00:00:30.540Welcome to The Megyn Kelly Show, live on Sirius XM Channel 111 every weekday at New East.
00:00:42.240Hey everyone, I'm Megyn Kelly. Welcome to The Megyn Kelly Show. We begin with a political
00:00:46.480earthquake in the Democratic Party. Last night, Abdul El-Sayed defeated establishment candidate
00:00:53.020Representative Haley Stevens in the Michigan race for the Democrat primary. This is for the
00:01:00.000U.S. Senate seat out of Michigan. They're trying to figure out who the Democrat nominee will be
00:01:05.640to go up against the Republican nominee, who is now officially Mike Rogers. This is the race in
00:01:10.940which we had the weird Chris Farley lady down by the river. You know, I'm going to work for
00:01:16.600the Michiganders. That lady, she lost. But it was actually a much closer contest than the polls
00:01:22.820had suggested. The polls had made it look like El-Sayed was going to crush her by double digits,
00:01:28.740and it wound up being a squeaker. So there's some cause for concern amongst Democrats who
00:01:36.900are just interested in holding onto this seat. Because this would be a Republican pickup if
00:01:42.700Mike Rogers wins it. And now they have a little reason to worry, because while El-Sayed's popular
00:01:50.620amongst Democrats. Obviously, he just won the nomination. He is more controversial than the
00:01:57.460weird Chris Farley lady and probably has a better chance of losing. But by no means is that
00:02:04.460guaranteed. This is an outsider kind of year. It's really not a great year for Republicans,
00:02:11.240or at least expected to be. And so what's actually going to happen in November,
00:02:17.200that's anyone's guess right now. We're going to have to watch it.
00:02:20.620So in any event, it looks like it's official. It was like so close that as of about two hours ago, still multiple outlets were not calling it. But now the Associated Press, NBC, CNN, they're all calling it for El Sayed.
00:02:34.740He is a former health official in Michigan's largest county. He's 41 years old. He's a Muslim progressive who was endorsed by AOC and the whole squad.
00:02:45.660Hassan Piker, who's this, I don't know how to describe him, controversial, very left-wing podcaster, as well as Senator Bernie Sanders endorsed him.
00:02:57.380He's going to take on, as I mentioned, Mike Rogers in the general.
00:03:00.240And he, Abdul Salah El-Sayed, had this to say last night.
00:05:27.100You should have found somebody who really didn't remind everyone of Chris Farley and
00:05:32.240not in the best way that we all love Chris Farley.
00:05:34.660But, you know, you know what I'm saying?
00:05:36.940Again, this guy, El Sayed, was said to have led by over 10 points in the Real Clear Politics
00:05:42.520polling average, and that included polls where he was way ahead.
00:05:45.480And so, look, that didn't wind up being the case.
00:05:50.420But what does this say about the state of now his race against Mike Rogers and the overall picture when it comes to blue versus red in America?
00:06:00.880We've got the perfect person to tell us.

00:07:22.980Mark, welcome back. So she was too weird for Michiganders. In the end, this guy,
00:07:31.260notwithstanding his associations with genuinely the far left of the Democrat Party, was the
00:07:37.240choice. You can see he was more exciting. He was an outsider. He offered something very different
00:07:45.820instead of weird platitudes like she did when it came to health care. I mean, he seems much more
00:07:51.320willing to go like the Bernie Sanders route of potentially getting rid of private health care.
00:07:55.480And her website, The Wall Street Journal, was just pointing out it was really like,
00:07:59.720We need to improve it. We need to do better. Expand coverage.
00:08:05.160You know, so if you're somebody for whom issues like that matter, he would be very interesting to you.
00:08:10.000And he wound up winning. So if you're Mike Rogers this morning, how are you feeling about your new opponent?
00:08:16.040First of all, I'll tell you my chief concern is if I don't lose a little more weight, you'll say I'm a little like a weird Chris Farley.
00:08:21.660So that's my that's my top priority now. I'm going to give you a range of accent.
00:08:28.120Yeah, I understand. It's not the weight.
00:08:29.320I understand. Yeah. I do. I do wish Chris Farley were still with us and not just because he would do a killer version of her.
00:08:39.040I'm going to give you a varied points of view, because in the last 36 hours, I've gone from saying that this guy would lose to Mike Rogers to saying he'd be the favorite against Mike Rogers to now wondering whether he could actually build the coalition to win this, even in, as you said, a very bad year in general for Republicans.
00:08:54.500He won for a lot of reasons. But I think the main reason is found in the very short three sentence slogan that he repeats nonstop and he will repeat in the general election. Money out of politics, money in your pocket, Medicare for all people want change.
00:09:13.240And she ran most of her campaign saying, I've been voted the most effective member of Congress.
00:09:19.660And I think for a lot of people in the Democratic Party, being the most effective member of Congress, it doesn't sound like a good thing because Congress, they don't view Congress as very effective.
00:09:28.540So if you're the best at doing something they think is horrible, that's not very good.
00:20:19.640but I feel like, frankly, I should go, like,
00:20:21.040President Trump decides that he doesn't like the front page
00:20:23.620jews so he decides to take us into another war okay so we're not talking about your run-of-the-mill
00:20:30.620you know interesting progressive candidate who just wants more expanded health care i mean like
00:20:35.000you won't he won't say anything about the death of komeini because people are sad okay i mean i
00:20:40.920realize that he's he was a beloved figure within certain pockets of islam but um that's pretty
00:20:48.320controversial for an American, an American man seeking the U.S. Senate nomination. So I mean,
00:20:55.040what are we going to get, Mark, a lot more of these candidates now? Like which direction is
00:20:59.040that party going? Because I think even they don't know. Well, I'll just I'll break off the Khomeini
00:21:05.160stuff because I agree with you that that that is not mainstream. That is not normal. That is not
00:21:10.220popular. That is not acceptable by a very large percentage. Most of the other things you cited,
00:21:15.640and I've been spending a lot of time reporting on this. He is kind of in the mainstream of what
00:21:20.720is now a very far left Democratic Party. Most of the things you cited would be true of lots of
00:21:25.860members of the Congress who are Democrats, lots of leaders. Gender care for youth. Yeah. Defunding
00:21:31.940police. Abolishing ICE. I forgot that one. Abolishing ICE. I mean, Troy Jackson's for
00:21:36.220abolishing ICE. It's right on his website. So he's not a socialist. He's avowedly not a socialist.
00:21:43.280He's not a member of the DSA. And with some exceptions that I don't minimize and his relationship with Hassan Piker, he is kind of a mainstream Democrat now because the party's moved so far to the left that that doesn't mean he'll win.
00:21:56.260It doesn't mean he'll lose against Mike Rogers. What it does mean is I think we need to be meticulous about not defining him as something that's an aberration.
00:22:08.160So when you say, what does this mean for the future of the Democratic Party?
00:22:11.140In that respect, it's the president of the Democratic Party.
00:22:13.920He's a lot like a lot of Democrats who are already in Congress.
00:22:16.720He's a lot like a lot of Democratic senators who, because of the ideological change in the party and because of Trump derangement syndrome, they're, you know, saying we need fewer cops and more social workers.
00:22:30.180That's that's mainstream for the Democratic Party now.
00:22:32.520And by the way, it's believed by tens of millions of people. It's not going to win you a lot of general elections if that's what it's decided on. But it's it's it's where the party's gone. They've gone to be a far left party for the most part.
00:22:43.860So here's what's crazy, and it's underpinning a lot of these Democrat races, Mark.
00:22:50.080They're getting ahead, people like this guy, El-Sayed, by saying we need Medicare for all.
00:23:06.860You don't have to wait two days to be seen if you have some catastrophic fall here in America.
00:23:13.860as a senior, that's not a thing here. But it will be if we switch to a Canadian type system along
00:23:19.540the lines of what El Syed and some of these other Democrats want. It's not Medicare for all. It's
00:23:23.940Medicaid for all, where you have the lowest rung of coverage. And the irony of it is, it was the
00:23:31.920Democrats who switched the system to Obamacare back in 2010, after Barack Obama got elected.
00:23:39.240and they put in these enormous subsidies to try to make it so that people didn't feel the pain
00:23:45.200of that new system right away. And we are just now getting to the point where Republicans have said
00:23:50.380we're done paying those subsidies. And the truth of Obamacare is coming out, which is it's
00:23:54.800enormously expensive and actually quite unpopular. And now they've gone back to those same voters to
00:24:00.620say the system sucks. What we really need is Medicare for all, which, again, secretly is
00:24:06.160Medicaid for all. And without acknowledging, you're the ones who got us into this mess when
00:24:10.640it comes to the health care system to begin with. Really well framed. I think some people
00:24:17.940use Medicare for all to mean optional and anybody who wants can be in a program like Medicare.
00:24:23.400But some people, as you rightly say, mean it as mandatory, a single payer health care.
00:24:29.680There's a health care crisis in America now. There has been on a low grade or higher grade
00:24:34.140for decades. The Affordable Care Act did not solve it, as you rightly say. But in Michigan,
00:24:40.120as in most states, probably all states, all states, there's a health care crisis. People are
00:24:44.920not happy with their current coverage and don't have enough coverage, have too much out-of-pocket
00:24:49.500expenses, have too many things that aren't covered, high deductibles, high co-pays. And so while
00:24:56.580many Americans look at that phrase, which again, it's his core, it's Medicare for all is in his
00:25:02.000core phrase. He saw it in the video you played. Money out of politics, money in your pocket,
00:25:07.020Medicare for all. I've never seen a candidate this disciplined, I say parenthetically. You ask
00:25:12.440him anything, and they'll tell you those three things. He's- Smart. Yeah. He's offering something
00:25:17.680on healthcare, right? It's something a lot of people don't want, but he's offering something.
00:25:23.020Mike Rogers is going to have to offer something, or he's going to lose on the question of-
00:25:27.720That's very interesting. Now we're into it because the Republicans don't want to touch this with a 10-foot pole because they have no alternative.
00:25:36.340Correct. That's the problem, Mike Rogers, is because don't count on the Michigan press corps to say to the guy, when you say Medicare for all, who's paying for that?
00:25:46.660How does that interact with Obamacare?
00:25:49.060By the way, Medicare for all is elimination of private insurance. Bernie Sanders has made that clear.
00:25:57.720Bernie Sanders wrote the foreword to El Syed's book and about this issue.
00:26:03.620OK, so this Medicare for all pie in the sky really means Medicaid for all.
00:26:07.480And it means you can kiss your private insurance.
00:26:27.560They're not saying to people in Michigan.
00:26:29.360We had somebody on two-way the other day who lives near the Canadian border.
00:26:33.320She said, if you want to have a baby now, because our hospital closed, if you want to have a baby, you got to drive hours, hours and hours to have a baby.
00:26:41.580OK, I'm not saying it's Donald Trump's fault.
00:26:44.180I'm not saying it's the fault of the Affordable Care Act.
00:26:48.020What I'm saying is this guy's making part of his core argument.
00:26:51.240And Medicare, which is a very popular program with a lot of people, even though it's got flaws, this guy's saying, I'm a doctor and I'm going to give everybody Medicare.
00:27:00.140And then you got Mike Rogers saying, hummina, hummina, hummina.
00:27:03.780So, yeah, so it's a it's a it's an issue.
00:27:47.920I actually have a jurist doctorate, which definitely beats the degree she had.
00:27:52.740But I don't think the GOP should be feeling all that comfortable.
00:27:57.780I actually think I'd be I'd be a little bit more worried about this guy than I would about the weird Haley Stevens.
00:28:05.800I just think I know she was more mainstream, but he's, you know, take it for what it's worth, a sexier candidate.
00:28:13.040And he's sexier and the candidate of change in a cycle where the candidate of change is going to be experienced in most races, if that's if all other things being roughly equal.
00:28:23.160So I agree with you. I think she I think she would have struggled against Mike Rogers because she's a Washington creature of Washington.
00:28:30.060Being a creature of Washington is not on vogue.
00:28:34.660Here's a little bit. I mentioned Katie Porter earlier. It's very sad.
00:28:38.020Both she and Haley Stephens are gone. Here's one clip that marries the two together. Mark,
00:28:42.980my team gives me what I want. Here it is. Yeah, I mean, I think you saw so much enthusiasm on
00:28:48.340the Internet for Abdul El-Sayed. He's very charismatic. He's been running a podcast. He's,
00:28:54.280let's face it, he's good looking. He's enthusiastic. He's new to, he's new in office.
00:28:58.720Haley Stephens has been in Congress eight years and she's being styled here. She started with me
00:29:03.540And she's being styled here as the establishment, like career politician.
00:29:08.920And so I think you saw a lot of enthusiasm about El Saeed as a new voice.
00:29:13.440And that is, I think, good for the Democratic Party.
00:29:17.060OK, she thinks he's good looking, Mark.
00:29:20.740I didn't mean sexy physically, but I think Katie Porter would say that in that way.
00:29:25.360Yeah, she seemed to have a little extra verve on that on that rhetorical point.
00:30:40.720And you like I can't believe Van Jones is still holding on it because like the Republican Party is still pro-Israel by the numbers, though far less than it used to be.
00:30:49.820But the Democrat Party has entirely turned on Israel.
00:30:52.940so have the independents. I was actually surprised to hear Van Jones holding on to the vestiges of
00:30:58.820how they used to be, you know, 15 years ago. Axelrod, I think, has got his finger on the pulse
00:31:04.420and here it's embodied in the following exchange. Let's watch. It's a legitimate question. Should
00:31:10.820a should essentially an agent of any foreign government, whether it's Israel or any other,
00:31:15.940be able to spend or is it healthy for them to spend 30 million dollars in a race like this to
00:31:23.240influence uh the outcome of that race i think that's that's a legitimate issue i don't think
00:31:29.380that they're an agent before in power i think they're american jews as you said their mission
00:31:33.440is to support the policies of the israeli government well i think their issue is to
00:31:37.800protect um israel but why is ipac so mad this guy is saying that the united states government can't
00:31:43.140even sell defensive weapons to Israel, which would make Israel completely defenseless.
00:31:47.780Now, that would be a reason for a group of people who cares about Israelis to say this is not our
00:31:52.740guide. I feel like, yeah, that that issue is settled in their party. I'm not sure why they're
00:32:01.440still arguing over it, because if I were a Democrat who wanted to continue to win in any
00:32:06.860state, the first thing I'd say if I were in chief of all Democrats, the first thing I would tell
00:32:11.420them is you cannot take any APAC money. You should not talk about Israel on the campaign trail.
00:32:17.040If the question is put directly to you, you should say we've given them enough. They say
00:32:21.820themselves that they can stand on their own two feet and they should be allowed to. You will not
00:32:25.960get elected as a Democrat nine times out of 10 if you don't say those things in 2026 America.
00:32:31.320Am I wrong? You're not wrong in the current environment. And you saw that with Joe Biden,
00:32:34.920very pro-Israel Democrat for decades when he was running for president. He was doing everything he
00:32:41.100could to avoid supporting Netanyahu publicly. And when he felt compelled to and did after
00:32:46.420October 7th, he got a huge blowback. That's after October 7th. So you're absolutely right.
00:32:57.160And I think, again, in this period from now to November, that will be finessed. The anti-Israel
00:33:04.700position will be the dominant position. The primaries are almost over. But after that,
00:33:09.760in the presidential context, someone like Josh Shapiro, governor of Pennsylvania,
00:33:14.740some presidential candidate is going to draw a line in the sand on this. Not all the way back
00:33:19.080to where it used to be, probably not celebrating AIPAC, but still being a defender of Israel.
00:33:24.320And I think it's the J.D. Vance position. J.D. Vance, with his interview with Joe Rogan,
00:33:33.420said, I'm the moderate on this. I'm not reflexively pro-Israel. I'm not reflexively
00:33:39.980anti-Israel. I'm for what's in the interest of the United States, which is that position,
00:33:45.380being allied with Israel when it's in the interest of the United States and supporting a long-time
00:33:49.340ally. I think some Democrat can move the party back there, but not all the way back.
00:33:54.600And I'll be curious. AIPAC has a big annual fundraiser. I'll be curious to see how many
00:33:58.240democrats go to that thing when it comes up i don't i feel like jd vance he's he's basically
00:34:05.360going to say we like israel but we're keeping israel at arm's length exactly like we don't do
00:34:11.620israel's bidding yeah which is which is different than where trump is and uh even where the republican
00:34:17.140party used to be um there is we've mentioned this guy hassan piker a lot i don't think a lot of our
00:34:22.580audience knows or consumes Hassan Piker content, but he is pretty radical in his leftism and really
00:34:33.180seems to me like straight out of the DSA playbook. But he's been a leader on a lot of these issues
00:34:39.400over on the in the Democrat Party. And he got out there last night and his live stream and went off
00:38:56.260And he was pulling much better on the favorability scale than Ken Paxton, who's had a lot of scandals down in Texas.
00:39:04.120And I have to ask you, Mark, what you think, because while the betting markets, Polymarket and Kalshi, still have Paxton eking out a win in this race.
00:39:13.580The last three polls to come out down there show Tallarico ahead of the Republican Ken Paxton.
00:39:23.100I'm second to no political analyst for the last 20 years in laughing at Democrats wasting money
00:39:29.620trying to win races in Texas. I have been consistent in looking at the demographics and
00:39:33.880saying, maybe someday, but not now. Because of the climate, because of how unpopular President
00:39:39.820Trump is, and because of Ken Paxson's unpopularity, if the election were held today, I believe
00:39:45.760Tallarico would win. But that's true of a lot of other races. It's true in Ohio, Alaska, Iowa.
00:39:53.100The Republican Party is going to have to turn this around. If they turn around Texas, which they can, Paxton will win, but they have to turn it around and Paxton's having trouble raising money.
00:40:04.120Tallarico is not. And I'll say this, the biggest single variable that we don't know the answer to,
00:40:13.060which will determine whether Ken Paxton can come back and win, because it's not just public media
00:40:18.480polls, private Republican polls show him behind, is this. Republicans will have a greater money
00:40:23.720advantage in this election than any election in American history, midterm election in American
00:40:29.020history. I believe their advantage, not their total money, will be over a billion and a half
00:40:34.100dollars and so they're talking about beyond texas you're talking about midterms billion and a half
00:40:39.320some of that will go to texas and and paxton will take the money and his supporters and they'll spend
00:40:44.920it and they'll say do you want common sense or do you want a communist do you want common sense or
00:40:50.880do you want kooky and if they can do that and turn things around they'll win but they must execute
00:40:57.480in other words on the current trajectory as as as long as it's been since the democrat has won
00:41:03.600a statewide race in texas as much as tallarico has said many things that would in a normal cycle
00:41:09.500disqualify him for texas he will win unless the republicans can change the current trajectory of
00:41:16.140the race and that's true in a lot of other races that's stunning it is and again i'm not stunning
00:41:20.880you can go check my record i have there's not been a single cycle presidential or or midterm
00:41:26.920where i have given democrats a chance to win a statewide race in texas not a chance what wasn't
00:41:33.460even open to it. But it's happening now unless the Republicans fix it. So Enten gets into I have
00:41:39.520two soundbites from him that I want. I want to play both. Here he is, first of all, on why Ted
00:41:45.220Cruz was polling better versus Ken Paxton. Now, this is not 20. The 26 different than 2018.
00:41:52.980Ted Cruz, again, who won? But it was very, very close. Less than three points. How is Ted Cruz
00:41:58.760different than Paxton? How is Ted Cruz different than Ken Paxton? Simply put, Ted Cruz is popular.
00:42:04.480Ken Paxton is not popular at all. That is, I think, one of the biggest differences in this race. Take
00:42:09.300a look here. The GOP nominee's net favorability. In July of 2018, Ted Cruz was eight points above
00:42:14.680water. His favorable was eight points above his unfavorable rating. Look at this side of the screen.
00:42:18.700Very different indeed. Ken Paxton, six points underwater with, get this, among independents,
00:42:24.70047 points underwater no wonder no wonder that you're seeing major issues for ken paxton in
00:42:31.660this race so far it's the independence so the republicans pushed paxton through they were over
00:42:39.660john cornyn for a bunch of reasons they thought he was kind of a rhino you know type and john
00:42:46.140thune and others of the establishment said don't do this this you're going to cost us so much money
00:42:50.760down in Texas if you get rid of Cornyn. But they did it. And I understand why they did it. But
00:42:55.760the independents are the ones who John Thune was thinking about. Here's just a little bit more
00:43:01.540from Harry Anton on them. Sat 19. The polling is different. The polling is different. This is the
00:43:06.980best looking polling for Democrats in the Senate race since really the 20th century. You're going
00:43:13.860to have to go back probably the late 80s, the last time they won a Senate race out there when
00:43:18.320it was Lloyd Benson winning in 1988. Because just take a look here, this polling looks so much
00:43:23.560different than it did eight years ago. You take a look here, James Tallarico, the latest poll
00:43:27.460against Ken Paxton, he's actually up by three points. Look at where the race was between Beto
00:43:32.040O'Rourke and Ted Cruz at this point in the 2018 cycle. Ted Cruz was a hit by six. This is very
00:43:37.160different. The Democrat here is doing nine points better. And what is supercharging that? Look at
00:43:42.180this independence move from tie to plus 39 points for James Tallarico independence. The name of the
00:43:49.900game shifting significantly to the left hand and supercharging James Tallarico. It could be real
00:43:55.660every single time I look at the pong. This can't be right. This could be very, very real. Democrats
00:44:00.460have a real shot in Texas. OK, so you agree with that. I do. But can you explain how? Because I
00:44:08.420I know Ken Paxton has scandals, but James Tallarico thinks God is non-binary.
00:44:13.920He's a vegan, even though he claims he's not a vegan, but he clearly was a vegan up until very recently.
00:44:19.460He's said some bizarre things about trans kids and so on.
00:44:23.900Like, how would Texas vote that guy into the U.S. Senate?
00:44:29.740There's another another thing I want to do as a focus group in Texas amongst regular independent independents who regularly vote Republican and why they're voting for Tallarica are open to them, because I don't really understand how they're setting aside all those things because they know about all those things because there's already been money spent on television to tell them those things.
00:44:50.320I can't really answer the question for you how they're setting them aside, except by saying this.
00:44:55.340The very reason, as you laid out, that the Paxson, the Cornyn folks said, don't nominate this guy, are all true.
00:45:01.860He has won statewide races, but since he's won statewide races, he's done a lot of things that are morally challenged, ethically questionable, and he's not handling that well.
00:45:13.320His dealings with the press have been awkward.
00:45:18.380He's also continues, apparently, to do things in his personal life that he allows TMZ to take pictures of that are just part of why he's got trouble.
00:45:29.600And I will say Democrats, even in Texas, Democrats normally do better with women than Republicans do with female voters.
00:45:36.340I think the gender gap in this in this race will be massive because a lot of the things people don't like about Ken Paxton,
00:45:42.780a lot of women in moderate independence, moderate Republican women do not like about the guy.
00:45:48.440I know that from lots of friends in Texas. So Ken Paxton needs a comeback. This is not a case
00:45:54.340of coasting. This is not a case of, well, the Republican always wins in the end. If they're
00:45:57.960going to hold that seat, they need a comeback. And he's going to have to raise more money and
00:46:02.260he's going to have to figure out a way to make the race more about Tallarico than it is about him.
00:46:06.400Oh, my Lord. I mean, that is just that is that is some bad ass news. But it's only August 4th, 5th today. So there is some time. I do want to point out that Cori Bush was defeated. So that's some good news that came out last night. She tried to make a comeback for her state, her her seat in St. Louis, Missouri. She was defeated by Representative Wesley Bell.
00:46:31.320they were saying, we're not ready to go that far. There's a reason we got rid of you a couple
00:46:36.220years ago. She lost badly. Good. Yeah, I like that news. Running a business means you're always
00:46:42.360searchable until you're not. And we all know that the exact second you miss a call, a text or a
00:46:49.420follow-up, a competitor is waiting right there to pick it up. That's why I want to tell you about
00:46:53.720Quo. It's spelled Q-U-O, the business phone system built so you never miss an opportunity.
00:46:59.200all of your calls, texts, and voicemails
00:53:34.680Because let's say that is 10 to 20 million votes that, you know, people who are very anti the Iran war and just the neocon hawkish nature of the Republican Party, even after 20 years of war.
00:53:49.400I mean, that that actually could be a problem, right?
00:53:53.280The Republican Party, no party can afford to lose that many voters in a general election.
00:53:57.460Yeah. Getting ballot access is really difficult.
00:54:00.820determining a process by which you select your nominee is really difficult so if if magically
00:54:08.960they could be on the general election ballot and in the debates yeah that'd be doomed for the
00:54:14.200republican party doom i mean unequivocal they can get in the debates no they can get in the debate
00:54:19.460i mean why not the the commission of presidential debates no longer runs the thing right trump put
00:54:24.860an end to that right and the republican nominee would no sooner step on the debate stage than
00:54:28.820they would eat a bag of tax. They're just not going to let them in the debates. If the commission
00:54:36.300wouldn't let them in the debates unless they met some threshold, and if the commission's not
00:54:40.420in doing it, and we don't really know if the commission's doing it or not. They've had some
00:54:45.040bad cycles here, but they may come back. But if they don't, no Republican presidential nominee
00:54:50.120is going to agree to debate Tucker. They're just not. In addition, I'll just say regarding Tucker,
00:54:54.700uh whatever other variables there are if jd vance is a republican nominee tucker's not going to stop
00:55:01.160him so i just don't see it in terms of what that group represents uh they have a lot of grievance
00:55:07.060i know they're against a lot of stuff but i don't really know what they're for and again you don't
00:55:12.000start a political party without standing for something so mark me down you might hear more
00:55:17.020tonight we might mark me down as skeptical that tucker wants to give up the great life he has now
