The Matt Walsh Show - Ep. 1400 - Independence Day Special - How America Can Win Again

00:00:00.000 Today on The Matt Walsh Show, guest hosted by me, David Cohn, we've got an Independence

00:00:05.300 Day special for you.

00:00:06.680 We'll examine many of the most crucial ways America has strayed from the path our founders

00:00:11.240 established.

00:00:12.180 There was a UFO sighting in Colorado, and y'all keep wondering where Matt went.

00:00:17.000 I will be reading the best roast comments from the Sweet Baby Gang.

00:00:21.200 Also, the Olympics are canceled.

00:00:23.300 All of that and more today on The Matt Walsh Show.

00:00:30.000 Matt Walsh is out once again today.

00:00:53.640 Taylor Swift added some dates to her eras tour that simply could not be missed.

00:00:58.360 But don't worry, this show would never leave you without a 4th of July episode.

00:01:02.520 So you've got me, David Cohn.

00:01:04.640 Let's get to it.

00:01:06.140 We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed

00:01:11.980 by their creator with certain unalienable rights, that among these are life, liberty, and the

00:01:18.420 pursuit of happiness.

00:01:20.140 Those words from the preamble of the Declaration of Independence, which the Continental Congress

00:01:25.260 formally announced 248 years ago tomorrow, were written by men of courage.

00:01:32.200 The founding fathers knew if they were to establish a government of their own, a system

00:01:37.500 where the people had the power, it would take a fight.

00:01:40.780 Not just any battle, a battle against the most powerful monarchy in the world, in which losing

00:01:46.900 not only meant death, it meant being labeled a traitor for the remainder of history.

00:01:52.760 Did the founders create a perfect system?

00:01:55.160 Of course not.

00:01:56.280 Not every person was equal, or free, or counted as a full person.

00:02:00.360 Brother fought against brother 90 years later to help right those wrongs.

00:02:04.540 Yet through it all, we've marched forward as a country, always willing to be self-critical,

00:02:10.080 and using the guiding principles our founding fathers laid out, tweaking where necessary

00:02:15.700 to create the freest, most spectacular nation the world has seen.

00:02:21.140 America is still not perfect, but her imperfection is being used as the excuse to abolish her existence 1.00

00:02:28.220 completely.

00:02:29.600 That would be devastating, not just for us as citizens, but for the remainder of the world.

00:02:34.720 So in honor of our independence, let us highlight some of the ways we have veered off the path

00:02:39.620 that led us to be the country we are today.

00:02:42.880 The border, which makes up the nation, is being ignored.

00:02:46.640 If you read the Federalist Papers, especially Federalist No. 2 by John Jay, you'll learn that

00:02:52.000 one of the most important ideas advanced by the founding fathers is the idea that America

00:02:57.220 keeps a cohesive national identity.

00:03:00.540 This was part of their argument to convince states to ratify the new constitution.

00:03:04.860 Over the last two and a half centuries, America has become a multicultural melting pot,

00:03:09.380 where different people of many races and religions can come together and achieve miraculous ends.

00:03:15.420 That only works, however, when we agree that our American identity is stronger than that which divides us.

00:03:23.140 Increasingly, that is not the case.

00:03:25.600 No care whatsoever is being paid to the type of individuals entering and remaining in our country.

00:03:32.820 Now, understand, I don't blame anyone ever for having a desire to become American.

00:03:37.920 That's what's supposed to happen when you're the best.

00:03:41.100 People vote with their feet, right?

00:03:43.300 Well, when you leave your home country to come here, that's the sincerest form of flattery.

00:03:49.120 All of our ancestors did that at some point.

00:03:52.080 But a nation cannot exist when the border that makes said nation what it is gets ignored with impunity.

00:03:58.960 Add a welfare state on top of it all, and this becomes unsustainable.

00:04:02.180 To paraphrase Milton Friedman, you can have open borders, barely.

00:04:06.780 You can have a welfare state, barely, but you cannot have both.

00:04:10.740 Consider now our national debt, well over $30 trillion.

00:04:15.040 You might as well replace trillion with a made-up word.

00:04:18.660 What's the difference?

00:04:19.880 James Madison, the fourth president and one of the authors of the Constitution, once said,

00:04:24.240 quote, public debt is a public curse, and in a Republican government, a greater curse than any.

00:04:31.640 Think now about our system of taxation.

00:04:34.180 The mantra that carries us into Independence Day and echoes through the skies as if it were shouted

00:04:39.960 yesterday, no taxation without representation.

00:04:44.080 And that was over a 2% tax on a breakfast beverage.

00:04:48.060 What do we have now?

00:04:49.280 We're taxed when we receive money, when we spend money, when we invest money, when we die with money.

00:04:53.100 I leave a house every morning that is taxed, in a car that is taxed, fueled by gas that is taxed,

00:04:58.060 to go to a company that is taxed, where I get a paycheck that is taxed, on a state level,

00:05:02.260 then on the federal level, all while playing this withholding game where the IRS knows how much I owe

00:05:07.140 but makes me guess, then if I'm wrong, they can put me in jail.

00:05:10.000 None of this addresses the biggest tax of all, inflation, which is skyrocketing because the bureaucracy

00:05:14.900 in Washington won't turn off the printing presses just to send those dollar bills,

00:05:19.460 which should be used to better the lives of Americans overseas.

00:05:23.740 That's what we put up with.

00:05:25.600 Our great-grandfathers told King George, come get some if he wants to levy tea,

00:05:29.820 and now we're left with pennies for every buck we make.

00:05:33.820 How?

00:05:34.760 Inch by inch.

00:05:36.720 None of this happened overnight.

00:05:39.140 248 years is a long time.

00:05:41.620 The first American income tax wasn't signed into law until 1861.

00:05:45.860 Then, more famously, we had the 16th Amendment, passed by Congress in 1909 and ratified in 1913.

00:05:52.300 I could go on and on about the ways we've diverged from what the founders wanted.

00:05:58.280 Our military-industrial complex that Eisenhower warned about, sex trafficking on an industrial scale,

00:06:04.840 abortion on an industrial scale, godlessness at every turn.

00:06:09.260 Yes, it's true our founding fathers had differing points of view on religion, Thomas Jefferson particularly.

00:06:15.260 But to solidify my point, here are the words of John Adams after the official resolution of Congress was adopted.

00:06:21.900 Quote, I am apt to believe that Independence Day will be celebrated by succeeding generations.

00:06:28.740 As the great anniversary festival, it ought to be commemorated as the day of deliverance by solemn acts of devotion to God Almighty.

00:06:39.400 Unquote.

00:06:40.520 I doubt he could fathom what our children now see on a daily basis, like this clip here from a pride parade in Los Angeles.

00:06:48.140 I know, I met that dancing bear out here in front of the wee home.

00:06:52.120 Oh my gosh.

00:06:52.760 What has been your favorite part?

00:06:54.000 A declaration to God Almighty from that to this here.

00:06:57.480 I loved going out there and seeing all the kids.

00:06:59.800 Seeing all the kids, that's his favorite part.

00:07:02.940 What kind of society tolerates this?

00:07:05.800 Well, as of now, ours does.

00:07:08.460 Every corporation, every local government, with very few exceptions, supports this.

00:07:13.520 Despite all of these existential threats, heavy as they may hang on our hearts, we must never lose hope.

00:07:20.620 We have marched together through much worse, but it does take work.

00:07:25.540 We cannot do the bare minimum.

00:07:27.320 We cannot turn a blind eye to the perils of our nation and just expect that star-spangled banner to wave in perpetuity.

00:07:35.200 So here are my suggestions for how to right the ship so that America can celebrate another birthday 248 years from now.

00:07:45.160 First, vote.

00:07:46.900 Vote and vote for better leaders.

00:07:49.680 The vast majority of our ancestors had no say in the people who ruled them.

00:07:54.380 We do.

00:07:55.220 Yet roughly a third of Americans don't let their voice be heard.

00:07:57.960 We can complain ad nauseum about a two-party system or that all politicians are the same, but we can change that.

00:08:06.240 Inform yourself.

00:08:07.600 Read.

00:08:08.320 And don't just read about current candidates and policies.

00:08:11.080 Read about American history.

00:08:12.560 Read the Federalist Papers, the Constitution.

00:08:15.200 Understand what it took for us to have what we have.

00:08:19.420 Next, prioritize family, the nuclear family. 0.64

00:08:22.520 Form stable relationships.

00:08:24.200 Get married.

00:08:25.100 Have kids.

00:08:25.820 I will never understand how we arrived at a place in society where having a family is considered white patriarchal supremacy or whatever leftist phrase is being used today.

00:08:36.560 But I do understand that the goal of such phrases is to destroy this country because those who state it understand how essential the family is for America.

00:08:48.020 Third, we must incentivize actions of good and deter those of bad.

00:08:53.280 Yes, this seems overly general, but I think about it every day.

00:08:57.260 We have turned upside down every notion of what is good and just and beautiful.

00:09:04.060 We have ignored, even sanctioned misconduct to the point it is commonplace.

00:09:09.620 There is a reason major cities across this nation are too unsafe to live in right now.

00:09:14.300 That's a byproduct of criminals not being punished for crimes.

00:09:19.140 I'm not saying we need to bring back drawing and quartering.

00:09:22.480 I'm just saying we may need to bring back drawing and quartering.

00:09:26.520 I have little doubt it would be effective.

00:09:28.700 We also must remember the purpose of education.

00:09:31.880 As I talked about yesterday, the goal is not to write A-plus on every kid's paper.

00:09:37.120 It's not to spare feelings when a child is suited for something different than his peers.

00:09:42.260 The purpose is not to fill college classrooms to max capacity or to print as many diplomas as possible.

00:09:48.740 It's not to indoctrinate children with confusion to appease the sexual fetishes of misguided adults.

00:09:55.100 If we're going to indoctrinate, let us do so with the words of Thomas Paine and Thomas Sowell.

00:10:00.180 The lone purpose of education is to pass down the most essential knowledge so that future generations may carry this country forward.

00:10:09.220 Lastly, especially in the age of social media, we must cherish our local communities, not merely live in them.

00:10:17.300 Get outside.

00:10:18.280 What do people say now?

00:10:19.140 Touch grass.

00:10:20.280 Help a neighbor. 0.95

00:10:21.460 Shop local.

00:10:22.300 People live in such a way that if the luxuries provided by the global establishment were to vanish today, you wouldn't miss a beat.

00:10:31.900 You would still be a leader those closest to you can depend on.

00:10:36.520 This Fourth of July, as you celebrate with friends and family, remember the words of Will Durant.

00:10:42.020 A great civilization is not conquered from without until it has destroyed itself from within.

00:10:49.080 Now let's get to our five headlines.

00:10:52.300 First story up today comes from The Daily Wire.

00:11:00.340 Exclusive Sarah Sanders launches push for cell phone free schools in Arkansas.

00:11:06.740 I already like the direction that this one is going.

00:11:09.680 So let's work our way through it here.

00:11:11.540 Arkansas Governor Sarah Sanders rolled out a proposal on Tuesday to incentivize schools.

00:11:18.220 You see those two words?

00:11:19.400 Didn't I just talk about that in the open?

00:11:21.680 Incentivization in our education system?

00:11:25.080 Incentivize schools in the state to ban cell phones from the classroom.

00:11:30.480 This is according to a letter to schools across the state obtained by The Daily Wire.

00:11:34.960 The idea is to improve students' mental health by separating them from their cell phones, temporarily removing any anxiety their phones cause, encouraging in-person social interaction with friends and fostering a better learning environment.

00:11:51.560 The program will address the symptoms of young mental illness as well as one of its largest causes, screen addiction and social media, the governor said.

00:12:01.840 This, I can't believe this, I can't believe this even needs to be done.

00:12:05.220 Why isn't it already common practice that you don't have cell phones in schools?

00:12:10.280 Granted, I was in school 20 years ago when cell phones were just coming out.

00:12:14.580 So it was, it was a brand new thing.

00:12:16.280 I just can't imagine trying to be a teacher in this day and age if every single kid is just staring at their cell phone.

00:12:23.800 The grant program will cover the cost of putting a cell phone ban into place, providing schools with secure pouches for students to store their phones during the school day.

00:12:34.680 All Arkansas school districts are invited to join this pilot program.

00:12:39.800 The governor, the governor and Arkansas secretary of education, Jacob Oliva, wrote in a letter yesterday.

00:12:47.580 We have made this a priority in our administration and we are committing state resources to help with this crisis.

00:12:54.900 To that end, we are excited to announce the pilot program focused on two key priorities, restricting in-school phone use and mental health care.

00:13:04.000 We invite your district to join.

00:13:05.980 Sanders notes that youth depression, anxiety and isolation have risen across the country.

00:13:12.100 We know that and that the average American teen now spends nearly five hours a day on social media.

00:13:20.360 Can you believe that?

00:13:21.580 Five hours a day.

00:13:22.740 I mean, if you sleep for eight hours and then you spend five hours a day on social media, that only leaves six hours left in the day to accomplish what you need.

00:13:31.420 That's not nearly enough.

00:13:32.540 I think y'all know what I'm talking about.

00:13:33.780 Meanwhile, the teen suicide rate has spiked since smartphones became widespread and has self-harm among girls, especially teen math, reading and science scores have dropped across the country.

00:13:47.680 That's five hours a day, not with friends, not outside, not learning.

00:13:51.820 Sanders said the facts are grim, but things there are things that we can do to help.

00:13:56.920 Big tech created an addicting product and marketed it to the most impressionable population out there, our kids.

00:14:05.960 She's right about that.

00:14:07.460 Sanders also emphasized education during her administration, saying she hopes to be known as the educating governor.

00:14:14.880 Wow, a day after my education opened, we're out here changing the world on this show, thanks to you all listening.

00:14:21.160 She successfully pushed Arkansas legislature to pass a universal school choice bill that also removed obscene sexual materials and critical race theory from classrooms, establish new education standards and raise teachers pay.

00:14:36.800 She did all that and still raise the teachers pay. 1.00

00:14:39.120 Sanders also led Arkansas in passing a law requiring minors to get parental permission to sign up for social media accounts.

00:14:47.520 This just seems like win after win after win.

00:14:50.200 Although that one was blocked by a federal judge.

00:14:53.760 Okay, I'm sorry.

00:14:54.620 I spoke too soon.

00:14:55.620 She's winning.

00:14:56.920 That judge is losing.

00:14:58.320 Public schools that participate in Arkansas's new program will be rewarded with additional funding, including extra funding for telehealth, mental health services.

00:15:07.160 They will also get extra support in navigating mental and behavioral health science, health care, substance abuse care, and social services for students, families, and school employees, as well as help navigating the insurance that that takes.

00:15:22.440 Last month, Sanders and the state education secretary met with several Arkansas superintendents and took their recommendations into account when crafting the program.

00:15:32.100 The grant program will be available for schools next academic year.

00:15:36.780 She also signed, remember this, she also signed an executive order protecting girls in women's sports and protecting Title IX.

00:15:45.280 I saw that from Riley Gaines just a couple months ago.

00:15:47.840 Sarah Sanders, Arkansas governor, win. 0.67

00:15:50.840 Major, major win.

00:15:52.120 All right, let's move on to the next story here.

00:15:54.900 I believe this one comes from producer McKenna.

00:15:58.500 Let's just get into this.

00:16:00.920 Headline, disc-shaped craft hovers over Colorado concert venue, employees say.

00:16:09.220 It knew it was being watched.

00:16:11.740 This is on Fox News.

00:16:14.020 I can't wait for this one.

00:16:15.700 All right, let's go ahead and dive in.

00:16:17.400 A dozen employees said they watched a large disc-shaped craft hover above a Colorado concert venue.

00:16:25.740 Quote, what's even crazier is that as soon as we all started noticing it and stopped what we were doing to pay attention,

00:16:33.160 the craft tipped at an angle and slowly started moving belly first to the east.

00:16:39.580 The craft started moving belly first to the east.

00:16:43.100 I got to highlight some of this stuff.

00:16:44.500 Oh, this was from an employee that reported that to the National UFO Reporting Center.

00:16:51.620 This story breaks and Matt Walsh is out.

00:16:54.520 Matt Walsh is on vacation as this broke.

00:16:56.500 I tried to tell y'all the other day that there was a UFO convention.

00:17:00.000 I guess this is where it was.

00:17:01.760 He reported this to the National UFO Reporting Center about the June 5th sighting.

00:17:06.140 This is at Red Rocks Amphitheater in Morrison.

00:17:09.580 This goes on to quote,

00:17:10.740 Then it started fading away until it was invisible.

00:17:14.500 It didn't shoot off into the distance.

00:17:17.560 It simply dissolved into the ether.

00:17:20.080 We all watched it vanish.

00:17:21.540 It dissolved into the ether.

00:17:23.460 The silent hovering object was long, about the size of a three-story office building.

00:17:28.420 This thing's the size of a three-story office building in the sky with three levels of windows and lights,

00:17:34.660 according to the National UFO Reporting Center.

00:17:37.540 One of our co-workers suddenly said to us,

00:17:39.780 Hey, man, what is that over there?

00:17:41.600 It looks like a spaceship.

00:17:43.060 Look, this is on Fox.

00:17:44.120 This is on Fox News that we've printed off here.

00:17:46.540 It looks like a spaceship, the anonymous reporting employee wrote.

00:17:50.000 We all turned to look in the direction he was pointing.

00:17:52.400 And sure enough, there was a UFO hovering about a half mile north.

00:17:55.920 They all turned their attention to the strange object in the sky,

00:17:59.920 and suddenly it faded into nothing as soon as it knew that it was being watched.

00:18:05.080 And here's the photo.

00:18:06.340 Here's the photo that they put on here.

00:18:09.640 I love how they take a photo from what's clearly a movie that got made,

00:18:14.300 a movie about UFOs and aliens,

00:18:16.260 and they put it right there so that we think this is the craft they were talking about.

00:18:20.880 Now, that's when it, again, simply dissolved into the ether.

00:18:24.620 That's so cool.

00:18:25.560 A dozen of us saw it.

00:18:27.100 We all kept asking each other,

00:18:28.480 Are you seeing this too?

00:18:29.980 It was a resounding yes from everyone in the group,

00:18:33.020 followed by,

00:18:34.360 Hey, man, pass the joint.

00:18:38.400 Oh, man, you know that's what they said next.

00:18:41.040 This was not a plane.

00:18:43.000 This was not a plane, they say.

00:18:45.000 It wasn't a satellite.

00:18:46.700 It was not a drone or anything like that.

00:18:49.620 Okay?

00:18:49.840 It was not anything like that.

00:18:51.940 There was no mistaking what it was.

00:18:54.460 It was a UFO.

00:18:56.340 So there's no mistaking what it was,

00:18:58.880 but it was unidentified as a flying object.

00:19:03.300 The way it appeared to simply, again, dissolve,

00:19:06.180 just dissolved right into that ether,

00:19:08.520 is similar to a potential alien encounter reported last April in Las Vegas

00:19:15.040 when beings seemingly vanished.

00:19:18.120 I was actually in Vegas at that time.

00:19:20.840 I saw a UFO last time I was in Vegas, too.

00:19:23.240 Last time I was there,

00:19:23.940 I was playing blackjack with Dana White.

00:19:25.960 The only thing that was unidentified was the amount of money this guy was spending per hand.

00:19:29.680 I couldn't believe it.

00:19:30.920 And now you are seeing beings in Las Vegas.

00:19:33.340 Scott Roden, a veteran crime scene reconstruction analyst broke down the Las Vegas witness video

00:19:41.560 and outlined two, quote-unquote, smoky filters that don't match the background.

00:19:48.040 He theorized that the beings use some sort of cloaking mechanism.

00:19:54.560 Cloaking mechanism.

00:19:56.160 From what I understand, that's very similar to what was done in the Harry Potter movies.

00:20:01.860 Doesn't he have like an invisibility cloak or something?

00:20:03.760 A cloaking mechanism to shield themselves from the curious family and later the responding officers.

00:20:09.800 In one second, in one second of real time, there are 30 frames that show a head with smoke around it.

00:20:18.020 Some sort of cloaking device moving into the top right corner of the video, peering over the fence.

00:20:23.760 I applied, this is a quote here from him,

00:20:25.240 I applied the same principles that I would apply to any kind of homicide investigation.

00:20:29.980 That's good to know.

00:20:30.920 We got the best of the best on this, man.

00:20:34.660 And this is the same guy who testified in cases like Oscar Petorius in the murder trial.

00:20:40.020 This gets better and better.

00:20:41.300 At this particular time, with what we've seen here, it's proof of a couple of things.

00:20:47.340 These are entities.

00:20:48.840 They are real.

00:20:50.100 They're there.

00:20:51.420 This is not fake.

00:20:53.040 This is not a fraud.

00:20:54.160 God said the guy to his two best friends, Cheech and Chong.

00:21:00.380 There are believers, skeptics, and people on the fence about extraterrestrial life,

00:21:05.400 but there's a growing interest in UFOs or UAPs as they're referred to today.

00:21:11.600 UAPs, Unidentified Anomalous Phenomenon, as they're referred to.

00:21:16.400 They're not referred to that today.

00:21:18.920 No one refers to them as that today.

00:21:20.920 You just made that up.

00:21:21.920 You just made that up and said it so that you hope that people refer to them as that now.

00:21:26.740 UFOs, I understand.

00:21:28.200 Stop making up new stuff and saying like, oh, everyone refers to them as that now.

00:21:32.640 That's not the case.

00:21:33.980 Rotor worked with Jim Quirk.

00:21:37.100 Perfect names for this.

00:21:38.180 I'm not completely convinced that this is a real story, but they printed it for me.

00:21:42.360 Fox News, Jim Quirk, a reporter who runs the Extraterrestrial Reality Podcast and who shares

00:21:48.660 videos and images with Fox News.

00:21:51.580 Rotor wanted to open it up to peer review.

00:21:55.880 He said, bring it on.

00:21:57.860 Bring it on, man.

00:21:58.820 Any peer review.

00:22:00.060 These people are crazier than guys who think banjos are better than guitars, if I'm just 0.77

00:22:03.940 being honest. 0.97

00:22:04.640 I want to open this up.

00:22:06.400 Everything that we've done, I'm opening it up for peer review.

00:22:09.980 I'm willing to hear what professionals in my field have to say about this and open it

00:22:15.260 up.

00:22:15.680 If I'm wrong, you know, I'll admit it.

00:22:18.180 If I'm wrong, I'll admit it.

00:22:20.880 But he's certain that he's right, he says.

00:22:24.200 These two items, these two beings are the real world environment with the Kenmore family.

00:22:31.360 That's a fact.

00:22:32.620 Now the question is, who are they?

00:22:34.500 Who could they possibly be?

00:22:36.080 Where are they from and what do they want?

00:22:38.800 That's where the conversation goes.

00:22:43.980 I remember, I'll end this with this.

00:22:46.720 I remember in third grade being told about the Loch Ness Monster.

00:22:51.460 That was the first time I had heard about the Loch Ness Monster.

00:22:54.120 And I got obsessed.

00:22:56.520 I got obsessed with this thing.

00:22:57.880 There's a monster?

00:22:59.780 There's a monster over in Scotland?

00:23:03.180 The Loch Ness Monster?

00:23:04.260 And people haven't really seen him, but some people have taken pictures and there's a couple

00:23:08.640 photos, but they're all really grainy.

00:23:11.480 That's so cool.

00:23:12.600 I wonder if I could go over there and see what the Loch Ness Monster is all about.

00:23:16.500 Just to find out in fourth grade that he, in fact, doesn't exist at all and all of those

00:23:21.700 photos were faked.

00:23:23.820 And then, you know, I got over that and I grew up.

00:23:28.520 So now it's your turn.

00:23:31.000 All right.

00:23:31.520 Next story.

00:23:33.340 Dr. Disrespect.

00:23:35.680 Dis-ray-spec-t.

00:23:37.340 Dis-ray-spec.

00:23:38.620 Dis-ray wears her specs.

00:23:39.920 My co-host, Blaine Crane, told me about this story last week.

00:23:46.540 I don't know who Dr. Disrespect is.

00:23:48.840 I guess he's a competitive gamer.

00:23:50.840 I understand the concept of it.

00:23:52.320 He plays video games while other people watch him on a Twitch stream or something like that.

00:23:57.300 These first-person shooter games.

00:24:00.540 Not my thing.

00:24:01.720 Not my world.

00:24:02.960 Would never spend any time doing this.

00:24:04.500 I don't know.

00:24:05.040 But here's the headline of this article.

00:24:07.540 Dr. Disrespect knowingly sent explicit messages to a minor, the former Twitch employee says.

00:24:14.960 And that's minor as in like an underage person, not like someone who's trying to get coal from

00:24:20.560 the ground.

00:24:21.160 Let's work through this article together.

00:24:22.440 Actually, do we have a video?

00:24:23.760 Can I see a video of Dr. Disrespect in action so that I know what someone who plays video

00:24:30.760 games while other people watch for a living looks like?

00:24:35.520 There it is.

00:24:36.720 Go, baby.

00:24:37.540 Go! 0.95

00:24:39.080 Woo! 0.99

00:24:39.880 Slow down, baby! 1.00

00:24:42.500 Boom! 0.99

00:24:44.440 Where's this going?

00:24:46.120 What are we doing?

00:24:46.920 Where are we?

00:24:50.080 Oh, go! 1.00

00:24:51.480 Okay.

00:24:51.920 I get it.

00:24:52.620 I get it.

00:24:53.820 The wig, the sunglasses, he's got the mustache.

00:24:57.140 All right.

00:24:57.320 So this says four years.

00:24:58.460 This is four years after gamer celebrity and streaming star Dr. Disrespect, who's 42 years

00:25:04.880 old, was banned from Twitch for undisclosed reasons.

00:25:09.120 Reports emerged this week that he allegedly used the Amazon-owned platform's direct messaging

00:25:14.560 feature to send sexually explicit text to a minor.

00:25:18.360 Now, the internal response to those alleged conversations, long a subject of rumor and speculation, these have finally come to light.

00:25:27.820 In June 2020, there was a hashtag MeToo reckoning of sorts within the gaming community, with dozens in the industry leveling more than 70 allegations of sexual misconduct and assault against high-profile streamers, e-sports broadcasters, and game developers.

00:25:45.100 This goes on to say, June 2020, it's promising to take strong and immediate action on credible allegations against their creators.

00:25:54.780 We take accusations of sexual harassment and misconduct extremely seriously, the company said in a statement.

00:26:00.720 We are actively looking into the accounts concerning streamings affiliated with Twitch, and we'll work with law enforcement where applicable.

00:26:09.920 So Guy BM, a.k.a. Dr. Disrespect, is that how you say his name?

00:26:14.200 Guy, guy, beam, beam, beam, anyway, yeah, Dr. Disrespect, a flamboyant, that's, yeah, an understatement, a flamboyant game personality,

00:26:25.340 and one of the most popular creators on Twitch with over 4 million followers at the time was permanently banned from the platform five days later.

00:26:34.660 Renowned for playing, there's the keyword, playing battle royale shoot-em-up games in character as a kind of alpha jock sporting a thick mustache,

00:26:43.600 mullet wig, he signed a major multi-year deal with the company that March.

00:26:49.220 Commenting on his lifetime suspension, Twitch would only confirm that he had violated community guidelines.

00:26:55.700 Okay, so this platform, this gaming platform, Twitch, suspended Dr. Disrespect, a lifetime suspension,

00:27:04.420 but could only confirm that he had violated community guidelines.

00:27:08.900 They wouldn't get any more specific than that.

00:27:11.920 Soon after, Discord, right, it's another one of these platforms, cut him loose from their partnership program,

00:27:18.580 reserved for the most active and popular server communities.

00:27:22.300 Dr. Disrespect went on to sue Twitch over financial losses and reputational damage.

00:27:28.440 He settled with the company in 2022.

00:27:31.400 Neither party admitted to any wrongdoing.

00:27:33.680 Meanwhile, the cause for the ban remained a mystery, prompting years of innuendo, conspiracy theories,

00:27:38.980 and questions about whether Twitch, about why neither Twitch nor gaming journalists had been able to reveal the true nature of Dr. Disrespect's violation.

00:27:47.620 The primary author, this says full disclosure, the primary author of this article,

00:27:52.960 Rod Breslow, first learned the reason for Dr. Disrespect's ban from a credible source in June of 2020,

00:28:02.340 but chose not to report on it then due to the extreme sensitivity of the topic.

00:28:09.100 What?

00:28:09.300 So the journalist who's helping write even this article or the primary version of this article knew what really happened with Dr. Disrespect

00:28:21.080 and why he was banned from Twitch, but didn't say anything, didn't report it because of the extreme sensitivity of the topic.

00:28:29.960 Isn't that when we need reporters the most?

00:28:32.680 Aren't situations like that when we need journalists the most, not to keep this stuff secret?

00:28:37.700 The gossip reached fever pitch on June 21st when former Twitch employee Cody Connors, without naming Dr. Disrespect,

00:28:46.180 tweeted what many interpreted as an explanation of why he'd been banned.

00:28:52.100 Disrespect denied any wrongdoing in a tweet the following day.

00:28:55.060 I didn't do anything wrong.

00:28:56.300 We're going to get to that tweet here in just a second.

00:29:00.000 On Monday, Dr. Disrespect was fired from Midnight Society, the gaming studio he co-founded,

00:29:04.980 which said it had investigated the allegation against him after learning of it the night Connors' cryptic tweet.

00:29:12.440 So Dr. Disrespect, who did not reply to a request for comment on this story here,

00:29:17.220 once again took to Twitter to defend himself, this time having a longer statement,

00:29:22.480 and he did admit to having mutual conversations with a minor that sometimes lean too much in the direction of being inappropriate.

00:29:29.140 The tweet's edit history shows that Dr. Disrespect had edited the tweet after posting it and removed the word minor,

00:29:39.280 replacing it with individual, though once readers noticed this change, the word minor reappeared.

00:29:47.220 So even in the apology, we can't get all the facts without it being edited.

00:29:51.260 This is some of the tweet that Dr. Disrespect sent from his ex-account has 122 million views.

00:29:59.880 If you're ever wondering why we're covering stories like this,

00:30:02.640 because these influencers truly have this much influence, 122 million views.

00:30:07.920 The Twitch band, hello, I'd like to make a quick statement.

00:30:11.160 Let's cut the effing BS.

00:30:13.380 As you know, there's no filter with me.

00:30:15.140 I've always been upfront and real with you guys on anything that I can be upfront about,

00:30:22.320 and I'm always willing to accept responsibility.

00:30:25.020 This goes on to say, nothing illegal happened.

00:30:27.740 No pictures were shared.

00:30:28.980 No crimes were committed.

00:30:30.300 I never even met the individual.

00:30:32.680 I went through a lengthy arbitration regarding a civil dispute with Twitch,

00:30:36.800 and that case was resolved by a settlement.

00:30:39.420 But trust me when I say this to all my haters, to all my haters that live and breathe social media

00:30:47.300 with zero real life experience, I don't give a blank about you.

00:30:52.560 They want me to disappear.

00:30:54.500 Yeah, effing right.

00:30:56.240 So again, this is on Rolling Stone, and he did not respond to comment.

00:31:01.580 Look, I don't know much about this guy.

00:31:03.360 I never, I don't play video games, much less watch someone else play video games.

00:31:08.120 Clearly, he has a lot of influence, a lot of followers, a lot of people check out his channel,

00:31:14.820 want to hear what he has to say.

00:31:19.220 You know, I'm going to wait for more facts to come out before I say anything so I don't get in

00:31:24.740 trouble, but I don't know.

00:31:25.940 It's pretty disgusting to me.

00:31:27.300 Let's hope it's, let's just hope it's all some misunderstanding,

00:31:30.080 and maybe the journalists will report it in real time next time.

00:31:34.800 All right, next one up here. 0.74

00:31:36.200 All right, I was told I was foolish for accepting this gig here.

00:31:44.200 Fill in for Matt Walsh.

00:31:46.560 There's no way, there's no way you can pull it off.

00:31:49.400 The seat is just too big, and also the Sweet Baby Gang is just too vicious. 0.96

00:31:56.040 They will destroy you.

00:31:57.760 So I really, I had to find out.

00:31:59.460 I had to find out how vicious they were.

00:32:02.160 So I sent out a post yesterday.

00:32:04.200 I said, Sweet Baby Gang, roast me.

00:32:07.020 Top comments get read on the Matt Walsh show tomorrow.

00:32:10.280 Tomorrow is today.

00:32:11.800 I will make good on my promise.

00:32:14.140 Some of these, I got a chance to see as they were rolling in.

00:32:17.380 Most of these, I have not though, but our producers put this together for me.

00:32:21.440 So let's just get started, shall we?

00:32:23.120 The Roast of David Cohn.

00:32:25.440 David Cohn is what Matt Walsh would have looked like if he was raised on Puberty Blockers. 0.91

00:32:34.240 That's good.

00:32:35.000 That's on theme.

00:32:36.020 That's on theme for the show.

00:32:37.480 That's on theme for Matt.

00:32:38.620 That's solid.

00:32:39.680 My wife thought I was listening to CNN the other day because of the lack of Matt's voice

00:32:44.700 and harsh judgments thundering through my speakers.

00:32:47.820 CNN?

00:32:49.060 Really?

00:32:50.700 Man, I thought I did better than that.

00:32:52.620 David Cohn went to high school in Statesboro, Georgia, where his hairline was voted most likely

00:32:58.240 to recede.

00:33:00.440 Is my hairline receding?

00:33:02.660 See, this is all news to me.

00:33:03.960 This is helpful.

00:33:05.120 This is helpful.

00:33:06.720 Your show is the reason people are raw dogging it on planes.

00:33:09.680 Raw dogging, now because I do, I did see Matt post about this the other day.

00:33:19.140 I'm aware that raw dogging, see, it meant something different when I was growing up.

00:33:22.080 Raw dogging it now on planes means you don't watch any entertainment and you just sit there

00:33:27.900 and watch as the flight tracker goes.

00:33:30.120 So my show, our show is so terrible.

00:33:32.760 I'm the reason people are raw dogging on planes.

00:33:34.720 That's smart.

00:33:35.320 That's clever.

00:33:35.760 You made the preposterous accusation that aliens don't exist.

00:33:40.340 Tried to sneak it in on Monday, but we caught you.

00:33:42.820 Buddy, I wasn't sneaking it in.

00:33:44.640 We just got done with a whole segment on that.

00:33:46.460 Pitbulls are evil.

00:33:47.400 This one's all caps. 0.99

00:33:48.440 Pitbulls are evil and you deserve to be canceled, Coney. 1.00

00:33:52.740 Look, I don't even know. 0.99

00:33:54.520 I can't.

00:33:55.180 Y'all come over tomorrow for the 4th of July.

00:33:57.360 Meet my pitbull Penny Lane and see what you have to say then. 1.00

00:34:00.440 You'll fall in love.

00:34:01.280 You'll probably want to take her home, which you cannot.

00:34:03.440 Flannel Fridays are superior to Flame and Dragging Friday.

00:34:06.320 All right, now we've got a problem.

00:34:08.120 Now we've got a real issue because now you're bringing my co-host on Craning Company into

00:34:12.340 this thing.

00:34:13.580 That's Dr. Disrespectful right there.

00:34:16.240 Timu Elon Musk.

00:34:18.520 What is Timu?

00:34:19.920 Y'all know what Timu is?

00:34:21.340 No?

00:34:21.740 All right.

00:34:22.080 Timu Elon Musk.

00:34:23.100 You had to expect some Elon Musk ones.

00:34:24.600 David Cohn is what you get when you cross Elon Musk and one of his Neuralink test subjects.

00:34:29.360 That one's pretty good.

00:34:30.720 That's smart.

00:34:31.240 Let's be real.

00:34:32.300 David Adam Cohn doesn't want any smoke from Humping Badger.

00:34:35.820 Dude was just hating on that mascot for getting more females than him in college, so he kidnapped

00:34:41.040 him.

00:34:41.720 I actually never thought about that.

00:34:43.420 They're talking about from Lady Ballers. 0.73

00:34:45.480 I never thought, is my character just hating on Humping Badger for getting more girls? 0.99

00:34:51.920 Nah, he's a pervert. 0.96

00:34:53.080 David could be, and has been on multiple occasions, replaced by a traffic cone. 0.99

00:34:59.520 That is true.

00:35:00.720 Replacement Cone is his name.

00:35:02.580 Who expected Walsh to take a vacation for World UFO Day and ended up with an extraterrestrial

00:35:08.760 filling his own seat?

00:35:11.140 Jake and Blaine do call me an alien.

00:35:13.280 They say I don't sweat or something.

00:35:14.680 Maybe I'll start sweating if these comments get better.

00:35:18.900 Was your college 40 time faster than your delivery on the Matt Walsh show?

00:35:23.380 Am I slow?

00:35:24.000 Well, I was under the impression I was going too fast through some of these segments.

00:35:28.900 Good to know that I'm slow.

00:35:30.040 And my college 40 time, they measured that thing with a sundial.

00:35:35.760 Cone kind of looks like Beavis and Butthead.

00:35:43.240 Looks like Beavis and Butthead.

00:35:45.260 That's solid.

00:35:46.360 Well, you have a decent singing voice here.

00:35:48.520 This one's starting off good.

00:35:49.520 You have a decent singing voice, and you're very tall, and you look like a discount version

00:35:53.980 of Elon Musk.

00:35:55.200 I don't know if there's anything to roast.

00:35:56.780 See, the backhanded ones, a discount version.

00:35:59.480 The backhanded ones are always the best.

00:36:01.420 Matt Walsh blog wanted an articulate, thought-provoking personality to fill in for him.

00:36:06.840 Thank you.

00:36:08.100 But Joe Biden wasn't available, so they called David Cone.

00:36:11.280 That's unacceptable.

00:36:12.720 That man can't finish his sentences.

00:36:15.140 All right?

00:36:15.760 Am I doing that bad?

00:36:18.860 David Cone and I have the same number of touchdown passes in college.

00:36:23.980 And I've never played college football.

00:36:26.700 I wish, man, I wish I could say that one wasn't true, but it is.

00:36:31.300 On all-time list of Michigan quarterbacks, David Cone is right behind Tom Brady.

00:36:36.360 Now we're getting somewhere.

00:36:37.980 The list is alphabetical, though.

00:36:41.360 That hurts.

00:36:42.480 If David Cone was as talented a QB as he is a talk show host, he'd still be playing.

00:36:49.180 That one is also very true.

00:36:51.600 One time he played until he was, what, 45?

00:36:54.020 God.

00:36:55.060 He'd be rich, too.

00:36:56.040 David Cone has now been the substitute host of the Matt Walsh Show as many times as he completed a pass for the Michigan Wolverines.

00:37:05.020 I'll have you know I have the highest completion percentage of any Michigan quarterback ever of all time who's from the state of Georgia and whose last name is Cone.

00:37:15.500 All right.

00:37:17.000 This one is about my new song, Southward Bound.

00:37:20.280 Give me 20 minutes with a Suno.

00:37:23.800 Suno.

00:37:24.300 S-U-N-O. 1.00

00:37:25.200 What is that?

00:37:25.920 Is that A-I? 0.97

00:37:27.000 That must be artificial intelligence.

00:37:28.460 Give me 20 minutes with a Suno and I could make a better song.

00:37:31.860 Now they're talking about my music producers.

00:37:34.280 Do I have to sit here and take this?

00:37:36.400 I mean, can I say back to this guy, give me 20 minutes with your mom and she'd have a better son?

00:37:41.000 Or is that too far?

00:37:43.280 No, you can go for it.

00:37:44.760 Oh, I can't.

00:37:45.440 I think my wife would probably shut that down, though. 1.00

00:37:47.640 I asked for this, I guess.

00:37:49.600 Bro is twice as tall as Matt and produces half as much testosterone.

00:37:56.420 See, that's funny, man.

00:37:57.800 That's on brand.

00:37:59.900 And because it's funny because it's so not true, right?

00:38:02.540 Like in what world could Matt Walsh ever have more testosterone than me?

00:38:06.860 There is not a world that exists.

00:38:09.200 And yet you type that and you put it and that's why it's funny.

00:38:12.620 Well done.

00:38:13.540 If you ordered a David Cohn autographed baseball off Timu, it's from this guy.

00:38:18.360 What is Timu?

00:38:19.100 Is this the?

00:38:19.860 It's like wish.com.

00:38:22.220 Wish.com.

00:38:23.440 All right.

00:38:24.740 All right.

00:38:25.880 David Cohn is most famous for not being the real David Cohn.

00:38:29.760 Awesome.

00:38:30.280 Okay.

00:38:30.460 You weren't even that good of a pitcher for the Yankees outside of one game.

00:38:33.560 Uh, you were an average pitcher at best 17 years and only like six good seasons.

00:38:39.320 Uh, how about that time you let runners score while you were arguing with the, oh, wait, I'm

00:38:43.220 sorry.

00:38:43.520 Wrong David Cohn.

00:38:44.340 I don't know who you are.

00:38:46.740 This guy is a less feminine Michael Knowles.

00:38:49.100 That.

00:38:49.980 Okay.

00:38:50.260 Now I'm getting compared to Michael Knowles.

00:38:51.720 That's a compliment.

00:38:52.640 David Cohn looks like he's playing Matt Walsh in a movie about Michael Knowles.

00:38:57.120 Meaning that it's not whoever you would cast as Matt Walsh doesn't need to be.

00:39:03.160 I get it.

00:39:03.800 That's, that's kind of funny.

00:39:05.560 Who are you again?

00:39:06.800 They're cutting me deep.

00:39:08.240 David Cohn is the kind of guy who thinks he deserves a roast after substituting on a

00:39:11.720 podcast for three shows.

00:39:13.820 Yeah, that's, that's pretty good.

00:39:15.420 I am trying to get my Tom Brady on, I guess.

00:39:17.520 Uh, Tall and height, shortened talent and over glorified traffic cone.

00:39:22.780 Well done.

00:39:23.860 Uh, this one says high school pick.

00:39:25.540 Look, we have the high school pick.

00:39:28.120 Oh, yes.

00:39:31.680 I guess that's how they wanted to roast me.

00:39:34.360 Statesboro Blue Devils.

00:39:35.340 Look, that one, I'll take no shame in that.

00:39:37.500 That's state champs.

00:39:38.440 15 and 0.

00:39:39.880 Statesboro High School.

00:39:41.520 Um, but I guess, yeah, maybe the buzz cut should have gone a different direction.

00:39:46.560 David Cohn, my third favorite host on Crane and Company and on the Matt Walsh.

00:39:51.020 So I'm third out of three on Crane and I'm third out of one on the Matt Walsh show.

00:39:56.340 See, that's funny.

00:39:56.940 That's clever.

00:39:57.440 That's smart.

00:39:57.980 If Elon Musk and Chris Pratt had a baby and then the baby got repeatedly dropped on its

00:40:03.260 head, you'd get David Cohn.

00:40:04.740 There you go.

00:40:05.380 That's funny.

00:40:05.880 You look like Andre the Giant had a love child with Christian Bale on the set of The Machinist.

00:40:11.380 Oh, Christian Bale looks terrible in that movie.

00:40:17.280 Not going to roast you, fam.

00:40:18.820 Nothing but love.

00:40:19.700 Thank you. 1.00

00:40:20.700 You do have some gay ass ankles, though, but I can't hold that against you. 1.00

00:40:26.460 You do need to cover those up, though. 1.00

00:40:29.540 See, these are the backhanded ones where they slip that in.

00:40:33.380 Those are the best.

00:40:34.360 That might be top one right now.

00:40:36.240 I think you do pretty good.

00:40:37.660 You answer every question.

00:40:39.160 You're special in your own way.

00:40:40.520 Now I'm getting the Jill Biden treatment.

00:40:42.540 Your delivery is drier than beef jerky, and your audience is like your hairline.

00:40:46.020 It is receding.

00:40:46.920 Man, a lot on the hairline today.

00:40:48.360 I thought that was one area that I might find quarter in.

00:40:53.320 You went to Michigan.

00:40:54.580 That's good.

00:40:56.620 That's a good, solid roast.

00:40:58.100 Your lack of depth should force you to change your name from David Cohn to David Triangle.

00:41:03.800 It's clear Matt chose you to fill in for the same reason Sleepy Joe chose Kamala as a

00:41:08.380 running mate job security to show everyone watching that it could be worse.

00:41:13.200 It did cross my mind when I got this invitation.

00:41:16.720 Matt is secretly an alien that can transform into David Cohn, and he is pretending to be

00:41:22.880 on vacation so he can act like a guest host on his own show to find out which haters infiltrated

00:41:28.340 the Sweet Baby Gang and who don't abide by Matt's belief in alien life forms.

00:41:32.740 That's deep, man.

00:41:34.280 That's complicated.

00:41:35.260 Last one up.

00:41:36.060 This one says twinsies.

00:41:37.720 Show picture.

00:41:39.100 Twinsies.

00:41:39.540 Who's my twin?

00:41:41.740 Really?

00:41:44.180 Nancy Pelosi is my twin?

00:41:47.520 All right.

00:41:48.700 I guess that, oh, hold on.

00:41:49.760 Cohn is a former quarterback, but I doubt he has the dexterity to toss a show card straight

00:41:53.980 up in the air.

00:41:54.640 Hey, that's Jake Crane's thing.

00:41:55.860 I'm not going to do that.

00:41:56.560 Also, shout out to Sweet Baby Historian for helping me all week, you know, get all the information

00:42:02.080 and everything that I needed on the Walsh-isms.

00:42:05.140 Producers, that was pretty good.

00:42:06.660 That was pretty solid.

00:42:07.720 I'm cut deep.

00:42:08.860 I won't sleep well tonight, but nice work, Sweet Baby Gang.

00:42:13.060 Let's talk freedom.

00:42:59.780 left and build the future.

00:43:01.980 Now let's get to our daily cancellation.

00:43:09.880 The Olympic Games are set to begin this month in Paris, and you may think, being a sports

00:43:15.220 show host, that is an exciting time for me.

00:43:17.560 It is not.

00:43:18.760 Now, there was a time when I did enjoy supporting the American athletes.

00:43:22.300 Even in the events that I cared little or knew little about.

00:43:26.020 But increasingly, many of the competitors we send, not all, but many, and many of the

00:43:31.180 most vocal, such as Megan Rapinoe and her women's soccer teammates, they're increasingly

00:43:36.420 anti-American.

00:43:38.020 There was a time when I enjoyed watching the greatest athletes in the world, regardless

00:43:41.820 of nationality, push themselves to the peak of physical achievement.

00:43:45.580 But these days, it seems the Olympic organizers themselves are embarrassed about the competitive

00:43:51.280 nature that the games demand.

00:43:53.880 The International Olympic Committee updated its guidelines last month to ensure gender

00:43:58.860 equal representation for all athletes.

00:44:02.020 The Gender Equality Review Project states the 2024 Paris Games are the first to achieve

00:44:08.320 full gender parity on the field of play, and it hopes to shift public perception, to raise

00:44:15.320 awareness about the gender gap, as well as the differences on how sports women are portrayed

00:44:22.520 in comparison to their male counterparts.

00:44:25.140 Okay.

00:44:25.680 This makes no mention of the interest difference men and women have across sports categories,

00:44:31.240 but fine.

00:44:32.400 So be it.

00:44:32.920 50% male, 50% female, let's just compete, right? 0.97

00:44:37.760 Nope.

00:44:38.360 Hold up.

00:44:38.940 Directly after that statement, the IOC mandates respectful and inclusive coverage of transgender

00:44:44.780 and non-binary participants.

00:44:46.980 So at first, they not only know what a woman is, but their entire mission is to provide said

00:44:54.020 woman with equal representation. 1.00

00:44:55.600 Then from one sentence to the next, they not only admit that gender doesn't adhere to a binary,

00:45:01.600 but that some of those athletes will be competing for medals against the girls.

00:45:06.840 The Olympic Committee has cowered on this issue, choosing instead to kick those decisions

00:45:12.160 to the governing bodies of the individual sports, which is why some are allowed and others not.

00:45:18.040 For instance, it was a big win for the pro-reality movement when the governing body world of aquatics

00:45:24.300 shut down Leah Thomas, formerly Will Thomas, from swimming in Paris.

00:45:28.380 We at Crane & Company just spoke to Kristen Wagner of ADF about this issue.

00:45:33.680 Other sports aren't so lucky, though.

00:45:35.980 Bring up that video from the weightlifter from Tokyo.

00:45:39.060 This was the last Olympics here.

00:45:42.000 Laurel Hubbard.

00:45:42.800 Let's watch this.

00:45:44.960 That dude right there.

00:45:46.460 My grandfather did not fist fight Hitler, okay, in World War II, so this guy could wear a ladies 0.99

00:45:53.300 gold medal.

00:45:54.360 No way.

00:45:55.100 How about that other guy powerlifting against girls?

00:45:57.580 Do we have that clip?

00:45:58.680 Bring that one up. 0.80

00:46:09.140 Hey, there she is. 1.00

00:46:11.220 There she is.

00:46:15.220 I mean, we made lady ballers to make fun of this issue, but it really is just real life.

00:46:19.980 And I'll tell you what, I've agreed to some wild stuff in my life, but wearing hot pink,

00:46:25.240 a hot pink unitard for a powerlifting scene in a movie called Lady Ballers, that takes the cake.

00:46:31.820 And I still want to know what that badger was humping.

00:46:33.720 But to recap, the main mission of the 2024 Olympics is to empower women via equal representation.

00:46:40.680 Unless, of course, a man wishes to win the trophy, then he is free to do so.

00:46:45.640 The Olympic bosses are even going so far as to ban a list of harmful words, deeply hurtful phrases,

00:46:54.380 such as biological male, born male, and sex change.

00:47:01.340 You can't say those words at the Olympics anymore.

00:47:03.720 Because those can be dehumanizing and inaccurate.

00:47:08.000 Now, we'll say biological male, it's not hurtful, it's redundant.

00:47:11.160 You don't need those two words together.

00:47:12.880 There's only one way to be male.

00:47:14.320 It's biologically.

00:47:15.700 The Olympics was established to represent the pinnacle of athletic achievement.

00:47:20.520 I know this because the words chosen for the Olympic motto exactly 100 years ago in the same host city of Paris,

00:47:27.880 sidious, altious, fortious, meaning bigger, faster, stronger.

00:47:32.560 That was the only consideration.

00:47:35.320 How great can we be?

00:47:36.980 To give you an understanding of how much the world has changed since then, three years ago, the motto was tweaked to bigger, faster, stronger, together.

00:47:46.860 That one-word addition should tell you everything about the collectivist mindset that is overtaking every major institution in the world.

00:47:56.960 It seems innocuous enough.

00:47:58.620 I know.

00:47:59.500 Together.

00:48:00.300 What's wrong with that?

00:48:01.200 It undermines the very individual achievement that was the initial purpose of the world's foremost sporting competition.

00:48:09.920 And sports is just the tip of this deadly iceberg.

00:48:12.620 What about health?

00:48:13.840 WHO, World Health Organization, same mentality, cost us dearly when the COVID plague hit.

00:48:20.680 What about finance?

00:48:22.020 World Economic Forum.

00:48:24.060 Klaus Schwab trying to guide a great reset.

00:48:26.880 No thank you.

00:48:27.820 America must lead in these situations.

00:48:31.200 We cannot follow.

00:48:32.400 We must not follow faceless men into oblivion.

00:48:36.740 You may disagree with what I have to say, but at least I'm man enough to sit up here, say my piece, put it on video, and not kick the responsibility to anyone else or any other committees or any other governing bodies.

00:48:49.260 I realize this pains the hearts of the Sweet Baby Gang.

00:48:52.160 All of you were clearly hoping to watch the 2024 Olympics later this month.

00:48:58.000 Unfortunately, that will no longer be possible because as of today, the Olympic Games have been canceled.

00:49:04.140 All right, that's it for the Matt Walsh show today.

00:49:06.780 And that is it for me as Crane & Company comes back live next week, which make sure you watch Crane & Company, our sports show that's live every day at 3 p.m. Eastern.

00:49:15.860 But I do want to take a quick moment to say thank you to Matt Walsh.

00:49:19.660 This guy is one of the biggest stars on the planet for a reason, his ability to think outside the box for situations like this.

00:49:26.740 I mean, no one else would have given me the opportunity to sit in this chair.

00:49:29.720 A lot of people said I was crazy for doing so.

00:49:32.520 It would be a professional disaster because Matt Walsh is the only person who can sit in this chair and who can lead the Sweet Baby Gang.

00:49:40.940 But this guy constantly thinks outside the box.

00:49:43.360 He gave me this opportunity.

00:49:44.860 Matt Walsh, thank you so much for that.

00:49:46.560 And to his whole team, McKenna and Holly and Ryan and Andrea and Cam, you know, Jonesy back there.

00:49:53.160 I hate to name any names because I can't name everyone, but all the names you hear in the credits after these shows, they're real people here doing world-class work.

00:50:03.080 I do want to take one second to call out someone specifically, and that is producer Sean.

00:50:07.400 Sean, thank you so much.

00:50:08.840 Without your guidance, I wouldn't have been able to pull this off.

00:50:11.260 I wouldn't have had this opportunity.

00:50:12.860 So thank you all so much.

00:50:14.020 The Matt Walsh Show, it's a tremendous product.

00:50:17.360 I know I love it as well.

00:50:18.880 So thank you for this opportunity.

00:50:21.000 Please go follow me on social media.

00:50:22.820 If you're a true American, you'll pull out your phone right now and follow me at DavidAdamCone on X, on Instagram, on all social media platforms.
