The Matt Walsh Show - Ep. 667 - The Democrats Declare Total War On Reality

00:00:00.000 Today on the Matt Wall Show, Democrats declare total war on reality, passing the Equality Act,

00:00:05.240 which seeks to legally erase women and give delusion precedence over reality. Also, 0.98

00:00:09.620 five headlines including Rand Paul's brilliant and bold questioning of a HHS nominee who supports

00:00:15.340 drugging and mutilating gender-confused children, and another race hoax exposed, 0.96

00:00:19.700 but not before lives were ruined because of it. In our daily cancellation, we will discuss the

00:00:23.500 plight of Mr. Potato Head, who is struggling to decide whether he is gender fluid or not,

00:00:28.760 all of that, and much more today on the Matt Wall Show.

00:00:38.760 Before we get going today, I want to tell you about our very good friends at Rock Auto.

00:00:43.540 You know, the thing with Rock Auto is they're going to save you time and money. There's no

00:00:46.640 reason to be going to the auto parts store if you have any car trouble, if you need anything.

00:00:50.480 No reason to go to the auto parts store and spend all your time there, spend more money than you

00:00:55.000 need to. And you can just go to rockauto.com. You have access to rockauto.com with you that you

00:01:00.880 carry around in your pocket. You know, you carry rockauto.com around in your pocket. Maybe you

00:01:04.080 didn't know that. You can use your phone or sit at your desk on your laptop. Rockauto.com always

00:01:09.460 offers the lowest prices possible rather than changing prices or, you know, basically trying

00:01:14.900 to milk you for all your worth. They're not going to do that. And rockauto.com is what I really like.

00:01:20.700 It's a family business. They've, they've, they've been serving auto parts customers online for 20

00:01:25.120 years. You can go to rockauto.com to shop for auto and body parts from hundreds of manufacturers.

00:01:30.460 And you have the peace of mind of knowing if you find it on rockauto.com, whatever you're looking

00:01:34.400 for, you're most likely going to find it on rockauto.com. And you also can know that you're

00:01:38.740 getting the best price. You don't need to look anywhere else. This is the best price you can

00:01:41.900 possibly get. The rockauto.com catalog is unique, very easy to navigate. That's a comment that I hear a lot

00:01:47.940 from people that go to the website. It's really easy to find your way around and you could quickly

00:01:52.640 see all the parts available for your vehicle and choose the brand specifications and prices you

00:01:57.020 prefer. So go to rockauto.com right now, see all the parts available for your car or truck. And

00:02:02.440 remember to write Walsh in their, how did you hear about us box? So they know that we sent you.

00:02:06.740 When John Money, the 20th century psychologist, pedophilia apologist, and all around quack first

00:02:11.960 invented the concept of gender identity several decades ago, he probably couldn't imagine that the

00:02:17.360 Democrat party would one day enshrine his half baked crazy ideas into law. Back when Money was

00:02:24.180 running sexual experiments on young boys, having them strip on camera, simulate sex acts on each

00:02:29.900 other and forcing one to live as a girl against his will, it would have seemed like a pipe dream that

00:02:34.340 in the not too distant future, his ideas, his theories about biological sex and gender being too

00:02:40.640 somehow distinct and valid forms of identity would be legislatively imposed on the American population.

00:02:46.480 And when his two human experiments eventually went on to kill themselves, I'm sure Money might have

00:02:51.520 feared that his theories would end up on the proverbial ash heap of history, but that's not

00:02:56.780 what happened. Now the good doctor who died 15 years ago can look up from wherever he is, and I have

00:03:02.540 some theories about where that might be, and feel proud that although the concept of gender identity is

00:03:08.300 nonsensical and incoherent, and though his attempt to scientifically prove the validity of his

00:03:14.760 theories ended with the suicides of two people, still his ideas won the day, and soon the entire

00:03:20.820 country will be forced by law to live according to them. So the so-called Equality Act was passed by the

00:03:27.760 Democrat-controlled House of Representatives on Thursday, moves now to the Democrat-controlled Senate.

00:03:31.860 The law is a sweeping and radical assault on religious liberty, women, children, moral decency, sanity.

00:03:40.080 It is indeed the most serious legislative attack on women's rights in American history, as it seeks to

00:03:46.660 legally erase women in a way and to an extent that not even the most dastardly and misogynistic agent of the

00:03:53.420 patriarchy could have ever dreamed. The people who were worried that Mike Pence would bring

00:03:58.640 handmaid's tale to life were, the whole time, working to establish their own dystopia that goes

00:04:04.640 far beyond anything that Margaret Atwood conceived. The bill has other significant consequences, too. As

00:04:10.580 our own Ian Haworth explains for the Daily Wire, the Equality Act sets the stage to dismantle religious

00:04:16.840 liberty. He writes in a recent article, quote, the Equality Act would expand protection against

00:04:21.100 discrimination provided by the Civil Rights Act, such as employment and housing, to also cover

00:04:25.660 federally funded programs and public accommodations, which include retail stores, online retailers,

00:04:30.660 stadiums, transportation service providers, etc. As an example, this would mean that businesses

00:04:35.800 targeted in discrimination suits for refusing certain services based on religious objections

00:04:39.800 would be impacted by the Equality Act, such as florists or bakeries. The Equality Act would also

00:04:44.780 supersede the Religious Freedom Restoration Act, passed in 1993, which, quote, set a higher bar for the

00:04:50.700 government to defend laws if people argued those laws infringed upon religious freedom.

00:04:55.660 Now, the Act also obliterates conscience protections for those who don't want to fund or

00:05:01.340 perform abortions. Alexandra DeSanctis, in National Review, lays out the details. She writes,

00:05:06.900 under the Equality Act, healthcare professionals will be required by law to perform sex reassignment

00:05:11.720 procedures or offer related hormone treatment, even if such procedures contradicted their own best

00:05:19.180 medical judgment. So, too, the law would treat refusals to perform an abortion as pregnancy

00:05:24.360 discrimination, which would be treated as an illegal form of discrimination on the basis of sex.

00:05:30.640 The Equality Act redefines sex to include pregnancy, childbirth, or a related medical condition.

00:05:36.800 And as the bill's opponents have noted, federal agencies and courts have already determined that

00:05:40.740 the phrase related medical condition can be interpreted to include abortion. This is all quite horrifying on

00:05:47.040 its own, but it isn't even the most extreme consequence of the bill. Worst of all, the Civil 0.91

00:05:51.840 Rights Act of 1964 would be updated to include sexual orientation and gender identity as protected

00:05:58.600 classes on the same level as race. The text of the bill reads, in part, quote, an individual shall not

00:06:05.360 be denied access to a shared facility, including a restroom, a locker room, and a dressing room that is

00:06:10.560 in accordance with that individual's gender identity. In fact, as already noted, this mandate would apply

00:06:17.460 to all public accommodations, and conveniently enough, pretty much everything counts or can count as a

00:06:22.680 public accommodation. Your home does appear to be exempt at the moment, but the Democrats, I'm sure,

00:06:27.820 will not let that loophole remain for very long. What this means is that if this law passes, it will be

00:06:33.420 effectively illegal to provide any private or exclusive spaces to women. Bathrooms, sports teams, 1.00

00:06:41.340 locker rooms, all of these must, by law, be opened to any man who demands access. Under the Equality 0.87

00:06:49.140 Act, the government would not recognize woman as being a necessarily distinct category from men. All that

00:06:57.340 matters is a person's gender identity. This raises an important question. What the hell is gender

00:07:05.240 identity? Well, it's not really anything in particular. It's an entirely invented artificial

00:07:11.300 concept originating with the child-abusing quack mentioned earlier that's probably best defined,

00:07:18.920 if it could be defined at all, by the Human Rights Campaign, which was a fervent and influential

00:07:23.720 proponent of the Equality Act. HRC says on the Sexual Orientation and Gender Identity Definitions

00:07:30.340 page of their website that gender identity is, quote, one's innermost concept of self as male-female,

00:07:37.680 a blend of both or neither. How individuals perceive themselves and what they call themselves.

00:07:43.980 One's gender identity can be the same or different from their sex assigned at birth.

00:07:48.180 Let us try to wrap our heads around the sheer lunacy here. Your biological sex is what you actually 1.00

00:07:58.020 are, your true sexual identity, as determined by immutable physical characteristics. Your gender identity

00:08:05.360 is what you feel like you are, or what you want to be, or how you perceive yourself. Under the Equality

00:08:13.500 Act, one's perception of themselves, even if incorrect, takes precedence over the reality of what they

00:08:22.060 actually are. The reality is no longer legally recognized at all, in fact. Delusion and fantasy

00:08:29.620 supplant, officially, truth. Falsehood wins the day. Of course, female sports teams never had anything to do 1.00

00:08:38.660 with self-perception. It makes absolutely no difference what a male thinks or how he feels

00:08:43.780 about himself or how he feels about anything. None of that changes his biological features,

00:08:47.880 which give him an unfair advantage over females. And though the male may feel like he was supposed

00:08:53.800 to have a vagina, whatever the hell that means, the reality is that he has the same equipment as any 0.99

00:08:59.700 other male and belongs in the same locker rooms and bathrooms as those other males. The sign on the 1.00

00:09:04.300 bathroom door says, or said, men and women, not those who feel like men today and those who feel

00:09:10.920 like women today. That's the only sensible and coherent way to organize these things, based on 1.00

00:09:17.420 what actually is, not how you feel. It's also the only way that provides women with the privacy and 1.00

00:09:24.700 protection they need. But sensibility and coherence are soon to be illegal. It doesn't take much

00:09:31.920 imagination to see where this goes. If self-perception is more important than reality,

00:09:36.360 if in fact self-perception is our new reality, then there's no reason whatsoever to limit that

00:09:41.960 standard to gender. I mean, what about a white man who seeks the advantages of affirmative action

00:09:48.720 in college admissions on the basis that he perceives himself to be black? It might be crazy to accept that

00:09:54.680 a white man is a black man just because he sees himself that way, but it's still quite a bit less

00:09:59.220 crazy than accepting that a male is a female on the same basis. What about a pedophile who perceives 0.82

00:10:06.780 himself to be nine years old? Again, it makes no sense to give his perception of his own age legal

00:10:13.080 precedence over the reality of his actual age, but it's certainly no more senseless than doing the same

00:10:18.600 in the realm of biological sex. Any argument for giving gender identity protected status would apply

00:10:25.560 absolutely to age identity, race, to age identity, race identity, or anything else.

00:10:33.140 As always, the left will scoff at what they will call a slippery slope argument. And then in a few

00:10:39.960 years, they will do exactly what they mocked us for predicting they would do. That's the way these

00:10:45.020 things always work and will most assuredly work in this case. The Democrats have declared total war

00:10:52.840 unreality. And we haven't even begun to reap the consequences. Now let's get to our five headlines.

00:11:06.580 Before we get to our five headlines, I want to tell you about paint your life. You know, one thing I've

00:11:18.160 how to, you know, I still am not the one who does the decorating. My wife does all of that. But I've

00:11:23.460 picked up a few tips and tricks along the way. And one thing I've certainly learned is that you need

00:11:28.220 some great paintings on the wall. That's what's going to bring the whole room together. It's going

00:11:32.420 to elevate it, gives it gives it a real sort of homey feel that you want. And that's why you need

00:12:28.080 or again, a great gift for yourself. Speaking of which, we are going to be getting another. We have

00:12:33.840 one painting from Paint Your Life. And my wife and I were talking, we definitely want to get another one

00:12:38.720 because we were so impressed with it. And so now it's just a matter of kind of, it's fun. You know,

00:12:43.000 you go through some of the pictures that you have and you decide which picture would you like to

00:12:46.820 convert into this work of art to put on the, on the wall. So we're in the process of doing that

00:13:13.360 at PaintYourLife.com slash terms. Again, text keyword Matt. So Rachel Levine, the male health

00:13:21.000 secretary of Pennsylvania who identifies as a female and who headed up the pandemic response in that

00:13:27.220 state, which was clumsy and disastrous and led to thousands of elderly deaths in nursing homes like

00:13:32.560 in New York. Pennsylvania also sent infected people into nursing homes on purpose, just like

00:13:39.440 New York did. But we're going to reward this person with a position purely on the basis of

00:13:48.380 identity politics, of course. Rachel Levine had a hearing in the Senate on Thursday and at least

00:13:55.140 one senator stepped up, that would be Rand Paul, to take him to task for his support of drugging and

00:14:01.140 mutilating gender confused children. A position that would be totally disqualifying in a sane and 0.70

00:14:06.600 healthy country. You know, it's it's if you have that position where you're in favor of drugging and

00:14:13.920 mutilating confused children, that should qualify you for a mental institution or prison, not for a 0.84

00:14:23.200 position in government. But as we've been talking about, this is this is we're looking at the

00:14:29.200 enshrinement of insanity, a war on reality, which is what the Democrats have been waging for some time

00:14:34.320 now. That's nothing new. So Rand Paul questioned Levine and couldn't get a straight answer. But let's

00:14:41.940 let's watch some of this. Let's let's watch Rand Paul at least make an attempt. You know, give it

00:14:47.460 the old college try to get an answer out of Rachel Levine when it comes to, you know, mutilating

00:14:53.760 children and what should the policy be with gender confused children. Here it is. Let's watch.

00:14:58.540 Dr. Levine, you have supported both allowing minors to be given hormone blockers to prevent

00:15:03.520 them from going through puberty, as well as surgical destruction of a minor's genitalia.

00:15:09.880 Like surgical mutilation, hormonal interruption of puberty can permanently alter and prevent

00:15:14.500 secondary sexual characteristics. The American College of Pediatricians reports that 80 to 95 percent

00:15:20.880 of pre-pubertal children with gender dysphoria will experience resolution by late adolescence

00:15:27.420 if not exposed to medical intervention and social affirmation. Dr. Levine, do you believe that minors

00:15:34.980 are capable of making such a life-changing decision as changing one's sex? Well, Senator, thank you for 0.99

00:15:42.220 your interest in this question. Transgender medicine is a very complex and nuanced field with robust

00:15:50.140 research and standards of care that have been developed. And if I am fortunate enough to be

00:15:55.000 confirmed as the Assistant Secretary of Health, I will look forward to working with you and your

00:15:59.620 office and coming to your office and discussing the particulars of the standards of care for

00:16:05.000 transgender medicine. Okay, so this is the old, you got to pass the bill to find out what's in it.

00:16:10.460 In this case, we're being told you got to confirm the nominee to find out what they actually think

00:16:16.140 about this issue. Because the response that Rand Paul gets, and we'll play the next clip, yeah,

00:16:20.320 because he, again, or we'll play the next clip in a second because he makes another attempt. But

00:16:24.980 the response is, well, why don't you confirm me? And then we'll all come to your office and we can

00:16:30.480 talk about it. No, why don't you talk about it now? This is a very simple question.

00:16:34.440 Very easy question. Of course, we already know the answer to it because we have Rachel Levine's

00:16:42.780 previous statements on this subject and he's been very clear about it. We already know the answer to

00:16:49.120 it. And if we didn't already know the answer, we'd know it now because, you know, when you're asked,

00:16:54.200 um, do you support genital mutilation of gender confused children and drugging them? When you're 0.51

00:17:02.940 asked that, that it's, if you answer anything, but hell no, what are you crazy? Of course not. 0.87

00:17:10.100 Any answer outside of that tells me that your real answer is yes.

00:17:15.160 And you don't belong anywhere in government or anywhere in civilized society.

00:17:18.640 Okay. This is, this is one of those issues and there are several of them, but this is certainly

00:17:26.460 one where if you ever, you know, if you're more on the, the, the moderate in the middle kind of person,

00:17:33.080 um, and you, you, you may be a little confused about who the real bad guys are. And I'm not going

00:17:39.840 to sit here and tell you that the Republicans are heroes, courageous heroes. They're, they're far from

00:17:44.260 it. Um, I think I like Rand Paul thing. Rand Paul is great, but I'm not going to tell you Republicans

00:17:52.220 are in general. There are clear bad guys though. And if you ever get confused about it, if you need

00:17:59.400 to be reminded, then go back and watch this exchange again, because there is one political party

00:18:06.060 that supports drugging and mutilating children, children who are simply confused as all children 0.53

00:18:17.280 are, it's very normal for a child to be confused. And of course, a child is going to be confused

00:18:23.880 about something like biological sex. If he's not given explanations, you know, if a child at the age

00:18:33.120 of four is, you know, a four-year-old boy start saying, Oh, I think I'm a girl. If at that moment,

00:18:42.760 his parents and his teachers, if he's in school and his doctors, if they all say to him, Oh no, no,

00:18:49.800 no, no, no, no, little Johnny, you're, you're, you're not a girl. You're a boy. 0.95

00:18:54.960 Or you can even ask him, why, why do you, why do you say that? Why do you, why do you say you're a girl?

00:18:59.160 Well, that's a really simple question. If you get any kind of answer at all from the four-year-old,

00:19:06.000 I guarantee it is going to be something along the lines of, um, he likes to play with dolls and he

00:19:12.960 thinks that, that pink dresses are pretty something like that. And because in his little four-year-old

00:19:18.640 brain, you know, he, that's, that's what he thinks a girl is. He doesn't know. He doesn't actually know

00:19:24.260 what a boy or girl is at the age of four or five or six. They don't, they don't really understand

00:19:29.520 what, what that means. So that little child, he's that's, that's all he's, he's drawing an

00:19:37.240 association. He's noticing, he's perceptive. And he's noticing that generally, uh, the, the,

00:19:42.960 the people that the adults call girls are, you know, they have the pink stuff and the dolls and 0.88

00:19:47.300 everything. And the, the people, the adult, the grownups call boys, they wear the blue and the

00:19:52.660 darker colors and they like trucks. And so if that four-year-old boy is going through a phase

00:19:56.460 where, you know, he's a little bit more interested in the dolls, big deal. Who cares? Fine.

00:20:01.420 What he's going to say is, oh, I am a girl. He doesn't know what that means because he's four.

00:20:07.540 What he actually means is I am interested in these things, which I associate with girls

00:20:12.940 and sane, decent adults will respond to that by saying, okay, great. You want to play with a doll?

00:20:21.140 I'll go play with a doll. It doesn't matter. Fine. You're still a boy though.

00:20:27.020 The child gets that kind of response from his parents, from, you know, all the adults in his

00:20:31.960 life. He'll be fine. He'll, he'll, he'll get over this phase of calling himself a girl

00:20:36.380 in a few weeks. If not, if not right that second.

00:20:40.060 But if the child is told, um, oh, well, if you say you're a girl, then maybe you are.

00:20:51.220 And if he's told this by all of the adults in his life, we trust, then of course, he's going to be

00:20:55.660 confused. Who wouldn't be? Fast forward a few years and now we're going to drug that child. 1.00

00:21:03.460 By the way, another thing, we'll hear this from Rand Paul in a second, just so you know,

00:21:09.960 um, when, when the left says that puberty blockers and all these hormone treatments and hormone pills

00:21:17.580 and stuff, um, given to children, when the left says that it's safe, that there are no long-term

00:21:25.200 side effects, they are lying. They are lying through their teeth. Either they are speaking out of

00:21:30.280 ignorance, um, or they are straight up lying because the fact is number one, it is definitely

00:21:37.440 not safe. You're using this, this medication off label. You're using medication that was not

00:21:43.460 made to be, to be given to children who are physically healthy. You are stunting intentionally

00:21:50.240 their normal physical growth. That is by definition, not safe in terms of all of the long-term

00:21:56.280 consequences. We don't know. Now a rational person can guess, can assume that there are going to be

00:22:02.080 a number of, of, uh, any number of, of serious physical, emotional, psychological, long-term

00:22:07.340 effects. But in terms of the full extent of it, we don't know because this, we are, we talk about

00:22:14.100 experiments. We're running experiments on a whole generation of kids right now. We don't know what

00:22:20.520 it's going to look like in 30 years. Democrats will just lie and they'll say, oh, it's safe. We

00:22:25.440 already know it. They don't know that. What they mean is, well, we hope it's probably safe. We hope

00:22:31.120 it's safe. And, uh, so we'll find out what we'll use these kids as guinea pigs and we'll check back

00:22:34.620 in 30 years, see how destroyed their life, their lives are. Unless they've killed themselves by then

00:22:40.300 as, uh, as, as the Reimer twins did. John Money's victims. All right, let's go back to, uh, Rand Paul.

00:22:48.260 He's makes another attempt to get an answer out of Rachel Levine. Here it is.

00:22:51.500 For most of our history, we believe that minors don't have full rights and the parents need to 1.00

00:22:56.180 be involved. So I'm alarmed that you won't say with certainty that minors should not have the

00:23:01.900 ability to make the decision to take hormones that will affect them for the rest of their life.

00:23:07.760 Will you make a more firm decision on whether or not minors should be involved in these decisions?

00:23:13.980 Senator, transgender medicine is a very complex and nuanced field. Uh, and if confirmed to the

00:23:20.480 position of assistant secretary of health, I would certainly be pleased to come to your office and

00:23:25.280 to talk with you and your staff about the standards of care and the complexity of this field.

00:23:30.760 Let it go into the record that the witness refused to answer the question.

00:23:34.680 The question is a very specific one. Should minors be making these momentous decisions for most of the

00:23:40.300 history of medicine? We wouldn't let you have a cut sewn up in the ER, but you're willing to let a

00:23:45.600 minor take things that prevent their puberty. And you think they get that back. You give a woman 1.00

00:23:50.820 testosterone enough that she grows a beard. You think she's going to go back looking like a woman 1.00

00:23:54.820 when you stop the testosterone, you have permanently changed them.

00:23:59.520 Rand Paul is exactly right. Of course. Um, and he got a lot of grief from the left

00:24:05.340 for calling genital mutilation, genital mutilation. What the hell else do you call it?

00:24:10.800 mutilation. You're taking a physically healthy person, uh, you know, a girl chopping their breasts 1.00

00:24:19.780 off. What else do you call it about mutilation? This is a, if this is a physically healthy person 0.86

00:24:26.240 or, you know, a male and doing a lot of incisions and cutting and things to, to, to, to fashion their,

00:24:37.400 their male reproductive organs to look like some approximation of female genitals. What, 0.81

00:24:45.940 what else do you call it about mutilation?

00:24:50.260 This is why I like Rand Paul. Um, uh, you know, I, he's a little too libertarian for my taste

00:24:54.460 on, on some things, but he gets the gender issue, right? He gets the life issue, right?

00:24:58.820 A lot of libertarians don't. And, uh, so I'm a big supporter of Rand Paul. Okay. Number two from

00:25:04.780 the New York post, it says a black student's allegations that she was targeted for eating

00:25:08.440 while black at a private Massachusetts college were deemed unfounded according to investigation

00:25:13.040 of the incident. Umu, uh, Kanute, then a rising sophomore at Smith college had claimed that all

00:25:19.480 she did was all, all she quote did was be black when a janitor, when a janitor called security on 1.00

00:25:25.620 her, when he found her in a closed lounge in July, 2018, a 35 page investigation carried out by an

00:25:32.080 outside law firm found no evidence of discrimination. The findings were issued in October, 2018, but not

00:25:38.340 widely reported. The incident began when Kanute was, uh, inside a cafeteria and dormitory that was

00:25:43.820 reserved for a summer camp program for young children. Since students were not supposed to

00:25:47.340 be used the area, a cafeteria worker, Jackie Blair reminded her of that fact, but then decided to drop 0.99

00:25:51.740 the issue. A janitor who was in his sixties had poor vision, then noticed a figure in the distance

00:25:55.680 eating in a closed off lounge area. Uh, and, uh, and, uh, so the school guidance calls for employees

00:26:01.860 not to confront strangers on their own. So the janitor notified security about the person who

00:26:06.220 turned out to be Kanute, uh, the outlet reported the janitor who reportedly later claimed he couldn't

00:26:11.300 tell the person's gender because it was dark, told dispatchers that there's someone sitting there

00:26:15.620 lying down in the living room. A security officer then drove over engaged in a polite conversation.

00:26:20.460 Uh, but this woman recorded it. And so she, she was where she was not supposed to be.

00:26:28.520 And, uh, you had school, you know, employees followed proper protocol to enforce the rules,

00:26:36.980 what they were supposed to do. Now you also have to keep in mind from their perspective,

00:26:41.520 you know, you've got a stranger in this area where they're not supposed to be as reserved for a summer

00:26:45.220 camp for kids. If they don't say anything and allow that person to be there,

00:26:50.460 and then, you know, if something happens, anything happens related to that, that person,

00:26:55.720 well, they're going to be in trouble for that. You know, they might be liable for that.

00:27:01.900 So they enforced the rules and, um, and the woman claimed that it was racism, 1.00

00:27:08.780 no basis for that claim whatsoever. This was back in 2018. The media ran with it. Everyone ran with

00:27:13.600 it. It went viral online. You may, I vaguely remember this when it first happened hearing

00:27:17.800 something like this. Um, and of course, you know, as a rational person, when I first heard the story,

00:27:23.600 I immediately thought, what, how, what, is there any evidence that this is race-based at all?

00:27:32.220 Obviously there wasn't. And, um, but even so, uh, a lot of the people involved with this,

00:27:39.300 the janitor was placed on leave the following day. I mean, people lost their jobs. People were

00:27:44.080 smeared, um, across the media as being racist. These are normal. I mean, talking to a janitor

00:27:51.020 at a school, these are normal working class people, totally innocent who were smeared, libeled, um, 1.00

00:27:58.420 you know, defamed as racist, had their lives ruined, had their careers ruined, lost their jobs.

00:28:08.220 All because of this, all because of this lie from this despicable person who was looking for attention.

00:28:16.240 You know, for her, that's all she was at, she, she's at this fancy college. Everything's,

00:28:21.980 everything's going well in her life. Her life's going to be fine, but she wanted a little bit of

00:28:27.780 attention. She wanted some attention on social media. She wanted to get some Facebook likes

00:28:31.660 and some retweets. And for that, just for that sake, she was willing to destroy the lives of

00:28:37.460 however many people. Didn't matter to her. Think about what a, what a sociopath you have to be

00:28:43.360 for such little reward. You're willing to completely destroy innocent people. 0.99

00:28:54.900 All right. This is number three from Reuters. Um, the United States on Thursday carried out an

00:28:59.480 airstrike in Syria against a structure belonging to what is said where I ran back, back to a militia,

00:29:05.040 um, which is an apparent response to rocket attacks against us targets in Iraq. Well,

00:29:08.800 this is, you know, the neocons are back in business. This is, this is the return of normalcy.

00:29:16.620 Normalcy is restored. We're bombing overseas again.

00:29:21.980 This I guess is what, it's what the left wanted, right?

00:29:27.380 So congratulations. You get, you got what you wanted.

00:29:31.140 Starting the wars in the Middle East again. Uh, number four from the daily wire, it says internet

00:29:35.140 mega retailer. Amazon appears to have quietly updated an internal rule, uh, just the news

00:29:40.260 reports, eliminating an exemption for books and periodicals from its site-wide policy against

00:29:45.180 selling items that contain or promote hate speech. So Amazon appears is now, um, in fort. Now they

00:29:53.220 haven't made, as far as I know, any official announcement about this, but it appears that

00:29:58.940 they are expanding their, um, their policies against hate speech. And they're now taking down books.

00:30:04.540 And, uh, this started earlier in the week with, um, Ryan T Anderson and his book, when Harry became

00:30:12.660 Sally responding to the transgender movement, that was unceremoniously removed from Amazon.

00:30:19.320 Um, and it looks like this is the beginning of, of, of, of something, you know, there's, there's more

00:30:24.200 yet to come, but keep in mind with, with this book, when, when Harry, um, became Sally, rather the

00:30:32.180 Ryan T Anderson book, this is a very, we talked about this on the backstage. If you watch backstage

00:30:36.720 episode, it's a very scholarly book. Um, very civil, compassionate. Uh, you know, it's a good

00:30:46.460 book. And this, this, as Ryan T Anderson does, if you're familiar with his work, that's how he

00:30:52.680 approaches this issue. Like any issue from a scholarly, really intelligent kind of way. It's,

00:30:57.200 it's, it's, it's, it's not inflammatory at all. Okay. He's not like me. He's not throwing digs in

00:31:03.600 there. He's not being inflammatory. He's not yelling and screaming in written form. So if this

00:31:09.680 book can be, can be taken down as hate speech for no other reason, then it presents the other side

00:31:19.540 of the argument. It simply argues against left-wing gender theory. And that's why it was taken down.

00:31:28.480 And if Amazon is doing that, then, I mean, it's, it's game over as far as Amazon goes.

00:31:35.620 You know, they, it's not like they started with some fringe book from some super inflammatory,

00:31:43.680 you know, fringe figure, a way off on the far right. If they're starting with Ryan T Anderson,

00:31:50.180 that's bad news. Five. Finally, the daily wire reports in a nine page Instagram post,

00:31:57.240 singer and songwriter Demi Lovato called gender reveal parties transphobic and claimed that, um, 1.00

00:32:04.480 there are boys with vaginas and girls with penises. Lovato claimed throughout the lengthy post that 1.00

00:32:10.180 transgender activists dislike gender reveal parties because they divert from reality quote

00:32:15.580 unquote to Lovato and other activists. Reality is the concept that humans are born without any concept

00:32:19.960 of gender. So she's, this is a lengthy post. She's against gender reveal parties. And I, I read this

00:32:27.020 and I thought this is unfortunate because now that means, now that means I guess I have to be in favor

00:32:32.780 of gender reveal parties. I have very consistently been opposed to gender reveal parties, not on the basis

00:32:38.940 of them being transphobic, but just on the basis of them being completely silly and ridiculous. 0.99

00:32:43.760 And also it turns out dangerous because people are dying every year from these, from these dumb 1.00

00:32:47.760 things. That's the reason I oppose them. I think it's, you don't need to, we don't need all the 0.98

00:32:53.780 pageantry over the fact that, uh, you know, your, your child has a gender. Just tell people you're 0.87

00:32:59.960 having a boy. Great. Let people know, send out a text message, call people up, post it on Facebook,

00:33:04.680 whatever you want to do. We don't need a whole party just for that reason.

00:33:07.620 That's been my take on gender reveal parties. But now that the left is coming out, out against 0.99

00:33:13.600 them for being transphobic. Now I feel like as a, as a contrarian, especially where the left is

00:33:21.800 concerned, I have to completely change my opinion. And now, you know what? I'm in favor of gender 0.99

00:33:25.620 reveal parties, have gender reveal parties, throw a, throw a freaking parade through the street 1.00

00:33:30.960 for our next kid. That's what we're going to do now. Even though I hate gender reveal parties, 0.68

00:33:35.980 we're going to have a, we're going to have a gender reveal parade through the street floats

00:33:40.420 and everything, throw in candy to the kids just to spite you. Um, a gender reveal party out of, 0.99

00:33:50.620 I don't like gender reveal parties, but I like gender reveal parties out of spite. 0.99

00:33:53.700 That's how I guess I would, uh, split this, this issue. All right, let's go now to reading

00:34:01.660 the YouTube comments. Um, this is from Jamboree Johnson says, Matt, in September of 2019, I was

00:34:08.940 actually diagnosed with gender dysphoria. This was solved not by getting surgeries, but by going to

00:34:14.720 church and attending specialized therapies. In many States, a diagnosis is not even required to

00:34:19.640 medically transition. What are your thoughts on this? Well, my thoughts are number one, uh, I'm,

00:34:26.080 you know, I'm, I'm grateful that you were able to find the actual help you needed. You were suffering

00:34:32.820 from this rather than people who will, who would contribute to that suffering by making your dysphoria

00:34:40.500 worse. Uh, you found actual help. So I'm grateful for that, but we're getting to a point where this,

00:34:47.660 that's going to be illegal soon. You know, the, the, the therapy that the real therapy that you went

00:34:53.540 out and sought and thankfully received, that's now considered, um, you know, conversion therapy.

00:35:02.100 That's how that's going to be labeled. And pretty soon that's going to be illegal.

00:35:07.220 But thankfully you were able to get that help. Christian says, no one is indoctrinating children.

00:35:11.340 You do realize that more kids are gay now because there is less bigotry. Yes, this,

00:35:17.420 of course, Christian is the argument. I've, I've, I have heard this argument, um, that the reason why 0.97

00:35:23.680 the LGBT numbers are skyrocketing among the younger generations is, uh, is, is simply because we're more

00:35:30.300 accepting. And so that means that, um, that people feel, uh, that they're able to safely come out and

00:35:37.960 express their true identities. Okay. But 11 and a half percent, that was the number, right? If I

00:35:44.980 remember correctly, 11 and a half percent Gen Z identifying as bisexual. Are you really going to

00:35:53.700 tell me, Christian, do you really think that that is reflective of the real numbers in the general

00:35:58.820 population? That do you, do you really think that for the, for the whole globe, all 7 billion plus

00:36:06.720 people, 11% or more are bisexual, but most of them don't feel comfortable to come out and admit

00:36:13.120 it. Does that seem reasonable to you? Of course, you know, the great thing about the claim you're

00:36:23.080 making is that it's, it's impossible to prove and also therefore impossible to refute because you're

00:36:30.500 saying that there are millions and millions of people out there who are really bisexual. They just 1.00

00:36:34.600 won't admit it. Well, it could be the case. Sure. Uh, I don't see any reason to assume that I think

00:36:42.720 that is a wild assumption with no evidence for it. I think there are much more reasonable explanations

00:36:49.660 for why we're seeing this increase in numbers. And I talked about those explanations yesterday

00:36:53.260 and a big, big one is yes, that it is trendy. Now it's not merely accepted and tolerated to be gay

00:37:01.660 or bisexual or to identify somehow, uh, in the LGBT spectrum. It's not just accepted and tolerated.

00:37:08.900 It's, it's celebrated. It's a, it's a trendy thing. It is social capital that you earn in that

00:37:15.160 generation. And so, yes, younger people, kids are encouraged to find a way to sort of wedge

00:37:22.400 themselves into that LGBT, uh, you know, somewhere into those letters somewhere. That's why we keep 1.00

00:37:28.500 adding letters onto it, right? It's LGBTQIA, so on and so forth. Keep adding letters on because

00:37:34.380 people are trying, people are desperate to be in that acronym. John Dixon says, I wouldn't say the

00:37:41.360 left hates all religions except for Islam. It's more accurate to say that the left hates Christianity 0.99

00:37:45.160 and Judaism while loving Islam and being indifferent, um, to all other religions. Well, 0.95

00:37:51.580 you might be the left hates the other, right? The left hates anyone who, um, is different from

00:38:01.840 themselves. The left hates any ideological competition. And that's why I would say they

00:38:07.300 hate all religion except for the religions, except for the religion of leftism, because it is competition.

00:38:13.340 Even Islam, you know, it's not that the left loves Islam. I wouldn't say that's the case at all.

00:38:18.820 Uh, it's simply that they don't feel oftentimes as entitled to criticize it

00:38:25.520 because of all the, you know, all the intersectional identity complications.

00:38:35.180 When you think of, of Muslims, oftentimes these are non-white people from, from oftentimes poor 0.91

00:38:41.280 regions of the world. And so, you know, it's, they don't associate it as much with white people like

00:38:45.500 they do with Christianity, even though the majority of Christians are not white either, but this is

00:38:50.720 how they see it. And so they don't, they don't feel as entitled to criticize Islam, but when it 0.78

00:38:53.900 comes down to it, I think they hate all religions except for their own. Um, and finally, Maximilian 0.99

00:39:01.400 says, is it just me or is Matt's beard turning gray at the bottom left? I have, I have seen a lot

00:39:05.980 of comments about the graying in the beard. I don't know if it comes on, if you can see it in camera

00:39:08.980 right now, but I'm so excited about it. I have to tell you, I've, I have been accused many times

00:39:13.860 by people of dying my beard. And, uh, I, I, of all the false accusations, that is the only one

00:39:20.020 that, that, that, that really, really bothers me because it is so widely accepted. But in reality,

00:39:26.440 I would never dye my beard. I've been excited to go gray. My wife noticed the gray in the beard and

00:39:32.660 she said, Oh, can I pluck that out for you? I said, are you kidding me? I've been waiting for this

00:39:35.840 moment. The dignified graying in the beard. Very excited. Thank you for noticing. Well,

00:39:41.820 we've made it to Friday and that's nearly the end of the month. We're almost there,

00:41:05.120 issues. It's hard to keep track of all the newest controversies the left decides to create hard to

00:41:38.620 get to our daily cancellation. Today for our daily cancellation, we must discuss Mr. Potato Head

00:41:47.240 or rather Potato Head. Um, we must not dead name Potato Head by calling him Mr. Potato Head any longer.

00:41:53.420 According to numerous reports on Thursday, Hasbro was said to be, to be dropping the Mr. in order to

00:42:00.060 make Potato Head gender neutral. Kimberly Boyd, the senior vice president of global brands at Hasbro

00:42:05.720 explained the move saying, culture has evolved. Kids want to be able to represent their own

00:42:11.060 experiences. The way the brand currently exists with the Mr. and Mrs. is limiting when it comes to both

00:42:16.380 gender identity and family structure. The website Fast Company, which interviewed Boyd, went to more

00:42:21.420 details saying this mean the toys. This means the toys don't impose a fixed notion of gender identity

00:42:26.960 or expression, freeing kids to do whatever feels most naturally to them. A girl potato might, um, 0.91

00:42:33.320 might want to wear pants. A boy potato might wear earrings. Hasbro will also sell box sets that don't

00:42:39.040 present a normative family structure. This approach is clever because it allows kids to project their own

00:42:43.680 ideas about gender, sexuality, and family onto the toy without necessarily offending parents that have

00:42:48.280 more conservative notions about family. Well, yes, we cannot force this outmoded idea of mother and

00:42:56.200 father potato heads onto kids, onto society. Some children may want a potato family with two mom 0.87

00:43:01.500 potatoes or two dad potatoes or three mom potatoes, a dad potato, a chicken sandwich in order to have the

00:43:06.840 full value meal. These are the choices that children must be able to make. This is the world that children

00:43:12.420 deserve to live in a world with transgender potatoes, homosexual potatoes, pansexual potatoes, 1.00

00:43:20.140 bisexual potatoes. Why can't the potato be polyamorous, bisexual, trigendered, and sometimes 0.99

00:43:25.180 dabble in a little BDSM? These are all valid expressions, valid identities, and they deserve to be

00:43:32.260 represented. And that's why today I did not originally intend to cancel Hasbro or Potato Head.

00:43:37.500 I was going to cancel all of those, all of you, who are mocking this move, calling it silly, 0.56

00:43:43.180 superficial, ridiculous, woke virtue signaling, and so on. I mean, you are canceled for your lack 0.97

00:43:49.080 of a progressive worldview, for your lack of appreciation and respect for the lived experience

00:43:54.200 of gender-fluid potatoes. Those of us with a more enlightened outlook saw the potato news for the

00:43:59.300 landmark occasion that it was, or we thought that it was. This story has a twisted and tragic ending,

00:44:04.920 but before we get there, I just want you to understand what this meant to me and my family.

00:44:11.900 In fact, I'll never forget this. I told my seven-year-old daughter about the potato head

00:44:16.960 news yesterday. I came into the living room. She was sitting at the table, drawing a picture of

00:44:21.420 Greta Thunberg, and I turned to her and I said, listen, Addison, I need to tell you something.

00:44:27.920 And she looked at me and she was a little concerned, and she said, what is it, Father? And I took a deep

00:44:32.800 breath and I said, it's happened. It's finally happened. Mr. Potato Head has come out as gender 0.90

00:44:40.460 fluid. Now, always remember the look on her face. She was shocked at first, but then a smile spread

00:44:46.860 quietly across her face, and she started to tear up. And she said, finally, I had been waiting for

00:44:53.700 this day my entire life. Now I can be at peace. And we just hugged each other and sobbed. It was

00:44:59.600 beautiful. And there were so many conversations just like this across the country. A great burden

00:45:04.760 had been lifted. Now, admittedly, there was still so much work to do. Mr. Peanut, Mr. Clean,

00:45:10.560 many fictional characters must still be freed from their gender binary prison. Mr. Pibb, most of all. 0.97

00:45:16.000 Pibb is already a fluid, and yet we bottle it, both physically and metaphorically,

00:45:20.780 and force Pibb to live a lie. But progress takes time, and we were taking the first step.

00:45:28.040 At least that's how it seemed. Then later on Thursday, in the midst of the jubilation,

00:45:34.060 came the crushing blow. Hasbro sent out another tweet from their official account saying,

00:45:39.440 quote, hold that tot. Your main spud, Mr. Potato Head, isn't going anywhere. While it was announced

00:45:45.280 today that the Potato Head brand name and logo are dropping the mister, I am proud to confirm

00:45:50.700 that Mr. and Mrs. Potato Head aren't going anywhere and will remain Mr. and Mrs. Potato Head.

00:45:56.660 Devastating. And for Hasbro to be so flippant, making potato puns in the midst of a great national

00:46:03.220 crisis like this, is unconscionable. One minute, I thought that bigotry had been defeated, that the

00:46:09.540 patriarchy dismantled, transphobia annihilated. The next, we're back in our oppressive reality

00:46:13.860 with plastic potatoes that uphold the gender binary. I'll never forget breaking the news to 0.86

00:46:20.000 my daughter. I went back into the living room, found her cradling her Potato Head in her arms, 0.70

00:46:25.200 whispering, you're free, my child. You're free. And I sat her down and I said, Addison,

00:46:30.780 a tragedy has just occurred. The Potato Head is still a man. Hasbro duped you. They duped all of

00:46:41.140 us. And I broke down and I wept. And Addison threw the potato across the room, began to kick me violently 0.98

00:46:47.860 saying, Father, you lied to me. You lied to me. You scum. All I could do was apologize and plead with her.

00:46:53.700 It was no use. I knew her life was ruined and so was mine. So it was a roller coaster day. It ended

00:47:02.280 by careening off the tracks and there were no survivors emotionally. And that's why Hasbro is,

00:47:08.140 in the end, canceled. Mr. Potato Head is canceled. And all of you who would mock our pain or our joy

00:47:16.560 before the pain are also canceled. How dare you? How dare all of you?

00:47:25.320 And that's going to give us a lot to think about over the weekend. Have a great weekend.

00:47:30.240 I'll talk to you on Monday. Godspeed.
