The Matt Walsh Show - Ep. 855 - Jussie Smollett Should Be Charged With A Hate Crime

00:00:00.000 Today on The Matt Wall Show, Jesse Smollett has been found guilty of committing a hate crime hoax, but I think a hate crime hoax is a hate crime in itself and should be charged as such.

00:00:08.780 We'll talk about that today. Speaking of hate crimes, my best-selling LGBT children's book, Johnny the Walrus, has been removed from Amazon's LGBT list.

00:00:17.000 I'll have something to say about that today, and a fair warning, I might get a little emotional about it because I'm pretty upset.

00:00:22.320 Also, a male college swimmer is dominating female swimming. Outkick has an interview with one of his teammates, and she is not happy.

00:00:28.460 Plus, Simone Biles is named Athlete of the Year for quitting. We'll talk about that and so much more today on The Matt Wall Show.

00:00:43.920 Did you know that one out of three Americans regularly suffer from nausea? I know I'm one of them, and for me, it's, you know, sit in the backseat of a car, of an Uber, something like that, especially if I'm looking at my phone, which even makes it worse.

00:00:54.180 But nausea, what it could do, I know this from experience, it could ruin your day, and it can force you to change your plans, and the most severe case is it can make us unable to function.

00:01:02.980 If you can relate, then I've got good news. It's called ReliefBand. You've got to check out ReliefBand.

00:01:07.040 ReliefBand is the number one FDA-cleared anti-nausea wristband that's been clinically proven to quickly relieve and effectively prevent nausea and vomiting associated with motion sickness, anxiety, migraines, hangover, morning sickness, chemotherapy, and so much more.

00:01:30.980 It also provides an all-natural, long-lasting relief with zero side effects for as long as needed.

00:01:36.240 So you've got to try ReliefBand. Don't let nausea get in the way of your life anymore.

00:02:02.760 It should not really be a surprise that con artist and now convicted felon Jussie Smollett was found guilty of committing a race hoax.

00:02:09.560 The evidence against him was overwhelming.

00:02:11.180 You know, they say that absence of evidence is not evidence of absence, but in the case of a hate crime hoax, that's often not true.

00:02:18.520 If Smollett was really accosted and assaulted by a roaming gang of militant, bleach-wielding white supremacists, there would have been lots of positive evidence to support that claim.

00:02:27.460 The fact that there was no such evidence was reason enough to conclude that the claim was a fabrication. 0.94

00:02:30.900 That along with the fact that the story was absurd and implausible and ludicrous on its face on every level.

00:02:36.900 Except in this case, there was not only absence of evidence to support his version of events, but positive evidence disproving it.

00:02:42.860 Since his co-conspirators admitted their role in the plot and produced documentation to show that there was a plot.

00:02:48.120 All of this to say, there should not have been any suspense.

00:02:51.640 A guilty verdict should have been a foregone conclusion.

00:02:53.820 But as the jury failed to reach a verdict somehow on the first day of deliberation, and the hours ticked by during the second day, it started to seem quite possible that they would maybe come back with an acquittal.

00:03:05.960 Jussie Smollett's defense team certainly didn't do anything to convince them of his innocence, but they played the victim card, constantly reminding the jury that Smollett is a gay black man.

00:03:15.220 That indeed was their whole defense, that he's a gay black man.

00:03:18.460 The victim card shouldn't be worth anything at all, especially in court, and especially when it's played by a wealthy actor.

00:03:26.080 But in our country today, it can unlock many doors and get you out of many jams.

00:03:31.760 And it could well have done that here.

00:03:33.620 Yet, it didn't.

00:03:34.720 The justice system actually worked, and not for the first time in recent weeks.

00:03:38.800 It's on a little bit of a streak, I guess.

00:03:41.300 And Jussie Smollett was convicted on five out of six counts yesterday.

00:03:44.420 He faces up to 20 years in prison, and should serve every day of it.

00:03:49.600 Although I expect he'll probably just be given a slap on the wrist, a few hours of community service.

00:03:53.620 And we'll get back to this issue of the appropriate punishment for his crime in just a moment.

00:03:57.680 But first, it's worth recalling what the left said about the Smollett case when the story was first reported by a credulous media.

00:04:07.380 Now, when I say the left, I mean not just random accounts on Twitter, but the most prominent and powerful individuals in that camp.

00:04:13.440 Joe Biden at the time tweeted,

00:04:16.020 What happened today to Jussie Smollett must never be tolerated in this country.

00:04:19.640 We must stand up and demand that we no longer give this hate safe harbor.

00:04:24.100 That homophobia and racism have no place on our streets or in our hearts.

00:04:27.800 We are with you, Jussie.

00:04:30.020 Notice there's no alleged, no words like claim or reportedly being used.

00:04:36.440 Just an outright acceptance of the story in its entirety without a hint of skepticism.

00:04:41.900 Same for Kamala Harris, who said at the time,

00:04:45.720 Jussie Smollett is one of the kindest, most gentle human beings I know.

00:04:49.680 I'm praying for his quick recovery.

00:04:51.940 This was an attempted modern day lynching.

00:04:54.800 No one should have to fear for their life because of their sexuality or color of their skin.

00:04:58.880 We must confront this hate.

00:05:01.940 An attempted modern day lynching.

00:05:03.740 It wasn't much of an attempt considering the assailant gently placed the rope around his neck

00:05:09.040 and then ran away 30 seconds later, according to him. 0.53

00:05:12.460 So that's like trying to shoot somebody by throwing the bullet at their head.

00:05:16.320 But that kind of critical thinking is not allowed when a member of a protected class makes a claim of this sort. 0.54

00:05:22.100 Which is why every major leftist in the country rallied around Jussie.

00:05:25.700 The Daily Mail takes us farther down memory lane.

00:05:29.020 They report, going back to 2019,

00:05:32.620 other liberal stars whose pro-Jussie tweets have now aged very poorly include

00:05:37.180 Democratic representatives and squad members Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, as well as Rashida Tlaib.

00:05:42.840 AOC at the time tweeted,

00:05:44.520 There is no such thing as racially charged.

00:05:46.740 This attack was not possibly homophobic.

00:05:48.960 It was a racist and homophobic attack.

00:05:51.340 If you don't like what is happening to our country, then work to change it.

00:05:56.320 It is no one's job to water down or sugarcoat the rise of hate crimes.

00:06:01.140 And then Tlaib said,

00:06:02.400 When one of the most famous black and gay men in America is not safe,

00:06:06.340 the message is clearer than it's ever been. 0.98

00:06:09.720 The dangerous lies spewing from the right wing is killing and hurting our people.

00:06:14.340 Thinking of you, Jussie Smollett and my LGBTQ neighbors.

00:06:17.320 Other top Democrats who rallied against the now-debunked beating include House Speaker Nancy Pelosi

00:06:22.920 and Vermont Senator Bernie Sanders.

00:06:26.380 Pelosi soapboxed,

00:06:27.840 The racist, homophobic attack on Jussie Smollett is an affront to our humanity.

00:06:32.260 No one should be attacked for who they are or whom they love.

00:06:36.380 She's right, though.

00:06:38.260 No one should.

00:06:39.580 And thankfully, no one was.

00:06:41.160 But out of all the famous leftists who used the Smollett hoax as an opportunity to prove their woke bona fides,

00:06:49.080 none could top Ellen Page, who, back when she was Ellen Page,

00:06:53.560 went on Stephen Colbert's late-night show and tearfully blamed Mike Pence

00:06:57.720 for the fact that Jussie Smollett attacked himself.

00:07:01.160 Now, in retrospect,

00:07:03.100 not even in retrospect, but even at the time,

00:07:05.220 this is maybe the funniest segment Stephen Colbert has ever aired.

00:07:08.720 And it was unintentionally funny.

00:07:11.300 Let's go back and watch a little bit of this again.

00:07:14.280 I'm, like, really fired up tonight, but...

00:07:16.700 I don't know. This is how...

00:07:17.480 You have to be fired up.

00:07:18.360 It feels impossible to not feel this way right now with the president and the vice president, Mike Pence,

00:07:23.520 who, like, wishes I couldn't be married.

00:07:25.360 Let's just be clear.

00:07:27.420 The vice president of America wishes I didn't have the love with my wife.

00:07:31.640 He wanted to ban that in Indiana.

00:07:35.960 He believes in conversion therapy.

00:07:41.160 He has hurt LGBTQ people so badly as the government of Indiana,

00:07:45.240 and I think the thing we need to know,

00:07:46.660 and I hope my show, Gaycation, did this,

00:07:48.940 in terms of connecting the dots,

00:07:50.440 in terms of what happened the other day to Jussie.

00:07:52.320 I don't know him personally.

00:07:53.500 I sent all of my love.

00:07:55.520 Connect the dots.

00:08:00.500 This is what happens.

00:08:02.060 If you are in a position of power,

00:08:04.000 and you hate people, 0.76

00:08:06.040 and you want to cause suffering to them,

00:08:09.060 you go through the trouble.

00:08:10.520 You spend your career trying to cause suffering.

00:08:13.760 What do you think is going to happen?

00:08:17.400 Kids are going to be abused, 0.99

00:08:19.040 and they're going to kill themselves, 0.95

00:08:20.640 and people are going to be beaten on the street. 0.95

00:08:25.520 I have traveled the world,

00:08:28.140 and I have met the most marginalized people you could meet.

00:08:32.280 I am lucky to have this time,

00:08:34.280 and the privilege to say this. 0.84

00:08:39.520 This needs to f***ing stop.

00:08:43.140 So powerful, so sincere. 0.84

00:08:44.900 I mean, she literally sounds like she's reading a script.

00:08:47.700 She's met the most marginalized people,

00:08:51.280 like, you know, Hollywood actors.

00:08:53.420 Very marginalized.

00:08:54.140 How does this work, by the way?

00:08:56.700 Because Ellen Page is a man now, she says,

00:08:58.840 so her relationship with her wife

00:09:00.120 is actually a heterosexual marriage.

00:09:03.760 You know, however that works, I don't know.

00:09:06.140 We know that Ellen Page

00:09:08.780 was a privileged white male

00:09:12.100 mansplaining about the Jussie Smollett case.

00:09:15.240 And, of course, everything she said was wrong.

00:09:17.480 What we have to understand about Ellen Page,

00:09:19.360 and Joe Biden, and Kamala Harris,

00:09:21.520 and all the rest of them,

00:09:22.300 is that they all, of course, knew that the hoax was a hoax.

00:09:25.400 At least they knew that it very well may have been.

00:09:28.100 But in their minds, even if it wasn't true,

00:09:31.080 it was still true on some deeper, more ambiguous level.

00:09:35.480 You know, if Jussie Smollett wasn't a victim

00:09:37.080 of two white guys in MAGA hats in Chicago

00:09:39.640 at 2 a.m. in January,

00:09:40.820 he was still a victim in general,

00:09:43.080 as far as they were concerned.

00:09:44.780 Not only that,

00:09:45.580 but he was, by virtue of his identity,

00:09:48.200 a victim of white guys in MAGA hats.

00:09:51.660 None of them have to actually attack him

00:09:53.620 or do anything to him

00:09:55.580 or even say anything to him

00:09:57.160 to victimize him.

00:09:59.060 They victimize him by existing,

00:10:01.320 and he is victimized,

00:10:02.680 and he is victimized by existing.

00:10:04.720 This is the tortured thought process of a leftist.

00:10:07.560 And it's how they justify

00:10:08.880 elevating and amplifying

00:10:10.240 and demanding that we believe

00:10:11.380 every race hoax that has ever been concocted.

00:10:13.800 Because even if it's not true,

00:10:16.940 it's still true.

00:10:18.640 What was that phrase from Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez?

00:10:23.860 You know, something can be factually wrong,

00:10:25.780 but morally correct,

00:10:26.820 or something like that?

00:10:28.780 And that's how they look at it.

00:10:30.760 They've decided ahead of time

00:10:32.220 who the villains are

00:10:33.640 and who the heroes are.

00:10:35.040 The details of any individual case

00:10:37.100 are irrelevant.

00:10:38.300 And even if it ends up not being true,

00:10:40.260 technically speaking,

00:10:41.540 by amplifying it,

00:10:43.040 they still succeed

00:10:43.780 in reinforcing their victim narrative

00:10:45.400 and driving a wedge between the races,

00:10:47.500 which is their true intention.

00:10:49.400 That's also why,

00:10:50.260 going back to Jussie's punishment,

00:10:52.300 in a truly just country,

00:10:55.900 I know I said our justice system is working,

00:10:57.780 but maybe we could say

00:10:59.240 in these few cases,

00:11:00.180 it's worked as well as we can expect.

00:11:02.880 But if it really worked,

00:11:04.980 Jussie Smollett ought to be charged

00:11:06.500 with a hate crime himself.

00:11:07.960 You know,

00:11:10.340 just like if you falsely claim 0.94

00:11:12.700 that someone raped you

00:11:14.200 and it's proven that it was a false claim, 0.95

00:11:16.740 then you should get the penalty

00:11:18.740 that they would have gotten

00:11:20.480 had they been convicted

00:11:22.000 based on your false claims.

00:11:24.460 And so if you claim a hate crime

00:11:26.660 and it didn't happen,

00:11:28.700 then you should be charged

00:11:30.560 with a hate crime yourself.

00:11:31.600 Now, the hate crime category

00:11:34.440 is intentionally vague

00:11:36.780 and arbitrary

00:11:37.580 and shouldn't exist.

00:11:39.460 I mean, you could argue

00:11:40.000 that almost all crime

00:11:41.040 is motivated by hate

00:11:42.060 on some level,

00:11:43.560 or most of it,

00:11:45.000 or worse,

00:11:46.100 by indifference.

00:11:48.080 I mean, who's to say

00:11:48.740 that crimes driven by hate

00:11:50.400 are worse than crimes

00:11:51.660 driven by indifference

00:11:52.740 to human life?

00:11:53.760 Most school shootings

00:11:54.700 fall into this latter category.

00:11:57.120 Maybe not so much hate

00:11:58.320 as just total indifference

00:11:59.820 to human life.

00:12:00.400 Much of the violence

00:12:02.440 that we see in our cities

00:12:03.360 is motivated by

00:12:05.060 total indifference

00:12:06.220 to human life.

00:12:08.820 Is that better

00:12:10.400 than being motivated by hate?

00:12:12.880 And who's to say

00:12:13.820 which sort of hate

00:12:14.880 is worse than other kinds of hate?

00:12:17.340 The whole category, again,

00:12:18.660 should not exist,

00:12:19.360 but since it does,

00:12:21.020 it ought to be used here

00:12:22.260 against Jussie Smollett.

00:12:24.440 Because we should be clear

00:12:25.560 about what this was.

00:12:27.580 It was not just a hoax

00:12:29.220 or a scam.

00:12:30.400 I mean, it was both

00:12:31.000 of those things.

00:12:32.520 But it was also

00:12:33.380 an anti-white hate crime.

00:12:35.480 Now remember,

00:12:36.220 hate crimes do not need

00:12:37.200 to be targeted

00:12:37.840 at any individual

00:12:38.880 single person.

00:12:40.500 So if you hang a noose

00:12:41.760 on a tree

00:12:42.220 as a threat 0.99

00:12:42.700 to black people in general, 0.99

00:12:44.020 you'll be charged 0.99

00:12:44.940 with a hate crime.

00:12:45.840 Of course, as it happens,

00:12:46.960 every noose on a tree story

00:12:48.320 ends up being a hoax

00:12:49.320 or somebody misinterpreted

00:12:51.200 a tire swing or something.

00:12:52.800 But if ever there is

00:12:54.640 a real case,

00:12:55.520 if that ever actually happens,

00:12:56.840 it will be a hate crime

00:12:58.620 and be charged that way

00:13:00.360 even if there is

00:13:01.120 no one specific

00:13:02.240 individual victim.

00:13:04.700 So Jussie Smollett's hoax

00:13:05.840 was an attack

00:13:06.660 on white people

00:13:07.740 in general,

00:13:09.600 white conservatives

00:13:10.240 especially.

00:13:11.240 It was meant to stir up

00:13:12.500 hatred and resentment

00:13:13.440 towards that group.

00:13:14.440 He had other motivations

00:13:15.140 as well.

00:13:17.220 You know,

00:13:17.360 this was also a ploy

00:13:19.000 in contract negotiations.

00:13:20.340 As it turns out,

00:13:23.020 you know,

00:13:23.200 maybe the worst

00:13:24.100 contract negotiating technique

00:13:27.120 ever employed

00:13:27.940 by anybody.

00:13:29.460 But on top of that,

00:13:31.180 he had ideological

00:13:32.000 and other kinds

00:13:33.700 of motivations.

00:13:35.720 And one of them

00:13:36.740 was anti-white.

00:13:39.720 It was meant to reinforce 0.60

00:13:41.140 the worst stereotypes 0.92

00:13:42.660 about white people, 0.97

00:13:44.560 white men,

00:13:45.100 white conservatives.

00:13:46.840 And I have no doubt,

00:13:48.280 you know,

00:13:48.580 that if two random

00:13:50.160 white saps

00:13:51.160 had made the

00:13:52.140 unfortunate mistake

00:13:53.020 of walking somewhere

00:13:54.280 nearby on that night

00:13:55.640 in Chicago

00:13:56.120 and the police

00:13:57.620 suspected them

00:13:58.360 of the crime

00:13:58.800 because they happened

00:13:59.820 to be caught

00:14:00.200 on security cameras

00:14:00.980 walking nearby

00:14:01.660 or something,

00:14:02.600 Smollett would have

00:14:03.120 had no problem

00:14:04.060 sending them to prison

00:14:05.660 for 40 years

00:14:06.340 to pay for a crime

00:14:07.120 that he made up.

00:14:08.640 I have no doubt

00:14:09.580 about that.

00:14:10.780 That's the other thing

00:14:11.280 about a hoax hate crime

00:14:12.560 is that you're

00:14:15.480 throwing this out there,

00:14:17.600 this grenade,

00:14:18.660 you're pulling the pin

00:14:19.280 on the grenade

00:14:19.620 and throwing it out there

00:14:20.440 and if it explodes

00:14:22.000 and takes some

00:14:22.580 innocent person out,

00:14:23.940 that's your fault

00:14:25.580 and you apparently

00:14:26.420 have no problem

00:14:27.100 with that.

00:14:28.280 That's why you're

00:14:29.000 doing it.

00:14:31.620 So if there was

00:14:32.740 real justice

00:14:33.480 in this country,

00:14:34.620 you know,

00:14:36.000 if someone had

00:14:36.580 actually done that

00:14:37.460 to Jussie Smollett

00:14:38.260 and it wasn't

00:14:40.880 his Nigerian friends,

00:14:43.040 but if there were two,

00:14:44.360 if that story

00:14:45.200 somehow

00:14:45.620 in some bizarro world

00:14:46.900 was true,

00:14:48.220 what penalty

00:14:50.240 would those

00:14:50.860 attackers

00:14:52.040 be facing?

00:14:54.120 I'm thinking

00:14:54.680 40 to 50 years

00:14:55.640 in prison probably,

00:14:56.480 if not more.

00:14:58.020 That's what Jussie Smollett

00:14:58.980 should do

00:14:59.360 because this was

00:15:01.700 a hate crime

00:15:02.280 itself.

00:15:04.780 Now let's get

00:15:05.360 to our five headlines.

00:15:06.060 Well, this doesn't

00:15:13.880 happen to me

00:15:14.580 very often,

00:15:15.280 but the prompt

00:15:15.760 I'm given here

00:15:16.320 is to tell you

00:15:16.860 that it's a lot

00:15:17.500 of fun when you're

00:15:18.280 invited to join

00:15:19.480 something that,

00:15:20.660 you know,

00:15:20.800 when you're given

00:15:21.560 an invitation

00:15:22.160 to join something.

00:15:22.840 I don't get invited

00:15:23.360 to a lot of stuff

00:15:23.960 because nobody likes me,

00:15:24.800 but if you've

00:15:25.940 experienced that,

00:15:26.440 you know how fun it is

00:15:27.180 and if you're looking

00:15:27.980 for a job

00:15:28.600 or hoping to get

00:15:29.040 a better one,

00:15:29.680 that's how you

00:15:30.340 could feel

00:15:30.860 when you use

00:15:31.760 ZipRecruiter.

00:15:32.400 ZipRecruiter has

00:15:33.100 switched up the

00:15:33.820 job search game.

00:15:34.660 You can actually

00:15:35.220 hear from employers

00:15:36.240 who want you

00:15:36.960 before you even

00:15:38.420 apply.

00:15:39.360 When you create

00:15:39.720 a free profile

00:15:40.460 on ZipRecruiter.com,

00:15:41.580 they act like

00:15:42.140 your free

00:15:42.540 personal recruiter.

00:15:43.560 ZipRecruiter pitches

00:15:44.640 your profile

00:15:45.220 to employers

00:15:46.060 whose jobs

00:15:46.680 match your experience.

00:15:48.520 So rather than

00:15:49.120 taking the passive

00:15:49.780 approach of just

00:15:50.640 going and Googling

00:15:51.360 or whatever,

00:15:52.200 this is something

00:15:53.360 where it's active,

00:15:54.080 they're going to

00:15:54.280 go out,

00:15:54.600 they're going to

00:15:54.820 pitch you,

00:15:55.180 they're going to

00:15:55.420 find employers for you.

00:15:56.880 If someone from

00:15:57.700 that company really

00:15:58.360 likes what they see,

00:15:59.060 they can personally

00:15:59.720 invite you to apply

00:16:00.740 to their job.

00:16:01.860 The best part is

00:16:02.420 ZipRecruiter's

00:16:02.940 invite to apply

00:16:03.720 makes you feel

00:16:04.400 confident about

00:16:05.120 applying for that

00:16:06.020 job because you

00:16:06.580 know that the

00:16:06.960 employer is

00:16:07.420 already interested

00:16:08.320 in your services

00:16:10.120 potentially.

00:16:10.600 So you have

00:16:11.360 some idea

00:16:11.820 of where you

00:16:12.220 stand.

00:16:12.680 No wonder

00:16:12.980 ZipRecruiter is

00:16:13.520 the number one

00:16:14.220 rated job site

00:16:15.360 by G2.

00:16:16.380 So today I'm

00:16:16.840 inviting you,

00:16:17.580 listener,

00:16:17.840 to try ZipRecruiter

00:16:18.480 for free.

00:16:19.100 Just sign up

00:16:19.580 on ZipRecruiter.com

00:16:20.860 slash easy.

00:16:22.200 Once again,

00:16:22.660 go to ZipRecruiter.com

00:16:23.660 slash easy right now

00:16:24.620 to sign up

00:16:25.040 absolutely free

00:16:25.680 and put ZipRecruiter

00:16:26.700 to work for you.

00:16:28.340 Let's begin

00:16:29.600 with a report

00:16:30.380 from Outkick

00:16:31.020 about the trans

00:16:32.300 swimmer

00:16:33.000 at University of

00:16:33.820 Pennsylvania,

00:16:34.560 a dude who

00:16:35.360 raced against

00:16:35.940 other dudes

00:16:36.520 for three years

00:16:37.180 and then decided

00:16:38.020 in his fourth

00:16:39.100 year that he's

00:16:40.900 a woman.

00:16:42.560 And Outkick

00:16:43.000 was able to

00:16:43.540 speak anonymously

00:16:44.520 because she didn't,

00:16:45.280 you know,

00:16:45.480 for probably obvious

00:16:46.660 reasons,

00:16:47.200 she didn't want to

00:16:47.560 be identified.

00:16:48.540 They were able to

00:16:49.320 speak anonymously

00:16:49.840 to one of his,

00:16:50.500 one of this guy's

00:16:51.240 now teammates,

00:16:52.300 female teammates,

00:16:53.060 and she is not

00:16:55.400 happy and she says

00:16:56.620 that nobody on

00:16:57.560 the team is happy

00:16:58.180 but they can't

00:16:59.840 say that out loud.

00:17:01.480 So let's read now

00:17:02.440 from Outkick.

00:17:03.080 It says,

00:17:03.580 first a little bit

00:17:05.620 of the context.

00:17:06.300 While University of

00:17:06.780 Pennsylvania

00:17:07.200 transgender swimmer

00:17:08.540 Leah Thomas,

00:17:09.400 who spent three years

00:17:10.240 at the Ivy League

00:17:10.880 school swimming as

00:17:12.120 a male,

00:17:12.580 has been busy

00:17:13.120 smashing female 1.00

00:17:14.180 pool records,

00:17:15.480 friction has been

00:17:16.000 building within the

00:17:16.580 team,

00:17:16.920 according to a Penn

00:17:17.660 female swimmer

00:17:18.540 who said that she 0.91

00:17:19.580 feared for her

00:17:20.120 ability to find

00:17:20.780 employment after

00:17:21.380 graduating from

00:17:21.940 college for sharing

00:17:22.920 her honest opinion

00:17:23.820 about a transgender

00:17:24.500 teammate.

00:17:25.520 For that reason,

00:17:26.000 Outkick is granting

00:17:26.640 her anonymity to

00:17:27.940 speak out.

00:17:29.320 By the way,

00:17:29.760 this is written by

00:17:30.360 Joe Kinsey at

00:17:30.920 Outkick.

00:17:31.760 Thomas's latest

00:17:32.740 round of a

00:17:33.640 swimming record

00:17:34.240 destruction came

00:17:35.600 at a three-day

00:17:36.160 meet in Akron,

00:17:37.280 Ohio,

00:17:37.800 where numerous

00:17:38.640 pool meet and

00:17:39.320 program records

00:17:39.960 weren't just

00:17:40.460 destroyed but

00:17:41.220 lowered to a

00:17:41.860 point where

00:17:42.660 they may never

00:17:43.420 be broken.

00:17:45.580 And that means,

00:17:46.640 of course,

00:17:46.940 that after

00:17:48.160 Leah,

00:17:49.960 quote-unquote,

00:17:50.560 Thomas,

00:17:51.000 is long

00:17:52.740 gone,

00:17:53.660 these records

00:17:54.920 are going to

00:17:55.420 stand there

00:17:56.020 and there's

00:17:56.940 not going to

00:17:57.480 be,

00:17:57.740 now there

00:17:57.960 should be

00:17:58.200 an asterisk

00:17:58.660 at least,

00:18:00.240 saying,

00:18:00.660 oh,

00:18:00.760 by the way,

00:18:01.200 this was a

00:18:01.620 dude.

00:18:02.840 And so that

00:18:03.240 way future

00:18:04.000 female swimmers,

00:18:06.640 if they want to

00:18:07.800 go for the

00:18:08.180 record,

00:18:08.560 they know which

00:18:09.020 record they

00:18:09.480 have to beat.

00:18:10.780 But now he's

00:18:11.420 setting these

00:18:11.760 records that

00:18:12.300 this is not

00:18:13.020 just victimizing 0.93

00:18:14.780 the women that 0.95

00:18:15.720 he's racing

00:18:16.480 against in the

00:18:17.180 moment,

00:18:18.100 all future

00:18:18.900 women. 0.81

00:18:19.200 Because now

00:18:20.420 he's taking

00:18:21.060 these records

00:18:21.540 and he's

00:18:21.900 putting them

00:18:22.220 out of

00:18:22.540 reach.

00:18:24.920 Because he

00:18:25.540 has a whole

00:18:26.360 collection of

00:18:26.940 biological advantages

00:18:27.860 that none of

00:18:28.800 these other

00:18:29.100 women have. 1.00

00:18:31.300 And it's not

00:18:32.040 going to be on

00:18:32.660 the record book.

00:18:33.440 There's not

00:18:33.940 going to be

00:18:34.180 anything

00:18:34.620 signifying this.

00:18:40.280 Continues

00:18:40.680 here,

00:18:41.120 in the

00:18:43.520 1650

00:18:44.840 freestyle

00:18:46.220 final,

00:18:46.840 Thomas didn't

00:18:47.280 just win and

00:18:47.940 set new

00:18:48.260 program pool

00:18:48.760 of meat

00:18:48.980 records.

00:18:49.380 It was

00:18:49.520 total

00:18:49.840 annihilation.

00:18:52.760 Penn's

00:18:53.280 Anna

00:18:53.640 Calendazzi

00:18:54.820 finished in

00:18:55.560 second place

00:18:56.200 38 seconds

00:18:57.480 behind Thomas.

00:19:00.060 Now,

00:19:00.400 I don't know

00:19:00.880 if I need to

00:19:01.280 tell you this,

00:19:01.720 but 38

00:19:02.220 seconds

00:19:02.800 in a race

00:19:04.920 of this

00:19:05.240 kind is

00:19:06.400 an enormous

00:19:07.180 gap.

00:19:07.900 Enormous.

00:19:08.300 During a

00:19:10.680 phone interview,

00:19:11.340 a female 0.98

00:19:12.000 Penn swimmer,

00:19:12.880 we don't

00:19:13.100 know her

00:19:13.420 name,

00:19:13.940 says,

00:19:14.240 pretty much

00:19:14.540 everyone

00:19:14.900 individually

00:19:15.440 has spoken

00:19:15.860 to our

00:19:16.140 coaches about

00:19:16.620 not liking

00:19:17.160 this.

00:19:17.540 Our

00:19:17.660 coach,

00:19:18.620 his name

00:19:18.840 is Mike

00:19:19.140 Schnur,

00:19:19.880 just really

00:19:20.420 likes winning.

00:19:21.720 He's like

00:19:22.060 most coaches.

00:19:22.900 I think

00:19:23.120 secretly just

00:19:23.880 knows it's

00:19:24.500 the wrong

00:19:24.920 thing to do.

00:19:26.600 Now,

00:19:26.800 I can't get

00:19:27.100 inside of

00:19:27.560 Mike Schnur's

00:19:28.360 head,

00:19:28.980 but I'm

00:19:30.020 guessing that

00:19:30.880 his motivation

00:19:31.540 for allowing

00:19:32.100 this to

00:19:33.080 happen,

00:19:33.660 for going

00:19:34.280 along with

00:19:34.700 this farce,

00:19:35.840 it might be

00:19:36.280 partly that he

00:19:36.820 likes winning,

00:19:37.420 but I think

00:19:37.880 it's even

00:19:38.220 more cowardice.

00:19:44.680 I think

00:19:45.600 she does

00:19:46.000 him a

00:19:46.320 favor by

00:19:47.080 saying that

00:19:48.100 the coach

00:19:48.800 is going

00:19:49.100 along with

00:19:49.600 this because

00:19:50.040 of this

00:19:51.160 over-competitiveness

00:19:52.900 or something,

00:19:54.720 because he

00:19:55.200 wants to

00:19:55.720 win too

00:19:56.260 much.

00:19:58.120 That would

00:19:58.740 be bad

00:19:59.080 enough,

00:19:59.460 but that's

00:19:59.840 not as

00:20:00.480 bad as

00:20:01.000 the reality,

00:20:01.780 which is

00:20:02.200 that Mike

00:20:03.340 Schnur is 0.94

00:20:03.920 almost

00:20:04.600 certainly

00:20:05.240 humiliated and

00:20:06.740 embarrassed by

00:20:07.520 all of

00:20:07.820 this.

00:20:09.280 Does he

00:20:09.940 actually want

00:20:10.600 to win

00:20:11.020 like this

00:20:12.500 with a

00:20:14.520 dude racing

00:20:15.080 against girls?

00:20:16.820 I would

00:20:17.460 say almost

00:20:17.880 certainly

00:20:18.200 no,

00:20:19.480 but he's

00:20:20.680 too afraid

00:20:21.000 to say

00:20:21.260 anything.

00:20:23.200 She continues,

00:20:24.280 when the whole

00:20:24.600 team is

00:20:24.900 together,

00:20:25.280 we have to

00:20:25.660 be like,

00:20:26.060 oh my

00:20:26.340 gosh,

00:20:26.780 go Leah,

00:20:27.360 that's

00:20:27.600 great,

00:20:27.880 you're

00:20:28.000 amazing,

00:20:28.600 it's very

00:20:28.980 fake.

00:20:29.380 and then

00:20:33.580 she continues

00:20:34.060 talking about

00:20:34.740 how nobody

00:20:38.360 likes this

00:20:38.800 on the

00:20:39.040 team,

00:20:39.520 but they

00:20:40.660 feel like

00:20:41.040 they can't

00:20:41.400 say anything,

00:20:42.620 and they

00:20:43.160 think that

00:20:43.480 if they

00:20:43.680 say something,

00:20:44.420 they're going

00:20:44.760 to be

00:20:45.280 cast as

00:20:47.160 transphobes

00:20:47.940 and bigots,

00:20:48.480 and this

00:20:48.700 is going

00:20:48.960 to affect

00:20:49.360 them not

00:20:49.720 just in

00:20:50.140 their social

00:20:50.540 life,

00:20:50.860 not just

00:20:51.140 at school,

00:20:51.720 but going

00:20:52.300 forward in

00:20:53.060 their professional

00:20:54.900 lives as

00:20:55.340 well.

00:20:55.940 And they're

00:20:56.580 probably right.

00:20:58.660 Now,

00:20:59.260 one of the

00:20:59.540 ways that

00:20:59.780 this is

00:21:00.020 being

00:21:00.200 justified

00:21:00.680 is that

00:21:01.580 Thomas

00:21:04.380 has started

00:21:06.480 taking

00:21:06.960 hormone

00:21:07.600 pills.

00:21:08.420 He started

00:21:09.440 the transition,

00:21:11.180 and so his

00:21:11.540 testosterone levels

00:21:12.480 have dropped.

00:21:14.180 And so that's

00:21:14.580 supposed to

00:21:14.900 mean that it's

00:21:15.360 perfectly fair

00:21:16.600 for him to

00:21:17.000 race against

00:21:17.380 the girls 0.99

00:21:17.720 in that

00:21:17.940 case.

00:21:18.940 But Outkick

00:21:19.700 does a good

00:21:20.140 job of

00:21:20.960 not just

00:21:22.100 comparing

00:21:22.660 this guy's

00:21:24.140 times to

00:21:24.840 the other

00:21:25.120 girls, 0.91

00:21:25.500 and when

00:21:25.720 you do

00:21:25.980 that,

00:21:26.260 you see

00:21:26.500 what an

00:21:26.760 absolute,

00:21:27.240 again,

00:21:27.400 what a

00:21:27.600 farce this

00:21:28.040 is,

00:21:28.720 that he's

00:21:29.040 just

00:21:29.300 destroying 0.64

00:21:30.020 them.

00:21:31.280 They have

00:21:31.880 no chance,

00:21:33.020 but also

00:21:34.660 they compare

00:21:35.420 his times

00:21:36.440 racing against

00:21:38.600 the women 0.97

00:21:38.960 to his

00:21:40.140 times in

00:21:40.940 his first

00:21:41.380 three years

00:21:42.080 racing against

00:21:43.060 men.

00:21:45.420 And if

00:21:46.020 the testosterone

00:21:47.240 suppression and

00:21:48.060 all that kind

00:21:48.380 of stuff,

00:21:48.680 the pills that

00:21:49.140 he's taking,

00:21:50.100 if it made

00:21:51.000 that big of

00:21:51.740 a difference,

00:21:52.100 you should

00:21:52.400 see it in

00:21:52.900 his times.

00:21:53.300 And what

00:21:53.460 you find

00:21:53.840 instead,

00:21:54.720 like for

00:21:55.040 example,

00:21:55.380 the 200

00:21:55.740 freestyle,

00:21:56.420 200 meter

00:21:56.820 freestyle,

00:21:58.220 against the

00:21:59.020 women, 1.00

00:21:59.820 he swims

00:22:00.860 a 140,

00:22:02.760 basically

00:22:03.100 142,

00:22:04.320 just about

00:22:04.660 142.

00:22:06.340 And when

00:22:07.260 he was

00:22:07.440 racing against

00:22:07.940 the men,

00:22:08.700 before he

00:22:09.140 started taking

00:22:09.600 the pills and

00:22:10.220 when he had

00:22:10.560 more testosterone

00:22:11.520 coursing through

00:22:12.500 him,

00:22:13.360 he was at

00:22:14.320 a 139.3.

00:22:15.840 So he

00:22:17.180 goes from

00:22:17.420 a 139.3

00:22:18.440 to a

00:22:18.720 141.9.

00:22:20.700 That's a

00:22:21.220 difference.

00:22:21.920 Every second

00:22:22.500 counts.

00:22:24.460 But that

00:22:25.040 still puts

00:22:25.600 him far

00:22:27.300 above most

00:22:28.100 other women. 1.00

00:22:30.020 It makes

00:22:30.700 a small

00:22:31.360 difference.

00:22:32.840 Not a

00:22:33.380 very big

00:22:33.700 one.

00:22:33.900 And why

00:22:34.120 doesn't it

00:22:34.620 make a

00:22:34.840 very big

00:22:35.220 difference?

00:22:35.620 Well,

00:22:35.760 because

00:22:36.000 testosterone

00:22:36.900 is not

00:22:37.740 the only

00:22:38.240 advantage

00:22:38.840 that men

00:22:39.700 have.

00:22:40.200 this is

00:22:42.620 the total

00:22:43.340 absurdity

00:22:44.120 that the

00:22:45.840 pro-trans

00:22:46.300 people engage

00:22:46.980 in,

00:22:47.220 where they

00:22:47.540 pretend

00:22:48.100 that the

00:22:49.780 only difference

00:22:50.500 between men

00:22:50.940 and women

00:22:51.160 is testosterone.

00:22:53.160 But of

00:22:53.420 course,

00:22:53.620 even if that

00:22:54.000 was true,

00:22:55.080 by admitting

00:22:56.000 that,

00:22:57.880 you are

00:22:59.100 admitting

00:22:59.360 there's a

00:22:59.720 difference.

00:23:01.600 Pretending

00:23:02.040 that that's

00:23:02.380 the only

00:23:02.740 difference

00:23:03.080 still means

00:23:03.540 that there

00:23:03.860 is a

00:23:04.180 biological

00:23:04.580 difference

00:23:05.120 between

00:23:05.320 the two.

00:23:05.940 If trans 1.00

00:23:06.600 women are 1.00

00:23:07.100 women, 1.00

00:23:08.260 if there's

00:23:08.740 no difference

00:23:09.500 between

00:23:09.920 them,

00:23:11.240 then why

00:23:11.980 does the

00:23:12.320 trans woman

00:23:12.980 have to

00:23:13.320 take any

00:23:13.700 pills at

00:23:14.080 all?

00:23:16.520 If they're

00:23:17.120 exactly the

00:23:17.780 same,

00:23:20.000 the quote-unquote

00:23:21.100 trans woman

00:23:21.760 shouldn't have 0.97

00:23:22.180 to take

00:23:22.420 pills.

00:23:25.340 So,

00:23:25.880 they're

00:23:26.200 reducing all

00:23:27.060 of the

00:23:27.280 differences

00:23:27.540 between men

00:23:27.920 and women. 0.98

00:23:28.200 They're

00:23:28.280 reducing it

00:23:28.660 down to

00:23:28.980 this one

00:23:29.520 thing,

00:23:30.280 hormones,

00:23:31.200 and by

00:23:32.440 doing that,

00:23:33.160 they're still

00:23:33.640 admitting that

00:23:35.360 their whole

00:23:35.680 position is

00:23:36.180 nonsensical

00:23:36.680 and wrong.

00:23:39.500 But as

00:23:40.740 always with

00:23:41.140 the left,

00:23:41.560 when they're

00:23:41.800 trying to

00:23:42.340 justify,

00:23:42.780 especially when

00:23:43.260 it comes to

00:23:43.600 gender ideology,

00:23:45.160 everything they

00:23:46.340 say is so

00:23:47.440 wrong,

00:23:47.900 and there are

00:23:48.220 so many

00:23:48.620 levels of

00:23:49.320 wrongness that

00:23:50.500 you don't

00:23:51.000 even know

00:23:51.340 where to

00:23:51.640 start.

00:23:53.660 And sometimes

00:23:54.040 it's almost

00:23:55.140 overwhelming and

00:23:56.060 intimidating.

00:23:56.800 Maybe this is

00:23:57.640 one of the

00:23:57.840 reasons why

00:23:58.120 people stay

00:23:58.900 away from

00:23:59.700 this issue.

00:24:00.500 The big

00:24:00.840 reason is

00:24:01.220 that they're

00:24:01.500 afraid.

00:24:03.740 But also,

00:24:04.420 it's just so

00:24:05.200 incredibly wrong

00:24:06.580 that, again,

00:24:07.940 you don't

00:24:08.400 know where

00:24:08.740 the access

00:24:09.220 point is.

00:24:10.660 And if you

00:24:11.040 make one

00:24:11.540 argument against

00:24:13.880 this, then

00:24:14.640 you're neglecting,

00:24:15.560 there are 50

00:24:16.200 other really

00:24:16.740 good arguments

00:24:17.220 you're neglecting.

00:24:20.320 That's what the

00:24:20.940 left does.

00:24:21.360 They overwhelm

00:24:22.320 you with

00:24:22.580 wrongness.

00:24:23.820 They just

00:24:24.600 drown you in

00:24:25.280 it.

00:24:26.060 Speaking of

00:24:26.660 swimming.

00:24:29.100 So, you

00:24:31.280 know, that's

00:24:31.620 why even if

00:24:32.700 hormones were 0.84

00:24:33.140 the only

00:24:33.420 difference,

00:24:34.760 that still is

00:24:35.520 a difference,

00:24:36.180 which proves

00:24:36.660 that these

00:24:37.320 are biologically

00:24:38.180 distinct categories

00:24:39.300 of people,

00:24:39.920 right?

00:24:41.200 And putting

00:24:41.940 all of that

00:24:42.540 aside, it's

00:24:44.420 still wrong to

00:24:45.900 have the males 0.99

00:24:46.660 race against

00:24:47.140 the females 0.99

00:24:47.660 because males

00:24:48.580 are not

00:24:48.880 females. 0.98

00:24:51.420 Okay, if

00:24:52.500 Leah Thomas

00:24:53.180 was in the

00:24:54.480 middle of the

00:24:54.880 pack against

00:24:55.820 the females 0.99

00:24:56.440 or even

00:24:58.120 losing, does

00:25:00.480 that make it

00:25:00.900 right?

00:25:01.820 No, because

00:25:03.220 she's not a 1.00

00:25:03.620 female.

00:25:06.180 Okay, that

00:25:06.520 would just

00:25:06.740 make him

00:25:07.080 a really,

00:25:07.580 really bad

00:25:08.140 swimmer as

00:25:08.740 a male.

00:25:11.620 But we

00:25:12.160 should also

00:25:12.600 note that

00:25:13.320 hormones are

00:25:14.080 not the

00:25:14.860 only difference

00:25:15.380 between men

00:25:15.740 and women. 0.98

00:25:17.060 And this

00:25:17.660 comes through

00:25:18.040 especially in

00:25:18.860 swimming.

00:25:21.500 You know,

00:25:22.220 the differences

00:25:23.040 are every

00:25:24.720 part of us.

00:25:26.820 I mean,

00:25:27.020 literally, if

00:25:27.760 you are a

00:25:28.280 male, every

00:25:29.200 part of you 0.86

00:25:30.180 is male,

00:25:30.980 right down to

00:25:32.260 your DNA,

00:25:32.800 which is

00:25:33.300 why when

00:25:34.580 you're dead 0.84

00:25:35.440 and gone 1.00

00:25:36.020 and only

00:25:37.340 a rotted

00:25:38.440 corpse

00:25:38.860 remains and

00:25:41.320 they're not

00:25:41.600 able to,

00:25:42.200 you know,

00:25:44.060 test testosterone

00:25:45.260 levels on

00:25:45.980 you, they'll

00:25:47.540 still be able

00:25:48.340 to tell that

00:25:49.360 you are a

00:25:49.780 male.

00:25:51.060 If only a

00:25:52.100 piece of you

00:25:52.760 remains a

00:25:53.320 hundred years

00:25:53.900 hence and

00:25:55.080 they dig you

00:25:55.640 up, they'll be

00:25:56.100 able to tell

00:25:56.500 you're a male

00:25:56.900 because you

00:25:57.300 are a male

00:25:57.900 down to your 0.94

00:25:58.520 bones, down

00:25:59.660 to your cells,

00:26:00.500 down to your

00:26:00.900 DNA.

00:26:01.280 And many

00:26:05.680 of those

00:26:06.020 differences, I

00:26:06.520 mean, there

00:26:06.740 are dozens

00:26:07.460 and dozens 0.82

00:26:08.060 and dozens 0.82

00:26:08.740 of biological

00:26:09.400 differences that,

00:26:10.740 I mean, really

00:26:11.180 there are

00:26:11.540 thousands of

00:26:12.200 biological

00:26:12.520 differences

00:26:12.840 between men

00:26:13.160 and women

00:26:13.360 because, again,

00:26:14.420 it goes right

00:26:14.740 down to the

00:26:15.100 cells, but

00:26:16.320 there are at

00:26:16.800 least dozens

00:26:17.480 of differences

00:26:18.040 that specifically

00:26:19.020 give you an

00:26:19.680 advantage in

00:26:20.340 something like

00:26:20.760 swimming.

00:26:24.020 But these,

00:26:25.060 even the one

00:26:26.000 girl who will 0.99

00:26:26.920 speak out

00:26:27.340 anonymously,

00:26:28.580 she'll only do

00:26:29.060 it anonymously.

00:26:31.280 And I can

00:26:32.840 understand that,

00:26:34.060 by the way,

00:26:35.280 and it is

00:26:36.180 easy for me

00:26:36.940 to say,

00:26:37.580 sitting here,

00:26:38.240 especially as

00:26:38.780 someone who

00:26:39.100 gets paid to

00:26:39.680 talk about

00:26:40.060 these issues

00:26:40.540 and to say

00:26:40.980 quote-unquote

00:26:41.360 controversial

00:26:41.800 things,

00:26:43.240 so I'm not

00:26:44.020 in the position

00:26:44.580 that these

00:26:44.960 girls are in.

00:26:48.260 But even

00:26:49.000 so, there

00:26:49.700 is no hope

00:26:51.220 for any of

00:26:53.040 this unless we

00:26:53.720 are going to

00:26:54.180 be courageous

00:26:54.740 and start

00:26:55.700 speaking the

00:26:57.020 truth.

00:26:57.320 emperor has

00:27:00.580 no clothes.

00:27:01.180 You need at

00:27:02.200 least one

00:27:02.820 person in

00:27:03.640 the crowd

00:27:04.120 to stand

00:27:04.620 up and

00:27:04.920 say, he

00:27:06.120 has no

00:27:06.420 clothes.

00:27:07.960 And the

00:27:08.460 whole point

00:27:08.920 of that

00:27:09.300 parable is

00:27:10.140 that it's

00:27:10.560 an emperor.

00:27:12.840 And this

00:27:13.060 is just some

00:27:13.500 random citizen

00:27:14.260 pointing that

00:27:14.980 out.

00:27:15.960 Not in a

00:27:16.580 position of

00:27:17.020 power.

00:27:18.100 Very much

00:27:18.900 susceptible

00:27:19.820 and vulnerable.

00:27:21.160 Could be

00:27:21.760 punished in

00:27:22.260 many different

00:27:23.620 ways for

00:27:25.340 embarrassing the

00:27:25.940 emperor, but

00:27:26.340 someone's got to

00:27:26.900 do it.

00:27:27.320 And the

00:27:31.820 thing is, the

00:27:33.400 male intrusion 1.00

00:27:34.080 into female

00:27:34.680 sports, that

00:27:35.860 could be

00:27:36.180 stopped tomorrow.

00:27:38.220 I mean, that

00:27:38.460 could be stopped

00:27:38.840 today.

00:27:39.160 That could be

00:27:39.400 stopped immediately

00:27:40.120 if the girls 0.87

00:27:41.900 on these teams

00:27:42.860 refused to

00:27:43.740 participate and

00:27:46.180 said, we're

00:27:46.640 not going to

00:27:47.860 any matches,

00:27:48.680 we're not going

00:27:49.200 to any meets,

00:27:49.740 we're not going

00:27:50.080 to any games,

00:27:50.660 whatever the

00:27:50.940 sport is.

00:27:53.160 We're not

00:27:53.700 going to

00:27:53.900 participate anymore

00:27:54.840 until the

00:27:55.340 males are gone. 1.00

00:27:55.940 if all the 0.84

00:27:59.240 girls said 0.97

00:27:59.640 that, or

00:28:00.080 even half

00:28:01.000 of them, or

00:28:02.180 even a

00:28:02.500 sizable

00:28:02.880 minority said

00:28:03.600 that, this

00:28:04.160 is over, this

00:28:04.900 is done.

00:28:08.480 So in fact, we

00:28:09.440 do have a lot

00:28:10.020 of power as

00:28:10.980 the sane

00:28:11.400 people in

00:28:12.060 this country,

00:28:12.540 but we have

00:28:13.280 to use it.

00:28:14.100 that's what

00:28:16.620 makes it so

00:28:17.000 frustrating and

00:28:17.720 tragic, is

00:28:19.620 that in fact

00:28:20.080 what's going

00:28:21.280 on, especially

00:28:21.720 with gender

00:28:22.380 ideology, almost

00:28:24.160 everyone knows

00:28:24.840 that it's

00:28:25.100 wrong, almost

00:28:27.020 everyone recognizes 0.98

00:28:27.900 how ridiculous 0.98

00:28:28.480 it is and how 0.99

00:28:29.120 harmful it is

00:28:29.800 and how unfair

00:28:30.600 it is, almost

00:28:31.040 everyone does.

00:28:35.220 And we have

00:28:35.840 the power to

00:28:36.340 stop it because

00:28:36.920 we have numbers,

00:28:37.740 but we don't

00:28:38.180 use the power

00:28:38.640 that we have.

00:28:39.060 All right, Fox

00:28:42.000 News is getting

00:28:42.620 made fun of

00:28:43.140 because of

00:28:43.480 their reaction

00:28:44.000 to their

00:28:44.460 tree being

00:28:45.020 burned, which

00:28:45.980 happened a few

00:28:46.340 days ago, their

00:28:47.000 big Christmas

00:28:47.600 tree outside

00:28:48.680 in Times

00:28:51.320 Square, burned

00:28:52.320 by a homeless

00:28:52.820 guy who was

00:28:53.660 immediately released

00:28:54.520 on no bail, by

00:28:55.560 the way, despite

00:28:56.080 starting a massive

00:28:56.920 fire in the

00:28:58.120 middle of a city

00:28:58.780 and I think the

00:29:00.760 tree was worth

00:29:01.260 like half a

00:29:01.680 million dollars.

00:29:03.340 But the left

00:29:04.000 is accusing Fox

00:29:04.780 of kind of

00:29:05.180 milking the story,

00:29:06.000 I guess.

00:29:06.360 Here's how Fox

00:29:07.140 and Friends

00:29:07.580 addressed it a

00:29:08.560 couple days ago.

00:29:10.020 Here's the thing.

00:29:10.960 In New York, under

00:29:12.020 the new liberal

00:29:13.560 policies of bail

00:29:14.480 reform, arson is

00:29:15.780 only a felony.

00:29:16.740 You can only be

00:29:17.340 held if it's a

00:29:18.020 felony, if the

00:29:19.320 suspect tries to

00:29:20.320 harm a person or

00:29:21.980 commits a hate

00:29:23.220 crime.

00:29:23.780 And apparently

00:29:24.540 lighting a

00:29:25.300 Christmas tree on

00:29:26.420 fire is not a

00:29:27.560 hate crime.

00:29:28.040 Even though a

00:29:28.860 lot of people

00:29:29.420 could have been

00:29:30.180 injured?

00:29:30.780 Yeah, but here's

00:29:32.040 the thing.

00:29:32.360 Who says it's not

00:29:32.800 a hate crime

00:29:33.200 against us, against

00:29:34.200 Fox News?

00:29:35.240 Here's the thing.

00:29:36.480 What we do know

00:29:37.220 for sure, and we

00:29:38.700 don't know the

00:29:39.100 guy's motivation.

00:29:40.080 But the judge

00:29:40.820 could ask and be

00:29:41.580 under suspicion and

00:29:42.500 keep him locked

00:29:43.040 up.

00:29:43.340 Well, he might

00:29:43.800 have.

00:29:44.060 But here's what we

00:29:45.160 do know.

00:29:45.820 According to the

00:29:46.500 New York Post, which

00:29:47.220 is co-owned with us,

00:29:48.400 that Christmas tree

00:29:49.260 was half a million

00:29:50.280 dollars.

00:29:50.560 I know.

00:29:51.220 So this guy

00:29:51.980 tortures a half a

00:29:53.320 million dollars worth

00:29:54.340 of property, and he

00:29:55.580 gets to walk?

00:29:56.460 So the left is having

00:29:58.860 fun with the fact that

00:29:59.460 Brian Kilmeade said

00:30:00.140 that it's a hate

00:30:00.760 crime against Fox

00:30:01.340 News.

00:30:01.600 Clearly, he was

00:30:01.980 half-kidding about

00:30:02.520 that.

00:30:03.660 But overall, Fox's

00:30:04.800 reaction to this has

00:30:05.700 been pretty reasonable,

00:30:07.340 I think, because I'm

00:30:08.020 just imagining.

00:30:09.500 Think about if this

00:30:10.400 happened to CNN.

00:30:12.580 If somebody set one

00:30:13.680 of their, you know, if

00:30:14.380 they had a tree or

00:30:14.880 something that was

00:30:15.260 set on fire, they

00:30:16.700 probably don't have a

00:30:17.260 Christmas tree because

00:30:17.840 they're heathens.

00:30:18.420 But, you know, if they

00:30:19.560 had something, and if

00:30:21.840 they put out a, if they

00:30:22.900 had a big, like, unity

00:30:24.100 diversity tree or something

00:30:25.440 in front of their

00:30:26.420 studios, and somebody

00:30:27.020 set that on fire, can

00:30:28.840 you think they would

00:30:29.440 never stop?

00:30:30.060 It'd be the only thing

00:30:30.600 they talked about for

00:30:31.140 the next six years.

00:30:33.460 We'd get all these,

00:30:34.260 like, tearful montages

00:30:35.340 of CNN anchors talking

00:30:36.920 about how journalism is

00:30:38.220 under attack.

00:30:41.580 This is why we are the

00:30:42.900 firefighters for truth.

00:30:44.580 Literally now, our tree

00:30:45.580 is aflame.

00:30:48.480 Can you imagine that?

00:30:50.840 The self-martyring that

00:30:52.020 would happen on CNN if

00:30:54.800 they were the targets of

00:30:55.980 an attack like this.

00:30:57.900 Speaking of CNN, in

00:31:00.140 fact, we don't have to

00:31:00.760 imagine how they are

00:31:01.700 responding to the Fox

00:31:03.540 News tree being set on

00:31:05.200 fire.

00:31:06.200 Here is how CNN has

00:31:07.720 responded to it.

00:31:08.200 Let's watch.

00:31:09.700 Obviously, it's

00:31:10.360 incredibly scary to feel

00:31:11.900 that your workplace is

00:31:12.880 under attack, unless

00:31:14.660 your workplace is the

00:31:21.960 Capitol.

00:31:22.320 Then, according to many,

00:31:23.720 many Fox hosts, it's not

00:31:25.460 such a big deal.

00:31:26.500 At Fox, when the target is

00:31:27.980 a Christmas tree at their

00:31:29.420 workplace, it is a

00:31:30.540 sacrilege.

00:31:31.440 But when the target is the

00:31:32.640 seat of American democracy,

00:31:34.300 it's not.

00:31:35.320 The whole of Congress, as

00:31:36.760 they certify a presidential

00:31:37.960 election that was fair and

00:31:39.140 secure.

00:31:39.900 When the perpetrators are

00:31:40.940 Trump supporters in the

00:31:41.920 thousands, four of whom

00:31:43.300 died that day.

00:31:44.680 When the victims are police

00:31:45.900 officers, 140 of whom were

00:31:47.700 injured.

00:31:48.380 And when five police officers

00:31:49.700 have died in the wake of the

00:31:50.940 attack, including four by

00:31:52.100 suicide, when Fox's own

00:31:54.360 colleagues had to take

00:31:55.900 cover inside the Capitol

00:31:57.320 complex on January 6th, Fox

00:31:59.820 downplays the attack.

00:32:01.960 Of course.

00:32:02.900 Bring it back to January 6th.

00:32:04.660 Somehow.

00:32:05.400 Somehow, a homeless guy

00:32:06.380 setting Fox News' tree on

00:32:07.560 fire, Christmas tree on fire,

00:32:09.080 is that we can relate that

00:32:10.700 back to January 6th.

00:32:12.200 Because everything goes back

00:32:13.200 to January 6th.

00:32:13.940 And by the way, what she

00:32:16.740 just said there about five

00:32:18.360 police officers died in the

00:32:19.780 wake of the attack, including

00:32:21.620 suicides.

00:32:23.920 This is the left.

00:32:25.120 They love doing this with

00:32:26.080 suicides, using suicides as

00:32:30.140 emotional blackmail.

00:32:32.540 And lying about them.

00:32:35.480 They do this on like every

00:32:37.160 issue, especially the gender

00:32:38.360 issue, trans issue.

00:32:39.100 And they'll straight up lie

00:32:41.680 and they'll say that, you

00:32:42.820 know, if you if you if you

00:32:44.340 dare suggest that only men 1.00

00:32:47.520 have penises, you are 1.00

00:32:48.480 directly causing people to 1.00

00:32:49.620 kill themselves. 0.51

00:32:51.620 And they have no problem 1.00

00:32:52.580 doing it because they're

00:32:53.060 totally soulless.

00:32:54.640 That's what they're doing

00:32:55.380 here.

00:32:55.640 I mean, yes, there have been

00:32:56.820 Capitol police officers who

00:32:58.160 have tragically committed

00:32:59.260 suicide since January 6th.

00:33:01.800 But to phrase it that way,

00:33:03.500 saying in the wake of the

00:33:05.160 Capitol riot, these officers

00:33:07.220 committed suicide.

00:33:07.840 She is drawing a direct

00:33:09.500 connection.

00:33:11.320 And claiming, implying, not

00:33:13.980 so subtly, that they

00:33:15.000 committed suicide because of

00:33:17.220 the January 6th riot, because

00:33:19.900 they were, you know,

00:33:20.540 traumatized by it or

00:33:21.400 something.

00:33:21.860 There is no evidence of

00:33:23.180 that.

00:33:23.420 There's no indication of

00:33:24.340 that.

00:33:26.100 Nobody has come out and

00:33:27.180 said that, you know, they

00:33:27.880 wrote a suicide note and

00:33:29.000 they indicated that or or

00:33:30.700 or even that in the lead

00:33:32.780 up to them committing

00:33:33.880 suicide, they were they

00:33:34.940 were traumatized by the

00:33:35.780 event.

00:33:35.980 We haven't heard anything

00:33:36.680 like that.

00:33:37.840 And it seems absence of

00:33:43.780 evidence, it's seen

00:33:44.760 absent of evidence.

00:33:45.560 It seems very unlikely

00:33:46.720 that these suicides would

00:33:49.740 have anything to do with

00:33:50.360 the January 6th riot,

00:33:51.220 because there were also

00:33:52.600 riots in 2020 all all

00:33:54.820 across the country.

00:33:57.540 And many of them went on

00:33:59.560 for far longer than the

00:34:00.800 January 6th riot did and

00:34:02.440 were far more violent.

00:34:03.440 And I imagine far scarier for

00:34:05.820 the police involved.

00:34:08.260 And there were no suicides

00:34:09.540 in any of those cases.

00:34:14.660 So, but she has no

00:34:16.540 problem doing it. 0.99

00:34:17.100 Just take a suicide, real 0.98

00:34:18.300 human suffering and use it, 0.98

00:34:20.980 present it as a pawn, a

00:34:23.220 prop.

00:34:23.480 And as far as being a hate

00:34:27.440 crime, I mean, going back to

00:34:28.420 what we just talked about

00:34:29.000 with hate crimes, why not

00:34:30.020 call it a hate crime?

00:34:30.860 Why can't it be?

00:34:32.900 A hate crime.

00:34:34.840 A crime motivated by hate.

00:34:37.560 Now, it seems in this case

00:34:38.680 that this was probably just a 0.73

00:34:40.040 crazy homeless guy who 0.86

00:34:41.140 doesn't know why he did it, 0.99

00:34:42.780 probably doesn't understand

00:34:43.580 any of his motivations behind

00:34:44.580 anything, much like much

00:34:46.600 like the current president

00:34:47.480 of the United States.

00:34:48.940 But if this was done by

00:34:51.280 someone who hates Fox News,

00:34:52.540 well, that's a crime

00:34:53.460 motivated by hate.

00:34:57.040 And so, but for the hate

00:34:58.100 crime designation, which is

00:34:59.060 why the hate crime

00:34:59.880 designation shouldn't exist,

00:35:01.680 the justice system has to

00:35:02.920 say, well, yeah, I mean,

00:35:04.660 it's a crime and this

00:35:07.240 person was hateful, but

00:35:08.320 it's not the kind of hate

00:35:10.220 that we're worried about.

00:35:12.440 It's completely absurd.

00:35:14.080 And as I said, arbitrary.

00:35:16.600 All right.

00:35:18.540 From the Daily Wire, it

00:35:19.580 says, Simone Biles has been

00:35:20.960 named the Times Athlete

00:35:22.980 of the Year, the same year

00:35:24.060 she won one individual

00:35:25.380 bronze medal at the

00:35:26.260 Tokyo Olympics.

00:35:27.420 It's been a tumultuous

00:35:28.160 year for Biles, who entered

00:35:29.500 the Summer Olympics,

00:35:30.300 expected to compete for

00:35:31.760 the gold medal in each of

00:35:32.660 the five individual events

00:35:33.740 she was scheduled to

00:35:34.300 participate in.

00:35:35.220 She managed to only

00:35:36.000 successfully complete,

00:35:37.500 rather compete, in the

00:35:38.400 balance beam.

00:35:40.420 Biles told Time, at that

00:35:42.540 point, it was no longer

00:35:43.500 about meddling, but about

00:35:44.580 getting back out there.

00:35:45.600 I wanted to compete at

00:35:47.560 the Olympics again and

00:35:48.380 have that experience that

00:35:49.300 I came for.

00:35:50.080 I didn't really care about

00:35:51.140 the outcome.

00:35:52.000 On that beam, it was for

00:35:53.580 me.

00:35:54.920 It was all for me, she

00:35:56.280 says.

00:35:57.280 Forget about team spirit.

00:35:59.900 Biles entered the games

00:36:00.820 with sky-high expectations

00:36:02.080 after winning four gold

00:36:02.980 medals in the previous

00:36:03.680 Olympics.

00:36:04.180 Biles was expected by many

00:36:05.540 to top her Rio 2016

00:36:07.140 numbers by becoming the

00:36:08.160 first American female

00:36:09.000 gymnast to win five golds

00:36:10.740 at a single Olympics.

00:36:12.540 But then, of course, as we

00:36:13.480 know, she quit on her team 1.00

00:36:14.680 and now she's been

00:36:17.480 awarded the Time Athlete

00:36:20.940 of the Year for quitting

00:36:22.220 because this is all about

00:36:27.340 mental health.

00:36:27.840 This is about her.

00:36:28.320 She says herself.

00:36:29.300 The one time when she

00:36:30.620 actually got up on the

00:36:31.500 balance beam and competed,

00:36:33.860 it wasn't even, she's not

00:36:34.660 saying that, oh, I had to

00:36:35.440 get out there for my

00:36:36.160 country.

00:36:37.220 It used to be what

00:36:37.780 Olympians said.

00:36:38.460 They were competing for

00:36:39.640 their country.

00:36:40.200 It's not about me.

00:36:41.180 It's about the country.

00:36:43.380 And in sports, that's

00:36:44.460 what you're, that's what

00:36:45.900 we expect and have gotten

00:36:46.920 used to athletes saying.

00:36:48.680 Although that's kind of

00:36:49.460 changing now.

00:36:51.600 But usually they talk

00:36:52.760 about, oh, no, it's not

00:36:54.440 about individual accolades

00:36:55.520 for me.

00:36:55.900 It's about the team.

00:36:56.640 It's about what I'm

00:36:57.140 representing.

00:36:59.520 You know, if it's, if

00:37:00.540 it's professional sports,

00:37:01.400 it's about my city.

00:37:03.160 In Olympics, it's supposed

00:37:04.100 to be about your country.

00:37:04.820 But that all changes

00:37:09.060 now.

00:37:09.520 And now we're supposed

00:37:10.140 to celebrate people.

00:37:11.360 It's a total, it's a

00:37:12.140 total inversion now.

00:37:13.440 Things have been flipped

00:37:15.320 on their head.

00:37:15.980 I mean, it used to be as

00:37:17.220 an athlete, if you were

00:37:19.360 obsessively, openly

00:37:20.680 focused on yourself and

00:37:22.860 your individual accolades,

00:37:24.560 then that was a shameful

00:37:28.200 thing.

00:37:28.540 Now we're supposed to

00:37:29.100 admire it.

00:37:29.720 Because we live in a

00:37:33.180 country now that's run

00:37:35.000 by, you know, leftist

00:37:36.080 principles and leftism

00:37:37.360 is the worship of the

00:37:38.320 self.

00:37:40.140 And so by quitting for

00:37:41.980 the sake of herself and

00:37:43.440 her own mental health or

00:37:44.340 whatever, then it becomes

00:37:45.420 an act of heroism,

00:37:47.240 according to this

00:37:47.860 religion.

00:37:49.440 All right, next.

00:37:50.080 Things have gotten so

00:37:50.720 bad in D.C. that these

00:37:52.300 are the kinds of news

00:37:53.200 reports you might hear if

00:37:55.100 you live in the city,

00:37:56.000 where they are actually

00:37:57.000 giving tips for

00:37:58.040 preventing carjacking.

00:37:59.460 Listen.

00:38:00.860 Here in Greenbelt, we

00:38:02.420 have seen a couple of

00:38:03.420 violent carjackings in

00:38:05.420 the past week or so.

00:38:07.340 Greenbelt police

00:38:08.120 responded to Breezewood

00:38:09.680 Court just the other

00:38:10.580 day.

00:38:11.160 Three men shot and

00:38:12.600 wound, or I should say

00:38:13.620 three men shot and

00:38:15.260 wounded a man and

00:38:16.860 carjacked another

00:38:17.680 person at gunpoint in

00:38:19.160 the middle of the

00:38:19.860 night in order to

00:38:20.940 prevent a carjacking.

00:38:22.660 Well, here's what we

00:38:23.560 should be doing.

00:38:24.180 Police say lock the

00:38:25.500 doors when driving and

00:38:26.980 when pumping gas.

00:38:27.940 In fact, stay in your

00:38:29.240 car if you can at the

00:38:31.460 gas station.

00:38:32.200 Always look around

00:38:33.440 before getting out of

00:38:34.600 your vehicle, and if

00:38:35.700 you are the victim of

00:38:37.460 a carjacking, give up

00:38:39.060 that car.

00:38:39.740 Your life is just not

00:38:41.080 worth it.

00:38:41.760 Equip your vehicle with

00:38:42.960 an anti-theft or GPS

00:38:44.240 tracking device and

00:38:45.800 allow yourself room and

00:38:47.100 traffic to move around

00:38:48.620 other cars.

00:38:49.660 Avoid getting boxed in,

00:38:50.940 if you will, and keep

00:38:52.180 your cell phone in your

00:38:53.560 pocket rather than

00:38:54.920 laying in your car.

00:38:56.340 For example, when you

00:38:58.520 go to a mall or a

00:38:59.500 shopping center, park in

00:39:01.140 a busy area.

00:39:02.400 Don't park behind a

00:39:03.980 large truck.

00:39:05.840 Park where you can be

00:39:06.620 seen.

00:39:07.620 What could you possibly

00:39:08.800 be getting out of a

00:39:09.720 city that would make

00:39:10.340 this worth it?

00:39:11.480 Where you have to

00:39:12.380 strategize like you're

00:39:13.700 in a war zone.

00:39:15.260 I can't get boxed in,

00:39:16.280 got to stay in my car.

00:39:19.020 What about city life

00:39:21.680 could make that worth

00:39:22.840 it?

00:39:23.020 This is a very real

00:39:25.340 concern you have to

00:39:26.080 have.

00:39:28.040 You have to have news

00:39:28.900 reports saying, hey,

00:39:29.700 if they come for it,

00:39:30.920 if they come for you,

00:39:32.080 just give up the car.

00:39:33.440 It's not worth it.

00:39:35.760 Get out of the city.

00:39:37.920 Protect yourself.

00:39:38.620 That's the big, you

00:39:39.100 know, here's my, here's

00:39:39.980 my tip for preventing

00:39:41.460 carjacking.

00:39:42.280 Here's my carjacking

00:39:43.600 prevention tip.

00:39:45.480 Get out of these kinds

00:39:46.440 of cities.

00:39:48.980 Especially any city run

00:39:50.400 by a Democrat, get

00:39:51.320 out.

00:39:51.700 And of course, almost

00:39:52.180 all of them are.

00:39:52.600 So get out of the city

00:39:53.460 and that's how you

00:39:54.080 prevent the carjacking.

00:39:55.160 Let's get now to the

00:39:55.920 comment section.

00:39:58.920 Hey, audience members,

00:40:08.580 this is Matt Walsh with

00:40:23.880 That's up to 50 cents

00:40:24.820 cash back.

00:40:25.560 Don't pay full price at

00:40:26.760 the pump anymore.

00:40:27.360 Get cash back using

00:40:28.600 GetUpside.

00:40:29.300 Just download the app for

00:40:30.220 free and use promo code

00:40:31.140 Walsh to get up to 50 cents

00:40:32.700 a gallon cash back on

00:40:33.560 your first tank.

00:40:34.480 Some people who drive a

00:40:35.340 lot are making as much as

00:40:36.300 $300 a month in cash back.

00:40:38.740 And guess what?

00:40:39.480 There's no catch.

00:40:40.260 It's very easy.

00:40:41.260 You might be looking for,

00:40:42.060 you might be thinking,

00:40:42.500 oh, there's got to be a

00:40:42.900 catch to something like

00:40:43.500 this.

00:40:43.700 They're not just going to

00:40:44.160 give you free money.

00:40:45.300 Yes, they will.

00:40:45.820 The cash back is added to

00:40:47.360 your account.

00:40:48.000 And it's really as

00:40:48.780 simple as that.

00:40:49.560 You can cash out anytime

00:40:50.700 to your bank account,

00:40:51.660 to PayPal.

00:40:52.780 You can even cash in for

00:40:54.660 an e-gift card to Amazon

00:40:56.060 or other brands.

00:40:58.080 Why pay all that money

00:41:00.340 at the pump?

00:41:01.720 And when you could be

00:41:02.740 getting some money every

00:41:03.600 time you go to the pump,

00:41:05.040 just download the free

00:41:05.840 GetUpside app and use

00:41:07.120 promo code Walsh to get up

00:41:08.480 to 50 cents a gallon cash

00:41:09.400 back on your first tank.

00:41:10.420 That's code Walsh.

00:41:11.340 George says,

00:41:12.720 Matt is a Monday day coach

00:41:15.560 about effects of COVID

00:41:16.940 policies.

00:41:18.100 Authorities make mistakes

00:41:19.120 and it's easy to condemn

00:41:20.400 them after the fact.

00:41:22.080 Monday coach,

00:41:22.760 you mean Monday morning

00:41:23.700 quarterback is what

00:41:24.200 you're going for?

00:41:26.700 About the effects of

00:41:27.680 COVID policies?

00:41:29.600 Yeah, one of the effects

00:41:30.600 like we talked about

00:41:31.060 yesterday, a 51% increase

00:41:32.680 in adolescent girls going 0.97

00:41:34.360 to emergency rooms after

00:41:35.340 suicide attempts.

00:41:36.500 In 2020, that was one

00:41:37.800 of the effects.

00:41:39.060 Am I just Monday morning

00:41:40.100 quarterbacking it?

00:41:40.920 You know, in retrospect,

00:41:42.120 after the fact,

00:41:43.080 hindsight is 20-20,

00:41:44.020 that kind of thing.

00:41:45.660 No, no, this is not a

00:41:47.280 Monday morning quarterback

00:41:47.960 situation, George,

00:41:48.780 because I had been,

00:41:49.940 I've been saying this

00:41:50.600 from the very beginning.

00:41:52.920 From the very beginning,

00:41:54.000 I've been saying,

00:41:54.980 you lock people in their

00:41:57.400 homes, you take away

00:41:58.560 their social life,

00:41:59.320 you take away all of that,

00:42:02.060 especially kids.

00:42:04.120 And you tell them,

00:42:05.100 we're going to migrate

00:42:05.860 all of that to the

00:42:06.640 internet.

00:42:07.500 And that will be your

00:42:08.340 entire life now.

00:42:10.920 I've been saying

00:42:11.420 from the very beginning

00:42:11.960 and not just me,

00:42:12.960 lots of us have been

00:42:13.760 saying that you are

00:42:16.240 going to see exactly

00:42:17.060 these effects.

00:42:19.640 So no, this is not

00:42:20.500 after the fact,

00:42:21.160 this is not hindsight,

00:42:21.840 it's 20-20. 0.65

00:42:24.000 Anyone with a brain

00:42:24.860 had 20-20 vision on this

00:42:26.160 from the beginning

00:42:26.820 because seen where it

00:42:27.660 was going.

00:42:29.280 And our leaders who

00:42:30.740 put these policies in

00:42:31.420 place, they knew also,

00:42:32.620 it's just they didn't

00:42:33.280 care is the point.

00:42:35.520 It was a trade-off.

00:42:36.860 It was always going to be

00:42:37.580 a trade-off.

00:42:38.700 That's not how they

00:42:39.400 sold it.

00:42:41.480 They sold it as sort of

00:42:42.480 a better safe than

00:42:43.360 sorry situation.

00:42:46.240 And how, you know,

00:42:47.860 staying home,

00:42:48.860 locking down,

00:42:49.440 shutting everything down,

00:42:50.380 at most it's just

00:42:51.540 an inconvenience.

00:42:53.020 Wearing masks at most

00:42:54.240 is just an inconvenience,

00:42:55.280 that's all it is.

00:42:56.540 A little bit of effort.

00:42:59.400 But that was always

00:43:00.340 clearly bogus.

00:43:01.700 There's a very real

00:43:03.480 trade-off happening here.

00:43:04.800 many trade-offs.

00:43:08.000 And one of them is

00:43:08.860 we are going to,

00:43:11.180 for the sake of

00:43:12.100 the physical safety

00:43:13.300 that these measures

00:43:15.500 supposedly afforded us,

00:43:17.140 supposedly,

00:43:18.960 we are going to

00:43:19.980 sacrifice the

00:43:21.000 psychological and

00:43:22.160 emotional well-being

00:43:23.080 of our kids.

00:43:24.760 That was the trade

00:43:25.720 that they intentionally

00:43:26.460 made.

00:43:27.600 And this is the result.

00:43:31.520 Guy Greens says,

00:43:33.220 Sorry, Matt,

00:43:33.860 but I like the

00:43:34.380 Hodge Twins children's

00:43:35.400 book better.

00:43:36.100 Walruses creep me out

00:43:37.260 with their weird eyes.

00:43:39.760 Well, what do you think

00:43:40.480 is going to happen

00:43:40.900 when you come to my

00:43:41.560 comments with this

00:43:42.960 kind of anti-walrusism?

00:43:44.760 Weird eyes?

00:43:45.620 They have beautiful

00:43:46.420 and innocent eyes.

00:43:48.740 And now I'm the bad guy

00:43:50.080 because I have to ban you. 0.99

00:43:51.740 Don't put me in that

00:43:52.520 position.

00:43:53.060 But you are banned.

00:43:57.560 Bad Mother says, 1.00

00:43:58.680 Matt Walsh making

00:43:59.400 small talk with people

00:44:00.480 in a jiffy lube

00:44:01.220 seems unlikely.

00:44:02.200 Well, that is true.

00:44:03.800 I mean, you know,

00:44:04.580 without phones,

00:44:05.880 if I'm sitting in a

00:44:06.920 waiting room or something,

00:44:09.060 if we didn't have phones,

00:44:10.540 yeah, I wouldn't be

00:44:11.400 making small talk

00:44:12.660 with people.

00:44:13.540 But even so,

00:44:15.440 and if I'm saying this,

00:44:16.680 then you know

00:44:16.920 it's gotten really bad.

00:44:18.660 But even if I wouldn't

00:44:20.160 make small talk

00:44:20.700 with people,

00:44:21.620 I think it's still best

00:44:22.880 to just be present

00:44:23.960 sometimes in the room

00:44:25.440 where you're sitting.

00:44:28.160 Even if you're not

00:44:28.840 saying anything to anybody.

00:44:29.720 to be present

00:44:31.740 in the room

00:44:32.540 and not on your phone

00:44:33.480 and aware

00:44:35.100 that I am physically

00:44:36.320 in this room

00:44:37.200 with these people

00:44:38.180 and we are having

00:44:39.920 a shared experience.

00:44:41.180 Might not be a very

00:44:42.040 profound experience,

00:44:43.120 but that's what it is.

00:44:46.820 We don't have

00:44:47.560 those kinds of,

00:44:48.700 there's no presence

00:44:50.580 anymore,

00:44:51.860 anywhere,

00:44:52.620 because everybody's

00:44:53.140 on their phone

00:44:53.560 and there are really

00:44:54.620 no shared experiences

00:44:55.500 anymore.

00:44:57.340 Matthew Kelly says,

00:44:58.560 after watching

00:44:59.280 your last episode,

00:45:00.440 particularly the cancellation

00:45:01.360 of those involved

00:45:03.040 in civil asset forfeiture,

00:45:04.580 I must say that

00:45:05.240 I feel personally attacked.

00:45:06.560 I am actually a prosecutor

00:45:07.500 that handles all

00:45:08.340 of the civil asset

00:45:08.980 forfeiture cases

00:45:09.820 from my office

00:45:10.540 when I determine

00:45:11.600 whether we'll be moving

00:45:12.460 to take in a vehicle,

00:45:13.500 money, or even a house.

00:45:14.660 I carefully review

00:45:15.720 the initial reports

00:45:16.440 to see whether

00:45:16.960 the seized property

00:45:17.720 was either used

00:45:18.520 in furtherance

00:45:19.060 of criminal activity

00:45:19.820 or were proceeds

00:45:21.680 from criminal activity.

00:45:22.500 The main goal

00:45:23.520 is not to enrich

00:45:24.220 the state,

00:45:24.720 but rather take

00:45:25.320 money-slash-property

00:45:26.220 gained through

00:45:26.660 illicit means

00:45:27.380 so that it does not

00:45:28.540 return to the defendant,

00:45:29.560 permitting them a profit

00:45:30.420 from their criminal activity.

00:45:31.780 If it later turns out

00:45:32.520 that the criminal portion

00:45:33.180 of the case falls apart

00:45:34.080 and thus a civil forfeiture

00:45:35.100 action cannot survive,

00:45:36.440 I make arrangements

00:45:37.080 to have the money-property-slash-property

00:45:38.640 returned to the claimant-slash-defendant.

00:45:40.640 All property must be

00:45:41.600 substantiated.

00:45:42.580 I understand a layman's

00:45:43.520 gripe about the concept

00:45:44.260 of civil asset forfeiture,

00:45:45.700 but please understand

00:45:46.420 that there are legitimate

00:45:47.180 and good reasons

00:45:48.020 for the process.

00:45:50.780 Yeah,

00:45:51.380 so,

00:45:52.500 what I'm taking

00:45:53.620 from this,

00:45:55.220 Matthew,

00:45:55.680 is that

00:45:56.020 what I take from this

00:45:58.240 is that you are

00:45:59.080 a responsible

00:45:59.740 and honest person.

00:46:02.360 And as a responsible

00:46:03.820 and honest person,

00:46:04.940 you handle this power

00:46:07.200 that you've been given,

00:46:08.180 civil asset forfeiture,

00:46:09.660 responsibly and honestly,

00:46:10.940 which is nice

00:46:12.140 and that's a credit to you.

00:46:13.840 But it's still a power

00:46:15.060 you shouldn't have

00:46:16.060 because many prosecutors

00:46:17.840 are not responsible

00:46:18.860 and honest.

00:46:19.340 and our system

00:46:21.180 cannot assume

00:46:22.120 that they will be.

00:46:24.800 And that's what all

00:46:25.620 of the protections

00:46:26.160 in the Constitution

00:46:26.920 for defendants

00:46:29.740 or those accused,

00:46:31.200 all of those protections,

00:46:33.120 that's why they're there.

00:46:34.940 Because we can't simply

00:46:36.160 assume

00:46:38.420 that law enforcement

00:46:41.000 and DAs

00:46:42.440 and prosecutors

00:46:42.900 and everything,

00:46:43.280 they're all going to be

00:46:43.800 like Matthew Kelly.

00:46:44.620 They're all going to be honest.

00:46:45.320 I mean,

00:46:48.440 if we could assume that,

00:46:49.700 then we wouldn't need

00:46:50.480 due process,

00:46:51.260 we wouldn't need

00:46:51.620 any of this stuff.

00:46:53.400 The fact remains

00:46:54.140 of civil asset forfeiture,

00:46:56.020 I don't know how you,

00:46:57.160 you might do it

00:46:58.300 in your office differently,

00:47:00.100 but the laws

00:47:01.660 as they're written,

00:47:02.780 and we talked about

00:47:03.920 one real life case

00:47:05.300 that just happened

00:47:05.960 down in Dallas,

00:47:07.420 the laws as they're written

00:47:08.400 mean that this property

00:47:09.720 can be confiscated

00:47:11.420 without even,

00:47:13.120 without a crime

00:47:14.800 being charged

00:47:15.680 or without the person

00:47:17.600 who is the victim here

00:47:19.100 even being accused

00:47:20.100 of a crime.

00:47:24.400 So this is not,

00:47:25.340 the way you're putting

00:47:25.940 it forward here,

00:47:26.580 it sounds like,

00:47:27.260 well, there's a,

00:47:27.920 there's an evidentiary process,

00:47:29.500 you have to be charged

00:47:30.140 with a crime,

00:47:30.680 there's this whole thing.

00:47:31.540 That's not what happened

00:47:32.260 in the Dallas,

00:47:33.620 there was a Love Field airport.

00:47:36.060 Somebody tried to,

00:47:36.920 to go through the airport,

00:47:39.040 flying domestically,

00:47:40.740 okay,

00:47:40.900 so they weren't coming across

00:47:41.840 the border or anything like that,

00:47:43.120 tried to,

00:47:43.920 tried to,

00:47:44.700 they just flew from,

00:47:46.420 I think it was Chicago

00:47:47.060 to Dallas,

00:47:48.120 and they had a bunch of cash

00:47:50.340 in their luggage,

00:47:50.940 which is not a crime,

00:47:52.620 and the police took it

00:47:54.480 right there on the spot.

00:47:56.180 Didn't charge the other,

00:47:57.380 the person with a crime.

00:47:59.500 Not formally accusing them

00:48:00.920 of doing anything,

00:48:02.120 but they take the property anyway,

00:48:04.400 which I think is clearly

00:48:06.300 not acceptable,

00:48:08.840 and it is,

00:48:10.000 by definition,

00:48:10.940 a violation of the due process clause

00:48:14.380 of the Constitution.

00:48:15.340 We know that the Biden's,

00:48:16.520 the Biden administration's

00:48:17.660 unconstitutional vaccine mandate

00:48:18.980 is not doing well

00:48:20.140 in court so far.

00:48:21.360 Not only has the OSHA mandate

00:48:22.620 received a nationwide stay,

00:48:24.520 the U.S. Senate

00:48:25.120 has just voted 48 to 52

00:48:26.700 against Biden's federal mandate.

00:48:29.040 However,

00:48:29.760 the issue now goes

00:48:31.020 to the Democrat-led House,

00:48:32.540 who will likely push it through.

00:48:34.220 This is why we can't leave

00:48:35.440 such a contentious issue

00:48:36.340 up to those

00:48:36.940 in the highest echelons

00:48:38.080 of the government

00:48:38.540 and have taken matters

00:48:39.700 into our own hands.

00:48:41.300 The Daily Wire

00:48:41.740 was the first in the nation

00:48:42.660 to file suit

00:48:43.220 against Biden's

00:48:43.900 authoritarian mandate,

00:48:44.980 and there will be

00:48:45.620 many more to come.

00:48:46.720 The onus is on us,

00:48:47.760 the people,

00:48:48.280 to continue to fight back

00:48:49.380 when they try to force

00:48:50.480 our compliance,

00:48:51.620 because what we put

00:48:52.440 in our bodies

00:48:52.940 is not up to the government,

00:48:54.060 and neither is how

00:48:54.760 we spend our holidays,

00:48:56.100 which Biden's winter COVID plan

00:48:58.000 hinted at doing.

00:48:59.020 The plan includes

00:48:59.620 the extension

00:49:00.020 of the federal mask mandate

00:49:00.980 for public transportation,

00:49:02.220 as well as a consideration,

00:49:03.220 anyway,

00:49:03.420 that they might require

00:49:04.480 vaccines to fly

00:49:06.400 even domestically.

00:49:08.100 So that's what's at stake here.

00:49:09.280 Our collective voices

00:49:09.980 have never been

00:49:10.700 more important

00:49:11.560 in the fight for our freedom,

00:49:13.080 and now's your chance

00:49:13.860 to add your voice

00:49:14.800 to the fight.

00:49:15.340 If you haven't signed

00:49:16.020 our petition

00:49:16.360 against Biden's vaccine mandate,

00:49:18.200 I need you to head on over

00:49:18.960 to dailywire.com

00:49:20.060 slash do not comply

00:49:21.040 to add your name.

00:49:22.240 We need to send 0.99

00:49:23.080 an overwhelming message

00:49:24.180 to this administration

00:49:24.920 that the American people

00:49:25.920 will not comply.

00:49:27.180 We have a goal

00:49:27.760 of reaching

00:49:28.160 one million signatures,

00:49:29.260 which would provide

00:49:30.200 a major boost

00:49:30.820 to our legal challenge.

00:49:31.760 We have nearly

00:49:32.120 800,000 signatures so far.

00:49:33.940 We want to get to a million,

00:49:34.800 so to add your voice to this

00:49:35.980 and get us to a million signatures,

00:49:37.560 and that's when they really

00:49:38.140 have to take note of it,

00:49:39.600 go to dailywire.com

00:49:40.920 slash do not comply.

00:49:43.900 And this is my opportunity

00:49:45.520 to tell you about,

00:49:46.300 I'll have more to say about this

00:49:47.220 in just a second

00:49:47.660 as we get into

00:49:47.980 daily cancellation,

00:49:48.700 but Johnny the Walrus,

00:49:50.200 my best-selling LGBT children's book

00:49:53.560 is currently still on sale.

00:49:56.140 And you can go to

00:49:57.200 johnnythewalrus.com

00:49:58.220 to buy it.

00:49:59.300 This is,

00:49:59.960 if you want to know

00:50:00.580 the sensation

00:50:01.160 that everyone's been talking about,

00:50:02.860 what all the controversy is about,

00:50:04.020 well, you could buy it

00:50:04.520 for yourself.

00:50:05.540 We are,

00:50:05.980 we sold out of our first,

00:50:07.220 we sold out in a day,

00:50:08.060 as you've heard,

00:50:08.960 but we are taking pre-orders

00:50:10.180 for the next batch

00:50:11.140 when they come.

00:50:11.760 So go to johnnythewalrus.com.

00:50:13.700 Now let's get to

00:50:14.260 our daily cancellation.

00:50:15.160 Now you all know

00:50:20.560 that normally

00:50:21.020 I like to have

00:50:22.360 fun on this show.

00:50:24.440 As much fun

00:50:25.040 as I am

00:50:25.480 constitutionally capable

00:50:26.780 of having anyway,

00:50:27.620 which isn't much,

00:50:28.280 so never mind.

00:50:28.920 The point is that today

00:50:29.760 I have to get very serious

00:50:31.040 and

00:50:31.680 even a little emotional,

00:50:34.480 perhaps.

00:50:35.820 You probably remember

00:50:36.720 that I began this week

00:50:37.780 in a state of elation,

00:50:39.300 deeply proud of the fact

00:50:40.280 that my children's book,

00:50:41.340 Johnny the Walrus,

00:50:42.180 about a boy who identifies

00:50:43.200 as a walrus,

00:50:44.100 had not only become

00:50:44.920 one of the top five

00:50:45.860 best-selling books on Amazon,

00:50:47.300 but it also made it

00:50:48.140 onto Amazon's LGBT book list,

00:50:50.340 where it was number one.

00:50:52.240 My walrus novel

00:50:53.320 had only been on sale

00:50:54.760 for a few days,

00:50:55.320 but already it was

00:50:56.000 the most popular piece

00:50:56.960 of LGBT literature

00:50:58.280 in the world,

00:50:59.680 topping the list

00:51:00.380 and beating out

00:51:01.060 such LGBT titles

00:51:02.080 as Filthy Bromance

00:51:03.760 and Holigay

00:51:05.200 and Daddy's Little Christmas.

00:51:07.100 These are all real titles,

00:51:07.900 by the way.

00:51:08.580 It even bested the classic

00:51:10.300 Sexted by Santa,

00:51:12.120 Thrust into Love,

00:51:13.080 Book Four.

00:51:14.920 They probably should have

00:51:15.640 stuck with

00:51:16.020 Sexted by Santa trilogy.

00:51:17.580 You know,

00:51:17.780 the narrative really

00:51:18.480 lost its momentum

00:51:19.180 in the fourth installment,

00:51:20.460 some critics

00:51:20.960 are reporting anyway.

00:51:23.080 Kind of a naked cash grab

00:51:25.140 in more ways than one,

00:51:26.140 you might say.

00:51:26.840 But in any case,

00:51:27.800 I had suddenly become

00:51:29.100 the most prominent,

00:51:30.160 influential,

00:51:31.060 celebrated,

00:51:31.740 and revered LGBT voice

00:51:33.240 in the world

00:51:33.960 and possibly in all of history.

00:51:36.240 I didn't expect

00:51:37.140 to be put in that position,

00:51:38.220 but I was ready

00:51:38.720 to fulfill the responsibilities

00:51:39.980 of that office faithfully.

00:51:43.140 I had big plans

00:51:44.380 for the LGBT movement,

00:51:45.520 of which I was now

00:51:46.540 the sole and unquestioned leader.

00:51:48.820 Yes, it's true

00:51:49.440 that I am heterosexual,

00:51:51.120 but there's no reason

00:51:52.100 why that should exclude me

00:51:54.940 from holding this title.

00:51:56.640 I am a straight LGBT author

00:51:58.660 and leader

00:51:59.860 and walrus awareness advocate.

00:52:03.020 These are all parts

00:52:04.140 of my complex

00:52:05.620 and intersectional identity.

00:52:07.200 I am an enigma

00:52:08.160 even to myself.

00:52:10.280 My identity

00:52:10.820 is a vast mosaic

00:52:12.060 of different elements

00:52:13.400 and pieces

00:52:13.920 all adding up

00:52:14.680 to one beautiful

00:52:15.480 yet complicated whole

00:52:16.520 and from these mysterious depths

00:52:18.500 sprang forth

00:52:19.500 the work of tortured genius

00:52:20.960 known as Johnny the Walrus.

00:52:23.580 Does all this sound

00:52:24.640 extremely narcissistic

00:52:25.700 and nonsensical?

00:52:26.340 Perhaps.

00:52:27.600 But that only again

00:52:28.320 proves why I deserve

00:52:29.420 to be the voice

00:52:30.120 of the LGBT movement,

00:52:31.620 which is what I am.

00:52:34.240 Yet in an act of mutiny

00:52:35.860 and treason,

00:52:37.960 my fellow LGBT activists

00:52:39.420 turned on me.

00:52:40.940 They complained bitterly

00:52:42.300 about the fact

00:52:42.840 that my book

00:52:43.440 was on the LGBT charts.

00:52:45.520 They were envious.

00:52:47.300 Indeed,

00:52:47.660 they didn't want it

00:52:48.340 on any charts at all.

00:52:49.420 I reported yesterday

00:52:50.080 that Media Matters

00:52:50.820 had published a hit piece

00:52:51.940 accusing me

00:52:52.640 of transphobia

00:52:53.960 and other assorted

00:52:54.680 thought crimes. 0.80

00:52:55.620 Glad the Gay and Lesbian

00:52:56.680 Alliance Against Defamation

00:52:57.580 aligned itself

00:52:58.900 with my defamers

00:53:00.100 calling on Amazon

00:53:01.500 to remove the book

00:53:02.260 from the LGBT category.

00:53:04.140 Other activists chimed in,

00:53:05.420 some of them tagging

00:53:06.240 Jeff Bezos

00:53:06.940 calling on Amazon's founder

00:53:08.820 to address the matter

00:53:09.720 personally.

00:53:11.280 In the greatest act

00:53:12.500 of betrayal,

00:53:14.160 my favorite website,

00:53:16.080 the gay news site

00:53:16.840 Pink News,

00:53:17.780 published an article

00:53:18.400 with this title.

00:53:19.960 Right-wing pundit

00:53:20.820 gloats as Amazon

00:53:22.220 lists hateful,

00:53:23.100 transphobic book 0.51

00:53:23.920 as LGBT plus bestseller.

00:53:25.600 And the article explains,

00:53:27.980 Amazon has listed

00:53:28.720 a hateful,

00:53:29.300 transphobic children's book

00:53:30.480 by The Daily Wire's

00:53:31.200 Matt Walsh

00:53:31.640 as its number one

00:53:32.400 best-selling LGBT book.

00:53:34.440 Walsh,

00:53:34.740 a right-wing writer

00:53:35.560 who has compared

00:53:36.160 gender-affirming healthcare

00:53:37.140 to experimentation,

00:53:38.540 molestation,

00:53:39.220 abuse, 0.93

00:53:39.580 and rape, 1.00

00:53:40.540 recently announced

00:53:41.200 that he has written

00:53:41.640 a horrific,

00:53:42.600 horrific anti-trans

00:53:43.940 children's book,

00:53:44.980 Johnny the Walrus,

00:53:46.040 set to be published

00:53:46.640 in March.

00:53:47.480 The book began

00:53:48.340 taking pre-orders

00:53:49.020 this month on Amazon,

00:53:49.940 which has inexplicably

00:53:51.880 classed it as an LGBT book.

00:53:54.260 In a review,

00:53:55.360 the right-wing publication

00:53:56.400 The Blaze said,

00:53:57.520 Matt Walsh's work

00:53:58.200 is an effort

00:53:58.620 to push back

00:53:59.280 against radical

00:54:00.360 gender ideology,

00:54:01.360 which defies

00:54:02.100 biological reality.

00:54:03.800 But if anything

00:54:04.280 says ideology,

00:54:05.220 surely it's a book

00:54:05.920 that tells children

00:54:06.640 that expressing their gender

00:54:07.740 means being forced

00:54:08.580 to eat worms

00:54:09.260 and having their feet

00:54:10.400 cut off.

00:54:11.780 Johnny the Walrus,

00:54:12.460 supposedly aimed

00:54:13.100 at three- to five-year-olds,

00:54:14.300 tells the story

00:54:14.780 of a little boy

00:54:15.200 who pretends to be a walrus.

00:54:16.140 Johnny's mother

00:54:16.600 is pressured by the internet

00:54:17.640 to tell her child

00:54:18.520 that he is a walrus,

00:54:19.500 and protesters

00:54:20.080 are shown with signs

00:54:21.060 claiming human walruses

00:54:22.340 are real walruses.

00:54:23.220 The most twisted attack 0.99

00:54:24.820 on trans kids 0.93

00:54:25.520 is when Johnny's mom

00:54:26.840 takes him to the doctor

00:54:28.120 who tells him

00:54:29.000 he must only eat worms,

00:54:30.260 constantly wear

00:54:30.820 itchy gray makeup,

00:54:31.880 and have his feet

00:54:32.680 cut into fins.

00:54:35.380 Now, for the record,

00:54:36.620 if that part of the story

00:54:38.340 is an attack on anyone,

00:54:39.380 it would be an attack

00:54:40.020 on people who mutilate kids,

00:54:41.740 not on the kids themselves,

00:54:42.860 obviously.

00:54:43.620 This is like

00:54:44.020 if you're punching 0.82

00:54:44.480 somebody in the face

00:54:45.200 and I tell you to stop

00:54:46.240 and you accuse me

00:54:47.300 of attacking the person

00:54:48.160 that you were punching.

00:54:49.500 So you're the attacker

00:54:50.400 in that situation.

00:54:51.040 I am the intervener

00:54:52.000 in the attack.

00:54:52.960 That's how that

00:54:53.600 relationship works.

00:54:55.100 But anyway,

00:54:55.620 the greater point here

00:54:56.440 is that the very people

00:54:58.400 who ought to have been

00:54:59.200 coming to my aid

00:55:00.240 and defending me

00:55:01.420 as a straight gay icon

00:55:02.880 were instead focused

00:55:04.600 on marginalizing me.

00:55:06.880 And their campaign

00:55:07.900 of hate and bigotry,

00:55:09.100 I am sad to report,

00:55:10.420 has worked.

00:55:11.720 This morning,

00:55:12.460 I awoke to discover

00:55:13.300 that Johnny the Walrus,

00:55:15.220 the most courageous piece

00:55:16.400 of LGBT literature

00:55:17.600 ever written,

00:55:18.500 has been removed

00:55:19.360 from Amazon's

00:55:20.140 LGBT bestseller list.

00:55:21.700 They took it off.

00:55:22.880 No explanation.

00:55:24.360 They didn't ask me.

00:55:25.820 I didn't consent.

00:55:27.580 And it's not just

00:55:28.220 that there had been

00:55:29.040 a surge in sexted

00:55:30.040 by Santa sales

00:55:30.880 supplanting my book

00:55:31.780 as number one.

00:55:32.460 If that were the case,

00:55:33.220 I would tip my cap

00:55:34.060 to the sexting Santa

00:55:35.060 and accept defeat.

00:55:36.080 But that's not what happened.

00:55:37.560 I was removed

00:55:38.400 from the category entirely.

00:55:40.360 I have been literally erased.

00:55:43.720 I've been targeted

00:55:44.540 for violence,

00:55:45.280 not literal violence,

00:55:46.200 but literary violence.

00:55:47.340 Jussie Smollett

00:55:49.560 was not the victim

00:55:50.160 of an anti-gay hate crime,

00:55:51.440 but I am.

00:55:53.180 I'm also a better

00:55:54.000 fiction writer, incidentally.

00:55:56.160 This is an attack

00:55:57.060 not just on me,

00:55:59.440 but on the whole

00:56:00.680 LGBT community

00:56:01.520 and on the Walrus community.

00:56:04.680 I feel,

00:56:05.460 I have to say,

00:56:06.020 deeply afraid now.

00:56:09.340 Unsafe.

00:56:11.100 I mean,

00:56:11.580 if I cannot be safe

00:56:12.760 and secure

00:56:13.260 on the Amazon LGBT list,

00:56:14.960 then where can I turn?

00:56:17.740 Where am I safe?

00:56:19.800 I have represented

00:56:21.020 and defended

00:56:21.840 the LGBT community

00:56:23.140 faithfully

00:56:23.820 for these many hours.

00:56:26.740 Who will defend me now?

00:56:29.120 No one.

00:56:29.960 I feel alone

00:56:30.980 and cold

00:56:32.180 and abandoned.

00:56:36.140 But I have cried

00:56:37.100 all the tears

00:56:37.680 I can cry over this.

00:56:39.520 I'm sure there'll be

00:56:40.040 many tears in the future.

00:56:41.760 I have been

00:56:42.600 dehumanized,

00:56:43.460 delegitimized,

00:56:44.520 decertified,

00:56:45.440 vaporized,

00:56:46.240 but I'm not

00:56:47.660 going to back down.

00:56:49.100 I'm still going to

00:56:50.020 stand up

00:56:50.560 and be loud

00:56:51.260 and proud

00:56:51.720 and speak my truth.

00:56:53.720 A truth which is

00:56:54.680 grounded in my

00:56:55.400 lived experience

00:56:56.260 as an LGBT author

00:56:57.400 and Walrus advocate.

00:56:59.400 Amazon can't stop me. 1.00

00:57:01.040 Nobody can.

00:57:02.060 I'm not going to be

00:57:02.780 canceled.

00:57:03.140 Instead,

00:57:03.540 to GLAAD

00:57:04.020 and Pink News

00:57:05.200 and Amazon

00:57:05.780 and Media Matters

00:57:06.540 with all the strength

00:57:07.500 I can muster

00:57:08.060 as a best-selling

00:57:08.620 LGBT author,

00:57:09.200 a title I will

00:57:10.300 retain forever,

00:57:11.120 by the way,

00:57:11.980 I say that you all

00:57:13.360 are canceled.

00:57:15.780 Shame on you.

00:57:17.440 Shame on you.

00:57:21.080 I told you we'd get

00:57:21.840 a little bit emotional

00:57:22.480 to close out

00:57:23.760 of Friday,

00:57:24.680 but I had to

00:57:26.020 be vulnerable with you

00:57:27.280 and I hope

00:57:28.140 that's okay.

00:57:29.720 We'll leave it there
