The Matt Walsh Show - The Battle of the Libs： Samantha Lux vs Professor Dave

00:00:00.000 One of the best parts of my job is not only seeing leftists get triggered by everyday things like

00:00:05.040 men and women's restrooms, but every now and then I get to be the object of this outrage

00:00:09.560 every now and again and well maybe you might say like every single day. So today I want to put the

00:00:14.820 anger of trans YouTuber Samantha Lux and Professor Dave on full display. Apparently I've said

00:00:20.900 something that they or maybe them or whatever took issue with. Let's see. What is this thing

00:00:27.360 doing? That's we don't have to worry about that. We're going to read the book now. This man has

00:00:30.920 never met a kid in his whole life, never interacted with one child. He's like, I don't give a shit. 0.99

00:00:36.040 Sit down. We're going to read the book. I'm here for the half an hour and then I got to go. So sit 0.99

00:00:39.580 down so I can film. Okay. Thank you, brat. No, I think, um, I think the problem is that you've never

00:00:46.200 been around a dad before, which maybe I would have already guessed. Um, I'm around kids all the time

00:00:50.960 because I have four of them, but so I, but I have by now developed a critical case of dad syndrome.

00:00:55.560 And that means that I'm just snapping my fingers and I'm keeping people on task. That's what I do.

00:00:59.760 I'm dad. You should see me during chore time every night in my house. You get over there,

00:01:04.520 pick up those shoes. You come over, vacuum the rug. I don't even remember anybody's names anymore.

00:01:09.520 That's another symptom of dad syndrome. But Johnny's mom's phone said it's not just pretend.

00:01:15.320 So she went on her phone and there were people telling her that this isn't pretend. He's really a

00:01:18.780 walrus. Only a bigot would say that. How dare you offend? What's a bigot? Anybody know? 0.98

00:01:24.980 Kids are, I don't even, I don't know how old these kids are. I'm not good at estimating age,

00:01:28.660 but they don't know what you're talking about. You don't see their face? Did he run this past,

00:01:33.460 like an actual children's author? And be like, read it to a kid and see what they thought before

00:01:37.360 he published it. I think he just went for it. Of course they don't know what a bigot is.

00:01:42.380 They're four. I mean, it does make sense that he would go for children because, you know,

00:01:46.020 they have the same capacity for intellectual thought as him. Like, babe, if you're going to write a

00:01:49.660 children's book, write it for children, write it using words that they understand and that they

00:01:54.280 know and that you don't have to explain for them to understand what you're trying to say through

00:01:58.400 your book. First of all, don't call me babe. Second, did I run it by an actual children's

00:02:04.620 author? Yes. I ran it by myself. And when myself came to myself and said, self, what do you think

00:02:10.240 of this children's book idea? Myself responded, self, that's an exceptional idea.

00:02:13.460 So I did get the go ahead from an expert in the field of children's literature,

00:02:17.440 if that matters to you. Now, Sam also says that, that some of these concepts are above a child's

00:02:22.340 head. Yeah, Sam, that's the point. Now you're getting it. If a silly story about a kid transitioning

00:02:29.840 into a walrus is inevitably too weird and abstract for children, then what happens if we mix sex and 0.63

00:02:35.500 gender into it? Does it suddenly become more appropriate for children? If a child, as you say,

00:02:42.380 isn't even old enough to understand what a bigot is or to hear the word, then is he old enough to

00:02:48.160 be introduced to a concept like transgenderism? If he can't understand bigots, can he understand

00:02:52.920 what it means for a boy to have a girl mystically trapped inside him? If my book is above his head,

00:02:58.540 what about a choice that will fundamentally change his life and alter him physically and biologically

00:03:02.160 forever? Is that above his head too? What do you think? Connect the dots, Sam. You can do it.

00:03:07.840 Our nation's authorities are now openly admitting to having completely missed the flashing red lights

00:03:13.620 of inflation in this administration's failed economic policy. Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen

00:03:17.820 admitted that she was wrong about the path inflation would take. She said, quote,

00:03:21.640 there have been unanticipated and large shocks to the economy that have boosted energy and food prices

00:03:26.220 and supply bottlenecks that have affected our economy badly that at the time I didn't fully understand.

00:03:31.700 Didn't fully understand, she says. Well, there you have it, straight from the horse's mouth.

00:03:34.800 Now, I know you're worried about affording basic necessities in the months to come,

00:03:38.740 food, gas, shelter, but she didn't know. It's not her fault. That's the excuse. It goes without

00:03:43.240 saying that you can't trust the so-called authorities on economic policy, which is why

00:04:25.580 All right, those were a few points. They weren't particularly decent or well thought out,

00:04:29.280 but they were points nevertheless. So let's check in with Professor Dave.

00:04:33.800 The unfortunate linguistic coincidence is that we use terms like man and woman or male and female

00:04:40.840 in describing both of these phenomena. That is where the confusion arises when people insist

00:04:47.060 that one term must encapsulate both phenomena at once. So when someone asks what is a woman expecting

00:04:54.560 to get a very simple answer that children can understand, they are sorely mistaken. The answer

00:05:00.200 requires a discussion of genetics and neurochemistry.

00:05:06.080 Well, I'm sorry you find it offensive, Dave, but yes, I do deny the concept of gender as it was conceived

00:05:12.280 by John Money. You accept that concept as gospel. You're offended that anybody disagrees with it.

00:05:18.360 That's your problem. Meanwhile, you say that the definition of the word woman is complicated,

00:05:23.120 but please note that it's complicated is not a definition. So you still haven't defined it.

00:05:30.100 I never insisted on a simple definition. I simply insist on a definition, any kind of definition,

00:05:35.760 some sort of meaning. You can give me a complicated one. That's fine. Go ahead. Try me.

00:05:39.660 Give me a complicated definition. I'm perfectly fine with that. But you must have some definition,

00:05:45.360 whereas you provide none at all. See, this is a major problem for you, Dave, and let me try to

00:05:50.380 explain why. It's a problem because, and listen closely, you are using the word. Do you see why

00:05:57.680 that's an issue? You say the word woman is complicated and apparently ambiguous and hard

00:06:03.620 to understand, yet you use it. You refer to women. You talk about women. I bet you'd even say that you

00:06:09.620 believe in women's rights. Would you say that? I bet you would. This must mean that you have some

00:06:14.820 solid, comprehensible idea of what a woman is, yet you never explain that idea. That's a very big

00:06:20.340 problem for you, Dave. You're using a word that you cannot or will not define, which means either

00:06:25.040 that you're hopelessly confused and we should dismiss you and your arguments for that reason,

00:06:28.720 or you're evasive and disingenuous and we should dismiss you and your arguments for that reason.

00:06:33.200 Either way, you and your arguments are in really bad shape right now.

00:06:36.180 Now, as promised with the indictment of conservatives complete,

00:06:39.680 I turn to liberals and the missteps they are enacting that are preventing resolution.

00:06:45.340 Number one, please stop saying things like gender is a social construct. No, it is not. It is a

00:06:52.600 biological construct. Society can't turn you trans any more than it can turn you gay. Gender is 0.93

00:06:59.860 determined biologically. His indictment of conservatives was complete without ever approaching the vicinity of

00:07:07.620 any one of our actual arguments. And then he turns to criticize liberals to prove how fair and objective

00:07:12.220 he is by slamming them for not being liberal enough. He also says that society can't turn you trans,

00:07:19.560 totally ignoring the fact that in our society currently, and only in our society, only in the West,

00:07:24.500 there has been a many-fold increase in trans identification. If that's not society turning people

00:07:28.680 trans, what is it, Dave? Now, I don't know what you'd say to that because as always, and like literally 1.00

00:07:34.240 every other gender ideologue I've ever spoken to, and I guarantee I've spoken personally to many more

00:07:39.120 people on your side than you've spoken to on my side, but like all of them, you don't attempt to

00:07:43.960 grapple with any of the logical inconsistencies of your position. But I ask again anyway, if society

00:07:48.960 can't turn you trans, why are we experiencing an unprecedented skyrocketing rise in trans identifications?

00:07:55.980 If you say that there have always been this many trans people, but they were all in the closet, 1.00

00:08:00.560 you'll then have to explain why there was never, ever, at any point, ever, a mass epidemic of people

00:08:06.620 committing suicide because they were not affirmed in their gender identity. After all, staple doctrine 0.99

00:08:11.360 on the left is that lack of affirmation is dangerous because it causes suicide. Well, then why was that

00:08:17.260 never happening back when there were millions and millions of supposed unaffirmed trans people?

00:08:23.000 Indeed, why is the suicide epidemic happening now when trans people are so affirmed? Here's my answer. 1.00

00:08:32.680 Gender ideology is a modern Western social construct that didn't exist until it was invented by 1.00

00:08:37.800 psychoanalytical quacks and then parroted mindlessly by people like you. Further, while pretending that it

00:08:43.500 affirms and nurtures people, it actually leads them into self-destruction and despair. The evidence bears

00:08:48.760 that out. The evidence is entirely on my side, in fact, and not at all on your side because on this

00:08:54.560 topic, you are wrong about nearly everything and your underlying claims are so nonsensical and

00:08:59.420 incoherent that you can't begin to explain them or defend them. And that's why you don't even try.

00:09:04.520 Of course, there was a time when anyone with the first name professor was thought to possess

00:09:08.480 superior intellect or at least some kind of intellect, a studious type with, you know, thoughts and

00:09:13.300 opinions designed to shape the world into a better place. Fast forward a couple of years and that has

00:09:17.440 devolved into a professor Dave. So before you send your kids off to college, remember that they'll

00:09:22.260 be in the hands of people like professor Dave. I don't mean to end this video on such a scary thought,

00:09:26.880 but it is worth noting.
