event.

00:09:49.380 Watch.

00:09:50.920 Where are my bisexuals?

00:09:55.120 Bisexuals.

00:09:55.820 You're not really bisexual. 1.00

00:09:57.300 They're just sluts. 1.00

00:09:59.240 Oh, Cox Automotive. 1.00

00:10:01.460 Cox.

00:10:02.180 Well, you're in good company, except for the ladies who are a little grossed out by that. 1.00

00:10:07.460 You're blessed by Jesus. 0.98

00:10:16.940 Yeah, you need to stop taking kids to gay events. 1.00

00:10:19.880 Stop taking kids to gay events, you weirdo. 1.00

00:10:23.940 Are you really a state rep? 1.00

00:10:25.460 I am, I am.

00:10:26.400 Why don't you do something about the border?

00:10:27.860 What about the fentanyl crisis?

00:10:29.140 The border, oh my gosh.

00:10:30.080 We need to make the border more flexible.

00:10:33.040 We need more trade and commerce coming across the border.

00:10:36.300 What about all the drug cartels?

00:10:37.280 All the drug cartels.

00:10:38.580 Yes, we have to stop consumption over here in the United States.

00:10:41.340 That's a big market.

00:10:41.960 Yeah, I know.

00:10:41.980 Well, why don't you guys shut?

00:10:44.360 So, um, this is what pride means.

00:10:46.620 It's what every major power center in this country, from the FBI to the Navy SEALs to the

00:10:50.520 media, is supporting.

00:10:51.820 Even the VA hospital in Orlando is celebrating this.

00:10:55.040 Take a look at this footage here.

00:10:56.100 So, it's hard to see in the clip, but there's at least three pride-themed items in the lobby

00:11:03.200 at the hospital, including the flag.

00:11:06.660 It's also a little sign that tells patients to inform the receptionist of their pronouns.

00:11:11.280 Again, you talk about a recruitment crisis in the military, this isn't helping.

00:11:14.880 And it's shameful, obviously.

00:11:16.960 So, so is this event in Philadelphia, which just put on the largest drag queen story hour

00:11:21.640 for kids ever, at least according to Guinness records.

00:11:25.160 They're very proud of that.

00:11:26.320 Watch.

00:11:28.660 You had 263.

00:11:38.200 Drag story time is, of course, a literacy program. 0.88

00:11:41.660 Literacy is the foundation for success through life.

00:11:45.060 So, that's why we said never happened before.

00:11:47.660 Something felt different.

00:11:48.960 My mom told us all, we should go to bed early.

00:11:53.180 Get up with a free cran juice.

00:11:58.800 I was like, play.

00:12:01.060 Give them all a big round of applause.

00:12:02.800 So, as Meg Brock pointed out in response to this clip, the good news is that in a city of almost 1.6 million, only 263 people showed up.

00:12:16.540 That was the world record.

00:12:17.560 263 people at a drag event intended to indoctrinate children in a city of 1.6 million.

00:12:23.580 Now, that's 263 too many, of course.

00:12:26.080 But it does underscore the fact that this is not a mainstream ideology, at least not among normal people in public.

00:12:34.100 It is among our institutions.

00:12:36.480 But, in fact, beyond that, it's not even mainstream on the left at this point.

00:12:40.540 That's why not everything went according to the plan at the Philly Pride this year.

00:12:44.720 At one point, for example, pro-Gaza protesters ran into Pride Month protesters.

00:12:50.920 Now, if nothing else, The Clash provided the first moment of unintentional comedy so far in Pride Month.

00:12:57.040 And we're only, you know, a day or two into it.

00:12:58.720 Probably be seeing a lot more of this in the months to come.

00:13:01.360 Watch.

00:13:01.680 Watch.

00:13:20.000 Okay, so there's some aggressive drumming going on there.

00:13:45.080 And it's hard to tell who's on whose side on this one.

00:13:47.920 And so that's not exactly clear.

00:13:51.560 But this is, you know, a genre that will never get old.

00:13:54.580 It's watching left-wing intersectionality backfire.

00:13:57.920 And in this case, it literally backfired in an intersection, which is kind of nice.

00:14:02.780 You can pretty much guarantee that all of these Pride protesters are free Palestine people themselves.

00:14:08.620 There were free Palestine chants at the WeHo parade, for example.

00:14:12.160 But the real free Palestine people, the ones who actually understand what they're supporting, 1.00

00:14:15.560 don't take too kindly to Pride parades.

00:14:18.940 It's amazing to watch, like a defund-the-police congressman having to call the cops after he gets smacked by the reality of what he supports.

00:14:26.380 As the left continues to import more of the Arab world, they're going to have to get used to this sort of thing. 1.00

00:14:31.220 This is new, but it's not going away.

00:14:34.840 At the same time, for every indication that Pride Month is different this year, there was another reminder that not much has changed.

00:14:40.800 For example, Walmart just aired this Pride Month advertisement as if the whole Target boycott didn't happen last year.

00:14:47.820 They decided to charge ahead with this.

00:14:49.720 They don't appear to care that Target lost billions of dollars in market cap.

00:14:53.780 Watch.

00:14:54.100 Queer people have magic that we can share.

00:14:59.560 We're lucky enough to be in the Walmart Pride collection this year.

00:15:02.800 Total dream come true.

00:15:04.080 It's not every day that I see my products in a Walmart.

00:15:07.340 It's important to me to share my art.

00:15:10.260 No one can make the art that you make.

00:15:12.100 No one can say the things the way you say them.

00:15:14.500 There's a lot of opportunity to uplift with a bit of playfulness and imperfection.

00:15:19.080 The world needs to hear what you have to say and your story.

00:15:23.100 Queer people have magic, says Walmart. 1.00

00:15:28.240 As if you needed any more proof that LGBT activism is a secular religion, that's what you get there. 1.00

00:15:35.300 We're being literally told now that they have magical powers.

00:15:38.800 And as I discussed on Twitter recently, some of those popular children's content creators,

00:15:43.320 people whose videos are viewed by tens of millions of children, very young children all over the world,

00:15:49.100 are the biggest evangelists for this.

00:15:51.380 So take Rachel Accurso, for example, known by her stage name Miss Rachel. 0.81

00:15:56.520 She has more than 10 million subscribers on YouTube, where she's best known for her series Songs for Littles.

00:16:02.340 And these are videos that get hundreds of, tens of millions, sometimes hundreds of millions of views.

00:16:07.300 And for the most part, the videos themselves are mostly age-appropriate stuff, like nursery rhymes,

00:16:13.500 even if they are incredibly annoying.

00:16:15.680 But over the past year or so, Miss Rachel has started explicitly pushing LGBT indoctrination on her audience.

00:16:21.880 It wasn't hard to see this coming.

00:16:23.080 After all, Miss Rachel's co-host, Jules, identifies as a, quote,

00:16:25.980 white, non-binary, trans-mask human, and claims that, as a two-year-old,

00:16:32.040 she realized something's not right, quote-unquote, with her body.

00:16:35.540 And at 12, a teacher first exposed her to gender ideology.

00:16:39.660 And then the rest is history for her.

00:16:41.560 But early last year, things reportedly got more direct.

00:16:44.260 According to the Post Millennial, Miss Rachel personally invited Dylan Mulvaney on her program to sing a song for children.

00:16:50.060 And this is what Miss Rachel posted below one of Mulvaney's videos.

00:16:54.020 It said, quote,

00:16:55.200 Sometime when you're in NYC, you should be on our show, Song for Littles.

00:16:59.440 We love you and you're singing.

00:17:02.060 Now, if that wasn't bad enough, and if it wasn't clear enough that this woman hates the conservative parents 1.00

00:17:06.700 who account for a large portion of her audience,

00:17:09.740 Miss Rachel doubled down in a video celebrating Pride Month. 0.81

00:17:13.960 Here it is.

00:17:15.180 Happy Pride to all of our wonderful families and friends.

00:17:20.280 This month and every month, I celebrate you.

00:17:23.100 I'm so glad you're here.

00:17:25.220 I'm so glad you're exactly who you are.

00:17:28.080 To those who are going to comment they can't watch the show anymore because of the support,

00:17:32.160 no worries and much love your way.

00:17:34.460 God bless.

00:17:35.700 I am not chasing fame or views.

00:17:38.380 I'm standing strong in love.

00:17:41.000 So, she's very loving, she says.

00:17:44.220 Miss Rachel's approach is the loving one.

00:17:46.440 If you don't want your kids watching Dylan Mulvaney, and if you don't take your kids to family-friendly Pride events,

00:17:53.820 then you're a hateful person.

00:17:56.080 You know, the problem is with you. 0.99

00:17:57.400 You're a bigot, etc.

00:17:58.260 Of course, the real point here isn't to be loving.

00:18:03.140 As Jules has said, the point is to, quote,

00:18:05.360 encourage and nurture a sense of curiosity in kids,

00:18:08.560 and to teach them that there are infinite, quote-unquote, ways to exist in the world,

00:18:12.300 and, quote, one isn't better than another.

00:18:15.020 The point, in other words, is to indoctrinate more kids with lies and falsehoods.

00:18:19.820 And this is a falsehood, of course.

00:18:21.420 There are not actually infinite ways to exist.

00:18:25.040 When it comes to our sex, there are actually only two ways, male and female.

00:18:28.400 So, it's a very finite system.

00:18:31.040 And when it comes to the lifestyles and the choices that people make,

00:18:34.940 some indeed are better than others.

00:18:37.500 So, this message might be delivered with a smile,

00:18:40.100 but that doesn't make it any better or any less wrong, of course.

00:18:43.980 In any case, the indoctrination continued this weekend at the Queer Fam Jam in Chicago.

00:18:48.400 This event was sponsored by Lululemon, and Jules, the Miss Rachel co-host,

00:18:53.660 was a headline performer at the event.

00:18:55.640 Watch.

00:18:56.940 Well, a Pride Fest launched last year in Chicago, returned today,

00:19:00.100 this time at Millennium Park.

00:19:02.220 Hundreds of families from the LGBTQ plus community enjoying Queer Fam Pride Jam.

00:19:08.780 WGN's Sean Lewis has our report.

00:19:10.380 With the sun overhead and June underway,

00:19:16.540 the Queer Fam Pride Jam kicked off in a new location, Millennium Park.

00:19:25.100 It just makes me very proud to be a Chicagoan today.

00:19:27.560 And I think it's important that he sees that there's all kinds of people in this world

00:19:31.020 and all kinds of love in this world,

00:19:32.340 and not to be judgmental about it and just be open-minded and amazing.

00:19:36.180 You can't be what you can't see.

00:19:37.400 So, when you walk in and you're not one family, but you're one of many,

00:19:42.060 it's just the affirmation that that provides

00:19:44.380 and the hope to keep going and living in your truth,

00:19:47.880 it's just irreplaceable.

00:19:50.600 You can't be what you can't see, we're told.

00:19:54.160 And that really kind of sums it up.

00:19:55.200 So, these activists understand that their agenda must be foisted.

00:19:59.960 It must be imposed.

00:20:01.600 It has to be shown to people, particularly children.

00:20:04.640 Kids will not come up with any of this stuff on their own.

00:20:08.200 We knew the local news media wouldn't cover the whole story,

00:20:10.700 so the Daily Wire's field reporter, Spencer Lindquist,

00:20:13.180 was at the event in Chicago.

00:20:14.580 And here's some of the footage that he recorded.

00:20:17.000 Watch.

00:20:19.160 What'd you think about that?

00:20:20.760 Now you're not happy.

00:20:22.220 Here you go.

00:20:27.980 Here you go.

00:20:29.720 Two more ladies. 1.00

00:20:31.660 Two more.

00:20:33.760 Good.

00:20:34.560 Go, go.

00:20:35.480 Hold it.

00:20:38.120 Let's go, let's go.

00:20:39.820 I got you.

00:20:40.420 Okay, so lots of very young children there.

00:20:59.520 And the children were subjected to a grown man 0.99

00:21:01.320 in a skin-tight leopard print onesie with heels,

00:21:04.740 shaking his body around while collecting a dollar bill

00:21:07.020 from a small child.

00:21:07.900 The children were then trained in the gay vogue dance style

00:21:11.880 by a grown man learning to strut and shimmy, quote-unquote.

00:21:15.980 This is creepy, obviously, which is probably why the local news

00:21:18.540 didn't cover exactly what took place.

00:21:20.620 But it's a good illustration of the state of Pride Month 0.98

00:21:23.460 in the year 2024.

00:21:24.900 It's more explicitly targeted towards kids than ever before.

00:21:28.660 But there's also a sense of embarrassment about it.

00:21:32.920 If the Daily Wire hadn't been there,

00:21:34.320 it seems likely that nobody would have ever aired footage like that.

00:21:38.320 So they want to have these events.

00:21:39.860 They don't really want anyone.

00:21:40.680 They don't want anyone outside of the event

00:21:42.700 to see what's going on there.

00:21:45.260 What this means is that if you have kids,

00:21:47.880 it's never been more important to pay attention

00:21:49.960 to what they're watching, what events they're attending.

00:21:53.660 You can't just put on a kid-friendly YouTube show

00:21:56.760 and expect that everything's going to be fine.

00:21:58.480 It also means that everyone, whether they have kids or not,

00:22:03.200 needs to reject this insanity

00:22:05.100 because it appears the pushback so far

00:22:07.440 is having at least some effect.

00:22:09.980 And the stakes couldn't be more clear.

00:22:12.760 Only a disturbed, doomed culture celebrates pride. 0.88

00:22:17.140 That's biblical wisdom that happens to be common sense.

00:22:20.980 And with every depraved, supposedly family-friendly event

00:22:23.820 that's exposed this month,

00:22:26.140 hopefully many more people finally will wake up to that fact.

00:22:31.240 Now let's get to our five headlines.

00:22:32.580 Are you still struggling with back taxes or unfiled returns?

00:22:41.540 This year, the IRS is escalating collections

00:22:43.220 by adding 20,000 new agents

00:22:44.940 and sending millions of demand letters.

00:22:47.220 Now the tax season is over, collection season has begun.

00:22:50.080 Handling this alone can be a huge mistake

00:22:51.860 and cost you thousands of dollars.

00:23:42.040 So let's start with some cringe.

00:23:44.380 We're gonna dive right into the deep end

00:23:45.740 with this pure grade A cringe here.

00:23:48.160 This is the military grade stuff.

00:23:51.020 Okay, this is something.

00:23:54.400 Up in Canada, which of course

00:23:55.980 is the cringiest country on earth,

00:23:57.360 next to Australia.

00:23:59.520 They're working on a bill

00:24:00.760 to lower the voting age to 16.

00:24:03.840 And that's not the cringy part.

00:24:04.820 Well, it is cringy, but it gets worse.

00:24:07.640 Senator Bernadette Clement

00:24:09.260 is a supporter of that bill

00:24:12.040 and she wanted to express her support for it.

00:24:15.540 And she decided to express her support

00:24:17.920 this way.

00:24:20.040 Watch.

00:24:20.400 Now bear with me

00:24:22.480 as I go into my last paragraph here

00:24:24.340 because I had this part translated

00:24:26.560 into Gen Z for us.

00:24:30.880 Honourable fam,

00:24:32.600 waiting to vote until 18

00:24:34.020 is a big yikes and mad shuggy. 0.89

00:24:37.060 But S201 hits different.

00:24:39.720 Today's youth slays and stays bussing.

00:24:42.080 That's why we gotta give them a chance

00:24:43.460 to clap back.

00:24:44.880 If not, how will we be able to say

00:24:46.760 that they ate that up?

00:24:47.800 No cap, this bill slaps

00:24:49.820 and is electoral glow up.

00:24:52.000 I am its number one stan for real.

00:24:55.080 Merci, thank you, Niawa.

00:25:00.540 My God.

00:25:01.820 God help us.

00:25:02.860 God help us all.

00:25:05.020 You know, up until now,

00:25:06.460 the most out of touch

00:25:07.560 and embarrassing attempt

00:25:09.780 to appeal to the youth

00:25:10.980 I'd ever seen in my life

00:25:13.380 was probably when I went

00:25:14.960 to a Christian youth camp as a kid.

00:25:17.800 Which is where a lot of

00:25:19.020 cringy, embarrassing attempts

00:25:21.620 to appeal to the youth occur.

00:25:23.180 But anyway,

00:25:24.560 went to one when I was a kid

00:25:25.740 and there was a priest

00:25:27.080 who broke into a freestyle rap

00:25:29.520 on stage.

00:25:31.780 Freestyle rap about how we should,

00:25:33.420 I don't know.

00:25:34.340 I can't remember what the subject was.

00:25:37.080 About how Jesus is awesome

00:25:38.420 or something along those lines.

00:25:39.680 So, up until this moment,

00:25:43.560 that was the pinnacle

00:25:45.240 of this particular brand of cringe

00:25:47.320 that I'd ever witnessed.

00:25:48.800 But I think this beats it.

00:25:49.780 I think that this comes out on top.

00:25:51.960 And more importantly, of course,

00:25:54.300 letting 16-year-olds vote 0.83

00:25:55.840 is an insane idea.

00:25:58.500 I mean, it's Canada.

00:25:59.240 So, what difference does it make

00:26:01.580 at this point?

00:26:02.120 You could say.

00:26:03.060 If Canada wants to speed up

00:26:04.420 its own march

00:26:05.400 into its own self-annihilation,

00:26:08.140 then that's Canada's choice.

00:26:10.240 I have no dog in the fight, really.

00:26:12.460 But it's worth addressing

00:26:13.700 because lowering the voting age

00:26:15.040 is an idea that has

00:26:16.040 a fair amount of support

00:26:17.060 in this country also.

00:26:18.820 In fact, you know,

00:26:19.880 unless there's some kind of

00:26:21.200 sudden, miraculous restoration

00:26:23.020 of basic common sense

00:26:24.400 in this country,

00:26:25.120 I suspect that the voting age

00:26:26.880 in the U.S. will be lowered

00:26:29.100 at some point

00:26:31.480 in the next probably 10 years.

00:26:33.340 And what makes this inevitable

00:26:34.620 is that politicians,

00:26:35.760 especially Democrat politicians,

00:26:37.600 have a vested interest

00:26:39.780 in lowering the voting age.

00:26:43.000 That's why anything

00:26:43.660 that actually happens,

00:26:44.880 anything they really get done,

00:26:46.080 it only gets done

00:26:46.820 because it serves their purposes,

00:26:49.200 obviously, and this would.

00:26:53.040 And it helps them

00:26:53.820 because 16-year-olds 1.00

00:26:55.180 are naive and ignorant 1.00

00:26:57.660 and that's what politicians love. 1.00

00:27:01.260 Politicians love naive 1.00

00:27:02.360 and ignorant voters 1.00

00:27:03.460 because they're easier 1.00

00:27:05.400 to manipulate.

00:27:07.100 Now, of course,

00:27:07.460 we already have millions 1.00

00:27:08.740 of naive and ignorant 1.00

00:27:09.780 adult voters 1.00

00:27:10.620 who collectively are

00:27:12.740 ushering us

00:27:14.040 into our national ruination.

00:27:16.320 So that's already happening,

00:27:17.820 but there can never be enough.

00:27:19.000 From the perspective

00:27:19.740 of our political leaders,

00:27:21.580 you can never get enough

00:27:22.600 of those kinds of voters.

00:27:24.920 And that's the only reason

00:27:27.000 why anybody in a position of power

00:27:28.480 would want to lower

00:27:29.080 the voting age.

00:27:30.040 It is specifically

00:27:31.120 so that they can increase 0.99

00:27:32.960 the number of ignorant, 1.00

00:27:35.160 intellectually malleable voters. 1.00

00:27:39.060 And really lowering

00:27:42.300 the voting age,

00:27:42.960 although it's an insane thing to do,

00:27:45.820 it's just a logical extension

00:27:47.960 of our current approach

00:27:49.380 to voting anyway.

00:27:51.180 Because most people

00:27:52.300 already believe

00:27:53.180 that voting is a universal

00:27:54.580 human right,

00:27:55.960 which it isn't,

00:27:57.460 something that everybody

00:27:59.120 should participate in,

00:28:00.740 which they shouldn't,

00:28:02.400 and that it doesn't matter

00:28:04.060 if somebody is clueless,

00:28:05.320 it doesn't matter

00:28:05.780 if they have no skin in the game,

00:28:07.080 it doesn't matter

00:28:07.440 if they're not contributing

00:28:08.380 members of society,

00:28:09.400 they should all still vote.

00:28:11.060 That is the popular perception.

00:28:14.280 And it's completely wrong.

00:28:15.200 Now, this idea that

00:28:17.600 the most important thing

00:28:19.200 is just for lots of people

00:28:21.200 to be voting.

00:28:22.180 That's the prevailing attitude.

00:28:24.840 Now, granted,

00:28:27.040 nobody actually believes that.

00:28:31.260 That's not a view

00:28:32.180 that anyone actually holds.

00:28:35.220 Because when it comes down to it,

00:28:37.120 even the people that say,

00:28:39.900 well, it's a universal right

00:28:40.920 whenever to vote.

00:28:41.960 Well, no, they want more

00:28:43.360 of their own people to vote.

00:28:45.200 Of course.

00:28:48.120 So nobody really believes that,

00:28:49.760 but that's what people

00:28:50.740 pretend to believe.

00:28:52.480 And based on that attitude,

00:28:53.920 sure, why not have

00:28:54.680 16-year-olds vote?

00:28:56.120 Why not have 12-year-olds vote? 0.97

00:28:58.660 Why not have babies

00:28:59.960 register to vote

00:29:00.960 at the same time

00:29:02.200 that their birth certificates

00:29:03.120 are issued?

00:29:03.720 I mean, why not?

00:29:05.660 I can think of a million reasons

00:29:07.140 why not,

00:29:07.780 but we already reject

00:29:08.940 all of those reasons.

00:29:09.980 because in reality,

00:29:15.140 as I've been shouting

00:29:16.100 to no avail

00:29:17.440 for years now,

00:29:19.700 I've been shouting

00:29:20.500 from the rooftops

00:29:21.740 quite uselessly, really,

00:29:27.180 but still,

00:29:29.120 it bears repeating anyway

00:29:31.560 that the problem with voting

00:29:34.620 is that too many people do it.

00:29:36.220 That is,

00:29:36.900 that's our actual problem.

00:29:37.860 It's not,

00:29:38.220 it's not a lack of participation.

00:29:40.040 It's not a lack of,

00:29:41.480 you know,

00:29:42.480 when voter turnout

00:29:44.160 is lower,

00:29:45.280 that's not a problem

00:29:46.300 that we should be worried about.

00:29:49.820 Okay?

00:29:50.380 If voting,

00:29:50.960 if voter turnout

00:29:51.620 in a particular election

00:29:52.660 is 10%,

00:29:53.720 is down 10%

00:29:54.940 from the election cycle before,

00:29:57.600 we shouldn't say,

00:29:58.520 oh no,

00:29:58.700 it's down 10%.

00:29:59.700 We should say,

00:30:00.260 okay,

00:30:00.500 it's down 10%.

00:30:01.460 It's still like 80% higher

00:30:04.360 than it should be.

00:30:05.540 Like,

00:30:05.720 there's still,

00:30:06.220 we need to cut off

00:30:07.060 another 80%.

00:30:07.760 Probably,

00:30:08.380 probably of the people

00:30:10.440 who vote,

00:30:10.860 maybe like 10% of them

00:30:12.120 should be.

00:30:13.360 Maybe 10% are qualified

00:30:15.100 to be voting.

00:30:17.920 If we actually cared

00:30:19.200 about the future

00:30:19.800 of our country,

00:30:20.380 then this is the kind

00:30:21.360 of conversation

00:30:21.880 we'd be having,

00:30:22.620 but we just,

00:30:23.160 we can't.

00:30:24.920 And,

00:30:25.280 the problem is that,

00:30:27.580 again,

00:30:27.940 our elected representatives,

00:30:31.360 I mean,

00:30:31.680 they have no interest in this.

00:30:33.520 They're not going to ever talk

00:30:34.820 about actually excluding people

00:30:37.300 from voting

00:30:38.500 because it's,

00:30:39.300 you know,

00:30:39.540 politically suicidal thing to say.

00:30:41.880 But also because,

00:30:42.720 again,

00:30:42.860 it cuts against their own interests.

00:30:45.620 Why would they want

00:30:46.620 to do anything

00:30:47.440 that ensures

00:30:48.580 a more invested,

00:30:50.700 more knowledgeable voting base?

00:30:52.340 They don't want that.

00:30:53.960 That's the worst thing

00:30:54.940 for these people.

00:30:57.280 And the, 1.00

00:30:57.820 and the dumber 1.00

00:30:58.420 our elected representatives get, 1.00

00:30:59.860 the more that that's the case.

00:31:01.940 Like, 1.00

00:31:02.340 the dumber they get, 1.00

00:31:03.380 the dumber they need 1.00

00:31:04.060 the voters to be. 1.00

00:31:09.500 Yeah,

00:31:09.920 when we played that,

00:31:10.780 that,

00:31:11.700 that Jerry Springer,

00:31:13.020 you know,

00:31:13.800 Waffle House showdown

00:31:15.200 that happened

00:31:15.820 at a congressional hearing

00:31:17.340 a couple weeks ago

00:31:18.140 with Jasmine Crockett

00:31:19.980 and Marjorie Taylor Greene

00:31:21.560 and AOC,

00:31:23.220 and the whole thing

00:31:24.020 just completely embarrassing

00:31:25.040 and humiliating

00:31:25.780 for everybody involved

00:31:26.720 but also for the country.

00:31:28.540 But that's the kind of thing

00:31:29.920 that

00:31:30.260 if,

00:31:32.460 if you had only

00:31:33.620 knowledgeable,

00:31:35.080 fully invested,

00:31:36.460 contributing members

00:31:37.180 of society voting,

00:31:38.580 that would never happen

00:31:39.700 because none of those people

00:31:40.860 would be in office.

00:31:41.740 They would,

00:31:42.160 they,

00:31:42.500 it wouldn't be possible

00:31:43.460 for them to get elected.

00:31:47.500 But they are

00:31:48.500 because

00:31:48.920 this is the direction

00:31:50.620 we're going instead.

00:31:51.320 So I guess

00:31:53.600 this is a way

00:31:53.940 of saying like,

00:31:54.700 okay,

00:31:55.240 yeah,

00:31:55.560 it's crazy

00:31:56.080 to allow 16-year-olds

00:31:57.020 to vote

00:31:57.360 but at this point,

00:31:59.020 but whatever,

00:31:59.880 it's just,

00:32:00.640 it doesn't,

00:32:01.040 it doesn't even matter.

00:32:02.240 It honestly

00:32:02.740 just doesn't even matter.

00:32:06.060 I suspect

00:32:06.780 we'll eventually

00:32:07.480 get to a point

00:32:08.400 where even

00:32:09.260 if our elected

00:32:09.780 representatives

00:32:10.280 don't want to have

00:32:10.860 the conversation,

00:32:11.660 at least there will be

00:32:12.340 a critical mass

00:32:13.300 of,

00:32:14.620 of normal

00:32:15.600 Americans

00:32:16.680 who are ready

00:32:17.300 to talk about this,

00:32:18.880 to ready to actually

00:32:19.780 fundamentally question

00:32:21.340 what so many

00:32:23.120 accept as like

00:32:23.980 a religious dogma

00:32:25.680 that there is

00:32:27.300 this universal

00:32:28.140 right to vote

00:32:28.820 and everyone

00:32:29.180 should be able

00:32:29.640 to do it.

00:32:29.920 It's just completely

00:32:30.680 false.

00:32:31.420 It was never

00:32:32.180 how our country

00:32:32.760 was set up.

00:32:33.640 You cannot have

00:32:34.460 a functioning country

00:32:35.680 that works that way.

00:32:36.940 You just can't.

00:32:39.640 No,

00:32:40.160 not everyone

00:32:41.040 should have a say

00:32:41.980 in the direction

00:32:43.520 of the country.

00:32:44.500 No.

00:32:45.520 Why should everyone?

00:32:46.460 Just because you exist?

00:32:47.880 Just because you exist?

00:32:49.180 You should have a say.

00:32:50.480 Why? 1.00

00:32:52.000 If you're a moron 1.00

00:32:53.160 and you have no clue 1.00

00:32:54.160 what's happening

00:32:54.720 in your own country,

00:32:56.160 if I were to ask you

00:32:58.080 the branches of government

00:32:58.980 and you couldn't even

00:32:59.480 tell me,

00:33:00.800 if you're not a

00:33:02.040 contributing member

00:33:02.720 of society,

00:33:04.060 if you're not

00:33:05.060 doing anything,

00:33:06.580 why the hell

00:33:07.560 should you have

00:33:07.920 any say at all?

00:33:09.580 Well,

00:33:09.800 just because I'm me.

00:33:10.760 Well,

00:33:10.860 I don't care if you're you. 0.94

00:33:13.260 I'm a human being.

00:33:14.220 Okay,

00:33:14.420 well,

00:33:14.540 you're a human being.

00:33:15.100 Great.

00:33:15.300 You have a fundamental

00:33:17.000 moral worth

00:33:17.780 as a human being.

00:33:19.180 That doesn't mean

00:33:19.820 that your perspective

00:33:21.080 on who should lead

00:33:22.540 the country

00:33:22.940 has any value

00:33:23.920 at all.

00:33:26.780 Eventually,

00:33:27.200 we get to a point

00:33:27.700 where we're all ready

00:33:28.360 to have this.

00:33:28.940 Maybe not all of us,

00:33:30.060 but enough of us

00:33:30.840 are ready to have

00:33:31.280 this conversation

00:33:31.880 that there can even

00:33:32.600 be a conversation.

00:33:33.780 But right now,

00:33:35.280 we're just not there.

00:33:37.180 All right.

00:33:39.380 It's from the Daily Wire.

00:33:40.300 Where the six-foot

00:33:41.120 social distancing

00:33:42.060 guideline pushed

00:33:42.900 by public health

00:33:43.500 officials during

00:33:44.040 the COVID-19 pandemic

00:33:45.400 apparently lacked

00:33:46.660 any sound basis

00:33:47.620 in science,

00:33:48.280 according to the testimony

00:33:49.320 of former chief medical

00:33:50.320 advisor of the president,

00:33:51.300 Anthony Fauci.

00:33:52.780 Fauci,

00:33:53.220 the former director

00:33:53.780 of the National Institute

00:33:54.660 of Allergy and Infectious Diseases,

00:33:56.580 advised former

00:33:57.180 President Donald Trump,

00:33:57.960 of course,

00:33:58.400 we know about all that,

00:34:00.960 advised Donald Trump

00:34:01.840 and current President Joe Biden

00:34:03.340 on the U.S. response

00:34:04.060 to COVID-19,

00:34:04.800 carrying significant influence

00:34:06.120 over infectious disease policies.

00:34:08.100 Fauci appeared on Capitol Hill

00:34:09.120 in January

00:34:09.900 to testify behind closed doors

00:34:12.360 to members of the select

00:34:13.400 subcommittee

00:34:14.000 on the COVID-19 pandemic.

00:34:18.140 These transcripts,

00:34:19.260 and if you're wondering

00:34:19.900 why we're just hearing this now,

00:34:21.120 the transcripts,

00:34:22.120 we don't have video of this,

00:34:23.080 but the transcripts

00:34:23.740 were just released on Friday.

00:34:27.380 And so now,

00:34:27.820 we're just finding out

00:34:28.780 about some of this.

00:34:30.700 One line of questioning

00:34:31.500 from the Republican Council

00:34:32.420 focused on the six-foot

00:34:33.520 social distancing standard.

00:34:36.240 Fauci was asked

00:34:36.800 where the standard originated.

00:34:39.120 The former federal health official

00:34:40.300 suggested that the standard

00:34:41.180 was arbitrary

00:34:41.800 without a hard basis in data.

00:34:44.440 Fauci said,

00:34:44.900 quote,

00:34:45.320 you know,

00:34:45.600 I don't recall.

00:34:46.280 It sort of just appeared.

00:34:48.220 I don't recall,

00:34:49.120 like,

00:34:49.380 a discussion of whether

00:34:50.360 it should be five or six

00:34:51.520 or whatever.

00:34:55.280 That's just incredible.

00:34:56.480 None of this is surprising.

00:34:57.680 We know that.

00:34:58.400 We already knew

00:34:59.260 all of this,

00:34:59.920 basically,

00:35:00.340 but

00:35:00.500 it is still

00:35:03.400 just outrageous.

00:35:08.460 These were

00:35:09.100 not just guidelines.

00:35:11.280 These were policies

00:35:12.140 that were put in place.

00:35:13.340 People were forced to,

00:35:14.940 or at least they attempted

00:35:15.920 to force people

00:35:16.800 to abide by it.

00:35:19.280 And now,

00:35:19.960 the guy behind it,

00:35:21.080 he's asked,

00:35:22.000 like,

00:35:22.100 where did that come from?

00:35:23.660 Why did you tell?

00:35:24.640 Well,

00:35:24.860 I don't know.

00:35:25.440 It appeared.

00:35:27.040 The guidelines appeared

00:35:28.020 out of thin air.

00:35:28.900 They just,

00:35:30.160 magically.

00:35:31.100 They descended down

00:35:32.360 from heaven.

00:35:34.980 I don't know.

00:35:35.420 It's like Mount Sinai.

00:35:36.620 They were decreed.

00:35:37.760 Is that what happened?

00:35:41.560 In response to a question

00:35:42.680 if Fauci had seen

00:35:43.540 any studies supporting

00:35:44.760 the six-foot standard,

00:35:45.900 Fauci responded

00:35:46.520 in the negative.

00:35:47.860 I was not aware

00:35:48.540 of studies that,

00:35:49.200 in fact,

00:35:49.580 that would be

00:35:49.960 a very difficult,

00:35:50.920 I was not aware

00:35:52.980 of studies that,

00:35:53.940 in fact,

00:35:54.820 that would be

00:35:55.200 a very difficult

00:35:55.800 study to do.

00:35:57.780 Okay.

00:35:59.020 Also in his testimony,

00:35:59.840 the GOP counsel

00:36:00.440 asked Fauci

00:36:01.120 if he had seen evidence

00:36:02.120 to support the masking

00:36:03.080 of children.

00:36:05.320 Fauci said,

00:36:05.860 you know,

00:36:06.100 I might have,

00:36:06.740 Mitch,

00:36:06.880 but I don't recall

00:36:07.440 specifically that I did.

00:36:08.580 I might have.

00:36:14.800 So,

00:36:15.500 this is another thing

00:36:16.460 that kids were forced

00:36:17.900 to mask in school.

00:36:20.220 Like,

00:36:20.840 you may recall,

00:36:21.700 this was a big,

00:36:22.400 a big fight

00:36:24.220 for, like,

00:36:25.220 multiple years.

00:36:26.780 And people said

00:36:29.140 that it's crazy

00:36:29.860 to make kids

00:36:30.500 wear masks

00:36:31.200 all day at school

00:36:32.000 or anywhere.

00:36:33.860 We were shouted down,

00:36:35.640 shut down.

00:36:36.420 We were,

00:36:36.980 you know,

00:36:37.380 there was a long

00:36:39.380 period of time

00:36:40.140 where you couldn't

00:36:40.620 even say it

00:36:41.300 on social media.

00:36:42.660 You couldn't say it

00:36:43.180 on YouTube.

00:36:43.700 And now Fauci

00:36:47.280 admits that,

00:36:48.060 you know,

00:36:48.660 there might have,

00:36:49.080 well,

00:36:49.260 I don't know.

00:36:49.680 Yeah,

00:36:49.860 maybe I saw a study

00:36:51.680 that supported that,

00:36:52.760 but I don't know.

00:36:55.820 This is,

00:36:56.460 but here's the thing.

00:36:57.060 This is the,

00:36:58.360 this whole story

00:36:59.720 is the,

00:37:01.520 it's the biggest,

00:37:03.640 it's,

00:37:04.440 it's like the black pill

00:37:05.720 of all black pills

00:37:06.800 this is

00:37:08.900 because

00:37:09.340 there,

00:37:11.340 there is simply

00:37:12.920 no accountability.

00:37:15.340 Nobody will ever

00:37:16.480 be held accountable

00:37:17.260 for any of this.

00:37:20.020 I'm sure you've

00:37:20.940 maybe come to terms

00:37:23.360 with that.

00:37:23.740 You've probably

00:37:24.200 realized that by now,

00:37:25.440 whether or not

00:37:25.740 you've come to terms

00:37:26.260 with it,

00:37:26.440 you've realized it,

00:37:27.540 that nobody will ever

00:37:29.000 be held accountable

00:37:29.700 for any of this.

00:37:30.440 they shut down

00:37:32.840 the country.

00:37:34.520 They did untold

00:37:35.980 damage,

00:37:36.780 economic damage,

00:37:37.920 damage to people's,

00:37:39.480 you know,

00:37:40.380 real damage

00:37:42.100 to people's mental health

00:37:43.080 as much as I don't

00:37:43.900 often like that,

00:37:45.800 that phrase

00:37:46.740 and what it implies.

00:37:47.620 But in this case,

00:37:48.440 like doing real damage

00:37:49.440 to people psychologically,

00:37:51.260 financially,

00:37:53.620 physically,

00:37:54.380 you know,

00:37:57.580 suspending basically

00:37:59.220 all of our

00:37:59.900 constitutional rights

00:38:00.860 and here we are

00:38:03.460 a few years later

00:38:04.280 and they can't tell us,

00:38:08.580 give us any reason

00:38:09.300 why any of this was done.

00:38:11.600 The guys behind it

00:38:12.800 cannot tell us

00:38:13.500 why any of this was done.

00:38:14.480 They have no justification

00:38:15.340 for it.

00:38:18.400 But there will be

00:38:19.160 no accountability.

00:38:21.640 No one's going to jail.

00:38:24.120 No one is,

00:38:24.600 no one's even getting fined

00:38:25.760 or anything.

00:38:26.340 Like there's not going

00:38:26.800 to be anything.

00:38:27.300 There won't even be

00:38:28.540 a slap on the wrist.

00:38:30.500 Not even so much

00:38:31.300 as a literal slap

00:38:32.340 like they used to do

00:38:34.200 in school,

00:38:34.660 maybe with a ruler,

00:38:35.380 just a quick tap

00:38:36.040 on the wrist.

00:38:37.580 There won't even be that.

00:38:39.040 There will be nothing.

00:38:41.660 And there,

00:38:42.300 you know,

00:38:42.560 there are a few reasons

00:38:43.240 for that.

00:38:45.540 One is the fact

00:38:46.460 that the American public

00:38:47.680 does have the memory

00:38:50.360 and attention span

00:38:51.240 of a fruit fly.

00:38:52.240 And so we just can't

00:38:54.880 stay focused on one thing

00:38:56.200 for that long.

00:38:57.700 And once something

00:38:58.540 is in the past,

00:38:59.500 we say,

00:38:59.960 oh, it's in the past.

00:39:00.780 Who cares?

00:39:01.060 It doesn't matter anymore.

00:39:01.900 Let's go on to the next thing.

00:39:03.060 What's the next big controversy?

00:39:04.100 But even more than that,

00:39:08.160 the real reason

00:39:09.180 why nobody will be

00:39:09.860 held accountable

00:39:10.380 is that

00:39:11.200 that this was

00:39:13.800 a tyranny,

00:39:15.760 the COVID tyranny.

00:39:17.500 It was imposed

00:39:18.860 by

00:39:19.640 pretty much

00:39:21.440 the whole political class,

00:39:22.980 by the whole ruling,

00:39:23.860 the whole ruling class.

00:39:25.580 Republican,

00:39:26.160 Democrat,

00:39:26.700 Democrat,

00:39:27.200 very few people

00:39:30.240 at that level

00:39:31.120 are actually innocent

00:39:32.620 in this thing.

00:39:36.300 And that's why

00:39:36.940 no one is going

00:39:37.560 to be held accountable

00:39:38.040 because there is no one

00:39:39.040 to do the holding.

00:39:40.100 In order to be held accountable,

00:39:41.900 there has to be someone

00:39:42.740 who has the power to do it.

00:39:45.340 But all the people

00:39:46.080 that have the power to do it

00:39:46.940 are also responsible for this.

00:39:48.720 So

00:39:48.920 there's just an agreement

00:39:52.440 among all of them

00:39:53.200 that, yeah,

00:39:53.760 we're not going to,

00:39:55.360 I mean,

00:39:55.660 we'll do the hearings

00:39:56.320 and stuff like that,

00:39:57.200 but we're not going to

00:39:58.420 actually do anything

00:39:59.420 about any of this

00:40:00.060 and we're not going to

00:40:00.600 send anyone to jail.

00:40:01.800 Certainly not.

00:40:04.540 We're going to

00:40:05.360 kind of cover the bases

00:40:07.320 symbolically

00:40:08.360 and then move on

00:40:09.200 like it never happened.

00:40:11.920 All right,

00:40:12.360 if that wasn't depressing enough,

00:40:13.380 let's do another one.

00:40:14.280 It's the New York Post.

00:40:14.980 It says,

00:40:15.200 a young Dutch woman

00:40:16.020 finally got her tragic wish

00:40:17.400 to die by assisted suicide.

00:40:18.940 29-year-old Zaria Terbeek's life

00:40:21.140 was terminated last week

00:40:22.340 after waiting three years

00:40:23.460 for final approval

00:40:24.320 for euthanasia,

00:40:25.360 which is legal in the Netherlands

00:40:26.980 if the patient is deemed

00:40:27.860 to be experiencing

00:40:28.540 unbearable suffering

00:40:29.600 with no prospect

00:40:30.500 of improvement.

00:40:31.760 Terbeek was diagnosed

00:40:32.480 with autism

00:40:33.080 when she was 21.

00:40:34.480 By the time she was 22,

00:40:35.320 she wore a

00:40:36.420 do not resuscitate tag

00:40:37.440 around her neck.

00:40:39.840 She reportedly

00:40:40.480 had been hoping

00:40:40.900 to end her life

00:40:41.500 since she was a child

00:40:42.420 as she was bullied

00:40:43.220 growing up

00:40:43.800 and often felt like

00:40:44.640 she didn't fit in.

00:40:45.420 and she struggled

00:40:49.840 with depression,

00:40:50.520 anxiety,

00:40:52.040 personality disorders,

00:40:54.640 wanted to assist

00:40:57.240 in suicide,

00:40:57.960 waited three years

00:40:58.840 and now she got it.

00:41:00.020 So she's now

00:41:01.160 no longer with us.

00:41:06.300 And we've been following

00:41:07.300 this case over the last year

00:41:08.440 or so.

00:41:09.240 So if you listen to the show,

00:41:11.380 you've heard about this woman

00:41:12.180 and now the case has reached

00:41:14.740 its very unfortunate

00:41:15.920 though probably

00:41:16.520 inevitable conclusion.

00:41:18.680 And this is a woman

00:41:19.220 who just to review

00:41:20.060 what we read

00:41:20.540 and what we've covered,

00:41:21.320 this is a woman

00:41:22.100 who did not have

00:41:23.160 any physical illness,

00:41:24.700 much less a terminal one.

00:41:26.400 She was perfectly

00:41:27.340 physically healthy,

00:41:28.660 but she was depressed

00:41:29.920 and she was bullied

00:41:30.800 and so,

00:41:31.700 and she was anxious

00:41:32.520 and so she wanted

00:41:33.340 to be put down.

00:41:34.740 And after waiting on a,

00:41:35.780 after waiting on a wait list,

00:41:38.020 a suicide wait list,

00:41:40.460 she was finally killed.

00:41:43.000 Now she was very vocal

00:41:44.240 about her situation.

00:41:45.140 She wanted her case 1.00

00:41:45.760 to be used as a kind of a means

00:41:47.220 to promote assisted suicide

00:41:48.700 even more.

00:41:50.020 But I think it's

00:41:50.980 tragically instructive

00:41:52.320 the other way

00:41:53.040 because it perfectly

00:41:54.380 encapsulates all of the worst

00:41:55.860 things about euthanasia.

00:41:57.800 It shows why euthanasia

00:41:59.220 should not be legal,

00:42:00.320 why it should not be allowed.

00:42:01.480 And it shows most of all

00:42:03.080 the inherent contradiction

00:42:05.240 of the whole thing.

00:42:07.680 Like the whole thing relies

00:42:09.040 on a kind of collective

00:42:10.660 cognitive dissonance

00:42:12.200 in any society

00:42:14.540 that accepts it.

00:42:15.620 There's this disconnect

00:42:18.280 that underlies

00:42:21.820 euthanasia

00:42:23.640 and the euthanasia agenda.

00:42:25.620 And here's why.

00:42:28.060 So just,

00:42:28.840 here's a thought experiment,

00:42:30.260 a hypothetical.

00:42:31.020 Imagine this.

00:42:32.500 Imagine

00:42:32.940 if I

00:42:34.720 was driving over a bridge

00:42:37.460 and I happen to see

00:42:39.360 a young woman,

00:42:40.000 say a young woman

00:42:40.640 named Zariah,

00:42:42.500 standing at the edge

00:42:43.560 of the bridge.

00:42:45.120 And now imagine

00:42:45.760 that I pull over

00:42:46.920 and I approach

00:42:47.900 and I ask her,

00:42:49.080 you know,

00:42:49.380 what's wrong?

00:42:49.920 And imagine that she tells me

00:42:50.940 that her life isn't worth

00:42:52.320 living anymore

00:42:52.760 and she's depressed

00:42:53.400 and she's been bullied 0.98

00:42:54.120 and she wants to kill herself. 0.98

00:42:56.640 Okay? 0.99

00:42:57.560 Now imagine

00:42:58.340 that I respond

00:42:59.440 by saying,

00:43:00.280 okay, well,

00:43:01.000 good luck then.

00:43:02.800 And I get in my car

00:43:03.640 and I drive away.

00:43:04.180 Maybe in my rear view mirror

00:43:06.720 I can see her,

00:43:07.540 you know,

00:43:08.320 tumbling over the edge.

00:43:10.400 If I were to respond

00:43:11.700 to a suicidal person

00:43:13.360 that way,

00:43:14.320 not attempting

00:43:15.340 to dissuade them,

00:43:16.780 not calling the police,

00:43:18.280 but rather just

00:43:19.560 accepting their wishes, 0.98

00:43:21.900 so she wants to die, 1.00

00:43:23.540 it's her right to die. 0.99

00:43:25.400 Maybe I even say that. 0.78

00:43:26.280 What if I said that?

00:43:26.880 What if I said,

00:43:27.840 okay, well,

00:43:28.220 you know,

00:43:28.480 that's your right.

00:43:30.540 See you later.

00:43:32.760 If I did that

00:43:33.800 nearly everyone

00:43:35.140 would agree

00:43:35.820 rightfully 0.97

00:43:36.780 that I'm a monster.

00:43:41.160 There are plenty

00:43:41.620 of people who think

00:43:42.000 I'm a monster anyway,

00:43:42.840 but let's,

00:43:43.280 let's,

00:43:43.840 you know,

00:43:44.440 leave that aside.

00:43:46.180 Nearly everyone

00:43:46.900 would think that,

00:43:48.620 including nearly everyone

00:43:49.920 who supports euthanasia.

00:43:52.500 Okay?

00:43:53.020 But in that case,

00:43:54.960 they would,

00:43:55.860 those people would say,

00:43:57.180 well,

00:43:57.280 how could you?

00:43:58.740 She was going to kill herself?

00:43:59.600 You just let her do it? 1.00

00:44:01.520 What kind of psychopath 1.00

00:44:03.080 are you? 1.00

00:44:04.920 Now,

00:44:05.360 the contradiction here

00:44:06.320 is totally irreconcilable.

00:44:09.320 In fact,

00:44:10.060 in the case of

00:44:10.740 jumping off the bridge,

00:44:12.900 nearly everyone

00:44:13.920 would agree that,

00:44:14.700 that not only should

00:44:16.020 I try to dissuade her,

00:44:17.000 but that I can,

00:44:17.860 and in fact,

00:44:18.420 should use physical force

00:44:21.060 to stop her

00:44:22.120 if that's what it takes.

00:44:24.720 Almost everyone

00:44:25.380 would agree with that.

00:44:26.160 And if you,

00:44:29.340 let's say,

00:44:29.980 you pulled up next

00:44:31.180 and this woman

00:44:32.380 was about to jump

00:44:33.000 and you saw me

00:44:34.580 run up and grab her 1.00

00:44:35.560 to stop her from jumping,

00:44:37.340 you wouldn't object

00:44:38.420 to what I did.

00:44:39.060 You wouldn't stand there

00:44:39.560 and say,

00:44:39.680 well,

00:44:39.800 what are you doing?

00:44:40.480 That's her choice.

00:44:41.400 How dare you?

00:44:42.740 You wouldn't say that.

00:44:44.680 No,

00:44:44.900 in fact,

00:44:45.100 you would say

00:44:45.420 I'm a hero.

00:44:46.660 I acted heroically

00:44:47.660 to prevent this woman 1.00

00:44:48.640 from doing

00:44:50.440 what she wanted to do,

00:44:51.440 but what she wanted to do 0.99

00:44:52.220 was kill herself. 1.00

00:44:52.840 And so 0.96

00:44:56.100 that's how everybody

00:44:57.160 would react.

00:44:57.680 And yet,

00:44:58.220 if that woman 1.00

00:44:59.100 just,

00:45:00.700 let's say,

00:45:01.020 keeps walking

00:45:01.660 across the bridge

00:45:02.620 and stops at her doctor's office

00:45:04.340 a mile down the road

00:45:05.440 and decides to use

00:45:06.560 a poison needle

00:45:07.400 or a poison pill

00:45:08.540 or whatever 1.00

00:45:09.060 to kill herself, 1.00

00:45:10.240 then all of a sudden 0.99

00:45:10.900 it's now something

00:45:12.800 we shouldn't try to stop.

00:45:14.920 In fact,

00:45:15.600 a doctor should facilitate it, 0.70

00:45:17.840 should perform it

00:45:18.980 for her.

00:45:22.060 In fact,

00:45:22.840 imagine this.

00:45:23.640 Imagine that I stop

00:45:24.640 because this is really,

00:45:26.520 if you want to make this

00:45:27.780 really analogous

00:45:29.080 to assisted suicide,

00:45:31.380 then it would be this. 0.83

00:45:33.120 She's about to jump 1.00

00:45:33.880 off the bridge.

00:45:34.580 I stop.

00:45:36.320 I ask her what's wrong.

00:45:37.500 She says she wants 1.00

00:45:37.920 to kill herself. 0.99

00:45:39.380 And then she says, 1.00

00:45:40.480 well,

00:45:40.900 I want to jump.

00:45:42.800 I don't want to live anymore,

00:45:43.760 but I can't bring myself

00:45:44.660 to do it.

00:45:45.780 So would you come over

00:45:46.840 and push me?

00:45:49.400 And then,

00:45:50.220 what if I did?

00:45:50.960 I mean, 0.99

00:45:53.120 she wants to kill herself. 0.98

00:45:54.220 She's fully consented. 0.98

00:45:55.520 She's asked me 0.89

00:45:56.340 to assist in her suicide.

00:45:59.200 So what if I said,

00:46:00.060 oh, okay,

00:46:00.500 well, all right,

00:46:01.100 if that's what you want.

00:46:02.500 And I just shoved her 1.00

00:46:03.460 over the bridge.

00:46:05.860 Now,

00:46:06.240 not only would I be

00:46:07.200 condemned nationwide,

00:46:08.940 globally,

00:46:09.840 in fact,

00:46:10.200 for doing that,

00:46:10.760 but I would go to prison.

00:46:12.060 I would go to prison

00:46:13.100 for a long time

00:46:14.600 for doing that.

00:46:15.340 And there would be

00:46:17.460 basically nobody

00:46:19.140 speaking up in my defense.

00:46:22.220 And yet,

00:46:22.860 that is exactly

00:46:23.840 what doctors

00:46:24.980 who perform

00:46:25.700 assisted suicide

00:46:26.400 are doing.

00:46:27.640 It's right there 0.97

00:46:28.480 in the freaking name, 0.99

00:46:29.460 assisted suicide. 0.99

00:46:32.560 And in that case,

00:46:33.640 it's suddenly okay?

00:46:36.680 Now,

00:46:38.140 supporters of euthanasia

00:46:39.480 will probably make 0.92

00:46:40.100 some ridiculous claim 0.96

00:46:41.160 about how, 0.91

00:46:41.760 well,

00:46:42.000 I'm not a doctor.

00:46:42.880 And this medical treatment

00:46:45.060 should be handled

00:46:45.620 by a professional.

00:46:47.740 Except that's not

00:46:48.680 really your problem.

00:46:50.140 Like,

00:46:50.440 get real.

00:46:51.940 Okay?

00:46:52.980 If I push the woman 1.00

00:46:54.140 off the bridge

00:46:54.880 at her own request,

00:46:57.000 the outrage

00:46:58.580 that you would feel

00:46:59.740 towards me

00:47:00.400 is not

00:47:01.120 the moral outrage

00:47:02.540 that you feel

00:47:03.220 towards someone

00:47:03.680 who practices medicine

00:47:05.100 without a license.

00:47:06.700 Okay?

00:47:06.900 Your issue is not

00:47:07.680 that I'm not properly licensed

00:47:09.400 and the paperwork

00:47:10.060 hasn't been filed.

00:47:11.760 No,

00:47:11.960 you would feel

00:47:12.460 the innate

00:47:14.220 just visceral

00:47:15.620 moral outrage

00:47:16.840 that you would feel

00:47:19.540 towards any murderer.

00:47:20.640 That's how you would feel.

00:47:22.300 It's got nothing to do

00:47:23.180 with paperwork

00:47:23.700 and licenses

00:47:24.620 and everything else.

00:47:26.540 No,

00:47:26.760 you would hate me

00:47:27.540 because I pushed

00:47:28.120 a woman off a bridge.

00:47:29.700 Because this woman 1.00

00:47:30.440 is in mental

00:47:31.100 and emotional distress

00:47:32.200 and rather than

00:47:33.120 stopping her

00:47:34.560 from killing herself,

00:47:35.700 I helped her.

00:47:36.400 And also,

00:47:41.840 you know, 0.99

00:47:42.220 killing someone

00:47:42.940 is not medicine.

00:47:45.460 Okay?

00:47:46.000 Just because

00:47:46.780 you do it

00:47:47.640 in a doctor's office

00:47:48.640 that doesn't make it

00:47:49.680 medicine.

00:47:50.540 Just because

00:47:51.620 a doctor does it

00:47:53.120 that doesn't mean

00:47:54.160 that it's medicine.

00:47:55.980 This is a very simple concept

00:47:57.180 that seems to be hard

00:47:57.860 for a lot of people

00:47:58.360 to grasp.

00:47:59.780 Just because a doctor,

00:48:00.980 the definition of medicine

00:48:02.500 is not

00:48:03.480 whatever a doctor does.

00:48:06.280 Okay?

00:48:06.420 That's not the definition

00:48:07.100 of medicine.

00:48:08.260 And we should all

00:48:09.120 understand that

00:48:09.760 because through

00:48:10.840 the decades

00:48:12.020 and centuries

00:48:12.640 and through the course

00:48:14.700 of human civilization,

00:48:16.480 many horrific things

00:48:18.940 have been done

00:48:19.600 in the name of medicine,

00:48:20.820 have been done

00:48:21.280 by doctors

00:48:22.040 who claim

00:48:22.460 that they're helping.

00:48:23.340 So we don't just

00:48:24.160 accept all of that

00:48:26.700 out of hand

00:48:27.520 because a doctor's

00:48:29.340 doing it.

00:48:30.980 No, medicine

00:48:31.600 is a particular thing.

00:48:32.720 Medicine,

00:48:33.680 by definition,

00:48:35.400 is meant to heal

00:48:36.380 and treat

00:48:37.000 and cure.

00:48:41.000 Not everything

00:48:41.760 can be cured.

00:48:43.380 Not everything

00:48:44.080 can be healed.

00:48:44.780 But at the very least,

00:48:46.800 it is treated.

00:48:49.580 That's what medicine is. 0.96

00:48:52.260 Killing someone

00:48:53.060 is not a treatment.

00:48:54.640 Death is not

00:48:55.560 a treatment plan.

00:48:59.080 And here's another thing

00:49:00.500 that shouldn't need

00:49:00.960 to be explained.

00:49:04.360 So then we go back

00:49:05.340 to what exactly

00:49:06.820 is the difference

00:49:08.120 between a doctor

00:49:10.420 performing

00:49:10.980 assisted suicide

00:49:11.860 and me pushing

00:49:13.640 a woman off a bridge

00:49:14.560 when she asks me to.

00:49:18.800 There is no difference.

00:49:20.200 It's the same thing.

00:49:21.660 I mean,

00:49:21.920 it is exactly

00:49:22.900 the same thing.

00:49:24.080 And yet,

00:49:28.300 everybody recognizes

00:49:30.060 that one of those things

00:49:31.320 would be

00:49:31.980 a horrific act

00:49:34.640 of evil.

00:49:36.180 And yet,

00:49:36.580 the other thing

00:49:37.200 is supported,

00:49:39.480 even celebrated

00:49:40.140 by many of those

00:49:42.040 same people.

00:49:42.460 It doesn't make

00:49:42.820 any sense.

00:49:45.820 And what does

00:49:46.640 that tell you?

00:49:47.120 It tells you that

00:49:47.820 it really tells you

00:49:50.300 that almost nobody

00:49:51.500 actually supports

00:49:52.640 euthanasia.

00:49:54.420 Because almost

00:49:55.320 no one is honest

00:49:56.880 about what it

00:49:57.680 actually is.

00:49:59.500 Like,

00:49:59.800 the whole point

00:50:00.640 of euthanasia

00:50:01.500 is to hide

00:50:02.600 from what this

00:50:03.960 thing is

00:50:04.760 that's being done.

00:50:06.860 That's the whole

00:50:07.520 point of it.

00:50:10.040 And if that's

00:50:10.820 not the point,

00:50:11.580 then it has

00:50:12.040 no point.

00:50:14.540 Like,

00:50:14.800 because,

00:50:15.060 I mean,

00:50:15.640 just the whole

00:50:16.680 idea that

00:50:17.700 someone is waiting

00:50:18.440 for three years

00:50:19.280 on a wait list 1.00

00:50:20.220 to kill 1.00

00:50:21.400 themselves, 0.99

00:50:22.260 it's like

00:50:25.140 a very macabre,

00:50:26.620 dark joke.

00:50:28.400 I mean,

00:50:28.820 it's absurd.

00:50:31.440 It would be

00:50:32.320 laughable if it

00:50:33.280 wasn't so

00:50:33.860 horrifically tragic

00:50:35.420 and awful.

00:50:39.120 It's like

00:50:39.780 some very dark

00:50:41.040 satire of

00:50:42.140 modern society

00:50:42.940 that you've got

00:50:43.420 people waiting

00:50:43.980 on wait lists

00:50:44.940 and filling out

00:50:46.420 paperwork 1.00

00:50:47.100 to kill 1.00

00:50:48.120 themselves. 1.00

00:50:49.280 because,

00:50:51.400 like,

00:50:51.500 the obvious

00:50:51.860 thing here

00:50:52.320 is that,

00:50:52.780 I mean,

00:50:54.460 anyone can

00:50:55.380 do that.

00:50:59.380 Anyone can

00:51:00.180 do that.

00:51:00.500 That's a thing

00:51:00.960 that anyone

00:51:01.380 can do.

00:51:03.000 And yet,

00:51:05.460 the,

00:51:05.720 let's say,

00:51:06.060 do-it-yourself

00:51:06.680 methods of

00:51:07.780 suicide are

00:51:09.100 things that we

00:51:09.840 all recognize

00:51:11.080 are horrible

00:51:11.740 and we would

00:51:12.280 never,

00:51:13.640 anyone who

00:51:14.760 tells us that

00:51:15.520 they're struggling

00:51:16.080 with suicidal

00:51:16.680 thoughts,

00:51:17.240 we would all

00:51:18.640 want to

00:51:19.880 dissuade

00:51:20.220 them.

00:51:20.480 We would

00:51:20.660 all want,

00:51:21.040 in fact,

00:51:21.480 even this

00:51:22.040 article in

00:51:22.920 the New York

00:51:23.240 Post,

00:51:23.560 at the very

00:51:23.960 end of it,

00:51:24.560 in the article,

00:51:25.660 there's a link

00:51:27.920 to the suicide

00:51:28.560 helpline.

00:51:31.400 Well,

00:51:31.780 what do they do

00:51:32.200 with the suicide

00:51:32.620 helpline?

00:51:33.140 They don't send

00:51:34.320 you to euthanasia, 0.78

00:51:35.240 they try to

00:51:35.660 convince you,

00:51:36.240 they try to

00:51:36.700 help you not

00:51:37.700 do that.

00:51:39.840 Because when it

00:51:40.440 comes to suicide,

00:51:41.280 we all recognize

00:51:42.100 that it's wrong

00:51:43.040 and people shouldn't

00:51:43.680 do it and if

00:51:44.240 they're doing it,

00:51:44.940 then it's because,

00:51:45.560 like,

00:51:45.640 by definition,

00:51:46.800 they're not in

00:51:47.240 the right state

00:51:47.760 of mind and

00:51:48.500 that life is

00:51:49.420 worth living and

00:51:50.140 that we should

00:51:50.440 never just give

00:51:51.260 up on it.

00:51:54.760 We all recognize

00:51:55.760 that and yet

00:51:58.220 euthanasia has

00:51:59.140 support from many

00:52:00.120 millions of people,

00:52:00.940 which again tells

00:52:01.540 me that these

00:52:02.740 are people who

00:52:03.120 just are not,

00:52:03.740 like,

00:52:04.080 the whole thing

00:52:05.240 exists to allow

00:52:07.000 people to hide

00:52:08.100 from what it is.

00:52:09.560 It is a way of

00:52:11.020 not so much,

00:52:13.560 it's not so much a

00:52:14.320 method of suicide

00:52:15.160 as it is a

00:52:16.080 branding.

00:52:18.280 It's a method

00:52:19.340 of branding it

00:52:20.300 so that it seems

00:52:22.660 like something

00:52:23.180 other than what

00:52:23.920 it is.

00:52:25.760 And then one

00:52:26.680 of the things

00:52:27.180 that's so horrible

00:52:27.880 about that

00:52:28.540 is that you

00:52:29.840 end up with

00:52:30.580 people who

00:52:32.260 commit suicide

00:52:33.560 through euthanasia

00:52:34.420 who otherwise

00:52:35.560 would not.

00:52:38.660 I mean,

00:52:38.980 pretty much anyone

00:52:39.680 who's going

00:52:40.180 through the steps

00:52:40.920 to commit euthanasia,

00:52:42.760 if euthanasia

00:52:43.760 was not legal,

00:52:44.540 they wouldn't

00:52:45.040 do it.

00:52:45.780 They wouldn't

00:52:46.220 kill themselves.

00:52:47.860 Because if they 1.00

00:52:48.560 would,

00:52:48.860 they just would.

00:52:50.180 There'd be no

00:52:50.660 reason to wait

00:52:51.160 on a wait list.

00:52:53.940 So by definition,

00:52:55.080 anyone who's

00:52:55.560 getting euthanasia,

00:52:57.520 I mean,

00:52:57.680 it's like you

00:52:58.180 can't even talk

00:52:58.720 about it without

00:52:59.300 making it,

00:53:00.440 without talking

00:53:01.280 about it as

00:53:01.740 though it's a

00:53:02.120 medical treatment.

00:53:02.900 That's part of

00:53:03.360 the point here.

00:53:03.800 But anyone

00:53:05.600 who is

00:53:06.080 availing themselves

00:53:09.880 of euthanasia,

00:53:11.340 by definition,

00:53:12.680 we know that

00:53:13.300 if not for

00:53:14.180 euthanasia,

00:53:14.600 they wouldn't

00:53:14.860 kill themselves.

00:53:15.820 And so 0.98

00:53:16.760 people that

00:53:18.900 are very

00:53:21.280 concerned about

00:53:22.040 the idea

00:53:23.660 of banning

00:53:24.680 euthanasia,

00:53:25.980 what's the

00:53:27.320 slippery slope?

00:53:29.020 What's the

00:53:29.720 dystopian

00:53:30.660 consequence

00:53:32.540 of banning

00:53:33.640 euthanasia?

00:53:34.320 More people

00:53:34.960 live?

00:53:36.420 That's what

00:53:37.120 they're worried

00:53:37.420 about.

00:53:37.560 That's the

00:53:37.840 consequence.

00:53:38.200 The consequence

00:53:39.020 of having

00:53:39.560 euthanasia is

00:53:40.320 that a lot

00:53:40.660 more people

00:53:41.000 end up

00:53:41.340 dying.

00:53:42.520 The consequence

00:53:43.020 of not having

00:53:43.900 it is that

00:53:45.340 more people

00:53:46.160 live.

00:53:48.000 And that's

00:53:48.660 a bad

00:53:49.700 thing,

00:53:50.260 we're told.

00:53:51.760 When the

00:53:52.300 justice system

00:53:52.820 collapses,

00:53:53.480 we don't sit

00:53:54.080 back.

00:53:54.440 We fight

00:54:27.600 cancellations.

00:54:34.380 Well,

00:54:34.840 it's not

00:54:35.080 every day that

00:54:35.740 a tweet

00:54:36.240 thread from

00:54:36.740 an anonymous

00:54:37.220 account called

00:54:38.040 Meatball

00:54:38.640 Times serves

00:54:39.700 as the

00:54:40.020 jumping off

00:54:40.460 point for

00:54:40.880 our daily

00:54:41.240 cancellation

00:54:41.600 segment,

00:54:42.140 but this

00:54:42.540 is that

00:54:43.280 day.

00:54:44.360 Meatball

00:54:44.900 went somewhat

00:54:45.420 viral over

00:54:45.900 the weekend

00:54:46.160 with a lengthy

00:54:46.800 diatribe about

00:54:47.720 the need for

00:54:48.520 men to build

00:54:49.680 emotional

00:54:50.180 intelligence,

00:54:50.940 quote unquote.

00:54:51.860 And his rantings

00:54:52.420 are only worthy

00:54:52.920 of consideration

00:54:53.460 because they

00:54:53.940 unintentionally

00:54:54.480 illustrate a

00:54:54.960 very important

00:54:55.400 point about

00:54:56.040 the nature

00:54:56.520 of masculinity

00:54:57.120 and the

00:54:57.700 challenges

00:54:58.100 that men

00:54:58.700 face in

00:55:00.120 modern culture.

00:55:01.260 Now this

00:55:01.920 person's not

00:55:02.460 trying to

00:55:02.880 illustrate that

00:55:03.680 point.

00:55:04.060 In fact,

00:55:04.240 he's reaching

00:55:04.640 desperately for

00:55:05.280 something like

00:55:05.720 the opposite

00:55:06.200 point,

00:55:06.740 but in the

00:55:07.620 attempt,

00:55:08.020 he inadvertently

00:55:08.540 provides a

00:55:09.180 learning opportunity

00:55:09.960 for all of us.

00:55:11.580 So let's read

00:55:12.180 it.

00:55:12.600 Quote,

00:55:13.860 I've been feeling

00:55:14.580 very undernourished

00:55:15.720 in my male

00:55:16.340 friendships recently.

00:55:17.320 I think there's

00:55:17.740 something just

00:55:18.220 kind of wrong

00:55:19.080 with the default

00:55:19.940 mode of male

00:55:20.720 socialization

00:55:21.540 slash communication,

00:55:22.980 something men

00:55:23.540 aren't taught

00:55:24.200 about relating

00:55:25.020 to people.

00:55:25.780 For instance,

00:55:26.380 I've known this

00:55:27.000 guy for 15 years.

00:55:27.960 I was his best

00:55:28.460 man at his

00:55:28.880 wedding.

00:55:29.600 I told him

00:55:29.920 recently about

00:55:30.360 a suicidal

00:55:30.900 episode of

00:55:31.560 someone I love

00:55:32.320 recently,

00:55:32.780 and I also

00:55:33.100 a close family

00:55:33.720 friend lying

00:55:34.760 about having

00:55:35.320 cancer for

00:55:35.980 two years

00:55:36.480 and how it

00:55:37.240 was killing

00:55:37.640 me,

00:55:38.220 crying.

00:55:39.120 My male

00:55:39.540 friend's

00:55:39.860 response to

00:55:40.400 me crying

00:55:40.880 on his

00:55:41.220 sofa,

00:55:42.220 dude,

00:55:42.520 I'm sorry,

00:55:43.040 that's crazy.

00:55:44.420 What topping

00:55:44.960 do you want

00:55:45.360 on your pizza?

00:55:46.860 What the F?

00:55:47.960 Friends for 15

00:55:48.760 years,

00:55:49.120 this is his

00:55:49.520 response?

00:55:50.400 Not all guys 0.88

00:55:50.960 are like this,

00:55:51.580 but could you

00:55:52.300 imagine literally

00:55:52.980 any woman doing 1.00

00:55:53.900 this?

00:55:54.640 I realized

00:55:55.120 several years

00:55:55.600 ago that I

00:55:56.140 could spend

00:55:56.460 hours talking

00:55:57.200 to my male

00:55:57.740 friends and not

00:55:58.300 learn a single

00:55:58.780 thing about them.

00:55:59.900 I always am

00:56:00.440 the one to ask

00:56:01.020 personal questions,

00:56:02.480 and when I ask

00:56:02.960 guys about their

00:56:03.580 divorce or

00:56:04.140 whatever,

00:56:04.840 a solid one

00:56:05.560 third of them

00:56:06.160 like shrug?

00:56:07.900 Hello?

00:56:09.420 Now the

00:56:10.020 diatribe continues

00:56:10.860 from here,

00:56:11.360 but let's pause

00:56:12.400 to consider a few

00:56:13.720 points.

00:56:14.100 First of all,

00:56:15.200 I'm trying to

00:56:17.000 imagine how I

00:56:18.160 might react if a

00:56:19.280 guy came up to

00:56:20.060 me and told me

00:56:20.900 that he feels

00:56:22.000 undernourished by

00:56:23.820 my friendship.

00:56:25.320 I think I'd

00:56:26.220 probably say a

00:56:27.260 bunch of things

00:56:27.720 that I can't

00:56:28.560 say here,

00:56:29.300 but the basic

00:56:30.360 gist would be

00:56:31.200 that I'm

00:56:32.420 glad that I'm

00:56:33.860 not nourishing

00:56:34.640 you.

00:56:35.740 What am I,

00:56:36.360 a dairy cow?

00:56:37.420 Like, why are

00:56:38.540 you looking to

00:56:38.920 me for

00:56:39.200 nourishment, 0.96

00:56:39.940 you freak?

00:56:41.080 I can never

00:56:41.820 hang out with

00:56:42.300 you again after

00:56:43.000 a comment like

00:56:43.560 that.

00:56:44.260 Now that I

00:56:44.880 know that you're

00:56:45.240 sitting over

00:56:45.740 there expecting

00:56:46.500 nourishment.

00:56:50.040 Although I guess

00:56:50.820 being told by a

00:56:51.580 friend that I'm

00:56:52.200 not nourishing him

00:56:53.420 isn't the worst

00:56:54.260 thing in the

00:56:54.620 world.

00:56:55.100 That's the second

00:56:55.920 worst thing.

00:56:56.360 The worst thing

00:56:57.060 is if he came up

00:56:58.500 to me and said,

00:56:59.460 thank you for

00:57:00.260 your friendship,

00:57:00.900 Matt.

00:57:01.020 It's very

00:57:01.400 nourishing.

00:57:03.140 That'd be the

00:57:03.660 worst.

00:57:04.460 It's like, I

00:57:04.700 didn't mean to

00:57:05.120 be nourishing

00:57:05.700 you.

00:57:05.840 I don't know

00:57:06.080 what's going

00:57:06.440 on here,

00:57:06.820 but something's

00:57:08.580 gone wrong

00:57:09.000 here.

00:57:10.920 In either case,

00:57:11.740 this is not how

00:57:12.440 men speak to

00:57:13.020 each other.

00:57:13.700 And it certainly

00:57:14.140 makes one suspect

00:57:14.840 that the author

00:57:15.440 of this thread

00:57:16.080 is not a man

00:57:16.740 at all.

00:57:17.660 By the language

00:57:18.340 he's using,

00:57:18.980 you'd think that

00:57:19.360 he's like a

00:57:19.740 24-year-old

00:57:20.540 female HR 0.99

00:57:21.680 representative who

00:57:22.420 graduated from

00:57:23.120 NYU with a

00:57:24.180 major in

00:57:24.760 queer poetry or

00:57:26.140 whatever.

00:57:27.000 And maybe that's

00:57:27.500 the case.

00:57:27.760 But let's take

00:57:28.400 him at his

00:57:28.720 word for the

00:57:29.220 purposes of

00:57:29.600 this conversation

00:57:30.200 and assume that

00:57:31.640 he really is a

00:57:32.300 dude who speaks

00:57:33.640 like that and

00:57:35.040 yet somehow still

00:57:35.860 gets invited over

00:57:36.560 for pizza night

00:57:37.220 with the boys,

00:57:37.920 which, again,

00:57:39.080 is hard to

00:57:39.600 imagine.

00:57:40.860 So, okay,

00:57:41.240 then.

00:57:42.280 Tells us that he

00:57:42.920 went to his

00:57:43.220 friend's house and

00:57:44.380 starts crying on

00:57:45.060 his couch.

00:57:46.300 His friend offers

00:57:47.000 him a quick

00:57:47.380 supportive word and

00:57:48.440 then tries to get

00:57:49.000 back to ordering

00:57:49.580 the pizza.

00:57:50.880 Meatball wants

00:57:51.460 us to see his

00:57:52.060 friend as the

00:57:52.840 bad guy in this

00:57:53.460 exchange, even

00:57:54.040 though he's the

00:57:55.360 one not only

00:57:55.900 crying like a

00:57:56.680 girl on his

00:57:57.100 friend's couch,

00:57:57.600 but even

00:57:58.000 worse, doing

00:57:59.200 it while his

00:58:00.500 friend is in the

00:58:01.120 middle of trying

00:58:01.740 to order the

00:58:02.280 pizza.

00:58:03.380 So Meatball has

00:58:03.940 committed multiple

00:58:05.340 violations of the

00:58:06.180 man code in this

00:58:06.860 story.

00:58:08.240 Violation number

00:58:08.900 one, crying in

00:58:10.600 front of another

00:58:10.960 man.

00:58:12.240 Violation number

00:58:12.920 two, crying in

00:58:14.440 front of another

00:58:14.760 man at his

00:58:15.520 house.

00:58:17.380 Violation number

00:58:18.000 three, distracting a

00:58:19.680 man while he's

00:58:20.460 trying to order

00:58:21.040 pizza.

00:58:21.400 Now, the friend, we

00:58:23.780 can assume he's

00:58:24.580 married, so he

00:58:26.220 already has to

00:58:26.960 deal with that

00:58:27.320 sort of thing

00:58:27.680 with his wife.

00:58:29.280 Women are 1.00

00:58:29.760 infamous for this 0.99

00:58:31.380 kind of thing.

00:58:31.780 They're infamous

00:58:32.260 for not staying

00:58:33.740 focused and on

00:58:34.780 message while food

00:58:35.780 is being ordered.

00:58:37.560 Like, at the end

00:58:37.840 of the day, I was

00:58:38.080 trying to order

00:58:38.460 Chinese.

00:58:38.920 I asked my wife,

00:58:39.420 like, what do you

00:58:39.700 want from the

00:58:39.980 Chinese place? 0.87

00:58:41.140 She launches into 0.91

00:58:41.880 like a seven-minute

00:58:42.520 story that's

00:58:43.300 completely irrelevant

00:58:43.980 to the Chinese.

00:58:44.660 I'm like, I'm

00:58:44.900 sitting here, we

00:58:45.920 can talk about

00:58:46.440 that, but do you

00:58:47.340 want General Tso's?

00:58:48.300 What do you

00:58:48.460 want?

00:58:49.120 What are we

00:58:49.820 doing here?

00:58:51.620 We've got to get

00:58:52.200 the food handled

00:58:52.860 first, and then

00:58:53.520 we can have a

00:58:53.900 conversation.

00:58:56.260 And now, this

00:58:57.180 guy, he has to

00:58:59.020 deal with the

00:58:59.520 same sort of

00:59:00.160 thing when he

00:59:00.620 invites dudes

00:59:01.320 over for pizza?

00:59:03.040 Like, it's

00:59:03.600 unconscionable to

00:59:04.660 put a man in 0.57

00:59:05.160 that position.

00:59:06.920 I'm sorry you

00:59:07.580 had a loved one

00:59:08.100 who faked

00:59:08.460 cancer.

00:59:09.020 That's weird, but

00:59:09.780 like, what

00:59:10.260 exactly does that

00:59:11.140 have to do with

00:59:11.620 Papa John's?

00:59:12.280 I don't understand

00:59:13.000 why you're

00:59:13.860 bringing this up

00:59:14.380 right now.

00:59:16.200 And what does

00:59:16.820 Meatball want from 1.00

00:59:17.620 his friend here?

00:59:18.780 The guy said

00:59:19.220 he was sorry.

00:59:20.280 Okay, check.

00:59:22.020 He said it was

00:59:22.700 crazy.

00:59:23.460 Check.

00:59:23.740 It is crazy.

00:59:25.660 What else is

00:59:26.320 there to say?

00:59:27.460 Especially a

00:59:28.040 story like that.

00:59:28.900 Like, that's

00:59:29.460 what I don't know

00:59:30.320 what else to say.

00:59:31.180 Oh, my loved

00:59:31.920 one faked

00:59:32.300 cancer.

00:59:34.420 That's super

00:59:35.200 weird, man.

00:59:36.220 Sorry that that

00:59:36.960 happened.

00:59:39.500 What kind of

00:59:40.260 cancer did he

00:59:40.900 fake?

00:59:41.340 Like, what, do

00:59:41.740 you want

00:59:41.880 questions?

00:59:44.220 But he

00:59:44.660 acknowledged your

00:59:45.300 sob story, he

00:59:45.960 offered condolences,

00:59:46.800 and then he

00:59:47.020 tried to redirect

00:59:47.580 back to the pizza

00:59:48.360 instead of letting

00:59:48.960 you indulge any

00:59:49.720 further in your

00:59:50.300 pity party.

00:59:51.160 That's what men 0.98

00:59:51.680 do.

00:59:52.140 That's how men 0.99

00:59:52.580 relate to each

00:59:53.180 other.

00:59:53.900 We don't wallow

00:59:54.780 together in our

00:59:55.460 emotions.

00:59:55.940 In fact, if I have

00:59:56.980 any criticism of the

00:59:58.000 friend in this

00:59:58.420 exchange, it's that he

00:59:59.100 didn't make fun of the

01:00:00.860 other guy for crying.

01:00:02.540 That's the only place

01:00:03.260 where he dropped the

01:00:03.760 ball.

01:00:04.680 And I can only take

01:00:05.420 solace in the

01:00:05.940 assumption that the

01:00:06.700 next time they hang

01:00:07.540 out, if there is a

01:00:08.180 next time, the friend

01:00:09.320 will find an

01:00:10.060 opportunity to make a

01:00:10.880 joke about Meatball's

01:00:12.020 crying fit.

01:00:13.200 And then to make a

01:00:13.960 joke about it every

01:00:14.600 time he sees him from 0.99

01:00:15.800 here until they die.

01:00:18.240 And it doesn't have 0.98

01:00:18.740 to be anything clever,

01:00:19.440 by the way.

01:00:19.780 I mean, just as soon

01:00:21.600 as he sits on the

01:00:23.000 couch, just say like,

01:00:24.380 hey, you're not going

01:00:24.780 to start crying again,

01:00:25.420 are you?

01:00:26.160 Something simple like

01:00:27.500 that just to make sure

01:00:29.160 that you fulfill your 1.00

01:00:30.440 duty to give him crap 0.99

01:00:31.520 for that because that's 0.98

01:00:32.380 what friends do, at

01:00:33.860 least male friends.

01:00:36.040 Now, Meatball relates

01:00:38.140 this experience as proof

01:00:39.220 that men are emotionally 0.81

01:00:40.480 deficient.

01:00:41.160 But it's not proof that

01:00:43.040 men are emotionally

01:00:43.620 deficient. 1.00

01:00:44.120 It's proof that men 1.00

01:00:44.940 are men.

01:00:46.220 Men are not women. 1.00

01:00:47.240 They are different,

01:00:48.140 not deficient.

01:00:49.820 They relate to each

01:00:50.780 other differently.

01:00:51.720 They express themselves

01:00:52.780 differently.

01:00:53.800 They have a different

01:00:54.380 way of being and acting

01:00:55.640 in the world because men 0.99

01:00:56.600 are men.

01:00:57.520 We are not women. 1.00

01:00:59.520 Meatball sees that as a

01:01:00.420 defect and he's not

01:01:01.240 alone.

01:01:01.540 The only reason we're

01:01:02.100 talking about this post

01:01:02.860 by some random guy is

01:01:03.740 that it typifies a

01:01:05.100 prevailing attitude in our

01:01:06.120 culture.

01:01:07.000 This has been the

01:01:07.760 popular consensus among

01:01:08.840 elites in our society.

01:01:09.840 the philosophy that

01:01:10.880 drives most of our

01:01:11.620 institutions for decades

01:01:13.240 now.

01:01:14.320 Men are broken, they say,

01:01:15.560 because they are too

01:01:16.200 much like men and not 0.76

01:01:17.560 enough like women. 1.00

01:01:19.000 And the way to fix men 0.99

01:01:20.040 is to make them like 0.77

01:01:21.900 women. 0.81

01:01:22.860 A woman is a kind of 1.00

01:01:24.140 perfected man by this

01:01:25.580 way of thinking.

01:01:26.800 Which, by the way,

01:01:27.560 explains why trans

01:01:28.440 ideology is so important

01:01:29.440 to these people, but

01:01:29.960 that's a thread we can

01:01:30.600 follow another day.

01:01:31.720 But it's all nonsense,

01:01:32.780 of course.

01:01:33.240 It's extremely harmful 0.51

01:01:34.260 nonsense.

01:01:36.020 There is nothing wrong

01:01:37.300 with how men in general

01:01:38.920 relate to each other

01:01:40.520 and express their

01:01:41.280 emotions.

01:01:41.760 We are more stoic.

01:01:43.520 We are the more

01:01:44.500 emotionally reserved

01:01:45.720 sex.

01:01:46.960 That's what we've

01:01:47.700 always been.

01:01:48.860 It's how we're

01:01:49.320 naturally inclined.

01:01:50.340 It's how we're made.

01:01:51.660 It's also how society

01:01:52.980 needs us to be.

01:01:54.740 Society cannot properly

01:01:56.300 function if everyone

01:01:58.000 is dwelling on their

01:01:58.860 emotions all the time.

01:02:00.700 Then no pizza would

01:02:01.780 ever get ordered.

01:02:03.320 So some of us,

01:02:04.120 about half of us,

01:02:04.980 need to be able to

01:02:06.580 shoulder our emotional

01:02:07.740 burdens quietly.

01:02:09.580 Now, that doesn't mean

01:02:10.220 that we don't need

01:02:11.360 support and friendship.

01:02:12.280 It just means that

01:02:12.800 support and friendship

01:02:13.520 are different for us.

01:02:15.480 Male friendships tend 0.73

01:02:16.300 to be less intense.

01:02:17.660 They tend to be more

01:02:18.300 relaxed, less needy,

01:02:20.520 less demanding.

01:02:22.920 That's not the wrong way

01:02:24.200 to approach friendships.

01:02:25.140 It's just a different way

01:02:26.380 than how women 1.00

01:02:27.480 approach them.

01:02:29.360 I have friends that I've

01:02:31.200 known for 30 years,

01:02:32.580 and these days I see

01:02:33.580 them once a year,

01:02:35.820 maybe twice at most.

01:02:37.440 There are years we go

01:02:38.160 by where I don't see

01:02:38.640 them at all.

01:02:39.160 We never talk on the

01:02:40.000 phone.

01:02:40.580 We might text a few

01:02:41.500 times over the year,

01:02:42.240 usually during football

01:02:42.900 season.

01:02:44.540 I still consider them

01:02:45.480 to be very good friends,

01:02:46.260 and when I see them,

01:02:46.820 it's just like old times.

01:02:47.660 We also spend very

01:02:48.820 little time catching up

01:02:49.940 on each other's

01:02:50.840 personal lives whenever

01:02:51.580 we do see each other,

01:02:52.880 and this is something

01:02:54.020 that my wife doesn't 0.98

01:02:56.020 understand.

01:02:56.500 She doesn't understand

01:02:57.340 how I can still

01:02:58.920 consider those guys

01:03:01.000 friends when I so

01:03:02.540 rarely see or speak

01:03:03.620 to them.

01:03:03.960 So if I say,

01:03:05.520 oh, you know,

01:03:06.140 a friend,

01:03:06.600 she'll say,

01:03:06.820 oh, yeah,

01:03:07.060 when's the last time

01:03:07.500 you talked to them?

01:03:08.400 I don't know,

01:03:09.060 2021 maybe.

01:03:12.160 To her,

01:03:12.660 that's like,

01:03:12.920 it doesn't make any

01:03:14.100 sense.

01:03:14.680 She doesn't understand

01:03:15.200 how when I do

01:03:16.740 see and speak to them,

01:03:18.260 we don't end up

01:03:18.820 gabbing the whole time

01:03:19.680 about all the things

01:03:20.460 that happened in our

01:03:21.120 personal lives since

01:03:22.280 we last saw each other.

01:03:23.380 And that's because

01:03:23.840 if my wife goes

01:03:26.800 several weeks,

01:03:27.940 let alone months,

01:03:29.340 without having any

01:03:30.160 contact with somebody

01:03:31.160 she considers a friend,

01:03:32.000 it's like,

01:03:32.560 it's a problem.

01:03:33.940 It's a sign that

01:03:34.700 something has gone

01:03:35.380 wrong.

01:03:36.340 And when they finally

01:03:37.480 do talk again,

01:03:38.420 they'll need to have

01:03:38.900 like a heart to heart

01:03:39.780 about the fact that

01:03:40.720 they weren't talking

01:03:41.480 before.

01:03:43.000 So the fact of them

01:03:45.180 not talking has to be

01:03:46.660 a thing that they

01:03:47.500 talk about before they

01:03:49.080 can talk about anything

01:03:49.820 else.

01:03:50.980 And they'll talk about

01:03:51.760 that and tears might be

01:03:52.660 shed and it'll be a

01:03:53.260 whole thing.

01:03:54.440 And there are women, 1.00

01:03:55.400 this is what women do. 1.00

01:03:56.860 And that's fine for

01:03:57.660 women, 1.00

01:03:57.840 it's healthy for women, 1.00

01:03:58.740 but it's not healthy

01:03:59.440 to insist on that kind

01:04:00.440 of behavior in men.

01:04:02.180 Here's how Meatball

01:04:02.940 wraps up his thread.

01:04:03.940 Quote,

01:04:04.460 I mostly just pity men

01:04:05.680 at the not sure how I

01:04:07.080 feel about my divorce

01:04:08.040 levels of emotional

01:04:08.840 intelligence.

01:04:09.560 They're not dumb, 0.94

01:04:10.460 they're confused. 0.99

01:04:11.420 They lack the tools

01:04:12.260 to introspect.

01:04:13.600 They were never taught.

01:04:14.840 The emotions are just

01:04:15.580 going to sit in the

01:04:16.420 pressure cooker in

01:04:17.120 their heart,

01:04:17.640 maybe forever.

01:04:18.880 Society tells men to 0.97

01:04:19.800 suppress their feelings.

01:04:21.420 Women demand go to 1.00

01:04:22.300 therapy,

01:04:22.740 but female modes of 1.00

01:04:23.500 expression are alienating

01:04:24.600 to men.

01:04:25.680 All the other men in 0.99

01:04:26.640 your life are just as

01:04:27.480 confused because if

01:04:28.620 talking about the NBA

01:04:29.620 isn't helping,

01:04:30.300 they're out of ideas.

01:04:31.000 No wonder guys feel 0.57

01:04:32.460 nothing.

01:04:33.460 Where can men go to 0.93

01:04:34.320 learn how to feel things

01:04:35.320 and support each other?

01:04:36.600 Fraternal orders like 1.00

01:04:37.440 the Masons or Elks,

01:04:38.600 dead,

01:04:39.320 church religion,

01:04:40.300 dead, 0.91

01:04:41.020 strong,

01:04:41.600 vulnerable men don't

01:04:42.440 exist in media.

01:04:43.560 Clubs,

01:04:44.000 third spaces,

01:04:44.720 military,

01:04:45.240 dead,

01:04:45.460 dead, 1.00

01:04:45.640 dead.

01:04:46.500 Men unable to feel 1.00

01:04:47.320 their feelings live

01:04:48.080 confused lives,

01:04:49.060 inflicting others,

01:04:49.940 especially women, 0.99

01:04:50.660 with the burden of

01:04:51.380 feeling things for

01:04:52.200 them or compensating

01:04:53.100 for their total lack

01:04:53.960 of self-awareness.

01:04:54.560 We need dedicated

01:04:55.960 spaces for men to 0.98

01:04:57.020 build emotional

01:04:57.880 intelligence.

01:04:58.840 Where are they?

01:05:00.240 Now he's right.

01:05:01.500 Many of the spaces he

01:05:02.420 mentioned are dead.

01:05:04.480 Male spaces are 1.00

01:05:06.020 largely dead precisely

01:05:08.160 because they all

01:05:08.920 became feminized.

01:05:10.600 Now he sees the

01:05:11.480 feminization of male

01:05:12.440 spaces as the solution

01:05:13.820 when in fact it's

01:05:15.040 exactly the problem.

01:05:16.720 Elk lodges,

01:05:17.620 bowling clubs,

01:05:18.420 cigar lounges,

01:05:19.160 I mean there are still

01:05:19.700 cigar lounges,

01:05:20.400 thank God,

01:05:20.720 but for the most

01:05:23.320 part none of these

01:05:23.960 traditionally male

01:05:24.760 spaces were ever

01:05:25.520 designed to help

01:05:27.060 men build emotional

01:05:28.260 intelligence or learn

01:05:29.580 how to feel things.

01:05:31.780 Your grandpa,

01:05:33.260 whoever,

01:05:33.560 never went to the

01:05:34.160 Elk Lodge because

01:05:35.580 he wanted to learn

01:05:36.260 how to feel things.

01:05:38.320 These were designed

01:05:39.280 as places where men

01:05:40.400 could be how they

01:05:41.420 are without any

01:05:42.220 womanly lectures.

01:05:43.460 But now there's

01:05:44.380 nowhere to go to

01:05:45.320 escape the womanly 0.99

01:05:46.100 lectures.

01:05:46.520 Every space has been

01:05:47.620 overtaken by scolding

01:05:49.340 women and men who

01:05:50.660 act like scolding

01:05:51.660 women. 0.81

01:05:52.800 Every space has to

01:05:54.340 cater to women. 1.00

01:05:56.060 That's the world we

01:05:56.660 live in now.

01:05:57.540 There is no place

01:05:58.380 that's allowed to

01:05:59.040 not cater to women.

01:06:02.020 The let boys be

01:06:03.540 boys philosophy is

01:06:04.840 dead.

01:06:05.880 It's deader than the

01:06:06.840 lodges and the

01:06:07.440 bowling clubs.

01:06:09.160 Replaced with a

01:06:09.920 very different mindset

01:06:10.940 which is now make

01:06:12.280 boys be girls. 0.58

01:06:14.540 And some men,

01:06:15.560 like our friend

01:06:15.920 Meatball,

01:06:16.380 have taken that

01:06:17.140 call very much to

01:06:18.020 heart.

01:06:18.980 And that is why

01:06:19.540 they are all today

01:06:20.620 canceled.

01:06:22.480 That's it for the

01:06:23.020 show today.

01:06:23.340 Thanks for watching.

01:06:23.840 Thanks for listening.

01:06:24.360 Talk to you tomorrow.
