The Matt Walsh Show - Ep. 970 - Fox News Celebrates Pride Month By Pushing Extreme Trans Propaganda

00:00:00.000 Today on the Matt Walsh Show, Fox News airs far-left extreme trans propaganda.

00:00:04.760 What is going on over at Fox, and how should we respond?

00:00:07.320 We'll talk about it.

00:00:07.920 Also, Democrats and Republicans in the Senate agree on their new gun control plan,

00:00:11.380 which includes red flag laws.

00:00:13.040 What could possibly go wrong with red flag laws? 0.96

00:00:15.100 I'll explain.

00:00:15.660 Plus, Justin Trudeau announces that Canadians no longer have a right to self-protection.

00:00:20.760 His words exactly.

00:00:21.660 In our Daily Cancellation, Rolling Stone publishes a hit piece on my film, What is a Woman?

00:00:25.760 But did the writer of the piece actually watch the movie?

00:00:28.460 The answer will shock you.

00:00:29.520 No, it won't, but we'll talk about it.

00:00:30.880 All that and more today on the Matt Walsh Show.

00:00:40.640 You know, you might be thinking there's no relief or help coming at the pump for us,

00:00:45.400 and that's certainly the case, you know, if you're asking, waiting for Joe Biden to help you out.

00:00:49.720 But there is an incredible app that can give you some relief.

00:00:52.860 It's called Upside.

00:00:54.340 My listeners are earning cash back for every gallon of gas every time they fill up.

00:00:57.860 Just download the free Upside app in the App Store or Google Play right now.

00:01:00.900 Use promo code Walsh for 25 cents per gallon or more on your first fill up cash back.

00:01:05.120 Don't pay full price to pump anymore.

00:01:06.660 Get cash back using Upside.

00:01:08.180 Just download the app for free and use promo code Walsh for 25 cents per gallon or more on your first tank.

00:01:13.680 And it's not just for gas, by the way.

00:01:15.240 You can earn cash back at grocery stores, restaurants, takeout, many different areas.

00:01:19.760 You can cash out anytime to your bank account or an e-gift card for select retailers and brands.

00:01:24.080 Just download the app for free.

00:01:25.720 It's the Upside app.

00:01:26.560 Use promo code Walsh to get 25 cents per gallon or more cash back on your first tank.

00:01:30.700 And this, again, you've got the pump.

00:01:34.400 You're spending all this money on gas.

00:01:36.220 And you're waiting for the prices to go back down.

00:01:38.520 That's probably not going to happen anytime soon, especially as we get into the summer.

00:01:41.220 You can earn cash back with the Upside app.

00:01:43.880 Just use promo code Walsh now. 0.71

00:01:45.600 That's code Walsh.

00:01:47.540 Cities all across the country held their pride marches this weekend.

00:01:50.960 Pride marches are, of course, events made for and by people who just want to be left alone

00:01:56.100 and who simply want to be able to love each other and who really, truly only want privacy

00:02:01.520 and whose sex lives are just none of our business.

00:02:05.560 And their way of communicating those feelings to us is to prance down the street in bondage 0.97

00:02:09.860 gear and assless chaps and twerk in front of crowds of strangers, including children. 0.98

00:02:15.300 You know, that's their way of communicating. 0.99

00:02:16.740 Their sex lives are so private and so completely none of our business that they throw parades

00:02:22.040 nationwide to advertise and celebrate their sex lives.

00:02:24.880 This is obviously what anyone would do when they want something to be private.

00:02:29.440 It's why, you know, I've published my email password on a Times Square billboard because

00:02:34.820 I don't want anyone to see it.

00:02:36.200 And so that's what you do when you want something to be private.

00:02:38.300 You just show everybody.

00:02:40.440 Seems like the best strategy.

00:02:41.720 And that's why a half-naked guy in drag might shout, you know, mind your own business as 0.97

00:02:48.860 he dry humps the pavement in the middle of the street at two o'clock in the afternoon.

00:02:52.280 And we're expected to ignore the contradiction.

00:02:55.720 We're also expected to ignore all the many ways in which children are directly and intentionally

00:03:00.160 involved in this sort of thing.

00:03:02.560 There were many videos circulating on social media this weekend of kids, very young kids,

00:03:06.680 toddlers in some cases, standing along these parade routes with their abusive parents.

00:03:11.660 And the kids always look simultaneously confused, bored, and traumatized by what they're witnessing.

00:03:17.580 At a pride parade in California, two little girls could be seen watching with befuddled

00:03:22.580 expressions as a morbidly obese drag queen rolled by on a rainbow pride float while shouting 0.79

00:03:30.140 about lube into a megaphone.

00:03:32.860 Watch.

00:03:33.220 Bandanas and lube, I think Ursula said there up on the float.

00:03:50.520 It could be worse. 0.99

00:03:51.540 I mean, they could have been forced to witness a group of men in bondage gear with their asses 1.00

00:03:56.340 exposed, whipping each other as they walked down the street. 0.99

00:03:59.320 That's the hideous sight that one toddler was subjected to.

00:04:03.020 Here it is.

00:04:14.320 And then you can see the kids there.

00:04:17.620 There's that little kid.

00:04:18.340 The kid is what?

00:04:19.180 Looks like he's two, three years old.

00:04:21.260 And look at his mom.

00:04:22.140 His mom is there.

00:04:22.820 She's so proud.

00:04:24.380 She's taking a picture.

00:04:25.220 She wants to get her toddler and the guys in bondage gear in the same picture together.

00:04:29.960 She's trying to get the right angle. 0.99

00:04:32.160 Now, let me correct myself.

00:04:33.440 These two videos were taken at the same pride parade, I believe.

00:04:36.180 So the little girls who saw the fat drag queen shouting about lube also probably had to see 0.98

00:04:40.760 the bondage clad groomers acting out their sexual fetishes in front of the public. 0.97

00:04:46.700 As I said, there are many videos like this.

00:04:48.380 I can't play most of them on this show, especially the footage that made the rounds of a topless 1.00

00:04:53.000 trans person in a thong bending over and twerking in front of a crowd that once again included 0.93

00:04:58.360 small children.

00:04:59.620 I'll just leave that up to your imagination, though you probably would prefer not to imagine

00:05:03.360 it.

00:05:04.000 Now, leftists, as we know, are determined to induct children into the LGBT cult as early 1.00

00:05:09.100 as possible and by any means at their disposal.

00:05:12.640 That's why we must be totally determined and dedicated to protecting children from this

00:05:18.560 abuse.

00:05:18.920 And that's also all the more reason why it was so dispiriting and really, frankly, tragic

00:05:25.260 on Friday, a day before the Sodom and Gomorrah festivities kicked off, to see Fox News jump

00:05:31.820 on the LGBT grooming bandwagon. 0.91

00:05:33.880 Actually, Fox didn't just join the bandwagon.

00:05:36.800 They skipped all the way to the front of it.

00:05:38.480 They ran out in front of the bandwagon so they could be leading it.

00:05:42.360 During their America's Newsroom broadcast, Fox ran a package by reporter Brian Yanis promoting

00:05:49.980 and celebrating the transing of children.

00:05:52.780 They were not, this was not a report reporting on this controversy, but no, celebrating it,

00:05:58.880 promoting it actively.

00:06:00.420 The propaganda was so radical, so far to the left, that I would have honestly been surprised

00:06:06.840 to see it on CNN or even MSNBC.

00:06:11.300 But even those outlets have not quite gone as far to the left on the trans issue as Fox

00:06:16.900 apparently has, at least with this report.

00:06:19.420 That's how bad it is.

00:06:21.860 It's certainly bad enough that I have to call them out.

00:06:24.160 I appear on Fox News often.

00:06:25.680 I've benefited from the platform, from the visibility that they've given me.

00:06:29.920 It's quite possible that by attacking them publicly, I've now ruined that relationship.

00:06:33.920 So be it in that case.

00:06:36.100 They really left us no choice.

00:06:38.340 The segment was that bad.

00:06:40.280 But don't take my word for it.

00:06:41.700 Let's go through this and kind of watch it together, just so we can see how bad this really is.

00:06:46.480 Here it is.

00:06:47.800 Walking down the street, you wouldn't think anything different.

00:06:52.200 14-year-old Rylan Whittington is a typical Southern California teenager.

00:06:56.900 And the Whittingtons, along with mom Hillary, dad Jeff, and sister Brinley, are a typical family.

00:07:04.660 The only difference, though, in Rylan's eyes, is what this family can mean to the tens of thousands of kids under 18 who identify as transgender.

00:07:14.460 We put our story out there so people could see that there's another family out there that is going through what we're going through,

00:07:23.180 or there's another family who's proud of who they are.

00:07:25.960 But before Rylan could even speak, he managed to tell his parents that he is a boy.

00:07:31.660 I could just see it.

00:07:32.400 It wasn't him trying to be a brat.

00:07:35.060 It was, like, painful.

00:07:36.300 It was truly painful for him to have to wear feminine clothing and for us constantly telling him that you're a girl.

00:07:43.240 And unlike some trans kids, when Rylan came out at age five a few years later, he had the full support of his parents. 0.67

00:07:50.360 Before the girl could speak, she was communicating that she's a boy.

00:07:57.220 Before she could speak, Fox wants us to believe that babies can choose their own gender.

00:08:04.320 Children so young that they don't yet have the ability to communicate in words can still, according to Fox,

00:08:11.060 consent to begin a gender transition.

00:08:14.420 And on what basis?

00:08:15.920 Where is the evidence for this wild assertion?

00:08:20.360 How do we know that babies have a concept of, quote unquote, gender identity?

00:08:25.480 Well, because here's why.

00:08:27.020 Because this baby didn't want to wear dresses. 1.00

00:08:31.320 That's it.

00:08:31.840 That's the whole story.

00:08:33.200 I mean, that's the whole story.

00:08:34.760 Didn't want to wear dresses.

00:08:35.300 By this logic, of course, almost every baby girl is really a boy. 0.68

00:08:40.860 There are no girls left in the world, it turns out. 0.99

00:08:43.360 Because almost every young girl in the world, and that has ever existed in the world,

00:08:47.880 has gone through at least a phase where they didn't want to wear the clothes their parents put them in.

00:08:53.940 Every boy has also gone through this phase.

00:08:56.700 So maybe every boy is really a girl, and every girl is really a boy.

00:09:00.220 We'll just trade places.

00:09:01.900 We'll make it simple.

00:09:02.480 There are no girls left in the world except boys. 1.00

00:09:06.860 The only girls left in the world are boys, and the only boys left are girls. 0.98

00:09:11.220 This is the utter, irredeemable madness that flows from the kind of demented, half-baked, incomprehensible pseudo-logic you just heard from Fox.

00:09:23.180 Never mind the fact that, once again, the trans activists are rigidly enforcing gender roles, 0.78

00:09:29.480 while claiming that they want to break down gender roles, they are rigidly enforcing them.

00:09:34.400 The idea that the girl just might be a girl who doesn't like, quote-unquote, girly things,

00:09:40.220 that never even occurs to these parents, or to any trans activist.

00:09:44.360 Well, she's two years old, she doesn't want to wear a dress. 1.00

00:09:46.920 Maybe she just doesn't like the dresses. 0.89

00:09:48.740 Not to mention the fact that the one dress that we saw there was, like, hideously ugly.

00:09:53.700 So we can hardly blame her for not wanting to wear that one.

00:09:57.620 I mean, that could be it.

00:09:58.900 If your two-year-old daughter doesn't want to wear the dress, it could just be, like, she just is two, doesn't want to wear a dress right now.

00:10:04.980 Or she could really be a boy.

00:10:06.420 Oh, yeah, that must be it.

00:10:08.240 She's a boy.

00:10:11.080 So, according to the trans activists, and to the left, and now to Fox News,

00:10:16.540 girls must like girly things, and if they don't, then they're boys. 1.00

00:10:23.640 So, good news, ladies.

00:10:25.040 You can be anything you want to be.

00:10:26.760 You have self-determination.

00:10:28.820 Nobody can tell you what to do.

00:10:30.100 You are your own person.

00:10:31.360 Be yourself.

00:10:31.980 Unless you don't like the color pink, or if you prefer not to wear dresses,

00:10:36.880 and then you can't even be a girl anymore.

00:10:38.520 You're now a boy. 0.99

00:10:40.520 Here's some injections to sterilize you and permanently alter your voice. 1.00

00:10:43.880 Oh, we'll also have to remove your breasts. 1.00

00:10:45.640 You're not going to be needing those ever in your whole life. 0.96

00:10:47.540 We've decided.

00:10:48.640 Because you don't like wearing dresses. 0.99

00:10:50.660 You don't like wearing dresses, so we're going to chop your breasts off, 1.00

00:10:52.660 and you'll never have that bodily function ever again. 1.00

00:10:57.000 This is the deranged, dangerous insanity

00:11:00.020 that Fox News is selling.

00:11:04.120 And it gets worse.

00:11:06.920 Initially, there was some pushback from us in trying to understand this.

00:11:09.860 We were confused, like most people are.

00:11:12.500 We thought that gender and sexuality were the same thing.

00:11:16.080 It took us a while to figure out that those two things are different,

00:11:18.840 and that children actually do recognize their gender identity very young.

00:11:23.660 Some of them, not all.

00:11:24.720 But they listened to Rylan and to Hillary's conservative faith.

00:11:28.520 For me, it's just a deep spiritual belief that you believe in God,

00:11:32.980 and he created us the way he wanted us.

00:11:35.960 Well, then, yes, he created Rylan just the way he is.

00:11:38.540 And they listened to families.

00:11:40.520 They met in support groups.

00:11:41.880 There was a father who was sitting across the table.

00:11:44.140 He says, you have no idea how lucky you are to be here,

00:11:46.180 which kind of took me back.

00:11:47.400 I didn't at that point consider myself lucky to be there.

00:11:49.740 And he said, you know, our child had displayed this gender dysphoria

00:11:54.380 or this gender misalignment at the same age that Rylan has,

00:11:58.480 and we didn't listen, and we pushed back.

00:12:02.540 That pushback led that child to turn to self-harm as a teenager,

00:12:06.920 which 60% of trans and non-binary kids engage in,

00:12:11.400 according to the Trevor Project.

00:12:13.100 More than 50% consider suicide.

00:12:16.180 That, for me, was the turning point.

00:12:17.620 I didn't want to see Rylan to go through that.

00:12:19.680 I'd rather have a living son than a dead daughter.

00:12:23.440 Like I told you, this is actually worse, more radical, more extreme

00:12:28.480 than anything we've heard on MSNBC at this point,

00:12:32.520 up to this point, on this subject.

00:12:35.620 They're packing all of the most extreme and nonsensical trans agenda talking points 1.00

00:12:40.300 into one piece of propaganda.

00:12:42.340 We've already heard that a girl chose her own gender when she was a toddler 0.95

00:12:45.280 and then came out when she was five.

00:12:48.500 That's an actual sentence that was uttered on the air on Fox News.

00:12:54.620 When she came out when she was five,

00:12:57.980 she's been on the earth for only five years.

00:13:01.260 She has almost no understanding of the world or herself or human biology.

00:13:05.440 She's not going to be a legal adult for another 13 years.

00:13:09.920 Her brain won't be fully developed for another 20 years. 0.57

00:13:13.380 And yet, she was able to make this decision for herself.

00:13:17.480 And then we're told that the parents' conservative faith is what drove them.

00:13:21.900 Mommy Munchausen says that God doesn't make mistakes.

00:13:25.100 And she's right about that.

00:13:26.780 Yet, her conviction that God doesn't make mistakes

00:13:29.160 is what led her to the conclusion that her daughter was born in the wrong body

00:13:32.820 and was really supposed to be her son.

00:13:35.860 And the only way to fix it is with drugs and surgery.

00:13:40.340 On the contrary, it turns out that according to her,

00:13:42.740 God does make mistakes.

00:13:44.580 He makes pretty big ones, it turns out.

00:13:48.040 There are some major screw-ups on the heavenly assembly line.

00:13:51.620 And somehow, boy souls are put into girl bodies and vice versa. 0.65

00:13:56.180 And this seems to be happening a lot more recently, too, somehow.

00:13:58.900 Must be a new management up at the factory.

00:14:02.840 Probably should review their training protocols.

00:14:04.560 I don't know.

00:14:05.700 No, by Mommy Munchausen's telling, 1.00

00:14:08.380 God is a bumbling fool, an idiot, 1.00

00:14:12.100 whose work needs to be checked and corrected 1.00

00:14:14.360 with the help of the pharmaceutical industry.

00:14:16.280 That's what she thinks.

00:14:18.820 Next, we're given a few alleged facts and figures

00:14:21.420 from the far-left propagandist organization,

00:14:23.220 The Trevor Project,

00:14:23.980 which claims that alleged trans kids 0.99

00:14:26.580 will kill themselves 0.91

00:14:27.760 if they're not allowed to transition their gender. 0.97

00:14:31.240 I'd rather have a living son than a dead daughter,

00:14:33.780 Mommy Munchausen tells us.

00:14:35.680 This is the macabre bumper sticker slogan

00:14:38.020 that has served to justify the butchery

00:14:39.800 of thousands of children.

00:14:42.460 There's no data to back it up.

00:14:44.740 Nothing.

00:14:45.700 In fact, as we discussed last week,

00:14:47.500 the data shows that gender transition

00:14:49.280 does not decrease the suicide rate.

00:14:52.300 In fact, the data shows that it increases it.

00:14:57.200 Suicidality is highest a decade after transition.

00:15:01.280 That's what the data shows.

00:15:04.520 The suicide claim from trans activists

00:15:06.720 is nothing but emotional blackmail. 0.97

00:15:09.400 In the case of these horrendous evil parents,

00:15:12.240 it's simply a rationale.

00:15:13.480 It's self-justification

00:15:14.540 to legitimize their choices after the fact.

00:15:18.660 Speaking of legitimizing choices after the fact,

00:15:20.820 nobody at Fox has explained

00:15:23.540 how this toxic nonsense ended up on the airwaves.

00:15:27.320 I know for a fact that many of the people

00:15:29.260 who work at Fox do not agree with this,

00:15:32.080 do not want to be associated with it.

00:15:34.860 But a decision was made by somebody

00:15:37.300 to do this report and air it.

00:15:39.500 All the parties involved should explain themselves

00:15:43.220 and then they should be fired also.

00:15:46.300 Oh, are you promoting cancel culture? 1.00

00:15:48.580 You want to cancel these people?

00:15:50.020 Absolutely, I want to cancel them.

00:15:51.720 Yes.

00:15:53.340 They should be fired for sure.

00:15:55.260 Named, shamed, and fired.

00:15:56.780 When you put dishonest,

00:16:01.600 militant trans propaganda on the airwaves

00:16:05.460 that's going to do and is doing

00:16:10.280 immeasurable harm to thousands of kids,

00:16:13.380 then yeah, you should be fired for that.

00:16:16.120 Fox speaks largely to a conservative audience

00:16:18.500 and nobody in the audience wants any part of this.

00:16:21.720 Of all the people that were watching Fox

00:16:24.880 on that Friday when that report aired,

00:16:27.540 how many of them wanted that?

00:16:31.180 So this is propaganda made by and for an audience

00:16:34.320 that doesn't watch Fox and hates Fox

00:16:37.300 and especially hates Fox's actual audience.

00:16:42.500 But forget about conservative for a moment, okay?

00:16:44.880 Put that aside.

00:16:46.320 If Fox News wants to call itself news,

00:16:49.940 then it cannot put insane falsehoods

00:16:53.160 and radical far-left lies and propaganda on the air

00:16:56.140 if you want to be a news organization.

00:16:59.040 Especially this kind of propaganda, worst of all.

00:17:02.420 Propaganda which aims to exploit and destroy children.

00:17:08.220 So, Fox's audience has to call the network to account.

00:17:13.820 I mean, nothing less than a full retraction

00:17:16.580 and apology should be accepted here.

00:17:18.240 It's up to the audience to demand that.

00:17:21.980 So the audience can decide

00:17:23.380 whether they just want to let this slide

00:17:24.980 as Fox News celebrates Pride Month

00:17:28.600 putting up trans propaganda

00:17:30.540 that again, would not be aired

00:17:33.880 by any other major network on TV right now.

00:17:39.140 A lot of them would go close

00:17:40.540 to what you just saw from Fox,

00:17:41.780 but they wouldn't even go that far.

00:17:42.860 Suggesting that a toddler can choose her own gender. 0.65

00:17:49.840 When you hear that from the left,

00:17:51.300 but even on CNN, they would say,

00:17:54.540 ah, it's a little too far.

00:17:56.320 Maybe in a year or two,

00:17:57.380 we'll be at a point where we can put that out there

00:17:59.420 and not have any blowback.

00:18:03.400 Now, Fox's audience should have

00:18:04.920 zero-tolerance policy

00:18:06.420 for propaganda of any kind,

00:18:08.600 especially trans propaganda.

00:18:09.600 And you need to make sure

00:18:12.800 that Fox gets that memo.

00:18:15.940 Now let's get to our five headlines.

00:18:17.220 So far, there's been over 400 recorded data compromises

00:18:27.660 that have happened in 2022.

00:18:29.740 Okay, that's 400.

00:18:30.480 That's a big number if you didn't know.

00:18:31.480 This is an increase of 14% from last year,

00:18:33.840 impacting more than 20 million Americans.

00:18:35.980 Some of the most lucrative pieces of data

00:18:37.960 cyber thieves will want to steal

00:18:39.520 are social security numbers,

00:18:41.360 Gmail login and passwords,

00:18:42.860 even driver's licenses.

00:18:44.720 And that's why it's so important

00:18:46.060 to understand how cyber crime

00:18:47.860 and identity theft are affecting our lives,

00:18:49.560 and they are affecting our lives every day.

00:18:51.400 Your personal information gets exposed

00:18:52.660 so often, making it dangerously easy

00:18:54.520 for a cyber criminal to steal your identity.

00:18:57.140 Protecting your identity, then,

00:18:58.580 has never been more important,

00:19:00.080 but it also has never been easier

00:19:01.540 than it is now with LifeLock by Norton.

00:19:03.600 LifeLock detects and alerts you

00:19:04.860 to potential identity threats

00:19:06.040 like your things that you might not be able

00:19:07.840 to spot on your own

00:19:08.620 if your social security number is for sale

00:19:10.740 on the dark web, things like that.

00:19:12.440 And if you do become a victim of identity theft,

00:19:14.200 a dedicated U.S.-based restoration specialist

00:19:16.460 will work to help you fix it.

00:19:18.460 Nobody can prevent all identity theft

00:19:19.820 or monitor all transactions at all businesses,

00:19:21.740 but it's easy to help protect yourself

00:19:23.200 with LifeLock by Norton.

00:19:25.180 Identity theft protection starts here.

00:19:34.980 Well, since we're on the subject of betrayals,

00:19:37.940 I think this is a good segue here.

00:19:40.360 This is from the Daily Wire.

00:19:41.460 It says, a bipartisan group of U.S. senators

00:19:43.680 announced Sunday that they had agreed to a framework

00:19:46.780 to implement new gun control measures

00:19:48.740 following the tragedy in Uvalde, Texas late last month.

00:19:52.640 The group of 20 senators said in a statement,

00:19:55.220 today we're announcing a common sense,

00:19:56.960 bipartisan proposal to protect America's children,

00:19:59.700 keep our schools safe,

00:20:00.560 and reduce the threat of violence across our country.

00:20:03.060 Our plan increases needed mental health resources,

00:20:05.460 improves school safety and support for students,

00:20:07.560 and helps ensure dangerous criminals

00:20:09.540 and those who are educated as mentally ill,

00:20:12.540 adjudicated rather, can't purchase weapons.

00:20:15.540 And then there are nine points of focus,

00:20:17.800 they're saying, in this proposed legislation.

00:20:21.460 And then we go through the nine points.

00:20:23.560 The first one is support

00:20:24.800 for state crisis intervention orders.

00:20:27.880 And that provides resources to states and tribes

00:20:30.920 to create and administer laws

00:20:32.520 that help ensure deadly weapons

00:20:33.660 are kept out of the hands of individuals

00:20:35.080 whom a court has determined to be a significant danger

00:20:37.320 to themselves or others,

00:20:38.280 consistent with state and federal due process

00:20:39.740 and constitutional protections.

00:20:41.020 So that's red flag laws, in other words, 0.50

00:20:42.680 that's what those are.

00:20:44.320 And then they say they're going to invest

00:20:45.840 in children and family mental health services.

00:20:48.700 They're going to have protections

00:20:49.820 for victims of domestic violence.

00:20:52.860 Funding for school-based mental health

00:20:54.940 and supportive services.

00:20:57.900 Funding for school safety resources.

00:21:00.000 And that says, invest in programs

00:21:02.400 to help institute safety measures

00:21:03.820 in and around primary and secondary schools.

00:21:06.260 Support school violence prevention efforts

00:21:08.420 and provide training to school personnel

00:21:10.200 and students.

00:21:13.580 And then some,

00:21:14.260 under 21 enhanced review process

00:21:16.660 for buyers under 21 years of age

00:21:18.520 requires an investigative period

00:21:19.880 to review juvenile and mental health records,

00:21:22.420 including checks with state databases

00:21:24.080 and local law enforcement.

00:21:26.740 So as I go through this,

00:21:29.980 penalties for straw purchasing,

00:21:31.560 crackdown on criminals

00:21:32.620 who illegally straw purchase

00:21:34.060 and traffic guns.

00:21:35.340 As I go through this,

00:21:36.500 I'm looking for,

00:21:38.660 first of all,

00:21:40.560 the measures that would have actually

00:21:43.740 prevented the shooting in Uvalde, Texas

00:21:47.080 or the Buffalo,

00:21:49.140 the massacre in Buffalo.

00:21:52.140 And I know that the first thing

00:21:53.700 we're going to be told is that,

00:21:54.900 well, you know,

00:21:55.980 point number one would have prevented

00:21:58.400 both of those things.

00:21:59.800 Red flag laws, right? 0.96

00:22:01.700 Because both of these shooters

00:22:02.900 were mentally disturbed. 0.70

00:22:04.300 They had histories of violence.

00:22:06.880 They were known to be,

00:22:08.640 you know,

00:22:09.300 a threat to themselves and others,

00:22:10.920 and yet they were able

00:22:11.460 to get their hands on weapons.

00:22:12.520 Well,

00:22:13.420 the problem is that

00:22:14.560 in New York,

00:22:15.800 they already have red flag laws. 0.99

00:22:18.340 And those laws did nothing

00:22:20.060 to prevent the shooting

00:22:21.640 in Buffalo.

00:22:22.540 So there's really no evidence

00:22:26.080 that these laws work at all.

00:22:27.440 We already see,

00:22:29.040 there are already versions

00:22:30.400 of these kinds of measures

00:22:31.580 in place in many states

00:22:32.600 across the country,

00:22:33.380 and they don't appear

00:22:35.220 to be doing very much.

00:22:38.780 By the way,

00:22:39.840 it says,

00:22:40.560 so a bunch of Republicans

00:22:41.420 are on board for this,

00:22:42.400 of course.

00:22:45.000 And as I said,

00:22:46.600 just another example

00:22:47.920 of betrayal,

00:22:49.880 of course,

00:22:50.200 from conservatives.

00:22:50.860 What we have to understand

00:22:53.980 if we don't already

00:22:54.740 is that

00:22:55.460 we cannot trust

00:22:57.800 any of these institutional powers

00:23:02.180 that are supposed to be

00:23:03.380 representing

00:23:03.920 conservative interests.

00:23:07.440 And as Fox News has revealed,

00:23:09.180 that's the case for them,

00:23:10.260 and that's the case,

00:23:11.080 of course,

00:23:11.400 for Republicans in Congress.

00:23:15.180 As for the red flag laws,

00:23:17.000 especially,

00:23:17.460 I think there are two

00:23:18.200 really important points

00:23:19.020 about this.

00:23:20.860 The first is that,

00:23:22.980 again,

00:23:23.440 they don't work.

00:23:24.240 We've already seen.

00:23:24.840 At least they don't work

00:23:25.720 to actually prevent

00:23:26.640 these kinds of shootings.

00:23:28.100 If they did,

00:23:29.080 then Buffalo

00:23:29.480 never would have happened.

00:23:31.420 And yet it did happen.

00:23:33.980 And the second point

00:23:35.360 is that

00:23:35.980 you're giving power

00:23:38.520 over to the state

00:23:39.600 to determine ahead of time

00:23:42.380 who is,

00:23:45.240 you know,

00:23:45.980 who can be trusted

00:23:48.460 with a firearm

00:23:49.780 and who can't.

00:23:52.760 And that could work.

00:23:54.900 I mean,

00:23:55.080 that's fine

00:23:55.660 if you can trust

00:23:56.680 the state,

00:23:57.660 but we know

00:23:58.880 that we can't.

00:24:00.940 So these kinds of measures,

00:24:02.760 they're just begging

00:24:03.660 to be used

00:24:06.620 by the left

00:24:08.960 to prevent

00:24:09.520 their ideological opponents

00:24:10.720 from getting

00:24:12.080 their hands on weapons.

00:24:12.860 I mean,

00:24:16.120 you have to ask,

00:24:16.840 like,

00:24:17.020 what qualifies

00:24:17.860 as a red flag?

00:24:19.860 Well,

00:24:20.340 a red flag

00:24:20.860 means that

00:24:21.200 you're a danger

00:24:22.220 to the public,

00:24:22.940 right?

00:24:23.300 Okay.

00:24:24.480 Well,

00:24:24.740 on the surface,

00:24:25.320 that seems to make sense.

00:24:27.860 And I would agree

00:24:28.820 that if somebody

00:24:29.400 is actually

00:24:30.040 a physical danger

00:24:31.200 to the public,

00:24:32.060 then they shouldn't

00:24:33.600 be able to get

00:24:34.160 their hands on a weapon.

00:24:34.880 like the guy

00:24:38.300 down in Uvalde,

00:24:39.020 Texas,

00:24:39.580 or the shooter

00:24:40.600 in Buffalo.

00:24:42.900 In Texas,

00:24:43.780 he was,

00:24:44.840 again,

00:24:45.140 known to everybody

00:24:45.900 around him

00:24:46.380 to be,

00:24:46.700 you know, 0.96

00:24:48.400 mentally unstable.

00:24:50.920 There's videos

00:24:51.700 of him abusing

00:24:52.580 animals

00:24:53.000 and all this kind of stuff.

00:24:53.700 So we have him

00:24:54.200 on video

00:24:55.360 being violent

00:24:56.120 and everything else.

00:24:58.360 So if that's

00:24:59.100 what you mean

00:24:59.680 by a danger

00:25:00.240 to the public,

00:25:01.060 then sure.

00:25:02.620 You know,

00:25:02.860 I think everyone

00:25:03.680 can agree.

00:25:05.840 That you got to do

00:25:06.780 everything you can

00:25:07.320 within the bounds

00:25:07.900 of the law

00:25:08.360 to stop actually

00:25:09.440 physically dangerous

00:25:10.400 people from

00:25:11.460 acquiring the tools

00:25:15.320 to,

00:25:15.760 you know,

00:25:16.820 act out

00:25:17.380 in this kind of way.

00:25:20.480 But what does

00:25:21.260 the left mean

00:25:22.120 when they call

00:25:23.520 someone a danger

00:25:24.240 to the public?

00:25:26.180 Remember,

00:25:27.140 for the last two weeks,

00:25:28.440 they've been saying

00:25:28.940 that I myself,

00:25:30.560 yours truly,

00:25:31.360 I'm a danger. 0.87

00:25:31.980 I'm genocidal.

00:25:32.860 I'm actually

00:25:35.080 guilty of genocide,

00:25:36.380 they've said,

00:25:37.060 just for making

00:25:37.820 a movie they don't like.

00:25:40.220 So we know

00:25:41.040 that this is the,

00:25:42.040 this is kind of

00:25:44.180 the ground

00:25:44.620 that they've laid

00:25:45.120 ahead of time.

00:25:47.780 That they've,

00:25:48.540 they've established

00:25:50.000 that you're a danger

00:25:51.240 to the public,

00:25:51.920 you're a physical danger

00:25:53.160 to people's lives

00:25:54.200 if you have

00:25:55.660 certain opinions,

00:25:57.120 certain viewpoints

00:25:57.780 that they don't like.

00:25:58.440 And if you think

00:26:00.960 I'm exaggerating

00:26:01.760 or this seems like

00:26:02.480 a far-fetched

00:26:03.240 conspiracy theory,

00:26:03.960 oh,

00:26:04.100 they're not going

00:26:04.380 to use red flag laws

00:26:05.700 to disarm conservatives

00:26:07.620 on ideological

00:26:08.400 or political grounds.

00:26:09.940 They would never do that.

00:26:11.000 That's crazy.

00:26:12.420 That's,

00:26:12.860 come on.

00:26:13.740 That's conspiracy theory stuff.

00:26:15.440 Well,

00:26:16.040 there's a tweet

00:26:18.320 from 2019,

00:26:20.280 Representative Eric Swalwell,

00:26:21.460 that's kind of making

00:26:21.920 the rounds online

00:26:22.680 again today,

00:26:24.020 responding to

00:26:25.120 and about Ben Shapiro.

00:26:28.680 So,

00:26:29.440 Jason Campbell

00:26:30.000 over at Media Matters

00:26:30.900 back in 2019

00:26:31.880 tweeted a

00:26:33.580 video

00:26:35.800 of Ben Shapiro

00:26:37.100 talking about,

00:26:38.460 he says,

00:26:39.180 Ben Shapiro warns

00:26:40.080 that if politicians

00:26:40.720 try to mandate

00:26:41.520 LGBTQ indoctrination 1.00

00:26:43.180 at all schools,

00:26:44.340 then he will

00:26:44.840 pick up a gun.

00:26:45.880 Further adding,

00:26:47.280 Beto O'Rourke

00:26:47.780 does not get to

00:26:48.540 raise my child

00:26:49.260 and if he tries,

00:26:50.080 I will meet him

00:26:50.560 at the door 0.99

00:26:51.160 with a gun.

00:26:52.220 So,

00:26:52.620 obviously,

00:26:53.200 Media Matters

00:26:53.680 doing their thing,

00:26:54.420 taking a,

00:26:54.940 a clip from

00:26:55.560 a Daily Wire show,

00:26:57.140 which this is what

00:26:57.800 they love to do,

00:26:58.300 it's their favorite thing.

00:26:59.160 Take the clip,

00:26:59.780 take it wildly

00:27:00.340 out of context.

00:27:01.440 Obviously,

00:27:01.780 Ben here is talking

00:27:02.500 about,

00:27:03.140 you know,

00:27:05.100 oppression by the state,

00:27:06.820 tyranny by the state,

00:27:07.740 and how we can,

00:27:09.340 the Second Amendment

00:27:10.020 exists

00:27:10.800 to protect us

00:27:13.340 from tyranny

00:27:14.960 from the state.

00:27:17.340 Pretty,

00:27:17.800 pretty standard.

00:27:18.680 Most people

00:27:18.980 understand that.

00:27:20.320 Eric Swalwell

00:27:20.900 responds to that

00:27:21.820 and says,

00:27:22.420 about Ben Shapiro,

00:27:23.280 please tell me 0.99

00:27:24.960 this lunatic 0.99

00:27:25.560 does not own a gun. 0.99

00:27:27.720 Reason

00:27:28.060 1,578

00:27:29.660 why America

00:27:30.520 needs red flag laws.

00:27:32.800 So,

00:27:33.100 this is a guy

00:27:33.500 in Congress

00:27:34.280 who's already said

00:27:35.320 that if there are

00:27:36.880 red flag laws,

00:27:37.760 federal red flag,

00:27:38.440 one of the first people

00:27:39.200 he wants to disarm

00:27:39.960 is Ben Shapiro.

00:27:43.180 Now,

00:27:43.680 I could be,

00:27:44.160 I mean,

00:27:44.400 I have,

00:27:45.160 I admit,

00:27:45.780 I haven't checked

00:27:46.380 Ben's criminal record,

00:27:47.740 but I'm pretty sure

00:27:49.800 that he doesn't have

00:27:50.820 any felony arrests

00:27:51.760 for any violent crimes

00:27:53.280 or any other crimes

00:27:53.980 at all.

00:27:56.020 I'm guessing

00:27:56.660 he probably doesn't

00:27:57.060 have any misdemeanors.

00:27:59.860 So,

00:28:00.340 this is based

00:28:00.740 on something

00:28:01.180 that he said

00:28:01.960 on his podcast

00:28:03.080 that Media Matters

00:28:04.340 didn't like

00:28:04.940 and so Media Matters

00:28:06.020 highlights this

00:28:07.600 and then the state

00:28:08.860 comes along

00:28:09.360 and says,

00:28:09.780 oh,

00:28:09.900 that's a red flag.

00:28:11.040 I don't know

00:28:11.560 about this guy,

00:28:12.080 he's a danger.

00:28:12.600 and it doesn't

00:28:17.440 have to be

00:28:17.840 about guns

00:28:18.840 specifically.

00:28:20.840 As I said,

00:28:21.600 my documentary

00:28:23.200 had nothing to do

00:28:23.680 with guns,

00:28:24.140 but it's genocidal.

00:28:27.640 If you don't,

00:28:28.520 if you disagree

00:28:29.200 with transing 0.95

00:28:30.400 five-year-old kids,

00:28:31.840 everything I said

00:28:32.540 to start the show,

00:28:33.580 if you disagree

00:28:34.320 with that Fox News

00:28:35.440 segment,

00:28:36.480 then you're genocidal, 0.78

00:28:38.560 you're a threat

00:28:39.200 to the public, 1.00

00:28:39.800 you're causing suicide, 0.99

00:28:40.920 you're killing people, 1.00

00:28:42.180 you are 0.99

00:28:42.480 directly killing people

00:28:43.760 and you don't even 0.99

00:28:45.840 have to say anything.

00:28:47.920 Silence is also violence,

00:28:49.320 keep in mind.

00:28:51.220 So it's a red flag

00:28:52.400 if you say something

00:28:53.340 they don't like,

00:28:53.940 it makes you a danger

00:28:54.700 and even if you

00:28:56.300 don't say something

00:28:57.860 where they think

00:28:58.520 you ought to be

00:28:59.100 saying something,

00:29:01.000 that can also,

00:29:01.640 that's violent.

00:29:02.520 You could be killing

00:29:03.040 somebody doing that,

00:29:03.960 they say.

00:29:05.760 Another red flag.

00:29:09.240 So this is always

00:29:10.060 the problem you run into

00:29:10.860 with any gun control

00:29:12.460 legislation

00:29:13.080 and the reasons

00:29:15.220 that they give behind it.

00:29:18.120 Before you could even

00:29:19.000 begin to take

00:29:20.360 these proposals

00:29:21.060 seriously

00:29:21.680 and take them

00:29:22.680 into consideration,

00:29:23.360 if you were tempted

00:29:24.480 to do that,

00:29:26.060 you have to start

00:29:26.760 by asking yourself,

00:29:27.620 do I trust these people?

00:29:30.880 Whatever it is

00:29:31.600 that they're proposing,

00:29:32.760 before we can even

00:29:34.460 analyze the

00:29:35.540 pluses and minuses,

00:29:37.360 right,

00:29:37.960 do I trust them

00:29:39.540 to enforce this

00:29:40.360 fairly and objectively?

00:29:42.760 Or is this

00:29:43.500 a Trojan horse

00:29:44.480 to try to

00:29:46.580 punish their

00:29:49.140 political opponents?

00:29:52.420 And in this case,

00:29:53.220 they've been very clear

00:29:53.860 that that's the case.

00:29:56.680 And there are other

00:29:59.000 gun grabbers

00:29:59.580 who are even

00:30:00.120 more clear,

00:30:00.920 I think.

00:30:01.240 If you want to know

00:30:01.700 what the gun grabbing

00:30:02.460 crowd is really up to,

00:30:03.840 Justin Trudeau,

00:30:05.000 in an interview

00:30:06.380 last week,

00:30:07.040 I think this is

00:30:07.440 on some kind

00:30:07.900 of podcast,

00:30:09.960 you know,

00:30:10.140 he comes out

00:30:11.060 and this is

00:30:11.380 another mask-off moment.

00:30:12.400 We get a lot

00:30:12.780 of these from

00:30:13.180 Justin Trudeau.

00:30:14.900 Just listen to this.

00:30:17.740 And there are debates

00:30:19.480 and we have a culture

00:30:21.320 where the difference

00:30:22.180 is guns can be used

00:30:23.900 for hunting

00:30:24.800 or for sport shooting

00:30:25.980 in Canada

00:30:26.480 and there are lots

00:30:27.320 of gun owners

00:30:27.860 and they're mostly

00:30:29.080 respecting and law-abiding,

00:30:31.800 but you can't use

00:30:33.260 a gun for self-protection

00:30:34.600 in Canada.

00:30:35.220 That's not a right

00:30:36.180 that you have

00:30:36.680 in the Constitution

00:30:37.340 or anywhere else.

00:30:38.280 If you try and buy a gun

00:30:39.780 and say it's

00:30:40.100 for self-protection,

00:30:40.880 no, you don't get that.

00:30:41.760 You get it for hunting,

00:30:42.900 you can get it

00:30:43.400 for sport shooting,

00:30:44.100 you can take it

00:30:44.380 to the range,

00:30:45.260 no problem,

00:30:46.000 as long as you go

00:30:46.520 through our rigorous

00:30:47.120 background checks.

00:30:48.320 But there's a difference

00:30:49.580 around the culture

00:30:50.200 and one of the things

00:30:50.920 that we're seeing

00:30:51.500 with the debate

00:30:52.100 in the States

00:30:52.740 is you get more

00:30:54.220 and more of the

00:30:54.800 American-style,

00:30:56.280 you know,

00:30:56.540 right-to-carry,

00:30:57.360 self-defense arguments

00:30:58.540 filtering up

00:30:59.920 through the usual,

00:31:03.080 more right-wing

00:31:03.760 communications channels.

00:31:04.820 Yeah.

00:31:06.160 You don't get to have

00:31:07.340 a gun for self-defense

00:31:08.180 in Canada.

00:31:08.700 That's what he said.

00:31:11.240 Once again,

00:31:13.220 if you had predicted

00:31:14.440 this as a conservative

00:31:15.220 and many did

00:31:16.120 for years leading up

00:31:17.000 to this,

00:31:17.380 that was a slippery

00:31:17.980 slope fallacy. 0.98

00:31:19.120 Oh, that's ridiculous. 0.89

00:31:20.240 It's never going to come 0.92

00:31:20.800 to that.

00:31:21.820 Of course you can use

00:31:22.680 a gun for self-defense.

00:31:23.700 And now we have

00:31:25.260 Justin Trudeau

00:31:25.980 saying,

00:31:28.280 no,

00:31:28.460 you don't have that right

00:31:29.320 to use a gun

00:31:29.840 in self-defense.

00:31:31.960 This,

00:31:32.720 I don't think

00:31:34.240 an exaggeration to say,

00:31:35.120 this is one of the

00:31:36.040 worst things

00:31:37.000 we've ever heard

00:31:38.260 a political leader

00:31:40.620 say in the Western world.

00:31:42.740 I mean,

00:31:43.140 ever.

00:31:44.180 It's one of the most

00:31:45.500 demented

00:31:46.020 and frankly terrifying

00:31:47.520 things we've ever heard

00:31:48.840 from somebody

00:31:51.420 leading a country

00:31:52.240 in the Western world.

00:31:53.280 you don't get

00:31:55.420 to use a gun

00:31:56.100 for self-defense.

00:31:57.260 And he was very clear

00:31:58.020 about that.

00:31:58.980 You don't have that right.

00:32:00.140 You do not have

00:32:01.200 the right

00:32:01.800 to self-protection,

00:32:03.140 to preserve

00:32:03.980 your own life.

00:32:05.560 You don't have that right.

00:32:08.600 Who has that right?

00:32:09.460 Well, the state has it.

00:32:11.020 What does that mean?

00:32:11.960 The state will decide

00:32:12.960 if you're worthy

00:32:15.520 of continuing

00:32:16.180 your existence or not.

00:32:19.520 And so,

00:32:20.220 if you're in Canada,

00:32:21.440 this is what

00:32:21.800 Justin Trudeau is saying,

00:32:22.900 this is not me extrapolating,

00:32:24.160 this is what he just said,

00:32:25.700 that if you're in Canada

00:32:26.620 and you find yourself

00:32:29.220 confronted

00:32:29.660 by a bad guy

00:32:30.880 with a gun,

00:32:32.580 because the bad guys

00:32:33.720 are still going to have them,

00:32:34.820 right?

00:32:35.060 Because the bad guys,

00:32:36.020 they don't care about the law.

00:32:38.480 And you could

00:32:39.160 pass 50 laws

00:32:41.320 saying the same thing

00:32:43.560 over and over again.

00:32:45.660 You ban guns

00:32:46.960 and then pass another law

00:32:47.880 banning them again

00:32:48.580 and again and again.

00:32:49.720 And you know,

00:32:50.460 the thing about

00:32:50.900 the lawbreakers

00:32:51.860 is that they're going to

00:32:52.760 look at all 50 1.00

00:32:53.320 and just say,

00:32:53.880 I don't care.

00:32:55.920 In fact,

00:32:56.340 they're quite happy about it

00:32:57.180 because it just means

00:32:57.840 that there's going to be

00:32:58.920 less resistance.

00:33:01.140 Fewer of the good guys

00:33:01.880 are going to have guns.

00:33:03.020 Fewer of the law-abiding

00:33:04.100 citizens are going to have guns. 0.54

00:33:05.880 In fact,

00:33:06.200 none of the law-abiding

00:33:06.820 citizens are going to have guns 1.00

00:33:07.720 because by definition,

00:33:08.980 if you're law-abiding,

00:33:10.660 then you're abiding this law,

00:33:11.340 you don't have a gun.

00:33:13.400 So,

00:33:14.080 in Canada,

00:33:14.880 there are still going,

00:33:15.660 there still are

00:33:16.480 and still will be

00:33:17.420 forever

00:33:17.960 criminals with guns.

00:33:19.940 And what Justin Trudeau

00:33:20.760 is saying is that

00:33:21.420 when the criminal comes up

00:33:22.660 and points the gun at you 0.99

00:33:23.500 and is going to shoot you, 1.00

00:33:25.600 it is your responsibility 1.00

00:33:27.660 to die. 0.99

00:33:29.500 That's your responsibility. 0.99

00:33:32.000 To be a good member

00:33:33.160 of the state,

00:33:34.500 to be a good subservient 0.96

00:33:36.480 vassal of the state,

00:33:39.360 your responsibility

00:33:40.200 in that moment

00:33:41.080 is the most noble thing

00:33:42.340 you can do 1.00

00:33:42.860 is to simply die. 1.00

00:33:44.440 And the bad guy 1.00

00:33:47.660 with the gun

00:33:47.920 can point it at you 0.99

00:33:48.440 and tell you, 1.00

00:33:48.780 I'm going to kill you. 1.00

00:33:50.800 And all you can do 1.00

00:33:51.500 is just fall to your knees

00:33:52.900 and say,

00:33:53.340 all right,

00:33:53.640 well,

00:33:53.740 that's it for me.

00:33:54.260 My life is over.

00:33:55.900 Your wife and your children

00:33:57.340 are there too

00:33:57.880 who's going to kill 0.96

00:33:58.280 your whole family. 0.99

00:33:59.540 Well, 1.00

00:34:00.680 then they have to die. 1.00

00:34:04.260 That's their responsibility too, 0.99

00:34:06.320 Justin Trudeau was saying.

00:34:10.120 Like I said,

00:34:10.820 one of the worst things

00:34:11.860 we've ever heard

00:34:12.380 from a Western political leader.

00:34:13.500 One of the worst.

00:34:13.980 It's mind-blowing.

00:34:18.180 Even though we expected it,

00:34:19.460 even though those of us

00:34:20.680 with common sense

00:34:21.500 saw where the gun-grabbing

00:34:23.920 agenda was headed

00:34:25.900 and we said this was coming,

00:34:27.260 but even so,

00:34:27.960 this is the situation

00:34:28.620 we're in all the time

00:34:29.260 as conservatives, right?

00:34:29.980 Where we see something coming,

00:34:31.540 we predict it,

00:34:32.340 and then it comes

00:34:32.920 and we're still,

00:34:34.420 it still kind of

00:34:35.040 takes your breath away.

00:34:35.820 To actually see it

00:34:36.620 in real life

00:34:37.020 and hear that,

00:34:38.620 you don't have the right

00:34:39.480 to self-protection.

00:34:40.800 My God.

00:34:44.540 But maybe you'll luck out.

00:34:45.640 Maybe the cops will ship.

00:34:46.400 Maybe an agent of the state

00:34:47.820 will show up in time

00:34:49.000 to protect you.

00:34:51.260 Because,

00:34:51.820 why is it?

00:34:52.260 The state,

00:34:52.900 what's this all about really?

00:34:54.280 The state

00:34:55.000 is what confers,

00:34:57.380 the state confers

00:34:58.340 that right.

00:34:59.220 So when you're confronted

00:35:02.240 by the bad guy with the gun,

00:35:03.360 you yourself inherently

00:35:04.560 don't necessarily have the right

00:35:05.900 to continue existing.

00:35:06.940 That's not a right

00:35:07.400 that you have.

00:35:08.480 The state confers it.

00:35:10.920 And so if you can call 911,

00:35:11.940 if you could tell the bad guy

00:35:12.880 who's about to shoot you, 0.80

00:35:13.880 hang on one second, 0.98

00:35:14.600 let me get on the horn,

00:35:15.780 call 911,

00:35:16.980 maybe he'll be nice about it.

00:35:18.860 You know,

00:35:19.160 he might be a good sport

00:35:20.620 and say,

00:35:21.140 all right,

00:35:21.260 I'll let you call,

00:35:22.000 I'll give him three minutes

00:35:22.780 to show up,

00:35:23.240 they don't get here in time, 1.00

00:35:23.900 I'm going to kill you. 1.00

00:35:24.940 You could try that. 1.00

00:35:27.080 Police show up in time,

00:35:28.040 maybe you can continue existing.

00:35:32.560 Of course,

00:35:33.540 one of the other

00:35:34.400 doctrinal points

00:35:35.620 in leftism

00:35:36.800 is that the cops

00:35:38.000 are all 0.96

00:35:38.520 murderous, 1.00

00:35:39.820 racist bastards. 1.00

00:35:43.560 And they are now 1.00

00:35:44.520 the ones who are going

00:35:45.040 to be solely responsible

00:35:46.280 for preserving

00:35:47.320 and protecting your life.

00:35:48.880 The murderous,

00:35:50.200 soulless, 1.00

00:35:50.600 racist bastard. 1.00

00:35:51.340 So that's the way 1.00

00:35:53.000 it goes on the left.

00:35:54.920 All right,

00:35:55.620 a couple other things

00:35:56.520 on this.

00:35:56.840 So there was a

00:35:57.580 protest over the weekend

00:35:59.060 in the United States,

00:36:00.840 across the country.

00:36:01.640 This was,

00:36:02.320 I guess,

00:36:02.740 in tandem

00:36:03.360 with the pride marches.

00:36:04.280 So they had the pride marches

00:36:05.280 going on

00:36:05.880 and the BDSM guys

00:36:08.020 with the whips

00:36:08.420 and everything.

00:36:09.240 And then down the street,

00:36:09.960 they also had people

00:36:10.900 marching to end

00:36:12.080 gun violence

00:36:12.900 as their signs say.

00:36:15.180 Because that's how,

00:36:15.780 you know,

00:36:15.980 that's how you stop

00:36:16.560 gun violence.

00:36:17.640 Again,

00:36:18.060 going back to the

00:36:18.780 criminals with guns,

00:36:19.840 the bad guys

00:36:20.340 who are doing all this.

00:36:22.560 The next potential

00:36:23.580 mass shooter.

00:36:24.180 You know,

00:36:26.320 if he sees

00:36:26.940 whoever that is,

00:36:28.220 if he sees

00:36:28.820 the march

00:36:29.340 and he sees

00:36:29.700 somebody holding

00:36:30.120 a sign saying

00:36:30.720 end gun violence,

00:36:31.820 maybe he'll say,

00:36:32.680 you know what,

00:36:32.960 you're right.

00:36:33.580 This isn't the way to be.

00:36:35.380 Drop his gun

00:36:36.100 and be reformed.

00:36:36.840 It's possible.

00:36:39.200 I want to play

00:36:39.560 a little bit

00:36:39.820 of the Reuters report

00:36:40.800 about this march in D.C.

00:36:42.420 because there's a point

00:36:43.500 that I want to make

00:36:44.060 about it,

00:36:44.440 but let's listen to it.

00:36:45.300 Tens of thousands

00:36:51.440 of demonstrators

00:36:52.500 took part in rallies

00:36:53.700 across the United States

00:36:55.160 on Saturday

00:36:55.840 to demand that lawmakers

00:36:57.580 pass legislation

00:36:58.920 aimed at curbing

00:36:59.920 gun violence

00:37:00.720 following last month's

00:37:02.300 massacre

00:37:02.780 at an elementary school

00:37:04.200 in Uvalde, Texas.

00:37:06.320 In the nation's capital,

00:37:07.680 organizers with

00:37:08.440 March for Our Lives

00:37:09.720 estimated that

00:37:10.560 40,000 people

00:37:11.900 assembled at the

00:37:12.700 National Mall.

00:37:13.460 How many ways

00:37:15.560 can we say it?

00:37:17.540 Gun violence

00:37:18.260 does not discriminate.

00:37:20.320 It happens everywhere

00:37:21.660 and all the time.

00:37:23.580 It has been happening

00:37:24.800 everywhere all the time

00:37:26.260 because you Congress

00:37:27.920 have done nothing

00:37:29.380 to prevent it.

00:37:33.400 March for Our Lives,

00:37:34.960 the gun safety group

00:37:35.960 founded by student

00:37:36.980 survivors of the

00:37:37.880 2018 massacre

00:37:39.020 at a Parkland,

00:37:40.000 Florida high school,

00:37:41.300 said it had planned

00:37:42.080 hundreds of rallies

00:37:43.180 nationwide for Saturday,

00:37:45.000 including in New York City,

00:37:46.680 where 9th grader

00:37:47.540 Anya Biggs

00:37:48.440 said she believed

00:37:49.140 the country was close

00:37:50.160 to becoming

00:37:50.820 totally numb

00:37:51.720 to the violence.

00:37:52.980 I think we're reaching

00:37:53.920 a national tipping point,

00:37:55.580 especially,

00:37:56.960 well, I'm in 9th grade,

00:37:58.220 but as I've seen

00:37:59.080 over the past few years,

00:38:00.060 the amount of gun violence

00:38:01.020 that has happened,

00:38:01.620 I think we're reaching

00:38:02.340 a tipping point

00:38:03.060 where we're about

00:38:04.100 to hit desensitization

00:38:05.660 to gun violence.

00:38:06.780 Okay, so we got

00:38:08.720 the 9th grader there

00:38:09.500 giving her a take

00:38:10.580 on the direction

00:38:12.040 of society.

00:38:12.840 She thinks we're

00:38:13.240 reaching a tipping point.

00:38:14.360 So that's the point

00:38:14.940 I wanted to make

00:38:15.580 about this because

00:38:16.340 especially with these

00:38:18.060 end gun violence protests,

00:38:19.980 March for Our Lives

00:38:20.520 and everything,

00:38:21.420 a lot of very young kids

00:38:23.120 are involved.

00:38:23.900 They like to get

00:38:24.320 the young kids,

00:38:25.500 well, at least the young kids

00:38:26.540 are out in front

00:38:27.600 because they're used

00:38:28.240 as political pawns.

00:38:30.020 People actually

00:38:30.520 organizing these events

00:38:31.880 and, you know,

00:38:34.620 who kind of organize

00:38:36.620 these things

00:38:37.060 and are actually

00:38:39.000 behind the scenes.

00:38:40.440 They're not kids,

00:38:41.160 but they put the kids

00:38:41.960 out front and center

00:38:42.620 and especially

00:38:44.460 when it comes to

00:38:45.060 an issue like this

00:38:45.800 and climate change

00:38:46.520 is the other one.

00:38:47.460 So climate change

00:38:48.140 and gun violence,

00:38:49.560 those are the two

00:38:50.840 subjects in particular

00:38:53.040 where we're supposed

00:38:54.760 to listen to what

00:38:55.520 the kids are telling

00:38:56.160 us about it, right?

00:38:58.420 And the left says that.

00:39:01.880 While also saying that,

00:39:04.580 you know, of course,

00:39:05.080 kids can choose

00:39:05.700 their own gender

00:39:06.240 and all the rest of it.

00:39:07.540 So this is the,

00:39:08.320 these are the responsibilities

00:39:09.440 that they're imposing,

00:39:11.740 conferring to kids.

00:39:14.780 Meanwhile, in reality,

00:39:16.160 I think, I think those

00:39:16.960 of us in common sense

00:39:17.980 world, we have a,

00:39:20.600 we're pretty consistent

00:39:21.340 about this.

00:39:22.160 It's like kids

00:39:22.980 are just kids.

00:39:25.900 Okay, I'm not,

00:39:26.740 I'm not too interested.

00:39:29.320 The declarations

00:39:30.400 a five-year-old makes

00:39:31.320 about their gender.

00:39:32.620 That doesn't interest me

00:39:33.740 because that's just

00:39:34.220 a five-year-old babbling,

00:39:35.380 just being a kid.

00:39:36.580 And so let the five-year-old

00:39:37.640 be a kid.

00:39:38.880 Doesn't want to wear a dress,

00:39:40.000 fine, doesn't have

00:39:40.700 to wear a dress.

00:39:41.600 Maybe a five-year-old

00:39:42.520 has to wear a dress

00:39:43.020 for church for an hour,

00:39:44.160 but that's,

00:39:44.480 but that's it, it's fine.

00:39:47.460 So you let the kid

00:39:48.280 be a kid.

00:39:50.720 Same also for ninth graders

00:39:52.460 who are marching

00:39:54.280 to end gun violence

00:39:55.500 and are imparting

00:39:56.660 their wisdom about,

00:39:57.720 you know,

00:39:58.680 weighing all of that.

00:39:59.680 Well, you've got

00:40:00.080 second amendment rights

00:40:01.080 versus this,

00:40:01.820 and we're supposed

00:40:02.360 to listen to what

00:40:03.880 they have to say about it.

00:40:05.240 Why?

00:40:07.740 It's like listening

00:40:08.340 to a, you know,

00:40:08.900 a 14-year-old tell us

00:40:10.000 about climate change

00:40:11.240 and all the ways

00:40:12.360 that human society

00:40:14.500 has to be reorganized.

00:40:17.380 And we're supposed

00:40:18.020 to listen to teenagers

00:40:20.180 tell us about that

00:40:21.380 and take their ideas

00:40:24.060 seriously.

00:40:24.760 No, I don't take

00:40:28.360 their ideas seriously

00:40:29.160 because, number one,

00:40:30.320 I was a teenager once

00:40:31.400 and I remember it.

00:40:33.680 And, number two,

00:40:34.660 for their own sake,

00:40:35.480 I don't take them seriously.

00:40:39.220 That is a responsibility

00:40:42.400 that kids shouldn't have.

00:40:45.200 Like, no kid

00:40:46.220 should be made

00:40:47.760 the front and center

00:40:48.640 of any movement

00:40:50.200 at all.

00:40:51.800 That's not what

00:40:53.460 being a kid's about.

00:40:55.860 And they don't have

00:40:56.560 the wisdom for it

00:40:57.360 or they have no experience

00:40:59.280 at all, hardly,

00:41:00.100 in the world.

00:41:02.860 So, because I have

00:41:03.880 common sense

00:41:04.360 and also for their own sake,

00:41:05.840 when I hear kids

00:41:06.580 going on about any subject,

00:41:07.880 I say,

00:41:08.100 I really don't care.

00:41:08.840 I don't care what you

00:41:09.400 think about this.

00:41:10.420 It doesn't really

00:41:11.080 make a difference.

00:41:11.860 You don't know

00:41:12.620 what you're talking about.

00:41:13.620 And that's fine.

00:41:14.200 I didn't either

00:41:14.980 when I was your age.

00:41:17.720 All right,

00:41:17.940 one other thing.

00:41:18.580 Oh, we've got to play

00:41:19.060 this too.

00:41:19.480 Okay, so at the

00:41:20.140 March for Our Lives

00:41:21.080 protest there in D.C.,

00:41:22.480 somebody during

00:41:23.520 one of the speeches,

00:41:24.620 apparently someone

00:41:25.360 yelled out gunshot.

00:41:26.940 There was no gunshot.

00:41:27.920 There was no,

00:41:28.300 it wasn't even any

00:41:28.880 loud bang or anything,

00:41:30.120 but somebody yelled 0.83

00:41:30.740 out gunshot.

00:41:32.360 And then here's

00:41:34.020 how the crowd responded.

00:41:35.100 Watch this.

00:41:36.520 We fight every day

00:41:38.720 for our...

00:41:39.480 And then...

00:41:44.080 Okay, run it

00:41:44.800 for the eggs.

00:41:45.240 Now look...

00:41:46.480 Okay.

00:41:47.500 Do not run!

00:41:49.060 Freeze! 0.97

00:41:49.880 Do not run!

00:41:51.340 There is no issue here!

00:41:54.120 Do not run!

00:41:56.220 These are...

00:41:56.940 First of all,

00:41:57.800 wow, these are

00:41:58.300 very compliant people.

00:42:01.720 Paranoid on edge,

00:42:02.620 very compliant though,

00:42:03.420 because all they...

00:42:04.180 They thought that

00:42:04.880 someone was shooting

00:42:06.220 and then the woman 0.68

00:42:08.640 on stage says,

00:42:09.540 freeze, don't run,

00:42:10.220 and they all stop.

00:42:11.260 It's like a game

00:42:11.720 of Simon Says or something.

00:42:12.780 Maybe that's what

00:42:13.160 was happening there.

00:42:15.220 But you notice,

00:42:16.160 if you're watching the video

00:42:16.960 and if you're listening

00:42:17.420 to audio,

00:42:17.860 you should go on

00:42:19.000 just on Twitter

00:42:19.920 or something

00:42:20.180 and find that video.

00:42:21.040 It's all over the place.

00:42:22.300 But it's quite revealing.

00:42:24.380 It illustrates something,

00:42:25.380 I think,

00:42:25.600 about this crowd in general.

00:42:27.200 That there are...

00:42:28.060 I mean,

00:42:28.300 there are literally

00:42:28.920 elderly women

00:42:30.280 in the back of the crowd

00:42:31.880 near the fence line.

00:42:33.900 Somebody yells,

00:42:34.600 a gunshot,

00:42:35.180 and all of these

00:42:36.000 younger people

00:42:36.840 are trampling old women, 1.00

00:42:39.720 throwing them to the ground 0.98

00:42:41.100 to get away

00:42:42.080 from this phantom gunshot.

00:42:43.540 which really does

00:42:45.900 kind of tell you

00:42:46.320 something,

00:42:46.540 doesn't it?

00:42:47.460 Because they're all there

00:42:48.400 pretending to,

00:42:49.600 you know,

00:42:49.760 it's their concern

00:42:50.780 for humanity,

00:42:52.160 for people's lives.

00:42:53.460 March for our lives

00:42:54.640 is what they pretend

00:42:55.420 to care about.

00:42:56.060 But it's really my life

00:42:57.480 that they care about.

00:42:58.640 Not the life

00:42:59.260 of this old woman

00:42:59.900 because I heard

00:43:01.320 a loud noise

00:43:01.800 and I'm scared. 0.79

00:43:02.880 I'm going to throw her 1.00

00:43:03.460 to the ground, 0.99

00:43:04.400 hop a fence,

00:43:04.980 and I'm out of there.

00:43:08.720 Real cowardice

00:43:09.460 on display there.

00:43:10.040 All right.

00:43:11.540 AOC was on

00:43:12.640 one of the cable news channels,

00:43:14.460 doesn't matter,

00:43:15.500 asked about supporting,

00:43:17.160 oh, this is CNN.

00:43:17.880 Okay, CNN.

00:43:18.360 She was asked

00:43:18.680 whether she's going to

00:43:19.220 support Biden's re-election

00:43:20.580 if he does run for re-election.

00:43:23.260 And her answer was

00:43:24.300 not yes.

00:43:25.680 Her answer was

00:43:26.100 definitely not yes.

00:43:26.840 Let's listen to that.

00:43:28.880 I just want to ask

00:43:30.040 about President Biden.

00:43:31.480 He is saying

00:43:31.940 he's going to run again

00:43:32.780 in 2024.

00:43:33.880 Will you support him?

00:43:36.780 You know,

00:43:37.280 if the president chooses

00:43:38.140 to run again

00:43:39.340 in 2024,

00:43:40.800 I mean,

00:43:41.180 first of all,

00:43:41.860 I'm focused on winning

00:43:43.040 this majority right now

00:43:44.260 and preserving a majority

00:43:46.180 this year in 2022.

00:43:47.860 So we'll cross that bridge

00:43:48.880 when we get to it.

00:43:49.860 But I think

00:43:51.060 if the president

00:43:52.060 has a vision,

00:43:52.880 then that's something

00:43:53.360 certainly we're all

00:43:54.080 willing to entertain

00:43:55.300 and examine

00:43:55.900 when the time comes.

00:43:58.320 That's not a yes.

00:44:01.720 Yeah, you know,

00:44:02.380 I think we should

00:44:03.380 endorse when we get to it.

00:44:05.480 But I believe

00:44:06.480 that the president

00:44:06.980 has been doing

00:44:07.360 a very good job

00:44:08.260 so far.

00:44:09.240 And, you know,

00:44:10.560 should he run again?

00:44:11.740 I think that I,

00:44:13.120 you know,

00:44:13.460 I think it's,

00:44:14.100 it's,

00:44:15.160 we'll take a look at it.

00:44:16.680 But right now,

00:44:17.440 we need to focus

00:44:18.020 on winning a majority

00:44:18.860 instead of a presidential election.

00:44:21.660 Well,

00:44:22.040 that is quite an endorsement.

00:44:23.860 I mean, look,

00:44:24.160 he's doing a great job.

00:44:25.100 And if he runs again,

00:44:26.780 we'll,

00:44:27.540 we'll take a look at it.

00:44:30.060 If he runs,

00:44:30.920 we will look at,

00:44:31.820 we'll look,

00:44:32.540 you know,

00:44:32.780 if he runs,

00:44:33.260 we'll look at him running

00:44:33.940 because that would

00:44:34.340 actually be really,

00:44:35.140 if he was running,

00:44:36.060 that'd be fascinating

00:44:36.620 to see him run.

00:44:39.120 Because I didn't even know

00:44:40.140 he could physically

00:44:40.600 do that anymore.

00:44:41.320 So if he's running,

00:44:41.940 I'll definitely take a look.

00:44:43.200 If someone,

00:44:43.740 if Joe Biden was running,

00:44:44.660 let me know

00:44:45.000 and I'll run down there

00:44:46.200 to see him running.

00:44:48.240 So yeah,

00:44:48.880 for sure.

00:44:51.020 She was very,

00:44:52.240 she was,

00:44:52.660 you know,

00:44:53.000 she's not the smartest,

00:44:53.800 smartest person in the world

00:44:57.020 and not the quickest

00:44:58.240 on her feet.

00:44:58.980 So she's trying

00:45:01.200 to find a way around.

00:45:02.480 What she didn't want to say

00:45:03.840 was I'd be happy

00:45:04.820 if he ran again.

00:45:05.720 He should run again.

00:45:07.840 He's doing a great job,

00:45:09.140 but I'm not going to say

00:45:09.820 that I actually want him

00:45:10.480 to run again.

00:45:11.820 And of course they don't.

00:45:14.100 They know that this is,

00:45:15.520 that there's,

00:45:15.860 there's just no way.

00:45:17.500 Even the Democrats know that.

00:45:19.660 You know,

00:45:20.240 facing reality

00:45:21.140 is not their specialty,

00:45:23.120 but even they realize

00:45:25.140 this guy is,

00:45:26.620 he's going to turn 80,

00:45:27.360 right?

00:45:27.540 He's turning 80 this year.

00:45:28.340 So 2024,

00:45:29.680 he'll be 82.

00:45:32.320 He's going to run again

00:45:33.460 and he's going to have to

00:45:34.360 tell the American people

00:45:35.400 that, yeah,

00:45:35.840 I'll be your guy

00:45:36.480 until I'm 86.

00:45:40.280 Even the Democrats know,

00:45:41.380 it just,

00:45:41.760 it can't happen.

00:45:42.660 It's not tenable.

00:45:44.920 I don't make a lot

00:45:45.820 of political predictions

00:45:46.720 because the few

00:45:47.500 that I do make

00:45:48.080 are almost always wrong,

00:45:49.520 but this is one

00:45:50.920 I've made from the beginning

00:45:51.720 and I'll,

00:45:52.140 and I will reiterate again,

00:45:53.440 there's just,

00:45:53.780 there's no way

00:45:54.340 that this guy,

00:45:55.200 he might want to run again,

00:45:56.300 but the Democrat party,

00:45:57.380 they can't allow it.

00:45:58.340 They know it.

00:45:59.320 They just can't.

00:46:00.140 It's not possible.

00:46:02.320 Especially when,

00:46:03.080 there was a report yesterday,

00:46:04.000 or this last week,

00:46:05.560 about,

00:46:06.640 all indications are

00:46:08.940 that Pope Francis

00:46:09.900 is mercifully,

00:46:12.740 thank God,

00:46:13.540 looking at retiring,

00:46:14.600 which was actually going to put,

00:46:15.760 put the Catholic church 0.97

00:46:16.500 in a really unprecedented position

00:46:18.000 of having two retired popes.

00:46:20.920 Who are now kind of like

00:46:21.840 sitting around

00:46:22.240 in a,

00:46:22.500 in a,

00:46:23.020 in their retirement home.

00:46:24.880 The makings of a really

00:46:26.160 interesting sitcom

00:46:27.100 or something.

00:46:28.900 And,

00:46:29.300 so,

00:46:30.580 that's,

00:46:31.680 he hasn't done it yet,

00:46:32.500 obviously,

00:46:32.860 you would have heard about it,

00:46:33.500 but that's,

00:46:34.420 reports suggest

00:46:35.140 that Pope Francis

00:46:35.780 probably will retire

00:46:36.600 just as Pope Benedict

00:46:38.240 retired before him.

00:46:40.020 So,

00:46:40.520 you've got popes

00:46:41.840 who are saying,

00:46:43.200 look,

00:46:43.380 I'm too old for this,

00:46:44.180 I can't,

00:46:44.560 I can't do this,

00:46:45.900 as Pope.

00:46:46.440 And yet,

00:46:49.080 we're going to have a president

00:46:49.940 who still wants to be president

00:46:51.740 in his mid-80s.

00:46:54.140 Not tenable.

00:46:54.980 Can't do it.

00:46:55.880 All right,

00:46:56.120 let's get to our

00:46:56.840 comment section.

00:46:58.360 Daily cancellations

00:46:59.680 are the law and order

00:47:00.940 of the day.

00:47:03.780 We're the sweet baby gang.

00:47:09.440 Sloth says,

00:47:10.600 well,

00:47:10.880 folks,

00:47:11.240 this is it.

00:47:11.700 He's hit a million subscribers.

00:47:13.440 Let's see that

00:47:14.120 interpretive dance,

00:47:15.580 Matt.

00:47:15.740 Well,

00:47:16.900 I did say I'd do

00:47:19.440 an interpretive dance

00:47:20.060 when we hit a million,

00:47:21.480 but right now,

00:47:22.380 we're at one point,

00:47:23.420 I think we're at 1.0,

00:47:25.980 we're like at 1.03 million,

00:47:28.060 I think.

00:47:29.800 So,

00:47:30.420 because we hit a million

00:47:31.120 over the weekend.

00:47:33.620 So,

00:47:34.100 technically,

00:47:34.820 like,

00:47:35.120 it's,

00:47:35.660 we're past that point,

00:47:37.160 technically,

00:47:38.340 because now we're at a different,

00:47:40.340 we're not at a million anymore,

00:47:41.580 is what I'm trying to say.

00:47:43.500 Also,

00:47:43.860 I never said when the dance

00:47:45.220 would happen.

00:47:45.580 I didn't say that.

00:47:46.780 So,

00:47:47.160 I'm not saying I'm not going to do it.

00:47:48.420 I'm just,

00:47:48.820 I'm just saying I never said

00:47:50.220 when I would do it.

00:47:51.740 Okay?

00:47:53.320 If I look at the bylaws

00:47:54.560 and the fine print,

00:47:55.760 I never said when.

00:47:58.120 Maybe I need to practice

00:47:59.080 for 10 years

00:47:59.700 and we do it,

00:48:00.500 you know,

00:48:01.680 maybe this is the way

00:48:02.300 we bring in the 2030s.

00:48:05.860 We'll see.

00:48:06.440 Carsonian the Great

00:48:08.560 says,

00:48:09.280 Matt,

00:48:09.700 this isn't,

00:48:10.580 Uvalde,

00:48:11.100 talking about Uvalde,

00:48:11.960 isn't the biggest law enforcement

00:48:13.140 scandal of all time.

00:48:14.140 Waco is.

00:48:15.200 That's true.

00:48:15.820 Also in Texas,

00:48:16.540 of course.

00:48:17.280 And,

00:48:17.540 you're,

00:48:19.960 certainly when you look

00:48:20.560 at the body count

00:48:21.360 and everything else

00:48:22.180 that went into it,

00:48:23.880 you're probably correct

00:48:25.400 in that.

00:48:26.420 But,

00:48:26.800 it's in the conversation.

00:48:30.280 Uvalde is.

00:48:31.760 I don't think we've seen

00:48:32.760 anything quite like it before.

00:48:34.900 And,

00:48:35.160 hopefully never again.

00:48:37.880 Fuzzy Friends says,

00:48:39.740 as a life and relationship coach,

00:48:41.420 every woman I've ever talked to

00:48:42.840 secretly confided in me

00:48:44.560 that they wanted to nest

00:48:45.820 slash nurture

00:48:46.840 and that they wished

00:48:47.700 they could be a housewife. 1.00

00:48:49.380 Unfortunately,

00:48:49.840 the employment market

00:48:50.600 is so saturated,

00:48:51.660 men no longer earn

00:48:52.520 an $80,000 per year salary

00:48:53.880 with full benefits

00:48:54.560 for their family.

00:48:55.540 It now takes two incomes

00:48:56.640 of non or low benefit

00:48:58.280 $35,000 a year jobs

00:49:00.700 to survive.

00:49:01.360 Women can't be women 1.00

00:49:02.240 anymore in today's world.

00:49:04.100 Well,

00:49:04.620 I don't want to disagree

00:49:05.480 with a life and relationship coach,

00:49:06.920 but I would,

00:49:07.480 probably not every woman 0.78

00:49:08.960 secretly wants that,

00:49:10.780 but it is true

00:49:11.560 that this is a natural desire

00:49:14.980 that lots of women have. 1.00

00:49:16.020 They want to settle down

00:49:16.760 with a man.

00:49:17.300 They want to,

00:49:17.620 you know,

00:49:17.880 they want to be,

00:49:19.240 keep up the,

00:49:21.160 they want to be a homemaker. 1.00

00:49:23.380 And,

00:49:24.080 but it's shameful.

00:49:25.860 So,

00:49:26.260 you're not allowed

00:49:26.660 to talk about that.

00:49:27.480 Just like if you're a man

00:49:28.620 and you want to have

00:49:30.080 a wife

00:49:31.720 and you want to be

00:49:32.280 the breadwinner

00:49:33.960 and you want to care

00:49:34.480 for your kids

00:49:35.140 and have that kind of

00:49:35.840 quote unquote

00:49:36.220 traditional life,

00:49:37.140 it's also,

00:49:37.700 it's considered shameful now.

00:49:39.080 So,

00:49:39.180 you're not allowed

00:49:39.520 to talk about that either.

00:49:40.480 It's another thing

00:49:41.000 that makes the dating world,

00:49:43.780 it's like reason number

00:49:44.820 one million

00:49:45.440 why I'm so glad

00:49:46.500 I'm not in the dating world anymore.

00:49:48.980 Another thing

00:49:49.340 that makes it impossible

00:49:50.400 is that people feel like

00:49:52.860 they can't even be honest

00:49:53.940 about what their goals are,

00:49:55.220 what they want out of life.

00:49:56.360 You had another reason.

00:50:01.080 Okay,

00:50:01.400 Derek says,

00:50:02.080 I have to argue a point.

00:50:05.020 You're okay going after

00:50:06.280 social media platforms.

00:50:08.060 How is that different

00:50:08.880 from people suing

00:50:09.820 gun companies

00:50:10.580 for gun violence?

00:50:12.460 Well,

00:50:12.680 it's different because

00:50:13.200 not everything is the same.

00:50:15.620 I don't know how else

00:50:16.160 to put it.

00:50:16.680 Not all things are analogous.

00:50:19.020 Some things are different

00:50:19.720 from other things.

00:50:21.480 So,

00:50:22.080 a gun

00:50:23.300 is not the same thing

00:50:24.400 as a social media platform.

00:50:25.380 It's just like two

00:50:26.120 entirely different

00:50:27.240 categories of things

00:50:29.140 is how I would explain it.

00:50:32.700 Also,

00:50:33.280 when we talk about guns,

00:50:34.200 we're talking about

00:50:35.220 constitutional rights

00:50:35.980 or Second Amendment rights.

00:50:39.240 So,

00:50:40.360 it's an entirely

00:50:40.960 different category.

00:50:42.580 And the other point

00:50:43.280 is that when we talk about

00:50:44.160 going after social media platforms,

00:50:46.200 the discussion last week

00:50:47.240 was about

00:50:47.740 social media platforms

00:50:48.840 and the way that they

00:50:50.180 inflict real harm

00:50:53.360 on kids

00:50:53.960 in a very intentional way.

00:50:55.860 They're marketing themselves

00:50:56.820 to young kids.

00:50:59.700 Gun manufacturers

00:51:01.040 are not marketing themselves

00:51:02.120 to 12-year-olds.

00:51:03.240 They're not allowed

00:51:03.700 to do that.

00:51:04.140 They're already not allowed

00:51:05.040 to do that.

00:51:06.680 Social media platforms are.

00:51:10.060 And

00:51:10.420 they're doing it

00:51:12.000 in a way

00:51:12.380 to hook these kids in.

00:51:15.680 And

00:51:15.960 why do they want

00:51:16.700 to harm kids?

00:51:17.240 Is it because

00:51:17.640 they're a bunch of

00:51:18.220 sinister super villains

00:51:19.500 and they want

00:51:19.940 to harm kids

00:51:20.460 just for the sake of it?

00:51:21.200 Maybe some of them do,

00:51:22.020 but mostly

00:51:22.680 it's because

00:51:23.180 it's money.

00:51:24.400 You get kids

00:51:25.080 hooked on the product,

00:51:26.680 then that's a lot

00:51:27.960 of money for you.

00:51:29.420 And when you have

00:51:30.040 generations of kids

00:51:31.100 who are hooked

00:51:31.460 on the product,

00:51:32.500 whether it's TikTok

00:51:33.160 or any other

00:51:33.660 social media platform,

00:51:34.620 that's billions

00:51:35.260 and billions of dollars.

00:51:35.880 So there's a profit

00:51:36.380 motive there.

00:51:37.440 And I think

00:51:38.280 that they,

00:51:39.760 that

00:51:40.060 that's why

00:51:42.440 we should hold them

00:51:42.900 to account.

00:51:45.960 Let's see.

00:51:46.560 GY says,

00:51:47.440 Matt,

00:51:47.900 parents screw up.

00:51:49.080 I know we did.

00:51:49.940 Hindsight being 20-20

00:51:51.160 and all that,

00:51:51.740 we thought we were

00:51:52.240 doing everything right.

00:51:53.120 We bought a limited phone

00:51:54.040 for our oldest daughter

00:51:54.940 when she was 13

00:51:55.780 because at that time

00:51:56.640 she was coming home

00:51:57.260 from school

00:51:57.680 and we would be alone

00:51:58.400 for two hours

00:51:58.940 until I came home

00:51:59.720 from picking up

00:52:00.300 my husband from work.

00:52:01.600 He's now disabled.

00:52:02.740 We wanted to have

00:52:03.240 GPS tracking

00:52:03.900 in case something bad

00:52:04.680 happened and put

00:52:05.140 very strong parental controls

00:52:06.180 to lock the internet

00:52:06.840 and everything else.

00:52:07.920 She broke through

00:52:08.520 every single restriction

00:52:09.500 we put on the phone

00:52:10.260 with help from her friends.

00:52:11.420 Her last phone

00:52:12.140 a few months ago

00:52:12.940 we canceled

00:52:13.940 because the tracking system

00:52:14.900 didn't work

00:52:15.340 and she still managed

00:52:16.020 to get around

00:52:16.540 the no internet thing

00:52:17.440 by hacking the phone

00:52:18.380 that was supposed

00:52:19.100 to not have access

00:52:19.840 to data at all.

00:52:20.740 Now she has no phone

00:52:21.680 at all and she's 16

00:52:22.500 but the damage

00:52:23.340 was already done.

00:52:24.420 First musically,

00:52:25.720 now TikTok.

00:52:26.980 Between that

00:52:27.460 and the bullying

00:52:27.960 she went through

00:52:28.540 when we finally

00:52:29.080 put her in public school 0.61

00:52:30.220 and now we have a child

00:52:31.540 who is thoroughly depressed

00:52:32.420 and questioning her gender.

00:52:33.960 Her teachers all support

00:52:34.900 her desire to be called Max.

00:52:36.720 Every well-vetted therapist

00:52:37.900 we've talked to

00:52:38.740 about CPTSD

00:52:40.940 she has from bullying

00:52:42.280 lies to our face

00:52:43.160 about supporting our views

00:52:44.080 and makes things worse.

00:52:45.040 It happened to us.

00:52:46.200 Conservative Catholics

00:52:46.760 like yourself

00:52:47.240 we did everything

00:52:47.800 we could do

00:52:49.140 and we thought

00:52:49.600 was right

00:52:50.040 but the culture

00:52:50.540 is insidious

00:52:51.100 and circumstances 0.98

00:52:51.720 can suck. 0.97

00:52:52.760 If we had known 0.99

00:52:53.480 then what we know now

00:52:54.700 this would be a totally

00:52:55.320 different story

00:52:55.860 I'm telling you now

00:52:56.520 but give us some grace here.

00:52:57.860 We don't deserve it

00:52:58.480 but we need it.

00:52:59.300 We've done everything

00:52:59.840 we can do

00:53:00.400 we're another statistic.

00:53:01.720 Well, I'm sorry

00:53:03.640 to hear all that.

00:53:04.260 I mean this is

00:53:04.540 I've heard this story

00:53:05.300 so many times

00:53:05.960 and it's always terrible

00:53:06.800 and it's terrifying

00:53:08.340 for me also

00:53:09.080 as a parent

00:53:09.980 of younger kids.

00:53:11.540 Okay, so there are

00:53:12.140 and I've fully realized

00:53:13.740 that and I've acknowledged

00:53:14.420 it I think many times

00:53:15.260 that there are challenges

00:53:18.640 to having younger kids.

00:53:19.780 The challenges change

00:53:20.680 as the kids get older

00:53:22.540 but there are certain

00:53:24.080 aspects to this

00:53:25.880 that we haven't had

00:53:26.540 to fully deal with yet.

00:53:28.620 Right now it's pretty easy

00:53:29.700 for our kids

00:53:30.120 don't have phones.

00:53:31.080 They've asked about it before

00:53:32.080 and we just say

00:53:32.780 we're not giving you a phone

00:53:33.840 and that's the end

00:53:34.700 of the discussion.

00:53:36.100 That's going to be a little bit

00:53:36.940 that's not going to be

00:53:37.760 as easy as they get older

00:53:38.700 we realize that.

00:53:40.080 So grace

00:53:40.520 giving grace to parents

00:53:41.400 I do give grace to parents.

00:53:43.860 In fact, in particular

00:53:45.020 parents of adolescent kids

00:53:47.160 and teenagers

00:53:47.860 especially as you're going through

00:53:50.280 and struggling through

00:53:51.060 when a kid comes home

00:53:52.340 from school

00:53:52.840 and says

00:53:54.760 oh, I'm a different gender now

00:53:55.780 something they picked up

00:53:56.560 this social contagion thing

00:53:57.740 that's completely different

00:53:59.320 in my mind

00:54:00.000 from the parents

00:54:02.220 that we heard

00:54:02.580 in the Fox News segment

00:54:03.540 who said

00:54:03.940 oh, my two-year-old

00:54:04.720 chose their gender.

00:54:05.540 No, that's you as a parent

00:54:06.900 doing that to your kid

00:54:07.920 if they're two

00:54:08.960 or three or four or five.

00:54:10.680 If your kid's 14 or 15

00:54:11.780 coming home from school

00:54:12.460 with this

00:54:12.860 then you could have

00:54:14.120 done everything right

00:54:14.840 or that you thought was right

00:54:16.360 trying your best

00:54:17.800 and now you have to deal

00:54:18.940 with this too.

00:54:19.380 So I totally understand that.

00:54:21.040 But the point with the phone

00:54:21.860 is you say yourself

00:54:22.520 if you'd known

00:54:23.180 if you knew then

00:54:25.240 what you know now

00:54:25.860 you would have made

00:54:26.600 different choices.

00:54:27.600 And so that's why

00:54:28.080 I'm always

00:54:29.300 hammering on this point

00:54:30.140 about the phones.

00:54:32.000 I'm not saying

00:54:32.640 it's always going to be easy

00:54:33.520 as kids get older

00:54:34.380 to stop them

00:54:35.020 from using the phones.

00:54:37.240 And if you give them

00:54:37.980 a phone with parental locks

00:54:38.960 kids are

00:54:39.460 they're like little ninjas

00:54:40.840 when it comes to that

00:54:41.480 kind of thing.

00:54:42.420 They're like little Houdinis

00:54:43.560 when it comes to

00:54:44.300 breaking around

00:54:44.980 parental controls.

00:54:47.320 And that's why

00:54:48.140 it's just

00:54:48.740 you've got to draw

00:54:49.880 for any parents

00:54:51.320 who have

00:54:51.760 not had to go through this yet

00:54:53.220 draw the line in the sand.

00:54:54.240 it's worth it

00:54:56.760 to avoid

00:54:58.520 situations like this.

00:55:00.280 So tomorrow

00:55:00.960 June 14th

00:55:01.820 it's the premiere

00:55:03.200 of The Daily Wire's

00:55:04.720 next great film

00:55:06.200 Terror on the Prairie

00:55:07.320 which I personally

00:55:08.240 have been looking forward to

00:55:09.020 as a big western fan.

00:55:10.200 You remember when

00:55:10.640 Hollywood and Disney

00:55:11.360 tried to cancel

00:55:12.200 Gina Carano

00:55:12.880 two days after

00:55:14.020 Gina was cancelled

00:55:14.720 Daily Wire announced

00:55:15.460 that she would be

00:55:16.540 starring in and producing

00:55:17.480 our next original film.

00:55:19.600 And tomorrow

00:55:20.060 June 14th

00:55:20.660 you'll see the fruit

00:55:21.260 of all that labor.

00:55:22.720 We'll be celebrating

00:55:23.300 the premiere

00:55:23.720 of her brand new film

00:55:24.620 with The Daily Wire

00:55:25.380 Terror on the Prairie.

00:55:26.440 Terror on the Prairie

00:55:26.860 is a gritty western

00:55:28.020 and Gina's

00:55:28.520 personal redemption story

00:55:29.640 shines through

00:55:30.600 in her leading role.

00:55:31.860 She doesn't pull any punches 0.65

00:55:32.700 as a frontier woman

00:55:33.780 fighting for survival

00:55:34.880 in the brutal American West.

00:55:36.680 I'm really excited

00:55:37.400 for everyone to see this film.

00:55:38.360 I'm excited to see it myself.

00:55:39.420 It's a good old fashioned

00:55:40.260 western without the wokeness 0.99

00:55:41.900 and we need more

00:55:43.020 movies like that

00:55:43.900 I think in the world.

00:55:44.820 Plus it's produced

00:55:45.280 by our friend Dallas Sonier

00:55:46.400 who brought you

00:55:46.980 Bone Tomahawk

00:55:47.940 with Kurt Russell.

00:55:48.920 So you know

00:55:49.180 it's going to be

00:55:49.540 gripping, authentic.

00:55:50.580 It's going to have

00:55:51.320 some edge to it as well.

00:55:52.520 Go to dailywire.com

00:55:53.500 slash Gina 0.97

00:55:54.060 and tune in tomorrow

00:55:54.800 at 8.30pm eastern

00:55:55.840 for the pre-show

00:55:56.740 9pm eastern

00:55:58.080 for the world premiere

00:55:58.900 of the film

00:55:59.340 and stick around

00:56:00.000 for a Q&A following the film.

00:56:01.680 Head to dailywire.com

00:56:02.680 slash Gina 0.97

00:56:03.700 right now.

00:56:04.800 Now let's get to

00:56:05.240 our daily cancellation.

00:56:10.100 You know Rolling Stone

00:56:11.180 is not exactly known

00:56:12.380 for its journalistic integrity.

00:56:14.100 This is after all

00:56:14.700 the outlet that published

00:56:15.640 a rape hoax

00:56:16.500 and once put

00:56:17.940 the Boston bomber

00:56:18.900 on its cover.

00:56:19.600 Now I wasn't expecting

00:56:21.880 exactly fair

00:56:22.800 or objective treatment

00:56:23.780 when I found out

00:56:24.460 that they had written

00:56:25.480 about my film

00:56:26.240 What is a Woman? 1.00

00:56:27.480 And it's clear

00:56:27.980 in the first sentence

00:56:28.700 of their piece

00:56:29.360 that there is no pretense

00:56:30.520 of actual journalism here.

00:56:32.260 The author of the piece

00:56:33.040 Moises Mendez

00:56:34.180 writes quote

00:56:34.780 For years

00:56:35.880 right-wing commentator

00:56:36.960 Daily Wire host

00:56:37.740 and all-around 0.98

00:56:38.340 s***y provocateur 0.98

00:56:39.400 Matt Walsh 0.95

00:56:40.060 has used his platform

00:56:40.960 to go after trans people 1.00

00:56:42.160 so it's not surprising

00:56:43.040 that this essentialist ideology

00:56:44.400 has become the centerpiece

00:56:45.700 of his new documentary

00:56:46.540 What is a Woman? 1.00

00:56:48.120 Now I take exception to this

00:56:49.040 on a number of levels.

00:56:49.860 First of all 0.78

00:56:50.260 I am not a s***y provocateur. 0.68

00:56:52.700 I think I'm a pretty 0.90

00:56:53.240 decent provocateur.

00:56:54.680 Though of course

00:56:55.060 these are ideal

00:56:56.400 cultural conditions

00:56:57.320 for being a provocateur.

00:56:58.880 It's a bit of a bull market

00:57:00.220 for provoking

00:57:01.500 considering you can provoke

00:57:02.560 by simply asking people

00:57:03.880 to define words

00:57:04.720 they're using.

00:57:05.880 It'd be a lot more difficult

00:57:06.960 to be a provocateur

00:57:08.100 in a sane society.

00:57:10.500 I realize that.

00:57:13.000 That's not a challenge

00:57:13.960 I have to deal with though.

00:57:15.420 And you can't hold

00:57:15.900 that against me.

00:57:16.740 I'm just playing

00:57:17.440 the hand I was dealt here.

00:57:19.080 Anyway the real motive

00:57:20.060 behind this Rolling Stone piece

00:57:21.280 becomes immediately obvious.

00:57:22.720 The outlet

00:57:23.060 would seem to be

00:57:24.680 at first

00:57:25.500 sort of breaking ranks

00:57:26.900 with their corporate

00:57:27.700 media counterparts

00:57:28.520 by actually acknowledging

00:57:29.920 that my film exists

00:57:30.920 even if only

00:57:31.700 to dump on it.

00:57:33.420 So why take this risk?

00:57:34.920 Why risk

00:57:35.520 giving me more publicity?

00:57:37.920 Part of the reason

00:57:38.640 is that nobody reads

00:57:39.400 Rolling Stone

00:57:39.880 or even knows

00:57:40.440 that it still exists

00:57:41.140 so the publicity factor

00:57:42.260 is negligible.

00:57:42.980 I'm sure that was

00:57:43.360 that sort of factored

00:57:44.200 into their decision.

00:57:45.920 The other reason

00:57:46.440 is that they want to

00:57:47.360 pressure social media

00:57:48.420 platforms to ban me.

00:57:50.520 Going back to the article

00:57:51.200 it says

00:57:51.460 now the Daily Wire

00:57:53.020 has bought ads

00:57:54.120 on major social media

00:57:55.160 platforms like TikTok,

00:57:56.480 Facebook, and Instagram

00:57:57.160 to promote the film

00:57:58.120 and so far

00:57:58.820 even though the documentary

00:57:59.580 seems to violate

00:58:00.520 TikTok and Meta's

00:58:01.620 policies against hate speech

00:58:03.340 though the platforms

00:58:04.420 prohibit dehumanizing

00:58:05.540 mocking and or hateful speech

00:58:07.140 about transgender people

00:58:08.240 the ads have been

00:58:09.400 allowed to stay.

00:58:11.100 Okay so this film

00:58:12.000 is hate speech.

00:58:13.160 It dehumanizes

00:58:14.440 and mocks.

00:58:15.680 Don't just take

00:58:16.380 Rolling Stone's word for it.

00:58:17.420 They also spoke to GLAAD

00:58:18.620 the gay activist organization

00:58:21.500 and GLAAD agrees.

00:58:22.840 Quote

00:58:22.960 National LGBTQ organization

00:58:25.340 GLAAD

00:58:25.900 feels that it's contradictory

00:58:27.000 for these platforms

00:58:27.820 to allow these sorts of ads

00:58:29.060 especially during a time

00:58:30.040 when they claim to be

00:58:30.780 uplifting and highlighting

00:58:31.800 queer content. 0.89

00:58:33.620 Quote

00:58:33.820 Social media companies

00:58:34.680 are in the midst

00:58:35.420 of honoring Pride Month

00:58:36.540 by loudly sharing

00:58:37.560 how they support

00:58:38.240 LGBTQ people

00:58:39.520 while simultaneously

00:58:40.640 profiting off of ads

00:58:41.940 for a video project

00:58:43.020 that is built off of lies

00:58:44.280 and misinformation

00:58:44.840 about our community.

00:58:46.840 These platforms

00:58:47.680 can and must do more

00:58:49.000 to take action

00:58:49.820 and enforce their own rules

00:58:51.100 regarding content

00:58:51.860 that violates

00:58:52.900 their own standards

00:58:53.640 of accuracy and safety.

00:58:54.960 Oh, it's unsafe content

00:58:57.380 remember.

00:58:58.060 Red flag.

00:58:59.640 This is quite a rap sheet

00:59:00.880 they've compiled

00:59:01.600 for my film.

00:59:02.800 The movie is hateful

00:59:03.700 dehumanizing 0.96

00:59:05.020 built off of lies

00:59:07.080 and misinformation.

00:59:08.620 It's so bad

00:59:09.620 that we shouldn't be allowed

00:59:11.060 to advertise it

00:59:12.120 on any major

00:59:12.880 social media platform.

00:59:14.640 The writer Moises

00:59:15.260 must have

00:59:16.220 you know

00:59:16.420 must have really

00:59:17.020 watched the movie closely

00:59:18.500 and thought long

00:59:19.300 and hard about it

00:59:20.120 before arriving

00:59:21.160 at these

00:59:21.660 damning conclusions.

00:59:23.780 I mean 0.98

00:59:23.940 these are some serious

00:59:24.820 indictments.

00:59:26.300 I can't imagine

00:59:27.440 the research

00:59:28.340 that Moises

00:59:28.960 must have poured

00:59:29.700 into this.

00:59:31.200 His editors also

00:59:31.980 must have sat down

00:59:33.140 and really watched

00:59:33.840 the film carefully

00:59:34.740 and you know

00:59:36.020 if they're going to

00:59:36.740 publish something like this

00:59:37.720 they sat down

00:59:38.360 they watched it

00:59:39.180 did a lot of research

00:59:41.920 I assume.

00:59:43.540 Well, maybe not.

00:59:44.920 See, we sent screeners

00:59:46.380 to Rolling Stone

00:59:47.040 because we thought

00:59:47.780 they might be interested

00:59:48.560 in writing about the film.

00:59:49.960 Turns out they were.

00:59:50.880 You know, they were interested

00:59:51.640 in writing about it.

00:59:52.560 But our mistake

00:59:53.220 was in thinking

00:59:53.760 that they might want

00:59:54.460 to watch the film

00:59:55.560 before writing about it.

00:59:58.960 Though Moises Mendez

01:00:00.380 and his editor

01:00:01.000 Elizabeth Garber Paul

01:00:02.040 apparently didn't realize this

01:00:03.340 we can actually see

01:00:04.520 how much of the film

01:00:06.060 was viewed

01:00:06.560 on each individual screener

01:00:07.920 that we send out

01:00:08.680 which means that

01:00:09.900 we can see

01:00:10.620 clear as day

01:00:11.520 that the editor

01:00:12.960 Elizabeth Garber Paul

01:00:14.340 she watched a whole

01:00:15.900 11% of the movie

01:00:17.440 before publishing

01:00:18.140 this piece.

01:00:19.660 And the author

01:00:20.220 I mean the guy

01:00:20.720 who actually wrote

01:00:21.400 this searing indictment

01:00:22.600 of what is a woman 0.95

01:00:23.160 calling it

01:00:23.600 transphobic

01:00:24.260 hateful 0.99

01:00:25.040 misinformation

01:00:25.580 etc.

01:00:26.360 He watched

01:00:27.100 exactly 0%

01:00:28.860 of the movie.

01:00:30.220 We can see that

01:00:31.040 you see it right there

01:00:31.580 0%.

01:00:32.420 He didn't watch

01:00:34.160 one second of it

01:00:35.280 before offering

01:00:35.960 his review

01:00:36.480 of the work.

01:00:38.040 Moises Mendez

01:00:38.620 he's like a food critic

01:00:39.600 who walks by a restaurant

01:00:40.900 doesn't even go in

01:00:42.540 glances through the window

01:00:43.620 and then writes

01:00:44.900 a detailed review

01:00:45.820 panning the food.

01:00:48.140 Now you might think

01:00:48.660 that Rolling Stone

01:00:49.260 was aware

01:00:49.820 that we would know

01:00:50.700 they didn't watch

01:00:51.300 the film before reviewing

01:00:52.180 it and that perhaps

01:00:53.200 they just didn't care.

01:00:54.700 Maybe they were

01:00:55.420 defiantly flaunting

01:00:57.220 their own

01:00:57.740 closed mindedness.

01:00:59.520 But that theory

01:00:59.980 is contradicted

01:01:00.500 by the fact

01:01:00.980 that Moises

01:01:01.440 locked down

01:01:02.140 his Twitter account

01:01:02.780 within three minutes

01:01:03.600 of me publishing

01:01:04.140 the screenshot

01:01:04.720 showing that

01:01:05.360 he didn't watch

01:01:06.080 the movie.

01:01:07.140 Rolling Stone

01:01:07.680 soon followed suit

01:01:08.460 by putting the article

01:01:09.240 behind their paywall.

01:01:10.940 They clearly weren't

01:01:11.660 planning on getting

01:01:12.540 called out

01:01:13.160 and didn't think

01:01:14.180 they would be.

01:01:15.820 That's a theme

01:01:16.680 consistent with what

01:01:17.400 you find in the movie

01:01:18.080 itself if you were

01:01:19.100 to actually watch it.

01:01:20.640 People on the left

01:01:21.600 aren't prepared

01:01:22.440 to be held accountable

01:01:23.300 and that's

01:01:24.960 somewhat understandable

01:01:26.580 to be fair.

01:01:27.300 In their privilege bubble

01:01:28.360 there is no accountability.

01:01:30.960 They're not familiar

01:01:31.940 with the concept.

01:01:33.160 They don't know

01:01:33.960 how to react

01:01:34.520 when it happens.

01:01:36.580 Now I'm not naive.

01:01:38.240 I know that nobody

01:01:39.040 at Rolling Stone

01:01:39.720 is engaging

01:01:40.420 in any self-reflection

01:01:41.500 today.

01:01:42.800 I'm sure Moises Mendes

01:01:43.780 did not even take

01:01:44.600 a second to pause

01:01:45.500 and ask himself

01:01:46.040 wait am I nothing 0.84

01:01:47.180 but a half-witted 0.54

01:01:47.900 propagandist?

01:01:48.640 Is that what I've become?

01:01:50.880 He's not thinking

01:01:51.620 about that.

01:01:52.640 Instead he's no doubt

01:01:53.460 hiding behind his

01:01:54.180 locked account

01:01:54.800 crying that all the

01:01:56.120 scary right-wingers

01:01:57.600 are being mean to him.

01:01:59.520 Yet even if we cannot

01:02:00.640 get these people

01:02:01.240 to ever look in the mirror

01:02:02.280 and see themselves

01:02:03.840 for who and what

01:02:04.560 they are

01:02:04.980 we can at least

01:02:07.420 see them more clearly.

01:02:09.840 And we can know

01:02:10.840 that they must never

01:02:11.660 be taken seriously.

01:02:13.400 Nothing they say

01:02:14.280 means anything.

01:02:15.600 They are not interested

01:02:16.900 in truth or accuracy

01:02:18.300 or anything related

01:02:19.540 to it.

01:02:21.580 So we shouldn't

01:02:22.800 be interested

01:02:23.280 in anything

01:02:23.780 that they ever say

01:02:24.700 about anything.

01:02:27.300 Instead we should say

01:02:28.080 to Moises Mendes

01:02:29.060 and all the

01:02:29.840 Moises Mendes

01:02:30.620 of the world

01:02:31.300 you are all

01:02:32.860 cancelled.

01:02:34.600 And we'll leave it

01:02:35.300 there for today.
