The Matt Walsh Show - Ep. 1578 - Leftists Demanded Police Body Cams. Now They Regret It.

00:00:00.000 Today on the Matt Wall Show, one of the central demands of the BLM movement was that all police 0.82

00:00:04.140 officers should have body cameras. Well, ironically, as a recent incident again demonstrates,

00:00:08.540 body cameras are what ultimately killed the BLM movement. Also, a landmark decision from the UK

00:00:13.120 Supreme Court, which has found that men are not women. And a sports reporter has provoked outrage

00:00:17.980 and attracted national headlines for committing the crime of being a very normal heterosexual man.

00:00:23.080 Talk about all that and more today on the Matt Wall Show. 0.93

00:01:46.540 first month subscription. Two years ago, a man named Deshaun Leith was named a community engagement

00:01:52.200 officer at the sheriff's office in Washtenaw County, Michigan. And this is a position that,

00:01:57.420 according to the sheriff's office, is something of a big deal. Quote,

00:02:00.600 community engagement is a foundational element of our ability to realize our organizational mission.

00:02:05.340 Community engagement isn't just a program. It is how we communicate, build trust, identify needs,

00:02:10.360 and collaboratively work side-by-side with our partners to create interventions and provide solutions.

00:02:15.960 In other words, community engagement officers are representatives for the police force. Their job is

00:02:20.340 to visit schools and prisons, other institutions, and try to find ways to make the community safer.

00:02:26.480 And for 30-year-old Deshaun Leith, the title of community engagement officer was just one line

00:02:30.880 on a lengthy resume that, if you leave off his eight felony convictions for home invasion and

00:02:35.840 two convictions for larceny, really reflected his passion for serving the people of Michigan.

00:02:41.060 When he wasn't going on crime sprees, he was a true model citizen. In his spare time,

00:02:45.760 for example, Leith was the executive director of an organization called Underdog Nation,

00:02:50.340 which states that its mission is to help at-risk kids who lack resources and help prevent teen

00:02:55.500 violence and disengagement from school. And to that end, the Underdog Nation hosted video game

00:03:00.180 tournaments in its local schools and encouraged students to pursue BLM activism, because as we all

00:03:05.620 know, video games and activism are how you really make sure kids are keeping their grades up.

00:03:10.220 Underdog Nation also claims to be a public interest nonprofit, even though local journalists

00:03:14.680 can't find any record that they're actually registered as a nonprofit. But that's not the point.

00:03:19.020 The point is that Deshaun Leith, whether he started a legal nonprofit or not,

00:03:22.800 is a beacon of light in Washtenaw County, Michigan. Or at least Deshaun Leith was a beacon of light

00:03:29.760 in Washtenaw County, Michigan, right up until his light was extinguished on April 4th. And that's the

00:03:35.240 day when, while he was totally unarmed, Leith was gunned down by several neo-Nazi police officers.

00:03:41.960 What was Leith's crime, you ask? Well, there wasn't one. Of course, he got into a car accident,

00:03:46.720 and then he calmly approached a state trooper for help. And then as he approached the officer,

00:03:51.040 he was brutally murdered in a flagrant act of white supremacy. Yes, police executed a committed 0.67

00:03:57.440 black community servant simply because of his race. And then the police stuffed his body in a 0.95

00:04:02.980 squad car and pretended he stole it. Can you imagine? I mean, it's just too terrifying to think

00:04:08.140 about. So don't think about it. Just start rioting. Now, everything I've just said up until this point

00:04:14.040 is totally nonsense, but it is the narrative that you would have heard in the press 24 hours a day

00:04:19.340 if it weren't for police body cameras. There is no doubt whatsoever that in the absence of video

00:04:24.600 evidence of the crimes that he was committing before his death, Deshaun Leith would have been

00:04:28.980 BLM's next Michael Brown or Trayvon Martin. They would have flooded every website with relentless 1.00

00:04:34.520 propaganda about what a great person Deshaun Leith was and how horrible it is that police killed him.

00:04:39.580 In fact, they were already doing that before the body camera footage was released. The sheriff of

00:04:44.800 Washington County, a woman named Alicia Dyer, posted this message on Facebook, for example,

00:04:51.700 quote, like so many in the community, we are left in shock with unanswered questions and profound

00:04:56.820 sorrow. His loss will be deeply felt by the young people across our county whose lives he touched.

00:05:02.560 No matter who you were or what you'd been through, Deshaun showed unwavering compassion

00:05:07.660 and care to everyone he worked with, close quote. Another public official, district commissioner,

00:05:13.200 Annie Somerville, posted a similar message, quote, we lost a great one. May the memory of Deshaun

00:05:19.080 Leith keep us surrounded, keep us grounded on supporting young people in our community.

00:05:23.280 That's what he would want, close quote. Now, in part because of comments like this,

00:05:28.000 a GoFundMe for Deshaun Leith has already raised around $15,000. So yes, he was a, he was a great one.

00:05:34.260 He kept us grounded. He showed compassion and care to literally everyone. His loss is deeply felt.

00:05:42.580 This is the propaganda that spread within days of Leith's death. And it's the kind of propaganda

00:05:46.800 that we would have been subjected to on endless repeat for months on end if we didn't have the

00:05:52.100 footage that I'm about to show you. So here is the body camera footage from the Ohio State Police

00:05:58.400 showing a state trooper's first encounter with the great compassionate public servant,

00:06:05.100 Deshaun Leith, near the border with Pennsylvania. Watch.

00:06:07.400 I think it's a black male with a pink shirt.

00:06:11.220 This is going on.

00:06:28.220 The name of Jesus.

00:06:34.020 Hey, you're gonna get hurt.

00:06:36.020 This is where I don't know.

00:06:37.020 Turn around.

00:06:38.020 Put your hands behind your back. 1.00

00:06:39.020 That time you tell me you're gonna die. 1.00

00:06:40.020 That time you tell me you're gonna die. 1.00

00:06:41.020 Turn around. 1.00

00:06:42.020 Turn around.

00:06:43.020 Put your hands behind your back.

00:06:45.020 Hey, you gotta go down.

00:06:47.020 You ain't dead.

00:06:49.020 That's Jesus.

00:06:52.020 That's Jesus.

00:06:54.020 That's Jesus.

00:06:56.020 Get down on the ground.

00:06:59.020 Jesus.

00:07:00.020 Jesus.

00:07:01.020 Jesus.

00:07:02.020 Jesus.

00:07:03.020 Jesus.

00:07:04.020 Jesus.

00:07:05.020 Jesus.

00:07:06.020 Jesus.

00:07:07.020 Jesus.

00:07:08.020 Jesus.

00:07:09.020 Jesus.

00:07:10.020 Jesus.

00:07:11.020 Jesus.

00:07:12.020 Jesus.

00:07:13.020 Jesus.

00:07:14.020 Okay, let's see.

00:07:15.020 Get out of here.

00:07:17.020 Jesus.

00:07:18.020 Let's talk to Jesus.

00:07:20.020 Go ahead.

00:07:21.020 Jesus.

00:07:22.020 Get down on the ground now.

00:07:23.020 Lay down.

00:07:24.020 Lay down.

00:07:25.020 Lay down.

00:07:26.020 I'm a stone in Jesus.

00:07:29.020 I'm a Jesus lover.

00:07:31.020 OK, so we'll we'll play the rest of the footage in a second. But there are two points that need to be made right off the bat. First of all, every single government official who put out a statement mourning this psychotic criminal needs to be removed from office as quickly as possible. There is no conceivable narrative of police misconduct here.

00:07:49.760 There is also no narrative in which Deshaun Leith is a well-adjusted person and an asset to the community. He was dangerous and violent right up until the end. He died doing what he loved, which was stealing other people's property and terrorizing the local community. Keep in mind, this was not an otherwise law-abiding citizen who just snapped one day and lost his mind. He had a long history of criminal activity from like the moment he entered adulthood at 18 until that moment.

00:08:15.880 This guy was a criminal and he'd already spent time in prison for home invasion, for example. Now, the other takeaway from the footage is that the officer would have been justified in shooting Deshaun Leith about a dozen times during this encounter.

00:08:30.340 This would have been a good moment, for example. Take a look at this still frame, which is making the rounds.

00:08:35.760 Now, anyone looking at this image can tell immediately that the officer should not be holding a taser at this point. He should be holding a gun and he should be using it.

00:08:44.460 But instead of using his gun, he discards the taser and engages in a fist fight. He puts his fists up to fight with this guy, and it's a fight that he, of course, loses.

00:08:56.840 And because the officer loses this fight, Leith is able to drive away in the officer's squad car, which he then used to lead police on a 10-minute-long chase at high speeds.

00:09:05.400 In other words, the officer's decision not to use lethal force ultimately endangered his own life, as well as the lives of everybody on the highway that day.

00:09:15.360 This is the footage from the police cruiser's dash cam after Leith stole it. Watch.

00:09:21.040 He checked the patrol garage on in the Pennsylvania.

00:09:33.000 Okay.

00:09:33.540 the devil off the radio play that good gospel music everlasting god in the name of jesus

00:09:47.800 in the day room and i told him about that i told him about it right and i told so

00:09:52.280 is a making song requests to the radio i don't know i don't think it exactly works that way but

00:09:59.620 uh you know we all know why the officer allowed this chase to happen instead of neutralizing

00:10:05.020 leith immediately uh he didn't want to end up like derek chauvin he didn't want his life to

00:10:09.980 be destroyed in the service of a fraudulent blm narrative so instead the officer allowed this

00:10:15.360 psychotic criminal to beat him up on the side of the road and take his squad car instead of just

00:10:21.040 shooting him which again he could have done and should have done many many times during that whole

00:10:25.920 interaction these are the incentives that blm has created and they've made policing far more

00:10:32.180 dangerous in every respect the irony is that in their rush to vilify police officers blm also helped

00:10:39.660 provide police officers with a tool that is now vindicating them with great frequency it was blm

00:10:46.000 as you might remember that led the charge for mandatory body cams just a few years ago so here

00:10:50.840 are just a few examples from jacksonville kansas city and new york of of blm calling for body cams

00:10:57.520 listen the second demand body cameras for all kcpd officers that's already underway after two and a

00:11:05.460 half million dollars in donations from the de bruce foundation and local businesses i can't appreciate

00:11:10.740 this community more i mean there is people in this community have stepped up and tried to do so many

00:11:15.100 things body cameras have become a gold standard for many departments across the country and have

00:11:20.040 captured everything from heroic rescues don't let go to official misconduct that's led to terminations

00:11:25.540 and charges stop fighting stop fighting i personally feel if you're if you're doing nothing wrong you have

00:11:30.540 nothing to hide this is a beginning of a movement justice horn and activists who led many protests

00:11:36.240 and helped author the lists of demands signed by the mayor says getting body cameras is the first step

00:11:42.120 tiffany porter is the founder of being black in the burbs she says they just want webster to move towards

00:11:47.200 being systemically anti-racist through recreational programs and training but says it goes deeper than

00:11:52.900 that anti-racist uh living is a lifestyle it's not just a training and you're done or reading a couple

00:11:59.820 books it's a way of life porter says the group's other goals include a firm timeline on a police body

00:12:05.260 camera system anti-racist training for officers and dropping protester charges from a recent event

00:12:10.540 in a statement webster police say they have body cameras being tested in the field now he does say

00:12:15.900 that he is in favor of getting body cameras for his officers but it could be a long and difficult

00:12:21.680 and expensive process still a lot of people in the community say they're a necessity

00:12:27.200 local protesters are making their voices heard loud and clear

00:12:37.160 several groups demonstrating are asking for jacksonville sheriff's officers to be held

00:12:43.960 accountable after three high profile cases an officer beating myra martinez at the jail

00:12:50.200 this fight at a northwest jack's convenience store where video shows an officer punching a man several

00:12:55.660 times and now a police involved shooting in springfield where an officer shot and killed this

00:13:01.760 man even though witnesses say he was running away no justice no peace no racist police many are demanding

00:13:09.940 police wear body cameras so far the department doesn't use them well so anyway that didn't work

00:13:17.280 out as intended uh in fact it's not unreasonable to say that ultimately body cameras killed blm or at

00:13:25.420 least put the final nail in blm's coffin if not for body cameras there would have been 10 more

00:13:30.940 george floyd's after george floyd if you're wondering why there haven't been more of these

00:13:34.940 uh of these you know events in the last five years there are a lot of theories for that

00:13:39.860 this is probably the number one reason is that all the cops have body cameras now

00:13:45.300 uh late last year to give just another example a black georgetown university graduate was shot to death by

00:13:51.540 police in her apartment complex and very quickly uh georgetown put out this tweet which is still up

00:13:57.640 it says quote georgetown women's basketball mourns the tragic loss of sydney wilson forever ahoya

00:14:04.420 in other words sydney wilson was the victim they're implying that she's another casualty of police

00:14:09.660 violence and a lot of people on facebook agreed there was some traction building on social media

00:14:14.560 uh around this this event for example somebody wrote sydney wilson should have been tased instead

00:14:20.760 but of course she was black so they took her out well then the body camera footage was released and

00:14:27.600 everyone saw the truth which is that sydney wilson very nearly murdered a police officer while charging

00:14:32.900 at him like a demon from hell and once again this officer allowed the situation to spiral out of

00:14:38.500 control probably because he understood that his life would be destroyed if he defended himself watch

00:14:43.880 jim we must warn you it's a stunning and disturbing encounter officer peter lu was responding to the

00:14:49.940 home of 33 year old sydney wilson last month her doctors had expressed concerns about her mental health 0.75

00:14:55.340 and then this happened the woman initially opening the door but then she slammed it in the officer's face 1.00

00:15:02.480 you can even see a slight smile there this happened at her apartment on sunrise valley drive

00:15:06.860 then 10 minutes later wilson came out swinging armed with a knife the video shows officer

00:15:12.900 lou retreating backing down the hallway when wilson moves toward him she swiped at the officer again 1.00

00:15:18.500 with that knife before he fired three shots at her he did the things that we train him and expect him

00:15:25.600 to do if you're threatened like that if you can tactically reposition yourself do it if you can use

00:15:31.360 distance use it now that woman with the butcher knife would have would have her own murals by now if it 0.98

00:15:39.560 were not for body cams the story would have gone something like this an officer showed up to help

00:15:45.680 a distressed woman in the middle of a mental health crisis the racist officer then executed the woman 1.00

00:15:50.040 in cold blood outside of her own apartment despite the fact that she was unarmed the fact that she you

00:15:56.240 know had a knife would not be mentioned until the riots were well underway that's the way that these

00:16:00.040 things would normally go but because of body cams this is the image that everybody remembers from this

00:16:05.560 encounter and it's enough to make you wonder how much damage to this country could have been avoided

00:16:11.940 if darren wilson had a body cam in ferguson it probably would have shown an image a lot like that one

00:16:18.020 and we may have been spared a lot of chaos and death and property damage as a result

00:16:23.080 activists were able to lie blatantly hands up don't shoot because there were no cameras and then the truth

00:16:29.500 came out that brown charged wilson and tried to kill him and when that happened activists scoffed at it

00:16:34.740 and claimed that well nobody would go charging at a cop like that well we now know from body cams that

00:16:40.020 in fact yeah that happens all the time the image of a crazed bloodthirsty michael brown bum-rushing

00:16:46.200 an armed cop is not at all far-fetched based on what we've now seen in these interactions nor is it

00:16:51.260 far-fetched based on the investigation from obama's justice department which corroborated everything

00:16:55.340 darren wilson said along with forensic evidence and everything else um but we know that that that

00:17:01.300 apparently is not unusual now at this point we know where this will lead the same movement that

00:17:08.800 demanded body cams and then was destroyed when their demands were met will now decide that actually

00:17:15.120 body cams aren't so great after all they'll say that body cams are a tool of white supremacy

00:17:20.120 in fact if you think i'm exaggerating uh well that's already happening it's already starting

00:17:27.260 to happen we're seeing this shift in real time last summer for example the yale journal of law

00:17:33.340 and liberation published an article that discusses all the problems that are supposedly caused by

00:17:37.920 police body cams and here's how an outlet called prism wrote up uh wrote about yale's findings quote

00:17:43.640 the promises made by proponents of body cameras don't always align closely with the data on their

00:17:49.260 efficacy or the degree to which they actually increase public transparency in the u.s the number

00:17:54.060 of civilians whom police have killed annually has only increased each year since the widespread adoption

00:17:59.240 of body camera equipment so let's sort through this their first contention is that police body cams

00:18:05.980 are not working because they haven't decreased the number of police shootings but that's not the point

00:18:11.300 of police body cams the point of the cameras for the most part is to determine whether police officers

00:18:18.560 are justified in using force when they choose to do so body cams can't mind control the population

00:18:25.380 and force them to stop attacking police officers what's happening here is that at yale long ago

00:18:30.960 they came to the conclusion that the police must be shooting black people for no reason and therefore

00:18:37.080 they determined that the number of police shootings would inevitably decline once police officers were

00:18:42.140 recorded while they were on the job and now that the number of police shootings has not declined

00:18:46.860 they're not revisiting their flawed premise they're not going back and checking whether the police were

00:18:52.000 ever actually shooting black people for no reason they're also not even claiming that police officers

00:18:56.480 are indeed shooting people for no reason because they know the body cams would disprove that claim

00:19:00.660 so instead they're attacking body cams which until very recently they not only supported but demanded

00:19:06.740 so let's read on from this prism article because it gets worse as it goes quote with body cameras law

00:19:12.920 enforcement agencies could expand their surveillance capacity mitigate police brutality lawsuits create

00:19:18.220 highly controllable evidence against the largely poor largely black citizens of whom police often

00:19:23.420 seek the cap to capture footage and quell social unrest by creating comprehensive digital archives of

00:19:29.300 attendees at protests for social change a 2016 george mason university study of prosecutors offices

00:19:34.800 across the u.s jurisdictions with body cameras found that just 8.3 percent had used the footage to

00:19:41.340 prosecute a police officer while 92.6 percent has used it to prosecute private individuals close quote

00:19:47.760 again there's nothing unusual about this statistic of course body cams are going to be used in the vast

00:19:54.180 majority of cases to prosecute people who are not police officers that's completely consistent with the outcome

00:20:00.700 you would expect i mean what did they think would happen that 50 percent of body camera footage would be used to

00:20:05.920 prosecute police how deluded do you have to be to think that half the police force is committing crimes

00:20:12.240 with their body cams on and by the way notice what they're not saying with this paragraph they're not

00:20:19.140 claiming that these prosecutions of largely poor largely black citizens are unjust or unlawful

00:20:25.520 they're not claiming that the police are making up charges or anything like that they can't make that claim

00:20:31.940 because it's all on camera we can see it instead they're simply concerned with the outcomes

00:20:36.820 they don't want black people to go to prison even when they commit crimes and so now rather than address the

00:20:42.780 obvious and persistent problems in black neighborhoods and black families they want to get rid of the cameras 1.00

00:20:47.080 i mean it's the same reason you'll you'll you'll find a bunch of hot takes about why ring doorbell cameras are

00:20:52.540 dystopian because you know people who want to commit crimes don't like it when when they're on camera doing it

00:20:58.520 but at this point it's too late blm's body cam gamble has clearly failed and everybody understands

00:21:05.220 why it turns out that like every other radical left-wing protest movement in history blm was a

00:21:12.400 little too quick uh and careless with their demands they were reckless and in the end all they

00:21:18.700 accomplished was proving beyond any doubt what reasonable people already knew which is that the police

00:23:05.700 fitter well big news yesterday the daily wire reports the united kingdom's highest court ruled

00:23:10.800 wednesday that the legal definition of woman is based on biology and does not include trans identifying

00:23:16.360 men who say they're women in the landmark judgment the british supreme court ruled that the meaning of

00:23:21.020 woman in equality legislation is a biological woman and biological sex and the concept of sex is binary

00:23:27.520 the person is either a woman or a man this ruling is a watershed moment in britain's shift on gender

00:23:32.880 ideology which has faced a referendum in europe in recent years especially as the harms of transgender

00:23:36.760 drugs and procedures on children have come to light and sparked legal challenges um so that's the

00:23:44.940 ruling here is who is this lord hodge of the uk supreme court talking about this ruling

00:23:54.100 the central question on this appeal is the meaning of the terms woman and sex in the equality act

00:24:03.200 2010 do those terms refer to biological women or biological sex or is a woman to be interpreted

00:24:14.240 as extending to a trans woman with a gender recognition certificate by that i mean a person born male

00:24:22.000 who now possesses a gender recognition certificate amending her gender to female and sex to be interpreted

00:24:30.580 as including what i will refer to as certificated sex the unanimous decision of this court is that the

00:24:39.700 terms woman and sex in the equality act 2010 refer to a biological woman and biological sex but we

00:24:50.280 counsel against reading this judgment as a triumph of one or more groups in our society at the expense

00:24:57.540 of another it is not as i shall explain later in this hand down speech the equality act 2010 gives

00:25:06.800 transgender people protection not only against discrimination through the protected characteristic of

00:25:14.720 gender reassignment but also against direct discrimination indirect discrimination and harassment

00:25:22.280 in substance in their acquired gender this is the application of the principle of discrimination

00:25:29.840 by association those statutory protections are available to transgender people whether or not

00:25:38.560 they possess a gender recognition certificate okay so there it is landmark decision a landmark decision

00:25:45.200 which finds that men are not women uh historic legal victory finally setting the quest settling the

00:25:50.420 question of whether men can have babies or not turns out they can't it's of course very sad that it's come

00:25:56.660 to this it's sad that the supreme court had to rule on this subject but um but they did have to rule

00:26:01.740 on it and they came to the right conclusion thank god and although we can we can laugh at the inherent

00:26:07.040 absurdity of all of this it is it is still true that this was a genuinely this was genuinely a landmark

00:26:13.160 decision with historic significance and i very much expect that we're going to have our own trans-related

00:26:19.660 landmark ruling uh from the supreme court in this country in a month or two our supreme court will will

00:26:26.760 rule uh rule on the uh the the tennessee's law banning child castration and i'm you know i'm quite confident

00:26:34.720 that it will rule in our favor and you know for all the justified criticism of amy uh coney barrett

00:26:42.680 i i i i would still be totally shocked if she came down on the side of a child castration on this 1.00

00:26:50.980 and so after that happens in particular the two things together will signal if it was not signaled

00:26:56.540 already the death knell of the trans movement where does the trans movement go from here i mean

00:27:01.460 they're losing in the courts at the highest level they're losing in the state legislatures they're

00:27:04.900 losing at the federal level they're losing in this country they're losing in europe uh most importantly

00:27:10.060 they're losing in the culture in the court of public opinion so they're losing everywhere in every

00:27:15.200 forum on every battlefield it's one loss after another after another and and that's not going to

00:27:20.240 change there's nothing there's i it's it's there's no conceivable way that that tide will change because

00:27:28.640 you know the thing about mass hysteria the thing about uh this kind of mass psychosis that we went

00:27:35.600 through for years in this country is that when it breaks it breaks and you can't really gin it up

00:27:44.520 again you can't the trans activists will not be able to capture that magic again uh that dark magic 0.98

00:27:50.820 of of uh getting everyone to at least pretend like they don't understand the difference between men and

00:27:55.340 women when it breaks it breaks and it's broken the fever has broken so it really becomes a question of uh

00:28:02.860 of what next where do we go from here we're gonna we're gonna have to keep fighting back against the

00:28:07.660 trans agenda it's losing it's not gone though and so it will still be there as something that we have to

00:28:13.140 contend with as long as there's even one child being indoctrinated into this madness or abused or

00:28:19.240 um you know uh physically harmed or mentally harmed by this by this indoctrination as long as that's the

00:28:28.320 case then the fight will continue but from a larger sort of strategic perspective when you look at the

00:28:35.740 kind of the culture war generally what comes next and you know i think the fight moves on

00:28:44.380 it's interesting because the fight moves now in my opinion to take on feminism once and for all and 1.00

00:28:52.600 and that's the next great battle it's it's a battle that's of course been waging for for many years for

00:28:56.920 decades um but it takes center stage because gender ideology is a product of feminism 1.00

00:29:05.720 after all it's an outgrowth of it the feminists were the first to deny the fundamental differences 1.00

00:29:10.700 between the sexes that was them they were the first to say that gender is a social construct that was

00:29:16.220 them uh feminism has always been the underlying sickness with this stuff and it is still the most 1.00

00:29:23.980 destructive ideology in human history 60 million children dead millions of destroyed marriages millions

00:29:28.920 of broken homes uh utter devastation wrought by feminism so that's where we must turn our attention 0.94

00:29:35.200 and this is also why you know there's this there's this debate going on online right now that i'm a

00:29:41.560 part of about uh where where there are some even on the right saying that well you know the feminists 1.00

00:29:49.360 they they really say what you want about them but they really they really get the credit for them

00:29:53.120 they were leading the charge here against the trans ideology and the first thing about that is that

00:29:58.320 in the uk that is true mainly because social conservatives don't exist in the uk they're not

00:30:06.080 there they don't exist they've been driven out of society long ago in the uk so sure in the uk i think 0.83

00:30:12.860 there's no doubt that the feminists led the charge in this country no in this country absolutely not 1.00

00:30:19.120 that is not the case the vast majority of the pushback against gender ideology and especially

00:30:25.560 the most effective pushback against gender ideology in this country without a doubt has been social

00:30:32.980 conservatives um but more importantly the reason why and you know because i i get i get i get a lot i get

00:30:43.300 flack for this they say why why don't you give it why don't you give more credit to the feminists 1.00

00:30:47.300 uh yeah even in the uk well i give credit to anyone who spoke up and did the right thing

00:30:54.480 the reason why i can't give you a ton of credit is that you're part of the movement that created this

00:31:01.780 problem this is your mess this is the monster you made so when you're part of the movement that

00:31:10.120 creates a mess the fact that a few of you stepped up to help clean it up i i don't give you a ton of

00:31:15.660 credit you know you you knock over the milk and spill it on the ground you want me to thank you for

00:31:20.360 cleaning it that's your obligation okay social conservatives we did not create transgenderism 0.67

00:31:28.580 at all we had nothing there is no philosophical through line that you can find that connects

00:31:35.760 social conservatism to gender ideology we've been opposed to it at a fundamental level since forever

00:31:43.900 okay so when we get involved to clean it up this is not our mess we did not do this

00:31:50.280 feminism did this this is rooted in feminism as i said they who were the ones who stepped up 0.99

00:31:59.800 decades ago to say that you know the difference between men and women there really isn't not much

00:32:03.560 of a difference who are the ones who who decided that you know the male brain and female brain that

00:32:09.820 doesn't really exist who are the ones who said well women could do all the things that men can do

00:32:14.300 there's really no difference between the sexes who said that for decades and decades if you heard

00:32:19.660 someone talking about gender as a social construct who was it that was saying it so um you know it is

00:32:28.460 kind of funny because in the fight against gender ideology it required us to join forces with left-wing

00:32:33.900 feminists some of them a small minority still that's the other thing like the vast majority of 1.00

00:32:38.940 feminists the vast 95 of them were were pushing this stuff explicitly the whole time um but it is 1.00

00:32:49.320 it's a bit like everyone likes world war ii analogies these days so maybe it's a bit like the u.s being

00:32:54.180 allies with the soviets in world war ii uh strategic alliance but as soon as that was over well now you

00:33:00.700 got to deal with the soviet union and and uh and that became the great international conflict for the

00:33:05.180 next 40 or 50 years and i i think that there's a kind of a similar situation here and this is not

00:33:10.440 some random thing i'm not saying that now we've defeated the trans agenda so we have to kind of

00:33:14.260 randomly look for some other group to fight with to spend our to you know we have to we have to

00:33:19.060 occupy ourselves by finding some other group to fight with i'm saying that the fight against the

00:33:24.200 trans agenda naturally leads us to this because what is the ultimate goal what is our ultimate goal

00:33:28.780 as conservatives anyway our ultimate goal is not is not just to establish that women don't have 0.99

00:33:34.540 penises okay that that's that's an important thing that we have to establish it's unfortunate we did but 0.52

00:33:40.520 that we had to ever establish it but but it was we did have to and we have that's not the ultimate goal

00:33:47.460 though um it's not just to establish that a man in a dress isn't a woman no the ultimate goal is to

00:33:54.640 defend civilization it's to defend and that means defending the family defending marriage and feminism 0.95

00:34:00.760 is the greatest enemy that the family and marriage have ever faced in history um and so that is why

00:34:08.880 the the the fight um moves there and by the way a lot of the left-wing feminists the the turfs so-called 1.00

00:34:16.480 uh have known this have noticed this a long time ago uh which is why you know when i say that that

00:34:22.840 we had to kind of align ourselves with some of these feminists it was really only one-sided i mean 1.00

00:34:29.080 the the left-wing feminists the turfs from the very beginning had wanted nothing to do with me 1.00

00:34:33.560 excommunicated me um you know jk rowling infamously a couple of years ago uh after mentioning that she

00:34:40.680 liked my film she felt the need to come out and disavow me and say never mind he's a horrible guy

00:34:44.640 um so they because they've always known in a way it's like i can't i can't i don't really blame you

00:34:50.200 because we are not ideological friends actually like we agree that that men can't have babies we do 0.98

00:34:56.820 agree on that but that's it we we don't agree on anything else and so um this is where the uh

00:35:06.400 this is where the battle turns all right let's see here

00:35:11.380 so here's um

00:35:15.720 it's time to return to a topic that always makes people mad and uh and i don't really care

00:35:23.880 in fact this is there's one there's a few topics that when i bring when i bring them up

00:35:29.500 i'm pretty much guaranteed to lose subscribers it's a it's a total subscriber it's a net loss

00:35:34.920 uh and uh but i'm gonna talk about it anyway because i really don't care in fact every time

00:35:43.980 i talk about this there's always people that i'm unsubscribing i've had enough of this well go ahead

00:35:47.520 and unsubscribe honestly like go ahead fine i'm okay with that because i am so tired of these stories

00:35:55.280 that we're about to talk about i am so sick of it and i and i at this point have so much anger for the

00:36:02.440 people who refuse to face the reality on this issue that we're going to discuss that anyone in that

00:36:10.360 category this is i'm not going to listen anymore i'm unsubscribing okay good go ahead i don't care

00:36:15.980 um so that brings us to the latest pitbull victim let's uh watch the news report he could have killed

00:36:27.280 me if no one was out there nine-year-old daniela schlaw has hundreds of stitches and staples in her 1.00

00:36:32.680 head and nearly lost an eye and ear and it pulled me down to the ground and it wouldn't let go

00:36:37.920 physically shaking my head right here then he let go for a second and started doing it on my head up here

00:36:43.780 locked onto her and wouldn't let go and my husband jumped on top of the dog i jumped on his back and

00:36:49.980 i just held his neck down and my other daughter pulled his legs up its owner eventually pulled the 1.00

00:36:56.580 dog away telling the family the pitbull got out a back door there is no backyard fence the dog was

00:37:03.140 been known to easily just open the latch in the back door and then escape which he has done numerous

00:37:07.960 times before daniela suffered a concussion head foot and hand wounds part of her ear had to 1.00

00:37:13.740 be reattached she's recovering but traumatized the family believes the dog is still next door

00:37:19.200 the owner was issued a summons for an unlicensed dog must get a dog license and quarantine the dog

00:37:25.200 for 10 days to determine its rabies status it feels like that the dog who attacked my sister has more

00:37:31.220 rights and than she does right now the dog owner could not be reached for comment the schlaw family

00:37:36.560 has filed a dangerous dog application claiming it recently chased a child and has viciously

00:37:42.460 approached their front door i want the dog to be removed from the home because we're afraid to

00:37:47.820 go outside of our house because the dog is still unrestrained and it can escape and attack someone

00:37:53.960 else he's in the house that he escaped from and this whole neighborhood is filled with kids

00:38:00.480 dangerous dog applications are heard by a judge within five days of filing a judge can order a dog

00:38:06.660 restrained removed or even humanely euthanized uh this story just gets more infuriating as it goes on

00:38:14.060 it's baffling it is baffling uh this dog mauls a child almost kills her and then is allowed to return

00:38:25.020 to the home next door and now the family has to file a dangerous dog application and present it to a

00:38:32.360 judge the dog mauled the child's face isn't that enough of an application i gotta fill out an

00:38:38.780 application uh look at my daughter we had to reattach her ear okay what do you mean what am i

00:38:46.640 applying for why is it up to this family that just suffered this trauma to go through and jump through 1.00

00:38:53.700 these hoops to get that damn stupid dog out of the house can you imagine can you imagine this 1.00

00:39:00.440 your dog your daughter is almost killed by a dog and that night that dog is back home next door 1.00

00:39:07.300 how do you leave your house the freaking stupid dog can escape at any time and kill someone i mean 1.00

00:39:15.360 this is not it's not like you're exaggerating for the family to say they're afraid to leave the home 1.00

00:39:21.300 that is not panicked that is not hysterical that's not an exaggeration it's not hyperbole

00:39:28.040 they yes i would feel exactly the same way that dog is capable of killing especially a child but

00:39:36.420 even a full-grown man and it can escape any time and do exactly that so yes i would also feel just

00:39:42.760 that way um that dog should have been pulled off the girl taken into the backyard and shot on the spot 0.75

00:39:49.360 if i was the father in this scenario i i don't i don't i don't i'm not advocating violence or anything

00:39:55.280 illegal i'm just saying that i don't think i would be able to wait for the courts to figure out whether

00:40:00.980 this dog is allowed to continue to live um i think i would be tempted to go over there and just

00:40:07.220 take care of the problem myself so we need to be done with this whole pitbull thing 1.00

00:40:14.040 you know the idea that like an entire neighborhood can be held hostage because some dumbass wants to have 0.97

00:40:22.480 a pitbull is just crazy it is crazy okay your desire to have a pitbull does not supersede the 0.99

00:40:29.260 right of everyone in your neighborhood to not have their children mauled to death okay my interest as a

00:40:35.180 as a as a as a parent and an american citizen my interest in keeping my children safe from being

00:40:41.420 mauled to death is more important and supersedes your interest in having a dog that you think is cute

00:40:48.860 okay i i'm so sick of these absolutely brain dead arguments you hear from pitbull apologists i'm so 0.91

00:40:55.560 sick of they say oh you know but poodle poodles bite more people than pitbulls do that's not the point 0.99

00:41:01.980 you morons the point is that pitbulls are uniquely equipped to cause maximum damage in a way that poodles 0.99

00:41:08.920 are not which is why they're responsible for the vast majority of fatal dog attacks the point is that 1.00

00:41:14.600 these dogs are aggressive by nature and built to inflict maximum carnage by nature that's the point

00:41:20.960 the chance that that a poodle mauls a child to death is basically zero the chance that your pitbull

00:41:27.540 mauls your neighbor's child to death is a lot more than zero okay and and then and then they say oh well

00:41:35.180 it's not the breed it's the owner it's not the breed it's the owner it's it's the same it's the same

00:41:39.140 two arguments over and over again from these people it's so but poodles bite more that's the first one

00:41:44.460 it's not the breed it's the owner it's the owner it's the owner no it's both okay it's actually both

00:41:49.100 the breed is naturally aggressive that is a fact it's uniquely dangerous that is a fact both those

00:41:54.600 things are facts you you can yell at the fact all you want you can get mad at me but it's a fact

00:41:58.840 both of those things are just simply facts and also also on top of that the owners are often 0.99

00:42:04.800 reckless stupid low-class cretins and and and that is not a mark in favor of pitbulls okay because there 1.00

00:42:11.160 is no way to prevent reckless stupid low-class cretins from uh from getting these dogs so so when you 1.00

00:42:18.240 say it's the owner okay well that doesn't solve the problem now does it you know there is no way to 1.00

00:42:25.160 prevent even if you require licenses or whatever reckless stupid people can still get them you can be 1.00

00:42:30.700 reckless and stupid and go through whatever hoop you got to go through to get a license to buy a dog 1.00

00:42:34.720 the whole problem is that mature intelligent adults who place an appropriate amount of value 1.00

00:42:41.660 on the safety of their families and the families of their neighbors would never own a pitbull in the

00:42:46.340 first place so exactly the kinds of people who you'd want who would be like the safest own a pitbull

00:42:53.940 are the kinds of people who would never own one in the first place and so that's the the only people

00:42:59.920 who would ever own a pitbull are the kinds of people who are willing to take that kind of risk

00:43:03.820 with their own children and the the the children of their of their community and so by definition

00:43:10.400 these these people are uh not going to be good owners so even if you do blame the owner the

00:43:16.640 conclusion is the same if a pitbull moves in next door the fate of my children should not hinge on

00:43:24.840 whether that pitbull owner is an extremely skilled pitbull owner or not the fate of my children should

00:43:30.980 not hinge on like the skill and talent of this pitbull owner and on the the mood of the pitbull

00:43:38.360 okay if somebody moves in next door with a golden retriever i don't need to worry that much about how

00:43:45.780 good or bad the owner is i mean it could be the worst golden retriever owner on the planet and even

00:43:51.340 then the chances that this that this golden retriever will will present any kind of real serious

00:43:57.600 lethal threat to my family is very very very very small um but with pitbulls it's not like that

00:44:04.500 you know if the dog requires this kind of high level incredibly careful and attentive ownership

00:44:10.720 as if you own a lion or a bear or something then that's all the more reason why they shouldn't be

00:44:15.900 allowed in neighborhoods um so you know i i shouldn't have to rely on on on the fact that the

00:44:23.520 the guy next door who owns the pitbull is like steve erwin in his skill and expertise in dealing

00:44:29.740 with dangerous animals i shouldn't have to rely on that and um so this this whole this whole conversation

00:44:36.660 should be unnecessary the pitbull defenders have no argument they just you just i'm sorry you have no

00:44:41.280 argument you people have no argument i mean the argument on the other side the argument on the other

00:44:46.600 side is that these dogs are mauling children in hugely disproportionate numbers and that they are

00:44:54.060 uniquely biologically inclined to behave that way and specially equipped to to inflict maximum damage

00:44:59.460 when they do behave that way that's the art that's our that's our argument okay it's like a pretty strong

00:45:04.140 argument it's pretty strong and and we've got a lot of evidence we have a lot of evidence that we can

00:45:12.700 bring to bear about the danger that these animals present to communities the argument on the other

00:45:18.860 side is really just that they think pitbulls are cute and they want to be able to own them that's

00:45:26.220 really all it comes down to and nobody's ever come up with any reason why they need to own a pitbull

00:45:32.160 why do you need to own one i get that you want one like i can i can explain to you why i need

00:45:40.000 to be sure that there are no animals in my community that could maul my children to death

00:45:47.540 there are no that there are no supposedly domesticated animals being intentionally brought

00:45:52.400 into my neighborhood that could maul my children to death i can explain to you why i need that that's

00:45:56.880 a need that i have as a parent right you cannot explain why you need to own a pitbull in the first

00:46:05.640 place of all the dog breeds why that one why can't you just own any other dog why can't we rule out that

00:46:16.580 one and a couple other breeds that again are uniquely dangerous and that still leaves you

00:46:22.880 dozens and dozens of breeds in endless supply of other dogs that you can own and nobody will object

00:46:32.340 uh and yet this is the uh this is the hill i was going to say this is the hill that pitbull owners

00:46:41.760 want to die on the problem is that they're not the ones dying on it really though sometimes they are

00:46:45.700 but no this is the hill that they want our kids to die on potentially that's the hill that you want

00:46:50.940 that little girl to to to die on potentially is so that you can own a pitbull i just find it 1.00

00:46:56.940 oh man it's uh it is just infuriating so bring on the hate comments bring them on bring them on with 1.00

00:47:07.020 your dumb stupid arguments uh i welcome them i really do some companies can't define what a man 1.00

00:47:56.680 our daily cancellation today begins with a sports reporter by the name of wiley ballard wiley ballard

00:48:06.080 covers the atlanta braves he also has a great name for a reporter or a private detective with a name

00:48:11.280 like that but that's neither here nor there ballard provoked outrage and drew backlash as yahoo sports

00:48:16.220 describes it because of his behavior during a braves broadcast this past monday nbc news one of the

00:48:22.800 dozens of other outlets to report on this national scandal describe this incident involving ballard as

00:48:28.280 gross and unprofessional and so you might start to imagine what kinds of things a sideline reporter

00:48:35.260 might do during a baseball game that would upset people this much did he show up drunk did he use

00:48:40.300 profanity on air did he assault someone whatever he did at least he apparently managed to make a

00:48:45.860 baseball broadcast slightly interesting which is almost impossible to do so we know we have to give

00:48:49.960 some credit for that but what sort of outrageous behavior did he exhibit exactly female sports 0.98

00:48:55.500 reporter kate feldman describes the incident as one of the most insanely inappropriate things

00:49:00.160 she's ever witnessed in her life and many women on social media have agreed so what was it exactly

00:49:07.540 well with all that build up get ready to be shocked and appalled

00:49:12.620 who do we got here what's your name my name's lauren lauren's all right and i'm kayla kayla and

00:49:19.420 you guys hang out the rooftop lounge often um once a year i come out to visit okay well we timed it

00:49:25.160 pretty well all right good how are you guys feeling for the braves today oh i don't know i'm i'm hoping

00:49:31.060 for the best what about you are you braves fan now not quite not quite all right i'm gonna i'm gonna go

00:49:36.860 to work up here guys uh good luck the rest of the way okay wiley you got five innings four innings

00:49:42.360 to get the numbers i'm on it i'm on it get us some more braves fans all right so they want me to get

00:49:49.820 your number they want you to get my number that's i'm dead serious they're saying to my ear right now

00:49:55.260 she doesn't believe me because she thinks you guys are are are not making this up even if you guys

00:50:00.240 weren't i might use that in the future that's a pretty actually pretty good move this this is

00:50:04.940 unbelievable so the best part of this right now is that wiley could totally be faking it this might

00:50:09.480 be the new move just walk around with a fan duel microphone and an earpiece in and convince fans

00:50:14.360 that they're actually on tv i should have thought of this years ago i i i am speechless i i got the

00:50:22.500 number we're good okay so that was it uh now i know you were waiting for the part where he does

00:50:27.940 the insanely inappropriate thing that was promised but it it never happens uh that that was the whole

00:50:33.600 video now that was the incident that attracted national media coverage and hundreds of outraged

00:50:38.180 comments he asked for a woman's phone number and that was just just to be totally clear an adult man

00:50:44.400 asking for an adult woman's phone number as far as we know both are single neither are married which

00:50:50.700 makes this perhaps the least scandalous thing that has ever been aired on television in fact in a saner

00:50:55.920 time we would all agree that not only was this totally inoffensive and and benign this was a charming

00:51:02.060 moment between two people and in fact if they start dating and eventually get married they'll have one

00:51:06.480 of the great how we met moments of all time you know so it's so it's great but we don't live in sane

00:51:12.740 time so instead uh this this moment has become a point of controversy here's yahoo sports trying

00:51:18.900 desperately to find some reason to be disturbed by this normal heterosexual behavior uh quote there are

00:51:26.460 some uncomfortable power dynamics at play throughout the entire segment ballard whether intentionally or

00:51:31.120 not used his platform for personal reasons while the broadcast booth of godden and cj nitkowski

00:51:36.680 encouraged him the fact that cameras were involved and that lauren could hear only one part of the

00:51:40.780 conversation added to those issues at the very least it was unprofessional on the part of all three

00:51:45.080 amount of the broadcast there are far more unsavory reads on the interaction which could be viewed

00:51:49.540 as creepy gross and inappropriate i feel neat i need to remind you again that the thing this article

00:51:56.920 describes as creepy gross and inappropriate is a man asking for a woman's phone number and of course

00:52:03.280 this delusional interpretation of the event is couched in concerns about power dynamics this is one of

00:52:09.920 the uh many uh horrendous innovations of the me too movement is that now any attempt by a man to speak

00:52:18.160 to or form a connection with a woman can magically become abusive and creepy if you just shout the

00:52:25.160 phrase power imbalance at it because of course when you think of a tyrannical despot lording his power

00:52:31.420 over a helpless young woman you immediately imagine the atlanta brave sideline reporter you know the guy

00:52:37.280 that probably makes like eighty thousand dollars a year is exploiting a power imbalance somehow never mind

00:52:43.840 the fact that the young lady is smiling laughing appears to offer up her phone number with

00:52:48.100 no hesitation and a great deal of enthusiasm still this is she didn't have power she was forced to do

00:52:54.760 it every day i find another reason to be grateful that i'm not single and um here's another reason

00:53:00.960 you know this is reason number 1552 or wherever we are on the list as if it isn't already difficult

00:53:06.900 enough on the dating scene this kind of bizarre weirdly like puritanical nonsense only adds to the 0.76

00:53:14.960 challenge i mean how are men and women supposed to meet if any man who approaches a woman is

00:53:21.140 automatically a creep and and when it comes to power imbalances isn't there always a power imbalance

00:53:27.920 given that men are bigger and stronger than women so at any time if you're like a normal guy 1.00

00:53:34.340 and you're trying to talk to a woman there's always going to be a power imbalance does that 1.00

00:53:41.960 make it inherently abusive for a man to ask out a woman under any circumstance or or should the

00:53:48.260 dating scene consist only of frail small broke men dating large muscular wealthy women now of course

00:53:58.140 the problem is that women whether they're large or not don't really want those kinds of men the 1.00

00:54:03.500 power imbalance is precisely what women are looking for you know a man's like bigger and stronger 1.00

00:54:08.400 very often i think women don't mind if the man also has more money than them so that so-called

00:54:15.380 power imbalance is exactly what makes the man attractive to the woman in the first place so 0.90

00:54:20.480 this is what makes it totally impossible and uh and because the power imbalance also makes a man

00:54:25.500 automatically predatory if attempts to date a woman so the whole thing is incoherent and insane

00:54:29.840 and all a young man can do in the face of this is ignore the noise and just trust that most women

00:54:36.280 are not the type to think that he's a creep for being heterosexual which is true by the way that

00:54:41.840 most women aren't like that so that's that's that's the saving grace here but that was only one of the 1.00

00:54:47.100 criticisms levied at this guy for asking for a woman's number there were also a large number of

00:54:52.040 female sports reporters claiming that the moment somehow represented some kind of double standard 1.00

00:54:57.980 some kind of sexist double standard reading just a few of these comments quote imagine if a female 1.00

00:55:03.340 reporter did anything like that career over pretty brutal to see it glorified by the broadcast

00:55:07.980 uh and another one says here's the thing i don't ever really comment on stuff like this but glorifying

00:55:13.140 this moment is not okay if this were a female reporter people would call it unprofessional but 1.00

00:55:18.120 it's a male reporter which means people will find it funny and tweet about how great this is

00:55:21.860 another one says imagine the tone of the conversation around this had the genders been reversed 0.95

00:55:26.300 and so on and so on and so on and there are also think pieces written in the local uh newspaper about

00:55:34.140 about this making the same point about how it's a power imbalance lots of female sports reporters 1.00

00:55:38.940 claiming that ballard benefits from this uh rather this double standard and if a female reporter did the 0.99

00:55:45.220 same thing they're saying she would be criticized so that's the double standard but the problem with this

00:55:53.320 claim is that first of all a male reporter did do this and he was criticized so when you say well

00:56:02.580 imagine if a female reporter did this she would be criticized well yes and that's exactly what's 1.00

00:56:07.800 happening to this guy you're doing it so it's it's that is happening there's no double standard here

00:56:13.460 he's being treated exactly as you claim a female reporter would be treated the criticism you're

00:56:19.820 imagining is actually happening this moment was in fact treated like a scandal of national importance

00:56:25.960 so the double standard claim falls apart before it gets off the ground in fact of course we know in

00:56:32.020 reality the double standard goes exactly the other way because i don't know about you but i have never

00:56:41.020 in my life heard of a woman being labeled creepy gross and predatory for asking for a man's number 1.00

00:56:48.540 have you ever heard of that have you ever heard that description used but about a woman for 1.00

00:56:56.240 approaching a man i have never heard at one time in literally every case where there's a controversy

00:57:02.640 over somebody harmlessly hitting on somebody else or asking them out it is always the man as the focus

00:57:09.120 of the outrage i cannot think of a single exception so these women are correct there is a double standard 0.99

00:57:16.880 but it's a double standard that they benefit from and that is ultimately why everybody expressing any

00:57:24.160 kind of outrage at a straight man for engaging in totally normal and healthy heterosexual male behavior

00:57:29.760 is today canceled that'll do it for the show today thanks for watching thanks for listening talk to you

00:57:35.100 tomorrow have a great day godspeed

00:57:36.860 you
