00:00:38.560 attempts on Donald Trump's life. You might think that's an overstatement, or you might think you

00:00:48.180 true at all. So here's the test. What happened on September 6, 2017, during Trump's first term

00:00:54.960 his president. He was in North Dakota to give a speech at a refinery. While he was in transit,

00:01:01.440 a 42-year-old man from North Dakota stole a forklift, drove it into Trump's motorcade route

00:01:05.960 with the intent, according to the state's attorney, of, quote, flipping the limo and killing the

00:01:11.280 president. Now, the plan, as creative as it was, was foiled when the forklift got stuck on a fence.

00:01:18.920 In the end, it was basically a Timu killdozer. Ultimately, the attacker settled for lighting a few buildings on fire. For all this, he received an extremely light sentence, time served, because according to his public defenders, he suffered from attention deficit hyperactivity disorder.

00:02:34.300 people who sent Trump ricin in the mail. These are all cases in which assassins moved well beyond

00:07:36.420 now, is Cole Allen. Now, this is a guy who donated $25 to Kamala Harris and believed pretty much

00:29:46.860 Now, there is zero evidence, zero evidence,

00:29:50.860 that the would-be alleged assassin heard the joke.

00:29:54.860 In fact, authorities say the suspect left California

00:29:56.860 for Washington, D.C. by train on Tuesday,

00:29:59.860 So his trip to D.C. started long before Jimmy Kimmel told this joke on Thursday night,

00:30:06.980 airing this pretend correspondence dinner skit.

00:30:11.700 Earlier today, the first lady tweeted, quote,

00:30:14.020 Kimmel's monologue about my family is in comedy.
