00:00:00.000 Today on the Matt Wall Show, there's finally a real and concerted effort to push back against critical race theory in schools, but the effort should go beyond merely pushing back.
00:00:08.320 I'll explain why. Also, five headlines, including a new report claiming that America will never achieve herd immunity and the coronavirus will be with us forever.
00:00:15.840 So that's the good news. Also, a viral video shows a mother trying to plant the idea into her daughter's head that she's really a boy.
00:00:22.080 And a male Democrat congressman tells a Republican woman to, quote, shut her mouth and is, of course, applauded by the left.
00:00:28.540 And finally, on our daily cancellation, we'll deal once and for all with the question, are space aliens preparing to invade?
00:00:34.880 And another question, even more important, why doesn't anyone seem to care?
00:00:39.620 All of that and more today on the Matt Wall Show.
00:00:48.800 Now a word from Charity Mobile.
00:00:50.580 You know, we all complain about all these companies out there that are that are, you know, hopelessly low woke and far left and everything.
00:01:00.280 But we shouldn't complain about that if we're not willing to support the companies that are not that the companies that have morals and are working with us and for us in the culture.
00:01:09.000 Here's one of those companies, Charity Mobile.
00:01:11.680 Charity Mobile is the pro-life phone company.
00:01:13.460 And the reason for that is 5% of your monthly plan price goes to the pro-life, pro-family charity of your choice.
00:01:19.160 And this is all about helping to build a culture of life in America while supporting a pro-life phone company at the same time.
00:01:24.880 You can turn everyday living into effortless giving with the charity of your choice.
00:01:28.780 But at the same time, you're also getting a great service.
00:01:30.340 So 5% of your monthly plan price goes to the pro-life charity of your choice.
00:01:34.340 We also get new activations and eligible accounts get a free cell phone with free activation and free shipping.
00:01:37.960 There's no contracts, there's no termination fees, and there's no risk with a 30-day guarantee.
00:01:42.560 You also get free usage alerts.
00:01:43.920 You get free apps to monitor your usage, pay your bill, and so on.
00:01:47.880 Makes it really convenient.
00:01:48.700 I know I use those apps as well.
00:01:50.400 I've been a Charity Mobile customer for a while now, and I can't say enough good things about it.
00:01:54.320 So you can call them at 1-877-474-3662 or chat with them online at charitymobile.com.
00:02:01.360 Well, you know, as a devoted cynic myself, I'm tempted to look at the downside in this rather sudden push by conservatives
00:02:07.400 to fight back against and even ban critical race theory.
00:02:11.240 The downside is that we waited this long to start fighting.
00:02:13.940 You know, critical race theory has been mainstream in our culture for years.
00:02:17.680 Kids in grade school and college have been indoctrinated into it for a very long time.
00:02:21.900 How do you think that so many millennials ended up like this?
00:02:24.620 We didn't fall out of the sky one day already in this pitiful condition.
00:02:28.880 It took conditioning for us to get like this, years of it.
00:02:31.880 And I say us only in the in the broadest sense of the term.
00:02:37.560 And when it comes especially to the racial conditioning, it took the right quite a while to notice, though.
00:02:44.560 Well, let's not let's not focus on that today.
00:02:46.400 The fact is that the racial brainwashing has finally come to the attention of many people,
00:02:51.720 especially conservatives, and that is a good, if late, perhaps even too late development.
00:02:57.460 This all means that the forces which are imposing this madness on society must ramp up the propaganda.
00:03:05.140 NBC News has gotten the memo leading to this headline that they tweeted out yesterday
00:03:09.100 in response to a school board election in Texas where CRT cult members were given a thorough drubbing.
00:03:15.860 But NBC News, this is how they reported it.
00:03:17.880 They said opponents of anti-racism education win big in a bitterly divided election in South Lake, Texas.
00:03:25.080 It says conservative candidates who opposed a school diversity plan won every local race,
00:03:30.020 taking about 70 percent of the vote in the wealthy Dallas-Fort Worth suburb.
00:03:35.100 Now, there's just two sentences there.
00:03:37.240 But those two sentences are a master class in dishonest framing.
00:03:42.840 What you just heard there, that's that's that's what fake news is.
00:03:47.020 It's what it sounds like, what it looks like.
00:03:49.660 Nearly every word is calculated to mislead, starting with
00:03:53.580 opponents of anti-racism education.
00:03:57.640 To even call it anti-racism education is to choose sides in the dispute.
00:04:03.960 When you call it anti-racism education, you're declaring that you're on the side of the CRT people.
00:04:09.520 The whole point that critics of CRT make is that it's not anti-racist at all.
00:04:14.920 That's the entire that's really the whole argument here or a major facet of the argument
00:04:21.100 is whether or not this actually is anti-racist.
00:04:26.380 By calling it anti-racist, you're taking a side.
00:04:30.940 But that's what we're saying.
00:04:32.560 You know, we're saying it's CRT is no more anti-racist than like a Newport ad is anti-smoking.
00:04:38.980 It teaches racism.
00:04:41.320 It divides people based on race.
00:04:43.780 It teaches that white people are inherently racist, inherently bigoted, inherently oppressive.
00:04:49.740 It treats whiteness like it's a disease, a cancer, a thing that has to be eradicated.
00:04:55.280 Our argument is that this is racist.
00:05:00.080 And we're obviously correct.
00:05:01.720 By calling this anti-racism education, you are, again, advocating for one side.
00:05:06.060 You're adopting their premise and you're pushing it under the guise of objective reporting.
00:05:10.540 And then there's the phrase bitterly divided.
00:05:14.180 NBC calls the election bitterly divided, even though conservative anti-CRT candidates won by 70%.
00:05:20.360 Now, call that what you want.
00:05:22.360 I prefer terms like landslide or perhaps even butt whooping.
00:05:26.380 But you can't call it bitterly divided.
00:05:28.200 The vote was, in fact, as close to unanimous as a vote of this kind can hope to get.
00:05:35.660 Meanwhile, speaking of propaganda, the founder of the 1619 Project, Nicole Hannah-Jones,
00:05:40.680 was on CNN yesterday responding to a letter from Mitch McConnell where he urged the Department of Education
00:05:45.960 to purge critical race theory from its curriculum.
00:05:48.420 Again, talking about how long it took to get to this point, perhaps, you know, perhaps too late.
00:05:58.660 Critical race theory has been in the curriculum for a very long time.
00:06:01.960 Mitch McConnell is just now sending this letter.
00:06:04.080 OK, fine.
00:06:04.900 But here's how Nicole Hannah-Jones made her case.
00:06:07.520 Here's what she said.
00:06:08.600 As you were aware, the minority leader also wrote in his letter to the secretary of education, quote,
00:06:13.300 Families did not ask for this divisive nonsense.
00:06:16.500 Voters did not vote for it.
00:06:17.880 Americans never decided our children should be taught that our country is inherently evil.
00:06:23.420 I know you take issues certainly with that characterization.
00:06:26.700 What is your reaction to this letter?
00:06:29.480 Absolutely.
00:06:30.240 Thank you for having me on and talking about this.
00:06:33.380 I'd like to kind of reframe the question just a bit because this is fundamentally a free speech issue.
00:06:39.340 If you look at the rhetoric of Senator McConnell and of state legislators all across the country
00:06:45.520 that are trying to get bills passed to prohibit the teaching of the 1619 Project,
00:06:50.020 it's not about the facts of history.
00:06:52.680 It's about trying to prohibit the teaching of ideas that they don't like.
00:06:56.680 So we, you know, I've been a little appalled by the silence of free speech advocates
00:07:01.560 as these attempts to ban ideas from being taught in schools are being introduced all across the country.
00:07:09.340 Yes, free speech.
00:07:11.380 That's it, right?
00:07:12.220 We want to ban ideas from being taught.
00:07:15.060 We don't want any ideas at all.
00:07:16.920 Because if you don't want the CRT, critical race theory idea,
00:07:19.900 then that means you must be anti-ideas.
00:07:22.000 You don't like any ideas.
00:07:22.780 If you don't like that idea, then you must not like any.
00:07:25.980 Right.
00:07:26.620 Free speech.
00:07:27.260 Teachers in schools should have the free speech to indoctrinate your children in whatever way they see fit.
00:07:33.180 Now, interestingly enough, something tells me that you'll never hear Nicole Hannah-Jones
00:07:38.360 or any of her ilk advocating for the, quote,
00:07:41.040 free speech of Christian public school teachers to teach their students that,
00:07:44.860 I don't know, Jesus Christ is their Lord and Savior.
00:07:47.840 In fact, you probably won't even hear them advocate for the free speech rights of Christian teachers
00:07:51.720 to even so much as acknowledge or mention their religious affiliation to their kids.
00:07:56.780 The free speech argument here is obviously smokescreen.
00:08:01.480 All you get from CRT cultists are smokescreens and misdirections
00:08:06.360 because they can't argue their case.
00:08:09.700 There's a reason why they want to inject these ideas into environments
00:08:13.680 where they won't be seriously questioned or criticized.
00:08:17.620 Most kids in school faced with indoctrination by their teachers and pressure from their peers,
00:08:22.780 they're not going to have the capacity to resist or to think critically about it.
00:08:27.280 Critical thinking is a skill that has to be taught.
00:08:32.260 You can't leave a kid alone to develop it on their own because they won't.
00:08:37.940 And if you're relying on schools to teach critical thinking to your kids,
00:08:41.880 then they're simply never going to learn.
00:08:44.500 There's another point to be made here also.
00:08:46.120 The backlash against critical race theory is good, of course.
00:08:53.160 We have to ask, how did the schools ever become forums for this kind of thing in the first place?
00:09:01.020 That's the real basic question.
00:09:03.500 Because this is extreme, extreme, far left, wacko stuff.
00:09:11.120 How did it get into the schools?
00:09:12.540 How did it get into the schools everywhere?
00:09:17.320 Well, because the school system is a fundamentally left-wing institution.
00:09:23.480 Right down to its bones.
00:09:25.880 Unlike a cellular level, it is left-wing.
00:09:29.660 And that's important to understand because even if you eradicate CRT from the curricula
00:09:33.980 and the textbooks and everywhere else, something else will take its place.
00:09:38.500 It's good to eradicate it.
00:09:39.960 We should, not just in schools, but everywhere.
00:09:45.920 But the strategy can't be one of perpetual defense.
00:09:49.460 You know, always putting out fires, always pushing back against this leftist indoctrination attempt,
00:09:54.900 and then that one, then the next one, and then on and on and on.
00:09:57.060 As conservatives, and especially as parents, our ultimate goal should be not just to free our kids of left-wing indoctrination,
00:10:04.240 but to actively raise them and educate them according to our own values and our own worldview.
00:10:12.700 This is a point that I'm emphasizing all the time.
00:10:16.220 It cannot be emphasized enough.
00:10:17.460 The problem with, for example, critical race theory is not simply that it is indoctrination.
00:10:27.620 It's that it is wrong.
00:10:29.520 It's bad.
00:10:30.980 It's evil.
00:10:32.260 It's harmful.
00:10:33.280 It's dangerous.
00:10:33.800 It's toxic.
00:10:34.600 That's the problem with it.
00:10:36.140 But indoctrination, that is, you know, when we're talking about kids anyway, bringing them up in a certain worldview,
00:10:46.880 introducing them and inculcating a value system into a child.
00:10:52.440 I mean, that is a form of indoctrination.
00:10:56.720 Anytime you, when you hopefully at home are teaching values to your children, you're indoctrinating them.
00:11:03.720 And that's good.
00:11:04.660 That's something that you should be doing as a parent.
00:11:08.120 That's something that kids need.
00:11:11.080 The question is whether it is good indoctrination or bad.
00:11:16.920 And when it comes to education, there is always going to be, you are never going to have an education that is totally free of worldview,
00:11:27.440 totally free of a value system, totally free of indoctrination, unless it's robots doing the educating.
00:11:34.660 You're always going to have that.
00:11:38.440 And so the next phase, the next part of this is to go, is to get away from this defensive stance
00:11:45.880 and to focus as parents on actively bringing our kids up and educating them in to the proper and right and good value system.
00:11:58.260 To a properly ordered worldview.
00:12:00.540 That has to be the goal.
00:12:04.200 We can't just get rid of critical race theory and then sit back and say, well, we've, our job here is done.
00:12:11.300 They'll just replace it with something else on and on and on forever.
00:12:16.060 Until we begin actively raising our kids with the correct value system that will help them become well adjusted, good people.
00:12:26.080 That has to be the goal.
00:12:27.960 And now let's get to our five headlines.
00:12:35.920 You have now only, well, less than a week until Mother's Day.
00:12:40.160 And if you haven't thought, if you haven't even thought about what kind of Mother's Day gift you're going to get,
00:12:44.740 then do you even love your mother?

00:13:51.800 You know, I'm at a phase right now, difficult phase myself, where my body is middle-aged, I guess.
00:14:01.280 I'm almost 35.
00:14:02.100 I think that counts as middle-aged.
00:14:03.660 But my emotional and mental maturity hasn't quite caught up to that.
00:14:07.920 So I did something to my back over the weekend.
00:14:11.220 It might have been when I was at the gym lifting on Saturday.
00:14:14.260 Or it might have been when I bent down to pick up a jar of peanut butter that had fallen out of the pantry.
00:14:19.400 And I could have done it.
00:14:20.100 I don't know what it was.
00:14:21.180 But I have been in extreme discomfort.
00:14:24.500 And then yesterday, we took the kids to a playground.
00:14:29.380 And I was playing on the jungle gym.
00:14:32.140 And now my back feels 10 times worse.
00:14:34.320 And the question is, you know, what kind of grown adult plays on the jungle gym to begin with?
00:14:39.440 And what kind of moron does it when he's already injured his back?
00:14:42.500 Well, me.
00:14:42.980 I mean, this moron is who does that.
00:14:45.680 And this is also why now I can't go to the doctor for it.
00:14:48.480 Because my wife is saying, well, you got to go to the doctor.
00:14:50.080 I'm not big on doctors in general because I'm a stereotypical man.
00:14:53.080 But I can't go and explain this whole story about, you know, I did something on my back.
00:14:56.940 And then I was playing on a jungle gym and I injured it more.
00:14:59.220 I could say it to you because I don't see you.
00:15:01.720 I'm just talking to a camera.
00:15:02.460 I can't sit in front of a doctor and say that.
00:15:06.840 So I will just suffer in silence.
00:15:08.700 Well, not really in silence.
00:15:09.400 I'm complaining.
00:15:10.020 I will suffer loudly is what I will do.
00:15:12.880 As any man should.
00:15:13.860 Okay.
00:15:14.580 This is from the New York Times.
00:15:15.660 It says, early in the pandemic, when vaccines for the coronavirus were still just a glimmer on the horizon,
00:15:20.760 the term herd immunity came to signify the end game.
00:15:24.120 The point when enough Americans will be protected from the virus so we could get rid of the pathogen and reclaim our lives.
00:15:28.760 Now more than half of adults in the United States have been inoculated with at least one dose of a vaccine.
00:15:34.280 But daily vaccination rates are slipping and there is widespread consensus among scientists and public health experts that the herd immunity threshold is not attainable, at least not in the foreseeable future and perhaps not ever.
00:15:45.640 Instead, they're coming to the conclusion that rather than making a long promised exit, the virus will most likely become a manageable threat that will continue to circulate in the U.S. for years to come, still causing hospitalizations and deaths, but in smaller numbers.
00:16:00.240 So that's the, this is going viral right now on social media.
00:16:05.160 That's the claim from the New York Times anyway, that there's never going to be herd immunity.
00:16:11.140 And not just the New York Times, Dr. Leanna Nguyen was formerly of Planned Parenthood and she was on CNN echoing these concerns that we will never have herd immunity.
00:16:22.460 Here's what she said.
00:16:23.100 We're going to get to herd immunity through a balance of those who've had it and those who've got vaccinated.
00:16:30.480 So this conversation is all about how that will be balanced.
00:16:35.080 And if we can get there through more vaccination, fewer people will get sick and die.
00:16:40.440 How's that?
00:16:43.460 Well, I certainly agree with you on everything you said in your intro.
00:16:47.100 I also, though, I'm not sure that we are going to reach herd immunity.
00:16:51.620 I mean, the other scenario here is that we get a decline in the number of infections because of increasing vaccinations over the summer.
00:16:58.060 That's really good.
00:16:59.120 But I also fear that people are going to get complacent.
00:17:01.940 They're going to see that things are returning to normal.
00:17:03.940 They can go about doing things that they can, that they were able to before, regardless of whether they were vaccinated.
00:17:10.000 And what I really worry about is that those people who are already on the fence don't get vaccinated.
00:17:15.320 We don't reach herd immunity come the fall.
00:17:18.060 And then with the winter, because coronaviruses are winter respiratory viruses, we have a big resurgence.
00:17:24.180 Maybe we have variants coming in from other countries and we could start this whole process all over again and have another huge pandemic come the winter.
00:17:32.760 And so that's why getting to herd immunity now as much as possible is really important.
00:17:37.980 So they're they're they're never going to let this go is what they're basically saying.
00:17:41.500 If I were to translate here, at best, there will be lulls in the panic porn that we get from the media and the, quote, health public health experts.
00:17:53.860 And then we get around the fall and wintertime.
00:17:55.820 They're going to ramp it up again.
00:17:56.720 And, you know, maybe at best, we'll end up with these kind of mask mandates and everything that that are imposed and then taken away and then imposed again, depending on the season.
00:18:09.320 I don't know.
00:18:10.820 But they're never going to fully let it go.
00:18:12.280 And as far as whether we reach herd immunity, I don't have much of an opinion on that.
00:18:18.380 I think probably a lot of it depends on what you mean by herd immunity.
00:18:24.740 But I also it doesn't surprise me.
00:18:28.340 You know, I.
00:18:29.740 Me as as someone, I'm not an expert now that I'll fully admit that from day one, I unlike some of these other experts on these supposed experts on cable news who claim to be but aren't.
00:18:39.400 I will tell you I'm not an expert, but from my non expert point of view early on, it seems pretty likely to me anyway that we'd always that the coronavirus, the COVID-19 would always be with us in some form.
00:18:54.480 It's always going to be out there.
00:18:55.380 It's probably not going to just go away completely.
00:18:58.940 And so if that's what they mean, then sure.
00:19:02.100 But that doesn't surprise me.
00:19:04.640 It's always going to be out there in some form.
00:19:07.640 Perhaps.
00:19:09.400 Uh, so the question really is the question now is the same question that we've been faced with from the beginning, which is it's here.
00:19:20.640 Maybe it's always going to be here in some form and to some degree.
00:19:25.260 Are you going to live your life or not?
00:19:28.180 You can choose to live your life in spite of that reality.
00:19:32.120 Um, or you can huddle under your bed in fear, trembling.
00:19:38.860 Those, those are really the two choices.
00:19:42.040 That's the choice that we, that, you know, we were faced with back in March of 2020.
00:19:46.300 It's the same choice now.
00:19:47.320 I know for me, I'm, I'm going to live my life.
00:19:53.080 There are many, many risks out there.
00:19:56.380 Many, many things that could kill me at any time.
00:19:58.560 Uh, and one of those things will kill me eventually.
00:20:02.940 Um, I'm fully aware of that.
00:20:06.920 COVID-19 has always been just for me, one of those things in that category.
00:20:12.300 Although in terms of things likely to kill me, it's it for me personally, as a low risk person for COVID, it's way down the list, but it's there along with all these other things.
00:20:24.300 And, uh, I'm, I'm aware of that and I'm going to live my life until I'm not living it anymore.
00:20:30.820 That's what we all have to decide.
00:20:33.640 Number two, representative Marjorie Taylor Greene tweeted this over the weekend.
00:20:37.260 Uh, this is what she said.
00:20:38.980 Democrat policies are destructive and America last.
00:20:43.040 Dem shutdowns killed hundreds of thousands of small businesses.
00:20:46.560 Dem open borders, uh, grow cartel business to $400 million per month.
00:20:51.300 And Democrat funded BLM slash Antifa riots have caused billions in damage.
00:20:55.880 Democrats are the enemy within.
00:20:58.240 So that's what she tweeted.
00:20:59.620 And that's all of that is true.
00:21:01.120 Of course, completely true.
00:21:03.260 But the Democrats didn't like it.
00:21:04.600 So Congressman Ruben Gallego, who is a, uh, a congressman from Arizona, he responded with this.
00:21:12.500 I was trying to figure out what type of pen to stab your friends with.
00:21:15.640 If they overran us on the floor of the house of representatives while trying to conduct a democratic transition of power.
00:21:20.560 So please shut your seditious QAnon loving mouth when it comes to who loves America.
00:21:28.620 Now we're going to leave aside the mellow drama about, I was looking for a pen to step.
00:21:32.720 But this is a line that we've heard, not just from this guy, but a lot of Democrats have, I guess they've found that to be a powerful image.
00:21:39.980 I don't think it particularly is, but, um, they're, they're, they're searching for pens to stab someone with because they thought they were about to die at any moment.
00:21:47.220 Uh, we're going to, we're going to leave that melodramatic BS aside for a moment.
00:21:50.700 But here he is talking to a woman and an elected representative of this country saying, shut your mouth, shut your seditious QAnon loving mouth.
00:22:03.100 And this response from him went viral, obviously, and obviously the left was celebrating it.
00:22:10.600 They loved it.
00:22:12.360 Uh, they, you go girl and everything.
00:22:14.580 They thought it was fantastic.
00:22:15.480 Um, but we know, doesn't even need to need to be said, but I will say it if a Republican had responded to, for example, Maxine Waters, when she, uh, left DC and went out to Minnesota to rile the mob up in the lead up to the Chauvin verdict.
00:22:36.880 If a, if a Republican had said to Maxine Waters, Hey, shut your mouth, shut your race baiting, lying, riot inciting mouth.
00:22:49.260 You can only imagine the response from the left, the screams of sexism and misogyny would be deafening.
00:22:59.580 You know what?
00:23:00.320 I'm, I'm really tired of, of pointing out these double standards.
00:23:04.140 And whining about them and complaining.
00:23:09.660 No, instead of whining about the double standard, we should reject it.
00:23:17.920 Okay.
00:23:18.380 So when the left sets a new rules for itself, then we say, okay, well then we can play by those rules too.
00:23:28.520 I'm, if, if those are the rules, according to you, then I have every right to play by them also.
00:23:36.500 And so that's what Republicans should start doing.
00:23:38.240 I know they won't, but a Republican should come out to Maxine Waters and say, Hey, shut your mouth.
00:23:45.480 AOC.
00:23:46.280 Next time she's droning on, shut your mouth.
00:23:48.900 AOC.
00:23:50.840 That's what they should do.
00:23:53.480 And of course the left will react how they're going to react.
00:23:55.820 Who cares how they react?
00:23:56.680 And whatever Republican had the stones to say that can say, Hey, look, you guys, you've already, you've already made it clear.
00:24:03.960 These are the rules now.
00:24:04.720 And I'm going to play by them.
00:24:05.540 I don't care.
00:24:06.240 No, no, no.
00:24:07.100 So you say that only you're allowed to play by them.
00:24:09.200 I reject that.
00:24:11.940 I'm not going to complain about the double standard.
00:24:14.060 I reject it.
00:24:16.240 You have set that standard.
00:24:17.640 And if I want to take advantage of it, I will.
00:24:21.320 I don't care what you say.
00:24:25.020 So this is the rule now.
00:24:27.640 Men in Congress are allowed to tell women in Congress to shut their mouths.
00:24:32.460 You know what?
00:24:32.980 That's fair anyway.
00:24:34.580 We live in a, in a feminist society, all about equality and equity and all these things.
00:24:40.720 Well, men talk this way to each other.
00:24:44.200 Okay.
00:24:47.180 That's what needs that.
00:24:47.920 But, but, but Republicans won't see what they do is they abide by the double standard while whining about it.
00:24:55.440 The left says, here's the rules for us.
00:25:00.320 Here are the rules for you over here.
00:25:02.160 And then Republicans obey those rules while complaining.
00:25:08.040 Oh, gee, this, this is really, this isn't fair.
00:25:11.540 Why do I have to play by these rules?
00:25:14.580 No.
00:25:14.900 And they shake their fists impotently.
00:25:17.220 That's your choice to play by them.
00:25:22.180 I mean, I'll say it.
00:25:23.180 Maxine Waters, you should shut your mouth.
00:25:24.980 You really should.
00:25:25.800 In a lot of ways.
00:25:26.540 All right.
00:25:30.580 Speaking of Maxine Waters, who needs to shut her mouth.
00:25:33.860 Maxine Waters did an interview over the weekend responding to Tim Scott's claim that America is not racist.
00:25:41.100 And she, she didn't like that.
00:25:42.960 She really did.
00:25:43.640 She's very upset.
00:25:45.280 Here's what she said.
00:25:46.980 Well, you know, I don't know if he was counseled to say that or whether he really believes that.
00:25:54.280 If he really believes that, then he has missed not only the history of the country, but what is going on right now.
00:26:02.220 As we watched the invasion of the Capitol on January 6th and those people following Trump saying they were taking back their government and they were willing to harm people.
00:26:15.780 As a matter of fact, not only were they willing to harm people, but the Capitol Police, who happened to be police of color, African-American, they were calling them names, the N-word.
00:26:31.960 Every day we have seen, you know, this nation get more racist than anybody thought perhaps would be at this point in time.
00:26:42.020 We've been through the civil rights movement where, of course, we made some progress, but this president that we had, Trump, was taking us backwards and he was making racist comments.
00:26:53.700 He was, you know, identifying himself with people like the Ku Klux Klan and the Proud Boys and the Oath Keepers and the QAnon.
00:27:05.040 I mean, that is racism defined in the most obvious way.
00:27:11.720 And so to say that this is not a racist country.
00:27:15.220 Maybe he meant to say that there are many people who are not racist in this country.
00:27:20.420 But yes, we have a problem with racism and that we must work to do something about it.
00:27:25.780 Maybe that's what he meant to say.
00:27:27.560 Okay, shut your mouth, Maxine.
00:27:29.960 Definitely shut your mouth.
00:27:31.740 No, that's not what he meant to say.
00:27:33.300 Maybe, no, you know, maybe he meant, there's no way he disagreed with me.
00:27:37.500 It's not possible.
00:27:38.520 No one can disagree with me.
00:27:39.820 I think what he meant to say was that he agrees with me.
00:27:43.500 That must be what he meant to say.
00:27:45.620 This is not possible.
00:27:46.340 How could anyone disagree with me?
00:27:49.880 Yeah.
00:27:51.740 I will agree with this.
00:27:53.140 If Donald Trump had, what was the phrase she used, identified himself with the Ku Klux Klan.
00:28:01.940 If he had done that, if he had identified himself with the KKK, then I would agree that's totally racist.
00:28:08.740 But he didn't.
00:28:10.780 Ever.
00:28:11.820 At all.
00:28:13.260 Nothing close to that.
00:28:15.480 Nothing that could be construed that way.
00:28:19.440 This is what she does.
00:28:20.920 That's why she's the most corrupt, dishonest, reprehensible member of Congress.
00:28:28.380 And is up there, like, for one of the all-time positions in that category, by the way.
00:28:33.400 Just makes stuff up.
00:28:35.820 Donald Trump identified himself with the KKK.
00:28:37.600 Okay.
00:28:38.440 And isn't challenged, obviously, by the supposed news anchor there.
00:28:45.820 Okay, well, you know what?
00:28:47.880 If America, America keeps getting ready.
00:28:49.660 America gets more and more racist every day, she says.
00:28:54.900 All right.
00:28:55.540 You know what?
00:28:56.160 Fine.
00:28:56.700 America gets more and more racist every day than, if that's what you think.
00:29:00.720 Then I guess we could stop with all these anti-racist measures.
00:29:04.480 Maybe this is the argument against CRT.
00:29:06.380 It's obviously not working.
00:29:07.800 So we've had years and years of anti-racism, critical race theory, you know, diversity, education, everything.
00:29:15.940 I mean, years and years of this, and Maxie Waters says we're only getting more racist.
00:29:20.880 It's not even like where racism is going away slower than we thought.
00:29:27.120 It's getting more racist.
00:29:29.640 That's her.
00:29:30.420 She thinks that.
00:29:32.700 So that means that this stuff isn't working.
00:29:35.580 I mean, if anything, it's making the situation worse.
00:29:37.720 The thing is, I actually, you know, this is the part I actually agree with.
00:29:42.280 I agree with her about that.
00:29:44.300 America is getting more racist, just not in the way that she thinks or will say.
00:29:51.260 Because, in fact, critical race theory and this obsession with race, dividing people based on race, all of that stuff.
00:30:00.160 It is making the country more racist.
00:30:02.920 It's just that a whole lot of that racism is targeted against white people.
00:30:13.660 And that's what happens when you have a whole group of people and you make them the scapegoats and the villains.
00:30:19.260 And you treat their identity like a sickness.
00:30:23.340 You know, whiteness has become synonymous with evil and all the bad things in the world.
00:30:29.020 So, yeah, when you do that, you're going to increase racism against that group.
00:30:34.660 That's not a surprise.
00:30:35.900 That's the reason you're doing it.
00:30:39.780 So, even though we agree for very different reasons, it sounds like in both cases this is an argument for getting rid of all these anti-racism measures.
00:30:50.160 They are either not working at all or they are creating the racism.
00:30:55.180 But what you can't claim is that they are successfully combating racism if America is only more and more racist each day, as Maxine Waters says.
00:31:09.620 All right, I want to leave some time for this.
00:31:13.780 I'll play this video.
00:31:14.820 You know, we play TikTok videos on this show frequently.
00:31:18.360 And oftentimes they're they're always deranged and disturbing, but but sometimes in a somewhat funny way.
00:31:26.200 This is not a funny one.
00:31:27.860 Of course, this is not one we can laugh about.
00:31:29.740 It is ludicrous in the extreme, but it's not at all funny.
00:31:34.300 Here is a mother who took this video, put it proudly on TikTok.
00:31:38.600 Showing how she is like a Munchausen by proxy situation, how she is trying to impose gender dysphoria on her innocent little daughter.
00:31:52.040 Let's watch.
00:31:53.160 Are you a boy or are you a girl?
00:31:55.520 I don't know.
00:31:57.520 I don't know who I am.
00:32:00.300 You don't know who you are?
00:32:02.180 Who do you think you are?
00:32:03.400 I feel like I'm a boy or are you, but I feel like I'm a boy or are you.
00:32:08.460 You feel like you're a boy?
00:32:11.860 What makes you think that?
00:32:15.100 I don't know who you are, but I feel like I'm a boy or are you.
00:32:19.500 Mommy, can I get this to you?
00:32:23.200 Okay, so a little hard to hear there if you're listening on the audio podcast, especially with the with the music.
00:32:30.820 It just makes us so much sicker, that music in the background.
00:32:37.560 But the video is of a girl six years old and the mother is like interrogating her and she's got the camera out.
00:32:48.760 She's recording it.
00:32:50.580 Oh, and there's there's words on the screen says my six year old daughter asks me if I think she looks like a boy.
00:32:55.340 And I asked her, do you want to look like a boy?
00:32:57.980 Her response left me speechless.
00:33:00.820 Speechless.
00:33:02.960 As if she had some profound response to that.
00:33:06.240 She didn't.
00:33:08.780 In fact, what she said originally was what actually there was there was one profound thing that the child said.
00:33:17.100 She said early in the video, I don't know who I am.
00:33:21.100 And the mother is pushing her along, guiding her along towards gender confusion.
00:33:29.980 And then she says something like, I think I'm a boy.
00:33:32.900 I feel like a boy.
00:33:33.620 But what she said there, I don't know who I am.
00:33:38.880 That is about as true a statement as a six year old child can ever make.
00:33:44.640 And it's a profound truth.
00:33:45.940 A child at that age doesn't know who they are.
00:33:52.800 And she is at some level aware that she doesn't know who she is, which is very interesting.
00:33:57.720 And maybe that awareness comes from having a parent who's obsessed with identity and always trying to impose these things.
00:34:06.300 And so this child appears to feel all kids are confused about their identity and who they are.
00:34:12.400 All kids are.
00:34:13.000 This is something they come to understand gradually with age.
00:34:18.400 But she is aware of her own confusion more, mostly because she has an abusive mother, psychologically abusive mother.
00:34:27.500 But I don't know who I am.
00:34:29.600 And then and then she settles.
00:34:31.320 Oh, I think I'm a boy.
00:34:33.860 But all you have to do is watch that video and you can see.
00:34:38.080 That really what you're dealing with here, there's no mystery.
00:34:40.600 There's nothing at all.
00:34:43.360 This is a child who is basically babbling nonsensically.
00:34:49.480 Touches on a few truths here and there.
00:34:51.400 I don't know who I am.
00:34:52.760 But for the most part, as kids do at that age and for years thereafter, kind of babbling.
00:35:00.180 Saying words.
00:35:02.240 Doesn't really know exactly what she's saying.
00:35:06.380 And what do these parents do?
00:35:07.880 They seize on that confusion and they exploit it.
00:35:15.340 And then they and then they they take these children.
00:35:17.380 They put them on display for the whole world to see.
00:35:22.000 That mother, by the way, I did look up her TikTok account and she was responding to some of the critics.
00:35:28.920 And of course, she was making a victim of herself.
00:35:30.640 And so I wasn't expecting I wasn't expecting all this this big response and trying to defend and make a victim of herself.
00:35:40.400 But she she's so surprised that this video got a lot of attention and she was being criticized for it.
00:35:46.460 And rightly so.
00:35:47.440 Yeah, well, if you didn't want attention.
00:35:52.800 Then why did you put it online?
00:35:55.220 This is the other thing these parents always do, which sends me through the roof.
00:35:58.720 Is.
00:36:01.720 They put their child on display for the whole world.
00:36:04.720 They publicize this stuff, even though nobody asked them to.
00:36:08.660 And then when when people share their opinions.
00:36:12.360 The parents will retreat back to this is our private life.
00:36:15.340 It's none of your business.
00:36:16.560 Stay out of our lives.
00:36:18.840 If it's none of our business, why are you telling us about it?
00:36:21.580 See, when you put something out there into into the public domain for everyone to see, you're going to get people's opinions.
00:36:30.260 We're allowed to have opinions of opinions about anything, any information you give me.
00:36:35.720 I am going to have an opinion about it because I have a brain and I'm allowed to.
00:36:41.780 If you don't want my opinion about it, don't tell me about it.
00:36:44.780 No, they want our opinion.
00:36:51.520 It's just that they want our opinion to validate.
00:36:56.220 The psychological trauma and abuse that they are.
00:37:01.860 Imposing on their child, that's what they want.
00:37:05.960 And when they don't get that, then they then then they become the victims, because as I always point out, this is all about the parent.
00:37:13.480 It's got nothing to do with the kid.
00:37:17.880 The children are spectators, you know.
00:37:25.240 In a weird way, the children become spectators of their own identity crisis.
00:37:31.800 As the parents create this identity crisis on their own.
00:37:36.660 And the kids are just sitting back looking at it like, what is what's mom doing?
00:37:40.920 What is what's happening right now?
00:37:43.480 Absolutely disgusting.
00:37:47.740 Yet another parent who should be in jail.
00:37:51.580 All right, let's move to reading the YouTube comments.
00:37:55.000 This one says, Matt, have your wife lay out your clothes the night before and you won't have to remember which shirt to wear on Fridays.
00:38:01.120 Well, she actually does lay out my clothes most.
00:38:06.000 Like I told you, I have the emotional and mental maturity of a child.
00:38:08.560 So she does lay out my clothes most days, but she is not.
00:38:14.040 Yeah, this is really her fault, I guess, that I miss Polka Dot Friday.
00:38:16.800 I guess we could blame her.
00:38:18.220 I'm not going to take any accountability.
00:38:19.260 But she is not a proponent.
00:38:23.880 I hate to be airing my own dirty laundry, so to speak.
00:38:27.220 But my wife is not a proponent of Polka Dot Friday.
00:38:31.680 She's not on board with it, really.
00:38:33.860 She's very anti-Polka Dot Friday.
00:38:36.640 And yeah, she laid out a shirt and I just put it on.
00:38:41.540 Because I'm going to wear whatever shirt is put before me to wear.
00:38:43.780 Not my fault.
00:38:48.520 Thank you.
00:38:49.100 Yeah, you know what?
00:38:49.600 I was wondering who to blame and I've realized it's my wife.
00:38:52.400 She used to blame for this.
00:38:54.400 Okay.
00:38:55.640 The other one says, congratulations on the 250,000 subs, Matt.
00:38:59.300 Even though YouTube hates you and us, it's still a fine achievement and well-deserved.
00:39:04.360 Good sir.
00:39:06.120 Well, yeah, we did reach, we crossed 250,000 subscribers.
00:39:09.780 So, you know, we started at the beginning of, like, mid-2020.
00:39:15.400 We had, I don't know how many we had, a pitifully low number.
00:39:19.860 So, we're climbing.
00:39:22.240 Christian says, please react to Rap Star by Polo G in your next rap review.
00:39:27.300 It's currently the number one song in the country for two weeks now.
00:39:29.520 And I would love to see your take on this modern masterpiece of Western civilization.
00:39:33.000 I'm sensing a little bit of sarcasm there.
00:39:34.600 I haven't heard of this artist known as Polo G.
00:39:38.060 He sounds great by the name.
00:39:40.760 I had been looking for another rap masterpiece to review for YouTube.
00:39:45.440 And maybe I'll check that one out.
00:39:50.560 Devin says, I really enjoyed your book, Church of Cowards.
00:39:53.380 When will your next book come out?
00:39:56.120 Well, I am actually working.
00:39:57.880 All I can say is I'm working on a book project right now.
00:40:00.700 And it's not what you expect.
00:40:03.300 It's going in a completely different direction from what you probably expect.
00:40:06.980 And that's all I can say right now.
00:40:07.980 And finally, I had a bunch of comments about the pit bull topic, which we touched on briefly during the five headlines yesterday.
00:40:16.380 One comment says, I disagree with your pit bull statement and the idea that since they're capable of mauling someone as a reason to ban them, as that's what the left says about police, they have the possibility to maul someone.
00:40:26.480 And why take the risk?
00:40:27.520 Another one says, Matt's argument against pit bulls is the same argument the left uses against the Second Amendment.
00:40:31.660 Another one says, Matt, I think you should talk to Caesar, the dog whisperer.
00:40:34.960 He will tell you that it's the owners who have a problem, not the dogs.
00:40:38.980 And Bo says, when you say pit bulls should be banned, you sound like a leftist, Matt.
00:40:42.640 Don't be a leftist.
00:40:43.440 You're better than that.
00:40:44.340 These are the kind of arguments I always hear with the pit bull thing.
00:40:46.520 It's like the Second Amendment.
00:40:47.960 No, no, no.
00:40:48.820 Or, oh, you're a leftist wanting to ban things.
00:40:51.800 First of all, I am not of the opinion that only the left wants to ban things.
00:40:56.280 I am totally in favor of banning some things.
00:41:00.020 It depends on what the thing is.
00:41:02.660 This is the kind of overly simplistic conservatism that we have to move past.
00:41:08.580 We have to grow beyond it.
00:41:10.120 We pretend that if you're banning the left, they're the only ones who want to ban stuff.
00:41:16.000 Of course I want to ban things.
00:41:17.000 There are plenty of things that are currently banned that I think should be banned.
00:41:20.740 I don't know.
00:41:21.340 We can start with murder is banned.
00:41:22.800 You know, that should be banned.
00:41:23.840 And I'm in critical race theory should be banned from our schools.
00:41:27.700 We just talked about that.
00:41:28.520 I think most conservatives agree.
00:41:29.500 So there's nothing wrong with banning things.
00:41:32.960 The question is, is it a thing that should be banned?
00:41:36.620 Now, guns aren't banned because we have that is a right expressly guaranteed to us in the
00:41:42.640 Bill of Rights.
00:41:43.080 And also it's it's necessary in order to preserve our liberty.
00:41:47.200 We need to have we need to have the ability to defend ourselves.
00:41:53.840 So and then the comparison to the police is downright silly.
00:41:59.040 Again, we need law enforcement officers because we need to have a law.
00:42:03.220 We need to have law in order to live in a in a civilized society.
00:42:06.860 And we're starting to see what it looks like to live in a society that is not civilized.
00:42:10.660 So if you want to have a civilized society, you need law and then you need law enforcers.
00:42:13.780 OK, so you've got with guns, it's a guaranteed constitutional right.
00:42:18.840 And also it's necessary law enforcement.
00:42:21.000 Again, necessary.
00:42:22.860 Pipples are not any of those things.
00:42:25.020 They're not necessary.
00:42:27.160 They're not a constitution guaranteed right.
00:42:28.940 But even that's not that's not even the point.
00:42:30.620 The point is that they're not a necessary thing.
00:42:32.720 It's it's a it's a, you know, a privilege that you have to own a dog like this and bring
00:42:39.980 a dog like this into the community.
00:42:42.720 And it's a question of whether it's worth the risk.
00:42:47.500 You know, whatever your desire is, you know, whatever your reason for getting a pit bull,
00:42:52.660 people have reasons for not wanting pit bulls in their community.
00:42:55.820 And whose claim should outweigh the other in this case.
00:43:02.040 And it seems to me that your reason for wanting a pit bull is that they're cute to you.
00:43:06.400 And you kind of and that's it.
00:43:08.420 I mean, that's really your reason.
00:43:09.300 Right.
00:43:09.380 You think they're cute and you think it's fun to have one.
00:43:12.940 OK, fine.
00:43:15.380 The reason people might not want pit bulls in their community is that every year.
00:43:21.000 Children and other people are mauled to death by them and they are inherently dangerous animals.
00:43:26.660 And they, you know, they are they are in their nature, aggressive and capable of killing people.
00:43:34.260 And that's why you might not want them in your community.
00:43:35.960 So I tend to think the people who don't want them in the community, I think their claim outweighs
00:43:43.400 your desire to have a cute animal.
00:43:47.560 That's it.
00:43:48.700 By the way, same reason we don't allow in most places you can't have wild animals.
00:43:52.400 You can't have like a chimpanzee or something in your house.
00:43:55.820 These are dangerous animals.
00:43:56.940 Yeah, they're cute.
00:43:57.860 They're dangerous.
00:43:58.620 You can't have them.
00:43:59.800 I would put the same thing with with pit bulls.
00:44:01.920 Very excited about new sponsor on the show.
00:44:04.400 Redneck Riviera whiskey.
00:44:06.300 Look, there are a few things better than whiskey to my mind.

00:44:13.680 values, got all that wrapped into one.

00:46:13.500 And again, my survey link is DailyWire.com slash Walsh.
00:46:17.520 Now let's get to our daily cancellation.
00:46:21.480 So today we have a daily cancellation that has been a long time coming.
00:46:24.400 Some of you out there have been begging to get canceled for this, and now the moment has
00:46:27.840 arrived.
00:46:28.920 The Catalyst is a piece of The New Yorker, published a few days ago, written by Gideon
00:46:32.540 Lewis Krause, titled, How the Pentagon Started Taking UFOs Seriously.
00:46:37.300 The article goes into great length discussing the evolution of the UFO issue, or UAP, Unidentified
00:46:42.800 Aerial Phenomenon, as they're now called, though I personally choose to stick with the traditional
00:46:46.380 name as an old-fashioned guy.
00:46:48.580 Now, I'm not canceling The New Yorker for this article.
00:46:50.680 Far from it.
00:46:51.100 It's quite fascinating, and it makes the case that has been made on this show at other
00:46:55.980 times.
00:46:56.940 What we know is that for decades, up until the past few years, UFOs were an area of thought
00:47:03.580 and study reserved for wackos and crackpots, or at least those perceived to be wackos and
00:47:08.120 crackpots.
00:47:09.360 But then things began to shift.
00:47:10.580 The Pentagon started admitting that it was aware of and had been investigating many reports
00:47:16.100 of strange aircraft in our skies, doing things these aircraft were, doing things that don't
00:47:21.160 seem possible by our current technology and understanding.
00:47:24.500 What's more, many sightings have been made by military personnel.
00:47:27.680 Often the objects are spotted over nuclear facilities and military installations.
00:47:31.060 These are trained technicians making these observations, not random yokels in a field somewhere.
00:47:35.740 These are people whose job is to spot threats in our skies and who presumably know what a weather
00:47:42.260 balloon looks like or a drone looks like.
00:47:44.860 And they're saying that these things, these crafts, are not that.
00:47:49.700 They're something else.
00:47:50.980 And they look different, too.
00:47:52.000 There are reports of a tic-tac-shaped objects and disks and flying pyramid-looking things.
00:48:00.380 And then the government began releasing videos of what some Navy pilots had seen up in the sky.
00:48:05.240 Sure enough, it appeared to be vehicles of some kind going way faster than current technology
00:48:10.600 allows, also not making any sound while they're doing it, stopping on a dime, shooting off in
00:48:15.780 another direction, sometimes dipping into the ocean and coming back out and making all kinds
00:48:19.340 of other maneuvers that just don't seem possible.
00:48:22.500 These are the sightings that we know about, also.
00:48:26.220 Other government officials and former government officials have come out and said that there
00:48:29.640 are many, many more that we don't know about.
00:48:32.480 Now the Department of Defense is expected to release a report to Congress early this summer
00:48:36.220 revealing what it knows about UFOs.
00:48:39.440 The point is that this is all quite unprecedented.
00:48:43.880 UFO sightings are not unprecedented.
00:48:45.620 We've heard about them, as I said, for decades.
00:48:47.420 Plenty of those sightings have proven to be hoaxes or misunderstandings.
00:48:50.660 Some of them are still unexplained.
00:48:52.360 But now we have the government confirming and providing video evidence of unidentified flying
00:48:59.440 objects.
00:49:00.200 They're admitting that they've investigated these things and they remain totally stumped.
00:49:06.060 Some former government officials have even openly speculated that the objects might be
00:49:10.420 otherworldly in origin.
00:49:11.660 Now this kind of openness and transparency on this issue from the government after decades
00:49:17.160 of stonewalling or pretending to laugh it off is pretty shocking.
00:49:21.920 So all in all, no matter what your theory is, no matter what you think is going on, this
00:49:26.660 is a major story and it's fascinating.
00:49:29.680 And something that should be attracting way more attention and interest than it is.
00:49:33.680 So that's why I'm canceling most of the American public today for failing to give this the
00:49:39.060 attention and interest that it deserves.
00:49:41.340 I mean, the government is out here confirming the existence of UFOs, providing videos of them
00:49:46.920 and preparing an official report to Congress on the subject.
00:49:50.460 And a lot of you are responding with a sigh and a yawn.
00:49:56.180 UFOs.
00:49:58.460 It's unconscionable to me.
00:49:59.880 Now, I'm not saying that you have to believe that aliens are visiting the earth.
00:50:04.620 What I'm saying is that something is going on and whatever it is, it's a big deal.
00:50:10.740 So it seems to me that there are four plausible explanations for this, for everything that's
00:50:15.940 happening.
00:50:16.900 The weather balloon slash lens flare slash camera trick slash hallucination explanations
00:50:21.900 are not on the list, are not really plausible anymore because we have now video and testimony
00:50:26.620 from expert trained observers and pilots.
00:50:28.720 Uh, so it's very clear that whatever these things are, they are actual things, not figments
00:50:33.640 of anyone's imagination, and they're not standard technology.
00:50:36.960 So that leaves four explanations.
00:50:39.480 One, a foreign, a foreign earthly adversary has developed a technology so incomprehensibly
00:50:45.480 advanced and beyond our own capabilities that our government has no idea what it is or how
00:50:49.800 it works.
00:50:51.020 Two, our own government has developed technology so incomprehensibly advanced and so top secret
00:50:56.260 that the people investigating UFOs at the Pentagon don't know about it and aren't being told.
00:51:02.040 Three, that this is all some elaborate psyop by our government, some big distraction technique.
00:51:07.680 Four, that there are intelligent beings in the universe elsewhere than earth, and we are
00:51:15.440 currently under their surveillance.
00:51:16.620 Okay, now, I don't know which of these explanations are correct.
00:51:20.300 I tend to doubt, number three, that the government is making all this up to distract us.
00:51:24.260 Mostly, I doubt it because it's not working.
00:51:26.680 It's not distracting us.
00:51:27.960 So, if this is a distraction technique, it's a pretty bad one.
00:51:31.440 Very few people seem to care.
00:51:32.520 Also, if they wanted to distract us with stories of UFOs,
00:51:35.000 why did they spend like 70 years denying all these stories?
00:51:38.660 But whatever the explanation, whether this is technology from China or it's our own technology
00:51:44.560 or it's technology from some other place unknown to us, the point is that it's a big deal.
00:51:48.960 Something significant is happening.
00:51:51.320 What's more, it's interesting.
00:51:53.640 It's way more interesting than almost everything else we've spent our time droning on about.
00:51:58.940 My issue here is not that the American public disagrees with me about the origin of these objects.
00:52:03.140 I don't know the origin, so you can't disagree with me about that.
00:52:05.640 I have no idea.
00:52:06.200 My issue is that much of the public and the media seems not to care very much one way or another.
00:52:13.480 And that's the thing I can't understand.
00:52:16.360 There are actual flying saucers or flying Tic Tacs zipping around the skies, defying the laws of physics.
00:52:24.860 Nobody seems to know what they are or where they came from.
00:52:27.500 And most people are looking up and going, eh, big deal.
00:52:31.000 Let's see what's on Netflix.
00:52:33.060 That's the thing that frustrates me, in fact.
00:52:34.520 The public cares much more about movies, about UFOs, than it does about the real thing.
00:52:40.940 I am convinced that if space aliens actually landed on Earth and were about to emerge from their ships
00:52:46.240 and divulge the secrets of the universe,
00:52:49.460 and a new Star Wars movie was premiering at the same time in the ultimate case of counter-programming,
00:52:54.380 most Americans would rather go watch the movie about the aliens than go see the real thing.
00:52:57.920 We are a nation of zombies with moldy brains, incapable of awe and wonder.
00:53:04.500 That's what this is really about.
00:53:06.320 It's awe and wonder.
00:53:08.000 You see video like that and you hear stories like this.
00:53:10.480 You're like, wow, this is amazing.
00:53:12.960 Something crazy is happening.
00:53:15.540 Let's talk about that.
00:53:16.640 What makes this UFO issue so captivating is that we don't know what's happening.
00:53:22.100 It gives us a chance to wonder and think and theorize, but a lot of people don't want to think.
00:53:27.080 They want their thoughts pre-made, pre-assembled, presented to them on a platter.
00:53:33.300 Everything that requires deeper thought is uninteresting because we lack the capacity for deeper thought.
00:53:37.500 You might recall a couple of years ago when scientists released the first ever image of a black hole.
00:53:45.300 It was an image of an intergalactic object some 55 million light years away.
00:53:53.020 Amazing.
00:53:54.160 But most people shrugged it off.
00:53:55.860 You know, they shrugged when it was released and they complained that the picture was too blurry and not that exciting.
00:54:01.420 That's blurry.
00:54:02.240 I can't see it.
00:54:04.000 This is boring.
00:54:05.880 Yes, it was blurry.
00:54:07.500 I mean, it's from 55 million light years away.
00:54:10.000 What do you want?
00:54:11.500 But what made it exciting was the very thought that this image came to us from 55 million light years away.
00:54:18.500 We're able to look back through time and space and see something massive and ancient and mysterious.
00:54:24.820 The image itself on the surface was just a blurry mess of colors.
00:54:28.880 Yeah.
00:54:29.600 But the image combined with the thought of what it is and what it means and the implications,
00:54:35.420 that's what made it fascinating.
00:54:38.960 Yet this requires us to have actual thoughts.
00:54:42.760 Just as the UFO story requires us to have thoughts.
00:54:45.340 On the surface, these are just weird things buzzing around in the sky.
00:54:49.620 But think deeper and the possibilities are truly awesome and incredible.
00:54:55.180 Sadly, though, the think deeper part is where we lose a lot of people.
00:54:59.560 And all of those people are canceled.
00:55:01.140 And by the way, they're also not invited to the welcome party when the aliens arrive.
00:55:06.420 Not that those boring losers would want to come anyway, so I guess no loss.
00:55:11.300 And we will leave it there for today.
00:55:13.700 All of you who have not just been canceled, I hope you have a great day.
00:55:17.980 Godspeed.
00:55:47.980 Today on the Ben Shapiro Show, CNN suggests that misinformation from the right will cause a civil war.
00:56:13.080 But it is the establishment media's embrace of radical critical race theory that will split the country.
00:56:18.200 That's today on the Ben Shapiro Show.
00:56:19.520 Give it a listen.
