00:01:48.880 It also means that you may not have heard about the controversy surrounding prominent sports commentator
00:01:53.200 and former NFL star Shannon Sharp.
00:01:55.800 Shannon has, as of yesterday, stepped away from his role on ESPN just a few days
00:02:00.020 after a $50 million lawsuit was filed alleging sexual assault.
00:02:04.040 Now, the allegations are coming from an OnlyFans model named, model in quotes,
00:02:10.540 named Gabby, who also apparently goes by Carly, but we'll just call her Gabby.
00:02:15.340 Shannon has stridently denied any wrongdoing and claimed that his relationship with Gabby was entirely consensual.
00:02:20.660 But things took a turn earlier in the week when a phone call was released.
00:02:25.040 And in the call, you can hear Shannon threatening to choke this woman, Gabby.
00:02:30.800 Listen.
00:02:31.340 Well, I'm not really interested in getting choked, so I guess we're going.
00:02:44.540 Yeah, I might choke you in public.
00:02:54.840 Big black guy choked small white woman.
00:02:57.140 It's not a good look, Shannon.
00:03:06.880 Not a good look that you did what you did to me.
00:03:10.600 Okay.
00:03:11.480 Now, Gabby is obviously recording the call.
00:03:14.960 We don't know what was said earlier on the call or before the call was made.
00:03:19.180 She was clearly recording it for a reason.
00:03:20.820 But even so, telling a woman that you're going to choke her is very bad.
00:03:26.340 There's no context that makes that okay.
00:03:29.380 It does not, however, prove that he's guilty of rape.
00:03:31.600 Now, there is apparently some kind of video, a sex tape, that Shannon's legal team has alluded to a few times.
00:03:38.080 They claim that Gabby is using this video to blackmail Shannon and that it's been taken out of context,
00:03:42.680 possibly edited to make the sexual encounter look non-consensual when it is, in fact,
00:03:46.600 they say consensual, and attempting to get ahead of this, his team also released a collection of extremely graphic text messages
00:03:54.060 sent by Gabby to Shannon over the course of several months.
00:03:59.020 And, you know, I can't read any of them to you.
00:04:01.780 Even if I could read them, I still wouldn't.
00:04:03.740 They're very sexual.
00:04:04.700 They are very graphic in nature.
00:04:06.700 Gabby repeatedly says that she wants to be abused, wants to be choked,
00:04:10.340 and she wants to have other things, unspeakable things done to her.
00:04:16.140 Some of these texts were sent after the alleged rape occurred.
00:04:22.000 I think she alleged two incidents, and this was after one of them.
00:04:26.780 Now, Shannon claims that, you know, if he did, in fact, rape this woman,
00:04:30.840 then she wouldn't be sending him graphic texts weeks and months after the fact,
00:04:35.520 saying, among other things, that she wants Shannon to put a, quote, big black baby in her.
00:04:42.780 So, what's the truth here?
00:04:45.320 Did Shannon Sharp rape this woman?
00:04:47.420 I have absolutely no idea.
00:04:49.760 If I had to guess, if I was just guessing, I'd say probably not.
00:04:55.500 I mean, assuming that the texts are legitimate,
00:04:57.860 it's hard to believe that a woman who was actually the victim of a violent rape
00:05:01.360 would be texting her rapist and begging for him to come back and violate her again.
00:05:07.820 Although, it wouldn't shock me all that much if he was evil enough to do that awful thing,
00:05:11.620 and if she was twisted enough to start sexting with her rapist.
00:05:15.040 So, I have no idea.
00:05:16.260 Now, you know, I cannot personally reach a verdict on this allegation,
00:05:20.220 and that's not my job to, so that's the good news.
00:05:22.940 All I know is that whatever happened, it was weird and bad and gross,
00:05:27.980 and I wish I didn't know about it, but I do, and now so do you.
00:05:33.460 Now, this whole thing, of course, was very avoidable.
00:05:37.640 You know, false accusations can happen, and they're always terrible,
00:05:40.700 assuming that these accusations are false, which they may or may not be.
00:05:43.980 But the fact is that, you know, a great many, not all, but a great many,
00:05:49.420 false accusations and questionable accusations could have been very easily avoided.
00:05:55.500 And here's how you avoid them.
00:05:59.600 Get married to one woman.
00:06:02.740 Stay married to that woman.
00:06:05.880 Have zero sexual encounters outside of your marriage.
00:06:09.640 In fact, don't even spend time alone in the same room as any woman who is not your wife or a family member.
00:06:15.780 When it comes to women of low character, such as one that you would find on OnlyFans, for example,
00:06:21.340 don't have any interaction with them at all.
00:06:24.040 Don't speak to them.
00:06:26.120 Don't befriend them.
00:06:27.620 Don't text them.
00:06:28.720 Don't call them.
00:06:30.240 Don't have them in your life in any capacity, period, at all.
00:06:34.940 And, you know, it's not hard to put these boundaries up.
00:06:37.440 These are the boundaries that I live within, that many married men live within.
00:06:41.220 It has not intruded on my life or even caused the slightest inconvenience ever.
00:06:46.480 However, it's very easy for a grown man to not get mixed up with the Gabby's of the world.
00:06:53.020 It's very easy to put yourself in a situation where Gabby could simply never credibly accuse you of anything.
00:06:58.920 Of course, anyone can accuse you of anything, but you'll have a much easier time clearing your name
00:07:03.980 if you can point out that you've never interacted with this person in any capacity at any point in your entire life.
00:07:10.800 Now, Shannon Sharpe's story, though gross and embarrassing, is in a way helpful because it demonstrates two things.
00:07:21.740 And first of all, it reveals that there is a risk of staying single.
00:07:26.940 You know, we often hear about the risks of marriage, the risks like you can end up divorced,
00:07:31.340 you can lose half your stuff, you can lose custody of your children, if you're the man anyway.
00:07:38.080 And all of that can happen, of course.
00:07:40.280 I mean, there are lots of things you can do to greatly reduce your risk of winding up in that position,
00:07:44.940 but it does happen, we all know that.
00:07:48.040 And the fear of that result is what leads some men to avoid marriage entirely.
00:07:52.440 But as Shannon Sharpe and many other men have demonstrated,
00:07:55.180 the other option is not without very significant dangers.
00:07:58.640 I mean, unless you plan to be single and also celibate for your whole life,
00:08:02.920 then you'll be getting involved with a succession of women you don't know
00:08:06.640 and who don't love you or necessarily even care about you in the slightest.
00:08:11.160 And that will make you very vulnerable and susceptible.
00:08:13.720 And same goes for the woman, of course, on the other side.
00:08:16.920 There's vulnerability and susceptibility and dangers of a different kind
00:08:21.160 that perhaps if the allegations are true, you know, this woman fell victim to.
00:08:26.560 But either way, you know, this is the point, that there are,
00:08:31.040 we talk about the dangers of getting married, dangers for men, dangers for women.
00:08:36.720 Many, many dangers, you know, involved in not getting married.
00:08:41.120 Second, Shannon has shown us how pitiful and sad, you know, this kind of lifestyle is.
00:08:46.640 Even if he isn't a rapist, even if he isn't, he's still a pathetic, ridiculous man.
00:08:56.260 I mean, Shannon Sharpe is 56 years old.
00:08:58.720 This woman would have been, I guess, about 20 when this relationship, if you can call it that, started.
00:09:03.900 So this is a 56-year-old man, you know, hooking up, at best, with a 20-year-old OnlyFans prostitute.
00:09:13.160 This is a man who, at his age, you know, should be sitting at his house with his wife,
00:09:20.260 watching his grandchildren play, maybe having a beer with his adult son.
00:09:24.800 But instead, he's wrapped up in an embarrassing, disgraceful public feud with a 20-year-old girl.
00:09:32.320 He should be reading his grandchildren a bedtime story.
00:09:35.060 Instead, he's reading us his sex messages with a chick from OnlyFans.
00:09:39.900 And now he's been disgraced and his career is destroyed.
00:09:42.880 And when he dies, he'll be remembered mostly for this.
00:09:47.420 Not for anything he did before it.
00:09:48.920 And whether he's guilty or not, he brought all of that on himself.
00:09:56.800 And that is why he is today canceled.
00:10:00.180 1776 was not the beginning.
00:10:02.680 It was the breaking point.
00:10:03.800 The American Revolution was born from 150 years of colonial experience, tensions, and transformation.
00:10:09.320 Let's understand what really led to independence.
00:10:11.060 Hillsdale College offers a free miniseries on colonial America that tells the full story.
00:10:15.380 Hillsdale College has created a fascinating six-part documentary series where their professors
00:10:19.400 explore their religious, political, cultural, and economic ideas that shaped America's unique
00:10:24.000 character during the colonial period.
00:10:25.880 You'll discover why the idea of liberty, especially religious liberty, drove settlers to risk everything
00:10:30.220 crossing the Atlantic.
00:10:31.420 How early Americans built local governments to rule and protect themselves.
00:10:35.420 And why America became a place where virtue could lead to peace and prosperity.
00:10:39.760 While most of us know the Declaration of Independence as the birth of our nation, this course digs deeper
00:10:44.420 into something even more fundamental, the forging of the American character that made the revolution
00:10:49.020 possible in the first place.
00:10:50.480 And why reclaiming that character matters more than ever today.
00:10:53.500 Best of all, this miniseries is completely free and easy to access.
00:10:57.400 And if you're interested in learning more, Hillsdale offers over 40 other free online courses
00:11:02.280 on everything from C.S. Lewis and the Book of Genesis to the rise and fall of the Roman Republic,
00:11:06.300 plus in-depth courses on the American founding and constitution, all at no cost.
00:11:10.200 Right now, go to hillsdale.edu slash walsh to enroll.
00:11:13.980 That's no cost.
00:11:15.180 And it's easy to get started.

00:11:20.060 Hillsdale.edu slash walsh.
00:11:22.360 Olympic gymnast Simone Biles is a very gifted athlete, and she's also a bad person.
00:11:28.500 This is not the first time that we've seen those two qualities combined in a person.
00:11:32.460 LeBron James, another example, plenty of examples.
00:11:34.500 But Simone Biles is an especially egregious case.
00:11:37.680 The last time we heard from her, she was celebrating the first all-black podium at the Paris Olympics last year.
00:11:43.640 After black gymnasts took home the gold, silver, and bronze, Simone bragged about the fact that it was a podium without any white people.
00:11:49.500 So that was enough to tell us that, if we didn't already know, that she's a leftist clown.
00:11:54.240 And three years before that, she infamously quit on her team in the middle of the Tokyo Olympics, citing her need to work on her mental health.
00:12:00.480 And that was enough to tell us that she's a coward.
00:12:02.360 Finally this week, she put it all together, mixing her cowardice with her leftism and sprinkling a little bit of a mean girl nastiness on top.
00:12:10.100 Simone posted the following on X.
00:12:12.120 Now to be clear, this was not a response to anything Riley Gaines had said to her.
00:12:41.520 This was a totally random, unprovoked attack.
00:12:44.560 And she followed it up three minutes later with this.
00:12:47.720 Bully someone your own size, which would ironically be a male.
00:12:51.980 Now, the great thing about this little jab is that it actually acknowledges the physical advantages that men have over women.
00:12:58.900 It's also intensely hypocritical, as this bit of body shaming is coming from a woman who spent the last 10 years promoting body positivity.
00:13:07.320 Here she is taking part in the Beauty is No Competition campaign.
00:13:11.920 You can see the inspirational poster right there.
00:13:15.000 And here she is talking about her own experiences being body shamed.
00:13:18.500 Listen.
00:13:19.320 The question I wish people would stop asking me is, how tall are you?
00:13:24.500 Are you going to grow?
00:13:25.200 I'm not going anywhere.
00:13:27.780 I'm 4'8".
00:13:28.420 I'm stuck.
00:13:30.340 I'm Simone Biles and I love my body.
00:13:36.380 Because it helps with gymnastics and it teaches younger girls to love their bodies as well.
00:13:41.840 I think I've learned to love my muscles a lot more than when I was younger.
00:13:45.820 I got made fun of for my arms a lot.
00:13:47.960 Some people would say, like, mean things.
00:13:50.140 They used to call me, like, a soldier.
00:13:52.200 At the time, it didn't make me feel the best, so I wore sweaters or jackets all year long.
00:13:57.560 Now I show off my arms all the time.
00:13:59.880 To me, healthy body image is when you feel confident with yourself in and out.
00:14:06.660 So not only was Simone Biles body shamed, but she was shamed specifically for having a masculine physique.
00:14:12.300 And now she's lobbing that exact same insult at a woman who never said a critical thing about her.
00:14:17.120 But I think we know why she's treating Riley this way.
00:14:19.400 In fact, Simone Biles has a theory about what motivates people like Simone Biles.
00:14:24.740 To body shamers?
00:14:26.800 Let me see.
00:14:28.120 I feel like if you love your body, then that's all you can do.
00:14:31.860 So it doesn't matter what anybody else says.
00:14:34.180 So I think they have to learn to fall in love with themselves.
00:14:37.480 And I think it's out of jealousy.
00:14:40.580 Jealousy.
00:14:41.060 Yeah, that could be it.
00:14:41.660 Or perhaps she doesn't have access to a mirror, so she's not aware that she looks like this.
00:14:45.920 Yes, that could be a factor.
00:14:48.600 And for her part, you know, Riley did not respond in kind.
00:14:51.800 She did not come back and say something like, hey, Simone, don't go making fun of anyone's physique when you're built like Muggsy Bogues.
00:14:59.280 Riley did not say that.
00:15:00.880 And thank God, because that would be mean.
00:15:02.540 And I wouldn't condone it if she had said that.
00:15:04.800 I wouldn't say anything like that.
00:15:06.040 Instead, Riley left the insults to the side and addressed the issue at hand.
00:15:11.220 Watch.
00:15:12.500 Yesterday, Simone Biles, the Olympic gymnast, the best of the best bar none.
00:15:16.400 There is no one else even remotely in her league in women's gymnastics.
00:15:20.240 I guess in an attempt to be inclusive and virtuous, decided to sell out all women and girls who have dreams to achieve and to succeed and to specifically personally attack and body shame me.
00:15:33.160 She tweeted this out of the blue, like this came out of nowhere.
00:15:36.080 And she said, Riley, me, you're truly sick.
00:15:38.540 All of this campaigning because you lost a race.
00:15:40.860 First of all, if she's insinuating I lost to a man, I've lost several races in my career.
00:15:45.580 Duh, that's part of being an athlete.
00:15:46.900 But if she's saying I lost to a man, that's factually incorrect.
00:15:51.080 We tied.
00:15:51.920 Besides the point.
00:15:52.540 Straight up sore loser, you should be uplifting the trans community and perhaps finding a way to make sports inclusive or creating a new avenue where trans feel safe in sports.
00:16:03.340 Let me get something straight.
00:16:04.760 It's my job.
00:16:05.580 It's the women's job.
00:16:06.660 This is what Simone Biles is saying.
00:16:08.040 It's the women's job to find a way for the men's feelings to be validated, for their identity to be affirmed.
00:16:17.000 That's not my job, actually, at all.
00:16:19.460 So to say I should be doing this is insane.
00:16:22.540 If she wants to use her platform to uplift men and women's sports, then by all means.
00:16:28.240 But it's certainly not my job, and I don't believe it's the job of any woman to do this.
00:16:33.980 Now, she's exactly right, of course.
00:16:35.440 Simone doesn't even have the courage to advocate for her own position.
00:16:39.320 I mean, if she believes that there should be a separate category for trans people in all sports or there should be some other kind of inclusive arrangement worked out, she is free to champion that cause.
00:16:48.540 Instead, Simone Biles remains silent on the whole issue until this very moment.
00:16:53.980 And when she finally speaks out, it's to condemn someone else for not promoting her own point of view.
00:17:00.440 Simone says that Riley should uplift the trans community.
00:17:03.920 But why is that Riley's job exactly?
00:17:05.540 I mean, if Simone thinks that the community should be uplifted, she could do that herself.
00:17:11.720 Simone is clearly on the pro-trans team, but too afraid to enter the arena, which isn't a surprise, obviously.
00:17:17.180 This woman is not a very reliable teammate, as we've seen.
00:17:19.980 So it's difficult, therefore, to respond to Simone's argument when she hasn't really made any argument.
00:17:25.180 Instead, she assigned arguments to Riley that she thinks Riley should make.
00:17:28.880 But if we were to overlook that complication and offer a rebuttal anyway, we might note a few problems with Simone's position or what appears to be, what we assume is her position.
00:17:41.240 First of all, a separate trans category in every sport, as Simone suggests, could only work if there were enough trans athletes in every sport to fill out their own league.
00:17:50.660 But the pro-trans side will be the first to insist that there aren't that many trans athletes.
00:17:54.660 In fact, they claim that there are hardly any at all.
00:17:58.000 They're lying.
00:17:58.740 I mean, there are a significant number of trans-identified athletes in certain sports, but definitely not enough to make a trans league for every sport.
00:18:06.680 And there's even less interest in watching or supporting a league like that.
00:18:11.500 Now, sure, maybe a certain amount of morbid curiosity would attract respectable ratings for opening day of the TLB, Trans League Baseball.
00:18:20.780 Or maybe we could just call it T-Ball, which would work in more ways than one.
00:18:23.880 But in any case, there wouldn't be that many repeat customers after everyone gets their fill of the train wreck on day one.
00:18:30.360 Yet all of that is irrelevant.
00:18:32.600 You know, we don't need to create a separate category for trans-identified people, and we shouldn't.
00:18:37.320 That would be an attempt to solve a problem that does not exist.
00:18:40.700 There is no problem with the system of sex segregation in sports.
00:18:44.520 It works perfectly fine.
00:18:45.600 It worked for many decades without anybody complaining about it.
00:18:47.700 It serves a clear purpose by separating groups of people who are biologically distinct.
00:18:54.420 Simone is suggesting a separate category for people who are not biologically distinct from males, because they are males, but who feel like they're biologically distinct.
00:19:03.020 That makes as much sense as having a peewee soccer league for five- and six-year-olds, and then a separate league for people who feel like they're five or six.
00:19:12.500 You cannot build a sports league around self-perception, and there's no reason to try.
00:19:18.680 We don't need to devise some novel system to include trans-identified athletes.
00:19:22.620 They're already included.
00:19:23.780 They're free to compete in their biological category, same as anybody else.
00:19:28.380 The problem is that, despite Simone's insistence, they don't actually want inclusion.
00:19:32.360 They want privilege, and they can't have it.
00:19:36.060 Tough luck.
00:19:37.540 This conversation always comes back to the same fact, which is that men and women are women.
00:19:43.880 Men who feel like women are still men.
00:19:46.060 Men who claim to be women are still men.
00:19:48.000 What a man feels like or perceives himself to be is not our problem.
00:19:54.620 He can go on feeling however he wants to feel, but our policies and laws should reflect reality, not perception.
00:20:05.200 This is the point that Simone Biles can't contend with, or refuses to, just like she refused to contend in the Tokyo Olympics.
00:20:11.860 And she made that choice to quit for the sake of her mental health, which she wanted to preserve.
00:20:19.800 But her tweets over the weekend show that her mental health preservation methods apparently didn't work.
00:20:25.280 But perhaps her issue was less a matter of mental health and more an issue of intellectual deficiency, whatever the reason.
00:20:30.680 She's completely and embarrassingly wrong, and she is also, today, canceled.
00:20:36.300 I have something difficult that I need to talk about today.
00:20:39.600 This is going to be upsetting to hear, just like it's upsetting for me to discuss.
00:20:44.540 But here it goes.
00:20:45.660 According to reports this week, the NFL is going to remove the words,
00:20:49.320 end racism, from the end zone during the Super Bowl this Sunday.
00:20:54.660 And I know that sounds so shocking that you think it can't be real, but it is.
00:21:00.940 Here's the Daily Wire quote.
00:21:02.140 The NFL has reportedly sent the word to remove the messaging,
00:21:05.980 end racism, from the end zone for the Super Bowl in New Orleans on Sunday.
00:21:10.020 It'll be the first time since February 2021 that the message, end racism, has not appeared in a Super Bowl end zone.
00:21:16.560 According to multiple sources, when the Kansas City Chiefs and Philadelphia Eagles take the field at Caesar Superdome,
00:21:22.200 the messaging in the end zones will read, it takes all of us and choose love.
00:21:27.080 Quote, we felt it was an appropriate statement for what the country has collectively endured,
00:21:30.900 given recent tragedies and can serve as an inspiration, according to NFL spokesperson Brian McCarthy.
00:21:36.700 Now, I don't even know where to begin.
00:21:40.200 All I can say is that, obviously, I'm very opposed to this move.
00:21:44.440 Not just opposed, but I'm anxious, I'm worried, terrified.
00:21:48.680 Because how are we supposed to know what to do about racism now?
00:21:54.180 You know, there's some people that are celebrating this announcement because they're saying,
00:21:56.980 well, this means that racism is over.
00:21:59.040 Racism is done.
00:22:00.500 The NFL ended racism by putting end racism in the end zone.
00:22:03.960 And so now we can all move on.
00:22:06.580 And look, sure, there's no doubt that the end racism message did end racism.
00:22:13.580 I'm not disputing that.
00:22:14.860 I know just from my own life, prior to that message being spray painted in the end zone,
00:22:19.940 I myself was racist.
00:22:21.480 But then I saw end racism on the field during a football game.
00:22:25.080 And I said, oh, wait, we're supposed to be not racist?
00:22:31.000 My God, I had no idea.
00:22:32.980 And from that day forward, I was transformed.
00:22:34.720 I was born anew.
00:22:35.940 I stopped going to Klan meetings.
00:22:37.560 And I started volunteering at after school programs for disabled minorities.
00:22:41.300 And I'm sure that this is the same thing that happened for so many millions of people out there.
00:22:45.040 But here's the problem.
00:22:46.500 We ended racism.
00:22:47.700 We created a post-racism utopian society, or I should say the NFL did.
00:22:53.980 That message, end racism, was the glue holding our new paradise together.
00:22:59.860 And now they're taking that slogan off the field.
00:23:01.880 What then?
00:23:03.320 What if everybody starts doing racism again?
00:23:06.740 How are we supposed to know if we should keep racism ended or if we should start it up once more?
00:23:11.280 Is that what the NFL is saying?
00:23:12.560 We should start racisming again?
00:23:14.180 Like, people are going to watch the Super Bowl, and they're going to say, wait a minute, it doesn't say end racism.
00:23:19.200 I guess we need to start doing the racisms again.
00:23:21.440 And who's to tell them that they shouldn't?
00:23:24.440 Now, sure, there will be a new message.
00:23:25.820 The NFL says it's going to put the words, it takes all of us on, you know, and they're going to put that on the field.
00:23:30.420 That's not good enough.
00:23:32.060 I mean, what takes all of us?
00:23:34.160 Racism?
00:23:35.760 Super Bowl viewers are going to think that it's a rallying cry to join together and be racist again.
00:23:40.820 You know, the other message, choose love, doesn't help much.
00:23:45.960 Who are we supposed to love?
00:23:47.860 Who shouldn't we love?
00:23:50.000 What if somebody loves Hitler?
00:23:51.860 What then?
00:23:53.320 Like, think about it.
00:23:54.900 We need to be more specific.
00:23:56.040 It should at least say, choose love.
00:23:59.760 But just to be clear, that doesn't mean Hitler.
00:24:02.920 And there's more than enough.
00:24:04.020 It's a football field.
00:24:04.960 You could write that whole message on there.
00:24:06.380 No problem.
00:24:06.880 So they could give us a lot more information.
00:24:09.840 They could give us a lot more guidance, but they aren't.
00:24:12.840 And that's inexcusable.
00:24:14.280 And now I'm lost.
00:24:15.660 And think about the message that this sends to kids or doesn't send more specifically.
00:24:20.400 Just last night, this is true.
00:24:22.060 You know, my son heard about this news and he came up to me and he said,
00:24:26.640 Father, does this mean that we should do racism again?
00:24:31.000 And I didn't know how to respond.
00:24:33.540 The truth is that I'm just as confused as he is.
00:24:35.420 And I said to him, I don't know, my son.
00:24:38.400 I just don't know.
00:24:40.800 And he paused for a moment and his eyes got misty and he looked at me and said, I'm scared.
00:24:45.400 And I said, I am too.
00:24:47.540 And then my son started crying.
00:24:49.940 And so did I.
00:24:51.740 And we wept.
00:24:54.060 We wept for hours.
00:24:55.640 This is what the NFL has done.
00:24:57.860 Now, the point is that we are lost without moral instruction delivered to us
00:25:01.660 via slogans painted on football fields.
00:25:03.920 Now, in general, of course, I have always looked to professional sports leagues, athletes,
00:25:08.400 sports commentators for guidance and direction like any American.
00:25:11.760 I never form any opinion on anything without first consulting NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell,
00:25:16.300 all the SportsCenter anchors and LeBron James's Twitter feed.
00:25:19.900 Professional sports leagues have over the past 10 years, especially position themselves as our teachers,
00:25:25.520 our surrogate father figures, really.
00:25:27.000 And I've always been very happy with this arrangement.
00:25:31.460 It makes a ton of sense to me, because after all, if a guy knows how to throw a ball into a hoop
00:25:35.140 or run down, run with a ball down a field really fast,
00:25:39.460 it stands to reason that he also has deep insight into the most important questions of life.
00:25:45.420 You know, I think I think one two follows from one.
00:25:48.400 They're pretty logically.
00:25:49.700 Every time I see a basketball player hit a three-pointer, I think to myself,
00:25:53.360 wow, he must be a great philosopher.
00:25:55.960 And every time I see a football player make an open field tackle, I think,
00:25:58.500 geez, that guy must have great moral intuition.
00:26:01.440 And I realize I'm not saying anything that you don't already know.
00:26:04.160 This is what we all think when we watch sports.
00:26:06.000 But the NFL is now abandoning its post.
00:26:07.980 It's hanging us all out to dry.
00:26:10.700 Racism is about to make a major comeback in this country.
00:26:13.040 Millions of people are going to tune into the Super Bowl,
00:26:17.120 see that the words end racism have been removed,
00:26:19.480 and then immediately run out and commit hate crimes.
00:26:24.080 And I will, too.
00:26:26.600 I'm going to go commit hate crimes.
00:26:28.980 I don't know what else to do.
00:26:32.320 We're all now like lost sheep, wandering alone through the pastures
00:26:35.880 without our great shepherd, the NFL, there to show us the way.
00:26:38.940 I feel so alone now and so scared and also so, so racist.
00:26:47.000 All because of the NFL.
00:26:48.500 And that is why the NFL is today canceled.
