00:00:00.000 So without further ado, ladies and gentlemen, I bring to you, Matt Walsh.
00:00:24.960 Thank you.
00:00:27.360 Thank you.
00:00:28.120 Don't do that.
00:00:30.160 Don't give me a standing ovation before I say anything.
00:00:32.980 You set the bar way too high.
00:00:34.180 I can only disappoint you now.
00:00:36.620 Thank you all for being here.
00:00:37.620 Thank you to the American Principles Project for inviting me to be a part of this very special
00:00:40.960 night.
00:00:41.660 The timing of this event is, of course, quite fortuitous.
00:00:45.920 Just yesterday, I was at the rally outside the Supreme Court as the court heard arguments
00:00:50.380 in a case that stems from the law we passed in Tennessee banning, quote, unquote, gender
00:00:55.880 transitions for minors.
00:00:57.280 And this fits well with the subject that I was asked to speak about tonight, which is
00:01:03.920 the fight to protect children in our culture.
00:01:06.460 How do we protect children in this culture?
00:01:09.080 Well, as far as I see it, to protect our kids, we first have to identify the threats.
00:01:14.360 What are the threats we're dealing with?
00:01:17.320 And I'd like to speak about tonight the two great threats, or two of the greatest, that
00:01:24.420 children face.
00:01:25.880 These are also the two issues that I have personally focused on the most and devoted much of my
00:01:30.380 life to.
00:01:30.780 And just as a side note, you know, I recently released a film called Am I Racist?
00:01:36.700 That is...
00:01:37.420 Thank you.
00:01:37.800 It wasn't just me fishing for applause.
00:01:41.920 A little bit, it was.
00:01:42.980 But I haven't gotten used to the fact that, you know, that movie was a comedy.
00:01:48.100 And a lot of people discover me for the first time from that movie.
00:01:51.540 And so they know me for comedy.
00:01:53.360 And they expect everything I do now to be riotously funny.
00:01:57.240 And so I was talking to a guy at the meet and greet.
00:01:59.320 And he said, big fan, love the movie.
00:02:01.840 Can't wait for this speech.
00:02:02.900 I know it's going to be hilarious.
00:02:05.520 And I'm looking down at my speech now.
00:02:06.960 I'm like, that guy is going to be so disappointed.
00:02:11.260 Protecting children.
00:02:11.960 Not exactly a laugh a minute, but catch my stand-up set tomorrow at the Chuckles down
00:02:17.100 the street, or whatever it is.
00:02:19.360 So the first big threat, of course, is trans ideology.
00:02:22.620 And that brings us back to yesterday at the Supreme Court.
00:02:26.040 It was an interesting and quite revealing dynamic, because outside in the cold, those of us on
00:02:31.340 Team Sanity were rallying together.
00:02:34.280 But, of course, Team Insanity also showed up.
00:02:37.900 And they showed up in much greater numbers, if I'm being totally honest.
00:02:42.560 You know, the pro-trans side, there were more of them.
00:02:45.440 And they were louder.
00:02:46.960 They set up their rally stage right next to ours and hoping to drown us out.
00:02:52.280 They came with bullhorns and megaphones and blaring loud music and screaming in our faces
00:02:58.420 while we were trying to speak.
00:02:59.540 Now, unfortunately for the trans activists, as a father of six, I'm quite accustomed to
00:03:05.260 speaking while deranged people scream at me.
00:03:09.280 So you've got to work harder than that to throw me off.
00:03:12.440 But admittedly, they did succeed in making things kind of difficult for us.
00:03:16.520 And they did accomplish their goal of being really obnoxious and annoying.
00:03:21.580 The left is very good at that.
00:03:23.140 They're very good at it.
00:03:24.140 That's their specialty.
00:03:25.060 In the field of being loud and obnoxious, we are amateurs.
00:03:29.160 This is their professionals.
00:03:31.220 And that was very obvious yesterday.
00:03:33.420 However, inside the court, it was a very different story.
00:03:37.560 You know, the problem for the trans activists is that you can't bring your megaphone into the courthouse.
00:03:44.220 When Justice Thomas is saying something you don't like, you can't blare a Cardi B song to drown him out.
00:03:51.160 Each side gets a chance to speak.
00:03:52.960 Each side is asked questions.
00:03:54.420 Each side is interrogated.
00:03:55.900 You have to live or die on the strength of your arguments.
00:03:58.580 Anyone who's listened to some of the audio from inside the court yesterday knows that the trans activists very much died, metaphorically speaking.
00:04:05.380 Their whole case fell apart in dramatic fashion.
00:04:09.000 It was ripped open and exposed for the utterly vacuous garbage bag of nonsense that it is.
00:04:15.760 And this is how it goes for the left.
00:04:17.200 They can scream and shout and sabotage and frustrate.
00:04:19.680 But when our ideas are put up against their ideas in a forum where both sides have a chance to be heard and get a fair hearing, they lose.
00:04:29.960 They lose every single time.
00:04:32.320 And that's why they're so desperate to make sure that they can control all the forums so that their ideas and arguments never have to speak for themselves.
00:04:41.380 It's why they're still in a state of panic over Elon Musk owning Twitter.
00:04:44.940 Because we're given a chance to speak and be heard, and when that happens, we win, and they know it.
00:04:52.700 Now, of course, the trans activists have many different ways of trying to shut down ideas they can't intellectually contend with.
00:05:00.260 Along with screaming at us through bullhorns and censoring us on social media platforms, they also make use of threats and blackmail and intimidation.
00:05:08.680 Like many other people who've been in this fight against gender ideology for years, I have firsthand experience with this.
00:05:14.940 I've been speaking out against the madness of gender ideology for close to a decade.
00:05:19.680 But I hadn't really experienced the full ire of the trans activists until the year 2022.
00:05:24.680 And that was the year that we released our film, What is a Woman?, which exposed gender ideology.
00:05:29.880 Thank you.
00:05:34.920 Exposed it and its proponents by asking very simple questions, including the titular question, which is the simplest of all.
00:05:41.020 A few months after the release of the film, I published my investigation into the Vanderbilt Gender Clinic in Tennessee, which revealed that they had been chemically castrating minors and that they were doing it by their own admission because it was a, quote, big moneymaker.
00:05:53.460 Now, I've never said this publicly, but I will admit tonight that because I don't think this is being live streamed, is it?
00:06:01.520 Let's hope it's not.
00:06:04.220 Before we released our Vanderbilt investigation, the night before, I started to get cold feet.
00:06:09.220 And I almost didn't post it.
00:06:13.160 I almost didn't publish it because I knew that it was really explosive.
00:06:17.880 And I knew that our investigation would probably lead to the clinic getting shut down, which is good.
00:06:23.480 But Vanderbilt is a very powerful organization.
00:06:25.460 They have a lot of money.
00:06:26.000 And I knew that trans activists are vicious and deranged and will do anything to punish and destroy those who they deem to be a threat.
00:06:35.260 So I started to become very worried about the potential ramifications to my family.
00:06:40.940 I thought that maybe this isn't smart.
00:06:43.040 Maybe it's not.
00:06:43.500 Maybe it's a reckless thing for me to put myself into the middle of something like that.
00:06:47.020 Maybe now is not the right time.
00:06:48.340 Maybe we should hold off and think about this a little bit.
00:06:50.940 Just give it some time.
00:06:52.180 We don't have to do it right now.
00:06:53.040 Let's just think about it.
00:06:53.920 And I talked to my wife that night and I told her that, you know, about the hesitations that I'm having and that I'm expecting some really serious blowback.
00:07:05.120 And I said I wouldn't take the risk unless she's on board with it.
00:07:08.140 And I don't remember her exact words back to me, but paraphrasing, she said something like, don't be a wimp, just publish it, sack up, you wuss.
00:07:19.140 Not her exact words, but that's what I heard.
00:07:21.180 That was the message.
00:07:23.920 So we published it.
00:07:27.440 And sure enough, the gender clinic was shut down almost immediately.
00:07:30.880 The investigation then served as a catalyst for a law banning all medical gender transitions for minors.
00:07:37.000 And that's the law that's now made its way to the Supreme Court.
00:07:39.980 Let's talk about something that affects all of us, taxes.
00:07:46.200 The October 15th deadline has passed.
00:07:47.960 And if you're not prepared, you could be in for a world of hurt.
00:07:51.060 Do you owe back taxes?
00:07:52.040 Are your returns still unfiled?
00:07:53.880 Did you miss the deadline to file for an extension?
00:07:56.300 Now that we're past October 15th, the IRS is probably gearing up for some aggressive enforcement.
00:08:01.040 And trust me, you don't want to be on their radar.
00:08:03.480 We're talking wage garnishments, frozen bank accounts, or even property seizures.
00:08:07.560 It's not pretty, folks.
00:08:08.360 But before you start panicking, there's still hope.

00:08:47.740 So it had the positive effect that we hoped for, but it also had the negative effect that we anticipated but did not hope for.
00:08:59.740 Over the year that followed, I was, along with my family, doxed, harassed, threatened.
00:09:05.480 I had to pick up my family and move to a new home because they were showing up to our house in the middle of the night.
00:09:12.220 People showing up, taking pictures of my children when they're playing outside in the front yard.
00:09:15.920 I was hacked.
00:09:17.940 All of my personal information was exposed, demonetized on YouTube.
00:09:22.880 We lost millions of dollars in advertising dollars, smeared in the media, defamed relentlessly.
00:09:27.640 Wah, wah, wah, the whole story.
00:09:29.960 All the bad things did, in fact, happen and in many ways worse than I thought it would be.
00:09:35.140 And I would do it all again in a heartbeat.
00:09:39.000 It was all worth it.
00:09:41.180 Every bit of it.
00:09:45.700 The thing that I was worried about a couple of years ago and that I've worried about many times before and since is the safety of my wife and kids.
00:09:52.180 I care about other people's kids.
00:09:54.120 I care the most about my own kids and I'm responsible for them as their dad.
00:09:58.660 But what's propelled me into this fight and kept me in it and kept me going and compelled me to take certain risks is precisely this, that I'm a dad and I want to protect my kids.
00:10:08.060 Trans ideology is an unprecedented threat to children, not just children in general, but like my children, your children.
00:10:16.560 If this hideous evil is not defeated, if it's allowed to grow and gain more power and influence in the culture, no child is safe.
00:10:24.660 No child is immune.
00:10:25.720 We've all heard the horror stories from parents whose kids fell prey to the trans cult.
00:10:32.300 Seeing your child's mind and soul claimed by the delusion is like watching him die a thousand deaths.
00:10:40.020 It's an unspeakable horror.
00:10:41.480 And the only way to make absolutely sure that this never happens to my kids is to burn the whole ideology to the ground, to destroy it, to rip it up by the roots.
00:10:55.720 And throw it into the fire.
00:10:57.360 It's the only way to be sure.
00:11:00.360 As a father, I know this is the surest way to protect my kids.
00:11:04.620 And that's why I joined this cause and I won't be done until the job is done.
00:11:08.240 I believe that trans ideology is a unique evil and the danger it poses to our children is likewise unique.
00:11:15.440 Now, why is that?
00:11:16.140 Why is trans ideology so uniquely dangerous?
00:11:19.000 The answer seems obvious.
00:11:20.420 This is a movement that wants to perform sick Frankenstein medical experiments on our children.
00:11:24.160 It wants to turn our kids into lab rats.
00:11:27.000 It wants to castrate, sterilize, mutilate them.
00:11:29.760 And it's done exactly that to untold numbers of innocent children.
00:11:33.540 That's what makes it so especially dangerous and wicked.
00:11:35.880 But that doesn't tell the full story.
00:11:37.560 You know, the medical abuse is a symptom of the underlying sickness.
00:11:41.420 It is an outcrop.
00:11:42.320 It is the visible thing that we can see on the surface.
00:11:45.320 Underneath all of that, what makes trans ideology so insidious is that it is a complete and total rejection of truth.
00:11:51.880 Now, not just a rejection of one particular thing that is true, but a rejection of truth itself, truth as a category.
00:12:00.920 A society that embraces trans ideology is a society that declares itself God over itself.
00:12:07.260 It claims the right and power to define reality on its own terms.
00:12:11.500 And there are consequences to this.
00:12:13.100 There are serious consequences.
00:12:14.520 Many terrible things follow from a collective flight from reality.
00:12:18.560 And the consequences are more and more dire the more deeply the untruth burrows into the mind and into the culture.
00:12:24.340 And the truth at the core, the untruth rather, at the core of gender ideology, reaches down to the deepest conceivable level.
00:12:32.080 Because it wages its assault against our knowledge of ourselves.
00:12:38.180 You know, a person fully enthralled to this lunacy has lost grip not just on reality in general, but on the reality of himself.
00:12:47.200 Transgenderism doesn't simply replace one notion of the self with some other newer notion.
00:12:53.140 Rather, it replaces one notion of the self with no notion at all.
00:12:57.120 This is the whole reason why the gender ideologues can't answer the what is a woman question.
00:13:02.620 It's because there is no answer for them.
00:13:04.920 It doesn't mean anything to be a woman.
00:13:06.180 It doesn't mean anything to be a man.
00:13:07.220 It doesn't mean anything to be anybody.
00:13:09.460 Your very identity has no meaning, and therefore has no value, has no purpose.
00:13:15.620 And that's because the gender ideologue seeks to replace what is definable and knowable with a hazy, indecipherable mess of contradictions and falsehoods.
00:13:25.520 He replaces light with darkness and soon gets lost in it himself and will probably eventually succumb to despair.
00:13:33.620 And that's because a person cannot live in such a state.
00:13:36.300 A person can't live in a state of self-rejection.
00:13:40.860 They certainly cannot thrive or be happy in that sort of state.
00:13:44.800 So this is the great danger of transgenderism.
00:13:50.120 But there is an even greater danger, one that has destroyed the lives of many more children and destroyed them in a much more direct and final kind of way.
00:14:01.080 And that brings us to the other great threat, one that's never been very popular to talk about, probably less popular now than it's been before.
00:14:07.340 And that is abortion.
00:14:14.560 Now, abortion is still the defining issue of our time.
00:14:22.080 And it is still the wall that separates one side of the political divide from the other.
00:14:29.660 It's a wall that is built with the bodies of 60 million dead babies.
00:14:33.780 Over 60 million babies have been killed through abortion.
00:14:39.220 And so anytime I hear anybody, especially anybody on the right, tell me that, well, this issue is not that important.
00:14:44.820 Really?
00:14:45.240 What's more important than 60 million?
00:14:47.960 Can you point to something that has a bigger, greater death toll than that?
00:14:50.900 You can't.
00:14:53.080 Not one single genocide in the whole history of the world.
00:14:55.560 Not one single plague.
00:14:58.860 Not anything.
00:14:59.620 The death toll is staggering, greater than anything the world's ever seen.
00:15:04.980 These victims, these children, have been killed legally by human hands in a little building in your local shopping mall that you drive by on your way to work or to run errands.
00:15:15.760 And they've been killed at the behest of their own parents with the help of so-called doctors facilitated by the government.
00:15:26.640 Every kind of person that children are supposed to rely on to protect them, all of those people have turned against them to destroy them.
00:15:34.700 The most innocent of all people are children, and they're the precise ones that have been targeted for extermination.
00:15:42.680 They've harmed no one.
00:15:44.800 They're filled with joy and potential and love.
00:15:48.260 If we can't see the value and worth of a child, then who can we see it in?
00:15:53.140 You know, I remain confounded by the sorts of people who would look at an unborn child and see only a clump of cells.
00:16:04.920 Clump of cells?
00:16:07.100 I mean, we're all clumps of cells.
00:16:09.980 If you go to Walmart sometime, you'll see many people who are far clumpier than your average infant.
00:16:16.580 I'm just kidding.
00:16:17.220 I like Walmart.
00:16:19.840 I'm also kind of clumpy these days.
00:16:21.340 But can you really not see the miracle in this life?
00:16:28.380 Can you really not see the beauty of this life that you call a clump of cells?
00:16:34.780 Can you really not see the tragedy in destroying it?
00:16:38.380 And it's a tragedy that is compounded threefold, because with abortion, we not only reject our children, but we reject ourselves.
00:16:45.500 You know, we have to remember the miraculous thing about conception, that moment when a new life comes into being.
00:16:50.000 What is so mystical and beautiful about it is that when you think about it, it's not just one life being created, but three.
00:16:57.500 There is the child, a precious, vulnerable new life, plucked by God out of eternity and sent here to begin its earthly existence.
00:17:05.560 Then there's the woman who goes from being a woman to being a mother.
00:17:10.920 She herself is created in this moment.
00:17:13.160 It is a moment of becoming.
00:17:15.520 She becomes something.
00:17:16.820 She is born alongside her child.
00:17:19.880 And the same is true of the man.
00:17:21.100 He goes from being just a man to being a father.
00:17:24.440 As a father myself, I can attest to the transformative nature of this moment of parenthood.
00:17:29.780 I look back at myself before I had kids.
00:17:31.640 I don't even recognize that person.
00:17:33.760 I don't know who that person was.
00:17:34.700 It was a different person.
00:17:35.480 It was me, but it was me before I became what I was meant to be.
00:17:41.100 It was me before I knew why I was here.
00:17:44.540 That was all prologue.
00:17:46.840 You know, that wasn't even the story.
00:17:49.000 You've probably seen these big wireless carrier commercials everywhere, right?
00:17:52.100 Or the ones promising a free iPhone.
00:17:53.900 But let's take a closer look at what free really means in a fine print.
00:17:57.900 To qualify for that free phone, you'll need to trade in your current device.
00:18:01.600 And not just any device, but one worth about $1,000.
00:18:03.920 Then you've got to sign up for their premium unlimited plan at $100 monthly.
00:18:09.300 And don't forget that sneaky $35 activation fee they talk on.
00:18:13.900 Some free deal, huh?
00:18:15.280 Well, it's starting to look pretty expensive for something that's supposed to cost nothing.
00:18:18.960 That's where Pure Talk, my cell phone company, comes in with a genuinely better option.
00:18:23.600 Here's the deal.
00:18:24.120 You can get a brand new iPhone 14.
00:18:26.280 And yes, it has all the bells and whistles that you actually need.
00:18:28.700 Plus, unlimited talk, unlimited text, a generous 15 gigs of data,
00:18:32.500 and mobile hotspot capability.
00:18:35.240 Total cost, just $50 a month.
00:18:37.600 Think about that for a second.
00:18:38.700 You're getting everything you need for half the price of what the big carriers charge.
00:18:42.780 And here's the best part.
00:18:43.500 You'll be running on America's most dependable 5G network,
00:18:46.220 so you're not sacrificing quality for savings.
00:18:49.080 Here's what you got to do.
00:18:49.820 Head over to puretalk.com slash walsh today.
00:18:52.180 Making the switch is surprisingly easy, and when you use that specific web address,
00:18:56.400 you get an additional 50% off your first month.
00:18:59.040 That's puretalk.com slash walsh.
00:19:00.680 Pure Talk, America's wireless company.
00:19:03.660 But the reality is that while three lives are created at conception,
00:19:06.940 only one is killed through abortion.
00:19:09.500 The child is gone from the earth forever, never to be seen again in this world.
00:19:14.840 The mother and father are still who they became.
00:19:17.720 Despite what they're told, they don't go back to being just a woman and a man.
00:19:20.580 You can't reverse the clock.
00:19:22.220 You can't go back on it.
00:19:25.220 She's still a mother.
00:19:26.500 He is still a father.
00:19:27.600 They are still parents, but now they are the parents of a dead child.
00:19:32.520 Now, there is no way to get around the fundamental fact
00:19:34.920 that the pro-abortion movement wishes to deny,
00:19:37.040 which is the humanity of the unborn, the personhood of the unborn.
00:19:40.760 The pro-abortion advocate will try to say that the child's not a person
00:19:44.860 because he's still developing and, you know,
00:19:46.600 he's entirely dependent on his mother for survival.
00:19:49.080 And this means he'll say that the baby lacks some kind of moral standing.
00:19:56.420 But, and it's always funny hearing that kind of argument
00:20:00.020 from a lot of people who themselves are still reliant on their parents
00:20:02.720 living in their parents' basement, but very late-stage fetuses,
00:20:07.780 as they would put it.
00:20:11.260 But, you know, this view that personhood is acquired by degree
00:20:14.260 and that it's forfeit if you're dependent on someone else for survival
00:20:17.560 clearly implicates more than just the unborn.
00:20:20.280 It would seem that the sick, the infirm, the disabled, the elderly,
00:20:22.980 all get caught up in this depersoning net.
00:20:27.000 By this line of reasoning, all of these people have,
00:20:29.240 at a minimum, slightly less personhood.
00:20:32.280 If personhood is on a spectrum, if it's contingent,
00:20:35.060 then by this logic we have depersoned many categories of persons,
00:20:39.100 which is a feature, not a bug, of pro-abortion logic.
00:20:43.480 You know, they intend to whittle away at both ends of life,
00:20:45.880 the young and the old,
00:20:47.120 unpersoning one subset after another
00:20:49.280 until the right to life has been extinguished
00:20:51.400 for all but the privileged few.
00:20:53.060 The only other option, aside from personhood being attained by degree
00:20:58.700 contingent upon other factors like self-sufficiency,
00:21:01.220 is that personhood and its attending moral rights and dignities
00:21:05.260 is inherent to all living humans.
00:21:09.540 And if something is inherent,
00:21:11.020 that means it belongs to the essential nature of a thing.
00:21:14.480 The idea that our human dignity, our personhood,
00:21:17.380 belongs to our essential nature and cannot be lost or diminished
00:21:20.540 is an idea that lies at the very foundation of this country,
00:21:24.360 at the foundation of any notion of human rights.
00:21:27.120 You cannot have human rights
00:21:28.480 if you don't first have it built upon the idea
00:21:31.940 that human beings have inherent dignity.
00:21:36.120 Now, and this is an idea, by the way,
00:21:40.920 that everybody in America pretends to believe most of the time.
00:21:47.020 There's not a single person in America you could ever talk to
00:21:49.380 who would, or very few anyway,
00:21:52.100 who would reject the notion of human rights.
00:21:55.120 They all accept it.
00:21:56.360 Well, guess what?
00:21:56.780 Human rights, that's a doctrine.
00:21:58.120 That's not science.
00:21:58.920 That's not something we found in a science book.
00:22:01.460 That's a doctrine.
00:22:02.020 That's a religious doctrine, human rights.
00:22:06.160 And part of that doctrine
00:22:07.760 all stems from this idea about the value of a human.
00:22:12.560 And if you're taking value away from human beings,
00:22:15.580 from one set of human beings,
00:22:17.240 you're taking it away from everybody.
00:22:18.380 If an unborn baby does not have inherent value,
00:22:21.520 then human value is not permanent, is not essential.
00:22:25.060 And thus, if he does not have inherent value,
00:22:27.500 then neither do you.
00:22:29.360 You cannot gain inherent value.
00:22:32.380 You either have it from the first moment of existence,
00:22:35.160 or you never do ever.
00:22:38.460 Those are the only options that make any sense.
00:22:41.220 Now, the personhood argument for abortion
00:22:45.620 is actually even worse than it sounds at first.
00:22:47.120 It's so bad that even if it were true,
00:22:48.660 it would do almost nothing to prove the pro-abortion case.
00:22:51.660 Because the personhood argument for abortion
00:22:53.240 is a syllogism with a missing premise.
00:22:55.200 It seems to go like this.
00:22:56.180 Premise one,
00:22:57.280 an unborn baby is not a person.
00:22:59.120 It's merely a potential person.
00:23:02.580 Conclusion,
00:23:04.000 therefore we can kill him.
00:23:05.180 Now, wait a second.
00:23:08.220 Two does not follow logically from one.
00:23:11.340 You're missing something.
00:23:12.160 You skipped a step.
00:23:14.060 Just because someone isn't a person
00:23:15.580 doesn't necessarily mean that it's okay to kill them.
00:23:18.840 Since what is that the rule?
00:23:19.900 Anything that isn't a person can be killed?
00:23:21.660 That's a whole separate case you need to make.
00:23:25.360 That's a whole other premise you have to establish.
00:23:27.680 So even if I conceded the point,
00:23:29.240 even if I let you make the first logical leap
00:23:31.500 to say the unborn child is not a person
00:23:33.480 but a potential person,
00:23:34.600 you still have an even bigger leap you have to make.
00:23:37.340 And I'm not going to spot you that one,
00:23:39.040 so now you're out on an island.
00:23:41.620 You need to now prove that it's okay
00:23:43.160 to kill the potential person.
00:23:45.560 And I don't see how you make that case
00:23:46.900 because if I agree it's a potential person
00:23:49.000 for the sake of argument,
00:23:49.840 it would seem to me to be
00:23:51.940 the most valuable non-person thing on the planet.
00:23:57.380 It would seem to be then at worst
00:23:59.420 the second most valuable thing next to a person.
00:24:03.720 And I don't see why it would be okay
00:24:05.020 to kill the second best thing.
00:24:08.440 It would still be more valuable than say a sea turtle egg
00:24:11.400 and sea turtle eggs are federally protected.
00:24:15.380 Now to be clear, again,
00:24:16.640 I don't even for a moment buy the idea
00:24:18.460 that an unborn person is just a potential person.
00:24:20.360 I reject it outright on scientific,
00:24:22.480 moral, scriptural, and logical grounds.
00:24:25.620 I'm just trying to establish
00:24:26.640 that the argument doesn't even work on its own premise.
00:24:31.280 This is the truth that cannot be escaped.
00:24:33.160 Abortion is the intentional destruction
00:24:34.660 of innocent human life,
00:24:35.800 and intentionally destroying innocent human life
00:24:37.760 is always wrong, period.
00:24:39.740 That is our case as pro-lifers.
00:24:42.120 It's as simple as that.
00:24:48.840 Now, tragically, recently,
00:24:53.020 a contingent of people
00:24:54.180 who are supposed to be on our side
00:24:55.640 have abandoned this simple truth.
00:24:59.680 Indeed, it's one of the most shameful
00:25:01.020 and twisted ironies I've ever seen.
00:25:02.640 Pro-lifers won the greatest human rights victory
00:25:05.660 of all time with the overturning of Roe v. Wade.
00:25:09.760 But rather than some conservatives
00:25:11.740 being emboldened by our historic achievement,
00:25:15.460 rather than celebrating,
00:25:16.780 rather than acting confident and triumphant,
00:25:19.920 rather than saying,
00:25:20.620 let's pile on now like the left does.
00:25:22.700 We got this huge win,
00:25:23.700 let's go get another one.
00:25:25.720 Oh, you guys are crying now,
00:25:26.700 we'll give you something to really cry about next.
00:25:28.320 That's what the left does.
00:25:30.520 Instead, some conservatives
00:25:32.080 have over the past many months
00:25:33.640 in the last couple of years
00:25:34.460 become very shy about this issue.
00:25:36.940 Very shy.
00:25:39.280 Even blaming pro-lifers
00:25:40.780 for some of the electoral defeats
00:25:42.260 in recent elections.
00:25:43.780 They claim this last election
00:25:45.100 was going to be the greatest defeat of all time
00:25:47.380 largely because of pro-lifers.
00:25:50.260 They were scapegoating pro-lifers ahead of time.
00:25:54.200 Well, how did that turn out?
00:25:56.520 In fact, it turns out
00:25:57.400 Trump gained ground with women
00:25:59.540 who were supposed to be the demographic
00:26:01.040 that was going to rally against him
00:26:02.580 to get revenge for Roe
00:26:04.120 didn't happen.
00:26:07.580 But even if it had turned out that way,
00:26:10.620 it wouldn't change my view on the topic.
00:26:14.020 It wouldn't change how I talk about it.
00:26:17.500 I would not compromise on abortion
00:26:19.480 even if it really did mean
00:26:21.000 losing every election from now
00:26:22.780 till kingdom come.
00:26:23.620 And the reason is simple.
00:26:31.980 It is that to accept child murder
00:26:33.640 is to forfeit your soul.
00:26:35.380 If we are really a country
00:26:36.760 where child murder is so fundamentally popular
00:26:39.040 that it's impossible to win by opposing it,
00:26:42.380 then we're not a country worth saving anymore.
00:26:43.940 We deserve at that point
00:26:47.840 whatever destruction comes our way.
00:26:51.740 God will strike us down for our sins
00:26:53.260 and I couldn't stand in the way of that
00:26:54.560 if I wanted to
00:26:55.280 and I don't want to.
00:26:57.500 I'll never accept abortion.
00:26:58.900 I'll never compromise on it.
00:27:00.080 I won't give up any ground,
00:27:01.000 not one inch, nothing.
00:27:02.280 All abortion is wrong, always.
00:27:04.100 It's never okay to kill an innocent human being
00:27:06.080 ever under any circumstance, ever.
00:27:07.900 It is always our obligation
00:27:09.580 to protect the innocent,
00:27:10.620 especially our children.
00:27:12.320 There are no exceptions,
00:27:14.140 none, period, ever.
00:27:19.160 But finally, the good news.
00:27:23.420 The good news is that
00:27:24.900 the whole premise is flawed.
00:27:28.220 We don't have to give up every election
00:27:30.220 until kingdom come,
00:27:31.400 as we just discovered.
00:27:33.160 The pro-life message can win in this country.
00:27:35.760 It is winning,
00:27:38.240 but only if we have the courage to fight for it
00:27:40.900 and the intelligence to fight well.
00:27:43.720 The pro-life message
00:27:44.700 has already won in so many ways
00:27:47.620 on so many battlefields,
00:27:48.940 just like the anti-trans ideology message has won
00:27:52.420 and is winning.
00:27:54.460 We are winning on both fronts
00:27:56.380 after so many years
00:27:57.800 and so many sacrifices
00:27:59.220 and so much put on the line
00:28:01.620 by so many people.
00:28:02.780 People in this fight way longer than me,
00:28:06.220 before I was even born,
00:28:07.380 there have been people
00:28:07.840 for decades and decades
00:28:09.320 giving everything to this.
00:28:11.860 And they're winning.
00:28:12.980 We are winning.
00:28:13.800 Winning is our destiny
00:28:14.940 because the truth always prevails in the end.
00:28:18.580 Always.
00:28:23.460 If you're a Christian,
00:28:24.620 you have an advantage
00:28:25.480 because you have the book
00:28:26.720 and you can skip to the spoilers
00:28:29.340 at the end of the book
00:28:30.420 and you can see how it ends.
00:28:32.320 And so we know that we win.
00:28:34.080 We stand in the truth
00:28:35.180 when no one else will
00:28:36.440 for that reason.
00:28:37.880 We speak for those who cannot speak.
00:28:40.100 We say what must be said
00:28:41.540 and we do what must be done.
00:28:44.380 And if we continue to do that
00:28:45.680 without fear or compromise,
00:28:47.440 eventually the day will come
00:28:48.940 when every child is free to be born
00:28:51.720 and to live
00:28:52.760 and to be safe
00:28:53.680 and to be innocent
00:28:54.880 as they should be.
00:28:56.180 Now, I see that day
00:28:58.280 in the future.
00:28:59.780 It's approaching.
00:29:01.540 But we're not there yet.
00:29:03.600 And so for now,
00:29:05.160 we fight.
00:29:07.680 Thank you.
