00:00:00.000 Today on the Matt Wall Show, Trump supporters are ruthlessly attacked while peacefully rallying
00:00:04.580 over the weekend. Once again, the left brings violence and mayhem with them everywhere they go.
00:00:08.680 The dividing line between good and evil in our culture couldn't possibly be clearer than it is
00:00:12.840 right now. Also, five headlines including Dr. Fauci's declaration that masks and social distancing
00:00:17.780 may still be necessary even after a vaccine. Plus, our daily cancellation and much more. All of that
00:00:23.980 on the way. But first, a word from our friends over at LifeLock. You know, it's really important
00:00:29.020 we all spend so much time online. Some of us spend way too much time online. Or at least
00:00:34.600 my wife tells me that about myself. But that's why when you're online, you got to protect your
00:00:39.840 online data. Cyber criminals often hide malware and emails. These deceptive emails can look like
00:00:45.400 real invoices, invites, payment information with a document attached. And they're getting very
00:00:50.580 creative with this and very convincing. Some of these scam emails can, even if you're a savvy
00:00:56.580 you know, internet user. You can still be fooled by some of this stuff. And this is why you got to
00:01:01.580 really pay attention and protect yourself. The attachments can contain text and images that
00:01:05.380 look legitimate. But when clicked on, a pop-up can appear prompting you to click enable content or
00:01:10.160 enable editing. But if you do this, the attachment will install malware on your computer and you don't
00:01:15.320 want that. It's important to understand how cybercrime and identity theft are affecting our lives.
00:01:20.020 This holiday season, you know, you could miss certain identity threats if you're just monitoring your
00:01:23.980 credit or your bank statements. Those are the kind of things we can all do on our own. But LifeLock can
00:01:28.980 do a lot more than that. And that's why you need LifeLock to lead and help in identity theft
00:01:34.100 protection. LifeLock helps detect a wide range of identity threats like your social security number
00:01:38.120 being for sale on the dark web. If they detect your information has been used in the network, they'll send
00:01:43.740 you an alert and they'll help you get everything straightened out. You got to just make sure if you're
00:01:47.500 online that you're protecting yourself. It's very easy. These scumbags online who steal identities,
00:01:52.200 they're very good at it. So you got to make sure to protect yourself. Nobody can prevent all identity
00:01:56.300 theft or monitor all transactions at all businesses. But LifeLock can help you feel warm and protected
00:02:01.800 this holiday season, which is what we all want. So save up to 25% off your first year at
00:02:06.720 LifeLock.com slash Walsh. That's LifeLock.com slash Walsh for 25% off. Well, over the weekend,
00:02:15.100 thousands of Trump supporters rallied in Washington, D.C. They were there in the city for much of the day.
00:02:19.260 Thousands upon thousands of right-wingers, Trump supporters, the dreaded Proud Boys were in
00:02:24.620 attendance as well. I'm sure there were even some QAnon proponents on the scene, I'm assuming.
00:02:29.020 Point is, all of the great villains of society, according to the media, all of the most brutal
00:02:33.700 and extreme people, according to the media, the people who are somehow responsible for the violence
00:02:39.180 and rioting that happens at left-wing protests, according to the media. And yet all day these groups
00:02:44.280 marched, rallied, conveyed their message, and there was no violence, no anarchy, no crime, nothing was
00:02:49.820 burned, no businesses looted. Imagine that. But here's where the coincidence gets really crazy.
00:02:56.460 The violence started as soon as BLM and Antifa showed up. It's almost like the left brings violence
00:03:03.820 with it everywhere it goes. Sorry, not almost like. That is the case. Rioting, looting, chaos,
00:03:10.040 political violence. This is all, nearly 100% of the time, a tool of the left, exclusively.
00:03:17.340 Now, you aren't going to see some of this footage in the mass media, if that's where you get most of
00:03:21.820 your news. So let's play some of it here. I can't play it all, so it's really a matter of choosing
00:03:25.960 which documented instances of evil leftist insanity we're going to focus on right now. We'll start with
00:03:31.880 this. Here we have BLM and Antifa harassing a group of Trump supporters who were eating dinner
00:03:37.460 after the rally. And you'll see them chucking random projectiles at the diners, and then
00:03:42.620 they move on to fireworks. Let's see what that looks like.
00:03:45.400 We're all the dining fucking people!
00:03:48.720 F*** you!
00:03:49.880 F*** you!
00:03:54.040 F*** you!
00:04:07.460 Now, it seems to me that throwing fireworks is attempted murder. You could kill someone doing
00:04:17.960 that, or at least seriously maim them. If we have law and order in this country, I mean,
00:04:23.220 actual law and order instead of just shows called law and order, and tweets that say law and order,
00:04:28.960 in all caps, the people who did that would have been hauled away in cuffs and would right now be
00:04:33.760 facing 20 years in prison. That's the kind of thing, if you do it, your life should be ruined.
00:04:39.980 We need life-ruining consequences for people who assault and attack innocent bystanders,
00:04:44.940 people who engage in political violence, otherwise known as terrorism. But instead,
00:04:49.440 these low-life dirtbags are allowed to go home after their terrorism spree, play some video games,
00:04:54.060 eat the Lunchables their mom stocked in the fridge, sleep in, go out the next night, do it all again.
00:04:59.060 The difference between revolutionaries of the past and these so-called revolutionaries is that
00:05:04.880 the latter, first of all, have no real cause except their own empty nihilism and hatred of
00:05:09.800 everything that's good and true in the world. And second, there are no stakes for them. They risk
00:05:14.600 nothing. They put nothing on the line. They have no skin in the game because nobody's holding them
00:05:19.600 accountable. Now, in this next piece of footage, we have a girl being accosted as she tries to escape
00:05:25.360 to safety, trying to get through the crowd. She's trembling and crying while her leftist
00:05:30.040 harassers pursue her. Watch this and let me know if you can tell who the bad guys are here.
00:05:36.180 Is the bad guy, good guy, divide hard to discern in this situation? Is there any gray area here?
00:05:41.360 You tell me.
00:05:43.500 Oh, this is B****s spectrum sponsors.
00:05:46.980 All you abouts are B****s in here?
00:05:52.140 Hey, B****s!
00:05:53.240 Hey, B****!
00:05:55.180 Back up, back up, back up.
00:06:25.180 Back up, back up, back up.
00:06:55.180 Back up, back up, back up.
00:06:57.180 Back up, back up, back up.
00:06:59.180 That's a go time.
00:07:04.180 Or you know if you're harassing an elderly couple because you don't like their politics.
00:07:08.180 Back up, back up, back up.
00:07:20.180 That's it.
00:07:21.180 Didn't grab you.
00:07:22.180 Get the back right.
00:07:23.180 Get the back right.
00:07:24.180 Get the back right.
00:07:25.180 Get the back right.
00:07:27.180 Get the back right, loser.
00:07:29.180 Goodbye, loser.
00:07:30.180 Get that guy in two years.
00:07:31.180 Get the out of here.
00:07:33.180 Get the out of here.
00:07:35.180 Get the out of here.
00:07:37.180 Yeah, nigga.
00:07:40.180 Get the out of here.
00:07:44.180 Oh my God.
00:07:45.180 You better know it.
00:07:46.180 Come on.
00:07:47.180 Come on down, dad.
00:07:52.180 This, again, is one-sided, okay?
00:08:17.840 The dividing line between right and wrong
00:08:19.380 and our current culture war
00:08:20.260 is perhaps clearer now than it's ever been.
00:08:22.360 Only one side loots and riots.
00:08:23.800 Only one side harasses the elderly.
00:08:25.320 Only one side rips down statues.
00:08:27.120 Almost all of the political violence is on one side.
00:08:29.380 And that also happens to be the side
00:08:30.560 that believes in killing babies
00:08:31.800 and injecting hormones into children.
00:08:34.180 This is not a dispute
00:08:35.340 between simply competing political viewpoints.
00:08:38.420 This is not a mere battle of ideas.
00:08:40.820 This is good versus evil.
00:08:42.780 Nothing less than that.
00:08:44.280 And let's not ever forget that point.
00:08:47.000 And this brings us to something else,
00:08:48.380 another important point.
00:08:50.040 Many conservatives have pointed out
00:08:52.140 that Democrats say they want unity
00:08:53.940 even while doing everything we just saw in those clips.
00:08:56.440 It's clear they don't really want unity.
00:08:58.800 And it's important to make that observation, yes.
00:09:00.580 But to be fair,
00:09:02.320 and also to be clear,
00:09:03.840 I don't want unity either.
00:09:06.400 I don't want to unite with people
00:09:08.000 who harass and assault the elderly.
00:09:10.260 I don't want to unite with BLM
00:09:12.260 or anyone who supports it.
00:09:13.840 I don't want unity with Antifa,
00:09:15.980 even if it was possible,
00:09:17.000 which it isn't.
00:09:18.260 I don't desire unity
00:09:19.580 with infanticidal maniacs
00:09:22.040 or child-abusing scumbags.
00:09:25.060 They don't want unity with me,
00:09:26.860 and that's fine,
00:09:27.880 because I don't want it with them.
00:09:29.760 Let's not act like our feelings are heard
00:09:31.760 because they don't want to be our friends.
00:09:33.900 And that's how it comes across sometimes.
00:09:36.120 When we say,
00:09:36.720 oh, you don't really want unity,
00:09:37.660 why won't you be our friends?
00:09:38.660 I don't want to be their friends.
00:09:40.780 Speaking for myself,
00:09:42.460 that's just not the dynamic here.
00:09:44.620 They're screaming F you at me
00:09:46.500 and all of us,
00:09:47.700 and my response is right back at you.
00:09:49.480 So where does that leave us?
00:09:52.240 If the divisions are so deep
00:09:54.260 that the people on either side of it
00:09:56.380 don't even want to bridge the gap,
00:09:58.120 even in theory,
00:09:59.400 how can we go on?
00:10:00.720 How can we have a functioning society,
00:10:02.260 a real country?
00:10:02.920 How can we be a people
00:10:04.260 rather than just people?
00:10:06.640 The answer is obvious,
00:10:07.860 but nobody wants to admit it
00:10:08.900 or say it out loud,
00:10:09.840 and it's this.
00:10:11.140 We can't.
00:10:12.200 We can't be a real country.
00:10:14.220 We can't be a people.
00:10:15.880 We can't function together as a whole.
00:10:17.920 Not like this.
00:10:20.580 In order for that to happen,
00:10:22.080 one side or the other
00:10:23.180 would have to surrender,
00:10:24.280 would have to give up what defines it,
00:10:26.180 would have to stop being
00:10:27.440 what the other side despises.
00:10:29.520 Short of that,
00:10:30.120 the differences are,
00:10:30.920 as divorce attorneys say,
00:10:31.960 irreconcilable.
00:10:33.660 Is that then where we're headed,
00:10:35.060 to a national divorce of sorts?
00:10:38.280 Now, I don't know.
00:10:39.000 Part of me thinks that's inevitable.
00:10:41.500 The other part of me thinks
00:10:42.460 we don't have it in us,
00:10:43.320 that we'll be fine
00:10:44.800 to just coast along like this
00:10:46.820 as a shell of a country,
00:10:48.020 hating each other,
00:10:48.720 but living together for convenience
00:10:49.900 like Bill and Hillary.
00:10:51.600 Perhaps the internet
00:10:52.700 and streaming and video games
00:10:54.360 all enable us to retreat
00:10:56.300 into virtual worlds
00:10:57.480 and false reality
00:10:58.300 so that the untenable nature
00:10:59.660 of our actual reality
00:11:00.820 continues to seem somewhat tenable.
00:11:03.980 Maybe that's where this goes.
00:11:05.500 Namely, nowhere.
00:11:06.980 In circles.
00:11:07.560 I'm not sure what
00:11:09.460 the distant future holds,
00:11:11.760 but as for the near future,
00:11:13.820 what I will say is this.
00:11:16.540 These BLM and Antifa militants,
00:11:20.000 what they really want to do
00:11:20.840 is they want to punish conservatives
00:11:22.140 for voting for Trump.
00:11:23.640 The goal is to make sure
00:11:24.580 that we never have the audacity
00:11:26.420 to vote for a big, scary bully
00:11:28.840 like Trump ever again.
00:11:30.820 But the dirty little secret
00:11:32.720 is that Trump
00:11:33.900 is not a big, scary bully.
00:11:36.560 He never was.
00:11:39.080 And so I hope that in 2024
00:11:40.700 we actually go and find that guy.
00:11:44.780 Go find the big, scary bully.
00:11:47.300 Go find the guy
00:11:48.640 who is what the left thinks Trump is
00:11:50.720 and elect him, the real deal.
00:11:53.640 I already know what
00:11:54.500 his campaign slogan should be.
00:11:56.360 Let's give them something to cry about.
00:11:58.720 I'd vote for that guy.
00:12:00.700 Might seem a tad aggressive,
00:12:02.220 but the point is
00:12:02.820 I don't intend to give
00:12:04.340 one inch to these people.
00:12:05.340 I don't intend to concede
00:12:07.140 one point.
00:12:09.500 There will not be unity.
00:12:10.980 I know that.
00:12:11.560 And so there's nothing to be gained
00:12:13.060 from making concessions.
00:12:14.520 All we can do now
00:12:15.600 is charge ahead
00:12:16.460 and let the chips fall
00:12:18.380 where they may.
00:12:20.860 Let's get to our five headlines.
00:12:22.120 Okay, so starting here,
00:12:29.640 Dr. Fauci was on CNN yesterday
00:12:32.160 and he wanted to make sure
00:12:33.560 to throw some cold water
00:12:35.740 on any embers of hope
00:12:37.680 that anyone might have.
00:12:38.920 You can't have any hope.
00:12:39.840 No hope is allowed.
00:12:41.420 So here's how that went.
00:12:43.320 Now you've already encouraged
00:12:44.480 Americans to consider
00:12:45.560 canceling any Thanksgiving plans
00:12:47.880 that involve visiting
00:12:49.160 with somebody else
00:12:50.240 or having visitors come.
00:12:51.500 I know a lot of Americans
00:12:52.820 are looking ahead
00:12:53.600 hoping to make plans
00:12:55.040 for other holidays
00:12:55.780 such as Christmas.
00:12:57.040 When do you think Americans
00:12:58.260 will next be able
00:12:59.140 to safely gather together
00:13:01.560 for family events like this?
00:13:04.240 Are you suggesting
00:13:05.240 it probably won't be able
00:13:06.120 to happen until,
00:13:07.060 I don't know,
00:13:08.240 Labor Day 2021,
00:13:09.840 Thanksgiving 2021?
00:13:11.440 Now if I could just jump in here
00:13:12.520 for a second, Jake,
00:13:13.280 if I could briefly.
00:13:14.620 And I know you weren't asking me
00:13:15.940 the question,
00:13:16.380 but I'm going to answer it anyway.
00:13:17.140 Let me say that
00:13:19.300 Americans can gather
00:13:21.800 with their families right now.
00:13:23.440 There's no need to wait
00:13:24.680 until Labor Day
00:13:25.700 or, you know,
00:13:27.380 Christmas 2021.
00:13:28.580 I've been gathering
00:13:29.420 with my family
00:13:30.460 ever since this all began.
00:13:31.780 We had a big family reunion
00:13:32.940 in June.
00:13:34.880 I hate to admit it.
00:13:37.240 I don't know if the feds
00:13:38.360 are going to be busting
00:13:38.820 down my door now,
00:13:39.880 but that's what we did.
00:13:41.280 We've gotten together
00:13:42.160 plenty since then.
00:13:42.960 We've had some kids' birthdays
00:13:44.060 and other events.
00:13:46.460 Everybody was fine.
00:13:47.360 Nobody got sick.
00:13:48.600 Nobody died.
00:13:50.400 Nobody even had a case
00:13:51.540 of the sniffles afterwards.
00:13:53.340 So my point is
00:13:54.460 you can get together now
00:13:56.180 if you want to take charge
00:13:57.240 of your own life,
00:13:58.000 make your own decisions,
00:13:59.440 be an adult,
00:14:00.380 be an American.
00:14:02.020 You could do that.
00:14:03.560 So that's my response to that.
00:14:05.060 But here's Fauci's response.
00:14:06.880 You know,
00:14:07.460 it depends on a number
00:14:08.560 of factors, Jake.
00:14:09.620 For example,
00:14:10.920 we have vaccines now.
00:14:12.520 The first one that came out
00:14:13.620 was highly effective.
00:14:15.140 I anticipate
00:14:15.860 that the second one
00:14:17.420 likely will be comparable.
00:14:19.020 You never can tell
00:14:19.860 until you see the data,
00:14:21.400 but would be comparable.
00:14:22.840 That's great.
00:14:23.720 But we have to get people
00:14:24.940 to take the vaccine.
00:14:26.900 So if we get
00:14:27.620 the overwhelming majority
00:14:29.160 of people taking the vaccine
00:14:31.200 and you have,
00:14:31.860 on the one hand,
00:14:32.600 an effective vaccine,
00:14:34.080 on the other hand,
00:14:34.860 a high degree
00:14:35.740 of uptake of the vaccine,
00:14:37.720 we could start getting things
00:14:39.520 back to relative normal
00:14:41.540 as we get into
00:14:42.420 the second and third quarter
00:14:43.760 of the year
00:14:44.420 where people can start
00:14:45.720 thinking about doing things
00:14:47.220 that were too dangerous
00:14:48.600 just months ago.
00:14:49.960 But we've got to put
00:14:50.940 all those things together,
00:14:52.020 Jake.
00:14:52.240 We can't just wish it happening.
00:14:54.340 We've got to get the vaccine.
00:14:56.060 It's got to be deployed.
00:14:57.280 And we can't abandon
00:14:59.000 fundamental public health measures.
00:15:01.880 You can approach
00:15:02.900 a degree of normality
00:15:04.220 while still doing
00:15:05.560 some fundamental
00:15:06.280 public health things
00:15:07.600 that synergize
00:15:09.160 with the vaccine
00:15:10.320 to get us back to normal.
00:15:12.160 So not until the second
00:15:13.120 or third quarter of 2021,
00:15:14.800 though.
00:15:15.020 Christmas is probably
00:15:16.180 not going to be possible.
00:15:19.320 Yeah.
00:15:20.280 OK, so we have two things there.
00:15:21.780 First of all,
00:15:22.420 we have a Christmas
00:15:23.480 is not going to be possible
00:15:24.840 from Jake Tapper.
00:15:26.460 And the thing is,
00:15:27.500 he said that yesterday
00:15:28.500 and that this clip
00:15:29.640 went viral on Twitter
00:15:31.560 with people accusing
00:15:33.760 Jake Tapper of saying
00:15:35.100 that essentially
00:15:35.760 we have to cancel Christmas,
00:15:36.960 or at least with our families.
00:15:37.960 You can't get together
00:15:38.540 for Christmas
00:15:39.600 with your families.
00:15:40.720 And the spin
00:15:41.700 from people trying
00:15:43.320 to defend Jake Tapper
00:15:44.320 is that,
00:15:44.800 no, no, he didn't say that.
00:15:46.060 What he was trying to say
00:15:47.260 is that it's not going
00:15:48.860 to be possible
00:15:49.280 to have a vaccine
00:15:50.120 by Christmas.
00:15:50.840 Well, no,
00:15:51.300 you heard it right there.
00:15:52.020 That's not what he was saying.
00:15:53.240 He said Christmas
00:15:53.920 is not going to be possible.
00:15:55.340 We can't do Christmas.
00:15:56.800 That's what he said.
00:15:57.660 It was right there in the clip.
00:15:58.620 You heard it for yourself.
00:16:00.800 But again,
00:16:01.900 Jake Tapper
00:16:02.340 doesn't get to cancel Christmas.
00:16:04.560 Dr. Fauci
00:16:05.040 doesn't get to cancel it.
00:16:05.820 The governor
00:16:06.920 of your state,
00:16:07.760 wherever you live,
00:16:08.640 cannot cancel it.
00:16:09.520 They can try,
00:16:10.700 and they are trying,
00:16:12.100 but they can't actually do it.
00:16:15.580 What needs to happen here
00:16:16.700 is we call their bluff.
00:16:19.000 And I think that's what people
00:16:20.020 should have been doing
00:16:20.560 all along.
00:16:21.500 But especially
00:16:22.040 when it comes to these limits
00:16:23.080 on the numbers of people
00:16:24.260 you can have
00:16:24.820 in your own home
00:16:25.720 for Thanksgiving
00:16:26.640 or Christmas
00:16:27.160 or just in general,
00:16:28.960 call their bluff.
00:16:30.480 Go ahead.
00:16:31.600 If you live up in New York,
00:16:33.280 you know,
00:16:33.620 you have as many people
00:16:34.480 as you want over
00:16:34.940 for Thanksgiving,
00:16:35.860 if Andrew Cuomo
00:16:37.500 really wants to send
00:16:38.960 police
00:16:39.660 busting down your door
00:16:41.900 to cart your in-laws away,
00:16:45.040 which part of that,
00:16:46.120 frankly,
00:16:46.380 seems a little bit appealing.
00:16:47.420 But if he really wants
00:16:49.000 to do that,
00:16:49.680 you know,
00:16:49.860 maybe it's kind of
00:16:50.360 a win-win.
00:16:51.360 You know,
00:16:52.080 on one side,
00:16:52.740 your in-laws get arrested.
00:16:54.360 On the other side of it
00:16:55.240 as well,
00:16:56.120 you know,
00:16:56.540 maybe that will be
00:16:57.880 the thing that finally
00:16:58.520 wakes up the American population.
00:17:00.000 I don't know.
00:17:01.300 So we have that.
00:17:02.260 We also have Fauci
00:17:03.060 saying that
00:17:03.860 even with the vaccine,
00:17:06.800 we still are going
00:17:07.740 to have to
00:17:08.440 have masks
00:17:09.840 and social distancing
00:17:10.860 and all these
00:17:11.640 so-called
00:17:12.680 protective measures.
00:17:14.300 So let's follow
00:17:15.440 the trajectory here
00:17:16.360 with the masks.
00:17:18.780 First,
00:17:19.260 they said,
00:17:20.000 if we try to
00:17:21.060 remember in our heads,
00:17:23.000 originally,
00:17:23.940 they said,
00:17:24.520 don't wear a mask.
00:17:25.880 Now,
00:17:26.160 remember,
00:17:26.880 they didn't just say
00:17:27.740 don't wear a mask.
00:17:29.800 They said,
00:17:30.480 essentially,
00:17:30.740 if you wear a mask,
00:17:31.500 you're a moron.
00:17:32.640 Remember those tweets
00:17:33.480 from the Surgeon General
00:17:34.440 screaming at people,
00:17:36.140 seriously,
00:17:36.540 stop wearing masks,
00:17:37.560 you morons.
00:17:39.040 They didn't say morons,
00:17:40.140 but that was the tone of it.
00:17:41.860 So originally,
00:17:42.540 it was don't wear a mask
00:17:43.360 and then it was,
00:17:44.560 probably you should wear a mask
00:17:45.620 when you're out in public.
00:17:47.800 You know,
00:17:48.480 or,
00:17:48.980 you know,
00:17:49.100 if you're out in a store
00:17:51.000 or something
00:17:51.320 and there's strangers around,
00:17:52.180 probably you should wear a mask.
00:17:53.720 And then it was,
00:17:54.320 probably you should wear a mask
00:17:55.200 outside too.
00:17:57.140 And then it was,
00:17:57.820 you should just wear masks
00:17:58.580 all the time.
00:18:00.280 And now they're saying,
00:18:01.340 yeah,
00:18:01.780 you should wear masks
00:18:02.480 even with your,
00:18:03.220 when you're with your own family
00:18:04.160 for Thanksgiving.
00:18:05.820 And,
00:18:06.260 oh yeah,
00:18:06.440 we should probably,
00:18:06.920 actually we're going to wear masks
00:18:07.720 even after the vaccine.
00:18:10.180 And we're just going to wear masks
00:18:11.280 forever.
00:18:12.780 Pretty soon it'll be,
00:18:13.720 after you die,
00:18:14.860 wear a mask in the grave
00:18:16.020 because you can never be too careful.
00:18:20.140 Number two,
00:18:20.820 staying on this,
00:18:21.400 on this theme here,
00:18:22.100 Washington State
00:18:22.960 is going into full lockdown again.
00:18:25.120 And in fact,
00:18:25.440 a number of states are,
00:18:26.820 this was the most recent one announced,
00:18:28.960 this in Michigan.
00:18:30.340 So here's the governor of Washington
00:18:31.680 introducing the rehashed measures
00:18:34.040 that didn't work the first time.
00:18:35.560 So let's try them again.
00:18:37.080 So the restrictions
00:18:37.860 we're announcing today,
00:18:38.700 which will be in effect
00:18:39.260 through December 14th,
00:18:40.820 are not as comprehensive
00:18:42.380 or to some degree tough
00:18:43.480 as our stay home order in March.
00:18:46.240 But every part of our state
00:18:47.660 will see rollbacks in some sense.
00:18:49.760 Most will take effect
00:18:50.680 at midnight Monday.
00:18:52.620 This is not forever.
00:18:56.060 This is only for now.
00:18:58.020 Thanks to the brilliance
00:18:58.900 of our medical community,
00:18:59.860 a vaccine is on the way.
00:19:01.500 We need to hold this pandemic down
00:19:03.320 until the Calvary arrives.
00:19:05.800 This is a temporary situation
00:19:07.440 in our state
00:19:08.100 where we seek
00:19:09.180 a permanent healthy condition.
00:19:11.120 And our goal is to keep
00:19:12.120 the most people alive as possible
00:19:13.820 until the vaccine
00:19:14.720 and other therapeutic measures arrives.
00:19:16.800 And that's a task
00:19:17.740 I believe Washington is up to.
00:19:19.780 So here are some parts of our plan.
00:19:21.320 Indoor social gatherings
00:19:23.900 with people from outside
00:19:25.120 your home are prohibited
00:19:26.560 unless they quarantine
00:19:28.140 for 14 days
00:19:29.140 prior to the social gathering
00:19:30.320 or quarantine
00:19:31.860 for the seven days
00:19:32.820 prior to the gathering
00:19:33.720 and receive
00:19:35.140 a negative COVID-19 test result
00:19:37.100 no more than 48 hours
00:19:38.880 prior to the gathering.
00:19:40.560 And they've got a,
00:19:41.220 they released a whole list
00:19:42.260 of what the restrictions are.
00:19:43.920 And I'm looking at it right here.
00:19:46.960 Just, it's a lengthy list.
00:19:51.780 Indoor social gatherings
00:19:53.060 with people from outside
00:19:55.560 your household are prohibited
00:19:56.760 unless they quarantine
00:19:58.740 for 14 days.
00:20:02.020 So they're saying it doesn't,
00:20:03.840 there's not even a limit.
00:20:04.760 It's just, you can't,
00:20:05.300 you can't do it, period,
00:20:07.300 unless they quarantine
00:20:07.960 for 14 days beforehand.
00:20:11.640 Outdoor social gatherings
00:20:13.160 shall be limited to five people
00:20:14.880 from outside your household.
00:20:17.640 Restaurants and bars
00:20:18.520 are closed for indoor
00:20:19.520 dine-in service.
00:20:21.260 Because, you know,
00:20:21.960 these governors,
00:20:23.140 they didn't succeed
00:20:23.960 in completely killing
00:20:24.940 their economies
00:20:25.560 and completely destroying,
00:20:28.120 I mean,
00:20:28.480 they decimated
00:20:29.160 the restaurant industry,
00:20:30.840 but they didn't
00:20:31.220 completely destroy it.
00:20:32.180 Now they're going back around
00:20:33.080 for the kill shot.
00:20:34.440 That's what's happening here.
00:20:36.960 Gyms and fitness facilities
00:20:38.260 are closed.
00:20:41.740 Movie theaters are closed.
00:20:43.140 Just, this is the kind of thing,
00:20:45.220 this is just completely egregious
00:20:47.560 and flagrant.
00:20:51.320 Why close movie theaters?
00:20:52.900 There's just no reason
00:20:53.960 to close them.
00:20:55.200 You could very easily
00:20:56.780 socially distance
00:20:57.720 in a movie theater.
00:20:59.220 A movie theater would be
00:20:59.980 one of the easiest things
00:21:01.220 to keep open
00:21:01.900 because you can easily control
00:21:04.720 the number of people
00:21:05.460 that come in,
00:21:06.000 you spread them out,
00:21:07.360 no problem.
00:21:09.600 It would be very easy to do.
00:21:11.000 They closed bowling alleys.
00:21:13.540 Bowling alleys are closed.
00:21:14.440 Again, no reason for that.
00:21:16.760 It'd be extremely
00:21:17.360 just spread out.
00:21:18.520 I mean, when's the last time
00:21:19.640 you've been in a bowling alley
00:21:20.460 that was completely packed anyway?
00:21:23.280 Maybe have people
00:21:23.960 wear their own shoes
00:21:24.800 in case you're wondering
00:21:25.660 about COVID on the shoes.
00:21:26.820 I don't know.
00:21:28.460 There's just so many
00:21:29.680 really basic things
00:21:30.880 we could do
00:21:31.640 without shutting down
00:21:32.980 these industries.
00:21:34.040 But these governors,
00:21:35.260 almost all of them Democrats,
00:21:36.280 are saying,
00:21:36.660 yeah, forget that.
00:21:37.220 We'll just destroy the industry.
00:21:38.660 Why not?
00:21:39.000 Number three,
00:21:41.880 a report here from The Blaze
00:21:43.000 says actress Melissa McCarthy,
00:21:44.880 known for her roles
00:21:45.640 in comedic films,
00:21:47.280 caved to the outrage mob
00:21:48.740 last week
00:21:49.240 after she was attacked online
00:21:50.580 for donating money
00:21:51.580 to an organization
00:21:52.400 dedicated to ending
00:21:53.520 human sex trafficking.
00:21:55.500 So she's apologizing
00:21:56.500 for giving money
00:21:57.940 to a charity
00:21:58.800 against human sacrificing.
00:22:00.780 All right.
00:22:02.940 So she's a part of a promotion
00:22:06.040 for the new movie
00:22:06.760 Super Intelligence.
00:22:07.720 McCarthy teamed up
00:22:09.080 with HBO Max
00:22:09.820 for 20 Days of Kindness,
00:22:11.920 which is a campaign
00:22:12.660 donating $20,000
00:22:14.560 to 20 different charities
00:22:15.740 over the course
00:22:16.640 of 20 days.
00:22:18.180 So far, so good.
00:22:20.080 Included on the list
00:22:21.180 was Exodus Cry,
00:22:22.620 which is a nonprofit
00:22:23.480 organization
00:22:24.280 dedicated to eradicating
00:22:25.600 sex trafficking.
00:22:28.500 But the Daily Beast
00:22:29.860 got wind of this
00:22:30.960 and they did a hit piece
00:22:31.880 on Exodus Cry.
00:22:33.180 And here's what they said.
00:22:34.460 This is from the Daily Beast.
00:22:35.400 The Daily Beast's
00:22:37.660 Tarpley hit
00:22:38.820 exclusively reported
00:22:39.980 on Thursday
00:22:40.440 that Exodus Cry
00:22:41.180 frames itself
00:22:41.960 as an anti-sex trafficking group,
00:22:43.780 but in reality
00:22:44.380 works to abolish
00:22:45.540 sex work entirely.
00:22:48.260 Oh, the horror.
00:22:49.960 Its founder,
00:22:50.600 Benjamin Nolat,
00:22:51.940 has called abortion
00:22:52.860 a holocaust
00:22:53.780 and homosexuality
00:22:55.380 an unspeakable offense
00:22:56.540 to God.
00:22:57.440 The group has spent years
00:22:58.800 lobbying to criminalize
00:22:59.920 the purchase of sex
00:23:00.860 and recently launched
00:23:02.180 a campaign
00:23:02.640 to shutter porn up.
00:23:03.620 They sound like a great...
00:23:05.080 This is the first time
00:23:05.640 I've heard of Exodus Cry,
00:23:06.460 but I'll tell you right now,
00:23:07.220 I'm going to be donating to them.
00:23:08.460 I'm going to make
00:23:08.920 a handsome donation
00:23:09.600 to Exodus Cry.
00:23:10.300 Sounded great to me.
00:23:13.060 So that's the great offense, though.
00:23:14.520 They not only try to rescue
00:23:16.380 women from sex trafficking,
00:23:18.000 but they also oppose
00:23:19.160 the industries
00:23:19.800 that depend on sex trafficking
00:23:21.880 and that drive sex trafficking.
00:23:24.040 So they want to bail the water
00:23:25.800 out of the boat
00:23:26.840 and plug the leak.
00:23:28.780 Well, that's horrible.
00:23:30.040 That's bigoted.
00:23:30.520 It's better to keep bailing
00:23:32.600 the Titanic out
00:23:34.120 with little mop buckets
00:23:35.380 and thimbles
00:23:36.020 while leaving the iceberg-sized
00:23:38.480 gash in the hull
00:23:39.360 because that's...
00:23:40.360 On the left,
00:23:41.440 when they talk about
00:23:42.120 battling sex trafficking,
00:23:43.520 that's what they want to do
00:23:44.620 because as far as
00:23:46.520 the industries
00:23:47.040 that keep this going,
00:23:48.860 that depend on it,
00:23:49.780 fund it, push it,
00:23:51.540 fuel it,
00:23:52.480 they don't want to do anything
00:23:53.300 with those industries.
00:23:56.360 And so Melissa McCarthy,
00:23:57.280 anyway, brave woman
00:23:58.040 that she is,
00:23:58.680 she got a little bit
00:24:00.140 of a pushback
00:24:00.800 and decided to
00:24:02.640 take the money back
00:24:04.020 and she issued
00:24:05.020 this groveling apology.
00:24:07.060 Hi there.
00:24:08.580 It has come to our attention
00:24:10.460 that our 20 Days of Kindness,
00:24:12.540 which is something,
00:24:13.720 a kindness hub
00:24:14.320 that we started
00:24:14.880 to kind of shed the light
00:24:15.880 on 20 great charities,
00:24:17.620 had one in there
00:24:19.220 that there's no other way
00:24:20.640 to say it,
00:24:21.240 we blew it.
00:24:22.400 We made a mistake
00:24:23.220 and we backed a charity
00:24:24.500 that upon proper vetting
00:24:27.140 stands for everything
00:24:28.420 that we do not.
00:24:29.860 So I want to thank everyone
00:24:31.400 on social media
00:24:32.940 who said,
00:24:33.700 what are you doing?
00:24:34.520 Are you sure you want to back this?
00:24:35.720 Because the answer is,
00:24:36.760 no, we do not.
00:24:38.220 We have pulled it.
00:24:39.700 We are so incredibly grateful
00:24:41.320 for you ringing the bell
00:24:43.440 and helping us be better.
00:24:45.720 We're sorry for our mistake.
00:24:47.480 Oh boy, are we sorry for it.
00:24:49.480 Can't believe that we missed it.
00:24:50.920 And that's it.
00:24:53.580 And I just,
00:24:54.320 I want to say,
00:24:55.620 I hope it doesn't ding
00:24:56.340 the other charities
00:24:57.220 because they're really doing
00:24:58.600 some amazing things
00:24:59.580 and 20 Days of Kindness
00:25:00.820 is really meant to shine the light
00:25:03.040 on all of those wonderful charities.
00:25:05.780 So let the kindness continue
00:25:08.540 and thank you.
00:25:10.780 Thanks for the help.
00:25:11.620 We really needed it.
00:25:12.660 Just a picture of courage there,
00:25:14.160 that Melissa McCarthy,
00:25:15.160 isn't she?
00:25:16.540 I mean, just think about this.
00:25:17.920 She could have easily ignored this.
00:25:22.760 She could have taken that route.
00:25:23.680 Just ignore it.
00:25:24.440 It'll go away.
00:25:25.300 People aren't that focused on it.
00:25:27.760 Or she could have done the right thing
00:25:29.100 and come out and said,
00:25:30.180 hey, listen,
00:25:30.680 this is a good organization.
00:25:31.920 They're fighting sex trafficking.
00:25:33.320 I don't agree with all their views,
00:25:35.160 but they're doing an important service.
00:25:38.400 And if they're against Pornhub
00:25:41.340 while at the same time
00:25:42.340 saving women from sex trafficking,
00:25:43.980 that's a trade I'm willing to make.
00:25:45.720 She could have done that.
00:25:46.540 And she risks nothing.
00:25:49.980 Speaking of putting nothing on the line,
00:25:51.620 having no stakes,
00:25:52.420 if she were to stand up
00:25:54.060 against the outrage mom,
00:25:55.520 what happens to her?
00:25:57.620 What's the worst case scenario?
00:26:00.280 That her super intelligence movie flops?
00:26:02.460 It was going to flop anyway.
00:26:03.920 All of her movies flop.
00:26:06.180 But she's still a multimillionaire.
00:26:07.840 She'll still get work.
00:26:11.200 That's why it can be so demoralizing
00:26:13.320 when you see these people
00:26:15.040 on the public stage
00:26:16.500 who are massively wealthy
00:26:18.100 and they've got so many fans
00:26:19.720 and everything
00:26:20.020 and they cave so quickly
00:26:21.560 to the outrage mob
00:26:22.580 because for them,
00:26:24.700 it should be the easiest
00:26:25.500 to stand against it.
00:26:26.400 Think about Drew Brees,
00:26:27.420 another perfect example.
00:26:29.620 You know,
00:26:29.800 for a moment,
00:26:32.040 he stood up for,
00:26:33.440 literally,
00:26:34.120 for the anthem
00:26:34.600 and for police.
00:26:35.700 Got a little bit of pushback
00:26:36.600 and said,
00:26:36.960 oh, never mind.
00:26:37.460 I'm sorry.
00:26:37.820 I'm sorry for supporting the flag
00:26:39.000 and supporting police.
00:26:42.360 You're right.
00:26:43.060 You know what?
00:26:43.560 I am going to take the side
00:26:44.460 of, you know,
00:26:46.220 convicted criminals
00:26:47.080 instead of the police.
00:26:50.540 But what was the worst case scenario
00:26:52.260 for him
00:26:52.560 if he stood up
00:26:53.080 against the outrage mob?
00:26:53.980 What happens to him?
00:26:56.340 Even if he gets cut
00:26:57.240 from the team,
00:26:57.820 which was never going to happen
00:26:58.720 because he's Drew Brees,
00:27:00.140 for God's sake.
00:27:01.280 But even if he did,
00:27:01.880 he's still rich and wealthy.
00:27:03.840 He's still set for life.
00:27:05.080 He can do whatever he wants.
00:27:05.880 But if these people
00:27:07.840 who have everything
00:27:08.900 won't stand up,
00:27:10.160 when they really risk nothing
00:27:11.580 if they won't stand up
00:27:12.520 against it,
00:27:13.620 what about people
00:27:14.680 who don't have
00:27:15.420 that kind of security?
00:27:16.780 That's why it's so demoralizing.
00:27:20.540 Okay, let's go to number four.
00:27:21.820 This is from the Daily Wire.
00:27:23.520 It says,
00:27:23.780 not content to ban
00:27:24.720 smoking in public,
00:27:25.820 San Francisco
00:27:26.380 is now considering a ban
00:27:27.600 on smoking
00:27:28.700 in one's own home
00:27:29.820 should they live
00:27:31.000 in an apartment.
00:27:32.820 Reason reported
00:27:33.660 that the city's
00:27:34.560 board of supervisors
00:27:35.540 are considering the bill
00:27:36.540 and voted last Thursday
00:27:37.540 to advance it.
00:27:38.860 The bill would ban
00:27:39.820 smoking inside
00:27:40.860 private dwellings
00:27:41.680 located in apartments
00:27:42.680 with three or more units,
00:27:43.940 according to the outlet.
00:27:45.260 The bill wouldn't apply
00:27:46.180 to just tobacco products
00:27:47.360 with known
00:27:48.440 secondhand concerns.
00:27:49.700 It would also ban
00:27:50.380 marijuana and even vaping
00:27:51.960 in the private dwellings.
00:27:53.460 The San Francisco Examiner
00:27:54.580 reported saying
00:27:55.660 the bill sponsored,
00:27:57.380 bill sponsor supervisor
00:27:58.540 Norman Yeh
00:27:59.960 said in a tweet
00:28:00.580 that the goal of the bill
00:28:01.340 was to help residents
00:28:02.220 avoid being exposed
00:28:03.220 to secondhand smoke
00:28:04.240 in their own homes.
00:28:05.940 He says,
00:28:06.600 smoke easily moves
00:28:07.560 between units and buildings.
00:28:09.140 Now that more of us
00:28:09.900 work from home,
00:28:10.540 it's more important than ever
00:28:11.440 because there is no way
00:28:12.540 to contain it.
00:28:14.280 By the way,
00:28:15.120 there is no evidence
00:28:16.680 whatsoever
00:28:17.560 that if your neighbor smokes,
00:28:20.200 it's somehow
00:28:20.640 going to give you cancer.
00:28:22.000 No evidence of that.
00:28:23.420 There just isn't.
00:28:24.440 But I think it's not
00:28:30.200 a coincidence here.
00:28:31.500 I don't see this
00:28:31.960 as a coincidence
00:28:32.460 that on one hand,
00:28:34.180 you've got these
00:28:34.840 COVID restrictions
00:28:35.640 and state governments
00:28:38.020 assuming they have
00:28:39.120 the right and the power
00:28:39.800 to tell you how many people
00:28:40.660 you can have in your own home.
00:28:42.140 And now you've got
00:28:42.620 a smoking ban
00:28:43.480 in private residences.
00:28:46.260 You know,
00:28:46.420 we're setting a precedent
00:28:47.580 with the COVID restrictions.
00:28:48.940 And it's not going to be
00:28:50.240 contained just to that.
00:28:51.200 I think we've already seen that.
00:28:52.060 And the precedent is
00:28:53.820 the government can tell you
00:28:55.260 what you can do
00:28:55.620 in your own home.
00:28:57.760 And this is,
00:28:59.900 there are going to be
00:29:01.420 consequences to that.
00:29:03.440 We have seen this
00:29:04.440 over and over again
00:29:05.040 with the government.
00:29:06.140 I mean,
00:29:06.400 throughout human history.
00:29:08.200 When you give the government,
00:29:09.460 when you submit to that,
00:29:11.040 to the government
00:29:11.500 and give it a certain power,
00:29:13.820 it's not just going
00:29:14.600 to give it back.
00:29:16.120 And always,
00:29:17.180 it always,
00:29:17.820 well,
00:29:18.020 we need the power
00:29:18.780 just in an emergency
00:29:19.740 situation here.
00:29:20.960 We just need it for now.
00:29:22.600 Give us this power
00:29:23.440 and we'll give it up
00:29:25.080 once the emergency passes.
00:29:28.020 And time and time again,
00:29:29.140 of course,
00:29:29.420 the public says,
00:29:30.140 well, okay,
00:29:30.700 if you say so.
00:29:32.560 You never lied to us before
00:29:33.920 except every other time.
00:29:36.780 So that's the way
00:29:37.420 this is going to go.
00:29:38.560 Number five,
00:29:39.420 finally,
00:29:40.020 if Joe Biden
00:29:41.300 is going to be president,
00:29:42.600 then I think we found
00:29:44.060 the anthem
00:29:44.800 for the next four years.
00:29:46.400 This, I think,
00:29:47.160 I think we could say
00:29:48.260 at least this is
00:29:49.260 the best
00:29:50.120 pro-Biden song
00:29:52.340 ever written.
00:29:53.880 Though, of course,
00:29:54.380 the bar is so low
00:29:55.320 that it's, you know,
00:29:56.160 somewhere down near
00:29:57.080 the core of the earth
00:29:57.860 at this point.
00:29:59.080 But anyway,
00:30:00.080 here's the song.
00:30:01.160 Listen.
00:30:01.280 I can't believe it
00:30:10.820 All my dreams came true
00:30:14.840 America voted
00:30:18.620 And the country turned blue
00:30:23.160 We wanted Joe Biden
00:30:26.980 For the next four years
00:30:31.720 We wanted Kamala
00:30:35.300 And now there's no need to fear
00:30:39.740 And who's commander-in-chief
00:30:43.520 Joe Biden
00:30:44.980 The one that Trump can't defeat
00:30:47.520 Joe Biden
00:30:49.180 Who can fix the economy
00:30:52.100 Joe Biden
00:30:53.340 Joe Biden, baby
00:30:56.200 Joe Biden
00:30:57.460 Yeah, the secondhand embarrassment
00:30:59.200 is so intense
00:31:00.620 watching that
00:31:01.540 that you feel like
00:31:02.320 you're suffering
00:31:02.860 actual physical trauma
00:31:04.360 while you watch it.
00:31:06.800 And I just, I, I, I
00:31:08.200 What I'm wondering is
00:31:10.180 whose idea was that?
00:31:13.420 I assume it was the guy's idea
00:31:15.180 because he's the lead singer.
00:31:16.500 So the guy went up
00:31:17.520 to his girlfriend
00:31:18.060 or his wife
00:31:19.120 or whoever
00:31:19.580 maybe his Uber passenger
00:31:21.500 I don't know
00:31:22.120 and said, hey babe
00:31:23.440 I wrote this
00:31:24.620 this sexy Joe Biden song
00:31:26.740 What do you say?
00:31:27.620 We hop in the front seat
00:31:28.520 and sing it together
00:31:29.800 And the crazy thing is
00:31:32.000 that she said yes to that
00:31:33.220 Maybe she didn't ask
00:31:35.340 to hear it ahead of time
00:31:36.360 That's what I'm thinking
00:31:37.080 So she's sitting there
00:31:38.360 listening and experiencing
00:31:39.760 the same horror we are
00:31:41.100 but she's on camera
00:31:42.900 she can't show it
00:31:43.720 The show must go on
00:31:45.380 Suddenly this has become
00:31:46.880 a story of great courage
00:31:48.120 and selflessness
00:31:48.680 on the part of the woman
00:31:50.180 and that's, that's how
00:31:51.100 I choose to see it
00:31:52.280 in an inspiring way
00:31:54.860 All right
00:31:56.280 Speaking of inspiring
00:31:57.620 we're going to get to
00:31:58.020 our daily cancellation
00:31:58.640 in just a second
00:31:59.440 but before we do
00:32:00.400 you know
00:32:01.940 we're talking about
00:32:02.720 the, these shutdowns
00:32:04.320 which are ramping up
00:32:05.100 again in many states
00:32:05.960 Schools are being shut down
00:32:08.140 again
00:32:08.280 A lot of schools
00:32:08.800 have been shut down
00:32:09.520 the whole time
00:32:10.100 We're doing remote learning
00:32:11.200 and everything
00:32:11.600 and the point is
00:32:13.340 that many parents
00:32:15.560 across the country
00:32:16.440 millions of new parents
00:32:17.660 are considering homeschooling
00:32:19.340 and they're realizing
00:32:20.080 that, you know
00:32:21.000 homeschooling is a great
00:32:21.840 option
00:32:22.280 especially now
00:32:23.540 but even going forward
00:32:25.580 to take charge
00:32:26.660 of your child's education
00:32:27.660 to put yourself
00:32:29.580 in charge
00:32:30.000 of your child's education
00:32:30.800 that's a great idea
00:32:32.240 So if you're a parent
00:32:33.540 who homeschools
00:32:34.220 or, or, or
00:32:35.040 wants to homeschool
00:32:35.920 but you're feeling
00:32:36.500 overwhelmed with all
00:32:37.300 the work and responsibilities
00:32:38.380 that are on your shoulders
00:32:39.820 right now
00:32:40.300 you know
00:32:40.680 we're a homeschool family
00:32:41.720 and, you know
00:32:43.280 we can tell you
00:32:44.200 that's, that's how it is
00:32:45.180 of course my wife
00:32:45.840 does most of the homeschooling
00:32:47.040 and so she especially
00:32:48.900 could tell you
00:32:49.440 what a, what a struggle
00:32:51.060 it can be
00:32:51.420 and how overwhelming
00:32:52.180 it can feel
00:32:53.000 when you are in charge
00:32:54.380 of your child's education
00:32:55.240 and for parents
00:32:56.620 with kids in school
00:32:57.300 you know
00:32:57.680 if you've, if you've
00:32:58.600 avoided the need
00:32:59.460 to pull your student
00:33:00.380 out of the public school system
00:33:01.500 because it just seems
00:33:02.180 too daunting
00:33:02.720 to homeschool them
00:33:03.500 this, this year
00:33:04.240 yourself
00:33:04.720 well, homeschool magnet
00:33:06.520 is for parents
00:33:08.140 just like you
00:33:08.700 whatever category
00:33:09.380 you're in
00:33:09.780 it's a parent
00:33:10.260 it's for a parent
00:33:10.960 just like you
00:33:11.460 homeschool magnet
00:33:12.000 supports homeschooling
00:33:12.900 families
00:33:13.180 by providing students
00:33:14.420 with instruction
00:33:14.980 from world-class
00:33:15.800 credential teachers
00:33:16.740 in a remote classroom
00:33:17.860 with their peers
00:33:18.780 parents can choose
00:33:19.780 the best teachers
00:33:21.080 for each student
00:33:21.740 based on the values
00:33:22.840 and teaching approach
00:33:23.720 to ensure
00:33:24.260 that every child
00:33:25.300 is receiving
00:33:25.980 exactly the education
00:33:27.020 they desire
00:33:27.580 and I think
00:33:28.280 that's so important
00:33:28.980 that they're letting
00:33:29.480 you choose teachers
00:33:30.360 based not just on
00:33:32.180 on the subject
00:33:33.020 and the education style
00:33:33.880 but also on the values
00:33:34.760 because that's part
00:33:35.940 of education
00:33:36.520 let's face it
00:33:38.100 part of education
00:33:38.780 is instilling values
00:33:40.880 into a child
00:33:41.800 and rather than
00:33:43.840 pretending that education
00:33:45.040 can be objective
00:33:46.360 and that you can
00:33:46.920 separate values
00:33:47.860 from education
00:33:48.400 rather than pretending
00:33:49.120 because that's just
00:33:49.680 not the case
00:33:50.320 we need to embrace that
00:33:51.720 homeschooling is about
00:33:52.480 embracing that
00:33:53.160 and that's what
00:33:54.440 homeschool magnet
00:33:55.060 is all about
00:33:55.740 each student
00:33:57.180 will receive instruction
00:33:58.080 in the four core
00:33:59.160 subject areas
00:33:59.860 of math
00:34:00.400 English language
00:34:01.080 arts
00:34:01.540 English language
00:34:02.640 arts
00:34:02.960 science
00:34:03.440 and social studies
00:34:04.160 other online schools
00:34:05.520 exist of course
00:34:06.260 but homeschool magnet
00:34:07.260 is unique
00:34:07.880 even though homeschool magnet
00:34:08.800 includes a robust
00:34:09.660 online learning environment
00:34:10.580 each student works
00:34:11.440 from real physical
00:34:12.340 learning materials
00:34:13.180 guided by video instruction
00:34:15.220 from their teachers
00:34:16.040 so there is that
00:34:16.600 physical element to it
00:34:17.480 which is really important
00:34:18.280 homeschool magnet
00:34:19.260 is only a fraction
00:34:20.000 of the cost
00:34:20.440 of private schools
00:34:21.160 and the 30 day
00:34:22.440 money back guarantee
00:34:23.260 upon enrollment
00:34:23.860 means this choice
00:34:24.740 is risk free
00:34:25.400 you might as well
00:34:26.040 give it a shot
00:34:26.700 and I can tell you
00:34:28.260 again as a homeschool family
00:34:29.320 I couldn't recommend it
00:34:30.200 enough
00:34:30.440 to learn more about
00:34:31.360 homeschool magnet

00:34:48.660 let's get to our
00:34:49.840 daily cancellation
00:34:50.460 today we reflect
00:34:52.340 on the state
00:34:53.160 of the culture
00:34:53.780 from the perspective
00:34:54.620 of a Christian
00:34:55.320 who confronts it
00:34:56.880 we find that
00:34:58.100 basic truths
00:34:58.920 have been turned
00:34:59.800 into heresies
00:35:01.060 objective reality
00:35:02.860 and moral decency
00:35:04.500 are anathema
00:35:05.220 the family
00:35:06.520 is under assault
00:35:07.280 children are under assault
00:35:08.940 masculinity
00:35:09.840 and femininity
00:35:10.660 are under assault
00:35:11.480 and from the standpoint
00:35:12.700 of religion
00:35:13.220 church attendance
00:35:13.960 is windowless
00:35:14.540 America is becoming
00:35:15.500 more atheist
00:35:16.160 more secular
00:35:16.820 by the day
00:35:17.300 but on top of all of this
00:35:18.500 the unprecedented assault
00:35:20.600 on religious liberty
00:35:21.540 currently underway
00:35:23.620 churches being shut down
00:35:24.940 congregations
00:35:25.680 banned from singing
00:35:26.860 or worshipping
00:35:27.520 in large groups
00:35:28.100 and these restrictions
00:35:29.360 look to be getting
00:35:30.040 tighter again
00:35:30.680 across the country
00:35:31.340 I mean this year
00:35:32.720 we have actually seen
00:35:34.220 pastors arrested
00:35:35.660 and hauled off to jail
00:35:37.140 for holding church services
00:35:38.540 that is happening
00:35:39.180 in this country
00:35:40.080 congregants
00:35:41.420 fined for attending
00:35:42.600 those services
00:35:43.260 and there is no sign
00:35:44.860 of any of this
00:35:45.560 getting any better
00:35:46.400 anytime soon
00:35:47.080 but have no fear
00:35:48.720 the United States
00:35:50.340 bishops
00:35:50.900 are here
00:35:51.820 this week begins
00:35:53.900 their general assembly
00:35:54.860 they're of course
00:35:55.700 all virtual
00:35:56.460 general assembly
00:35:58.080 and there's quite a lot
00:35:59.760 for these bishops
00:36:00.300 to discuss
00:36:00.840 to put it mildly
00:36:01.820 for Catholics
00:36:02.660 after all
00:36:03.360 these are supposed
00:36:04.040 to be our
00:36:04.620 our field generals
00:36:06.080 our leaders
00:36:06.660 on the cultural battlefield
00:36:07.840 one would hope
00:36:09.160 that they
00:36:09.640 you know
00:36:10.300 are going into this meeting
00:36:11.420 with fire in their bellies
00:36:13.260 adrenaline in their veins
00:36:14.480 ready to conquer
00:36:15.240 the darkness
00:36:15.800 like modern day conquistadors
00:36:17.400 like Cortez
00:36:19.140 charging into an Aztec city
00:36:20.700 burning its temple
00:36:21.640 of human sacrifice
00:36:22.460 to the ground
00:36:23.020 that's what you would hope
00:36:24.200 if you've been living
00:36:25.820 in a cave
00:36:26.620 since well
00:36:27.600 around the time
00:36:28.180 of Cortez
00:36:28.700 it may be what
00:36:29.920 you would hope
00:36:30.280 and expect
00:36:30.760 and if so
00:36:33.020 by the way
00:36:33.380 you pick the wrong
00:36:34.420 century to emerge
00:36:35.400 from hiding
00:36:35.820 because this is not
00:36:37.620 a time for
00:36:38.820 warrior bishops
00:36:39.820 at least not
00:36:40.900 in the west
00:36:41.320 and that's why
00:36:42.960 heading into
00:36:43.460 the general assembly
00:36:44.280 rather than
00:36:45.380 standing up
00:36:45.880 against persecution
00:36:47.160 or shining light
00:36:48.360 in the darkness
00:36:48.960 or fighting evil
00:36:49.960 the bishops
00:36:51.120 are talking about
00:36:52.020 baby Yoda
00:36:53.120 yes
00:36:55.040 baby Yoda
00:36:55.780 here's the tweet
00:36:57.600 that went out
00:36:58.080 from the United States
00:36:58.920 Conference of Catholic Bishops
00:36:59.800 Twitter account
00:37:00.380 it says
00:37:01.260 we meet tomorrow
00:37:02.280 for our first ever
00:37:03.260 all virtual
00:37:04.020 general assembly
00:37:05.020 how many baby Yoda
00:37:06.640 gifts do you think
00:37:07.640 we'll post
00:37:08.120 during the conference
00:37:08.860 and then there's a poll
00:37:10.380 a little fun poll
00:37:11.440 you could participate in
00:37:12.180 and you could vote
00:37:12.960 more than five
00:37:14.180 or less than five
00:37:15.360 now this provoked
00:37:17.680 some understandable
00:37:18.920 confusion
00:37:19.540 and people were asking
00:37:21.080 why the bishops
00:37:21.940 are tweeting
00:37:23.140 about baby Yoda
00:37:24.160 and they explained
00:37:25.500 later in the thread
00:37:26.240 they said
00:37:26.600 we started posting them
00:37:28.120 at our meeting
00:37:28.600 last year
00:37:29.140 they had just started
00:37:30.320 to be widely shared
00:37:31.240 online
00:37:31.700 you know the joke
00:37:33.740 has gone poorly
00:37:34.380 when it has to be
00:37:34.980 explained
00:37:35.480 and of course
00:37:36.860 the bishops
00:37:37.240 sound like massive
00:37:38.180 nerds explaining it
00:37:39.320 yes we posted
00:37:40.540 the graphics
00:37:41.220 interchange format
00:37:42.040 of a popular
00:37:42.620 Star Wars character
00:37:43.380 it was quite
00:37:44.140 humorous spectacle
00:37:45.060 it even caused
00:37:46.100 some of us to
00:37:46.660 as they say
00:37:47.240 lol
00:37:47.640 now I know
00:37:50.120 it may seem like
00:37:50.780 I'm unfairly
00:37:51.580 giving the bishops
00:37:52.180 a hard time
00:37:52.740 or all they did
00:37:53.220 was tweet about
00:37:53.720 baby Yoda
00:37:54.220 what's the big deal
00:37:55.080 well the problem
00:37:56.560 is that this is
00:37:57.420 very much a part
00:37:58.180 of a larger trend
00:37:59.040 a trend prevalent
00:38:00.160 in the western church
00:38:01.360 generally
00:38:02.280 not just catholic
00:38:03.140 but across the board
00:38:04.000 church leaders
00:38:05.100 make themselves
00:38:06.600 irrelevant
00:38:07.140 by focusing
00:38:08.060 on frivolous
00:38:08.900 nonsense
00:38:09.420 while ignoring
00:38:10.840 the great battle
00:38:11.880 that wages around
00:38:12.700 now you could
00:38:13.940 tolerate somebody
00:38:14.820 cracking jokes
00:38:15.580 on the battlefield
00:38:16.200 if they were
00:38:17.220 kicking ass
00:38:17.760 and taking names
00:38:18.400 as they did it
00:38:19.080 and if the jokes
00:38:20.040 were good
00:38:20.520 but neither of those
00:38:22.180 apply to the bishops
00:38:23.200 or to most church
00:38:24.400 leaders
00:38:24.680 and that's the problem
00:38:26.200 you could maybe
00:38:28.160 tolerate
00:38:28.800 the lack of
00:38:30.420 seriousness
00:38:30.900 the flippancy
00:38:31.820 the frivolity
00:38:32.720 if it was effective
00:38:34.020 if it was appealing
00:38:35.240 if it had the
00:38:36.960 supposed desired
00:38:37.920 effect of appealing
00:38:38.900 to the wayward
00:38:40.240 youth etc
00:38:40.940 but it's not
00:38:42.480 and it doesn't
00:38:43.120 I am reminded
00:38:45.260 here
00:38:45.540 and I could
00:38:46.260 give so many
00:38:46.740 similar examples
00:38:47.540 but I'm reminded
00:38:48.800 of a sermon
00:38:49.360 I once heard
00:38:50.140 not long ago
00:38:51.820 at a church
00:38:52.660 based around
00:38:54.080 the movie
00:38:54.440 Toy Story
00:38:55.180 and the point
00:38:56.800 of the sermon
00:38:57.280 the message
00:38:57.980 from what I remember
00:38:58.820 was that
00:38:59.540 friendship is important
00:39:01.000 you know
00:39:02.520 because Woody and Buzz
00:39:03.680 got off to a rocky
00:39:05.540 start
00:39:05.940 but they discovered
00:39:06.920 the power of friendship
00:39:07.780 and it took them
00:39:08.780 to infinity
00:39:09.340 and beyond
00:39:10.020 I can't remember
00:39:11.980 if that line
00:39:12.440 was actually in the sermon
00:39:13.220 but it could have been
00:39:14.060 that was the theme
00:39:14.980 I'm also made to remember
00:39:17.100 here a Christian
00:39:18.280 or rather a Christmas
00:39:19.820 sermon
00:39:20.400 that I heard
00:39:21.480 a couple years ago
00:39:22.180 based around
00:39:23.320 the Grinch
00:39:23.800 who stole Christmas
00:39:24.600 now you might think
00:39:26.760 that if you're looking
00:39:27.500 for a relevant
00:39:28.280 Christmas story
00:39:29.460 to base your homily
00:39:30.820 around
00:39:31.260 you might choose
00:39:32.840 you know
00:39:33.500 the Christmas story
00:39:35.060 the nativity
00:39:35.560 but no
00:39:36.840 the Grinch
00:39:37.700 who stole Christmas
00:39:38.520 because the priest
00:39:40.400 wanted to be relevant
00:39:41.260 and hip
00:39:41.800 and because he had
00:39:42.900 the cultural knowledge
00:39:44.000 of my 95 year old
00:39:45.160 grandmother
00:39:45.480 so he thought
00:39:46.760 the Grinch
00:39:47.360 was the best way
00:39:48.120 that he could
00:39:48.540 accomplish that
00:39:49.560 this has long been
00:39:50.760 the story
00:39:51.160 in the western church
00:39:51.940 irrelevance
00:39:52.700 lack of seriousness
00:39:53.880 outdated pop culture
00:39:55.420 references
00:39:55.900 bad jokes
00:39:57.020 all in the name
