00:00:00.000 Today on the Matt Wall Show, big tech is in the middle of a massive purge of conservatives. It's
00:00:04.420 worse now than it's ever been before, and the new Democrat administration hasn't even officially
00:00:08.340 taken over yet. So how bad is it going to get? Also, five headlines, including AOC claiming
00:00:12.380 that half of Congress nearly died when the Capitol was stormed on Wednesday. And in our
00:00:17.420 daily cancellation, we have an example, we have a real example of actual systemic racism. We can
00:00:23.380 see what it's really like, what it really looks like, courtesy of Joe Biden. All of that and more
00:00:26.820 today on the Matt Wall Show. Well, before we get going today, I want to tell you about our good
00:00:38.220 friends over at Charity Mobile. You know, with everything happening in the world today, especially
00:00:41.140 now, it's never been more important for us to find the companies that support us as conservatives and
00:00:48.940 support our values and to support them, you know, because it's a sort of a mutual relationship here.
00:00:54.140 And that's what Charity Mobile is. One company that fits the description as a company that
00:00:59.360 supports our values is Charity Mobile, because they're the pro-life phone company. And the reason
00:01:02.980 they're the pro-life phone company is that 5% of your monthly plan price with Charity Mobile
00:01:06.620 goes to the pro-life, pro-family charity of your choice. And that's the financial piece of it. And
00:01:13.120 that's really important because that's a lot of money that's going to the fight for life and the
00:01:16.500 culture. But what that also just tells you is that this is a company whose values line up with our
00:01:22.480 own and you can feel proud to, you know, be a customer of a company like that. A lot of other
00:01:28.980 perks as well. New activations and eligible accounts get a free cell phone with free activation and free
00:01:32.920 shipping. There are no contracts. There's no termination fees. There's a 30-day guarantee,
00:01:38.780 so there's no risk either. And if you have any issues whatsoever, they've got live customer service
00:01:44.040 based right here in the USA, which is great also. And, you know, you want to be able to protect your
00:01:48.740 kids if they have a cell phone. So you've got the ability to block the use of cellular data,
00:01:52.760 picture messages, text messages on any or all of your accounts. You have that kind of control over
00:01:56.940 it. They're going to give you a free app to monitor your usage, pay your bills, and whatever
00:02:01.940 else you need to do makes it a lot easier. And all the while, you're helping to build a culture of life
00:02:07.400 in America while supporting a pro-life phone company at the same time. Here's what you need to do.

00:02:19.820 You may remember back in 2012, two gay men visited a small bakery in Lakewood, Colorado,
00:02:24.700 asking for a cake for their upcoming wedding ceremony. The owner of the shop, Jack Phillips,
00:02:29.100 politely informed them that he couldn't provide a custom wedding cake for a gay wedding due to his
00:02:33.740 Christian beliefs, but he offered to sell them any other baked good in stock. The couple left,
00:02:38.900 they didn't want anything else, and they promptly filed a human rights complaint with the Colorado
00:02:42.660 Civil Rights Commission, which sided with the gay men and ordered Phillips to bake the cake,
00:02:47.320 pay the fine, and attend mandatory anti-discrimination training for himself and all of his staff.
00:02:52.820 Phillips appealed the decision, and the ensuing six years were a nightmare of litigation,
00:02:57.120 fines, and court cases for him culminating in arguments presented to the Supreme Court.
00:03:01.320 But even after the Supreme Court sided with Phillips and chastised the Civil Rights Commission for its
00:03:06.540 overreach, still the LGBT lobby would not leave the matter alone. A few years later, Phillips was
00:03:11.920 in court yet again for declining to make another cake, this time a cake meant to honor a man's
00:03:17.300 transition into a woman, a request made by a trans activist who was clearly looking for an excuse
00:03:22.700 to sue, by the way, and found it. Now, through all this, the media, the Democrat Party, and the left
00:03:28.800 generally have been nearly unanimous in their position that Jack Phillips is guilty of unspeakable
00:03:34.320 human rights violations, and that he should not have the right to refuse service to anyone on
00:03:40.440 account of his own personal convictions. They've argued stridently for years that allowing a man
00:03:45.280 like Phillips to decline to make a custom wedding cake for a gay wedding, even though he was willing
00:03:50.360 again to sell them any pre-made item in the store, he wasn't turning them down, he wasn't refusing
00:03:55.360 them service, he just said, this one particular service I can't give you for this act, for this
00:04:01.460 particular event. But they said that that would lead to the alienation and ostracization of certain
00:04:07.700 groups of people, and that such an outcome is untenable in society. The same things have been
00:04:13.160 said about florists who don't want to provide flowers for gay weddings, and t-shirt companies
00:04:18.100 that don't want to make t-shirts for gay pride parades, etc. In all of these cases, the left has
00:04:24.660 absolutely rejected the freedom of association and free enterprise arguments and insisted that,
00:04:30.420 for the sake of the greater good, business owners sometimes have to be forced to provide services
00:04:36.060 they don't want to provide. Now, this is all important background when we consider recent
00:04:41.820 actions by the most powerful big tech companies in the world. Using the riot on Capitol Hill as an
00:04:47.320 excuse to do something that they were almost certainly going to do anyway, Twitter last week,
00:04:51.860 as I'm sure you heard, permanently banned Donald Trump. That is, the sitting president of the United
00:04:56.920 States banned him from their platforms. Facebook, Snapchat, Instagram all announced similar measures.
00:05:03.720 Reddit got into the act, banned the subreddit dedicated to Trump. That's out too. At the same
00:05:09.720 time, Twitter embarked on what appears to be a massive purge of conservative accounts as conservatives
00:05:15.220 with large followings experienced significant drops in their follower counts. Starting last week
00:05:21.800 and going into this week, I lost around 25,000 followers in the span of two days, which doesn't
00:05:27.420 come close to winning the prize for the steepest fall. And the point isn't that we're upset that
00:05:32.180 we lost followers. The point is that that represents 25,000 accounts, for me anyway, that were wiped out.
00:05:39.320 So, this is not the first time that these companies have teamed up to purge and punish the cultural
00:05:45.580 heretics. Usually, when these things happen, those on the left will sneer that, you know, we conservatives
00:05:52.460 should just suck it up and make our own social media sites so that we can engage in wrong think
00:05:58.440 out of view and away from polite society. As it happens, some conservatives have done exactly that
00:06:05.180 with sites like Parler. And Parler, at first, experienced a dramatic surge in traffic this past week
00:06:11.080 because conservative refugees from other sites poured in and set up accounts on their platform.
00:06:18.360 But then, the next shoe drops. Amazon, Apple, and Google announced that they're going to be banning
00:06:25.340 Parler from their servers and app stores. Parler CEO John Matzzi said that all of the site's vendors,
00:06:31.720 every single one, including text message services, email providers, even their lawyers,
00:06:36.620 abandoned them all at once, on the same day, all at one time. And now Parler's down. If you try to
00:06:44.480 go there, now it's down. And it's going to be down for the foreseeable future. Will it ever be up again?
00:06:49.780 We don't know. They have to figure out a way to exist on the internet while being blacklisted by Apple,
00:06:56.120 Amazon, and Google. That is a very difficult, if not impossible, thing to pull off, especially if you
00:07:03.100 don't have massive financial resources. The stated reason for this move against Parler is that somehow,
00:07:09.920 in an unspecified way, Parler is violating unclear rules against violence and illegal activity and
00:07:16.760 incitement and obscene content. But it goes without saying that none of these companies have ever cracked
00:07:23.120 down, ever, on users who celebrated or encouraged the BLM riots, nor have Apple, Google, or Amazon punished
00:07:31.720 any social media sites that play host to such content. And as for illegal activity, I mean, come on.
00:07:38.220 You can find plenty of that on apps that are still available on these platforms. Many murders and rapes
00:07:43.780 have been linked to hookup apps like Grindr and Tinder. And yet, again, there has been no crackdown on such
00:07:49.860 a large scale or even on a smaller scale. The reasons given do not hold up to the slightest scrutiny.
00:07:55.640 The truth, then, is painfully obvious. The wealthiest and most powerful companies in the world
00:08:00.840 have engaged in a coordinated campaign to silence ideologically dissenting voices and drive them
00:08:07.140 from the public square. That's what's happening. The people who sit by and watch this approvingly,
00:08:13.520 applauding the purge, calling for more of it, are the exact same people who have issued many ominous
00:08:20.080 warnings about the dire consequences of allowing a small bakery in Colorado to decline to make a
00:08:26.180 customized cake for a gay wedding. Somehow, they argue, gay couples who might have to drive a mile
00:08:32.640 down the road to a different cake shop in the same town to get a customized pastry are being saddled with
00:08:37.380 a traumatizing burden. And if we don't impose harsh legal penalties on the bakery that refuse them,
00:08:46.260 we risk the eventual exclusion of all gay people from modern society. That's what they say.
00:08:51.840 Yet, they continue, there is no such risk and no imaginable problem with allowing multi-billion
00:08:57.880 dollar tech companies to collaborate with each other to expel politically inconvenient voices
00:09:03.040 and relegate them permanently to the backwaters and ghettos of the internet.
00:09:08.040 They do not believe that the small town bakery has any claim to freedom of association or free
00:09:14.360 enterprise. But they will happily afford those considerations to the billion dollar conglomerates
00:09:21.520 who control almost every aspect of our lives. And these are also the people who usually tell us
00:09:25.900 about the evil corporations and how terrible they are. This is all, of course, completely backwards.
00:09:32.860 And it could only be so backwards because the people who hold this backwards view are not worried about
00:09:38.780 intellectual consistency and are not bothered by their own lack of integrity. And they don't care
00:09:44.380 if you notice it either. In reality, there is no significant downside, no serious consequence
00:09:51.000 to a small business owner in middle America somewhere choosing not to provide a service for a ceremony he
00:09:58.200 opposes for religious reasons. At most, on the part of the spurned customer, it amounts to mildly hurt
00:10:05.780 feelings and a minor inconvenience as they, again, just have to get in the car, just drive right down
00:10:11.540 the street to a different bakery. Same exact thing. The cake will be just as good.
00:10:18.200 There are, however, cataclysmic downsides and outright dystopian consequences to allowing
00:10:25.200 the companies that essentially control the entire internet to engage in coordinated ideological
00:10:30.860 discrimination on this scale. And the other difference between these two situations is that
00:10:36.220 a bakery is merely a bakery. It's a small private business and nothing more. But what about Facebook
00:10:42.520 and Twitter? What are they? We don't even know. Are they platforms? Are they publishers? Are they
00:10:48.260 utilities? Are they all of those things? The answer to that question determines whether they have the
00:10:53.920 right to do what they're doing. And if they do currently have the legal right, the next question is whether
00:10:58.720 they ought to have that right and whether laws should be changed so that they don't have it.
00:11:04.360 I cannot see how any rational and honest person could possibly argue that the bakery doesn't and
00:11:10.740 shouldn't have the right to decline one form of service to one customer, yet the big tech monopolies do
00:11:16.800 and should have the right to ban millions from all of their services, effectively muting their voices
00:11:22.680 in the public sphere and excluding them from the national conversation. That doesn't make any sense.
00:11:27.300 Now, there is a purist libertarian argument that defends both the big tech monopoly and the bakery on an
00:11:34.480 equal basis, but that's not the argument that most of the people defending big tech in this case are
00:11:39.240 making. And also, I think it's a bad argument anyway. Big tech is in a class by itself because of the
00:11:46.620 stranglehold it has on all of our lives, whether we like it or not. The question is not whether they should
00:11:52.820 be allowed to inconvenience us or bruise our egos or hurt our feelings, it's whether they should be
00:12:00.380 allowed to control us, censor us, and rule us. The bakery is not going to rule over us. The bakery has
00:12:08.560 no control over our lives at all. Utterly powerless. That's not the case for big tech.
00:12:16.160 And the answer to whether or not they should be allowed to control us, censor us, and rule us is no, they
00:12:22.160 should not. They should be reined in. They should be held to basic standards of ethics, fairness, and
00:12:28.840 transparency. But unfortunately, the next part of the answer is that though they shouldn't be allowed to do what
00:12:34.320 they're doing, they have been allowed to do it. And Trump and the GOP didn't do anything to prevent it when they
00:12:41.220 had the power to prevent it. So this is where we are now. And it's not going to stop. The left cannot win
00:12:48.680 based solely on its ideas. It cannot win through argument or advocacy. They know it. And that's why
00:12:55.220 they're done with arguing against your ideas. Instead, it's very simple for them. They'll just ensure that
00:13:02.120 your ideas are not heard in the first place. Now let's get to our five headlines.
00:13:11.220 Uh, you know, big, big football weekend, by the way, in more, more positive news and lighter news,
00:13:18.840 big football week. I feel kind of bad being, um, happy this morning after the Titans lost because I,
00:13:27.960 you know, it just moved to Nashville. So I'm a, I'm a Tennessee resident now, but I'm also a big
00:13:32.440 Ravens fan. So big, uh, big matchup between the Titans and Ravens yesterday. Ravens win. I feel great
00:13:38.040 about it. The rest of the town, they're all in mourning and tears. And I'm just skipping merrily.
00:13:42.440 I skipped to work today, merrily whistling and singing. That's how happy I was. And it's, it's,
00:13:47.620 it's bad too, because it's, uh, you know, these are two teams that don't like each other. And at the
00:13:51.740 end of the game, the Ravens, uh, Marcus Peters got an interception to seal the deal. And then they went
00:13:56.120 to the middle of their, they're playing in Nashville. They went to the middle of the stadium
00:13:59.280 on the Tennessee Titans logo and just started dancing and stomping on it, which in fairness,
00:14:05.540 the Titans did it first because Titans played the Ravens in Baltimore earlier in the season,
00:14:09.740 did the exact same thing. Now, usually I wouldn't accept that excuse for my kids.
00:14:14.820 They did it first, but in this case, I accepted because I'm a Ravens fan and I kind of loved seeing
00:14:19.920 it. Also it's football and that's just the way these things should go. I, you know, I don't believe
00:14:23.340 in the teams shaking hands and they pretend to be friends. No, you should hate each other when
00:14:28.420 you're on the football field. That's how I feel. Uh, but that was great. We have more on, on, uh,
00:14:33.260 on football weekend and, uh, coming up a little bit later in the five headlines, but let's start
00:14:37.900 with this. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez was on ABC this weekend and, um, made some rather dubious claims
00:14:46.140 about the Capitol Hill riots and the, the, uh, the danger that she says she was in. Let's,
00:14:51.720 let's take a listen to this. Republican members of Congress who opposed, uh, raising objections to
00:14:56.700 the certifying the electoral college vote have written a letter to president elect Biden opposing
00:15:00.700 impeachment. Here's what the letter says. It says in the spirit of healing and fidelity to
00:15:04.580 our constitution, we ask you fully request that speaker Nancy Pelosi discontinue her efforts to
00:15:09.100 impeach president Donald J. Trump a second time, a second impeachment only days before president
00:15:13.560 Trump will leave office is as unnecessary as it is inflammatory. They're saying for the sake of
00:15:18.960 unity forgo impeachment. Well, you know, I think there's a couple of things. One is we have to
00:15:26.460 understand that what happened on Wednesday was insurrection against the United States. That is
00:15:33.160 what the, that is what Donald J. Trump engaged in. And that is what those who stormed the Capitol
00:15:38.460 engaged in. And so when we talk about healing, the process of healing is separate and in fact requires
00:15:45.840 accountability. And so if we allow insurrection against the United States with impunity, with no
00:15:52.980 accountability, we are inviting it to happen again. That is how serious it is. And I do not believe
00:16:00.200 that, that perhaps my colleagues weren't in that room. Perhaps my colleagues were not fully present
00:16:07.520 for the events on Wednesday, but half of, we came close to half of the house nearly dying on Wednesday.
00:16:14.680 Oh, you did. Half of the house nearly dying. Half. Really? That's what we came close to.
00:16:21.560 And she, she has no, the phoniness here, of course, is off the charts across the board with everything
00:16:27.360 she said. Um, and the idea that, that half of the house almost died is, is she has no basis for saying
00:16:33.800 that. But then again, this is the woman to remember if you're, if you're, you shouldn't be surprised to
00:16:38.380 see drama and hyperbole from Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez. This is the woman who went down to the border.
00:16:44.000 And if you remember a couple of years ago, uh, took, took pictures of herself pretending to cry
00:16:49.540 outside of a, uh, immigrant detention center. Actually, she wasn't even outside of the detention
00:16:53.580 center. She was outside of a parking lot. She took pictures of herself outside of an empty parking
00:16:57.620 lot, posing as if she was in tears. So keep that in mind. That's, that's who this is coming from.
00:17:04.740 But everything else about this was insurrection, insurrection, even if it was okay. Uh, I'm not
00:17:13.740 even arguing about what label we put on it, whether it was or wasn't. I don't believe for a second that
00:17:19.800 Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez or any of the other Democrats actually care about insurrection in principle
00:17:24.720 because they certainly didn't care. But leftist radicals set up their own country in the middle
00:17:32.900 of a, of an American city for months and were allowed to do it. And we all just went about our day
00:17:40.060 and said, okay, well that's something you can do now. Apparently they set up their own sovereign
00:17:45.160 country. Said they were seceding from the union, had their own country in the middle of the city.
00:17:50.880 Is that not insurrection? Or as I pointed out many times last week, invading a police station
00:17:56.040 and burning it to the ground. It's a government building. That's an attack on law enforcement.
00:18:01.800 Is that insurrection? She didn't care about that.
00:18:05.600 And speaking of pretending to care about things, it has, it has, it's very difficult for me to hear
00:18:12.160 people like this, um, or Democrats generally, as they have been in the media, um, over the last
00:18:20.380 several days has pretend, has been pretending to mourn the death of officer Sicknick, who's, uh,
00:18:27.340 the officer who, who died during the, uh, during the Capitol Hill riot. Now I mourn for, for the
00:18:34.320 officer and for his family and I'm devastated that he died. I'm infuriated by, by his loss. Now it's also,
00:18:43.440 it's also not yet clear. It's not exactly clear yet how he died. There's a lot of information we
00:18:48.800 haven't been given. And as far as I know, the, the, the images of, of his interactions with the
00:18:54.040 crowd, whatever happened at that incident, we haven't seen any image of, we haven't seen any
00:18:57.500 video. We haven't seen any photograph as far as I know. And I've looked, um, maybe there isn't any
00:19:02.340 image, but that would be hard to believe these days. So it's not exactly clear what happened,
00:19:07.320 but, or how it happened. They haven't given us all the information yet, but however it happened,
00:19:13.820 it's a terrible tragedy because we know that an officer died yet. Now you have Democrats
00:19:18.780 in the media talking about officer Sicknick and how terrible it is and what a tragedy it is.
00:19:23.980 And it is terrible. It is a tragedy. I just don't believe that they give the slightest damn about
00:19:31.360 him. And the reason for that is that this is the only dead cop that these people have ever mourned
00:19:39.460 ever prove me wrong. Find me another example because there unfortunately have been a lot of dead police
00:19:46.040 officers through, through history. And especially this past year, a lot of police officers were
00:19:53.580 physically assaulted. Police officers would beat over the head with bricks during BLM riots.
00:20:00.780 We got, we got video in New York, police officer getting beat over the head with a brick.
00:20:06.240 The only reason he didn't die, he didn't die. Thank God. It's not for lack of trying though.
00:20:10.660 We don't give BLM credit because, well, they tried to kill a bunch of cops, but they failed.
00:20:17.180 You don't get credit for that. It's, it is, it is the rest of society's great fortune that he's still
00:20:23.560 alive, but you tried to kill him. But anyway, do you remember, did, did Alexandria Kaye as a credit?
00:20:27.600 Did any Democrat, when that video came out in New York of, of the cop getting beat over the head
00:20:31.920 with a brick, how many Democrats, how many people in the media condemned it? Did any of them?
00:20:36.120 So I don't believe it. They don't really care.
00:20:44.580 You know, pretending to be upset that, uh, the, the flag wasn't put at half-mast outside the White
00:20:48.780 House right away. Once again, I think the flag should be at half-mast and now it is. I think
00:20:53.820 it should have been at half-mast right away. Do they actually give a damn though about that?
00:20:58.740 No, they don't. Absolutely full of it. Um, speaking of being full of it, number two,
00:21:07.660 big news from Colin Powell. He is, uh, leaving the Republican party again. I think this is his
00:21:14.760 fifth time leaving. He's gone for the Guinness record, which is eight, I believe that I got to
00:21:18.460 check again, but here's Colin Powell leaving the Republican party again.
00:21:21.380 And that's why I can no longer call myself a fellow Republican. You know, I'm not a fellow
00:21:26.420 of anything right now. I'm just a citizen who has voted Republican, voted Democrat throughout
00:21:31.260 my entire career. I would hope that the Republican party, as they're moving away from this fellow
00:21:38.240 who's no longer the president, I hope they would not let him back into the camp so he could
00:21:43.540 demonstrate or say that, oh, I'm still here. I'm going to do it all. No, you're not. You're
00:21:47.320 out and act like you're out. Okay. Yeah. So another, another time this was, this was news
00:21:54.080 the first time he did it back in like 2008 or seven or eight to whenever it was. But Colin Powell
00:21:59.560 is this guy now. He's one, he's one of many guys that, um, that the, the media has on tap where they,
00:22:04.780 they just bring him in every few months to leave the Republican party. If they need a guy to leave
00:22:09.280 the Republican party, they just bring Colin Powell in again. Just one of those guys that they have do
00:22:12.880 that. And we've seen this a lot over the last four years. Um, people performatively denouncing
00:22:19.280 and leaving the Republican party over and over again. I mean, it's one thing to do it once. If
00:22:22.760 you're leaving, you're leaving fine, but to keep on doing it. And, and, uh, at a certain point it's
00:22:29.680 like, well, you've already left. So what does this mean? It's kind of like, it's in the same vein
00:22:33.720 as when the left boycotts a company that they would never use in the first place, a store they never
00:22:39.300 go to, they boycott like a hardware store. They don't boycott a hardware store. You know,
00:22:43.880 they don't even know what a screwdriver looks like except the kind that you, you know, get at a bar.
00:22:49.000 Um, so that, that's, that's the, the first thing. And the other thing is let's pretend this was
00:22:56.300 Colin Powell's first time that he's leaving the Republican party or anybody else, you know,
00:23:00.940 people in the administration who are resigning in protest or some of the people that have come out
00:23:05.600 in the last week and said, I'm done with this. Um, that, that's not really worth anything
00:23:12.520 because whatever you think of Trump and how he's acted, he's, he's, he's been Trump the whole time.
00:23:21.340 Right? So this is, this is, this is who Trump's been. And if you're just deciding right now,
00:23:27.180 when it happens to be the end of his administration, that now you're going to come out and make your big
00:23:31.640 stand. Um, yeah, I'm not very impressed. I have to say talk about it. It is like the emptiest of
00:23:38.620 empty gestures imaginable. All right. Number three, Brian Stelter on CNN wants you to know that the
00:23:45.820 big tech purge is really no big deal. No big deal at all. Don't worry about it. Here's a Brian
00:23:51.200 Stelter's argument, but it doesn't get much more shameful than this white house aides talking about
00:23:57.880 a narrative shift. Trump advisor saying they want people to talk about big technology and not the
00:24:03.860 riot. You know what? I have had enough of this talk that they can try to change the narrative
00:24:09.200 that they can try to divert attention. How about focusing on the funerals? How about focusing on
00:24:14.820 the fact that this president hasn't even had the flags in Washington lowered to have staff
00:24:19.520 in respect for the Capitol police officer who was killed, who was attacked. How about that? How
00:24:25.700 about some focus on that? You know, I think what's clear, Victor and Christine, in the last couple
00:24:29.640 of days, we've seen more and more videos of the riot from different angles, uh, visuals that we
00:24:35.300 didn't see live on Wednesday. It's become more and more clear. This attack was even more violent than
00:24:40.640 we saw live on TV. This was even more treacherous. Trump's behavior was even more disturbing than we
00:24:46.340 knew in real time. Uh, we were minutes away from a possible massacre of lawmakers in our country,
00:24:53.880 in our, in our seat of government. And, and I, you know, I actually think as the days go on and
00:24:58.520 people process this trauma and we see more and more of these videos, this story becomes bigger
00:25:03.440 and it becomes worse. So good luck, Mr. President talk about big technology. I'm sure that his super
00:25:09.680 fans, the most loyal of his fans will go along with that petty attempt at a diversion. But I think
00:25:15.640 the vast majority of Americans will see through it. How do people watch this guy on purpose?
00:25:21.080 Every time I see a clip like this, I can barely get through it. Imagine there, I, I, I guess there
00:25:28.240 are people who sit down on their couch, like on a, I don't know when his show airs, but on a Saturday
00:25:33.720 and they say, I'm going to spend an hour watching this guy. My God. Now, I mean, we, we know that,
00:25:40.720 that 90% of CNN, CNN's audience are people in, you know, dentist waiting rooms and airports. So maybe
00:25:47.720 that accounts for all of it, but I just can't imagine it or understand why, but in any case,
00:25:53.840 he's, he's worried about changing the narrative. We're distracting from the real story. Yeah. We
00:25:59.420 know, we know Brian Stelter and CNN. They're really worried about that. These, these are the people
00:26:03.940 we recall who, you know, spent months and months telling us about coronavirus and how it's the worst
00:26:12.000 plague in history and we're all going to die. And then, and then at the drop of a hat, they just
00:26:15.860 dropped that and, uh, we're cheering on mass rioting for months on end. And then when the mass
00:26:23.120 rioting ended, they picked right back up with the coronavirus again. But yeah, they're, they're
00:26:28.360 concerned about changing. We don't want to change the narrative too much. Sure. Number four, uh,
00:26:34.220 the news last week was that president Trump will not be attending the inauguration, which,
00:26:38.900 you know, in every sense to me, it seems like, like it's probably for the best. Isn't, isn't it
00:26:46.140 for the best? Isn't, isn't it best for everybody involved? Trump, Biden, the country, if Trump just
00:26:51.440 isn't there, but CNN thinks it's disgusting. They're very offended by it. And I think they know,
00:26:57.680 I know the real reason why they're upset and I'll talk about that in a second, but here, here it is.
00:27:01.980 The president already had as a parting shot, an alleged incitement to a deadly riot.
00:27:08.900 And now he will add one more 12 days from now by denying that step that presidents have done
00:27:15.560 since the mid 19th century, attending their successors inauguration. Tell us the significance
00:27:21.920 of this to his legacy. What remains of it? Well, he's absolutely a sore loser, isn't he? Jim? And
00:27:28.780 you contrast what he said last night. Uh, and it just proves how false those words were last night
00:27:35.000 in that, in that video. As a friend told me, it looked like a hostage video, uh, that, uh, you know,
00:27:41.240 he was forced, he was forced to make those statements and he put sent out tweets today that
00:27:45.920 make it clear. He didn't really believe what he was saying. Uh, and I think for him not to come as,
00:27:50.620 as he is an ultimate insult, you know, there are a lot of people who are going to be glad he's not
00:27:55.040 there, uh, because he would distract a lot of attention. It would be a lot about the Biden Trump
00:28:00.700 dynamic on the, on stage and we'll be spared that at least, but nonetheless, this is wrong.
00:28:06.620 Um, and if we're going to heal the country, uh, we have to, Trump has to play a part in that and
00:28:13.040 bring his base around and to say, we're going to be part of the normal politics. And when we lose,
00:28:18.020 we lose, but we'll try to take it back next time. I just, it would be so much better for the country.
00:28:23.340 I think this is, you know, he's just so insulting in so many ways, uh, and such a cry baby. It's just
00:28:29.540 disgusting. It's funny. He says cry baby at the end of the, after he just was crying for,
00:28:34.000 for 90 seconds. It's so disgusting. It's so disappointing. I'm just so, I'm so offended by
00:28:38.600 it. And he even acknowledges that it's probably for the better because that's exactly right.
00:28:43.580 What he said, if, if Trump is there, all we're going to hear about and all they're going to cover
00:28:47.860 is the dynamic between the two and all of the shots are going to be on Trump. It'll be a Biden's
00:28:54.860 inauguration, but it would be all about Trump because if Trump is there anyway, it's always going to be
00:28:58.460 all about Trump. Um, especially as far as the mass media is concerned. So they say it's, so this was
00:29:04.400 the right move by Trump. And I can guarantee you it's what it's also what, by the way, Biden probably
00:29:11.740 prefers. So what, why are they upset that he's not there? It's not because it's disgusting and
00:29:18.140 insulting. We all know it's for the best. Well, the answer is just that they want, they, if he's not
00:29:24.060 there, then that gives them less to talk about less to cover. They want that controversy. That's
00:29:31.080 what they want. It Trump being Biden's inauguration by itself, who cares? Who's going to tune in to
00:29:39.880 watch Biden's inauguration? Nobody gives a damn Biden's inauguration with Trump there. Now that's
00:29:47.400 the ratings bonanza. Everybody's going to tune, I would tune in just to see how that plays out.
00:29:53.360 So that's what they're, that is what they're upset about. What they are disgusted by is that Trump
00:29:57.600 has just denied them the ratings that they would have gotten. That's what this is all about. All right.
00:30:04.340 So NFL playoffs this week, as I already mentioned, um, some really great football games. Also something
00:30:08.900 a little strange, a little different. Nickelodeon hosted its first playoff game. Um, the idea was to
00:30:14.120 get the kids into football, I guess. So they put, they put the games on Nickelodeon too.
00:30:17.660 And, or at least one of the games they put on, um, saints and, and, uh, and bears game they put
00:30:22.520 on Nickelodeon and they added new features like virtual slime and cartoon graphics and all kinds
00:30:28.540 of stuff. And this is real. They really did this. So let's play. We have some of the footage here.
00:30:32.500 Let's just play this. See what this looked like.
00:30:35.060 Uh, yes, exactly. Oh, it's brought down another turnover right there.
00:30:44.120 John Jenkins in the bread basket. Bear hugs it and the bears are in business.
00:30:49.400 Big celebration on the field now. Oh yeah. Nate, when you were back, uh, playing football,
00:30:54.680 how did you come up with the perfect touchdown dance? What did that feel like?
00:30:58.140 I used to practice in the mirror the night before the games.
00:31:00.660 Oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh.
00:31:06.580 We have a cartoon slime. I just want to see what happens in the touchdown. Here it is.
00:31:10.620 I think this is the touchdown.
00:31:12.120 Tops it off. Latavius Murray has some space in front. Makes a nine miss. And he's into the end zone.
00:31:17.260 Yep. And then the cartoon slime. Okay. So that's, that's what that looked like.
00:31:20.720 And you had, you know, you had different, the announcers a little bit different. Um,
00:31:24.680 they had a woman in the, in the, in the announcing booth. Nothing wrong with that.
00:31:28.800 Um, but, uh, there was the Nickelodeon thing. It actually wasn't, I watched a little bit of that
00:31:35.800 and I, so I, I sort of wanted to hate it, but I thought, well, this is kind of cool.
00:31:41.820 I don't know. I'm, I'll, I'll be okay with it. It's obnoxious, but I'm fine with it.
00:31:46.580 My real problem, if I'm looking for something to have a problem with, here it is. Uh, my real
00:31:50.760 problem is, is with this, that Nickelodeon viewers, you know, the kids watching, um, they got to vote
00:31:56.740 on their own MVP candidate, which they're calling the MVP, the Nickelodeon's valuable player.
00:32:02.260 And they gave it to Mitch Trubisky, who's the quarterback of the bears. The bears lost 21 to
00:32:06.680 nine in the game. Trubisky went 19 for 29 passing for 199 yards, one touchdown, not terrible. Um,
00:32:13.940 especially by his standards, but is it MVP worthy? And this is the problem with kids today.
00:32:19.520 First of all, they don't know a damn thing about football. Okay. My seven-year-old son voted for
00:32:24.700 Mitch Trubisky. And I said to him, you obviously have no idea what the hell you're talking about.
00:32:28.560 Drew Brees had 265 yards, 70% completion rate, two touchdowns, a QBR of 107, and he won the game.
00:32:33.940 And, and you're going to vote for Mitch Trubisky. Go to your room. You're grounded.
00:32:39.440 This is the problem with kids. First of all, clueless about the facts. Second, guided by emotions
00:32:45.540 rather than data and evidence. They felt sorry for Trubisky. So they gave him the award.
00:32:51.540 Pitiful is what I say. But anyway, congratulations to Mitch Trubisky. This is the only, this, this is
00:32:58.660 the only football related honor he will ever win. And, uh, so I say maybe we should just let him have
00:33:04.320 his day in the sun. Before we get to our daily cancellation, you know, one thing that historically
00:33:10.460 I have struggled with in my life is, uh, not getting great sleep, kind of insomnia, being very
00:33:15.760 uncomfortable at night. And recently though, um, ever since I got a MyPillow and I've, and I've
00:33:21.700 been working with MyPillow, that has not been a problem with me. I'm telling you the best sleep
00:33:25.380 you'll ever get is with a MyPillow. And it's great for me because I sleep very soundly. I sleep like a
00:33:30.400 baby. Um, it, my wife, you know, it's, it's a little bit harder for her sometimes because that
00:33:35.740 means like if the kids are crying in the middle of the night, she's the one who wakes up and hears it,
00:33:39.040 but I'm doing great because I'm comfortable. So I can only endorse MyPillow. The thing about MyPillow is
00:33:43.880 their pillows don't go flat. You can wash and dry them as many times as you want and they maintain
00:33:47.820 their shape. And best of all, they're made right here in the USA. If you don't have a MyPillow or
00:33:52.140 you know someone who doesn't have one, now's the time because for a limited time, Mike is offering
00:33:55.920 his premium MyPillows, the ones that started it all, you know, the, the, the classic MyPillows for
00:34:00.660 as lowest price ever. You can get a queen size premium MyPillow, which is normally $69.98 for only $29.98.
00:34:07.540 Okay. That's the deal. It's 40 bucks in savings. It's over 50% off. Uh, and Kings are only five bucks more.
00:34:12.680 Now's the time to buy. If you want to try out the MyPillow, see what everyone's been talking about,
00:34:16.980 then do it right now. $29.98 for a queen size premium MyPillow. Um, and I can tell you my,
00:34:24.040 this is, this is the truth. I use a MyPillow every single night and, um, it, it has solved all of MyPillow
00:34:29.740 problems, which I didn't even know I had pillow problems until I got a MyPillow. So go to MyPillow.com
00:34:34.960 and click on the radio listener square. Um, there you'll find not only this amazing offer,
00:34:39.500 but also get deep discounts on all MyPillow products, including the Giza dream bed sheets,
00:34:44.000 the MyPillow mattress topper and MyPillow towel sets. All great. Um, you can get those,
00:34:49.260 or you can call 800-651-1148 and use promo code daily wire. Well, something else to talk,
00:34:56.920 talk about, um, briefly, and this is obviously already spent the first part of the show talking
00:35:01.480 about this, uh, censorship from big tech. The actions of big tech last week made it very clear
00:35:07.140 that they will do everything they can to silence opposing voices. Um, I mean, remember they, this is,
00:35:13.260 this is beyond even maybe what, what some of us, this is beyond some people's worst nightmares for
00:35:18.680 what would happen, you know, this quickly where, where they're, uh, not only driving people away from
00:35:23.780 the big platforms, but then trying to take down the platforms where the conservatives then go and
00:35:29.020 congregate like parlor. That's what they're doing now. Um, we've already told you for us and our
00:35:34.800 platform at dailywire.com. We've told you about our ambitious plans with investigative news and
00:35:38.580 entertainment content, but with the actions of big tech last week, it's pretty clear that we can't
00:35:43.660 stop there. Um, it's clear that we need to do a lot more than that. We have to take action to build
00:35:48.100 or buy tech to protect ourselves from the attack that's coming so that we can continue to deliver
00:35:52.580 new content to you. And we can also fight back. And so that we, we all have this us and you as the,
00:35:58.500 as the audience, we have this place to come and congregate. Um, we're exploring all possibilities.
00:36:03.820 So new data centers, payment gateways, a lot more. There's, there's tons that can be done.
00:36:09.060 Um, and our team has been working hard on all of this. I know that they were up all weekend
00:36:12.980 working on this, but we can't do all that on our current budget. That's just the reality. We need
00:36:17.340 more of your support. So just, just to give you some of the numbers here so that you understand,
00:36:22.240 we're being totally transparent. There are 50 million of you that we reach every single month.
00:36:26.200 In the first phase, we need 1 million members to take on this fight. And so 50 million of the people
00:36:31.580 in our audience, we need to convert, you know, a small fraction of that, uh, into members. New York
00:36:37.400 Times has over 7 million paying subscribers. WAPO has 3 million subscribers. Uh, HBO Max is 13 million.
00:36:43.480 Netflix has 73 million. So you have, you see how powerful they are. If you think all these companies
00:36:47.660 need a challenger, then we need your membership. Uh, if you believe in what we've done so far,
00:36:52.560 if you like our content, if you rely on it, then we need you to step up and help us win.
00:36:58.760 Because the other thing is you, you, you know, if you, if you access our content through Facebook
00:37:02.740 or YouTube or Twitter or something like that, that's great. But what we know is that you,
00:37:07.300 you cannot rely on those platforms to facilitate, um, us coming together. That that's, that might not
00:37:13.680 happen for very long. You could get banned. We could get banned. We all could get banned at any
00:37:18.420 moment. And that's why before that happens, uh, we need to build up this platform to everything
00:37:23.100 that it needs to be. If you think your freedoms are at stake and that the future of the country
00:37:26.180 depends on this fight, then I mean, you're right. Now is your chance to do something about it. Join
00:37:30.180 Daily Wire right now. Uh, we don't know what they're going to hit us with next. Nobody saw really the last
00:37:37.140 week coming and it's, it's not going to get better from here. So that's why right now is the time to join
00:37:42.360 Daily Wire, uh, to have a platform where we're not relying on these big tech oligarchs become a member
00:37:48.020 at dailywire.com slash subscribe and tell all your friends do the same again, dailywire.com slash
00:37:54.020 subscribe. Let's get now to our daily cancellation. So today, exciting news for Joe Biden as he's getting
00:38:03.260 his first cancellation of his term and his term hasn't even started yet. I expect there'll be many
00:38:07.960 occasions to cancel Biden in the years ahead during the course of the Harris administration. So, um,
00:38:13.660 I'll have to choose my spots a little bit. Can't cancel them all, unfortunately, but here's a spot
00:38:17.660 definitely worth choosing. Joe Biden delivered a speech this weekend discussing his plans for
00:38:22.860 coronavirus relief and he wants to save American small businesses. He said after spending now he wants
00:38:27.720 to save them after spending months supporting the policies that are destroying them. But here he is
00:38:32.380 describing the plan and how the plan will be implemented. Listen, focus will be on
00:38:37.900 small businesses on Main Street that aren't wealthy and well-connected, that are facing real
00:38:43.800 economic hardships through no fault of their own. Our priority will be black, Latino, Asian, and Native
00:38:50.620 American-owned small businesses, women-owned businesses, and finally having equal access to
00:38:55.540 resources needed to reopen and rebuild. Okay, so he says his priority will be black, Latino, Asian,
00:39:00.860 Native American, and women-owned businesses. Not just his personal priority, but the priority of his
00:39:05.460 administration, his government, when, um, when helping these businesses out. There's a term for
00:39:11.540 this. It's one we hear a lot. It's called systemic racism. If that term has any meaning at all,
00:39:18.180 then this must be it. Let's look at it. Racism, dictionary definition, prejudice, discrimination,
00:39:23.360 or antagonism directed against a person or people on the basis of their particular membership in a,
00:39:28.040 in a racial group. That's what this is. And it will be systemic in a literal sense. It will be
00:39:33.740 discrimination by the system. Now notice something here. He mentions black, Latino, Native American,
00:39:41.100 women, and Asian business owners as the priority groups. This is a problem because first of all,
00:39:46.340 he said Latino instead of Latinx, which proves that he's transphobic. And speaking of which,
00:39:51.360 he didn't specifically mention trans business owners as a priority or gay business owners or
00:39:56.880 bi-gendered, polysexual, drag queen business owners. Leaving me to assume that he hates all those
00:40:02.760 people and is literally Hitler. What other explanation could there be? These are the rules
00:40:06.900 now, but more to the point, the inclusion of Asians is telling because Asians do better than white people
00:40:14.140 in this country, economically, financially. Their median household income is something like $20,000
00:40:20.180 higher. So this already is pretty good evidence that white privilege is a myth. You know, it's white
00:40:26.500 privilege, but the people who do the best here aren't white. So that tears down that whole house
00:40:32.980 of cards. It's also evidence that the prioritization of non-whites in Biden's plan has nothing to do with
00:40:38.520 helping the disadvantaged, despite how it's being sold, because that's what they'll tell us. They'll
00:40:42.480 say, well, these are just the groups. It's not about the race. It's just that these are the groups who
00:40:46.400 are most disadvantaged. And so we're trying to help them out. Well, Asians are quite a bit less
00:40:52.320 disadvantaged. They are more advantaged than whites. And yet they get the priority while white males are
00:40:58.560 left in the dust. The real point for Biden and Harris is simply to punish white males. That's
00:41:03.560 the point. He might as well have saved himself some time and some words, especially as it obviously
00:41:08.840 strains him to speak words. So he could have saved that trouble and just said, white males will get the
00:41:13.740 short end of the stick. Or he could have said, we will make sure that white males don't get any help
00:41:18.400 because that's the point. The point is who they aren't helping, not who they are helping. And this
00:41:24.740 is what we can expect in the years ahead. The Harris administration with Biden as its figurehead
00:41:30.380 will be the most racist in modern American history. The left is long past hiding its racial
00:41:36.460 bigotries. They blame white males for all the ills in the world today and through history. And now they
00:41:42.700 intend to punish the villains. And the problem is that most conservatives, as usual, have been too
00:41:48.420 afraid for years to meet this head on and call it what it is. They have believed what the left has told
00:41:54.700 them, that either anti-white racism doesn't exist or it's not a big deal or that somehow it's racist in
00:42:01.300 itself to call it out and oppose it. But that was nonsense. Always was. Is and was. We all know that
00:42:10.540 that if Donald Trump had ever given a speech where he announced a plan to give relief to business
00:42:15.600 owners with priority to white males especially. Can you imagine that? The entire country would lose
00:42:20.340 its mind. Democrats would call for their third impeachment and there would be near unanimous
00:42:25.820 agreement that his plan was racist. Nobody would disagree. It's no different here. We never should
00:42:32.420 have allowed the left to pretend that racism is somehow different when directed at white males.
00:42:37.520 But that's the lie that has cemented itself into our culture. The cancer that has metastasized.
00:42:44.360 And we're going to see how bad it gets. Because they literally haven't even gotten started yet.
00:42:51.120 But for now, Biden is canceled. So I'm doing my part at least. I don't know what the rest of you can do,
00:42:58.160 but I will at least cancel him repeatedly. Hopefully that'll do something. Won't do anything,
00:43:04.880 but helps me vent anyway. Helps me emotionally. And that's it. We'll leave it there for today.
