00:00:00.000 Today on the Matt Wall Show, two people died during the Kenosha riots last night. The breakdown
00:00:04.120 of law and order continues, and this is what happens when the government simply refuses to
00:00:08.240 do its job and protect its citizens like it's supposed to do. Also, five headlines, including
00:00:12.380 the media's hysterical reaction to Nick Sandman's great speech at the RNC convention. Plus,
00:00:18.380 teachers claim they were traumatized by an active shooter drill and now require money to heal their
00:00:24.040 emotional wounds. Funny how that works. And in our daily cancellation, we're going to cancel
00:00:27.820 the esteemed Ray Spader, Jameel Hill. All of that on the way. Lots to cover, but we start here with,
00:00:33.960 unfortunately, the inevitable. Three people shot in Kenosha last night, two fatally,
00:00:38.820 as the violent insurrection, not just a riot, an insurrection, went into its third night in the
00:00:44.340 city. Nationwide, we're on the third month of all of this. Many of the details are still hazy. There's
00:00:49.780 plenty of video out there. I can't play most of it here because it's extremely graphic, but here's
00:00:56.480 what we know. According to reports, and this is crucial context, the ineffectual, useless boob of
00:01:02.420 a governor, Tony Evers, turned down help and reinforcement from the Trump administration
00:01:06.900 to assist in quelling the chaos and the violence. The administration offered it. He said no. Instead,
00:01:12.500 Evers sent in a small National Guard deployment of 250. It was not enough, not nearly enough. The
00:01:19.120 violence escalated as it has been, and armed men, the media is calling them militia,
00:01:24.700 quote unquote, appeared on the scene to protect private property from rioters. It appears that
00:01:30.140 one of the people who came to protect private property wound up shooting and killing two people.
00:01:35.120 There are two separate incidents with multiple videos circulating online. As I said, I can't play
00:01:40.140 them, but if you want to look them up, you can and you can see it. In one video, an armed man can be
00:01:46.660 seen running away from rioters who are pursuing him. One of the pursuers was also armed, apparently.
00:01:52.840 The man who was running trips, falls, and as the rioters, including the armed rioter,
00:01:58.300 lunge at him, he opens fire and hits at least two of them. Now, it seems pretty clear cut that
00:02:03.800 that particular shooting in that case was probably in self-defense. He was trying to get out of the
00:02:09.500 situation. He was being pursued. He opened fire right before he was about to be descended upon and,
00:02:15.060 you know, potentially killed. In another incident, which happened before this one, involving,
00:02:19.820 I believe the same person, someone has shot in the head at a car dealership. The videos that I've
00:02:25.400 seen in that case are far less vivid and conclusive. But in fact, here's one clip I can show because it's
00:02:29.660 not very graphic, but it also isn't very clear. But anyway, take a look and see what you can discern
00:02:35.220 from this. So it appears that, again, the guy with the gun was running away. He was being pursued.
00:02:52.260 Something was thrown at him. You can't tell what it is from my vantage point. It seemed to be something
00:02:56.480 that was on fire, maybe a Molotov cocktail or something along those lines. And then the shooting
00:03:01.540 happened. So again, a lot is still unknown. But here are a few things we do know. Okay.
00:03:08.900 First of all, you will hear that the armed citizens, the militia, are white supremacists.
00:03:16.080 There is simply no information to support that claim right now. And it's a claim being made by
00:03:20.340 people who call anyone who disagrees with or resists the rioters white supremacists. Just to
00:03:26.260 illustrate that point, that they'll call anyone white supremacists, I want to quickly show you this
00:03:30.280 video from the riots on Monday night. Watch this. This poor man got his house, his business caught
00:03:36.320 on fire. I'm sorry, sir. I'm very sorry about that, man. Yeah, really? I, hey, I have nothing
00:03:49.440 to do with that. I'm trying to stop this here. Dude, I'm going to help this guy. I don't give a
00:03:54.040 f*** if I get beat up. They just threw a bottle at this guy.
00:04:10.000 Hey, hey, hey, no, no, no.
00:04:13.960 No, no, no, no, no.
00:04:31.960 Okay, so that's a difficult video to watch.
00:04:44.380 What we appear to have there is an elderly business owner trying to stop looters from
00:04:48.320 burning and ransacking his store.
00:04:50.400 They beat him unconscious and leave his building in flames.
00:04:55.180 And how was this incident characterized by the riot defenders?
00:04:59.600 Well, a noted race-hustling dirtbag by the name of Tariq Nasheed is just a really bad guy.
00:05:05.780 He chimed in about this incident, and look at how he framed it on Twitter.
00:05:09.220 It's what he said.
00:05:10.060 Freedom fighters in Kenosha defended themselves from a suspected white supremacist who was
00:05:14.240 trying to attack black people with an extinguisher as if this was the 1960s still.
00:05:19.060 Notice how the Karen tried to scare the people with retaliation talk.
00:05:22.900 Black people are already being targeted.
00:05:24.660 Okay, so the elderly man trying to stop looters from burning down his business is a suspected
00:05:31.020 white supremacist, and the scumbags who beat him unconscious and stole his stuff are freedom
00:05:37.280 fighters.
00:05:38.680 My point here, again, is simply that when you hear the term white supremacist applied to
00:05:43.540 anyone these days, you can't take it at face value.
00:05:47.040 And that's the first thing about the shootings last night.
00:05:49.200 The second point is that most of the video floating around appears to show that the shootings
00:05:57.080 were self-defense.
00:05:59.160 As I said, one of the incidents is pretty clear.
00:06:01.620 The other one, not so much.
00:06:02.960 But I haven't seen any video that indicates that this was an act of premeditated murder
00:06:07.040 by a white supremacist.
00:06:08.020 That's how it's being characterized, by dishonest race-baiting snakes.
00:06:12.020 But I have not seen any evidence of that, and they haven't presented any evidence of it.
00:06:16.520 But if such evidence is presented in the future, then I'll take it into account and change my
00:06:20.480 opinion accordingly.
00:06:21.280 I actually will change my opinion based on facts, unlike a lot of these people who are
00:06:26.140 defending the rioters.
00:06:27.200 So those are the less clear parts and the more sort of tentative parts, based on what
00:06:31.900 we know.
00:06:33.700 There doesn't appear to be any support for the racist white supremacist murder narrative,
00:06:38.120 and there does seem to be plenty of support for the self-defense narrative.
00:06:40.940 But who knows?
00:06:41.880 That can change.
00:06:42.580 We'll see.
00:06:43.560 Now let's get to the even clearer parts of this, though.
00:06:45.800 The things that we can say without any equivocation.
00:06:48.500 Two things there.
00:06:50.020 Number one, people have a right to exercise the Second Amendment while protecting private
00:06:56.640 property.
00:06:57.840 You do not have a right to destroy private property.
00:07:02.300 If you do get shot while in the process of trying to destroy someone else's property or
00:07:07.780 harm them personally, then that will be your fault.
00:07:11.520 We can say this as a general statement.
00:07:15.980 Many of the rioters and insurrectionists believe they have some kind of God-given, sacred, divinely
00:07:20.700 enshrined right to quite literally do whatever they want, wherever they want, to whoever they
00:07:26.300 want, however they want.
00:07:27.900 If a man stands with a gun to stop them from burning down his store or someone else's store
00:07:32.140 or anything else, they feel like this is a personal and direct attack against them.
00:07:35.840 These are people who have been driven mad by their own entitlement.
00:07:40.960 That's the first.
00:07:41.820 Number two, all of this is happening because of a monumental failure of government, unlike
00:07:47.880 anything we've seen in this country in generations.
00:07:50.700 Elected leaders are refusing to do their jobs, refusing to protect their citizens.
00:07:56.420 There is a way to put an end to all of this and restore order.
00:07:59.340 It wouldn't even be that difficult.
00:08:00.680 Easy for me to say, of course, as I sit here.
00:08:03.020 But the point is that there is an established blueprint for these situations.
00:08:07.300 The blueprint has not failed.
00:08:09.420 It's just been ignored.
00:08:11.400 And the blueprint is this.
00:08:13.480 Meet the insurrectionists with overwhelming force.
00:08:16.580 Arrest every single person who throws a brick, lights a fire, breaks a window.
00:08:21.460 Prosecute them to the fullest extent of the law.
00:08:23.840 Put lengthy prison sentences on them.
00:08:25.760 Send the message that anyone involved in this chaos will be sacrificing years of their lives.
00:08:31.780 These scrawny, privileged punks, they don't want to go to prison.
00:08:35.620 They don't want to spend years buying bars with Bubba and the boys.
00:08:38.940 Right now, they know they won't.
00:08:40.460 Even if they're arrested, which most likely they won't be, they'll probably have charges
00:08:43.880 dropped or get fined for a misdemeanor or something.
00:08:46.340 In Portland, they're cycling rioters through the system like a Ferris wheel.
00:08:50.240 You know, arrest them, let them go.
00:08:51.960 Arrest them, let them go.
00:08:53.160 Arrest them, let them go.
00:08:54.100 Round and round and round.
00:08:54.700 Round and round, make that Ferris wheel a one-way ticket and show up.
00:08:58.820 And after you've, you know, before you do that, you have to show up on the streets with
00:09:03.240 aggressive, overpowering force.
00:09:05.200 The rioters, you know, they're out there using umbrellas as shields.
00:09:08.460 It's a game to them.
00:09:09.800 But just to them, to the people who lost their livelihoods, their businesses, their homes,
00:09:13.300 their lives, it's not a game.
00:09:15.460 So make the rioters understand the seriousness of the situation.
00:09:19.120 Make them.
00:09:20.840 The government has the power to make them.
00:09:23.180 It refuses to use it.
00:09:25.720 And our society slips further into the clutches of anarchy because of it.
00:09:30.060 But this is all their fault.
00:09:32.920 And whatever you think about the armed, quote-unquote, militia that's now showing up to fill in
00:09:39.840 the gap, whose fault is that?
00:09:42.300 It's the fault of our elected leaders who have refused to do their jobs.
00:09:48.140 And what we've learned, like so many other things in life, if you won't do your job, someone
00:09:54.460 else is going to do it for you.
00:09:55.620 And you might not like the way they do it.
00:09:59.120 Don't want to see that happen?
00:10:01.120 Then once again, do your damned job.
00:10:04.480 Let's go to five headlines.
00:10:05.480 Before we get to the headlines here, you know, the RNC is, we're talking about the RNC in
00:10:15.460 just a second, but it's off to a pretty good start this week, blowing the DNC out of the
00:10:19.180 water in almost every way, especially when it comes to ratings.
00:10:22.160 In fact, reports of Monday night's C-SPAN viewership are six times the opening night of
00:10:26.700 the DNC, which is pretty astounding.
00:10:30.080 Not very surprising, though, given what I was forced to watch last week.
00:10:33.200 I guess I'm not, I'm not too surprised to see that.
00:10:35.440 Daily Wire is matching this enthusiasm with an even better lineup of all access live to
00:10:39.720 watch the RNC with you at dailywire.com.
00:10:42.020 Starting tonight, 815 Eastern, 515 Pacific, I will be live streaming the entire night of
00:10:48.580 RNC speakers and watching with you, taking your questions and your comments and telling
00:10:54.940 you authoritatively, not just what I think, but also what you should think about this.
00:11:00.860 Don't, don't think for yourself.
00:11:02.160 Okay, let me do the thinking for you.
00:11:04.320 That's, remember, I'm the theocratic fascist dictator.
00:11:06.500 That's the way this is supposed to work.
00:11:08.140 And we'll be hosting more live watch parties every day for the rest of the week.
00:11:11.100 So don't miss out.

00:11:29.940 Go there now.
00:11:31.160 Okay.
00:11:32.560 So number one, uh, uh, number one is day two of the RNC convention last night, as just
00:11:37.900 mentioned, you won't be surprised to learn that my favorite moment was a speech, uh, not
00:11:42.640 from a non, uh, not from a politician because my theory that politicians never give interesting
00:11:48.700 speeches ever has been, in my opinion, confirmed by both conventions.
00:11:53.460 But luckily there's been some non-political speeches that I thought were pretty good.
00:11:57.200 Nick Sandman, the, uh, the kid who was slandered by CNN and other media companies and sued them
00:12:03.200 and forced them to settle the lawsuits.
00:12:04.860 He spoke for several minutes.
00:12:06.560 Uh, he had a lot to say that was quite relevant and important, but I'm going to play just a
00:12:10.100 clip of, of him giving his side of the story, describing from his perspective, what happened
00:12:16.080 on that, uh, fateful day in DC.
00:12:19.120 Watch this.
00:12:20.300 My name is Nick Sandman and I'm the teenager who was defamed by the media after an encounter
00:12:26.180 with a group of protesters on the steps of the Lincoln Memorial last year.
00:12:30.960 Before I begin, I'd like to thank president Trump for the opportunity to share some of my story
00:12:36.220 and why it matters so much to this November's election.
00:12:39.980 In 2019, I attended the March for Life in Washington, DC, where I demonstrated in defense of the unborn.
00:12:47.320 Later that day, I bought a Make America Great Again hat because our president, Donald Trump,
00:12:53.800 has distinguished himself as one of the most pro-life presidents in the history of our country.
00:12:59.160 And I wanted to express my support for him too.
00:13:02.120 Looking back now, how could I possibly imagine that the simple act of putting on that red hat
00:13:09.520 would unleash hate from the left and make myself the target of network and cable news networks nationwide?
00:13:17.380 Being from Kentucky, the birthplace of Abraham Lincoln, my classmates and I visited the Lincoln Memorial.
00:13:24.420 I found myself face-to-face with Nathan Phillips and other professional protesters
00:13:30.300 looking to turn me into the latest poster child, showing why Trump is bad.
00:13:36.340 While the media portrayed me as an aggressor with a relentless smirk on my face.
00:13:42.200 In reality, the video confirms I was standing with my hands behind my back
00:13:46.140 and an awkward smile on my face that hid two thoughts.
00:13:50.120 One, don't do anything that might further agitate the man banging a drum in my face.
00:13:55.620 And two, I was trying to follow a family friend's advice.
00:14:00.460 Never to do anything to embarrass your family, your school, or your community.
00:14:06.600 Before I knew what was happening, it was over.
00:14:10.040 One of Mr. Phillips' fellow agitators yelled out, we got him.
00:14:14.400 It's all right here on video.
00:14:16.640 And we won, Grandpa.
00:14:17.820 So, and then he goes on to talk about cancel culture and how it's, you know, wielded by the media and the left
00:14:23.740 to destroy people they don't like.
00:14:24.980 A very effective speech all around.
00:14:26.340 I mean, this is a guy, you want to talk about victims of the cancel culture.
00:14:28.900 This is one of the classic examples of it.
00:14:32.300 A very, as I said, effective.
00:14:33.820 And the best part is the media just absolutely hated it.
00:14:38.800 This was playing on CNN, which is great.
00:14:41.360 They were just really mad, salty, as the kids would say.
00:14:43.880 And so they lashed out again, just spewing vitriol at this kid.
00:14:47.600 Many examples I could show, but let's just go with this one.
00:14:50.140 Joe Lockhart is a CNN contributor.
00:14:52.480 And he is, I think, very jealous that Nick Sandman gets paid more from CNN than he does.
00:14:57.220 So he tweeted this.
00:14:59.160 I'm watching tonight because it's important, but I don't have to watch this snot-nosed, entitled kid from Kentucky.
00:15:04.940 Talking about Sandman.
00:15:07.060 Snot-nosed, entitled kid from Kentucky is what he calls him.
00:15:09.720 Right, well, Joe, you know, better to be a snot-nosed, entitled kid than a snot-nosed, entitled old fart like you.
00:15:17.620 I mean, if you have to choose between the two, that's really the time to be snot-nosed and entitled as a kid.
00:15:22.960 We all were.
00:15:24.980 But, you know, you're, what, in your 50s, 60s now, and you still are.
00:15:29.860 And the thing is, yes, Nick is entitled.
00:15:32.980 He actually is.
00:15:34.080 Some people are entitled to certain things.
00:15:35.840 He actually is entitled to not be slandered and libeled.
00:15:42.040 Right?
00:15:42.740 He's legally entitled to that.
00:15:45.280 And so if he's coming off as entitled, that's because he has a certain entitlement, a real legal entitlement, that is protection from libel and slander, that was infringed.
00:15:55.000 And that's why now CNN is entitled to pay him for that.
00:15:59.220 That's how it works.
00:15:59.940 Okay, number two, big news here.
00:16:03.720 New evidence was filed in the George Floyd case.
00:16:06.120 It's a document from the Hennepin County medical examiner, Dr. Andrew Baker.
00:16:13.300 And let me read this document to you in full.
00:16:16.820 Here's what it says.
00:16:17.580 It's a short document filed in court.
00:16:19.360 It says on May 31st, 2020, at 7.30 p.m., Assistant Hennepin County Attorney Patrick Lofton and I met with Dr. Andrew Baker on Microsoft Teams.
00:16:28.160 All three of us were at different locations.
00:16:29.660 Dr. Baker said that he had and recently received the final toxicology results from Mr. George Floyd's samples, which were analyzed by NMS Labs.
00:16:37.780 AB shared his screen and showed us the results.
00:16:39.880 He said that where it says hospital blood, those samples are from Mr. Floyd's hospital admissions and were not acquired as autopsy.
00:16:46.980 AB said that these samples are better for determining actual blood toxicity than samples taken at the autopsy.
00:16:51.400 Samples taken at autopsy may have undergone post-mortem distribution, whatever that means.
00:16:56.600 AB walked us down the list of substances for which NMS Labs tested.
00:17:00.320 Those values he highlighted were 4-ANPP, a precursor and metabolite of fentanyl present in Mr. Floyd's blood, methamphetamine,
00:17:10.220 which he describes as very near the low end and a stimulant hard on the heart.
00:17:14.060 Fentanyl, he said, that's pretty high.
00:17:17.160 This level of fentanyl can cause pulmonary endema.
00:17:19.860 Mr. Floyd's lungs were 2-3 times their normal weighted autopsy.
00:17:22.520 That's a fatal level of fentanyl under normal circumstances.
00:17:25.600 And then norfentanyl, a metabolite of fentanyl.
00:17:28.680 Mr. Floyd's urine was tested for four things and are redundant.
00:17:32.440 AB said that if Mr. Floyd had been found dead in his home or anywhere else and there were no other contributing factors,
00:17:38.840 he would conclude that it was an overdose death.
00:17:41.180 OK, so he had a level of fentanyl in the system that's fatal under normal circumstances.
00:17:49.840 And under normal circumstances, he would have been ruled an overdose.
00:17:54.160 These seem like important details.
00:17:56.720 Now, you could say, well, this is not a normal circumstances.
00:17:59.860 The arrest, the knee on the neck contributed to it.
00:18:02.800 Yes, but it's hard to see how you sustain a murder charge when a person has potentially fatal levels of a toxin in their body,
00:18:09.900 which they themselves willingly ingested.
00:18:12.660 So more details in that case that are that are interesting.
00:18:15.780 Number three, the Indy Star reports eight elementary school teachers who were shot with airsoft guns execution style during an active shooter training drill last year are suing the sheriff's department that conducted the training.
00:18:26.600 The controversial training drill conducted at Meadowland Elementary School in northern Indiana last year became national news after teachers reported being left bruised, bloodied and traumatized.
00:18:36.740 The lawsuit filed last week in Indiana's northern federal court claims that for white county sheriff, white county sheriff deputies should subject the teachers to verbal threats,
00:18:48.560 expletive and screaming in addition to being struck with plastic pellets fired from airsoft guns.
00:18:53.140 The teachers displayed obvious signs of anguish and physical pain, but were humiliated to find the law enforcement officers joking and laughing at them.
00:19:00.800 Uh, the complaint says the terrifying and inexplicable experience left the teachers with lasting physical and emotional injuries.
00:19:09.460 Let's see.
00:19:10.120 And then it goes on.
00:19:10.940 A first grade teacher was diagnosed with PTSD after this.
00:19:14.220 Uh, it continues.
00:19:15.300 It says eight teachers out of approximately 35 that were present have signed the lawsuit.
00:19:20.360 Um, according to the complaint, the teachers were broken up into small groups and told by sheriff's deputies to line up facing a wall and kneel.
00:19:28.820 Once they were kneeling, an officer shot the teachers across the backs.
00:19:34.200 What?
00:19:36.460 Why?
00:19:37.740 What was the point of this?
00:19:39.160 Um, they were not told to tell the other teacher.
00:19:41.380 They were told not to tell the other teachers waiting in another room for their turn.
00:19:45.060 And, uh, later in the day, teachers were also subject to a series of drills in which they were instructed at different times to hide in classrooms,
00:19:51.960 to try and barricade doors and to throw tennis balls at the officers.
00:19:55.640 Uh, during each drill, officers shot the teachers with airsoft guns, according to the complaint.
00:20:00.860 Uh, then it goes on.
00:20:03.120 Physical and emotional injuries.
00:20:05.240 Uh, according to the complaint, teachers experienced several severe, well, it says several emotional distress.
00:20:11.080 I'm pretty sure it means to say severe emotional distress.
00:20:13.720 Okay.
00:20:14.320 All right.
00:20:14.880 Now, a few points here.
00:20:17.260 Not to laugh at their emotional distress, uh, which I am a little bit.
00:20:20.780 This whole scene just seems completely outlandish.
00:20:24.280 First of all, to say you have PTSD from being shot with a pellet gun is absurd.
00:20:29.660 I'm sorry.
00:20:30.180 I, I've been shot with a pellet gun in my day many times and really doesn't hurt that much.
00:20:35.100 Um, and you know, as long as you don't take a pellet to the eye or anything and that, that could cause problems.
00:20:40.800 So all of this whining about emotional distress is obviously ridiculous.
00:20:45.920 And just a bit of theater from teachers who are looking for a payday.
00:20:50.160 Second, you know, and, and aside from all that, I've never quite understood, even if there's, if there is real emotional distress, how, how do you quantify that in terms of money?
00:21:01.500 How do you put a certain dollar amount on emotional?
00:21:04.920 Well, I, I, I have $50 million worth of emotional distress.
00:21:08.280 I think $50 million would, would heal this, this, this, these, my emotional problem.
00:21:13.120 40 million won't do it.
00:21:14.640 You know, 55 million.
00:21:16.220 I don't need, no, just right there at 50 million.
00:21:17.980 That's what I need.
00:21:18.920 I have, I've looked within myself and realized that $50 million is what will heal me.
00:21:25.200 That's never quite made sense to me.
00:21:26.480 But second, um, these active shooter drills are also completely ridiculous.
00:21:31.860 It, it just seems like a really macabre adult version of cops and robbers.
00:21:37.340 It's fantasy role play in the guise of safety training is what it is.
00:21:40.540 The whole thing is a waste of time and resources.
00:21:43.060 Um, the, you know, why did the teachers need to act out being executed?
00:21:48.360 Like, like what do you need practice for that?
00:21:51.780 Um, and why do the cops need practice doing it?
00:21:55.600 That's a little bit disturbing too.
00:21:56.940 So the whole thing is just, is, is a waste.
00:21:58.600 And the chances that a particular school will actually be the victim of a mass school shooting
00:22:05.420 is, is so vanishingly small that you can't possibly justify the amount of time and energy
00:22:11.300 and resources put into stuff like this.
00:22:13.900 Even if, you know, these kinds of drills were effective, which I don't think they are at
00:22:19.560 all, but, um, now that doesn't mean that schools shouldn't have policies in place in ways to
00:22:25.460 protect themselves.
00:22:26.060 I'm just saying that acting out these role play games, like they're at bootcamp, you
00:22:30.860 know, training to be, to invade some middle Eastern country or something is I think totally
00:22:36.300 ludicrous.
00:22:36.780 And besides, you know, you can give the instructions and tell people what to do without shooting
00:22:43.020 them with airsoft guns.
00:22:44.960 When you do a fire drill, you don't actually like burn people.
00:22:48.740 You don't, you don't, when you, when you do the fire drill, do you light candles and
00:22:52.820 then chase the kids down the hallway and like start singeing their elbows while they're
00:22:57.620 running?
00:22:58.020 No.
00:22:58.700 Um, all you have to do is just tell them, okay, this is what we do.
00:23:01.980 Here's here in case this thing happened, probably won't happen, but if it does, this is what
00:23:05.780 we do.
00:23:07.680 Okay.
00:23:08.320 Thanks.
00:23:08.780 Now I know we can go about our day.
00:23:10.520 And besides the training goes out the window anyway, once the bullets start flying, but most
00:23:15.560 people who are not professional, you know, professional law enforcement, professional
00:23:21.320 in the military, whatever, once the bullets fly, they're just going to panic anyway and
00:23:25.780 do whatever seems the most appropriate in that situation.
00:23:28.620 So even if the scenario you act out actually happens, your little staged production probably
00:23:34.840 won't do any good.
00:23:35.780 And really when it comes down to it, if there's a shooter going around executing people room
00:23:40.920 by room, you know, you can either try to get out of the building or if you have a gun
00:23:47.820 to protect yourselves, you can use that, which I, which I think would be great if schools
00:23:51.600 were able to actually protect themselves in that way.
00:23:53.700 But if you're in the room and you have no gun and you haven't left and the shooter comes
00:24:01.040 in and you know, you're, you're literally backed into a corner and he's the only one
00:24:05.800 armed, um, I, I just don't know that there's any real strategy you can have in place.
00:24:11.860 That's going to prevent horrible things from happening and certainly throwing tennis balls
00:24:14.860 at him.
00:24:15.320 Isn't going to do anything.
00:24:16.900 Um, okay, let's go to number four.
00:24:18.660 Don Lemon of CNN is finally, finally speaking out against the rioting only took him about
00:24:24.320 three months, but finally he has, he's finally realized that it's a problem.
00:24:28.220 It's just, it's not a problem in the way that you probably think it's a problem.
00:24:31.720 Listen to this.
00:24:33.060 I do think that this, what you said, what's happening in Kenosha is a Rorschach test for
00:24:39.860 the entire country.
00:24:41.040 And I think this is a blind spot for Democrats.
00:24:44.680 I think Democrats are ignoring this problem or hoping that it will go away and it's not
00:24:49.080 going to go away.
00:24:50.560 And so unless someone comes up with a solution over the next 73 days or 70, so however many
00:24:58.120 days, 68 days, 68 days.
00:25:00.340 So it's not going to, the problem is not going to be fixed by then, but what they can do.
00:25:06.700 And I think maybe Joe Biden may be afraid to do it.
00:25:10.460 I'm not sure.
00:25:11.340 Maybe he won't.
00:25:12.200 Maybe he is.
00:25:13.060 He's got to address it.
00:25:14.580 He's got to come out and talk about it.
00:25:16.820 He's got to do a speech like Barack Obama did about race.
00:25:20.240 He's got to come out and tell people that he is going to deal with the issue of police
00:25:26.160 reform in this country and that what's happening now is happening under Donald Trump's watch
00:25:31.940 and on Donald Trump's watch.
00:25:33.860 And when he is the president, Kamala Harris is the vice president, then they will take
00:25:39.180 care of this problem.
00:25:40.120 But guess what?
00:25:41.660 The rioting has to stop.
00:25:43.480 Chris, as you know, and I know, it's showing up in the polling.
00:25:47.740 It's showing up in focus groups.
00:25:50.160 It is the only thing.
00:25:51.920 It is the only thing right now that is sticking.
00:25:57.100 And the Democrats tonight stuck with that.
00:26:00.160 Right.
00:26:00.460 And they also stuck with the theme that you said.
00:26:04.140 The coronavirus, you got coronavirus and you have Kenosha.
00:26:08.880 OK, but you see the caveat there.
00:26:10.320 He's speaking out because it hurts Democrats in the polls.
00:26:14.300 That's what he's worried about.
00:26:15.200 He's not worried about people's lives, livelihood, businesses being destroyed.
00:26:19.060 He's worried about the polls, which doesn't surprise me, of course.
00:26:23.020 But it's it is always interesting when they say that stuff out loud.
00:26:26.660 Number five, finally, what we've all been waiting for, really hoping for Aaron Rodgers.
00:26:30.280 has chimed in about the shooting of Jacob Blake and, you know, the social and cultural
00:26:35.360 issues at play as well.
00:26:36.760 And we can all we can all see the matter, I think, more clearly now that the quarterback
00:26:41.940 of the Green Bay Packers has expounded on the issue.
00:26:44.620 So, as I said, we've all been waiting for this and really glad that he's here to pass
00:26:50.000 his wisdom along.
00:26:51.040 Here's what he had to say.
00:26:53.400 I think like, you know, like I said in the video and like we talked about in the video
00:26:58.300 that we put out, there's a systemic problem.
00:27:02.020 And until the problem is fixed, this is going to be an all too common setting in this country.
00:27:10.900 It's obviously it's home, you know, being not far from Green Bay.
00:27:14.900 I'm not going to, you know, comment directly on the video until more facts come out.
00:27:21.500 But, you know, obviously, it's something where you as a as a non police officer, I think
00:27:32.000 a lot of us natural question is, when is lethal force necessary?
00:27:41.280 And again, I think that goes to a systematic problem that needs to be addressed at some
00:27:47.160 point.
00:27:48.040 You know, there's antiquated laws that, you know, are prejudicial against people of color
00:27:53.600 in this state.
00:27:54.580 And I think the governor and his and the folks, you know, at the Capitol need to take
00:28:00.520 a hard look at some of those systems that are in place.
00:28:04.020 Yeah, that just has that has major, major hostage video vibes going on.
00:28:09.340 All of these videos of these athletes like Brett Favre and, you know, others speaking about
00:28:15.720 this, they all have hostage video vibes, but nothing quite like this.
00:28:19.000 You can just imagine masked men with guns in the background whispering lines to him, say
00:28:26.020 systemic racism, systemic racism, say it.
00:28:29.620 I mean, Rogers is he's just going through a list of buzzwords and phrases that he probably
00:28:35.020 picked up when he scanned the BLM website right before going in for the press conference.
00:28:38.740 And he's just sitting there like, um, you know, the thing is, um, there's systemic underlying
00:28:48.900 patriarchal cisgendered privilege, privilege, privilege, uh, contributing to, uh, inequity and
00:29:03.020 racial injustice.
00:29:07.360 By the way, he says that antiquated laws have something to do with it.
00:29:11.080 He mentions antiquated.
00:29:11.840 That's another buzz phrase he picked up.
00:29:14.100 The antiquated laws is antiquated.
00:29:16.500 The laws are antiquated.
00:29:18.920 Uh, uh, uh, Aaron, what does antiquated mean again?
00:29:22.000 Well, it just means, it means they're, they're very, it just means they're antiquated.
00:29:27.360 That's what it means.
00:29:28.340 But what, what does that have to do with the Jacob Blake shooting?
00:29:31.040 What antiquated laws are we talking about?
00:29:32.320 The laws against sexual assault?
00:29:34.080 I mean, that's why there was a warrant for his arrest.
00:29:36.680 I just don't know what laws he's talking about here that have anything to do with it.
00:29:39.580 Well, and he doesn't know either.
00:29:40.760 Of course, he's just, he's just babbling and I'm hoping that it'll be enough to keep the
00:29:46.400 mob from coming after him.
00:29:47.900 And we'll see if it does.
00:29:48.980 All right, let's go to our daily cancellation.
00:29:51.480 Now for our daily cancellation, we're going to be shortened to the point here.
00:29:54.400 I'm, I'm, I'm, I'm late on this, I admit.
00:29:56.600 And part of me was hesitant to perform this cancellation because it seems so redundant.
00:30:00.120 I mean, why bother canceling Jameel Hill?
00:30:02.560 She's already permanently canceled.
00:30:04.200 Every day is another cancelable offense from her, but this one, I just can't let go.
00:30:08.320 I can't resist.
00:30:09.200 It's the principle of it.
00:30:10.840 So here's the latest from Jameel, a tweet.
00:30:13.040 It says, been reading Isabel Wilkerson's new book, Cast.
00:30:16.920 That's a book about racism in America.
00:30:18.460 I haven't read it.
00:30:19.020 Don't plan to.
00:30:19.980 She says, if you were of the opinion that the United States wasn't nearly as bad as
00:30:23.900 Nazi Germany, how wrong you are.
00:30:26.660 Can't encourage you enough to read this masterpiece.
00:30:29.020 If Jameel Hill calls a book a masterpiece, I'll be pretty sure to avoid it, but nearly
00:30:34.960 as bad as Nazi Germany.
00:30:36.600 Now, obviously the very fact that you can even make this statement without being carted
00:30:39.760 off to a camp somewhere is proof in and of itself that it's completely false.
00:30:43.180 Jameel Hill's entire career at this point is proof that the statement is false.
00:30:47.060 Her existence is focused around complaining about America and the president and telling
00:30:53.300 us how evil our country is.
00:30:55.100 And she does very well for herself.
00:30:57.160 She makes plenty of money, very comfortable.
00:30:59.180 Let me ask you, how much money do you think you could make or could have made in Nazi Germany
00:31:04.180 if you went into the business of criticizing Germany and Hitler?
00:31:07.700 I mean, how prominent and successful do you think you could have been?
00:31:10.920 Some people did, in fact, do that.
00:31:13.000 It wasn't much of a business and, you know, and they had to do it while they were in hiding
00:31:18.040 and most of them wound up dead.
00:31:19.840 So this cannot be emphasized enough.
00:31:21.680 The first clue that you are not under a fascist dictatorship is that you can go out in public
00:31:26.620 and say we are under a fascist dictatorship.
00:31:30.580 Second clue is that actually in this country, you can do more than that.
00:31:33.300 You can make that statement in the form of burning a building or throwing chunks of concrete
00:31:37.880 at police and you'll probably emerge unscathed.
00:31:41.320 You can go home after a fun night of violent insurrection, pop some, you know, leftover
00:31:45.800 Chinese into the microwave, watch a little Netflix before bed.
00:31:49.360 This should tell you something about the level of fascism in America, namely that the level
00:31:52.740 is zero.
00:31:54.500 Unless we're counting you, yourself, as, you know, the violent bully wreaking havoc and
00:31:59.660 destruction as the fascist, in which case the level of fascism in America is you.
00:32:04.640 And, you know, we could go on for days here, giving other ways in which modern America differs
00:32:11.000 from Nazi Germany because it differs in every conceivable way.
00:32:14.440 Yet Jameel Hill is an allegedly educated person saying this.
00:32:17.900 And lots of allegedly educated people agree and have said similar.
00:32:22.780 So what does that tell us?
00:32:24.480 It tells us, I think, the familiar story.
00:32:26.900 First, that people in this country are woefully ignorant of the basic facts of history.
00:32:31.360 We have reached catastrophic levels of ignorance.
00:32:35.640 Now, people in this country, they know some names, Hitler, Thomas Jefferson, Columbus.
00:32:39.580 And of course, they put all those people on the same moral level.
00:32:42.220 And they know some events, you know, World War II, 9-11, the moon landing, the building
00:32:47.780 of the pyramids, you know, the pilgrims were in there somewhere in between.
00:32:51.980 But they have almost no fleshed out understanding of any of these people or events.
00:32:56.260 And that's because a fleshed out, in-depth understanding, developing a real grasp of a subject, requires
00:33:01.620 you to do things like read full entire books.
00:33:04.680 You want to know about the rise of Nazism in Germany?
00:33:08.460 Well, read The Rise and Fall of the Third Reich.
00:33:10.760 One of the great non-fiction, great history books of all time, in my view.
00:33:14.020 But it's a thousand pages long.
00:33:15.740 And a country full of people who have melted their brains and destroyed their capacity for
00:33:19.640 concentration by ingesting nothing but TV and movies and YouTube videos aren't reading
00:33:23.820 a thousand pages.
00:33:24.580 Or even ten pages.
00:33:26.600 So this is, as I said, crisis, catastrophic levels of ignorance that we're dealing with
00:33:31.100 in America.
00:33:33.820 And yet, you know, people, we would say that we have, we are maybe the most informed society
00:33:42.980 in the history of the world.
00:33:44.340 We certainly have access to more information than any other society ever has.
00:33:48.980 In the modern world, we have access to really all of the accumulated knowledge of mankind.
00:33:56.060 We have access to in these little devices that we carry around in our pockets.
00:34:01.280 So we have access to a lot of information.
00:34:04.000 We are, most of us, very informed in the sense that we have a lot of disjointed bits of trivia
00:34:10.620 and little bits of this and that bouncing around in our noggins.
00:34:13.740 But in terms of real understanding and actual knowledge of events and things that are occurring
00:34:24.500 around us and have occurred in history, we don't have very much of that at all.
00:34:29.500 So that's the first thing.
00:34:30.020 Second thing is, of course, just the immense amount of privilege that you have to have
00:34:37.720 that someone like Jameel Hill must have.
00:34:42.180 She's a well-known, prominent person.
00:34:43.860 I don't know what her net worth is, but I can pretty much guarantee you it's considerably
00:34:48.120 more than the average person's net worth.
00:34:49.920 And as I said, she makes a living just complaining about America and often in quite absurd terms.
00:35:02.620 Very comfortable.
00:35:04.320 And yet she looks at her position in America and what she goes through as equivalent to the
00:35:11.540 persecution of people under Hitler and Nazi Germany.
00:35:13.900 The little bit of discomfort that she faces, you know, in her mind, it may as well be getting
00:35:21.920 shipped off to a concentration camp because she is so privileged.
00:35:27.200 And it's the same story.
00:35:28.640 These rioters and looters, extremely, extraordinarily privileged people who encounter a little bit
00:35:36.740 of pushback, a few obstacles, a few things don't go the way in their lives, and they cannot handle it.
00:35:44.220 To them, it is a crisis.
00:35:47.500 It is a historic persecution.
00:35:50.360 It puts them, you know, in the same category as all of the horrifically oppressed and persecuted
00:35:56.840 people of history.
