The Matt Walsh Show - Ep. 1529 - Democrats PANIC After Their Horrifying Money Laundering Scheme Was Revealed

00:00:00.000 Today on the Matt Walsh Show, Democrats panic as Trump destroys their slush fund and money laundering operation.

00:00:05.400 He's making good on his promise to drain the swamp, and the swamp is not happy about it.

00:00:08.940 Also, trans activists rallied to demand that hospitals continue castrating children.

00:00:12.380 The governor of New Jersey appears to claim that he's breaking federal law by harboring fugitive aliens in his house.

00:00:18.240 And photographs from the surface of Mars have led some to speculate that there may be remnants of an advanced civilization buried beneath the surface.

00:00:24.460 Do I buy that theory? Well, of course I do.

00:00:26.380 All of that and more today on the Matt Walsh Show.

00:01:53.540 As Twitter began to gain popularity around 15 years ago,

00:01:57.080 millions of people in Cuba were looking for a similar website

00:01:59.860 that they could use to send short messages to the world.

00:02:02.960 It was difficult to access Twitter itself because Cuba's communist government

00:02:07.000 restricted internet access, so there was a big untapped market there.

00:02:11.080 Fortunately for Cubans, an alternative quickly emerged. 1.00

00:02:13.540 It was called Zunzunil, which is a Cuban expression

00:02:17.220 that's supposed to sound like the noise a hummingbird makes, I guess.

00:02:20.680 So we had Twitter, and they had a knockoff called Zunzunil.

00:02:25.280 But even though it was a pretty cheap knockoff,

00:02:27.720 the application quickly became popular,

00:02:29.220 gaining tens of thousands of users in a matter of months.

00:02:31.800 The creators of the app had obtained a list of 500,000 Cuban cell phone numbers

00:02:35.740 from somewhere, presumably the black market.

00:02:38.460 So they were able to pitch the program directly to users,

00:02:41.580 and cell phones were the key to the whole business model.

00:02:44.240 Zunzunil was able to evade Cuba's internet restrictions

00:02:47.540 because it relied entirely on text messaging and cellular services.

00:02:52.240 And after just a couple of years in service, though,

00:02:54.860 Zunzunil abruptly disappeared.

00:02:57.740 It just went offline without any warning whatsoever.

00:03:00.500 Nobody had any idea what had happened to it.

00:03:02.780 It wasn't until several years later that we learned the truth

00:03:06.160 because of an investigation that was published by the Associated Press.

00:03:08.980 It turns out that Zunzunil was secretly created

00:03:13.460 by the United States Agency for International Development, or USAID.

00:03:18.300 Yes, the U.S. government's International Development Agency

00:03:21.100 had created a social media app in Cuba without telling anyone,

00:03:25.540 in this country or in Cuba.

00:03:27.540 In response to this reporting, the White House spokesman at the time

00:03:29.740 claimed that it was all a big misunderstanding.

00:03:32.620 Watch.

00:03:32.920 The U.S. has admitted to being behind a Twitter-style text messaging service

00:03:38.580 in Cuba, but denies it was a covert operation to topple President Castro.

00:03:43.120 The Associated Press news agency revealed that the U.S. aid agency funded Zunzunil,

00:03:48.780 claiming it aimed to stir unrest, something the White House refuted.

00:03:53.700 Congress funds democracy programming for Cuba to help empower Cubans

00:03:57.700 to access more information and to strengthen civil society.

00:04:01.360 These appropriations are public, unlike covert action.

00:04:05.620 The money invested has been debated in Congress.

00:04:09.520 So the White House spokesman, Jay Carney, was, whatever happened to that guy?

00:04:14.800 The first 14-year-old to ever be appointed White House spokesperson.

00:04:18.580 I don't know whatever happened to him in the preceding years,

00:04:20.480 but he claims that everything's above board.

00:04:23.340 After all, USAID is all about helping other countries,

00:04:26.580 and we were just helping Cuba out.

00:04:28.300 What's the problem?

00:04:28.840 As it turns out, even if you assume that the U.S. should be helping out foreign countries

00:04:33.480 by sending them taxpayer money, which we obviously shouldn't be doing,

00:04:36.980 there are still major problems here, and here's a big one.

00:04:39.700 According to the AP, quote,

00:04:40.940 the estimated $1.6 million spent on Zunzuneo was publicly earmarked

00:04:45.560 for an unspecified project in Pakistan,

00:04:47.660 but those documents don't reveal where the funds were actually spent.

00:04:51.480 So in other words, this is what we call fraud.

00:04:54.020 Congress authorized the money to go to Pakistan.

00:04:57.480 The president signed an appropriations bill sending the money to Pakistan,

00:05:01.540 and the money did not go to Pakistan.

00:05:05.140 Not that we want any money going to Pakistan, by the way,

00:05:07.600 but they said that's where it's going, but instead it went to Cuba.

00:05:12.060 American voters were told the money was going to one place, but it went to another.

00:05:16.080 And there's a very clear reason why USAID might have been interested in lying

00:05:19.640 about where the money was going, which is this.

00:05:21.680 The point of spending the money was not to develop Cuba.

00:05:25.040 The point was to overthrow Cuba's government.

00:05:27.660 Quoting again from the AP,

00:05:29.000 USAID and its contractors went to extensive lengths

00:05:31.620 to conceal Washington's ties to the project,

00:05:33.540 according to interviews and documents obtained by the AP.

00:05:36.100 They set up front companies in Spain and the Cayman Islands

00:05:38.700 to hide the money trail and recruited CEOs

00:05:41.340 without telling them they'd be working on a U.S. taxpayer-funded project.

00:05:45.380 Eventually, they hoped the network would reach critical mass

00:05:48.160 so that dissidents could organize smart mobs,

00:05:50.760 mass gatherings called at a moment's notice,

00:05:52.900 that could trigger political demonstrations

00:05:54.440 or renegotiate the balance of power between the state and society.

00:05:59.300 Now, reading that, you can't help but think that,

00:06:02.360 think about all the smart mobs

00:06:04.580 that the government has probably worked to organize in this country.

00:06:08.760 This is clearly what our intelligence agencies are good at.

00:06:11.620 They launder money with the goal of overthrowing governments

00:06:14.400 with color revolutions all the time,

00:06:16.180 whether it's in Ukraine or Cuba or dozens of other places.

00:06:19.780 But you're supposed to think that they would never do the same thing here.

00:06:23.020 They would never say,

00:06:24.700 stoke racial tensions so that half the country is lit on fire 0.66

00:06:27.920 in the name of racial equity.

00:06:29.820 Now, in this particular case, the U.S. government got caught,

00:06:32.880 and that led to some embarrassment among Democrats.

00:06:35.160 For example, one prominent Democrat,

00:06:37.200 Senator Patrick Leahy of Vermont,

00:06:39.440 asked USAID,

00:06:40.780 quote,

00:06:40.960 what in heaven's name are you thinking?

00:06:43.500 If you're going to do a covert operation like this for a regime change,

00:06:46.940 assuming it ever makes any sense,

00:06:48.800 it's not something that should be done through USAID.

00:06:51.700 So he gave them a finger wagging,

00:06:53.940 and that was it.

00:06:56.900 Nothing else happened.

00:06:58.500 USAID suffered no consequences whatsoever.

00:07:02.600 I bring all this up because it's one of many egregious examples

00:07:05.960 of how USAID has been operating with total impunity

00:07:08.980 over the past several decades.

00:07:11.660 This is an agency that JFK created by executive order

00:07:14.260 during the Cold War to allegedly help fight the spread of communism,

00:07:17.480 and then Congress formally established USAID

00:07:20.220 with a law called the Foreign Assistance Act.

00:07:23.000 And ever since then,

00:07:23.620 the agency has steadily grown

00:07:25.180 and spent more and more taxpayer money overseas.

00:07:27.680 Like all government programs,

00:07:29.620 it has simply consumed more and more resources over time,

00:07:32.560 like cancer,

00:07:33.680 with no sign of ever going away.

00:07:35.960 There is no accountability

00:07:37.280 for any of this spending ever.

00:07:40.540 This is Enron-level accounting,

00:07:42.520 and we've been tolerating it for decades.

00:07:44.740 If Americans knew what was happening,

00:07:46.760 they would overwhelmingly oppose all of it.

00:07:49.740 So take a look at this chart

00:07:50.940 to give you just one more example.

00:07:52.740 This is from USAID's website,

00:07:54.600 and it was first flagged by somebody named Jeff Carlson.

00:07:58.240 You can look at the image on the screen.

00:07:59.880 As you can see,

00:08:01.020 as of September 2024,

00:08:02.420 USAID has already spent

00:08:04.020 most of the $39 billion

00:08:05.900 it has been allocated to for Ukraine.

00:08:10.240 Supposedly, this is not military assistance,

00:08:12.380 because after all,

00:08:13.080 USAID is about international development,

00:08:15.940 supposedly.

00:08:16.960 By contrast,

00:08:17.760 the Defense Department

00:08:18.520 was allocated something like

00:08:20.760 $124 billion for Ukraine,

00:08:23.540 and they spent around $49 billion of it.

00:08:26.600 In other words,

00:08:27.300 if you thought that Pentagon spending

00:08:29.240 accounted for the vast majority

00:08:30.600 of our spending in Ukraine,

00:08:31.600 you're wrong. 0.83

00:08:32.940 As it turns out,

00:08:33.740 USAID is doing a lot of work in Ukraine.

00:08:37.040 And the truth is,

00:08:38.220 we have no idea

00:08:39.720 what they're doing there.

00:08:41.980 Supposedly, the money is going

00:08:43.080 to an economic support fund

00:08:44.660 to pay the pensions and salaries

00:08:46.340 of Ukrainian government bureaucrats.

00:08:48.760 That's the stated reason,

00:08:50.840 which is bad enough.

00:08:53.540 Okay?

00:08:53.820 Like, giving money

00:08:54.860 to Ukrainian bureaucrats,

00:08:56.820 our tax money,

00:08:58.200 the money that comes out of our paychecks,

00:08:59.940 going to government officials

00:09:01.740 in Ukraine is bad enough.

00:09:04.640 It's very, very bad.

00:09:06.400 But almost certainly,

00:09:07.540 they're also laundering

00:09:08.440 a lot of money

00:09:08.960 to promote propaganda

00:09:09.940 for the war effort there.

00:09:11.980 The level of fraud

00:09:13.620 that's going on here

00:09:14.680 is just hard to comprehend.

00:09:18.260 Just imagine auditing

00:09:19.320 a $39 billion economic support fund

00:09:22.160 for Ukraine.

00:09:23.520 But there are no line items,

00:09:25.720 so you can only imagine it.

00:09:27.220 I mean, it's impossible

00:09:27.980 to actually audit it.

00:09:29.680 Again, this has been going on

00:09:30.500 for a very long time.

00:09:32.920 As far back as 2017,

00:09:34.520 Congressman Francis Rooney

00:09:35.680 pointed out that USAID

00:09:37.100 was subsidizing

00:09:37.980 the World Economic Forum

00:09:39.080 for no apparent reason.

00:09:41.200 Check it out.

00:09:42.720 And there are so many abuses of AID.

00:09:45.220 I found out that AID

00:09:46.960 has given money

00:09:48.160 to support the World Economic Forum.

00:09:50.320 Why would the United States taxpayer

00:09:52.040 be subsidizing

00:09:53.180 the World Economic Forum

00:09:54.300 when everybody that arrives over there

00:09:56.060 arrives in a Gulfstream G5?

00:09:57.980 Yes, we are paying

00:10:00.600 globalist billionaires

00:10:01.960 with your tax money.

00:10:04.180 You never voted for that.

00:10:06.160 Congress never authorized it.

00:10:08.000 But it happened.

00:10:09.520 And no one ever put an end

00:10:11.100 to this slush fund,

00:10:12.280 so it just grew bigger

00:10:13.320 and bigger and bigger.

00:10:14.780 The other day,

00:10:15.240 the White House press secretary

00:10:16.100 outlined a small percentage

00:10:17.620 of where some of this USAID money

00:10:20.080 is going today.

00:10:21.620 Watch.

00:10:22.920 Karen.

00:10:23.760 Do you know if Mr. Musk

00:10:24.720 took the same oath

00:10:25.500 that you and other senior advisors

00:10:27.280 to the president took

00:10:28.380 about adhering to the Constitution

00:10:30.420 following the law?

00:10:31.300 Do you know if he took that oath?

00:10:32.460 I don't know the answer

00:10:33.220 to that question,

00:10:33.900 but like I told Caitlin,

00:10:34.760 I can get back to you guys on that.

00:10:35.780 And do you know what expertise

00:10:36.900 he has in the areas

00:10:38.340 of global health

00:10:40.020 or humanitarian aid

00:10:42.460 to be able to assess

00:10:43.400 what's happening at USAID?

00:10:45.240 Well, first of all,

00:10:46.140 Elon Musk is a once-in-a-generation

00:10:48.380 business leader.

00:10:49.540 He is an entrepreneur.

00:10:50.800 He serves as a great ally

00:10:52.060 and a friend to the president.

00:10:53.600 And I think Elon Musk

00:10:54.660 also has a little bit

00:10:55.980 of common sense.

00:10:56.880 And I think the American people

00:10:57.940 really appreciate that

00:10:59.040 when it comes to

00:10:59.940 the federal government

00:11:00.680 because it seems like

00:11:01.620 all common sense

00:11:02.260 has been lost in this city.

00:11:03.780 And that's what you see

00:11:04.600 when you look at USAID.

00:11:06.120 I know Secretary Rubio

00:11:07.240 made some comments

00:11:08.060 about how he will be acting

00:11:09.340 as the director

00:11:10.480 over that agency.

00:11:11.840 And here's the reason

00:11:12.780 why Elon Musk

00:11:13.800 and others have been

00:11:14.480 taking a look.

00:11:15.120 Because if you look

00:11:15.820 at the waste and abuse

00:11:17.080 that has run through USAID

00:11:19.320 over the past several years,

00:11:20.640 these are some of the

00:11:21.460 insane priorities

00:11:22.620 that that organization

00:11:23.580 has been spending money on.

00:11:25.340 $1.5 million to advance

00:11:27.620 DEI in Serbia's workplaces.

00:11:30.820 $70,000 for a production

00:11:32.320 of a DEI musical in Ireland.

00:11:35.240 $47,000 for a transgender

00:11:37.340 opera in Colombia.

00:11:39.240 $32,000 for a transgender

00:11:41.220 comic book in Peru.

00:11:42.560 I don't know about you,

00:11:44.120 but as an American taxpayer,

00:11:45.200 I don't want my dollars 1.00

00:11:46.140 going towards this crap. 1.00

00:11:47.460 And I know the American 1.00

00:11:48.060 people don't either.

00:11:48.880 And that's exactly

00:11:49.640 what Elon Musk

00:11:50.420 has been tasked

00:11:51.360 by President Trump to do,

00:11:52.420 to get the fraud,

00:11:53.540 waste, and abuse

00:11:54.120 out of our federal government.

00:11:55.880 As bad as all those

00:11:57.420 line items sound,

00:11:58.460 and they obviously

00:11:59.080 sound really bad

00:11:59.960 and are really bad,

00:12:02.680 the truth is that

00:12:03.460 it's probably much worse

00:12:04.880 than that.

00:12:05.600 It's the federal government

00:12:06.480 that's saying

00:12:07.500 they're spending your money

00:12:08.900 to make gay comics

00:12:10.360 in Peru.

00:12:12.040 It's the federal government

00:12:13.420 that's saying

00:12:14.260 they dropped $70,000

00:12:15.660 to promote DEI

00:12:17.080 in Irish theaters.

00:12:18.960 That's what they're claiming.

00:12:20.460 And as we've established,

00:12:21.580 they have no problem

00:12:22.400 lying about all this.

00:12:23.460 So the chances are pretty high

00:12:24.440 that in reality,

00:12:25.300 all this money actually

00:12:26.420 went to coup attempts

00:12:27.440 that you know nothing about

00:12:28.880 and that you will never

00:12:30.120 know anything about.

00:12:31.600 In a previous era,

00:12:32.900 this is what we would call

00:12:34.400 a constitutional crisis.

00:12:36.960 A federal agency

00:12:37.780 has gone rogue.

00:12:39.220 They are spending money

00:12:40.160 that Congress

00:12:40.720 and the voters

00:12:41.480 have not authorized

00:12:42.800 them to spend.

00:12:43.480 And on top of that,

00:12:44.960 none of this

00:12:45.660 is a good idea anyway.

00:12:47.440 Since we're the only

00:12:48.380 country on the planet

00:12:49.100 that routinely dishes out

00:12:50.120 huge amounts of money

00:12:51.000 like this to foreign governments.

00:12:52.660 We shouldn't be giving

00:12:53.240 a single penny

00:12:54.040 of American tax dollars

00:12:55.040 to any foreign government

00:12:56.060 anywhere,

00:12:56.840 but we're doing

00:12:57.800 a lot more than that.

00:12:58.660 So now finally,

00:13:00.300 the Trump administration

00:13:00.860 is putting an end to it.

00:13:02.120 The USAID website

00:13:03.200 was just taken offline.

00:13:04.400 USAID workers

00:13:05.400 weren't allowed

00:13:05.920 in the building yesterday

00:13:06.780 and Trump and Elon Musk

00:13:08.440 have agreed that the agency

00:13:09.360 should be shut down.

00:13:11.040 In response,

00:13:11.560 Democrats are panicking

00:13:12.500 over this in a way

00:13:13.520 that they haven't panicked

00:13:15.220 over anything else

00:13:16.340 Trump has done.

00:13:16.960 I mean,

00:13:17.080 they panic about everything,

00:13:17.980 but this is several levels

00:13:20.900 beyond what we've seen

00:13:21.920 from them so far.

00:13:23.260 They are extremely animated

00:13:25.160 and upset

00:13:26.800 about the collapse

00:13:28.160 of an agency

00:13:28.740 that funnels money overseas

00:13:30.040 without accounting

00:13:30.960 for any of the spending.

00:13:33.080 So it's almost as if

00:13:34.140 they benefited

00:13:34.880 in some way

00:13:35.580 from this spending.

00:13:36.520 Here, for example,

00:13:37.220 is Congresswoman Ilhan Omar

00:13:38.980 who claims that this moment

00:13:40.420 is the official beginning

00:13:42.300 of Trump's dictatorship.

00:13:44.500 Yes, we're currently living

00:13:45.800 in the first dictatorship

00:13:47.260 in history

00:13:47.860 that began

00:13:48.560 with a popular vote victory

00:13:50.660 and that will end

00:13:52.840 four years later

00:13:54.400 at the conclusion

00:13:55.240 of the term

00:13:55.880 as prescribed

00:13:56.640 in the Constitution.

00:13:57.800 That's the kind

00:13:58.520 of dictatorship this is.

00:14:00.400 Watch her explain.

00:14:01.120 It is really,

00:14:04.120 really a sad day

00:14:05.340 in America.

00:14:06.760 We are witnessing

00:14:07.840 a constitutional crisis.

00:14:10.560 We talked about

00:14:12.380 Trump wanting

00:14:13.700 to be a dictator

00:14:15.140 on day one

00:14:16.180 and here we are.

00:14:18.760 This is what

00:14:20.140 the beginning

00:14:20.760 of dictatorship

00:14:21.820 looks like.

00:14:23.060 when you gut

00:14:24.600 the Constitution

00:14:26.080 and you install

00:14:28.280 yourself

00:14:28.840 as the sole power

00:14:30.600 that is how

00:14:31.920 dictators

00:14:32.500 are made.

00:14:34.340 What Trump

00:14:35.340 and Elon

00:14:36.200 and all

00:14:37.620 of their 0.99

00:14:38.280 croonies

00:14:39.080 are trying

00:14:39.780 to do

00:14:40.440 is take away

00:14:41.840 the constitutional

00:14:42.720 power

00:14:43.520 of Congress.

00:14:45.540 We get to decide.

00:14:47.380 We have

00:14:48.200 the power

00:14:49.080 of the purse.

00:14:50.040 Now,

00:14:51.940 if you get past

00:14:52.360 all the hysteria,

00:14:53.140 the point

00:14:53.460 she's trying

00:14:54.260 to make

00:14:54.720 is that USAID

00:14:56.340 was established

00:14:57.040 by Congress

00:14:57.860 and therefore

00:14:58.280 only Congress

00:14:59.160 can get rid

00:14:59.880 of the agency

00:15:00.720 and until that

00:15:01.860 happens,

00:15:02.320 if the president

00:15:02.780 doesn't want

00:15:03.440 to send

00:15:04.080 billions of

00:15:04.780 taxpayer dollars

00:15:05.400 overseas,

00:15:06.000 then he's a dictator.

00:15:07.760 That's what

00:15:08.220 she's saying.

00:15:09.200 But on the contrary,

00:15:10.480 this is of course

00:15:11.300 the exact opposite

00:15:12.020 of a dictatorship.

00:15:13.580 Trump ran

00:15:14.240 on certain promises

00:15:15.140 and is now

00:15:15.740 delivering to the voters

00:15:16.960 precisely what

00:15:17.940 they asked for.

00:15:18.640 One of those

00:15:20.200 promises

00:15:20.560 from the very

00:15:20.980 beginning

00:15:21.280 has been

00:15:22.040 to cut waste,

00:15:22.900 root out corruption

00:15:23.500 and drain the swamp.

00:15:24.920 It's pretty clear

00:15:25.460 that Trump

00:15:25.740 is doing

00:15:26.060 all three

00:15:26.500 of those things

00:15:27.120 through this

00:15:27.520 assault on USAID.

00:15:29.400 Trump,

00:15:29.980 as the executive,

00:15:31.100 doesn't have

00:15:31.700 to waste our money

00:15:32.480 even if Congress

00:15:33.280 has authorized

00:15:33.920 him to do so.

00:15:34.840 Even Democrats

00:15:35.400 agree with this,

00:15:35.920 by the way.

00:15:36.500 You might remember

00:15:36.940 that Democrats

00:15:37.420 once argued

00:15:38.040 that Barack Obama

00:15:38.740 didn't have to

00:15:39.980 enforce immigration law

00:15:41.160 even though it

00:15:41.620 was passed by Congress.

00:15:43.440 To the extent

00:15:44.120 anyone was acting

00:15:44.920 like a dictator

00:15:45.600 in this scenario,

00:15:46.420 it was the

00:15:46.820 unelected bureaucrats

00:15:48.120 at USAID.

00:15:50.620 No one voted

00:15:51.440 for them.

00:15:52.660 No one even

00:15:53.120 knows their names.

00:15:54.960 They routinely

00:15:55.800 lied about

00:15:56.420 where your money

00:15:56.880 was going.

00:15:57.380 They spent money

00:15:57.880 without congressional

00:15:58.580 authorization

00:15:59.020 in order to overthrow

00:15:59.880 foreign governments,

00:16:00.960 which is criminal

00:16:01.940 for about five

00:16:02.700 different reasons.

00:16:04.480 Even Democrats

00:16:05.180 have admitted that.

00:16:06.520 None of that

00:16:07.240 sounds particularly

00:16:08.020 Democratic,

00:16:09.260 and yet no one

00:16:10.760 in the Democrat

00:16:11.420 Party ever objected

00:16:12.540 to it.

00:16:12.800 The real reason

00:16:14.740 Democrats are

00:16:15.340 freaking out

00:16:15.780 is pretty obvious.

00:16:16.580 Trump is tearing

00:16:17.420 their money-longering

00:16:18.380 operation to pieces.

00:16:20.260 Their slush fund

00:16:21.340 is being drained.

00:16:23.160 You might remember

00:16:23.640 that Ilhan Omar

00:16:24.520 previously stated,

00:16:25.640 according to a translation

00:16:26.400 of her remarks

00:16:27.060 that was obtained

00:16:27.580 by the Daily Wire,

00:16:28.960 that as long as

00:16:29.760 she's in office,

00:16:30.740 quote,

00:16:31.060 Somalia will never 1.00

00:16:32.060 be in danger.

00:16:33.340 She also said

00:16:33.840 she would work,

00:16:35.220 quote,

00:16:35.300 day and night

00:16:35.980 to preserve

00:16:37.420 the interests

00:16:37.920 of Somalis

00:16:38.720 in the United States.

00:16:41.060 And part of that work,

00:16:43.000 we can assume,

00:16:43.540 means ensuring

00:16:44.060 that billions of dollars

00:16:45.000 in USAID

00:16:45.780 continues flowing

00:16:47.140 into Somalia

00:16:47.960 so that Somalia

00:16:48.900 can,

00:16:50.040 as it has always done,

00:16:51.480 squander all of it,

00:16:52.940 and the country

00:16:53.820 can continue

00:16:54.380 to be a hellhole,

00:16:55.580 which it has always been

00:16:57.040 and always will be.

00:16:58.860 This is the kind

00:16:59.800 of corrupt arrangement

00:17:00.780 that USAID

00:17:01.460 has established

00:17:02.000 for many politicians

00:17:03.060 in many different contexts,

00:17:04.620 and that's what

00:17:05.020 Ilhan Omar

00:17:05.460 is actually upset about.

00:17:06.880 And that would certainly

00:17:07.360 explain why,

00:17:08.100 seemingly out of nowhere,

00:17:09.600 Democrats are taking

00:17:10.460 to the streets

00:17:11.060 in defense of USAID.

00:17:13.060 They had a whole parade

00:17:14.160 of speakers outside

00:17:15.060 the agency headquarters

00:17:16.000 yesterday.

00:17:16.500 Here was Congressman

00:17:17.480 Jamie Raskin.

00:17:20.120 Elon Musk,

00:17:21.600 you didn't create

00:17:23.000 USAID.

00:17:24.520 The United States

00:17:25.440 Congress did

00:17:26.500 for the American people.

00:17:29.700 And just like Elon Musk

00:17:31.380 did not create USAID,

00:17:33.780 he doesn't have the power

00:17:35.060 to destroy it.

00:17:36.600 And who's going to

00:17:37.400 stop him,

00:17:38.320 we are.

00:17:39.700 We're going to

00:17:40.480 stop him.

00:17:41.420 And just like the president

00:17:42.800 who is elected

00:17:44.360 to something

00:17:45.060 cannot impound

00:17:46.760 the money

00:17:47.300 of the people,

00:17:48.680 we don't have

00:17:49.460 a fourth branch

00:17:50.420 of government

00:17:51.120 called Elon Musk.

00:17:53.140 And that's going

00:17:53.860 to become

00:17:54.360 real clear.

00:17:55.440 So he begins by saying

00:17:59.160 that Elon didn't

00:18:00.020 create USAID

00:18:01.180 as if that's a damning

00:18:02.380 point in some way.

00:18:03.580 We're supposed to be

00:18:04.040 outraged that Elon Musk

00:18:05.060 did not create a massive

00:18:06.600 and unaccountable

00:18:07.240 government bureaucracy

00:18:08.020 that lights money

00:18:08.860 on fire.

00:18:10.340 Congress did that.

00:18:11.620 So thank you for

00:18:12.400 establishing that,

00:18:13.040 Jamie Raskin.

00:18:13.580 That's,

00:18:14.040 yeah,

00:18:14.220 you're exactly right.

00:18:15.960 Congress.

00:18:16.800 Only an idea 1.00

00:18:17.580 that stupid 1.00

00:18:18.420 could come from Congress. 1.00

00:18:20.520 And then

00:18:21.060 things descend

00:18:22.540 into self-parody

00:18:23.200 when he talks

00:18:23.800 about Elon Musk

00:18:24.580 and Donald Trump

00:18:25.440 impounding taxpayer money

00:18:26.880 as if they're stealing it.

00:18:28.740 No,

00:18:29.300 what they are doing

00:18:29.980 is precisely

00:18:30.900 not stealing it.

00:18:31.940 They are refusing

00:18:32.760 to steal it.

00:18:34.460 No,

00:18:34.720 they're saving

00:18:35.340 taxpayer money

00:18:36.080 from being wasted

00:18:36.760 on foreign countries.

00:18:37.600 They're not stealing it.

00:18:38.320 They're preserving it.

00:18:40.520 They're keeping it

00:18:41.460 within the United States.

00:18:44.260 Okay,

00:18:44.440 that's like

00:18:44.980 if there was a bonfire

00:18:46.240 and you handed them

00:18:48.180 a bag of cash

00:18:50.300 and said 0.92

00:18:50.720 throw it in the fire

00:18:51.560 and they refused

00:18:52.920 to throw it in the fire

00:18:53.900 and then you accused them

00:18:55.000 of stealing it

00:18:55.700 for not burning it.

00:18:56.860 I mean,

00:18:57.060 that's what they're doing.

00:18:58.960 And this is what voters,

00:19:00.440 again,

00:19:00.680 overwhelmingly want.

00:19:01.420 They want their money

00:19:01.960 to be saved,

00:19:02.520 obviously.

00:19:03.620 And any Democrat

00:19:04.280 who claims

00:19:04.700 this is somehow

00:19:05.160 unconstitutional

00:19:05.920 needs to explain

00:19:06.680 why they allowed USAID

00:19:08.080 to unconstitutionally

00:19:09.620 steal our money

00:19:10.440 for the better part

00:19:11.060 of a century.

00:19:12.940 The Democrats know

00:19:13.540 they have no explanation

00:19:14.340 for this,

00:19:14.740 which is why

00:19:15.120 they're in a full-on panic

00:19:16.280 as they attempt

00:19:16.880 to convince Americans

00:19:17.920 that USAID,

00:19:18.880 an entity that

00:19:19.460 most Americans

00:19:20.380 didn't even know

00:19:20.920 existed until 24 hours ago

00:19:22.220 is somehow vital

00:19:22.960 to their daily lives.

00:19:24.240 Here is the Democrats

00:19:25.020 leader in the Senate,

00:19:25.920 Chuck Schumer,

00:19:27.160 and I want you

00:19:28.560 to listen to

00:19:29.180 his concerns

00:19:31.060 about what might

00:19:32.920 be coming next.

00:19:34.300 Also know

00:19:34.880 this is just

00:19:35.400 the beginning.

00:19:36.500 If Doge

00:19:37.180 attacks USAID

00:19:38.400 today,

00:19:39.300 then you can be sure

00:19:40.340 they'll move on

00:19:41.020 to another target

00:19:41.880 tomorrow.

00:19:43.080 Who knows?

00:19:44.260 Maybe it'll be

00:19:44.820 the Postal Service

00:19:45.860 or the IRS

00:19:46.660 or even the

00:19:47.520 Social Security

00:19:48.320 Administration.

00:19:49.340 They could be next

00:19:50.260 or maybe our

00:19:51.400 national security

00:19:52.280 agencies.

00:19:55.900 Yeah,

00:19:56.340 the horror.

00:19:56.960 I mean,

00:19:57.160 just imagine

00:19:58.020 he's going to

00:19:59.540 get rid of

00:19:59.900 the IRS.

00:20:02.300 Guys,

00:20:02.720 we've got to

00:20:02.960 put a stop to this

00:20:03.560 before he gets

00:20:03.960 rid of the IRS.

00:20:05.260 First he does this,

00:20:06.440 next he gets rid

00:20:07.000 of the IRS,

00:20:07.760 next thing you know

00:20:08.320 he's giving free beer

00:20:09.420 and puppy dogs

00:20:10.420 to everybody.

00:20:12.020 So it's going to

00:20:12.480 be a horror show.

00:20:13.320 So as far as

00:20:15.180 I can tell,

00:20:15.900 Chuck Schumer

00:20:16.640 meant for this

00:20:17.340 soundbite to seem

00:20:18.320 menacing.

00:20:19.040 He meant for

00:20:19.400 Americans to

00:20:20.040 tremble in fear

00:20:20.860 at the possibility

00:20:21.620 that the IRS

00:20:23.020 might cease to

00:20:24.100 exist.

00:20:25.760 One day,

00:20:26.500 Schumer has warned,

00:20:27.220 you may be able

00:20:27.660 to go about your

00:20:28.280 life without worrying

00:20:29.160 about whether the

00:20:29.780 IRS will suspend

00:20:30.760 all of your

00:20:31.160 constitutional rights

00:20:31.960 under the guise

00:20:32.440 of an audit

00:20:32.920 and attempt to

00:20:33.540 squeeze just a

00:20:34.200 little more money

00:20:34.760 out of you so

00:20:35.800 that the federal

00:20:36.360 government can 0.99

00:20:37.000 waste it on gay 1.00

00:20:38.260 plays in Peru 1.00

00:20:39.100 or whatever.

00:20:39.740 Can you even

00:20:40.300 comprehend the

00:20:41.040 horror?

00:20:41.320 Now,

00:20:43.000 there will be

00:20:43.480 legal challenges

00:20:44.220 to the closure

00:20:44.800 of USAID.

00:20:45.740 Democrats will 0.92

00:20:46.220 continue to lie

00:20:46.940 about this

00:20:47.240 organization and

00:20:47.820 what it does.

00:20:48.740 They'll do

00:20:49.120 everything they

00:20:49.560 can to make

00:20:50.480 you afraid of

00:20:51.180 something that

00:20:51.780 should have

00:20:52.480 happened a long

00:20:52.960 time ago.

00:20:54.020 And that's

00:20:54.260 because they're

00:20:54.960 the ones who

00:20:55.400 are terrified.

00:20:56.660 They're not even

00:20:57.280 doing a very good

00:20:57.800 job of hiding it.

00:20:58.800 They understand

00:20:59.280 that finally,

00:21:00.180 they're going to

00:21:01.220 have to account

00:21:01.820 for the taxpayer

00:21:02.500 money, your money,

00:21:03.760 that they've been

00:21:04.600 spending.

00:21:05.680 And the more

00:21:06.300 Democrats melt

00:21:07.040 down, the more

00:21:08.340 it becomes apparent

00:21:09.060 that they have no

00:21:10.360 way of doing that.

00:21:11.980 Doge has gone

00:21:12.700 from a meme

00:21:13.540 to an existential

00:21:14.840 threat to

00:21:15.660 entrenched

00:21:16.060 government corruption.

00:21:17.660 And now, much

00:21:18.920 more rapidly

00:21:19.500 than we thought

00:21:20.480 possible, that

00:21:21.940 corruption is

00:21:22.500 finally being

00:21:23.360 exposed and

00:21:24.400 humiliated and

00:21:25.940 thoroughly destroyed.

00:21:27.580 Now let's get to

00:21:28.420 our five headlines.

00:21:35.000 Securing your

00:22:50.080 New York Post reports,

00:22:51.220 New York Attorney General

00:22:52.140 Letitia James warned local

00:22:53.760 hospitals Monday that they'll

00:22:54.800 be in violation of state

00:22:55.820 discrimination laws if they

00:22:56.880 comply with President

00:22:57.580 Trump's executive order

00:22:58.420 aimed at outlawing sex

00:22:59.720 change procedures for

00:23:00.720 minors.

00:23:02.100 Regardless of the

00:23:02.800 availability of federal

00:23:03.540 funding, we write to

00:23:04.460 further remind you of your

00:23:05.540 obligations to comply with

00:23:06.600 New York state laws,

00:23:07.380 including those that

00:23:08.680 prohibit discrimination

00:23:09.280 against individuals based 0.72

00:23:10.500 on their membership in a

00:23:11.200 protected class, such as

00:23:11.960 sex, gender identity,

00:23:12.860 expression, sexual

00:23:14.100 orientation, race, creed,

00:23:15.060 color, national origin,

00:23:15.940 citizenship, or immigration

00:23:16.740 status, blah, blah, blah.

00:23:19.320 Electing to refuse services

00:23:20.540 to a class of individuals

00:23:21.580 based on their protected

00:23:22.460 status, such as withholding

00:23:24.240 the availability of services

00:23:24.980 from transgender individuals

00:23:25.960 based on their gender

00:23:26.600 identity, their diagnosis of

00:23:27.640 gender dysphoria, is

00:23:29.440 discrimination under New York

00:23:31.380 law.

00:23:31.720 And her letter comes as

00:23:34.100 several hospitals across

00:23:34.860 the country have already

00:23:35.920 taken steps to cut back on

00:23:37.120 so-called gender-affirming

00:23:38.040 care, quote-unquote, in

00:23:39.420 apparent effort to comply

00:23:40.340 with Trump's January 28th

00:23:41.440 executive order protecting

00:23:42.360 children from chemical and

00:23:43.320 surgical mutilation.

00:23:44.620 The White House also pointed

00:23:45.460 to the New York City's NYU

00:23:47.080 Langone Health, which has

00:23:50.120 reportedly started canceling

00:23:51.940 appointments for minors

00:23:52.940 seeking transgender

00:23:53.580 procedures.

00:23:55.040 Hundreds of protesters

00:23:55.880 gathered outside the hospital

00:23:58.260 last night, and we have some

00:24:00.280 clips from this protest, just

00:24:02.660 a couple of clips.

00:24:03.520 Here's one from a trans 0.69

00:24:05.660 identified man, it's

00:24:08.160 addressing the crowd.

00:24:09.460 Listen.

00:24:10.720 Shut this entire city

00:24:13.280 down! 0.99

00:24:17.320 Not on our watch.

00:24:20.940 Because what they will try to

00:24:22.080 do, they will try to separate 0.99

00:24:24.020 us, they will kick the trans 1.00

00:24:25.720 people off the bus, they're 1.00

00:24:27.460 kicking the indigenous people 1.00

00:24:29.020 off the bus, they're kicking 1.00

00:24:31.020 our intersex community off 1.00

00:24:32.440 the bus, our two-spirit plus 0.98

00:24:34.640 family, they're kicking them

00:24:35.500 off the bus, they just want a

00:24:37.440 membership LGBT bus.

00:24:38.940 Well, guess what, babe?

00:24:40.020 That LGBT bus, it's not going 1.00

00:24:41.500 to have any gas, it won't have

00:24:43.140 any tires, y'all not going any

00:24:44.940 far.

00:24:47.220 Because we are a community

00:24:49.140 that is made and has been

00:24:53.080 woven with the fire and the spirit

00:24:56.120 of revolution, revolution,

00:24:57.700 revolution, revolution.

00:25:05.000 So the people that are not here

00:25:06.620 with us, we will take note.

00:25:08.960 It's not that cold. 0.89

00:25:12.960 Says they're kicking the trans 0.97

00:25:14.220 people off the bus, they're kicking 0.99

00:25:15.540 the non-binary off the bus. 0.95

00:25:17.320 They're kicking the two-spirit plus 1.00

00:25:21.980 off the bus.

00:25:25.380 Sounds like a nice bus ride to

00:25:27.660 me.

00:25:28.000 I mean, it was, it sounds like a

00:25:30.340 pleasant bus ride through the

00:25:32.000 countryside at this point.

00:25:34.740 But, and screaming that they're

00:25:39.040 going to shut the city down.

00:25:39.820 They did not shut the city down.

00:25:40.960 I can tell you that the city

00:25:42.960 continued on functioning as

00:25:44.640 normal.

00:25:44.940 And just to make sure we're very

00:25:46.600 clear about this, all of these

00:25:48.860 adults are outside in the cold

00:25:51.460 at night protesting to demand

00:25:53.820 that children are sterilized and 1.00

00:25:55.360 castrated.

00:25:55.920 I mean, just so we're clear about

00:25:56.900 what they're protesting.

00:25:58.620 Trump did not sign an order

00:26:00.560 banning men from dressing up like

00:26:02.380 women or whatever. 1.00

00:26:04.040 This is specifically to stop young 0.99

00:26:05.940 children from being given life

00:26:07.280 altering drugs that can damage

00:26:08.660 their bodies forever.

00:26:09.520 That's what this is about.

00:26:10.980 That's what they're protesting.

00:26:12.900 They're protesting not against that,

00:26:14.940 but for it, of course.

00:26:16.240 And I think this little speech

00:26:17.400 from, I think this is a Sex and 0.52

00:26:20.300 the City actress.

00:26:22.060 I'm pretty sure.

00:26:23.240 And she has a, a quote unquote

00:26:25.420 trans kid.

00:26:27.240 There's a couple of things she

00:26:28.300 says in this short little clip

00:26:30.340 that are notable.

00:26:32.520 Listen.

00:26:34.040 Most importantly, I am here today

00:26:36.300 as the mother of a proud trans

00:26:38.940 trans man.

00:26:39.940 I am here today as the aunt of a

00:26:48.200 proud trans man.

00:26:51.940 My best friend's kid is trans.

00:26:55.620 And my kid's best friend is trans.

00:26:59.140 My wife and I, our lives are filled

00:27:04.840 with the most amazing, beautiful,

00:27:08.920 brave trans people, young and old,

00:27:11.560 but especially young.

00:27:17.940 My trans kid had his top surgery

00:27:21.900 at NYU a number of years ago.

00:27:25.300 Okay, so her kid is

00:27:26.980 quote unquote trans.

00:27:28.760 Her niece is trans.

00:27:30.460 Her best friend's kid is trans.

00:27:32.580 Her kid's best friend is trans.

00:27:35.100 All the kids in her life are trans,

00:27:36.820 apparently.

00:27:37.880 So she is confirming beyond any doubt,

00:27:40.160 if you had any doubt,

00:27:41.280 that it's a social contagion.

00:27:43.660 She has just basically

00:27:44.760 mathematically proved it.

00:27:46.720 She didn't mean to do that,

00:27:48.100 but she has offered mathematical proof

00:27:50.560 that this is a social contagion.

00:27:52.300 Because if we look at trans 1.00

00:27:54.360 as a naturally occurring phenomenon,

00:27:56.100 which it isn't,

00:27:57.500 but if we looked at it that way,

00:27:59.200 which is how they would look at it,

00:28:01.580 well, then naturally,

00:28:02.560 the chances of it occurring

00:28:03.640 are like one in a few thousand.

00:28:07.500 Okay, it depends on how you get,

00:28:08.460 but it's one in a thousand,

00:28:10.700 one in, or even more rare than that.

00:28:13.620 Let's just say one in a thousand

00:28:14.760 just to be as generous as possible.

00:28:22.300 So the chances then

00:28:23.660 of having a trans kid,

00:28:26.440 a trans niece,

00:28:27.860 and being surrounded

00:28:29.700 by a bunch of other trans kids,

00:28:31.740 those chances statistically

00:28:33.900 are like one in several billion.

00:28:38.680 And that's if we look at it

00:28:40.120 as a natural phenomenon.

00:28:42.820 You have a scenario here

00:28:44.300 that as a natural phenomenon

00:28:45.360 is essentially mathematically impossible.

00:28:48.260 But if we look at it as it is,

00:28:53.080 as a social contagion,

00:28:54.300 well, then actually,

00:28:54.860 it makes a ton of sense.

00:28:58.120 The chance of having other trans kids around

00:29:01.360 once you have one trans kid 0.99

00:29:03.240 are quite high.

00:29:05.960 Now, if it's a naturally occurring phenomenon,

00:29:07.940 the existence of one trans kid

00:29:09.800 in a group

00:29:10.880 should not increase the possibility

00:29:13.340 of other kids in that group being trans.

00:29:15.600 But if it's a social contagion,

00:29:18.980 then the chances are,

00:29:21.300 once you have one trans kid in a group,

00:29:23.420 the chance that another kid

00:29:24.540 identifies as trans

00:29:26.000 is not one in a thousand,

00:29:27.700 but the odds are much better than that,

00:29:32.020 or much worse,

00:29:32.740 depending on how you look at it.

00:29:34.520 Because it spreads.

00:29:36.520 It's an idea.

00:29:37.360 It's a contagion.

00:29:38.140 It spreads.

00:29:38.960 It's an idea that catches on.

00:29:41.020 Other kids are influenced.

00:29:42.040 And that's what this woman 0.91

00:29:42.960 whose name I can't remember,

00:29:45.580 Cynthia Nixon, right?

00:29:46.700 Isn't that who she is? 0.98

00:29:47.920 Cynthia Nixon,

00:29:48.440 that's what she is admitting

00:29:50.220 unintentionally.

00:29:52.740 And I want to point one other thing out

00:29:54.160 because she says that her daughter

00:29:55.500 had quote-unquote top surgery

00:29:57.020 a number of years ago.

00:29:57.780 It's not clear if

00:29:58.520 she had her daughter's breasts removed 1.00

00:30:01.380 when the daughter was still a child,

00:30:03.480 but it seems highly likely that she did.

00:30:05.300 She seems to be implying that.

00:30:06.940 But either way, 0.98

00:30:07.800 her daughter's breasts were chopped off 1.00

00:30:09.360 with her, 1.00

00:30:10.540 the mother's,

00:30:11.240 blessings and presumably encouragement.

00:30:15.400 And so this is what you have to keep in mind,

00:30:16.740 that people like this woman,

00:30:17.840 Cynthia Nixon,

00:30:19.200 people like Cynthia,

00:30:21.700 you know,

00:30:22.000 they can't let this go.

00:30:24.600 They can't give up on this fight.

00:30:28.060 They have to defend trans ideology 0.96

00:30:30.760 to the hilt forever.

00:30:33.220 Because the other option is to admit

00:30:35.000 that they've done something horrific

00:30:36.520 to their children,

00:30:37.400 which they can't do.

00:30:39.360 That,

00:30:39.900 that's the situation that they're in.

00:30:43.960 So,

00:30:44.800 you know,

00:30:45.940 when you hear these people say,

00:30:48.020 they get quite hysterical

00:30:49.360 and talk about how they're fighting

00:30:50.320 for their lives

00:30:51.180 and their lives are on the line.

00:30:53.360 And it's easy for us to listen to that

00:30:55.040 and say,

00:30:55.560 and say,

00:30:56.140 well,

00:30:56.280 this is,

00:30:57.300 you know,

00:30:59.220 they're,

00:31:00.100 this is hysterical,

00:31:01.340 this is a,

00:31:02.740 to call it a gross exaggeration

00:31:04.560 would be a massive understatement.

00:31:07.320 And that's true.

00:31:09.260 Like,

00:31:09.760 in the way that they mean it

00:31:11.740 on the surface,

00:31:12.800 it's hysterical

00:31:13.900 to say that their lives

00:31:14.960 are on the line.

00:31:16.120 But at a deeper level,

00:31:18.440 in a sense,

00:31:19.560 it's true

00:31:20.140 because

00:31:20.620 what I think they actually mean,

00:31:22.820 and they don't know

00:31:23.840 that they mean this,

00:31:24.880 I think it's subconscious,

00:31:25.780 but what they actually mean

00:31:28.280 is that

00:31:29.060 they won't be able

00:31:30.960 to live with themselves

00:31:32.200 if they're wrong.

00:31:35.080 So if,

00:31:35.900 say,

00:31:36.240 Cynthia Nixon says,

00:31:37.700 fighting for our lives,

00:31:38.820 life is on the line,

00:31:40.140 life and death struggle,

00:31:41.280 uses any language like that,

00:31:43.740 what she's actually saying is

00:31:45.860 that I,

00:31:47.000 as a mother,

00:31:47.960 could not live with myself

00:31:49.940 if I had to admit

00:31:51.960 that I mutilated

00:31:53.860 and destroyed

00:31:54.700 my daughter's body.

00:31:57.600 I couldn't live with that

00:31:59.240 as a mother.

00:32:00.560 I can't look at myself

00:32:01.860 in the mirror

00:32:02.380 and live every day

00:32:03.940 for the rest of my life

00:32:04.920 knowing that I have

00:32:06.880 physically abused

00:32:07.960 my child

00:32:08.640 in the

00:32:09.780 most grotesque manner

00:32:11.560 possible.

00:32:13.320 that's what

00:32:15.860 they're really saying

00:32:16.600 because most people,

00:32:19.620 you know,

00:32:19.820 to admit that you're wrong

00:32:20.720 about anything

00:32:21.220 is difficult

00:32:22.560 and most people

00:32:23.740 just in general,

00:32:25.240 it's rare

00:32:25.920 to find a person

00:32:27.260 who's willing to admit

00:32:28.880 that they're wrong

00:32:29.580 about anything

00:32:30.400 ever,

00:32:31.660 but to admit

00:32:33.560 that you're wrong

00:32:34.460 when,

00:32:38.780 in a situation

00:32:39.380 like this,

00:32:40.660 when being wrong

00:32:42.580 means that you have

00:32:43.260 made a mistake

00:32:43.960 that has

00:32:44.680 permanently altered

00:32:46.780 your life

00:32:47.400 or the life

00:32:47.900 of someone you love

00:32:48.840 irrevocably,

00:32:53.220 well,

00:32:53.460 that,

00:32:53.860 to admit that

00:32:54.900 takes

00:32:55.460 immense

00:32:56.780 honesty

00:32:58.000 and moral courage,

00:32:59.480 which we know,

00:33:01.680 you know,

00:33:01.860 there are plenty

00:33:02.540 of D-trans 1.00

00:33:04.260 people out there,

00:33:05.920 Chloe Cole

00:33:06.460 and others

00:33:07.200 who

00:33:07.680 have

00:33:12.400 will talk

00:33:13.480 about this

00:33:14.060 and of course

00:33:15.040 in their case,

00:33:15.560 someone like Chloe Cole,

00:33:17.300 she didn't,

00:33:17.940 it's not that

00:33:18.460 she made a mistake,

00:33:19.400 it's that her,

00:33:19.920 because she was a child,

00:33:20.780 it's her parents

00:33:22.080 and the doctors

00:33:22.800 that did the horrible thing,

00:33:25.660 but either way,

00:33:27.480 there are exceptions

00:33:29.200 to this,

00:33:29.600 but generally speaking,

00:33:31.380 most people

00:33:33.000 just lack

00:33:33.920 the honesty

00:33:35.080 to look

00:33:36.680 at something like this

00:33:37.780 and say,

00:33:38.340 you know what,

00:33:38.680 I got this wrong

00:33:39.340 and I got it

00:33:40.440 horrifically wrong

00:33:41.240 and

00:33:42.520 I can never

00:33:44.480 make it right.

00:33:47.060 And so I think

00:33:47.760 that's what's

00:33:48.000 happening here.

00:33:48.880 All right,

00:33:49.120 the mayor of Minneapolis,

00:33:50.220 Jacob Fry,

00:33:51.220 has announced

00:33:52.180 that he will not

00:33:53.140 cooperate

00:33:53.560 with Trump's

00:33:54.620 deportation plans.

00:33:56.440 Watch.

00:33:57.980 I want to speak

00:33:58.900 directly to people

00:33:59.780 who are undocumented.

00:34:02.500 We love you.

00:34:04.160 We care about you.

00:34:05.980 In the city

00:34:06.740 of Minneapolis,

00:34:07.340 we will stand up

00:34:08.440 for you

00:34:08.980 and we will do

00:34:10.260 anything in our power

00:34:12.080 to help.

00:34:14.100 Because you're not

00:34:15.000 an alien in our city,

00:34:16.320 you're a neighbor.

00:34:20.560 Now,

00:34:21.320 in Minneapolis,

00:34:23.040 we have what is called

00:34:24.460 a separation ordinance.

00:34:26.960 And that separation

00:34:28.220 ordinance states

00:34:29.280 clearly that our

00:34:30.300 city officials,

00:34:31.520 our police officers

00:34:32.720 and beyond

00:34:33.580 will not be

00:34:34.940 gathering information

00:34:36.260 showing who is

00:34:38.200 and who is not

00:34:39.080 documented.

00:34:40.380 We do not ask

00:34:41.540 the question

00:34:42.160 with regard

00:34:43.000 to immigration status.

00:34:44.460 And because we

00:34:45.020 haven't asked

00:34:45.680 the question,

00:34:46.440 we don't have

00:34:47.240 any data

00:34:47.960 to show documentation

00:34:50.080 status in our city.

00:34:52.380 Our police officers

00:34:53.820 will not be

00:34:54.660 cooperating with

00:34:55.560 federal law enforcement

00:34:56.720 around federal

00:34:58.560 immigration law.

00:34:59.640 We enforce state

00:35:00.700 and local laws

00:35:01.600 here in Minneapolis,

00:35:02.520 and we will do so

00:35:04.060 to the best

00:35:04.620 of our ability.

00:35:06.000 But as for

00:35:06.860 cooperation with ICE,

00:35:08.940 the answer is no.

00:35:10.060 Well, first of all,

00:35:10.900 he doesn't enforce

00:35:11.600 state or local law

00:35:12.800 either.

00:35:13.340 I mean,

00:35:13.560 this little weasel,

00:35:14.660 you may recall,

00:35:15.380 allowed Minneapolis

00:35:16.120 to burn during

00:35:17.060 the Floyd riots.

00:35:17.820 In fact,

00:35:18.160 he went and wept

00:35:18.980 before George Floyd's

00:35:21.000 golden casket

00:35:21.760 while his city

00:35:22.300 was burning.

00:35:22.900 So he doesn't really

00:35:23.620 enforce any laws at all.

00:35:24.840 Nothing new here.

00:35:25.560 Second,

00:35:26.960 mayors who announced

00:35:27.900 that they're going

00:35:28.480 to interfere with

00:35:29.660 and not comply

00:35:30.320 with federal law,

00:35:31.980 mayors who declare

00:35:33.260 their intention

00:35:33.840 to take illegal measures

00:35:35.100 in the name of

00:35:35.620 undermining our

00:35:36.280 national sovereignty

00:35:37.620 should be arrested.

00:35:39.960 And,

00:35:40.520 I mean,

00:35:41.300 I would arrest them

00:35:42.380 and send them to Gitmo.

00:35:43.320 We're already going to

00:35:43.940 be using Gitmo

00:35:44.580 for illegal aliens.

00:35:45.800 Send these mayors

00:35:46.540 with them.

00:35:48.300 You like illegal aliens 1.00

00:35:49.320 so much,

00:35:49.980 Mayor Frye,

00:35:50.580 well,

00:35:51.040 go stay in a cell

00:35:52.920 in Gitmo with them

00:35:53.640 if you like them so much.

00:35:56.020 And I'm not even joking.

00:35:57.280 I mean,

00:35:57.380 these mayors are, 1.00

00:35:58.320 these mayors are terrorists. 0.99

00:35:59.900 They are national security threats 0.99

00:36:01.860 and they should be

00:36:02.340 treated like it.

00:36:03.540 Our national sovereignty

00:36:04.520 is a national security issue.

00:36:06.200 He is directly interfering.

00:36:07.620 He is trying to

00:36:08.540 destabilize our country.

00:36:09.820 He's directly trying

00:36:10.400 to make our country

00:36:11.480 and his own community

00:36:12.340 less safe.

00:36:13.360 He's breaking the law.

00:36:15.620 So, 1.00

00:36:16.280 lock his ass up. 1.00

00:36:17.320 Lock him up in Gitmo. 1.00

00:36:20.060 Now,

00:36:20.740 if that doesn't happen,

00:36:21.920 which I'm guessing it won't,

00:36:24.080 at the very least,

00:36:25.060 the Trump administration

00:36:25.700 has every right

00:36:26.220 to prosecute

00:36:26.940 these criminal mayors.

00:36:28.800 And Tom Homan

00:36:29.560 has already said

00:36:30.360 that he will.

00:36:31.280 In fact,

00:36:31.580 Tom Homan

00:36:31.940 has responded

00:36:32.780 to Governor Phil Murphy

00:36:34.300 of New Jersey

00:36:35.360 who went a step further

00:36:37.240 than most of the other

00:36:39.200 government officials

00:36:39.780 who have pledged

00:36:40.480 to not cooperate

00:36:41.240 with federal law

00:36:41.960 in that Murphy

00:36:43.140 seems to indicate

00:36:44.800 that he is

00:36:45.560 personally harboring

00:36:46.840 an illegal alien

00:36:48.340 in his house.

00:36:49.320 Listen to this.

00:36:49.780 I don't want to get

00:36:51.140 into too much detail,

00:36:52.820 but there's someone

00:36:54.320 in our broader universe

00:36:56.520 whose immigration status

00:36:58.600 is not yet at the point

00:37:01.140 that they are trying

00:37:02.680 to get it to.

00:37:03.800 And we said,

00:37:04.760 you know what?

00:37:05.240 Let's have her live 1.00

00:37:06.220 at our house

00:37:07.140 above our garage.

00:37:08.880 And good luck

00:37:10.020 to the feds

00:37:10.600 coming in

00:37:11.060 to try to get her.

00:37:12.160 I got an old of it.

00:37:13.400 Won't let it go.

00:37:14.380 We'll look into it.

00:37:15.200 And if he's knowingly

00:37:16.600 knowingly harboring

00:37:17.760 and concealing

00:37:18.300 an illegal alien,

00:37:19.720 that's a violation

00:37:20.580 of Title 8

00:37:21.120 United States Code 1324.

00:37:22.900 I will seek prosecution

00:37:23.980 or the Secretary

00:37:24.740 will seek prosecution.

00:37:26.180 So maybe he's bluffing.

00:37:28.260 If he's not,

00:37:29.000 we'll deal with that.

00:37:31.060 So there you have

00:37:32.280 Phil Murphy

00:37:32.820 and then Tom Homan

00:37:33.460 responding,

00:37:34.140 saying we're going

00:37:34.580 to seek prosecution,

00:37:35.640 which of course he should.

00:37:37.500 Interesting euphemism

00:37:38.460 from Phil Murphy

00:37:39.820 who says

00:37:41.620 of the illegal alien,

00:37:43.780 her immigration status

00:37:44.600 isn't yet to the point

00:37:45.740 that she's trying

00:37:46.540 to get it to

00:37:47.260 or whatever.

00:37:48.620 In other words,

00:37:49.320 she's an illegal alien. 1.00

00:37:51.160 And then Governor Murphy

00:37:53.000 says good luck

00:37:54.020 to the feds

00:37:54.840 trying to come in,

00:37:55.920 which we can only interpret

00:37:57.040 as a violent threat

00:37:59.360 against law enforcement.

00:38:00.580 Because what else

00:38:01.220 could that mean?

00:38:02.720 What do you mean

00:38:03.080 good luck getting in?

00:38:05.500 What are you trying to say?

00:38:08.580 What else would you mean?

00:38:10.520 Why would you imply

00:38:11.300 that they would have trouble

00:38:12.480 somehow detaining

00:38:13.440 this illegal criminal?

00:38:16.120 You're saying that

00:38:16.860 federal law enforcement

00:38:17.740 officers would have trouble

00:38:18.720 enforcing federal law

00:38:19.800 in your house?

00:38:20.540 What kind of trouble,

00:38:22.220 Phil,

00:38:22.460 are you talking about?

00:38:26.200 But of course,

00:38:27.460 you know,

00:38:27.940 by the way,

00:38:28.700 if the federal government

00:38:29.660 wants to get her

00:38:30.500 out of your basement,

00:38:31.780 they're getting her out.

00:38:32.840 Okay,

00:38:33.180 I don't know what,

00:38:33.740 I don't know what it is

00:38:34.420 you think you're going to do,

00:38:35.440 but they won't have

00:38:38.440 a lot of trouble doing it.

00:38:39.640 And there's also,

00:38:41.200 there's a lot of this

00:38:42.100 going on right now,

00:38:43.700 in particular,

00:38:44.880 this idea of like

00:38:46.120 personally hiding

00:38:47.440 illegal aliens,

00:38:50.260 stashing them in your attic

00:38:52.560 or in the basement.

00:38:54.320 There's a lot of leftists

00:38:55.500 that are pledging

00:38:56.100 to defy federal law

00:38:57.140 in this way. 1.00

00:38:58.000 It's not only stupid 1.00

00:38:59.180 and criminal, 1.00

00:38:59.880 but also very creepy.

00:39:02.620 I mean,

00:39:02.860 very creepy.

00:39:03.560 For example,

00:39:04.600 listen to this TikToker

00:39:05.920 and as she explains

00:39:08.160 her plan.

00:39:09.740 All right.

00:39:13.120 ICE is doing 0.98

00:39:14.960 whatever the f*** 0.98

00:39:15.680 the Orange Tyrant 0.99

00:39:16.400 is telling them to do.

00:39:18.260 They're,

00:39:18.620 you know,

00:39:19.440 being schools,

00:39:20.540 churches,

00:39:21.220 hospitals, 0.77

00:39:22.280 nothing's f***ing

00:39:22.920 off limits.

00:39:23.680 Listen,

00:39:24.660 I live right next

00:39:26.140 to an elementary school.

00:39:28.380 My house

00:39:29.120 has been used

00:39:30.540 to harbor

00:39:31.740 escaping 0.97

00:39:33.160 black slaves. 0.90

00:39:34.660 My house was part 0.95

00:39:35.300 of the underground 0.90

00:39:36.020 f***ing railroad 0.96

00:39:36.780 and I will not hesitate 1.00

00:39:38.340 to hide those kids

00:39:40.280 in my basement

00:39:41.260 to keep them safe,

00:39:42.680 to get them back 0.98

00:39:43.420 to their f***ing families 0.99

00:39:44.420 and you're telling me 0.99

00:39:45.600 that I will not hesitate

00:39:49.200 to barricade my doors 1.00

00:39:51.820 to protect those f***ing kids 1.00

00:39:53.440 and I'll hide their parents. 1.00

00:39:55.300 I don't know

00:39:56.200 if my tunnels

00:39:56.840 are still connected

00:39:57.800 because there's houses

00:39:59.080 all down the street

00:40:00.100 that have tunnels

00:40:00.980 hidden in them.

00:40:01.880 I will hide those kids

00:40:03.360 to protect those kids 1.00

00:40:04.600 and their f***ing families. 0.98

00:40:07.040 Trump. 0.99

00:40:08.520 So just kind of

00:40:09.520 a pro tip here

00:40:10.320 but just a bit of advice.

00:40:12.960 Don't ever announce publicly

00:40:14.500 that you want to

00:40:15.280 take kids

00:40:15.980 from your local

00:40:16.940 elementary school

00:40:17.680 and lock them

00:40:19.440 in your basement

00:40:20.000 and then barricade the door.

00:40:22.220 That's not,

00:40:23.900 don't announce it.

00:40:24.980 More importantly,

00:40:25.580 don't do it.

00:40:27.540 Unless your goal

00:40:28.640 is to come off

00:40:29.540 like a serial killer.

00:40:30.820 How are you going to get

00:40:31.560 these kids in your basement?

00:40:32.980 What's the plan?

00:40:35.120 You're going to drive

00:40:36.000 by the school

00:40:36.560 in a van

00:40:37.420 and offer them candy?

00:40:38.560 Get them into your basement?

00:40:39.460 Like, what's the plan here?

00:40:42.300 So this woman needs 1.00

00:40:43.140 to be on a watch list

00:40:44.100 to say the least.

00:40:47.120 And also,

00:40:48.860 not that I'm trying

00:40:49.820 to give it a pointers here,

00:40:50.960 but if you are planning

00:40:53.660 on doing this,

00:40:54.200 why are you announcing it?

00:40:55.840 Whether it's Phil Murphy

00:40:57.000 or any of these 0.98

00:40:57.820 creepy, weird liberals 0.95

00:41:00.360 that are saying 0.99

00:41:01.360 they're going to start

00:41:03.020 announcing their plans

00:41:05.900 to start an illegal

00:41:06.920 alien collection

00:41:07.840 in their homes,

00:41:10.320 hiding under the floorboards.

00:41:13.180 Even if you were

00:41:14.000 going to do that,

00:41:15.200 like she's comparing it

00:41:16.080 to the Underground Railroad.

00:41:18.400 Okay, well,

00:41:19.040 but this is not how

00:41:19.740 the Underground Railroad

00:41:20.900 worked, okay?

00:41:22.900 Like Harriet Tubman

00:41:23.700 wasn't going around

00:41:24.600 in the South

00:41:25.240 openly announcing

00:41:26.440 to everyone,

00:41:27.340 hey, I got an

00:41:28.180 Underground Railroad.

00:41:29.020 What are you going

00:41:29.400 to do about it?

00:41:30.320 I'll tell you

00:41:30.900 exactly where it is.

00:41:32.600 What are you going

00:41:33.200 to do?

00:41:33.940 I dare you.

00:41:35.040 I dare you

00:41:35.700 to try to stop me.

00:41:38.020 Well, they could,

00:41:38.780 I mean, they could stop you

00:41:39.740 like pretty easily.

00:41:41.800 So the secrecy element

00:41:43.520 is really an essential part.

00:41:47.880 That's why they called it

00:41:48.840 the Underground Railroad.

00:41:49.700 Did you know that?

00:41:50.540 It's not because

00:41:51.180 it was literally underground

00:41:52.280 for the most part.

00:41:53.720 I mean, there were some

00:41:54.300 tunnels and things,

00:41:55.460 but like,

00:41:56.280 Underground mostly meant

00:41:57.800 hidden, secret

00:42:01.540 is what that meant.

00:42:04.280 So you're missing

00:42:05.080 the secrecy part.

00:42:05.760 But I am,

00:42:06.580 I'm quite happy

00:42:07.580 that someone like this

00:42:08.660 is announcing

00:42:09.480 their plans publicly

00:42:10.740 because this is something

00:42:12.440 that local authorities

00:42:15.000 can now be aware of.

00:42:16.440 And this is a woman

00:42:18.040 who should not be allowed

00:42:19.020 anywhere near

00:42:19.920 elementary schools

00:42:21.180 pretty clearly.

00:42:22.860 Okay, I want to briefly

00:42:24.520 mention this

00:42:25.580 before we get to

00:42:26.180 the comment section.

00:42:27.360 SpaceX CEO Elon Musk

00:42:28.860 has backed

00:42:30.120 a mission to Mars

00:42:30.900 to investigate

00:42:31.440 the remarkable square structure

00:42:33.020 that was captured

00:42:33.480 on NASA's Mars

00:42:34.300 orbiter camera.

00:42:35.760 The image,

00:42:36.420 which has gone viral

00:42:37.000 after being shared

00:42:37.520 on Reddit,

00:42:38.460 appears to show a possible

00:42:39.320 archaeological site

00:42:40.380 on the red planet.

00:42:41.480 Joe Rogan posted it,

00:42:44.200 branding it as

00:42:44.940 effing wild.

00:42:46.780 Musk responded,

00:42:47.540 saying we should send

00:42:48.120 astronauts to Mars

00:42:48.900 to investigate.

00:42:51.240 And so the square structure,

00:42:53.100 which, do we have it?

00:42:53.980 Let's put it up on the screen.

00:42:55.180 So there it is.

00:42:55.580 You see the image

00:42:56.820 and then there's

00:42:57.220 the enhanced image there.

00:42:59.300 And it looks,

00:42:59.780 it looks indeed very square.

00:43:01.360 And it is a lot bigger

00:43:02.380 than, you know,

00:43:03.920 without any kind of

00:43:04.700 reference point,

00:43:05.360 without anything to compare it to.

00:43:06.320 It's hard to tell

00:43:06.760 the size of it.

00:43:07.740 But this is estimated

00:43:08.960 to be about 770 feet

00:43:13.420 on either side.

00:43:15.040 And so,

00:43:17.380 so, you know,

00:43:20.480 at the base,

00:43:22.200 approximately the size

00:43:23.260 of the Great Pyramid

00:43:24.280 in Egypt

00:43:24.700 is how big it is.

00:43:26.520 So it's pretty fascinating.

00:43:28.100 And look,

00:43:28.740 if you've ruled out

00:43:29.580 the possibility

00:43:30.320 of alien life

00:43:31.040 existing anywhere

00:43:31.760 in the universe

00:43:32.240 at any point,

00:43:33.680 then this is not

00:43:34.280 going to be interesting to you.

00:43:35.640 I think a lot of

00:43:36.340 very interesting things

00:43:37.320 are not interesting to you

00:43:38.540 if you have just ruled out

00:43:39.840 in principle

00:43:41.260 the possibility

00:43:42.440 of the interesting thing

00:43:43.760 happening.

00:43:45.040 But if you've taken

00:43:46.420 a rational position

00:43:47.440 and are open to it,

00:43:48.820 then there's nothing outlandish

00:43:50.340 about at least wondering

00:43:51.320 whether this apparent structure,

00:43:52.940 which is, you know,

00:43:53.600 exact geometric squares

00:43:56.840 don't happen very often

00:43:59.040 in nature.

00:44:01.800 So there's nothing outlandish

00:44:03.800 about wondering

00:44:04.300 whether this might be

00:44:05.840 the remnants of

00:44:06.640 some sort of civilization.

00:44:08.140 There's a lot

00:44:08.800 of compelling evidence

00:44:09.740 and very good reason

00:44:10.580 to believe that Mars

00:44:11.400 once had a lot of water

00:44:12.700 in a mild,

00:44:13.980 hospitable climate.

00:44:16.040 And keep in mind

00:44:16.840 that we've only known

00:44:17.920 Mars as a desolate wasteland,

00:44:19.900 but we've also only known

00:44:21.100 Mars for a very short

00:44:22.460 period of time.

00:44:23.440 The first picture of Mars

00:44:24.820 was taken in the 60s,

00:44:25.900 I believe.

00:44:26.840 Telescopes were invented

00:44:27.720 in the, you know,

00:44:28.760 17th century.

00:44:29.820 So we're talking about

00:44:30.920 just a blink of an eye

00:44:32.880 in cosmic terms.

00:44:36.360 We might as well

00:44:37.560 have just discovered Mars

00:44:38.700 10 seconds ago.

00:44:39.980 Like, that's how long

00:44:40.760 we've known of it

00:44:41.560 and or have been

00:44:43.340 at least been able to

00:44:45.040 astronomers even

00:44:47.880 in ancient times

00:44:48.520 were able to pinpoint

00:44:49.500 in the sky,

00:44:49.980 but at least being able

00:44:50.840 to actually see it

00:44:52.120 up close,

00:44:53.500 it's been a blink of an eye.

00:44:55.420 So if Mars had life on it,

00:44:57.980 the life could have gone extinct

00:44:59.380 millions or even billions

00:45:00.340 of years ago,

00:45:01.000 which would mean that

00:45:02.000 we wouldn't be able

00:45:03.580 to confirm evidence of it

00:45:04.680 without actually going

00:45:05.580 to the planet physically,

00:45:06.620 landing a person there,

00:45:07.620 like Elon Musk suggests,

00:45:08.640 and looking under

00:45:10.240 the surface of the planet.

00:45:11.980 And even then,

00:45:12.920 we might never be able

00:45:13.740 to find the remnants.

00:45:16.660 The oldest ruins on Earth,

00:45:18.520 the oldest evidence

00:45:19.220 of human life on this planet,

00:45:21.560 at least of advanced

00:45:23.000 human civilizations,

00:45:25.480 are, you know,

00:45:26.660 just a few thousand years old.

00:45:28.040 But, so fast forward

00:45:30.940 50 million years,

00:45:32.800 are those remnants

00:45:34.520 still going to be there?

00:45:35.680 Probably not.

00:45:37.400 So all that to say,

00:45:38.540 we don't know what existed

00:45:40.440 on Mars millions of years ago.

00:45:41.860 There could have been life.

00:45:44.040 There could have been

00:45:44.720 a civilization as advanced

00:45:45.900 as our own.

00:45:47.640 It is possible.

00:45:49.200 I think it's fascinating

00:45:50.020 to ponder the possibilities.

00:45:53.520 And anyone who said

00:45:56.240 otherwise is just wrong.

00:45:59.300 Let's get to the comment section.

00:46:00.760 If you're a man,

00:46:02.200 it's required that you grow

00:46:03.720 a beard.

00:46:04.400 Hey,

00:46:05.680 we're the sweet baby gang.

00:46:10.640 Let's talk about something

00:46:11.540 that affects all of us,

00:46:12.640 those of us who are

00:46:13.600 responsible,

00:46:14.300 hardworking Americans anyway,

00:46:15.360 taxes.

00:46:16.360 Now that it's the new year

00:46:17.300 and tax season is upon us,

00:46:18.500 are you prepared

00:46:19.140 for what's coming?

00:46:20.080 Do you owe back taxes

00:46:21.020 or your tax returns

00:46:21.920 still unfiled?

00:46:23.100 Missed the deadline

00:46:23.680 to file for an extension?

00:46:24.920 With the new year beginning

00:46:25.740 and heading into

00:46:26.460 a busy tax season,

00:46:27.500 the IRS may be

00:46:28.380 ramping up enforcement.

00:46:29.800 Let me tell you,

00:46:30.360 they're not playing around.

00:46:31.480 You can face wage garnishments,

00:46:32.760 frozen bank accounts,

00:46:33.660 or even property seizures

00:46:34.940 if you haven't taken action

00:46:36.620 just yet.

00:46:37.500 But here's the good news.

00:46:38.420 There's still hope.

00:46:39.180 Tax Network USA

00:46:46.340 save over a billion dollars

00:46:47.720 in tax debt

00:46:48.260 and have filed over

00:46:48.900 10,000 tax returns.

00:46:50.480 That's a billion with a B, folks.

00:47:00.220 will not make it go away.

00:47:21.940 about a topic until today.

00:47:23.160 He's talking about Panama 0.96

00:47:24.780 and their canal.

00:47:26.280 I'm sorry, Matt.

00:47:26.920 You can't just take the canal.

00:47:28.360 The treaty was signed.

00:47:29.180 It's not our problem 1.00

00:47:30.380 that a moron as Carter 1.00

00:47:31.400 signed it off 1.00

00:47:32.080 to the Panamanians.

00:47:34.000 Panama is a small country,

00:47:35.680 but it's a great country,

00:47:36.620 minding their own business,

00:47:37.380 not messing with anyone. 0.99

00:47:39.740 Why does your crazy president 0.98

00:47:40.960 want to come here 0.99

00:47:41.620 and claim something

00:47:42.280 that's not his

00:47:43.060 just because a couple

00:47:43.800 of decades ago

00:47:44.400 the U.S. paid

00:47:45.160 to build the canal

00:47:46.760 in Panamanian land?

00:47:50.120 It was not a couple decades.

00:47:51.320 It was like a hundred years,

00:47:52.600 more than a hundred years ago,

00:47:53.660 but anyway.

00:47:55.940 Your loss, buddy,

00:47:57.200 the Panama Canal

00:47:57.920 is Panama's canal,

00:48:00.180 whether you like it or not

00:48:01.440 and will remain like that.

00:48:02.920 Besides, and more importantly,

00:48:03.960 the administration of the canal

00:48:04.920 has been under the Panamanians.

00:48:06.460 They've paid for their maintenance

00:48:07.360 and carried all the issues

00:48:08.420 that have come with it,

00:48:09.560 and I haven't seen

00:48:10.160 the U.S. offering their help.

00:48:11.400 Please inform yourself

00:48:12.160 on this topic

00:48:12.720 because you did stutter

00:48:14.900 a lot on that

00:48:16.060 with your only argument being

00:48:17.480 USA built it. 0.98

00:48:20.220 Ignorance. 0.94

00:48:20.620 Hey, look, 0.97

00:48:22.500 I don't begrudge you.

00:48:24.340 I don't begrudge

00:48:25.600 this response from you

00:48:27.180 as someone in Panama,

00:48:28.600 as a Panamanian.

00:48:30.060 I don't begrudge you

00:48:31.040 calling Panama

00:48:31.700 a great country.

00:48:33.460 You should think

00:48:34.420 that your country is great.

00:48:37.540 I don't see it as,

00:48:38.900 I don't see that.

00:48:43.580 I think,

00:48:44.500 now,

00:48:44.900 from your,

00:48:45.540 subjectively,

00:48:46.540 as someone who lives

00:48:47.780 in the country,

00:48:48.260 you think it's

00:48:49.060 a great country.

00:48:50.900 I think,

00:48:51.580 objectively,

00:48:52.340 it's hard to make

00:48:53.160 the argument

00:48:53.600 that Panama 0.99

00:48:54.920 stands out

00:48:56.600 as one of the great

00:48:57.640 countries in the world.

00:48:59.120 I'd have to ask,

00:49:00.100 like,

00:49:00.300 in what way,

00:49:02.480 by what measure

00:49:03.780 are we calling it great?

00:49:07.360 But,

00:49:07.900 the fact that you think

00:49:09.080 that about your country

00:49:09.680 is fine.

00:49:10.940 You should think

00:49:11.700 your country is great

00:49:12.440 if you live there.

00:49:14.060 And,

00:49:14.480 yeah,

00:49:15.240 you should probably

00:49:15.900 be offended

00:49:16.500 by the way

00:49:17.040 that I was talking

00:49:17.920 about the issue.

00:49:19.900 That's fine.

00:49:20.540 I get it.

00:49:21.680 In fact,

00:49:22.040 I encourage it

00:49:22.720 because I want people

00:49:23.860 to love their own countries

00:49:24.760 and even be a chauvinist

00:49:27.100 about your own country.

00:49:28.180 I think that's all.

00:49:28.640 I think that's good.

00:49:29.940 I think it's good

00:49:30.440 to feel that way.

00:49:32.140 No hard feelings.

00:49:34.240 But,

00:49:34.720 I'm American

00:49:35.320 and I love America.

00:49:38.100 So,

00:49:38.660 the fact that

00:49:39.540 the canal

00:49:41.120 was built

00:49:41.740 not just

00:49:43.140 with American money

00:49:44.440 but with American blood

00:49:46.340 and a lot of it

00:49:48.280 that means something

00:49:49.800 to me.

00:49:50.580 Now,

00:49:50.820 it might not mean

00:49:51.300 anything to you.

00:49:52.880 I understand

00:49:53.320 it means nothing to you.

00:49:54.300 So,

00:49:54.480 you could just

00:49:54.860 wave it away

00:49:55.560 and say,

00:49:56.000 just because you built it.

00:50:00.660 Well,

00:50:01.100 yeah,

00:50:01.500 because we built it.

00:50:03.520 This country built it.

00:50:06.120 Bud,

00:50:06.780 you understand that?

00:50:07.460 There wouldn't be any canal

00:50:08.360 if it was left up

00:50:09.100 to the Panamanians.

00:50:11.180 Sorry.

00:50:11.540 You weren't building the canal.

00:50:14.680 The canal wouldn't exist

00:50:15.820 without America. 0.85

00:50:17.860 In fact,

00:50:18.360 if it was left up

00:50:18.960 to any other country

00:50:19.880 on the planet,

00:50:20.600 it wouldn't have happened.

00:50:22.100 And we know that

00:50:22.820 because other countries

00:50:23.460 tried to do it

00:50:24.140 and couldn't.

00:50:26.920 It was not the first time

00:50:28.460 or the last

00:50:29.120 in world history

00:50:29.840 when other countries

00:50:31.260 attempted to do something

00:50:32.020 and Americans

00:50:32.420 had to show up

00:50:32.900 and say,

00:50:33.240 all right,

00:50:33.680 get out of the way,

00:50:34.440 we'll do it.

00:50:35.660 This happened many times

00:50:36.840 and this is one

00:50:37.800 of the great examples of it.

00:50:39.120 It's not easy.

00:50:42.580 A lot of American lives

00:50:43.600 were spent.

00:50:47.540 A lot of Americans

00:50:48.340 died in the process.

00:50:52.540 And so,

00:50:53.180 yes,

00:50:53.400 that means,

00:50:54.220 as an American,

00:50:55.080 that means something to me.

00:50:58.280 So,

00:50:58.760 you have a canal

00:50:59.280 that Americans built,

00:51:01.160 Americans paid for, 0.96

00:51:02.900 Americans died for, 1.00

00:51:04.580 and,

00:51:05.580 as I said yesterday,

00:51:06.500 a canal

00:51:06.980 that America uses 0.69

00:51:08.160 the vast majority of the time.

00:51:09.120 70%

00:51:10.080 of the traffic

00:51:12.500 through the canal

00:51:13.060 is coming to

00:51:14.000 or going from America.

00:51:17.400 So,

00:51:17.940 yeah,

00:51:18.160 it's our canal.

00:51:19.080 I mean,

00:51:19.340 by any,

00:51:20.200 by any reasonable metric,

00:51:24.420 it's our canal.

00:51:28.900 The only way

00:51:30.700 that it's not,

00:51:31.360 it is just Jimmy,

00:51:32.720 if not for Jimmy Carter,

00:51:34.440 if not for the worst president

00:51:36.640 in American history,

00:51:37.360 who may end up

00:51:39.660 going down

00:51:40.060 as second worst

00:51:40.720 behind Joe Biden,

00:51:42.040 but that takes more time,

00:51:43.420 you know,

00:51:43.800 you need more

00:51:44.160 historical perspective.

00:51:45.140 So,

00:51:45.360 right now,

00:51:45.860 Jimmy Carter 0.94

00:51:46.220 is still the worst

00:51:46.760 president in American history 0.71

00:51:47.500 and one of the worst 0.85

00:51:49.180 Americans, 0.93

00:51:49.900 period,

00:51:50.260 to have ever lived.

00:51:53.200 Aside from him,

00:51:54.040 if not for him,

00:51:55.340 right,

00:51:55.580 it's still America's 0.93

00:51:57.280 property.

00:51:58.580 And like I said

00:52:01.020 yesterday,

00:52:01.420 you can say,

00:52:02.460 well,

00:52:02.740 you know,

00:52:03.340 sign on the dotted line

00:52:04.220 is what it is,

00:52:04.820 sorry.

00:52:08.280 Well,

00:52:08.740 there were

00:52:09.060 a lot of obligations

00:52:10.080 that Panama took on 0.98

00:52:11.360 according to that treaty.

00:52:14.400 And I know,

00:52:15.440 I'm quite sure

00:52:16.600 the Trump administration

00:52:17.580 has all their,

00:52:18.500 all the best lawyers

00:52:19.260 in America

00:52:20.480 looking at that thing

00:52:21.280 right now,

00:52:21.720 that treaty,

00:52:22.620 and finding about

00:52:23.680 50,000 different ways

00:52:25.200 that Panama 0.99

00:52:25.700 has violated it.

00:52:26.480 I'm sure they went

00:52:28.280 looking for those

00:52:28.960 and I'm sure

00:52:29.340 they found them.

00:52:31.580 So what then?

00:52:33.040 What happens when,

00:52:33.880 so,

00:52:34.080 I mean,

00:52:34.380 you're basing this all

00:52:35.120 on just who signed

00:52:35.900 the dotted line.

00:52:36.760 Well,

00:52:36.880 what happens when

00:52:37.340 Trump looks at it

00:52:37.920 and says,

00:52:38.200 well,

00:52:38.280 hey,

00:52:38.500 yeah,

00:52:38.700 but this treaty

00:52:39.720 was contingent legally

00:52:40.740 on this,

00:52:41.280 that,

00:52:41.440 and this,

00:52:42.000 and this,

00:52:42.940 that,

00:52:43.080 and this

00:52:43.240 didn't happen.

00:52:45.180 Are you then

00:52:45.760 going to say,

00:52:46.180 okay,

00:52:46.480 well,

00:52:46.680 hey,

00:52:47.380 it's the law,

00:52:48.580 you know,

00:52:48.800 it's what the treaty

00:52:49.380 will give up the canal.

00:52:53.260 No,

00:52:53.620 what you'll probably say

00:52:54.300 then is,

00:52:54.900 well,

00:52:54.980 I don't care what

00:52:55.360 the law of the treaty says.

00:52:56.460 This is on our property.

00:52:57.580 This is on our land.

00:52:58.320 You're not going to take it.

00:53:01.040 Then we're going to be

00:53:01.860 in a situation

00:53:02.600 where

00:53:03.160 apparently

00:53:05.900 what was written down

00:53:07.960 is being discarded.

00:53:10.660 And so now

00:53:11.700 what determines

00:53:12.520 who gets to have

00:53:13.520 the canal?

00:53:16.380 See,

00:53:16.600 now we're in like

00:53:17.480 a kind of

00:53:17.840 dog-eat-dog scenario.

00:53:23.500 And then it kind of

00:53:24.280 comes down to like,

00:53:25.360 to have this attitude

00:53:28.680 of,

00:53:30.180 well,

00:53:30.280 that's our canal.

00:53:31.020 You can't do anything

00:53:31.660 about it.

00:53:32.160 Well,

00:53:33.140 yeah,

00:53:33.560 but,

00:53:33.760 you know,

00:53:34.140 America can.

00:53:35.960 The United States

00:53:36.860 could just

00:53:37.460 take it.

00:53:38.800 So,

00:53:39.360 and there's literally

00:53:40.200 nothing you could

00:53:40.960 do about it

00:53:41.960 at all.

00:53:45.840 But,

00:53:46.480 you know,

00:53:46.700 I mean,

00:53:47.080 I certainly would hope

00:53:47.960 that it wouldn't come to that.

00:53:51.700 That's my hope anyway.

00:53:52.640 Never would have taken Matt

00:53:55.920 for a guy

00:53:56.420 who enjoys guacamole.

00:53:57.660 Can't explain why.

00:53:58.960 Just get that vibe.

00:54:02.240 Well,

00:54:02.600 not only do I enjoy

00:54:03.320 guacamole,

00:54:03.980 but I make excellent guacamole,

00:54:05.040 so I'm offended by that.

00:54:06.180 I don't know what you're,

00:54:07.400 I don't know what,

00:54:07.860 where you're coming from

00:54:09.140 with that,

00:54:09.580 but I am,

00:54:10.560 I am a,

00:54:12.940 I'm one of the great

00:54:15.840 guacamole makers

00:54:16.820 in America,

00:54:17.560 so that's,

00:54:18.220 there's some news for you.

00:54:20.020 I suggest a new segment

00:54:21.120 on your show,

00:54:21.740 Everything You Need to Know

00:54:22.520 About Onesies

00:54:23.220 with Matt Walsh.

00:54:24.900 That might get a little

00:54:25.700 repetitive,

00:54:26.340 but a different segment

00:54:27.220 where I whine about

00:54:29.060 some really small thing

00:54:30.840 related to parenting,

00:54:32.500 that could be an idea.

00:54:33.600 I mean,

00:54:33.740 I already do that all the time,

00:54:34.700 but,

00:54:35.200 you know,

00:54:35.780 that could be its own segment,

00:54:36.720 because there are so many things.

00:54:39.920 I mean,

00:54:40.440 I could do 45 minutes

00:54:41.740 right now

00:54:43.120 on the fact that like

00:54:44.180 90% of the toys

00:54:45.520 on the market

00:54:46.080 for toddlers

00:54:46.800 make noise,

00:54:48.540 right?

00:54:48.740 Every parent on earth

00:54:49.960 has complained about this.

00:54:51.760 We could all complain

00:54:52.480 about it for hours

00:54:53.180 and we have,

00:54:54.580 but it really is insane

00:54:56.160 when you think about it

00:54:57.060 because every parent alive

00:55:00.340 hates this.

00:55:01.360 They hate the toys

00:55:02.480 that make noise.

00:55:03.260 No parent likes this,

00:55:04.180 right?

00:55:06.160 No parent has ever,

00:55:07.680 it's like Christmas

00:55:08.360 and someone buys

00:55:09.080 your three-year-old

00:55:10.140 a toy

00:55:10.560 and it makes some

00:55:11.780 loud blaring noise

00:55:12.920 that sounds like

00:55:13.320 an air horn.

00:55:14.300 No parent has ever said,

00:55:15.300 oh, great,

00:55:16.160 wonderful.

00:55:16.920 I was,

00:55:17.380 I needed more noisy

00:55:18.640 in this house.

00:55:19.600 I'm so glad.

00:55:20.320 Thank you.

00:55:21.480 Like you never turned

00:55:22.560 to, you know,

00:55:23.500 the aunt who gave

00:55:24.420 that gift.

00:55:25.100 Thank you so much

00:55:26.100 for that.

00:55:26.740 I'm saying,

00:55:27.540 well,

00:55:27.760 that's what I was hoping.

00:55:29.080 I was hoping

00:55:29.520 there'd be some more 0.99

00:55:30.200 loud crap 0.97

00:55:31.060 in the, 1.00

00:55:32.740 that's what we needed

00:55:33.740 was just more noise.

00:55:36.200 No parent has ever

00:55:37.100 said that

00:55:37.460 except dripping

00:55:39.180 with sarcasm

00:55:40.320 and contempt.

00:55:41.060 So we all hate them

00:55:42.000 and yet every toy

00:55:44.240 for a child

00:55:45.080 makes noise.

00:55:46.460 But here's the point.

00:55:48.560 Every parent hates it.

00:55:50.360 Every parent.

00:55:51.780 Kids

00:55:52.220 don't need the toys

00:55:54.080 to make noise.

00:55:56.040 They'll have just

00:55:56.800 as much fun

00:55:57.400 with the toys

00:55:57.940 if it doesn't make noise

00:55:58.820 because they can make

00:55:59.440 the noise

00:55:59.780 in their imagination

00:56:00.560 and out loud.

00:56:01.700 Kids,

00:56:02.140 so they can handle that.

00:56:04.040 So if you just give a kid

00:56:05.380 like a plastic toy truck

00:56:06.900 and it doesn't make noise,

00:56:09.160 the child is not going

00:56:11.460 to be upset

00:56:11.980 saying it won't make noise.

00:56:12.980 The child's not going

00:56:13.460 to say that.

00:56:14.600 The child only becomes upset

00:56:16.300 when a toy

00:56:16.840 doesn't make noise

00:56:17.640 if it is supposed

00:56:19.320 to make noise

00:56:19.940 or if it used to make noise

00:56:20.960 and it doesn't anymore.

00:56:23.440 But if you just give them

00:56:24.520 the toy,

00:56:25.120 so what I'm saying is

00:56:25.840 if we just

00:56:26.400 had a federal law

00:56:28.120 banning all toys

00:56:30.120 for children

00:56:30.700 under the age of 10

00:56:31.640 that make noise.

00:56:32.340 Let's just say

00:56:32.700 we had that federal law.

00:56:33.740 I think we should

00:56:34.040 at least think about it.

00:56:35.000 And if we had that,

00:56:36.980 it would not,

00:56:37.880 the children

00:56:38.520 would be fine with it

00:56:39.440 if they were never

00:56:40.580 given another toy

00:56:41.240 that makes it

00:56:41.560 because they don't need it.

00:56:46.020 So what's the point?

00:56:47.240 Why does every toy maker

00:56:48.120 do this?

00:56:49.760 That's what I need

00:56:50.480 to understand.

00:56:52.360 Kids don't need it.

00:56:53.440 Every parent hates it.

00:56:55.460 And yet 95%

00:56:56.480 of the toys

00:56:56.780 on the market

00:56:57.240 for kids

00:56:58.780 under the age of 10

00:56:59.420 make noise.

00:57:00.580 I don't get it.

00:57:01.380 But anyway,

00:57:02.240 that's a whole thing.

00:57:03.300 That's a whole thing.

00:57:03.820 We could talk about it.

00:57:04.400 We could continue

00:57:04.880 talking about that.

00:57:06.300 And maybe we will.

00:57:07.960 You know,

00:57:08.140 it's February,

00:57:08.700 which means

00:57:09.040 the usual crowd

00:57:09.760 is claiming

00:57:10.240 we don't do anything

00:57:11.240 for Black History Month,

00:57:12.340 which is,

00:57:13.100 let's be honest,

00:57:14.020 complete nonsense.

00:57:15.080 We literally have

00:57:15.780 the number one documentary

00:57:16.760 of the decade

00:57:17.200 covering race in America.

00:57:18.380 It's called Am I Racist?

00:57:20.000 It was the surprise

00:57:20.780 box office hit of the year.

00:57:22.000 And here's the shocker.

00:57:23.180 It's not the narrative

00:57:24.200 the left wanted.

00:57:25.020 And now,

00:57:25.400 exclusively on Delaware Plus,

00:57:26.600 we're pulling back

00:57:27.320 the curtain

00:57:27.760 with the making of

00:57:29.620 Am I Racist?

00:57:30.400 where Matt Walsh,

00:57:31.600 which is,

00:57:32.220 that's me,

00:57:32.720 that's who I am,

00:57:33.360 director of Justin Folk,

00:57:34.300 and the team show

00:57:35.360 how it all came together.

00:57:36.660 Watch it right now

00:57:37.440 at dailywire.com.

00:57:39.700 Now let's get to

00:57:40.220 our daily cancellation.

00:57:40.860 We talked last week

00:57:48.200 about RFK Jr.'s

00:57:49.240 confirmation hearing,

00:57:50.180 which gave me

00:57:50.800 another chance

00:57:51.340 to stand on

00:57:52.100 what is to my audience

00:57:53.140 a very familiar soapbox.

00:57:54.660 I made the case,

00:57:55.300 as I have so many times

00:57:55.980 in the past,

00:57:56.440 that the greatest

00:57:57.320 Big Pharma scandal

00:57:58.240 is not the COVID vaccine,

00:58:00.460 though that is a huge scandal,

00:58:01.640 or how Big Pharma

00:58:02.840 has contributed

00:58:03.340 to the opioid epidemic

00:58:04.720 by getting thousands

00:58:05.700 of Americans

00:58:06.080 hooked on painkillers,

00:58:07.120 though again,

00:58:07.640 a major scandal.

00:58:08.280 It is the fact

00:58:09.580 that they have used

00:58:11.080 misinformation

00:58:11.580 and outright lies

00:58:12.580 and fabrications

00:58:13.280 to convince millions

00:58:14.100 of otherwise healthy people

00:58:15.200 to take highly potent

00:58:16.840 psychotropic drugs.

00:58:18.540 Working with the

00:58:19.460 psychiatric industry

00:58:20.300 Big Pharma has

00:58:21.120 over time

00:58:21.640 medicalized

00:58:23.380 the entire human condition,

00:58:24.560 every thought,

00:58:25.300 emotion, feeling,

00:58:26.840 prescribed a drug

00:58:27.780 to treat it

00:58:28.540 as though a feeling

00:58:30.000 or thought

00:58:30.460 or mental disposition

00:58:31.300 is automatically diseased

00:58:33.200 just because it happens

00:58:34.200 to be unpleasant

00:58:34.980 or inconvenient.

00:58:36.400 The invention of ADHD

00:58:37.920 and the mass prescribing

00:58:39.080 of amphetamines

00:58:40.020 to children

00:58:40.500 in an effort

00:58:40.980 to treat

00:58:42.040 this completely

00:58:42.800 contrived disease

00:58:43.920 is the worst example

00:58:45.880 of this.

00:58:47.020 And I've made the case

00:58:47.840 against ADHD

00:58:48.540 as a medical diagnosis

00:58:49.600 many times.

00:58:50.300 I won't repeat

00:58:50.700 the whole rant here.

00:58:51.480 You can check my YouTube channel

00:58:52.440 to find many different versions

00:58:53.580 of my anti-ADHD soliloquy.

00:58:57.540 If you listen to the case

00:58:58.440 that I make

00:58:59.060 and that plenty of other skeptics

00:59:00.260 have made over the years,

00:59:01.140 you'll understand

00:59:01.600 that we are not denying

00:59:03.120 the existence

00:59:03.760 of what psychiatrists

00:59:04.800 would call ADHD symptoms.

00:59:08.340 ADHD is not

00:59:09.340 a discrete disease

00:59:10.300 like liver cancer.

00:59:11.420 It is a description

00:59:12.240 of a set of behaviors.

00:59:14.180 And there's no doubt

00:59:15.140 that those behaviors

00:59:16.040 are real.

00:59:16.920 Yes, many children,

00:59:18.100 especially boys,

00:59:18.880 exhibit them.

00:59:19.540 What we deny

00:59:20.220 is that those behaviors

00:59:21.820 are inherently disordered,

00:59:23.800 that they are an indication

00:59:25.480 of an illness, 0.98

00:59:26.800 and that they should be eradicated 0.77

00:59:29.140 through the use 0.96

00:59:29.680 of psychotropic drugs.

00:59:31.240 That is our point.

00:59:32.000 And there's more to be said

00:59:34.080 on that general point.

00:59:35.340 I've said it again many times.

00:59:37.280 So instead today,

00:59:38.100 what I'd like to do

00:59:38.940 is share one specific thought

00:59:40.660 related to this topic.

00:59:42.260 It's been on my mind

00:59:43.020 after reading a message

00:59:43.920 from a parent

00:59:44.540 who insisted that

00:59:46.160 although they agree generally

00:59:47.720 with my point about big pharma

00:59:49.080 and even my point about ADHD,

00:59:51.820 they had no choice

00:59:53.220 but to put their own

00:59:54.260 seven-year-old son

00:59:55.260 on ADHD drugs

00:59:56.280 because his behavior

00:59:57.540 was so wild

00:59:58.520 and so disruptive

00:59:59.400 and he struggled

01:00:00.420 so much in school.

01:00:02.000 They, quote,

01:00:02.640 tried everything

01:00:03.340 before resorting

01:00:04.240 to medication,

01:00:05.380 they claim.

01:00:06.440 And that is a refrain

01:00:07.500 that I have heard

01:00:08.860 countless times.

01:00:11.040 I cannot tell you

01:00:11.800 the number of conversations

01:00:12.660 I've had with

01:00:13.440 and emails I've read from

01:00:14.640 parents who claim

01:00:15.960 that they went

01:00:17.120 the medication route

01:00:18.160 as a last resort

01:00:19.500 after, quote, unquote,

01:00:21.840 trying everything.

01:00:23.680 But here's my problem

01:00:25.440 with parents

01:00:28.440 who say they tried everything

01:00:30.000 before putting

01:00:30.640 their children on drugs.

01:00:32.620 My problem

01:00:33.580 is that it isn't true.

01:00:36.020 It can't be true.

01:00:38.380 How could you

01:00:39.640 have tried everything?

01:00:42.000 The child is seven years old.

01:00:44.620 Even if he's eight

01:00:45.780 or nine

01:00:46.320 or ten

01:00:46.820 or twelve,

01:00:47.960 there's no way

01:00:48.980 that you tried everything.

01:00:51.060 If your child's been

01:00:52.200 diagnosed with ADHD

01:00:53.060 or you suspect

01:00:53.920 that he has

01:00:54.740 this artificial illness,

01:00:56.480 consider this

01:00:57.100 before you claim

01:00:57.840 that you've arrived

01:00:58.800 at your last resort.

01:00:59.940 have you tried

01:01:02.380 drastically reducing

01:01:04.340 his screen time?

01:01:05.720 I mean,

01:01:06.060 cutting it down

01:01:06.500 to 30 minutes a day

01:01:07.600 from the hours a day

01:01:09.140 he's probably currently getting.

01:01:10.940 Have you tried

01:01:11.900 cutting down

01:01:12.660 your own screen time

01:01:13.700 and using that time

01:01:15.140 to interact with your child,

01:01:16.400 play games with him,

01:01:17.580 give him something

01:01:18.180 enjoyable and wholesome

01:01:19.180 and constructive

01:01:20.780 to focus on?

01:01:21.520 Did you try

01:01:23.220 changing his diet?

01:01:24.820 Did you try

01:01:25.660 getting all the processed

01:01:26.780 sugary junk

01:01:27.580 out of your house

01:01:28.320 completely?

01:01:29.320 Did you try

01:01:30.280 finding him

01:01:30.840 some kind of sport

01:01:32.200 or outdoor activity

01:01:33.120 that allows him

01:01:33.780 to burn off energy

01:01:34.640 and develop useful skills?

01:01:36.460 Did you try

01:01:37.340 mandatory

01:01:38.580 45 minute reading time

01:01:40.440 at night

01:01:40.780 before bed

01:01:41.360 where all screens

01:01:42.180 are turned off

01:01:42.780 and he sits and reads

01:01:43.660 or you read to him

01:01:44.500 and you kind of unwind

01:01:45.480 and you get that

01:01:46.720 experience of reading?

01:01:48.260 Did you try

01:01:50.260 harsher punishments

01:01:51.460 for misbehavior?

01:01:52.940 Did you try

01:01:53.880 introducing

01:01:54.520 serious consequences

01:01:55.900 for serious misbehavior?

01:01:59.700 Did you try

01:02:00.700 all of that?

01:02:02.180 Now,

01:02:02.740 I know that

01:02:03.620 you'll probably say

01:02:05.200 that you did,

01:02:06.640 but you didn't.

01:02:08.900 I know that you didn't.

01:02:11.860 And if you have a kid

01:02:12.780 in elementary school

01:02:13.320 on ADHD drugs,

01:02:14.220 I'm flat out telling you

01:02:15.400 you did not try

01:02:17.080 all these things.

01:02:18.260 I know

01:02:19.460 that you didn't try them

01:02:20.380 because trying them

01:02:21.900 means implementing

01:02:22.860 these strategies

01:02:23.620 and sticking with them

01:02:25.340 for years.

01:02:27.780 It means giving

01:02:29.120 these seeds

01:02:29.980 time to grow fruit.

01:02:31.760 It means giving

01:02:32.780 your child time,

01:02:34.520 a lot of time.

01:02:36.320 He needs

01:02:37.060 a lot of time.

01:02:38.960 You cannot

01:02:39.640 possibly be

01:02:40.800 at your last resort

01:02:42.140 when he's seven.

01:02:44.260 You haven't given

01:02:45.300 any of these strategies

01:02:46.540 even close

01:02:47.480 to the amount

01:02:47.920 of time they need.

01:02:48.760 In other words,

01:02:49.560 you actually

01:02:50.280 haven't tried

01:02:51.140 anything.

01:02:52.640 You've tried

01:02:53.540 nothing.

01:02:55.300 Medication is not

01:02:56.040 your last resort.

01:02:57.120 It's your first.

01:02:58.640 He's seven.

01:02:59.680 There is no last here.

01:03:01.680 What is last?

01:03:03.020 His existence

01:03:03.680 just began

01:03:04.400 seven years ago.

01:03:06.820 You haven't given

01:03:07.540 him any time.

01:03:08.620 You haven't given

01:03:09.180 him any chance

01:03:09.960 to grow and mature.

01:03:11.240 You tried

01:03:11.940 these methods

01:03:12.680 to help your son,

01:03:14.080 but you abandoned

01:03:15.040 them way before

01:03:16.140 they could have

01:03:16.620 possibly shown

01:03:17.420 results.

01:03:19.420 So,

01:03:20.100 give your child

01:03:20.900 time.

01:03:22.000 He needs time.

01:03:23.680 You tried

01:03:24.380 everything,

01:03:25.340 but the one thing

01:03:26.140 you didn't try

01:03:26.880 was time.

01:03:29.040 So,

01:03:29.540 it's like saying

01:03:30.000 that you tried

01:03:30.680 everything to make

01:03:31.440 a perfect loaf

01:03:32.100 of bread,

01:03:32.620 except leaving

01:03:34.140 it in the oven

01:03:34.720 for more than

01:03:35.340 two minutes.

01:03:36.960 You know,

01:03:37.200 you've tried,

01:03:37.840 you've employed

01:03:38.320 every bread-making

01:03:39.300 strategy you

01:03:39.940 possibly could

01:03:40.540 think of

01:03:41.060 so long

01:03:42.860 as it would

01:03:44.440 take less

01:03:45.560 than two minutes.

01:03:47.560 Well,

01:03:48.680 in that case,

01:03:50.500 you haven't

01:03:50.820 actually tried

01:03:51.360 to make bread

01:03:51.900 because,

01:03:53.240 sorry,

01:03:53.540 bread takes time.

01:03:55.380 Children take

01:03:55.940 a lot more time.

01:03:57.560 That's the job

01:03:58.260 of parenting.

01:03:58.940 It requires

01:03:59.340 sustained,

01:04:00.240 consistent effort

01:04:01.000 for years

01:04:01.900 and years

01:04:02.860 and years.

01:04:03.880 That's the gig.

01:04:05.480 Right?

01:04:06.020 It's what we

01:04:06.420 signed up for.

01:04:07.180 And this is

01:04:09.020 a very important

01:04:09.500 point

01:04:09.980 that I actually

01:04:12.440 think about

01:04:12.880 a lot

01:04:13.420 because

01:04:14.620 this false

01:04:16.560 urgency,

01:04:17.300 this need

01:04:17.660 to fix

01:04:18.320 our kids

01:04:18.920 in 30 seconds

01:04:19.600 or less

01:04:20.060 is what

01:04:21.000 Big Pharma

01:04:21.480 preys upon.

01:04:23.500 I mean,

01:04:24.200 they've made

01:04:24.660 billions on this.

01:04:26.600 It's the same 0.53

01:04:27.260 sense of panic

01:04:28.160 and need

01:04:28.700 for quick fixes

01:04:29.400 that led many

01:04:30.080 parents to put

01:04:30.660 their children

01:04:31.060 on chemical

01:04:31.580 castration drugs

01:04:32.440 as a way

01:04:33.260 of fixing

01:04:33.820 what would

01:04:34.700 have otherwise

01:04:35.260 been a very

01:04:35.880 temporary confusion

01:04:36.880 about their

01:04:37.300 gender.

01:04:38.720 Most of

01:04:39.560 the worst

01:04:40.100 decisions

01:04:40.740 parents make,

01:04:42.440 the most

01:04:42.860 unintentionally

01:04:43.720 destructive ones,

01:04:45.080 are made in

01:04:45.740 the name of

01:04:46.440 fixing a child

01:04:47.640 quickly.

01:04:49.140 They are

01:04:49.840 motivated by

01:04:50.700 a false

01:04:51.240 sense of

01:04:51.820 urgency,

01:04:52.760 by this

01:04:53.180 hallucinatory

01:04:54.020 idea that

01:04:54.720 a child's

01:04:55.240 most challenging

01:04:55.880 behaviors must

01:04:57.020 be changed

01:04:57.740 right away

01:04:58.600 or else

01:04:59.840 some unspecified

01:05:01.320 terrible thing

01:05:02.020 will happen.

01:05:03.600 They're made

01:05:04.400 because the

01:05:04.860 parent doesn't 0.74

01:05:05.580 want to

01:05:06.020 or has been

01:05:06.580 convinced that

01:05:07.160 they shouldn't

01:05:07.860 give it

01:05:08.960 time.

01:05:10.520 Here's the

01:05:11.220 thing about

01:05:11.840 kids.

01:05:14.820 And if I

01:05:15.560 could get

01:05:15.800 parents to

01:05:16.320 understand one

01:05:16.940 thing, it

01:05:17.500 might be this.

01:05:19.600 Nothing is

01:05:20.440 permanent.

01:05:21.840 Everything

01:05:22.200 changes.

01:05:23.440 And they go

01:05:24.240 through phases.

01:05:25.440 And those

01:05:26.100 phases can be

01:05:26.860 intense.

01:05:28.200 They could

01:05:28.580 last for six

01:05:29.360 days or six

01:05:30.580 years.

01:05:32.360 But either

01:05:33.560 way, they won't

01:05:34.100 last forever.

01:05:35.560 So just to

01:05:35.980 give you one

01:05:36.500 example of the

01:05:37.380 dozens and

01:05:38.060 dozens that I

01:05:38.680 could supply

01:05:39.180 from my own

01:05:39.820 life and my

01:05:40.320 family, my

01:05:42.940 oldest daughter

01:05:43.620 struggled to

01:05:44.380 read.

01:05:45.360 Hated reading

01:05:45.960 for many

01:05:46.640 years.

01:05:47.500 Many years.

01:05:48.460 From the age

01:05:49.220 of like about

01:05:49.840 four, right

01:05:50.460 around the time

01:05:50.880 you first start

01:05:51.340 reading, to

01:05:52.500 right around

01:05:52.940 11, getting

01:05:54.680 her to read

01:05:55.400 was like

01:05:55.880 pulling teeth.

01:05:56.940 And she had a

01:05:57.640 very hard time

01:05:58.240 with it for a

01:05:59.240 long time.

01:06:00.240 She was for a

01:06:01.380 long time way

01:06:01.960 behind her peers.

01:06:02.900 And yes, as

01:06:03.960 parents, we

01:06:04.400 worried about

01:06:04.880 it.

01:06:05.440 For all this

01:06:06.160 stuff that I'm

01:06:06.560 saying about

01:06:07.120 give it time,

01:06:08.060 it's not easy

01:06:08.840 to do.

01:06:09.180 I understand

01:06:09.540 that.

01:06:10.440 And so as a

01:06:11.300 parent, we're

01:06:11.700 worried.

01:06:12.380 And we're

01:06:13.020 fretting.

01:06:13.680 And we can't

01:06:15.280 help but imagine

01:06:16.080 a dark future

01:06:17.020 where our

01:06:17.460 daughter is 25

01:06:18.220 years old and

01:06:19.300 can barely

01:06:19.760 read.

01:06:21.340 Well, then one

01:06:22.280 day it changed.

01:06:23.460 And now at

01:06:24.500 11 and a half,

01:06:25.660 we can't get her

01:06:27.120 to stop reading.

01:06:28.500 I mean, she

01:06:28.860 reads like two

01:06:29.520 whole chapter books

01:06:30.240 a week.

01:06:30.580 I'm talking books

01:06:31.360 that are 300

01:06:31.820 pages.

01:06:33.380 She's just

01:06:34.500 burning through

01:06:35.840 them.

01:06:36.560 She reads

01:06:37.040 morning,

01:06:37.500 afternoon,

01:06:37.840 and night.

01:06:38.700 I catch her

01:06:39.340 in her room

01:06:39.680 with a flashlight

01:06:40.320 two hours after

01:06:40.980 bedtime, still

01:06:41.720 reading.

01:06:42.560 And then she

01:06:43.100 wakes up and

01:06:43.460 starts reading

01:06:43.860 again.

01:06:44.840 The other day,

01:06:45.320 I actually had

01:06:45.720 to tell her to

01:06:46.280 stop reading

01:06:46.980 and come watch

01:06:47.600 TV.

01:06:48.460 I wanted to

01:06:49.000 watch just

01:06:49.380 about an hour

01:06:49.820 of TV as a

01:06:50.400 family.

01:06:50.740 We don't

01:06:50.840 watch a lot

01:06:51.200 of TV, but

01:06:51.640 I wanted to

01:06:52.420 do that.

01:06:52.840 And she

01:06:53.300 wanted to

01:06:53.600 stay in her

01:06:53.960 room and

01:06:54.220 read.

01:06:54.680 I had to

01:06:55.240 say words

01:06:55.840 that perhaps

01:06:56.240 no parent

01:06:56.860 has ever

01:06:57.320 uttered to

01:06:57.680 a child

01:06:58.000 before.

01:06:58.680 Put the

01:06:59.080 book down

01:06:59.620 and come

01:07:00.140 watch TV

01:07:00.680 because she's

01:07:01.980 a reading

01:07:02.340 addict.

01:07:03.100 It's amazing.

01:07:03.800 I love it.

01:07:04.260 It's incredible.

01:07:07.100 The point is

01:07:07.900 that kids

01:07:08.240 change.

01:07:08.760 And her

01:07:09.000 change seems

01:07:09.640 sudden and

01:07:10.220 out of

01:07:10.460 nowhere.

01:07:11.420 And it was

01:07:12.180 sudden, but it

01:07:12.980 wasn't out of

01:07:13.560 nowhere.

01:07:13.960 We worked

01:07:14.380 with her for

01:07:14.940 years, for

01:07:15.740 years and

01:07:16.580 years and

01:07:17.220 years, every

01:07:18.780 day, every

01:07:20.460 day for years.

01:07:21.480 And it's just

01:07:21.920 that we saw

01:07:22.500 little progress

01:07:23.420 visibly.

01:07:24.400 And then we

01:07:25.300 saw a gigantic

01:07:26.220 Grand Canyon

01:07:27.160 leap of progress

01:07:28.180 all at once.

01:07:29.240 That's the way

01:07:29.780 it is with

01:07:30.180 kids, in my

01:07:30.780 experience.

01:07:31.640 But you have

01:07:32.100 to give them

01:07:32.480 time.

01:07:33.260 Before you

01:07:33.780 start messing

01:07:34.340 with their 0.98

01:07:34.720 brains and 1.00

01:07:35.400 drugging them 0.61

01:07:36.000 and medicating

01:07:36.680 them and

01:07:37.020 medicalizing

01:07:37.620 them, give 0.91

01:07:38.680 them time.

01:07:39.720 Lead them

01:07:40.160 in the right

01:07:40.520 direction.

01:07:41.040 Take them

01:07:41.420 by the hand

01:07:41.880 and pull 0.59

01:07:42.300 them along

01:07:42.700 if you have

01:07:43.100 to, which

01:07:43.380 most of the

01:07:43.780 time you

01:07:44.080 will.

01:07:44.820 But give

01:07:45.540 them time.

01:07:46.540 And this is

01:07:46.960 especially important,

01:07:47.780 I believe, for

01:07:48.300 boys.

01:07:49.180 If you think

01:07:49.700 that your son

01:07:50.240 has a deficit

01:07:51.000 of attention,

01:07:51.860 if you think

01:07:52.280 that he's

01:07:52.580 incapable of

01:07:53.460 focusing on or

01:07:54.300 paying attention

01:07:54.780 to anything,

01:07:56.360 my question is

01:07:57.080 this, how

01:07:58.540 many things

01:07:59.380 have you

01:08:00.080 tried?

01:08:01.020 Are you sure

01:08:02.020 that he has

01:08:02.380 some sort of

01:08:02.820 neurological

01:08:03.220 inability to

01:08:04.320 focus?

01:08:04.760 Or do you

01:08:05.380 mean that he

01:08:06.560 very specifically

01:08:07.740 finds it

01:08:08.340 difficult to

01:08:08.940 focus in

01:08:09.560 school?

01:08:10.520 Is he able

01:08:11.320 to pay

01:08:11.560 attention for

01:08:12.040 long periods

01:08:12.560 of time to

01:08:13.240 anything else?

01:08:15.220 If there's

01:08:16.040 something he

01:08:16.600 can focus on

01:08:17.660 and pay

01:08:17.940 attention to,

01:08:18.560 but he

01:08:19.000 struggles to

01:08:19.600 pay attention

01:08:20.040 in school,

01:08:21.280 the problem

01:08:22.220 is obviously

01:08:22.960 not a

01:08:24.480 physical

01:08:24.840 inability to

01:08:25.520 pay attention.

01:08:25.960 The problem

01:08:26.540 is that he's

01:08:29.860 bored in

01:08:30.540 school.

01:08:31.600 If you are

01:08:32.360 drugging him

01:08:33.000 in that case,

01:08:33.780 the disease

01:08:34.520 you're drugging

01:08:35.280 and treating

01:08:35.960 is boredom.

01:08:37.560 You are

01:08:38.240 drugging your 0.92

01:08:38.980 son because

01:08:40.140 he's bored.

01:08:41.840 Bored by

01:08:42.540 something that

01:08:43.360 is in fact

01:08:44.140 very boring.

01:08:46.400 And if that

01:08:47.140 sounds pretty

01:08:47.600 awful, it's

01:08:48.300 because, I'm

01:08:48.920 sorry, it is

01:08:49.800 pretty awful.

01:08:51.800 Now, you

01:08:53.560 might say that,

01:08:54.320 well, there

01:08:54.520 really isn't

01:08:54.860 anything that

01:08:55.640 my son can

01:08:56.780 focus on.

01:08:58.340 But again, I

01:08:59.160 ask you, how

01:08:59.980 many things

01:09:00.800 have you

01:09:01.220 tried?

01:09:02.620 Another

01:09:03.020 personal

01:09:03.400 example.

01:09:04.780 Both my

01:09:05.260 11-year-old son

01:09:05.880 and my

01:09:06.020 8-year-old son

01:09:06.580 have recently

01:09:07.280 discovered a

01:09:08.020 passion for

01:09:08.620 archery.

01:09:09.740 Okay?

01:09:11.080 And they

01:09:11.380 picked this up

01:09:12.180 on their own.

01:09:13.660 Archery's not

01:09:14.260 my thing.

01:09:14.820 I've shot a

01:09:15.580 bow and arrow

01:09:15.900 like twice

01:09:16.320 in my life.

01:09:16.700 But they

01:09:18.800 discovered this

01:09:19.660 passion for

01:09:20.500 it.

01:09:20.760 And so I

01:09:21.260 took them to

01:09:21.660 the archery

01:09:22.240 range over

01:09:22.660 the weekend.

01:09:23.720 And I

01:09:24.240 watched them

01:09:24.860 practice for

01:09:25.800 an hour.

01:09:27.340 And focusing,

01:09:30.260 just one,

01:09:31.740 you know,

01:09:32.060 taking the

01:09:32.400 air out of

01:09:32.680 the quiver,

01:09:33.080 one after

01:09:33.440 another.

01:09:34.440 My son's

01:09:34.980 hitting bullseye

01:09:36.560 shots from 60

01:09:37.620 feet out with a

01:09:38.360 bow and arrow.

01:09:39.480 I mean, and

01:09:40.480 both of them are

01:09:41.340 very, very high

01:09:42.280 energy and

01:09:42.780 rambunctious.

01:09:43.380 Both of them

01:09:43.860 could easily be

01:09:44.840 re-diagnosed

01:09:45.260 ADHD, if we

01:09:46.060 went seeking

01:09:46.540 that diagnosis,

01:09:47.240 which we

01:09:47.580 haven't and

01:09:48.000 won't.

01:09:49.340 Yet they

01:09:49.680 practice archery

01:09:50.380 every day now,

01:09:51.220 a sport that

01:09:51.620 requires intense

01:09:52.600 focus and

01:09:53.340 concentration and

01:09:54.120 discipline.

01:09:54.960 And if they

01:09:55.360 stick with it

01:09:55.800 over time,

01:09:56.340 they'll become

01:09:56.840 more disciplined

01:09:57.500 and focused in

01:09:58.260 every area of

01:09:59.200 their lives.

01:10:00.320 I've already

01:10:00.900 noticed some of

01:10:01.540 those improvements

01:10:02.040 just from the

01:10:02.560 relatively short

01:10:03.200 time that they've

01:10:03.800 been involved in

01:10:04.380 the sport.

01:10:05.480 And why is that?

01:10:06.580 Well, because

01:10:08.360 discipline and

01:10:09.200 focus are skills.

01:10:11.740 You have to

01:10:12.220 hone them.

01:10:14.160 Okay,

01:10:14.340 focusing on

01:10:15.640 something,

01:10:16.120 focusing especially

01:10:17.200 on something that

01:10:17.880 you consider

01:10:18.460 boring is a

01:10:20.080 skill.

01:10:21.420 You need to

01:10:22.180 give your boy

01:10:22.820 an outlet to

01:10:23.880 hone the

01:10:24.820 skill.

01:10:26.320 And if you

01:10:26.700 want him to

01:10:28.280 be more

01:10:28.620 focused, help

01:10:30.280 him develop

01:10:31.040 the skill.

01:10:32.540 Have you done

01:10:33.020 that?

01:10:34.400 If you're

01:10:34.980 telling me,

01:10:35.280 oh, he can't

01:10:35.760 focus on

01:10:36.120 anything, have

01:10:36.940 you helped

01:10:37.580 him develop

01:10:38.500 the skill of

01:10:39.900 focus?

01:10:41.180 Have you tried

01:10:42.000 finding him an

01:10:42.780 outlet for that

01:10:43.780 purpose?

01:10:44.320 Find him

01:10:44.800 something he

01:10:45.300 loves that

01:10:46.660 requires focus.

01:10:49.040 And he'll do

01:10:49.880 it because he

01:10:50.280 loves it.

01:10:51.160 And in the

01:10:51.600 process, as a

01:10:52.700 byproduct, he

01:10:53.900 will learn how

01:10:54.580 to focus

01:10:55.240 generally, and

01:10:56.260 he'll start

01:10:56.620 being able to

01:10:57.120 apply that even

01:10:58.160 to areas of

01:10:58.740 life that he

01:10:59.300 doesn't love as

01:10:59.840 much.

01:11:01.620 If you put him

01:11:02.340 on drugs in

01:11:02.840 elementary school,

01:11:03.940 you didn't try.

01:11:05.400 You didn't give

01:11:06.360 him a chance.

01:11:07.520 You went for the

01:11:08.420 quick fix instead.

01:11:09.900 You didn't give

01:11:10.520 him time.

01:11:10.940 And he needs

01:11:13.080 and deserves

01:11:13.700 time.

01:11:15.380 Now, this way is

01:11:16.140 harder for a

01:11:16.660 parent.

01:11:16.920 I understand that.

01:11:18.180 I know that from

01:11:18.760 experience.

01:11:19.220 I'm not recommending

01:11:19.920 any course of

01:11:20.420 action that I have

01:11:20.980 not taken and

01:11:21.640 am not currently

01:11:22.260 living through at

01:11:22.940 this very moment.

01:11:23.680 I understand the

01:11:24.320 challenges of

01:11:24.760 raising children

01:11:25.340 without resorting

01:11:26.440 to drugs as a

01:11:27.060 shortcut.

01:11:27.440 I understand the

01:11:28.120 challenges more

01:11:28.660 than almost every

01:11:29.320 person who's ever

01:11:29.980 accused me of not

01:11:31.060 understanding them.

01:11:32.060 Four boys, two

01:11:32.800 girls, two sets of 0.99

01:11:33.500 twins.

01:11:33.780 I get it.

01:11:35.140 Drugging your

01:11:35.680 child into

01:11:36.120 submission is

01:11:36.820 easier.

01:11:38.220 Working with

01:11:38.820 them, being

01:11:39.240 patient, giving

01:11:40.060 them a chance to

01:11:40.720 grow and mature

01:11:41.380 naturally is

01:11:42.140 difficult, but you

01:11:42.960 owe it to your

01:11:43.540 child to do the

01:11:44.200 difficult thing.

01:11:46.580 Neither of you

01:11:47.260 will regret it in

01:11:47.860 the long run.

01:11:48.400 Very few parents

01:11:49.040 look back on their

01:11:49.760 child's life and

01:11:50.440 regret not dosing

01:11:51.820 them with

01:11:52.520 psychotropic drugs

01:11:53.380 in elementary

01:11:53.740 school.

01:11:54.320 Many regret having

01:11:55.480 done so, and many

01:11:56.640 adults regret that it

01:11:57.560 was done to them.

01:11:58.580 Avoid the regret.

01:11:59.880 Give your child

01:12:00.480 time.

01:12:01.840 There's no long-term

01:12:02.820 downside to this.

01:12:04.560 Don't listen to

01:12:05.380 anyone who tells you

01:12:06.200 otherwise.

01:12:06.680 The other day,

01:12:07.080 someone tweeted at

01:12:07.800 me with an

01:12:10.200 objection I've heard

01:12:10.800 a million times.

01:12:12.400 He said, dude, you

01:12:13.580 must not have kids.

01:12:15.000 Let them just grow

01:12:15.700 and mature means in a

01:12:16.580 lot of cases, letting

01:12:17.320 them fail out of

01:12:18.040 school early with not

01:12:19.020 much of a future.

01:12:20.260 Something has to be

01:12:20.860 done so they can at

01:12:21.580 least learn basic

01:12:22.520 stuff like reading.

01:12:23.600 I'm not saying meds is

01:12:24.440 the best answer, but

01:12:25.200 it's a precarious

01:12:25.900 situation.

01:12:27.400 First of all, of

01:12:28.320 course, this is why

01:12:29.360 it's best to glance at

01:12:30.240 Wikipedia quickly before

01:12:31.360 you accuse someone of

01:12:32.580 not having kids.

01:12:34.500 Second, this is the

01:12:36.220 kind of totally

01:12:37.260 delusional fear

01:12:38.320 parents have.

01:12:39.940 And I get it.

01:12:41.240 I get it.

01:12:42.100 But it is delusional.

01:12:44.140 Your kid is not going

01:12:45.740 to fail out of

01:12:46.740 school.

01:12:47.660 Listen to me.

01:12:48.540 It is literally

01:12:49.600 impossible for him to

01:12:50.760 fail out of school,

01:12:51.300 even if he tried to.

01:12:52.560 They won't let him.

01:12:54.000 If your son decided his

01:12:55.340 mission in life was to

01:12:56.440 fail out of school, he

01:12:57.640 wouldn't be able to do

01:12:58.280 it.

01:12:59.580 Okay, they say you

01:13:00.360 can achieve your dreams.

01:13:01.140 That's one dream you

01:13:01.740 can't achieve.

01:13:02.380 The school system

01:13:02.900 won't let it happen.

01:13:05.240 And he's especially not

01:13:06.500 going to fail out of

01:13:07.280 elementary school. 0.95

01:13:09.380 What the hell third 0.94

01:13:10.420 grader have you heard of 0.89

01:13:11.340 in modern times that's

01:13:12.840 failed out of school?

01:13:15.280 Now, what might happen

01:13:16.600 is that as you give him

01:13:19.640 time to grow and you

01:13:21.240 work with him slowly,

01:13:22.300 that he might get

01:13:24.280 mediocre grades in

01:13:25.600 elementary school or

01:13:26.320 even bad grades.

01:13:27.100 Do you know what will

01:13:29.640 happen to your child in

01:13:30.660 the long run if he gets

01:13:32.040 mediocre or bad grades in

01:13:33.660 elementary school?

01:13:36.360 Literally nothing.

01:13:38.080 Not a single thing.

01:13:40.160 There is not a single

01:13:41.180 adult walking the earth

01:13:42.300 today whose life is at

01:13:43.540 all hampered by the poor

01:13:45.320 report card they got in

01:13:46.760 third grade.

01:13:49.680 Now, I'm not saying that

01:13:51.220 bad grades are okay or that

01:13:52.440 you should just accept

01:13:53.160 them.

01:13:53.360 I am saying that they

01:13:54.580 are not the kind of

01:13:55.480 thing you need to

01:13:56.160 chemically alter your

01:13:57.400 child's brain just to

01:13:58.840 avoid.

01:14:00.960 Just work with them and

01:14:03.060 give them time.

01:14:05.200 Okay?

01:14:05.860 All good things take

01:14:07.280 time.

01:14:08.400 Raising children to be 1.00

01:14:09.460 virtuous, smart, high

01:14:10.640 functioning people in

01:14:11.700 this world is one of the

01:14:13.560 best things a person can

01:14:14.560 do.

01:14:15.720 And so it takes the most

01:14:17.220 time.

01:14:19.300 And that is why parents

01:14:21.160 who reach for the quick

01:14:22.180 fixes rather than doing

01:14:23.340 the hard work of

01:14:24.000 actually parenting are

01:14:25.000 today canceled.

01:14:27.940 That'll do it for the

01:14:28.300 show today.

01:14:28.600 Thanks for watching.

01:14:29.040 Thanks for listening.

01:14:29.560 Talk to you tomorrow.

01:14:30.240 Have a great day.

01:14:31.160 Godspeed.

01:14:31.460 Godspeed.
