00:00:00.000 Today on the Matt Walsh Show, major controversy over a viral video of a woman using a racial slur

00:00:27.560 Catholic Church. What's that all about? We'll talk about all that and more today on the Matt Walsh Show.

00:02:10.380 By now, you may have heard the name Shiloh Hendricks. Up until last week, no one outside of her friends
00:02:16.240 and personal acquaintances knew she existed. Now she's at the center of one of the more intense
00:02:21.400 social media controversies that we've seen in recent years. And it all began in the late afternoon
00:02:26.100 on April 28th, when the woman we now know as Shiloh Hendricks took her young child to a park in
00:02:31.820 Rochester, Minnesota. And at some point, a black child, reportedly five years old, tried to steal
00:02:38.040 something from her diaper bag. Shiloh apparently responded in anger. And as the story goes, she called
00:02:44.380 the boy the N-word. Now, a man named Sharmaki Omar, a Somali immigrant and not the boy's father,
00:02:51.000 allegedly witnessed this altercation and decided to pull out his phone. And the resulting video has
00:02:55.340 gone extremely viral across every major social media platform. Here it is.
00:03:01.580 You call him a n***a child? Did you call the child a n***a word? It is my own business. You call him a n***a?
00:03:09.080 Okay, why don't you have the boss to say it right now again?
00:03:13.020 F*** you n***a.
00:03:14.420 Okay. F***. All right, that's what you say.
00:03:18.900 He'll go digging through people s***. F***. Nobody dig into your s***.
00:03:22.900 A little f***ing kid just did, you dumbass.
00:03:24.860 That little kid, you call him a n***a? The little child?
00:03:28.080 What if he acts like one is gonna...
00:03:29.460 Are you about to hit him? You chase him here?
00:03:31.300 He took my son's stuff.
00:03:33.260 So that gives you the right to call a child five-year-old and f*** the n***a word?
00:03:37.500 If that's what he's gonna act like.
00:03:38.480 That's what you're gonna call him?
00:03:39.600 If that's what he's gonna act like.
00:03:41.400 You know, that's a hate speech. And you can be recorded for that.
00:03:44.460 I don't give a s***.
00:03:45.720 Huh.
00:03:47.760 F***. Okay, we'll see about that, what the internet has to say about you.
00:03:50.700 Now, before we continue with this story, which takes several more twists and turns,
00:03:54.520 we should note a few things. First of all, we don't actually know for sure that the boy is five years old.
00:04:00.180 That's coming from the man filming, who is apparently not related to the child.
00:04:03.500 In the video, we appear to get a glimpse of the kid.
00:04:05.880 And from the glimpse, anyway, he definitely looks older than five.
00:04:10.480 Omar has additionally claimed that the boy is autistic, which we also have no proof of.
00:04:14.540 And we have no footage of the actual encounter between the kid and this woman.
00:04:18.380 Did she scream the n-word in his face?
00:04:20.280 Did she mutter it under her breath?
00:04:22.620 Did she say it about the child after he'd already run away?
00:04:25.760 We don't know.
00:04:26.500 And as far as I've seen, we haven't heard anything from the boy's parents.
00:04:31.580 We don't know where they were in all of this, if they were even there, which is very strange.
00:04:37.120 So there are many aspects of this story that are bizarre and unconfirmed.
00:04:42.340 And here's another disturbing detail.
00:04:44.060 The Somali man behind the camera, Omar, was charged a couple of years ago with sexually assaulting a minor.
00:04:49.340 And according to the local news channel, KTTC, those charges were dismissed.
00:04:54.060 A separate report by the local ABC affiliate adds that the charges were dismissed, quote,
00:04:58.480 in the interest of justice, whatever the hell that means.
00:05:01.620 But whatever it means, now Omar, who was previously charged with a sexually assaulting a minor,
00:05:07.960 is at a playground with his camera out filming.
00:05:10.920 So make of all of that what you will.
00:05:13.160 So there are quite a few details that still need to be filled in here, but the saga continues anyway.
00:05:19.400 Anyway, what happened next is quite predictable.
00:05:22.780 The social media mob went to work.
00:05:24.520 They set out to identify this, at the time, anonymous woman and ruin her life or worse.
00:05:30.280 Here's one of the guys who got things kicked off.
00:05:33.240 Watch.
00:05:34.420 God help us.
00:05:35.480 She claims that that other child took her son's belongings.
00:05:38.160 That's what kicked this off.
00:05:39.640 The guy who recorded the video is familiar with the other child.
00:05:42.160 When he brings his children there, that child and his siblings are often there and play together.
00:05:47.980 The kid she's going after has autism.
00:05:52.040 He doesn't behave in a neurotypical way.
00:05:54.220 And even if he didn't have autism, nothing he could have done would justify her calling him slurs
00:05:59.700 and pursuing him physically, which is what she says she was doing before this guy intervened.
00:06:04.460 He said after he stopped recording, she sat down, hurled more slurs,
00:06:08.320 told him and his wife that they should leave the country.
00:06:10.420 And then got on the phone and acted like she was calling someone to come down there and handle things.
00:06:17.940 Fortunately, no one came.
00:06:19.640 And eventually she packed up her child and left.
00:06:22.140 But this woman is a danger to children.
00:06:25.600 She doesn't need to be on a playground or around other kids.
00:06:28.260 And she has at least one child of her own, which is also concerning.
00:06:33.220 So Rochester, Minnesota, someone do me a favor.
00:06:35.520 Take a close look at her tattoos.
00:06:38.340 You can see her face clearly.
00:06:39.860 Someone please tell me who she is.
00:06:43.880 Okay, so she's a danger to children.
00:06:47.280 She shouldn't be allowed at playgrounds.
00:06:49.700 She shouldn't be allowed at playgrounds.
00:06:51.460 Not the guy that was charged with sexually assaulting a minor.
00:06:55.180 But he says, please, Internet, find her.
00:06:57.380 And countless others joined in.
00:06:58.800 And in some cases, they were calling for the woman to be imprisoned for saying a bad word.
00:07:04.400 Watch.
00:07:05.980 Share, share, share.
00:07:07.340 Trying to find the woman who called the little boy the N-word, the five-year-old little boy, artistic boy.
00:07:13.920 She needs to be found and locked up.
00:07:16.060 So please tap in.
00:07:18.500 Now, there are many other videos of people hoping that she would be found and physically assaulted or killed.
00:07:23.800 Some were even threatening violence against her baby that you can see in the video.
00:07:29.600 Here's one example.
00:07:31.380 You said, hey, TikTok, I just got a real quick question.
00:07:33.960 So we all know what happened with Shiloh Hendricks and how she got all this money, right?
00:07:38.720 Off to all the wrong reasons.
00:07:40.560 But you know what?
00:07:41.640 It is what it is at this point, right?
00:07:43.820 So I'm just sitting here thinking, what about the baby?
00:07:47.440 What about the baby?
00:07:48.840 Because technically, that baby is going to grow up and be part of the triple K.
00:07:52.880 That baby might grow up to be Hitler.
00:07:55.100 That baby is going to grow up and probably be the worst of the worst out there in the world.
00:07:58.860 And you know what?
00:07:59.560 I don't want that baby policing children that look like me.
00:08:01.860 I don't want that baby growing up doing anything else to people that look like me.
00:08:06.320 All because it was taught that.
00:08:08.680 But since, unfortunately, CPS is not going to be able to do nothing, what should we do?
00:08:13.360 I think you guys should let me know in the comments.
00:08:15.040 Because part of my thinking was, start a GoFundMe.
00:08:18.840 You know, raise about a million dollars.
00:08:20.640 Go slap the hell out of that baby.
00:08:22.020 Make that baby brainless or something for a while.
00:08:24.000 At least you still get to live.
00:08:25.100 I mean, it just might be a little, you know, but hey, that's what happens when you grow
00:08:29.980 up with racist ass parents.
00:08:31.480 You got to eat their consequences.
00:08:35.660 Now, I would say that encouraging people to beat a baby unconscious is worse than saying
00:08:41.040 a bad word to a child, a lot worse.
00:08:43.420 And yet there's no mob forming against that guy or the dozens of other people who hit like
00:08:48.640 on that video.
00:08:49.340 So this is all unfolded as you would expect up to this point, leading to the predictable
00:08:53.600 news that the Rochester Police Department is now actively investigating the woman.
00:08:57.860 And others began calling for CPS to get involved and remove her child from the home.
00:09:01.180 For example, there's a guy we'll put up on the screen who wrote a letter to CPS, which
00:09:04.920 he published on his website, claiming again that Shiloh is a danger to her own child and
00:09:09.040 that the child should be taken out of the home.
00:09:11.200 And pretty soon, with thousands upon thousands of people whipped into a pitchfork mob, she had
00:09:16.040 been identified by name.
00:09:17.140 But not just her name, her phone number was posted all over the internet, her address,
00:09:21.000 her social security number, her alleged places of employment.
00:09:24.620 People were calling her phone and making death threats and then bragging about it openly.
00:09:28.940 Again, so far this story is following the script that we all know by heart.
00:09:34.620 A random person is caught on camera doing something rude or offensive.
00:09:38.640 The video is posted by some third party, usually somebody who wasn't even involved in the incident.
00:09:43.480 And then thousands of sociopaths set out to destroy the person's life and possibly
00:09:46.940 get them killed, all for sport, as a form of sadistic entertainment.
00:09:51.940 Nobody stops to think about the consequences.
00:09:55.200 There's no consideration of proportionality.
00:09:58.320 Saying the N-word to a child in a moment of anger is bad.
00:10:01.800 Is it so bad that it warrants the total and permanent destruction of a person's life?
00:10:06.500 Is it so bad that they deserve to have their physical safety and the safety of their family
00:10:09.980 put in jeopardy?
00:10:11.440 Is it so bad that they deserve to have their child assaulted?
00:10:14.160 Is it that kind of bad?
00:10:15.960 Now to the social media mob, the answer is always yes.
00:10:19.620 It's always yes, that is, provided that the offending stranger fits certain parameters.
00:10:23.700 And the most important parameter is that the person, the offender, is white.
00:10:28.960 And we all know how this script ends.
00:10:30.720 The offender, in a desperate attempt to call off the dogs,
00:10:33.500 tearfully apologizes and begs for mercy, a mercy that they surely will not receive.
00:10:37.900 But that is where the M. Night Shyamalan twist ending comes into play.
00:10:44.240 Because Shiloh Hendricks did not apologize.
00:10:46.720 Instead, she posted a crowdfunding campaign on Give, Send, Go,
00:10:49.820 where she doubled down and defended her actions
00:10:52.460 and asked for help to relocate and get her family to safety.
00:10:56.780 And then a double twist.
00:10:58.340 A different group formed to counter the outrage mob.
00:11:02.400 They started donating to her campaign.
00:11:04.140 And she surpassed her original funding goal in less than a day.
00:11:07.720 Within three days, she had earned over half a million dollars.
00:11:10.240 Now she's somewhere north of $600,000.
00:11:13.740 So the woman who was supposed to have her life ruined by the mob
00:11:16.460 is instead on her way to potentially becoming a millionaire.
00:11:21.720 Now, this twist, as you can imagine, has outraged the outrage mob even more.
00:11:26.780 But a large number of prominent people on the right are also horrified by this turn of events.
00:11:32.040 Just as one example, Colin Wright tweeted,
00:11:34.800 The woke right is now mirroring the woke left's tendency to glorify and martyr immoral degenerates
00:11:39.600 solely based on shared racial identity.
00:11:42.520 This woke one-upmanship is a race to the very bottom.
00:11:46.300 Many conservative influencers and commentators, many of them who I like and respect,
00:11:51.340 have echoed this sentiment.
00:11:52.680 They say that, you know, the people donating to this woman are behaving no better than the left.
00:11:57.420 They say that this is the right's version of the Carmelo Anthony fundraiser
00:12:00.720 that also raised half a million dollars, even though he stabbed somebody to death,
00:12:04.380 which I hope we can agree is far, far worse than saying a bad word.
00:12:08.880 Some have even speculated that this whole thing is some kind of psyop
00:12:11.920 meant to delegitimize the movement and make conservatives look racist.
00:12:16.120 To that, I must assure them, despite how it may seem,
00:12:18.920 that not everything is a psyop.
00:12:21.280 There are things that really just happen in life.
00:12:24.720 Some things do just happen, and I think this is one of them.
00:12:29.700 Now, I understand that some people on my side feel, to put it scientifically,
00:12:37.780 icky about this whole thing.
00:12:39.940 I understand why they feel icky.
00:12:42.460 I understand why they don't want to condone saying racial slurs to children.
00:12:46.740 I don't want to condone it either, and I don't.
00:12:48.580 And nobody really does.
00:12:50.380 But I think they're missing the point.
00:12:53.740 You know, I don't think they understand what's actually happening here or why.
00:12:58.140 It is, in the end, a net positive that this woman has raised half a million dollars.
00:13:03.380 I'm glad she has.
00:13:04.540 I hope she raises a million.
00:13:06.280 I will not be joining with some of my conservative friends and wagging my finger at her donors,
00:13:10.620 and I'll explain why.
00:13:15.120 First of all, she does have a legitimate need for the money.
00:13:18.360 The mob is truly trying to get her killed.
00:13:21.280 I don't believe that a woman should have her life threatened for saying a word, even a bad one.
00:13:25.860 You could say freedom of speech, but not freedom from consequences for your speech, all you want.
00:13:30.560 But if losing your livelihood and having your house burned down is a consequence of your speech, then you do not have free speech.
00:13:38.920 Supporting free speech means supporting someone's ability to speak without having their family murdered for it.
00:13:46.700 Okay?
00:13:46.840 I mean, that should be pretty obvious.
00:13:49.580 Second, more importantly, and, you know, this is the part that I really need everyone to stop and think about.
00:13:58.960 This is the most devastating attack on cancel culture that we have seen, possibly ever.
00:14:07.800 Shiloh Hendricks has, without really trying, effectively ended cancel culture.
00:14:12.420 As Mark Dice said in his video about the incident, Shiloh is the final boss of cancel culture,
00:14:17.520 or maybe rather the final boss that cancel culture has to fight.
00:14:21.880 And I think that's right.
00:14:23.940 And this is the part that many conservatives seem to be missing.
00:14:26.540 All they see is that this woman said something bad and is now getting rewarded for it.
00:14:32.320 The whole thing is so unsavory that they can't help but recoil.
00:14:35.780 And, yeah, it is unsavory.
00:14:38.160 You wish that Shiloh had said or done something that we could affirmatively defend.
00:14:41.920 That would be much easier.
00:14:43.660 Nobody wants to affirmatively defend cussing out a five-year-old, even though I don't think the kid's actually five.
00:14:48.960 But none of that is the point.
00:14:51.820 The point is that the only way to put an end to this routine,
00:14:56.480 the routine where the outrage mob mobilizes and assembles to destroy somebody's life,
00:15:02.020 is to disincentivize the routine.
00:15:05.220 And the only way to disincentivize that behavior is to reward the person who's being targeted.
00:15:12.340 Now, we can complain all we want about the mob tactics and how they silence and punish people
00:15:17.420 and exact vengeance in wildly disproportionate ways.
00:15:20.740 We can condemn it.
00:15:21.900 We can write think pieces about it.
00:15:23.580 We can deliver monologues.
00:15:25.640 None of that matters.
00:15:27.580 None of that will stop them.
00:15:29.260 The only thing that can stop them,
00:15:31.380 the only thing that will make them think twice about doing this again,
00:15:35.240 is if they know that instead of getting their target canceled,
00:15:39.740 they might accidentally make them rich.
00:15:42.240 And more important, even than the money,
00:15:44.440 they must know that their attempt to isolate and ostracize somebody will fail.
00:15:50.220 That for every person condemning the targeted person,
00:15:54.360 two more will rally to their defense.
00:15:57.540 You know, the motto of the cancel mob for a long time
00:16:00.760 has always been,
00:16:02.960 make this person famous.
00:16:04.160 And a lot of them were saying that about Shiloh.
00:16:06.700 Let's make her famous.
00:16:08.660 Now, the assumption is that the fame
00:16:11.020 will have an exclusively negative effect on the person's life.
00:16:14.860 Making them famous means making them unsafe,
00:16:17.220 making them bankrupt,
00:16:18.360 making them persona non grata.
00:16:20.800 With this case,
00:16:22.440 that assumption has been flipped on its head.
00:16:26.000 Because now the mob knows
00:16:27.920 that making them famous
00:16:29.640 might help them more than hurt them.
00:16:32.520 Rather than the fame being punished,
00:16:35.200 it's rewarded.
00:16:38.180 That's the only way to stop this.
00:16:40.380 The making them famous tactic
00:16:42.220 now has a powerful disincentive attached.
00:16:47.340 Think of it this way.
00:16:49.460 Justine Sacco is widely considered
00:16:51.520 the patient zero of cancel culture.
00:16:53.560 Back in 2013,
00:16:54.340 she was on a flight to Africa
00:16:56.020 when she tweeted jokingly
00:16:57.420 that she hopes she doesn't get AIDS
00:16:59.200 when she gets to Africa.
00:17:01.420 And when she landed hours later,
00:17:03.640 you're probably familiar with the story,
00:17:05.460 she discovered that her tweet
00:17:07.320 had gone viral across the country.
00:17:09.420 The mob had made her famous
00:17:10.980 and she lost her job.
00:17:12.920 She was cast out of polite society.
00:17:14.380 Her life as she knew it was over.
00:17:16.640 And our culture as we knew it
00:17:18.720 had also been changed irrevocably.
00:17:21.700 Now, I wish that somebody
00:17:25.780 had started a crowdfunding campaign for her
00:17:27.900 all the way back in 2013.
00:17:30.420 I wish that while half the internet
00:17:32.220 was trying to wreck her life
00:17:33.280 over a dumb joke,
00:17:34.220 the other half had made her rich.
00:17:36.340 I wish people had donated
00:17:37.680 half a million dollars to her.
00:17:38.800 I wish they donated a million.
00:17:40.040 I wish they donated 50 million.
00:17:42.420 And that's not because I think
00:17:43.760 an AIDS joke is worth 50 million dollars.
00:17:46.100 It wasn't that good of a joke.
00:17:47.580 It's not because I think that
00:17:48.680 Justine Sacco is some great hero.
00:17:51.380 It's because that would have
00:17:53.660 destroyed cancel culture
00:17:55.260 in its infancy.
00:17:57.080 The entire incentive structure
00:17:59.220 around this online
00:18:00.860 left-wing version of mob justice
00:18:03.080 would have been broken
00:18:04.480 right at the start.
00:18:06.740 If they made her famous
00:18:08.160 and she profited from the fame
00:18:10.240 rather than being ruined by it,
00:18:12.640 then the make her famous tactic
00:18:14.840 would have died right there
00:18:16.700 and that would have been
00:18:17.280 the end of it.
00:18:18.900 But it didn't die there.
00:18:20.720 Instead, the mob was emboldened.
00:18:23.320 Mob justice worked out
00:18:24.600 really well for the mob
00:18:25.780 nearly every time
00:18:26.980 for the next decade and a half.
00:18:29.820 Now that's finally changed.
00:18:32.060 And you don't have to like Shiloh
00:18:33.980 or agree with her choice of words
00:18:35.380 to see that.
00:18:37.800 Speaking of her choice of words,
00:18:39.320 there is another point that
00:18:40.600 I think has to be made here.
00:18:43.000 The mob that tried unsuccessfully
00:18:47.600 to cancel Shiloh Hendricks
00:18:49.100 was far, far more outraged
00:18:51.860 over Shiloh saying the N-word
00:18:53.260 than they were over Carmelo Anthony
00:18:54.720 stabbing somebody to death.
00:18:56.040 Indeed, many of them
00:18:56.680 actively supported Carmelo Anthony
00:18:58.140 murdering Austin Metcalf.
00:19:00.160 They rewarded him financially for it.
00:19:03.160 And this is all part
00:19:04.520 of the preposterous racial double standard
00:19:07.180 that has defined American culture
00:19:09.160 for generations now.
00:19:10.720 It is a double standard
00:19:11.880 that declares it a greater crime
00:19:14.220 for a white person to say a word
00:19:16.340 than for a black person
00:19:18.000 to kill a white person.
00:19:19.440 In fact, killing a white person
00:19:20.520 could even be a just punishment
00:19:22.220 for saying that word
00:19:23.420 according to these standards.
00:19:25.540 The rules surrounding this word,
00:19:27.640 the moral weight granted to it,
00:19:29.220 the arbitrary guidelines
00:19:30.560 drawn around it,
00:19:31.580 it's all nonsense.
00:19:33.620 It's all indefensible
00:19:35.100 on both moral and intellectual grounds.
00:19:38.220 People are fed up with it.
00:19:39.380 That's what you're seeing
00:19:41.600 in this story.
00:19:42.300 People are just fed up with it.
00:19:45.140 Now, that child,
00:19:46.280 if he's like the average black child
00:19:47.680 in this country,
00:19:48.620 did not hear the N-word
00:19:50.660 for the first time
00:19:51.500 from a white woman
00:19:52.440 at the park last week.
00:19:54.720 Okay?
00:19:55.140 He's no doubt heard it
00:19:56.180 thousands of times.
00:19:57.620 He likely hears it every day.
00:19:59.060 He probably hears it
00:19:59.880 in his own home.
00:20:01.720 Are we supposed to believe
00:20:02.900 that he's heard the word
00:20:04.200 a thousand times,
00:20:04.960 but it's time 1001
00:20:06.500 that really traumatized him?
00:20:08.600 I mean, the idea
00:20:09.160 that the word
00:20:09.600 is a common greeting
00:20:10.560 for one race,
00:20:11.400 but unspeakably evil
00:20:12.780 if uttered by a different race
00:20:14.520 is laughably ridiculous.
00:20:17.500 The idea that one race
00:20:19.060 can say the word
00:20:19.760 10,000 times a day
00:20:20.920 and the other race
00:20:22.200 cannot speak the syllables
00:20:23.600 under any circumstance,
00:20:25.140 even if they're just repeating
00:20:26.260 what someone else said
00:20:27.100 or singing along
00:20:27.820 to a rap song,
00:20:29.040 that idea, again,
00:20:30.380 is totally indefensible,
00:20:32.640 which is why no one
00:20:33.920 has ever tried to defend it.
00:20:36.000 Instead, it's just yet another
00:20:37.300 racial rule of the road
00:20:40.480 that we're supposed to follow
00:20:42.680 without ever asking
00:20:43.520 any questions about it
00:20:44.620 or expecting anyone
00:20:45.460 to explain it
00:20:46.440 or justify it.
00:20:47.500 People are sick of that.
00:20:49.260 It's just that simple.
00:20:50.620 They are sick of it.
00:20:53.160 Now, it is simple.
00:20:55.900 If it's wrong to say the word,
00:20:58.340 then it's wrong
00:20:59.240 for anyone to say it.
00:21:00.860 If black people
00:21:01.660 want white people
00:21:02.920 to not say the word,
00:21:04.980 then they need to
00:21:06.180 not say it.
00:21:09.820 If you say it,
00:21:11.620 everyone else can say it.
00:21:13.300 Point blank.
00:21:14.380 It's that simple.
00:21:15.460 That's how life works.
00:21:17.320 Deal with it.
00:21:18.780 No, you can't do that.
00:21:19.680 You can't say,
00:21:20.360 we can do this thing,
00:21:21.640 but you can't.
00:21:22.260 It doesn't work that way.
00:21:23.560 It does not work that way.
00:21:25.340 Well, it did work that way
00:21:26.300 for a long time.
00:21:27.560 It was indefensible,
00:21:28.840 and it's just not going
00:21:29.960 to work that way anymore.
00:21:31.660 Sorry.
00:21:34.540 And no matter who is saying it,
00:21:36.300 it's not any worse
00:21:37.420 than any other slur
00:21:38.440 or vulgarity.
00:21:39.260 It's not special.
00:21:40.060 The word is not magical.
00:21:41.240 It's not some kind
00:21:41.720 of mystical curse.
00:21:43.280 It's not some kind
00:21:43.960 of dark incantation
00:21:45.280 that conjures evil spirits
00:21:46.660 from the netherworld.
00:21:47.660 It's just a word.
00:21:49.280 It's a vulgar word.
00:21:50.260 It's a rude word.
00:21:50.980 It's a word that I believe
00:21:51.760 polite people shouldn't say
00:21:52.760 for the same reason
00:21:53.320 they shouldn't use
00:21:54.400 any other vulgarity.
00:21:55.440 I'm using N-word right now
00:21:56.740 instead of saying
00:21:57.260 the actual word
00:21:57.840 for the same reason
00:21:58.360 that I would say F-word
00:21:59.320 or C-word
00:21:59.980 instead of those actual words.
00:22:01.740 Those are vulgar words.
00:22:03.240 But that's all.
00:22:05.300 The reflexive,
00:22:06.520 indefensible,
00:22:07.460 capricious,
00:22:08.920 vacillating,
00:22:09.920 racial double standards
00:22:11.040 are over.
00:22:11.840 People are fed up with them.
00:22:13.800 They are fed up with the game,
00:22:15.280 and they don't want
00:22:16.220 to play it anymore.
00:22:17.440 And that's all
00:22:19.580 that this word has become.
00:22:20.660 That's all that our
00:22:21.200 quote-unquote
00:22:21.720 race relations have become.
00:22:23.700 A game.
00:22:25.280 A game with arbitrary rules
00:22:27.480 and incredibly excessive punishments
00:22:29.080 for anyone who breaks them.
00:22:30.440 It's like the societal equivalent
00:22:32.180 of a child
00:22:33.060 trying to walk on the sidewalk
00:22:35.000 without stepping on a crack.
00:22:36.580 Eventually the kid
00:22:37.240 gets bored with it,
00:22:37.980 starts walking normally again
00:22:39.040 because it turns out
00:22:39.800 that if you step on a crack,
00:22:40.900 you're not really going
00:22:41.500 to break your mother's back.
00:22:42.720 The rules are fake.
00:22:44.500 And eventually people
00:22:45.540 get tired of following them.
00:22:47.880 Telling white people
00:22:49.020 and white people only
00:22:49.980 that they can't combine
00:22:51.720 two specific syllables
00:22:52.900 under any circumstance,
00:22:54.300 it's like telling them
00:22:55.060 they can't touch their head
00:22:56.160 unless someone says
00:22:57.000 Simon Says.
00:22:58.420 Okay?
00:22:58.740 They're not going to play
00:22:59.780 the game forever.
00:23:02.320 White guilt is the fuel
00:23:03.780 that keeps all this going.
00:23:05.160 White guilt is what
00:23:05.920 convinces white people
00:23:06.920 to follow arbitrary rules
00:23:08.420 that make no sense,
00:23:09.800 to tolerate,
00:23:10.600 even defend a system
00:23:11.820 that's rigged against them
00:23:12.880 with blatant double standards.
00:23:14.600 It's what's compelled
00:23:15.740 white people
00:23:16.320 to acquiesce
00:23:17.140 to a culture
00:23:17.700 that says that,
00:23:18.440 you know,
00:23:18.920 every race can and should
00:23:20.500 defend and root
00:23:21.300 for their own
00:23:21.820 but white people
00:23:22.540 and white people only
00:23:23.960 should not be conscious
00:23:25.440 of their race at all.
00:23:27.860 None of it is fair
00:23:29.300 or morally coherent.
00:23:31.780 And the Carmelo Anthony case
00:23:33.820 where a black teen
00:23:36.140 raked in half a million dollars
00:23:37.940 as a reward
00:23:39.060 for stabbing a white kid
00:23:41.400 to death
00:23:42.180 was for a lot of people
00:23:45.920 the final straw.
00:23:48.260 The final straw
00:23:49.560 of many, many straws.
00:23:52.040 It is no surprise
00:23:53.340 that the Shiloh Hendricks case
00:23:54.740 comes on the heels of that.
00:23:57.400 You know,
00:23:58.000 a lot of people online
00:23:59.040 are fretting that
00:24:00.520 this is the beginning
00:24:02.120 of some kind of race war.
00:24:05.180 But I don't think
00:24:06.660 it's a race war
00:24:07.340 and it's certainly
00:24:07.840 not the beginning.
00:24:08.520 I mean,
00:24:10.040 there's been a war
00:24:10.720 waged on whiteness
00:24:11.880 for a long time
00:24:12.680 in this country.
00:24:14.460 So this cannot be
00:24:15.500 the beginning of anything.
00:24:17.880 But it may be
00:24:18.720 the end of something.
00:24:20.500 The end of
00:24:21.560 racial level standards.
00:24:23.340 The end of
00:24:24.100 cancel culture.
00:24:26.500 This is an ugly story
00:24:28.020 in a lot of ways.
00:24:29.860 But if history
00:24:30.760 has shown us anything,
00:24:32.300 it's that ugly things
00:24:33.720 die ugly deaths.
00:24:37.220 Now let's get to
00:24:38.060 our five headlines.
00:24:45.040 Tax day may have passed,
00:24:46.500 but for millions of Americans,
00:24:47.740 the real trouble
00:24:48.520 is just beginning.
00:24:49.620 If you missed
00:24:50.040 the April 15th deadline
00:24:51.160 or you still owe back taxes,
00:24:52.760 the IRS is ramping up
00:24:54.100 enforcement every day.
00:24:55.660 You wait.
00:24:56.120 Only makes things worse.
00:24:57.240 With over 5,000
00:24:58.180 new tax liens filed daily
00:24:59.780 and tools like
00:25:01.140 property seizures,
00:25:02.040 bank levies,
00:25:02.680 and wage garnishments,
00:25:03.940 the IRS is applying
00:25:04.920 pressure at levels
00:25:05.740 we haven't seen in years.
00:25:06.740 Increased administrative
00:25:08.000 scrutiny means
00:25:08.680 collections are moving fast.
00:25:10.180 The good news,
00:25:11.080 there's still time

00:25:41.020 help before the IRS
00:25:43.420 makes the next move.
00:25:46.120 President Donald Trump,
00:25:47.660 CNN reports,
00:25:48.440 by the way,
00:25:48.860 President Donald Trump
00:25:49.600 said in a social media post
00:25:50.840 Sunday that he's directing
00:25:51.940 the Bureau of Prisons
00:25:52.980 to rebuild and reopen Alcatraz,
00:25:54.940 as the infamous former prison
00:25:56.160 has a place to house
00:25:57.680 America's most ruthless
00:25:58.860 and violent offenders.
00:26:00.840 He said in the Post on Truth Social,
00:26:03.520 I'm directing the Bureau of Prisons
00:26:04.640 together with the Department of Justice,
00:26:06.040 FBI, and Homeland Security
00:26:06.880 to reopen or substantially enlarge
00:26:08.340 and rebuild Alcatraz
00:26:09.800 to house America's most ruthless
00:26:11.120 and violent offenders.
00:26:12.660 We'll no longer be held hostage
00:26:14.060 to criminals, thugs, and judges
00:26:15.260 that are afraid to do their job
00:26:16.440 and allow us to remove criminals.
00:26:20.280 Trump said Alcatraz
00:26:21.240 has been a sad symbol,
00:26:22.380 but it's a symbol of law and order,
00:26:23.440 and it's got quite a history,
00:26:25.520 frankly, so I think
00:26:26.360 we're going to do that.
00:26:29.700 Alcatraz located on an island
00:26:30.840 off of the San Francisco coast,
00:26:34.240 operated as a federal penitentiary
00:26:35.440 for nearly 30 years
00:26:36.340 before closing in 1963
00:26:37.420 because the institution
00:26:38.200 was too expensive
00:26:38.900 to continue operating.
00:26:40.600 It estimated $3 million
00:26:41.520 to $5 million was needed
00:26:42.620 just for restoration
00:26:43.680 and maintenance work
00:26:44.520 to keep the prison open,
00:26:45.880 not including daily operating costs.
00:26:48.720 Alcatraz was nearly three times
00:26:50.040 more expensive to operate
00:26:51.060 than any other federal prison,
00:26:52.320 according to the Bureau of Prisons.
00:26:55.540 Now, you'll not be shocked
00:26:58.140 to learn that I quite like this idea.
00:26:59.940 I think that the concerns
00:27:02.280 about the cost, first of all,
00:27:03.740 are not serious.
00:27:05.540 You know, it's funny
00:27:06.140 when the left suddenly becomes
00:27:07.480 a bunch of penny pinchers.
00:27:09.160 We spend trillions of dollars a year,
00:27:11.240 but they object, you know,
00:27:13.680 they don't object until we allocate it
00:27:15.700 to something like prisons.
00:27:16.640 And I'm kind of the opposite, really,
00:27:19.020 in that prisons are one
00:27:21.200 of the few things
00:27:22.020 that as a taxpayer
00:27:22.860 I don't mind splurging on.
00:27:26.040 And that's why I'm never dissuaded
00:27:27.520 when somebody says,
00:27:28.340 oh, the prisons are overcrowded.
00:27:31.180 Okay, build more then.
00:27:33.200 Like, what do you mean?
00:27:33.820 Just, we got plenty of space,
00:27:35.160 just, it's overcrowded?
00:27:36.680 Okay, build more.
00:27:38.520 Build 50 more.
00:27:39.420 I mean, who cares?
00:27:41.240 Build as many as we need.
00:27:42.480 The federal government allocates
00:27:45.560 like $9 billion a year
00:27:46.920 to the Bureau of Prisons.
00:27:49.980 That's it, $9 billion.
00:27:52.200 And to put that in perspective,
00:27:53.780 we spend more than $9 billion
00:27:55.420 in a single month
00:27:57.280 on food stamps.
00:28:00.380 Okay?
00:28:01.260 We spend more than $9 billion
00:28:02.640 in three days on welfare.
00:28:05.380 So don't tell me that $9 billion
00:28:06.460 is some great expense.
00:28:08.760 And don't, definitely don't tell me
00:28:10.340 that $5 million to, like,
00:28:12.180 do maintenance
00:28:13.300 is a back-breaking expenditure.
00:28:17.540 I mean, that's how much
00:28:18.260 we spend on welfare
00:28:19.200 in five minutes.
00:28:21.540 Literally.
00:28:22.860 Every five minutes,
00:28:23.960 we spend $5 million
00:28:24.920 on the welfare system.
00:28:27.260 So, you know,
00:28:28.380 so the money is irrelevant here.
00:28:30.360 The value of sending prisoners
00:28:32.260 to Alcatraz
00:28:32.860 is really the symbolism.
00:28:34.760 And symbolism is important.
00:28:37.720 Now, yeah,
00:28:38.100 there's the practical consideration.
00:28:39.900 It's harder to escape
00:28:40.960 when you're on a prison island.
00:28:42.840 But it's hard to escape
00:28:43.880 from any maximum security prison.
00:28:46.460 The point is largely symbolic.
00:28:48.040 It's sending the message
00:28:48.860 that we are serious
00:28:49.840 about punishing criminals.
00:28:51.000 It's sending the message
00:28:51.780 that prison is a punishment.
00:28:55.060 You know,
00:28:55.380 I like the idea
00:28:56.060 of bringing back Alcatraz
00:28:57.060 for the same reason
00:28:57.580 I like the idea
00:28:58.100 of bringing back labor camps
00:28:59.880 and bringing back
00:29:01.620 chain gangs.
00:29:04.640 You know,
00:29:05.120 where people are chained up
00:29:06.080 on the side of the road
00:29:06.800 picking up trash or whatever.
00:29:08.360 I think, you know,
00:29:09.600 I think it's,
00:29:10.300 I think that's a great idea.
00:29:11.840 There are practical benefits,
00:29:13.060 of course.
00:29:13.480 You know,
00:29:13.640 you get free labor,
00:29:14.500 which is great.
00:29:16.440 I know some people
00:29:17.320 freak out about prison labor
00:29:18.840 and they say,
00:29:19.220 oh, it's slave labor.
00:29:21.320 Well, it's not exactly.
00:29:22.480 I mean,
00:29:22.840 constitutionally,
00:29:23.560 it's not slave labor.
00:29:24.520 The constitution specifically
00:29:25.640 allows for forced labor
00:29:27.360 in prisons.
00:29:29.200 Also,
00:29:29.680 historically across the world,
00:29:31.060 slaves were captured
00:29:31.820 by raiding parties
00:29:32.900 and by,
00:29:33.920 you know,
00:29:34.220 prisoner.
00:29:35.060 They were made,
00:29:35.820 they were captured
00:29:36.420 during war,
00:29:37.180 prisoners of war.
00:29:39.300 But prisoners in this country
00:29:40.780 are in prison
00:29:41.340 because they chose
00:29:42.240 to commit a crime.
00:29:43.480 So it's not,
00:29:44.460 it's not literally
00:29:45.300 slave labor.
00:29:46.640 But whatever you want
00:29:47.380 to call it,
00:29:49.000 like,
00:29:49.300 I don't really care
00:29:50.020 because there's an easy way
00:29:51.860 to avoid it.
00:29:52.580 just don't be
00:29:54.760 a dysfunctional
00:29:56.420 human being.
00:29:57.040 Don't be a scumbag criminal.
00:29:58.960 And if you are,
00:30:00.080 you need to be punished.
00:30:01.480 You need to be taught a lesson.
00:30:02.780 You need to suffer
00:30:03.480 for your crimes.
00:30:04.420 And that's the real value
00:30:05.540 of forced labor
00:30:06.620 and it's the value
00:30:07.460 of sending prisoners
00:30:09.300 to Alcatraz,
00:30:09.980 I think.
00:30:12.800 All right.
00:30:17.260 Let's see.
00:30:17.840 We also have,
00:30:18.540 speaking of money,
00:30:21.480 NBC News reports
00:30:22.520 President Donald Trump
00:30:23.200 signed an executive order
00:30:24.220 late Thursday
00:30:24.960 to end the public funding
00:30:26.720 of National Public Radio
00:30:28.460 and PBS
00:30:28.880 to stop what he called
00:30:29.920 biased and partisan
00:30:31.040 news coverage.
00:30:32.900 The White House
00:30:33.620 said in a Friday statement
00:30:34.360 that both organizations
00:30:35.260 had received tens of millions
00:30:36.300 of dollars in taxpayer funds
00:30:37.580 each year
00:30:38.040 to spread radical,
00:30:39.020 woke propaganda
00:30:39.700 disguised as news.
00:30:42.280 So he's going to try
00:30:43.320 to put an end to that
00:30:44.000 and that's the executive order.
00:30:45.040 Long overdue.
00:30:46.740 But it's led to the
00:30:48.000 expected histrionics
00:30:49.040 from the usual suspects.
00:30:50.440 So here's
00:30:51.680 Cory Booker's tweet
00:30:52.680 just as an example.
00:30:55.600 Public broadcasters
00:30:56.380 like PBS and NPR
00:30:57.500 give every American
00:30:59.520 access to culture,
00:31:01.040 history,
00:31:01.600 art,
00:31:01.880 and trusted journalism.
00:31:03.440 They're a cornerstone
00:31:04.380 of civic life.
00:31:05.400 Defunding them
00:31:05.940 does a disservice
00:31:06.780 to us all,
00:31:07.660 especially in rural communities.
00:31:09.420 We must defend them.
00:31:11.220 Not defund,
00:31:12.260 but defend them.
00:31:13.620 And this is how you know
00:31:14.500 that PBS and NPR
00:31:15.400 should be defunded.
00:31:17.540 Their supporters
00:31:18.380 cannot muster
00:31:19.440 any reason
00:31:20.280 why they should be funded.
00:31:23.860 You know,
00:31:24.180 at least they can't give
00:31:24.920 any reason
00:31:25.640 from this century.
00:31:28.220 I'd like to ask
00:31:29.120 Cory Booker,
00:31:29.860 how many Americans
00:31:30.800 total
00:31:31.420 rely on PBS
00:31:33.800 and NPR
00:31:34.400 for access
00:31:35.360 to culture,
00:31:36.340 history,
00:31:37.020 art,
00:31:37.360 and journalism?
00:31:39.040 Specifically,
00:31:39.840 how many
00:31:40.780 can only access
00:31:41.960 those things
00:31:42.740 through the broadcast
00:31:44.040 version
00:31:44.780 of NPR
00:31:45.780 and PBS?
00:31:47.820 Because this would have
00:31:48.640 to be a category
00:31:49.180 of people
00:31:49.660 who,
00:31:50.000 number one,
00:31:51.480 want to watch
00:31:52.380 NPR and PBS,
00:31:53.340 and number two,
00:31:54.940 don't have the internet.
00:31:57.300 Because if you have
00:31:58.080 the internet,
00:31:58.560 then NPR and PBS
00:31:59.220 are not giving you
00:32:00.200 access to anything
00:32:01.260 that you can't find
00:32:02.280 a million other places
00:32:03.400 instantly for free,
00:32:05.580 which is,
00:32:06.020 which is,
00:32:06.460 which,
00:32:06.760 by the way,
00:32:07.060 is enough reason
00:32:07.880 to defund them.
00:32:09.660 I mean,
00:32:10.160 we don't even need
00:32:10.640 to get into
00:32:11.160 the left-wing bias,
00:32:13.220 which is also
00:32:14.400 enough reason
00:32:15.080 to defund them,
00:32:16.060 but these things
00:32:18.000 came about
00:32:19.180 at a time
00:32:19.800 before the internet,
00:32:20.960 and the internet
00:32:22.080 just makes them
00:32:22.820 irrelevant.
00:32:24.000 Like,
00:32:24.500 there's not anything
00:32:25.320 that you can find
00:32:26.200 on PBS and NPR
00:32:26.920 that you can't find
00:32:27.620 in half a second,
00:32:29.880 you know,
00:32:30.720 on the internet,
00:32:31.440 right?
00:32:33.500 So,
00:32:34.020 why do we have it?
00:32:35.940 And even if you
00:32:36.740 don't have the internet,
00:32:37.600 if you're a conservative,
00:32:38.540 you still aren't relying
00:32:39.260 on NPR and PBS,
00:32:40.380 so we're really talking
00:32:42.060 about left-leaning
00:32:43.060 Americans
00:32:43.800 without the internet.
00:32:46.880 Those are the only ones
00:32:48.200 who arguably rely
00:32:50.080 on NPR and PBS
00:32:51.360 for access
00:32:52.240 to all these
00:32:53.100 different things.
00:32:54.680 So,
00:32:55.180 how many people
00:32:55.580 is that?
00:32:57.220 Like,
00:32:57.560 last number I saw,
00:32:58.600 I think,
00:32:58.880 from Pew,
00:32:59.520 it said that 96%
00:33:00.720 of Americans
00:33:01.300 use the internet,
00:33:03.080 and the 4%
00:33:06.240 who don't
00:33:06.880 are almost exclusively
00:33:08.220 like way out
00:33:09.260 in the country
00:33:09.780 and probably
00:33:10.600 over the age of 70.
00:33:11.460 And those types
00:33:13.180 probably aren't
00:33:13.700 big NPR fans.
00:33:16.300 So,
00:33:16.920 I'm guessing
00:33:17.700 that the number
00:33:18.680 of Americans
00:33:20.180 that Booker
00:33:20.740 is referring to
00:33:21.780 is maybe 3.
00:33:24.080 And I don't mean
00:33:24.580 3%,
00:33:25.060 I mean 3.
00:33:26.000 So,
00:33:27.640 should we keep
00:33:28.240 spending millions
00:33:28.860 of dollars
00:33:29.340 to make sure
00:33:30.660 that these
00:33:31.260 three people
00:33:32.080 can still get
00:33:34.080 NPR and PBS?
00:33:34.980 I think,
00:33:35.740 I would say no.
00:33:37.060 My answer to that
00:33:38.000 is no.
00:33:40.380 All right.
00:33:41.040 A little more
00:33:44.200 political news.
00:33:46.080 Stephen A.
00:33:46.620 Smith is continuing
00:33:47.480 his unofficial
00:33:48.400 presidential campaign.
00:33:49.560 He was back
00:33:50.020 on the Sunday
00:33:50.720 shows again
00:33:51.620 this past weekend
00:33:52.360 where he explained
00:33:54.660 his political
00:33:56.940 philosophy,
00:33:57.900 such as it is.
00:33:59.280 Let's listen
00:33:59.820 to that.
00:34:01.200 If you were
00:34:02.000 to run for president,
00:34:02.900 though,
00:34:03.040 it would be
00:34:03.460 as a Democrat
00:34:04.040 or no?
00:34:07.040 You know what?
00:34:07.860 I'm an independent.
00:34:08.640 I'm a registered
00:34:09.080 independent.
00:34:09.620 I would lean,
00:34:10.600 who leans left.
00:34:11.740 I'm fiscally
00:34:12.680 conservative
00:34:13.200 when it comes
00:34:13.860 to my money.
00:34:15.200 I'm socially liberal.
00:34:16.640 I'm liberal
00:34:17.040 when it comes
00:34:17.580 to social issues
00:34:18.460 pretty much
00:34:19.080 across the board.
00:34:19.900 I believe in living
00:34:20.560 and let living.
00:34:21.560 So,
00:34:21.800 I'm a moderate
00:34:22.500 and I would say
00:34:23.180 if I had to run
00:34:24.100 it would be
00:34:24.620 as a Democrat
00:34:25.660 but I'm not happy
00:34:26.820 with the Democratic
00:34:27.560 Party.
00:34:28.040 So,
00:34:28.180 the Democratic Party
00:34:28.920 is presently
00:34:29.580 constructed.
00:34:30.860 It would pretty much
00:34:32.140 need to be purged
00:34:33.140 in order for me
00:34:34.020 to assume
00:34:34.980 that I would want
00:34:35.660 to be associated
00:34:36.340 with them
00:34:37.080 and I would garner
00:34:38.080 their support
00:34:38.700 because I don't like
00:34:39.460 the way they've
00:34:39.960 gone about
00:34:40.420 doing a lot
00:34:41.080 of things
00:34:41.760 for a very,
00:34:42.780 very long period
00:34:43.480 of time
00:34:43.960 and I think
00:34:44.460 that I don't view
00:34:45.380 Donald Trump
00:34:46.020 as winning the election.
00:34:47.520 I view the Democrats
00:34:48.660 as losing the election,
00:34:50.400 as absolutely
00:34:51.080 positively blowing it
00:34:52.660 with some of their actions
00:34:54.140 and that's why
00:34:54.920 I think that,
00:34:55.920 you know,
00:34:56.140 again,
00:34:56.480 if somebody was
00:34:57.140 to associate me
00:34:57.920 with that,
00:34:58.820 the party
00:34:59.580 has presently
00:35:00.200 constructed
00:35:00.680 where Lee's
00:35:01.500 so extremely left
00:35:02.700 or at least
00:35:03.060 has spent
00:35:03.360 the vast majority
00:35:04.020 of time doing that,
00:35:05.200 oh,
00:35:05.380 that is not something
00:35:06.120 that I would vibe
00:35:06.880 with at all.
00:35:07.480 I would definitely
00:35:08.440 be looking
00:35:09.140 to be a game changer
00:35:10.720 in that regard.
00:35:12.680 Okay,
00:35:13.420 so Stephen A. Smith
00:35:14.440 there serving up
00:35:17.780 the blandest,
00:35:19.040 most basic,
00:35:20.580 most 2011 era
00:35:22.460 talking points
00:35:23.240 that he possibly could
00:35:24.280 and it's funny
00:35:25.700 when I hear people
00:35:26.660 saying that,
00:35:27.380 you know,
00:35:27.640 a Stephen A. Smith
00:35:28.260 campaign would be
00:35:29.120 exciting or revolutionary
00:35:30.340 somehow,
00:35:31.940 like he's this
00:35:33.280 formidable talent
00:35:34.620 with great insight.
00:35:37.040 Where are we seeing
00:35:38.040 the political talent?
00:35:38.820 Where's the insight?
00:35:40.780 He says nothing.
00:35:42.740 The parties are both corrupt.
00:35:44.880 I'm a moderate.
00:35:46.000 I think the truth
00:35:46.660 is in the middle somewhere.
00:35:48.700 Oh, wow.
00:35:49.300 How brave.
00:35:49.860 How bold.
00:35:51.760 Like,
00:35:52.020 I haven't seen anyone
00:35:52.700 this edgy
00:35:53.140 since John McCain.
00:35:55.280 Stephen A. Smith
00:35:55.800 is John McCain.
00:35:57.620 If John McCain
00:35:58.500 was black
00:35:59.100 and mostly talked
00:35:59.840 about basketball,
00:36:00.820 then he would be
00:36:01.900 Stephen A. Smith.
00:36:02.340 And by the way,
00:36:04.620 fiscally conservative
00:36:05.480 but socially liberal,
00:36:07.180 that again
00:36:08.380 is not anything
00:36:09.620 new or exciting.
00:36:11.520 This is the exact
00:36:12.840 brand of
00:36:13.920 like faux
00:36:14.900 moderate
00:36:15.480 slop
00:36:16.560 that
00:36:17.960 allowed our culture
00:36:19.080 to be marched
00:36:19.700 into the cesspit
00:36:20.620 that we're currently
00:36:21.260 trying to climb out of.
00:36:23.700 Fiscally conservative
00:36:24.560 but socially liberal
00:36:25.780 just means
00:36:26.820 that he's a leftist
00:36:29.540 who doesn't like
00:36:31.120 paying taxes.
00:36:32.660 That's all that it means.
00:36:34.600 A leftist
00:36:35.480 who doesn't like
00:36:35.900 paying taxes.
00:36:37.560 Which,
00:36:38.160 good for him,
00:36:38.660 I don't like
00:36:39.020 paying taxes either.
00:36:41.880 But that doesn't
00:36:42.740 make him not
00:36:43.460 a leftist.
00:36:45.420 And besides,
00:36:46.560 these fiscally
00:36:47.360 conservative types
00:36:48.380 who don't like taxes,
00:36:50.160 have you noticed
00:36:50.480 they never end up
00:36:51.920 doing anything
00:36:52.740 about the tax system.
00:36:55.480 Tax rates go up
00:36:56.600 or down
00:36:57.000 by a few percentage points
00:36:58.160 but the system
00:36:59.480 is never
00:37:00.140 fundamentally changed.
00:37:01.640 So this is all
00:37:04.240 just nothing
00:37:05.280 and I've got
00:37:06.480 nothing against
00:37:07.000 Stephen A.
00:37:07.440 Smith
00:37:07.560 but there's
00:37:09.620 nothing here.
00:37:11.300 I'm sure he's
00:37:12.100 a nice guy.
00:37:14.080 I bet I'd like him
00:37:15.280 if I met him
00:37:15.920 in person
00:37:16.340 because I'm sure
00:37:17.180 he's a nice
00:37:17.560 friendly guy
00:37:18.100 and if I did
00:37:20.700 meet him
00:37:21.160 I would tell him
00:37:22.200 to his face
00:37:22.740 that he's not
00:37:23.940 presidential material.
00:37:25.400 He's not bringing
00:37:26.240 anything new
00:37:26.860 or interesting
00:37:27.480 to the table.
00:37:30.500 What is Stephen A.
00:37:31.700 Smith's
00:37:32.060 core issue?
00:37:34.420 Right?
00:37:34.840 When you're running
00:37:35.200 for office
00:37:35.680 or when you're
00:37:36.160 potentially going
00:37:36.820 to run for office
00:37:37.520 there should be
00:37:39.940 some kind of
00:37:40.420 core issue
00:37:41.300 that's driven you
00:37:43.540 to take the leap
00:37:45.980 into running
00:37:46.820 for office.
00:37:48.220 So what is it?
00:37:49.160 What is he fired up
00:37:50.100 about exactly?
00:37:50.860 I don't trust
00:37:53.840 any politician
00:37:54.600 or any wannabe
00:37:55.300 politician
00:37:55.780 who doesn't have
00:37:56.680 a core issue
00:37:57.600 and just saying
00:37:59.420 something like
00:38:00.000 both parties
00:38:00.680 are corrupt
00:38:01.220 I don't
00:38:02.800 I don't
00:38:03.460 I got no use
00:38:04.600 for either of them.
00:38:05.840 Oh wow.
00:38:07.340 I've never heard
00:38:08.140 that before.
00:38:09.080 Wow.
00:38:11.160 That
00:38:11.400 that's only something
00:38:12.960 that literally
00:38:13.620 every human
00:38:14.620 in the country
00:38:16.580 says every day.
00:38:18.040 I mean we get it.
00:38:19.300 We all
00:38:19.660 yeah sure.
00:38:21.360 That's not
00:38:22.120 anything though.
00:38:23.020 That is nothing.
00:38:25.580 So that's not
00:38:26.700 a core issue.
00:38:27.340 What is a core issue?
00:38:29.220 Is a core issue?
00:38:30.060 I don't know.
00:38:31.320 Or forget about core.
00:38:32.680 I mean
00:38:33.000 can he name
00:38:35.740 three specific issues
00:38:37.300 that are important
00:38:38.200 to him?
00:38:41.040 You know
00:38:41.680 core issue or not?
00:38:43.620 Can he name
00:38:44.440 three specific issues
00:38:45.240 that are important to him?
00:38:46.240 Probably not.
00:38:49.100 No one seems
00:38:49.940 to have asked him that.
00:38:50.860 So
00:38:52.660 but again
00:38:54.740 I've talked about this
00:38:55.580 a few times
00:38:56.160 and I always regret
00:38:57.400 talking about it
00:38:58.240 and
00:38:59.600 and yet
00:39:00.300 here I go again
00:39:01.020 running my mouth
00:39:01.740 because
00:39:02.300 it
00:39:03.520 I have no interest
00:39:05.380 in trying
00:39:05.960 not that Democrats
00:39:06.700 are listening to me
00:39:07.300 but
00:39:07.520 I have no interest
00:39:08.920 in trying to
00:39:09.340 trying to dissuade them
00:39:10.580 from going this route
00:39:12.360 and the way
00:39:14.140 and the way that
00:39:14.260 this guy's name
00:39:14.940 keeps popping up
00:39:15.920 and he keeps
00:39:16.440 appearing on these
00:39:17.160 Sunday shows
00:39:17.760 and they're
00:39:18.120 having these
00:39:18.960 serious political
00:39:19.740 conversations
00:39:20.160 or trying to have
00:39:21.220 serious political
00:39:21.740 conversations with him
00:39:22.600 while he says nothing
00:39:23.820 he's not saying anything
00:39:25.780 so it really seems
00:39:28.820 that this is
00:39:29.360 that this is
00:39:30.680 serious
00:39:31.360 that they
00:39:31.940 you know
00:39:33.140 and he's obviously
00:39:33.860 got backers
00:39:34.820 he's obviously
00:39:35.260 got people in his ear
00:39:36.200 he's obviously
00:39:37.720 got you know
00:39:38.680 some powerful Democrats
00:39:39.940 I don't know who
00:39:40.600 but he's got people
00:39:41.700 encouraging him
00:39:42.420 and so
00:39:44.320 it seems like
00:39:46.500 this is something
00:39:46.960 that they're seriously
00:39:47.600 considering
00:39:48.020 and I hope they do
00:39:49.180 because it will
00:39:50.120 it will be a
00:39:51.340 it will just be
00:39:52.360 a total wipe
00:39:53.180 a landslide
00:39:54.160 an absolute
00:39:56.560 landslide
00:39:58.940 against the Democrats
00:40:01.000 if they do this
00:40:01.780 so
00:40:02.200 so
00:40:02.660 please do
00:40:03.760 according to a recent
00:40:05.880 zip recruiter survey
00:40:07.060 76% of employers
00:40:09.000 plan to expand
00:40:10.000 their head count
00:40:10.680 for 2025
00:40:11.340 that's a lot of time
00:40:13.040 spent hiring
00:40:13.760 so
00:40:14.100 if you're the owner
00:40:14.920 of a growing business
00:40:15.780 like we are here
00:40:16.760 at the Daily Wire
00:40:17.460 it's essential

00:40:21.500 that allows you

00:41:24.380 america's golden age
00:41:25.660 is here
00:41:26.140 and the left
00:41:26.600 will do anything
00:41:27.180 to shut it down
00:41:27.740 the backlash is building
00:41:28.860 and the fights
00:41:29.420 only getting louder
00:41:30.420 at daily wire
00:41:31.400 plus we're not watching
00:41:32.860 we are leading
00:41:33.560 we're on the front lines

00:41:42.940 this is your moment
00:41:44.140 join the fight
00:41:44.880 at dailywireplus.com
00:41:46.760 now let's get to
00:41:47.760 our daily cancellation
00:41:48.600 now one way to tell
00:41:56.780 that things are going
00:41:57.640 pretty well
00:41:58.240 in a presidential administration
00:41:59.340 is by looking at
00:42:00.520 how dumb
00:42:01.160 the controversies are
00:42:02.220 if the opposition party
00:42:03.480 is pretending to be upset
00:42:04.500 about something
00:42:05.000 that doesn't matter
00:42:05.800 then it's a pretty good sign
00:42:06.820 that everything is running
00:42:07.700 pretty smoothly
00:42:08.260 and by that metric at least
00:42:10.160 the second trump administration
00:42:11.100 is currently in the running
00:42:12.360 for the smoothest running
00:42:13.540 administration
00:42:13.960 in the history of the country
00:42:15.380 and that's because
00:42:16.440 over the last several days
00:42:17.520 Democrats have gone
00:42:19.240 on the war path
00:42:20.060 not over any
00:42:20.820 White House policy
00:42:21.660 or over any kind of
00:42:22.520 development in the real world
00:42:23.700 but instead
00:42:24.260 over an AI-generated meme
00:42:26.920 featuring the likeness
00:42:28.800 of the President
00:42:29.580 of the United States
00:42:30.460 now
00:42:30.760 before I go any further
00:42:32.200 I need to specify
00:42:33.260 the precise AI-generated meme
00:42:35.020 I'm talking about
00:42:35.620 I'm not talking about
00:42:37.300 this image
00:42:38.120 it's the one that features
00:42:39.340 the President
00:42:39.800 holding a red lightsaber
00:42:41.240 in a Star Wars outfit
00:42:43.040 showing off his gigantic muscles
00:42:44.840 while he's flanked
00:42:45.780 by two bald eagles
00:42:47.260 and I'm assuming
00:42:49.560 this is AI
00:42:50.140 I actually don't know
00:42:50.800 that for a fact
00:42:51.520 but I think
00:42:53.140 I think it's AI
00:42:54.160 and this was posted
00:42:55.920 on the White House
00:42:56.740 White House's official
00:42:58.140 social media accounts
00:42:59.000 but to be clear
00:42:59.860 that's not the image
00:43:00.700 nor is it intended
00:43:02.000 to be a statement
00:43:02.700 of White House policy
00:43:03.920 or anything like that
00:43:05.020 I'm also not talking
00:43:06.620 about the animation
00:43:07.420 of Donald Trump
00:43:08.140 signing executive orders
00:43:09.340 accompanied by
00:43:10.020 relaxing lo-fi music
00:43:11.440 which was posted
00:43:12.560 on the White House's account
00:43:13.460 the other day
00:43:14.040 nor am I talking
00:43:15.080 about the image
00:43:15.560 of Donald Trump
00:43:16.100 wearing a sombrero
00:43:16.980 and sipping tequila
00:43:17.840 which is making the rounds
00:43:19.840 for Cinco de Mayo
00:43:21.020 instead
00:43:22.140 the AI generated image
00:43:23.620 that has enraged Democrats
00:43:24.680 is this one
00:43:25.800 featuring Donald Trump
00:43:27.520 dressed as the Pope
00:43:28.760 and we'll put that
00:43:30.740 on the screen
00:43:31.240 there it is
00:43:33.400 it's the kind of thing
00:43:34.940 that you know
00:43:35.520 any AI program
00:43:36.460 can make
00:43:37.020 in about five seconds
00:43:37.840 and it's pretty clear
00:43:38.940 why the White House
00:43:39.660 made it
00:43:40.000 speaking to reporters
00:43:40.780 outside the White House
00:43:41.840 after Pope Francis' death
00:43:43.560 Trump said
00:43:44.120 quote
00:43:44.420 I'd like to be Pope
00:43:45.680 that would be my number one choice
00:43:47.000 and then after he was done
00:43:48.680 messing with reporters
00:43:49.340 he said
00:43:49.760 I must say
00:43:50.540 we have a cardinal
00:43:51.220 that happens to be
00:43:51.860 out of the place
00:43:52.460 called New York
00:43:53.000 who's very good
00:43:53.600 so we'll see what happens
00:43:54.540 and that's a reference
00:43:55.160 to Cardinal Timothy Dolan
00:43:56.360 everything was fine afterwards
00:43:58.460 until the White House
00:43:59.440 posted the meme
00:44:00.960 and that's when
00:44:02.200 all hell broke loose
00:44:03.000 as the AP reports
00:44:04.000 quote
00:44:04.220 the image featuring Trump
00:44:05.960 in a white cassock
00:44:07.040 and pointed mitre
00:44:08.380 or bishop's hat
00:44:09.180 was the topic
00:44:10.520 of several questions
00:44:11.380 during the Vatican's
00:44:12.260 daily conclave
00:44:13.020 briefing on Saturday
00:44:14.360 Italian and Spanish
00:44:15.680 news reports
00:44:16.300 lamented its poor taste
00:44:17.580 and said it was offensive
00:44:18.920 given that the period
00:44:19.820 of official mourning
00:44:20.600 is still underway
00:44:21.440 now what's great
00:44:23.260 about this report
00:44:23.900 is that it implies
00:44:24.680 that the image
00:44:25.420 would have been
00:44:26.040 completely fine
00:44:26.720 as soon as the
00:44:27.420 nine days of mourning
00:44:28.380 came to an end
00:44:29.140 they're really just upset
00:44:30.480 about the timing
00:44:31.120 of the meme apparently
00:44:31.960 the minute the official
00:44:33.200 period of mourning
00:44:33.740 stops though
00:44:34.460 all bets are off
00:44:35.280 I guess
00:44:35.640 now of course
00:44:36.860 no matter when
00:44:38.220 it's posted
00:44:38.740 the truth is that
00:44:40.040 there's nothing
00:44:41.260 especially offensive
00:44:42.660 about this meme
00:44:43.980 as an actual
00:44:45.100 lifelong practicing
00:44:45.960 Catholic myself
00:44:46.660 I found the meme
00:44:47.880 benign
00:44:49.260 I mean it's not
00:44:50.300 especially hilarious
00:44:51.100 but it's also not
00:44:52.380 some sort of
00:44:52.880 sacrilegious attack
00:44:53.980 on my faith
00:44:54.800 it's not even
00:44:56.040 mocking the Pope
00:44:56.940 either
00:44:57.240 Trump isn't dressed
00:44:58.100 as Pope Francis
00:44:59.040 in the meme
00:44:59.840 he's dressed as
00:45:01.200 the Pope
00:45:01.720 right
00:45:02.480 and if anything
00:45:03.840 it's actually
00:45:04.460 I would say
00:45:05.500 more self-deprecating
00:45:06.780 humor
00:45:07.160 poking at Trump
00:45:08.840 because the whole
00:45:09.520 point of the joke
00:45:10.380 is that
00:45:10.860 you know
00:45:12.320 it's absurd
00:45:13.040 to imagine
00:45:13.940 Donald Trump
00:45:15.540 as the Pope
00:45:16.120 so if anything
00:45:17.320 it's not
00:45:18.680 the joke is not
00:45:20.040 oh the Pope
00:45:21.340 is ridiculous
00:45:21.980 the joke is
00:45:23.620 it would be ridiculous
00:45:24.780 for Trump
00:45:25.480 to be the Pope
00:45:26.180 if I have to
00:45:28.180 explain the joke
00:45:28.940 that's the joke
00:45:29.660 now
00:45:31.200 that said
00:45:32.040 there was at least
00:45:32.620 one aspect of this meme
00:45:33.740 that was truly impressive
00:45:34.640 is it's that
00:45:35.620 against all odds
00:45:36.620 this AI generated meme
00:45:38.400 has managed
00:45:39.640 to instantly
00:45:40.360 transform Democrats
00:45:41.420 into card-carrying
00:45:43.240 tradcasts
00:45:44.960 yes the same people
00:45:45.900 who champion
00:45:46.400 the murder of children
00:45:47.380 and the castration
00:45:48.160 of children
00:45:49.280 virtually overnight
00:45:50.780 has become
00:45:52.420 orthodox
00:45:53.380 traditionalist
00:45:55.140 Catholic
00:45:55.580 intent on
00:45:56.900 rebuking anyone
00:45:57.740 who dares to misuse
00:45:59.020 papal imagery
00:46:00.120 on the internet
00:46:00.840 suddenly the Democrat
00:46:02.360 is like full of people
00:46:03.460 who go to the Latin mass
00:46:04.660 who knew
00:46:05.240 so
00:46:06.260 here's Governor
00:46:07.380 Kathy Hochul
00:46:08.100 of New York
00:46:08.700 for example
00:46:09.220 quote
00:46:09.620 this is deeply
00:46:11.300 offensive to me
00:46:12.040 and to my fellow
00:46:12.600 Catholics around the world
00:46:13.580 as we continue
00:46:14.480 to mourn
00:46:14.960 our beloved
00:46:15.540 Pope Francis
00:46:16.460 now if you're
00:46:17.940 keeping track
00:46:18.440 this is the same
00:46:19.260 Kathy Hochul
00:46:20.200 who told a Brooklyn
00:46:21.220 megachurch
00:46:21.820 that the COVID
00:46:22.520 shot came
00:46:23.340 quote
00:46:23.680 from God
00:46:24.420 she also said
00:46:25.620 that she wants
00:46:26.180 quote
00:46:26.440 apostles
00:46:26.900 to spread the word
00:46:28.020 of Tony Fauci
00:46:28.760 it's also the same
00:46:30.100 Kathy Hochul
00:46:30.880 who has repeatedly
00:46:31.600 declared her love
00:46:32.320 of abortion
00:46:32.780 quote
00:46:33.140 abortion is health care
00:46:34.480 and a human right
00:46:35.160 she said
00:46:36.200 she's also signed
00:46:37.620 legislation
00:46:38.220 enshrining child
00:46:39.080 castration into law
00:46:40.080 thanks to Kathy Hochul
00:46:41.520 New York
00:46:41.880 is now one of
00:46:42.520 several states
00:46:43.220 that allows a parent
00:46:44.020 to fly in
00:46:44.720 from out of state
00:46:45.380 in order to chemically
00:46:46.320 castrate their child
00:46:47.240 and courts can't do
00:46:48.420 anything about it
00:46:49.020 even if the other
00:46:50.040 parent objects
00:46:50.860 so
00:46:51.980 in other words
00:46:53.460 Kathy Hochul
00:46:54.000 is pretending
00:46:54.580 to be mortally offended
00:46:56.320 by a dumb meme
00:46:57.520 but she's not
00:46:58.960 remotely offended
00:46:59.660 by mortal sins
00:47:01.140 that defy
00:47:01.840 2,000 years
00:47:02.640 of church teaching
00:47:03.400 like abortion
00:47:04.620 sodomy
00:47:05.260 transgenderism
00:47:06.040 and so on
00:47:06.580 Catholicism
00:47:07.920 according to Kathy Hochul
00:47:08.800 is whatever
00:47:09.780 the Democrat Party
00:47:10.520 wants
00:47:10.900 the experimental
00:47:12.780 COVID shot
00:47:13.360 that doesn't even work
00:47:14.220 was sent from God
00:47:15.140 but the child
00:47:16.420 that was just
00:47:16.860 murdered in the
00:47:17.520 abortion clinic
00:47:18.220 was not sent
00:47:20.340 from God
00:47:20.780 apparently
00:47:21.220 Hochul has spent
00:47:23.060 her entire public
00:47:23.740 career attacking
00:47:24.440 literally everything
00:47:25.480 that the Catholic
00:47:26.740 Church stands for
00:47:27.520 and now
00:47:28.040 in the face
00:47:29.000 of this meme
00:47:29.800 she's suddenly
00:47:31.060 pretending
00:47:31.440 that she's
00:47:31.940 a faithful
00:47:32.440 Catholic
00:47:32.980 who never
00:47:34.280 misses mass
00:47:35.080 even on
00:47:36.220 holy days
00:47:36.900 Kathy Hochul
00:47:37.740 is there
00:47:38.100 she even wears
00:47:39.580 a veil
00:47:39.960 to church
00:47:40.440 that's how
00:47:41.520 religious
00:47:41.860 this woman
00:47:42.360 is
00:47:42.640 as of
00:47:43.100 nine seconds
00:47:43.700 ago
00:47:43.960 and it wasn't
00:47:45.480 just Kathy Hochul
00:47:46.200 who adopted
00:47:46.660 this approach
00:47:47.200 one by one
00:47:47.840 Democrats
00:47:48.360 who claimed
00:47:48.700 to be Catholic
00:47:49.240 took turns
00:47:50.560 declaring that
00:47:51.140 this meme
00:47:51.560 was blasphemous
00:47:52.520 it's one of
00:47:53.780 the most
00:47:54.100 shameless
00:47:54.600 and phoniest
00:47:55.780 displays
00:47:56.280 we've seen
00:47:56.800 in politics
00:47:57.300 in a long time
00:47:57.840 which of course
00:47:58.120 is saying a lot
00:47:58.800 here's what
00:47:59.760 Ted Lieu
00:48:00.240 the congressman
00:48:00.880 from California
00:48:01.440 wrote
00:48:01.720 quote
00:48:02.040 as a Catholic
00:48:03.480 I take great
00:48:04.340 offense to Donald
00:48:05.160 Trump mocking
00:48:05.840 Catholics
00:48:06.380 I wish Trump
00:48:07.540 would focus
00:48:07.960 on lowering
00:48:08.460 prices instead
00:48:09.300 the American
00:48:10.220 economy had
00:48:10.900 negative GDP
00:48:11.640 growth last
00:48:12.280 quarter
00:48:12.560 that's what
00:48:13.480 he should be
00:48:13.780 focused on
00:48:14.240 instead of
00:48:14.600 making fun
00:48:15.180 of Catholics
00:48:15.740 so now we have
00:48:18.240 the implication
00:48:18.700 that the meme
00:48:19.320 is not simply
00:48:19.960 offensive
00:48:20.260 it's also
00:48:20.640 so bad
00:48:21.520 that it's
00:48:22.060 hurting the
00:48:22.560 economy
00:48:22.960 the stakes
00:48:24.460 have been
00:48:24.760 raised
00:48:25.100 according to
00:48:25.620 California
00:48:26.100 Congressman
00:48:26.560 Ted Lieu
00:48:27.100 who says
00:48:27.520 he's a Catholic
00:48:28.080 but what does
00:48:30.280 that mean
00:48:30.560 exactly
00:48:30.900 well
00:48:31.700 let's
00:48:33.120 see
00:48:33.700 here's
00:48:34.200 Ted Lieu
00:48:34.760 posing with
00:48:36.160 the so-called
00:48:36.740 sisters of
00:48:37.500 perpetual indulgence
00:48:38.800 at the Los Angeles
00:48:39.780 Pride Parade
00:48:40.580 you can see
00:48:41.000 the picture
00:48:42.660 there
00:48:42.900 proudly posted
00:48:43.880 by Ted Lieu
00:48:44.660 this is a group
00:48:45.300 that is explicitly
00:48:46.240 devoted to
00:48:47.060 blasphemy
00:48:47.760 and sexual
00:48:48.580 sin
00:48:48.980 it's a group
00:48:50.300 whose very
00:48:51.020 existence
00:48:51.660 is a mortal
00:48:52.620 sin
00:48:52.980 according to
00:48:53.480 church teaching
00:48:54.060 they're an
00:48:55.200 anti-Catholic
00:48:56.020 hate group
00:48:56.640 you know
00:48:57.640 they dress up
00:48:58.220 like Jesus
00:48:58.740 and they put
00:48:59.280 on perverse
00:48:59.900 sexual displays
00:49:00.800 all the time
00:49:01.420 with the goal
00:49:02.240 of mocking
00:49:02.700 Catholics
00:49:03.140 it's their
00:49:03.840 entire
00:49:04.280 reason for
00:49:05.360 existing
00:49:05.780 you might
00:49:07.020 remember them
00:49:07.540 from the
00:49:08.160 whole sordid
00:49:08.780 situation
00:49:09.280 where the
00:49:09.700 Dodgers
00:49:10.100 honored them
00:49:10.820 but
00:49:11.100 Ted Lieu
00:49:12.320 doesn't object
00:49:12.840 to any
00:49:13.120 of that
00:49:13.420 he doesn't
00:49:14.520 find this
00:49:15.000 anti-Catholic
00:49:15.880 hate group
00:49:16.340 to be
00:49:16.660 offensive
00:49:17.000 a man
00:49:17.520 in a
00:49:17.860 nun costume
00:49:18.680 promoting
00:49:19.400 sodomy
00:49:20.000 is not
00:49:20.840 offensive
00:49:21.200 but a
00:49:22.680 meme of
00:49:23.180 Trump
00:49:23.520 as the
00:49:24.020 Pope
00:49:24.360 is
00:49:25.260 according
00:49:25.720 to
00:49:25.900 Ted Lieu
00:49:26.360 and of
00:49:27.840 course
00:49:27.980 Ted Lieu
00:49:28.300 has no
00:49:28.660 problem
00:49:28.940 with
00:49:29.120 killing
00:49:29.340 children
00:49:29.660 either
00:49:30.000 here's
00:49:30.360 a post
00:49:30.680 from Ted
00:49:31.180 Lieu
00:49:31.360 from a
00:49:32.500 couple
00:49:32.840 of years
00:49:33.320 ago
00:49:33.560 he writes
00:49:33.940 quote
00:49:34.220 most abortions
00:49:35.660 occur prior
00:49:36.240 to nine
00:49:36.580 weeks
00:49:36.920 look at
00:49:38.100 the picture
00:49:38.440 below
00:49:38.780 is that
00:49:39.780 a human
00:49:40.060 being
00:49:40.400 I don't
00:49:41.320 know
00:49:41.640 close
00:49:43.220 quote
00:49:43.500 you know
00:49:45.880 for a
00:49:46.920 Catholic
00:49:47.460 it's an
00:49:48.320 interesting
00:49:48.760 statement
00:49:49.140 to make
00:49:49.580 because
00:49:50.800 it suggests
00:49:51.700 a complete
00:49:52.460 lack of
00:49:52.960 familiarity
00:49:53.460 with the
00:49:54.580 catechism
00:49:55.140 or with
00:49:55.840 scripture
00:49:56.400 which both
00:49:58.000 make
00:49:58.360 repeated
00:49:58.960 references
00:49:59.360 to the
00:49:59.920 humanity
00:50:00.380 and moral
00:50:01.040 worth
00:50:01.440 of children
00:50:01.980 in the
00:50:02.360 womb
00:50:02.560 like if
00:50:04.220 you're a
00:50:04.480 Catholic
00:50:04.820 then the
00:50:06.300 answer to
00:50:06.920 that riddle
00:50:07.440 is
00:50:07.920 definitely
00:50:09.260 yes
00:50:09.840 it's a
00:50:10.360 human
00:50:10.580 being
00:50:10.940 Catholic
00:50:12.100 teaching
00:50:12.540 could not
00:50:13.700 be more
00:50:14.280 clear
00:50:14.780 about that
00:50:16.120 question
00:50:16.640 but Ted
00:50:18.820 Lieu
00:50:19.060 the
00:50:19.300 Catholic
00:50:19.740 is
00:50:20.740 confused
00:50:21.260 somehow
00:50:21.720 he's
00:50:23.040 the
00:50:23.160 type
00:50:23.360 of
00:50:23.520 self
00:50:23.740 described
00:50:24.060 Catholic
00:50:24.440 who
00:50:24.700 expressly
00:50:25.340 disavows
00:50:26.440 basically
00:50:27.400 every
00:50:27.900 element
00:50:28.380 and every
00:50:29.260 teaching
00:50:29.720 of
00:50:30.100 Catholicism
00:50:30.720 which is
00:50:32.040 quite a
00:50:32.320 trick
00:50:32.540 and again
00:50:33.900 he's
00:50:34.180 choosing to
00:50:34.680 become
00:50:34.900 indignant
00:50:35.280 over a
00:50:35.800 meme
00:50:36.020 this is
00:50:36.660 the red
00:50:37.020 line
00:50:37.340 for him
00:50:37.700 it's
00:50:37.860 not the
00:50:38.320 slaughter
00:50:38.580 of infants
00:50:39.120 that's a
00:50:40.100 red line
00:50:40.580 it's not
00:50:41.140 you know
00:50:41.540 men
00:50:42.120 dressed up
00:50:42.540 as
00:50:42.680 nuns

00:51:00.440 the same
00:51:00.740 line of
00:51:01.000 attack
00:51:01.260 quote
00:51:01.540 to all

00:51:04.460 are you
00:51:05.560 cool
00:51:05.880 with this
00:51:06.320 is this
00:51:07.080 just
00:51:07.360 funny
00:51:07.720 stuff
00:51:08.040 that
00:51:08.180 everyone's
00:51:08.540 laughing
00:51:08.880 at
00:51:09.140 I
00:51:09.780 follow

00:51:10.200 of
00:51:10.320 Catholic
00:51:10.560 priests
00:51:10.860 on this
00:51:11.620 platform
00:51:12.020 I
00:51:12.240 wonder
00:51:12.460 if
00:51:12.640 there
00:51:12.740 will
00:51:12.800 be
00:51:12.900 any
00:51:13.060 response
00:51:13.540 at
00:51:13.680 all
00:51:13.840 to

00:51:14.260 close
00:51:14.640 quote
00:51:14.900 and

00:51:17.440 party
00:51:17.740 is
00:51:17.860 now
00:51:18.040 indistinguishable

00:51:26.120 and he
00:51:26.880 announced

00:51:56.420 like
00:51:56.580 oh
00:51:56.740 we
00:51:57.020 should
00:51:57.200 do

00:51:57.960 it
00:51:58.080 best
00:51:58.460 truly
00:52:00.680 like
00:52:00.960 if
00:52:01.140 the
00:52:01.280 weak
00:52:01.540 Queen

00:52:02.720 I

00:52:03.520 this
00:52:04.060 I
00:52:07.780 don't
00:52:07.920 know
00:52:08.020 I
00:52:08.140 just
00:52:08.280 feel
00:52:08.440 like
00:52:08.580 as
00:52:08.760 a
00:52:08.900 Catholic
00:52:09.320 Trump's
00:52:10.780 feels
00:52:10.940 slightly
00:52:11.640 disrespectful
00:52:12.560 also
00:52:13.200 if
00:52:13.440 Trump
00:52:13.740 really
00:52:14.100 wants
00:52:14.480 to
00:52:14.620 be
00:52:14.780 Pope
00:52:15.040 he
00:52:15.360 should
00:52:15.520 probably
00:52:15.880 stay
00:52:16.180 away
00:52:16.480 from
00:52:16.680 J.D.
00:52:17.080 Vance
00:52:17.440 I
00:52:21.240 mean
00:52:22.300 again
00:52:22.700 it
00:52:23.200 doesn't
00:52:24.060 matter
00:52:24.300 because
00:52:24.660 obviously
00:52:25.180 this is
00:52:25.660 all
00:52:25.980 the
00:52:26.720 outrageous
00:52:27.140 fake
00:52:27.560 but
00:52:27.760 I
00:52:28.140 do
00:52:28.300 have
00:52:28.480 to
00:52:28.620 continue
00:52:28.940 to

00:52:29.760 the

00:52:35.240 is
00:52:35.480 that

00:52:36.180 will
00:52:36.320 be
00:52:36.440 the
00:52:36.640 new
00:52:36.820 Pope
00:52:37.080 he's
00:52:38.160 not

00:53:01.340 now
00:53:03.220 you'll

00:53:10.020 that's
00:53:10.360 pretty
00:53:10.620 insensitive
00:53:11.040 especially
