00:00:27.920 It wasn't too long ago, just about four years ago, in fact, that most employees at Microsoft
00:00:35.000 thought they were untouchable. They were working a dream job at one of the biggest and most
00:00:39.700 profitable tech companies on the planet. And they probably assumed reasonably enough that
00:00:44.220 they had some job security. In fact, employees at Microsoft were so thrilled by their good fortune
00:00:49.040 that, like so many other wealthy liberals, they felt a need to apologize for their success in a
00:00:54.160 performative and totally meaningless fashion. To that end, Microsoft employees began opening their
00:00:59.600 company meetings by paying homage to the various primitive tribes that used to exist on the land
00:01:05.460 where Microsoft's campus is currently located. Now, as we all know, these primitive tribes did
00:01:10.460 not create anything on the level of, say, Windows 95. They didn't even have actual windows, as in 0.99
00:01:18.060 the kind of windows that you open to let the light in. That was a level of technological advancement
00:01:22.600 that exceeded their capabilities.
00:01:24.300 They just opened the wood panels in their longhouses
00:01:26.860 when things got too dark inside.
00:01:29.100 Nevertheless, the good men, women, and non-binary folks
00:01:32.960 at Microsoft apparently felt deeply indebted
00:01:35.760 to these so-called indigenous tribes. 0.54
00:01:37.960 So they put on performances like this one
00:01:41.060 at major company events that were broadcast
00:01:44.320 to millions of people.
00:01:47.020 Hello, and welcome to Microsoft Ignite.
00:01:50.500 We've got a big day ahead and lots in store for you.
00:01:54.900 First, we want to acknowledge that the land where the Microsoft campus is situated
00:01:59.900 was traditionally occupied by the Sammamish, the Duwamish, the Snoqualmie, the Suquamish,
00:02:08.020 the Muckleshoot, the Snohomish, the Tulalip, and other Coast Salish peoples since time immemorial.
00:02:15.940 A people that are still here, continuing to honor and bring to light their ancient heritage.
00:02:22.780 My name is Allison Wines. I'm a senior program manager in our developer tools division.
00:02:28.440 I'm an Asian white female with dark brown hair wearing a red sleeveless top. 0.97
00:02:34.240 She even describes her appearance, you know, just in case any blind members of members of the Sammamish or Duwamish tribes happen to be to be listening.
00:02:43.420 It's very thoughtful and inclusive, the kind of gesture you make when you have goodwill to spare. 0.56
00:02:49.380 It's the corporate equivalent of throwing an extra 50 bucks in the collection basket because, you know, you've had a good year.
00:02:54.860 For the 220,000 or so people who work at Microsoft, this was the company culture.
00:03:00.280 And they had a good thing going in some ways.
00:03:05.400 Well, fast forward just a few years later, and things have changed quite a bit.
00:03:09.520 On Monday, Microsoft announced that they're offering buyouts to 60,000 of their 220,000 employees, more than a quarter of their global workforce.
00:03:19.600 Yes, a quarter of Microsoft's workforce just received an offer to leave the company.
00:03:25.140 Now, if for some reason you still don't believe that AI is going to have massive and very rapid impact on the economy in a very short period of time, then this is a story you need to pay attention to. Watch.
00:03:38.080 We also have some breaking news crossing the Bloomberg Terminal.
00:03:41.360 Microsoft is offering buyouts to 60,000 employees.
00:03:45.620 Here with us for the story, Bloomberg's Brody Ford.
00:03:47.980 Brody, what do we need to know?
00:03:50.040 60,000 is a lot of people, right?
00:03:52.520 I mean, we've seen a lot of tech companies try to shed their workforce.
00:03:56.660 The Metas, Googles, Microsofts of the world are betting that they can do more with less people with AI
00:04:02.440 and their cash flow is strained from all this AI spending.
00:04:05.760 And so this is the latest strategy Microsoft is taking to try to get some cost off his books.
00:04:11.620 Now, when you look at the fine print, the deal gets even worse.
00:04:15.820 Employees who accepted the buyout will receive Microsoft's standard severance package,
00:04:21.080 including at least eight weeks of base pay with more based on tenure.
00:04:25.160 So this is not exactly designed to be a tempting offer for most employees.
00:04:30.640 Sometimes you hear about generous buyouts.
00:04:32.920 Well, this is not one of them.
00:04:34.360 If you accept the buyout, you're basically getting control over the precise timing of
00:04:39.280 your layoff, and that's it, nothing more.
00:04:41.820 And in the process, you might be signing away your potential unemployment benefits, which
00:04:46.020 is something you always need to keep in mind when you take a buyout.
00:04:49.660 Now, admittedly, the timing advantage may end up being quite valuable for these employees.
00:04:55.520 This is all voluntary for the moment, but obviously the company is looking to cut their
00:05:00.720 costs dramatically.
00:05:01.580 They clearly don't believe that these workers are essential, and therefore these buyouts will almost certainly become layoffs before long.
00:05:09.840 There are estimates right now that only around 5% to 10% of Microsoft's employees are expected to take this buyout.
00:05:16.820 So it's probably not going to clear enough employees out.
00:05:20.900 And employees at Microsoft seem to recognize that.
00:05:23.960 But take this social media post, for example.
00:05:25.680 It's from a Microsoft employee who just received the buyout, rather the offer in their email, which he believes is a sign that he's going to be laid off soon.
00:05:34.100 So it's apparently only a certain number of employees got the email, even if they were eligible for the buyout.
00:05:40.580 And here's what the employee wrote.
00:05:43.980 Quote, I feel like why the hell did I do so much hard work just to end up in this mess of a job market at a bloated company?
00:05:50.680 I feel like I'm going to puke.
00:05:52.000 My thought process is getting the email means you're on the layoff list. By hook or by crook, we will get rid of you. Thing is, I joined three months ago. I have very low knowledge about the code base. Guys, I feel desperate. What's next? I have three years of experience. That's it. No family business, six months of spending money, nothing more. 0.79
00:06:12.760 now on the one hand reading this you've got to envy the guy for getting a buyout after spending
00:06:19.260 three months at the company normally when you have only three months on the job they just
00:06:23.460 get rid of you uh without any severance package and that's it see you later but in general this
00:06:29.420 is a very sobering and common problem that young americans have and as they're getting laid off
00:06:34.940 they're noticing that h1b visa holders foreigners who microsoft has brought to this country aren't
00:06:42.140 being impacted to any significant degree. In fact, Microsoft currently has thousands of listings for
00:06:48.280 H-1B employees, which at least in theory are supposed to be jobs that Americans can't fill.
00:06:54.860 I saw this screenshot posted by an account on X supposedly leaking some internal Microsoft
00:06:59.820 communications following the big announcement on Monday. I haven't authenticated it, though I have
00:07:04.820 no reason to doubt that it's real, but it really doesn't matter because the point is a good one.
00:07:09.900 And the message reads, quote, if Microsoft is actively encouraging thousands of employees to leave, how should the public reconcile that with claims that the company needs foreign workers because it cannot find sufficient qualified talent in the United States?
00:07:25.800 How can the company credibly maintain that it's not abuse the labor certification process if it's simultaneously trying to reduce its existing workforce while asserting that it needs immigration sponsorship to fill talent shortages?
00:07:37.900 Then there's a dismissive HR lady reply that reads, I believe you still work with immigrant
00:07:44.240 colleagues in your team. That's very interesting. You posted such comment here. So basically,
00:07:49.420 shut up and don't ask any questions. It'd be very racist to notice that at the precise moment, 0.98
00:07:54.940 Microsoft is planning to get rid of a large portion of its workforce. It's also claiming
00:07:59.160 that it desperately needs to look overseas to find talent. Let's take a step back and
00:08:04.940 So pause to consider the implications here. Microsoft has never done a voluntary buyout
00:08:11.420 on this scale before. Very few other companies have. It's reminiscent of GM's massive buyout
00:08:18.700 in 2006 when around 35,000 workers agreed to an early exit. And as far as I could tell,
00:08:24.520 this is the single largest buyout since then. Overnight, one of the largest companies in the
00:08:30.880 world, a place that many college students would kill the work for, just announced that it's happy
00:08:36.480 to get rid of 25% of its workforce. They're exempting a small number of divisions, including
00:08:41.440 cybersecurity, data centers, and marketing. But for the most part, except for the foreigners, 0.98
00:08:46.500 everyone is potentially on the chopping block. Even vice presidents are getting these buyout
00:08:50.900 offers. And we can only assume that the division in charge of land acknowledgements is, you know,
00:08:56.820 may be vulnerable as well. Although maybe not, they're pretty essential. On some level, it might
00:09:02.780 seem obvious what's going on here. It's the same reason that Meta cut 10% of their workforce earlier
00:09:07.780 this year. It's why Oracle got rid of 21,000 jobs or 13% of its workforce. It's why Amazon seems to
00:09:15.140 announce new layoffs like every other day. And that is that AI has made most of these jobs
00:09:21.900 redundant. You know, that's the conclusion that most people are drawing here, and it's probably
00:09:28.020 correct to a certain degree. We also have to acknowledge another possibility, which I haven't
00:09:33.320 seen many people point out, with the exception of a tech CEO named Brad Groh. It's very possible
00:09:40.080 that Microsoft, like so many other AI companies, has realized it's spending a ton of money on AI
00:09:47.040 without any money, anything to show for it.
00:09:50.540 AI is extremely expensive to maintain.
00:09:53.920 You know, as Groh points out,
00:09:55.280 Microsoft has hundreds of billions of dollars
00:09:57.720 of debt on its books due to data center expansion.
00:10:01.680 All of that new construction,
00:10:03.260 which has caused a lot of backlash,
00:10:05.040 which we've covered, isn't cheap.
00:10:08.080 And it's also not cheap to have millions of people
00:10:10.300 asking AI questions all day long
00:10:13.200 when most of them are paying nothing at all
00:10:16.020 or a relatively low monthly subscription fee.
00:10:18.840 So it's quite possible that Microsoft,
00:10:20.340 like other AI companies, including Anthropic,
00:10:22.820 is burning through cash very quickly.
00:10:25.640 And now they're panicking.
00:10:27.700 And it's not just the big players.
00:10:29.340 There's been a lot of investment in AI growth,
00:10:31.800 including investments in smaller companies
00:10:33.560 called neoclouds,
00:10:35.360 which are starting to look dubious right now.
00:10:38.680 And that could mean a much larger market correction
00:10:41.500 is coming.
00:10:42.060 And either way,
00:10:43.360 from the perspective of young employees,
00:10:44.880 the upshot is clear. Industries that seem to provide job security are now downsizing at a
00:10:50.940 record pace. And even in the best case scenario, you have to wonder at a certain point, who's going
00:10:57.020 to have any money to spend on all of these AI products if no one has a job? The reason that
00:11:02.680 corporations like Microsoft are worth trillions of dollars is because they're supposed to generate
00:11:07.740 a lot of future revenue, but it's not remotely clear right now who's going to be able to afford
00:11:13.200 whatever they're going to sell. Between work, errands, and family, we're all pretty busy. And
00:11:19.380 with elections around the corner, it'll be hard to find time to vote. Waiting until election day
00:11:24.120 is a risk, though. A flat tire or a sick child could mean you miss out on making your voice heard.
00:11:30.480 That's why I need you to vote early. Go to gopvotes.org, find your polling place, and bank
00:11:35.980 your vote today. If you live in the critical Senate battleground states of Alaska, Michigan,
00:11:40.520 Maine, Ohio, Iowa, or Texas. Early voting is already underway this week. The radical left
00:11:46.720 has won Democrat primaries across the country, and their turnout machine is ready to swarm the
00:11:51.740 polls this fall. That's why you need a plan to vote too. President Trump is counting on you.
00:11:57.800 Our movement is counting on you. I'm counting on you. Don't wait. Head to gopvotes.org and make
00:12:03.060 your plan to vote early today, paid for by SLF PAC, not authorized by any candidate or candidates
00:12:08.800 committee. Imagine spending years building a business and then one day a customer places an
00:12:14.400 order three times larger than anything you've handled before. That should be great news,
00:12:18.820 except now you need more inventory, more equipment, and probably another employee all before the
00:12:23.240 customer actually pays you. So congratulations, your business is doing so well that you suddenly
00:12:28.480 can't afford to run it. And this is exactly why business owners should know about Cardiff.
00:12:32.960 Cardiff's applications take just three minutes with no impact on your personal credit score.
00:12:38.420 Approval in minutes, funding, same day.
00:12:40.240 They've funded over $12 billion to American small businesses
00:12:43.640 with up to $500,000 in same-day funding available to qualified applicants.
00:12:48.780 If you've been in business for at least a year
00:12:50.520 and generate at least $20,000 a month in revenue,
00:12:53.700 don't let your next big opportunity become your next big headache.
00:12:57.120 Go to cardiff.co slash Walsh.
00:12:59.720 Real growth, fast funding, Cardiff. Borrow better.
00:13:03.720 And maybe no city in the country illustrates the coming AI dystopia
00:13:07.160 more than San Francisco or, you know, the Bay Area in general, where so many of these big tech
00:13:12.320 companies, of course, are headquartered. And one of the reasons we spent so much time talking about
00:13:16.500 France last week is that in many ways, France is a window into what the United States could easily
00:13:22.200 become if the socialists continue to win elections here. France is a case study in how, no matter
00:13:29.120 how much government spending is provided, socialists will always demand more, no matter how
00:13:34.900 high the taxes are. They'll always demand more taxes. France is the number one in the world
00:13:41.460 when it comes to government spending, and they're still pretending that the schools don't get enough
00:13:45.020 money somehow. And by the same token, San Francisco is an illustration of where the so-called AI boom
00:13:51.240 could take us as a society. In terms of its GDP, the Bay Area is dominant. More wealth is generated
00:13:59.140 every year in the Bay Area alone than in all of New England or the Deep South. On a per capita
00:14:04.480 a basis, the Bay Area is wealthier than almost every petro state in the world, including Qatar.
00:14:10.160 And in recent years, because so many AI companies based in the Bay Area, both big and small,
00:14:14.580 have been going public with gigantic IPOs, these people have become wealthier than ever before.
00:14:21.260 San Francisco also has self-driving taxis, grocery stores that automatically charge you
00:14:26.980 for products you take off the shelf. They have robot coffee bars. So this is the epicenter
00:14:32.980 of the AI revolution by any metric.
00:14:37.000 And with that in mind,
00:14:37.980 how are things going in San Francisco specifically?
00:14:42.160 Well, it turns out the left has created
00:14:43.720 such an insane anti-human dystopia in San Francisco
00:14:47.200 that even people making a lot of money,
00:14:51.240 hundreds of thousands of dollars a year or more,
00:14:54.480 apparently need government subsidies to have kids
00:14:57.400 and they still aren't having them.
00:14:59.880 You know, they have more dog daycares
00:15:01.480 than actual daycares in the city.
00:15:03.560 The city is basically billionaires, multimillionaires,
00:15:07.400 and homeless fentanyl addicts at this point.
00:15:10.940 This is from the New York Times.
00:15:12.100 It's an article they published just a few days ago.
00:15:14.780 It says, quote, San Francisco now offers free childcare
00:15:17.460 to families of four, earning up to $235,000 a year,
00:15:22.500 including John Marmon and Natsumi Makiyama.
00:15:28.080 The city pays half the cost of childcare
00:15:30.040 for families making up to $325,000 a year,
00:15:33.180 an eye-popping level that's more than 3.5 times
00:15:35.920 the country's median household income.
00:15:38.440 Rents are higher in San Francisco
00:15:40.100 than in any other large city in the country,
00:15:42.360 according to ApartmentList.
00:15:44.300 The median rent for a two-bedroom apartment
00:15:46.460 is now $4,640, the site said.
00:15:50.060 The median cost of a single-family home in the city
00:15:52.620 tops $2 million.
00:15:54.080 They figured that these days would most likely
00:15:56.840 buy a small, basic house in need of work.
00:16:00.040 So you heard that correctly. The city of San Francisco will pay half the cost of childcare for families making up to $325,000 a year. I mean, that's a household income that in virtually any other state would be pretty comfortable at a minimum.
00:16:19.020 But in San Francisco, making $325,000 a year, you're essentially on welfare.
00:16:26.540 So let's break this down and talk about how exactly this happens.
00:16:31.780 And we're still talking about this same couple, John Marmon and the woman.
00:16:37.180 Quote, each month, the couple pays $6,400 for their home mortgage and $2,200 for two car payments, car insurance and gas,
00:16:46.520 since they're unable to reach their jobs without their vehicles.
00:16:49.720 Cell service and home Wi-Fi is another $300 a month.
00:16:53.180 They put a little each month toward life insurance,
00:16:55.400 their children's college accounts, and retirement.
00:16:57.720 They spend more than $150 each week on groceries
00:17:00.600 and have become coupon clippers
00:17:02.800 who try to make cartons of milk last longer than they used to
00:17:06.920 and who visit different grocery stores on different days scouting for deals.
00:17:11.740 I don't want to say we're rationing,
00:17:13.340 but we're definitely thinking about not using too much.
00:17:16.520 Mr. Marmon said, every grain of rice is eaten. We make sure there's no food waste.
00:17:21.700 I'm the designated garbage disposal for the kids' leftovers.
00:17:26.920 I like the idea that if you make 235 grand in Alabama or something, then, you know, you don't
00:17:32.840 have to worry about all the rice here. You can just leave rice all over the place. There's just
00:17:35.820 piles and piles of untouched rice containers strewn all about the upper-class suburbs of
00:17:41.040 the Deep South. But in San Francisco, every single grain of rice must be consumed or else
00:17:47.440 they'll starve. Now, to be clear, this particular couple is not working in the AI industry. One of
00:17:53.740 them is a therapist and the other is a pediatric nurse. So you might say, well, they're only poor
00:17:58.760 because they're not getting any of the AI money yet. But the truth is, even people who have jobs
00:18:03.760 in the industry are complaining about the cost of living in San Francisco. Quote, San Francisco is
00:18:09.640 so pricey, even some people working in the booming AI industry get City Hall help. Emma
00:18:15.300 Hare, a legislative aide at City Hall, and her husband, who works at an AI startup related to
00:18:20.380 robotics, bring in just over $300,000 per year and qualify for 50% off their son's child care.
00:18:27.000 Ms. Hare's policy brain thinks about whether a city's role is to help the median resident or
00:18:32.980 have a really strong social safety net for the poor, she said. Her mom brain thinks about the
00:18:38.640 opportunities her son will have growing up in San Francisco, the parks, the museums, the culture,
00:18:42.960 the beauty, and has decided that daily stress is worth it. It reminds me of that meme, I love New
00:18:50.080 York where, you know, where else in the world can you get a sandwich? People living in these 0.99
00:18:55.140 extremely overpriced cities truly believe that, you know, like no other place has parks or museums
00:19:02.880 or culture or beauty.
00:19:05.840 And by the way, when they talk about culture in San Francisco,
00:19:09.280 what are they talking about?
00:19:10.740 They're talking about gay pride parades featuring children 0.97
00:19:14.000 and weird dudes walking around, full frontal nudity. 0.98
00:19:19.880 I mean, they're talking about purchasing wombs, 0.76
00:19:22.220 defrauding investors, giving free needles to drug addicts.
00:19:26.380 So to the extent San Francisco has a unique culture,
00:19:29.640 that's kind of what it is.
00:19:31.100 It's not a very desirable culture.
00:19:32.880 I would say. But there's an amusing element in that paragraph where Emma Hare, the legislative
00:19:39.560 aide, wonders whether it's appropriate for her to receive welfare when so many people are homeless
00:19:45.020 and unemployed in her city. Her policy brain has to really ponder that question. But in the end, 0.84
00:19:53.140 shockingly enough, she's happy to take the money. All of the left-wing idealism and all the concerns
00:19:59.000 about wealth inequality and racial equity or whatever suddenly go out the window when the
00:20:04.900 government offers to reduce your child care bill by 50 percent. Even if you're making $300,000 a
00:20:10.480 year, you'll take it. The fentanyl addicts can fend for themselves, I guess. How many of those
00:20:17.340 addicts have children, by the way? Is there any universe in which Emma Hare needs this money more 1.00
00:20:23.200 than the children of homeless fentanyl addicts? Well, maybe there is. You know, San Francisco, 1.00
00:20:30.580 despite all of its wealth, is apparently the kind of place where high net worth individuals
00:20:34.520 need welfare. And that's yet another clear sign, as if we needed it, that the blue state model
00:20:41.760 has totally failed. And this is without even talking about the rest of California, which is
00:20:48.100 somehow in even worse shape, Los Angeles in particular, even the former communist countries 0.82
00:20:54.840 behind the Iron Curtain, by some metrics, are doing a lot better. Now, yeah, they don't have 0.99
00:21:00.760 anywhere near as much money, but on the bright side, the former Eastern Bloc countries have
00:21:05.060 a home ownership rate that sits above 85%. Poland is around 87%. Romania is around 95%.
00:21:11.600 percent. Hungary and Slovakia are over 90 percent. And the vast majority of these homeowners have
00:21:17.860 zero mortgage debt. Meanwhile, in San Francisco, the homeownership rate is below 40 percent.
00:21:23.960 And most of those homeowners have massive debt. And they need welfare, apparently.
00:21:30.040 In terms of crime and violence, it's not even really a contest. Warsaw and Prague are much
00:21:36.340 safer than San Francisco. And they're dramatically safer than some of the worst neighborhoods in
00:21:41.140 San Francisco like the Tenderloin. The public schools are safer too. It's actually kind of
00:21:48.060 remarkable when you think about it. Whether they have money or not, leftists inevitably turn
00:21:52.380 everything they touch into a dystopia. I mean, France is poor. Talked about that last week.
00:21:58.280 It's a dystopia where everybody's on welfare. San Francisco is rich and it's still a dystopia
00:22:05.440 where everybody's on welfare. This is an ideology that's incapable of producing an
00:22:10.820 ideal outcome no matter how many resources you give them. We're seeing the same level of
00:22:16.460 dysfunction in every major American city, all of which are run by the same political party.
00:22:21.860 As the Wall Street Journal reported recently, quote, the number of children under 18 living
00:22:26.700 in big U.S. cities is down 6% in the past decade compared with a 1% decline nationwide.
00:22:33.160 The drop is especially stark among families with little kids.
00:22:36.520 The number of children under age five in big cities fell 15 percent, compared with a drop of 7 percent nationwide.
00:22:44.100 Even cities that are gaining population are losing children.
00:22:47.660 In all, the number of children declined in about two-thirds of the 38 U.S. cities with more than 500,000 residents.
00:22:54.140 now the main self-reported reason that this is happening as you expect is that people think it's
00:23:01.820 too expensive to have kids in just the past decade the percentage of americans who say
00:23:06.120 that raising children is unaffordable has increased by 20 percent when the times did another story on
00:23:13.080 this crisis recently they found that adults in their 30s all had the same complaints
00:23:16.940 quote nearly two dozen people in their early 30s said in interviews that
00:23:21.680 The image of adult life that they had been promised turned out to be a sham.
00:23:26.040 Many work full time and earn enough to cover the cost of basic groceries, even if it means trips to three stores.
00:23:32.080 But their salaries are losing ground to inflation and their health care costs are skyrocketing.
00:23:37.200 They're cutting back on salon visits, social activities and fresh fruit runs, and they feel priced out of adulthood.
00:23:43.460 On Thursday, the long-running Harvard Youth Poll found for the first time in its history that more young Americans expect to fall behind rather than surpass their parents economically.
00:23:54.920 Never trust anybody over 30 was a rallying cry of the 60s.
00:23:59.480 The lead character of 13 going on 30 awoke to a thriving career in a posh apartment.
00:24:04.820 A pop star even used 30 as a meditation on marriage and motherhood.
00:24:09.080 But so much about the lives of Americans has changed during the last three decades.
00:24:13.460 In 1990, a wedding at 26, a baby shower at two by 28, or a first home around 30, was ordinary.
00:24:21.640 But it's not ordinary anymore.
00:24:23.260 And the point here isn't to go into a digression about birth rates.
00:24:25.860 That's a topic for its own monologue.
00:24:28.760 Suffice it to say, the trends are very bad.
00:24:33.040 And paying people to have kids or giving them financial assistance when they do so isn't really working.
00:24:40.540 It doesn't work in California or Hungary or anywhere else it's been tried.
00:24:45.980 You know, I've worked on enough shows and books and films and other projects to know that a good idea only gets you so far.
00:24:51.760 Eventually, someone has to make decisions, organize people, solve problems, take responsibility when the original plan falls apart.
00:24:59.540 That's what leadership actually looks like.
00:25:01.400 And that's why Grand Canyon University's approach to business education makes a lot of sense to me.
00:25:06.320 The GCU treats leadership as service rather than status.
00:25:10.040 That philosophy extends across more than 325 online academic programs that integrate the free market system,
00:25:17.300 a welcoming Christian worldview, and free and open discourse.
00:25:20.640 And in 2025, GCU's online students receive nearly $200 million in institutional scholarships, in addition to federal grants and aid.
00:25:29.700 It's easy to say higher education is outdated or relevant, but at Grand Canyon University, they don't settle for the status quo.
00:25:36.160 they shatter it. GCU's accredited MBA program is 100% online. It's designed to shape leaders
00:25:42.440 through servant leadership. GCU can help you take your passion and scale your business to
00:25:48.020 serve your community. This is purpose-driven education. Take action. Find your purpose.

00:26:57.940 And we have to be honest about the fact that as bad as these trends are, AI is likely to make them substantially worse.
00:27:06.480 We're already well below replacement level, and if these layoffs continue, we'll be close to an extinction-level event within a century.
00:27:14.380 As even the New York Times has acknowledged, with birth rates this low, the only way Democrats can remain in power is to import foreign voters. 0.64
00:27:24.480 And that's, of course, exactly what they're doing.
00:27:26.940 Again, this is a quote from the New York Times, which would call you racist for talking about demographic replacement, even as they acknowledge that that's exactly what's happening.
00:27:34.680 quote, the only three of these large states to have lost population since 2020 are the three
00:27:41.540 reliably blue states. The two biggest red states, Texas and Florida, have experienced population
00:27:46.780 surges. It's almost entirely about domestic migration. About two and a half million people
00:27:52.440 in total left California, New York, and Illinois, and nearly as many arrived from other states in
00:27:57.460 Texas, Florida, Georgia, and North Carolina. To provide more context, California and New York
00:28:03.120 over the past decade have both drawn people from other countries and lost some of their
00:28:07.840 residents to other states. California and New York are the embodiment of the melting pot.
00:28:12.660 Younger people come from around the world and older people leave for the rest of the country.
00:28:18.440 Yes, younger people come from around the world and older people leave for the rest of the country.
00:28:24.520 That's the model that Democrat-run states are running with. And as you can see from this chart,
00:28:33.120 You know, that's exactly what's happening. The Republican states like Georgia and Texas and Florida are the safe havens for liberals fleeing states like New York and California. They're deliberately driving out as many Americans as possible and replacing them with foreigners who will vote Democrat in every election.
00:28:50.620 everyone who remains, including both the foreigners and the diehard leftists who are in love with 0.84
00:28:56.420 San Francisco's culture or whatever, is dependent on welfare to survive. And when people are
00:29:02.640 dependent on welfare, they're going to vote for the party that keeps the welfare checks coming.
00:29:08.900 Even leftists making $300,000 a year are happy to take a welfare check. And indeed, it seems like
00:29:15.660 the entire point of the AI economy in the hands of leftists is to make everyone as dependent on
00:29:21.720 the government as these people are. That's what they've done to their most loyal supporters in
00:29:27.180 San Francisco. It's what they're planning for every major city in the country. In one week,
00:29:34.140 there's a very real chance that Democrats are going to get much closer to realizing that goal.
00:29:40.860 Now, it's not a foregone conclusion, and the polls aren't always accurate.
00:29:46.080 But at the moment, we've got to be honest, they're all trending in the same direction.
00:29:49.580 And regardless, we just saw in Brazil, the left has no problem stealing elections anyway.
00:29:53.960 We know that.
00:29:55.640 Given that we're on the verge of a major economic disruption caused by AI, there's a real potential
00:30:01.520 for Democrats to use any political victory as an opportunity to remake this country in
00:30:07.200 ways most people can't even comprehend.
00:30:10.000 and on that note next week i'll be joining the other daily wire hosts for election coverage
