The Megyn Kelly Show - Biden's Border Crisis Spin, and Don Lemon Gets Schooled On Air, with the Ruthless Podcast Hosts ｜ Ep. 395

00:00:00.440 Welcome to The Megyn Kelly Show, your home for open, honest, and provocative conversations.

00:00:11.360 Hey everyone, I'm Megyn Kelly. Welcome to The Megyn Kelly Show.

00:00:14.840 President Biden takes to the world stage.

00:00:17.860 Speaking at the UN today, yawn.

00:00:20.140 It comes as Vladimir Putin mobilizes more troops and threatens nuclear action.

00:00:23.720 That's no yawn.

00:00:24.540 Um, he seems to be seriously saber-rattling now as his fortunes in Ukraine are going in the wrong direction.

00:00:32.800 Keep an eye on that.

00:00:34.060 The White House is, meantime, continuing to do cleanup over the president's comments about the pandemic, about Taiwan.

00:00:41.920 And as it turns out, Scott Pelley did ask Joe Biden about Dark Brandon, the Dark Brandon speech.

00:00:48.260 It's just 60 Minutes didn't think that was important enough to share with you.

00:00:51.160 No, they did not ask about the border crisis.

00:00:53.160 That was not among the list of outtakes.

00:00:57.060 However, Joe Biden was asked about the border crisis yesterday at the White House, and we'll play you what he said.

00:01:03.400 It continues to be a story.

00:01:05.120 A number of migrants entering this country has reached an all-time yearly high.

00:01:10.900 I mean, we knew we were on track for it.

00:01:12.500 Now it's official.

00:01:13.440 Over 2.1 million people arrested along the southern border during this past 12-month period.

00:01:20.880 Think about that.

00:01:21.540 We're not even done with the 12-month period.

00:01:23.680 I mean, it's stunning.

00:01:26.000 And we had a total meltdown in Martha's Vineyard over 50.

00:01:29.880 50.

00:01:30.440 And now it turns out we're getting the numbers.

00:01:33.260 78 of those people who were arrested while trying to cross our southern border, 78 were on the terror watch list.

00:01:40.100 Ah, nothing to fear.

00:01:42.680 Joining me now, the guys from Ruthless, John Ashbrook, Michael Duncan, Josh Holmes, and the man known to his Twitter minions as comfortably smug together.

00:01:53.220 They are ruthless in all the best ways.

00:01:55.100 Welcome back to the show, guys.

00:02:01.140 Oh, it's so great.

00:02:02.320 Thank you for having us.

00:02:03.700 I always miss you.

00:02:04.600 And I feel like it's been too long since the last time.

00:02:07.600 I know it.

00:02:08.280 I know it.

00:02:08.840 It's just like an old home week.

00:02:10.400 Every time we do this, it just feels, you know, natural.

00:02:13.140 It does feel natural.

00:02:14.100 All right, so let's talk about the fact that we looked at the number 78 terrorists, people on the terror watch list, got in across our southern border this past 12 months.

00:02:21.800 And you're like, OK, that's not good.

00:02:23.860 It's like, well, that's a lot.

00:02:25.040 But how has it been in 2019?

00:02:29.580 Guess how many?

00:02:31.200 Zero.

00:02:32.500 Zero.

00:02:33.660 This is at least five times what it was just last year and something like 30 times what it was the year before that.

00:02:41.680 Now you got zero in 29.

00:02:42.740 I mean, it's a disaster.

00:02:44.760 And yet we have our vice president who's in charge of this crisis saying the southern border is secure not to worry.

00:02:53.660 Oh, I mean, look, first of all, God bless Ron DeSantis for doing what he did with the Martha's Vineyard situation, because there are some of us like the Ruthless Variety program and you, Megan, who cover this all year long.

00:03:06.560 Right.

00:03:06.740 I mean, the crisis doesn't go away.

00:03:08.300 And yet the mainstream media had absolutely no interest in covering this basically for the entirety of the Biden administration.

00:03:16.040 And so this crisis persists.

00:03:17.800 It means opioids in communities.

00:03:19.160 It means human trafficking.

00:03:20.440 It means just unspeakable things done to women and children at the border with coyotes and everything else.

00:03:26.000 And yet nobody talks about it in the corporate media as if it's a problem.

00:03:31.220 Well, now Ron DeSantis sends 50 migrants to Martha's Vineyard.

00:03:34.680 Next thing we know, it's now a part of our conversation. 0.97

00:03:37.660 God bless it, because it reveals the hypocrisy of Democrats.

00:03:42.320 It's like they basically want to ignore this problem entirety until they show up in their favorite vacation destination.

00:03:49.340 I call it the taste of your own medicine strategy, you know, where you basically you show the left the world that they pretend that they want to live in.

00:03:57.360 Oh, you want open borders?

00:03:58.680 Oh, you want amnesty?

00:03:59.980 You want sanctuary cities?

00:04:01.700 Well, now it's going to show up at your beach house.

00:04:03.760 Let's see how you handle it.

00:04:05.160 You know, like the millions of people who live on this the border in this country who deal with it every day.

00:04:09.740 And it's not just the crossings, right?

00:04:12.280 It's, you know, it's how it stretches social services, how it impacts schools.

00:04:17.360 You know, I mean, the people on Martha's Vineyard have no idea what it takes to actually absorb this sort of population into your local community for more than 48 hours before you deport them.

00:04:29.400 And that's the thing.

00:04:30.160 So in Martha's Vineyard, they had 50 illegal aliens show up.

00:04:33.780 And what did they do?

00:04:34.400 This is among the wealthiest communities in this country.

00:04:37.340 They set up a GoFundMe.

00:04:38.660 Right.

00:04:38.920 Because like this is this is an absolute crisis.

00:04:40.840 They were happy to put up their sign that like in Martha's Vineyard, we believe that no one is illegal.

00:04:44.760 They set up a GoFundMe so that for 40 hours they deal with 50 illegal aliens.

00:04:50.120 And as you brought up, over 2 million have been arrested.

00:04:52.740 Think of how many more have come through, you know, without being stopped.

00:04:56.900 2 million compared to 50.

00:04:58.800 So if for every migrant on Martha's Vineyard, there were 40,000 instead.

00:05:03.840 That's what the situation is like in the border.

00:05:05.520 But you don't see it from their beach house until Ron DeSantis brings it to them.

00:05:09.340 Well, you know, it's not only wealthy.

00:05:11.040 It's also a vacation community.

00:05:13.140 And after August, that means there's vacancy.

00:05:15.340 And yesterday on the Variety program, we looked at Airbnb and found out that there were 75 mansions on the beach with vacancy.

00:05:23.320 So for them to say that they had no room, there's no room in the inn, it's completely.

00:05:27.960 Like, oh, we have no infrastructure.

00:05:29.320 We have the most luxurious amenities available to mankind.

00:05:32.480 I've never been to Martha's Vineyard.

00:05:34.040 I'm sure it's a very nice place.

00:05:35.540 I'd like to go there.

00:05:36.820 It's truly they're like, you know, give us your tired, your hungry, your poor, your immigrants. 1.00

00:05:40.360 We'll take you.

00:05:40.940 Come on.

00:05:41.340 Come on in.

00:05:41.780 No problem.

00:05:42.520 And they're like, oh, my God, get the hell out.

00:05:44.380 Humanitarian crisis.

00:05:45.380 Get out with the boot. 0.90

00:05:46.420 And then they literally were saying they enriched our lives.

00:05:50.420 We'll come visit you.

00:05:51.700 We'll visit you at the military.

00:05:54.200 I mean, that's the thing is when the situation became something they could actually see and deal with.

00:06:01.140 I mean, there are, you know, the horror stories of what's going on in these border communities right now.

00:06:07.080 I mean, I've shared one on the on the show personally.

00:06:09.700 A friend of mine, his family is actually from one of these border towns in Texas.

00:06:15.620 His father is a physician there and a family friend owns a car dealership there.

00:06:21.060 And his daughter was kidnapped by cartel members, taken back across the border.

00:06:25.540 And he was told, you have to give us five trucks or your daughter is going to be killed.

00:06:29.920 So there's no help.

00:06:31.740 There's no help from from from the administration.

00:06:34.100 He gives him the five cars. 0.99

00:06:35.560 He gets his daughter back raped and beaten. 0.98

00:06:38.280 And there's so many stories like this.

00:06:41.540 There's an estimate that half the women who are who come through illegally through the border,

00:06:45.540 have been sexually assaulted by these coyotes, by the cartels.

00:06:49.720 This is human trafficking. 0.80

00:06:51.180 This is not what the left is concerned with trying to say that, oh, you know, these these

00:06:55.900 illegal migrants agree to be sent to Martha's Vineyard.

00:06:58.260 Who among us would not want to get on a plane and be told you're going to Martha's Vineyard,

00:07:01.080 right?

00:07:01.860 They will describe wandering around aimlessly in Texas.

00:07:04.740 Yeah, they won't.

00:07:05.540 They won't talk about what the reality is like for people in these border towns who are

00:07:09.660 dealing with this or the or the or the middle of the night flights that the Biden administration

00:07:14.440 has been executing here over the past 18 months, backyard, to my backyard, to Westchester,

00:07:19.620 New York, which is right in between New York City and Connecticut.

00:07:22.980 And it's caught on tape.

00:07:24.600 They don't even deny it.

00:07:25.680 We know they've been doing that.

00:07:26.940 What about what about those?

00:07:28.200 Is that cruel and unusual?

00:07:29.340 Is that using people for political pawns?

00:07:31.820 What is that?

00:07:32.340 Because the Democrats seem to have no problem with it.

00:07:34.720 That's it's different because Democrats are doing it.

00:07:37.400 And the press says there's nothing to see here.

00:07:39.600 Yeah, it's different.

00:07:41.920 And also liberals are just absolutely the most generous people in the world with other

00:07:45.860 people's money.

00:07:46.580 Right.

00:07:46.900 Right.

00:07:47.320 And other people's stuff.

00:07:48.740 But as soon as it becomes their money and their stuff, emergency.

00:07:52.000 Yeah.

00:07:52.200 Wait a minute.

00:07:52.660 How much money did they raise on the GoFundMe for the 48 hours that they had these migrants 1.00

00:07:58.600 there?

00:07:59.120 I mean, and did they spend it on the migrants?

00:08:01.940 Well, that's that's that's the wildest part.

00:08:03.620 So it cracks six figures and then they release a statement.

00:08:06.080 They're like, so the migrants were taken to a military base this morning.

00:08:09.940 However, we will hold on to these funds to take care of like community.

00:08:15.920 Oh, my God.

00:08:17.060 Great.

00:08:18.460 Awesome.

00:08:19.100 It's just in case.

00:08:19.860 Just in case happens again.

00:08:21.500 In case they come back.

00:08:23.080 The the the people of Martha's Vineyard, these millionaires had a pass the hat program for

00:08:28.540 the rest of the country to basically build up their rainy day fund.

00:08:32.920 That is incredible.

00:08:34.220 I mean, that's the Democrat Party today is you have wealthy individuals who demand that

00:08:39.520 taxpayers, working class Americans pay for their college debt.

00:08:43.040 Now, working class Americans have in these border towns have to deal with an open border. 0.76

00:08:49.060 All the consequences of what the liberals want has to be put on other people and they

00:08:53.320 should be allowed to live in the lap of luxury.

00:08:55.680 It's only fair, right?

00:08:56.900 That's the compassion.

00:08:57.680 We looked at this yesterday in Eagle Pass, Texas.

00:09:00.980 They have a population of one hundred and forty seven thousand people and they had more

00:09:05.600 illegal migrants than that come into Eagle Pass this past year, more than the population

00:09:12.180 of the town.

00:09:12.980 So Martha's Vineyard can take a seat and stop there whining about humanitarian crisis. 1.00

00:09:18.520 By the way, a word they will not use crisis when it's just happening along the southern

00:09:23.380 border.

00:09:23.900 But 50 of them go to this Tony town in Massachusetts and it's a crisis. 0.97

00:09:28.320 It's only as you point out a crisis when it crisis when it happens to the Democrats.

00:09:32.060 But here's something I've got to run by you guys.

00:09:34.400 I listen in the mornings to, among other podcasts, the daily, which is the New York Times daily

00:09:39.140 offering.

00:09:40.080 And today they took a deep dive into this Martha's Vineyard and how humane everybody on Martha's 0.91

00:09:47.500 Vineyard was to these migrants and what a douchebag DeSantis is. 0.99

00:09:53.380 Basically, they didn't quite use that term for doing this, you know, the sort of human props

00:09:59.260 and so on.

00:09:59.820 And then here was the bottom line by the reporter who was speaking to Michael Barbaro about it.

00:10:06.480 Here's her bottom line on how this is this is backfired on DeSantis and the Republicans.

00:10:11.340 All right, listen.

00:10:13.380 Lever has found a job working at concession stands, soccer games, football games.

00:10:21.200 He's he went to D.C.

00:10:22.180 Sending money home to his seven year old son.

00:10:25.440 And he's bought himself a new cell phone.

00:10:30.520 He's making plans to buy a car, a used car, a 2012 Honda Civic, but nonetheless a car so

00:10:39.760 that he doesn't have to rely on public transportation.

00:10:43.400 And after that, he plans to move out of the shelter where he has been living since I met

00:10:49.800 him in late July, find a place to live, either share an apartment with some other Venezuelans

00:10:56.480 or rent a room somewhere.

00:11:00.080 And he actually told me that he's grateful that he got on the Abbott bus to Washington.

00:11:09.680 People like Lever are telling their friends as we speak that they found work, that they're

00:11:16.860 doing well.

00:11:18.060 And so others will follow.

00:11:20.600 And in fact, as has been the case for decades, more people will hear the story and come to

00:11:28.660 the U.S.

00:11:29.220 Okay, so you see there, her point is Abbott and Ducey and DeSantis will live to regret

00:11:38.260 this because the immigrants are happy as clams. 1.00

00:11:41.740 They get in.

00:11:42.620 It's like they get jobs.

00:11:43.740 They're like, you know what?

00:11:44.360 It's awesome.

00:11:45.160 They give you a ride to D.C.

00:11:46.780 They give you a ride to Martha's Vineyard.

00:11:47.980 And what I was thinking to myself was this person doesn't understand at all why these

00:11:54.000 governors are doing it.

00:11:55.000 A contrary to her left wing belief, they are not doing it to hurt the migrants, punish

00:12:00.360 the migrants and give them a miserable experience. 1.00

00:12:03.220 They are trying to do that to Democrats.

00:12:05.280 They are trying to do that to these sanctuary cities who feel none of the pain of having mass

00:12:10.960 influxes of people, but have all of the virtue signaling that makes themselves sleep well

00:12:16.440 at night.

00:12:16.780 And I think the important thing that you really got to stress in this situation is there are

00:12:21.440 many people like my grandparents who put in the time to legally come to this country.

00:12:27.680 And the process takes years when you want to follow the law.

00:12:32.220 And when you're coming to America and you want to live by the rules of the country you're

00:12:36.220 coming to and become a good citizen and you believe in this country means you follow the

00:12:41.640 laws of this country.

00:12:42.520 And so while those folks wait patiently in line and do what's right.

00:12:47.880 There's a reward right now from the Democrats for people to break the law.

00:12:51.800 You should not be allowed to work if you break the law.

00:12:54.340 These are this is a criminal act to enter the country illegally.

00:12:58.340 Imagine, you know, you enter countries illegally across this world.

00:13:02.620 You don't get a job in a cell phone in a Honda Civic only only here right now.

00:13:08.160 Have you seen what they do in Australia?

00:13:09.680 This administration excuses this and has created an open border policy.

00:13:13.120 In Australia.

00:13:13.520 I mean, you don't get past the board.

00:13:15.080 It's like you will be put in what looks like hotel jail until you get out.

00:13:19.920 Like you will not be enjoying the Aussies company. 1.00

00:13:22.860 If you try to illegally immigrate into Australia.

00:13:26.620 But you know what they're doing right now.

00:13:28.000 And President Biden spoke to this yesterday.

00:13:29.300 I'm going to play a soundbite.

00:13:30.500 He's basically saying this is different.

00:13:32.240 These are Venezuelans.

00:13:33.200 So they're fleeing.

00:13:33.880 These are all refugees.

00:13:35.240 And, you know, we don't have diplomatic relations with them.

00:13:37.280 We can't send them back.

00:13:38.700 And therefore, because I'm asking myself, how did this guy she's talking about get a job

00:13:44.060 within a couple of weeks?

00:13:45.420 And is he paying taxes on his job?

00:13:47.280 Is he like is that a job an American could have had?

00:13:49.260 Like, what's the story behind this guy gainfully employed two minutes after he got here?

00:13:53.940 And Joe Biden dismissed this as a very.

00:13:56.960 This is why he just wipes away two point one million illegal immigrants as follows.

00:14:03.400 This is him at the White House.

00:14:05.340 I think it's.

00:14:07.260 Yeah, it's yesterday.

00:14:07.980 I think it's on my six.

00:14:10.620 Why is the border more overwhelmed under your watch, Mr. President?

00:14:14.080 Because there are three countries that are never have.

00:14:16.980 There are fewer, fewer immigrants coming from Central America and from Mexico.

00:14:23.980 This is a totally different circumstance.

00:14:26.220 What's on my watch now is Venezuela, Cuba and Nicaragua.

00:14:31.620 And the ability to send them back to those states is not rational.

00:14:36.460 You could send them back and have them.

00:14:38.040 We're working with Mexico and other countries to see if we can stop the flow.

00:14:41.720 But that's the difference.

00:14:42.860 Thank you.

00:14:43.000 President Roger Santos, I think he's sending migrants to Delaware. 1.00

00:14:47.360 Do you have any comment or response to that, sir?

00:14:50.020 He should come visit.

00:14:50.960 We have a beautiful short way.

00:14:53.420 Oh, my God.

00:14:53.940 DeSantis should come visit.

00:14:56.460 So basically, they're all Venezuelans. 0.94

00:14:58.700 That's why he has to let them across the southern border. 0.99

00:15:00.700 That explains the entire two point one million.

00:15:02.840 Well, he makes a good point.

00:15:03.760 This is the first time in human history that Cuba has had refugees.

00:15:06.660 So he's the first president to ever have to deal with these kind of circumstances.

00:15:11.460 And when he says that we're working with Mexico to see what they can do to help.

00:15:15.040 There was something that's called stay in Mexico.

00:15:17.340 That's it.

00:15:17.600 Well, that's the previous administration had a policy to create a secure border.

00:15:21.300 And this administration willfully got rid of all of it and stranded all the governors in this country who are now desperately, desperately seeking for help.

00:15:30.580 And what he's doing by attacking Governor DeSantis, Governor Ducey, Governor Abbott, who are trying to bring this attention.

00:15:37.760 No one, no one in the media was talking about this crisis, absolute crisis that we have with an open border until these governors try to say, hey, listen, how about you try and share the burden?

00:15:47.080 You think you're a sanctuary city?

00:15:48.120 You think you're compassionate?

00:15:49.480 Share the burden that we're having every day in our communities.

00:15:52.600 And now it's like, oh, wow, this is a stunt.

00:15:55.040 I can't believe you would do this.

00:15:56.800 President Biden needs to be allowed to enjoy the nice beaches of Delaware in peace.

00:15:59.520 Why are you doing this, Ron Santa?

00:16:00.540 I just it sort of struck me, first of all, every time Biden turns around and walks back towards the phone, I guarantee his staff has like four valve heart.

00:16:08.560 They're like, oh, no, that's the moment you're like, yes, watch.

00:16:13.160 Right, right.

00:16:13.860 So you tune in.

00:16:14.740 But then like you touched on this, the idea that somehow Nicaragua, Venezuela and Cuba is a new problem in the world.

00:16:23.080 It's just it's amazing.

00:16:24.400 Remember the Sandinistas in the 1980s?

00:16:27.660 How about Hugo Chavez?

00:16:28.820 Does that ring a bell?

00:16:29.580 Well, like, I don't know, Castro, maybe seems like we've been dealing with this for quite some time, Mr. President.

00:16:35.460 Also, I believe the vice president was tasked specifically with going to these countries to solve the root of the root, the root, the root of the root.

00:16:44.260 Yes, which is why she didn't have to go to the border itself, because you're going to the root.

00:16:47.540 She's going to the root of the problem. 1.00

00:16:48.920 Yes, the root.

00:16:49.680 And so now that she's visited the root, which was like 300 was the closest she got was 400 miles away from the border.

00:16:56.740 But fortunately, those roots are deep.

00:16:58.780 But fortunately for her, there was a group of immigrants who showed up outside of the Naval Observatory, which is the mansion where Kamala Harris is allowed to live. 0.95

00:17:09.220 And she didn't do anything with them.

00:17:10.900 I mean, I don't know if you saw this video was on TV and she had her motor cages blow right past them. 0.98

00:17:17.740 She didn't stop and give him Alito's pizza.

00:17:20.200 She didn't try to help him get a Honda Civic or whatever the other lady from Barbaro's show was talking about.

00:17:25.880 Like she didn't do a single thing except go down to the White House so she could ruin another thing about our country. 0.59

00:17:30.500 Well, here's what you got to love.

00:17:31.800 This is so this is quintessentially American because these Venezuelans or whoever they were who were transported to Martha's Vineyard, they figured out right away how to be an American. 0.78

00:17:40.960 File a lawsuit.

00:17:41.760 That's what we do.

00:17:43.120 We sue each other.

00:17:44.360 It's amazing to me.

00:17:45.480 So these this these 50 migrants. 0.87

00:17:47.100 Well, there's a class action.

00:17:48.660 There's a class action by the migrants who are flown to Martha's Vineyard on DeSantis's dime on a private jet.

00:17:54.300 They've sued DeSantis and some other Florida officials saying that they were wrong.

00:18:00.960 They were it was false imprisonment and it was negligent infliction of emotional distress, their emotional distress.

00:18:08.300 Far more, they allege than they experienced when they fled their countries of origin, the private jet into Martha's Vineyard, where they were then taken care of by these fat walleted locals who'd been given one hundred thousand dollars. 0.99

00:18:23.360 By go fund me was so traumatic, more so than fleeing allegedly Venezuela, that now DeSantis needs to pay them millions of dollars, thanks to, of course, some far left progressive group that got its hands on these people as the progressives try to say, how dare you manipulate human beings as political props? 0.97

00:18:42.380 I mean, of course, it's supreme bullshit, right? 0.93

00:18:46.000 I mean, of course, what they're talking about has absolutely no basis in reality. 0.99

00:18:49.720 But what I find so hilarious is you get a bunch of ambulance chasing lefties that have sort of corralled these folks.

00:18:55.500 And you're like, hey, man, I think we can get some cash out of this deal.

00:18:58.160 And by the way, I only collect when you collect.

00:19:00.480 All right.

00:19:01.500 So I will do this.

00:19:03.400 It's gratis.

00:19:05.040 But, you know, it's a little something for the effort along the way.

00:19:08.720 Right.

00:19:08.960 Yeah. 0.86

00:19:09.400 Explain how 48 hours on Martha's Vineyard was more traumatic than being trafficked by a coyote over a thousand miles, you know, about like the women getting raped. 0.57

00:19:20.000 I mean, like it's just absurd and frivolous. 0.71

00:19:22.260 But of course, I mean, this is what you know what you expect from the left.

00:19:25.360 What I find particularly interesting about the issue of immigration, these blue states, you know, when when we were having a lot of discussions about taxes and covid back during the Trump administration,

00:19:35.780 you had a lot of these blue state members of Congress talking about maker states and taker states.

00:19:41.640 And of course, the taker states are the red states that don't pay their fair share.

00:19:45.600 Right.

00:19:45.980 Well, I can't think of a single issue in this country where the red states have to take all of the burden. 0.97

00:19:52.240 And you have these blue states who have no idea what the cost is for this to absorb 21 million people.

00:19:59.260 It's just insane.

00:20:00.440 Yeah.

00:20:00.560 And I wonder, I wonder, it's a good move.

00:20:02.600 Go ahead, Josh.

00:20:03.020 I wonder a lot about the worldview of people who become incensed that you have transported migrants to, you know, a blue state, blue community and think that that is basically a humanitarian crisis.

00:20:16.460 But don't actually see the root problem here as President Biden during the campaign and Kamala Harris and basically all Democrats promising future migrants.

00:20:28.680 Not only will they be welcomed at the border, but they'll be assisted.

00:20:32.560 Right.

00:20:32.780 Free health care.

00:20:33.500 I mean, we heard we heard them talk about this in the debates and you saw that first couple waves of of a crisis building after they took out remain in Mexico policy, stop the building of the wall and everything else.

00:20:45.360 You actually asked them and they're like, well, yeah, I mean, we heard the now president United States say that they would welcome us with open arms.

00:20:53.000 And what's resulted in that is a humanitarian crisis.

00:20:56.680 They are directly responsible for the for the rapes, for the maltreatment of children, from the coyotes, from the drugs in the communities all across this country.

00:21:05.680 That is a direct line.

00:21:07.720 I think I think they want it that way, just as we see with the other policies, like the way that they get the Green New Deal done is they destroy the energy markets.

00:21:15.540 They make gas unaffordable.

00:21:17.180 Right.

00:21:17.800 Like the pain is the point.

00:21:19.200 And I think it's the same thing, the same thing with immigration.

00:21:21.560 They want to overwhelm the system so that, you know, our public policy debate is basically like, well, our hands are tied.

00:21:27.060 There's nothing we can do.

00:21:27.940 We're going to have to have blanket amnesty for 21 million people because they showed up.

00:21:31.840 What can we do?

00:21:32.720 Of course, we encouraged it for years.

00:21:34.600 But part of that, the destruction is the point.

00:21:38.140 Yes.

00:21:38.820 Yeah.

00:21:39.440 Well, creating the crisis so that inaction becomes the solution.

00:21:43.020 Right.

00:21:43.940 The messaging we're getting is exactly as you just said, Josh Hobbs.

00:21:46.740 It's it's this is inhumane.

00:21:49.220 These Republicans are heartless because they think that's what's going to appeal to their base.

00:21:52.700 Here's Kareem Jean-Pierre on Morning Joe.

00:21:56.400 My God, what a combo yesterday morning.

00:21:59.360 Listen.

00:22:01.340 The president talks about how it's important to treat people with dignity.

00:22:05.920 And what you're seeing from Governor DeSantis is inhumane.

00:22:10.200 It is not solving a problem.

00:22:12.180 It is not a solution.

00:22:13.240 It is causing chaos and confusion.

00:22:16.740 And these are people who are who are fleeing communism.

00:22:21.300 I don't even know where to begin processing all of that.

00:22:25.420 Well, I'll tell you what. 1.00

00:22:27.320 Voters have processed that bullshit. 1.00

00:22:29.820 Latino voters in this country have processed that bullshit. 1.00

00:22:32.420 And they support Republicans in this midterm election. 1.00

00:22:35.460 Yeah.

00:22:35.720 And I think that this is not something that Democrats really thought was going to happen.

00:22:40.340 But it's something that's happening in states all across the country.

00:22:43.320 You have Latino voters moving in record amounts to Republicans.

00:22:46.440 Because they want change.

00:22:48.240 They want an economy that works.

00:22:49.600 It was a horrible. 1.00

00:22:50.260 They're tired of the bullshit. 1.00

00:22:51.060 It was horrible that the Democrats somehow thought that, well, Latinos must support illegal immigration. 1.00

00:22:58.040 What's the exact opposite?

00:22:59.140 Right.

00:22:59.640 I mean, what kind of expectations are you seeing that?

00:23:01.480 Like, yes, we think this community will like people who break the law.

00:23:05.780 Yeah.

00:23:06.080 Yeah.

00:23:06.220 Yeah.

00:23:06.380 It's awful.

00:23:07.000 It's unbelievable.

00:23:07.580 Let's let's talk about dignity for a second.

00:23:10.380 If you want to treat the Latino community in America with dignity, don't assume that they 1.00

00:23:15.140 support people breaking the law.

00:23:16.800 Don't assume they want to be called Latinx.

00:23:19.460 They don't want to be called Latinx.

00:23:20.380 Don't call them tacos either.

00:23:22.020 Don't do not compare them to tacos.

00:23:24.300 Take a lesson, Mrs. Vice President or Mrs. First Lady.

00:23:28.900 Excuse me, doctor.

00:23:29.980 Doctor.

00:23:30.520 Sorry, you're right.

00:23:31.220 Doctor.

00:23:31.540 Doctor First Lady. 1.00

00:23:32.300 So I love that it's inhumane to send these immigrants to Washington, D.C., to New York 1.00

00:23:39.420 City, to Chicago, to, you know, all these great towns.

00:23:42.940 OK, so that's inhumane.

00:23:43.860 Or is it just DeSantis sending the 50 to Martha's Vineyard?

00:23:48.140 Because no one's saying Martha's Vineyard is bad.

00:23:49.980 What they're saying is he didn't give any notice.

00:23:52.640 You know, I guess Abbott and Ducey will give the receiving time.

00:23:55.440 But I'm just wondering whether it does does Eagle Pass get notice when the you know, when

00:24:01.660 the migrants run across the border, does does the people on the other side of the Rio 0.99

00:24:05.440 Grand get a bunch of notice when people are coming on?

00:24:07.620 They're drowning.

00:24:08.260 We watched a boy almost drowned to death yesterday on camera.

00:24:11.640 Is that humane by telling them it's open borders?

00:24:14.660 We Fox News has got the guys on tape saying, yeah, it's open border.

00:24:17.960 We understand it's an open border.

00:24:19.720 People are dying. 0.99

00:24:20.580 You're getting raped, as you point out. 0.99

00:24:21.920 Michael, how is that humane? 0.99

00:24:23.900 You want to focus on these 50 migrants who were treated like kings and queens for 48

00:24:27.680 hours before they got the boot by Martha's Vineyard residents.

00:24:31.280 Let's look at the bigger picture, but they won't.

00:24:34.660 Well, I mean, it is inhumane in the sense that, you know, as she described, these are

00:24:38.740 people escaping communism and then they're being sent to D.C.

00:24:41.900 and New York.

00:24:42.480 We're finding the biggest proponents of communism in the Western Hemisphere.

00:24:46.120 So it could be inhumane.

00:24:47.400 That is particular.

00:24:50.000 Let me just like flip it on its head for a minute.

00:24:52.900 And what she's talking about is being inhumane on on what Governor DeSantis did.

00:24:59.120 Let me just suggest that if what Governor DeSantis did results in liberals in this country and,

00:25:06.560 you know, people in this administration recognizing the fact that there is a border problem and

00:25:12.340 actually trying to help Republicans solve it.

00:25:15.460 The guy should win a Nobel Peace Prize.

00:25:17.540 Because at this point, there's only only been one party that says anything.

00:25:22.620 But there is no border security problem in this country.

00:25:26.200 If that just changes a half inch, give the guy the Nobel Peace Prize because he will have

00:25:31.640 achieved something that nobody else can.

00:25:36.320 I do want to ask you about another thing on Joe Biden and his comments over the past couple

00:25:41.180 of days.

00:25:41.560 And we'll go back to the Korean thing. 0.99

00:25:42.740 I'm just asking my team if they have this thought.

00:25:46.080 Joe Biden was.

00:25:48.240 Wait, no, no, no.

00:25:49.140 Did you hear the Korean jump here yesterday on, like, trying to say the border was secure, 0.98

00:25:52.840 guys?

00:25:53.680 Oh, God.

00:25:54.720 Did you hear it?

00:25:55.900 I mean, black it out.

00:25:57.020 I don't even know.

00:25:57.880 Oh, my God.

00:25:58.500 It was the worst.

00:25:59.520 I mean, I'll give her points.

00:26:00.380 She was talking on Morning Joe.

00:26:01.400 She didn't have her notes there.

00:26:02.860 She said all that.

00:26:03.600 You know, she did that without her little note card and actually managed to string two 1.00

00:26:11.060 sentences together that made some sense.

00:26:15.020 Anyway, she tried to argue that the border is secure the other day, and it was her worst

00:26:19.880 soundbite ever.

00:26:20.460 We'll pull it over and I'll play it for you in one second.

00:26:22.160 But as we wait, it turns out that Joe Biden was asked about the dark Brandon speech by Scott

00:26:27.580 Pelley.

00:26:28.120 We pointed out in the broadcast yesterday he wasn't.

00:26:30.980 It didn't make the piece.

00:26:32.160 Well, maybe even worse than that.

00:26:34.160 Pelley felt the need to ask about it.

00:26:35.440 And then the editors at 60 Minutes were like, no one cares about dark Brandon.

00:26:39.420 Oh, we got it.

00:26:39.900 OK, stand right.

00:26:41.000 Hold on on dark Brandon, because I just got to show you Karine Jean-Pierre on whether the

00:26:44.440 border is secure.

00:26:45.440 Watch this, please.

00:26:47.560 Does the White House stand by those comments that the border is secure?

00:26:51.540 What we stand by is that we are doing everything that we can to make sure that that we follow

00:26:59.340 the process that's been put forth.

00:27:01.320 That's why we have historic funding to do just that, to make sure that, you know, to

00:27:10.780 make sure that to make sure that the folks that we encounter at the border be removed

00:27:17.960 or expelled.

00:27:19.320 And Morning Joe said, let's book her.

00:27:23.680 I think she took some speaking lessons from Kamala Harris on that one. 0.97

00:27:27.460 Didn't it sound like it?

00:27:28.780 It sounded like the vice president.

00:27:31.660 Yeah.

00:27:31.840 Where she starts a sentence and meanders and has no idea how she's going to finish it,

00:27:36.100 but for some reason keeps talking.

00:27:38.280 I got to give Ashford credit.

00:27:39.580 But he points out consistently how easy it is to be like a Democrat communications staffer.

00:27:46.600 Easiest job in this whole business.

00:27:48.440 You could write a press release.

00:27:49.040 You could write a press release and crayon and the media would write it up word for word.

00:27:55.600 Wow.

00:27:55.800 Michelangelo Sistine Chapel's got nothing on it.

00:27:57.680 The Morning Joe interview is a perfect example.

00:28:01.700 I mean, there she is just saying her talking point.

00:28:03.960 And Mika's like, oh, yes.

00:28:05.180 Yes.

00:28:05.640 Great point.

00:28:06.900 What is this supposed to be like?

00:28:09.160 News television?

00:28:10.320 It's emblematic of Biden's campaign where he just hides and the media carries him across

00:28:15.840 as much as they can.

00:28:17.360 And now we have a crisis, a legitimate humanitarian crisis happening on our southern border.

00:28:21.860 And the media is yet against scrambling to try and hold this administration together when

00:28:26.940 Americans with their own eyes are now seeing how awful it is.

00:28:30.020 People in Martha's Vineyard are now seeing for the first time with their own eyes how

00:28:32.600 awful it is.

00:28:33.700 And I think it shows so much that this administration has zero answers.

00:28:37.520 When she's up there stammering and flipping the pages for 30 seconds, your job is supposed

00:28:42.520 to communicate what this administration's position is if they have a position and the lack

00:28:46.740 of one creates the crisis.

00:28:47.900 Well, yes.

00:28:48.480 Yes or no question.

00:28:49.640 Yes or no question.

00:28:50.420 How does this administration reconcile that answer, right, with the footage that we still

00:28:56.340 see every single day from the border?

00:28:58.260 Bill Malugin from Fox has been doing a great job.

00:29:00.500 Incredible job.

00:29:01.280 He has.

00:29:01.580 I saw the video of literally hundreds of migrants just walking down the side of a highway in Texas.

00:29:07.900 Are those people being expelled and removed?

00:29:10.140 What about the people who are dying in the back of these trucks?

00:29:12.460 That's big news twice over the past six months where you've got up to 100 migrants dead in

00:29:18.000 the back of a truck because they're left there.

00:29:19.740 So they somebody ditches them.

00:29:21.720 It's 100 degrees out.

00:29:23.240 They have no food or water and they die.

00:29:25.200 I don't remember her weighing in on that dying in there from heat from from the heat.

00:29:29.300 Right.

00:29:29.860 With your family.

00:29:30.800 No, where's the horror of that?

00:29:31.980 Where's consider themselves a human?

00:29:33.300 Megan, Megan, where's their class action lawsuit?

00:29:36.480 Oh, they don't get one.

00:29:37.380 Where's this liberal group there?

00:29:39.300 Yeah.

00:29:39.620 You.

00:29:40.580 Yeah, no, exactly right.

00:29:41.660 All right.

00:29:41.860 So listen, I'll save dark Brandon and Pelley asking Biden about it. 0.95

00:29:46.880 And you wait until you hear his his defense on it.

00:29:55.300 Guys, Scott Pelley did ask Joe Biden about the dark Brandon speech.

00:29:59.840 And I want you to we cut a little bit longer soundbite, OK, because he asks him about conflating

00:30:06.100 what Scott Pelley seems to understand is the evil MAGA Republicans with like the normal

00:30:11.940 Republicans.

00:30:13.620 And Biden kind of tries to deny that he does it.

00:30:16.860 And in this clip.

00:30:18.000 Is a clip of dark Brandon.

00:30:21.240 So it's important to listen to what Biden actually says in that clip within this clip.

00:30:25.640 Watch.

00:30:26.260 You'll understand.

00:30:27.420 Sir, in your Philadelphia speech recently, you warned of MAGA Republicans, those who attacked

00:30:33.700 the Capitol.

00:30:34.340 But later in the speech, you conflated them with people who disagree with you on abortion.

00:30:40.480 And I wonder, no, I do not.

00:30:43.180 That's a misreading of my speech.

00:30:44.940 It's a fundamental misreading of my speech.

00:30:47.180 Well, sir, you talked about the right to choose.

00:30:50.520 You talk about the right to conception.

00:30:52.600 You talk about the right to marry the person you love.

00:30:56.400 MAGA forces are determined to take this country backwards, backwards to an America where there

00:31:04.520 is no right to choose, no right to privacy, no right to contraception, no right to marry 0.97

00:31:11.040 who you love.

00:31:12.220 I was making a speech about the state of affairs and the Republican Party and us.

00:31:17.240 I wasn't just talking about MAGA Republicans.

00:31:20.260 The MAGA Republicans are the people who say refuse to acknowledge that an election took place

00:31:26.000 and there was a winner.

00:31:27.380 The MAGA Republicans are those people who, in fact, say that the use of violence is a

00:31:33.000 legitimate tool like what happened to the Capitol.

00:31:35.840 They're the MAGA Republicans. 0.72

00:31:37.420 You can't call yourself a Democratic Republic and support violence internally against the

00:31:44.940 government and at the same time talk about not recognizing the outcome of the election

00:31:49.860 that's overwhelmingly agreed to be legitimate.

00:31:53.340 Do you fear that speech created more division than unity in the country?

00:31:57.420 No, I don't fear that at all.

00:31:59.000 I think a significant portion of mainstream Republicans know it to be true and agree.

00:32:08.020 All over the board.

00:32:10.240 So first of all, Pelley says you conflate MAGA Republicans with people who support, you know,

00:32:16.640 who are pro-life.

00:32:17.840 Absolutely not.

00:32:19.020 You're misrepresenting my speech.

00:32:21.260 Then you hear the speech where he clearly says MAGA forces are determined to take this

00:32:25.560 country back to the place where you had no right to choose.

00:32:27.600 Now, that's clearly tying MAGA Republicans to the pro-life movement.

00:32:32.160 If you're a pro-lifer, you're a MAGA Republican who's an election denier.

00:32:35.280 That's clear that that was the takeaway by many people on the right who listen to this,

00:32:39.440 even never Trumpers, even like some pals I listened to at the Dispatch or National

00:32:43.060 Review who don't like Trump. 1.00

00:32:44.600 We're kind of like, you know, bullshit, you know, bullshit. 0.99

00:32:47.280 We may not be Trump fans, but don't lump us in with election deniers just because 1.00

00:32:50.980 we're pro-life.

00:32:52.180 So that's what Pelley was trying to push him on.

00:32:54.560 Absolutely did not do that.

00:32:55.800 I did not do that.

00:32:56.880 And then on the out, Biden basically says, well, all Republicans are bad.

00:33:02.220 What I'm trying to say is, I'm really trying to tell you they're all bad.

00:33:09.800 In fairness, Megan, this president has a long and demonstrated record of having absolutely

00:33:16.320 no memory of what he said.

00:33:17.740 This has been this has been an entire presidency filled with senior moments.

00:33:24.440 Yeah.

00:33:24.880 Where he's like, no, no, no, I never said that.

00:33:27.300 Like, well, I mean, here's the tape.

00:33:28.780 I mean, the funny thing is, is in the same the most notable omission of what he actually

00:33:34.400 said happened six months ago when he said he would use forces in Taiwan.

00:33:38.220 Right.

00:33:38.580 If China had an incursion and then the White House had to walk it back, walked it back. 0.70

00:33:43.300 But then he was asked directly after that.

00:33:45.500 And he said, no, I never said that.

00:33:47.780 And then now in the same interview that we're talking about, that question happened again.

00:33:52.500 Right.

00:33:53.120 And he said he gave his answer.

00:33:54.200 I mean, he literally the only plausible answer to any of this is he has no clue what it is

00:34:01.100 that he ends up saying that the Biden doctrine knows exactly what he's saying.

00:34:05.240 And he just his daddies at the White House keep trying to dial it back.

00:34:08.540 It's like it's like me.

00:34:10.160 No, Thatcher cannot have a play date on Sunday. 1.00

00:34:12.840 Yes, I can.

00:34:13.440 Mom, I set it up.

00:34:14.540 No, he cannot.

00:34:16.100 Joe, Joey cannot play members of the media.

00:34:18.620 We will not play in Taiwan.

00:34:20.100 It's embarrassing.

00:34:20.920 The the entire Biden doctrine is dependent on which synapses are firing in his brain

00:34:26.880 that day.

00:34:28.700 It's throwing blocks.

00:34:30.940 Can I tell you something?

00:34:31.880 This isn't even going to work because there was a poll just out today.

00:34:36.060 I'm trying to think who put it was a new Harvard Caps Harris poll that asked about this term

00:34:41.520 MAGA Republicans.

00:34:42.640 And the question was, are you more concerned about the socialist left in America and the

00:34:46.400 power they're gaining or more afraid of MAGA Republicans and the power they're getting?

00:34:51.340 Just 45 percent said we're more concerned with MAGA Republicans.

00:34:54.980 Fifty five percent said way more concerned about the socialist left.

00:34:59.200 Wow.

00:34:59.980 Yeah.

00:35:00.180 Boy, that is telling.

00:35:01.300 I mean, that is so telling.

00:35:02.700 And I got to be honest with you, like as your typical kid growing up in America, whenever

00:35:07.340 I heard the clock on 60 minutes or for 60 minutes on Sunday afternoon, that's how I knew

00:35:11.600 the fun was over.

00:35:12.780 Yeah.

00:35:13.140 Football was done and Monday was on around the corner.

00:35:15.760 Yeah.

00:35:15.960 But but this interview was special.

00:35:17.760 And like, I guess I shouldn't be surprised that that Pelley and and company didn't include

00:35:23.400 this particular clip on the broadcast version.

00:35:26.960 But there were a lot of bangers in that broadcast version. 1.00

00:35:29.960 I mean, you had Biden saying incredibly stupid things over and over and over again. 0.99

00:35:35.980 And to your point, Megan, I'm even though the media is their friend, I'm shocked that 0.99

00:35:41.860 they put him they put him in front of this in this interview because he just did not look

00:35:45.820 good.

00:35:45.980 Well, I think I think the reason why the media is doing that to Joe Biden right now is

00:35:50.560 because I think the media recognizes that this argument, this painting with a broad brush

00:35:55.720 about, you know, these MAGA Republicans, they they're going to take over our country 0.79

00:36:00.860 and every, you know, Republicans are domestic terrorists.

00:36:03.180 They realize that that rhetoric and that argument is a party that's in its death throes ahead

00:36:09.040 of the midterm.

00:36:09.880 Yes.

00:36:10.100 And if that's what their argument is for why you should reelect united Democratic control

00:36:15.380 of Washington, that it's not going to work.

00:36:17.680 And so the media, I think, is sort of refereeing that argument a little bit because they know

00:36:22.140 it's going to fail.

00:36:24.040 Well, the more they can put Trump in the news, the better, as they see.

00:36:26.580 So that's why we had Dark Brandon and them trying to, you know, tell the world that all

00:36:30.720 Republicans are part of MAGA Republicans and bad and evil and you need to vote against

00:36:35.240 them.

00:36:35.900 But I don't know.

00:36:37.540 It feels to me like the Senate races we're watching are getting tighter.

00:36:42.240 You know, Carrie Lake, who the media has universally tried to demonize running for 1.00

00:36:46.900 Senate out in Arizona, is now at least even like even when she was 12 points behind the

00:36:53.960 Democrat.

00:36:54.860 She's running for governor. 1.00

00:36:56.080 Yeah, governor.

00:36:56.740 Sorry.

00:36:57.000 Sorry.

00:36:57.240 OK.

00:36:59.040 So anyway, these these races are tightening as the Trump Mar-a-Lago thing drifts from

00:37:03.660 the news and they'll do whatever they can to get Trump back in the news.

00:37:06.680 And that leads me to today where Tish James, the attorney general of New York, has now filed

00:37:12.100 a civil fraud case against the Trump organization, Donald Trump.

00:37:16.560 I think it's also against Eric Trump, Don Jr.

00:37:19.240 and Ivanka Trump, where she's going to allege that they committed some sort of a fraud. 1.00

00:37:23.720 She's been sniffing around on this for the better part of a year.

00:37:26.260 This is the case in which Trump asserted his Fifth Amendment rights not to testify at his

00:37:30.760 deposition because he's accurate that she wants to come after him and he chose not to give

00:37:35.620 any fodder.

00:37:37.140 But anyway, so she's filed a case against him and his kids trying to claim that they they

00:37:41.860 overstated the value of their assets in order to get better deals.

00:37:44.740 I don't know what they'll that'll play out.

00:37:46.780 It's a civil case, again, not criminal.

00:37:49.140 But at the same time, you got a poll coming out of Florida showing for the first time I

00:37:54.840 can remember you guys are much closer to it.

00:37:58.500 Trump is losing to DeSantis among GOP voters in Florida by seven by eight points.

00:38:05.300 I think it is.

00:38:05.820 I think it's 48 percent for DeSantis, 40 percent for Trump.

00:38:09.120 And in January, it was the reverse.

00:38:12.100 It was Trump, 47 and DeSantis, I think, 40.

00:38:16.520 So it's been a 14, 15 point swing in Florida in favor of Ron DeSantis over Trump.

00:38:23.820 So is the nonstop focus on Trump working?

00:38:26.820 And is it working to if it's working for I don't know.

00:38:30.600 I don't know if it's working for Biden, but is it actually working for DeSantis?

00:38:35.520 Well, look, I think these are two separate issues, Megan.

00:38:38.760 The first issue, which concerns me a lot and not even touching the substance of all of these

00:38:44.100 various investigations or prosecutions against Trump entities.

00:38:48.900 It is amazing to me that for somehow all of these things and what they're talking about

00:38:53.720 with this this latest litigation are things that happen like years, if not decades previous.

00:39:00.580 It is amazing that all of this has all been sort of sitting around for as long as it has

00:39:05.420 until within 100 days of an election.

00:39:07.600 All of a sudden you have a deep concern about classified information that for a year and

00:39:13.580 a half was apparently sitting in the Mar-a-Lago and nobody had any concern about it until 100

00:39:18.840 days before an election, right?

00:39:21.240 Nobody, Tish James and all these various investigations into Donald Trump and his businesses, that's

00:39:27.720 been around forever.

00:39:28.480 But all of a sudden we're 60 days within an election and that becomes a big issue.

00:39:32.480 If you're an American, I don't care what your opinion is, if Donald Trump or anything else,

00:39:36.800 if you're an American, boy, that does it feels an awful lot like a political agenda within

00:39:42.720 the confines of our justicism.

00:39:44.680 And there is nothing, and I mean nothing, more dangerous to the survival of our republic.

00:39:50.520 And they like to talk about our democracy a lot over there.

00:39:53.240 There is nothing more dangerous than the idea that the average American thinks that their

00:39:57.900 government will prosecute you entirely with a political agenda if you just so happen to

00:40:03.140 have some opinions they disagree with.

00:40:05.100 And I mean, I think that's the most clear cut case that we have right here with Tish James,

00:40:10.240 where, I mean, there was a video that went viral of in Manhattan, a guy is swinging a

00:40:15.940 hatchet, attacking people inside a McDonald's.

00:40:18.700 OK, yes.

00:40:19.360 And then he's back out.

00:40:20.580 He's back out on the streets.

00:40:21.660 All right.

00:40:22.520 But they're worried about how do we how do we file cases against Republicans right right

00:40:27.160 during election season?

00:40:28.920 That's the focus.

00:40:30.080 Your job is supposed to be defending the public from criminals.

00:40:33.680 And what they're trying to do is attack their political enemies.

00:40:37.880 Her priorities are 100 percent based on politics, zero percent based on what is good for the

00:40:43.560 public of New York.

00:40:44.800 People there every day are dealing with crime.

00:40:47.120 It's unspeakable.

00:40:47.780 Like when you go to New York City, it's still to this day a shell of its former self.

00:40:51.980 It still hasn't come back. 0.78

00:40:53.100 Disgusting right now.

00:40:53.520 People there are terrified.

00:40:55.280 Well, and speaking of focus, and I think this answers the second part of your question,

00:40:58.760 Megan, you know, the reason why Ron DeSantis, I think, is sort of going up in these national

00:41:03.460 polls for 2024 is because of his focus, right?

00:41:07.160 He is focusing on all of the issues that animate the Republican Party, and he's actually

00:41:12.100 fighting and winning on these issues.

00:41:13.760 You look at issues like schools, you look at issues like immigration, and he has that

00:41:18.300 sort of combative nature to him where he's taking on the media in a way that, frankly,

00:41:22.780 a lot of Republicans have failed at, you know, that they've accepted the framing.

00:41:26.320 Don't you find it extraordinary that in Florida, in Florida, Trump would be losing to DeSantis?

00:41:31.000 I realize DeSantis is governor of Florida, but Trump is, you know, he's at Mar-a-Lago.

00:41:35.240 It's like, that seems to me like deep Trump territory.

00:41:39.660 It does seem to me there's a way forward for DeSantis if these numbers are real.

00:41:44.140 Go ahead.

00:41:44.460 I think just as Duncan described, like DeSantis has a huge advantage in the sense that he's

00:41:49.540 in a position as the governor of Florida to be able to take on these issues.

00:41:54.920 But it's a lot of credit to him that he is completely focused on these issues.

00:41:59.480 What matters to the people?

00:42:00.780 What matters to the voters of Florida?

00:42:03.020 He's going head on right after.

00:42:05.300 Like, every story that you read about Ron DeSantis is not about Ron DeSantis.

00:42:10.020 It's about Ron DeSantis did this thing.

00:42:12.840 That's true.

00:42:13.380 And the thing that he did is attacking an issue that the voters in Florida concerned with.

00:42:16.900 Well, that's exactly right.

00:42:18.080 One of the great things that Donald Trump did for our party was showed so many people

00:42:22.500 how to fight, how to take it to the press, how to take it to the enemies.

00:42:26.260 And what Ron DeSantis is doing right now is just that.

00:42:29.040 He's leading.

00:42:29.940 He's showing people.

00:42:31.000 And, you know, Megan, you know, in journalism, it's so much more powerful to show than to

00:42:35.240 tell.

00:42:36.200 And that's what Ron DeSantis seems to be doing over and over and over again.

00:42:39.420 It's sort of like what Trump did over and over and over again in 2015.

00:42:42.360 There's also this old maximum in politics where you're never going to have a successful

00:42:49.840 case to voters by focusing on the rearview mirror, right?

00:42:54.000 Almost everybody looks forward either to change or to help build on something they agree with.

00:43:00.420 It's always a perspective vision, right?

00:43:02.940 And I've said this for over a year now with former President Trump.

00:43:07.040 Now, his omni-focus on the 2020 election will gradually become more and more out of step

00:43:13.860 with even Republican voters who agree with him on the case that he's making because things

00:43:20.020 change, right?

00:43:21.220 The economy becomes extremely critical to middle class families and trying to figure out how

00:43:26.300 you're going to pay for groceries, right?

00:43:28.220 Illegal immigration is something that, I mean, if you're not a border town dealing with an 1.00

00:43:33.400 opioid epidemic or human trafficking is a real issue.

00:43:37.240 So and some of these cultural things that DeSantis has talked about with Disney and with

00:43:41.560 the schools and everything in Florida, like all of those things are experiences that people

00:43:48.300 are living in real time, right?

00:43:50.280 And that is so much more powerful to your average individual voter than something that

00:43:54.760 happened two years ago and you feel crummy about.

00:43:58.340 It's true.

00:43:58.640 It's just the way it makes voters feel like, oh, he gets what I'm going through.

00:44:03.580 He understands what's happening in my school district or at the border or all these things

00:44:08.420 that DeSantis is touching on.

00:44:10.140 Whereas Trump has been a one trick pony for two years now, obsessing over the election.

00:44:17.160 And even if you believe he he had it stolen from him, I'm not in that camp.

00:44:22.480 But even if you believe that at some point, you have to see what a terrible strategy this

00:44:27.760 is for somebody like Trump who may want to run again.

00:44:31.700 Now, let me run this by you.

00:44:33.100 Talk to a guy who used to be high up in the RNC, right?

00:44:36.420 And he said, Trump's not going to run again.

00:44:39.540 Trump just can't say that he's not going to run again.

00:44:43.900 And he said he would never declare anyway, because as soon as he declares, like if he

00:44:49.940 were to declare tomorrow on the chance that he is going to run again, the RNC could no

00:44:55.560 longer pay his legal bills.

00:44:56.960 They couldn't support him with his legal bills because the RNC has to stay neutral so they

00:45:01.260 can't be funding one guy's legal bills.

00:45:03.500 So that I thought that was kind of interesting that like Trump will have to delay if he's going

00:45:09.240 to announce that he's running as long as humanly possible because he's got a lot of legal

00:45:13.360 bills.

00:45:13.980 But but it was this guy's strong belief that he will not run again, that he's too worried

00:45:18.280 about losing.

00:45:19.300 Well, to my understanding, I think the RNC has stopped paying those bills.

00:45:22.760 I think it was unfortunately right around the time that this latest, you know, case against

00:45:28.160 Trump came up right before that is when I think some kind of like time period left or

00:45:33.020 whatever.

00:45:33.380 The RNC is no longer paying for his attorneys that it's now being paid by the outside group

00:45:38.120 that that Trump manages.

00:45:39.460 Yeah, the Save America back actually picked up an extraordinary bill.

00:45:43.360 bill in this latest report in terms of legal.

00:45:45.820 I think it was their largest expenditure because the Demps just keep going after this

00:45:48.780 guy.

00:45:49.020 They just keep suing him.

00:45:50.320 Right.

00:45:50.560 And so, I mean, look, Megan, I think I don't know what the motivation is.

00:45:55.120 I do know that Donald Trump and his supporters very much want him to be a part of the conversation.

00:45:59.700 Right.

00:45:59.960 And I think that's why he continues to be involved.

00:46:02.740 I doubt very much that he's going to recede from the national scene in one way or another.

00:46:07.300 Either he runs or he's going to have an instrumental role in that nomination process.

00:46:12.440 Yeah.

00:46:12.760 Well, I don't know.

00:46:13.220 I mean, what Republicans could win if they didn't get his blessing?

00:46:17.740 Yeah.

00:46:18.120 I mean, we'll find out.

00:46:19.060 Right.

00:46:19.280 I mean, I think that's the answer that everybody is looking for is what happens.

00:46:23.640 I mean, ultimately, as a Ron DeSantis, somebody who captures the imagination of the Republican

00:46:27.220 Party, you know, Trump or not.

00:46:29.460 And I just don't know the answer to that yet.

00:46:31.360 Yeah.

00:46:31.800 You got to get there.

00:46:32.660 You got to get a scenario where Trump, if the Republicans want to win with somebody other

00:46:36.180 than Trump, where Trump endorses the guy, that core MAGA group.

00:46:39.380 I don't think they go with anybody other than Trump without the famous thumbs up from their

00:46:44.600 leader.

00:46:44.920 All right.

00:46:45.120 Stand by because the next block is going to be the best block.

00:46:47.200 We have to get to Don Lemon.

00:46:48.500 We've got to get to Sonny Hostet on The View taking an unbelievable shot at Nikki Haley. 0.99

00:46:53.200 We've got to get to the man with the huge breasts in Canada. 0.98

00:46:55.620 There's a lot to go over. 0.99

00:46:56.760 All right.

00:46:57.060 So stand by as the guys from Ruthless stay with us.

00:47:01.480 And don't forget, you can find this show, The Megyn Kelly Show, live on Sirius XM Triumph

00:47:30.180 dog at Megyn Kelly dot com. 0.99

00:47:34.480 There's more to tell.

00:47:35.600 There's so much to get to.

00:47:40.940 So the ladies of The View decide to talk about Nikki Haley.

00:47:46.820 Sunny Hostin takes a shot at Nikki Haley yesterday because they're talking about, I think, who

00:47:52.820 could either run for president or be a running mate.

00:47:56.200 And somebody throws out Liz Cheney. 0.99

00:47:58.120 Of course, The View is going to say she could be the Republican Liz Cheney. 1.00

00:48:01.940 Sure.

00:48:03.260 Or or Nikki Haley.

00:48:06.080 And Sunny Hostin takes that discussion here.

00:48:10.300 Listen, I think that Nikki Haley was incredibly effective.

00:48:13.720 Governor is a lot of people don't go by their actual.

00:48:17.320 What is her name?

00:48:18.420 I believe it's I don't want to mispronounce it.

00:48:20.580 It's Indian, but she's necessarily. 0.95

00:48:22.960 You know, I think if she leaned into I wouldn't be shocked that somebody, an Indian woman growing 1.00

00:48:29.960 up in South Carolina at that time, she actually did to avoid prejudice.

00:48:33.140 So I just want to be careful about critiquing her for going by names.

00:48:36.060 There's some of us that can be chameleons and decide not to embrace our ethnicity so that

00:48:41.200 we can pass.

00:48:41.860 Sunny, I don't think that's fair.

00:48:43.240 You go by a different name.

00:48:44.760 I didn't want to be the one to say it.

00:48:46.580 Americans can't pronounce ascension because of the undereducation. 0.98

00:48:51.140 My God. 0.98

00:48:52.960 The hypocrisy is just unbelievable. 0.99

00:48:55.360 I saw you touch your head, Duncan. 0.92

00:48:57.280 I want I want to go in on this one. 0.83

00:48:58.500 So, number one, Alyssa Farah, who we all know, is a horrible rhino who would sell anything 1.00

00:49:02.980 for cash.

00:49:03.780 Anything in the store is available for cash.

00:49:06.000 Of course, she's not an effective Republican communicator because she said straight up. 0.83

00:49:09.600 A lot of people go by different names.

00:49:11.840 Nikki Haley is her legal name.

00:49:12.960 It's on her birth certificate.

00:49:14.080 All right.

00:49:14.300 So that's that's point number one.

00:49:15.540 Number two is, as they pointed out, Sunny doesn't go by her actual name.

00:49:20.040 I don't know. 1.00

00:49:20.400 Because Americans are too dumb, Smug. 1.00

00:49:21.900 Did you hear that? 1.00

00:49:22.780 Alyssa being like that? 0.95

00:49:23.980 That's why the clip is so perfect.

00:49:25.520 South Carolina is a red state.

00:49:26.600 Of course, the people that are racist. 0.99

00:49:28.160 Who the hell? 0.96

00:49:28.960 Like, of course, the only reason they will allow a, quote, Republican on that show is 0.96

00:49:33.540 if they're declawed house cat that they can throw around.

00:49:36.360 Yeah.

00:49:36.620 And that's Alyssa Farah's job.

00:49:37.820 She was willing to sell her soul for that much.

00:49:39.720 Right.

00:49:40.480 And to get that point wrong about, well, maybe she made up her name.

00:49:44.620 Nikki Haley is her legal name.

00:49:45.820 It's on her birth certificate.

00:49:47.200 And Sunny.

00:49:47.720 Sunny's not that woman's name.

00:49:49.280 You saw on the clip.

00:49:50.600 No, but here's what's so crazy about it.

00:49:52.940 So this is why I love the clip so much, because at the end, Sunny's like one of them points

00:49:57.900 out, you know, Sunny's not your legal name.

00:49:59.280 And she's like, that's because no one in America can pronounce Ascension because of the ill

00:50:04.840 education that we.

00:50:06.220 So it's America's fault. 1.00

00:50:08.160 Like, we're racist and we're stupid and we're poorly educated. 1.00

00:50:11.860 That's why she had to go with Sunny. 1.00

00:50:14.580 But Nikki Haley just chose to pass. 0.70

00:50:18.300 And that's why she went with Nikki.

00:50:19.380 So Nikki Haley response.

00:50:21.120 I thought I was like, oh, shots fired.

00:50:23.820 Shots fired.

00:50:24.840 Nikki Haley tweeted out yesterday in response to this clip.

00:50:28.940 Thanks for your concern, Sunny.

00:50:30.820 It's racist of you to judge my name.

00:50:32.780 Boom.

00:50:33.620 Nikki is an is an Indian name and is on my birth certificate.

00:50:37.760 And I'm proud of that.

00:50:39.040 What's sad is the left's hypocrisy toward conservative minorities.

00:50:43.340 By the way, last I checked, Sunny is not your birth name.

00:50:46.220 Oh, my God, I'm dying.

00:50:47.600 Get her. 0.58

00:50:48.440 That's it right there.

00:50:49.960 It is just remarkable lack of self-awareness for this woman, Sunny, whose name is not Sunny 0.96

00:50:57.120 to be critiquing Nikki Haley, whose name is Nikki for not representing her culture.

00:51:03.300 I mean, just incredible.

00:51:04.180 But in case that wasn't sort of the coup de grace, the segment was ended by Whoopi Goldberg,

00:51:10.200 whose birth name is not Whoopi Goldberg.

00:51:13.000 No, no.

00:51:13.800 I mean, this whole thing is just absolutely amazing.

00:51:16.980 It's like a perfect storm of hilarity.

00:51:19.320 Nor is AOC AOC.

00:51:22.080 AOC is Sandy.

00:51:23.780 You could not even write.

00:51:27.100 If you were in the writer's room of SNL, you couldn't write this skit and get it on the air.

00:51:30.680 They'd say this one.

00:51:31.460 There's no way this is real.

00:51:32.620 How do they, I mean, honestly, I mean this sincerely, and I guess people do watch The

00:51:37.160 View, which is amazing to me because it's like you get this level of intellect on a day-to-day

00:51:41.760 basis.

00:51:42.720 That's got to be doing something to you, right?

00:51:44.920 But like, how does this show persist in a way that like producers and everybody else are

00:51:51.040 like, good point, ladies. 1.00

00:51:53.000 This is really extraordinary content.

00:51:55.180 Thank you.

00:51:55.500 So, or do they just not care?

00:51:56.840 I mean, you tell me, Megan, because you're, you have way more experience in this line

00:52:01.240 of work than we will ever have.

00:52:02.980 How can they look at that and be like, well, this is a solid product.

00:52:05.880 So it's like, first of all, they're hearing their own politics reinforced.

00:52:09.540 So they're like, yeah, right on.

00:52:10.980 Yes.

00:52:11.480 Killed it. 0.99

00:52:12.220 Knocked it out of the park.

00:52:13.420 So that's the entire producing staff there is on the team of Sonny and Whoopi and Joy

00:52:19.280 Behar.

00:52:19.700 So they love it. 0.99

00:52:20.860 Um, and then secondly, it's like 11 o'clock in the morning and there's shit on. 0.99

00:52:25.060 So it's like, you're good. 0.93

00:52:26.040 You're like, what are you up against?

00:52:27.440 Absolutely nothing.

00:52:28.220 You're fine.

00:52:28.820 Don't worry.

00:52:29.440 You don't have to worry about ratings.

00:52:30.580 This is basically a place filler till we get to the content, content that we actually

00:52:33.980 care about.

00:52:34.500 I just can't get over the fact that Sonny Hostin basically says, I had to change my name 1.00

00:52:40.180 because Americans are too racist and stupid to pronounce Ascension. 1.00

00:52:45.200 Don't, but Nikki Haley did it because she's some scumbag minority trying to pass as white. 1.00

00:52:51.900 Like the incendiary nature of what she said with just like, I mean, calling her a chameleon. 0.99

00:52:59.440 She called her chameleon, a chameleon.

00:53:01.480 That's an absolute slur.

00:53:02.620 And then Alyssa Farrow is going to get up tomorrow and go on the show again. 1.00

00:53:05.400 Yeah.

00:53:05.600 It's like, I mean, I just cannot imagine any Republican sitting through that segment in

00:53:11.180 person and then going back to the show the next day and cashing a paycheck.

00:53:15.380 I mean, it's just Alyssa Farrow wants to be a star. 0.63

00:53:18.480 She does not want to be true to any ideals that she may or may not have had.

00:53:22.200 Sorry, Michael, keep going.

00:53:23.760 Well, I just, you know, I think it's it's a show where she's paid to show up every day 0.97

00:53:28.460 and lose the argument.

00:53:30.000 And I can't imagine that being part of your life.

00:53:33.000 In that in that sense, well cast.

00:53:37.360 D Claude Cat was pretty good.

00:53:39.140 I got to say, I think that nails it.

00:53:40.940 All right.

00:53:41.140 So much other fun to move on to.

00:53:42.960 Speaking of, I don't know, so many places to go with what I was about to say.

00:53:47.240 Let's just move on to Don Lemon.

00:53:48.700 OK, I don't need a long wind up.

00:53:52.060 Don Lemon is in the news because he's been booted off of his primetime show.

00:53:58.840 Shocking with the ratings he was pulling in.

00:54:01.960 He's been booted off his primetime show, but they couldn't fire the guy.

00:54:05.780 So they turfed him to the morning, which is oblivion on in cable news.

00:54:09.660 Right.

00:54:10.020 Unless you're Fox and friends, you got nothing going on.

00:54:12.140 Morning, Joe.

00:54:12.640 Nothing going on.

00:54:13.420 Certainly CNN has absolutely nothing going on.

00:54:15.140 Never has.

00:54:16.100 So they turfed him to the morning show where he's gotten two co-hosts, not one, but two

00:54:19.660 co-hosts.

00:54:20.820 So let me just tell you, for the record, when you go from solo anchoring your own primetime

00:54:25.680 show to the early morning where you have two other anchors, it's not a good day.

00:54:30.480 That's not a good thing.

00:54:31.700 But you would not know that if you heard Don Lemon talking about his new big move, because

00:54:37.740 according to him, this is a promotion.

00:54:40.400 Listen, I was presented with an opportunity that I can't pass up at this network, and

00:54:48.100 I am honored that he asked me to do it.

00:54:50.220 And for all of those who are out there saying, oh, he moved me and without my, he asked me

00:54:55.660 and I said yes.

00:54:56.420 I could have said no, but I was not demoted.

00:54:59.000 None of that.

00:54:59.820 This is an opportunity.

00:55:00.880 This is a promotion.

00:55:01.980 This is an opportunity for me to create something around me, and I get to work with two great

00:55:09.420 ladies who... 1.00

00:55:10.400 Oh, my God.

00:55:11.600 Oh, my God.

00:55:12.020 That's an opportunity for me to create something around me.

00:55:16.140 Around me?

00:55:16.780 Because that's what news is.

00:55:17.480 You mean a bit more about you than your own show with just you?

00:55:20.000 Because that doesn't...

00:55:21.060 Can I just tell you?

00:55:21.720 There's only one proper response to that claim.

00:55:24.260 Only one.

00:55:25.040 We pulled the entire clip.

00:55:26.460 It's from the movie, not the original show.

00:55:28.980 Watch.

00:55:30.940 That's funny.

00:55:31.980 I've never heard of George Glass at our school.

00:55:34.640 That's because he's a transfer student.

00:55:36.880 He came in the last week of school.

00:55:38.860 He's really good looking.

00:55:40.400 And he thinks I'm super cool.

00:55:43.120 Sure, Jan.

00:55:47.740 Oh, that's great.

00:55:52.200 Sure.

00:55:53.020 Sure, Jan.

00:55:54.200 It's a perfect way to handle that.

00:55:55.760 Well, I'm remarkably self-absorbed to think that your average viewer is tuning in to CNN

00:56:01.180 and wants to know the inner workings, minutiae.

00:56:04.440 My thoughts.

00:56:05.060 You know, my thoughts on where I get assigned to do a show.

00:56:08.060 It's just incredible.

00:56:08.920 I mean, I think it was up to me.

00:56:10.180 I think what we saw is just like a slice of trauma where he's got to walk through. 0.99

00:56:13.840 He's just been told, you know, the new leadership's like, your show is absolute garbage. 0.98

00:56:17.920 You're going to be fired or, you know, maybe we can throw you on some morning show. 0.99

00:56:22.300 And he was like, so I was presented with an opportunity.

00:56:24.200 He told you to get the hell out of the building or do some like piddly morning show.

00:56:29.800 And he was like, wow, what an opportunity.

00:56:32.380 Right.

00:56:32.860 And now CNN has got two, actually three.

00:56:36.000 I think Lemon Show may have been two hours.

00:56:37.700 Three hours of its prime time vacant.

00:56:40.680 And I got to say, I'm liking it a lot better.

00:56:42.140 Honestly, if it was just those cable bars, you know, the color bars, I don't think it

00:56:49.640 would do any worse than the ratings, to be honest.

00:56:51.780 I mean, it's been an absolute train wreck for years.

00:56:55.320 But you know what?

00:56:56.900 Go ahead.

00:56:57.440 I was going to say that the thing that he traced back here is when Chris Licht, the now

00:57:02.220 CEO, took over at CNN, he was saying, basically, we're going to try to get back into the news

00:57:06.400 business, which is easier said than done at CNN because it's been this way for a long time.

00:57:09.940 And they kind of like systematically worked his way through the staff, right?

00:57:13.180 Yeah.

00:57:13.380 The potato.

00:57:14.100 Brian Stelter got the ax.

00:57:15.600 John Harwood got the ax.

00:57:17.360 They start, you know, and they're like working their way down.

00:57:19.520 And like Lemon, I think, I mean, frankly, Lemon should be absolutely thrilled that he's got

00:57:24.740 the morning show.

00:57:25.320 I figured he was like a first round draft pick to get out of the list.

00:57:29.080 You know what I'm really going to look forward to? 0.98

00:57:30.560 Oh, silly, man.

00:57:31.100 Is that like, essentially, it's become a tradition now at CNN that their New Year's show is all 0.97

00:57:35.840 their anchors get drunk and overshare.

00:57:37.680 Yes. 1.00

00:57:37.900 I can't wait till Lemon actually says like, so he walks up and says, you're a clown. 0.99

00:57:42.740 He's going to throw me at the building. 0.97

00:57:43.800 And I accept an offer for a morning show like his drunk rant on New Year's is going to be

00:57:48.100 incredible.

00:57:48.640 That's what I'm looking forward to.

00:57:50.060 I mean, it's so, you know, that they cannot fire Don Lemon for the very reason that Don

00:57:55.760 Lemon said himself when Chris Lick took over, don't forget, I'm black and I'm gay.

00:58:00.420 I mean, literally, this is the world in which they live.

00:58:03.120 They're woke.

00:58:04.360 They're all about numbers.

00:58:05.760 They're about quotas.

00:58:07.040 And Don Lemon went on the air right after Chris Lick took over and said, I'm black and 0.55

00:58:12.080 I'm gay.

00:58:12.640 Like, don't forget, you know, Jeff Zucker.

00:58:15.000 He's the one who who found me and gave me this position, despite the fact that I am black

00:58:19.280 and I'm gay, just in case I didn't mention I was.

00:58:21.840 And he's he knew what he was doing.

00:58:23.460 I mean, I'm not going to say smart, but in that instance, I knew what I respect it.

00:58:26.900 I respect it.

00:58:27.920 And I think what Don Lemon should do with this new morning show is he should treat every

00:58:31.480 single morning show episode just like the New Year's New Year's Eve one.

00:58:37.620 And have Anderson Cooper come on and get blackout drunk. 1.00

00:58:40.180 Maybe we'll be morning mimosas with Don Lemon.

00:58:43.000 You know, I'd watch.

00:58:44.180 I'd watch for sure.

00:58:45.100 Be a train wreck.

00:58:46.280 I'm Don Lemon. 0.99

00:58:47.160 I'm black and gay and can't get fired. 0.88

00:58:48.440 Can't get fired. 0.98

00:58:49.060 It's like an hour of mayhem.

00:58:50.140 Like he becomes that guy at work who's an hour and a half late every day, you know,

00:58:56.120 just like daring people to fire him.

00:58:58.820 So what is they call they call the soft quit?

00:59:00.840 The soft quit.

00:59:01.380 Yeah.

00:59:01.820 Yeah.

00:59:02.360 Quiet, quiet quitting.

00:59:03.560 Yeah.

00:59:04.140 The quiet, quiet quitting.

00:59:05.560 Yes.

00:59:06.180 All right.

00:59:06.760 Now, Don Lemon may actually want to quit after the exchange he had with this British scholar.

00:59:13.240 I'll get her name so that because we need to know this woman's name and actually book 1.00

00:59:16.660 her very soon because she's amazing.

00:59:18.060 He he picked the wrong guest to try to play the reparations card with in discussing the

00:59:26.260 British throne, British colonialism over the death of Queen Elizabeth II.

00:59:31.160 Right.

00:59:31.340 So they had a discussion where Don raised that point and it went viral, not for the reasons

00:59:37.860 Don would want.

00:59:38.960 Watch.

00:59:39.220 Some people want to be paid back and and members of the public are wondering, why are

00:59:44.700 we suffering when you are you know, you have all of this vast wealth?

00:59:48.040 Those are legitimate concerns.

00:59:50.420 Well, I think you're right about reparations in terms of if people want it, though, what

00:59:54.600 they need to do is you always need to go back to the beginning of a supply chain.

00:59:58.000 Where was the beginning of the supply chain?

01:00:00.000 That was in Africa.

01:00:01.500 And when that crossed the entire world, when slavery was taking place, which was the first 0.97

01:00:06.240 nation in the world that abolished slavery, the first nation in the world to abolish it.

01:00:10.900 It was started by William Wilberforce was the British in Great Britain.

01:00:14.900 They abolished slavery.

01:00:16.360 Two thousand naval men died on the high seas trying to stop slavery.

01:00:22.100 Why?

01:00:22.860 Because the African kings were rounding up their own people. 1.00

01:00:25.700 They had them on cages waiting in the beaches.

01:00:27.880 No one was running into Africa to get them.

01:00:30.080 And I think you're totally right.

01:00:31.480 If reparations need to be paid, we need to go right back to the beginning of that supply

01:00:35.460 chain and say, who was rounding up their own people and having them handcuffing pages?

01:00:40.240 Absolutely.

01:00:40.860 That's where they should start.

01:00:42.440 And maybe, I don't know, the descendants of those families where they died in the high

01:00:46.160 seas trying to stop the slavery, that those families should receive something, too,

01:00:50.260 I think, at the same time.

01:00:53.380 It's an interesting discussion, Hillary.

01:00:55.200 Thank you very much.

01:00:55.980 I appreciate it.

01:00:57.880 Well, that's an interesting discussion.

01:01:02.840 Pretty rare you hear facts on CNN.

01:01:04.880 I think we got to let you go.

01:01:07.160 Thanks for your input.

01:01:08.920 It's like four in the morning in London.

01:01:10.600 She's bringing fire. 0.99

01:01:11.760 Outstanding work.

01:01:12.940 She just fed him face first into a wood chip. 1.00

01:01:15.840 I mean, amazing.

01:01:16.960 Oh, my God.

01:01:17.840 She was so earnest.

01:01:19.280 Her name is Hillary Ford, which she was so earnest and like so likable. 0.99

01:01:23.360 And I'm sure he was like, what the fuck is going on here? 0.88

01:01:26.980 I mean, honestly, that has to be an all time best final appearance on CNN in history. 0.99

01:01:32.360 Congratulations for her going out in a blaze of glory like that.

01:01:35.180 It's like there's a there's a film in theaters called The Woman King, right?

01:01:37.920 Where where it's about, you know, this brave warrior woman in Africa who fought and helped

01:01:43.320 a king with what they what they said that they reimagined and don't cover the story is that

01:01:47.460 actually the tribe in Africa she was with was like the most prolific slave traders in the

01:01:52.900 history of Africa.

01:01:53.880 Well, we left that out of the film to like reimagine.

01:01:56.740 It's like, oh, my God.

01:01:57.720 Like the entire left is trying to reimagine our history. 0.97

01:02:00.640 And then when when you have truth, just like slap him in the face like that.

01:02:03.740 Like, all right, well, that's an interesting point. 0.89

01:02:05.600 We're going to have to let you go.

01:02:06.460 Thank you so much.

01:02:08.120 He had nothing.

01:02:09.840 It's because all of his arguments are surface level.

01:02:12.040 He never had anybody push back.

01:02:13.280 So he was like, what?

01:02:14.760 What I love about it was the part right at the top, Megan, where he says, you know,

01:02:21.420 members of the public are wondering.

01:02:23.080 And if you ever see that, it's always a nice little wink and nod because the media will

01:02:28.100 insert itself into a discussion that he wants to use to drive a narrative saying people are

01:02:34.440 saying or, you know, the the public demands.

01:02:37.840 And in reality, it's just what that guy wants to talk about.

01:02:40.920 Right.

01:02:41.760 Yeah.

01:02:42.720 No, can I say I was on I was on GB News a couple of weeks ago and I was talking about

01:02:47.340 that people are pissed off about one of the massive diamonds in the crown jewels in the

01:02:51.960 queen's crown and they're like, we want that back. 0.99

01:02:54.600 That needs to go back to India. 1.00

01:02:55.760 That was the subject of plunder.

01:02:57.200 They got that as a result of plunder, which is a fun word.

01:02:59.600 I need to use that more often.

01:03:01.100 And so I was like, you know what?

01:03:02.360 Let's take a look.

01:03:02.980 I'm sure there's a history.

01:03:03.680 So you go back into this woman's point that she was making.

01:03:06.640 I said on GB News a couple of weeks ago, I'm like, you know what?

01:03:08.660 Let's go.

01:03:09.080 Let's let's take a look.

01:03:09.960 Let's see if this is a subject of plunder, whether India owes it or Great Britain owes it 0.75

01:03:14.300 back to India. 0.76

01:03:15.100 Well, you will not be surprised to learn that before it was in India, it was in Afghanistan

01:03:20.340 and it was in Iran and both of their kings got murdered suddenly and the diamond was

01:03:24.860 suddenly in a new country.

01:03:26.600 And so it's like murder, murder, murder.

01:03:29.140 Diamond appears in the next new country.

01:03:31.200 And then when India finally got it, by the way, it was Pakistan. 0.93

01:03:33.960 So Pakistan is like, it's our diamond. 1.00

01:03:35.780 If it's anybody's done, it's not India's done. 0.99

01:03:37.140 So like, good luck trying to figure out who gets the damn diamond. 0.99

01:03:40.540 But there is a contingency being like, give it back to India, you plunderers. 1.00

01:03:45.080 People are just like, OK.

01:03:47.080 I mean, honestly, just make it like a Game of Thrones situation.

01:03:49.760 If some king dies, it should be like a free for all, right?

01:03:51.760 Like if you can get the crown jewels out of there.

01:03:53.660 Yeah, it's yours.

01:03:54.620 Yeah, it's yours.

01:03:55.540 That's exactly right.

01:03:56.180 Honestly, America's owed a lot of reparations at this point.

01:03:58.700 How many times have we helped Britain out?

01:04:00.980 Whenever a monarch dies, it's time for everyone to be like, bills are due, time to pay.

01:04:06.060 OK, wait, we got to shift up north.

01:04:08.460 Forget America.

01:04:09.400 We got to go to Canada.

01:04:10.780 Something crazy is happening up there, you guys.

01:04:12.580 It's cray cray.

01:04:13.500 I mean, especially even for Canada, it's cray cray.

01:04:15.920 Anyway, there is a man who teaches science.

01:04:20.620 He's in the shop class.

01:04:22.200 So I think he teaches shop.

01:04:24.540 And now he is a she. 1.00

01:04:26.700 Now it's a male to female transition. 0.54

01:04:29.160 Now she is Kayla Lemieux.

01:04:31.520 OK, we don't know what the guy's name was when he was living as a man, which was recent.

01:04:35.900 Um, so the shop teacher shows up now as a woman and OK, that's controversial enough.

01:04:44.000 I'm sure students were like, well, he used to be a man, but now he's a woman. 0.77

01:04:47.460 And this is what Kayla looks like in the shop class for the for the listening audience. 0.50

01:04:54.400 I'm going to describe it.

01:04:55.460 Oh, my God, the most enormous breast prosthetics you've ever seen.

01:05:04.520 I mean, this Kayla makes Dolly Parton look small.

01:05:07.440 Megan, you said shop class?

01:05:09.880 Shop class.

01:05:10.560 Shop.

01:05:10.780 Shop.

01:05:11.280 I mean, shop.

01:05:12.500 That is a hazard around a circle of a saw.

01:05:15.380 We have a picture of that.

01:05:17.500 Duncan, we have a picture of that.

01:05:18.980 Look, look.

01:05:19.540 Oh, no.

01:05:20.420 No.

01:05:20.940 She's right by the saw.

01:05:22.460 There's a saw right there.

01:05:23.880 The breasts are right there. 1.00

01:05:26.300 Look at video.

01:05:28.080 It's a little different from Norm Abrams, huh?

01:05:30.940 Oh, my God.

01:05:32.360 Who's Norm Abrams?

01:05:34.480 I can't believe there's video of that.

01:05:36.680 Boy, there's a couple of things the students will remember about that class, huh?

01:05:40.040 Oh, my God.

01:05:41.120 A couple of things.

01:05:42.480 And for the listening audience at the so the breast prosthetics are so big.

01:05:47.280 They're they're weighing down.

01:05:48.340 They're down by like her belly.

01:05:49.580 They're down by like the badge.

01:05:52.220 They're they're way they're off the rib cage. 0.85

01:05:54.360 And and the the nipples are like the Samantha nipples in Sex in the City when she was like, 1.00

01:06:00.560 oh, this is a fun thing. 0.98

01:06:01.360 You stick it on and it makes you look like all nipped out. 0.98

01:06:04.600 And there's obviously fake.

01:06:06.000 There's like way pointy.

01:06:07.400 I mean, it's like two small plums at the end of two huge watermelons.

01:06:13.440 So it was terrible blonde wig with these huge black glasses. 1.00

01:06:18.420 I mean, the thing is, sweetheart, you need help.

01:06:21.300 It's horrific as an adult to see this.

01:06:25.360 But then to keep in mind that this is something someone is doing around kids.

01:06:29.840 Right.

01:06:30.360 At some point, I think it definitely goes from being a joke to being a crime.

01:06:34.040 But we're now in a society where these are the people who are being protected.

01:06:39.880 These people who are perpetrating this upon kids are actually a victim and that they're

01:06:45.220 who we have to look out for.

01:06:46.440 And if you try to speak out against this and feel, hey, I think that's like completely

01:06:50.800 inappropriate around children.

01:06:52.260 Whoa, you're the bigot.

01:06:53.580 Yeah.

01:06:53.700 No, this is why they want kids to keep secrets from their parents, because if they told their

01:06:57.340 parents what they saw on a daily basis, their parents, I mean, that's what the hell is going

01:07:01.640 on.

01:07:01.920 I mean, that's what all happened during COVID with parents on seeing like what Zoom school

01:07:05.360 is.

01:07:05.620 They're like, this is what the hell they're teaching my kids.

01:07:07.360 This is what my tax money is going towards.

01:07:09.000 Just imagine for a minute walking into the parent teacher conference and that comes at

01:07:14.620 you.

01:07:14.740 She lays those on the table, you know, it's remarkable.

01:07:20.760 You're right.

01:07:21.460 We have to laugh about it.

01:07:22.780 But then we have to talk about how how effed up this is, because it's deeply serious.

01:07:26.540 Go ahead, Duncan.

01:07:26.940 Well, because it's it's borderline performance art, right?

01:07:30.320 Yes. 0.86

01:07:30.540 And our society now, instead of looking at that and saying that is ridiculous, now caters 0.87

01:07:35.360 to it. 0.94

01:07:36.120 Right.

01:07:36.420 And like, that's the thing is like, you know, 10 years ago, we would have all said, well, 0.91

01:07:41.000 this is ridiculous. 0.94

01:07:41.780 Of course, like she can't teach like that. 0.99

01:07:45.240 But now you actually have to have a national discussion about how, you know, this is so important

01:07:50.480 for her identity.

01:07:51.860 I mean, those she looks like she has the Mrs. Doubtfire fat suit on. 1.00

01:07:56.080 It's ridiculous. 0.95

01:07:56.500 I mean, I think that only in one area, the progressive movement. 0.97

01:07:59.640 Now, you know what progressive is, is moving from what was ridiculous and disgusting 10 0.94

01:08:05.600 years ago to acceptance. 0.74

01:08:07.240 I mean, very quickly before our eyes, like the fact that I've looked at this and they're

01:08:12.280 saying that like the Canadian government will go after anyone who speaks ill of this individual.

01:08:17.460 If you want to clearly ill individual themselves.

01:08:19.700 And why is it always in schools?

01:08:21.480 Like, that's what I'm saying.

01:08:22.560 Can't we just do math and like in shop class, build a birdhouse or something, learn how to

01:08:26.660 use a circular saw, just do normal things.

01:08:28.860 Like, why can't we do this in school?

01:08:32.160 Like, why is it always in schools that these people are performing?

01:08:36.840 Can't they can't they like whatever happened?

01:08:38.980 Take your fetish behind a closed door and do not shove it in my kid's face.

01:08:45.360 For the record, they're standing behind her.

01:08:47.720 The school is defending her, saying they recognize the rights of students, staff, parents, guardians

01:08:51.980 and community members to equitable treatment without discrimination based on gender identity

01:08:56.140 and gender expression.

01:08:57.780 We strive to promote a positive learning environment in schools consistent with the values of whatever.

01:09:04.860 And that's regardless of one's gender identity or gender expression, even though they have

01:09:09.800 a dress code with respect to the students that specifically says you're not allowed to show 0.96

01:09:14.820 your nipples. 0.95

01:09:15.740 You can't expose or make visible genitals or nipples in particular. 0.99

01:09:20.720 But if you're a trans teacher, nip it out as much as you want, because that's about human 0.95

01:09:25.980 rights.

01:09:26.440 It seems like a low bar to clear in the classroom, right? 0.82

01:09:32.100 Like, don't expose your genitals. 0.96

01:09:34.200 Right.

01:09:35.300 To be honest with you, like, take this a step back to be like where we are as a society.

01:09:42.480 Imagine if you're a dude who just teaches this class and you showed up in a banana hammock, 0.80

01:09:47.900 right?

01:09:48.420 And you're like, hey, why the hell isn't everybody focused on the saw here?

01:09:53.580 My banana hammock is just none of your concern.

01:09:56.220 It's just like, you know, that's who I am.

01:09:59.140 Disrespective.

01:09:59.700 I think all of us would come to the conclusion that that guy ought to be in jail, right?

01:10:03.380 Yes.

01:10:03.880 But like, no, not the case when we deal with this sort of story.

01:10:07.600 That's a good point.

01:10:07.780 This is a safety issue.

01:10:08.840 I hadn't even considered that.

01:10:09.820 The distraction of the children dealing with mechanical equipment and saws.

01:10:13.580 Like, they should be looking at one thing and one thing only.

01:10:16.100 Let me tell you this.

01:10:16.860 Peter Boghossian, who I like, he's been on the show.

01:10:19.600 He sent out this interesting tweet yesterday.

01:10:21.440 He writes, with this picture, most people have strong moral impulses about whether this

01:10:26.000 individual should be allowed to teach their children in a public school, but very few

01:10:30.040 can construct a good argument.

01:10:31.700 Why or why not?

01:10:33.340 It's more difficult than you think.

01:10:35.800 Try it.

01:10:36.400 So, the responses were epic.

01:10:38.780 I'll just read you what I wrote. 1.00

01:10:40.780 I wrote, no mentally well woman puts breasts of this size with her nipples popping out on 1.00

01:10:46.480 display for children trying to learn. 1.00

01:10:48.580 The fact that it's a trans person enamored with a new sex toy who wants to do a show 1.00

01:10:53.320 and tell with minors makes it even worse and arguably misogynistic. 0.99

01:10:58.520 See?

01:10:58.920 Not hard at all.

01:11:00.140 And then they went on.

01:11:01.340 Ricky Gervais had some amazing responses.

01:11:03.580 I can't go through them all, but it's not hard.

01:11:06.400 This is somebody who, there's something wrong with this person.

01:11:09.460 There's something wrong.

01:11:11.000 Right.

01:11:11.180 And I think what you're, what is revealed in this, Megan, and in that question is back

01:11:17.440 to what Ashbrook was saying earlier about why is this always in schools?

01:11:20.480 You look at things like, you know, drag queen story hour or stuff like this in the school.

01:11:24.780 And what you realize is that these, this woke left sees the schools as the front lines

01:11:31.000 in this battle for basically normalizing the outrageous about what they believe.

01:11:36.820 And if they, if they can get it done in the schools, then they can get it done in society.

01:11:40.760 Because it's not about accepting someone who's different than you sitting in a booth

01:11:44.440 in the red lobster.

01:11:46.560 Right.

01:11:46.680 You know, it's never like a normal thing that normal people are doing and just not looking

01:11:50.540 down on somebody because they're different.

01:11:52.360 It's the drag queen story hour is the most preposterous thing I've ever heard of. 1.00

01:11:57.600 Like nobody does.

01:12:00.400 What child is asking for this?

01:12:02.020 I just want to build a birdhouse.

01:12:09.020 I did a little mirror, a little framed mirror and shop, and I never had to look at anybody's

01:12:13.160 junk.

01:12:13.880 And I was thinking to myself, let's say this was a biological female, right? 0.99

01:12:18.360 Who's just big breasted or even who had enormous breast implants because that was her thing. 1.00

01:12:23.780 Okay.

01:12:25.300 I could get over that if she weren't putting them like on display with like low cut blouses 1.00

01:12:30.640 or dresses, the nipples take it next level. 1.00

01:12:33.600 Like the nipples tell you there's something wrong with this guy. 0.99

01:12:36.080 He's trying to turn somebody on. 0.99

01:12:37.580 He's probably turned on. 1.00

01:12:38.580 Honestly, it probably turns him on to rub his weird little fake nipples or to have people 1.00

01:12:43.040 see them. 0.99

01:12:43.800 It's a thing.

01:12:44.300 There's a reason you stick those at the bottom of those huge watermelons and put them on

01:12:47.220 display for a bunch of children who are doing woodwork.

01:12:49.760 So it's not the same as a woman who just happens to be well endowed or who likes big breasts. 1.00

01:12:54.300 It's a man who's chosen to stick this obvious prosthetic on him and then and then make it

01:12:58.820 extra, extra X rated.

01:13:00.640 Which is weird. 0.98

01:13:01.900 And I don't want him getting off near my kids and I don't want him getting the nipples 1.00

01:13:05.400 near my kids. 0.98

01:13:06.300 And I don't want to have to think about anybody's sexuality or boobs when my kid is in shop.

01:13:11.780 I think it's very well taken.

01:13:14.200 That's it.

01:13:14.480 Also, let me just let me just say as an aside, this is a conversation I never imagined having

01:13:19.480 with Megyn Kelly.

01:13:20.360 I'll be I almost led with this.

01:13:22.980 Honestly, this is almost my lead.

01:13:24.360 You guys hear Megyn say vag?

01:13:28.240 I'm still reeling.

01:13:29.440 I think you made the best point of all is a safety issue.

01:13:35.200 It should be shut down.

01:13:36.980 So it's two days until a kid loses a finger on that saw.

01:13:40.300 Yeah.

01:13:40.500 Don't they have OSHA in Canada?

01:13:42.060 I don't even know where to go from here.

01:13:49.200 I feel like we've hit the apex.

01:13:51.480 What do we possibly do to top this?

01:13:59.240 Where is OSHA?

01:14:00.780 That's a good point.

01:14:02.720 Okay.

01:14:03.360 Here's why.

01:14:04.360 Oh, I'm crying laughing so hard.

01:14:05.800 So here's why the Canadians are not cracking down on Ms. Lemieux.

01:14:10.940 Okay.

01:14:11.400 They're off doing other things.

01:14:13.080 I'm still crying.

01:14:14.340 Justin Trudeau was off at the Queen's funeral and not worried about this teacher, but worried

01:14:20.020 about paying the proper homage, the proper tribute to the now deceased Queen.

01:14:26.160 And he settled on this.

01:14:29.280 Oh, my God.

01:14:47.280 Oh, man.

01:14:49.320 What?

01:14:49.520 Have you seen that?

01:14:51.440 That's the first time I've seen that.

01:14:53.460 That's humiliating.

01:14:54.720 Freddie Mercury just rolled over in his grave.

01:14:56.900 He is upset.

01:14:59.200 I can't believe it.

01:15:00.980 I can't believe it.

01:15:01.220 Talk about a discarviced Queen. 1.00

01:15:02.040 It doesn't quite measure up to candle in the wind.

01:15:09.380 It was horrifying.

01:15:10.820 Now, wait, I know you guys got to go, but I got to squeeze one other thing in.

01:15:13.200 Joe Biden went to the Queen's funeral as well with our first lady doctor, and they were

01:15:18.160 seated in, like, the nosebleeds.

01:15:20.700 We were, like, behind the Czech Republic. 0.79

01:15:23.240 Like, I think, literally, we might have been, we were literally behind Poland, and we were

01:15:27.680 one seat in front of Czech Republic.

01:15:29.760 And it reminded me of this scene.

01:15:31.720 Remember when Trump, so here he is, he's walking in, Joe Biden's walking in.

01:15:35.780 Remember when Trump went, I don't know, was it the G, I can't remember what summit it

01:15:39.900 was, but he, the leader of Montenegro was in front of him.

01:15:43.420 It was NATO.

01:15:44.420 And Trump did the following.

01:15:45.940 Watch, we're going to show it for the listening.

01:15:48.160 It's Trump shoving the guy out of the way.

01:15:50.200 Hold on.

01:15:50.560 Let's roll it.

01:15:51.660 Trump's walking up.

01:15:52.640 He shoves him.

01:15:53.940 It's an all-time move right there.

01:15:55.940 There we go.

01:15:56.680 Yeah.

01:15:56.900 It's the coat.

01:15:57.680 That's alpha male behavior.

01:15:59.040 You shove a nerd in a locker.

01:16:02.840 I mean, it makes me miss Trump a little. 0.90

01:16:05.620 I mean, it's outrageous.

01:16:07.760 Give me your lunch money, Euro.

01:16:11.940 I don't think Trump would have stayed back with the Czech Republic at the Queen's funeral.

01:16:15.080 I think he would have pulled a Meghan Markle, tried to get himself on Cameron in the front

01:16:18.620 as much as humanly possible.

01:16:21.020 He probably operates much like he does on the golf course when he pulls the cart right

01:16:25.040 onto the green and steps out and putts.

01:16:27.480 I feel like he's got his own.

01:16:28.820 Somebody will set up a chair right next to the casket at that point.

01:16:31.540 I think he would have set up trying to give the eulogy.

01:16:35.260 Next thing you know, he's a pallbearer.

01:16:37.160 She lived an amazing life.

01:16:40.440 All right.

01:16:43.800 I know you guys got to go.

01:16:44.900 I'm going to go spend some time thinking about that ocean remark.

01:16:47.680 Where's the ocean?

01:16:50.700 That one got me, John.

01:16:52.280 You guys are great.

01:16:53.320 I love talking to you.

01:16:54.220 Thanks for coming on.

01:16:55.960 Thanks, Meghan.

01:17:06.380 God, we had some laughs, right?

01:17:07.460 We cover the news, had some laughs.

01:17:09.260 Tomorrow, we're going where precious few have gone.

01:17:12.680 We're taking a deep dive into Ashley Biden's diary.

01:17:15.420 The feds have now confirmed it's hers, but no one will touch it.

01:17:18.540 Unlike all of President Trump's private information, Sarah Palin's private information.

01:17:23.300 So we're going to take a look at what it says, and we're going to do it a fair and honest way.

01:17:27.600 We're going there.

01:17:28.380 In the meantime, download the show on Apple, Pandora, Spotify, and Stitcher so you don't

01:17:31.600 miss that.

01:17:32.220 Also, go to YouTube.com slash Megyn Kelly because you really need to experience that segment 0.92

01:17:35.580 we did with the pictures.
