Today on The Matt Walsh Show, Mike Pence dominates in the vice presidential debate last night.
00:00:04.380
The media is so desperate to distract from Pence's brilliant performance that they're
00:00:08.260
now accusing him of sexism for debating a woman at a debate against a woman.
00:00:15.980
Also, five headlines including more rioting and looting for perhaps the most absurd reason yet.
00:00:20.980
And in our daily cancellation, I will cancel celebrities who got naked in order to encourage
00:00:27.120
people to vote. But I'm not only canceling them. I'll also be canceling all get-out-the-vote
00:00:32.660
drives. They're all canceled. They all should be abolished. And I'll explain why. But first,
00:00:37.620
let's talk about ExpressVPN. You know, the internet is a place where people feel safe sharing their
00:00:43.260
views. And they should. You know, I certainly share my views all the time here. But the problem is that
00:00:47.840
you can end up getting targeted for your beliefs. You know what big tech and big government have in
00:00:52.360
common? Actually, a lot. But here's one. They both want to silence any dissenting voices into
00:00:58.680
submission. I mean, let's say you're a proud gun owner. You want to talk on social media about the
00:01:03.100
right to bear arms. Well, chances are your post will be flagged by a content moderator and you might
00:01:07.560
end up on some kind of government watch list. You know, you never know. To fight back against having
00:01:12.260
your voice censored by both big tech and big government, I recommend ExpressVPN. When I use
00:01:16.780
ExpressVPN, you know, they can't see my IP address at all. My identity is anonymous. It's made that way
00:01:24.820
by a secure VPN server. Plus, ExpressVPN encrypts 100% of my internet data for protection from hackers
00:01:31.180
and eavesdroppers. ExpressVPN is by far the best VPN I've tried. It's a VPN rated number one by CNET,
00:01:37.860
Wired, countless other tech publications. This is just a smart move. It's the right thing to do. It's
00:01:42.680
what I do, what I do, what you should do. Protect yourself. Give yourself some privacy. Stop letting
00:01:47.560
big tech and big government censor and track you. Defend your rights. Protect yourself at

00:02:06.320
debate now, as I do so from this ritzy hotel room, because I am here in Grove City, Pennsylvania,
00:02:13.560
waiting to speak at Grove City College at seven o'clock tonight. If you're in the area, come on
00:02:18.220
out. And I'm excited to be speaking to people live in person for the first time in months. So that'll
00:02:23.300
be great. Grove City College tonight. Hope to see you there. Now, as for the debate, it was not a
00:02:28.960
surprise, you know, to see Vice President Mike Pence win the debate against Senator Kamala Harris,
00:02:35.260
a woman who threatens at times to make Hillary Clinton appear genuine and likable by comparison.
00:02:41.040
But it was perhaps unexpected to see Pence, in his polite, understated, Midwestern way,
00:02:48.440
dominate and humiliate Harris to such an extent, to such an extent that the mainstream media was
00:02:53.440
forced to make headlines out of the fly that landed on Pence's head for two minutes. Anything to
00:02:59.480
distract from the substance of his performance, anything to avoid the real headline, which is
00:03:03.560
Mike Pence wins big. In fact, the left has been so desperate in the aftermath of the debate
00:03:08.740
that an MSNBC guest went into a lengthy discourse on the fly, eventually concluding that the fly was
00:03:19.460
Well, if this was a normal debate, his behavior would have been scored very, very poorly,
00:03:23.620
would have been on the higher end of weird behavior and not for nothing. I mean, I don't think
00:03:28.980
it's ever a good sign when a fly lands on your head for two minutes. You know, that's a that's
00:03:34.760
a sign all through history of sin and historically, biblically. Maybe you wouldn't normally say this
00:03:41.800
after you wouldn't. It's only safe to say this, sorry, after midnight. But, you know, the fly,
00:03:47.020
he who commands the fly has always been seen historically as the mark of the devil.
00:03:57.120
Now as a journalist, now I have to ask for the record, are you joking? Because the fly could
00:04:04.760
Yes, but it didn't. It landed on Mike Pence and it says something. I don't think karmic about the
00:04:14.660
Now, if we really want to play this game with the fly, then we could talk about the time that
00:04:18.180
Obama nearly had a fly pry its way into his mouth. And, you know, as this photographic
00:04:22.980
evidence confirms. But let's not talk about the fly. The fly was not the only headline to come out
00:04:27.620
of the debate. According to our diligent journalist class, Mike Pence also had one eye that was a little
00:04:33.000
red. This provided fodder for extensive commentary from Forbes, BuzzFeed, Los Angeles Times,
00:04:39.560
and other esteemed publications. Also, Mike Pence's wife, Karen, appeared on stage to
00:04:44.240
congratulate her husband after the debate and was not wearing a mask, which provoked indictments
00:04:49.740
from the Huffington Post, Newsweek, New York Times.
00:04:52.960
Imagine their shock and horror should they learn that Karen Pence also presumably doesn't wear a mask
00:04:57.680
when she sleeps in the same bed as her husband or sits on the sofa next to him to watch TV
00:05:03.660
or spends much of her life in close proximity to him.
00:05:07.320
But the big news, even bigger than the flies and the pink eye, you can believe it, is that Vice
00:05:15.080
President Mike Pence was a sexist for committing the unthinkable sin of debating a woman during a
00:05:21.940
debate against a woman. Right on cue, nearly as soon as the broadcast concluded, Dan Rather and
00:05:28.740
others in the news media were accusing Pence of mansplaining. George Stephanopoulos at ABC also
00:05:35.400
latched on to this mansplaining talking point. Here's what he said.
00:05:39.520
Sarah Fagan, let me bring that to you, because obviously Mike Pence, his former television
00:05:44.140
commentator, does have a very calm demeanor. But I think a lot of people were noticing some
00:05:48.280
mansplaining going on tonight. I don't know. I didn't see it that way, George. It didn't come
00:05:52.780
across to me. Now, notice how he ironically tries to explain about mansplaining to a woman
00:05:58.020
who disagrees with him, which is funny. Also, Major Garrett at CBS gushed with pride, exclaiming that
00:06:05.060
Harris was an inspiration for women everywhere when she asserted herself against the rude man
00:06:11.180
who kept arguing with her, almost as if they were taking part in an event where the whole point is
00:06:16.720
to argue with each other. Here's what he said. I think there was something very stylistically
00:06:21.540
important. And just because it's stylistic doesn't mean it doesn't have weight. I think this will.
00:06:26.740
And back me up on this, Caitlin and Elaine, because I'm sure you heard it as well.
00:06:29.840
When she was being interrupted, Senator Harris did not look at the vice president and say,
00:06:34.960
don't interrupt me. What did she say? I'm speaking now. I think that is an important stylistic
00:06:41.340
difference. She's not giving the vice president an order. Stop interrupting me. She is asserting
00:06:47.200
I'm speaking now. And I think many American women heard that and said, I know what that feels like.
00:06:52.800
I know what that is in that moment. I'm speaking and I should be allowed to speak.
00:06:59.000
And there were more. And NBC presidential historian Michael Beschloss noted that Pence
00:07:04.360
was interrupting not just one woman, but two, both his female opponent and the female moderator.
00:07:10.560
This, he says, shows a lack of respect. Over on CNN, S.E. Cupp was apoplectic,
00:07:17.020
ranting about how Pence's alleged sexism and mansplaining was, quote, infuriating. It made her
00:07:22.800
skin crawl. Here's what she said. Let me just start by saying I know Mike Pence. I've met Mike Pence.
00:07:28.840
I've interviewed Mike Pence. And at one time I found him very impressive. Tonight, he made my skin
00:07:34.780
crawl and I think showed that you can be insulting without using insults. You know, the constant
00:07:43.600
interruptions, the mansplaining, the condescending to both of the women on that stage tonight and the not
00:07:52.260
answering questions, the gaslighting, I found infuriating. And predictably, Congresswoman
00:07:58.100
Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez got in on the identity politics action. OK, she can't let this go away
00:08:03.980
without without having her say. She said that Pence daring to ask questions to Harris was misogynistic
00:08:10.000
and, quote, exemplary of the gender dynamics so many women have to deal with at work. Feminist
00:08:16.260
writer Jill Philopovich claimed bizarrely that it was condescending and sexist for Pence to call
00:08:23.060
Kamala by her name. OK, Jill, many publications such as The Hill extolled Harris's courage in the
00:08:29.740
face of these horrific attacks, celebrated her inspirational, you know, girl power performance
00:08:34.920
on and on and on. Now, this is all nonsense. Of course, the candidates spoke for the same amount
00:08:39.540
of time or Harris actually had more speaking time, depending on which tally you believe. But by no
00:08:44.460
one's count, did Pence hog the stage and take significantly more than his fair share of the
00:08:48.920
speaking time. He did argue with Harris and attempt to explain his point of view. But that, again,
00:08:54.900
is the entire point of a debate. Pence approached this encounter like he did with Tim Kaine in 2016.
00:09:03.840
And speaking of 2016, Donald Trump was frequently accused of sexism for interrupting and talking over
00:09:11.640
Hillary Clinton. Yet Trump did far more of that sort of thing against Joe Biden last week.
00:09:16.880
It seems these men are just debating how they debate, regardless of the gender of their opponent.
00:09:23.420
Indeed, it can be said in general that any woman who is interrupted and talked over by any man is most
00:09:29.420
likely being treated exactly as that man treats other men. It's also how that woman likely treats
00:09:35.980
other men and how she treats other women. It is, to put it simply, just people being people. It is
00:09:42.400
equality. And that's supposed to be what feminists are fighting for. But as we've learned time and
00:09:47.820
again, feminists actually want special treatment, even while clamoring for equal treatment. In a strange
00:09:54.840
way, they have become our culture's great defenders of chivalry. Yet they pretend to hate chivalry
00:10:00.540
and advocate for a version of it while claiming to want the opposite of it. And that's how we end up
00:10:07.100
with a spectacle like last night. They tell us that women are strong and tough and can hang in there
00:10:11.680
against any man and then proceed to wilt like delicate flowers when a woman was subjected to
00:10:16.960
mild push pushback from one of the least aggressive, most polite men in politics. It is an absurd and
00:10:24.240
transparent tactic. But it's all they have. I can only hope that most Americans are too smart to
00:10:31.200
fall for it. Let's get to our five headlines. Speaking of debates, if we must continue speaking
00:10:43.380
of debates, the Daily Wire reports the second presidential debate between President Donald
00:10:47.960
Trump and Democratic nominee Joe Biden will take place virtually with both candidates in separate
00:10:53.220
locations. The Commission on Presidential Debates announced on Thursday. The commission announced
00:10:57.440
the new form after Trump tested positive coronavirus last week. Trump responded to the news minutes
00:11:02.680
later, asserting he would not do a virtual debate. According to a statement from the commission,
00:11:09.780
the second presidential debate will take the form of a town meeting in which the candidates
00:11:12.600
will participate from separate remote locations. The town meeting participants and the moderator,
00:11:16.880
Steve Scully, will be located at the Adrian Arsht Center for the Performing Arts.
00:11:21.740
The White House pool will provide coverage of the second presidential debate. Okay.
00:11:26.440
But Trump says on Fox Business, he was asked about it. And he said, I'm not going to do a virtual
00:11:31.100
debate. I think this is a mistake, personally. I'm probably going to be in the minority among
00:11:37.220
conservatives. I don't know. I'm not really sure if I will be or not. But I think Trump needs to do
00:11:40.500
the debate. He's down in the polls. The last debate didn't go very well for him. He has more
00:11:47.180
to gain from another debate than Biden does. So the strategy of not doing it, I don't really see.
00:11:57.240
You know, and this has been my point. I think it's a little bit of maybe tough love, tough talk
00:12:04.420
for some conservatives and some Trump supporters who are whistling past the graveyard a little bit.
00:12:10.580
And we see all these polls coming out. And almost all of them look bad for Trump, to varying degrees.
00:12:19.000
But what we hear, of course, is that, well, you know, you can't trust the polls. They were wrong
00:12:23.200
in 2016. 2016. Remember 2016? This is how it was in 2016. Everybody said Trump would get killed in
00:12:28.860
2016. And he didn't. 2016. 2016. Yeah, I know. That was 2016, though. That's not 2020.
00:12:36.720
You're never going to win a campaign by pretending that it's four years ago,
00:12:41.260
especially when so much has happened in the intervening years. And especially when there
00:12:47.100
are a lot of obvious differences here. Number one, he's not running against Hillary Clinton anymore.
00:12:51.320
That was a big advantage he had, being that she still is the least likable person on planet Earth.
00:12:55.960
She was also under investigation by the FBI at the time. So, I mean, he couldn't have asked for a
00:13:02.060
better opponent. So he doesn't have that. Now, there are a lot of weaknesses to Joe Biden, but he's not
00:13:06.840
Hillary Clinton. He's not just this viscerally detestable guy. You might not like him. I don't
00:13:12.620
like him. But I'm talking about how he's perceived in the public. It's not like Hillary Clinton.
00:13:17.040
So he doesn't have that going for him. He's not a novelty act anymore. He's the incumbent.
00:13:21.260
And then you add in the economy, coronavirus, riots, everything. Some of that cuts for him,
00:13:27.600
some of it against him. But the point is, it's an entirely different situation. And so if you're
00:13:33.480
telling yourself, ah, it'll be fine, because remember 2016, I think we're making a big mistake.
00:13:39.000
And remember, this is the mistake that a lot of Hillary Clinton supporters made
00:13:43.640
in 2016. It's because they were so confident. Now, I'm going to have a fly problem. It's going
00:13:50.200
to be a fly. But the good thing is, if I have a fly on my head, you won't be able to see it,
00:13:53.060
because I've got... That's Pence's problem. He had white hair, so you could see the fly. Anyway.
00:13:59.680
But Hillary Clinton supporters were so confident that I think many of them didn't show up because
00:14:03.820
they figured that they were going to win. And I think that's a foolhardy confidence you don't
00:14:09.060
want to have. So Trump needs to really try to win. If he doesn't try, he's not going to.
00:14:16.300
And I think that includes doing the debate. Now, that said,
00:14:21.560
objecting to a virtual debate, I think, doesn't make a lot of sense.
00:14:25.720
But I do think there are other reasons, other good reasons to object to a debate.
00:14:31.220
And one thing that Trump could do is take issue with the moderator. I mean, I think that
00:14:35.840
Republicans in general, forget about format, virtual or not, when it comes to the moderators,
00:14:43.000
Republicans in general should be putting their foot down and saying,
00:14:45.740
we are not going to do any more debates, period, at all, until you give us a moderator who is not
00:14:52.120
an unofficial member of my opponent's campaign. It's not an unreasonable demand. The moderator last
00:14:57.580
night, I thought, was even worse than Chris Wells. Absolute embarrassment. A lot of examples of bias.
00:15:03.120
The most biased thing we got, though, from the moderator last night was when she was talking
00:15:09.000
about the Breonna Taylor case. I don't know if you picked up on this. She referred to the police
00:15:13.020
officers breaking in to Breonna Taylor's apartment. They were serving a legal warrant, and she
00:15:19.600
categorized that as a break-in. Just an absurdly biased framing and false framing for the question,
00:15:26.060
but that's what you get from these moderators. Okay, number two. Well, it's Groundhog's Day all
00:15:30.600
over again. More rioting, this time in Wauwatosa, a city in Wisconsin. Here's just one short clip of
00:16:07.180
not to charge the officer with a crime in the shooting of Alvin Cole. Cole, 17-year-old black
00:16:12.220
male, was shot by Officer Joseph Mensah at a shopping mall. The DA says that Cole was armed
00:16:17.560
with a stolen pistol. He had flashed it at somebody during an argument, and then he pulled the gun on
00:16:23.140
the cops, and he actually fired the gun. He hit himself, apparently, in the process, but he pulled
00:16:27.640
a gun and fired it, and that's when he got shot. The officer who shot him, by the way, is black.
00:16:33.700
Okay, he's a black man. But this, somehow, so a black police officer shooting an armed person who
00:16:47.420
pulled a gun on him, that somehow is racist police brutality. A black police officer shooting a guy
00:16:54.180
who points a gun at him is racist police brutality. Well, sure, why not? Because none of these words
00:16:58.140
have any meaning anymore. They have just no meaning. You can use them however you like. The words like
00:17:02.480
racist, police brutality, they should have meaning. In reality, they have meaning, but the way they're
00:17:07.400
used, there's no meaning. You just throw them out. It doesn't matter if it applies or not. I'll have more
00:17:12.100
to say about this case probably tomorrow, so we'll get back to it. Number three from Reuters says,
00:17:16.220
Netflix Incorporated is facing a criminal charge in a Texas county for promoting lewd visuals of a
00:17:21.500
child in the French film Cuties. According to a statement from Tyler County's district attorney,
00:17:25.520
the document filed on September 23rd said Netflix promoted material in the film that depicts lewd
00:17:29.600
exhibition of the public, of the, rather of the pubic area of a clothed or partially clothed child
00:17:34.700
who was younger than 18 years of age, which appeals to the prurient interests in sex.
00:17:43.720
Netflix said in a statement that Cuties is a social commentary against the sexualization of
00:17:48.260
young children. This charge is without merit and we stand by the film. So this is a government
00:17:52.020
enforcing basic standards of decency. I'm all for it. I love it. I think it's a great thing.
00:17:59.000
I'm glad the government's doing it. I wish more local governments would do this.
00:18:04.580
But I do think it's, and this has been the reaction I've noticed from, I haven't seen any
00:18:09.220
conservative object to this. Most conservatives anyway are celebrating this and saying good.
00:18:13.400
But the interesting thing though is I can remember about a year ago when we were talking about laws
00:18:22.160
related to pornography, some of us were making the case that the government should enforce basic
00:18:27.720
standards of decency, especially to protect children. And a whole lot of conservatives had
00:18:32.360
a big problem with that. If there's been a change in heart, that's great. Maybe we're starting to realize
00:18:39.420
that, yeah, protecting children, that sort of thing, that the government does have a role there.
00:18:46.080
All right. Number four, big news here, if I can find it. Oh, here's the big news.
00:18:53.400
Apple is turning the mask emoji frown upside down in an upcoming update to the iOS. This
00:18:59.600
according to CNN. The mask emoji has typically been used to represent someone who is in the medical field
00:19:04.680
or is sick. However, with masks becoming more ubiquitous due to the pandemic, Apple is changing
00:19:09.960
the emojis look in the upcoming, why am I even reading this? Anyway, they've got more mask emojis
00:19:14.480
coming. Okay. That's all. I only bring this up just, just because it's, it's further proof. I think
00:19:19.520
of my point that emojis are stupid. That's all. There you go. Evidence. Number five, finally,
00:19:27.400
Oklahoma County jail employee employees, Gregory Cornell Butler Jr. and Christian Charles Miles have
00:19:32.480
been charged with cruel cruelty and conspiracy for handcuffing inmates and forcing them to listen
00:19:38.180
to baby shark on repeat for hours. Now, as a parent, I'm thrilled to find out that I can actually
00:19:50.140
have my children prosecuted for committing similar crimes against me. I think many parents have, have,
00:19:56.600
have dealt with this. Now, granted, my kids never really got into the baby shark craze.
00:20:01.100
Anyways, thank God for me, it's been the book. Um, we're going on a bear hunt. That is our baby
00:20:09.740
shark. That is the thing that is, that is heard that it reverberates through our household at all
00:20:14.620
hours of the day. All of my kids have been obsessed with this, with this book. Um, they like to have
00:20:19.320
the book read to them. They like to watch videos of other people reading the book. They like to listen
00:20:25.120
to musical renditions of, we're going on a bear hunt. It is, it is torturous. It has ruined my life.
00:20:35.540
We're going on a bear hunt. We're going to catch a big one. What a beautiful day. We're not scared.
00:20:43.140
Uh-oh, grass, long wavy grass. We can't go over it. We can't go under it. Got to go through it.
00:20:49.940
Swishy swashy, swishy swashy, and on and on and on. That's how the book goes, repeating itself
00:20:55.400
for pages and pages. And the book doesn't even make sense, first of all. The onomatopoeias that
00:21:01.700
it uses are completely arbitrary. Swishy swashy for grass? What kind of grass is swishy swashy?
00:21:07.740
And the plot is even worse. The plot is this family, mom, dad, kids, young kids,
00:21:13.420
walking through the woods, trying to catch a bear. What sort of neglectful, psychotic parent
00:21:20.840
brings their kids into the woods to catch a bear? A big bear, it's even specified.
00:21:26.440
This book is basically an account of an attempted murder-suicide. That's how disturbing it is.
00:21:34.280
It might as well be, we're going to go drown ourselves. Yay! It really is that. And it's
00:21:40.740
brainwashed my kids on top of it. Every time we're in the woods now, we go for a hike or something.
00:21:44.520
Every time, my son is saying, let's go on a bear hunt. And I say, oh, you're going to hunt for a
00:21:49.900
bear, huh? With what? We don't even have a hunting rifle. What are you going to use, a stick?
00:21:55.140
The kid's going to get himself mauled. And you know what? It's going to be the fault of this book.
00:22:00.040
So we all have. Every parent has something like that that tortures them. It's different for all of us.
00:22:05.180
Um, okay. Hopefully one day our kids will be brought to justice for inflicting this psychological
00:22:12.700
torture on us. We're going to get to our daily cancellation now. Now today for our daily
00:22:16.940
cancellation, I'm afraid I must play some deeply unsettling footage for you. I wish there was
00:22:21.540
another way. I wish I didn't have to subject you to this, but I'm afraid a mere description will not
00:22:27.340
suffice. So here it is. I'm naked. I'm completely butt ass naked. I'm naked. I'm like naked. There
00:22:36.080
isn't a man behind me. These are my hands. Why you want me to be naked? I know what you're thinking.
00:22:42.440
You're thinking Ruffalo, um, put your clothes on. To be honest, I wish I could cover my hands with my
00:22:48.580
boobs, but here we are. I'm here to talk to you about voting. Did you know that ballots could be naked?
00:22:53.960
And if you don't do exactly what I tell you, your ballot could get thrown out. This is my ballot.
00:22:59.700
Just got it. First of all, when your ballot comes, you're supposed to read the instructions. Read
00:23:04.860
and follow the instructions that come with your ballot. If they say to use a black pen, use a black
00:23:10.740
pen. I know that's like literally the least sexy thing a completely naked person could say, but.
00:23:15.820
But I have crumb like can of Pepsi. Is problem? Number two. In some states like Pennsylvania.
00:23:26.480
Pennsylvania. Pennsylvania. There are two envelopes you have to stuff your ballot in. Otherwise,
00:23:32.440
it's called a naked ballot. Naked ballots. And you don't want to have one of those.
00:23:37.300
Number three. Mail your ballot in as soon as you can. Don't sit on them. Get those things
00:23:45.200
out ASAP. Like now. Do it. Get it in as soon as you can. I gotta get my ballot to the mother
00:23:54.120
f***ing post office. Let's go. Please vote. Take your clothes off and vote. Vote, vote, vote.
00:24:01.640
Everyone's voice matters in this election. Please vote. America needs you.
00:24:09.020
Yes, the celebrities are at it again, I'm afraid, this time naked. And the makers of this particular
00:24:14.900
montage did not appear to be selecting participants based on their physical attractiveness. It seems
00:24:20.440
they were selected based simply on their level of personal desperation and shamelessness.
00:24:24.540
Now, it is somewhat amazing that celebrities keep coming out with these PSAs, particularly this
00:24:29.400
format, the montage of various celebrities saying different words. They keep doing this even though
00:24:34.800
they are roundly mocked and derided every time. Even more perplexing, the same celebrities are often
00:24:41.120
involved. Mark Ruffalo's PSA resume is more extensive than his filmography at this point. It's also more
00:24:47.500
widely viewed, I think. They can't get enough of it. This guy in particular, Mark Ruffalo, he appears to
00:24:54.180
think we can't get enough of him, but we can and we have. In fact, I'm not sure that anyone
00:24:59.220
on earth has at any point ever said to themselves, I'm not sure what to make of this particular issue.
00:25:04.540
I hope Mark Ruffalo releases a PSA. But if such a person does exist, they must be in a near
00:25:10.820
constant state of euphoria because the PSAs never stop. But I want to be clear about something. I am
00:25:17.600
not just canceling these celebrities for this PSA, and I'm not just canceling celebrity PSAs in general,
00:25:22.720
though I am canceling both. My real problem here is that this is a get-out-the-vote PSA,
00:25:29.040
which is my least favorite type. I am canceling all get-out-the-vote efforts, get-out-the-vote
00:25:35.620
videos, PSAs, billboards, campaigns, whatever. They're all canceled. I hate all of them. None of
00:25:41.360
them should exist. And the reason is very simple. If you need naked celebrities or anyone else to
00:25:48.520
tell you to vote and encourage you and even explain how to do it, how to fill in a mail-in ballot or
00:25:54.500
press a button, then you are exactly the sort of person who should not be voting. All of the people
00:26:00.920
who should be voting are the ones who do not need to be told or reminded to do it, much less do they
00:26:06.500
need the process explained to them. That's because they are informed, competent, mature adults.
00:26:12.840
This is the precise category of person that we want at the polls. We don't want anyone else.
00:26:19.760
Any effort to get anyone but informed and competent people to the polls is bad and should be abolished
00:26:25.280
and banned and criminalized. This all goes back to the familiar but still rather new American attitude
00:26:31.680
that sees voting as a sacred duty of all Americans and that, you know, thinks that anyone who votes
00:26:37.560
should be proud of themselves. They should put on an I voted sticker and take a selfie and post it on
00:26:42.340
Instagram and say, look world, I voted. Aren't you proud of me? No, I'm not. And you shouldn't be proud
00:26:50.020
of yourself if you voted just to vote. If you voted just simply because it's your right or your alleged
00:26:55.020
responsibility. No, it's not your responsibility to simply vote. It is your responsibility
00:26:59.980
to make an informed, knowledgeable, well-reasoned vote. That is the only good kind of vote. All
00:27:07.740
other kinds of votes are bad and harmful and helping to destroy our republic. So if you are not informed
00:27:13.980
and not knowledgeable, then the best thing you can do for your country, the most patriotic thing,
00:27:19.020
the most responsible thing is not to vote. If you vote despite being uninformed, then you should be
00:27:25.680
ashamed, not proud of having inflicted your stupidity on the country. So enough of the get
00:27:31.920
out the vote drives. Let the people who know what's going on, who keep themselves informed,
00:27:37.480
who have done the legwork prior to voting, vote. Let everybody else remain in their Dorito stained
00:27:44.600
Netflix stupor. We don't need them on election day. We don't want them. Do your duty, if you're in
00:27:52.100
that category, and stay home, no matter what the naked celebrities tell you.
00:27:59.800
