00:00:00.000 Today on The Matt Walsh Show, a school district in California is forcing its employees to intend
00:00:04.300 so-called white privilege training. I'll tell you what this insane training entails, and also I'll
00:00:09.820 ask a pertinent question that people rarely ask, which is, when is a white employee finally going
00:00:15.280 to stand up and file a racial discrimination lawsuit to stop this sort of madness? Because
00:00:19.220 that's the only thing that's going to stop it. Also, five headlines, including more sheriffs
00:00:23.220 saying that they will not enforce unconstitutional lockdown orders, and Warner Brothers gives the
00:00:27.940 death blow to movie theaters. Is that something to celebrate? I don't think so. And in our daily
00:00:31.400 cancellation, I will preemptively cancel any future potential COVID vaccine mandates and anybody who
00:00:37.980 pushes for them. All of that and more coming up today on The Matt Walsh Show.
00:00:49.160 So a report from Christopher Ruffo, who's a writer with the City Journal, says that teachers in the
00:00:55.540 San Diego Unified School District are being forced to attend white privilege training. Now,
00:01:00.900 before we get into the details on this training, we should note that it's no surprise coming from
00:01:05.380 the San Diego Unified School District in particular, as this is the same district that made headlines not
00:01:11.120 long ago, you may have heard, for changing its grading system in order to, quote, combat racism.
00:01:17.400 The district noticed that black, Hispanic, Native American students were failing more than white
00:01:23.060 students. Rather than trying to rectify that by helping the failing students perform better,
00:01:29.240 they decided instead to completely change the rules on the basis that the kids must be failing
00:01:34.440 because of racism. I can tell you that I was not a very good student myself growing up. You know,
00:01:40.200 I was known to bring home D's and E's on my report card. If only I'd known that I was a victim of racism.
00:01:46.700 I could have given that as an excuse to my dad. I ran out of excuses at a certain point.
00:01:50.600 But something tells me he would have been unmoved by that excuse. And that's because my dad is not
00:01:56.560 a credulous idiot, unlike the people running many of our school systems today, especially in
00:02:00.900 California. So in San Diego now, final grades are based not on yearly averages. And students are not
00:02:08.980 penalized if they, you know, turn in assignments late or don't show up to class at all. Bad behavior
00:02:14.180 also doesn't count against them. None of that counts. The school board members who came up with this
00:02:18.320 brilliant plan explained that now, now grading will be, will be based on mastery of the material.
00:02:25.220 Of course, grades have always been based on mastery of the material, at least in theory. And the whole
00:02:31.100 point is that a kid who's acting out in class, not showing up half the time, handing his assignments
00:02:36.900 in late, failing most of his tests, probably hasn't mastered the material. Hence the failing grade on
00:02:42.960 the report card. But that's not how it's going to work anymore in this anti-racist school district.
00:02:47.600 Needless to say, as always, though, the attempts to be anti-racist are themselves extremely racist.
00:02:53.760 The obvious implication here, what is being said without saying it, is that the minority students
00:02:59.740 can't be expected to show up to class or behave themselves. So we have to change the rules to give
00:03:05.160 them a shot. It's the bigotry of low expectations, rearing its ugly head again, racism in the name of
00:03:11.860 combating racism, as always. And that brings us to the latest report. Christopher Ruffo writes,
00:03:17.060 quote, San Diego Unified School District is forcing teachers to attend white privilege training
00:03:22.680 in which teachers are told, quote, you are racist and, quote, you are upholding racist ideas,
00:03:28.460 structures and policies. The training begins with a, quote, land acknowledgement in which the
00:03:34.840 teachers are asked to accept that they are colonizers living on stolen Native American land.
00:03:41.860 The PowerPoint slide says, quote, we must acknowledge the hidden history of violence
00:03:46.660 against indigenous people in an effort to move towards justice.
00:03:52.000 Now, hold on a second. Acknowledge? Hidden history? When is this not acknowledged? And how is
00:04:01.120 it hidden? It is drilled into our heads at every opportunity that the white settlers were murderous
00:04:07.460 land thieves? Has anyone not heard this by now? It's acknowledged, in fact, way too often and with
00:04:14.080 too much hyperbole and with no sense of perspective. The history of the entire globe, every settled part
00:04:20.900 of it is awash in the blood of conquest. That was the case in the case in the Americas before white
00:04:26.560 people ever showed up. This land was being fought over. People were killed over it, brutalized,
00:04:31.420 tortured, enslaved for centuries and centuries before anyone with white skin ever set foot on
00:04:37.740 these shores. Does that excuse whatever sins any white man may have committed? No, but it does mean
00:04:43.320 that our reckoning with history must include more than just white men or else it's not a reckoning with
00:04:50.080 history at all. It is a targeted attempt to scapegoat a particular race of people. It is racist,
00:04:56.480 in other words. This is racist. And also, by the way, just so you know, there is no such thing as
00:05:04.180 Native American land. They were not one group. They were not a monolith. They were not homogenous.
00:05:11.160 The Native American tribes didn't consider, oh, well, this is Native American land. We're all together.
00:05:15.840 We're all in this together. That's not how they saw it. They were warring tribes who, again, killed and
00:05:22.140 enslaved and tortured one another with abandon for centuries. If land was stolen from anyone,
00:05:28.860 it was stolen from whatever group just stole it from the last group. The idea that we have to look
00:05:34.360 over this whole series of conquest and theft and place all the blamed moral guilt on the most recent
00:05:40.180 people to steal whatever piece of land is just absolutely ludicrous. We have reckoned enough with all
00:05:47.520 the horrible things allegedly done by white people. Now it's everyone else's turn. Countless sins have
00:05:55.100 been committed by countless people throughout history. Who's next in line for public repentance?
00:06:01.160 We've got the white man covered by now. Okay, we get it. So can we move on from that? And let's talk
00:06:06.840 about the other people who did bad stuff. Now, back to Rufo's report. He says,
00:06:12.140 then they, the teachers, are told they will experience guilt, anger, apathy, and closed-mindedness
00:06:19.200 because of their white fragility. After watching clips of Robin DiAngelo and Ibram Kendi,
00:06:25.960 the trainers tell the teachers, you are racist. You are upholding racist ideas, structures, and policies
00:06:31.200 that they must commit to becoming anti-racist in the classroom. They must submit to the new racial
00:06:36.520 orthodoxy. The teachers are told that they are part of an oppressive white power structure
00:06:41.220 the trainers claim that, quote, white people in America hold most of the power and that white
00:06:47.100 teachers have an ability to thrive that is being preserved at every level of power. Finally,
00:06:52.340 teachers are told that they must become anti-racist activists. They must, quote, confront and examine
00:06:57.680 their white privilege, acknowledge when they feel white fragility, and teach others to see their
00:07:03.560 privilege. They must then turn their schools into activist organizations. Okay. Now, a few
00:07:11.220 additional points here. First, there is one way to end this. I can think of only one way to put an
00:07:18.980 end to this madness. Some white employee somewhere needs to step up and file a racial discrimination
00:07:26.320 lawsuit. That's the only way this ends. Of course, there's no guarantee the case would be successful
00:07:32.480 given that far-left radicalism invades every part of our society, including the courts, especially the
00:07:37.420 courts. But on the merits, it would be a rock-solid case. Here you have an employer singling out
00:07:45.060 employees by race and subjecting them to degrading and insulting treatment and requiring that they
00:07:50.940 accept and embrace this treatment because they deserve it. The employer is saying, you are white
00:07:58.120 and therefore you must accept that you are racist, privileged, and fragile. This is just so absurdly
00:08:05.280 illegal and indefensible and in violation of every racial equality law and regulation that it hardly
00:08:11.360 requires further explanation. Really, there's probably no scenario where an employer can say, you are fill-in-the-blank
00:08:18.280 race, and therefore you must accept that you are fill-in-the-blank adjective or trait. It doesn't even matter what
00:08:24.700 you fill-in-the-blanks with. Just imagine what it would sound like if this was being targeted towards
00:08:29.860 black or Hispanic employees or gay employees or women and the matter becomes clear. Second point, I go
00:08:37.720 back to the same old drum I've been beating for years. Get your kids out of the public school system.
00:08:42.860 This stuff is getting worse, not better. The leftist indoctrination is getting more radical, not less.
00:08:48.480 We are now in full-on cult territory. What these teachers are undergoing is nothing less than cult
00:08:54.280 brainwashing. Now, we hear about the kids being brainwashed, but we should also remember the
00:08:58.700 teachers are being brainwashed too. If you listen to people who've been brainwashed by cults and then
00:09:06.100 managed to deprogram themselves, they'll tell you that an important part of the indoctrination process
00:09:11.120 is breaking the new recruit down, making them resentful of themselves, their families, those closest to
00:09:18.460 them. The cult seeks to sever the recruits' ties, making them vulnerable, susceptible, in need of
00:09:24.500 affirmation and connection. Then it's easy to come in, give that affirmation, and win their loyalty
00:09:29.680 and their submission, more importantly. And that's what's going on here. The left uses the same playbook.
00:09:36.880 And if you send your children to public school, they are going to be in the clutches of these
00:09:41.880 brainwashed cultist drones until your kids themselves become brainwashed cultist drones.
00:09:48.900 So don't do that to them. Give your kids a fighting chance. Keep them out of the public
00:09:54.400 school system. There are a million reasons to avoid public schools like the plague, and this is just
00:10:01.360 the latest one. Now let's get to our five headlines.
00:10:04.440 Before we get to our five headlines today, you know, I'm not someone who normally would come on
00:10:16.140 here and preach about diversity. It's not normally in my bag, as you may have noticed. But one place
00:10:22.020 where diversity is certainly important is in your investments. You need to diversify your investments,
00:10:27.280 and that means buying gold. Problem is that buying gold is really expensive. Not everybody has the
00:10:31.880 ability to do that. So here's something that you could try with our new sponsors, Acre Gold.
00:10:36.820 As the price of gold is skyrocketing, the new way to buy it is through this company called Acre.
00:10:42.180 Acre lets you subscribe to gold bars for as little as 30 bucks a month. What you do is you pay each
00:10:47.280 month, and once your gold stash reaches the price of their gold bars, they discreetly ship Acre Gold to
00:10:52.960 your house. And so that you can be, you know, you can own gold, you can be an investor in gold,
00:10:57.060 even if it feels like it's an out-of-reach goal because you don't have the money for it. Well,
00:11:01.400 here's a way to do it. Acre keeps you updated on your gold stash every month. It ships you. Once
00:11:06.840 you reach that price threshold, it's going to ship it to you. Again, that's in a really discreet way.
00:11:11.460 And Acre just recently also, we should mention, introduced their new $100 per month subscription
00:11:16.820 for their five-gram gold bar. So you could choose what level you want to be involved in. But the idea
00:11:21.980 here is to invest in something stable, something that gives you some certainty for the future,
00:11:27.120 but also to do it in a way that's affordable for you. So you're not stretching yourself too thin.
00:11:32.840 I think this is the best possible solution. So visit getacregold.com slash Walsh. That's
00:11:38.040 getacregold.com slash Walsh and start investing in physical gold today. Make sure you go to that URL
00:11:43.060 also because Acre is giving away a gold bar. If you want to qualify for the giveaway, just tweet or post
00:11:48.200 why you should be the recipient of the free gold bar. Mention at get underscore Acre if you want to get
00:11:54.120 that free gold bar. Again, that's getacregold.com slash Walsh. And thank you to Acregold
00:11:58.720 for supporting the show. So from the Daily Wire, it says on Thursday, Los Angeles County Sheriff Alex
00:12:03.980 Villanueva reportedly asserted that he won't force his deputies to enforce a new statewide stay-at-home
00:12:10.200 order against businesses issued by California Governor Gavin Newsom. Bill Mulligan of KTTV tweeted
00:12:17.960 that Sheriff Villanueva, quote, tells me he found out about the new stay-at-home orders from Gavin
00:12:22.440 Newsom's press conference. There was no coordination with local law enforcement beforehand,
00:12:26.700 which he says is concerning when the governor is expecting enforcement of his orders.
00:12:31.280 Villanueva told KTTV, I want to stay away from businesses that are trying to comply. They bent
00:12:36.780 over backwards to modify their operations to conform to these orders, and then they have the rug yanked
00:12:41.840 out from under them. That's a disservice. I don't want to make them more miserable. Mulligan added,
00:12:46.480 Sheriff Villanueva says he believes the Lakers and Dodgers celebrations and Thanksgiving
00:12:50.240 played a part in our recent surges at the civil unrest protests earlier in the year contributed
00:12:54.900 to an earlier surge. It doesn't believe that restaurants, et cetera, are to blame. Okay,
00:12:58.800 so this is just the latest. We've heard a number of sheriffs in various states, including California,
00:13:05.820 come out and say that they're just not going to enforce these orders because they're wrong,
00:13:11.480 misguided, unconstitutional, evil, and destroying people's lives. And that's exactly what needs to happen.
00:13:18.060 And, you know, I think that's a message that a lot of, I understand that the position this puts
00:13:22.920 police officers in when they're expected to be the ones who go in and, you know, arrest a restaurant
00:13:30.160 owner for serving food. You know, that's a, that's a difficult spot that you're put in as a police
00:13:36.720 officer, but there are times when moral courage is required. And this is one of those times.
00:13:42.420 And I think if you're a police officer, you also have to keep in mind that,
00:13:46.160 you know, you know, you've got one, one, one side, one half of the political spectrum
00:13:52.460 that hates your guts. Unfairly. Okay. They, they believe that you're racist serial killers on the
00:13:58.960 prowl hunting down black men to kill. That's what they believe. That's what they've been told.
00:14:01.860 That's what the media says. And they hate you for that. Then you've got, you've got us,
00:14:07.080 you've got conservatives who are standing up for you and saying, that's not true. Back the blue,
00:14:14.120 all of that. Uh, blue lives matter. I mean, that's all coming from conservatives.
00:14:18.640 I think if you're a police officer, you really risk alienating your only defenders,
00:14:23.420 the only people on your side. If you enforce rules and laws like this. So I'm glad that this
00:14:29.980 sheriff has chosen not to. Number two article in IGN, it says Warner brothers announced an industry
00:14:34.800 shaking approach to, to distributing its films in 2021, revealing that it'll be making all 17 of
00:14:40.780 its theatrically, theatrically released titles, uh, that year available concurrently for a one month
00:14:46.240 exclusive window on HBO max. That means, uh, us-based consumers will be able to watch highly
00:14:52.660 anticipated blockbusters, including Dune, the matrix for the suicide squad, mortal combat.
00:14:59.580 Hold on a second. Didn't suicide squad already come out?
00:15:06.360 Okay. I'm being told there's a new one. So they're making a new suicide squad and just calling
00:15:11.000 it suicide squad. Again, it's not even suicide squad two, but they're putting a the in front of it.
00:15:17.000 So it was suicide squad before now it's the suicide squad.
00:15:21.660 I mean, it's unimaginative enough when you're doing these dumb franchises, but can you at least
00:15:25.680 get a little creative with the title? Can you give us something, some kind of innovation anyway?
00:15:30.900 So the suicide squad, uh, will be released mortal combat and a bunch of others. I think there's a
00:15:36.780 King Kong versus, uh, Godzilla coming out. All of that's going to be available on streaming.
00:15:42.020 And apparently, um, if you're an HBO max subscriber, as of right now, they're not going to raise the
00:15:47.400 prices. So you'll get to see it for the same price you pay for your normal subscription.
00:15:51.900 A lot of people celebrating this move. Um, I don't see it as something to celebrate because
00:15:57.580 it's, this is the death of movie theaters. Basically we knew we were already heading in
00:16:03.060 this direction, but this accelerates what was already going to happen. And I don't see that
00:16:07.540 as a good thing. Now I know the movie theater experience and it's not like, you know, I,
00:16:11.160 I have kids now and we have to get a babysitter and, you know, pay exorbitant sums for the babysitter.
00:16:16.720 And then you got to go out and buy the tickets and everything. It's like really expensive. So we don't go
00:16:19.580 out to movies that often, but it's still, uh, I still like the fact that movie theaters existed
00:16:25.720 and it's still an experience. And so what's happening now is that all of our communal experiences
00:16:32.520 as people in a society are being taken away and it's all migrating to the internet.
00:16:39.080 And one by one, what used to be an event, an experience that you would, you would do it with
00:16:44.660 other people out in public. It's all just something that you now do on your couch,
00:16:49.560 staring at a computer screen, even leaving aside all the jobs that are getting wiped out. So maybe
00:16:54.980 that's the number one problem. But, um, a strong number two is this, that these communal societal
00:17:01.260 experiences are being taken away. And, uh, I'm, you know, I think that's a sad thing. I think
00:17:06.380 there'll probably still be movie theaters, but now we're only going to have the high end ones where
00:17:11.280 they charge you 30 bucks a ticket and they, they have to, you know, they like serve food and
00:17:15.540 they're going to have to provide other things aside from just the movie, which is going to
00:17:19.000 increase the prices, but it's not going to be like, like it used to be. I mean, even, even renting a
00:17:24.360 movie, right. Used to be a communal experience because you would go to blockbuster, you know, um,
00:17:31.600 and you would walk around the aisles for hours looking for a movie, fighting with your siblings.
00:17:36.980 Then you pick a movie, you bring it home. Um, you'd have to rewind it first because the last
00:17:43.380 person didn't rewind it. That was an inexperience that was replaced by Netflix. And now, and now
00:17:47.880 this too. All right. Um, we have a few clips from Joe Biden as incoherent as always. Here's the first
00:17:54.980 one. This is Joe Biden explaining how he injured his foot because we never really got an explanation.
00:18:01.980 He's been walking around in the, in the boot. He injured himself somehow. We were told it had
00:18:06.680 something to do with the dog. Um, no one told us exactly what happened, but Joe Biden yesterday
00:18:11.780 explained what happened. And, uh, I'm still just as confused as I was before. Listen,
00:18:16.500 I got out of the shower. I got a dog and anybody's been around my house knows,
00:18:20.640 dropped a little pup, dropped a ball in front of me and for me to grab the ball. And I'm walking
00:18:26.080 through this little alleyway to get to the bedroom. And I grabbed the ball like this and he ran
00:18:32.520 and I was joking, running after him to grab his tail. And what happened was that, uh, he slid
00:18:38.480 on a throw rug and I tripped on the, on the rug. He slid on. That's what happened. Oh man. Not,
00:18:44.280 not, not very exciting story. I mean, it is kind of an exciting story actually.
00:18:50.460 Also kind of confusing. What? So what happened? He came out of the shower.
00:18:54.880 So, so he's, he's, what is he? Is he nude? I mean, maybe these are details we don't need,
00:19:01.640 but he's the one putting the image in our heads. He's coming out of the shower. The dog is there.
00:19:07.220 He decides to, so he grabs the ball to play with the dog. And then he decides to chase after the
00:19:13.940 dog to pull its tail. Is that a normal thing that dog owners do? He throws that in like it's
00:19:18.660 something anyone does. Oh, you know, I was chasing it to pull its tail. What? You're a 78 year old
00:19:23.320 man. You're chasing, you're coming out of the shower in a, in a, in a towel, chasing the dog
00:19:28.420 down the hallway to pull its tail. The dementia is worse than we thought. And then the dog slips
00:19:34.740 on the rug and then he trips over and falls down. Uh, I'm not sure if I believe that this is actually
00:19:39.760 what happened. It's such a weird story. I feel like there's some, I don't know what happened,
00:19:43.060 but I'm not sure if this is really what, what actually happened, but it is, uh, uh, okay.
00:19:48.180 I don't know what to make of it exactly, but I guess the lesson here is don't chase your dog to
00:19:55.020 pull its tail, especially when you're just coming out of the shower. You got wet feet.
00:19:59.680 Also, we got another, uh, another, another clip from Joe Biden. He, you know, you've heard of 15
00:20:05.260 days to slow the spread. And we heard about that 15 days fifth. So there's a conversion. You know,
00:20:10.880 this is kind of like a math problem. 15 days to slow the spread was really six months,
00:20:18.080 seven, eight months, however long it's been now I've lost count. Well, now Joe Biden is talking
00:20:22.960 about when he, if, if he becomes present, if, and when a hundred days to wear the mask,
00:20:28.460 if 15 days is six months, how long is a hundred days? I don't know, but here's Joe Biden explaining
00:20:35.620 it. And I think my inclination, uh, Jake is in the first day I'm inaugurated to say,
00:20:42.680 I'm going to ask the public for 100 days to mask this 100 days to mask, not forever, 100 days.
00:20:50.560 And I think we'll see a significant reduction if we occur that that occurs with vaccinations and
00:20:57.440 masking to drive down the numbers considerably. A hundred days. Why a hundred days? Why not 95?
00:21:04.620 Why not 102? Why not 300? Why not a thousand? Why not five? I mean, it's just a random number
00:21:13.440 being pulled out of the, pulled out of the sky. I'm just at, just, just give me a hundred days.
00:21:17.960 That's all. Wear the mat, wear the cloth on your face for a hundred days. After a hundred days,
00:21:21.980 you can take it off magically. Well, we know why he's choosing a hundred days because it is an
00:21:28.000 arbitrary number and they think it sounds more palatable if they can just put a number on it.
00:21:32.280 But if we do the conversion, like I said, this is a math, I already told you I was a bad student,
00:21:37.100 so I can't do the math conversions here, but maybe somebody can 15 days equals six months.
00:21:41.560 So a hundred days equals what we're looking at years. And that's unironically probably the case
00:21:47.540 as we've been talking about all along, there is no limiting principle that I can see with this mask
00:21:53.120 thing. Everything that we're told about masks, you know, uh, they're, they're safe, they're healthy.
00:21:58.240 Uh, it's no big deal to wear them. You know, it's, you're protecting your fellow man. All of this
00:22:04.120 logic applies COVID or not, regardless of COVID, all of this still applies. So if this is the reason,
00:22:14.500 like we've, we've never really been given a COVID specific reason to wear a mask.
00:22:19.780 We've been given a lot of sort of general reasons to wear masks and whether those reasons are good
00:22:25.300 or bad point is they would still apply even if COVID doesn't exist. All right. Our friend,
00:22:32.420 Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez has earned some mockery again, this time for selling socialist merchandise
00:22:37.820 on her website, which is already ironic in and of itself. But the best part is this tax,
00:22:43.720 the rich sweatshirt for a $58, 58 bucks for a tax, the rich sweatshirt. Um, and I guess we really
00:22:52.540 shouldn't call this ironic because socialists being hypocritical, socialists trying to profit
00:22:57.560 off of socialism. That's par for the course. I mean, that's, that's a feature, not a bug
00:23:03.160 completely expected part of the package still worth mocking though. And of course, you know,
00:23:08.480 only rich people are going to buy this sweater saying tax the rich. Every person who buys this
00:23:15.440 sweater will be rich comparatively rich. I mean, I'm not saying that you have to be rich. You have
00:23:19.740 to be a millionaire to afford a $58 sweater. But if you're buying sweaters with snazzy slogans for 58
00:23:26.720 bucks, that probably means you've achieved a level of wealth and luxury far above the vast majority
00:23:33.080 of the globe at a minimum. In fact, if you're buying sweaters for 30 bucks, you've, you've,
00:23:39.420 you're probably in that category as most people in America are. One other, uh, AOC related thing
00:23:46.200 here. I enjoyed this tweet from her. She says, Republicans like to make fun of the fact that I
00:23:52.100 used to be a waitress, but we all know if they ever had to do a double, they'd be the ones found
00:23:57.960 crying in the walk-in fridge halfway through their first shift because someone yelled at them for
00:24:02.740 bringing seltzer when they really wanted sparkling water. Now there's a lot to unpack here. Um,
00:24:09.560 starting with this idea she has that working a double is some sort of, some sort of, uh,
00:24:15.940 really impressive thing that very few people have done. But you think we're, you think Republicans
00:24:20.920 have never worked double shifts? Um, I've worked double shifts. A lot of us have. It's, it's,
00:24:26.620 it's, it's, it's not terribly impressive, but also this is such a specific scenario. She's giving
00:24:33.340 again, really sounds like this is a person with a lot of experience crying and walk-in fridges.
00:24:40.620 I I've worked doubles. I've worked in the food industry. Um, I I've, I've never cried in a walk-in
00:24:47.520 fridge. I've never been tempted to cry in a walk-in fridge. I've never seen anybody crying in a walk-in
00:24:53.620 fridge. I mean, that would be awkward if you just run in to grab the frozen cheese or whatever.
00:24:57.620 And there's someone breaking down in tears in the middle of the freezer. What do you do about that?
00:25:04.220 So this, this, this sounds like a woman and no surprise here, but it sounds like a woman who
00:25:09.020 did a lot of crying and a lot of walk-in fridges. My other question is why the walk-in fridge of all,
00:25:13.600 of all the places to cry? I guess I, you know, I understand that it's a isolated place,
00:25:17.480 but it seems a little, it doesn't seem like the most comfortable place for a crying fit.
00:25:21.260 I mean, why not go to the bathroom for that? If it were me now, I've already made clear men,
00:25:28.920 of course, don't cry in general, especially not at work. But if I had to choose a spot for it,
00:25:33.240 I would think probably the bathroom stall is the best place. It's not as cold, you know,
00:25:37.600 it's more, more privacy, but that's a, that's Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez. Yeah. I could definitely
00:25:44.720 see that from her. She gets yelled at for, but first of all, I can see her getting the order wrong
00:25:49.240 and bringing the wrong kind of water and then crying because someone said, and it doesn't even
00:25:53.460 have to be that she's getting chewed out about it. Just someone says, Oh, Hey, uh, you brought me,
00:25:57.580 uh, you brought me seltzer. I wanted sparkling water. Then she just breaks down in tears and runs
00:26:01.540 out of the room. Um, in any case, uh, by the way, Ben Shapiro is going to be, has more, maybe not on
00:26:08.700 the crying in the walk-in fridge thing. Maybe he'll talk about that too, because it's a great topic,
00:26:12.060 but, um, the tax, the rich sweater, Ben's been on top of this on Twitter and he's going to have more on
00:26:16.520 that, uh, great perspective on that. So tune into his show for that. We've, we've got one other,
00:26:21.000 one other headline here. Um, and in fact, maybe no setup is needed. I'll just show you this video.
00:26:26.500 If you haven't seen it, this is Cher, the singer Cher, uh, singing to an elephant. Listen.
00:26:33.040 Yeah, I don't know why that's happening. Uh, the elephant's name is Kavan. If you're wondering
00:27:02.620 who the victim is here, Cher, Cher flew to a zoo in Pakistan to sing to the elephant.
00:27:11.280 You know, um, I don't know what the elephant did to deserve that treatment. Uh, you know,
00:27:18.180 I'm not a big animal rights guy, but this level of animal cruelty is shocking to me personally,
00:27:23.400 upsetting. Um, is this sort of some sort of punishment regime from the zoo?
00:27:28.220 Like you step out of line, they call Cher up to come sing. That's really, really rough. It's not
00:27:35.680 much different from the way that I punished my own kids. In fact, except that I make, if they're
00:27:39.800 out of line talk back or something, I make them listen to Beyonce acapella, uh, which is pretty
00:27:45.200 harrowing. But, and then reading from, for more from the pink news article, it says, and just trying
00:27:51.380 to figure out what's going on here and why this is happening. Um, I mean, this might just, this is
00:27:56.400 Cher with them. This is just how she spends her weekend. I guess she just goes around singing to
00:28:00.160 elephants, but it says after serenading Kavan Cher flew with the elephant to Cambodia where he was
00:28:06.560 greeted by Buddhist monks. He had to be tested for COVID-19 before his flight. They need a pretty big
00:28:13.860 swab for that, for that test, I guess. So she sang to him and then brought him on a plane to meet with
00:28:19.420 Buddhist monks. You know what? Uh, maybe it's best to not try to understand this and to just let it go
00:28:25.180 right there. And that's it. Now is definitely the time. If you're not a Daily Wire member,
00:28:30.660 now is the time to do it because we've got so much stuff coming up right around the corner. Uh,
00:28:35.480 you know, certainly into the new year, but even before the new year, Michael Knowles just, uh,
00:28:40.220 just rolled out his five day a week show with more content for members to enjoy. We're also adding
00:28:45.360 the entire PragerU catalog to the dailywire.com. Uh, that's all going to be there by the end of the
00:28:49.800 year, but we've already got some stuff there. Candace Owens is joining the Daily Wire and she'll be here
00:28:53.440 in Nashville. She's going to be launching a new show with a live audience. We're excited about
00:28:57.340 that. We're building an investigative journalism team. We're doing feature films. We're doing a lot
00:29:02.660 of stuff. So if you want to go outside the narrative, you got to come over to the dailywire.com
00:29:07.320 slash subscribe. We're loud. We're opinionated. We're having a good time. At least some of us are
00:29:11.660 over at dailywire.com. Um, and also, uh, this is not so much of a good time, but the Christmas
00:29:17.640 ornaments we've been telling you about, if you want to hang us in effigy on your tree,
00:29:20.580 you can text Christmas to eight, three, four, zero, zero to get your tree decorated. And I think
00:29:25.700 even better than that, we would, we told you about the, the, the tax, the rich sweatshirt.
00:29:31.160 Well, we've got our own two can play at that game. AOC, we've got our own sweatshirts. Um, so you
00:29:35.680 can check out our new insert woke slogan shirt. And so, you know, you can, that's, that's a good
00:29:40.500 thing. We're not going to tell you what woke slogan. We just, whatever woke slogan you want.
00:29:44.220 Um, that's the shirt. Our shirt, by the way, is cheaper than AOC's socialism sweatshirt. And you
00:29:50.400 could check it out by texting woke to eight, three, four, zero, zero. Go check out that sweatshirt
00:29:56.100 now. Uh, now we'll get to our daily cancellation.
00:30:03.260 So today we're going to preemptively cancel vaccine mandates. Um, this week, the department of
00:30:09.100 defense released an image of the trusty new COVID-19 vaccination record card that you'll,
00:30:16.560 you might have in your wallet. CNN explains quote, vaccination cards will be used as the simplest way
00:30:20.980 to keep track of COVID-19 shots. Said Dr. Kelly Moore, associate director of the immunization
00:30:25.880 action coalition. Everybody will be issued a written card that they can put in their wallet.
00:30:30.460 It will tell them what, what they had and when their next dose is due. Moore said, quote,
00:30:36.600 let's do the simple, easy thing first. Everyone's going to get that. Vaccination clinics will also
00:30:41.340 be reporting to their state immunization registries, what vaccine was given. So that for example,
00:30:46.300 an entity could run a query if it didn't know where a patient got a first dose. Moore said,
00:30:51.440 many places are planning to ask patients to voluntarily, voluntarily provide a cell phone
00:30:55.980 number so they can get a text message telling them when and where their next dose is scheduled to
00:31:01.260 be administered. Okay. Now to be clear, they're not saying at the moment that you'll have to carry
00:31:08.180 this card around with you at all times, but that you'll, you'll be required to present it in order
00:31:12.520 to access goods and services. But there's a strong push in that direction right now with some major
00:31:17.900 industries publicly toying with the idea. This is a live debate in the airline industry, for example,
00:31:23.860 and Australia's Qantas Airways has already announced that they will eventually only allow those who can
00:31:31.000 prove they've gotten the vaccine on their flights. The same discussion is being had among schools.
00:31:36.640 The Miami-Dade County superintendent has already said that vaccines could be mandatory for students
00:31:41.860 next year. And elsewhere, you can find plenty of headlines. Like on CNBC, it says,
00:31:46.400 can your employer require you to get a vote, a COVID vaccine? Here's what experts say. By the way,
00:31:52.480 they all appear to be saying yes. And then on Yahoo, should the coronavirus vaccine be mandatory?
00:31:58.040 Now, all this makes it clear that vaccine mandates are not a conspiracy theory. This,
00:32:04.120 there's a very good chance we're heading in that direction. And there are many powerful forces trying
00:32:09.440 to push us there. As for the government, the government forcing us to get the vaccine,
00:32:13.720 that has also been discussed, but mostly in an intentionally indirect and confusing kind of way.
00:32:19.960 For example, here's Joe Biden giving his thoughts on whether the government can and should mandate
00:32:27.900 vaccinations. Tell me if you can make sense of this.
00:32:30.760 We should be thinking about making it mandatory. How could you enforce that?
00:32:33.980 Well, you couldn't. That's the problem. Just like you can't afford, you can't enforce measles.
00:32:37.680 You can't come to school unless you have a measles shot. You know, you can't, but you can't say
00:32:42.200 everyone has to do this, but you would just like, you can't mandate a mask, but you can say you can
00:32:49.080 go to every governor and get them all in a room, all 50 of them as president and say,
00:32:53.660 ask people to wear the mask. Everybody knows. And if they don't, fine. And they don't know,
00:32:58.860 not fine. Then I go to every governor. I go to every mayor. I go to every councilman. I go to every
00:33:04.220 local official say, mandate the mask. Man, say, this is what you have to do when you're out.
00:33:10.000 I don't know if you got that. According to Joe Biden, the government can't mandate it,
00:33:16.160 but they can tell everyone they have to do it. Isn't that a mandate? How do you define
00:33:22.740 mandate if that isn't a mandate? But the ambiguity is the point. They aren't going to be forthcoming
00:33:29.000 about their real plans and intentions, and they haven't been this entire time. And again,
00:33:32.620 that's not a conspiracy theory. That's an observation. So look, a few things here. First of all,
00:33:39.040 as for my own position on the COVID vaccine and any other vaccine, it's very simple. I've never
00:33:45.120 been dogmatic when it comes to vaccines. I believe that if you want the vaccine, you should get it.
00:33:52.160 If you don't want it, you shouldn't get it. That's it. It is perfectly sensible to make your
00:33:59.000 own decisions, make them based on your own risk level. You may determine that you're at a very low
00:34:04.940 risk for COVID. Not everybody has the same risk. There are some people in some demographics that
00:34:10.040 have a very low risk. And so you may look at yourself and say, you know, I don't want to get
00:34:14.460 the vaccine. I don't need it. You may decide that you're high risk. And so that you, so you do want
00:34:19.280 to get it. Both of those choices are valid. Or you may decide that you're uncomfortable with getting
00:34:25.080 a new vaccine that's been made so quickly. Now you'll be treated like a wacky conspiracy monger if
00:34:30.260 you, if you take that position now, but you'll remember that that was the position taken by Andrew
00:34:36.360 Cuomo and many Democrats very recently. Cuomo said he wouldn't necessarily trust a vaccine rushed out
00:34:42.620 quote unquote by the Trump administration. Many Democrats were very reluctant to say that they
00:34:46.900 would get the shot if Trump was the guy in charge. Now they've all changed their tune because they're
00:34:51.680 anticipating a Biden presidency, but they said what they said. And they cannot credibly claim now that
00:34:57.120 it's unreasonable to be wary about the very vaccine that they were publicly wary about,
00:35:02.280 not but a few weeks ago. But again, to my way of thinking, this is entirely up to the individual.
00:35:08.140 You know, it's interesting that the people who normally scream about bodily autonomy
00:35:12.800 seem to abandon that ship whenever the topic of vaccines comes up. Now, personally, I think that
00:35:19.640 bodily autonomy is a basically nonsensical term, but if it could, if it could make sense in relation to
00:35:25.940 any subject, it would be this. If we have bodily autonomy, then the government or anyone else trying
00:35:31.780 to force you to inject a substance into your body must violate it. And bodily autonomy aside,
00:35:38.380 I am simply in principle opposed to the idea that any adult in America should be required to inject
00:35:43.440 or ingest anything that they don't want to inject or ingest. Doesn't matter what the thing is.
00:35:49.000 I oppose it on principle. And I don't think that's some kind of radical libertarian position.
00:35:55.040 One other thing to consider. If we do end up needing vaccination cards as a requirement for entry
00:36:01.400 into government buildings, stores, schools, planes, invariably, the people who support these policies
00:36:08.480 and who help to put them in place will be the same people, almost without exception, who would tell you
00:36:14.200 that it's a horrific infringement on personal liberty to require IDs to vote. Requiring an ID to vote,
00:36:20.240 these people say, is onerous, unfair, even racist somehow. Even though the point of the ID is just to
00:36:29.000 make sure that you are who you say you are. That's it. It's not to ensure that you've done something or
00:36:33.940 you've jumped a certain hurdle, much less injected or ingested anything into your body. It's just to
00:36:40.260 verify that you are who you say you are. And yet that is too much. That is a great burden.
00:36:48.720 But vaccine cards, we will be told, we're already being told, are totally different.
00:36:54.200 Though, of course, the people saying that won't be able to explain how they're totally different
00:36:57.800 because they can never explain anything they say. We are expected to simply shut up and comply,
00:37:03.660 as always. And that is why the COVID vaccine mandate and those who push it are preemptively
00:37:08.780 canceled. I'm going to get in early to cancel it ahead of time. It's the only way to be safe.
00:37:13.540 And that'll do it for us today. Thanks for watching, everybody. Thanks for listening.
00:37:18.100 Have a great day. Godspeed.
