00:00:00.000 Today on The Matt Walsh Show, a father's Twitter thread about his, quote, trans daughter accidentally reveals the awful truth about the trans phenomenon among children.
00:00:08.580 Also, five headlines, including major revelations in the Derek Chauvin trial, has reasonable doubt already been established?
00:00:14.480 And a video that proves that our dystopian future is upon us as we speak.
00:00:19.120 Plus, an Easter-themed cancellation and much more today on The Matt Walsh Show.
00:00:30.000 A few days ago, I hope you celebrated because our country celebrated a Trans Day of Visibility, is what it's called.
00:00:37.280 The Trans Day of Visibility.
00:00:39.000 This was supposed to be a time to focus on trans people, celebrate trans people, talk about the bravery and beauty of trans people.
00:00:44.760 In other words, it was a day just like every other day.
00:00:47.980 Our experience with the Trans Day of Visibility is like Bill Murray's experience with Groundhog's Day.
00:00:53.460 It repeats forever. Nothing changes. It never ends.
00:00:56.140 Indeed, there's never been a group as fractionally tiny as the trans population and yet so visible.
00:01:04.000 There's never been a community so small and yet so accommodated by society.
00:01:09.080 For the sake of trans people, we've changed the English language, thrown out the rules of grammar, passed laws, effectively abolished women's sports, tossed biological science into the wood chipper.
00:01:19.600 However, come to think of it, there has never been a population of any size, majority or minority, that's been given those sorts of consideration.
00:01:27.260 Most of all, we've never seen such a concerted and effective effort to purposefully increase the size of a particular population.
00:01:35.280 There are 10 times as many trans identifying people in Generation Z as there are in older generations, and that figure is no accident.
00:01:43.140 It's also not the organic result of people simply feeling more free to live in their authentic identities, live their truths, now that society is allegedly more open and tolerant than it was in the past.
00:01:54.000 No, this is rather the result of programming.
00:01:57.320 Children are initiated into the left's gender theory religion, and one Twitter thread, meant to commemorate our trans day of visibility, perfectly demonstrates how this works.
00:02:10.280 So it's worth looking at.
00:02:11.400 The thread from a podcaster named Jesse Thorne has been liked and retweeted thousands of times by leftists who insist that it's heartfelt, beautiful, of course, stunning.
00:02:24.220 In it, Jesse explains how he and his wife, who hosts her own podcast, by the way, appropriately titled One Bad Mother.
00:02:32.020 Those are her words.
00:02:32.760 That's her podcast title, not mine.
00:02:35.240 But he explains how they first discovered that their son was a girl.
00:02:39.240 The left tells us that this is a perfect explanation of the trans phenomenon among kids, and I completely agree, actually.
00:02:47.980 So here's the story as he tells it, okay?
00:02:52.000 He says, quote,
00:02:53.060 I'm the parent of a trans kid.
00:02:55.160 I want to clarify what that means as best I can, because a lot of folks don't know or make incorrect presumptions.
00:03:01.260 Happy hashtag trans day of visibility.
00:03:04.320 My daughter is nine.
00:03:05.480 When she was born, we assumed she was a boy, gave her a boy name, called her he.
00:03:10.800 We gave her all kinds of toys.
00:03:12.100 She generally preferred the ones our culture associates with boys, like building toys, trucks, and robots.
00:03:17.040 She hated getting haircuts and always wanted her hair long, like my wife's.
00:03:21.380 But we just figured kids hate haircuts.
00:03:23.760 She loved the jungle book, especially the part where Baloo, the bear, dresses up in a hula skirt.
00:03:28.360 But what kid doesn't love that?
00:03:30.100 When she started kindergarten, my wife was bathing her.
00:03:33.900 Hopefully it's not the first time the child was bathed, but we'll get past that.
00:03:37.880 An adult friend of ours had just come out as trans, and my wife mentioned that not all girls have vaginas and not all boys have penises.
00:03:45.820 Our daughter asked, some girls have penises?
00:03:48.840 My wife said yes.
00:03:50.360 Whether you're a boy or a girl wasn't about your private parts.
00:03:53.620 I'm a girl with a penis, my daughter said.
00:03:55.600 All of a sudden, all these things that had confused us about her when she was younger made sense.
00:04:01.060 We went to learn about gender and kids.
00:04:03.440 I mean, I'm from San Francisco, grew up with a trans neighbor.
00:04:06.480 My wife went to Sarah Lawrence.
00:04:08.240 We were open, but pretty ignorant.
00:04:11.560 Well, on that last point, I must agree.
00:04:14.000 As for the rest, I still am not ready to accept that so many people can read all of that, what I just read to you, and come away thinking, yes, well, clearly that child was really a girl all along.
00:04:26.480 This proves it.
00:04:27.280 It is possible that half of the country has literally gone insane, but I think it's more likely that lots of people pretend, for political and social reasons, to accept and agree with what they know is irrational and indefensible.
00:04:40.420 That's one of the things that makes this subject so frustrating, is that when you're arguing with people, it's a very good chance that the person you're arguing with knows that you're right, but won't admit it.
00:04:57.280 There's a little girl trapped inside him.
00:04:59.620 He said, and this is the story that he tells.
00:05:02.600 It's not me being reductive or anything like that.
00:05:04.620 This is his story.
00:05:06.520 He says that his son enjoyed playing with trucks and robots.
00:05:09.720 So far, so normal.
00:05:11.060 He also hated getting his hair cut.
00:05:13.140 In my experience with my two sons, this is also quite normal.
00:05:17.000 I've never known a young boy who likes getting his hair cut.
00:05:19.800 I didn't like getting a haircut when I was a young boy.
00:05:22.140 I don't think any boys like getting their hair cuts.
00:05:23.920 The boy enjoyed the film The Jungle Book.
00:05:27.460 Again, my own sons can relate.
00:05:29.240 I liked The Jungle Book, too, when I was a kid.
00:05:31.280 But he was especially fascinated with the scene where Baloo, the bear, wears a hula skirt and dances around.
00:05:36.080 Well, what child isn't fascinated with a dancing bear in a hula skirt?
00:05:41.580 Now, even if it were possible for a male child to, in some sense, be a girl, which it's not,
00:05:48.000 how could any of this be sufficient evidence to support that conclusion?
00:05:51.720 This doesn't pass the smell test, even if we accept the fantastically delusional premise
00:05:57.860 that boys can theoretically be girls and vice versa.
00:06:01.100 In no universe, this universe or the fantasy land that the left pretends we inhabit,
00:06:07.240 is this boy's behavior indicative of anything other than a normal boy who has normal boy-like interests.
00:06:13.620 Yes, the boy said that he's a girl with a penis.
00:06:18.140 But he only said that after his mother told him that some girls have penises.
00:06:23.540 If you tell a five-year-old boy that some dragons are three and a half feet tall
00:06:27.360 and look a lot like five-year-old boys,
00:06:29.560 he's almost certain to inform you that he is just such a dragon.
00:06:32.920 What a coincidence.
00:06:35.360 Kids are highly suggestible.
00:06:36.760 They have underdeveloped brains.
00:06:39.800 They have an underdeveloped sense of the world and reality.
00:06:42.740 They can't distinguish between fact and fiction.
00:06:44.760 A child at five can't be meaningfully accused of telling a lie
00:06:48.120 because he doesn't fully understand the difference between a lie and a truth.
00:06:52.300 You know, recently I came into the kitchen and I found a broken glass on the floor.
00:06:57.700 And I asked my four-year-old, who was closest by, if he broke it.
00:07:02.540 And over the course of the brief interrogation, he told me that he did break it,
00:07:07.660 that he didn't break it, that it was already broken,
00:07:10.780 that his brother broke it, and that the dog broke it.
00:07:14.060 We don't have a dog.
00:07:16.200 He doesn't have enough of a grasp on reality to deceive me effectively
00:07:20.280 because he's just a small child.
00:07:21.960 And everything that he says, every claim that he makes,
00:07:25.500 should be understood in that context.
00:07:27.520 Jesse doesn't have a grasp on this basic fact of child psychology
00:07:33.020 or has chosen to ignore it.
00:07:35.460 Now, he goes on through the lengthy thread to describe
00:07:38.180 how his son socially transitioned, quote-unquote, in kindergarten.
00:07:42.660 Now, at the age of nine, Jesse is thinking about what sorts of drugs
00:07:46.360 he wants to put the child on.
00:07:48.340 He also goes into detail about the Herculean efforts needed
00:07:51.320 to protect his boy's parentally imposed delusions.
00:07:55.360 This is what he writes.
00:07:56.320 We still had to, and have to, be on guard at all times.
00:08:01.220 Every new care situation, camp, sports, babysitter, friends, parents,
00:08:06.220 had to get a briefing.
00:08:07.660 We had to check every room for jerks
00:08:09.580 because being misgendered or forced to explain yourself
00:08:12.880 is traumatic for a young child.
00:08:14.740 We basically had to be the professional trainers
00:08:16.880 for every set of grown-ups that entered our kids' lives.
00:08:19.700 It was and remains exhausting.
00:08:21.880 I can only imagine what it's like for adult trans
00:08:23.920 and gender non-conforming people.
00:08:26.320 Now, Jesse doesn't stop to consider
00:08:27.960 why an allegedly authentic identity should require so much work to preserve.
00:08:35.080 If his son is a girl, why does every adult in his vicinity need to be prepped
00:08:39.580 on the proper ways to address him and act around him?
00:08:42.660 My daughter, real daughter, actual girl,
00:08:45.800 doesn't need me to give a speech to every person she comes across.
00:08:48.760 I don't need to explain to anyone that she's a girl.
00:08:52.520 I don't need to make any effort at all to maintain her in her girl identity.
00:08:57.300 That's because there's a difference between my daughter and his.
00:09:02.140 The difference is that my daughter is a daughter.
00:09:05.420 The rest of the thread is as disturbing and diluted as what we've already reviewed.
00:09:10.740 But there was one brief moment of clarity, lucidity.
00:09:16.400 Jesse wrote, quote,
00:09:17.440 Ah, yes.
00:09:30.700 You figured out what, quote, she meant.
00:09:35.060 That is indeed the job of a child, of a parent, I should say.
00:09:38.600 Children say many things and often don't know what the words that they're using actually mean.
00:09:44.400 They make claims that aren't true and that they don't know aren't true.
00:09:47.940 They express desires that are not really their desires.
00:09:51.100 They say things all the time that begin with, I want, and a parent has to say,
00:09:56.980 No, you don't really want that.
00:09:58.340 You think you do, but you don't.
00:10:00.900 It's your job as a parent to use your maturity and wisdom to guide your child, lead them, not be led by them.
00:10:09.740 Jesse heard his, quote, daughter say that, quote, she wanted to be called Grease.
00:10:15.280 Well, Jesse knew that Grease is a ridiculous name.
00:10:17.980 Surely he can't actually want that name.
00:10:21.100 And even if he does, it's for his own good that you guide him to a different name.
00:10:25.660 Because he doesn't understand the significance of a name.
00:10:28.360 He can't look ahead into the future and consider what it would be like to actually live with that name.
00:10:34.460 That's why we give our kids their name.
00:10:37.080 And even parents who let their children choose their names still don't really let them choose them.
00:10:42.260 I mean, you'll notice that you very rarely hear about a trans child who chooses their own name
00:10:50.680 and is now referred to as Dragon Ninja or Giant Pirate or something like that.
00:10:58.740 I think it's odd, isn't it?
00:11:00.300 All these young kids who choose their own names, quote, unquote,
00:11:05.420 they always end up with trendy sounding names.
00:11:08.480 They never end up with the kind of name that you would expect a five-year-old to choose.
00:11:14.540 Well, that's because even the parents who let kids choose their own name won't really let their children choose any name they want
00:11:22.120 because we can't let them do that because they don't understand what it means to have a name.
00:11:30.940 But if you won't let the child choose any name they want,
00:11:35.460 why would you let your children choose whatever gender they want?
00:11:41.320 Why don't they, as Jesse said, try to figure out what a boy really means when he says he's a girl with a penis?
00:11:48.620 Why don't these parents apply their superior wisdom and maturity to that situation
00:11:55.440 and offer their children some much-needed guidance?
00:11:59.360 Well, because they see their children as political statements and fashion accessories.
00:12:04.020 That's the truth.
00:12:05.720 They don't see their kids as kids.
00:12:07.300 They don't see their kids as human beings.
00:12:10.120 Jesse was quite excited to talk about his trans daughter on his podcast,
00:12:14.100 but he can't very well brag about a kid named Grease.
00:12:17.060 No, he needs his son to be a girl named Grease.
00:12:21.660 That's much more palatable to him.
00:12:25.060 Jesse, that is.
00:12:26.220 More useful to him.
00:12:28.820 And this is all really about him, isn't it?
00:12:33.300 Now let's get to our five headlines.
00:12:34.680 Speaking of Twitter threads, I was just reading this other thread that people were talking about
00:12:44.940 all the, you know, the changes they have made during the pandemic over the past year,
00:12:51.340 all the things that they've done to try to get through it and everything.
00:12:55.540 And I always read things like this, people talking about how different life has been.
00:12:59.740 And, you know, for me, I say, well, I really haven't changed anything at all.
00:13:06.660 I have gone about my normal life pretty much from day one.
00:13:11.300 I mean, I've made only the changes that I've absolutely been forced to make.
00:13:16.120 But other than that, I've lived my normal life this entire time.
00:13:20.120 I've done almost all the same stuff during the pandemic that I did before it.
00:13:26.860 So this is an experience that I just can't quite relate to.
00:13:32.720 You know, and this was, it was, if you changed everything about your life for the past year,
00:13:38.380 some of that, some of it out of your control, it also depends on where you live.
00:13:41.320 But a lot of it was, was probably voluntary and unnecessary.
00:13:47.240 That's the reality.
00:13:48.440 Okay, number one, Derek Chauvin, Derek Chauvin trial.
00:13:52.540 George Floyd's girlfriend took the stand yesterday and testified,
00:13:57.380 had some interesting things to reveal.
00:13:59.980 Among them, she testified that Floyd had been rushed to the hospital for an overdose,
00:14:04.800 not long before his death, a couple months before.
00:14:07.780 Here she is talking about that.
00:14:09.220 We went to the hospital a couple times in March.
00:14:12.340 Okay.
00:14:13.160 He was hospitalized for a more extended period of time in March, right?
00:14:18.360 Yes.
00:14:19.140 That's the incident I'm talking about.
00:14:21.200 Okay.
00:14:21.740 I went to go pick Floyd up from his house that night.
00:14:26.900 I thought I was taking him to work.
00:14:29.320 He wasn't feeling good.
00:14:30.700 His stomach really hurt.
00:14:33.500 He was doubled over in pain.
00:14:37.520 Just wasn't feeling well.
00:14:38.940 And he said he had to go to the hospital.
00:14:40.240 So I took him straight to the hospital.
00:14:45.440 We went to the ER.
00:14:48.240 And they were checking him out in the ER.
00:14:53.620 And it was getting late.
00:14:57.100 And I had to get home to my son.
00:14:58.980 So I left that Friday night.
00:15:00.700 Did you later learn that that was due to an overdose?
00:15:06.340 Yes.
00:15:06.880 I object, your honor.
00:15:08.540 Okay.
00:15:09.000 So he had an overdose a couple months before.
00:15:11.220 And we know that he died with fatal levels of fentanyl in his system.
00:15:15.000 So, you know, I'm no lawyer, admittedly.
00:15:18.800 But I am familiar with the phrase reasonable doubt.
00:15:22.680 And I do know that a guilt has to be established beyond reasonable doubt.
00:15:29.600 One of the basic facts of our legal system.
00:15:31.800 It really depends on that.
00:15:35.460 You know, that has to be the standard.
00:15:37.460 Everything falls apart.
00:15:38.260 Everything collapses.
00:15:39.240 If that's not the standard.
00:15:42.260 So we have to ask ourselves, based on that, but on the facts that we already knew even before that.
00:15:49.880 Like the fact that George Floyd died with fatal levels of fentanyl in his system.
00:15:54.540 And we know that from the medical examiner.
00:15:56.860 We've known that for some time.
00:15:57.760 So is there a reasonable doubt?
00:16:01.080 Do we know?
00:16:03.120 This is the only question we should really have to ask.
00:16:06.160 Do we know beyond any reasonable doubt that George Floyd died because he was choked to death by the officer and not because he overdosed?
00:16:16.080 Do we know that beyond a reasonable doubt?
00:16:19.880 I honestly, I don't see how anyone could say that we do.
00:16:24.420 I don't see how anyone, whether in that courtroom or out in the peanut gallery, could sit there and say, oh, yeah, we know for sure, without any doubt, that although he died with fatal levels of fentanyl in his system, and although he had a history of overdosing, this was not an overdose death.
00:16:40.780 We know that for sure, without any doubt.
00:16:44.160 Really?
00:16:44.660 How do you know that?
00:16:46.280 See, the only thing you ever hear is, well, we saw the video.
00:16:48.380 Yeah, yes, we saw the video.
00:16:49.700 What we didn't see was what was going on inside his body.
00:16:54.540 He went into cardiac arrest.
00:16:55.860 We didn't see what caused that.
00:16:58.260 That's where you have to turn to the medical examiner, autopsy.
00:17:00.820 You got to look at what substances were in his system.
00:17:03.240 No matter how you feel, you could think that Derek Chauvin is a scumbag, is the worst guy in the world, but you could think any of that.
00:17:13.340 But the justice system, our court system, it's supposed to come down to however you feel about the accused.
00:17:19.440 Has his guilt been established beyond any reasonable doubt whatsoever?
00:17:24.380 And here I would say no.
00:17:27.540 No.
00:17:27.940 All right, number two from the Daily Wire.
00:17:31.820 On Tuesday night, two young toddlers were dropped over a 14-foot-tall barrier into the United States at the New Mexico border before being rescued, according to the officials.
00:17:41.740 On Wednesday, U.S. Customs and Border Protection released a statement regarding the incident, stating that it was a life-threatening situation involving two female tender-aged toddlers mistreated and abandoned by human smugglers just west of Mount Cristo Rey.
00:17:55.760 Using filming technology, a Santa Teresa agent reportedly saw a smuggler dropping two young children from the top of the approximately 14-foot-high border barrier on Tuesday night.
00:18:09.320 The two smugglers quickly left the region after discarding the girls on the northern side of the border.
00:18:13.160 And there's video of this.
00:18:14.380 It's horrible video, but you can see them dragging these two little girls up the fence and dropping them, lowering them down.
00:18:24.500 They probably fell, I don't know, it wasn't 14 feet, they probably fell 10 feet or something.
00:18:28.320 Still could have killed them.
00:18:31.180 And then they're just left on the other side of the fence in the desert while the smugglers run away.
00:18:37.700 So if you're very compassionate about illegal immigration and you want to invite anyone to come, you don't want to protect our border, you don't want to discourage illegal immigration by deporting people with your great compassion.
00:18:54.500 This is what your compassion gets.
00:18:56.440 It gets this.
00:18:58.140 It gets little girls thrown over 14 high fences.
00:19:06.060 You know, if they're not sexually abused on the way by these human smugglers, which happens all the time.
00:19:11.020 Extremely common.
00:19:11.840 That's what our that's where your compassion gets us.
00:19:17.000 Now, Jen Psaki was pressed on this particular issue, this incident, and she kind of tried to dodge around it, get around it.
00:19:24.280 Here's how that went.
00:19:24.900 On immigration, has the White House considered beefing up border security now that there is video of a three-year-old and a five-year-old being thrown over the wall in New Mexico?
00:19:37.280 Beefing up border security?
00:19:38.840 Well, there's video now of a three-year-old and a five-year-old.
00:19:42.540 I've seen the video, and I think any of us who saw the video were incredibly alarmed by the steps of smugglers, ones that we have been quite familiar with, that we've spoken out about, our concerns about.
00:19:55.060 As Secretary Mayorkas said, the inhumane way smugglers abuse children while profiting off parents' desperation is criminal and morally reprehensible.
00:20:02.980 The President certainly agrees with that.
00:20:05.340 And these kids, I believe, were rescued by individuals who are working at the border.
00:20:12.420 Yes, but they still got close enough, as you guys are talking about addressing root causes in the region, for a smuggler to throw them over a wall into the desert.
00:20:22.520 And I'm just curious what the White House is doing to stop that from happening.
00:20:26.920 And are you concerned more about the kids' safety, or are you concerned about kids getting in?
00:20:31.280 Or tell me more about your concern here.
00:20:32.980 Kids' safety is, as you just mentioned, the main concern.
00:20:36.980 Well, of course it is, which is why I'm often surprised by some of the line of questioning in here.
00:20:41.380 But I will say that our concern and our focus is on sending a clear message to smuggler, to the region, that this is not the time to come.
00:20:52.880 Oh, the message is it's not, well, yeah, you got a funny way of sending that message.
00:20:56.200 The only way to send that message is to enforce the border, force our laws, deport people when they come here.
00:21:06.360 That's the only way to send them. There's no other way to do it.
00:21:09.540 You make it clear that trying to sneak across the border is not going to work out well for you.
00:21:13.440 It's not going to work out well for your kids.
00:21:14.500 It's a wasted effort.
00:21:16.240 You might die along the way or get injured or raped along the way and all for nothing.
00:21:25.540 Like, that has to be the message for the good of the people who are making this attempt.
00:21:29.220 I mean, I've always said when it comes to illegal immigration, you know, I don't have anything personally against people to try to sneak across the border.
00:21:38.500 I get it.
00:21:39.460 If I lived in Mexico, I would try to come here, too.
00:21:44.500 And if it seemed like the easiest and quickest way was to just, if I thought that I could sneak across and I could sneak across with my kids and find a better life out of Mexico,
00:21:54.580 and if I thought I could do it, especially because there's a Democrat in office, then, yeah, I'd do it.
00:22:01.040 I mean, what do I care?
00:22:02.720 I'm not going to, I'm not going to, unless you force me to, I'm not going to respect the laws of this country that I'm not even a part of yet.
00:22:10.980 And even if I do respect those laws, I'm probably going to put my kids' and my family's well-being above the law.
00:22:17.640 So I understand why people do it.
00:22:20.520 For me, it's nothing personal.
00:22:21.700 You still have to enforce the border, enforce the law, and deport people when they come here.
00:22:26.740 Nothing personal.
00:22:29.200 But we need to have a border to have a country.
00:22:31.720 We need to have laws to have a country.
00:22:34.580 And also, for the sake of the people themselves.
00:22:38.740 Who get themselves killed, injured, trying to sneak over here.
00:22:44.520 That is the most compassionate, most humane, I like that word better for this.
00:22:52.860 That's the most humane way to handle that, is to enforce a law.
00:22:57.260 Number three, Representative Park Cannon in Georgia was arrested during the signing of the voter ID law down in Georgia
00:23:03.980 because she was banging on the governor's door trying to interfere with the signing of the bill.
00:23:11.340 And even if you're a lawmaker, you still can't do that.
00:23:14.480 In fact, she really, she was committing an insurrection.
00:23:17.240 According to the new rules, this is a dangerous insurrectionist trying to interfere with the democratic process,
00:23:22.020 trying to stop a law from being passed, trying to stop the democratic process from happening.
00:23:26.480 She was warned that she had to stop and go away, and she didn't.
00:23:30.600 She was told, if you don't stop, you're going to be arrested.
00:23:32.740 She kept going, so they arrested her.
00:23:35.480 And of course, this now makes her a martyr for the cause of racial justice.
00:23:39.000 And here she is on MSNBC with Joy Reid, talking about her newfound martyrdom.
00:23:43.780 Are you surprised, I guess is my question,
00:23:47.660 that the state would pursue a prosecution of a black woman,
00:23:52.340 that police would arrest and detain a black woman,
00:23:57.380 given that that's the optic now,
00:23:59.300 that a black woman is being punished for trying to witness the signing of a law that restricts black voters?
00:24:06.100 I am not at all surprised that this is what is happening in 2021 in America.
00:24:13.400 This is America.
00:24:15.440 And we have to remain steadfast in protecting the right to vote.
00:24:20.240 That's why when the late Congressman John Lewis took my hand,
00:24:26.300 marched with me to the Fulton County Government Center and voted with me in 2016
00:24:32.840 and helped me understand why that was so important, I'll never forget it.
00:24:38.440 But unfortunately today, the only thing etched in my mind are two things.
00:24:44.400 Why were they arresting me?
00:24:47.060 Why were they doing that?
00:24:49.280 And the photo of six all-white men under a photo of a plantation
00:24:59.260 taking away black and brown voters' rights, as well as all voters' rights.
00:25:07.980 This is America, and we have to keep on knocking.
00:25:11.560 This is such nonsense.
00:25:13.440 This is such a blatant fraud.
00:25:17.340 She's not even trying.
00:25:19.100 Not even trying to come across as remotely authentic.
00:25:23.820 First of all, you could tell she rehearsed everything she just said.
00:25:26.000 It was like she sounded like she was giving a speech, like she was reading off of cue cards,
00:25:28.560 which maybe she was.
00:25:29.420 They signed a law taking away the rights of black and brown Americans to vote.
00:25:36.060 What?
00:25:38.200 No, they didn't.
00:25:39.280 That's not what happened.
00:25:41.520 Nothing you just heard there is at all true.
00:25:45.200 There was not one moment, not one glimmer of truth in what you just heard there.
00:25:50.020 Totally false.
00:25:52.740 And that's not going to be fair.
00:25:54.040 MSNBC airs it, of course.
00:25:56.780 You think Facebook or Twitter is going to take down that video for misinformation about voting?
00:26:04.320 What you heard there is a conspiracy theory far more delusional and on its face dishonest than anything you heard from even, you know, this is like Sidney Powell level, but worse, really.
00:26:22.420 A law taking away the rights of black.
00:26:25.100 So that's what they did.
00:26:25.880 They passed a law saying black people can't vote.
00:26:28.520 Well, OK, show me the language.
00:26:29.840 If you can show me that language in that bill, I will be right along with you.
00:26:35.220 In protesting it.
00:26:38.000 But it's not in there.
00:26:40.060 There is nothing in there that says black people can't vote.
00:26:42.720 There is nothing in there that would stop black people from voting.
00:26:46.400 Nothing at all.
00:26:49.620 There's nothing in there that would affect black people more than it would affect white people.
00:26:54.380 You could still vote in Georgia.
00:26:56.940 If you're legally eligible.
00:26:59.700 Which all that means is you're the right age.
00:27:04.320 So if you're the right age or over, you can vote in Georgia and it's not you're not going to have any trouble doing it.
00:27:09.960 It's going to be perfectly fine.
00:27:11.960 If you really want to do it, it'll be no problem at all.
00:27:15.840 If you need to make any preparations to vote.
00:27:18.660 Well, you got two years until the midterms.
00:27:20.600 You got you got three, four years until the presidential.
00:27:23.360 You got a lot of time.
00:27:24.180 You need to hire some babysitters or whatever.
00:27:25.500 Take it.
00:27:26.040 You got a lot of time to plan for it.
00:27:27.600 You'll be perfectly fine.
00:27:28.640 But I love the question from Joy Reid.
00:27:32.960 She says, are you surprised that they would arrest a black woman?
00:27:39.160 That they would arrest a black woman in this environment?
00:27:42.000 I thought black women were above the law.
00:27:43.900 She really thinks that.
00:27:44.780 She's shocked.
00:27:46.580 You mean to tell me they're still arresting black women?
00:27:49.720 Well, yeah.
00:27:50.120 If you're breaking the law, yes.
00:27:53.240 Trying to interfere with the signing of the bill.
00:27:55.200 You were told to leave.
00:27:56.340 You're trespassing.
00:27:57.520 You're breaking the law.
00:27:59.920 I can't believe that they would arrest me.
00:28:02.040 Why did they arrest me?
00:28:03.940 Why?
00:28:05.200 Well, because you're breaking the law.
00:28:06.380 You're trespassing and they told you to stop and you didn't.
00:28:08.280 So that's why they arrested you.
00:28:10.100 You entitled, spoiled, ridiculous, lying brat.
00:28:16.340 My God.
00:28:18.620 Not even trying.
00:28:19.820 Not even trying to be credible or to seem credible.
00:28:24.520 All right.
00:28:28.800 Number four.
00:28:29.600 I don't know if you're ready to see this.
00:28:30.760 This is straight out of your dystopian nightmares, but I got to play it for you.
00:28:35.260 Pretty terrifying.
00:28:36.220 It really is creepy.
00:28:38.060 But no more intro needed.
00:28:40.080 Here it is.
00:28:40.480 If you want to get back to your favorite places and feel confident they have put your health
00:28:45.120 and safety first, look for the Well Health Safety Seal.
00:28:48.240 Look for the Well Health Safety Seal.
00:28:50.200 Look for the Well Health Safety Seal.
00:28:52.460 I'm Dr. Richard Carmona, the 17th Surgeon General of the United States of America.
00:28:58.280 This is the Well Health Safety Seal from the International Well Building Institute, the
00:29:02.980 global authority on healthy buildings.
00:29:05.260 The Well Health Safety Rating was informed by years of research and input from hundreds
00:29:09.760 of leading virologists, public health experts, epidemiologists, and building professionals
00:29:14.940 around the world.
00:29:16.180 You'll see it at schools, offices, banks, child care centers, all the places we go.
00:29:21.680 The Well Health Safety Seal means that we'll feel better going into restaurants, theaters,
00:29:27.840 stores, hotels, stadiums, and all the places that we love.
00:29:32.340 Everything may look the same, but the Well Health Safety Seal means that your health and
00:29:37.360 safety are top of mind when it comes to cleaning and sanitizing procedures, air and water quality
00:29:44.340 management, emergency preparedness programs, and health services.
00:29:48.520 So look for the Well Health Safety Seal outside and feel more confident going inside.
00:29:54.180 Learn more about the Well Health Safety Rating at wellhealthsafety.com.
00:29:59.580 Yeah, I said that that's something out of, it's like a dystopian, something out of a dystopian
00:30:05.540 film.
00:30:05.740 It's also, actually it reminds me more of something out of a Martin Scorsese movie.
00:30:10.120 It's, it's, this is like mob.
00:30:11.940 This is something that the mafia would do.
00:30:15.640 You know, because this is all a racket now, right?
00:30:19.640 Obviously, the, the, the, the potential for extortion here of, of, of companies, uh, is
00:30:25.780 very clear.
00:30:27.780 It's, we don't know based on that, like what does a company or business have to do to get
00:30:32.520 the Well Health Safety Seal?
00:30:34.600 But we can, we can bet one thing is going to cost them money.
00:30:37.680 There's going to be fees.
00:30:38.880 There's going to be all kinds of red tape, all kinds.
00:30:41.800 There's going to be a whole bureaucracy in place to make sure that you can get that well
00:30:47.020 health safety seal.
00:30:49.240 Now we sure, we, we sure hate it if, uh, if people stop coming to your business because
00:30:54.860 it doesn't have the safety seal.
00:30:56.740 We sure would hate, we sure would hate it if you're, if your business, if you, if it isn't
00:31:00.880 safe because you don't have that safety seal.
00:31:04.700 We, we, we want to protect you and make sure that your business has the safety seal.
00:31:08.560 All you got to do is pay, you know, $10,000 in fees and do this and that.
00:31:13.600 And, uh, and, and, and, and we'll make sure that you have it.
00:31:18.740 I mean, we, we know, obviously that's where this goes, especially because when they explain
00:31:24.040 what the safety seal actually means, it's okay.
00:31:26.940 So it means that they, that they, that they clean the place.
00:31:31.240 Okay.
00:31:33.200 We already have the health department.
00:31:35.720 We already, we already, we already have laws and policies for that.
00:31:39.060 And by the way, if you walk into a place and it's not very clean, it's pretty obvious
00:31:45.040 as soon as you walk in, you can, you can tell.
00:31:49.440 We've all been in restaurants and buildings, you know, that are not particularly clean.
00:31:54.400 We've all been in, in, you know, highway rest stops and so on.
00:31:57.040 But that's, that's what this is, of course, about.
00:32:01.460 It's about, it's about creating a whole new bureaucracy, uh, to extort businesses so that
00:32:07.020 they can get the well-health safety seal, which isn't going to mean that there are any
00:32:11.760 safer than any other building.
00:32:12.880 It's just going to mean that they've jumped through the hoops and paid the fees and everything
00:32:15.460 else.
00:32:15.680 All right.
00:32:16.860 Um, okay.
00:32:17.860 I wanted to play this representative Marjorie Taylor green posted her workout routine on
00:32:24.000 Twitter.
00:32:24.220 Now, um, a couple of things I'll, I'll say here.
00:32:26.540 First of all, uh, I don't have any issue with, with MTG personally.
00:32:30.900 And also I think there's no doubt that she is in better shape than probably almost everyone
00:32:37.580 else in Congress, the men included.
00:32:40.400 However, you know, let's play the video here.
00:32:43.780 I just had this to me.
00:32:46.580 Now I know this is a CrossFit thing, what she's doing right here, really bad for the knees.
00:32:52.540 I mean, you're asking to, to blow your knees out and your back, but here, watch this.
00:32:56.720 What kind of pull-ups are those?
00:32:59.240 It's like a fish flopping around, like a fish that falls off the hook, flopping around
00:33:05.940 on the, on the, the deck of the boat.
00:33:09.020 That is not how you do a pull-up.
00:33:10.300 Now this became a conversation yesterday on social media and all the CrossFit people were
00:33:15.540 coming out and saying, no, that's, that's, that's, those are real pull-ups.
00:33:18.660 That's how we do.
00:33:19.360 That's called kipping.
00:33:21.700 That's a real, no, that's not a real pull-up.
00:33:24.640 A real pull-up, correct form on a pull-up is you're the only thing that should really be
00:33:29.100 moving on you are your arms.
00:33:30.740 You're going up and down.
00:33:32.320 You bring the chin above the bar.
00:33:34.340 You come back down.
00:33:35.360 You want your rest of the rest of your body to be as still as possible because it's all
00:33:39.300 supposed to be in your upper body.
00:33:41.400 That's what you're working out.
00:33:42.880 When you're flopping around like that, you're not, there's, there's not as much resistance
00:33:46.620 because you're, it's all based on momentum now and you're not getting the upper arm workout
00:33:50.380 that you're supposed to be getting.
00:33:53.420 That offends me.
00:33:56.080 Few things offend me more than, than poor form at the gym.
00:34:00.280 If you're almost with any workout, with any, with any, um, resistance-based workout, if
00:34:06.340 you're, if you're swinging your whole body around and doing all that, uh, then you're
00:34:10.080 not getting the workout.
00:34:10.740 I see guys like this doing dumbbell curls, you know, over by the dumbbell station and they're
00:34:15.360 just swinging their whole, they're like back and forth, bringing the thing up.
00:34:18.120 Um, no, keep the body still.
00:34:21.740 So, as I said, I, there may be like two or three people in Congress, men and women who
00:34:28.860 can do even one pull-up.
00:34:31.420 So it's, she's better off than them, but that's not, that's not correct for her.
00:34:35.500 All right.
00:34:35.760 We're going to move on to reading the YouTube comments.
00:34:38.620 Uh, this is from Toby says, Hey Matt, it was funny watching you talk about white boy summer
00:34:42.780 asking, what is it?
00:34:44.160 It's actually a reference derived from the term hot girl summer.
00:34:47.140 Where, where women hype themselves up to have a wild slash fun summer.
00:34:51.700 Also hot dad summer is a great idea.
00:34:54.000 However, any dad caught wearing skinny jeans should be canceled on the spot.
00:34:56.700 No, it's not hot dad summer.
00:34:58.480 Um, it's white dad summer.
00:34:59.840 It's, this is not about there's, we're not, we're not putting pressure.
00:35:03.160 Okay.
00:35:03.540 It's, that's, it's, it's like the opposite of that really.
00:35:07.180 Cause you're, you're a dad.
00:35:08.440 That's the point.
00:35:08.940 You don't have to worry about what you look like.
00:35:12.040 You've given up on that.
00:35:13.060 That's why you're in the cargo shorts, cargo shorts.
00:35:16.340 It's not, it's not for, it's, it's not about style.
00:35:18.620 It's not about what you look like.
00:35:19.820 It's all about utility.
00:35:23.820 Um, DJ says, Walsh, you finally got a Wikipedia page.
00:35:28.760 I just checked.
00:35:31.060 April fools.
00:35:32.040 He, he, he.
00:35:32.660 But you know, you're getting banned from the show for that one because I, I really did fall for that.
00:35:37.660 And I was actually excited that I finally got the Wikipedia page that I am entitled to and deserve.
00:35:45.120 You bastard.
00:35:46.740 Um, April says being a massage therapist myself, I would find that very, I would find that very suspicious.
00:35:52.500 Also that speaking of Deshaun Watson, um, it's been accused by like 20 massage therapists of committing sexual assault.
00:35:59.320 Um, just being a massage therapist myself, I would find that very suspicious.
00:36:01.920 Also that he needed 40 massage therapists.
00:36:04.060 I would understand a handful, but any more than that.
00:36:06.200 And he's not seeing them because of the massage.
00:36:09.560 It's something else.
00:36:11.760 Yeah.
00:36:12.220 You know, it's, it's also a little bit hard for me to judge because I have to, and I, and I say, this is no offense to you whatsoever.
00:36:16.740 But, um, the whole going to someone to get a massage to me seems weird already.
00:36:24.640 Like I don't want, there is no circumstance where I would ever want to lay down and have some stranger come and massage me.
00:36:35.260 That sounds like a nightmare.
00:36:36.940 As someone who values my personal space, that is a nightmare.
00:36:40.080 I do not understand how people do this as a leisurely activity.
00:36:43.720 I'm excited.
00:36:45.920 I get to go have a massage day.
00:36:47.060 That is, that's my hell to have my personal space invaded that way by a stranger.
00:36:54.120 So to me, even having one massage therapist is a little weird.
00:36:58.620 That's where I'm coming from.
00:37:00.640 Um, but yes, to have 40 different ones as Deshaun Watson apparently did.
00:37:04.880 Yeah.
00:37:05.360 That tells you something's off.
00:37:06.960 Uh, Carlos says, I have an all access membership, but still watch the show on YouTube, comment and like it to feed the algorithm.
00:37:13.720 Well, thank you again for your service.
00:37:15.620 You are performing a great service, not just for the show, but for all mankind.
00:37:18.640 I would say device says, I love how Matt is not a batologist.
00:37:24.180 That moment of silence after he makes a point just drives the truth even further.
00:37:28.060 His deadpan stare and tone is infinitely hilarious and effective.
00:37:30.720 You can't come here dropping words like a batologist, B-A-T-T-O-L-O-G-I-S-T.
00:37:37.540 You can't drop a word like that in conversation without explaining what it means.
00:37:41.940 What is that?
00:37:42.560 Someone who studies bats?
00:37:44.380 I looked it up and apparently a batologist is someone who speaks idly.
00:37:47.740 One who needlessly repeats the same thing in speaking or writing.
00:37:52.060 So I'm not that you're saying.
00:37:53.880 Well, thank you.
00:37:54.440 But you're banned from the show for using the word batologist rather than just saying what you meant to begin with.
00:37:59.600 Finally, I remember when my, uh, the different comment.
00:38:02.560 I remember when my oldest son was starting to catch on to the tooth fairy lie.
00:38:05.540 I dressed up as the tooth fairy, wings and tiara.
00:38:09.340 It took me quite a while to get all dolled up.
00:38:11.760 I squeezed into my, to one of my old prom dresses and went all out.
00:38:15.360 The next day, my son told me that he did indeed see the tooth fairy and quote, she's really pretty.
00:38:20.440 Made me feel awesome.
00:38:22.540 And the person who left this comment is named Bill.
00:38:25.300 Uh, it's a little weird.
00:38:26.660 Actually, that was Tricia.
00:38:28.100 Well, Tricia, you, you, you, you went to greater lengths to deceive your child than even my wife did on this point.
00:38:34.460 And I guess, well done.
00:38:37.300 I don't know.
00:38:38.360 You know, as conservatives, I think one thing we all pretend to agree, agree on anyway, is that we all love the constitution.
00:38:44.140 But, but have we actually taken the time to study it and do we stand ready to defend it?
00:38:48.440 That's the question we have to ask ourselves.
00:38:49.760 Well, my friends over at constitutioncoach.com, they have many great programs for equipping citizens to defend liberty by studying and living out the constitution.
00:38:58.180 Uh, I have, as I've been telling you about for the last couple of weeks, I've experienced the constitutional defense course myself.
00:39:03.520 Uh, I'm very glad that I did so that I can, so that I can really mean it.
00:39:08.000 And when I tell you that you should do this yourself, I don't regret doing it one bit.
00:39:12.000 Couldn't be happier that I went through the experience.
00:39:13.760 You will also feel the same way.
00:39:15.280 You can get an amazing combination of intellectual ammunition and live classes with Rick Green, America's constitution coach.
00:39:20.340 You also get the physical training at the premier firearms training facility in the nation.
00:39:24.360 And you got to see this place, by the way, very impressive.
00:39:26.560 You get it all in the same course.
00:39:27.660 You get to join hundreds of other patriots from across the nation for a time of learning, training, and fellowship with like-minded people.
00:39:33.520 Whether you've shotguns your whole life or if you're just a beginner, you're somewhere in between.
00:39:37.560 Whatever it is, I'm telling you, these people took me to a new level, a new skill level that I didn't think was possible in such a short amount of time.
00:39:43.740 They can do the same for you.
00:39:45.000 Don't just get a gun.
00:39:45.760 Learn how to carry with confidence and get the training you need to defend your family.
00:39:48.640 Go to constitutioncoach.com.
00:39:50.560 Rick and the Constitution Coach team have another class on April 25th, but it's going to fill up fast.

00:40:56.840 Now let's get to our daily cancellation.
00:41:00.940 We talked a little this week about, and we just talked again in the comments, about the various mythical creatures who visit our homes, or so we claim.
00:41:07.940 And I've told you about my daughter's attempts to disprove the tooth fairy, attempts that, while quite brilliant, have been subverted by the increasingly desperate efforts to keep the deception going.
00:41:18.520 Why must we keep the deception going?
00:41:20.260 I don't know.
00:41:21.120 Ask my wife.
00:41:22.140 But I thought, since we're on the subject, and Easter is nearly upon us, now's a good time, as good a time as any, to talk about the Easter Bunny.
00:41:30.240 And, of course, to cancel him.
00:41:32.780 As far as I can tell, the Easter Bunny serves only one real function.
00:41:37.940 He is a sort of early IQ test for your child.
00:41:41.100 If your child, by first grade, is not asking skeptical questions about this giant mutant bunny that allegedly sneaks into his home and hides candy, then he's probably on the slower side.
00:41:51.060 No offense.
00:41:52.260 Now, the same doesn't really apply to Santa.
00:41:54.100 From a child's perspective, Santa is plausible.
00:41:57.000 He has a backstory.
00:41:58.140 We know his origin.
00:41:59.080 We know where he lives.
00:42:00.080 We know how he gets around.
00:42:02.200 His method of transportation is a bit unorthodox, admittedly, but at least we know what it is.
00:42:06.480 Also, you see Santa out in public all the time, at the mall, on TV.
00:42:11.000 Maybe you see a fat, bearded guy on a park bench in the summer and assume that Santa is on vacation.
00:42:15.580 There are songs about Santa.
00:42:17.000 He's ubiquitous.
00:42:18.520 And a child looks at all that and thinks to himself, well, surely this can't all be one big lie.
00:42:24.360 Well, that's a conversation for another time.
00:42:27.760 The Easter Bunny is a different deal.
00:42:30.260 He is rather, shall we say, half-assed.
00:42:32.440 He is a half-assed fable.
00:42:35.180 We've never come to any agreement as a society about what he is exactly, where he comes from, what he's doing, how he gets around.
00:42:43.360 Every kid is told a different thing.
00:42:45.280 I had a friend when I was little who thought and was told that the Easter Bunny was a magical man in a bunny suit who came in through the window at night to hide toys.
00:42:55.180 That is the stuff of nightmares, though the idea of an actual six-foot-tall rabbit isn't much more comforting.
00:43:01.900 My four-year-old was recently interrogating me on this very subject.
00:43:06.800 Now, the kid thinks that, you know, when he sees me on TV, I am literally inside the physical TV.
00:43:12.320 And yet, even he, at his age, is already raising his eyebrows a little bit over this Easter Bunny thing.
00:43:18.880 So he came to me and he said, Daddy, can the Easter Bunny talk?
00:43:25.420 Yes.
00:43:26.900 Where does he live?
00:43:30.080 I guess underground?
00:43:33.600 So he lives in a cave?
00:43:34.920 Yes, the Easter Bunny is a giant, hairy, buck-toothed mammalian monster who crawls out of a cave and breaks into our house.
00:43:43.380 Okay, now go to sleep, night-night.
00:43:45.900 Sleep well.
00:43:48.120 Now, there are some real stalker vibes to Santa also.
00:43:50.920 We can't deny that.
00:43:51.900 But the Easter Bunny is terrifying on an entirely different level.
00:43:56.280 The mystery and ambiguity surrounding him and the way that adults are so reluctant to discuss him,
00:44:01.660 the fact that we don't sing songs about him,
00:44:03.200 all of this seems to lead to the conclusion either that the Easter Bunny is an evil spirit
00:44:07.480 that rose from the shadow land because somebody, like,
00:44:10.800 built a parking lot over top of an Indian burial ground or something,
00:44:13.900 or that the Easter Bunny isn't real.
00:44:16.680 And that was my own thought process when I was young.
00:44:20.560 Which is why, even as a slow child, myself, who grew into a slow adult,
00:44:25.000 I still had the bunny figured out before my parents broke the news officially.
00:44:28.780 And this made it easier for my dad when the time came for the talk.
00:44:31.580 It also gave him the chance to easily kill two holiday birds with one stone.
00:44:36.020 And the conversation went like this.
00:44:37.300 I remember it vividly, verbatim, it went like this.
00:44:40.120 My dad said,
00:44:41.580 Matt, I have to talk to you, tell you something about the Easter Bunny.
00:44:45.560 I said, he isn't real, right?
00:44:49.260 Yes, that's what I was going to tell you.
00:44:51.640 So, Santa?
00:44:54.440 Yeah, same.
00:44:55.340 Not real.
00:44:56.700 Okay.
00:44:58.180 That's verbatim how it went.
00:45:00.180 That's how I learned the whole truth of everything.
00:45:02.700 Now, as you can tell, I have been an emotionalist psychopath from a young age.
00:45:05.500 But in any case, the point is, the Easter Bunny is a bridge too far.
00:45:09.000 And to top it all off, along with being creepy and bizarre, the dude is a cheapskate.
00:45:14.280 Santa comes with bags of presents.
00:45:16.320 The Easter Bunny gives you, like, a marshmallow and a matchbox car.
00:45:20.040 Granted, Santa has the benefit of slave labor to make all of his toys, but that's no excuse for the Easter Bunny.
00:45:25.400 I mean, you're telling me he can't enslave a bunch of, like, magical chipmunks or something to help him out?
00:45:29.640 I don't know.
00:45:30.820 He's lazy, is the problem.
00:45:32.200 And horrifying.
00:45:33.200 And useless.
00:45:34.560 He drags down the whole squad of holiday-themed fictional characters.
00:45:38.180 He's the weak link in the chain.
00:45:39.700 He doesn't deserve to shine Santa's boots, let alone stand on his level.
00:45:44.040 And that is why the Easter Bunny is, once and for all, canceled.
00:45:50.400 Just in time for Easter.
00:45:52.300 I'm glad that we could have this very important, crucial conversation as we head into the Easter holiday.
00:45:58.180 Which I hope you enjoy and have a happy Easter and a blessed Easter.
00:46:00.760 And I will talk to you next week.
00:46:02.760 Have a great day.
00:46:03.720 Godspeed.
00:46:12.200 Well, if you enjoyed this episode, don't forget to subscribe.
