00:03:01.640 Seattle's Space Needle. Three people died, including a 19-year-old who was involved in

00:03:05.840 the shooting. At least four people, including a toddler, were injured. The shooting caused a panic,

00:03:11.040 as you might imagine. Food vendors were running in every direction. Watch.

00:03:16.820 After the Seattle Center shooting at about 6 p.m. Sunday, victims, bite of Seattle attendees,

00:03:22.140 and people across Seattle needed information from city leaders.

00:03:25.460 But they'd have to wait for nearly five hours, waiting for dignitaries.

00:03:37.680 Fox 13 News pressed Mayor Katie Wilson and Police Chief Sean Barnes as to why.

00:03:52.760 Yesterday, I was in Dallas at the National Organization of Black Law Enforcement Executives Conference.

00:04:00.360 Reporters repeatedly asked his team at the scene for answers.

00:04:03.500 Victims were on the ground, covered in white sheets, and officers were everywhere.

00:04:07.340 But we were told little about how deadly the scene was, how many people were hurt, and what danger remained.

00:04:12.780 Yes, at the time of the shooting, the chief of the Seattle Police Department was in Dallas

00:04:20.500 attending a conference for an organization called the National Organization of Black

00:04:25.020 Law Enforcement Executives. And the black police chief was attending this DEI event that was

00:04:31.520 organized exclusively for black law enforcement executives, hence the name. Meanwhile, for more

00:04:37.760 than five hours, no one in Seattle knew how many shooters were on the loose. No one knew how many

00:04:43.240 people had been killed. No emergency alerts or text messages went out. Instead, reporters were

00:04:48.320 told that they had to wait for the arrival of dignitaries. We'll have more on that later. Not

00:04:53.980 to be clear here, because the names can get confusing, I have to admit. We need to distinguish

00:04:58.920 the National Organization of Black Law Enforcement Executives from the National Organization of Black

00:05:05.020 law enforcement. So those are two totally separate things. And those two organizations in turn have

00:05:10.540 nothing to do with the National Association of Black Law Enforcement or the African American

00:05:14.780 Police League, nor should any of those esteemed organizations be confused with the National

00:05:20.320 Black Police Association or a group called Blacks in Law Enforcement of America.

00:11:18.940 name, right? It's not simply a matter of bad timing that he's happened to be in Dallas for

00:11:24.760 this DEI conference while there was a mass shooting in his city. The bigger issue is that

00:11:29.120 like so many other DEI hires, he misses work all the time. In fact, Sean Barnes, his primary

00:11:33.940 residence is in Chicago where his wife and family live full time. He commutes to Seattle for work

00:11:40.140 where he lives in an apartment. So I'll say that again. The DEI police chief of Seattle maintains

00:11:45.400 his primary residence 2,000 miles away in Chicago. He's drawing a salary of more than $370,000 per

00:11:55.240 year, more than three and a half times the average salary in Seattle where he doesn't live.

00:11:59.820 And for all intents and purposes, he's a remote worker. The other day when a reporter named Connor

00:12:05.320 Nash tried to ask Sean Barnes point blank how much time he spends in the city of Seattle where

00:12:10.200 he is, the police chief. Barnes got in the reporter's face and had to be separated from him

00:12:15.120 by his chief of staff. Exactly the kind of impulse control we want from a police chief, right? Watch.

00:13:24.140 Now, it's now clear to everybody in Seattle, even the wine moms, that Sean Barnes has the temperament and work ethic of the local gas station hobo.

00:13:49.680 press conference yesterday when he was asked again how much time he spends in Chicago. He's

00:13:55.520 had time to think about it, come up with a better answer, and let's see how he did.

00:15:48.560 So the money is the limiting factor here. If he had more money, then he could make the trip more

00:15:52.480 often. And then he complains about his rent in Seattle and the affordability crisis, even though,

00:15:56.740 again, he's paid more than $370,000 per year. A year's rent on a high-end one-bedroom apartment

00:16:02.080 in Seattle will run you about $36,000 per year top. So where exactly is his money going?

00:16:11.100 children, then where's the money going? That's not a rhetorical question. The guy claims to be

00:18:34.000 fine that's okay we're not always going to agree there's no question that in terms of popular

00:18:37.340 opinions uh most people online are are you know vehemently anti-flock and anti-surveillance in

00:18:43.560 general. The opposition to flock and similar cameras borders on fanatical for some people.

00:18:49.480 And so then when you try to introduce nuance to the conversation, for those types of people,

00:18:54.420 that's not going to be allowed. You're told that if you support flock cameras, then you're a tyrant.

00:18:57.500 And to be fair, as we discussed, there are some good arguments against flock cameras in particular,

00:19:03.880 mainly arguments that relate to how communists might abuse the cameras if they gain control

00:19:09.260 the government, which is a very valid point. Though, again, those arguments are weakened by

00:19:16.400 the fact that we're under constant surveillance all the time already from privately owned ring

00:19:20.960 cameras, our own cell phones, smart devices, dash cams, et cetera. So you got to factor that in. But

00:19:25.740 that's a perfectly valid and good point. We can't ignore the fact that there are real trade-offs

00:19:33.540 when you side with leftists and take down surveillance cameras. The predictable result

00:19:38.160 is that even when there's a mass shooting in one of the most visible and high traffic locations in

00:19:42.440 the country, the police have no idea who did it. They can't check the cameras. They can't track

00:19:47.660 any suspects or vehicles that might be involved. And exactly what leftists want, of course. They

00:19:52.020 want criminals to run rampant in our country, particularly foreign criminals. In this particular 0.99

00:19:56.540 case, there were some dumb cameras near the Space Needle and stuff. But again, the police are 0.97

00:20:02.840 clearly having trouble using these cameras to track any suspects. More than 48 hours after

00:20:07.420 shooting they're still looking for someone who might be involved and as a result reporters in

00:20:12.540 seattle are starting to ask questions about the plan to eliminate cameras in the city which

00:20:16.160 has been pushed by the city's new socialist mayor the woman who's never had a real job in her life

00:20:21.020 and in response uh she gave a predictably incoherent answer listen

00:20:27.000 say um i've been told that uh the seattle center does have cameras and uh we are in the process of

00:20:34.340 pulling that footage to see if there's anything relevant.

00:20:37.140 Well, to back up on that too, the CCTV cameras have been a real talker.

00:20:43.000 you decided to turn those off pending an audit.

00:21:45.380 active where you see a camera icon. As you can see, there's very little SPD camera coverage

00:21:51.720 in the city by design. The mayor shut down as many cameras as she could in the stadium district

00:21:56.740 as soon as she took office because she did not want to catch criminals. And while the Seattle 0.99

00:22:08.520 venue, the city cameras probably won't be much help because the mayor sabotaged them. Now, in that

00:22:15.040 light, the five-hour delay so that dignitaries could arrive, meaning the socialist congresswoman

00:22:19.560 Jayapal and others, makes a lot more sense. It starts to look intentional as to why the police

00:22:25.380 chief was busy in Dallas and why the police were not providing any updates. It's not really

00:22:31.620 incompetence, it's deliberate. These people do not want to solve crimes, including and especially

00:22:37.600 mass shootings. There are far more interested in PR opportunities. Now watch as a local news

00:22:44.420 reporter named Jeremy Harris pleaded with officers for information only to be told

00:22:48.340 that he had to wait for these dignitaries. Now we played some of this footage earlier,

00:22:53.280 but the longer tape is pretty extraordinary. Here it is.

00:34:14.820 this turn of events. After all, there were apparently no surveillance cameras, no body

00:34:18.680 cameras recording this particular street in Madison. It's a major victory for the no surveillance

00:34:24.560 movement, at least on the surface. But these people don't actually care about surveillance

00:34:28.740 or privacy, which is why not too long ago, they were demanding that every police officer

00:34:33.760 must wear body cams at all times. As you might remember, they were convinced that if body cams

00:34:40.300 were mandated, then they'd provide nonstop footage of white supremacist police officers 0.99

00:46:50.840 intersection, Meyer said, but we also don't want to see a violent clearing of it either. So it's

00:46:55.620 working with all of these parties to find a resolution, which is difficult, which takes time.
