00:02:25.400 to weaponize the racism label if you don't have to worry about using the label correctly. That's what

00:02:31.260 makes the latest publicity stunt from Yelp so disturbing. Now, Yelp has long been hated by some

00:02:36.620 small business owners who complain that negative reviews on the site can have a significant impact

00:02:41.260 on their business despite being potentially inaccurate or malicious. A recent documentary

00:02:45.660 actually called Billion Dollar Bully claims that Yelp essentially extorts smaller companies

00:02:51.140 demanding that they buy advertising in exchange for minimizing negative reviews. That's what the

00:02:56.960 documentary claims. Yelp denies this charge and even bought the billiondollarbully.com domain name

00:03:02.900 and redirected it to a page on its own site clarifying or claiming anyway that it does not extort

00:03:08.620 small businesses. Now, you can judge for yourself whether buying the domain name of a documentary

00:03:13.300 that accuses you of dishonest tactics is itself a dishonest tactic. What we can say, Yelp's latest

00:03:20.940 innovation, which begs to be exploited by bad actors, is an official business accused of racist behavior

00:03:30.580 alert. The company explained the new system in a series of tweets. Here's what they said.

00:03:34.620 Today, we're announcing a new consumer alert to stand against racism. The last few months,

00:03:39.700 we've seen that there is a clear need to warn consumers about businesses associated with egregious

00:03:44.400 racially charged actions to help people make more informed spending decisions. Communities have

00:03:49.480 always turned to Yelp in reaction to current events, and our user operations team already places

00:03:54.280 alerts on business pages when we notice an unusual uptick in reviews that are based on what someone may

00:03:59.920 have seen in the news rather than on firsthand experience. Now, when a business gains attention

00:04:04.860 for reports of racist conduct, Yelp will place a new business accused of racist behavior alert on

00:04:11.320 their Yelp page to inform users, along with a link to a news article where they can learn more.

00:04:17.100 Now, the alert, which you can see here, and this will pop up for any business under suspicion of racism,

00:04:23.180 racism says in big, bold letters, business accused of racist behavior. And then it explains,

00:04:29.420 recently, someone associated with this business was accused of racist behavior, resulting in an

00:04:33.680 influx of people posting to their views to this page. Racism is reprehensible and has no place on

00:04:39.720 Yelp, and we unequivocally reject racism in any form. Read about the reports of racist behavior here.

00:04:45.740 While we understand the desire to warn others about racist behavior associated with a business,

00:04:50.240 all reviews on Yelp must reflect actual firsthand consumer experience. We have temporarily disabled

00:04:56.320 the ability to post here as we work to investigate the content. What could go wrong? Businesses will be

00:05:04.620 tagged with the scarlet R and then Yelp will investigate to see if the claims are actually true.

00:05:11.100 How will Yelp know if they're true? How will a business owner prove that a supposedly racist thing

00:05:17.560 didn't happen? Or that a supposedly racist statement wasn't made? Classic case of guilty until proven

00:05:25.600 innocent. And here, there's no way at all you could possibly prove your innocence. Keep in mind that

00:05:31.240 racism is not just a vague and ambiguous word these days, but also, according to Black Lives Matter and

00:05:37.720 other proponents of critical race theory, it's a word that applies to all white people inherently by

00:05:43.840 nature of their whiteness. By this way of thinking, any action taken or word spoken by a white business

00:05:50.820 owner is automatically racist at some level because racism is embedded in the structures of whiteness or

00:05:57.480 some such nonsense. It would seem that the only evidence needed to prove a racism charge against

00:06:03.660 a business owner is that business owner's skin color. But not to worry. If you run a small company,

00:06:09.620 you've already been decimated by COVID lockdowns, perhaps rioting mobs on top of it,

00:06:15.440 and are now worried about being labeled a racist by a vindictive customer or hate crime hoaxer,

00:06:20.600 Yelp has resources to help. Yelp has partnered with a group called Open to All, quote,

00:06:26.220 to bring local businesses a new toolkit that allows them to take the next step in creating an inclusive

00:06:31.440 community. The toolkit includes a 60-minute unlearning bias training video for employees,

00:06:37.020 outreach language for customers and employees, social media assets, and more. And for just $10,

00:06:47.380 will convince the woke mob to spare you like the angel of death passing over the homes of the

00:07:50.820 Safety and privacy in bathrooms are important for all of us. It's already illegal to enter a

00:07:56.400 restroom to harm someone, and anyone who does that can and should be arrested.

00:08:01.400 Updaining the law to protect gay and transgender people from discrimination won't change that,

00:08:05.880 but it would help to ensure that people like me aren't mistreated when we need to do something

00:08:10.160 as basic as using the restroom.

00:08:12.440 If you're wondering whether Yelp will be judging racism and discrimination complaints fairly,

00:08:17.800 there's your answer. This is the radical leftist lens through which Yelp, like so many other

00:08:23.660 billion-dollar corporations, views the world. No surprise, given that this is the same company

00:08:29.100 which a few months ago unveiled a new search option, making it easier for users to find and

00:08:34.560 support specifically Black-owned businesses. This is quite blatantly racial segregation and

00:08:40.800 discrimination, but it's the good kind, according to the far left. And potentially destroying innocent

00:08:45.700 business owners by enabling libelers and slanderers to smear them as racists without evidence

00:08:50.980 is also good if it advances the cultural agenda.

00:08:53.880 We can only hope that the first business owner unfairly targeted by the racism alerts will be

00:09:00.720 able to afford a high-priced attorney and can sue Yelp into bankruptcy, because based on this,

00:09:06.840 it seems they certainly deserve it. Let's get to our five headlines.

00:09:51.120 Yes. The 25th Amendment. They'll be talking about how to potentially remove Trump from office

00:09:56.400 with the 25th Amendment. Now, Trump fired back about this. Here's the Daily Wire report. It says,

00:10:01.280 President Donald Trump and prominent Republicans fired back at Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi

00:10:04.460 Thursday afternoon if the Speaker suggested that she and Democrats will hold discussions Friday

00:10:08.240 about the 25th Amendment, presumably to talk over how to potentially remove the president from office.

00:10:13.780 Retweeting a supporter who suggested that Democrats were already plotting to get Trump out if the

00:10:17.880 president wins re-election in November. Trump added that Crazy Nancy should be evaluated for her own

00:10:22.360 mental fitness. Crazy Nancy is the one who should be under observation. They don't call her crazy for

00:10:28.160 nothing, he tweeted. Pelosi announced her event at a weekly press conference, so you just heard that.

00:10:34.000 Later on Thursday, the Hill reports, Pelosi said that she and Representative Jamie Raskin were planning

00:10:43.120 to commission, quote, to determine whether a president is fit for office. Raskin originally

00:10:48.460 introduced legislation in 2017, which did not get any legislative action since Republicans controlled

00:10:53.500 the House at the time, that would create an oversight commission on presidential capacity comprised of

00:10:57.780 physicians, psychiatrists, and retired public officials like former presidents and cabinet secretaries.

00:11:04.000 Congressional leaders would be responsible for naming members of the commission. And then as far as what

00:11:11.340 this would actually entail, like how would you actually do this? Well, Pelosi has an uphill battle

00:11:14.920 according to the 25th Amendment itself, which governs succession if the president's no longer capable of

00:11:18.780 discharging his duties. The vice president and either a majority of cabinet members or a majority of both

00:11:23.760 houses of Congress must agree to depose the president before any action can be taken to replace him. So

00:11:29.320 to summarize, this, of course, isn't really going to happen. They aren't going to depose the president,

00:11:36.460 especially not a few weeks from the election. It's just not going to happen, though it wouldn't

00:11:40.920 happen at any other point either. This is a political stunt and a rather stupid one from the Democrats,

00:11:46.900 I would think. There's just no benefit to them to do this. All this can potentially do is fire up the

00:11:55.300 right wing base. That's the only potential effect here. And by the way, that's what Donald Trump

00:12:03.960 needs to win the election, which, of course, is obvious. Of course, he needs his base. But the point

00:12:08.120 is, you know, I don't think Trump has done a whole lot to appeal to people in the middle. I don't think

00:12:16.540 he's done much there, really. He's playing to his base all the time, exclusively, which I don't think

00:12:23.720 is the best strategy. But that's what he's doing. So if you're the Democrats and you're helping him

00:12:28.680 mobilize the base, not a great not not a great strategy there either. So that's why I say go

00:12:33.620 for it, Nancy, please move forward. There's some conservatives that seem to be upset or angry

00:12:37.660 about this. No, go ahead. This is great. Talk about the 25th Amendment. Talk, talk openly about trying

00:12:43.780 to depose the president. You can't actually do it. But if you want to talk about it, please do.

00:12:50.340 Number two, here's a story that I've been meaning to hit for a few days, but there's an update to it.

00:12:56.520 The story is that a school system in Virginia was going to adopt a speech code banning their

00:13:02.660 teachers from criticizing in public or private the school system's critical race theory program.

00:13:09.720 Or it's or it's sorry, excuse me. It's racial equity program is what we're calling it now.

00:13:13.800 So they weren't going to be allowed to criticize it anywhere on campus or off.

00:13:19.880 So here's the update from the Free Beacon. It says the Loudoun County, Virginia, public schools

00:13:25.020 district will revise a proposed speech policy, which would have prohibited teachers from

00:13:29.280 criticizing the district's racial equity plan following backlash from the teachers union

00:13:33.160 and a Washington Free Beacon report. Leadership from the Loudoun Education Association,

00:13:38.460 the district's largest teachers union, told the Free Beacon that a school board member plans to

00:13:43.460 take the speech policy off of the upcoming board meeting itinerary, effectively stalling

00:13:48.500 any vote. This change will allow the Human Resources Department to revise and review the

00:13:53.060 policy that, as currently written, prohibits employees from criticizing the school district's

00:13:58.520 commitment to action-oriented equity practices in all forms of public and personal communication.

00:14:03.760 And then it goes on from there. Okay, so they're going to revise and review, revise and review the

00:14:14.500 policy. Fine. But even so, the simple fact that this policy was ever being considered, the fact that

00:14:23.800 this is what they want to do, right, it tells you everything you need to know. And it shows, I think it was,

00:14:31.120 I think it was Rod Dreher who made this point about this particular story. It shows again why, you know,

00:14:37.240 you can't pin all your hopes on, all your hopes for the culture on winning presidential elections.

00:14:44.120 Because every election, since I've, since I was born, every election that I can, that I was conscious for,

00:14:50.720 that I can remember, you always had conservatives saying, we need to elect the Republican or America is over.

00:14:56.240 This is it. This is the last election. This is it. Every single election, we hear that, and we're

00:15:01.800 hearing that now too. And every single time they say that, right, but they say, no, no, no, this time

00:15:07.860 it's, it wasn't true before. This, I know I said it before, but this, this, I'm telling you, this time,

00:17:23.140 even get close to it. And elect all the Republican presidents we want. But if we're still doing things

00:17:30.620 like sending our children into these schools to be brainwashed for seven hours a day, it's not going

00:17:36.580 to matter. The culture's lost anyway. How many of the Republicans who are saying, oh, we need,

00:17:45.680 we need a Republican in office or the, how many of them are, are willingly sending their own children

00:17:51.280 children into these government buildings to be brainwashed into things like critical race theory

00:17:56.920 and radical leftist gender ideology? You think Trump is going to, you think Trump's going to save

00:18:03.200 your kid when you're willingly subjecting your child to that? At a certain point, we have to be willing

00:18:44.860 the answer is it's, these are not problems we can solve in a year or two years or five years.

00:22:18.540 pretty compelling. And, uh, he makes the case that we live in a decadent society and he doesn't define

00:22:24.800 decadent the way most people think of it. You know, for him, a decadent society is one that's

00:26:49.560 interrupting Senator Harris. This must be what misogyny looks like. I didn't know what, how to respond.

00:26:55.500 We hugged each other and cried. That's a true story. I mean, that really happened. And the good

00:27:02.020 news at least is that a striking number of people took this completely literally and believed that

00:27:08.120 I actually was making this claim in all sincerity. And that's good because of course I was. It ended up

00:27:15.140 also on a Facebook page called Occupy Democrats Logic, uh, a screenshot of the tweet and thousands of

00:27:21.000 comments there as well. Many of them taking it seriously. And the surprising thing is that, is that

00:27:24.860 even some of the people who took it seriously, apparently knew who I was and yet still read

00:27:29.280 this with no irony, which again is, is, is the right thing. It's correct because I am never

00:27:34.580 sarcastic. I don't believe in sarcasm. It's extremely off-putting, uh, and beneath me, I

00:27:40.500 certainly would not be sarcastic about something like this. The last thing I would ever do is be

00:27:45.440 flippant or sarcastic about the problem of sexism and misogyny. And this is an issue that is deeply

00:27:50.100 personal to me. And you know, if you watch this show that I've always been a passionate advocate,

00:27:54.660 for women's rights, for women's rights and equality, the problem is that many of these

00:28:01.720 comments from people who took it seriously and their messages too, I got a lot of private

00:28:05.580 messages, a lot of, a lot of, a lot of hate mail. Um, a lot of it was quite vicious. The harassment

00:28:10.860 and bullying has been out of hand completely. I, you know, I cried to my daughter about it for hours

00:28:15.600 last night. I cry pretty much every night in front of my children. I think it's important for them to

00:28:20.640 see that their father is emotionally unstable. I want, I want them to know that they never have

00:28:25.220 to worry about toxic masculinity with me because I don't have any kind of masculinity. Better safe

00:28:31.440 than sorry, I say. Now people accuse me of being a bad father. Some accused me of lying about this

00:28:37.920 story. Some said that I am emasculated. Some said that my six-year-old daughter shouldn't be

00:28:44.300 watching the debate at all, much less repeating feminist talking points in response to it. Uh,

00:28:49.620 one private message called me, get this, a sobbing eunuch. Someone else said that I should have CPS

00:28:56.480 called on. Lots of people said that I'm filling my child's head with lies and propaganda. My character

00:29:02.180 was attacked, my integrity, my parenting skills. But you know what? I read many of these comments to my

00:29:10.000 daughter and, and my three-year-old son was also there. And actually he made a great point. I'll

00:29:15.980 never forget this. This is what my three-year-old son, his son said to me. He said, father, dry your

00:29:21.020 tears. Do not be troubled for another man's opinion is irrelevant and ephemeral, but I know who you truly

00:29:28.440 are and nothing they say can change that. And I look back at him, tears again, welling up in my eyes.

00:29:35.240 And I said, stop mansplaining to me, you sexist jerk. And I sent him to his room. It's what had to be

00:29:43.240 done. And so he is canceled. And so is everyone else who bullied me. So it will not stop me from

00:29:52.460 speaking my truth and weeping uncontrollably. So we'll leave there. I think on a, on a bit of a,

00:30:01.580 an emotional and serious note, uh, something for us all to think about as we head into the weekend.
