The Matt Walsh Show - Ep. 815 - No, I Will Not Celebrate ＂Indigenous People's Day＂

00:00:00.000 Today on the Matt Wall Show, Columbus Day has been increasingly replaced by Indigenous People's Day.

00:00:05.220 We're told that we should celebrate Indigenous people rather than Columbus because Columbus was a violent man who conquered lands that didn't belong to him.

00:00:11.320 And that's mostly true, but I still say we should celebrate him, and I'll explain why today.

00:00:15.220 Also, Southwest canceled thousands of flights this weekend, right as its employees went on strike over its vaccine mandates.

00:00:21.920 But the media and Southwest both insist that the two issues are not connected at all.

00:00:25.820 Plus, the family of the Texas school shooter continues to defend him, even though he brought a gun to school and shot people.

00:00:31.580 And in our daily cancellation, we'll talk about one of the most nauseating, one of the most sickening ESPN segments ever aired on the network.

00:00:37.820 And that is really saying something. We'll play that today for you.

00:00:40.980 All of that and much more on the Matt Wall Show.

00:00:52.120 Well, you know, I love all of my sponsors here on the Matt Wall Show.

00:02:01.020 Please allow me to be the first and perhaps at this point the only person to wish you a happy Columbus Day.

00:02:11.400 Well, I'm not the only one.

00:02:12.200 We have some other Columbus fans here at The Daily Wire,

00:02:14.140 and there are more scattered throughout the country.

00:02:15.800 But the number of people who will acknowledge and show proper appreciation for Columbus

00:02:20.320 or any other of the heroes of Western civilization is dwindling rapidly. 0.89

00:02:25.980 More and more, our country is overrun by historically illiterate halfwits

00:02:30.840 who insist that we cannot celebrate the great men of our history

00:02:34.000 because those great historical men made the mistake of being historical rather than modern.

00:02:40.080 What's more, they committed the crime of being mere men and not angels.

00:02:43.680 They had flaws.

00:02:44.760 They were not perfect. 1.00

00:02:46.100 And if they weren't perfect, then they were scum, 0.99

00:02:47.840 and all of their achievements were dirt and ash amounting to nothing. 0.99

00:02:51.920 That's the popular modern attitude anyway.

00:02:54.080 And it's an attitude especially prevalent in people who themselves have never achieved

00:02:58.960 a single thing of note at all in their lives.

00:03:01.720 They've never done anything of value in their entire lives.

00:03:04.760 They've contributed absolutely nothing to the world whatsoever,

00:03:08.720 and yet they feel qualified to scoff at the achievements of the people

00:03:12.560 who made their luxurious lives possible.

00:03:15.540 They don't even see the irony in mocking Columbus for his alleged navigational deficiencies,

00:03:20.400 even as these same people can't make it a half a mile to the Walgreens down the street

00:03:24.940 without the assistance of a satellite.

00:03:27.180 I mean, they need a satellite, a phone, a car, just to make it a half mile.

00:03:31.500 All of the technology that the world can offer them, they need just for that trip.

00:03:38.180 Christopher Columbus, navigating completely uncharted waters half a millennium ago,

00:03:43.240 did not have those technological advantages.

00:03:46.320 He had to make his way through the mostly unknown sea across thousands of treacherous miles

00:03:51.420 using the stars and dead reckoning and other techniques that would flummox his modern critics,

00:03:59.080 all of whom would be shipwrecked at about 45 minutes if they were in the same situation.

00:04:03.360 But Columbus survived the first voyage and discovered a whole part of the globe

00:04:09.540 that was unknown to his civilization at the time.

00:04:13.260 And this is when the modern losers again chime in with one of the two or three bits of information

00:04:18.800 that they know about this subject, all of which they acquired from Twitter memes,

00:04:22.760 and they announced that Columbus, he didn't even mean to discover the Americas.

00:04:25.940 He was trying to find Asia.

00:04:27.580 Ha! 0.89

00:04:27.980 What a dope! 0.80

00:04:29.680 Yes, of course Columbus didn't mean to discover the Americas. 1.00

00:04:32.380 Because, you idiots, nobody knew that it existed. 0.99

00:04:36.440 How does that undermine the significance of the discovery? 1.00

00:04:39.960 If some future team of astronauts accidentally discover a life-bearing moon of Jupiter

00:04:45.540 on their way to, I don't know, explore Pluto,

00:04:49.220 should we dismiss their groundbreaking history-shaping discovery on the basis

00:04:53.180 that they originally intended to make a different groundbreaking history-shaping discovery?

00:04:58.180 Would you sit back here on Earth on your couch and say,

00:05:00.660 what a bunch of dorks, they were trying to find Pluto and accidentally discovered extraterrestrial life instead? 0.97

00:05:07.100 Perhaps you would. 0.99

00:05:08.580 But that says more about you than any of the explorers who are out changing the world 1.00

00:05:12.600 while you sit on your fat ass injecting Cheez Whiz straight into your veins. 1.00

00:05:17.020 Over the course of Columbus's voyages, he discovered many Caribbean islands 1.00

00:05:21.180 and explored the coasts of South and Central America.

00:05:24.440 He didn't make it to what is now the continental United States,

00:05:27.620 but he made it possible for future explorers to soon find it.

00:05:32.320 And that's quite an achievement, I would say.

00:05:34.980 Or must he be blamed for only discovering half of the Western Hemisphere

00:05:39.240 while neglecting to discover the other half?

00:05:41.620 The point with Columbus is that he was one of the men, one of the primary men,

00:05:46.800 to bring civilization to this side of the globe.

00:05:50.760 He planted the seeds for the society that we all live in today.

00:05:56.280 If Columbus never existed, your life would be very different.

00:06:00.960 In fact, your life, you might not exist at all yourself.

00:06:03.080 And it would be different in a much worse way.

00:06:09.320 He was a great explorer.

00:06:11.520 He was not a great governor or administrator.

00:06:14.160 Yes, he also took slaves.

00:06:15.780 He executed both Spaniards and Indians under his rule.

00:06:19.780 He took gold.

00:06:22.140 He was not nearly as good at leading men on dry land

00:06:26.100 as he was at leading men while they were on the sea.

00:06:29.200 This was a common flaw of explorers of that era.

00:06:31.420 Many of them were brilliant on their ships,

00:06:34.120 but incompetent to even horrible on solid ground.

00:06:37.680 Magellan made it three quarters of the way around the globe

00:06:40.720 before getting himself killed in a needless conflict

00:06:43.300 with a tribe in the Philippines.

00:06:45.780 See, a certain type of man was needed to navigate a fleet of ships

00:06:49.280 across uncharted waters.

00:06:51.960 A different kind of man was needed to manage settlements.

00:06:54.960 These are different skills.

00:06:57.640 But the thing is, back in those days,

00:06:59.560 if you were a captain of one of these ships,

00:07:01.420 you had to be everything.

00:07:02.580 You had to play all of these roles.

00:07:05.080 You had to be an expert in every conceivable area.

00:07:11.100 Unfortunately, you know, the latter type,

00:07:13.560 the ones that were actually good at managing settlements,

00:07:15.580 they had no way of getting to the settlement

00:07:17.360 except by hitching a ride with the former type.

00:07:20.760 And the former, they weren't often willing to cede control

00:07:23.660 of the land they had just gone through

00:07:25.080 all the trouble of discovering.

00:07:26.080 That was the issue.

00:07:29.240 Now, we can acknowledge these realities

00:07:31.220 while still honoring the achievements

00:07:32.840 of the people who shaped the world we all currently,

00:07:36.000 and most of us passively, occupy.

00:07:38.880 Here's the problem.

00:07:39.740 If we're saying that the brutality and violence

00:07:43.280 of historical figures entirely negates the good they did

00:07:46.780 and the things they achieved,

00:07:49.200 then we've painted with a brush so broad

00:07:52.020 that it erases everyone.

00:07:53.540 And I mean everyone.

00:07:55.460 That's one of the things that makes the push

00:07:57.240 to replace Columbus Day with Indigenous People's Day 0.94

00:07:59.580 so incredibly ridiculous. 0.83

00:08:02.220 And that's a push that's almost succeeded. 0.92

00:08:03.840 In fact, Joe Biden on Friday

00:08:05.060 became the first president in history

00:08:07.620 to issue an Indigenous People's Day proclamation,

00:08:10.240 officially acknowledging the holiday

00:08:11.660 that is meant to replace,

00:08:13.260 not only replace, but be an apology for,

00:08:16.440 Columbus Day.

00:08:17.900 But the problem should be obvious

00:08:19.620 to anybody with an above room temperature IQ,

00:08:22.740 which means that it's not obvious

00:08:24.260 to very many people these days.

00:08:27.060 If we cannot celebrate Columbus Day

00:08:28.940 because the European explorers and settlers

00:08:31.380 practiced conquest and slavery,

00:08:33.640 how can we celebrate Indigenous People's Day

00:08:36.120 seeing how Indigenous people practice

00:08:38.780 an even more ruthless form of conquest and slavery?

00:08:42.820 Despite what you may have heard,

00:08:45.040 Europeans did not introduce these forms of brutality

00:08:47.960 to these shores.

00:08:50.020 The Indian tribes had already discovered them 1.00

00:08:52.440 for themselves and often took it several steps farther.

00:08:55.640 For example, the most powerful tribes

00:08:57.200 in Mesoamerica would take slaves 0.92

00:08:59.280 and then add the extra step

00:09:00.640 of cutting their beating hearts out of their chests 0.98

00:09:02.560 and sometimes consuming their carcasses.

00:09:05.680 Not all tribes had human sacrifice,

00:09:07.700 but they all lived by the law of conquest.

00:09:10.220 If you wanted land, you took it.

00:09:11.860 If you wanted to keep it, you had to defend it.

00:09:13.700 If you couldn't defend it,

00:09:14.900 your land would be conquered.

00:09:17.280 And among Indians, it also meant

00:09:18.780 that part of conquering land,

00:09:20.660 if your land was conquered,

00:09:22.020 it meant that all of your men 0.99

00:09:23.660 would be tortured and killed 1.00

00:09:24.700 and your daughters would be taken as sex slaves. 1.00

00:09:28.620 That's just the way it worked. 0.99

00:09:30.240 That's the way it worked everywhere

00:09:31.480 among nearly all Indigenous people.

00:09:35.060 If the Europeans were land thieves, 0.98

00:09:37.500 they were stealing from thieves. 0.95

00:09:40.100 If they were conquerors,

00:09:41.500 they were conquering conquerors.

00:09:42.980 If they were killers, 0.96

00:09:44.740 they were killing killers.

00:09:46.840 Does that make it all okay?

00:09:49.180 Not necessarily,

00:09:50.200 but it does complicate the black and white.

00:09:52.340 It does complicate sort of the black and white

00:09:54.120 victim versus oppressor model

00:09:56.740 that we've come up with in modern times.

00:09:58.620 And it does also raise the question

00:10:00.240 as to why we should celebrate

00:10:02.280 one group of oppressive conquerors,

00:10:04.440 the Indians, and not the other.

00:10:07.100 See, once we understand historical context

00:10:09.080 and we see that history was a brutal time

00:10:12.580 filled with violent people

00:10:14.960 and that every inhabited inch of the globe

00:10:17.760 has been settled through war

00:10:19.060 and every line has been drawn in blood,

00:10:21.960 once we see all of that,

00:10:23.540 the only sensible thing

00:10:24.600 is to accept that reality

00:10:26.080 and thank God that our reality

00:10:28.260 is a little bit less bleak than that,

00:10:30.100 a little bit less,

00:10:31.260 and then decide who to honor and celebrate

00:10:34.160 based on their achievements.

00:10:36.320 See, if we focus on sin,

00:10:37.820 if that's the only thing

00:10:39.140 we're thinking about,

00:10:40.160 there are no winners.

00:10:42.200 No one is worthy

00:10:43.240 if that's all we're focusing on.

00:10:45.400 And that's the case even today.

00:10:47.940 But if we focus on achievement,

00:10:50.520 if that's what we're looking at,

00:10:53.220 how does it all shake out?

00:10:55.280 I mean, are we celebrating

00:10:56.300 Indigenous People's Day

00:10:57.480 because of their achievements?

00:10:59.380 Is that holiday supplanting Columbus Day

00:11:01.640 because the achievements of Indigenous people

00:11:04.140 were greater than Columbus's achievements?

00:11:05.880 Well, if that's the case,

00:11:08.700 what were their achievements exactly?

00:11:12.340 And that's a sincere question.

00:11:16.080 I'm not asking it rhetorically.

00:11:17.940 What were their achievements?

00:11:20.280 If you're asking me

00:11:21.220 to celebrate Indigenous People's Day,

00:11:23.340 what were the achievements

00:11:24.240 of these Indigenous people?

00:11:25.440 What am I celebrating exactly?

00:11:27.980 Am I just celebrating them for existing?

00:11:30.020 Is that the achievement?

00:11:34.100 Now, we know that the Native tribes

00:11:36.060 were about 3,000 or 4,000 years

00:11:38.320 behind European civilization 0.85

00:11:40.340 in terms of technology,

00:11:42.220 art, philosophy, government,

00:11:43.700 and in pretty much every other way.

00:11:46.940 I mean, the most advanced civilizations

00:11:49.680 in this part of the world

00:11:50.860 were building pyramids.

00:11:53.860 The most advanced ones.

00:11:56.520 Many other tribes

00:11:57.380 hadn't even discovered agriculture.

00:11:58.700 So, what are we celebrating

00:12:02.340 on Indigenous People's Day?

00:12:04.700 I think the proclamation

00:12:05.820 from Joe Biden clears things up.

00:12:07.480 He writes in general terms

00:12:08.880 about the contributions

00:12:09.620 of Native tribes,

00:12:10.680 but he doesn't list any specific ones.

00:12:12.680 And then he has this.

00:12:13.360 He says, quote,

00:12:14.300 the federal government

00:12:15.000 has a solemn obligation

00:12:16.200 to lift up and invest

00:12:17.440 in the future of Indigenous people

00:12:18.860 and empower tribal nations

00:12:20.120 to govern their own communities

00:12:21.740 and make their own decisions.

00:12:23.040 We must never forget

00:12:24.460 the centuries-long campaign

00:12:25.940 of violence, displacement,

00:12:27.260 assimilation, terror, 0.98

00:12:28.200 wrought upon Native communities 1.00

00:12:29.420 and tribal nations

00:12:30.100 throughout our country.

00:12:31.660 Today, we acknowledge

00:12:32.360 the significant sacrifices

00:12:33.500 made by Native people

00:12:34.560 to this country

00:12:35.160 and recognize their many

00:12:36.760 ongoing contributions

00:12:37.800 to our nation.

00:12:40.020 Okay.

00:12:40.640 So, it's not really

00:12:41.320 about contributions.

00:12:43.520 It's about victim status.

00:12:45.020 Because we don't honor

00:12:46.680 achievements anymore.

00:12:47.660 If we did,

00:12:48.340 Columbus would still have

00:12:49.180 his holiday all to himself.

00:12:51.560 Instead, we honor victimhood.

00:12:54.240 Even if the victims

00:12:55.460 were victimizers themselves.

00:12:58.320 Even so,

00:12:59.800 all that matters

00:13:01.220 is who can plant their flag

00:13:03.100 the highest up

00:13:04.060 on victim mountain.

00:13:06.680 That's what we're supposed

00:13:07.660 to celebrate today.

00:13:08.360 And it's twisted

00:13:10.940 and backwards

00:13:11.520 and perverse.

00:13:13.920 It breeds a society

00:13:15.440 of passive weaklings

00:13:16.720 seeking always

00:13:17.640 to become victims themselves

00:13:19.220 because that's where

00:13:19.920 the power lies.

00:13:22.320 That's where affirmation

00:13:23.760 and celebration

00:13:24.540 lies.

00:13:26.520 That's where you gain it.

00:13:28.980 And that's the society

00:13:30.200 that we're building.

00:13:30.860 Rather than building

00:13:31.760 a society of bold

00:13:32.860 and courageous people

00:13:33.820 who admire men

00:13:34.960 for their accomplishments

00:13:35.880 and seek to achieve

00:13:37.960 greatness themselves.

00:13:40.140 See, personally,

00:13:41.040 I prefer the latter approach.

00:13:43.560 And that is reason enough

00:13:45.000 among many other reasons

00:13:47.040 to say again,

00:13:49.200 happy Columbus Day.

00:13:51.120 Now, let's get to

00:13:51.920 our five headlines.

00:13:59.140 Well, you've heard,

00:14:00.320 I'm sure,

00:14:00.560 about hardware and software,

00:14:01.980 but you may not know

00:14:03.000 about bloatware.

00:14:04.340 Bloatware is software

00:14:05.340 that is preloaded

00:14:06.420 on a new device

00:14:07.220 that you never asked for

00:14:08.640 and could be

00:14:09.220 potentially harmful.

00:14:10.620 And it could slow

00:14:29.220 your credit,

00:14:29.740 everything.

00:14:36.900 to discover on your own

00:14:37.920 if you're just checking

00:14:38.520 your credit score

00:14:39.340 or you're checking

00:14:39.980 your bank accounts,

00:14:41.100 like if your social security

00:14:42.180 number is for sale

00:14:42.880 on the dark web,

00:14:43.580 things like that

00:14:44.200 that you need LifeLock for.

00:15:11.300 So Media Matters

00:15:12.400 will have some fun

00:15:13.020 with that opening segment

00:15:14.380 as we move on to this

00:15:19.420 from the Daily Wire.

00:15:20.000 So Southwest Airlines

00:15:21.080 canceled nearly 2,000 flights

00:15:23.200 over the weekend,

00:15:24.440 grounding thousands

00:15:25.400 of travelers

00:15:26.080 and would-be passengers

00:15:26.980 over what it referred to

00:15:28.080 as air traffic control

00:15:29.480 and weather problems

00:15:30.680 affecting its service.

00:15:33.540 According to FlightAware,

00:15:35.020 a flight tracking service,

00:15:36.120 Southwest Airlines

00:15:36.680 canceled just over 800 flights

00:15:38.480 on Saturday

00:15:39.100 and delayed more than

00:15:40.540 one-third of its service.

00:15:42.380 On Sunday,

00:15:42.960 the airliner canceled

00:15:43.880 over 1,000 flights,

00:15:45.860 a little over 1,000 flights,

00:15:46.700 or 28% of the day's

00:15:48.340 Southwest flights.

00:15:50.300 Southwest Airlines

00:15:51.080 said in a statement

00:15:51.740 on Twitter,

00:15:52.220 air traffic control issues

00:15:53.200 and disruptive weather

00:15:54.360 have resulted in a high volume

00:15:55.800 of cancellations

00:15:56.540 throughout the weekend

00:15:57.240 while we work

00:15:58.240 to recover our operation.

00:15:59.420 We appreciate your patience

00:16:00.220 as we accommodate

00:16:00.800 affected customers

00:16:02.120 and customer service.

00:16:02.840 Wait times are longer

00:16:03.640 than usual,

00:16:04.240 but some have speculated

00:16:06.080 that many flights

00:16:06.780 were canceled due to a strike

00:16:07.920 among Southwest pilots.

00:16:09.060 The Southwest Airlines

00:16:10.600 Pilot Association,

00:16:11.840 which on Friday

00:16:12.820 asked the courts

00:16:13.800 to temporarily stop

00:16:14.880 a COVID-19 vaccine mandate

00:16:16.080 for members

00:16:16.680 alleging a violation

00:16:18.080 of labor law,

00:16:19.040 has denied the theory

00:16:20.520 as behind the cancellations

00:16:21.700 and they're saying

00:16:24.700 it's also operational difficulties.

00:16:27.140 And so that's what

00:16:27.500 we're getting for everyone.

00:16:28.240 We know that

00:16:29.060 there was this

00:16:31.000 strike

00:16:33.140 among Southwest

00:16:35.100 employees,

00:16:36.800 especially Southwest pilots,

00:16:37.920 because, you know,

00:16:40.920 for some reason

00:16:41.820 to be a pilot

00:16:43.220 of a commercial aircraft,

00:16:44.540 you need to have a vaccine.

00:16:47.300 Not exactly sure

00:16:48.200 why that's the case.

00:16:50.840 See, me,

00:16:51.600 when I'm on a plane,

00:16:53.500 especially as a highly anxious

00:16:55.220 flyer myself,

00:16:57.380 and I'm sitting there

00:16:58.360 in the, you know,

00:16:59.260 in the cabin,

00:17:02.120 the only thing

00:17:03.800 I'm worried about

00:17:05.920 is whether that

00:17:06.920 the pilot

00:17:07.660 is really good

00:17:09.000 at flying planes.

00:17:09.700 That's the only thing

00:17:10.240 I care about.

00:17:11.380 I don't care about

00:17:12.100 any other qualification.

00:17:14.220 I just want,

00:17:14.980 I just want to know

00:17:15.860 that you have

00:17:16.320 the best of the best.

00:17:17.860 The person flying the plane,

00:17:19.200 he's doing it

00:17:19.780 because he's the best one

00:17:20.640 for the job.

00:17:22.320 That's the only thing.

00:17:23.760 Whether he's vaxxed,

00:17:24.700 I don't care what he's vaccinated

00:17:25.620 or not vaccinated.

00:17:26.540 It doesn't,

00:17:26.860 it doesn't make

00:17:27.140 any difference to me.

00:17:29.860 I think probably

00:17:30.520 most customers

00:17:31.180 feel the same.

00:17:31.700 But

00:17:34.560 they have this strike

00:17:37.180 and then they're

00:17:38.220 still canceling flights.

00:17:40.200 All these flights

00:17:40.900 grounded and you can see

00:17:42.180 some of the videos

00:17:43.520 if you go online

00:17:44.240 of just turmoil

00:17:46.380 in these

00:17:47.380 airport terminals

00:17:49.520 all across the country

00:17:50.300 because all these

00:17:50.840 flights are being canceled.

00:17:52.340 The strange thing

00:17:53.100 is that, yeah,

00:17:53.640 they're saying it's,

00:17:54.380 well, it's operational

00:17:55.160 difficulties,

00:17:55.800 it's weather.

00:17:58.280 Well, the weather

00:17:58.960 has been,

00:17:59.620 last few days,

00:18:00.400 pretty nice

00:18:01.020 in most places

00:18:02.940 around the country.

00:18:04.860 And if that was the case,

00:18:05.860 then you would think

00:18:06.500 you would see

00:18:07.240 all of the other

00:18:09.160 air,

00:18:09.520 usually when there's

00:18:10.520 cancellations

00:18:11.640 and they're grounding

00:18:12.200 flights because of weather,

00:18:13.820 if you've ever,

00:18:14.380 if you've been in an airport

00:18:15.400 when there's a bad storm

00:18:16.600 coming through

00:18:16.900 and they're grounding

00:18:17.360 flights,

00:18:18.700 you know how it works.

00:18:20.480 You can't just go over

00:18:21.220 to another airline.

00:18:22.060 They're grounding

00:18:22.500 all the flights

00:18:23.140 because this is coming

00:18:24.620 from air traffic control.

00:18:27.200 So air traffic control

00:18:28.380 is grounding

00:18:28.980 only Southwest flights

00:18:30.620 because of weather?

00:18:32.780 That doesn't make

00:18:33.460 a lot of sense.

00:18:35.140 The Daily Wire continues

00:18:36.220 here with more information

00:18:37.040 about this.

00:18:37.460 It says,

00:18:37.620 none of the three other

00:18:38.520 major airlines

00:18:39.380 in the U.S.

00:18:39.940 came close to the number

00:18:40.920 of Southwest canceled flights,

00:18:42.840 although American Airlines

00:18:44.420 also canceled

00:18:45.020 a sizable number,

00:18:45.960 149,

00:18:46.740 or the equivalent

00:18:47.120 of 5% 0.63

00:18:47.920 of Sunday service

00:18:48.820 as of Sunday evening.

00:18:51.340 That's still like

00:18:51.980 a tenth of what

00:18:53.180 Southwest canceled.

00:18:55.400 United Airlines

00:18:56.120 canceled nine flights

00:18:57.240 on Sunday

00:18:57.740 and Delta Airlines

00:18:58.640 canceled three flights.

00:19:00.800 So you've got

00:19:01.380 over 1,000

00:19:02.360 versus three.

00:19:04.460 And this is supposed

00:19:05.160 to be weather related.

00:19:08.460 Now it seems

00:19:09.120 pretty clear

00:19:10.620 to anyone

00:19:12.280 who's thinking rationally

00:19:13.240 about this

00:19:13.580 what's going on.

00:19:14.980 There was a strike.

00:19:16.060 They don't have the pilots.

00:19:17.240 They don't have the personnel

00:19:17.940 to fly the planes.

00:19:18.840 And that's why

00:19:19.280 they're all being grounded.

00:19:21.540 And yet there is this,

00:19:22.860 once again,

00:19:24.400 this full-on

00:19:26.240 Soviet-style 0.76

00:19:27.400 propaganda campaign

00:19:28.740 happening

00:19:29.200 from Southwest

00:19:31.040 and the media

00:19:31.940 where they're just

00:19:33.020 lying to our face.

00:19:36.160 There's a,

00:19:36.780 there's a,

00:19:37.180 there's a strike

00:19:38.020 announced among pilots

00:19:39.640 because of the vaccine mandate.

00:19:40.880 Next thing you know,

00:19:41.580 flights are grounded,

00:19:42.940 thousands,

00:19:43.720 only among Southwest

00:19:44.920 flights.

00:19:46.480 And they tell us,

00:19:47.460 ah,

00:19:47.760 it's got nothing to do with it.

00:19:49.260 It's a totally

00:19:49.780 separate issue.

00:19:50.540 They're lying about it.

00:19:54.820 Why would they lie

00:19:55.520 about this?

00:19:56.700 That's kind of

00:19:57.300 an interesting question.

00:19:59.280 Because you,

00:20:00.000 I mean,

00:20:00.300 usually the media,

00:20:01.520 especially,

00:20:02.160 they're,

00:20:02.320 they're eager

00:20:02.800 to tell us about

00:20:03.780 people,

00:20:05.720 you know,

00:20:06.420 protesting

00:20:06.940 or upset about

00:20:07.640 vaccine mandates.

00:20:08.920 If there's a protest

00:20:09.980 or a rally somewhere,

00:20:11.680 the media is,

00:20:12.900 has no problem

00:20:13.720 showing us the images

00:20:14.740 of that

00:20:15.140 and telling us about it.

00:20:17.540 But why would they be

00:20:19.300 especially reluctant

00:20:21.400 to acknowledge

00:20:22.320 airline pilots

00:20:24.820 who are protesting

00:20:27.220 over the mandate?

00:20:29.060 Well,

00:20:29.540 I think it's because

00:20:30.020 it's,

00:20:30.240 it's harder to caricature.

00:20:31.960 See,

00:20:32.300 the caricature they have

00:20:33.780 of people who are

00:20:34.760 against vaccine mandates

00:20:36.520 and of course,

00:20:36.920 they equate that

00:20:37.560 with being anti-vax,

00:20:38.740 even though

00:20:39.180 the two things

00:20:40.160 are not the same

00:20:40.960 necessarily at all.

00:20:42.940 I mean,

00:20:43.260 I,

00:20:43.460 I would,

00:20:44.020 I would venture to say

00:20:44.900 the vast majority

00:20:45.860 of people who are

00:20:46.820 anti-vaccine mandate

00:20:48.500 are not necessarily

00:20:49.520 anti-vax.

00:20:52.600 But usually

00:20:53.420 the caricature

00:20:54.160 is that these are

00:20:54.940 all a bunch of 1.00

00:20:55.700 dumb, 1.00

00:20:57.040 you know, 1.00

00:20:58.220 like high school

00:21:00.100 dropouts

00:21:01.020 and that's a bunch of,

00:21:02.960 we're all a bunch 1.00

00:21:03.620 of dumb rednecks 1.00

00:21:04.540 and that's, 1.00

00:21:05.400 that's all.

00:21:05.740 Those are the only people

00:21:06.260 that care about the mandates.

00:21:09.560 Anti-science,

00:21:10.880 don't understand.

00:21:11.560 Well,

00:21:12.540 it's hard to do that

00:21:15.060 with airline pilots.

00:21:16.180 These are obviously

00:21:18.420 highly intelligent,

00:21:19.400 highly skilled,

00:21:20.080 highly educated people

00:21:21.720 and they have to have

00:21:22.500 a pretty good grasp

00:21:23.300 of science.

00:21:24.760 Maybe not medical science,

00:21:26.040 but you know,

00:21:26.380 it's hard to be

00:21:27.700 an anti-science

00:21:28.880 airline pilot.

00:21:31.680 You're not going to be

00:21:32.340 in that job for very long

00:21:33.420 and you're going to take down

00:21:34.180 a lot of people with you

00:21:34.960 probably,

00:21:35.480 literally speaking,

00:21:36.160 if you're anti-science

00:21:37.160 as an airline pilot.

00:21:38.320 So it's,

00:21:38.860 that's a harder thing

00:21:39.860 to characterize.

00:21:40.260 So they'd rather

00:21:40.840 just ignore.

00:21:41.420 They know,

00:21:41.660 they don't want you

00:21:42.020 to know that

00:21:42.480 airline pilots

00:21:43.560 are against

00:21:44.320 the vaccine mandate too.

00:21:45.540 They don't want you

00:21:46.000 to know that.

00:21:49.080 And yet this is exactly

00:21:49.920 what needs to happen.

00:21:52.320 People saying,

00:21:53.760 we will not comply,

00:21:54.840 saying we're just

00:21:55.380 not going to do it,

00:21:56.160 we're not going to go

00:21:56.660 along with it.

00:21:59.000 And,

00:21:59.420 and refusing,

00:22:02.900 and that refusal

00:22:03.620 causes real consequences.

00:22:06.740 I mean,

00:22:07.240 Southwest is hurting

00:22:08.400 right now.

00:22:08.940 And there's consequences

00:22:11.240 for,

00:22:11.760 for lots of people

00:22:13.100 who are not.

00:22:13.460 I mean,

00:22:13.620 they're,

00:22:13.760 they're passengers

00:22:14.940 who need to get on a plane

00:22:16.240 and go somewhere.

00:22:18.420 And it's causing

00:22:19.160 inconvenience for them,

00:22:19.980 but it's a necessary

00:22:20.680 inconvenience.

00:22:24.400 This is a good,

00:22:25.240 this is a good model

00:22:26.240 for everyone.

00:22:26.740 And that's another reason

00:22:27.600 why they don't want us

00:22:28.200 to know about it.

00:22:31.660 Because it shows us

00:22:32.480 the kind of power,

00:22:33.120 even if we're not

00:22:33.560 airline pilots,

00:22:34.340 it shows us the power

00:22:35.320 that we have

00:22:35.940 if we simply say,

00:22:36.920 no,

00:22:37.260 here's the line,

00:22:39.040 I've drawn it,

00:22:40.060 not going to let you

00:22:40.660 cross it,

00:22:41.600 I'm not going to

00:22:42.320 comply with it.

00:22:44.480 When you do that,

00:22:46.020 here's what can happen.

00:22:48.740 It is a good model

00:22:49.700 and they don't want us

00:22:50.180 to see that model.

00:22:52.060 All right,

00:22:52.580 let's,

00:22:53.080 on the issue of mandates,

00:22:54.920 if you guys are ready

00:22:55.780 to maybe have your

00:22:57.480 cold,

00:22:58.020 callous hearts

00:22:58.680 warmed a little bit,

00:22:59.980 I don't play a lot

00:23:00.620 of heartwarming stuff

00:23:01.660 on this show.

00:23:02.620 It's not really,

00:23:03.340 it's not really my brand,

00:23:04.760 but here's a video

00:23:05.740 of a mom

00:23:06.340 telling her son

00:23:07.340 as he arrives

00:23:08.440 home from school

00:23:09.220 holding his mask

00:23:10.560 in his hand,

00:23:11.500 telling her that

00:23:12.100 she took his school

00:23:13.080 to court over

00:23:13.780 the mask mandates

00:23:14.800 and won.

00:23:16.760 And it's just

00:23:17.700 pretty powerful

00:23:18.200 to see the little

00:23:19.420 kid's reaction.

00:23:20.360 Watch this.

00:23:20.740 can I tell you

00:23:24.120 something?

00:23:25.640 So,

00:23:26.400 there were some

00:23:28.080 parents

00:23:28.720 of Bentonville

00:23:30.140 School,

00:23:30.540 some of my friends,

00:23:31.960 who took the school

00:23:33.780 to court.

00:23:35.640 Okay?

00:23:36.380 They took them

00:23:36.860 to court

00:23:37.320 saying that they

00:23:38.740 can't mandate masks.

00:23:40.840 And we won.

00:23:42.000 starting tomorrow,

00:23:50.700 baby,

00:23:51.020 you don't have to wear,

00:23:52.500 oh,

00:23:52.880 it's going to be

00:23:53.480 so weird.

00:23:58.100 So here he says,

00:23:58.880 he says it's going

00:23:59.600 to be so,

00:24:00.260 and he says it

00:24:00.720 in a positive way,

00:24:01.480 of course,

00:24:01.900 the kid's overcome

00:24:02.740 with emotion,

00:24:03.320 doesn't have to wear

00:24:03.680 the mask to school

00:24:04.360 anymore.

00:24:04.700 And you could see

00:24:07.720 why he would

00:24:08.260 feel that way.

00:24:09.340 I mean,

00:24:09.520 I would feel the same way

00:24:10.580 if I was forced

00:24:11.260 to wear a mask

00:24:11.820 for seven hours a day,

00:24:13.580 five days a week,

00:24:15.120 and I finally was told

00:24:16.300 that I could take it off.

00:24:17.340 I think I'd have

00:24:17.920 the same amount

00:24:18.460 of relief.

00:24:19.300 But you hear him

00:24:19.800 say there,

00:24:20.360 oh,

00:24:20.960 it's going to be so weird

00:24:21.620 not wearing the mask.

00:24:22.900 Even though he's happy,

00:24:23.680 he doesn't have to wear it.

00:24:26.960 And this is with a kid

00:24:28.520 who still has his head

00:24:29.240 on straight,

00:24:29.900 fortunately.

00:24:31.960 Enough that he

00:24:32.820 doesn't want to wear it.

00:24:35.380 And even for him,

00:24:36.140 it's like the idea

00:24:36.860 of not wearing the mask

00:24:37.580 is kind of weird

00:24:38.200 because this has been

00:24:39.820 imposed on him

00:24:41.580 so much.

00:24:47.160 And then you think

00:24:48.040 about the kids who,

00:24:50.360 and there are some kids

00:24:51.220 who would be upset

00:24:53.400 if they're told

00:24:54.860 that they couldn't wear it.

00:24:55.760 Getting rid of the mask

00:24:56.820 mandate doesn't mean

00:24:57.340 that you can't wear it.

00:24:59.680 But there are some kids,

00:25:00.660 if they were told

00:25:01.120 that they can't wear

00:25:01.700 the mask anymore,

00:25:02.340 they'd be upset

00:25:03.120 and afraid.

00:25:04.700 not because they need it,

00:25:07.500 but because they have

00:25:08.400 become so psychologically

00:25:09.320 dependent on it

00:25:10.100 and they've been convinced

00:25:11.220 by the abuse of adults

00:25:12.920 in their life

00:25:13.520 that the air itself

00:25:15.320 is toxic

00:25:15.800 and if they breathe it,

00:25:16.500 they might die.

00:25:18.800 So you see this kind

00:25:19.660 of conditioning,

00:25:20.700 even with a kid

00:25:22.000 who has resisted it

00:25:23.220 up until now.

00:25:25.320 But more importantly,

00:25:26.200 what you see from there

00:25:26.880 is that this is,

00:25:27.920 you know,

00:25:28.140 this is no small thing.

00:25:29.440 telling kids

00:25:32.420 to wear the mask

00:25:33.000 every day.

00:25:34.860 I guess the mask cultists,

00:25:37.360 those of us who say

00:25:38.620 we don't want to wear

00:25:39.100 the mask,

00:25:40.060 we're accused

00:25:41.660 of being petty

00:25:42.460 and weak.

00:25:44.320 Like,

00:25:44.760 somehow, 0.96

00:25:45.080 we're the cowards. 0.96

00:25:46.740 I love that. 0.94

00:25:47.720 The way they flip

00:25:48.820 that one around.

00:25:49.760 Somehow,

00:25:50.540 they don't want

00:25:51.460 to leave their house

00:25:52.180 without a muzzle

00:25:53.220 on their face. 0.98

00:25:54.800 And we're the cowards 0.97

00:25:56.180 if we're willing to, 0.96

00:25:57.920 if we're willing

00:25:59.020 to walk outside

00:25:59.680 and breathe fresh air. 0.99

00:26:02.580 We're the cowards 0.64

00:26:03.460 for not wearing it. 0.80

00:26:04.860 That's how they want

00:26:05.380 to flip it around.

00:26:06.940 Are they going to say that

00:26:07.880 to that child there

00:26:09.180 who doesn't want

00:26:10.480 to wear it anymore?

00:26:12.140 I guess so.

00:26:14.600 All right,

00:26:15.120 next,

00:26:15.340 this is from

00:26:15.700 the New York Post.

00:26:16.340 It says,

00:26:16.740 the Texas teen

00:26:17.860 who injured four people

00:26:18.800 when he allegedly

00:26:19.380 opened fire

00:26:19.960 at his high school

00:26:21.460 celebrated his release

00:26:23.440 from jail

00:26:24.120 with a welcome home party

00:26:25.740 even as one of the victims

00:26:27.560 remains in a coma.

00:26:29.620 Timothy Simpkins,

00:26:30.400 18,

00:26:31.320 we've told you about this case,

00:26:32.440 attends Timberview High School

00:26:33.620 in Arlington,

00:26:34.900 posted $75,000 bail,

00:26:37.000 then headed

00:26:37.640 to home confinement.

00:26:40.100 And,

00:26:40.480 um,

00:26:41.820 one of his victims

00:26:42.760 is still in a coma.

00:26:44.420 There was another teacher

00:26:45.420 that was shot in the back,

00:26:46.920 uh,

00:26:47.180 who's,

00:26:47.720 fortunately,

00:26:48.020 is out of the hospital,

00:26:49.760 was not,

00:26:50.180 was not,

00:26:50.720 um,

00:26:51.520 was not critically wounded.

00:26:54.020 But then he gets home

00:26:54.900 and they have,

00:26:55.420 and there are images,

00:26:56.120 there are pictures

00:26:56.500 of this online.

00:26:57.200 They've got balloons

00:26:57.740 and everything.

00:26:58.040 They throw him a,

00:26:58.680 a coming home party,

00:26:59.940 welcome home party

00:27:00.560 from jail

00:27:01.140 after bringing a gun

00:27:01.840 to school 0.57

00:27:02.180 and shooting someone. 0.98

00:27:04.160 And here they are, 0.52

00:27:05.960 you don't,

00:27:07.200 you,

00:27:07.580 like,

00:27:07.780 never see this

00:27:08.700 with school shootings.

00:27:10.040 I think it's probably

00:27:10.620 the first time

00:27:11.340 that the,

00:27:13.340 that the,

00:27:13.800 the family has come out

00:27:15.220 and unapologetically,

00:27:17.680 explicitly defended

00:27:19.060 their kid

00:27:20.500 who brought a gun

00:27:20.980 to school

00:27:21.300 and fired it 0.98

00:27:21.920 and shot people. 0.89

00:27:22.600 So here they are

00:27:23.920 outside their house

00:27:24.740 locking arms

00:27:25.800 and once again

00:27:27.160 offering this

00:27:27.920 full-throated defense 1.00

00:27:29.300 of their,

00:27:29.920 um,

00:27:30.540 school shooter son.

00:27:32.000 Listen.

00:27:33.180 There's a video

00:27:34.300 that's all out

00:27:35.340 on social media

00:27:36.400 and it shows

00:27:37.500 that he was being attacked.

00:27:39.680 It wasn't just one person

00:27:41.440 that would attack him

00:27:43.380 and bully him,

00:27:44.820 taking his money,

00:27:46.740 harassing him

00:27:47.520 due to the fact

00:27:48.100 because he had more things

00:27:49.960 than maybe others.

00:27:50.760 It takes us all.

00:27:52.920 It takes us all

00:27:54.260 to stand together

00:27:55.660 about this bullying.

00:27:57.360 It could have been

00:27:58.000 a situation

00:27:58.520 where he took

00:27:59.300 the other turn

00:28:00.040 and decided 0.99

00:28:00.740 to commit suicide.

00:28:02.260 What,

00:28:02.820 the decision

00:28:03.360 that he made

00:28:03.980 taking the gun,

00:28:05.480 we're not justifying that.

00:28:07.440 That was not right.

00:28:09.380 But he was trying

00:28:10.420 to protect himself.

00:28:12.060 Yeah,

00:28:14.460 let's,

00:28:14.720 let's stand together.

00:28:16.700 Let's lock arms

00:28:17.680 and stand

00:28:18.200 with the school shooter

00:28:19.000 who brought a gun

00:28:20.820 to school

00:28:21.620 showing some,

00:28:23.720 uh,

00:28:24.020 some premeditation there

00:28:25.260 and then by all reports,

00:28:28.420 by all accounts,

00:28:29.960 fired the gun

00:28:30.960 after the fight

00:28:32.080 had been broken up.

00:28:32.980 That's why he,

00:28:33.920 that's how the teacher

00:28:34.680 got shot

00:28:35.300 in the back

00:28:36.520 because he was

00:28:38.860 breaking up the fight,

00:28:40.220 standing in front

00:28:41.000 of the other kid

00:28:42.120 and then

00:28:43.740 pulls the gun out,

00:28:45.320 I guess,

00:28:45.480 out of his backpack

00:28:46.140 and starts firing it.

00:28:49.120 That's not self-defense.

00:28:50.680 That,

00:28:51.020 again,

00:28:51.260 is revenge

00:28:52.180 on someone

00:28:53.560 who you feel

00:28:54.160 has bullied you.

00:28:56.280 And maybe the other kid

00:28:57.260 was a bully. 0.57

00:28:57.760 But, 0.63

00:29:00.360 you know,

00:29:00.520 this should not be

00:29:01.280 a shocking

00:29:03.240 or controversial

00:29:04.340 thing to say.

00:29:05.620 It's not okay

00:29:06.600 for a student

00:29:07.940 in high school 0.91

00:29:08.500 to shoot 1.00

00:29:09.260 someone who bullied them. 1.00

00:29:12.040 I would hope

00:29:12.860 we could all agree

00:29:13.500 on that.

00:29:14.480 But it seems

00:29:15.240 as though we can't.

00:29:19.060 I know this,

00:29:20.020 like,

00:29:20.220 if there's any

00:29:21.000 larger conversation

00:29:22.480 that we have

00:29:24.320 related to bullying

00:29:25.740 because of this case,

00:29:27.760 and I'm not sure

00:29:29.080 that there needs to be,

00:29:30.600 but if there is,

00:29:31.640 the conversation

00:29:32.260 should not be

00:29:33.060 about bullying.

00:29:33.960 I want to say this again

00:29:34.900 because this is

00:29:35.400 a really important point.

00:29:38.380 As much as we hear

00:29:39.320 about the bullying epidemic

00:29:40.560 in our schools

00:29:41.380 and how bullying

00:29:42.400 is so bad,

00:29:43.300 it's so terrible now.

00:29:44.320 You know,

00:29:44.440 there's a bullying.

00:29:45.740 When people

00:29:47.540 in my parents' generation

00:29:48.580 went to school,

00:29:49.580 there was no talk

00:29:50.700 of a bullying epidemic.

00:29:52.040 Nobody was talking

00:29:52.580 about that.

00:29:53.600 Does that mean

00:29:53.960 that there was no bullying

00:29:54.760 at all,

00:29:55.200 that nobody got bullied?

00:29:56.180 No,

00:29:56.340 of course they did.

00:29:57.760 In fact,

00:29:58.280 if you listen

00:29:58.700 to stories

00:29:59.260 of people

00:29:59.600 in that generation

00:30:00.320 and older,

00:30:00.960 or if you're

00:30:01.360 in that generation

00:30:01.900 yourself,

00:30:02.760 you could probably

00:30:03.320 attest to this,

00:30:04.760 that oftentimes

00:30:05.220 the bullying

00:30:05.780 was significantly worse

00:30:07.520 than anything

00:30:08.620 these kids

00:30:09.240 have to deal

00:30:09.620 with today.

00:30:11.880 And part of that

00:30:12.840 is that there

00:30:13.200 wasn't this

00:30:13.860 zero tolerance

00:30:15.240 against bullying

00:30:15.880 thing,

00:30:16.540 and in some schools

00:30:18.060 anyway,

00:30:18.320 the teachers

00:30:18.700 were not

00:30:19.220 as vigilant

00:30:21.400 about it.

00:30:23.440 and it was

00:30:26.340 seen as more

00:30:27.240 of a kind

00:30:27.580 of normal

00:30:27.980 part of growing

00:30:28.860 up.

00:30:29.500 For better or worse,

00:30:30.340 that's how it was

00:30:30.820 seen.

00:30:31.900 So there was a lot

00:30:32.600 more leeway given

00:30:33.660 to kids back then,

00:30:34.840 and you just,

00:30:36.880 you hear plenty

00:30:38.440 of stories about

00:30:39.040 the kinds of things

00:30:40.160 that kids did 0.86

00:30:42.100 do each other

00:30:42.600 in schools back then,

00:30:43.560 and it's oftentimes

00:30:44.600 much worse.

00:30:45.300 And certainly

00:30:47.700 the fights

00:30:48.520 and the violence

00:30:49.060 could be a lot

00:30:49.580 worse.

00:30:50.920 Now,

00:30:51.280 you didn't have,

00:30:51.800 you didn't hear

00:30:52.100 about the school

00:30:52.500 shootings,

00:30:52.840 and we'll get

00:30:53.060 to that in a second.

00:30:54.740 But fist fights

00:30:55.580 and everything,

00:30:56.020 I mean,

00:30:56.160 these days,

00:30:56.880 in most cases,

00:30:58.660 there's a fist

00:30:59.620 fight in school,

00:31:00.220 it's broken up

00:31:00.800 right away,

00:31:01.860 and then a lot

00:31:03.640 of times both

00:31:04.220 kids are going

00:31:04.640 to be punished

00:31:05.020 for it,

00:31:06.000 which is absurd

00:31:07.480 in of itself.

00:31:07.960 Like,

00:31:08.060 we're not going

00:31:08.340 to take into

00:31:08.720 account who

00:31:09.240 the aggressor

00:31:09.800 was or who

00:31:10.620 started it,

00:31:11.140 like,

00:31:11.260 that doesn't

00:31:11.580 matter at all.

00:31:13.440 But that's

00:31:13.920 what they've done.

00:31:14.280 They've taken

00:31:14.600 this zero-tolerance

00:31:15.380 policy that

00:31:16.560 didn't exist,

00:31:17.400 you know,

00:31:17.660 30,

00:31:17.960 40 years ago

00:31:18.740 and previous

00:31:19.560 to that.

00:31:21.000 So bullying

00:31:21.800 is not new.

00:31:23.220 It's a part

00:31:24.560 of the human

00:31:24.960 condition

00:31:25.460 where people

00:31:27.260 want to assert

00:31:28.380 their dominance

00:31:29.040 over others.

00:31:30.400 And especially

00:31:31.180 if someone

00:31:31.560 is insecure

00:31:32.980 about themselves,

00:31:33.960 they want to

00:31:34.300 make themselves

00:31:34.860 feel better,

00:31:35.300 they want to

00:31:35.580 elevate themselves

00:31:36.280 by stepping

00:31:37.220 on someone

00:31:38.200 who they

00:31:38.660 perceive to be

00:31:41.140 weaker than

00:31:41.560 themselves.

00:31:41.920 okay,

00:31:44.100 so we know

00:31:44.360 that bullying

00:31:44.840 isn't new.

00:31:46.620 I don't think

00:31:47.260 there's any

00:31:47.600 evidence that

00:31:48.000 it's worse

00:31:48.440 than it is

00:31:48.880 now,

00:31:49.460 and yet

00:31:51.400 you have

00:31:51.920 school shootings

00:31:53.140 in response

00:31:53.780 to it.

00:31:57.940 Why is that?

00:31:59.260 I think it's

00:31:59.880 because it's

00:32:00.340 not that our

00:32:01.020 kids face

00:32:03.280 worse bullying

00:32:04.040 now than

00:32:04.420 they ever did.

00:32:05.380 It's that

00:32:05.920 our kids

00:32:06.500 are worse

00:32:07.380 at dealing

00:32:09.280 with and

00:32:10.380 coping with

00:32:11.080 the bullying.

00:32:12.300 That's the

00:32:12.900 problem.

00:32:14.180 That's what

00:32:14.700 we should be

00:32:15.100 talking about.

00:32:17.220 Rather than

00:32:17.940 constantly having

00:32:18.920 this conversation

00:32:19.660 about how to

00:32:20.700 stop bullying,

00:32:21.660 you're never

00:32:22.520 going to stop

00:32:23.000 it.

00:32:24.700 It's always

00:32:25.420 going to be

00:32:25.720 there.

00:32:27.840 Even if you

00:32:28.480 could put a

00:32:28.800 stop to the

00:32:29.260 physical bullying,

00:32:29.920 you're still

00:32:30.160 going to have

00:32:30.340 the psychological

00:32:30.900 bullying,

00:32:31.800 which can be

00:32:33.020 worse,

00:32:33.980 especially among

00:32:34.540 girls, 0.91

00:32:35.660 the way that

00:32:36.320 they can treat

00:32:36.780 each other.

00:32:39.540 Absolute

00:32:39.980 cruelty

00:32:40.400 sometimes.

00:32:43.020 Just trying

00:32:43.660 to break

00:32:44.160 someone down.

00:32:45.600 It's one

00:32:45.920 thing to get

00:32:46.240 punched in 0.73

00:32:46.660 the nose,

00:32:47.040 that's no

00:32:47.400 fun,

00:32:47.800 but to be

00:32:48.360 tormented

00:32:49.540 and broken

00:32:50.400 down

00:32:50.840 psychologically

00:32:51.680 over the

00:32:53.840 course of

00:32:54.440 weeks and

00:32:55.980 months and

00:32:56.340 years as

00:32:56.840 some kids

00:32:58.040 face in

00:32:58.480 school,

00:32:58.880 especially

00:32:59.160 girls, 0.91

00:32:59.640 that could 0.68

00:33:00.120 be a lot

00:33:00.380 worse.

00:33:02.540 But rather

00:33:03.380 than talking

00:33:03.880 about putting

00:33:04.300 a stop to

00:33:04.880 that,

00:33:05.160 which we're

00:33:05.420 never going

00:33:05.700 to be able

00:33:05.980 to completely

00:33:06.380 do,

00:33:06.780 why aren't

00:33:07.720 we talking

00:33:08.200 about equipping

00:33:10.560 our kids

00:33:11.380 to better

00:33:11.960 handle the

00:33:12.960 bullying?

00:33:14.880 If this

00:33:15.540 kid,

00:33:15.860 who's not

00:33:16.140 even a kid,

00:33:16.520 he's 18

00:33:16.940 years old,

00:33:17.920 and the

00:33:18.400 claim is he

00:33:18.820 was being

00:33:19.140 bullied by

00:33:19.600 a 15-year-old,

00:33:21.440 and also the

00:33:22.860 claim is that he

00:33:23.300 was getting

00:33:23.620 bullied because

00:33:24.940 he drives a

00:33:25.580 nice car and

00:33:26.340 wears nice

00:33:26.780 clothes to

00:33:27.240 school.

00:33:28.120 And if

00:33:28.620 that's the

00:33:29.000 case,

00:33:29.620 then bullying

00:33:30.220 is,

00:33:30.580 that's certainly

00:33:31.200 one change

00:33:32.020 with bullying

00:33:33.760 in recent

00:33:34.320 years.

00:33:34.640 when I

00:33:36.260 went to

00:33:36.520 school,

00:33:36.860 you weren't

00:33:37.320 getting

00:33:37.560 bullied for

00:33:38.220 having nice

00:33:38.820 clothes or

00:33:39.740 a nice

00:33:40.120 car.

00:33:40.460 The bullying

00:33:40.760 would go

00:33:41.020 the other

00:33:41.420 way.

00:33:42.640 So maybe

00:33:43.200 things have

00:33:43.560 flipped around.

00:33:44.200 I don't

00:33:44.340 know.

00:33:46.720 If he's

00:33:47.020 bringing a

00:33:47.360 gun and 0.92

00:33:47.620 he's shooting 0.81

00:33:47.960 someone,

00:33:48.500 then this

00:33:48.840 is a man

00:33:50.320 who is

00:33:51.840 incapable of

00:33:53.040 dealing with

00:33:54.540 these kinds

00:33:55.080 of things.

00:33:55.560 and so

00:33:57.600 what we

00:33:57.900 should be

00:33:58.180 talking about

00:33:58.680 is how

00:33:58.940 do we

00:33:59.120 better

00:33:59.320 equip our

00:33:59.760 kids to

00:34:00.040 deal with

00:34:00.260 it.

00:34:02.540 You know,

00:34:02.860 she mentioned

00:34:03.280 suicide as

00:34:04.060 like that

00:34:04.380 was the

00:34:04.640 only other

00:34:05.060 option, 1.00

00:34:05.540 shoot the 1.00

00:34:05.840 kid or 1.00

00:34:06.120 shoot himself. 1.00

00:34:07.300 We would 1.00

00:34:07.580 certainly hope

00:34:08.080 that there

00:34:08.320 would be

00:34:08.480 more options

00:34:09.180 than that.

00:34:10.700 And it's

00:34:11.140 your job as

00:34:11.600 a parent to

00:34:12.220 make sure your

00:34:12.720 kids know

00:34:13.100 that there

00:34:13.340 are other

00:34:13.580 options.

00:34:14.940 But we

00:34:15.180 also know

00:34:15.500 that adolescent

00:34:16.780 suicide really

00:34:19.000 is an

00:34:19.380 epidemic and

00:34:21.540 would seem

00:34:21.860 to be much

00:34:22.360 more common

00:34:22.940 now than

00:34:24.580 it was in

00:34:25.020 years past.

00:34:25.820 That's another

00:34:26.380 thing that you

00:34:26.860 don't hear about

00:34:27.740 from older

00:34:28.120 generations.

00:34:29.540 You talk to

00:34:30.200 people in

00:34:30.380 older generations,

00:34:30.960 they'll tell you

00:34:31.340 like that was

00:34:31.780 you never go

00:34:33.300 into middle

00:34:33.600 school and

00:34:33.900 high school.

00:34:34.240 You didn't

00:34:34.380 hear about

00:34:34.680 kids killing

00:34:35.160 themselves.

00:34:36.540 Now you

00:34:37.020 do.

00:34:38.340 And a lot

00:34:38.980 of that goes

00:34:39.320 back again

00:34:39.920 to kids not

00:34:41.060 being equipped

00:34:41.720 with the tools

00:34:43.420 to deal with

00:34:43.920 this.

00:34:44.100 And this is

00:34:44.520 not me saying

00:34:45.540 oh, kids are

00:34:46.020 a bunch of 0.97

00:34:46.300 weaklings and 0.99

00:34:46.920 wimps.

00:34:47.160 That's not the

00:34:47.620 point.

00:34:49.260 I mean,

00:34:49.500 kids are

00:34:49.820 kids.

00:34:52.280 The problem

00:34:52.940 is that these

00:34:53.500 days they're

00:34:54.120 in this,

00:34:54.640 they're totally

00:34:55.940 enveloped in

00:34:58.220 this peer

00:34:58.780 culture that

00:34:59.400 they can't

00:34:59.880 escape from.

00:35:00.980 That oftentimes

00:35:01.520 at home,

00:35:02.520 you know,

00:35:02.680 we're not

00:35:02.940 giving them

00:35:03.400 the ability

00:35:04.260 to escape

00:35:05.620 from it.

00:35:06.040 where they

00:35:07.540 go to school

00:35:08.180 and they're

00:35:08.620 with their

00:35:08.920 peers all

00:35:09.360 day.

00:35:10.760 And then

00:35:11.320 they come

00:35:11.980 home and

00:35:12.880 they're on

00:35:13.140 their phones

00:35:13.520 and they're

00:35:13.740 on their

00:35:13.920 computers and

00:35:15.160 they're still

00:35:15.740 connected to

00:35:16.440 their peers.

00:35:18.440 So they've

00:35:19.040 got the peer

00:35:19.460 culture online,

00:35:20.580 they've got the

00:35:20.900 peer culture at

00:35:21.500 school and

00:35:22.380 it completely

00:35:23.800 suffocates them.

00:35:24.460 They can't get

00:35:24.920 away from it.

00:35:25.600 There's no

00:35:25.960 break.

00:35:27.120 At least before

00:35:27.880 the internet,

00:35:28.460 you know,

00:35:28.640 you went to

00:35:29.020 school,

00:35:29.280 maybe there was

00:35:29.680 bullying,

00:35:30.060 maybe there was

00:35:30.400 this and that.

00:35:31.240 Maybe you

00:35:31.640 weren't in the

00:35:32.260 social stratosphere

00:35:34.540 that you wanted

00:35:34.980 to be in but

00:35:36.320 then you went

00:35:36.920 home and you

00:35:37.620 were home and

00:35:39.440 you had that

00:35:39.900 break, that

00:35:40.440 respite at

00:35:41.040 least.

00:35:42.080 Now kids

00:35:42.480 don't even

00:35:42.780 have that.

00:35:43.980 So they

00:35:44.440 become,

00:35:45.380 understandably,

00:35:46.140 because they're

00:35:46.480 kids and a

00:35:47.080 lot of adults

00:35:47.600 who are like

00:35:47.980 this too,

00:35:48.400 it's very easy

00:35:48.920 to fall into

00:35:49.620 this,

00:35:50.200 they become

00:35:50.700 totally

00:35:51.380 dependent on

00:35:54.200 their peers

00:35:55.360 affirmation and

00:35:58.320 desperate for

00:35:58.940 it because they

00:36:01.160 can't escape

00:36:01.640 their peers.

00:36:02.680 And they feel

00:36:03.480 like if I

00:36:03.880 don't have

00:36:04.180 that,

00:36:04.320 affirmation,

00:36:05.080 if I don't

00:36:05.340 have that

00:36:05.620 acceptance from

00:36:07.200 my peers,

00:36:08.160 then my

00:36:08.860 whole life is

00:36:10.740 destroyed because

00:36:12.060 my peers are

00:36:12.820 my life.

00:36:13.500 That's all I

00:36:13.900 have.

00:36:19.440 I think the

00:36:20.380 goal should be

00:36:22.020 to orient our

00:36:22.940 kids away from

00:36:24.380 this seeking of

00:36:26.000 peer affirmation

00:36:27.340 all the time,

00:36:28.180 to orient them

00:36:28.820 more back to

00:36:29.640 ourselves, to

00:36:30.560 adults, to

00:36:32.640 get them to

00:36:33.040 care about

00:36:33.960 approval from

00:36:35.860 your peers,

00:36:36.340 especially in

00:36:36.760 high school,

00:36:37.220 that's fleeting.

00:36:39.640 And they're

00:36:39.980 going to

00:36:40.140 approve of

00:36:40.560 you if you

00:36:41.160 conform with

00:36:41.840 them and if

00:36:42.260 you're just

00:36:42.860 like them,

00:36:43.340 that's how

00:36:43.560 you get

00:36:43.720 approval.

00:36:44.040 what you should

00:36:49.220 care about.

00:36:49.740 What you should

00:36:51.000 care about is, as

00:36:54.660 the kind of thing

00:36:55.240 you should care

00:36:55.540 about.

00:36:56.000 How do we get

00:36:56.800 to orient our

00:36:57.600 kids that way?

00:36:59.180 One of the

00:36:59.660 ways, like I'm

00:37:01.340 always preaching,

00:37:02.100 is to get them

00:37:02.960 off, take the

00:37:03.520 phones away.

00:37:05.220 Don't let them

00:37:05.860 come home and

00:37:06.360 sit on the

00:37:06.720 computer or on

00:37:07.920 their phones for

00:37:08.580 the next seven

00:37:09.340 hours.

00:37:09.660 give them a

00:37:11.720 break, give

00:37:12.280 them an oasis

00:37:13.480 away from all

00:37:14.480 this stuff.

00:37:15.840 Help them to

00:37:16.740 discover a life

00:37:18.000 outside of it.

00:37:20.080 That's one thing

00:37:20.840 we could be

00:37:21.160 doing.

00:37:21.760 That's a

00:37:22.040 conversation we

00:37:22.580 could be having,

00:37:23.160 but instead we're

00:37:23.640 just talking about

00:37:24.120 bullying.

00:37:25.380 All right, what

00:37:27.100 else do we got

00:37:27.520 here?

00:37:28.940 So I wanted to

00:37:29.380 mention this as

00:37:30.280 well.

00:37:30.440 This is from the

00:37:30.720 Daily Wire.

00:37:31.160 It says,

00:37:31.400 model Emily

00:37:32.160 Radishkowski

00:37:33.020 said this week

00:37:33.960 that she stayed

00:37:34.880 silent about a

00:37:35.740 groping allegation

00:37:36.580 against musician

00:37:37.300 Robin Thicke for

00:37:38.760 nearly a decade

00:37:39.440 because she

00:37:39.960 feared coming

00:37:40.560 forward would

00:37:41.860 derail her

00:37:42.600 dreams of

00:37:43.100 becoming famous.

00:37:44.560 Her new book,

00:37:45.600 My Body,

00:37:46.620 detailed the

00:37:47.180 alleged groping

00:37:47.860 incident on set

00:37:48.660 of the Blurred

00:37:49.340 Lines video in

00:37:50.240 2013.

00:37:51.520 According to

00:37:52.160 Radishkowski,

00:37:53.320 in her account,

00:37:54.520 an intoxicated

00:37:55.220 Thicke groped the 0.99

00:37:56.220 model's bare 0.71

00:37:56.800 breasts without 0.93

00:37:57.420 consent.

00:37:59.440 She said,

00:38:00.220 I was an

00:38:01.820 unknown model and

00:38:02.760 if I had spoken

00:38:03.420 out or complained,

00:38:04.640 I would not be

00:38:05.420 where I am today.

00:38:06.160 I would not be

00:38:06.820 famous.

00:38:08.600 She said,

00:38:09.260 quote,

00:38:09.500 I wrote a book

00:38:10.040 about the

00:38:10.340 evolution of

00:38:10.900 my politics

00:38:11.500 and that

00:38:11.780 includes a

00:38:12.220 lot of

00:38:12.480 different

00:38:12.740 experiences

00:38:13.260 from my

00:38:13.780 career and

00:38:14.140 my life

00:38:14.580 and the

00:38:15.160 way that

00:38:15.400 I felt

00:38:15.740 and thought

00:38:16.060 about those

00:38:16.380 experiences

00:38:16.780 has evolved.

00:38:18.040 I hope

00:38:18.340 people are

00:38:18.660 able to

00:38:18.980 read the

00:38:19.340 essay and

00:38:19.720 understand

00:38:20.020 the nuance

00:38:20.620 behind these

00:38:21.500 kinds of

00:38:21.860 situations.

00:38:23.940 Okay,

00:38:24.440 so Emily

00:38:25.060 Radishkowski

00:38:25.740 as a model

00:38:26.380 went to

00:38:27.500 performing this

00:38:28.500 music video,

00:38:29.620 Blurred Lines,

00:38:30.140 which by the

00:38:30.600 way,

00:38:30.720 that song,

00:38:31.300 if I remember

00:38:31.560 correctly,

00:38:31.900 is basically

00:38:32.300 an ode to

00:38:33.000 date rape. 0.82

00:38:34.400 And so she 0.94

00:38:35.540 went to

00:38:36.000 dance nude

00:38:38.280 in this

00:38:38.600 video

00:38:39.000 celebrating 0.91

00:38:39.780 date rape 0.90

00:38:40.320 and a big 0.97

00:38:41.800 shock.

00:38:42.240 She ended

00:38:42.380 up getting

00:38:42.620 groped by

00:38:43.000 the guy

00:38:43.240 that was

00:38:43.480 singing it.

00:38:45.320 But rather

00:38:46.160 than speak

00:38:46.940 out then

00:38:47.560 and try to

00:38:49.340 protect other

00:38:49.880 future victims,

00:38:51.140 she said

00:38:52.060 nothing because

00:38:52.600 she wanted to

00:38:53.140 be famous

00:38:53.700 and then

00:38:55.100 waited until

00:38:55.620 she had a

00:38:56.020 book to

00:38:56.440 sell to

00:38:57.380 tell everybody

00:38:57.820 about it.

00:38:58.420 But we're

00:39:02.640 not supposed

00:39:03.000 to put

00:39:03.340 any blame

00:39:03.780 on her

00:39:04.020 whatsoever.

00:39:04.740 No

00:39:05.080 criticism

00:39:05.440 of her.

00:39:08.380 She's

00:39:08.780 admitting

00:39:09.240 that she

00:39:09.860 was willing

00:39:10.320 to endure

00:39:10.840 that simply

00:39:11.520 because she

00:39:11.880 wanted to

00:39:12.160 be famous.

00:39:15.100 And now

00:39:15.720 in order

00:39:15.980 to sell

00:39:16.360 a book,

00:39:16.700 she tells

00:39:17.000 the story.

00:39:20.340 How about

00:39:20.900 a little bit

00:39:21.260 of responsibility?

00:39:22.060 This is one

00:39:23.060 of the many

00:39:23.580 problems with

00:39:24.240 the Me Too

00:39:24.640 movement,

00:39:25.360 which still

00:39:25.800 sort of

00:39:27.200 lingers on

00:39:28.280 as this

00:39:29.480 undead

00:39:30.360 zombie

00:39:30.860 sort of

00:39:31.320 lingering

00:39:32.220 there,

00:39:32.880 wandering

00:39:33.120 across the

00:39:33.660 landscape.

00:39:35.160 One of the

00:39:35.820 many problems

00:39:36.440 is that you

00:39:38.040 had all

00:39:38.920 these stories

00:39:39.480 from women

00:39:40.040 making claims

00:39:41.980 10,

00:39:42.420 20,

00:39:42.840 things that

00:39:43.280 happened

00:39:43.360 10,

00:39:43.640 20,

00:39:43.860 15 years

00:39:44.320 ago

00:39:44.600 that they

00:39:48.840 admitted

00:39:49.340 for their

00:39:50.380 own

00:39:50.760 professional

00:39:51.600 ambition,

00:39:52.460 they kept

00:39:53.040 themselves

00:39:53.640 letting other

00:39:54.520 people be

00:39:54.880 victimized.

00:39:55.440 and now

00:39:57.400 they come

00:39:57.680 out and

00:39:57.920 say it.

00:40:00.160 There's no

00:40:01.460 accountability

00:40:02.060 or responsibility

00:40:03.000 for the

00:40:04.880 women in 0.62

00:40:05.180 those cases,

00:40:05.960 and there

00:40:07.220 should be.

00:40:09.120 I mean,

00:40:09.380 how is this

00:40:09.900 story from

00:40:10.680 Emily Radichkowski

00:40:12.400 that she

00:40:12.760 comes out

00:40:13.600 and tells

00:40:14.140 us proudly,

00:40:15.420 how is this

00:40:16.400 not a story

00:40:17.340 of incredible

00:40:18.820 cowardice

00:40:20.200 and selfishness?

00:40:22.200 And she

00:40:24.140 didn't even

00:40:24.380 try to

00:40:24.660 come up

00:40:25.040 with a

00:40:25.680 better

00:40:26.580 sounding

00:40:27.040 reason.

00:40:27.600 She just 0.65

00:40:27.860 said,

00:40:28.120 I want

00:40:28.320 her to 0.94

00:40:28.460 be famous

00:40:29.100 and that's

00:40:29.940 why I

00:40:30.120 didn't say

00:40:30.440 anything.

00:40:31.480 And if

00:40:31.660 he went

00:40:31.880 on to

00:40:32.120 grope

00:40:32.420 two dozen

00:40:34.340 other

00:40:34.560 women, 1.00

00:40:35.060 so be

00:40:35.340 it.

00:40:39.100 I find

00:40:40.160 that

00:40:40.480 Robin

00:40:42.200 Thicke's 0.88

00:40:42.520 behavior 0.96

00:40:42.880 is gross.

00:40:44.520 That's 0.94

00:40:45.000 also gross.

00:40:47.140 All right,

00:40:47.680 let's move

00:40:48.280 now to

00:40:48.760 reading the

00:40:49.360 YouTube

00:40:49.560 comments.

00:40:49.920 Who's

00:40:51.460 rocking

00:40:51.860 polka

00:40:52.300 dot

00:40:52.660 and

00:40:52.800 flannel

00:40:53.140 shirts

00:40:53.580 without

00:40:54.200 shame?

00:40:56.460 Do you

00:40:56.980 know

00:40:57.280 their

00:40:57.560 name?

00:40:59.940 They're

00:41:00.320 the

00:41:00.460 sweet

00:41:00.720 baby

00:41:01.060 gang.

00:41:04.180 This is

00:41:04.700 from

00:41:04.820 Roxanne

00:41:05.300 says,

00:41:05.600 Matt,

00:41:05.780 I would

00:41:05.960 have to

00:41:06.180 disagree

00:41:06.480 with

00:41:06.760 you

00:41:06.920 about

00:41:07.180 men

00:41:07.460 not

00:41:07.700 caring

00:41:08.000 about

00:41:08.200 their

00:41:08.340 future

00:41:08.700 wives

00:41:09.140 income.

00:41:10.100 Times

00:41:10.440 have

00:41:10.600 changed.

00:41:11.060 Many

00:41:11.180 men

00:41:11.420 want

00:41:11.720 a

00:41:11.880 woman 0.99

00:41:12.140 who

00:41:12.800 can

00:41:13.000 earn

00:41:13.240 her

00:41:13.380 own

00:41:13.540 money

00:41:13.800 so

00:41:14.020 she

00:41:14.180 can

00:41:14.360 contribute

00:41:14.700 significantly.

00:41:16.260 Yeah,

00:41:16.780 I mean,

00:41:16.960 that might

00:41:17.340 be something

00:41:17.760 that men

00:41:18.260 prefer.

00:41:19.920 I never

00:41:21.160 cared about

00:41:22.380 that.

00:41:22.660 I never

00:41:22.860 even

00:41:23.020 thought

00:41:23.320 about

00:41:23.500 it.

00:41:24.380 I never

00:41:24.980 thought

00:41:25.320 about

00:41:25.560 my

00:41:25.820 wife's

00:41:26.920 income

00:41:28.120 earning

00:41:28.840 potential.

00:41:29.580 It never

00:41:30.060 crossed my

00:41:30.640 mind and

00:41:31.660 I didn't

00:41:31.880 care at

00:41:32.140 all.

00:41:33.080 But

00:41:33.420 maybe for

00:41:34.620 some men

00:41:34.900 it does

00:41:35.160 cross their

00:41:35.560 mind.

00:41:36.100 It's

00:41:36.360 kind of

00:41:36.720 when they're

00:41:37.040 listing all

00:41:37.660 the things

00:41:37.940 they like

00:41:38.360 about their

00:41:40.040 future

00:41:40.280 wife,

00:41:40.800 maybe that

00:41:41.420 makes it

00:41:41.760 on the

00:41:42.000 list.

00:41:42.300 But I

00:41:43.720 don't

00:41:43.880 believe

00:41:44.140 that

00:41:44.340 any

00:41:44.740 men

00:41:45.240 are

00:41:45.540 actually

00:41:45.820 making

00:41:46.200 decisions

00:41:46.740 based

00:41:47.320 primarily

00:41:48.160 on that.

00:41:49.820 So put

00:41:50.040 another way,

00:41:51.020 put another

00:41:51.320 way,

00:41:51.600 for any

00:41:52.460 straight 0.70

00:41:52.960 man,

00:41:53.780 a beautiful

00:41:55.020 woman 0.99

00:41:55.460 comes along

00:41:57.280 who he

00:41:58.040 connects

00:41:58.360 with and

00:41:59.300 he can

00:41:59.520 trust,

00:42:01.160 he's

00:42:01.580 going to

00:42:01.820 choose

00:42:02.080 her,

00:42:02.680 right,

00:42:03.620 no matter

00:42:04.240 her career

00:42:04.740 ambitions or

00:42:05.720 lack thereof.

00:42:08.200 That

00:42:08.340 is like

00:42:09.000 100%

00:42:09.480 he's going

00:42:09.980 to choose

00:42:10.220 her.

00:42:10.360 There's

00:42:11.700 not any

00:42:12.240 man who's

00:42:12.960 going to

00:42:13.200 say,

00:42:13.680 yeah,

00:42:13.960 there's

00:42:14.160 this

00:42:14.320 woman, 1.00

00:42:14.860 she's

00:42:15.040 beautiful,

00:42:15.900 I'm

00:42:16.260 attracted

00:42:16.560 to her,

00:42:17.460 I connect

00:42:18.260 with her,

00:42:19.180 I can

00:42:19.540 trust her,

00:42:20.640 she's

00:42:21.000 into me,

00:42:22.240 but I

00:42:23.500 don't think

00:42:23.840 I'm

00:42:24.000 interested in

00:42:24.520 going forward

00:42:24.880 with this

00:42:25.100 relationship

00:42:25.480 because she

00:42:26.760 really doesn't

00:42:27.080 have any

00:42:27.360 career ambitions.

00:42:28.260 No man 0.97

00:42:29.040 is saying

00:42:29.400 that.

00:42:31.020 Whereas

00:42:31.460 there are

00:42:31.920 plenty of

00:42:32.420 women who 0.99

00:42:32.900 may in

00:42:35.700 fact make

00:42:36.100 a calculation

00:42:36.560 like that.

00:42:37.960 They might

00:42:38.620 say,

00:42:39.000 look,

00:42:39.220 there's this

00:42:39.560 guy,

00:42:39.900 I'm very

00:42:40.120 attracted to

00:42:40.740 him,

00:42:40.980 he's a

00:42:41.440 nice guy,

00:42:42.340 we seem

00:42:42.740 to connect,

00:42:43.240 I trust

00:42:43.640 him,

00:42:44.360 but he

00:42:46.860 lays around

00:42:48.460 all day,

00:42:48.680 he doesn't

00:42:48.880 have a job,

00:42:49.760 he doesn't

00:42:50.320 seem interested

00:42:51.100 in getting

00:42:51.420 a job,

00:42:53.980 he doesn't

00:42:54.640 have a lot

00:42:55.240 of ambition,

00:42:56.200 he has no

00:42:56.780 plans for

00:42:57.480 the future,

00:42:58.000 I don't know

00:42:58.280 if he's

00:42:58.500 going to be

00:42:58.720 any kind

00:42:59.060 of provider.

00:43:00.960 I think a

00:43:01.480 woman's going 1.00

00:43:01.800 to think

00:43:02.080 about that

00:43:02.640 and balance

00:43:03.240 all of it

00:43:03.680 and she's

00:43:04.600 very likely

00:43:05.240 to say,

00:43:05.640 well,

00:43:05.860 this is not

00:43:07.340 the one,

00:43:08.140 the search

00:43:08.540 continues.

00:43:09.040 No man 0.97

00:43:11.200 is making

00:43:11.560 that calculation,

00:43:12.140 I can guarantee

00:43:12.640 you that.

00:43:15.560 Let's see,

00:43:16.120 what else we

00:43:16.460 got?

00:43:16.820 April says,

00:43:17.840 let's go

00:43:18.380 Brandon.

00:43:19.700 Yes.

00:43:20.740 I mean,

00:43:20.940 we're all big

00:43:21.520 fans of

00:43:21.900 Brandon,

00:43:22.220 so I will

00:43:22.500 say as well,

00:43:23.420 let's go

00:43:24.020 Brandon.

00:43:24.820 Let's go.

00:43:25.960 Ryan says,

00:43:26.860 Matt,

00:43:27.100 are you planning

00:43:27.540 to watch the

00:43:28.080 new Bond

00:43:29.080 movie?

00:43:29.540 I'm really

00:43:31.540 not at

00:43:33.540 this point.

00:43:36.640 I mean,

00:43:36.860 really,

00:43:37.520 all franchise

00:43:38.980 films I think

00:43:39.900 are out the

00:43:40.620 window and

00:43:41.760 I've liked a

00:43:42.320 lot of the

00:43:42.580 Bond movies,

00:43:42.880 especially the

00:43:43.420 Daniel Craig

00:43:43.980 Bond movies,

00:43:44.760 but especially

00:43:47.120 the Hollywood

00:43:48.900 blockbuster

00:43:49.500 franchise films,

00:43:50.400 all of them

00:43:51.220 have been

00:43:52.760 hopelessly

00:43:53.720 infiltrated by

00:43:54.820 the woke 0.92

00:43:55.200 PC nonsense

00:43:55.980 and I can't 0.56

00:43:57.140 stomach it.

00:43:57.580 my tolerance

00:43:59.860 for all that

00:44:00.580 stuff has

00:44:00.900 gone down,

00:44:01.660 not up.

00:44:02.440 You'd think

00:44:02.980 that your

00:44:03.200 tolerance would

00:44:03.660 increase as

00:44:04.280 you're,

00:44:04.600 usually that's

00:44:04.940 how tolerance

00:44:05.380 works as

00:44:05.720 you're exposed

00:44:06.180 to things

00:44:06.700 more and

00:44:07.420 more,

00:44:07.720 your tolerance

00:44:08.160 increases,

00:44:08.620 but I'm

00:44:09.080 having the

00:44:09.580 opposite

00:44:10.440 experience

00:44:11.320 where I

00:44:12.820 can't deal

00:44:13.300 with it at

00:44:13.700 all.

00:44:14.380 The moment

00:44:15.140 there is

00:44:16.940 even one

00:44:17.740 single thing

00:44:18.700 that I

00:44:19.220 noticed that's

00:44:19.840 been injected

00:44:20.460 into the

00:44:20.960 script for

00:44:23.280 purposes of

00:44:23.900 politically

00:44:24.260 correct box

00:44:25.340 checking,

00:44:26.140 the moment that

00:44:27.420 happens I

00:44:28.520 hate the

00:44:28.840 movie and

00:44:29.180 I don't

00:44:29.340 want to

00:44:29.480 watch it

00:44:29.760 anymore.

00:44:30.720 That's how

00:44:30.980 sick of

00:44:31.340 it I

00:44:31.640 am and

00:44:31.960 I'm

00:44:32.540 perhaps

00:44:33.600 unfairly,

00:44:34.360 I'm assuming

00:44:35.760 that there's

00:44:36.380 at least some

00:44:37.120 of that in

00:44:37.560 this Bond

00:44:37.960 movie.

00:44:38.340 There's got

00:44:38.700 to be and

00:44:39.300 so that's

00:44:39.540 why I

00:44:40.780 just have

00:44:41.080 no interest.

00:44:42.640 Let's

00:44:43.040 see,

00:44:43.620 numbskull

00:44:44.260 says Matt

00:44:44.940 is officially

00:44:45.440 canceled for

00:44:46.300 cruelty to

00:44:46.900 the Bachman's

00:44:47.580 warbler.

00:44:48.440 Well,

00:44:48.620 you know

00:44:48.760 what?

00:44:48.920 The Bachman's

00:44:49.540 warbler can 0.99

00:44:50.080 go to hell 1.00

00:44:50.680 and so can 1.00

00:44:52.000 you.

00:44:53.080 Well,

00:44:53.500 not really,

00:44:53.840 but you are

00:44:54.120 banned from

00:44:54.440 the show.

00:44:54.700 Let's

00:44:57.620 see,

00:44:57.800 Nick says,

00:44:58.260 I don't

00:44:58.460 mind your

00:44:58.820 lack of

00:44:59.180 interest in

00:44:59.700 non-human

00:45:00.280 animal

00:45:00.740 extinction,

00:45:01.400 Matt,

00:45:01.600 but as a

00:45:01.980 fellow

00:45:02.240 misanthrope,

00:45:03.280 shouldn't you

00:45:03.840 be equally

00:45:04.300 disinterested

00:45:04.960 in the

00:45:05.180 decline of

00:45:05.640 the human

00:45:05.920 species?

00:45:07.840 No,

00:45:08.560 Nick,

00:45:08.800 because I'm

00:45:09.320 a human

00:45:09.720 chauvinist

00:45:10.280 and I

00:45:10.500 fully admit

00:45:10.960 that.

00:45:11.960 I actually

00:45:12.740 prefer my

00:45:13.420 own species,

00:45:15.060 believe it

00:45:15.980 or not.

00:45:17.700 I like my

00:45:18.620 own species.

00:45:19.440 I prefer it.

00:45:20.160 I think

00:45:22.100 that my

00:45:22.520 species is

00:45:23.360 superior to

00:45:24.300 every other

00:45:24.660 species on

00:45:25.180 earth.

00:45:27.240 I think

00:45:27.960 that's the

00:45:28.280 most natural

00:45:28.860 way to

00:45:29.300 feel.

00:45:29.680 It's how

00:45:29.800 we should

00:45:30.020 all feel.

00:45:32.900 It is

00:45:33.520 extremely

00:45:35.420 depraved 0.99

00:45:36.120 and twisted 1.00

00:45:36.660 and perverse.

00:45:39.040 So,

00:45:39.500 like,

00:45:39.680 prefer other

00:45:40.460 species to

00:45:41.160 your...

00:45:41.340 I'm sure

00:45:42.020 if we could

00:45:42.380 talk to

00:45:42.960 any other

00:45:43.380 species,

00:45:44.040 they would

00:45:44.480 say the

00:45:44.740 same about

00:45:45.020 their own

00:45:45.200 species,

00:45:45.400 but we

00:45:45.660 can't talk

00:45:46.100 to them

00:45:46.440 or have

00:45:46.780 any kind

00:45:47.080 of conversation

00:45:47.620 and not

00:45:49.380 just because

00:45:49.680 they lack

00:45:50.000 vocal cords,

00:45:50.700 but because

00:45:50.940 they lack

00:45:51.240 any kind

00:45:51.560 of self-awareness

00:45:52.160 or consciousness

00:45:52.600 and so

00:45:52.960 they can't

00:45:53.860 even have

00:45:54.340 these sorts

00:45:54.660 of thoughts.

00:45:56.140 Just another

00:45:56.740 reason why

00:45:57.200 we're superior,

00:45:57.940 okay?

00:45:59.120 And finally,

00:45:59.840 Patrick says,

00:46:00.380 Matt,

00:46:00.620 can you name

00:46:01.000 just one

00:46:01.680 animal you

00:46:02.280 do like?

00:46:04.020 I can give

00:46:04.600 you more

00:46:04.820 than one.

00:46:05.660 Cows,

00:46:06.140 pigs,

00:46:06.500 chickens,

00:46:07.020 I like

00:46:08.320 them all

00:46:08.620 on my

00:46:09.280 plate.

00:46:10.620 So,

00:46:11.040 I'm an

00:46:12.040 animal lover

00:46:12.560 in a certain

00:46:13.080 way,

00:46:14.220 you see.

00:46:14.820 Well,

00:46:15.020 I'm very

00:46:15.260 excited to

00:46:15.660 tell you about

00:46:16.080 our Daily Wire

00:46:17.180 special today

00:46:17.840 because,

00:46:18.280 you know,

00:46:18.520 like we talked

00:46:18.980 about in the

00:46:19.320 opening,

00:46:19.760 it's not often

00:46:20.320 you can say

00:46:20.820 that one man

00:46:21.560 changed the

00:46:22.180 course of

00:46:22.520 history in a

00:46:23.160 positive way

00:46:23.860 and today

00:46:24.300 we remember

00:46:24.800 of course

00:46:25.820 the one man,

00:46:26.620 one of the men

00:46:27.060 who did,

00:46:27.620 the great navigator

00:46:28.340 and fearless explorer

00:46:29.220 Christopher Columbus.

00:46:29.960 He was a man

00:46:30.460 whose bravery,

00:46:31.120 persistence and skill

00:46:31.800 helped create

00:46:32.400 the America

00:46:32.860 that we know

00:46:33.380 and love today.

00:46:34.260 That's why

00:46:34.600 despite the anti-history

00:46:35.840 peddled by the left

00:46:36.560 to smear the name

00:46:37.240 of the great Italian

00:46:37.820 navigator,

00:46:38.480 we're going to

00:46:39.100 celebrate him today.

00:46:39.820 So Columbus

00:46:40.200 unlocked

00:46:40.700 the greatest continent

00:46:42.020 and we're letting

00:46:42.680 you unlock

00:46:43.240 the greatest content

00:46:44.300 for 20,

00:46:47.180 nice.

00:46:48.440 Just head to

00:46:51.260 Columbus to get

00:46:52.260 35% off

00:46:53.160 and celebrate

00:46:53.600 a legend

00:46:54.100 who made

00:46:54.520 the greatest

00:46:55.080 continent possible.

00:46:56.480 I mean,

00:46:56.620 you could say

00:46:57.060 that we are

00:46:58.220 in many ways

00:46:58.840 on par

00:46:59.460 with Christopher Columbus.

00:47:01.700 He had the continent,

00:47:02.640 we have the content.

00:47:04.720 Tomato,

00:47:05.280 tomato,

00:47:05.700 really.

00:47:06.700 Also,

00:47:07.180 here's another thing

00:47:07.740 that's great.

00:47:08.100 Tomorrow,

00:47:08.580 Tuesday,

00:47:09.200 October 12th,

00:47:09.860 we're taking backstage

00:47:11.020 to an entirely new level.

00:47:12.320 Instead of the usual

00:47:13.000 Daily Wire studio,

00:47:13.940 we'll be live streaming

00:47:14.640 our conversation on stage

00:47:15.780 at the famous

00:47:16.260 Ryman Auditorium

00:47:17.020 right here in Nashville

00:47:17.680 doing what we do best,

00:47:19.460 making sense.

00:47:20.080 This will be an event

00:47:20.900 and a live stream

00:47:21.500 unlike any other

00:47:22.420 we've done before

00:47:23.040 and we're thrilled

00:47:23.760 to be able to share

00:47:24.280 it with you all.

00:47:25.000 Plus,

00:47:25.360 we'll be making

00:47:26.100 some extremely

00:47:26.600 exciting announcements

00:47:27.400 which you will not

00:47:28.260 want to miss

00:47:28.780 so be sure to tune in.

00:47:31.200 Join myself,

00:47:31.820 Ben Shapiro,

00:47:32.280 Candace Owens,

00:47:32.720 Jeremy Boring,

00:47:33.200 Michael Knowles,

00:47:33.640 Andrew Klavan,

00:47:34.200 and our live audience

00:47:35.020 for a backstage

00:47:35.600 like never before.

00:47:36.940 Tomorrow's live stream

00:47:37.620 will begin at 8.30pm

00:47:38.780 Eastern,

00:47:39.160 7.30pm Central.

00:47:40.500 So head to

00:47:40.920 dailywire.com

00:47:41.920 or Daily Wire YouTube

00:47:42.760 to catch the show.

00:47:44.100 Now let's get to

00:47:44.540 our daily cancellation.

00:47:47.020 So today we're going

00:47:50.720 to cancel Randy Moss.

00:47:52.020 Moss is a former

00:47:52.920 NFL-wide receiver

00:47:54.140 and a current

00:47:56.080 ESPN sports analyst.

00:47:58.020 We already know

00:47:58.580 that most ESPN sports

00:47:59.820 analysts are far-left

00:48:00.780 weirdos,

00:48:01.280 but the other thing

00:48:01.840 to understand

00:48:02.440 is that most

00:48:02.960 ESPN sports analysts

00:48:04.000 are embarrassed

00:48:05.460 about being

00:48:06.300 ESPN sports analysts.

00:48:08.180 They seem to think

00:48:08.920 that it's kind of 0.91

00:48:09.540 silly and frivolous

00:48:10.400 to simply talk 0.99

00:48:11.080 about sports every day

00:48:12.020 and you can decide

00:48:13.000 whether you agree

00:48:13.620 with their self-assessment

00:48:14.440 or not,

00:48:14.880 but their way of

00:48:16.060 dealing with this

00:48:16.660 insecurity is to

00:48:17.560 pretend that they're

00:48:18.860 part of some kind

00:48:19.660 of greater and more

00:48:20.440 profound cultural

00:48:21.700 conversation.

00:48:23.320 Due both to their

00:48:24.020 political slant

00:48:24.760 and this need

00:48:25.840 to overcompensate,

00:48:27.120 they're always eager

00:48:28.000 to make mountains

00:48:28.660 out of molehills.

00:48:30.020 They're always looking

00:48:30.840 for places

00:48:31.900 where the events

00:48:32.600 on the football field

00:48:33.560 might intersect

00:48:34.720 with larger societal

00:48:36.000 issues.

00:48:37.060 The problem for them

00:48:37.920 is that the two things

00:48:39.280 rarely do intersect,

00:48:40.700 which means that they

00:48:41.340 have to work a lot

00:48:42.280 harder to draw

00:48:42.920 the connection.

00:48:43.400 And speaking of molehills,

00:48:45.480 it was revealed last week

00:48:46.520 in a stunning and

00:48:48.020 earth-shattering expose

00:48:49.080 in the Wall Street Journal

00:48:50.040 that current Raiders head

00:48:52.340 coach John Gruden

00:48:53.260 sent an email 10 years ago

00:48:54.860 where he made fun of

00:48:55.920 another guy for having

00:48:56.960 big lips 0.95

00:48:57.640 and the other guy's black, 0.91

00:48:59.560 which of course makes it 0.90

00:49:00.540 not only racist,

00:49:01.420 but a hate crime

00:49:02.080 of historic proportions.

00:49:04.360 John Gruden stands

00:49:05.260 alongside history's

00:49:06.280 greatest monsters,

00:49:07.160 Hitler, Pol Pot, 0.99

00:49:08.220 Donald Trump,

00:49:08.740 all because he were

00:49:10.180 marked on the size

00:49:10.960 of another guy's lips.

00:49:12.720 Now for a little background,

00:49:13.620 Gruden was himself

00:49:14.660 a commentator on ESPN

00:49:15.760 at the time that this

00:49:17.000 email was sent in 2011.

00:49:19.020 He was upset about

00:49:19.960 a lockout in the NFL

00:49:21.020 that was poised to

00:49:21.880 short-circuit the

00:49:22.680 upcoming season.

00:49:24.380 And Gruden put much

00:49:25.340 of the blame,

00:49:25.940 for whatever reason,

00:49:27.020 on executive director

00:49:28.680 of the NFL Players

00:49:29.680 Association,

00:49:30.380 DeMorris Smith.

00:49:32.020 Venting his frustration

00:49:33.140 in a private email,

00:49:34.280 Gruden wrote,

00:49:35.200 quote,

00:49:36.220 DeMorris Smith

00:49:37.400 has lips the size

00:49:38.360 of Michelin tires.

00:49:40.480 That was it.

00:49:41.800 That's what he wrote.

00:49:43.780 Ten years later,

00:49:45.300 and this one sentence

00:49:46.560 has led to great

00:49:47.840 controversy and backlash

00:49:49.560 and people calling

00:49:50.260 for him to be fired

00:49:51.040 and everything else.

00:49:52.660 Now Gruden has,

00:49:53.520 of course,

00:49:53.720 apologized publicly

00:49:54.800 and profusely

00:49:55.620 for making the comment

00:49:56.620 about the guy's lips.

00:49:58.200 He says that he didn't

00:49:59.020 mean it in a racist way.

00:50:00.040 In fact,

00:50:00.240 he says that he meant

00:50:01.100 that Smith has rubber lips,

00:50:03.540 hence the Michelin reference,

00:50:05.320 which is an expression

00:50:06.060 that means somebody is lying.

00:50:07.140 So he thought that Smith

00:50:08.260 was lying about this

00:50:09.140 whole lockout situation.

00:50:10.100 Gruden has issued

00:50:12.760 several statements

00:50:13.720 assuring the public

00:50:14.600 that he's not racist,

00:50:15.880 that he doesn't have

00:50:16.640 a, quote,

00:50:17.000 racist bone in his body,

00:50:18.940 that he's deeply, 0.97

00:50:19.840 profoundly,

00:50:20.480 profusely sorry

00:50:21.460 for all the,

00:50:22.060 you know,

00:50:22.680 for all the millions

00:50:24.560 of people

00:50:25.020 who've been somehow

00:50:25.800 hurt by a mild insult

00:50:27.200 he wrote in a private email

00:50:28.260 10 years ago.

00:50:29.800 He's said all this.

00:50:30.880 Of course,

00:50:31.020 it doesn't matter at all.

00:50:31.900 Nobody cares about the apology.

00:50:33.480 They still want him

00:50:34.240 to be fired.

00:50:35.080 For DeMorris Smith's part,

00:50:36.820 he took a bold

00:50:37.640 and heroic stance

00:50:38.520 when reached by

00:50:39.300 the Wall Street Journal.

00:50:40.160 This is what,

00:50:40.560 this is the statement

00:50:41.100 that he gave.

00:50:41.640 He said,

00:50:41.920 quote,

00:50:43.180 this is not the first

00:50:44.440 racist comment

00:50:45.180 that I've heard

00:50:45.700 and it probably

00:50:46.120 will not be the last.

00:50:47.480 This is a thick skin job

00:50:49.120 for someone with dark skin,

00:50:50.420 just like it always has been

00:50:51.560 for many people

00:50:52.120 who look like me

00:50:52.840 and work in corporate America.

00:50:54.760 You know people

00:50:55.220 are sometimes saying things

00:50:56.300 behind your back

00:50:56.920 that are racist, 0.76

00:50:57.620 just like you see people

00:50:58.380 talk and write about you

00:50:59.480 using thinly coated

00:51:00.860 and racist language.

00:51:02.480 Racism like this

00:51:03.180 comes from the fact

00:51:03.840 that I'm at the same table

00:51:05.020 as they are

00:51:05.520 and they don't think

00:51:06.380 someone who looks

00:51:07.200 like me belongs.

00:51:08.600 I'm sorry my family

00:51:09.520 has to see something

00:51:10.720 like this,

00:51:11.240 but I would rather

00:51:11.780 they know.

00:51:12.880 I will not let it

00:51:13.960 define me.

00:51:15.580 How inspiring.

00:51:17.080 Now if that were me

00:51:18.000 and the Wall Street Journal

00:51:19.520 contacted me

00:51:20.340 about an insult

00:51:21.080 that some guy

00:51:21.680 had said about me

00:51:22.400 to some other guy

00:51:23.180 in an email

00:51:23.820 in the year 2011,

00:51:25.460 my statement

00:51:26.580 would have been

00:51:27.020 something like,

00:51:27.740 uh, what?

00:51:28.980 Why are you asking

00:51:29.780 me about this?

00:51:30.820 He said my lips

00:51:31.740 were big.

00:51:32.940 In the year 2011,

00:51:33.940 um, okay.

00:51:37.320 And?

00:51:39.360 That would have been

00:51:39.980 my statement,

00:51:40.420 but that's only

00:51:40.760 because I'm an amateur.

00:51:41.760 DeMora Smith

00:51:42.240 is a professional.

00:51:43.140 He was ready to milk

00:51:44.080 this particular cow 0.75

00:51:45.080 for all it's worth.

00:51:46.360 And that brings us

00:51:47.100 finally to Randy Moss.

00:51:48.540 Moss was part of the

00:51:49.460 Sunday NFL countdown

00:51:50.700 show on Sunday morning

00:51:51.800 where typically

00:51:52.840 they're supposed to talk

00:51:53.660 about the upcoming games

00:51:54.860 and give their

00:51:55.420 mostly arbitrary predictions

00:51:56.780 for which team

00:51:57.540 is going to win

00:51:58.020 and how many yards

00:51:58.960 various players

00:52:00.100 are going to gain

00:52:00.720 and so on.

00:52:01.740 But this whole matter

00:52:02.740 of the email

00:52:03.500 and the lips,

00:52:04.680 lipgate,

00:52:05.260 as I've come to,

00:52:06.360 to, to know it,

00:52:07.660 um, provided the

00:52:08.720 assembled cast

00:52:09.280 with an opportunity

00:52:09.960 to have a very

00:52:10.900 important conversation.

00:52:12.420 They always want to

00:52:13.240 have very important

00:52:14.160 conversations.

00:52:15.380 And Randy Moss,

00:52:16.460 more than any of them,

00:52:18.280 was ready for it.

00:52:19.200 Listen to this.

00:52:20.740 Obviously, there's gonna be

00:52:21.520 a lot of emotional

00:52:22.280 responses to this.

00:52:23.500 Teddy, I, I hear you

00:52:24.440 saying basically

00:52:25.180 if you were in that

00:52:26.480 locker room today,

00:52:27.220 you kind of just

00:52:27.880 put your head down

00:52:28.660 and you think of him

00:52:29.640 as the leader

00:52:30.220 in terms of the

00:52:31.100 decision maker,

00:52:31.740 but not necessarily

00:52:32.660 a leader you respect.

00:52:33.960 I'm curious from

00:52:34.580 your perspective,

00:52:35.460 Randy, if you were

00:52:36.440 in that locker room

00:52:37.220 today, would you

00:52:38.180 be able to play

00:52:38.820 for him?

00:52:39.960 You know, to,

00:52:40.560 to speaking of

00:52:41.280 Teddy, Teddy's

00:52:42.120 point, you know,

00:52:43.400 basically you hear

00:52:44.320 us talking about

00:52:44.880 we got work to do,

00:52:45.780 we got a job to do

00:52:46.680 and that's to

00:52:47.160 provide for our

00:52:47.860 families and, and,

00:52:48.780 and Teddy hit it

00:52:49.660 right, right on the

00:52:50.440 head of, of just

00:52:51.380 putting your head

00:52:51.900 down and going

00:52:52.380 playing football.

00:52:53.380 You know, I, I

00:52:54.680 speak about the

00:52:55.740 game of football.

00:52:56.720 I fell in love

00:52:57.580 with the game of

00:52:58.120 football, Sam,

00:52:58.660 I'm six years old

00:52:59.500 and I get emotional

00:53:01.620 talking about it

00:53:02.600 because of

00:53:03.740 situations like this.

00:53:06.000 My civil rights

00:53:07.080 were taken,

00:53:07.960 were, were, were,

00:53:08.760 were kind of

00:53:09.440 messed with in high

00:53:10.320 school over the

00:53:11.360 color of my skin

00:53:12.120 and now being able

00:53:13.080 to play 14 years

00:53:14.300 in the National

00:53:14.820 Football League

00:53:15.700 to have something

00:53:17.200 like this of a

00:53:18.260 leader.

00:53:18.680 We talk about

00:53:19.340 leadership.

00:53:19.760 We give guys

00:53:20.600 these big contracts

00:53:22.060 because they want to

00:53:23.500 be able to lead

00:53:24.320 70 men, coaches,

00:53:25.840 equipment, staff,

00:53:26.540 and managers

00:53:27.200 to the number

00:53:28.740 one goal and

00:53:29.420 that's to win a

00:53:30.000 championship and

00:53:31.340 for us to be

00:53:32.000 moving back and

00:53:33.300 not forward in

00:53:34.040 21st century.

00:53:35.120 Like I said, man,

00:53:36.360 National Football

00:53:37.100 League, this hurts

00:53:37.920 me.

00:53:38.760 The clock is

00:53:39.320 ticking, man.

00:53:44.120 It's a good thing

00:53:44.760 I wasn't in the

00:53:45.440 room for that panel

00:53:46.300 and not that they

00:53:46.720 would invite me on

00:53:47.300 a Sunday NFL

00:53:49.420 countdown panel,

00:53:50.380 but how can you

00:53:52.180 even keep a

00:53:52.560 straight face?

00:53:53.120 I would have to

00:53:53.800 interrupt and say,

00:53:54.300 dude, are you,

00:53:54.740 what are you,

00:53:55.500 are you crying?

00:53:56.780 Are you crying

00:53:57.580 right now?

00:53:59.300 No, I didn't get

00:54:00.040 confused, by the way,

00:54:00.680 and play a clip from

00:54:01.320 another conversation.

00:54:02.200 I know you might be

00:54:02.600 wondering, you're

00:54:03.540 looking at that and

00:54:04.720 you're listening to

00:54:05.400 that and you're

00:54:05.680 thinking, well,

00:54:06.180 hold on, this must

00:54:07.420 be a conversation

00:54:08.480 from another time

00:54:09.340 when somebody shot

00:54:10.620 Randy Moss's dog

00:54:11.700 or punched his

00:54:12.740 grandma or caused

00:54:13.700 him offense or harm

00:54:14.560 in some other

00:54:15.200 significant way.

00:54:16.220 That would explain

00:54:17.160 why he was so

00:54:17.680 emotional, but no,

00:54:19.700 they're really just

00:54:20.500 talking about the

00:54:21.240 email from 10

00:54:22.200 years ago about a

00:54:23.160 guy's lips and not

00:54:24.280 even his own lips.

00:54:25.040 Randy Moss is in

00:54:28.500 tears.

00:54:28.920 He's actually crying

00:54:30.660 because some guy 0.62

00:54:32.440 wrote a private

00:54:33.200 email to some

00:54:34.180 other guy making

00:54:35.180 fun of a third

00:54:35.900 guy's lips 10

00:54:38.040 years ago.

00:54:39.300 And to make this

00:54:40.160 all the more

00:54:40.500 grotesque, but

00:54:41.180 also hilarious,

00:54:42.540 Moss says that he

00:54:43.160 wants to move

00:54:43.900 forward.

00:54:45.720 And his way of

00:54:46.480 moving forward is

00:54:47.300 to have a public

00:54:48.000 meltdown over

00:54:48.760 something someone

00:54:49.420 said 10 years ago.

00:54:50.680 that's how we

00:54:51.800 move forward is

00:54:52.360 by sifting

00:54:55.100 through private

00:54:56.900 emails sent

00:54:59.040 during the Obama

00:54:59.840 administration.

00:55:01.180 That's how we

00:55:01.840 move forward as a

00:55:02.740 society, really?

00:55:04.640 And this is

00:55:05.300 supposed to be a

00:55:05.800 football pregame

00:55:06.760 show.

00:55:07.620 People are tuning

00:55:08.540 in to watch guys

00:55:09.520 pummel each other

00:55:10.340 at full speed and

00:55:11.240 cause traumatic brain

00:55:12.260 injuries.

00:55:12.900 And the lead-in act

00:55:13.980 for that show

00:55:14.760 features a man

00:55:15.500 crying about an

00:55:16.300 insult that wasn't

00:55:17.080 even directed at

00:55:17.900 him?

00:55:18.100 But it's not

00:55:21.400 over.

00:55:21.980 There are other

00:55:22.500 people on this

00:55:23.020 panel and they

00:55:23.640 all want to show

00:55:24.280 off their dramatic

00:55:25.100 acting chops.

00:55:26.400 Also, let's keep

00:55:27.120 listening.

00:55:28.120 I can play for

00:55:29.200 you, but I'd

00:55:29.940 rather not.

00:55:31.120 Okay?

00:55:31.520 I'd rather not do

00:55:32.400 it, but if I have

00:55:33.280 to do it, I will.

00:55:34.540 And it's just

00:55:35.160 because I have

00:55:36.040 other people that

00:55:36.740 I have to provide

00:55:37.560 for, right?

00:55:38.640 But I'd rather

00:55:39.400 not do it.

00:55:40.400 But we've done

00:55:42.080 it before in

00:55:42.780 different situations.

00:55:43.940 We are all

00:55:44.500 mentally tough people

00:55:45.460 in that locker

00:55:46.040 room, but it's

00:55:46.840 something you'd

00:55:47.280 rather not do.

00:55:48.100 Yeah, so this

00:55:48.700 is what I think

00:55:49.340 about.

00:55:49.980 It's like Randy

00:55:50.580 sitting up here

00:55:51.240 feeling this way

00:55:52.080 from a distance.

00:55:54.280 I can't imagine

00:55:55.500 a guy in that

00:55:56.580 locker room today

00:55:57.720 trying to play a

00:55:58.940 football game

00:55:59.720 feeling that way.

00:56:00.580 With a heavy

00:56:00.920 heart.

00:56:01.240 How?

00:56:01.880 I don't know.

00:56:02.500 It hurts.

00:56:02.900 I don't know how.

00:56:04.860 Max, Matt, or Rex,

00:56:06.180 I would love to hear

00:56:06.860 your perspective.

00:56:07.480 What should the NFL

00:56:08.320 do right now?

00:56:09.020 You see this

00:56:09.640 response and you

00:56:10.440 guarantee there's a

00:56:11.600 version of this

00:56:12.320 response in that

00:56:13.360 locker room.

00:56:14.420 What should they

00:56:15.080 do?

00:56:15.580 How do you make

00:56:16.420 this right?

00:56:16.920 How does John

00:56:17.620 Gruden make this

00:56:18.600 right at this

00:56:19.260 point?

00:56:19.600 Or is it a

00:56:20.320 lost cause?

00:56:21.580 I'm at a loss

00:56:22.460 for solutions, but

00:56:23.380 I think the answer

00:56:24.900 to that question

00:56:25.600 probably comes from

00:56:27.380 somewhere inside that

00:56:28.300 locker room.

00:56:30.480 See, this is why I

00:56:31.580 said I don't want

00:56:33.320 female football

00:56:33.980 analysts.

00:56:35.040 And I'm referring to

00:56:35.920 all of them at the

00:56:36.900 table there.

00:56:38.260 I have to remind you

00:56:39.280 again, they're still

00:56:40.340 talking about the

00:56:40.980 lips.

00:56:41.200 And I wonder if we

00:56:45.020 were to search

00:56:45.520 through their emails

00:56:46.380 from the last 10

00:56:47.240 years, what would

00:56:49.160 we find?

00:56:50.200 Would we find

00:56:50.980 things at least as

00:56:51.700 offensive and

00:56:52.500 insulting as, you

00:56:54.200 know, making fun of

00:56:54.720 a guy's lips?

00:56:56.000 What would we find?

00:56:57.680 Why don't they give us

00:56:58.960 the passwords to all

00:56:59.900 their Gmail?

00:57:00.540 Why don't they come

00:57:01.380 on the show next

00:57:02.420 Sunday?

00:57:02.680 Give us the passwords

00:57:03.280 to their Gmail

00:57:03.800 accounts.

00:57:04.480 Let us go look at

00:57:05.600 all of the emails

00:57:06.780 they've sent for the

00:57:07.380 last 10 years.

00:57:08.220 Can we find

00:57:10.340 something worse

00:57:10.960 than that?

00:57:12.960 While they're crying

00:57:14.000 about an email a guy

00:57:14.860 sent 10 years ago?

00:57:16.140 Were they sending

00:57:16.980 worse emails?

00:57:17.860 I bet you they were.

00:57:20.820 Randy Moss has been

00:57:21.900 accused of domestic

00:57:22.820 violence in the past

00:57:23.980 and arrested for

00:57:24.940 battery.

00:57:26.420 Has he been a total

00:57:27.440 gentleman in his

00:57:28.180 private communications?

00:57:32.080 I mean, I wonder

00:57:33.220 what emails and text

00:57:34.380 messages he has sent

00:57:35.600 to and about the

00:57:37.800 women who have made

00:57:38.420 these accusations

00:57:39.040 against him.

00:57:40.380 I wonder.

00:57:42.080 I wonder something

00:57:42.900 else.

00:57:43.240 Earlier this year,

00:57:44.080 NBA star Kevin

00:57:44.940 Durant sent a whole

00:57:45.900 string of expletive

00:57:47.020 laden messages to

00:57:48.420 the actor Michael

00:57:49.160 Rappaport.

00:57:51.500 And what led to that

00:57:52.680 doesn't even matter.

00:57:54.460 But Kevin Durant,

00:57:56.100 NBA superstar,

00:57:59.080 threatens violence.

00:58:00.500 He uses anti-white 0.96

00:58:01.940 slurs. 0.98

00:58:02.500 He uses anti-gay 0.96

00:58:03.520 slurs. 0.57

00:58:03.920 And these were

00:58:05.460 messages he sent

00:58:06.900 to someone

00:58:08.180 in reference to

00:58:10.880 them this year,

00:58:13.060 not 10 years ago.

00:58:14.940 Were there any

00:58:15.760 tearful segments on

00:58:16.920 ESPN about that?

00:58:19.160 If I were to go

00:58:20.060 back and look,

00:58:20.740 would I find a whole

00:58:21.460 panel of sports

00:58:22.440 analysts reduced to

00:58:23.740 tears,

00:58:24.720 consoling each other

00:58:25.600 over the trauma that

00:58:26.520 Kevin Durant's words

00:58:27.500 inflicted upon them?

00:58:29.980 I don't think so.

00:58:31.600 What about Randy

00:58:32.520 Moss?

00:58:32.860 Did he have

00:58:33.900 anything to say

00:58:34.420 about Kevin Durant?

00:58:36.420 Again, no.

00:58:38.120 And that's because

00:58:39.040 this is all a game.

00:58:41.140 I mean, Randy Moss

00:58:41.680 doesn't play the game

00:58:42.400 of football anymore,

00:58:43.640 but he does play

00:58:45.060 this game.

00:58:47.200 You know,

00:58:47.580 he has gone

00:58:48.640 from the game

00:58:49.620 of football

00:58:50.060 to the victimhood

00:58:51.680 Olympics.

00:58:53.380 And he has gotten

00:58:54.820 so good,

00:58:55.340 and he was a great

00:58:55.920 football player.

00:58:56.860 Nothing could take

00:58:57.580 that from him.

00:58:59.460 And it turns out

00:59:00.280 he is great

00:59:01.080 at victimhood

00:59:01.820 Olympics too.

00:59:03.760 Randy Moss

00:59:04.380 is the Randy Moss

00:59:05.480 of the victimhood

00:59:06.460 Olympics.

00:59:07.720 When he has managed

00:59:08.800 to make himself

00:59:10.480 the victim

00:59:11.240 of an email

00:59:13.740 that someone sent

00:59:14.240 10 years ago

00:59:14.800 making fun of

00:59:15.420 another guy.

00:59:17.480 Incredible.

00:59:18.640 And yet,

00:59:19.020 even so,

00:59:19.600 I must say that today

00:59:20.520 Randy Moss

00:59:21.500 is canceled.

00:59:23.300 And we'll leave it there.

00:59:24.500 Thanks for watching.

00:59:25.120 Thanks for listening.
