00:00:00.000 Today on the Matt Wall Show, as more school boards across the country adopt radical pro-transgender policies,
00:00:05.440 it's time that I think we take a step back and trace the roots of this madness.
00:00:09.120 We know that our country has gone insane and that the insanity is being especially foisted upon our children.
00:00:13.580 But how did we end up this way? Where did it begin? Who did it begin with?
00:00:16.600 Today, we'll discuss the two men who started it all.
00:00:19.040 Also, doctors in Florida walk out of the job in protest against patients who aren't vaccinated.
00:00:24.220 And the government has investigated itself and decided that it didn't do anything wrong when Ashley Babbitt was shot in the Capitol,
00:00:31.460 though they still won't tell us who shot her. So that sounds perfectly fine.
00:00:35.020 And a viral trend has people suffering devastating head injuries while trying to climb milk crates.
00:00:40.240 It is very hilarious. I mean, troubling.
00:00:42.340 Finally, in our daily cancellation, we'll discuss the revolutionary new social movement called Lying Flat,
00:00:47.240 in which people just lie around all day doing nothing.
00:00:50.720 All of that and more today on the Matt Wall Show.
00:00:54.220 This month, following a summer full of argument and contention over the issue,
00:01:05.800 the Loudoun County School Board in Virginia voted to adopt one of the widest reaching
00:01:09.900 and most permissive transgender policies in the nation.
00:01:13.100 Upon this decree from the seven perverts on the board over the protests of the two normal rational peoples,
00:01:18.400 a seven to two vote, males will now be allowed in the female bathrooms
00:01:22.760 and on to female sports teams and vice versa.
00:01:25.840 But the policy goes even further than that, as teachers and faculty will be mandated
00:01:29.860 to refer to students by their preferred pronouns.
00:01:33.160 Now, given that the preferred pronoun of a gender-confused child can change on a daily,
00:01:37.720 if not hourly basis these days, teachers will have to spend, I guess, an exorbitant amount of time
00:01:42.580 keeping up with their students' ever-evolving sense of self or face unspecified consequences.
00:01:48.400 Though we can easily imagine what the consequences will be as we need only look to the example
00:01:53.360 of Loudoun County physical education teacher Tanner Cross, who was suspended after stating
00:01:58.080 at a school board meeting that he will not call students by pronouns that don't align with
00:02:03.560 their biological sex.
00:02:04.980 So he merely announced his intention to use proper pronouns, and for that he was suspended.
00:02:11.820 Now, a judge eventually ruled that Cross had to be reinstated because the school violated
00:02:17.260 his First Amendment rights, and of course it did, but the district is appealing the decision
00:02:21.760 because nobody who recognizes and respects biological reality is welcome in their schools,
00:02:27.580 they have declared.
00:02:28.760 Even the gym teachers have to toe the line.
00:02:31.680 Of course, Loudoun County is far from the first, and even farther from the last, school district
00:02:36.880 to codify this insanity into their handbooks, nearly all schools, public and private, are
00:02:42.900 caught up in this cultural tide, and they have the media helping them along.
00:02:46.560 Indeed, the CNN article about the Loudoun County decision contains the sort of paragraph that
00:02:51.180 we're accustomed to reading these days, but would have seemed bewildering and shocking had
00:02:56.300 it appeared in a mainstream news article even just eight or nine years ago.
00:03:00.220 CNN reports this.
00:03:01.140 Let me read from their article.
00:03:01.880 It says, Advocates have called biological sex, quote-unquote, an oversimplistic and misleading
00:03:08.000 term that refers to the sex as listed on students' original birth certificates.
00:03:11.940 While sex is a category that refers broadly to physiology, a person's gender is an innate
00:03:16.420 sense of identity.
00:03:17.880 The factors that go into determining the sex listed on a person's birth certificate may include
00:03:22.060 anatomy, genetics, and hormones, and there is broad natural variation in each of these categories.
00:03:28.100 Oh, biology is misleading, they say.
00:03:30.500 We are already past the days when only gender was considered fluid.
00:03:35.840 Biological sex now finds itself on the spectrum as well.
00:03:39.900 This is the message, as we know, not only from the news media and the state and school systems,
00:03:44.420 but from the shows and films our children watch at the youngest ages.
00:03:48.920 Every week, it seems, another formerly beloved children's program decides to repackage itself
00:03:53.960 as an agent of sexual indoctrination.
00:03:56.100 The latest in line is the kids' musical group The Wiggles.
00:04:00.500 Now, originally, this group is from Australia, but it has fans all over the world, including
00:04:04.220 my own children.
00:04:05.900 Though that will change now.
00:04:07.020 They are no longer fans of The Wiggles and will never watch another Wiggle thing ever again.
00:04:10.700 The Wiggles have been around for decades and mostly produced a bunch of silly and frankly
00:04:14.700 kind of annoying songs about fruit salad and various marine creatures and so on.
00:04:19.080 But this week, The Wiggles unveiled a YouTube show called Fruit Salad TV with a newly expanded
00:04:25.400 cast of what they say are diverse and inclusive characters.
00:04:30.600 One of the additions is a non-binary unicorn who uses they-them pronouns.
00:04:35.620 Here's the Wiggles pirate Captain Feathersword introducing the gender-fluid character to the kids.
00:04:41.080 There's one last friend that loves to be around the SS Feathersword.
00:04:46.720 Now, here they come right now.
00:04:50.980 It's Shirley Sean the Unicorn.
00:04:53.380 And Shirley Sean has their own boat.
00:04:56.060 Ho, ho, ho, ho.
00:04:57.160 Whoa.
00:04:58.660 Ahoy there, Captain.
00:05:01.540 Scrumptious.
00:05:02.820 That's what Shirley Sean likes to say.
00:05:05.700 Scrumptious.
00:05:06.680 Ho, ho, ho, ho.
00:05:08.600 Scrumptious.
00:05:09.840 All right.
00:05:11.200 Has their own boat.
00:05:12.900 You can tell how unnatural it feels for this guy.
00:05:15.460 I mean, the guy dressed up in the pirate suit as well.
00:05:16.960 It looks like he's in his 60s or something.
00:05:19.320 And, uh, but he's going along with it.
00:05:21.140 You can always tell with these people when they, when they, it feels wrong to them, but
00:05:25.300 they're doing it anyway.
00:05:26.820 Uh, and they did clarify, the Wiggles did clarify that, uh, this was not Captain Feathersword
00:05:31.380 having a stroke and, you know, using the wrong words.
00:05:34.080 No, he, he, he used the there intentionally, they, them, because this is a non-binary unicorn.
00:05:37.980 They were, they were, they clarified that very clearly.
00:05:40.860 Now, I think we make two critical mistakes when we see how this agenda has infiltrated
00:05:45.740 every area of society, especially those areas that children happen to occupy.
00:05:50.460 The first is in thinking that we've reached the bottom and it can't possibly get worse.
00:05:55.320 It can, and it will.
00:05:57.420 The second is in thinking that all of this madness began a few years ago with roots that
00:06:02.680 trace no further back than perhaps sometime during the Obama administration or something.
00:06:06.920 Both of these assumptions are wildly wrong.
00:06:10.360 In fact, we need to understand that the left sexual agenda is not making its way down to
00:06:14.600 kids now as a matter of happenstance or because we've suddenly reached that point on the slippery
00:06:19.340 slope.
00:06:19.880 On the contrary, this agenda was designed from the very beginning to prey upon corrupt and
00:06:27.340 destroy children.
00:06:28.360 This is all by design.
00:06:30.780 Kids have always been the target.
00:06:32.520 It's not a conspiracy theory.
00:06:35.580 It is the truth and I'll prove it.
00:06:37.960 What we're witnessing now in schools and in children's entertainment is the culmination,
00:06:42.400 or maybe I should say continuation, of a plan that was hatched decades ago.
00:06:46.900 It was always supposed to go this way.
00:06:49.220 Kids have been in the crosshairs from day one.
00:06:52.200 The sexualization of children is not a logical extension of this agenda.
00:06:55.680 It's one of its central points and purposes.
00:06:59.540 Nearly everything the left says about gender and sexuality today, nearly everything that's
00:07:03.520 taught in schools, implanted into young minds by non-binary children's characters and so
00:07:08.620 forth, can be traced back specifically to two men about 70 or 80 years ago.
00:07:13.800 Now, of course, no bad ideas can really have a definitive start date or birthplace.
00:07:19.680 The person who comes up with the idea was always influenced by someone before them and that
00:07:23.780 person by someone before them and on and on and on.
00:07:26.000 Back to the Garden of Eden.
00:07:28.820 I say that all this began with two men, but I mean, you could go back to the 19th century
00:07:32.440 with Sigmund Freud or his successor, Wilhelm Reich.
00:07:35.400 There are a number of men, and they are almost all men, by the way, who could lay claim to the
00:07:41.800 title of father, godfather, grandfather, maybe granduncle of the sexual revolution.
00:07:46.360 Still, I think it's indisputable that we would not be where we are today without the contributions
00:07:51.820 of Alfred Kinsey and John Money.
00:07:54.840 Now, you've heard me talk about John Money before.
00:07:57.000 He was the, just a review, he was the psychologist who first invented concepts like gender identity
00:08:02.120 and gender role.
00:08:03.240 Those terms didn't exist.
00:08:04.400 The concepts didn't exist before him.
00:08:06.340 He also coined the term sexual orientation.
00:08:09.960 Money was the first or among the first to identify gender as a human category distinct from
00:08:14.840 sex.
00:08:16.600 That didn't exist before the era of John Money.
00:08:20.000 There was only sex, and then gender was a linguistic term.
00:08:22.880 It was, you know, words had gender.
00:08:25.020 The idea that people have a gender was a new thing that he helped to pioneer.
00:08:29.800 He believed that your self-identification as either a man or woman was determined by society.
00:08:34.360 These were artificial constructs by his telling.
00:08:36.740 If it sounds like the modern left has taken Money's ideas and just turned them into religious
00:08:40.480 gospel unchanged, one which may not be questioned or criticized,
00:08:44.520 that's because that's exactly what they did.
00:08:47.740 Almost everything they take as self-evident about gender was theorized by one single guy
00:08:53.320 named John Money.
00:08:55.240 Problem is that he never proved any of this, though he did try.
00:08:59.840 When a little boy named Bruce Reimer suffered a botched circumcision, effectively destroying
00:09:03.700 his penis, John Money recommended that his parents raise him as a girl, because why not?
00:09:07.680 Gender is a social construct.
00:09:09.380 The parents went along with the plan, and all the while, they brought Bruce and his twin
00:09:12.680 brother, Brian, to Money's office for regular sessions.
00:09:16.600 And during these sessions, John Money forced the boys to simulate sex acts on each other.
00:09:21.080 He had them take off their clothes for genital inspections, quote-unquote, as he called them.
00:09:25.580 He photographed the boys naked.
00:09:28.040 And Money called this childhood sexual rehearsal play.
00:09:31.980 Money was, unsurprisingly, an apologist for pedophilia and had stated that a loving, quote-unquote,
00:09:36.160 sexual relationship between a man and a boy should not be considered immoral.
00:09:40.080 You know, that's perfectly legitimate, he said.
00:09:42.520 Now, long story short, and you know the longer version if you've heard me talk about it before,
00:09:46.720 the female identity did not take hold for Bruce.
00:09:49.160 He eventually figured out the truth.
00:09:50.560 He reverted back to being a boy, which is what he always was.
00:09:53.260 And both he and his brother lived damaged and traumatized lives, and unfortunately, brief
00:09:57.900 lives, until his brother, Brian, committed suicide by intentional overdose.
00:10:01.740 And Bruce, a couple years later, went to a grocery store parking lot with a sawed-off shotgun
00:10:06.320 and shot himself in the head.
00:10:08.400 Now, you may think it can't get worse than that story, and perhaps you're right.
00:10:12.920 But Alfred Kinsey gives it a run for his money.
00:10:15.720 Kinsey had died and gone to hell about 10 years before Money began his sexual experiments
00:10:20.400 on Bruce and Brian Reimer.
00:10:22.260 But he paved the way, not only for Money, but for the sexual revolution and for nearly everything
00:10:28.200 your kids are taught in sex ed in school today.
00:10:31.580 And nobody denies that, by the way.
00:10:32.980 Nobody denies or debates his influence.
00:10:35.200 It is undeniable.
00:10:37.220 Though they prefer not to discuss his life or his work in any great detail, because the
00:10:41.660 details are downright ghastly.
00:10:44.260 Kinsey was originally a zoologist.
00:10:47.480 He specialized in some kind of wasp, I believe.
00:10:50.860 He took an interest in studying human sexuality, primarily, as we know now, in order to justify
00:10:56.820 his own degenerate lifestyle.
00:10:58.400 He was, and this wasn't known until decades after he died, he was a sadomasochistic freak
00:11:03.460 who enjoyed, among other things, and I'm sorry to tell you this, shoving toothbrushes,
00:11:07.460 bristle end first, into his urethra while strangling his genitals with a rope.
00:11:11.840 Now, sorry for the graphic details, but it's actually important context for understanding
00:11:15.860 the man and his work.
00:11:18.280 And you live in a world that was largely made by this guy, so you should know something
00:11:22.620 about him.
00:11:23.040 He released a book called Sexual Behavior in the Human Male in 1948.
00:11:28.120 It was a sensation at the time, almost single-handedly reshaped the way Western society views sexuality.
00:11:34.200 Through his research, as detailed in the book, Kinsey purported to show that sexuality is fluid,
00:11:41.600 that things like homosexuality and bisexuality are extremely widespread.
00:11:46.020 He even said that bestiality is relatively common.
00:11:48.680 He claimed that nearly 20% of boys who grow up on farms have sex with animals.
00:11:54.560 He said that nearly 10% of all men everywhere have sex with animals, or have at least at one point in their life.
00:12:02.640 He also claimed that nearly half of adult men have had at least some kind of sexual contact with another man at some point.
00:12:09.540 What he didn't mention or tried to downplay is that he arrived at these conclusions by interviewing mostly a bunch of prisoners, male prostitutes, and sex offenders.
00:12:19.580 And from this sample of prisoners, sex offenders, and male prostitutes, he drew sweeping conclusions about the sexual behavior of all men everywhere.
00:12:29.520 And society adopted those conclusions as fact, and you will still hear them repeated as fact.
00:12:37.060 You will still today, if you would ever sit in on a sex ed class, you will hear statistics from that book repeated today.
00:12:47.620 And that's far from the worst of it.
00:12:50.380 Kinsey was very interested in showing that children are sexual from birth.
00:12:54.340 He was very interested in this.
00:12:55.560 There's a graph in his report, and he also had, there was this sexual behavior in the human male,
00:13:01.700 and then later he came out with a sexual behavior in the human female, and together these books are known as the Kinsey Report.
00:13:06.840 In the Kinsey Report, there is something called Table 34, and you should remember Table 34.
00:13:13.460 Because it documents, as he puts it, and you can look this up online.
00:13:16.720 As he puts it, it documents examples of multiple orgasms in pre-adolescent males.
00:13:21.920 He then lists children as young as five months old, yes, five months old, newborns.
00:13:29.520 And he claims that these babies and toddlers and young children had multiple orgasms over the course of several minutes or hours.
00:13:37.840 He claims, for example, that an 11-month-old child had 14 orgasms in 38 minutes.
00:13:44.080 Now, where did he get this data?
00:13:46.800 How does he know this?
00:13:47.600 And why are the times so specific?
00:13:50.220 I mean, 38 minutes?
00:13:53.060 Well, he interviewed pedophiles who sexually tortured young children and timed the abuse with stopwatches and took notes.
00:13:59.540 Now, Kinsey claims that he didn't put them up to this, that, you know, they decided to use a stopwatch and take notes on their own, I guess.
00:14:06.280 That's obviously a lie.
00:14:07.500 Even if it isn't, the fact that he dispassionately and even approvingly documented the rape of children never reported any of the abusers to the police and published his findings in an effort to prove that children are sexual and therefore sex between adults and children is not unnatural or immoral.
00:14:24.980 You know, that fact alone is enough to condemn this whole thing to the dustbin.
00:14:31.220 This is the man who, again, your child's sex education program is based around.
00:14:39.860 This is a man who sent sex offenders to rape children with stopwatch, to time it with stopwatches and take notes.
00:14:47.360 And then he would sit down with these monstrous child rapists and record everything they told him.
00:14:54.380 And then send them back to those babies to abuse them some more.
00:14:59.160 His research institute, the Kinsey Institute, is still operational and still receives tax money to this day.
00:15:06.360 Most importantly, his ideas live on in the minds and from the mouths of leftists and positions of power and in all areas of life, especially in schools and media and Hollywood all across the country.
00:15:17.360 This stuff is not targeting our children by accident.
00:15:20.820 The men who invented this sexual movement always intended this.
00:15:25.700 It was their goal from the beginning to sexualize children, to tear down every law and every moral code which shields children from predations of adults like themselves.
00:15:35.900 These were mad scientists, pedophiles, monsters, quacks.
00:15:40.360 This is the culture and the world that they established and which the modern left continues to build.
00:15:49.280 And which we must, therefore, destroy.
00:15:54.400 Now let's get to our five headlines.
00:16:01.660 If you guys know one thing about me, you know that I care deeply about VPNs.
00:16:07.340 I've got a lot of really strong opinions about VPNs, and that's why I can tell you ExpressVPN is the best VPN there is.
00:16:14.300 How did you choose which internet service provider to use?
00:16:16.880 The sad thing is most of us have very little choice because ISPs operate like monopolies in the regions they serve.
00:16:22.540 They use this monopoly power to take advantage of customers, data caps, streaming throttles, the list goes on.
00:16:27.100 But worst of all, many ISPs log your internet activity and sell that data to other big tech companies or advertisers.
00:16:32.720 To prevent ISPs from seeing my internet activity, I protect all of my devices with ExpressVPN.
00:16:39.700 So what is ExpressVPN?
00:16:40.860 Well, it's a simple app for your computer or smartphone that encrypts all network data and tunnels it through a secure VPN server so that your ISP cannot see any of your activity.
00:16:50.380 And that gives you the privacy that you deserve and have a right to.
00:16:53.060 So that's the reason I recommend ExpressVPN as the best way to hide your online activity from your ISP.
00:16:58.120 You just download the app, tap one button, and you're good to go.
00:17:00.260 So stop handing over your personal data to ISPs and other tech giants who mine your activity and sell off your information.
00:17:06.440 Protect yourself with the VPN I trust to keep my activity online private.
00:17:10.960 Visit expressvpn.com slash Walsh.
00:17:13.080 That's E-X-P-R-E-S-S-V-P-N dot com slash Walsh to get three extra months for free.
00:17:17.920 Go to expressvpn.com slash Walsh right now to learn more.
00:17:20.960 All right, you know, I'm pretty upset about this.
00:17:24.420 This woman, Allegra Kirkland, sister of, I suppose, sister of Benadryl Kirkland, she's an editor for Teen Vogue, and she tweeted something out.
00:17:34.560 She said, I'm looking for more people who can write sharp, timely op-eds on U.S. politics for Teen Vogue, especially as midterms start.
00:17:42.760 Rates start at $250.
00:17:43.740 And then she gives her email, so she's looking for people to, you know, submit.
00:17:47.800 And so I responded saying that, um, I'll write, I'll do it for free.
00:17:51.600 I'll write you some articles for free.
00:17:52.920 You don't have to pay me.
00:17:53.840 In truth, I would pay you.
00:17:55.700 I'll pay you $1,000 to let me publish in Teen Vogue.
00:17:59.800 And that's how badly I want this opportunity, and I really do.
00:18:02.780 And then shortly after I tweeted that response to her saying, I'll do it for free, she deleted her original tweet.
00:18:09.940 She took down the Help Wanted ad because I responded to it.
00:18:13.840 So I guess that is, that's my response.
00:18:16.120 That's her way of saying no thanks.
00:18:17.900 Or maybe I'm so good, I'm so fit for the job that she said, we don't even need any more submissions.
00:18:24.220 He's our guy.
00:18:24.860 Um, I guess I have that effect on potential employers sometimes, I suppose.
00:18:32.700 All right, now let's, we'll start with this.
00:18:35.220 Doctors are now walking out of their jobs because of unvaccinated people.
00:18:40.220 Here's a report from MSNBC.
00:18:42.020 This is in South Florida, where doctors are walking out in protest because of all these dirty, unclean, unvaccinated people.
00:18:50.220 Let's watch this.
00:18:50.920 Just moments ago, more than 75 doctors staged a walkout to protest the number of COVID patients coming to the hospitals who have not been vaccinated.
00:19:00.220 The thing, let's bring in Kerry Sanders, because Kerry, you're in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida, at this doctor's walkout.
00:19:07.920 Kerry, and I know the area very well.
00:19:11.020 What Americans don't understand is for every unvaccinated person that's filling up an ICU bed, that means with a hospital's jam, somebody with a heart attack, and I've known somebody in this position, goes there, has trouble getting in, can't get treatment, can't get a bed.
00:19:28.820 It is a nightmare for the doctors.
00:19:30.920 It is a nightmare for the nurses.
00:19:32.340 And to the doctor's point of view, it's worse yet for sick people that want help from them.
00:19:40.380 That is truly reflective of the frustration that you see behind me, and these doctors have gathered, some coming off their shifts to come out here, gathering to try to tell people, please, first of all, ignore the nonsense and the absurdities that you're hearing people say at public meetings, and recognize the value of what a vaccine will do.
00:20:02.840 Ignore the nonsense, they say, as they walk out in a political protest while on the job.
00:20:09.860 Now, they're worried about nonsense.
00:20:11.200 You see them all, you can see them all in the background there, heroically, stoically standing there, refusing to do their jobs, at least for the time while they're standing out there in this stunt.
00:20:22.160 And we're seeing this from, we talked about it already last week, we're seeing this from doctors more and more.
00:20:26.160 There was the doctor in, I think it was Alabama, who put a sign on his door saying, I'm not seeing any unvaccinated patients.
00:20:35.480 Then, you know, every day when you go on social media, you see more doctors.
00:20:38.340 There was this doctor who tweeted out, Natalia Selenkova, who is a medical doctor.
00:20:44.520 She said, nearly 100% vaccinated medical residents are taking care of nearly 100% unvaccinated COVID patients.
00:20:49.880 Does it seem fair?
00:20:51.200 It's not fair.
00:20:53.760 And so this is what we're getting from a lot of doctors.
00:20:55.420 Is this not fair?
00:20:56.240 We don't want to do it.
00:20:56.920 We don't want to take care of these patients.
00:21:00.220 Let me say a couple of things here.
00:21:02.320 First of all, I'm going to try to put this in as gentle a way as I possibly can, as is my way to be gentle.
00:21:12.860 Stop whining, you damned babies.
00:21:18.140 Stop whining and do your job.
00:21:20.540 Is it fair?
00:21:21.520 It's not fair.
00:21:22.800 Yeah, it's fair.
00:21:23.460 You're a doctor.
00:21:24.480 They're sick.
00:21:25.420 It's what you signed up to do.
00:21:27.120 It's what you're getting paid to do.
00:21:28.420 You're paid handsomely.
00:21:29.480 All those people standing in the background in that MSNBC report, they're all paid very well.
00:21:34.380 Dr. Natalia is paid very well, very handsomely compensated for their job, which is fine.
00:21:42.280 I think doctors should be paid well.
00:21:43.640 When I was lying down for my Achilles surgery a couple of years ago, I was happy to know that the guy who was performing the surgery and who would be cutting open my body while I'm asleep, I was happy to know that he's a well-paid professional.
00:22:00.460 But part of getting paid to do a job is that you do your job.
00:22:06.860 Stop asking everyone to pity you for it.
00:22:09.280 Stop asking us to feel sorry for you.
00:22:11.160 If you don't want to do the job, then quit.
00:22:15.080 Quit and do something else if you really don't want to do it.
00:22:19.740 It's not fair.
00:22:21.740 Yeah, we're in the middle of a pandemic, as we're constantly told.
00:22:25.600 And so there's a lot of sick people out there, and you've got to take care of them.
00:22:32.220 I could feel sympathy for you if you weren't begging for it so much.
00:22:38.700 I can easily feel sympathy for people who are not.
00:22:41.100 But the thing is, when you start demanding sympathy and begging for it, that's when the sympathy evaporates, at least for me.
00:22:46.440 I can't feel sorry for you anymore when you're telling me to feel sorry for you.
00:22:50.860 Just as I can't admire you when you're demanding that we admire you.
00:22:56.160 I can admire the medical professionals who go in and do their job and don't complain and don't record TikTok videos whining about it or dancing or aren't constantly begging for attention.
00:23:07.340 But go in and do their job, perform their duties, and go home without making a big show of it.
00:23:13.760 I can admire them.
00:23:15.040 Absolutely, I do admire them.
00:23:18.600 So how about that for an idea?
00:23:19.880 Stop whining and do your damn jobs.
00:23:22.740 For God's sake.
00:23:23.860 Also, there are so many examples.
00:23:29.640 If we're going to take this logic and extend it, it's not hard to see where this goes.
00:23:35.300 As many people have pointed out, including myself, what about obesity?
00:23:42.820 Obesity is one of the number one killers in America right now and at any point.
00:23:49.420 And also, that includes a lot of people who have died of COVID.
00:23:52.620 Obesity kills a lot of many people, many thousands of people on its own.
00:23:59.400 And it's also killed thousands of, it contributed to the deaths of thousands of COVID patients.
00:24:04.700 Because we know that morbid obesity is one of the major red flags.
00:24:09.520 If you come down with COVID and you're morbidly obese, you're in a high-risk situation.
00:24:15.960 So, despite what we're told by the body positive movement, you don't become obese by accident.
00:24:24.440 You're not born morbidly obese.
00:24:26.340 In the vast majority of cases, there's no mystery.
00:24:31.440 You become morbidly obese because you're eating a lot of junk and you're eating way too much and you're not getting exercise.
00:24:36.880 And so, are we going to say, if you have chosen to live that kind of lifestyle, you don't deserve medical treatment?
00:24:47.900 Think about what obese people are doing to everyone's health insurance premiums.
00:24:53.520 How many, even outside of COVID, how many hospital beds are being taken up by people suffering the medical consequences of their own poor lifestyle decisions?
00:25:03.520 Should we refuse treatment to them?
00:25:07.020 Now, the way around this, what you'll hear from people on the other side of this issue, is they'll say, well, it's totally different because obesity is not a communicable disease.
00:25:16.080 So, it's not analogous.
00:25:18.020 It's different.
00:25:19.100 Yeah, I know it's different, but that's why it's an analogy.
00:25:21.560 Okay?
00:25:21.940 In order to make an analogy, two things have to be different.
00:25:25.760 If they're exactly the same, then there can be no analogy.
00:25:31.540 This is a confusion that I think stems back, by the way, to the phrase, you know what?
00:25:35.120 That's apples and oranges.
00:25:36.020 You can't compare that.
00:25:37.240 No, apples and oranges, you absolutely can compare.
00:25:39.220 They're very similar, but they're different.
00:25:42.060 In fact, in principle, you can't compare an apple to an apple because it's exactly the same thing.
00:25:45.940 It's like you can't compare the number four to the number four.
00:25:47.960 Anyway, yes.
00:25:49.760 So, obesity and COVID are different things, but there are comparisons you can make.
00:25:56.340 It's not a communicable disease, but it is still a choice that someone makes to be that way, and that has consequences that they suffer and that society must suffer.
00:26:09.040 And many hundreds of hours are spent by medical professionals over the course of their careers dealing with obese people who, again, are suffering the consequences of their own decisions.
00:26:21.460 So, why shouldn't we refuse treatment to them?
00:26:25.480 But if you're hung up on the communicable disease aspect of it, then, okay, how about this?
00:26:29.680 Let's put obese people to the side.
00:26:32.220 What about a so-called sex worker, otherwise known as a prostitute, we call them sex workers now, a so-called sex worker who has an STD or someone, a porn star?
00:26:45.100 Somebody who's someone on OnlyFans, at least until they get rid of the porn in a couple of weeks.
00:26:51.460 What about someone like that?
00:26:53.380 The porn star or prostitute, a quote-unquote sex worker, has STDs.
00:27:00.180 Should we refuse medical treatment to them?
00:27:02.980 An STD is a communicable disease.
00:27:06.260 STDs have killed millions of people, and they cause untold death and destruction and misery and suffering all across the world.
00:27:16.360 And these people have gotten STDs by their own lifestyle decisions, by their own choices.
00:27:27.580 So, why don't we refuse treatment to them?
00:27:29.360 That is an almost exactly analogous situation.
00:27:35.500 Someone who has a communicable disease that was brought on by their own lifestyle decisions.
00:27:40.860 But something tells me that if a doctor were to stand up and say, you know what, I'm not going to treat any more sex workers because I'm tired of these sex workers coming in here when they got herpes and chlamydia and HIV and all these things.
00:27:55.340 And they've got it because they've chosen to live this way and have sex with 15 people, different people every day, and I'm not going to treat them anymore.
00:28:04.360 I don't want to deal with this.
00:28:05.200 Something tells me that all the people applauding these doctors right now who are walking out of the job, every single one of them, without exception, would be condemning that doctor and saying, how dare you?
00:28:17.880 This is your job.
00:28:20.340 Treat these poor prostitutes.
00:28:24.360 Something tells me.
00:28:25.120 I think I'm right about that.
00:28:27.020 All right, next.
00:28:27.680 This is from The Daily Wire.
00:28:28.460 It says, the Capitol Police officer who shot protester Ashley Babbitt was found to be acting lawfully and in line with department policy and will not face internal sanctions, the Capitol Police said on Monday.
00:28:39.860 The Daily Wire reported Friday that the officer who shot Babbitt as she entered the Capitol Speaker's lobby through a broken window was formally exonerated after the Capitol Police conducted an internal investigation according to an internal document.
00:28:51.180 The internal Capitol Police investigation represented the latest such open investigation into the circumstances surrounding the 35-year-old Trump supporter's death.
00:29:00.240 A memo on the matter obtained by NBC News said that no further action will be taken in this matter, meaning that the officer who will not be named will not face discipline.
00:29:10.880 The Capitol Police unveiled the report itself on Monday.
00:29:13.280 Officials said they had interviewed multiple witnesses and reviewed video and radio calls as part of the month's long probe.
00:29:19.760 So, radio calls that we haven't heard, video, we've seen a couple of videos that were taken by people in the crowd, cell phone video.
00:29:34.200 I'm going to assume that the Capitol Police looked at security video.
00:29:39.200 There's security cameras all over the place in that building.
00:29:41.260 We haven't seen those.
00:29:43.800 We haven't even been told the name of the person who did this.
00:29:46.660 And they say now, as they've said all along, that they're not going to tell us the name.
00:29:52.240 They're not going to release the name because of because of threats.
00:29:57.600 And I could respect that.
00:30:00.880 And I would be fine with that.
00:30:02.280 If not for the fact that every single time there's a shooting that BLM is upset about, we find out the police officer's name right away.
00:30:13.500 And it doesn't matter if there's threats.
00:30:16.300 I mean, you can have some of the most prominent, famous, visible people in the country, LeBron James, making threats.
00:30:22.920 And doxing the officer, putting his image out there.
00:30:30.340 And still, they're going to give us all the information that is demanded about that officer.
00:30:35.240 Just like they did in that case, the Micaiah Bryant shooting.
00:30:37.460 So, if this was a general policy of, we're not going to release the officer's name unless they're charged with a crime.
00:30:46.160 But if they're not charged with a crime, we're not going to release their name because of concerns for the safety of their family.
00:30:50.860 And also, it's not fair to them because if it turns out that the shooting was justified, it's not fair that now that their name is out there and they've got to live in fear for the rest of their lives because of this.
00:31:00.100 I could respect that if that was the policy, but it's not.
00:31:09.040 Because, again, in every other case, at least if BLM is upset, we find out the officer's name.
00:31:16.160 This is the only case that I can think of in recent memory where there was a police shooting that was controversial and they didn't tell us the name.
00:31:24.100 And it just so happens it's the one shooting that BLM is not only unconcerned with and doesn't care about, but they're actually happy about it.
00:31:31.140 They're cheering it on.
00:31:33.020 They're happy that this woman died because she's white and they don't agree with her politics.
00:31:38.400 And as we've known all along, BLM couldn't possibly give less of a damn about police shootings.
00:31:45.000 That's never been what this is about.
00:31:48.760 So that doesn't work.
00:31:49.920 But we're supposed to, I guess, move on now because the Capitol Police, without showing us any of the video, without giving us any of the information that they have, without letting us us hear from the witnesses that they supposedly talk to.
00:32:06.340 And without even telling us the name of this person, they have looked into it and they said we didn't the Capitol Police have decided that the Capitol Police didn't do anything wrong.
00:32:15.320 Well, that's it then, I guess.
00:32:16.740 I mean, if the Capitol Police, if the Capitol Police say they didn't do anything wrong, then I guess they didn't do anything wrong.
00:32:24.640 And again, all of these, all of the people who normally hate the police, to say that they distrust the police would be a massive understatement.
00:32:35.940 I mean, they believe that police officers are, by and large, racist serial killers.
00:32:42.180 And yet, in this case, they say, well, if the police say it was fine, then it was probably fine.
00:32:49.660 It's an absolute joke.
00:32:50.840 And at the very least, this man's name should be should be released.
00:32:56.260 And, you know, it's it's the Capitol Police aren't the only ones who know this guy's name.
00:33:02.000 I can guarantee you every single Republican in Congress knows who the guy is.
00:33:05.600 They all know.
00:33:06.980 And they could tell us, but they don't.
00:33:09.780 Donald Trump was president when this happened.
00:33:13.040 He absolutely knows who did it.
00:33:16.880 In fact, he said he said he's he has said that he knows who did it.
00:33:20.460 He's not telling us.
00:33:22.280 So I don't just put the blame on Democrats and and the Capitol Police.
00:33:27.740 It's the same story again with Republicans going along with the flow, being spineless, gutless jellyfish.
00:33:35.260 When they could come out and say, no, this is wrong here, you know, there should at least be some transparency with this.
00:33:43.520 Here's the man who did this.
00:33:46.280 They could even probably arrange to leak the security footage if they wanted to.
00:33:50.300 That is what Democrats would do.
00:33:54.720 Need it even be said, you reverse the situation here.
00:33:57.400 And this was it was a Capitol Police officer who shot a an unarmed BLM activist female.
00:34:05.600 You know, because she was crawling through a window.
00:34:09.800 And she was shot and killed by Capitol Police.
00:34:13.480 They don't tell us the name.
00:34:14.980 They're not transparent about it.
00:34:16.700 You can guarantee the Democrat Party.
00:34:19.000 They would have that name out there.
00:34:20.340 They would have the footage out there.
00:34:21.680 They would have all the information in the public immediately.
00:34:27.400 Instead, we have Republicans who just sit on their hands and say, well, there's nothing we could do, I guess.
00:34:30.800 That's it.
00:34:31.380 Let's move on.
00:34:34.340 All right.
00:34:34.820 See if you can follow along with this report from the New York Post.
00:34:40.960 It says some kind hearted strangers melted the Internet's heart after contributing forty five hundred dollars to a waiter who allegedly was stiffed by homophobic customers at a restaurant in Madison, Wisconsin.
00:34:52.440 Now, now, now we will show you the the receipt, the note.
00:35:00.360 So it was a bill for one hundred forty two dollars and ninety five cents.
00:35:04.280 And then the person, this alleged customer left one hundred forty two dollars, ninety five cents and then left a note that said service was good, but we don't tip sinful homosexuals and sinful as misspelled.
00:35:14.400 Now, we have seen this exact story with almost no changes at all.
00:35:22.800 Dozens of times we have seen this through the years, recent years.
00:35:27.560 Someone doesn't leave a tip and they leave a nasty note.
00:35:30.160 Either it's a note, you know, it's a it's an anti-gay or sometimes it's a racist note.
00:35:37.480 Usually it's an anti-gay thing.
00:35:39.100 This this tends to be this is a genre where most of the entries are are purportedly anti-gay.
00:35:47.060 And I don't think it's an exaggeration to say that in every single one of those cases, it's a hoax.
00:35:53.900 Every single one.
00:35:55.620 Has there been yet a legitimate case of someone leaving a nasty note on a receipt and it was real?
00:36:02.280 Well, we're supposed to believe that this is different.
00:36:07.480 Now, this is this is a real one.
00:36:09.540 There are already a number of problems that I think jump out at you.
00:36:14.220 Starting with the fact that this is this is a genre that is almost always fiction.
00:36:17.980 So that's why immediately there's reason to suspect.
00:36:21.600 There are other problems, too.
00:36:23.140 Like, for example, this is someone who feels that strongly about it.
00:36:27.680 We're supposed to believe, I guess, this is a, you know, a Bible banging Christian.
00:36:32.280 We don't tip sinful homosexual.
00:36:33.700 They don't know how to spell sinful, though.
00:36:35.640 That's kind of a little bit of a red flag.
00:36:37.660 And also they took the time to note that the service was good.
00:36:42.260 So they they hate this waiter because of their homosexuality, but they love the service and they made sure to note to put that down in the note.
00:36:49.180 You know, the service was great.
00:36:50.540 It was wonderful, but we don't tip you sinful homosexuals.
00:36:53.180 So that's a problem.
00:36:55.760 And also, how did they know that the waiter was a quote unquote sinful homosexual?
00:37:01.520 Does does he introduce himself that way?
00:37:04.620 I've never had a waiter do that.
00:37:06.020 I've never been sitting at Applebee's and the waiter comes up and says, hey, I'm Chuck.
00:37:10.000 I'll tell you about the specials today.
00:37:10.940 By the way, I am a homosexual.
00:37:12.320 OK, here are the specials.
00:37:13.560 I've never had that.
00:37:16.200 So a lot of problems, a lot of red flags.
00:37:18.040 And also just the fact that, you know, those of us who run in circles with conservative Christians, we just know that nobody is doing this.
00:37:26.120 Nobody.
00:37:28.300 Even if you had someone who was inclined to leave a note like that, that wouldn't it wouldn't sound like that.
00:37:33.960 That would not be the note that sounds like a note written by someone who is trying to sound like what they think a conservative Christian sounds like.
00:37:44.040 But this gets even weirder.
00:37:45.340 OK, so that was the note going back to the New York Post article.
00:37:48.400 It says.
00:37:49.840 This is a face.
00:37:51.000 This was this was put up on Facebook by a guy named Eric Salzwiedel.
00:37:55.500 And he wrote on Facebook to the folks who felt it was necessary to write this hateful note and not tip.
00:38:00.560 Don't worry me and about 250 other others will cover the tip for you.
00:38:05.500 So he.
00:38:07.760 Do we have the Facebook post?
00:38:09.740 No, we don't.
00:38:10.180 OK, so this guy, Eric Salzwiedel, he runs some sort of nonprofit.
00:38:14.280 And this is in Madison, Wisconsin.
00:38:16.820 He's the not he's a he runs a nonprofit group called Do Good Wisconsin.
00:38:21.660 And he originally it wasn't he was not the waiter, but he got his hands on this receipt from someone.
00:38:30.000 He doesn't say who it was from.
00:38:31.080 Someone, some some poor waiter, some poor homosexual waiter gave him the receipt.
00:38:34.800 He, Eric Salzwiedel, posted it to his own Facebook page.
00:38:39.580 And solicited donations to himself.
00:38:42.840 He put his own personal PayPal and Venmo up and said, hey, everybody, someone left this note for a waiter.
00:38:49.900 I'm not going to tell you who the waiter is and I'm not going to tell you who left the note doesn't matter.
00:38:53.380 But it's a terrible thing.
00:38:54.400 Why don't you give me money and then I'm going to go to the restaurant and leave a massive tip with your money to that poor waiter?
00:39:01.980 And people did it.
00:39:03.120 People sent him forty five hundred dollars and then he did a follow up Facebook post later saying claiming that he went to the restaurant and gave the forty five hundred dollars to the to the waiter.
00:39:12.780 And he never told us who it was.
00:39:13.760 Anyway, I tracked this Eric Salzwiedel guy down on Twitter and I asked him, I said, I said, hey, do you have any?
00:39:23.220 I mean, you were soliciting donations to your personal PayPal account based on this receipt.
00:39:29.720 And we don't know who any of these people are.
00:39:32.120 Do you have any proof that any of this is real, that it's not a hoax?
00:39:35.620 Like, how do we know that you're not perpetrating a hoax or maybe the waiter perpetrated a hoax against you?
00:39:39.620 I mean, how do we know?
00:39:40.220 And I went back and forth with the guy on Twitter a few times and you could go on my on my Twitter page and see the back and forth.
00:39:46.900 The long and short answer is that he is not going to be providing any evidence that any of this is real.
00:39:52.620 He said that I'm not making this up.
00:39:54.900 He said he's not going to provide evidence that it's real because I wouldn't believe it anyway, even if he did.
00:40:00.380 OK, so you look.
00:40:04.220 I'm naturally a skeptic.
00:40:05.540 I admit it.
00:40:06.100 But you decide for yourself whether this sounds legitimate to you.
00:40:11.280 Eric Salsweedle took a receipt, said, I don't know.
00:40:15.500 I'm not going to tell you who this is from.
00:40:17.140 Or he did tell me it was a friend of a friend.
00:40:19.060 So his friend has a friend.
00:40:21.040 And then he got the receipt from them.
00:40:22.500 But he's not going to tell the person's name.
00:40:23.700 Doesn't matter.
00:40:24.800 Doesn't matter who left it.
00:40:25.640 None of that matters.
00:40:26.880 Just give him five thousand dollars and he'll and he'll make it all right.
00:40:30.340 And hundreds of people actually said that that sounds totally legitimate to me.
00:40:39.660 Even though this story is has been a hoax 100 percent of the time in the past.
00:40:46.020 And this is actually the least credible sounding one we've heard yet.
00:40:51.060 I'm going to give this guy my money.
00:40:52.680 My God.
00:40:57.260 But you know what?
00:40:58.040 If you're that stupid, you deserve to be scammed.
00:41:00.700 It's pretty clear to me you got scammed.
00:41:03.520 That's my theory.
00:41:04.540 I don't know for a fact.
00:41:05.580 I think.
00:41:07.540 And you absolutely deserve it in that case.
00:41:10.940 All right.
00:41:11.220 Before we get to reading the YouTube comments, I got I have this from today's very important story.
00:41:15.040 Probably the most important story that we have today.
00:41:16.780 This is from today dot com.
00:41:19.260 They say there's a dangerous new trend going viral on social media.
00:41:22.840 It's called the Milk Crate Challenge.
00:41:24.520 And it first popped up on TikTok and is now making the rounds to social platforms like Twitter and Instagram.
00:41:28.940 Experts warn the unsafe trend, coupled with the overcrowding of U.S. emergency rooms due to COVID-19, could be a disaster waiting to happen.
00:41:35.700 The Milk Crate Challenge calls for stacking milk crates in the shape of a pyramid and successfully walking up one side and down the other.
00:41:43.820 Sean Anthony, an orthopedic surgeon, said the Milk Crate Challenge is very dangerous.
00:41:46.980 We're seeing many orthopedic injuries as a result.
00:41:49.580 Injuries can include broken wrists, shoulder dislocations, ACL, and meniscus tears, as well as life-threatening conditions like spinal cord injuries.
00:41:56.220 So the doctors are speaking out.
00:41:57.240 They're saying this is very dangerous.
00:41:58.600 But this is the trend.
00:42:00.880 It's very bad.
00:42:01.600 It's not funny.
00:42:02.640 I don't approve of it at all.
00:42:05.060 But let's just, for educational purposes, we're going to watch one of these.
00:42:08.140 And let's see this guy trying the milk.
00:42:09.460 This is what the milk is.
00:42:10.100 Again, just for educational reasons.
00:42:11.360 Can we play this?
00:42:12.660 Totally, I want you to be educated on the Milk Crate Challenge.
00:42:15.300 I want you to know what it looks like so that you know if your children are stacking milk crates.
00:42:20.560 It's pretty good.
00:42:21.660 Oh, my gosh.
00:42:24.100 That is not.
00:42:25.920 Oh, you landed right on his back.
00:42:27.140 That is a spinal cord injury waiting.
00:42:28.320 It's not funny at all, though.
00:42:30.460 And I don't approve of it.
00:42:32.040 I'm quite concerned.
00:42:33.140 Let's just watch one more.
00:42:34.700 Again, purely for the sake of education.
00:42:38.140 So if you see your children doing this, then that is a big, big red flag.
00:42:45.040 You see the milk crate pyramid in your yard and your kids say, oh, we're just, you know, we're making a pretty design.
00:42:51.020 No, no, no, no, no.
00:42:52.100 Oh, no.
00:42:52.580 Oh, my gosh.
00:42:55.240 Oh, man.
00:42:56.920 Is that guy dead?
00:42:57.760 Okay, he's not dead.
00:42:59.680 It is.
00:43:00.020 It's only.
00:43:02.480 It's simply terrible.
00:43:03.420 It's not funny.
00:43:04.900 It is not.
00:43:05.320 Don't.
00:43:05.740 Please, everyone, do not try that.
00:43:09.660 I kind of want to try it.
00:43:11.200 I do.
00:43:11.980 But I won't.
00:43:14.060 I want to try it if for no other reason than how funny it would be for me to be going to the emergency room, you know, with 15 broken bones.
00:43:24.340 And I got to call my wife and explain what happened.
00:43:28.700 Hey, babe, I'm going to the emergency room.
00:43:31.140 I don't have time to get into details.
00:43:32.620 I was climbing some milk crates.
00:43:33.860 I broke 15 bones.
00:43:37.020 Anyway, there it is.
00:43:38.140 So really, really concerning stuff.
00:43:40.460 Let's move now to reading the YouTube comments.
00:43:42.840 This is from John, who says, it's funny that Matt looks like a lumber sexual Portland Democrat with a plaid shirt and beard while being a conservative.
00:43:51.120 I also don't look the way people perceive me.
00:43:53.600 More power, bro.
00:43:55.700 I absolutely reject the idea that plaid shirts and beards are now a left wing signifier.
00:44:01.800 I reject that.
00:44:02.680 I detest it.
00:44:04.300 Can we stop with this?
00:44:05.520 Since when is it a plaid shirt is the most basic?
00:44:08.960 That's not white dad summer.
00:44:11.040 That's really white dad fall.
00:44:12.200 But it's white dad any time of year, really.
00:44:15.500 That's the most basic uniform for a middle-aged dad.
00:44:18.880 And the beard?
00:44:21.060 Now you're trying to tell me that it's some sort of a hipster left wing thing?
00:44:25.640 I don't agree with that at all.
00:44:28.380 Forrest says, it's not as simple as, oh, just stay home then.
00:44:32.220 Not everyone can.
00:44:33.720 That's not an option for a lot of people.
00:44:35.940 I started the show yesterday saying if you're still, I think it's pretty good advice and it's a good compromise.
00:44:42.380 If you're still deathly afraid of COVID, that you don't even want to be out in public if everyone isn't wearing masks, then the best thing you could do is just stay home.
00:44:50.260 You can stay home as long as you want.
00:44:52.040 If you've got to go to work, go to work in a gas mask or something.
00:44:54.240 Put on rubber gloves.
00:44:55.960 Otherwise, stay in your house.
00:44:57.820 Let the rest of us live our lives.
00:45:00.140 A number of commenters, including Forrest here, says that's not an option.
00:45:03.560 That's not a good enough solution.
00:45:05.540 Well, again, I said if you're deathly afraid of COVID and are not willing to live normally in spite of it and alongside it,
00:45:12.980 then you can stay home.
00:45:15.120 And if you have to leave your home for whatever reason, then you could take extreme measures.
00:45:20.160 I'm sure you could find a gas mask on Amazon.
00:45:21.840 I mean, the point is you need to do literally everything you possibly can to protect yourself so you can stop worrying about us.
00:45:30.580 Because most of the worrying you do about other people is based on the fact that you also want to basically live a normal life.
00:45:39.920 You see, that's the problem.
00:45:40.980 What I'm saying is you need to decide.
00:45:44.720 Live a normal life and deal with the reality of COVID or hide from the reality.
00:45:50.040 So much of the strife and the anger comes from people who they want to have it both ways.
00:45:58.400 They want to be paranoid about COVID.
00:46:01.540 And they want to feel like they're 100% protected from it.
00:46:04.320 But they still want to leave their homes and live normally.
00:46:08.260 And they want all of us to facilitate that for them.
00:46:11.380 Where it's like Melissa Joan Hart going to Disney World.
00:46:15.840 She wants to be able to go to Disney World.
00:46:17.940 And so everybody else there, they have to dress appropriately and do everything she wants them to do so that she can go to Disney World.
00:46:25.120 It doesn't work that way.
00:46:28.040 It's like I told you about back in the winter.
00:46:29.920 I went to the relatively few times that I was yelled at by someone for not wearing a mask.
00:46:35.480 Like, I went to, my family and I, we went to a Christmas lights display outside at a botanical garden in Indianapolis.
00:46:43.800 And we were walking along and we weren't wearing masks.
00:46:47.000 And there was a woman who was wearing a mask and she was there too.
00:46:49.120 And she kind of yelled at us for not having masks on.
00:46:54.700 But my point was, you're at a botanical garden at a Christmas light display.
00:46:59.140 If you're that worried about it, then what are you doing here?
00:47:02.160 If you think you might die if you encounter someone else outside of the botanical garden at the Christmas light display who's not wearing a mask, then maybe you shouldn't come in the first place.
00:47:13.820 See, this is something that you do.
00:47:15.500 We're all here because we're not that worried about it.
00:47:18.660 That's why we're here.
00:47:20.500 If I thought I was risking my life, I wouldn't be at a Christmas light display.
00:47:25.320 That's why I'm here because I don't think I am.
00:47:26.720 If you think that you are, if you think that it's risking your life and it's a big concern, then just stay home.
00:47:32.960 Don't go.
00:47:34.720 Leave the rest of us alone.
00:47:37.580 And finally, God's country says, Matt, you're a national treasure.
00:47:40.840 If you wouldn't mind, could you possibly ban me from the show?
00:47:43.980 Well, I'm not a circus clown performing tricks for you.
00:47:47.200 Okay, I'm not a dog barking on command.
00:47:50.120 I'm not going to tell you that you're banned from the show just because you demand that I ban you from the show.
00:47:53.940 And for that, you're banned from the show.
00:47:56.720 Very important news bulletin here.
00:47:58.300 If you have not submitted your Sweet Baby Gang anthem yet, then now is your last chance to do it.
00:48:04.120 I know we do these reads a lot where we say, it's your last chance to get this deal.
00:48:07.080 And then it turns out that we're going to tell you about the deal for the next 17 months.
00:48:10.580 But this is different because actually there really is a hard deadline here.
00:48:14.740 Submissions end tomorrow, August 25th at midnight.
00:48:18.120 Because shortly after we get all the submissions, we're going to have our American Idol style competition
00:48:24.420 where we look at all these different anthems and songs that were submitted and we decide, along with your help,
00:48:29.380 which is going to be the official Sweet Baby Gang anthem.
00:48:32.140 So it's very important and there's a great amount of responsibility that lies on your shoulders here.
00:48:36.700 And I hope you take it very seriously.
00:48:38.080 Go to dailywire.com slash SBG to submit your Sweet Baby Gang anthem.

00:49:24.240 Let's get to our daily cancellation.
00:49:29.520 I have to confess that I had other plans for this daily cancellation today,
00:49:32.940 but those plans were hijacked when my producer, Sean, sent me this editorial in the New York Times
00:49:37.300 from a woman named Cassidy Rosenblum.
00:49:39.160 Everything from the title to the writer herself to the article all scream for cancellation.
00:49:44.400 I am taken up by the forces of the universe and moved in this direction practically against my will.
00:49:49.280 I have no choice but to cancel, as some great philosopher once said, I'm sure.
00:49:54.200 Cassidy Rosenblum is an unemployed former NPR producer who left her job and moved into her parents' house.
00:50:00.880 Now that she's sitting at her parents' house, more specifically lying down at her parents' house,
00:50:06.440 she's decided that, as she says in the title of the article, work is a false idol.
00:50:13.740 The piece is about her epiphany that it's better, more beautiful, more pure, more true to do nothing at all,
00:50:20.200 just lounge around all day.
00:50:21.960 She says that this is a growing trend as more and more people are deciding to model their lives after fungus growing on a dead tree
00:50:29.060 and sit around all day, achieving nothing, contributing nothing of value to society.
00:50:32.640 This is what she writes.
00:50:33.580 She says, quote,
00:50:34.100 In China this April, a 31-year-old former factory worker named Luo Haozong drew the curtains and crawled into bed.
00:50:43.200 Then he posted a picture of himself there to the Chinese website, Badoo, along with a message,
00:50:48.340 Lying flat is justice.
00:50:50.800 Lying flat is my sophistic movement, Mr. Lau wrote, tipping his hat to Diogenes the Cynic,
00:50:56.120 a Greek philosopher who said to have lived inside a barrel to criticize the excesses of Athenian aristocrats.
00:51:01.820 On Chinese social media, Mr. Lau's manifesto and his assertion that he has a right to choose a slow lifestyle
00:51:07.680 of reading, exercising, and doing odd jobs to get by quickly went viral.
00:51:11.880 Sympathizer shared versions of a belief that it is gaining global resonance.
00:51:16.000 Work has become intolerable.
00:51:18.180 Rest is resistance.
00:51:20.400 So we see that the Chinese dude's version of lying flat includes doing odd jobs and getting by
00:51:26.720 while devoting more time to reading and exercising.
00:51:29.480 This may not be a recipe for professional success.
00:51:32.820 And if you have a family, then you may not have the luxury to make reading and exercise
00:51:36.440 into a major overriding priority in your day-to-day life.
00:51:39.960 But if you don't have those obligations and you're still working to get by,
00:51:44.400 then who can complain?
00:51:45.600 Can complain?
00:51:46.380 I certainly don't.
00:51:48.380 If that's how you want to live, then go ahead and live that way.
00:51:51.020 Fantastic.
00:51:51.380 The problem is that our friend Cassidy, like many of her American counterparts,
00:51:56.700 are removing a key aspect of this lying flat formula.
00:52:00.860 She continues,
00:52:01.680 It's not just Chinese millennials who are figuring out that work is a false idol.
00:52:06.800 I should know because I'm lying flat too, holed up in my parents' house in West Virginia.
00:52:11.880 Earlier this year, I quit my job producing an NPR program in Boston,
00:52:15.060 and I haven't been able to stomach rejoining the cacophony of the 24-hour news cycle.
00:52:20.140 I'm far from the only one.
00:52:21.760 A recent tweet that proclaimed,
00:52:22.920 I do not want to have a career racked up 400,000 likes.
00:52:26.400 Instead, proclaimed the tweeter,
00:52:27.860 Hollaback Girl,
00:52:29.280 I want to sit on the porch.
00:52:31.220 Here in the hills,
00:52:32.420 the new silence of my days,
00:52:33.940 deepened by the solitude of the pandemic,
00:52:36.000 has allowed me to observe the state of our planet in the year 2021.
00:52:39.700 And it looks to be on fire as our oligarchs take to space.
00:52:43.420 From the view down here on the carpet,
00:52:45.400 I see a system that,
00:52:46.540 even if it bounces back to normal,
00:52:48.520 I have no interest in rejoining.
00:52:50.480 A system that is beginning to come undone.
00:52:53.480 Now, Cassidy then gives other examples of people
00:52:55.340 who have made the heroic choice to be lazy good-for-nothings.
00:52:58.160 And there are many examples to choose from around here nowadays.
00:53:00.980 That's for sure.
00:53:02.020 And then she closes on a poetic note.
00:53:04.420 She says,
00:53:04.960 In her poem, The Summer Day,
00:53:07.340 Mary Oliver asks,
00:53:08.600 Tell me, what is your plan?
00:53:11.600 Tell me, what is your plan to do with your one wild and precious life?
00:53:15.620 My reply for now is simple.
00:53:17.900 Sit on the porch.
00:53:19.240 It's not half bad.
00:53:20.360 For what is the porch if not a place to chat with neighbors,
00:53:23.740 to marvel at the hummingbird at the feeder,
00:53:25.860 to listen to the wind in the chimes,
00:53:27.760 an altar for cynics,
00:53:29.380 an altar for the erotic,
00:53:30.880 an altar for the future?
00:53:32.300 Okay, let me say, first of all,
00:53:35.680 please do not make your porch into an altar for the erotic.
00:53:40.540 Especially not your parents' porch,
00:53:42.700 you weirdo.
00:53:43.360 I can't imagine visiting my parents at their house and saying,
00:53:46.860 Hey mom,
00:53:47.480 I'm just going to go step out on the erotic altar out there for a second.
00:53:50.480 I mean the porch.
00:53:51.200 Sorry.
00:53:52.040 Just don't look out the window for the next few minutes, please.
00:53:54.880 But this is a technicality, I suppose,
00:53:56.800 and more a question of etiquette than anything else.
00:53:58.820 As for the rest of this tedious,
00:54:00.660 fart-sniffing screed,
00:54:02.180 we need only ask how Cassidy has a porch to sit on,
00:54:06.440 or do whatever unspeakable thing she plans to do on it,
00:54:08.800 in the first place.
00:54:09.560 And I assume she's not starving while she listens to the wind chimes
00:54:13.340 and watches the hummingbirds.
00:54:15.420 I would also assume that most of her lying flat is done in beds
00:54:18.600 and on couches and other pieces of furniture
00:54:20.820 that someone has to purchase.
00:54:23.380 She is able to be sedentary.
00:54:25.280 She is able to lie flat,
00:54:26.720 dreaming of ways to make her slothfulness sound poetic
00:54:29.580 in New York Times op-eds,
00:54:30.800 all because someone else,
00:54:32.740 namely her parents in this case,
00:54:34.200 have done the work,
00:54:35.340 and are doing the work,
00:54:36.440 that she refuses to do.
00:54:37.880 See, that's the thing that these leeches always leave out
00:54:41.540 when they're promoting this kind of lifestyle to the masses.
00:54:43.980 They leave out the part
00:54:45.320 where not everyone can live like this.
00:54:48.860 Some of us have to work to keep this whole ship floating.
00:54:52.820 I mean, what happens if everybody lies flat?
00:54:54.920 What if everyone retreats to the porch?
00:54:57.640 What if we all decide to listen to the wind chimes all day?
00:55:01.120 Well, then nothing is produced.
00:55:03.500 Nothing is made.
00:55:05.260 Nothing is paid for.
00:55:06.080 No food is grown or killed.
00:55:09.500 No crops are cultivated.
00:55:10.560 No homes are built.
00:55:11.360 No roads are paved.
00:55:12.280 There's no clothing, no cars, no blankets, no sidewalks,
00:55:14.860 no planes, nobody to fly the planes anyway.
00:55:16.940 No phones.
00:55:17.820 Nothing at all.
00:55:19.240 Not even clean water to drink.
00:55:21.940 Everything that you use or consume
00:55:23.880 or depend upon for survival
00:55:25.740 requires work to produce.
00:55:28.400 Everything.
00:55:29.480 There are no exceptions.
00:55:30.480 Even the things that are done by robots.
00:55:33.840 Well, the robots have to be made by someone.
00:55:37.040 If nobody works, everybody dies.
00:55:40.020 If only some people work,
00:55:41.720 then the people who don't work will die
00:55:43.580 or else they'll make the working people into their slaves.
00:55:48.100 And Cassidy on the porch with the hummingbirds
00:55:49.800 is really advocating the latter option.
00:55:51.440 She wants to do nothing
00:55:52.360 and have you or her parents or whoever,
00:55:54.560 she doesn't care,
00:55:55.380 become her slave.
00:55:57.620 This kind of stuff is either advocacy for suicide
00:56:00.140 or slavery.
00:56:01.240 It can't be anything else.
00:56:02.880 And usually it's slavery.
00:56:04.060 Why can't it be anything else?
00:56:07.960 I mean, why can't we just be in a world
00:56:10.260 where nobody has to work
00:56:11.720 and everyone can lay on the porch?
00:56:14.220 Well, because reality is hard
00:56:16.620 and cold and often cruel.
00:56:19.680 We are born into a world
00:56:21.480 that will hand nothing to us.
00:56:24.640 We have many needs
00:56:26.300 and many more desires,
00:56:28.500 increasing number of desires every single day.
00:56:30.640 And the world will not satisfy any of them for us.
00:56:35.620 You have to work
00:56:36.820 or someone has to work to make that happen.
00:56:39.680 In order to survive,
00:56:41.060 you must impose yourself.
00:56:42.960 You must extract what you want
00:56:44.800 and need from the world.
00:56:46.380 You must in many ways battle against nature,
00:56:48.940 against the world,
00:56:49.880 just so that you can live in it.
00:56:52.380 Now, we don't think of it in those terms anymore
00:56:54.420 because we're so comfortable,
00:56:55.900 but we're comfortable precisely because of the work
00:56:58.160 done by others, by our forebears.
00:57:00.640 Our ancestors knew that every day was a struggle,
00:57:03.300 a battle,
00:57:03.860 and work was an intrinsic part of life
00:57:06.260 because they confronted that reality
00:57:08.500 on a daily and hourly basis.
00:57:10.380 We're fortunate enough to live behind certain shields
00:57:12.860 which allow us to ignore that reality,
00:57:14.800 but it is still a reality.
00:57:17.860 And those shields require work to maintain.
00:57:20.140 They're like a dam holding back a great river
00:57:22.500 and the river is named Reality.
00:57:24.560 An unimaginable amount of sweat and blood
00:57:27.440 went into building that dam
00:57:29.340 and even more goes into maintaining it.
00:57:32.280 We just hope somebody else will do it.
00:57:35.700 And for now, there is someone else to do it,
00:57:37.640 at least in Cassidy's case.
00:57:39.340 But eventually,
00:57:40.540 as more and more people are convinced
00:57:42.620 that apathy and laziness
00:57:44.280 are not only appealing but virtuous,
00:57:46.560 and more and more people decide to lie flat,
00:57:49.960 we may actually run out of people
00:57:52.360 to repair the dam and fill the cracks.
00:57:53.860 We may not have enough workers to do the work.
00:57:57.800 And then the dam breaks
00:57:58.920 and the cold, icy waters of reality rush in.
00:58:03.100 And all the Cassidy's of the world drown in it.
00:58:06.760 And then she will certainly be lying flat
00:58:09.120 in more ways than one.
00:58:11.680 And also, she will be at that point
00:58:13.400 as she is right now.
00:58:15.360 Certainly, cancelled.
00:58:17.720 And we'll leave it there for today.
00:58:19.160 Thanks for watching.
00:58:19.760 Thanks for listening.
00:58:20.460 Have a great day.
