The Matt Walsh Show - Ep. 714 - If BLM Is 'Afraid' Of The Police, They've Got A Funny Way Of Showing It

00:00:00.000 Today on the Matt Wall Show, a woman called internal affairs to complain that an L.A. County sheriff's deputy harassed her during a traffic stop.

00:00:06.900 But body cam footage, which has been released, shows a completely different story.

00:00:10.920 Also, five headlines, including outrage at Rick Santorum for claiming that Europeans built our civilization.

00:00:16.720 But isn't that simply an indisputable historical fact?

00:00:20.380 And Caitlyn Jenner comes out against men playing in women's sports.

00:00:23.620 But does that mean we can trust him as conservatives?

00:00:26.020 Plus, the Gateses are getting divorced and our daily cancellation, the Disney classic Snow White and the Seven Doors, is finally being called out for its promotion of rape culture. 0.93

00:01:59.200 A correspondent for Fox News, Bill Mulligan, published a video on Monday that helps put things into perspective.

00:02:06.680 This is what life is like for police officers these days.

00:02:09.940 The video is footage from a body camera worn by a Los Angeles County Sheriff's deputy.

00:02:14.440 Interestingly enough, the department doesn't require its officers to wear body cameras.

00:02:18.200 This officer chose to wear one for his own protection.

00:02:20.620 And it's very good that he made that choice because recently a woman called Internal Affairs to file a harassment complaint against him.

00:02:27.540 She claimed that he harassed her during a traffic stop.

00:02:31.520 Unfortunately, the deputy had his camera rolling during that stop.

00:02:35.020 And it becomes very clear very quickly just who is doing the harassing during this interaction.

00:02:40.680 The woman is so far unnamed.

00:02:42.260 And as soon as she is named, I'll be sure to tell you her name and plaster it everywhere that I can.

00:02:47.160 Now, I'm not always a fan of public shaming, but some people richly deserve it.

00:02:50.420 And oh, does this woman deserve it. 1.00

00:02:53.820 So let's play this.

00:02:55.520 Let's listen to this.

00:02:57.540 I'm being harassed today because I was going under the speed limit.

00:03:00.760 I was going at 38.

00:03:02.160 Yes, you are, ma'am.

00:03:03.120 Good morning.

00:03:03.760 Which is, and the speed limit is 40 and I was going 38.

00:03:06.900 So why are you harassing me?

00:03:08.100 You're correct.

00:03:08.880 I pulled you over because... 1.00

00:03:09.800 Because you're a murderer. 1.00

00:03:10.700 Yes, I started to record because you're a murderer. 1.00

00:03:13.180 You can't be on your cell phone while you're driving. 0.99

00:03:15.200 I wasn't on my phone.

00:03:15.740 I was recording you because you scared me.

00:03:17.960 You can't use your cell phone while you're recording.

00:03:19.860 I can record you.

00:03:20.360 May I have your driver's license?

00:03:21.340 I, it's, it's at my apartment.

00:03:24.960 What's your apartment?

00:03:26.060 It's at my home.

00:03:27.180 I'm just taking my son to his...

00:03:28.800 Do you have, do you have your driver's license?

00:03:30.840 I, it, I mistakenly left it at home.

00:03:33.440 Do you have a picture of your driver's license?

00:03:35.340 Yes, I do.

00:03:36.020 May I have it?

00:03:36.440 And can you call your supervisor, please?

00:03:40.660 I, I already did.

00:03:41.640 He's on his way. 1.00

00:03:42.180 Good, because you're a murderer. 1.00

00:03:43.600 Okay. 1.00

00:03:46.000 And so you're giving me a cell phone ticket?

00:03:48.900 Is that why you're harassing me?

00:03:50.920 It's not harassment.

00:03:51.740 I, I am enforcing the law.

00:03:52.900 I have a right to record the police when they're harassing me.

00:03:56.520 By all means.

00:03:57.360 But you can't do it while you're driving.

00:03:59.240 I was, I can, I wasn't, doesn't texting or none of that.

00:04:03.440 Do you have, you have that picture?

00:04:04.440 And you scared me and made me think you were going to murder me.

00:04:06.540 Okay.

00:04:06.920 Well, I'm sorry you feel that way.

00:04:08.080 Well, you're, that's not just a feeling. 1.00

00:04:09.880 You're a murderer. 1.00

00:04:10.640 Okay. 1.00

00:04:11.280 Can you zoom in on that for me?

00:04:12.600 Sure.

00:04:13.460 Thank you.

00:04:13.940 And I'm perfectly legal and I'm a teacher.

00:04:17.520 So there.

00:04:18.360 Congratulations.

00:04:20.220 Of course she is.

00:04:21.220 Of course she's a teacher.

00:04:22.360 Oh, you knew that.

00:04:23.280 You just, from this, from everything, her behavior, the sound of her voice, you already

00:04:28.820 knew she was a teacher.

00:04:30.400 Meligan says that she has worked as a professor at colleges in the area.

00:04:33.840 Apparently this is just another reason why her name and face should be 0.99

00:04:36.420 published.

00:04:37.520 The public has a right to know where this psycho is teaching.

00:04:40.840 Besides she was filming the encounter too.

00:04:42.960 So she obviously wants it to be made public.

00:04:45.300 I mean, we should respect her wishes and make it as public as possible.

00:04:48.840 She wants to be famous. 0.92

00:04:49.720 So I say, let's oblige.

00:04:51.600 There's plenty more to say about this and a couple of larger points I want to make, but

00:04:54.540 first let's, uh, let's watch the rest of the footage because it does get worse.

00:04:57.880 It does get worse.

00:04:58.740 If you can believe it. 1.00

00:05:00.280 You're a murderer. 1.00

00:05:01.840 What's your last name? 1.00

00:05:02.620 I can't see that there.

00:05:03.500 Well, here you go.

00:05:04.380 Stop shaking.

00:05:06.520 Zoom in on that for me.

00:05:07.700 Because you're scaring me. 1.00

00:05:09.260 You're threatening to kill me and my son. 0.99

00:05:11.440 Can you give me the. 0.99

00:05:12.180 Okay.

00:05:12.980 I'll tell you what.

00:05:13.760 You keep smiling.

00:05:14.380 You're on camera. 1.00

00:05:15.040 You're trying to threaten to kill me. 0.92

00:05:17.260 I didn't say that. 1.00

00:05:18.240 You're the one who's crazy. 0.99

00:05:19.020 Hold that still. 0.99

00:05:19.700 I can't see that.

00:05:20.480 Is this your car?

00:05:21.460 Yes, it is.

00:05:22.380 Um, you're trying to say I stole my own car because you're jealous?

00:05:26.320 Yeah.

00:05:26.680 Is that what that's about?

00:05:28.520 You wait for me right here, okay?

00:05:29.840 You're jealous.

00:05:30.960 You got the citation.

00:05:32.080 All you need to do is just give your signature.

00:05:34.180 He's only citing you for using your cell phone while you're driving.

00:05:36.700 That's it.

00:05:37.260 Here you go, ma'am.

00:05:37.860 Sign inside the red box right there. 0.99

00:05:39.000 For him being a Mexican racist. 0.98

00:05:40.980 What is that name? 0.98

00:05:42.600 Gaso.

00:05:42.920 Sign the citation, ma'am. 1.00

00:05:44.040 Here you go, Mexican racist. 1.00

00:05:46.500 You're always going to be a Mexican. 1.00

00:05:48.200 You'll never be white. 0.99

00:05:49.120 You know that, right? 0.86

00:05:50.460 You'll never be white, which is what you really want to be. 0.99

00:05:53.100 You want to be white. 0.97

00:05:54.200 Have a good day. 0.91

00:05:55.220 You want to be white? 0.88

00:05:56.320 What a lovely, what a lovely woman. 0.99

00:06:00.500 A little racism there at the end.

00:06:01.880 Why not?

00:06:02.240 Why not throw that in there for good measure? 1.00

00:06:03.820 You've already decided to be a scumbag. 1.00

00:06:05.800 Scumbag might as well go full hog, I guess. 1.00

00:06:08.180 And yet after all that, the vile, disgusting witch of a woman gets only a citation. 1.00

00:06:14.040 For using a cell phone while driving. 0.99

00:06:16.320 The officer actually cuts her a break. 0.99

00:06:18.340 Doesn't get her for driving without a license.

00:06:21.240 Needless to say, this is a man with near superhuman patience.

00:06:25.700 If that were me, I would have given her every ticket I could have possibly justified.

00:06:30.040 And then a few more that I can't. 1.00

00:06:31.760 Also probably would have been screaming at her to shut her stupid mouth. 1.00

00:06:34.660 Because, you know, I'm on the opposite end of the patient spectrum. 1.00

00:06:37.420 I have to admit.

00:06:38.760 But this is the kind of patience that police officers must so often demonstrate.

00:06:43.420 They deal with people like this all the time.

00:06:47.500 In fact, that was easy compared to how so many other traffic stops have gone, especially in L.A.

00:06:52.740 At least she didn't physically assault the officer or try to shoot him.

00:06:55.280 So that's progress.

00:06:57.040 Perhaps this can lend a little bit of perspective.

00:06:59.880 Some police officers are bad.

00:07:01.960 Just like some members of every profession are bad.

00:07:04.260 In some professions, the percentage of bad is much higher than others.

00:07:08.340 Professions like academia, for example. 0.99

00:07:11.340 Riddled with lunatics like this. 0.98

00:07:14.100 For police officers, only some are bad. 0.99

00:07:17.100 Some, like this deputy, are almost unbelievably good at their jobs.

00:07:20.500 Everyone else falls in between.

00:07:22.240 They're just normal people doing their best.

00:07:24.280 Bad days and good days.

00:07:25.360 Successes and failures.

00:07:26.860 Getting by as well they can.

00:07:28.880 I mean, this describes the vast majority of people on earth.

00:07:31.820 In all vocations.

00:07:33.160 In all occupations.

00:07:34.680 Now, what happens when a normal person is subjected to constant harassment and taunting?

00:07:42.820 What happens when they're forced to encounter the absolute dregs of humanity day in and day out?

00:07:48.660 What happens when they spend all day, every day, dealing with drug addicts, domestic abusers, gangbangers, drunks?

00:07:57.220 People of that sort.

00:07:59.100 It has a psychological effect.

00:08:01.600 So my point is that whenever we see body cam footage of some citizen acting like a lunatic around the police,

00:08:08.660 we're always asked to see things from that person's perspective.

00:08:12.660 To understand the pain and trauma that led to that behavior and so on.

00:08:16.600 Well, what about the pain and trauma of the guy wearing the camera?

00:08:19.240 Might we consider things from his perspective, too, sometimes?

00:08:24.040 I know that if I had to deal with people like that woman every day and worse, 1.00

00:08:27.760 it wouldn't take long to turn me into a jaded, aggressive jerk. 1.00

00:08:31.680 In fact, I already am a jaded, aggressive jerk and only work in media. 0.99

00:08:35.420 So the majority of police critics, if they had to deal with stuff like that all the time, 0.99

00:08:43.520 they'd be far worse than the worst police officer that they criticize.

00:08:49.320 Two other things to think about.

00:08:51.600 First, we don't talk enough about the entitlement problem and how it intersects with these issues.

00:08:56.220 This woman has a sense of entitlement so pronounced that it's driven her into basically madness. 0.99

00:09:04.340 She's furious that the officer would dare pull her over to enforce the law.

00:09:07.360 She feels that she's entitled to do whatever she wants, whenever she wants.

00:09:11.260 And anybody who deigns to prevent her is, to her mind, effectively a murderer.

00:09:15.440 She's so entitled that even when the officer cuts her a massive break, she still isn't satisfied.

00:09:21.420 To have even been inconvenienced is an affront that she cannot bear.

00:09:27.560 Now, she might be a somewhat extreme case, but this kind of entitlement, to one degree or another, is extraordinarily common.

00:09:35.200 It's not the thing that cops run into every single day.

00:09:37.780 Just consider the fact that in a great many of the police body cam videos or witness cell phone videos we've seen,

00:09:42.660 the perp who is allegedly the victim of police brutality was committing a crime

00:09:46.340 and then resisted arrest when the police came to enforce the law.

00:09:50.560 They act shocked and angered by the fact that the law is being applied to them.

00:09:55.940 They're so self-entitled that they expect they can refuse to be arrested and the cop will just go,

00:10:01.120 well, okay, never mind, sir.

00:10:02.400 Sorry to have bothered you on this fine afternoon.

00:10:06.220 When the cop doesn't respond that way, they become violent.

00:10:09.860 Again, police encounter this mentality day in and day out.

00:10:14.340 Also, the woman in that video, let's focus on this for a second.

00:10:18.100 She repeatedly claims that she is scared.

00:10:23.640 Another thing we hear all the time, all these people who say they're scared to death,

00:10:27.880 afraid they'll be murdered by the cops, blah, blah, etc.

00:10:30.920 But so often these scared people act exactly like this woman.

00:10:36.160 She's scared of the cop and yet she's going out of her way to antagonize him.

00:10:39.400 She's yelling at him, insulting him, trying to instigate a reaction.

00:10:46.100 She's already gotten a break.

00:10:47.780 They're about to let her leave and she's still screaming at him and insulting him. 0.99

00:10:53.220 She's afraid that he'll kill her and yet she taunts him relentlessly.

00:10:56.680 Is that how scared people behave?

00:11:00.120 Have you ever been so scared of someone that you walk up to them and say, 1.00

00:11:04.760 hey, you big fat dummy, kiss my ass. 1.00

00:11:07.640 If you're acting that way to someone, should we assume that you're scared of that person? 1.00

00:11:13.620 We're even expected to believe that the people who resist arrest,

00:11:17.080 who actually initiate violent encounters with police,

00:11:20.160 who choose of their own volition to create a violent situation with police.

00:11:27.520 They're scared too, we're supposed to believe.

00:11:30.540 They're committing a crime.

00:11:32.760 They're being arrested for committing a crime.

00:11:35.220 All that is totally fair.

00:11:37.060 They could simply go off to jail, fight this in the courts.

00:11:44.100 But then they decide to make it violent.

00:11:47.080 Didn't have to be.

00:11:47.900 They made it that way.

00:11:48.760 Because they're scared.

00:11:51.780 Huh.

00:11:53.000 And the BLM rioters in the street who throw rocks at cops, 0.81

00:11:56.020 taunt them, cuss them out, 0.60

00:11:58.180 sometimes strip off their clothes and dance naked in front of them, 0.95

00:12:01.400 they're scared too, supposedly.

00:12:03.740 All of these people professing to be deathly afraid of the police

00:12:06.300 and yet acting towards the police

00:12:07.940 in exactly the sort of way you'd act towards someone

00:12:11.440 if you weren't afraid of them in the slightest.

00:12:15.240 Could it be that all this talk about being scared is nonsense?

00:12:18.760 Could it be that it's nothing but emotional blackmail?

00:12:22.440 An act?

00:12:23.340 A charade?

00:12:24.280 To justify their own despicable and indefensible behavior?

00:12:27.280 Yes, it could be.

00:12:30.120 And it is, in fact.

00:12:31.980 Nearly everything you hear from the anti-cop left is bogus.

00:12:37.240 Everything.

00:12:38.440 The claims they make about policing in general are statistically false.

00:12:42.300 But even the claims they make about their own emotional states are also false.

00:12:48.240 It is all false.

00:12:50.180 All a lie.

00:12:51.680 Every bit of it.

00:12:53.420 And we should never forget that.

00:12:55.860 Now let's get to our five headlines.

00:12:57.160 You know, it has been a difficult time this last year.

00:13:06.160 It's always hard when you're a business owner

00:13:24.120 That's why hiring can feel like, you know,

00:13:25.520 trying to find a needle in the haystack.

00:13:26.860 Sure, you could post your job online.

00:13:29.220 You could post it on some kind of job board.

00:13:30.840 But then all you're doing is hoping that the right person stumbles across it.

00:13:33.620 Which is why, forget about that.

00:14:26.080 Okay, so number one here, you know, I always say never apologize to the outrage mob.

00:14:31.400 Here's another exhibit to enter into consideration for that.

00:14:35.500 Rick Santorum was speaking at a YAF conference,

00:14:39.400 and we're good friends with YAF over here, big fans and partners with YAF.

00:14:44.260 And he was speaking at a conference a few days ago.

00:14:47.380 I think this was in D.C., I believe, but I could be wrong about that.

00:14:51.300 And he got into some trouble because of what he said about our history, this country's history.

00:14:58.180 Here are the allegedly offensive remarks.

00:15:00.780 Listen.

00:15:01.540 If you think about this country, I don't know of any other country in the world

00:15:04.720 that was settled predominantly by people who were coming to practice their faith.

00:15:10.340 They came here because they were not allowed to practice their particular faith in their own country.

00:15:15.480 And so they came here mostly from Europe, 0.91

00:15:17.280 and they set up a country that was based on Judeo-Christian principles.

00:15:24.220 When I say Judeo-Christian, the Mosaic laws, Ten Commandments, 1.00

00:15:27.880 and the teachings of Jesus Christ, the morals and teachings of Jesus Christ.

00:15:32.100 That's what our founding documents are based upon.

00:15:35.020 It's in our DNA.

00:15:37.960 You know, if you think of other countries like Italy and Greece and China and Turkey and places like that,

00:15:44.260 they've all sort of changed over time.

00:15:48.500 I mean, they've been there for millennia in many cases.

00:15:53.380 And their culture has sort of evolved over time.

00:15:56.620 But not us.

00:15:57.760 We came here and created a blank slate.

00:16:03.120 We birthed a nation from nothing.

00:16:06.100 I mean, there was nothing here.

00:16:07.080 I mean, yes, we have Native Americans,

00:16:08.880 but candidly, there isn't much Native American culture in American culture.

00:16:15.100 It was born of the people who came here pursuing religious liberty

00:16:20.200 to practice their faith, to live as they ought to live,

00:16:27.800 and have the freedom to do so.

00:16:29.960 Religious liberty.

00:16:32.060 Okay.

00:16:33.100 Well, yes, all of that is true.

00:16:36.100 No problem with any of that.

00:16:37.220 That's all completely true.

00:16:38.200 So, it is true that the European settlers built a country,

00:16:49.300 they built a civilization, our civilization.

00:16:51.100 They built it from scratch.

00:16:53.020 They built it from the ground up.

00:16:54.400 They built it from a blank slate.

00:16:55.660 They did.

00:16:58.480 When they came here, there were scattered collections of warring primitive tribes.

00:17:06.880 These were essentially stone, not essentially,

00:17:10.440 these were, for the most part, Stone Age primitive tribes,

00:17:15.780 and they weren't all one big, we talk about, you know,

00:17:20.120 the Indians or Native Americans as if they're one homogenous group.

00:17:23.160 They're not, and they certainly weren't back in those days.

00:17:29.000 They were scattered across North America and South America,

00:17:33.800 and they were at war with each other.

00:17:37.800 I mean, in a constant state of war with each other, in fact.

00:17:43.280 European settlers came and they built our civilization as we know it today.

00:17:49.580 All of that is true.

00:17:51.540 It just is.

00:17:52.620 Now, you could, you might not like that it's true.

00:17:55.820 You might prefer that people don't acknowledge that it's true,

00:17:58.320 but it is true.

00:18:01.880 Now, but Rick Santorum got into a lot of trouble with that,

00:18:04.740 with the left, and they were very upset,

00:18:05.880 and his name was trending, and everybody was outraged.

00:18:09.720 And he went on CNN with Chris Cuomo a couple nights ago to address that.

00:18:16.540 Now, he didn't apologize.

00:18:18.880 And I want to give him credit for not apologizing,

00:18:21.060 and I do, sort of, but he all but apologized.

00:18:28.140 He backpedaled, and he was kind of like stammering over his words a little bit,

00:18:31.740 and he said that he misspoke.

00:18:34.060 He didn't mean to say that, which is effectively an apology.

00:18:38.760 You know, it's kind of, he's dissembling,

00:18:40.020 and he's trying to get his way out of it,

00:18:41.900 but he doesn't actually say that he's sorry.

00:18:44.060 So he all but apologizes, which is unfortunate.

00:18:46.700 Now, I wish he would have gone on CNN and said,

00:18:49.660 no, I don't, yeah, I said what I said.

00:18:51.400 I meant it.

00:18:51.900 It's true.

00:18:53.300 Oh, you don't like it?

00:18:54.180 It offends you?

00:18:54.720 Well, you know, I don't care.

00:18:55.960 It's a simple fact.

00:18:59.640 I wish he would have done that, but he didn't.

00:19:02.260 But he also didn't say the words, I'm sorry.

00:19:06.340 And we know with the left,

00:19:08.100 even if you apologize, they're not going to be satisfied.

00:19:10.260 But if you don't even do that,

00:19:12.380 I mean, if they're upset at you about something,

00:19:16.360 and the first words out of your mouth aren't, I'm sorry,

00:19:20.440 oh, man, they can't, talk about entitlement.

00:19:24.740 They can't wrap their heads around that.

00:19:28.200 They're going to be left speechless.

00:19:31.560 And so now we go to Don Lemon,

00:19:32.860 who was the day after was talking to,

00:19:34.480 I think this is the day after,

00:19:35.800 talking to Chris Cuomo about that exchange

00:19:40.100 with Rick Santorum,

00:19:41.200 where he doesn't explicitly apologize.

00:19:43.960 And Don Lemon is, he's sputtering.

00:19:47.520 He's nearly speechless that he can't believe.

00:19:51.300 He just can't believe that Rick Santorum

00:19:53.080 didn't apologize to the whole world.

00:19:55.800 And I guess, you know,

00:19:56.580 Don Lemon personally wanted an apology to him too.

00:19:58.660 So here's Don Lemon rendered nearly speechless.

00:20:04.940 I was furious watching the interview in my office.

00:20:07.480 I cannot believe the first words out of his mouth weren't, 0.94

00:20:10.520 I'm sorry, I said something ignorant,

00:20:13.520 I, you know, I need to learn about the history of this country.

00:20:17.600 No contrition.

00:20:19.300 Didn't talk about, you know,

00:20:21.440 the suffering that Native Americans 1.00

00:20:23.240 have had to deal with in this country.

00:20:25.440 It was, I mean, Rick Santorum, really?

00:20:29.300 Who, did he think,

00:20:30.440 did he actually think it was a good idea

00:20:32.120 for him to come on television

00:20:33.260 and try to whitewash the whitewash that he whitewashed?

00:20:36.720 I mean, it was, it was horrible.

00:20:39.720 It was horrible and insulting.

00:20:41.700 And I apologize to the viewers who were insulted by it

00:20:44.340 because I was sitting in my office furious

00:20:46.900 because he's done it so many times.

00:20:50.220 So many times.

00:20:51.580 And it's just, I'm sorry.

00:20:52.920 It was just, it was so egregious and insulting

00:20:56.480 and everything that we talk about,

00:21:00.020 about the founding of this country.

00:21:02.900 Europeans did not found, found this country.

00:21:05.560 It was here.

00:21:06.520 The Native Americans had this country 0.98

00:21:07.920 before the Europeans came. 0.68

00:21:10.800 What a drama quick.

00:21:12.020 Calm down, Don.

00:21:12.900 You're embarrassing yourself.

00:21:15.060 That's so emotional.

00:21:16.740 I couldn't believe it.

00:21:18.360 How could he, he didn't apologize.

00:21:20.600 I just, I can't believe it. 1.00

00:21:21.900 Just, just shut up. 0.99

00:21:27.300 And he says, okay. 0.99

00:21:31.880 He says that Rick Santorum didn't acknowledge

00:21:35.120 the suffering of Native Americans.

00:21:36.620 So why does he have to acknowledge that?

00:21:39.400 That's not what he was talking about.

00:21:42.360 See, that's the thing.

00:21:43.480 We can talk about our history as a country

00:21:46.240 and as a civilization.

00:21:47.880 Um, we don't have to run through a list

00:21:53.320 of all the sins and all the people

00:21:55.140 who are victimized before we get to that point

00:21:57.100 where we can talk about the history.

00:21:58.380 Sometimes we can just talk about the history.

00:22:01.280 That the suffering of Native Americans

00:22:03.580 wasn't relevant to the point he was making.

00:22:05.680 But this is what the left wants.

00:22:09.240 You better not dare, in their mind,

00:22:12.160 say anything about American history

00:22:14.100 without first, without prefacing it with an apology.

00:22:19.180 Before you, before you, uh, express any pride,

00:22:22.560 certainly, in your country's history,

00:22:25.160 you better start by saying,

00:22:27.980 well, I'm so sorry, the Native Americans, 1.00

00:22:29.900 they were, they were, they suffered,

00:22:31.320 and all these other minorities suffered, 0.66

00:22:33.420 and everyone suffered,

00:22:34.260 and it was a terrible, terrible thing,

00:22:35.420 and everything was horrible.

00:22:36.300 It was a horrible country.

00:22:37.720 But also, here's what I want to say.

00:22:41.940 That's how you're supposed to start.

00:22:44.620 I'm happy that Rick Santorum didn't start that way.

00:22:47.900 Of course, then he goes on TV,

00:22:49.260 and he still backpedals and says that he misspoke.

00:22:52.880 So he doesn't really,

00:22:53.340 he doesn't really get any credit from me at all.

00:22:57.320 But it just goes to show,

00:22:58.480 there's no, why backpedal at all?

00:23:01.820 Why claim you misspoke?

00:23:03.040 You didn't misspeak.

00:23:04.020 You said what you meant to say,

00:23:05.280 and you were right.

00:23:07.940 You're not going to get any credit at all.

00:23:09.620 You get, you get zero.

00:23:10.580 You get zero credit.

00:23:13.760 You know, this is, this is like a,

00:23:15.980 for the left, they're like teachers,

00:23:17.560 where if you get one question wrong on the test,

00:23:20.140 you get zero.

00:23:20.880 You get no, no credit at all.

00:23:24.100 Except the test here, it's not a factual test.

00:23:26.300 The test is, how much are you,

00:23:30.080 you know, are you lining up with,

00:23:32.760 the test is all about their ideology,

00:23:35.500 and how do you line up with it?

00:23:38.720 And are you, are you lining up

00:23:41.040 with their preconceived notions

00:23:42.300 and their ideological convictions?

00:23:45.400 If you deviate from that at all,

00:23:47.740 then you get zero credit.

00:23:51.320 So why bother?

00:23:52.840 Why bother?

00:23:53.580 You've already got Don Lemon crying on camera.

00:23:59.220 You might as well.

00:24:00.140 I wish Rick Santorum had gone all the way.

00:24:04.100 I wish he had just sat there and laughed

00:24:06.180 and said, oh, people were upset about that.

00:24:08.860 That's great.

00:24:09.760 Yeah, I don't care.

00:24:11.100 I wish he had done that.

00:24:13.120 That would, can you imagine Don Lemon,

00:24:15.100 if Santorum had said that on Chris Cuomo's show?

00:24:19.200 Lemon would be in literal tears. 0.99

00:24:21.220 He'd actually be breaking down in tears,

00:24:23.340 crying on camera,

00:24:24.740 if only Santorum had done that.

00:24:27.960 And then he says that this country,

00:24:30.840 this is a grown adult man,

00:24:36.100 allegedly,

00:24:38.200 and a professional news anchor,

00:24:42.560 allegedly,

00:24:44.400 claiming that this country already existed

00:24:47.940 before the European settlers got here?

00:24:50.280 What?

00:24:51.440 No, it didn't.

00:24:53.400 That is ahistorical, 0.97

00:24:56.640 incoherent nonsense.

00:25:00.900 This country didn't exist before the, 0.93

00:25:02.760 oh, really?

00:25:03.780 So the Native Americans,

00:25:05.280 as a group,

00:25:05.940 created the United States of America?

00:25:07.360 Did they?

00:25:09.340 That's what happened?

00:25:11.840 We already had everything set up.

00:25:13.260 The states and everything,

00:25:13.920 everything was already established.

00:25:17.940 No,

00:25:18.860 there was no country

00:25:21.580 before the settlers came here.

00:25:26.660 And they obviously didn't get here

00:25:28.500 and immediately start a country.

00:25:31.240 This is a process of centuries,

00:25:34.380 building our civilization,

00:25:37.720 and then eventually our country,

00:25:40.000 then eventually founding our country.

00:25:41.440 But what is inarguably true

00:25:47.080 is that there was no country

00:25:49.060 when the European settlers got here.

00:25:51.960 The Native Americans,

00:25:53.400 again,

00:25:53.800 we're talking about primitive,

00:25:55.600 warring,

00:25:56.960 scattered tribes.

00:26:00.740 The majority of what is now our country

00:26:03.460 was empty space.

00:26:05.580 Wide,

00:26:06.160 wide,

00:26:06.540 open,

00:26:06.940 empty space.

00:26:07.380 And scattered throughout it

00:26:09.640 were these primitive,

00:26:10.880 warring tribes.

00:26:11.600 They didn't have a country 0.64

00:26:12.540 that they all got together

00:26:13.900 and made a country together.

00:26:14.860 No.

00:26:16.840 There was nothing

00:26:17.620 even resembling a country.

00:26:22.160 So that's nonsense.

00:26:24.660 So what happens

00:26:25.300 if you don't apologize to the left?

00:26:27.240 And,

00:26:27.380 you know,

00:26:28.060 basically,

00:26:29.220 if they're coming after you,

00:26:30.300 you have two choices.

00:26:31.400 And there's no reason

00:26:33.620 to go anywhere in between.

00:26:35.380 And one choice

00:26:36.460 is to flip them the bird

00:26:37.620 and say,

00:26:38.220 I don't care about your feelings

00:26:39.320 or I don't care that you're upset.

00:26:40.640 I said what I said.

00:26:41.440 I'm not going to apologize.

00:26:43.600 You know what?

00:26:44.200 Even if I was wrong,

00:26:45.220 I won't apologize to you.

00:26:46.260 How do you like them apples?

00:26:48.580 But I'm not wrong.

00:26:49.920 So,

00:26:50.420 you could do that.

00:26:52.300 That's my recommended path.

00:26:54.860 Or,

00:26:55.260 if you're not going to do that,

00:26:56.000 then you might as well go all the way,

00:26:58.500 get on your knees,

00:27:00.180 groveling,

00:27:01.400 crying,

00:27:02.500 begging for forgiveness.

00:27:04.440 You probably still won't get it,

00:27:06.760 but there's a chance,

00:27:08.240 maybe.

00:27:10.860 Anything in between,

00:27:12.240 it's really pointless.

00:27:14.280 Now you lose.

00:27:15.580 It's a lose-lose situation.

00:27:18.000 Because now,

00:27:18.840 like what Rick Santorum did,

00:27:20.760 you're not getting respect from,

00:27:22.460 you know,

00:27:24.440 the people who are on the

00:27:25.620 anti-cancel culture side of things,

00:27:27.600 like me.

00:27:28.580 We're not going to respect you.

00:27:29.840 Because you didn't really stick

00:27:31.800 to your guns.

00:27:33.280 But the cancel culture folks,

00:27:34.400 they're not going to accept you either.

00:27:35.520 They're still going to try to cancel you.

00:27:36.920 So,

00:27:37.220 what did you achieve?

00:27:38.120 Achieve nothing.

00:27:40.920 All right.

00:27:42.120 Moving on.

00:27:42.700 Number two here.

00:27:44.160 Caitlyn Jenner,

00:27:45.400 running for governor of California,

00:27:47.780 as I'm sure you've heard,

00:27:49.360 provided an answer

00:27:50.340 on the girls' sports issue

00:27:52.040 that has gotten a lot of attention.

00:27:53.740 And here is that answer.

00:27:55.100 Hi, Caitlyn.

00:27:56.740 So,

00:27:57.280 there's legislation in various states

00:27:58.720 to ban biological boys 0.98

00:28:00.260 who are trans 0.80

00:28:01.060 from playing girls' sports in school.

00:28:02.840 What's your opinion on that?

00:28:05.000 Uh,

00:28:07.760 in vaccine.

00:28:09.860 In.

00:28:12.900 This

00:28:13.460 is a

00:28:14.920 question of fairness.

00:28:17.900 That's why I oppose

00:28:19.220 biological boys 0.94

00:28:21.100 who are trans

00:28:21.900 competing in girls' sports

00:28:23.960 in school.

00:28:25.420 It just

00:28:26.100 isn't

00:28:27.300 fair.

00:28:29.120 And we have to protect

00:28:30.500 girls' sports

00:28:32.080 in our school.

00:28:32.460 But if someone transitions

00:28:33.580 and now identifies as a girl,

00:28:34.980 isn't it delegitimizing

00:28:36.040 their identity

00:28:36.640 to prevent them?

00:28:37.060 Have a good day.

00:28:39.020 That was a fine

00:28:40.180 answer.

00:28:42.060 I obviously

00:28:42.980 agree

00:28:43.740 with Jenner

00:28:45.320 on that point.

00:28:47.660 But,

00:28:48.120 predictably,

00:28:48.920 a lot of people on the right,

00:28:49.920 a lot of conservatives

00:28:50.500 are celebrating this

00:28:51.880 and say,

00:28:52.240 oh,

00:28:52.400 look at this.

00:28:53.040 Jenner's on our side.

00:28:53.960 What a powerful advocate.

00:28:56.100 What a powerful advocate

00:28:57.380 against the trans 1.00

00:28:58.200 agenda is

00:28:58.880 Caitlyn Jenner.

00:29:02.460 Keep something in mind here.

00:29:03.880 Okay,

00:29:04.000 I'm going to read to you.

00:29:05.380 This is a CNN article

00:29:06.680 from 2018.

00:29:08.600 Not all that long ago.

00:29:10.020 Just a few years.

00:29:12.160 Here's what CNN

00:29:13.220 had to say

00:29:13.900 based on

00:29:15.200 Caitlyn Jenner's own words

00:29:16.280 in 2018.

00:29:17.720 Reading from the article.

00:29:18.700 Okay.

00:29:19.620 It says,

00:29:20.040 Caitlyn Jenner says she,

00:29:21.280 and again,

00:29:21.660 I'm reading the CNN article.

00:29:23.000 This is their language

00:29:23.760 that I'm reading,

00:29:24.420 not my own

00:29:25.000 when it comes to the pronouns.

00:29:28.240 Caitlyn Jenner says

00:29:28.880 she made a mistake

00:29:29.700 in thinking she could work

00:29:30.940 with President Donald Trump

00:29:31.900 to benefit the LGBTQ community

00:29:33.780 and is now no longer

00:29:34.960 a Trump supporter.

00:29:36.380 In a Washington Post op-ed

00:29:37.360 published on Thursday,

00:29:39.080 by the way,

00:29:39.580 I wanted to read

00:29:40.140 the actual op-ed to you,

00:29:41.220 but it's behind a paywall

00:29:42.320 and I ain't paying for that.

00:29:43.800 So,

00:29:44.080 we got to settle with CNN.

00:29:46.080 Okay.

00:29:46.580 In a Washington Post op-ed

00:29:47.720 published Thursday,

00:29:48.660 Jenner said, 0.94

00:29:49.120 at first she believed

00:29:50.100 she could work with Trump

00:29:51.100 and Republicans

00:29:51.700 to change the party's stance

00:29:53.020 on LGBTQ issues.

00:29:55.360 Jenner wrote,

00:29:56.000 quote,

00:29:56.080 sadly,

00:29:56.460 I was wrong.

00:29:57.220 The reality is

00:29:57.840 that the trans community

00:29:58.580 is being relentlessly

00:29:59.420 attacked by this president.

00:30:01.460 She argued that Trump

00:30:02.200 has shown no regard

00:30:03.220 for an already marginalized

00:30:04.600 and struggling community.

00:30:07.360 Jenner wrote,

00:30:07.880 quote,

00:30:07.900 believe,

00:30:08.640 believing that I could work

00:30:09.480 with Trump and his administration

00:30:10.340 to support our community

00:30:11.180 was a mistake.

00:30:12.700 She pointed to

00:30:13.500 a New York Times report

00:30:14.960 that the Department of Health

00:30:15.820 and Human Services

00:30:16.260 has drafted a proposal

00:30:17.340 to define gender

00:30:18.340 under Title IX

00:30:19.180 as solely male or female

00:30:20.960 at birth

00:30:21.400 with no room for change.

00:30:23.460 Jenner said her hope

00:30:24.220 in Trump and Republicans

00:30:25.160 was misplaced

00:30:26.080 and that she cannot

00:30:27.360 support anyone

00:30:28.360 who is working

00:30:28.920 against our community.

00:30:30.240 I don't support Trump.

00:30:31.780 I must learn from my mistakes

00:30:33.040 and move forward.

00:30:35.060 Okay.

00:30:37.380 Now,

00:30:38.120 you might say

00:30:41.200 that the sports issue,

00:30:43.100 from what I could tell

00:30:43.740 based on the CNN report,

00:30:44.540 but anyway,

00:30:45.820 the sports issue

00:30:46.500 was not specifically

00:30:48.540 addressed in that op-ed,

00:30:50.380 but Jenner was coming out 1.00

00:30:53.760 forcefully in favor

00:30:55.160 of, quote,

00:30:55.580 trans rights,

00:30:56.600 and we know what that means.

00:30:58.220 You know,

00:30:58.380 anytime you hear trans rights

00:31:00.780 and advocating

00:31:01.400 for trans rights,

00:31:02.720 well,

00:31:03.520 it doesn't mean, like,

00:31:04.980 trans people

00:31:05.680 should have

00:31:06.660 First Amendment rights

00:31:07.860 and Second Amendment rights

00:31:08.680 because everyone agrees

00:31:10.280 with that.

00:31:10.600 Those aren't trans rights. 0.62

00:31:12.460 Those are everyone's rights.

00:31:13.900 No matter who you are.

00:31:17.620 So anytime you put

00:31:18.220 the qualifier in front of it,

00:31:20.380 something is wrong.

00:31:22.620 Same goes for women's rights. 1.00

00:31:26.160 You know,

00:31:26.400 you hear,

00:31:27.480 anytime you hear someone

00:31:28.280 advocate for women's rights

00:31:29.700 in modern society,

00:31:32.400 you can,

00:31:33.920 you know that whatever

00:31:34.760 they're about to say

00:31:35.440 is wrong

00:31:36.300 and bad

00:31:37.640 because women already have 1.00

00:31:39.680 in our society

00:31:40.420 all of the same rights

00:31:41.540 as men.

00:31:42.100 all of the same

00:31:43.200 legal rights.

00:31:44.020 All of them.

00:31:45.860 So if you're hearing

00:31:46.620 about something called

00:31:47.240 women's rights,

00:31:48.060 well,

00:31:48.160 now that means

00:31:48.620 that there's additional rights,

00:31:51.500 specific,

00:31:52.540 qualified rights

00:31:53.420 specifically for women

00:31:54.740 that they're advocating,

00:31:55.940 such as,

00:31:56.740 for example,

00:31:57.080 the right to kill 1.00

00:31:57.600 their children. 0.99

00:31:59.040 Men don't have that right. 1.00

00:32:00.060 That is a right

00:32:01.140 that only women have. 1.00

00:32:02.900 And so these days

00:32:03.560 when someone is advocating

00:32:04.200 for women's rights,

00:32:05.100 that's what they're advocating for.

00:32:06.200 Because,

00:32:08.860 again,

00:32:09.120 everyone has

00:32:10.260 all the same

00:32:11.200 basic rights

00:32:12.080 and protections.

00:32:12.920 We all do.

00:32:14.380 And I wish that we could

00:32:15.140 celebrate that

00:32:16.420 and be happy

00:32:17.920 and say,

00:32:18.960 you know,

00:32:19.260 we all have equal rights

00:32:20.100 in this country.

00:32:23.700 We've achieved it.

00:32:24.960 As much as we can hope

00:32:26.420 to ever achieve

00:32:27.020 something like that,

00:32:27.580 we've achieved it.

00:32:29.900 But no,

00:32:30.480 so when it comes

00:32:30.900 to trans rights,

00:32:33.360 trans people have 0.98

00:32:33.960 all the same

00:32:34.480 basic rights,

00:32:35.200 basic protections

00:32:36.000 under the law.

00:32:36.900 They even have the right

00:32:37.840 to participate in sports.

00:32:39.880 Despite how the media

00:32:40.880 frames it

00:32:41.560 and the media headlines,

00:32:42.700 no one is advocating

00:32:43.680 for bills

00:32:44.360 to ban trans people

00:32:45.620 from sports.

00:32:46.720 Nobody.

00:32:47.420 I have not heard

00:32:47.960 any single person

00:32:49.080 say that.

00:32:51.340 All we're saying

00:32:52.220 is that

00:32:52.680 if you're a biological male,

00:32:53.760 you play with the boys.

00:32:54.720 If you're a biological female, 1.00

00:32:56.260 you play with the girls.

00:32:57.320 And if you happen

00:32:58.280 to be trans,

00:32:59.200 whatever,

00:32:59.540 fine.

00:33:00.080 You know,

00:33:00.380 you can be trans,

00:33:01.280 you can identify

00:33:01.800 however you want.

00:33:04.060 But sports

00:33:04.880 is going to be

00:33:05.260 a discernment

00:33:05.600 based on biology.

00:33:07.060 That's it.

00:33:09.680 So again,

00:33:10.360 trans rights

00:33:11.120 means

00:33:12.580 advocating

00:33:13.700 for extra

00:33:14.600 additional rights.

00:33:18.960 And that's what

00:33:19.740 Jenner is advocating

00:33:20.780 for in this article.

00:33:21.940 That's what Jenner 0.82

00:33:22.440 has advocated for.

00:33:24.480 And now we're

00:33:25.220 supposed to believe

00:33:26.000 all of a sudden

00:33:27.640 he's

00:33:29.320 had a

00:33:30.180 change of heart

00:33:31.240 on this

00:33:31.640 and yet

00:33:33.280 still identifies

00:33:33.980 as trans himself.

00:33:36.540 Yeah,

00:33:37.000 I don't buy it

00:33:37.760 for a second.

00:33:38.620 I don't buy it

00:33:39.040 for a second.

00:33:39.400 And if you

00:33:39.840 actually think,

00:33:41.300 if you listen to that

00:33:42.040 and you believe

00:33:43.640 that Jenner

00:33:44.700 is now going to be

00:33:46.940 an effective

00:33:47.440 fighter against

00:33:48.500 and advocate

00:33:49.180 against

00:33:49.860 the left's agenda

00:33:52.000 on gender

00:33:52.760 and sexuality

00:33:53.280 and all that,

00:33:53.900 then naive

00:33:54.840 does not even

00:33:55.880 begin to describe you.

00:33:56.960 It really doesn't.

00:33:57.620 As conservatives,

00:34:00.020 you know,

00:34:00.220 we've got to be

00:34:00.880 smarter than this.

00:34:02.440 We need to

00:34:02.920 find

00:34:03.840 effective

00:34:06.000 advocates

00:34:07.400 for the

00:34:07.980 conservative cause.

00:34:10.380 Not poor

00:34:11.360 or mediocre

00:34:12.220 advocates

00:34:12.700 who happen to

00:34:13.320 check a few

00:34:13.860 of the identity

00:34:14.440 boxes.

00:34:15.160 Because that's

00:34:15.780 the strategy

00:34:16.300 we've been

00:34:16.620 trying to use

00:34:17.060 for years.

00:34:17.540 It doesn't

00:34:17.920 work.

00:34:20.160 So we'll say,

00:34:20.920 yeah,

00:34:21.200 this person

00:34:21.780 isn't that

00:34:22.520 great or

00:34:22.900 compelling

00:34:23.260 and it's

00:34:24.240 kind of

00:34:24.500 milquetoast

00:34:25.020 at best,

00:34:25.740 but,

00:34:26.000 you know,

00:34:26.400 they have

00:34:27.620 this or

00:34:27.980 that,

00:34:28.180 they fall

00:34:28.460 into this

00:34:28.760 or that

00:34:29.000 identity

00:34:29.340 category

00:34:29.860 and so

00:34:30.180 the left

00:34:30.580 will be

00:34:30.880 stumped.

00:34:31.400 They won't

00:34:31.620 know what

00:34:31.880 to do.

00:34:34.840 Doesn't

00:34:35.240 work.

00:34:36.760 The left

00:34:37.380 has already

00:34:37.840 disowned

00:34:39.120 Caitlyn

00:34:39.820 Jenner.

00:34:40.100 They did

00:34:40.280 that years

00:34:40.940 ago,

00:34:41.160 really.

00:34:42.660 They've

00:34:43.060 certainly

00:34:43.220 done it

00:34:43.520 now.

00:34:45.760 So whatever

00:34:46.480 you think,

00:34:47.060 whatever

00:34:47.240 conservative

00:34:47.760 cause you

00:34:48.580 think will

00:34:49.100 be more

00:34:49.600 powerful

00:34:50.200 coming out

00:34:51.780 of Caitlyn

00:34:52.400 Jenner's

00:34:52.720 mouth,

00:34:53.700 you're

00:34:54.500 wrong.

00:34:56.400 Okay,

00:34:56.840 you're

00:34:57.060 wrong.

00:34:58.140 What we

00:34:58.580 need are

00:34:58.860 people who

00:34:59.240 are just

00:34:59.540 powerful

00:35:00.180 advocates

00:35:00.680 of their

00:35:01.160 own

00:35:01.340 accord,

00:35:01.840 wherever

00:35:02.060 they fall

00:35:02.680 on the,

00:35:03.440 you know,

00:35:03.700 whatever their

00:35:04.400 demographics

00:35:05.400 are.

00:35:06.340 Powerful

00:35:06.820 advocates.

00:35:07.780 Caitlyn

00:35:08.020 Jenner is

00:35:08.560 not a

00:35:08.960 powerful

00:35:09.240 advocate

00:35:09.680 of anything,

00:35:11.860 least of

00:35:12.560 all the

00:35:12.800 conservative

00:35:13.200 cause.

00:35:15.900 All right,

00:35:17.400 Bill Gates

00:35:18.140 made an

00:35:18.600 announcement

00:35:18.920 yesterday.

00:35:19.480 Here's the

00:35:19.820 statement.

00:35:21.100 He says,

00:35:21.540 after a great

00:35:22.100 deal of thought

00:35:22.800 and a lot of

00:35:23.280 work on our

00:35:23.700 relationship,

00:35:24.340 we have made

00:35:24.740 the decision

00:35:25.120 to end our

00:35:25.700 marriage.

00:35:26.400 Over the

00:35:26.680 last 27

00:35:27.240 years,

00:35:27.720 we have

00:35:27.980 raised three

00:35:28.700 incredible

00:35:29.080 children and

00:35:29.680 built a

00:35:29.980 foundation that

00:35:30.600 works all

00:35:31.060 over the

00:35:31.340 world to

00:35:32.000 enable all

00:35:32.500 people to

00:35:32.900 lead healthy,

00:35:33.440 productive

00:35:33.700 lives.

00:35:34.740 We continue

00:35:35.460 to share

00:35:35.840 our belief

00:35:36.160 in that

00:35:36.400 mission and

00:35:36.760 we'll continue

00:35:37.100 our work

00:35:37.740 together at

00:35:38.220 the foundation,

00:35:38.620 but we no

00:35:39.100 longer believe

00:35:39.580 we can grow

00:35:40.100 together as

00:35:40.640 a couple in

00:35:41.180 this next

00:35:41.940 phase of our

00:35:42.600 lives.

00:35:43.100 We ask for

00:35:43.900 space and

00:35:44.500 privacy for

00:35:45.080 our family as

00:35:45.960 we begin to

00:35:46.540 navigate this

00:35:47.140 new life.

00:35:48.120 Now,

00:35:48.280 listen,

00:35:48.460 normally I

00:35:53.200 would say

00:35:53.620 people's

00:35:54.720 marriage

00:35:55.040 troubles,

00:35:56.260 even if

00:35:56.620 they're

00:35:56.720 famous,

00:35:57.280 none of

00:35:57.620 our

00:35:57.720 business,

00:35:58.180 what is

00:35:58.440 there to

00:35:58.860 say about

00:35:59.620 it?

00:35:59.740 We should

00:35:59.900 just butt 1.00

00:36:00.760 out.

00:36:00.960 But Bill

00:36:03.440 Gates has

00:36:04.720 no problem

00:36:05.520 imposing his

00:36:06.460 personal opinions

00:36:07.360 and views on

00:36:07.980 our lives.

00:36:08.740 He has no

00:36:09.400 problem using

00:36:09.920 his position

00:36:10.540 and his

00:36:10.940 wealth and

00:36:11.360 his power

00:36:11.900 to impose

00:36:12.900 on us.

00:36:13.260 He's been

00:36:13.480 doing it

00:36:13.720 all

00:36:13.840 throughout

00:36:14.020 the

00:36:14.200 pandemic.

00:36:17.320 He had

00:36:17.900 no problem

00:36:18.740 advocating,

00:36:20.180 using his

00:36:21.120 position to

00:36:21.520 advocate for

00:36:22.380 policies that

00:36:23.260 would wipe

00:36:23.680 out thousands

00:36:24.220 of businesses,

00:36:24.880 for example.

00:36:25.460 He's no

00:36:25.660 problem doing

00:36:26.080 that.

00:36:26.600 Now with

00:36:26.960 vaccines,

00:36:27.460 he has no

00:36:29.420 problem imposing

00:36:29.960 himself.

00:36:32.840 Certainly

00:36:33.280 having an

00:36:33.800 opinion about

00:36:34.500 you and I

00:36:35.220 as peons,

00:36:36.020 how we live

00:36:36.840 and the

00:36:37.060 choices that

00:36:37.500 we make.

00:36:39.280 And so in

00:36:39.780 that spirit,

00:36:40.640 I have no

00:36:41.100 problem in

00:36:41.680 this case having

00:36:42.460 an opinion

00:36:42.840 about,

00:36:43.260 him,

00:36:43.480 in his

00:36:43.700 life.

00:36:45.100 In fact,

00:36:45.580 I think it's

00:36:45.880 with all due

00:36:46.340 respect to

00:36:46.780 him.

00:36:48.540 He's not

00:36:49.120 one for

00:36:49.600 personal privacy,

00:36:50.600 clearly.

00:36:52.000 And so out of

00:36:53.000 respect for him,

00:36:53.840 I'm not going to

00:36:54.300 respect his

00:36:54.760 personal privacy.

00:36:55.780 And what I

00:36:56.340 will say is

00:36:57.040 that there is

00:36:57.600 nothing more 0.99

00:36:58.380 pathetic than 1.00

00:37:00.520 a couple after 0.99

00:37:01.320 three decades

00:37:01.940 of marriage,

00:37:03.120 now in their

00:37:04.320 mid to late

00:37:05.160 60s,

00:37:06.720 divorcing so

00:37:08.440 they can move

00:37:08.980 on to the

00:37:09.440 next phase of

00:37:10.060 their lives,

00:37:10.740 so they can

00:37:11.160 grow more

00:37:12.100 as people.

00:37:12.660 There is

00:37:14.940 nothing more

00:37:15.300 pitiful or 0.99

00:37:16.420 pathetic than 0.99

00:37:17.060 that. 0.97

00:37:19.380 I just will

00:37:20.940 never understand

00:37:21.660 it.

00:37:22.100 You've been

00:37:22.560 through three

00:37:23.180 decades.

00:37:25.500 You know,

00:37:25.840 you're in the

00:37:26.260 last part of

00:37:27.240 your life.

00:37:27.800 You might have

00:37:28.380 several more

00:37:28.820 years left,

00:37:29.300 you might have

00:37:29.680 a few decades

00:37:30.380 left, but

00:37:30.660 you're like,

00:37:31.480 this is the

00:37:32.400 last lap.

00:37:34.620 If this is a

00:37:35.200 mile race on

00:37:36.080 an Olympic

00:37:36.420 side track and

00:37:37.600 four laps

00:37:39.340 around,

00:37:39.740 you're like

00:37:40.280 the last

00:37:40.660 lap here.

00:37:43.720 And you

00:37:44.260 made it

00:37:44.580 through the

00:37:45.140 other laps

00:37:45.580 together,

00:37:46.040 why not?

00:37:48.300 That's how

00:37:48.840 you grow.

00:37:50.460 You don't

00:37:50.920 grow as a

00:37:51.600 person by

00:37:52.320 giving up.

00:37:53.560 This idea,

00:37:55.140 there's another

00:37:55.540 reason why I

00:37:56.200 have no problem

00:37:56.680 commenting on

00:37:57.300 this, because

00:37:57.620 it's a poisonous

00:37:58.520 idea that goes

00:37:59.420 far beyond

00:38:00.140 Bill Gates'

00:38:01.860 marriage.

00:38:03.540 The idea that

00:38:04.260 you can grow

00:38:04.940 as a person

00:38:06.260 by giving up

00:38:08.140 on your

00:38:09.080 vows, by

00:38:09.900 breaking your

00:38:10.580 promises, by

00:38:12.940 being disloyal

00:38:13.780 to each other,

00:38:14.480 that's going to

00:38:15.560 help you grow?

00:38:17.680 No, you

00:38:18.320 grow in this

00:38:20.360 final lap when

00:38:22.300 maybe you're

00:38:22.880 tired of each

00:38:23.320 other, whatever

00:38:23.820 you're going

00:38:24.200 through, there's

00:38:25.420 conflicts, you're

00:38:27.340 not seeing eye

00:38:27.800 to eye, maybe

00:38:29.820 you feel like

00:38:30.420 it's been a

00:38:30.780 loveless marriage

00:38:31.300 for a long

00:38:31.640 time, whatever

00:38:31.960 the case is.

00:38:34.080 You grow by

00:38:34.900 sticking with

00:38:35.460 each other,

00:38:36.560 you know, hand

00:38:37.100 in hand.

00:38:38.620 And you say, I

00:38:39.560 know you want

00:38:40.000 to quit, I

00:38:40.640 want to quit,

00:38:41.080 we're not going

00:38:41.620 to, we're going

00:38:41.980 to see this

00:38:43.000 through.

00:38:44.360 That's the

00:38:44.860 promise we

00:38:45.320 made, we're

00:38:45.960 going to finish

00:38:46.740 it, we're going

00:38:47.200 to finish the

00:38:47.640 job.

00:38:50.020 That's growth.

00:38:54.080 This is not

00:38:55.120 growth at all.

00:38:56.560 And now a

00:38:57.020 word from one

00:38:57.600 of our favorite

00:38:58.000 sponsors here on

00:38:58.980 the show,

00:38:59.420 rockauto.com.

00:39:05.020 as we get into the

00:39:05.660 warmer months, you

00:39:07.120 know, you want to

00:39:07.460 spend more time

00:39:08.120 outside, you want to

00:39:08.760 spend more time,

00:39:09.400 especially on the

00:39:09.760 weekend with your

00:39:10.300 family, you don't

00:39:10.860 want to be wasting

00:39:56.200 remember to write

00:39:56.740 Walsh in their

00:39:57.560 how did you hear

00:39:58.100 about us box, so

00:39:59.260 they know that we

00:39:59.740 sent you.

00:40:00.960 Let's move on now to

00:40:02.320 reading the YouTube

00:40:03.240 comments, this is from

00:40:04.520 Terrence, says, Matt,

00:40:06.220 wouldn't your belief in

00:40:07.060 UFOs disprove your

00:40:08.420 Catholic convictions?

00:40:10.480 I don't see how it

00:40:11.500 does at all, you know,

00:40:13.660 I know a lot of people

00:40:14.760 think that it does,

00:40:15.600 whether Catholic or

00:40:16.480 whatever, you know, I

00:40:17.940 know there are a lot of

00:40:18.640 Christians who think 0.97

00:40:20.860 that their religion

00:40:22.080 precludes them from

00:40:25.020 entertaining the idea

00:40:27.060 that there could be

00:40:27.500 other intelligent life

00:40:29.400 forms out there in the

00:40:31.280 physical universe, and

00:40:32.700 I just don't see that

00:40:33.860 as the case.

00:40:36.060 You know, this is one

00:40:38.220 of the many subjects

00:40:38.980 that the Bible doesn't

00:40:40.520 address, the Bible

00:40:41.340 doesn't say anything

00:40:41.820 about it, the Bible

00:40:42.180 never says that there

00:40:42.820 are no other

00:40:44.220 intelligent life forms

00:40:45.020 out there, it never

00:40:45.640 says that there are,

00:40:47.820 you know, that's, the

00:40:49.560 Bible's not interested in

00:40:51.480 that question, which

00:40:53.320 doesn't mean it's not

00:40:53.860 an interesting question

00:40:54.640 or an important one.

00:40:59.240 So, I think as

00:41:01.280 Christians, we can, we

00:41:02.880 can arrive at different

00:41:03.820 conclusions on it, but I

00:41:05.400 don't think that our

00:41:06.020 faith necessitates that

00:41:09.260 we arrive at one

00:41:09.880 conclusion or another.

00:41:12.200 And there's plenty of

00:41:13.220 precedent for that, by

00:41:14.240 the way, among, among

00:41:15.100 great Christian thinkers.

00:41:16.260 C.S.

00:41:16.600 Lewis famously

00:41:17.400 speculated about

00:41:19.960 intelligent life forms,

00:41:20.800 and he didn't think it

00:41:21.460 was out of the question

00:41:22.020 at all, so.

00:41:24.340 All right, Charles says,

00:41:25.640 I had to mash the

00:41:26.600 thumbs up button three

00:41:28.500 times for it to

00:41:29.600 register, and I'm just

00:41:30.620 feeding the algorithm.

00:41:32.320 Well, I guess that's why

00:41:32.820 they say you have to

00:41:33.740 smash it.

00:41:34.160 I never knew, like,

00:41:35.400 why do you, all the

00:41:36.180 YouTube people, they say

00:41:36.920 you have to smash the

00:41:37.680 like button.

00:41:39.180 I guess this is why, in

00:41:40.260 order to really, with

00:41:41.580 force, to make sure that

00:41:42.480 it registers.

00:41:44.960 Another comment says,

00:41:45.840 your argument for pit

00:41:46.700 bulls sounds similar to

00:41:48.000 an argument for gun

00:41:48.860 owners.

00:41:49.300 You could literally swap

00:41:50.280 the two.

00:41:51.520 I don't understand

00:41:53.020 this.

00:41:53.580 Here's another thing I

00:41:54.240 don't understand.

00:41:55.900 That is the argument

00:41:57.020 that I was addressing

00:42:00.340 yesterday.

00:42:01.860 I was explaining the

00:42:03.200 difference between gun

00:42:05.400 rights and your pit bull

00:42:06.600 rights.

00:42:08.740 And so what you're doing

00:42:09.720 is you're simply, you're

00:42:10.800 not, you're not

00:42:11.180 disputing my argument.

00:42:12.300 You're just restating the

00:42:13.920 argument that I was

00:42:14.720 attempting to debunk.

00:42:16.500 You're not adding any

00:42:17.640 additional arguments or

00:42:18.540 making any point.

00:42:19.100 You're restating it.

00:42:22.460 This is how arguments go

00:42:23.600 on the internet all the

00:42:24.660 time.

00:42:26.480 Somebody makes a

00:42:27.400 statement, you know, I

00:42:29.400 say, oh, I disagree with

00:42:31.080 that statement for X, Y,

00:42:32.320 Z reason.

00:42:33.780 And you get a whole bunch

00:42:34.560 of comments from people

00:42:35.220 who are, no, I don't

00:42:36.340 think so.

00:42:36.660 And then they just

00:42:37.420 restate the statement.

00:42:40.460 You think that's how an

00:42:41.260 argument goes?

00:42:43.640 We keep shouting

00:42:45.060 assertions at each other

00:42:46.120 back and forth.

00:42:46.880 Whoever stops talking

00:42:47.920 first loses?

00:42:48.700 Is that the way you

00:42:49.160 think this goes?

00:42:50.780 Banned from the show.

00:42:52.540 Well, thanks for the

00:42:53.140 comment and for

00:42:53.780 listening.

00:42:55.520 Let's see.

00:42:56.260 Mrs. Hancock says, in

00:42:57.080 2019, 33 of 46 fatal

00:42:59.440 dog attacks were

00:43:00.240 committed by pit bulls.

00:43:02.620 Well, you know, that's

00:43:05.000 not enough to convince

00:43:05.720 people there's a problem

00:43:06.440 though, I guess.

00:43:07.880 Maybe it's got to be 46

00:43:08.800 of 46.

00:43:11.660 Sasha says, hey, Matt,

00:43:12.880 you know I love you.

00:43:13.760 I don't have to remind

00:43:14.660 you of that, but it's my

00:43:15.540 last day at work for

00:43:16.500 Home Depot, been there

00:43:17.860 for two years and I'm

00:43:18.820 joining a different

00:43:19.360 company.

00:43:20.720 I just need to get your

00:43:21.720 approval for playing your

00:43:22.720 show on the PA system

00:43:23.920 for my last day.

00:43:26.160 Make some leftist ears

00:43:27.760 bleed of truth.

00:43:29.000 Does this sound too

00:43:29.940 rash?

00:43:30.280 Well, I cannot tell you

00:43:33.200 to do that.

00:43:36.500 I also will not tell you

00:43:37.960 to not do that.

00:43:40.400 That's all I'll say.

00:43:41.340 And finally, says, Matt,

00:43:47.760 I was really waiting for

00:43:48.720 you to be edgy and

00:43:49.760 include the fifth, fifth

00:43:52.280 option when it comes to

00:43:53.060 where the UFOs are coming

00:43:53.820 from, and I think most

00:43:54.920 plausible option, but it's

00:43:56.260 actually demons posing as

00:43:58.260 aliens.

00:43:59.220 I mean, the mass

00:43:59.800 deception would be so

00:44:00.760 easy to pass off once the

00:44:02.000 rapture happens.

00:44:02.740 Why, as a Christian, could 0.99

00:44:03.980 you see space creatures as

00:44:05.420 more plausible than Satan

00:44:06.760 and his fallen angels,

00:44:07.980 which we know are in fact

00:44:09.260 real?

00:44:09.660 So, this is another one

00:44:11.580 I don't, I guess that's

00:44:12.380 the theme of the show

00:44:13.080 today.

00:44:13.460 I don't understand.

00:44:14.160 I don't understand this

00:44:14.640 one either.

00:44:16.180 Why would we, why would

00:44:18.920 Satan and the devils be

00:44:21.060 flying around in crafts

00:44:22.620 in the sky, picked up on

00:44:24.700 radar, just darting around

00:44:26.200 and then they're gone?

00:44:26.880 Like, I don't understand

00:44:29.580 that theory.

00:44:30.440 I don't get where that's

00:44:31.840 coming from.

00:44:32.440 Why, why would we assume

00:44:34.980 that?

00:44:37.360 I hear that a lot.

00:44:38.700 I hear that a lot.

00:44:39.380 As, as, as speculation.

00:44:41.540 And I admit, you know, we

00:44:42.940 could put that on the list

00:44:43.840 of possibilities.

00:44:44.820 Really, the list of

00:44:45.620 possibilities is, is there

00:44:47.200 are probably hundreds of

00:44:48.240 items on the list, some

00:44:49.440 more probable than others.

00:44:50.460 I would put that on the

00:44:51.240 less probable end of the

00:44:53.260 spectrum, just because I

00:44:54.460 don't know.

00:44:55.800 I certainly never imagined

00:44:56.960 angels flying around an

00:44:58.460 actual aircraft.

00:45:00.640 I wouldn't think they

00:45:01.560 would need that.

00:45:02.460 So, that's my problem

00:45:04.100 with that.

00:45:05.100 I'm sure you guys have

00:45:05.680 noticed that the Daily

00:45:06.320 Wire has been growing

00:45:07.300 like crazy.

00:45:08.080 You know, not only did we

00:45:09.200 move the entire company

00:45:10.540 across the country, but we

00:45:11.600 also released our first

00:45:13.000 feature film.

00:45:13.720 We struck up a movie deal

00:45:14.620 with Gina Carano.

00:45:15.660 We started the new talk

00:45:17.180 show hosted by Candace

00:45:18.080 Owens. 0.95

00:45:18.360 And this is all in the

00:45:18.900 first six months, at least

00:45:21.020 in the last six months, ever

00:45:22.300 since we got to Nashville.

00:45:23.040 So, just imagine what else

00:45:24.940 is going to happen, what the

00:45:25.980 future has in store for us

00:45:28.320 and you as an audience.

00:45:29.500 We've been moving at

00:45:30.420 light speed over here, and so

00:45:31.740 I'm so excited for the

00:45:32.520 future of the company, and

00:45:33.340 we're grateful for all of

00:45:34.440 you for supporting the

00:45:35.100 company.

00:45:35.300 But we want to make sure

00:45:36.400 that we continue to include

00:45:37.500 you in our future plans.

00:45:38.960 So, every day on my show, I

00:45:39.800 talk about a lot of

00:45:40.740 different sponsors, a lot of

00:45:42.220 great sponsors and products

00:45:43.620 and services from our

00:45:44.520 sponsors that I love and

00:45:45.920 use.

00:45:46.540 But we want to get to know

00:45:47.260 you better so we can

00:45:48.280 choose our sponsors with you

00:45:49.720 in mind.

00:45:50.340 So, please go to

00:45:51.120 dailywire.com slash Walsh

00:45:53.240 and fill out my audience

00:45:54.800 survey to tell us a little

00:45:55.780 bit more about yourself.

00:45:56.640 And the good news is, you

00:45:57.820 should just do it because

00:45:58.840 it's the right thing to do

00:45:59.620 and I'm asking you to.

00:46:01.300 But, if that's not good

00:46:02.460 enough, and it probably

00:46:03.240 isn't, you also can enter

00:46:05.280 to win a $1,000 gift card

00:46:07.280 if you go, again, to

00:46:08.060 dailywire.com slash Walsh

00:46:09.440 and go there now and

00:46:10.980 fill that out.

00:46:11.800 Also, if you haven't

00:46:12.400 checked out Candace yet,

00:46:13.360 tonight's the night to do

00:46:14.080 it.

00:46:14.260 Not only is it premiering

00:46:15.480 live for free, but her

00:46:17.040 special guest is none other

00:46:18.280 than Donald Trump.

00:46:19.560 They discuss everything

00:46:20.220 from big tech censorship to

00:46:21.440 what Trump's future might

00:46:22.720 hold. 0.96

00:46:23.220 So, it's not a conversation

00:46:24.120 you're going to want to

00:46:24.680 miss.

00:46:25.280 Candace is free during the

00:46:26.220 premiere, but will only be

00:46:27.320 available to members after

00:46:28.440 it ends.

00:46:29.460 So, catch it live tonight at

00:46:30.780 9 p.m.

00:46:31.220 Eastern, 8 p.m.

00:46:31.760 Central, only on dailywire.com.

00:46:33.740 If you still haven't

00:46:34.340 subscribed, this is the

00:46:35.600 last week to get 25% off

00:46:37.520 with code Candace before

00:46:38.640 the deal ends on May 6th.

00:46:40.260 Though, again, last chance,

00:46:42.220 go to dailywire.com slash

00:46:44.740 subscribe and use code

00:46:46.200 Candace for 25% off. 0.97

00:46:48.900 Now, let's get to our

00:46:49.460 daily cancellation.

00:46:53.480 And yet another old

00:46:54.680 Disney film finds itself

00:46:55.880 on the chopping block.

00:46:56.640 This time, it's Snow White

00:46:57.660 and the Seven Dwarfs.

00:46:59.140 The path to cancellation

00:47:00.000 begins with the recent

00:47:01.280 reopening of Disneyland.

00:47:02.340 I don't have to reiterate

00:47:03.120 my general view of theme

00:47:04.720 parks, especially ones

00:47:05.620 owned and operated by

00:47:06.440 Disney.

00:47:06.820 I'll only say that if

00:47:07.720 Disney World is hell on

00:47:08.700 earth, which it is, I can

00:47:10.240 only imagine what

00:47:11.040 Disneyland must be like.

00:47:13.000 Disneyland is the

00:47:13.640 knockoff version of hell.

00:47:14.900 It somehow manages to be a

00:47:15.900 downgrade from hell.

00:47:16.980 It's like going from a

00:47:17.620 Comfort Inn to a Motel 6

00:47:18.840 or from a McDonald's to a

00:47:20.400 Burger King. 1.00

00:47:21.620 But that's not the point

00:47:22.260 here.

00:47:22.440 The point is that the

00:47:23.160 website SFGate, owned

00:47:25.100 by the San Francisco

00:47:25.800 Chronicle, published a

00:47:28.500 review of the new

00:47:29.620 Disneyland experience, it

00:47:31.360 was mostly positive, but

00:47:32.340 it did include this bit

00:47:33.500 about the Snow White

00:47:35.080 ride.

00:47:36.000 It said, quote,

00:47:36.620 The new grand finale of

00:47:39.580 Snow White's Enchanted

00:47:40.600 Wish is the moment when

00:47:41.980 the prince finds Snow

00:47:43.080 White asleep under the

00:47:44.040 evil queen's spell and

00:47:45.220 gives her a true love's

00:47:46.340 kiss to release her from 0.86

00:47:47.620 the enchantment.

00:47:48.700 A kiss he gives to her

00:47:49.720 without her consent while

00:47:50.840 she's asleep, which

00:47:51.840 cannot possibly be true

00:47:52.840 love if only one person

00:47:53.840 knows it's happening.

00:47:55.080 Haven't we already

00:47:55.600 agreed that consent in

00:47:56.540 early Disney movies is a

00:47:57.620 major issue?

00:47:58.620 That teaching kids that

00:47:59.740 kissing when it hasn't

00:48:00.620 been established if both

00:48:01.540 parties are willing to

00:48:02.360 engage is not okay?

00:48:04.160 It's hard to understand

00:48:05.280 why the Disneyland of

00:48:06.240 2021 would choose to

00:48:07.480 add a scene with such

00:48:08.760 old-fashioned ideas of

00:48:10.120 what a man is allowed to 0.72

00:48:11.080 do to a woman, especially 1.00

00:48:12.300 when the company's current

00:48:13.220 emphasis on removing

00:48:14.640 problematic scenes from

00:48:15.640 rides like Jungle Cruise

00:48:17.040 and Splash Mountain.

00:48:18.420 Why not reimagine an

00:48:19.660 ending in keeping with

00:48:20.540 the spirit of the movie

00:48:21.380 and Snow White's place in

00:48:22.980 the Disney canon, but that

00:48:23.960 avoids this problem?

00:48:24.840 Yes, and what a

00:48:28.140 problem it is.

00:48:29.180 Lots of bigoted right

00:48:30.140 wingers have been making

00:48:31.200 fun of this passage in

00:48:32.300 the article, but I don't

00:48:33.120 see what's so funny.

00:48:33.960 They raise a good point.

00:48:34.720 Snow White was actually

00:48:36.340 not only sleeping, but it

00:48:37.420 was believed that she was

00:48:38.140 dead, right?

00:48:39.400 It's been a while since

00:48:39.940 I've seen the movie, but

00:48:40.600 she was dead.

00:48:41.720 I mean, they thought she

00:48:42.440 was dead.

00:48:43.500 The dwarves put her in a 1.00

00:48:44.460 coffin until the prince

00:48:46.840 shows up and begins to 1.00

00:48:48.100 sexually assault a woman 0.96

00:48:49.180 that he believes to be 0.99

00:48:50.040 dead.

00:48:50.320 This is normalization of

00:48:51.480 necrophilia as well as

00:48:53.060 rape culture. 1.00

00:48:53.540 And what about those 0.89

00:48:55.220 dwarves?

00:48:56.020 We're just going to

00:48:56.660 leave aside the fact that

00:48:57.540 they attempted no form of

00:48:58.660 resuscitation, no first

00:49:00.660 aid of any kind, before

00:49:02.880 deciding to put her in a

00:49:03.820 coffin and leave her for 1.00

00:49:04.700 dead? 0.99

00:49:06.020 Well, I mean, wasn't she,

00:49:06.840 if she was just sleeping,

00:49:07.700 she was breathing.

00:49:10.380 They didn't even try to

00:49:11.240 splash in some cold water

00:49:12.560 in her face or something? 0.99

00:49:14.580 Put her in a glass coffin 0.98

00:49:16.160 that was exactly the right

00:49:18.000 size, I might add.

00:49:19.420 Did they just have that

00:49:20.120 lying around?

00:49:20.720 They invite a woman into 0.66

00:49:23.220 the house and they have a

00:49:24.800 coffin her size waiting

00:49:26.360 outside for her?

00:49:28.560 These troubling questions

00:49:29.660 go unanswered.

00:49:31.100 That's all to say nothing

00:49:31.740 of the fact that none of

00:49:32.540 the dwarves, to my

00:49:33.300 knowledge, were voiced by

00:49:34.560 actual dwarves, just as a

00:49:36.520 magic mirror was not

00:49:37.440 voiced by an actual magic

00:49:38.560 mirror or even a regular

00:49:39.460 mirror.

00:49:41.220 Representation matters and

00:49:42.280 Snow White gets it wrong on 0.99

00:49:43.500 that front time and time

00:49:44.420 again.

00:49:45.740 Now, what about Snow White

00:49:46.560 herself?

00:49:46.960 Now, not to victim blame,

00:49:49.460 but she's in her kitchen one 0.98

00:49:50.640 day when a random, creepy 0.99

00:49:52.940 old hag shows up at the 1.00

00:49:54.520 window, giggling maniacally 0.99

00:49:57.200 and pushing a piece of fruit

00:49:59.120 into her face and telling her

00:50:00.200 to take a bite.

00:50:01.560 And she does?

00:50:03.520 Can you imagine someone

00:50:04.480 knocking on your door and

00:50:06.680 they've got an evil smirk and

00:50:08.180 they say, hey, I got an apple

00:50:09.080 for you.

00:50:10.280 Why don't you take a bite?

00:50:12.220 And you say, well, gee, I am

00:50:13.360 kind of hungry.

00:50:14.020 Chomp.

00:50:14.320 What kind of food safety

00:50:16.660 message does that send to

00:50:17.760 our kids?

00:50:19.440 Suffice it to say, there's

00:50:20.340 plenty of reasons to cancel

00:50:21.340 Snow White and not just

00:50:22.360 her.

00:50:22.560 Let's get it all over with.

00:50:23.520 Why trickle the cancellations

00:50:24.740 out?

00:50:24.880 Let's do them all at once.

00:50:26.580 Why hasn't Aladdin been

00:50:27.580 canceled yet?

00:50:28.580 Yeah, they remade it and

00:50:29.600 injected some, you know,

00:50:30.580 additional wokeness into the

00:50:31.720 screenplay.

00:50:32.540 But the whole premise of the

00:50:33.640 movie is one that normalizes

00:50:34.880 and romanticizes forced labor.

00:50:37.120 The genie is a slave in

00:50:38.560 bondage, imprisoned in a

00:50:40.040 tiny cell and has to sing

00:50:42.420 and dance and perform tricks.

00:50:44.320 In order to win his

00:50:45.240 freedom.

00:50:46.740 It's no wonder there are so 0.92

00:50:47.740 many white supremacists in 0.87

00:50:48.720 this country when they've

00:50:49.420 grown up on movies that

00:50:50.560 normalize the enslavement of

00:50:52.720 people of color, specifically

00:50:54.400 the color blue in this case,

00:50:55.660 but still.

00:50:57.020 Also, The Lion King.

00:50:58.380 It celebrates autocracy through

00:51:00.140 the problematic benevolent

00:51:01.380 dictator trope embodied by

00:51:02.780 Mufasa.

00:51:03.860 Meanwhile, the marginalized

00:51:05.280 hyenas are cast out into the 1.00

00:51:06.780 dark lands.

00:51:07.840 And when Scar, the Marxist

00:51:08.880 revolutionary, leads the

00:51:10.300 hyenas in a class uprising,

00:51:11.660 it's cast by the film as a

00:51:12.900 nightmarish event.

00:51:15.120 The audience is meant to

00:51:16.240 cheer when the privileged

00:51:17.200 son, Simba, returns from his

00:51:18.640 sabbatical to claim the

00:51:19.600 throne. 1.00

00:51:21.260 Kills the revolutionaries. 1.00

00:51:23.340 Throws them into a fire. 1.00

00:51:25.500 The whole thing is highly

00:51:26.540 offensive and problematic.

00:51:28.680 What about Pinocchio?

00:51:30.240 The film ruthlessly reinforces

00:51:32.300 the gender binary by revolving

00:51:34.360 around Pinocchio's desire to be

00:51:36.640 a, quote, real boy.

00:51:38.040 Now, a simple change here would

00:51:40.720 have turned it from a bigoted

00:51:42.580 hate fest into a true artistic

00:51:44.200 triumph.

00:51:46.180 Pinocchio would have needed only

00:51:47.340 to transition into rather than a

00:51:48.880 real boy, a girl, or a

00:51:52.000 trisexual polygamist, or even 0.81

00:51:54.260 just simply a pansexual, lesbian,

00:51:56.360 non-binary, semi-female, gender

00:51:58.400 queer Starbucks barista.

00:52:00.900 Why not that?

00:52:02.380 But there's no salvaging it now.

00:52:03.560 Pinocchio should be canceled.

00:52:05.260 Beauty and the Beast needs to face

00:52:06.820 consequences to it.

00:52:07.640 The one good thing about that

00:52:08.640 movie is that it has a very

00:52:09.940 progressive attitude towards sex.

00:52:11.980 Belle enters into a romantic

00:52:13.220 and consensual, for the most

00:52:15.540 part.

00:52:15.720 I mean, she was imprisoned by

00:52:16.800 the guy, so.

00:52:18.840 But aside from that, a romantic

00:52:21.100 and consensual bestiality

00:52:22.360 relationship with the Beast, and

00:52:23.540 that's, you know, very

00:52:24.140 progressive, very enlightened.

00:52:25.780 Surely that should be

00:52:26.660 applauded, but the rest of it is

00:52:27.880 profoundly objectionable.

00:52:30.000 Consider the teapot character.

00:52:31.980 A woman is made into a 1.00

00:52:35.700 literal object.

00:52:37.520 It is the most blatant case of

00:52:39.160 objectification ever put to film.

00:52:41.300 And that's nothing compared to the

00:52:42.700 other character, the feather

00:52:44.060 duster.

00:52:44.980 If you can believe it, the movie

00:52:47.140 depicts not only a woman turned

00:52:48.640 into an object, but the object is

00:52:50.980 an actual feather duster.

00:52:53.320 Now, any old misogynist will say

00:52:54.940 that women should do the 1.00

00:52:56.180 cleaning, but it takes misogyny on 1.00

00:52:57.800 steroids to suggest that women 1.00

00:52:59.640 should actually be the cleaning

00:53:01.360 supplies.

00:53:03.000 My God.

00:53:05.080 Cancel Beauty and the Beast.

00:53:06.560 Cancel them all.

00:53:07.440 You know, we need to move past

00:53:08.340 movies as a society.

00:53:09.900 If you want to be entertained,

00:53:11.680 just stare at a blank TV screen.

00:53:13.440 That's what I do.

00:53:15.100 Create your own movies in your

00:53:16.360 head.

00:53:17.880 You know, last night I sat for

00:53:18.920 three hours and I stared at my

00:53:20.180 screen and I imagined that I was

00:53:21.420 watching an action film about a 0.92

00:53:23.900 black, disabled, lesbian, trans 0.99

00:53:25.440 woman beating up oil executives 1.00

00:53:27.460 and NRA lobbyists.

00:53:28.900 Hollywood thinks it's woke, but it

00:53:31.400 isn't woke enough to make that

00:53:32.280 movie yet.

00:53:33.580 Maybe it never will be.

00:53:35.580 And so for now, Disney is

00:53:37.540 canceled.

00:53:38.540 All Disney movies are canceled.

00:53:40.580 All other movies are canceled.

00:53:42.860 It's all canceled.

00:53:45.280 And that will do it for us today.
