00:02:47.220 was active on the Tally Hall subreddit.

00:52:11.660 Charlie Kirk. One of the most egregious examples is a

00:52:14.500 nurse at Children's Healthcare of Atlanta. She posted

00:52:17.260 F his kids, F his ancestors, especially the bitch who

00:52:20.440 birthed him. She now joins the long list of people who've

00:52:23.940 been fired for expressing sentiments like these in

00:52:26.900 public. They come from, again, all walks of life. Nurses,

00:52:30.180 airline pilots, corporate executives, government workers,

00:52:32.560 teachers. A public school teacher in Canada reportedly

00:52:35.560 showed a video of the assassination to her students and

00:52:39.180 said that Charlie deserved to die and she's now been

00:52:42.160 suspended. Now, it's the second part, the part where these

00:52:45.720 ghouls experience some small measure of punishment that's

00:52:49.100 given rise to a conversation about cancel culture and

00:52:52.100 accusations from the left and even from some on the right that

00:52:55.440 conservatives are now practicing the very cancel culture that

00:52:59.960 they once decried. By calling for and celebrating the firing of

00:53:04.000 people who applauded Charlie's murder, we have exposed

00:53:06.480 ourselves as hypocrites, they say. We're no different than the

00:53:09.740 ones we condemn. We are now the proponents of cancel culture.

00:53:13.680 What happened is free speech, they demand. How can we call

00:53:16.400 ourselves free speech advocates if we're also advocating for

00:53:19.620 people to experience consequences for saying unimaginably

00:53:22.040 heinous things? Well, allow me to explain. There is a fundamental

00:53:29.680 difference between the cancel culture that the left engages in and

00:53:34.280 the quote-unquote canceling that the right is doing in the wake of

00:53:37.540 Charlie's assassination and the left celebration of it. The

00:53:41.260 difference is that the left will cancel you for saying objectively true,

00:53:45.820 good, and normal things. To the extent that the right cancels you,

00:53:50.420 it'll be for saying objectively abhorrent, perverse, and sick things. And

00:53:56.420 this distinction matters. As I've said for years, the problem with the

00:54:00.600 left's attack on speech is not just that they're attacking speech, but

00:54:05.440 that they're attacking true and right speech. They want you to be fired for

00:54:10.880 saying, for example, that men can't have babies and women don't have

00:54:14.460 penises. The problem isn't simply that they're trying to get you fired for

00:54:18.860 saying something. It's that they're trying to get you fired for saying the

00:54:22.800 most basic and true things that it's possible for a person to say. The left's

00:54:28.740 war on speech is not a war just on speech. It's a war on truth. They want to

00:54:33.260 punish truth. And that will always be worse. Obviously, significantly worse.

00:54:40.460 There is a difference in kind between the statement men aren't women and the statement

00:55:03.500 outrageous lie that not only smears the good name of an innocent man, but also implicitly

00:55:07.760 encourages violence against the millions of people who agree with his politics. That's

00:55:11.460 the difference. And the idea that we can't advocate social consequences against the latter

00:55:21.260 is asinine. The idea that society must treat all speech exactly the same as if it's impossible

00:55:43.580 be made illegal. I don't think that the people celebrating Charlie's death should be banned

00:55:48.880 by the government from saying those things. But I do think it's good that these people lose

00:55:56.500 their jobs. It's good that they are shamed and humiliated and must live with the repercussions

00:56:01.560 for the rest of their lives. It's good if they wake up every day until they die, wishing

00:58:01.900 alienated by society. Not through force of law, not through legislation or legal consequence, certainly not

00:58:10.400 through violence, but through social rejection. Because people who cuss out the children of men

00:58:17.280 who are murdered on live TV deserve to be socially rejected. Because monsters should be treated like

00:58:25.240 monsters and she is a monster. Now the left may now say that even if it doesn't infringe on free speech
