00:01:01.260 Welcome to The Megyn Kelly Show,

00:01:03.140 live on Sirius XM Channel 111, every weekday at New East.

00:01:12.960 Hey everyone, I'm Megyn Kelly.

00:01:14.660 Welcome to The Megyn Kelly Show.

00:01:16.100 There is breaking news right now on a big story

00:01:19.400 we just discussed on this program yesterday.

00:01:22.080 A major arrest.

00:01:24.600 Brian Cole of Virginia is now reportedly in custody

00:01:28.240 for allegedly planting the pipe bombs

00:01:31.220 outside of both the Democratic National Committee headquarters

00:01:34.660 and the Republican National Committee headquarters

00:01:37.520 in Washington, D.C.

00:01:39.260 on the night of January 5th, 2021.

00:01:42.760 Law enforcement activity was seen

00:01:44.400 at what is believed to be his home this morning.

00:01:46.780 We are showing video here on our screen from Fox News,

00:01:51.380 which just says law enforcement and police tape

00:01:53.500 outside of this home.

00:01:55.700 The arrest comes nearly five years after the incident

00:02:00.200 in a high-profile case

00:02:02.340 that has befuddled law enforcement for years,

00:02:06.260 but we don't understand why.

00:02:09.340 We've never understood why this case

00:02:12.660 was so seemingly impossible to crack.

00:02:16.000 It's unclear what exact charges this Brian Cole faces.

00:02:19.900 We're expecting an FBI press conference

00:02:22.560 later this afternoon.

00:02:23.700 We are told it could happen within the hour.

00:02:26.000 We are monitoring it and we'll bring it to you

00:02:27.920 if and when it happens.

00:02:29.560 Here, in the meantime,

00:02:30.680 is the FBI previously explaining

00:02:32.840 what happened when those bombs were placed that night.

00:02:36.040 The suspect's height is approximately 5 foot 7 inches tall.

00:02:41.840 The suspect wore a face mask,

00:02:43.780 a gray hooded sweatshirt,

00:02:45.500 and black gloves.

00:02:46.940 They used a backpack to transport each of the devices.

00:02:50.620 They were wearing distinctive

00:02:51.860 Nike Air Max Speed Turf shoes,

00:02:54.640 which are black and gray with the yellow Nike logo.

00:02:57.980 Fewer than 25,000 of these shoes were sold

00:03:00.680 between August 2018 and January 2021.

00:03:03.760 The first time the suspect is seen

00:03:06.760 is at approximately 7.34 p.m.

00:03:09.620 at the intersection of First Street

00:03:11.360 and North Carolina Avenue Southeast.

00:03:13.860 This footage shows the suspect

00:03:15.520 sitting on the DNC bench

00:03:17.440 before placing the first bomb.

00:03:21.800 Here we see the suspect place the bomb

00:03:23.960 at approximately 7.54 p.m.

00:03:26.340 They place the second pipe bomb

00:03:36.880 at approximately 8.16 p.m.

00:03:41.300 The suspect then turns back onto Rumsey Court,

00:03:44.700 walking east until the person is last seen on camera

00:03:47.740 at approximately 8.18 p.m.,

00:03:50.580 wearing the backpack on their shoulders.

00:03:52.380 The bomb is believed to have been placed

00:03:55.060 shortly before this video,

00:03:56.780 based on how the suspect is carrying the backpack.

00:04:00.800 Hmm.

00:04:02.020 According to the New York Times,

00:04:03.680 the break in the case was not thanks to a new tip

00:04:07.240 or any additional information.

00:04:09.980 I mean, that's remarkable.

00:04:11.300 What they're reporting is that

00:04:12.800 they discovered a new lead within the FBI

00:04:16.260 after reviewing previously compiled investigative files

00:04:20.680 as the new leadership team there,

00:04:23.240 FBI Director Cash Patel

00:04:24.360 and Deputy Director Dan Bongino,

00:04:26.100 have made solving this case a priority.

00:04:28.400 Dan Bongino, when he was a podcast host,

00:04:30.840 had said for a long, long time

00:04:32.960 that he believed this case was solvable.

00:04:36.020 He also theorized that it might be an inside job

00:04:38.480 by law enforcement,

00:04:40.000 but he'd long been saying this is solvable

00:04:42.280 and had been asking questions

00:04:43.720 about why it hadn't been solved.

00:04:45.420 And now here they are six months in power

00:04:47.960 and appearing to have solved it.

00:04:51.940 This is, let's see,

00:04:53.560 from the Washington Post this morning.

00:04:55.940 They give some background,

00:04:57.880 saying more about how

00:04:59.500 this is not based on a new breakthrough,

00:05:02.220 but that they've been,

00:05:04.220 the FBI sources have been going through

00:05:05.860 the voluminous trove of material

00:05:09.140 largely collected in 2021 and 2022.

00:05:12.640 They write,

00:05:13.060 the suspect's arrest is expected

00:05:14.380 to cause significant embarrassment

00:05:15.680 for the Bureau

00:05:16.380 and the enormous team it assigned

00:05:18.480 to the pipe bomb investigation,

00:05:20.360 the two sources said,

00:05:21.240 not meaning Cash and Dan's team,

00:05:23.200 meaning the team that was there

00:05:24.700 under previous leadership,

00:05:28.040 saying the suspect could have been arrested years ago

00:05:30.240 if investigators had earlier connected the dots

00:05:32.600 they already had in hand.

00:05:34.380 This is the Washington Post writing,

00:05:37.060 this development could also be seen

00:05:39.420 as vindication of Deputy FBI Director Dan Bongino,

00:05:42.740 who has long focused on the pipe bomb case

00:05:44.400 and has urged the Bureau

00:05:47.100 to redouble its efforts to solve it

00:05:48.780 when he took efforts.

00:05:49.720 Wow, that must have been hard for you

00:05:52.060 to write, Carol Lenning.

00:05:54.880 Let's see.

00:05:56.880 The timing of the arrest

00:05:57.940 comes as Cash Patel's under fire.

00:05:59.700 The suspect placed the pipe bombs

00:06:02.080 the night before January 6th.

00:06:04.620 They were discovered 15 hours later

00:06:06.420 on the day of January 6th.

00:06:09.320 This is one of the largest cases

00:06:11.200 in the Bureau's history.

00:06:13.160 The FBI subpoenaed box store retailers

00:06:16.420 for credit card transaction data

00:06:18.980 to obtain the identities of people

00:06:20.800 who bought the kind of battery connectors

00:06:22.800 they thought were used in the bombs.

00:06:24.080 They were actual bombs.

00:06:26.220 Agents then compared the list of purchasers

00:06:27.960 to the owners of phones

00:06:29.020 located near the DNC and RNC party headquarters

00:06:31.400 around the time of the explosives being planted.

00:06:33.700 They concluded there was no match.

00:06:35.960 They focused on the clothing of the bomber.

00:06:38.580 They believe they identified the shoe,

00:06:40.040 as you heard in that little soundbite we played.

00:06:42.740 Agents filed subpoenas for credit card receipts

00:06:44.520 from shoe sellers like Foot Locker and others,

00:06:47.220 obtaining a list of about 1,200 sneaker sales.

00:06:50.720 They then compared the credit cards used

00:06:52.700 to those used purchasing bomb components.

00:06:55.280 That's actually good police work

00:06:57.200 from the sound of it.

00:06:58.400 In January, the Bureau released new video

00:07:00.200 of the unidentified suspect.

00:07:02.880 And at that time,

00:07:04.360 they said they'd visited more than 1,200 residences

00:07:06.480 and businesses,

00:07:07.200 conducted more than 1,000 interviews,

00:07:09.180 reviewed approximately 39,000 video files,

00:07:11.600 and assessed more than 600 tips

00:07:13.540 about who may have placed the bombs.

00:07:16.920 Okay, and then they go on from there.

00:07:18.380 It's long been a target of scrutiny

00:07:20.460 by House Republicans

00:07:21.480 who accused the FBI and Justice Department

00:07:23.820 of failing to investigate it thoroughly.

00:07:26.100 Just to be clear,

00:07:29.060 I just want to...

00:07:32.260 Now, this is a post.

00:07:32.880 Does Carol Lenning still write for WAPO?

00:07:34.900 She's co-authoring this piece

00:07:36.100 with Ken Delaney and under MS Now.

00:07:38.220 So just to be clear,

00:07:39.660 she's with MS Now now.

00:07:40.880 Okay, but she was a long-time 0.91

00:07:41.940 Washington Post writer.

00:07:43.580 In any event,

00:07:44.380 so that was MS Now that I was quoting from,

00:07:45.960 not WAPO.

00:07:46.540 Forgive me for that.

00:07:47.960 But here's what's interesting

00:07:48.760 about this case, among other things.

00:07:50.000 Since the beginning,

00:07:51.920 the left has been trying to paint this

00:07:53.600 as a Trumper,

00:07:56.100 as a guy who is connected

00:07:57.220 with the J6 riots,

00:07:59.880 that the J6ers meant to sow chaos, 1.00

00:08:03.000 and that this was some sort of,

00:08:04.260 you know, Jimmy Kimmel style,

00:08:06.500 some MAGA guy 0.92

00:08:07.460 who wanted to unleash hell

00:08:10.340 on Washington, D.C.

00:08:11.880 when MAGA wasn't getting its way

00:08:13.720 on Trump winning.

00:08:15.660 You know, this is back in 2020.

00:08:17.600 And this is unconfirmed,

00:08:20.540 but it was reported by NBC today

00:08:22.440 that this guy may have had links,

00:08:24.680 this guy under arrest now,

00:08:26.000 this Brian Cox,

00:08:27.400 may have arrests.

00:08:29.600 Sorry, Brian Cole.

00:08:30.840 I said that this morning.

00:08:31.820 Brian Cox is the guest

00:08:32.640 we had on our show two days ago

00:08:34.440 talking about the military strike

00:08:36.960 down off our southern border.

00:08:39.280 I almost fell out of my chair

00:08:40.220 when I actually made that mistake

00:08:41.600 in my head.

00:08:42.200 Like, oh my God, what?

00:08:44.060 Sorry, it's not Brian Cox.

00:08:45.580 It's Brian Cole.

00:08:46.980 Who's under arrest?

00:08:48.540 Not related to our guest

00:08:49.540 the other day at all.

00:08:50.620 Apologies, Brian.

00:08:52.400 And unconfirmed,

00:08:54.580 we'll find out more,

00:08:55.360 but MSNBC or NBC

00:08:57.380 actually reporting today

00:08:58.480 that there is a suspected link

00:09:00.520 between this guy and Antifa.

00:09:03.720 Now that would be very interesting.

00:09:05.800 Hold your fire on that

00:09:06.920 because that's only one outlet

00:09:08.220 and we expect to hear directly

00:09:09.900 from the FBI shortly

00:09:10.920 on whether or not that's true.

00:09:13.320 In the meantime,

00:09:14.100 we've got Michael Knowles standing by.

00:09:15.540 He's host of the Michael Knowles show.

00:09:17.640 Michael, welcome back.

00:09:18.640 This is, I mean,

00:09:20.400 oh, wait, oh,

00:09:21.080 we're going to bring Michael in

00:09:21.820 in a second.

00:09:22.280 We were waiting on Julie Kelly

00:09:29.880 and she managed to make time for us

00:09:31.360 on a busy morning for her.

00:10:40.160 Julie, thanks for being here.

00:10:42.140 Your reaction to this breaking news?

00:10:44.440 I mean, it's a welcome development

00:10:46.380 in, I think,

00:10:47.720 arguably the greatest

00:10:49.020 unsolved mystery

00:10:50.080 of January 6th,

00:10:52.140 and that is

00:10:52.640 who planted these devices

00:10:54.200 apparently the night before,

00:10:55.940 and this is the hoodie individual

00:10:57.080 as you have covered

00:10:58.460 and showed the video.

00:11:00.120 This individual

00:11:01.020 wearing a hoodie,

00:11:01.940 carrying a backpack,

00:11:02.800 walking around Capitol Hill

00:11:04.000 between 730 and 830

00:11:05.760 on January 5th,

00:11:06.960 the night before,

00:11:08.400 and allegedly setting

00:11:09.280 these devices

00:11:10.180 outside the headquarters

00:11:11.300 of the RNC

00:11:12.540 and the DNC,

00:11:14.080 where they were discovered

00:11:15.720 within 20 minutes

00:11:17.200 of each other

00:11:17.900 after sitting there

00:11:19.220 for 17 hours

00:11:20.280 right as the joint session

00:11:22.880 of Congress

00:11:23.380 was set to begin

00:11:24.620 on January 6th.

00:11:26.320 So this apparently

00:11:27.580 is the individual

00:11:28.640 who's in the hoodie

00:11:29.500 who the FBI believes

00:11:31.720 set those devices.

00:11:33.320 That evening,

00:11:34.700 your reporting is correct.

00:11:36.320 The name appears

00:11:37.460 to be Brian Cole.

00:11:39.660 Some of the corporate news

00:11:40.680 outlets are reporting

00:11:41.720 via their sources

00:11:42.640 that this individual

00:11:43.600 was tied to Antifa,

00:11:45.040 which Megan explains 0.85

00:11:46.680 why the Chris Wray FBI,

00:11:48.580 Joe Biden DOJ,

00:11:50.060 Merrick Arlen DOJ

00:11:51.340 buried this

00:11:52.820 in the spring of 2021,

00:11:55.500 even though there was

00:11:56.360 a very intensive investigation

00:11:57.980 going on

00:11:58.940 into the pipe bombs

00:12:00.120 for the first few months

00:12:01.620 of 2021.

00:12:03.000 And if correct,

00:12:04.620 if this is accurate,

00:12:05.620 that this man is tied

00:12:06.540 to Antifa

00:12:07.100 or any of those organizations,

00:12:08.420 it explains why

00:12:09.640 this case went

00:12:10.360 completely cold

00:12:11.460 as of March of 2021

00:12:13.560 and really nothing else

00:12:15.620 done on a certain basis.

00:12:16.660 Explain that.

00:12:17.480 Explain why that would be.

00:12:20.080 Well, think of what was happening

00:12:21.400 in early 2021, Megan.

00:12:23.080 You know this.

00:12:24.080 The creation,

00:12:25.000 the development

00:12:25.520 of the January 6th

00:12:27.160 insurrection narrative

00:12:28.740 that this was a bunch

00:12:30.680 of MAGA terrorists

00:12:32.260 who stormed the Capitol

00:12:33.680 at the behest

00:12:35.600 of Donald Trump.

00:12:36.840 And all of the chaos

00:12:38.060 began when this first device

00:12:40.500 was detected,

00:12:41.960 discovered outside the RNC,

00:12:44.000 just a few blocks away

00:12:44.980 from the Capitol,

00:12:45.660 both of these buildings.

00:12:46.660 outside the RNC

00:12:48.400 at 1240,

00:12:49.920 redirecting resources,

00:12:51.540 prompting the evacuation

00:12:52.680 of nearby

00:12:53.340 congressional buildings.

00:12:55.200 And this started

00:12:55.800 the panic that day.

00:12:58.000 So the pipe bomb

00:12:59.020 was really the beginning

00:13:00.580 of the alleged insurrection.

00:13:03.260 Everyone was led

00:13:03.940 to believe early on

00:13:04.840 that this was a MAGA person.

00:13:06.800 And you had representatives

00:13:08.320 who were posting that

00:13:09.460 early on that day

00:13:10.980 as they were being evacuated.

00:13:12.280 I can't believe

00:13:12.960 we're being evacuated

00:13:13.900 from a pipe bomb

00:13:14.700 set by a Trump supporter.

00:13:16.540 So just imagine

00:13:17.960 if by April of 2021,

00:13:19.880 Chris Wray

00:13:20.520 and Merrick Garland,

00:13:22.920 as they were rounding up

00:13:23.840 J6ers, 1.00

00:13:24.640 had to announce

00:13:25.520 that this pipe bomber 0.96

00:13:27.020 was someone connected

00:13:28.320 to the left.

00:13:29.720 Furthermore,

00:13:30.660 it would have undermined

00:13:31.820 Chris Wray's own insistence

00:13:34.060 that Antifa was not involved

00:13:36.420 in the events

00:13:36.960 of January 6th.

00:13:37.760 He made that determination

00:13:39.000 early on

00:13:40.300 before he even could know

00:13:41.880 of the thousands of people

00:13:43.540 who were at the Capitol,

00:13:44.760 whether there were Antifa or not.

00:13:47.260 So this would have also

00:13:48.480 undermined his insistence

00:13:50.720 that Antifa was not involved

00:13:52.060 in January 6th.

00:13:53.720 As my friend Darren Beatty

00:13:55.140 always said,

00:13:56.080 the pipe bomb story unravels

00:13:57.920 all of January 6th unravels.

00:14:00.260 So this would explain

00:14:01.440 if reports are true,

00:14:03.580 why this was kept under wraps,

00:14:05.900 why the case went cold

00:14:07.160 for years

00:14:07.980 until Cash and Dan

00:14:10.340 got in there

00:14:10.920 earlier this year.

00:14:12.360 It's really amazing, Julie.

00:14:14.440 And just to underscore

00:14:15.060 for the listening audience,

00:14:16.720 we're awaiting a presser

00:14:17.800 from the FBI.

00:14:18.660 We do not yet know

00:14:19.480 whether there are ties

00:14:20.240 to Antifa.

00:14:21.140 That's one report

00:14:22.200 cited to NBC

00:14:23.280 and we have not matched

00:14:25.640 the reporting.

00:14:26.260 So when we do

00:14:27.260 or if we don't,

00:14:28.260 we'll report both

00:14:29.180 of those things to you.

00:14:30.100 We're based on

00:14:30.920 an NBC report right now

00:14:32.500 on the Antifa connection.

00:14:33.440 We do know Brian Cole.

00:14:34.780 That's been reported

00:14:35.580 out of several outlets now.

00:14:37.160 has been identified

00:14:38.180 and reportedly arrested

00:14:39.780 as the J-6 pipe bomber,

00:14:42.440 the man we've been

00:14:43.040 looking for now

00:14:43.720 for five years,

00:14:45.260 almost five years

00:14:46.040 to the day

00:14:46.780 in about 30 days or less.

00:14:49.480 And it's really remarkable,

00:14:51.760 Julie,

00:14:51.980 these reports

00:14:52.540 that the FBI did it

00:14:53.740 based on documents

00:14:55.740 inside the building

00:14:58.280 that they had

00:14:59.880 everything they needed

00:15:01.060 to solve this case

00:15:03.380 all along.

00:15:07.840 That I'm sure

00:15:09.160 we will find out

00:15:10.160 at one o'clock

00:15:10.980 and also once

00:15:12.120 the indictment

00:15:12.940 is actually posted,

00:15:14.680 we will get more details.

00:15:16.800 And I'm hoping

00:15:17.320 that we will get

00:15:18.240 more answers

00:15:18.840 as to exactly

00:15:19.740 what the FBI

00:15:20.500 has had all along,

00:15:21.900 documents.

00:15:23.220 You know,

00:15:23.720 we know that the FBI

00:15:25.020 early on

00:15:25.520 was trying to track

00:15:26.440 purchases

00:15:26.980 of those very unusual shoes,

00:15:28.880 those Nike shoes.

00:15:31.000 They were trying

00:15:31.560 to find out

00:15:32.160 the brand of the backpack

00:15:33.700 and asking retailers,

00:15:36.020 you know,

00:15:36.400 about sales.

00:15:37.420 This was very intensive.

00:15:39.640 This is not like

00:15:40.360 they just buried it

00:15:41.660 right away.

00:15:42.820 And it appears

00:15:43.500 that they did have

00:15:44.440 a very strong lead.

00:15:45.480 It could be the suspect

00:15:46.940 as a matter of fact,

00:15:48.940 but they did have

00:15:50.160 strong leads.

00:15:50.860 They were interviewing

00:15:51.520 people all over

00:15:52.540 both of those neighborhoods

00:15:53.760 outside of RNC and DNC.

00:15:56.600 So, yes,

00:15:58.480 this is why

00:15:59.780 we are hopefully

00:16:01.040 going to get

00:16:01.440 some more responses

00:16:02.740 from the FBI

00:16:04.020 and law enforcement

00:16:04.840 today

00:16:05.940 that why

00:16:08.000 this has been

00:16:09.860 not just forgotten

00:16:10.780 by the FBI,

00:16:11.780 the Chris Wray FBI.

00:16:13.120 Megan,

00:16:13.480 the media has ignored

00:16:14.580 this as well.

00:16:15.820 They're forced

00:16:16.280 to cover it today,

00:16:17.300 but they have not

00:16:19.400 covered any

00:16:20.340 of the pipe bomb,

00:16:21.620 any of my reporting,

00:16:22.660 certainly,

00:16:23.080 and other reporting

00:16:23.880 showing,

00:16:25.000 for example,

00:16:25.980 the bomb-sniffing canines

00:16:27.260 who we are told

00:16:28.740 missed this device

00:16:30.640 outside of the DNC

00:16:31.660 not once but twice

00:16:32.740 because Kamala Harris

00:16:33.800 was arriving there

00:16:34.520 at about 11.25

00:16:35.980 that morning.

00:16:37.380 So,

00:16:38.360 there's still going to be

00:16:39.200 a lot of questions.

00:16:40.120 We still have to tie together

00:16:41.420 whoever this individual is

00:16:42.940 to the discoveries

00:16:43.980 later that day

00:16:45.760 and how this all

00:16:47.840 came together.

00:16:49.240 It's really hard to believe,

00:16:51.040 and I'm going to keep

00:16:51.640 an open mind,

00:16:52.560 it's hard to believe

00:16:53.220 that this individual

00:16:54.040 did this on his own

00:16:55.820 that the device

00:16:56.700 sat there for 17 hours

00:16:58.320 before they were

00:16:59.120 miraculously discovered

00:17:00.480 at this perfect timing

00:17:01.780 during-

00:17:03.260 Very interesting.

00:17:04.020 Here's what we know

00:17:04.980 from the Daily Mail

00:17:06.780 that he's,

00:17:08.160 this Cole,

00:17:08.680 is a resident

00:17:09.260 of Woodbridge, Virginia,

00:17:11.020 that he was arrested

00:17:12.140 in the early hours

00:17:13.520 of this morning.

00:17:15.720 The exact charges

00:17:16.640 against him

00:17:17.120 not yet clear.

00:17:18.060 He's expected in court

00:17:19.220 later today,

00:17:20.700 and this comes weeks

00:17:21.820 after the FBI

00:17:22.560 offered a $500,000 reward

00:17:26.000 for leads to identify

00:17:27.680 the suspect.

00:17:28.340 We don't know,

00:17:29.000 though,

00:17:29.240 at this hour,

00:17:29.880 Julie,

00:17:30.140 whether that was,

00:17:32.720 that led to anything.

00:17:33.660 In fact,

00:17:33.880 what we're being told

00:17:34.660 is that there was

00:17:35.320 no new tip.

00:17:37.160 It was based on

00:17:38.340 shoe leather reporting

00:17:39.780 or shoe leather investigation

00:17:41.040 based on what they already had,

00:17:43.300 what had been culled together

00:17:44.400 by previous investigations,

00:17:45.820 we believe.

00:17:47.480 So that's,

00:17:48.680 you know,

00:17:48.900 they've been doing

00:17:50.220 everything they can

00:17:50.900 inside the FBI

00:17:51.940 to amp up

00:17:52.660 the investigation tips

00:17:54.380 on this guy

00:17:55.040 with the reward

00:17:55.660 and so on.

00:17:56.520 Whether they actually

00:17:57.440 got any,

00:17:58.260 we don't know.

00:17:59.320 Let's see.

00:18:00.380 I'm just looking

00:18:00.880 for more on whether,

00:18:03.460 yeah,

00:18:03.940 they're saying,

00:18:04.660 this is the Daily Mail,

00:18:06.360 saying,

00:18:06.740 sources told MS Now

00:18:08.060 that Cole is believed

00:18:09.200 to be linked

00:18:09.800 to support

00:18:10.840 for anarchist ideologies.

00:18:13.480 He just lives

00:18:14.380 in this quiet

00:18:15.020 Virginia suburb.

00:18:17.360 The heavy police presence

00:18:18.560 outside of his home

00:18:20.000 is what's making headlines

00:18:21.120 right now.

00:18:22.140 So far,

00:18:22.620 we're not seeing anything

00:18:23.640 about a manifesto,

00:18:26.140 about,

00:18:26.780 you know,

00:18:27.580 him having previous arrests,

00:18:29.440 about weird social media.

00:18:30.940 Normally,

00:18:31.260 all that would have been

00:18:31.880 breaking already.

00:18:32.800 Although,

00:18:33.280 can I tell you,

00:18:34.060 it's very possible

00:18:35.000 that the FBI

00:18:35.760 has had a few days

00:18:37.620 to scrub

00:18:39.000 anything

00:18:40.040 that they don't want

00:18:41.240 out there immediately

00:18:42.360 from the internet,

00:18:43.660 as law enforcement

00:18:44.380 typically does.

00:18:45.020 correct.

00:18:47.580 So,

00:18:48.020 I'm sure

00:18:48.460 we will get

00:18:48.940 some of those answers.

00:18:50.120 But again,

00:18:50.680 I mean,

00:18:51.040 since this is such a cold,

00:18:52.340 really was a cold case

00:18:53.500 for years,

00:18:54.300 to your point,

00:18:55.120 almost five years ago

00:18:56.540 that this happened,

00:18:58.540 you know,

00:18:59.300 if this person felt

00:19:00.320 like they were

00:19:02.160 surrounding him,

00:19:03.480 that his days

00:19:04.480 were numbered,

00:19:05.160 I'm sure he would have

00:19:06.200 scrubbed whatever

00:19:07.280 he needed to

00:19:08.240 from his own social media,

00:19:09.880 computer,

00:19:10.500 et cetera.

00:19:10.880 Of course,

00:19:11.360 it's easy to,

00:19:11.860 to retrieve that.

00:19:14.180 There's been not a hint

00:19:15.540 that an arrest

00:19:16.940 was coming in this case.

00:19:18.100 You know,

00:19:18.320 we had the Blaze report,

00:19:19.660 which we just discussed

00:19:20.720 on Kelly's court yesterday

00:19:21.860 on saying it was a woman

00:19:23.880 who was a female 1.00

00:19:24.740 law enforcement agent,

00:19:25.960 retired,

00:19:26.800 and we just discussed

00:19:27.940 whether the Blaze

00:19:28.500 is going to get sued

00:19:29.080 by that woman 0.99

00:19:29.680 who,

00:19:30.500 according to CBS,

00:19:31.100 has an alibi

00:19:31.720 showing her on camera

00:19:32.820 with her puppies

00:19:33.500 during the hour

00:19:34.480 that those bombs

00:19:35.240 were placed on J5.

00:19:37.380 And,

00:19:37.460 but the FBI

00:19:39.240 has not,

00:19:40.480 like,

00:19:40.720 there had been

00:19:41.280 no report at all

00:19:43.140 that they'd identified

00:19:45.140 this person.

00:19:46.840 In fact,

00:19:47.460 if,

00:19:47.700 if Brian Cole

00:19:48.680 really is the guy,

00:19:49.500 he was probably

00:19:49.880 sitting there

00:19:50.240 reading that Blaze report

00:19:51.200 going,

00:19:52.080 great.

00:19:53.940 I'm off the hook.

00:19:55.460 Yeah.

00:19:56.920 Right?

00:19:57.360 So I'm just saying,

00:19:57.900 like,

00:19:58.380 there,

00:19:58.820 if,

00:19:59.280 if they've known

00:20:00.080 about this guy

00:20:00.540 for days or weeks,

00:20:01.740 they did a very good job

00:20:02.860 of keeping it

00:20:03.400 extremely quiet.

00:20:05.320 Very true.

00:20:06.220 I mean,

00:20:06.520 I know that

00:20:07.400 after that Blaze report

00:20:08.800 came out,

00:20:09.480 Dan Bongino posted

00:20:10.560 something,

00:20:11.460 I think it was

00:20:11.880 a few days later,

00:20:12.820 basically debunking that,

00:20:14.300 dismissing that report,

00:20:15.620 that very sketchy report.

00:20:17.800 Not sure why

00:20:18.720 that was ever published,

00:20:20.360 but,

00:20:20.660 you know,

00:20:21.700 there's definitely

00:20:22.560 will be repercussions.

00:20:23.800 As you said,

00:20:24.580 the woman who they identified

00:20:26.020 has an attorney

00:20:26.960 called this

00:20:27.880 false,

00:20:29.380 defamatory.

00:20:30.060 They might have been

00:20:31.020 waiting for an arrest

00:20:32.380 before they file

00:20:33.940 a lawsuit

00:20:34.880 against certain

00:20:36.260 reporters,

00:20:37.180 online influencers,

00:20:38.480 and the Blaze.

00:20:39.800 We are expecting

00:20:40.640 that lawsuit

00:20:41.260 really any time.

00:20:43.580 So,

00:20:44.100 yes,

00:20:44.820 but this has been

00:20:45.580 very close hold

00:20:46.400 except for,

00:20:47.200 say,

00:20:47.960 Dan Bongino

00:20:48.680 posting that.

00:20:49.600 Also,

00:20:49.860 Cash has said

00:20:50.460 in a few recent

00:20:51.360 interviews

00:20:51.920 that there was going

00:20:53.280 to be some big news

00:20:54.160 coming on this

00:20:55.520 investigation.

00:20:56.580 So,

00:20:57.100 we weren't sure

00:20:57.520 if that meant

00:20:58.060 they were just

00:20:58.540 going to give us

00:20:58.980 new details.

00:20:59.820 There was some talk

00:21:00.420 about increasing

00:21:01.040 the reward.

00:21:02.440 To your point,

00:21:03.400 they did repost

00:21:04.520 the video

00:21:04.840 at the end of October

00:21:05.760 and added some

00:21:07.540 new footage,

00:21:08.400 apparently.

00:21:09.280 So,

00:21:09.820 we know that

00:21:10.400 this has been

00:21:11.080 a top priority.

00:21:12.020 We know that

00:21:12.600 it has been

00:21:13.500 a focus.

00:21:14.720 But,

00:21:15.220 yes,

00:21:15.760 I think

00:21:16.700 it came to

00:21:17.620 a lot of people

00:21:18.340 as a surprise

00:21:18.960 the past

00:21:19.460 today

00:21:20.620 that there was

00:21:21.820 an arrest made.

00:21:22.980 Yeah.

00:21:23.700 Now,

00:21:24.240 New York Post

00:21:24.840 giving his

00:21:25.920 full name

00:21:26.300 is Brian Cole,

00:21:27.500 Jr.,

00:21:28.280 age 30

00:21:29.080 of Woodbridge,

00:21:31.800 Virginia,

00:21:32.540 age 30.

00:21:33.320 He's 30 now.

00:21:35.140 So,

00:21:35.480 he would have been,

00:21:36.320 you know,

00:21:36.720 25,

00:21:37.760 26 then.

00:21:39.980 This is crazy.

00:21:41.500 I'm sure they know

00:21:42.280 a lot about this guy

00:21:43.440 at this point.

00:21:44.060 I'm sure he had

00:21:44.660 quite a mourning

00:21:45.460 this Brian Cole

00:21:46.280 and better pray to God

00:21:48.740 that he's got

00:21:49.320 some sort of

00:21:50.140 airtight alibi

00:21:50.920 if he wants to get

00:21:51.660 out of this.

00:21:52.120 This is a crazy

00:21:52.800 development today.

00:21:54.260 Again,

00:21:54.580 now almost

00:21:56.040 five,

00:21:57.020 almost five years

00:21:57.900 to the day,

00:21:58.800 right?

00:21:59.120 Five,

00:21:59.460 yeah,

00:21:59.660 after this whole

00:22:01.120 thing went down.

00:22:02.740 There's the New York

00:22:03.500 Post reporting out

00:22:04.180 that they had just,

00:22:07.180 Congress had just

00:22:07.860 prepared this report

00:22:08.780 assessing that,

00:22:10.160 little meaningful

00:22:10.800 progress had been

00:22:11.640 made in the pipe

00:22:12.300 bomb investigation

00:22:13.180 and charging that

00:22:14.480 the feds had refused

00:22:15.500 to provide

00:22:16.100 substantive updates

00:22:17.240 to Congress.

00:22:18.520 so there's been

00:22:19.540 frustration on

00:22:20.860 Capitol Hill

00:22:21.360 about nothing

00:22:22.540 being done

00:22:23.000 in this investigation

00:22:23.700 and now we have

00:22:24.540 left to ask

00:22:25.100 ourselves why,

00:22:27.680 why,

00:22:28.020 when we learn

00:22:28.580 more about this

00:22:29.220 Brian Cole,

00:22:29.880 will the answer

00:22:30.560 provide itself?

00:22:32.740 Thank you so much.

00:22:33.580 You're one of the best,

00:22:34.460 Julie.

00:22:34.640 You are the best

00:22:35.420 on this subject.

00:22:36.080 Nobody has matched

00:22:36.820 your reporting

00:22:37.320 from the beginning.

00:22:38.640 You've never lost

00:22:39.280 interest in it.

00:22:40.300 People have mocked you.

00:22:41.300 They've tried

00:22:41.600 to diminish you.

00:22:42.780 You've been right

00:22:43.580 about it all.

00:22:45.100 Intrepid reporting.

00:22:46.060 Thank you,

00:22:46.340 my friend.

00:22:47.480 Thank you,

00:22:47.920 my friend.

00:22:48.460 Thanks for covering

00:22:49.120 all of this.

00:22:49.680 I appreciate it.

00:22:50.900 All right,

00:22:51.200 we'll see you soon.

00:22:52.280 We're going to take

00:22:52.720 a quick break

00:22:54.280 and again,

00:22:54.720 we are now awaiting

00:22:55.500 an FBI presser

00:23:58.620 On December 12th,

00:24:02.440 Disney Plus invites you

00:24:04.540 to go behind the scenes

00:24:05.560 with Taylor Swift

00:24:06.380 in an exclusive

00:24:07.160 six-episode docuseries.

00:24:09.180 I wanted to give

00:24:09.860 something to the fans

00:24:10.840 that they didn't expect.

00:24:11.900 The only thing left

00:24:13.080 is to close the book.

00:24:14.620 The end of an era.

00:24:17.640 And don't miss

00:24:18.720 Taylor Swift,

00:24:19.720 the era's tour.

00:24:20.840 The final show

00:24:21.840 featuring for the first time

00:24:23.180 the Tortured Poets Department.

00:24:24.440 Streaming December 12th,

00:24:28.200 only on Disney Plus.

00:24:30.300 Why did we build

00:24:31.440 the first American

00:24:32.520 nuclear plant

00:24:33.380 in 30 years?

00:24:34.440 Because we're leading

00:24:35.220 the way to secure

00:24:36.180 American energy dominance.

00:24:38.000 And why announce

00:24:38.840 over $70 billion

00:24:40.100 in energy infrastructure

00:24:41.820 investments?

00:24:42.740 To keep meeting

00:24:43.400 America's energy demand.

00:24:45.260 Win the AI race.

00:24:46.660 And because our

00:24:47.180 nine million customers

00:24:48.540 deserve affordable,

00:24:49.920 reliable energy

00:24:50.780 to power their homes

00:24:52.000 and businesses.

00:24:53.040 At Southern Company,

00:24:54.140 the investments

00:24:54.940 we make today

00:24:55.800 are powering

00:24:56.780 America's energy future.

00:25:04.000 We'll go now

00:25:04.760 to Michael Knowles,

00:25:05.520 host of the

00:25:05.920 Michael Knowles Show.

00:25:07.320 It's pretty remarkable,

00:25:08.540 Michael.

00:25:08.900 Again, just to

00:25:09.720 caution the audience,

00:25:11.100 only MS Now,

00:25:12.280 which is now separate

00:25:13.180 from NBC,

00:25:14.560 they're two different

00:25:15.080 news organizations

00:25:15.800 with two very different

00:25:16.760 news gathering arms,

00:25:18.580 is the only one

00:25:19.640 reporting that the

00:25:20.580 suspect, Brian Cole,

00:25:22.520 now in custody

00:25:23.460 for the January 6th

00:25:24.600 pipe bombings

00:25:25.260 attempted.

00:25:27.480 Has any connection to

00:25:28.860 Antifa?

00:25:29.720 We'll wait to see

00:25:30.240 whether that's true.

00:25:30.980 But several outlets

00:25:31.940 reporting that he is

00:25:33.220 in custody.

00:25:33.740 His name is Brian Cole.

00:25:34.700 He's currently 30,

00:25:35.940 at least according to

00:25:36.720 one report in the

00:25:38.280 New York Post.

00:25:39.300 And he was arrested

00:25:40.040 in the wee hours

00:25:40.700 this morning.

00:25:41.860 Your reaction to it?

00:25:43.480 Well, anytime that

00:25:44.580 MSNBC now,

00:25:46.020 MS Now reports anything,

00:25:47.480 I just immediately

00:25:48.260 assume the opposite is true.

00:25:49.420 So I'm willing to

00:25:50.860 withhold and reserve

00:25:52.220 judgment on that.

00:25:52.960 So maybe he's MAGA.

00:25:54.520 J.K.

00:25:54.720 He might be.

00:25:55.320 That's right.

00:25:56.000 Who knows?

00:25:56.820 Maybe he's a member

00:25:57.320 of the Trump family

00:25:57.960 or something.

00:25:58.880 However,

00:25:59.900 with this report,

00:26:01.780 it certainly matches

00:26:03.080 Antifa's M.O.

00:26:04.620 And I think that explains

00:26:05.940 why this case has been

00:26:06.980 unresolved for five years.

00:26:08.820 Because I think

00:26:10.600 even the left

00:26:11.360 would have to admit

00:26:12.100 in moments of candor

00:26:13.080 that pipe bombs

00:26:14.380 are not generally

00:26:15.320 the instruments

00:26:16.060 of the American right.

00:26:17.200 So from what little

00:26:18.800 we knew about

00:26:19.840 this pipe bomber,

00:26:21.520 the evidence pointed

00:26:22.820 to his being

00:26:23.680 on the left

00:26:24.520 or who knows,

00:26:25.580 maybe part of

00:26:26.100 some grander conspiracy.

00:26:27.840 But he probably

00:26:29.200 wasn't wearing a MAGA hat.

00:26:30.320 And so you have

00:26:31.200 to ask yourself,

00:26:32.300 especially with this

00:26:33.000 key bit of information,

00:26:34.780 that there was no new lead

00:26:36.180 that led to his arrest.

00:26:37.340 It was actually an old lead

00:26:38.540 that Kash Patel

00:26:39.520 and Dan Bongino

00:26:40.240 just followed up on.

00:26:41.500 You say,

00:26:42.000 why did the left

00:26:43.460 not,

00:26:44.480 why did the DOJ

00:26:45.640 and the FBI

00:26:46.200 under Joe Biden

00:26:47.120 that is to say

00:26:47.780 the left,

00:26:48.380 why didn't they

00:26:49.080 pursue this

00:26:49.740 for five years?

00:26:50.860 And the answer

00:26:51.460 is simple

00:26:51.960 because every little

00:26:54.500 granny who was 0.93

00:26:55.260 wearing a MAGA hat

00:26:56.160 taking pictures

00:26:57.220 in the foyer

00:26:57.920 of the Capitol

00:26:58.580 on January 6th,

00:26:59.900 the supposedly worst day

00:27:01.020 in American history,

00:27:02.360 every single one

00:27:03.180 of them

00:27:03.500 was a Trump supporter.

00:27:05.120 And so to go in there,

00:27:06.560 arrest every single

00:27:07.540 one of them, 0.99

00:27:08.320 put them in solitary

00:27:09.100 confinement for two years,

00:27:10.600 three years,

00:27:11.320 that made perfect

00:27:12.560 political sense

00:27:13.360 for the left.

00:27:14.640 When it comes

00:27:15.300 to the pipe bomber,

00:27:16.660 it was far less clear

00:27:18.180 who this person was

00:27:19.180 and it was much more likely

00:27:20.260 that it was going

00:27:20.600 to be a person

00:27:20.960 on the left

00:27:21.340 and so they just

00:27:21.980 didn't care.

00:27:23.080 January 6th,

00:27:24.140 so-called,

00:27:24.860 was a political persecution

00:27:27.180 from beginning to end,

00:27:29.440 soup to nuts.

00:27:30.440 Even the way

00:27:31.340 that it was discussed

00:27:32.040 as the worst attack

00:27:32.980 in our nation's history

00:27:33.860 and certainly the worst attack

00:27:35.200 on the Capitol

00:27:35.760 is preposterous

00:27:37.060 because we know

00:27:37.680 there were at least

00:27:38.900 four other violent attacks

00:27:40.300 on the Capitol

00:27:40.920 that involved shooting

00:27:42.080 and blowing stuff up.

00:27:43.440 Going back to 1915,

00:27:44.860 you had a left-wing 0.54

00:27:45.460 anti-capitalist Harvard professor

00:27:46.980 blew up part of the Senate.

00:27:48.540 You had Puerto Rican nationalists

00:27:49.700 in the 50s

00:27:50.280 shoot up the House.

00:27:51.340 You had the Weather Underground

00:27:52.740 in the 1970s

00:27:53.900 also set off an explosive.

00:27:55.860 And you had a Maoist group

00:27:56.820 in the 1980s

00:27:57.600 also set off an explosive.

00:27:59.680 All of those groups

00:28:00.640 were on the left.

00:28:02.260 Certainly matches

00:28:03.080 what we know about

00:28:03.960 what the pipe bomber

00:28:04.580 was trying to do.

00:28:05.640 And it doesn't matter.

00:28:06.400 It was purely

00:28:07.540 a factional

00:28:08.900 my side versus your side

00:28:10.660 kind of witch hunt.

00:28:11.720 And the fact

00:28:12.760 that we're getting

00:28:13.220 to the bottom of this

00:28:13.920 I think really serves

00:28:14.820 a major political purpose.

00:28:16.460 It's not just Bongino

00:28:17.580 and Kash Patel

00:28:18.280 tying up loose ends.

00:28:19.740 It's actually

00:28:20.540 bringing some transparency

00:28:21.900 back to our criminal justice system

00:28:23.600 and how horribly

00:28:24.800 it was abused

00:28:25.660 over the last five years.

00:28:27.920 I mean,

00:28:28.580 it's going to be

00:28:29.040 really interesting

00:28:29.780 to hear

00:28:30.560 this guy's bio.

00:28:32.820 You know,

00:28:33.120 I just feel like

00:28:34.080 it's going to be

00:28:34.500 so illuminating

00:28:35.420 to hear

00:28:36.400 because

00:28:36.840 I would love to believe

00:28:39.480 that

00:28:39.880 even the Joe Biden

00:28:41.660 FBI

00:28:42.400 would not

00:28:43.760 willingly

00:28:44.620 hide

00:28:46.820 the fact

00:28:47.860 that they had identified

00:28:48.780 the J6 bomber

00:28:50.020 just because

00:28:51.360 he was Antifa

00:28:52.920 or he was linked

00:28:53.800 with some more

00:28:54.460 left-wing group.

00:28:55.920 I would love to believe

00:28:56.900 that they would never do that.

00:28:58.200 But I don't trust

00:28:59.000 that FBI

00:28:59.560 at all.

00:29:01.620 At all.

00:29:02.520 And most Americans

00:29:03.640 who've been paying attention

00:29:04.800 to them over the past

00:29:05.620 couple of years

00:29:06.140 don't either.

00:29:06.720 I mean,

00:29:07.020 it was

00:29:07.440 a political

00:29:09.040 operation.

00:29:10.780 You know,

00:29:10.940 it was the same group

00:29:12.140 that was texting,

00:29:13.640 we have a plan

00:29:14.460 to stop Trump.

00:29:16.060 We won't let it happen.

00:29:17.460 You know,

00:29:17.860 like Peter Strzok

00:29:19.360 and Lisa Page.

00:29:20.940 Like,

00:29:21.400 that's who the FBI

00:29:22.500 has been

00:29:23.200 for many years now.

00:29:24.620 So,

00:29:25.480 it's really hard

00:29:27.120 to give them

00:29:27.840 all benefits

00:29:28.560 of the doubt

00:29:29.120 that we might have

00:29:30.240 some 15,

00:29:31.380 20 years ago.

00:29:32.740 So,

00:29:33.240 I have no idea

00:29:34.140 what they're about

00:29:34.600 to tell us.

00:29:35.120 Like,

00:29:35.360 that's the big challenge

00:29:36.320 to Cash and Dan

00:29:37.240 in going in there

00:29:38.340 trying to get

00:29:38.980 this ship righted.

00:29:40.820 And you're seeing

00:29:41.740 the hit pieces

00:29:42.360 on them drop

00:29:43.220 even this week,

00:29:44.360 Michael.

00:29:44.660 There's this,

00:29:45.080 you know,

00:29:45.960 former and current

00:29:47.080 group of FBI agents

00:29:48.340 that was going to

00:29:49.840 report to Congress

00:29:50.540 this week

00:29:51.020 on how rudderless

00:29:52.920 the FBI is

00:29:54.180 and how bad

00:29:55.720 it is

00:29:56.540 and how it's not

00:29:57.180 going to get anything done.

00:29:57.920 Meanwhile,

00:29:58.240 their arrests are up

00:29:59.380 of violent felons,

00:30:00.480 of gang members,

00:30:01.480 of child predators,

00:30:02.840 recovery of missing children,

00:30:04.880 sex traffickers,

00:30:05.880 like, 0.99

00:30:06.060 you name it,

00:30:06.520 they're actually,

00:30:07.020 they actually really

00:30:07.680 are getting things done.

00:30:09.240 One stat that jumped

00:30:10.100 out at me was

00:30:10.660 they've already arrested

00:30:11.720 four people on the

00:30:12.560 10 Most Wanted list

00:30:13.500 in their six months

00:30:14.440 in office.

00:30:16.220 Joe Biden's FBI

00:30:17.380 under Chris Wray

00:30:18.700 arrested four people

00:30:20.140 on the 10 Most Wanted

00:30:20.980 over four years

00:30:22.640 they did that.

00:30:23.780 So it's just,

00:30:24.580 they are getting things done

00:30:25.660 but the old guard

00:30:26.500 is still in there.

00:30:27.480 They don't like

00:30:28.180 the new leadership.

00:30:29.480 They think they're

00:30:30.280 crass.

00:30:31.660 They think they're brash. 0.99

00:30:33.820 They're mad

00:30:34.620 that they didn't come up

00:30:35.920 in the FBI.

00:30:37.660 Bongino has a law enforcement

00:30:38.900 background

00:30:39.320 and Cash has an intel background.

00:30:41.540 So they are of law enforcement

00:30:43.120 but not FBI-ers,

00:30:45.300 you know,

00:30:45.440 not agents.

00:30:46.600 And this is part of

00:30:47.580 what they've been up against

00:30:48.480 since the moment

00:30:49.140 they walked in the front door.

00:30:51.980 Yes.

00:30:52.560 Look,

00:30:53.000 obviously the DOJ

00:30:54.240 and the FBI

00:30:54.740 have been corrupt

00:30:55.440 for a very long time.

00:30:56.680 Not just going back to Biden

00:30:57.900 but going back to Obama.

00:30:59.520 You know,

00:30:59.800 Barack Obama

00:31:00.420 is sicking the government agencies

00:31:01.640 on his enemies too.

00:31:03.480 I want to make clear

00:31:05.580 that Joe Biden

00:31:06.960 does not

00:31:08.200 and his DOJ

00:31:09.400 do not need to have

00:31:11.040 actively

00:31:11.720 covered up

00:31:13.060 who the pipe bomber was

00:31:14.500 in order to be

00:31:15.960 guilty here

00:31:16.820 of corruption

00:31:17.400 because look,

00:31:18.720 I grant you Megan

00:31:20.580 the same FBI

00:31:21.480 that was arresting

00:31:22.320 pro-life grannies 1.00

00:31:23.220 for praying

00:31:23.800 and that was infiltrating

00:31:24.800 and spying on Catholic churches,

00:31:26.460 yeah,

00:31:26.660 they might have just

00:31:27.240 covered up the person

00:31:28.140 that they thought

00:31:28.540 was the pipe bomber 0.82

00:31:29.260 but it also might have

00:31:30.660 just been malign neglect.

00:31:32.440 Not benign neglect

00:31:33.360 but malign neglect.

00:31:34.320 It might have just been

00:31:35.640 the case

00:31:36.200 that they knew,

00:31:37.280 okay,

00:31:37.620 if we prosecute

00:31:38.800 all of these people

00:31:39.520 taking pictures

00:31:40.280 in the Capitol

00:31:41.040 on January 6th,

00:31:42.360 we're going to get

00:31:43.040 100 out of 100 MAGA people

00:31:45.240 and the pipe bomber,

00:31:46.620 we just don't know

00:31:47.980 and we don't want

00:31:49.140 to find out

00:31:49.840 and it doesn't matter,

00:31:50.800 the bomb didn't go off,

00:31:51.880 it doesn't help

00:31:52.480 our political persecution

00:31:53.660 so you know what,

00:31:54.620 we're just going to

00:31:55.140 look the other way,

00:31:55.760 we're going to ignore

00:31:56.640 leads that come in

00:31:57.700 and who knows,

00:31:58.740 if a Republican

00:31:59.300 gets elected

00:31:59.900 in four or five years

00:32:01.000 then I guess maybe

00:32:02.100 they can uncover

00:32:02.760 some of those leads.

00:32:03.700 It looks like

00:32:04.420 that's exactly

00:32:04.980 what Cash Patel

00:32:05.620 and Dan Bongino

00:32:06.240 have done.

00:32:07.820 I mean,

00:32:08.800 I want to know

00:32:09.800 more details

00:32:10.320 about the guy.

00:32:11.260 I want to know

00:32:12.080 is he in some

00:32:14.000 protected class?

00:32:15.600 Is there,

00:32:16.300 you know,

00:32:16.680 some other reason

00:32:17.660 why they might

00:32:18.360 not have zeroed in

00:32:19.640 on him?

00:32:20.240 We're going to find out

00:32:21.320 very,

00:32:21.980 very soon

00:32:22.600 and look,

00:32:23.360 right now,

00:32:24.180 congrats to the FBI

00:32:25.180 on making this arrest,

00:32:27.860 let's hope it's

00:32:28.280 the right guy,

00:32:29.140 let's hope we get

00:32:29.580 a confession

00:32:30.080 and that people

00:32:31.100 are spared too much

00:32:31.920 drama around this.

00:32:33.280 We're going to put

00:32:34.040 a pin in that

00:32:34.540 as we await the FBI

00:32:35.460 presser because

00:32:35.960 there's no new

00:32:36.400 information as it

00:32:37.120 comes in.

00:32:37.580 Believe me,

00:32:38.000 my team is scouring

00:32:38.720 the internet

00:32:39.060 for any updates,

00:32:40.420 mugshots,

00:32:40.940 etc.,

00:32:41.280 and we will bring

00:32:42.100 it to you,

00:32:42.480 but for now,

00:32:43.040 let's get in

00:32:43.400 some other news

00:32:43.940 because if this

00:32:44.740 really happens at

00:32:45.320 one,

00:32:45.920 we'll probably be

00:32:46.620 all pipe bomber

00:32:47.320 at that point forward.

00:32:49.100 The big story

00:32:49.880 in the news this week

00:32:50.640 has been something

00:32:51.980 similar happening

00:32:52.720 at the Pentagon,

00:32:53.940 like an attempt

00:32:54.820 by people

00:32:55.740 who never wanted

00:32:56.580 this leader

00:32:57.180 to take him down.

00:32:59.080 Now,

00:32:59.440 there definitely

00:33:00.260 are people

00:33:00.780 inside the Pentagon

00:33:01.540 who hate Pete,

00:33:02.720 didn't want Pete,

00:33:03.640 and want him gone

00:33:04.380 and did from day one,

00:33:05.700 but it's also

00:33:06.900 very much on the outside

00:33:08.000 with these lawmakers

00:33:10.200 who can't stand him,

00:33:11.140 these Democrats

00:33:11.660 who can't stand him,

00:33:12.980 and now it's

00:33:14.180 devolved into them

00:33:15.240 accusing him

00:33:15.820 of war crimes

00:33:16.780 based on inaccurate,

00:33:19.240 incomplete information,

00:33:20.480 which by the day

00:33:21.320 gets better

00:33:21.840 for the Pentagon,

00:33:23.720 not for his detractors.

00:33:25.380 It started last Friday

00:33:26.620 when the Washington Post

00:33:28.040 all but accused him

00:33:29.540 of a war crime.

00:33:31.120 Seth Moulton

00:33:31.800 citing this Democrat

00:33:33.360 from Massachusetts

00:33:33.900 saying someone's

00:33:34.720 going to jail

00:33:35.120 for murder

00:33:35.580 or a war crime.

00:33:36.840 Someone's,

00:33:37.260 you mark my words,

00:33:38.300 one of these people

00:33:38.880 is going to jail.

00:33:39.820 Okay,

00:33:40.460 because they said

00:33:41.720 that they bombed

00:33:43.620 a ship

00:33:44.020 coming to America

00:33:45.020 from south of the border

00:33:45.880 carrying drugs

00:33:46.640 and that two people

00:33:47.960 were clinging

00:33:48.400 to the side of the boat

00:33:49.320 having survived

00:33:50.740 the first strike

00:33:51.440 and they were devastated

00:33:53.460 to see this

00:33:54.420 because they wanted 0.74

00:33:54.980 everybody to be dead

00:33:55.860 and Pete Hegseth 0.63

00:33:57.280 gave the oral order 0.99

00:33:59.120 to kill the people 1.00

00:34:01.420 and drop a second strike 1.00

00:34:03.220 to kill them. 1.00

00:34:04.500 Well, 1.00

00:34:04.980 that didn't turn out

00:34:05.540 to be true.

00:34:07.380 Most people agreed

00:34:08.520 that that could

00:34:10.080 potentially be a war crime,

00:34:11.460 but there actually

00:34:12.480 was ambiguity around it

00:34:13.520 depending on the circumstances,

00:34:14.620 but that's not even

00:34:15.800 what happened.

00:34:16.460 Pete Hegseth,

00:34:17.060 now we know,

00:34:17.540 did not give any second order.

00:34:19.620 He only gave an initial order

00:34:20.960 to take out the boat

00:34:21.960 and now we're hearing

00:34:23.780 that the boat

00:34:24.900 was not destroyed

00:34:25.840 after the first strike.

00:34:26.960 It was only disabled

00:34:29.300 and that it was

00:34:30.720 in enough

00:34:31.660 of good shape

00:34:33.440 that these two survivors

00:34:34.760 were on there

00:34:35.340 reportedly using a radio

00:34:36.780 to contact other narco drugs

00:34:39.040 or boats

00:34:40.060 in the water

00:34:41.400 and listen to how

00:34:42.740 Martha Raddatz

00:34:43.620 on ABC News yesterday

00:34:46.080 reported

00:34:47.200 exactly that.

00:34:49.040 Tonight,

00:34:49.940 new information.

00:34:50.980 According to a source

00:34:52.360 familiar with the incident,

00:34:54.080 the two survivors

00:34:55.160 climbed back

00:34:56.000 onto the boat

00:34:56.860 after the initial strike.

00:34:58.500 They were believed

00:34:59.200 to be potentially

00:35:00.260 in communication

00:35:01.260 with others

00:35:02.080 and salvaging

00:35:03.200 some of the drugs.

00:35:04.700 Because of that,

00:35:05.600 it was determined

00:35:06.240 they were still

00:35:06.920 in the fight

00:35:07.780 and valid targets.

00:35:09.000 A JAG officer

00:35:10.180 was also giving

00:35:11.120 legal advice.

00:35:12.440 So again, David,

00:35:13.160 that video will be key

00:35:14.460 and Admiral Bradley

00:35:15.460 will be on the Hill tomorrow.

00:35:17.400 I mean,

00:35:18.100 for ABC News

00:35:19.060 to have to come out

00:35:19.680 and say it, Michael,

00:35:20.380 really must have hurt.

00:35:21.660 And it's not just them.

00:35:23.080 You've got

00:35:23.880 the Wall Street Journal

00:35:26.000 now reporting

00:35:27.100 citing three Pentagon officials

00:35:28.460 that surveillance video

00:35:29.900 of the operation

00:35:30.540 did not reveal

00:35:31.560 two survivors

00:35:32.420 until an hour

00:35:33.680 after the initial hit.

00:35:34.920 After Hexeth said

00:35:35.840 he stopped monitoring

00:35:37.180 the video feed altogether.

00:35:39.960 And here's what Martha said.

00:35:41.800 Tonight, new information.

00:35:43.240 According to a source

00:35:43.820 familiar with the incident,

00:35:45.000 the two survivors

00:35:45.680 climbed back onto the boat

00:35:47.020 after the initial strike.

00:35:49.140 They were believed

00:35:49.960 to be potentially

00:35:50.920 in communication

00:35:51.680 with others

00:35:52.620 and salvaging

00:35:53.920 some of the drugs.

00:35:55.440 Because of that,

00:35:56.060 it was determined

00:35:56.480 that they were still

00:35:57.080 in the fight,

00:35:57.800 still in the fight,

00:35:58.460 which is a military term of art

00:35:59.780 and valid targets.

00:36:02.420 A JAG officer,

00:36:04.360 meaning Judge Advocate General,

00:36:05.800 a naval law lawyer,

00:36:08.780 was also giving legal advice

00:36:10.960 in the moment.

00:36:13.160 And ABC said,

00:36:13.980 the source said

00:36:14.440 the pair of survivors

00:36:15.120 were later killed

00:36:15.780 in a second strike

00:36:16.440 because they were deemed

00:36:17.180 to, quote,

00:36:17.640 be still in the fight

00:36:18.720 because they were in comms

00:36:20.040 with other vessels nearby

00:36:20.880 and were gathering

00:36:21.400 some of the cargo of drugs

00:36:22.660 that the boat

00:36:23.420 had been carrying.

00:36:24.320 Brian L. Cox,

00:36:25.260 who was on this show

00:36:26.100 two days ago,

00:36:26.960 Cornell law professor

00:36:27.740 and 22-year-old service member,

00:36:30.380 22-year service member,

00:36:31.980 now retired,

00:36:32.540 said hat tip

00:36:34.680 to the journalistic reference

00:36:35.840 to still in the fight,

00:36:36.680 which in legal terms

00:36:38.440 is the opposite

00:36:39.960 of hors de combat,

00:36:42.240 which is the term

00:36:42.960 meaning like out of the fight.

00:36:46.560 It's like you've been shipwrecked,

00:36:48.120 you're out of the fight

00:36:48.860 and you can't be targeted.

00:36:50.520 Still in the fight

00:36:51.180 is exactly the opposite,

00:36:52.100 meaning totally targetable.

00:36:53.420 It's a complete exoneration,

00:36:55.220 complete exoneration

00:36:56.280 of Pete,

00:36:57.600 his admiral,

00:36:58.820 Mitch Bradley,

00:36:59.740 who actually did give the order

00:37:00.900 and gave the order

00:37:02.020 to destroy the boat.

00:37:04.660 And let me just show you

00:37:06.360 the narrative that's out there

00:37:08.560 that has been proven

00:37:09.640 completely wrong.

00:37:12.020 We'll wait for them

00:37:13.600 to correct the record

00:37:14.380 and apologize

00:37:15.120 to the Pentagon

00:37:16.360 and the military leaders,

00:37:17.420 the unfairly besmirched.

00:37:19.900 Watch.

00:37:21.560 There is no lawyer

00:37:23.120 that I'm aware of

00:37:25.060 who indicates

00:37:26.480 that that second strike

00:37:27.980 is not a war crime.

00:37:29.920 These are individuals

00:37:31.720 in the water

00:37:32.440 who were wounded.

00:37:33.480 As far as I'm concerned,

00:37:34.780 there is a war crime 0.97

00:37:35.960 involved here.

00:37:37.120 He's, you know,

00:37:38.780 violated.

00:37:40.100 He has committed war crimes.

00:37:41.920 If the facts are,

00:37:42.940 as have been alleged,

00:37:44.040 that there was

00:37:44.420 a second strike 0.99

00:37:45.320 specifically to kill 1.00

00:37:46.420 the survivors 0.99

00:37:47.020 in the water,

00:37:48.720 that's a stone cold war crime.

00:37:51.580 It's the United States

00:37:53.340 of America

00:37:54.040 on our behalf,

00:37:55.160 on your and my behalf, 0.97

00:37:56.540 killing two individuals 0.54

00:37:57.840 who were unarmed.

00:37:59.440 And that's just shocking.

00:38:00.880 And this is clearly

00:38:01.920 a war crime.

00:38:02.820 You do not execute survivors

00:38:04.580 who are no longer a threat.

00:38:06.080 Everybody understands that.

00:38:07.560 Pete Hexeth has to go.

00:38:08.620 He has to resign.

00:38:09.200 He is a walking,

00:38:10.020 talking national security 0.87

00:38:11.700 embarrassment.

00:38:12.580 I think that Pete Hexeth

00:38:13.840 clearly ordered

00:38:14.900 the code red here.

00:38:16.120 And I also think

00:38:17.380 that that would be

00:38:18.460 a war crime.

00:38:19.160 I think he must resign.

00:38:21.420 Sonny Hauston,

00:38:22.280 Rachel Maddow,

00:38:23.280 that was Congressman

00:38:23.920 Adam Smith

00:38:24.340 before them.

00:38:25.620 I mean,

00:38:25.780 they were clear as day,

00:38:26.600 Michael.

00:38:26.880 They had this case

00:38:27.620 solved from the moment

00:38:29.760 they read the Washington

00:38:30.720 Post report,

00:38:31.440 which has now been

00:38:31.940 contradicted by ABC,

00:38:34.640 by the New York Times,

00:38:36.740 and by the facts,

00:38:39.060 according to anybody

00:38:39.760 who actually was involved

00:38:40.780 in this thing.

00:38:42.640 Clearly a war crime, 0.99

00:38:44.080 they say.

00:38:44.560 Clearly because

00:38:45.320 of an unverified report

00:38:48.000 over an oral order,

00:38:50.280 not a written order,

00:38:51.620 to have a follow-up strike

00:38:54.880 on a legitimate

00:38:56.240 military target,

00:38:57.640 and wow,

00:38:59.020 it just shows you

00:39:00.080 how desperate

00:39:01.100 the Democrats are

00:39:01.840 for anything

00:39:02.560 to hit the Trump

00:39:03.480 administration,

00:39:04.460 and specifically

00:39:05.220 Pete Hexeth.

00:39:06.140 They have been

00:39:06.980 particularly focused

00:39:08.460 on torpedoing Pete

00:39:09.800 since the beginning.

00:39:11.760 He was the one

00:39:12.320 they most tried

00:39:13.140 to boot out.

00:39:14.060 He's their 0.96

00:39:14.480 Venezuelan drug boat.

00:39:15.760 That's what they would

00:39:16.240 like to see happen to him.

00:39:17.460 Yes,

00:39:18.000 and in order

00:39:19.040 to take him out,

00:39:19.720 they are literally

00:39:21.240 taking the side

00:39:22.080 of the Venezuelan

00:39:23.400 narco-terrorists. 0.80

00:39:24.460 It's very funny

00:39:25.140 because Dan Crenshaw,

00:39:26.820 who is a Republican,

00:39:28.120 but obviously he's not

00:39:28.880 the Trumpiest

00:39:29.800 of Republicans

00:39:30.480 in the House,

00:39:31.440 he was asked about this

00:39:33.040 by liberal media,

00:39:34.120 and he said,

00:39:34.660 what are you talking about?

00:39:35.660 He said,

00:39:35.820 I've been in a lot

00:39:36.640 of firefights, okay?

00:39:37.920 And yeah,

00:39:38.960 we generally try 1.00

00:39:39.900 to kill them. 1.00

00:39:40.540 That's the point. 1.00

00:39:41.740 That's why we shoot them 1.00

00:39:43.040 in the first place. 1.00

00:39:43.780 We're trying to kill them. 1.00

00:39:44.640 This is ridiculous, 1.00

00:39:45.560 total non-troversy. 0.94

00:39:47.160 And to your point,

00:39:48.640 what is hinged on

00:39:49.600 is whether or not

00:39:50.340 the people were

00:39:51.640 hors de combat,

00:39:52.880 were out of combat.

00:39:54.540 And obviously,

00:39:56.040 in this case,

00:39:56.860 from all the information

00:39:57.840 we're getting

00:39:58.160 in the follow-up,

00:39:59.180 they were not.

00:40:00.120 And I think really

00:40:01.120 the thing that was

00:40:02.100 clobbering the Democrats

00:40:03.240 after this

00:40:03.840 is,

00:40:04.540 got to give a hat tip

00:40:05.420 to Mays on X,

00:40:07.540 pulled up a great clip.

00:40:08.600 this video of Joe Biden,

00:40:11.680 1989,

00:40:13.140 giving a speech,

00:40:13.760 I thought it was

00:40:14.160 AI-generated at first,

00:40:15.820 in which he defends

00:40:17.340 precisely the Trump

00:40:19.480 administration's policy

00:40:20.540 on these narco-terrorists, 0.76

00:40:22.380 including using the very phrase

00:40:24.520 narco-terrorism

00:40:25.760 and calling for

00:40:26.800 an international strike force

00:40:28.220 to stop the drugs

00:40:29.660 where they originate.

00:40:31.200 So,

00:40:31.680 this is something

00:40:32.460 that everyone agreed on

00:40:33.440 until about five minutes ago.

00:40:35.380 The Democrats are in

00:40:36.460 such a bad position

00:40:37.560 arguing for their

00:40:38.820 economic policies,

00:40:39.820 their migration policies,

00:40:41.040 their domestic social policies,

00:40:42.760 really just about everything,

00:40:44.460 even healthcare,

00:40:45.260 doesn't really work

00:40:45.900 for them anymore,

00:40:46.640 that they are now

00:40:47.440 taking the side

00:40:48.220 of narco-terrorists 0.81

00:40:50.080 in a state

00:40:51.100 that is a sworn enemy

00:40:52.380 of the United States.

00:40:53.660 And even that

00:40:54.400 they can't do right.

00:40:55.600 It really is incredible

00:40:57.120 in how much

00:40:57.800 they have attacked

00:40:59.060 poor Pete Hegseth

00:41:01.040 for something

00:41:01.960 he didn't do at all.

00:41:03.400 And also,

00:41:04.260 Admiral Bradley,

00:41:04.900 here's the maze

00:41:05.960 posting

00:41:07.020 with Joe Biden yesterday.

00:41:08.400 I'll just read

00:41:08.980 a transcript

00:41:09.780 of what Biden says

00:41:10.820 in part.

00:41:13.560 He says,

00:41:14.040 let's go after

00:41:14.720 the drug lords

00:41:15.580 where they live

00:41:16.540 with an international

00:41:17.840 strike force.

00:41:19.180 There must be

00:41:19.660 no safe haven 0.96

00:41:20.680 for these narco-terrorists 1.00

00:41:22.240 and they must know it.

00:41:24.760 That was him

00:41:25.300 finding Joe Biden

00:41:26.320 back in 1989

00:41:27.840 saying exactly that

00:41:29.920 in a televised message

00:41:30.740 from the Democrat Party

00:41:31.720 calling on President

00:41:32.860 H.W. Bush

00:41:34.420 to do more

00:41:35.380 to stop the flow

00:41:35.980 of drugs

00:41:36.380 into the country.

00:41:37.920 It's crazy.

00:41:38.800 A strike force 0.98

00:41:39.400 to attack the drug dealers 0.98

00:41:41.080 before they reach 0.99

00:41:42.000 our borders.

00:41:43.080 Now, when that exact

00:41:43.880 thing is done

00:41:44.580 because it's done

00:41:45.640 by a Trump administration

00:41:47.020 and a Pete Hegseth

00:41:47.880 who they can't stand

00:41:48.720 and dismiss as a Fox News host,

00:41:50.520 it's a war crime 1.00

00:41:51.780 based on made-up shit 1.00

00:41:54.020 that I have no idea 1.00

00:41:55.700 where it even originated.

00:41:56.980 None of it

00:41:57.320 has proven true.

00:41:58.960 All right,

00:41:59.080 let's keep going.

00:42:00.580 These same outlets

00:42:01.640 are calling President Trump

00:42:02.740 a racist today.

00:42:04.700 That's how my little friends

00:42:05.940 over at NPR

00:42:06.900 where I begin my day,

00:42:08.240 I do it so you don't have to.

00:42:09.800 Every day,

00:42:10.720 I listen to their

00:42:11.420 terrible morning podcast. 0.95

00:42:13.380 It's full of lies. 0.99

00:42:14.700 They hate Trump. 0.77

00:42:16.160 It's kind of amusing

00:42:16.980 just for that reason

00:42:17.800 to be honest.

00:42:18.640 I listen to Morning Wire

00:42:19.660 and I listen to my own show,

00:42:22.280 A Morning Update

00:42:22.920 with my husband, Doug.

00:42:24.720 Anyway,

00:42:25.780 they're very, very upset

00:42:26.780 over Donald Trump

00:42:27.980 sounding like a racist,

00:42:30.340 they say,

00:42:31.200 at the Tuesday cabinet meeting

00:42:32.640 by saying the following.

00:42:33.920 Stop four. 0.70

00:42:36.240 I don't want them

00:42:37.200 in our country,

00:42:37.880 I'll be honest with you.

00:42:38.920 I don't want them

00:42:39.600 in our country.

00:42:40.360 Their country's no good

00:42:41.360 for a reason. 0.99

00:42:42.600 Their country stinks 0.97

00:42:43.860 and we don't want them 1.00

00:42:45.600 in our country.

00:42:46.300 I can say that

00:42:46.980 about other countries too.

00:42:48.960 I can say it

00:42:49.740 about other countries too.

00:42:51.080 We don't want them to hell.

00:42:52.080 We have to rebuild

00:42:53.920 our country.

00:42:55.140 You know,

00:42:55.400 our country's

00:42:55.960 at a tipping point.

00:42:57.760 We could go bad.

00:42:58.860 We're at a tipping point.

00:42:59.860 We could go one way

00:43:00.740 or the other

00:43:01.220 and we're going to go

00:43:03.520 the wrong way

00:43:04.120 if we keep taking

00:43:04.920 in garbage

00:43:05.500 into our country. 1.00

00:43:07.420 Ilhan Omar is garbage. 1.00

00:43:09.440 She's garbage. 1.00

00:43:10.660 Her friends are garbage. 1.00

00:43:12.580 These aren't people 1.00

00:43:13.220 that work.

00:43:13.820 These aren't people

00:43:14.460 that say,

00:43:14.880 let's go,

00:43:15.380 come on,

00:43:15.720 let's make this place great.

00:43:17.280 These are people

00:43:17.900 that do nothing

00:43:18.620 but complain.

00:43:20.620 They complain.

00:43:21.480 But when they come

00:43:22.520 from hell

00:43:23.160 and they complain

00:43:25.420 and do nothing 1.00

00:43:26.940 but bitch, 1.00

00:43:28.760 we don't want them 1.00

00:43:29.760 in our country. 0.97

00:43:30.880 Let them go back

00:43:31.880 to where they came from

00:43:33.300 and fix it.

00:43:36.140 In response to which

00:43:37.320 the vast majority

00:43:37.960 of Americans

00:43:38.500 were like,

00:43:39.180 yeah,

00:43:39.960 tracks,

00:43:40.940 but no.

00:43:42.540 If you listen to NPR,

00:43:43.900 if you listen to MSNBC,

00:43:45.160 if you read

00:43:45.460 the New York Times, 0.99

00:43:46.640 he's a racist. 0.99

00:43:47.680 And if you shook 1.00

00:43:48.500 your head yes

00:43:48.980 in response to that, 1.00

00:43:50.060 you too are a racist, 0.99

00:43:51.260 Michael Knowles. 0.99

00:43:52.440 I loved that clip so much.

00:43:54.520 It was just after Thanksgiving.

00:43:56.200 And you know,

00:43:56.540 for some, 0.93

00:43:56.960 I am the crazy conservative 0.96

00:43:58.180 uncle at Thanksgiving. 0.97

00:43:59.080 I try to be,

00:44:00.020 I try to be put together,

00:44:01.800 polite and accommodating.

00:44:03.400 But you know,

00:44:03.800 you would say,

00:44:04.160 hey, hey,

00:44:04.660 come on,

00:44:05.040 don't get political at dinner.

00:44:06.260 I say,

00:44:06.440 all right,

00:44:06.700 I won't get political.

00:44:07.620 Don't worry.

00:44:08.820 And then I have one sip of beer

00:44:10.340 and it's,

00:44:11.020 I'm just trying.

00:44:11.680 I don't want them

00:44:12.260 in our country. 1.00

00:44:13.700 Ilhan's trash. 1.00

00:44:14.940 I want them out. 1.00

00:44:15.900 They contribute nothing.

00:44:18.300 And most people agree with that.

00:44:20.980 And I think it's not even just

00:44:22.260 to beat up on the Somalis 1.00

00:44:23.320 in particular,

00:44:24.180 even though they have taken

00:44:25.400 over a major American city,

00:44:26.840 defrauded the taxpayers

00:44:27.800 and funded terrorism overseas

00:44:29.180 and complained about it

00:44:30.320 the whole time

00:44:30.640 and married their brother

00:44:31.720 and violated immigration law.

00:44:33.180 And look,

00:44:33.640 we could go on and on and on,

00:44:34.640 but I don't mean to beat up

00:44:35.700 on them.

00:44:37.300 So,

00:44:37.940 you know,

00:44:38.580 the real issue here is

00:44:40.360 you have to ask,

00:44:41.460 why did we bring them here?

00:44:44.200 What is this?

00:44:45.100 What is immigration for?

00:44:47.040 I mean,

00:44:47.240 that's really the point

00:44:48.540 that Trump is getting us to.

00:44:49.960 And,

00:44:50.380 you know,

00:44:50.820 he's,

00:44:51.160 he uses provocative language

00:44:52.420 to get us to pay attention.

00:44:53.480 And now that's what we're debating.

00:44:55.360 What do the Somalis bring? 1.00

00:44:57.480 They don't really contribute anything.

00:44:59.300 They have a 60% poverty rate

00:45:01.420 in Minneapolis.

00:45:03.200 They have,

00:45:04.140 what,

00:45:04.300 what is it?

00:45:04.860 40% education rate for,

00:45:07.720 you know,

00:45:07.900 it's,

00:45:08.080 it's just,

00:45:08.760 they don't really contribute anything.

00:45:10.660 And you say,

00:45:11.060 okay,

00:45:11.320 well,

00:45:11.580 are they here because

00:45:12.440 they're suffering some particular persecution

00:45:14.420 and as a charitable policy of the U.S.,

00:45:16.140 we're taking them in as refugees?

00:45:17.740 Not really.

00:45:18.360 It's just that their country

00:45:19.220 is generally bad.

00:45:20.700 Okay,

00:45:20.940 well,

00:45:21.140 there are plenty of generally bad countries

00:45:22.820 in the world.

00:45:23.180 We're not going to take them all in.

00:45:24.440 Our country wouldn't survive five minutes

00:45:25.980 if that were the case.

00:45:26.920 Okay,

00:45:27.340 are we taking them in because,

00:45:30.500 have we aggrieved them in some way?

00:45:32.200 That's sometimes an argument

00:45:33.780 for bringing people to the country.

00:45:35.260 No,

00:45:35.580 we've only ever tried to help Somalia.

00:45:37.880 We've only ever been nice to the,

00:45:39.640 we can't say that for every country in the world,

00:45:41.040 but to Somalia,

00:45:42.100 yeah,

00:45:42.300 we've basically only ever tried to be nice to them.

00:45:44.420 And so we don't,

00:45:45.520 we don't owe them anything in particular.

00:45:47.220 What,

00:45:47.420 so what's it for?

00:45:49.400 And the only answer

00:45:51.000 that the liberals ultimately can give is,

00:45:53.740 well,

00:45:54.120 because we're bad

00:45:55.940 and they're different

00:45:56.780 and so we're going to bring them in

00:45:58.220 and that's it.

00:45:58.940 And because,

00:45:59.500 because we don't like you,

00:46:00.820 Native American population,

00:46:02.460 we don't like you,

00:46:03.360 most voters,

00:46:04.520 we don't,

00:46:04.840 and that's what we're going to do.

00:46:05.820 I mean,

00:46:06.080 and,

00:46:06.360 and some of them go even further than that

00:46:08.000 and they say,

00:46:08.460 we want to bring in totally different people

00:46:10.400 because that's going to change the electorate

00:46:12.520 and then we'll win more elections.

00:46:13.620 Okay.

00:46:13.960 Well,

00:46:14.360 that doesn't work for me.

00:46:15.640 Okay.

00:46:16.260 And I'll tell you,

00:46:17.180 this is a really beautiful moment of clarity

00:46:19.240 because when I was a kid,

00:46:20.340 there were two views

00:46:21.100 that you were allowed to have on immigration.

00:46:22.880 You could either want more illegal immigration 0.99

00:46:24.800 or you could want only more legal immigration,

00:46:27.600 but you had to want more migration.

00:46:29.940 That,

00:46:29.980 that was everything else was beyond the bill.

00:46:31.860 Now,

00:46:32.320 I think people are beginning to say,

00:46:33.340 hold on,

00:46:33.600 I don't only care about the procedural norm

00:46:35.960 of how the migrants come in.

00:46:37.740 We have the highest foreign born percentage

00:46:39.360 of the population ever.

00:46:40.880 I just,

00:46:41.420 what if I just want less migration?

00:46:43.400 And let me say something even more verboten

00:46:45.560 that you couldn't say for many years.

00:46:47.580 It seems pretty clear at this point

00:46:49.760 that some people are easier to assimilate than others.

00:46:53.740 If we share,

00:46:55.120 I don't know,

00:46:55.600 the same religion,

00:46:56.580 the same language,

00:46:57.540 the same traditions,

00:46:58.500 the same institutions,

00:46:59.540 in some cases,

00:47:00.340 the same broad family

00:47:01.300 because we came from England.

00:47:02.500 Okay.

00:47:02.720 Maybe those guys are easier to assimilate

00:47:04.900 and I'll go one step further.

00:47:06.680 Maybe some people as groups

00:47:09.080 contribute more to the country than others.

00:47:11.220 These were all things

00:47:11.920 you were not allowed to say

00:47:13.220 10 or 20 years ago.

00:47:14.620 And yet these are all things that are true.

00:47:16.640 They have been part of the conversation

00:47:18.220 around immigration,

00:47:18.980 going back to classical antiquity

00:47:20.540 by some of the most moral

00:47:21.800 and brilliant political thinkers of all time.

00:47:23.780 And Trump's bringing it back

00:47:25.200 and the libs can whine about it, 1.00

00:47:26.540 but his message is resonating

00:47:28.300 because he's stating the truth.

00:47:29.800 It should be harder

00:47:31.460 to get into the United States

00:47:33.180 than it is to get into Yale.

00:47:35.480 It really should.

00:47:36.540 We should be having

00:47:37.300 that level of screening,

00:47:39.520 like aptitude tests,

00:47:41.460 background checks,

00:47:43.080 assessment of whether they are paying,

00:47:45.260 contributing members to society

00:47:46.860 in the place from which they hail.

00:47:49.760 And other than that,

00:47:50.880 only the most dire asylum claims

00:47:52.800 should be even considered.

00:47:53.980 and from people who were rejected

00:47:56.360 for some other reason

00:47:57.400 can't go to a different country for asylum.

00:47:59.080 You know,

00:47:59.360 I'm not sure why the United States

00:48:00.480 would be the first place of refuge

00:48:02.160 for virtually anyone

00:48:03.020 other than a Canadian.

00:48:05.500 It's just,

00:48:06.200 that's what Trump is trying to change.

00:48:07.580 And by the way,

00:48:08.580 you can call it racist all you want,

00:48:10.060 but what he said about Somalia is true.

00:48:12.260 We just did a quick fact check

00:48:13.400 on Somalian crime

00:48:14.760 from the U.S. State Department.

00:48:16.600 Violent crimes common throughout Somalia,

00:48:18.460 including kidnapping,

00:48:19.560 murder,

00:48:20.280 illegal roadblocks,

00:48:21.580 widespread.

00:48:22.780 Terrorists continue to plot kidnappings,

00:48:24.520 bombings,

00:48:24.920 and other attacks there.

00:48:26.260 They may attack with little to no warning.

00:48:28.240 Airports,

00:48:28.640 government buildings,

00:48:29.240 hotels,

00:48:29.580 restaurants,

00:48:29.940 shopping areas,

00:48:30.460 public places that attract

00:48:31.540 large crowds and tourists.

00:48:33.720 Trump says they've taken billions

00:48:34.820 of dollars from our country.

00:48:36.360 Yep,

00:48:36.860 they have.

00:48:37.460 They looted taxpayers

00:48:38.380 over one billion

00:48:40.760 in Minneapolis

00:48:43.520 that was intended

00:48:44.680 for child food assistance.

00:48:46.320 And they're sending it back home

00:48:47.720 to Somalia,

00:48:48.360 reportedly to Al-Shabaab,

00:48:49.660 some portion of it,

00:48:50.500 a terrorist group

00:48:51.260 that's doing some of that stuff

00:48:52.400 I just ticked off.

00:48:53.680 78 of the 86 individuals

00:48:55.440 charged so far

00:48:56.500 are Somalis.

00:48:58.160 So just,

00:48:58.540 I mean,

00:48:58.700 like, 1.00

00:48:58.860 just stop with your stupid, 1.00

00:49:00.620 it's racist. 1.00

00:49:01.900 It's true.

00:49:03.100 And by the way,

00:49:03.860 he wasn't even saying

00:49:04.560 that it's every Somali.

00:49:05.860 He was talking about

00:49:06.860 people like Ilhan Omar,

00:49:08.780 who honestly is awful,

00:49:11.240 and people

00:49:12.160 who are committing

00:49:12.960 fraud against us,

00:49:13.920 who take advantage

00:49:14.700 of our good graces

00:49:16.220 and our nice invitation

00:49:17.420 to have them here

00:49:18.160 and give them

00:49:18.920 taxpayer money

00:49:19.740 and defraud us.

00:49:21.500 What is it?

00:49:22.240 What should he be calling them?

00:49:23.860 Heroes?

00:49:24.920 People to look up to? 1.00

00:49:25.900 I think garbage 0.99

00:49:26.560 is more than fair 0.99

00:49:27.360 for anybody.

00:49:28.500 It doesn't,

00:49:28.900 you're not allowed

00:49:29.440 to say it, though, 0.99

00:49:30.040 because they're black 0.95

00:49:30.820 and under New York Times

00:49:32.460 and NPR rules,

00:49:33.780 they can't be criticized.

00:49:35.580 Well,

00:49:36.140 in that case,

00:49:37.040 then I'll turn our attention

00:49:37.860 to people 0.99

00:49:38.320 who are not black

00:49:38.980 but only slightly brown

00:49:40.080 because I think

00:49:40.680 it clarifies it, too.

00:49:42.080 When J.D. Vance

00:49:43.980 was doing

00:49:44.340 that famous interview

00:49:45.300 in which he was arguing

00:49:46.640 over importing Afghanis

00:49:48.500 and the liberal interviewer

00:49:50.900 kept giving all of these

00:49:51.880 justifications for doing it

00:49:53.060 and he said,

00:49:54.020 look,

00:49:54.280 frankly, Margaret,

00:49:55.280 I don't care.

00:49:56.060 I don't want these people 0.94

00:49:56.920 in my country.

00:49:57.940 And he was truly

00:49:58.920 the voice of the American people

00:50:00.500 in particular

00:50:01.480 at that moment.

00:50:02.800 And he was ultimately

00:50:04.260 tragically proven right 0.64

00:50:05.520 just the day

00:50:06.100 before Thanksgiving

00:50:06.780 when the Afghan 0.85

00:50:07.880 supposed refugees

00:50:09.000 and allies

00:50:09.720 shot two of

00:50:11.100 our National Guardsmen.

00:50:12.640 J.D. Vance

00:50:13.080 was just reacting

00:50:13.760 to the fact

00:50:14.300 that our supposed

00:50:15.020 Afghan allies

00:50:16.180 and refugees

00:50:17.000 plotted a terror attack

00:50:18.800 on Election Day

00:50:20.060 of 2024.

00:50:21.420 And so you can give

00:50:22.540 all of the justifications

00:50:23.500 in the world,

00:50:24.880 dubious though they may be,

00:50:26.340 on why we really must

00:50:27.820 to bring in

00:50:28.780 Afghanis

00:50:29.780 and Somalis

00:50:30.460 and people

00:50:31.060 who are very,

00:50:32.140 very difficult

00:50:32.640 to assimilate

00:50:33.300 from third world 0.89

00:50:34.440 dangerous places

00:50:35.540 who pose a real threat

00:50:36.720 to the American

00:50:37.220 political order

00:50:37.960 and to Americans

00:50:38.980 in a very direct way.

00:50:40.600 You can come up

00:50:41.600 with all those

00:50:42.200 rationalizations you want.

00:50:43.740 But frankly,

00:50:44.300 Margaret,

00:50:44.860 we don't care.

00:50:46.140 We don't want

00:50:46.680 those people

00:50:47.200 in the country.

00:50:48.560 We're Americans

00:50:49.500 and we have a right

00:50:50.860 to our own country.

00:50:52.340 We're supposedly

00:50:53.380 a self-government here.

00:50:54.720 Don't you guys

00:50:55.500 always exalt

00:50:56.420 our sacred democracy?

00:50:58.020 Well, look,

00:50:58.880 if we don't have

00:50:59.800 a right to determine

00:51:00.680 who comes in,

00:51:02.080 who milks

00:51:02.600 the taxpayer money,

00:51:03.980 hitting the dole

00:51:04.740 and welfare,

00:51:05.800 who ultimately

00:51:07.020 get on the voter rolls

00:51:08.240 and certainly

00:51:08.920 whose children

00:51:09.340 get on the voter rolls

00:51:10.300 and who fundamentally

00:51:11.340 transform our government

00:51:12.820 and our political society,

00:51:13.960 then you know what?

00:51:14.620 We don't have a country

00:51:15.380 and we don't have

00:51:15.820 a democracy.

00:51:16.440 We don't have

00:51:16.720 anything like it.

00:51:17.520 So you can come up

00:51:18.520 with all the explanations

00:51:19.340 you want as to how

00:51:20.260 Somalia is so great

00:51:21.200 and it's just been

00:51:22.240 misunderstood for eternity.

00:51:23.700 But frankly, Margaret,

00:51:25.020 we don't care.

00:51:26.280 And that message

00:51:27.800 is the one

00:51:28.220 that's going to resonate.

00:51:29.660 Frankly, Margaret,

00:51:30.440 we don't give a damn. 0.62

00:51:31.460 Back to the bombing

00:51:33.080 of that drug vessel

00:51:34.300 that came in.

00:51:35.440 They're having a hearing

00:51:36.040 on it right now

00:51:36.760 with Admiral Bradley,

00:51:38.100 the guy who gave the order,

00:51:39.720 and Dan Raisin-Cain,

00:51:42.680 chairman of the Joint Chiefs.

00:51:43.920 Listen to what

00:51:44.360 Senator Tom Cotton

00:51:45.200 just says

00:51:45.740 after having seen

00:51:47.060 the video

00:51:48.040 of the actual strike,

00:51:49.720 the whole thing.

00:51:50.300 Watch.

00:51:52.040 Senator,

00:51:52.600 you said that the strikes

00:51:53.420 were righteous,

00:51:54.100 that there were four of them.

00:51:55.000 Would you have taken

00:51:55.520 the same shot

00:51:56.140 if you were in that position?

00:51:58.240 If I was Admiral Bradley

00:51:59.420 and I'd been delegating

00:52:00.260 that for you,

00:52:00.680 absolutely.

00:52:02.020 I'd do it again.

00:52:02.880 Was there more

00:52:03.300 than four shots?

00:52:04.580 No, there's four.

00:52:05.440 Absolutely.

00:52:06.320 He said I'd do it again.

00:52:07.180 He expanded saying

00:52:08.040 the boat strikes

00:52:08.640 were entirely lawful.

00:52:09.960 He would have conducted

00:52:10.720 the second strike.

00:52:11.480 The targets were not

00:52:12.920 non-combatants,

00:52:14.840 meaning they were combatants.

00:52:16.240 And he said Admiral Bradley

00:52:17.260 denied that there was

00:52:18.180 any kill-them-all order 0.92

00:52:19.580 given by Pete Hegseth. 0.81

00:52:21.200 The entire narrative

00:52:22.880 pushed by WAPO

00:52:24.240 has fallen apart.

00:52:25.340 Hold it there, Michael.

00:52:26.200 We're back in just

00:52:27.000 a couple minutes.

00:52:27.940 We'll see what's happening

00:52:28.700 at FBI,

00:52:29.740 and I'm going to take

00:52:30.720 a quick break.

00:52:31.260 Don't go anywhere.

00:52:32.740 Ever read the label

00:52:33.780 on a typical bag of chips?

00:52:35.620 It's often a science experiment

00:52:37.020 of seed oils,

00:52:38.100 MSG,

00:52:38.920 artificial dyes,

00:52:39.820 and mystery ingredients.

00:52:42.300 Masa is part of

00:52:43.420 the growing movement

00:52:44.520 to bring back real food.

00:52:46.780 Masa chips

00:52:47.520 contain just three ingredients,

00:52:49.200 organic corn,

00:52:50.740 sea salt,

00:52:51.680 and 100% grass-fed

00:52:53.460 beef tallow.

00:52:55.120 Not only do these chips

00:52:56.260 avoid the bad stuff,

00:52:57.880 they also taste delicious, too.

00:53:00.860 Snacking on Masa chips

00:53:01.980 is nothing like

00:53:02.940 eating regular chips.

00:53:04.360 With Masa,

00:53:04.960 you feel satisfied,

00:53:06.560 light,

00:55:03.080 Real Clear Politics

00:55:03.940 and many more.

00:55:05.640 It's bold,

00:55:17.000 We are back

00:55:17.940 with Michael Knowles

00:55:18.600 of the Daily Wire,

00:55:20.420 Michael Knowles show

00:55:22.040 and still awaiting now.

00:55:23.860 We are told

00:55:24.480 that they are on track

00:55:25.460 for this 1 p.m. presser.

00:55:26.660 It's 1 p.m. exactly now

00:55:27.660 East Coast time

00:55:28.440 on the arrest

00:55:29.420 of the January 6th

00:55:30.580 accused pipe bomber

00:55:32.160 who's now in custody

00:55:34.020 named by several outlets

00:55:35.580 as Brian Cole.

00:55:37.360 There are some reports

00:55:38.160 circulating

00:55:38.680 that he is

00:55:40.280 Brian Cole Jr.

00:55:42.200 and some reporting

00:55:42.940 about Brian Cole Sr.

00:55:44.520 and what he may

00:55:45.180 or may not do.

00:55:45.900 I'm not going to get into it

00:55:46.700 until we know

00:55:47.240 it's the actual guy.

00:55:48.900 There's no point.

00:55:49.580 We'll find out

00:55:50.160 everything we need to know

00:55:51.200 soon enough.

00:55:52.080 But we are told

00:55:52.540 he was arrested

00:55:53.040 this morning.

00:55:54.460 He's in custody

00:55:55.140 and police are now

00:55:56.420 on the scene.

00:55:57.520 We just got video in

00:55:58.480 of search dogs

00:56:00.140 roaming around

00:56:02.000 the back of Brian Cole

00:56:03.640 the accused

00:56:05.020 of his property.

00:56:06.280 We're showing it here.

00:56:07.260 This is actually

00:56:08.240 from Fox News

00:56:08.960 where you can see

00:56:09.760 not much really.

00:56:11.380 It's an aerial shot

00:56:12.160 through the top of trees

00:56:13.180 down into what looks

00:56:14.400 like a modest backyard,

00:56:16.740 a small patio.

00:56:17.660 Maybe if you zoom in there

00:56:20.360 you can see dogs.

00:56:21.160 I don't.

00:56:21.540 Oh yeah.

00:56:21.840 I guess I see one.

00:56:24.420 I see people.

00:56:25.860 Maybe people and dogs 0.98

00:56:26.840 according to my producer.

00:56:28.320 There are both.

00:56:29.920 Okay.

00:56:30.440 I want to tell you this too.

00:56:31.580 Now we're getting

00:56:32.200 the thing that always

00:56:34.060 comes out, Michael,

00:56:34.980 the interviews

00:56:35.720 of the neighbors

00:56:37.000 which sometimes

00:56:38.800 are probing

00:56:39.660 and sometimes are not

00:56:41.180 but they're always

00:56:41.700 mildly interesting.

00:56:43.480 The New York Post

00:56:44.340 reporting as follows.

00:56:45.200 Calls to relatives of Cole

00:56:46.460 listed in public records

00:56:47.880 not immediately returned

00:56:48.780 but neighbors

00:56:49.260 in this suburban

00:56:50.280 cul-de-sac

00:56:50.840 where he lives

00:56:51.540 described a young man

00:56:53.140 who shunned interaction

00:56:54.440 and doted on a

00:56:56.520 wait for it

00:56:57.300 pet chihuahua.

00:57:01.500 All right.

00:57:02.860 Guilty.

00:57:03.820 I'm just going to say it.

00:57:05.780 He's very antisocial.

00:57:08.860 Very.

00:57:09.620 A woman who said

00:57:10.460 she had lived

00:57:10.960 in the neighborhood

00:57:11.380 for decades

00:57:11.920 told the Post

00:57:12.540 he keeps to himself.

00:57:14.540 He has a dog

00:57:15.260 that he loves.

00:57:16.400 He walks every day

00:57:17.320 twice a day

00:57:17.920 to 7-Eleven

00:57:18.540 with his dog

00:57:19.380 and he wears

00:57:20.200 his headphones.

00:57:21.860 He seemed very quiet.

00:57:23.240 He would never

00:57:23.620 make eye contact

00:57:24.440 almost like

00:57:25.080 he just didn't see you

00:57:26.480 added a second neighbor

00:57:27.420 a man who noted

00:57:28.460 that Cole would

00:57:29.100 quote wear shorts

00:57:30.140 all winter long.

00:57:31.480 Well so does my Thatcher

00:57:32.680 who's 12.

00:57:33.660 That doesn't mean

00:57:34.200 you're a bomber

00:57:34.720 and likes red Crocs.

00:57:37.860 I'm pretty shocked

00:57:38.640 said this neighbor

00:57:39.340 who lived in the area

00:57:40.840 for seven years

00:57:41.700 this is a very

00:57:43.180 uncommonly friendly

00:57:44.140 and neighborly place

00:57:45.080 to live.

00:57:46.180 The second neighbor

00:57:46.780 said he doubted

00:57:47.720 that Cole was the person

00:57:48.620 recorded planning

00:57:49.420 the bombs

00:57:50.340 claiming the suspect

00:57:51.140 has quote

00:57:51.760 uncommonly short legs

00:57:54.300 and a simple gait analysis

00:57:56.740 could rule him out

00:57:57.900 or confirm him

00:57:58.820 as the culprit.

00:58:00.520 Now don't be too sure

00:58:01.400 of that

00:58:01.780 because that's what

00:58:02.400 the blaze used

00:58:03.160 in order to accuse

00:58:04.460 some woman 0.52

00:58:05.220 of being the perp

00:58:06.780 and it appears

00:58:07.360 according to this FBI

00:58:08.380 that gait analysis

00:58:09.980 is not all that accurate

00:58:11.160 because theirs said

00:58:12.000 it was something

00:58:13.080 like a 96% chance

00:58:14.680 it was the actual

00:58:15.600 bomber

00:58:16.640 now being told

00:58:17.800 that's not true

00:58:18.460 by the FBI.

00:58:19.860 So you always

00:58:20.860 get the details

00:58:22.260 red Crocs

00:58:23.600 and a little

00:58:24.720 chihuahua

00:58:25.660 that he loves

00:58:27.160 and pets

00:58:28.400 all the time

00:58:29.100 but with humans

00:58:30.240 not so much.

00:58:32.200 It's always the quiet ones

00:58:33.820 Megan.

00:58:34.340 You know

00:58:34.600 this reminds me

00:58:35.900 I react to so many

00:58:37.560 news stories this way

00:58:38.720 it's always the ones

00:58:40.280 you most expect.

00:58:41.700 You know

00:58:41.920 I know our culture

00:58:42.860 tells us the opposite

00:58:43.900 but a good rule of thumb

00:58:45.640 is it's always the ones

00:58:46.880 you most expect

00:58:47.780 and I think that's why

00:58:49.120 look

00:58:49.320 we could find out

00:58:50.580 that this guy

00:58:51.560 is a Republican

00:58:52.760 we could find out

00:58:53.720 he's a conservative

00:58:54.420 I guess

00:58:55.120 we could

00:58:55.500 anything

00:58:56.200 we could find out

00:58:56.860 he doesn't have

00:58:57.480 a political motive

00:58:58.200 you know

00:58:58.500 anything is on the table

00:58:59.880 right now.

00:59:01.240 Yeah

00:59:01.320 however

00:59:01.840 the Red Crocs

00:59:02.980 the chihuahua

00:59:04.300 he was such a quiet

00:59:06.060 young boy

00:59:06.700 and

00:59:07.400 the pipe bomb

00:59:08.780 does make us think

00:59:10.360 it would seem likely

00:59:11.320 that if he has a political motive

00:59:12.720 the political motive

00:59:13.500 would be

00:59:13.920 would be more on the left

00:59:15.080 that's just in keeping

00:59:16.360 with the patterns

00:59:17.120 that we've seen

00:59:17.740 and patterns don't

00:59:19.380 you know

00:59:20.020 predict everything

00:59:20.760 but

00:59:21.440 but they're

00:59:22.340 they're rules for a reason

00:59:23.300 you know

00:59:23.520 and exceptions prove rules

00:59:24.800 also the fact

00:59:26.260 that there were pipe bombs

00:59:27.100 planted

00:59:27.480 at both the DNC

00:59:29.080 and the RNC

00:59:30.680 does suggest

00:59:31.800 anarchistic behavior.

00:59:33.480 Totally

00:59:33.920 that's very Antifa

00:59:35.060 That's Antifa's

00:59:36.660 MO

00:59:37.060 without question

00:59:38.800 and so

00:59:39.480 we don't know

00:59:40.620 if he was a quiet guy

00:59:41.640 if he wasn't

00:59:42.100 particularly social

00:59:43.100 then one wonders

00:59:44.500 if there's going to be

00:59:45.500 a heavily

00:59:45.900 online aspect

00:59:47.460 to his radicalization

00:59:48.920 to his planning

00:59:50.120 that is also

00:59:50.900 usually the case

00:59:52.060 in

00:59:52.540 left-wing terrorism

00:59:54.720 so

00:59:55.560 we don't know

00:59:56.320 for now

00:59:56.680 however

00:59:56.980 it is worth

00:59:57.520 pointing out

00:59:58.000 at this moment

00:59:58.640 before the FBI

00:59:59.520 has come out to speak

01:00:00.320 all of the details

01:00:02.080 up to

01:00:02.760 and especially

01:00:03.480 including the chihuahua

01:00:04.840 do point to someone

01:00:06.420 who would be on the left

01:00:07.540 rather than on the right

01:00:08.380 my friends listening to this

01:00:09.960 who have chihuahuas

01:00:10.880 are writing in right now

01:00:11.740 upset

01:00:12.060 we forgive you

01:00:13.400 and we don't believe

01:00:15.000 you bombed anything

01:00:15.740 okay

01:00:17.600 let's keep going

01:00:18.160 there's so much news

01:00:18.880 let's go

01:00:21.100 back

01:00:22.120 to

01:00:23.100 Ilhan Omar

01:00:24.460 okay

01:00:24.980 because there's more on her

01:00:25.860 and Trump's comments

01:00:27.660 just wanted to get a couple

01:00:29.020 of these in

01:00:29.460 Terry Moran

01:00:30.420 who's now departed

01:00:31.180 from ABC

01:00:31.760 he's very upset

01:00:32.620 he's one of the people

01:00:33.320 who thinks

01:00:33.700 Trump

01:00:35.020 has been smearing 0.95

01:00:36.220 the Somalis

01:00:37.040 unfairly

01:00:37.620 just want to give you

01:00:38.140 some color on it

01:00:38.760 here's thought six 1.00

01:00:39.580 first it's a stupid 1.00

01:00:42.520 thing to say 0.99

01:00:43.320 there are about

01:00:43.920 200,000

01:00:44.760 Somali Americans

01:00:45.720 refugees

01:00:46.260 immigrants

01:00:46.960 and American born

01:00:48.140 kids too

01:00:48.900 and they came here

01:00:50.060 because they believe

01:00:51.280 that America

01:00:51.820 keeps her promise

01:00:52.900 that this land

01:00:54.040 is big enough

01:00:55.140 and brave enough

01:00:56.200 to offer safety

01:00:57.520 and dignity

01:00:58.260 and upward mobility

01:00:59.380 to hard workers

01:01:00.740 and big dreamers

01:01:01.720 from around the world

01:01:02.840 Somali Americans

01:01:03.820 are working

01:01:04.620 hard

01:01:05.140 they're starting businesses

01:01:06.580 paying taxes

01:01:07.520 raising families

01:01:08.760 second

01:01:09.940 presidents should not

01:01:11.660 talk like that

01:01:12.640 no decent person

01:01:14.060 should call any other 0.99

01:01:15.200 human being garbage 1.00

01:01:16.280 but Trump does it 1.00

01:01:17.660 not just because

01:01:18.700 he is that kind of man

01:01:20.000 but for political reasons

01:01:21.480 he wants to drag people 1.00

01:01:23.120 down to his level

01:01:24.380 give them permission

01:01:25.640 to become the worst

01:01:27.480 version of themselves

01:01:28.620 and join him

01:01:29.800 in remaking our country

01:01:31.500 in his image

01:01:32.720 okay Terry

01:01:35.480 thanks a lot

01:01:36.980 we appreciate that

01:01:38.360 he thinks

01:01:40.240 President Trump

01:01:40.960 is out of line

01:01:42.080 and is very angry

01:01:42.820 about it Michael

01:01:43.400 thoughts

01:01:44.340 listen Terry

01:01:45.940 Ilhan Omar

01:01:46.700 is not going to

01:01:47.440 marry you bro

01:01:48.200 because she married 0.58

01:01:49.160 her bro

01:01:49.580 so she's not

01:01:50.320 she's not going to

01:01:50.940 marry you

01:01:51.400 it's not going to 0.95

01:01:52.060 happen 1.00

01:01:52.320 speaking of garbage 0.98

01:01:53.880 we can say about 0.99

01:01:55.320 arguments that if you

01:01:56.200 put garbage in

01:01:57.000 you're going to

01:01:57.300 get garbage out 0.77

01:01:58.120 if you're going to 0.75

01:01:58.500 have garbage for 0.92

01:01:59.140 your premises 0.99

01:01:59.680 you're going to 0.98

01:02:00.440 have some garbage 0.98

01:02:01.180 conclusions 0.97

01:02:01.740 and his premises

01:02:02.980 are just totally off

01:02:04.040 he says that Somalis

01:02:05.280 are hard working

01:02:06.120 they're not

01:02:06.920 they're just not

01:02:07.600 I'm not saying

01:02:08.020 there isn't a Somali

01:02:08.880 who is a hard worker

01:02:09.700 but as a group

01:02:10.540 they're not hard working

01:02:11.460 he says that they

01:02:12.540 pay their taxes

01:02:13.340 they don't really

01:02:14.600 they're not net

01:02:15.420 contributors to the

01:02:16.900 government in any way

01:02:17.860 they're largely on

01:02:19.720 welfare

01:02:20.200 the vast majority

01:02:21.480 of them

01:02:21.900 in these American

01:02:23.060 enclaves

01:02:23.640 are in poverty

01:02:24.540 and they just

01:02:25.820 don't contribute

01:02:26.420 and now there's

01:02:27.040 been this massive

01:02:27.500 scandal where they

01:02:28.100 were actually

01:02:28.500 defrauding the

01:02:29.340 government

01:02:29.600 so no

01:02:30.440 none of that

01:02:30.900 is true 0.89

01:02:31.180 but then the

01:02:31.760 broader premise

01:02:32.480 on America

01:02:33.020 is also wrong

01:02:33.780 it says they've

01:02:34.480 come here

01:02:35.040 because they

01:02:35.700 believe that

01:02:36.240 America

01:02:36.660 is going to

01:02:37.400 live up to

01:02:37.860 the promise

01:02:38.440 that if you're

01:02:39.220 a hard worker

01:02:39.980 from anywhere

01:02:40.560 in the world

01:02:41.220 you can come

01:02:42.040 here

01:02:42.340 that's not

01:02:43.640 the promise

01:02:44.200 that's never

01:02:44.840 been the promise

01:02:45.500 I don't know

01:02:45.900 where you got

01:02:46.440 that idea

01:02:46.900 that America

01:02:47.360 said we don't

01:02:48.200 have borders

01:02:48.840 everyone from

01:02:49.740 around the world

01:02:50.260 should come

01:02:50.700 here

01:02:50.880 that isn't

01:02:51.760 true

01:02:52.180 the country

01:02:52.980 was founded

01:02:53.560 a long long

01:02:54.260 time ago

01:02:54.680 it was founded

01:02:55.380 by some people

01:02:56.060 on the Mayflower

01:02:56.700 which is a great

01:02:57.300 cigar company

01:02:57.880 by the way

01:02:58.320 and they came

01:02:59.040 here in 1620

01:03:00.300 they came to

01:03:00.900 Jamestown

01:03:01.400 actually a little

01:03:01.900 earlier than that

01:03:02.720 and they said

01:03:03.920 that some people

01:03:04.980 can come here

01:03:05.640 but you got to

01:03:06.360 believe certain

01:03:07.080 things

01:03:07.460 you got to

01:03:07.720 have certain

01:03:08.040 disciplines

01:03:08.540 you got to

01:03:09.320 you got to

01:03:09.860 kind of fit

01:03:10.300 in a little bit

01:03:10.960 and then

01:03:11.660 when we had

01:03:12.480 the American

01:03:12.880 revolution

01:03:13.240 they actually

01:03:13.740 said that

01:03:14.220 just to be

01:03:14.620 clear

01:03:14.840 they actually

01:03:15.680 said that

01:03:16.160 exact thing

01:03:16.580 they worried

01:03:17.060 about people

01:03:18.060 who would not

01:03:18.520 assimilate

01:03:18.980 being let in

01:03:19.580 they did not

01:03:19.980 want that

01:03:20.360 keep going

01:03:20.820 this is why

01:03:21.820 we had

01:03:22.260 basically no

01:03:23.200 Muslims in

01:03:23.720 America

01:03:24.060 until recent

01:03:24.940 decades

01:03:25.280 no knock

01:03:26.420 on Islam

01:03:26.880 even generally

01:03:28.180 it's just

01:03:28.620 not how the

01:03:29.480 country works

01:03:29.820 they don't want

01:03:30.180 us either

01:03:30.560 right

01:03:31.820 this is just

01:03:32.720 a fact

01:03:33.140 of history

01:03:33.560 the only

01:03:34.520 American

01:03:34.920 engagement

01:03:35.340 with Islam

01:03:36.040 before recent

01:03:37.680 decades

01:03:38.040 was really

01:03:38.560 in the

01:03:38.760 Barbary Wars

01:03:39.420 when we were

01:03:40.460 making war

01:03:40.940 on them

01:03:41.220 because the 0.91

01:03:41.500 Muslims

01:03:41.740 kept 0.91

01:03:42.000 imprisoning

01:03:43.000 and enslaving 0.80

01:03:43.740 our sailors

01:03:44.460 so fast forward

01:03:45.440 to the American

01:03:45.860 revolution

01:03:46.340 in the decades

01:03:47.240 after the

01:03:47.600 American

01:03:47.820 revolution

01:03:48.260 we severely

01:03:50.120 restricted

01:03:50.960 immigration

01:03:51.620 then you move

01:03:52.720 into the middle

01:03:53.160 of the 19th

01:03:53.800 century

01:03:54.100 we opened up

01:03:55.100 immigration

01:03:55.520 a little bit

01:03:56.300 but it was still

01:03:56.880 relatively restrictive

01:03:57.820 and assimilation

01:03:58.400 was difficult

01:03:58.980 now it is true

01:03:59.840 by the end

01:04:00.240 of the 19th

01:04:00.780 century

01:04:01.020 into the early

01:04:01.480 20th century

01:04:02.120 we loosened up

01:04:03.040 immigration

01:04:03.460 considerably

01:04:04.060 and it caused

01:04:05.160 a ton of

01:04:05.680 problems

01:04:06.160 so many problems

01:04:07.300 that in the

01:04:07.620 1920s

01:04:08.280 we greatly

01:04:09.260 restricted

01:04:09.840 immigration

01:04:10.340 again

01:04:10.780 and that was

01:04:11.480 the status quo

01:04:12.440 until the

01:04:13.300 1960s

01:04:14.000 when the

01:04:14.440 Democrats

01:04:14.760 opened the

01:04:15.180 floodgates

01:04:15.620 and in that

01:04:16.820 even more

01:04:17.980 recent years

01:04:18.540 than the

01:04:18.780 Democrats

01:04:19.100 opened up

01:04:19.800 illegal

01:04:20.180 immigration

01:04:20.620 and imported

01:04:21.140 millions

01:04:21.420 and millions

01:04:21.680 of people

01:04:22.040 so even

01:04:22.740 the claim

01:04:23.140 that America

01:04:23.560 is a nation

01:04:24.020 of immigrants

01:04:24.460 that's not

01:04:25.160 true

01:04:25.520 and you'll

01:04:26.300 notice that

01:04:26.720 whenever you

01:04:27.260 point ask

01:04:27.800 for evidence

01:04:28.280 on this

01:04:28.720 they don't

01:04:29.280 point to

01:04:29.520 the Constitution

01:04:30.100 they don't

01:04:30.780 point to

01:04:31.360 the Naturalization 0.82

01:04:32.060 Act

01:04:32.360 they don't

01:04:32.900 point to

01:04:33.180 any actual

01:04:33.920 parts of

01:04:34.320 American history

01:04:34.940 they point

01:04:35.580 to this 1.00

01:04:35.820 stupid poem 1.00

01:04:36.620 on the base 1.00

01:04:37.260 of the Statue

01:04:37.820 of Liberty

01:04:38.260 written by a

01:04:39.140 socialist

01:04:39.500 that says

01:04:40.400 give us

01:04:40.740 your poor

01:04:41.060 huddled masses

01:04:41.680 that does not

01:04:42.680 have the weight

01:04:43.200 of federal law

01:04:44.000 first of all 1.00

01:04:44.580 like dumb 1.00

01:04:45.140 socialist poems 0.99

01:04:45.980 are not the

01:04:46.780 Constitution

01:04:47.300 and two

01:04:48.400 that doesn't

01:04:49.240 even actually

01:04:49.900 describe the

01:04:50.440 American tradition

01:04:51.100 on immigration

01:04:51.620 we've been by

01:04:52.880 far the most

01:04:53.380 generous nation

01:04:54.100 in the history

01:04:55.100 of the world

01:04:55.500 when it comes

01:04:55.960 to immigration

01:04:56.500 but there are

01:04:57.820 limits and I

01:04:58.660 think history

01:04:59.260 and the American

01:04:59.820 tradition should

01:05:00.740 be able to

01:05:01.120 weigh in on it

01:05:01.780 more than the

01:05:02.440 bloviations of 0.99

01:05:03.420 Terry or whoever

01:05:04.080 that guy was

01:05:04.700 I think less

01:05:06.620 about the poem

01:05:07.720 by the socialist

01:05:08.500 and more about

01:05:09.900 that brilliant

01:05:10.440 sage Homer

01:05:12.320 Simpson who

01:05:13.600 in one of the

01:05:14.000 episodes held

01:05:14.660 up a sign

01:05:15.320 Norma Ray

01:05:16.100 style that

01:05:16.700 read go

01:05:17.620 home the

01:05:18.260 country's full

01:05:19.140 that's really

01:05:20.160 where we are

01:05:20.800 today as

01:05:21.780 as all

01:05:22.420 matters Homer

01:05:23.220 Simpson has

01:05:23.800 solved it

01:05:24.400 Terry Moran

01:05:26.260 is the soul

01:05:27.020 of wit as

01:05:27.500 the bard

01:05:27.920 tells us

01:05:28.420 that's right

01:05:29.260 so he thinks

01:05:29.820 that Trump

01:05:30.240 is hateful 0.97

01:05:30.860 I mean he

01:05:31.480 just got booted

01:05:32.200 from ABC

01:05:33.080 for pretending

01:05:34.620 to be objective

01:05:35.260 when he's not

01:05:35.900 there was it

01:05:36.480 was shortly

01:05:36.800 after he posted

01:05:37.440 this tweet

01:05:38.060 about Stephen

01:05:39.120 Miller in

01:05:39.620 June the

01:05:41.180 thing about

01:05:41.500 Stephen Miller

01:05:41.900 is not that

01:05:42.300 he's the brains

01:05:42.860 behind Trumpism

01:05:43.600 though he is

01:05:45.080 but that's not

01:05:45.960 what's interesting

01:05:46.440 about him

01:05:46.800 it's not his 0.71

01:05:47.180 brains 0.99

01:05:47.420 it's bile

01:05:48.340 he's a man

01:05:49.120 who's richly

01:05:49.740 endowed with

01:05:50.360 the capacity

01:05:50.860 for hatred

01:05:51.600 a world-class

01:05:52.880 hater

01:05:53.260 you can see

01:05:54.180 this just by

01:05:54.620 looking at him

01:05:55.180 because you can

01:05:55.560 see that his

01:05:56.040 hatreds are his

01:05:56.800 spiritual nourishment

01:05:57.920 he eats his

01:05:58.960 hate

01:05:59.200 this is an

01:05:59.800 objective news

01:06:00.520 reporter

01:06:00.880 allegedly

01:06:01.720 Trump is a

01:06:02.880 world-class 0.90

01:06:03.580 hater

01:06:03.900 but his

01:06:04.640 hatred only means

01:06:05.500 is only a

01:06:06.360 means to an

01:06:06.860 end

01:06:07.160 and that end

01:06:08.060 is his own

01:06:08.640 glorification

01:06:09.320 that is his

01:06:10.600 spiritual

01:06:11.400 nourishment

01:06:12.120 so no surprise

01:06:13.600 he's at it again

01:06:14.520 trying to rip on 0.99

01:06:15.640 these people

01:06:15.960 now you made

01:06:16.420 some interesting

01:06:17.120 points about

01:06:17.700 immigration and

01:06:18.480 what the founders

01:06:19.040 envisioned

01:06:19.500 it's gone a

01:06:20.820 different way

01:06:21.420 which is not

01:06:21.960 only being

01:06:22.360 acknowledged by

01:06:23.420 people like

01:06:23.900 you and me

01:06:24.900 two MKs

01:06:26.120 but by

01:06:27.200 Wajahat Ali

01:06:28.860 who our

01:06:30.420 audience may

01:06:31.220 remember

01:06:31.640 as being one

01:06:33.120 of the three

01:06:33.640 on that

01:06:34.360 infamous

01:06:35.060 Don Lemon

01:06:36.840 clip

01:06:37.280 with Rick

01:06:38.740 Wilson of

01:06:39.260 the Lincoln

01:06:39.560 Project

01:06:39.980 and Don

01:06:40.620 where they

01:06:41.260 were mocking

01:06:41.800 Trump voters

01:06:42.560 like yeah

01:06:43.600 them smart

01:06:44.720 people with

01:06:45.460 their maps

01:06:46.840 and like

01:06:48.000 their history

01:06:48.740 that's their

01:06:49.800 version of

01:06:50.920 what Republicans

01:06:51.500 and MAGA

01:06:51.980 sounds like

01:06:52.600 completely

01:06:53.460 sneering

01:06:54.380 elitist 1.00

01:06:55.520 assholes 1.00

01:06:56.580 he has a 1.00

01:06:58.080 different thought

01:06:58.920 on immigration

01:06:59.540 and here's how

01:07:00.940 it goes

01:07:01.340 Saten

01:07:01.900 you have

01:07:04.340 lost

01:07:04.780 you lost

01:07:05.500 the mistake

01:07:06.660 that you made

01:07:07.080 is you let

01:07:07.960 us in in the

01:07:08.280 first place

01:07:08.700 there's a bunch

01:07:09.740 of us

01:07:10.040 and we breed

01:07:11.340 we're a breeding

01:07:12.400 people

01:07:12.800 and the problem

01:07:13.700 is is you let

01:07:14.600 us in in 1965

01:07:15.420 there was a few

01:07:16.120 there were a few

01:07:16.460 of us beforehand

01:07:16.920 but once you let

01:07:17.480 one of us in

01:07:17.920 you know what

01:07:19.260 happens with brown

01:07:19.720 folks

01:07:19.960 our grandmother

01:07:21.300 comes our

01:07:21.920 grandfather

01:07:22.180 comes our

01:07:22.760 uncle comes

01:07:23.240 our aunt

01:07:23.760 comes our

01:07:24.260 cousin comes

01:07:24.720 our second

01:07:25.100 cousin comes

01:07:25.560 our third

01:07:25.900 cousin comes

01:07:26.440 then we have

01:07:27.140 kids a bunch

01:07:27.720 of kids

01:07:28.040 and then guess

01:07:28.760 what we know

01:07:29.440 some white

01:07:29.700 women you know

01:07:30.380 the western

01:07:30.800 civilization women 1.00

01:07:31.460 the pure

01:07:31.820 women the 1.00

01:07:32.160 american women

01:07:32.700 the rust belt

01:07:33.660 women the real 1.00

01:07:34.120 women they like

01:07:35.160 some of us brown

01:07:35.600 folks we don't

01:07:36.380 take them they

01:07:37.240 come to us so

01:07:38.140 we're embedded we

01:07:39.140 are everywhere i

01:07:40.160 want you to

01:07:40.520 realize this you

01:07:41.520 have lost your 0.98

01:07:42.880 story is a shitty 0.98

01:07:43.800 story filled with 1.00

01:07:44.600 misery it's it's

01:07:46.020 it's filled with

01:07:46.640 bland chicken it's

01:07:47.840 filled with terrible 1.00

01:07:48.560 terrible dry ass 1.00

01:07:49.480 meat your music 1.00

01:07:50.900 sucks all your 1.00

01:07:52.380 culture sucks 1.00

01:07:53.480 nobody that's why 0.99

01:07:54.980 the kids like 0.98

01:07:55.680 listen to black 0.77

01:07:56.140 people and their 0.95

01:07:56.520 music that's why

01:07:57.020 the kids love

01:07:57.520 latinos your 1.00

01:07:58.800 parties suck because 1.00

01:07:59.780 they're monochromatic 1.00

01:08:01.040 our parties have

01:08:02.000 better food better

01:08:02.740 music better

01:08:03.260 looking women 1.00

01:08:03.660 then get out and

01:08:06.040 go back to

01:08:06.600 pakistan since you

01:08:07.960 seem to love it so

01:08:08.880 much no one will

01:08:10.780 miss you this is the

01:08:12.460 son of two pakistani

01:08:13.660 muslim immigrants he

01:08:15.560 was born and raised in

01:08:16.640 the san francisco bay

01:08:17.600 area he studied at

01:08:19.560 university of

01:08:20.060 california berkeley he

01:08:22.000 got a law degree from

01:08:23.260 the university of

01:08:23.920 california davis he's

01:08:25.700 written for the new

01:08:26.320 york times the

01:08:26.860 washington post the

01:08:27.520 atlantic cnn as an

01:08:28.900 opinion contributor and

01:08:30.340 that's his thanks to

01:08:31.780 this country that has

01:08:32.520 given him so much

01:08:33.480 given him this world

01:08:34.620 class education put put

01:08:36.060 him on tv obviously

01:08:37.420 he's a man of means is

01:08:38.960 to tell us we 1.00

01:08:39.920 americans actually suck 1.00

01:08:41.820 our country sucks our 1.00

01:08:43.180 culture sucks we can't 1.00

01:08:44.880 cook we we he wants 1.00

01:08:47.100 to take our women the 0.96

01:08:49.060 white women is that 1.00

01:08:49.780 what he means uh and 0.66

01:08:51.140 make them what like

01:08:52.180 they want to use the 0.97

01:08:53.420 white women to make 1.00

01:08:54.000 more little pakistanis 0.98

01:08:55.220 okay great see how

01:08:56.860 that works out for

01:08:57.480 you watch a hot and

01:08:59.240 by the way his

01:08:59.760 parents are a couple

01:09:01.600 of hot messes uh i 0.97

01:09:03.000 had it in front of

01:09:03.540 me the other day but

01:09:04.260 they they're they're

01:09:06.120 ex-cons i'm gonna get

01:09:07.700 my facts but they're

01:09:08.880 ex-cons and they're

01:09:10.560 deeply troubled hold

01:09:11.680 on here it is this is

01:09:13.720 what he comes from this

01:09:15.560 this guy who wants to

01:09:16.720 judge the rest of us as

01:09:17.920 like a cultureless and

01:09:19.780 problematic um stand

01:09:22.400 by i'll get it soon

01:09:23.480 after 9-11 his parents

01:09:24.680 who sold academic

01:09:25.640 software were arrested

01:09:27.140 and imprisoned for

01:09:28.540 mail fraud wire fraud

01:09:29.580 and other counts as

01:09:30.900 part of a large

01:09:31.520 microsoft anti-piracy

01:09:32.720 criminal indictment

01:09:33.500 they spent nearly five

01:09:34.860 years in prison what

01:09:36.380 does he say about it

01:09:37.160 now he says it's they

01:09:38.680 were targeted for being

01:09:39.660 brown michael knowles

01:09:41.200 they went they had a

01:09:42.520 trial they went to

01:09:44.380 prison for five years

01:09:45.600 and he wants to say

01:09:47.040 it's down to skin color

01:09:48.100 and you know what that

01:09:49.000 gets you a job at the

01:09:50.140 times and an opinion

01:09:51.780 writing gig at cnn

01:09:54.160 i find the clip

01:09:56.100 delightful for this

01:09:57.120 reason megan actually

01:09:58.060 because you know the

01:09:58.720 words they got clipped

01:09:59.740 out obviously it's a

01:10:00.360 much much longer clip so

01:10:01.320 you only heard the

01:10:01.800 highlights but he says

01:10:02.840 there he says white

01:10:03.860 people you lost and we

01:10:06.160 brown people won that 0.97

01:10:08.240 that's always the

01:10:08.940 framing here that's why

01:10:09.540 he's talking about the

01:10:10.000 white women and the 1.00

01:10:10.720 brown people he says 0.57

01:10:11.480 he says we pakistanis

01:10:13.360 were a breeding people

01:10:14.540 which if we were to be

01:10:15.560 specific we would

01:10:16.240 probably have to say

01:10:17.060 inbreeding people because

01:10:18.240 of the extraordinarily high

01:10:19.560 rates of cousin marriage

01:10:20.400 though maybe that's a

01:10:21.300 conversation for another

01:10:22.080 time and it's a thing

01:10:23.160 yeah he sure he make he

01:10:24.920 makes the point though

01:10:25.740 he says look i i wad

01:10:28.000 jihad ali view politics

01:10:29.260 as a battle between the

01:10:31.020 white people and the

01:10:31.640 brown people and we

01:10:32.960 brown people are going 1.00

01:10:33.760 to win we're going to 0.97

01:10:34.320 beat you and by the way 1.00

01:10:35.380 your country sucks and 1.00

01:10:36.220 everything about your 1.00

01:10:36.840 culture sucks it's kind 1.00

01:10:38.280 of funny because that 0.99

01:10:38.940 last bit raises the

01:10:40.160 question you say well

01:10:41.340 can't help but notice

01:10:42.740 you keep coming here

01:10:44.060 you know there's there's

01:10:45.560 no uh crisis of mass

01:10:47.140 migration to pakistan

01:10:48.480 i it all seems to be

01:10:50.080 maybe it's our forks

01:10:51.420 is that is that where

01:10:52.680 you're perhaps you're

01:10:53.860 really loving our

01:10:54.520 utensil use i get it

01:10:56.740 our working toilets i

01:10:58.440 understand that would

01:10:59.440 lure me out of a country

01:11:00.300 too but what i love

01:11:02.120 what i love most about

01:11:03.380 the clip megan is the

01:11:04.360 fact that you mentioned

01:11:05.320 earlier this guy he was

01:11:07.080 born here he was born in

01:11:08.060 california and he is in

01:11:09.860 many ways the perfectly

01:11:11.880 assimilated lib he

01:11:13.940 graduates from berkeley he 1.00

01:11:16.060 writes for these stupid 1.00

01:11:17.080 left-wing publications and 1.00

01:11:18.440 bloviates he dresses 1.00

01:11:19.640 sloppily he yeah he

01:11:21.320 looked he is the lib

01:11:22.220 par excellence okay and

01:11:24.480 yet when you push him he

01:11:27.200 has this tribal racial

01:11:29.940 tribal hatred for the

01:11:32.480 native population of the

01:11:33.840 country to which his

01:11:35.160 parents fled and i think

01:11:36.660 that that should arrest all

01:11:37.740 of us for a moment because

01:11:38.960 what it means is that

01:11:40.260 actually we should give

01:11:41.540 the libs a little bit of

01:11:42.280 credit here in the way

01:11:42.860 they talk about

01:11:43.300 immigration it means that

01:11:45.200 heritage is an important

01:11:47.340 aspect of identity i think

01:11:48.960 that's true you know my

01:11:49.900 great-grandparents great-

01:11:51.140 great-grandparents came

01:11:52.100 from italy and that does

01:11:53.800 affect me a little bit i do

01:11:54.960 feel a little bit italian

01:11:56.040 don't i my great-great-

01:11:57.040 great-great-great-great-

01:11:57.640 great-grandparents came on

01:11:58.460 the mayflower and named all

01:11:59.280 cigar company after it that

01:12:00.540 does affect me in some way 0.74

01:12:01.980 it when when black people 0.99

01:12:03.320 sometimes say that they

01:12:04.660 have difficulties with

01:12:05.620 america because their 0.97

01:12:06.340 ancestors were brought in

01:12:07.320 chains in a way i i kind of

01:12:10.020 sympathize with that it's not

01:12:11.520 an excuse for living a bad

01:12:12.640 life today but i kind of

01:12:14.060 sympathize and and what

01:12:15.140 wajahad ali is saying is

01:12:16.500 you you can be the most

01:12:18.000 assimilated lib in the world

01:12:19.460 but you know when push

01:12:21.040 comes to shove at least at

01:12:22.120 least on the left these

01:12:23.580 tribal anxieties are gonna

01:12:25.240 are gonna reassert

01:12:26.280 themselves and that means

01:12:27.700 that the the old view of

01:12:28.800 immigration is vindicated 1.00

01:12:31.040 which is that yeah identity

01:12:32.780 is really complex and when

01:12:34.280 you do take immigrants in 0.99

01:12:35.640 you got to be really cautious

01:12:37.260 about it and you have to

01:12:38.560 have in the best of

01:12:39.700 circumstances all of the

01:12:41.760 the tools in place for

01:12:43.540 people to assimilate i

01:12:44.720 think it's possible to

01:12:45.540 assimilate i don't think

01:12:46.360 assimilation is necessarily 1.00

01:12:47.420 always harmful you know

01:12:48.660 ruth assimilates she she

01:12:50.380 goes from being a moabite 0.97

01:12:51.720 to an israelite and she's

01:12:52.720 in the genealogy of christ

01:12:53.860 so i think it can happen

01:12:55.340 but you have to do it in a

01:12:57.100 really careful cautious way

01:12:58.900 and when the people like

01:12:59.800 wajahad ali come at and

01:13:01.240 tell you exactly what what

01:13:02.420 they believe and exactly who

01:13:03.540 they are we should listen

01:13:04.680 to them we say you know

01:13:05.320 what wajahad you're totally

01:13:06.480 right about immigration i

01:13:07.960 guess it's time for us to

01:13:08.840 stop it yeah you know

01:13:11.000 think of how racist it is

01:13:12.780 too michael right to say

01:13:13.820 that stuff about like we

01:13:15.760 we brown men we're gonna 0.99

01:13:16.920 marry your white women 1.00

01:13:17.920 like we're gonna marry 1.00

01:13:18.900 them we're gonna breed 0.60

01:13:19.680 like can you imagine if

01:13:21.500 somebody like me were to

01:13:22.320 say you know what wajahad

01:13:23.280 we white women would never 0.97

01:13:24.480 marry a man like you ever 0.99

01:13:25.800 we're not gonna marry the 1.00

01:13:27.040 brown men from pakistan 1.00

01:13:28.160 we're only gonna reproduce 0.98

01:13:29.360 with white americans 0.68

01:13:30.800 native born that's it

01:13:32.660 because we don't want to

01:13:33.640 make mixed babies can you 0.99

01:13:35.740 imagine what he would do

01:13:37.260 with that what the left

01:13:38.420 would do with that it

01:13:39.380 would be obviously racist

01:13:40.660 everyone would be able to

01:13:42.200 hear how racist it was

01:13:43.280 this guy will get a total 1.00

01:13:44.880 pass on the bullshit he 1.00

01:13:46.660 just said they they don't 1.00

01:13:48.040 care like we are 0.96

01:13:49.020 threatening you white 0.99

01:13:50.780 women by saying we're 1.00

01:13:52.500 gonna take you or

01:13:53.780 threatening white men by 0.92

01:13:54.820 saying we're gonna take 0.99

01:13:55.560 your women we're gonna 1.00

01:13:56.760 reproduce with them we're 0.98

01:13:57.580 gonna make brown babies 1.00

01:13:58.660 that are gonna be 0.96

01:13:59.040 threatening all of you

01:13:59.980 basically saying that you

01:14:01.980 you're afraid of us you

01:14:03.420 don't like browns you're 1.00

01:14:04.960 racist all of you and 1.00

01:14:06.760 we're going to make you 1.00

01:14:08.140 suffer by by infusing 1.00

01:14:10.920 your white women with 1.00

01:14:12.040 brown semen and create 1.00

01:14:13.660 brown babies it's so 1.00

01:14:14.880 fucked up what he's 1.00

01:14:15.940 saying um he won't be 0.99

01:14:17.900 called out by it because

01:14:19.120 everybody's too afraid of

01:14:20.360 people like wajah ali

01:14:21.480 because he's a lot a 0.97

01:14:22.660 nutcase a loon and i'll 0.96

01:14:24.640 just show you one that

01:14:26.100 clip i referenced just to

01:14:27.460 prove my point and yours

01:14:29.360 about the elitism because

01:14:30.780 this same guy who's saying

01:14:31.880 things as vile as that has

01:14:33.980 been scoffing at mocking

01:14:35.780 at sneering at maga for

01:14:38.280 years along with his pal

01:14:39.980 don lemon watch

01:14:41.020 donald trump couldn't find

01:14:44.360 ukraine on a map if you

01:14:45.220 had the letter u and a

01:14:46.420 picture of an actual

01:14:47.280 physical crane next to it

01:14:49.180 he knows that this is you

01:14:50.780 know an administration 0.92

01:14:52.180 defined by ignorance of

01:14:53.800 the world and so that's

01:14:55.940 partly him playing to their

01:14:57.520 base and playing to their

01:14:58.660 audience uh you know the

01:15:00.300 the the credulous boomer 0.74

01:15:01.820 rube demo that backs

01:15:03.020 donald trump um that

01:15:05.000 that wants to think that

01:15:06.040 that that donald trump's a

01:15:07.580 smart one in there oh

01:15:08.500 y'all y'all elitist are 1.00

01:15:09.820 dumb you will you elitist 1.00

01:15:12.620 with your geography and 1.00

01:15:13.680 your maps and your

01:15:14.960 spellings even though my

01:15:16.800 math and you're reading

01:15:17.860 yeah you're reading you

01:15:19.720 know your geography knowing

01:15:22.020 other countries sipping

01:15:23.620 your latte all those lines

01:15:26.080 on the map

01:15:26.740 only them elitist know

01:15:30.340 where ukraine is

01:15:31.500 go ahead michael they can't

01:15:35.740 even you know i see the

01:15:36.940 bit that they're doing and

01:15:37.980 some of it's kind of funny

01:15:38.880 but it is it's also funny

01:15:39.940 too they they can't build

01:15:41.480 on it the only line they

01:15:42.480 have really is just a joke

01:15:43.720 about geography and you

01:15:44.740 say hold on if you were

01:15:45.360 really the elites you'd bring

01:15:46.320 in all these other things

01:15:47.200 from literature and

01:15:48.160 philosophy and so they they

01:15:49.520 fail on their own terms but

01:15:51.160 all they really have is

01:15:52.280 resentment all they have is

01:15:54.120 contempt for their fellow

01:15:55.580 americans and i we've seen

01:15:57.580 that for a very very long

01:15:59.080 time the irony of of

01:16:01.340 wajahat's commentary in

01:16:02.880 particular is we have been

01:16:04.640 told that one of the most

01:16:05.980 dangerous racist evil false

01:16:08.660 conspiracy theories around

01:16:10.580 is the great replacement

01:16:12.280 conspiracy theory go look on

01:16:14.440 wikipedia go look anywhere

01:16:16.060 that's so true and they say

01:16:17.860 and what is the great

01:16:18.880 replacement conspiracy theory

01:16:20.020 it's that political elites are

01:16:22.240 importing people en masse

01:16:24.040 from around the world in

01:16:25.400 order to displace the native 1.00

01:16:27.100 population of america and

01:16:28.340 change the demographics and

01:16:29.940 wajahat ali comes out and

01:16:32.160 the entirety of his

01:16:33.840 commentary there is ha ha ha

01:16:36.140 we did the great

01:16:37.200 replacement ha ha the great

01:16:38.840 replacement is real ha ha ha

01:16:40.660 you lost the great

01:16:41.680 replacement that's it there's

01:16:43.040 no but he gets away with it

01:16:44.740 because he's celebrating it

01:16:45.820 so when you celebrate it it's

01:16:47.400 not it's no longer false it's

01:16:48.860 no longer racist it's good it's

01:16:50.180 true it's wonderful it's only

01:16:52.120 when you would object to it in

01:16:53.340 any way that it suddenly

01:16:54.720 switches and it becomes false

01:16:56.960 uh so you know i i saw on

01:16:59.500 msnbc the other day msnow now

01:17:01.960 that that awful woman nicole 1.00

01:17:03.560 wallace she was interviewing 0.66

01:17:04.820 someone and and uh this woman 1.00

01:17:07.240 accused trump of engaging in

01:17:09.680 ethnic cleansing with mass

01:17:11.800 deportations by deporting illegal

01:17:13.440 aliens who have no right to be 1.00

01:17:14.440 here she said that constituted 0.96

01:17:16.240 ethnic cleansing and this of

01:17:18.320 course raises a question for the

01:17:20.280 viewers which is well hold on if

01:17:22.120 it's ethnic cleansing to radically 0.84

01:17:24.060 change the demographics of a

01:17:25.640 country by taking people out

01:17:27.760 what do you call it when you

01:17:29.560 radically change the

01:17:30.380 demographics of a country by

01:17:31.720 bringing people in and it's

01:17:33.340 that it's the exact same issue

01:17:34.700 with watch out it's the same

01:17:35.800 irony of the the celebration

01:17:37.420 parallax of the great

01:17:38.740 replacement theory it seems like

01:17:40.520 they're just telling us who they

01:17:42.560 are what they believe and that

01:17:43.920 all the things they've been

01:17:44.700 calling terrible and racist and

01:17:46.220 dangerous and conspiracy theories

01:17:47.440 are actually true and they're

01:17:48.740 happy about them yeah totally

01:17:51.340 agree so back to ilan omar who

01:17:53.900 trump did rip on in his remarks

01:17:55.400 actually i didn't play that piece

01:17:56.620 of it but i'll i'll play it now

01:17:57.840 it's not thought it's not five

01:17:58.900 these somalians have taken 0.98

01:18:03.760 billions of dollars out of our

01:18:05.280 country they've taken billions and

01:18:07.440 billions of dollars they have a

01:18:09.380 representative ilhan omar who

01:18:12.180 they say married her brother it's a

01:18:16.440 fraud she tries to deny it now but

01:18:19.120 you can't really deny it because

01:18:20.480 you know it just happened and she

01:18:22.660 shouldn't be allowed to be a 0.94

01:18:23.680 congresswoman and i'm sure people

01:18:25.240 are looking at that and she should 0.97

01:18:27.340 be thrown the hell out of our 1.00

01:18:28.340 country the somalians should be 1.00

01:18:30.300 out of here they've destroyed our 0.98

01:18:32.600 country and all they do is complain

01:18:35.040 complain complain you have her she's 1.00

01:18:38.080 always talking about the

01:18:38.880 constitution provides me with uh go

01:18:44.220 back to your own country and figure 0.94

01:18:45.580 out your constitution all she does 0.99

01:18:47.880 is complain about this country so

01:18:49.940 somalia is considered by many to be

01:18:53.080 the worst country on earth i don't

01:18:55.460 know i've never i haven't been there

01:18:57.220 i won't be there anytime soon i hope

01:18:59.660 i love him i love him i mean where is

01:19:06.540 he wrong we're like it truly where is

01:19:08.760 he wrong she did marry her brother by 0.98

01:19:10.600 the way it hasn't been confirmed but

01:19:12.620 there's been reporting that they went

01:19:14.980 in depth on this and could not

01:19:17.200 disprove it that if memory serves was

01:19:19.720 the minneapolis star tribune which is

01:19:22.040 a far left newspaper which would have

01:19:24.060 had every incentive to disprove it if

01:19:26.680 they could they could not disprove it

01:19:28.160 if you wanted to disprove that i

01:19:29.960 married my brother it would be very

01:19:31.560 easy to take you about 30 seconds the

01:19:33.700 fact that they couldn't disprove it is

01:19:35.340 deeply problematic she did it not to

01:19:37.820 get herself in the country who she was

01:19:38.980 brought when she was younger but to

01:19:40.060 get him into the country um she's out

01:19:43.140 there just for a little bit more color

01:19:44.260 on it michael of course the reason

01:19:46.160 we're talking about somalia is because

01:19:47.420 these somalis who are now living in

01:19:49.060 minneapolis who've taken over that

01:19:50.340 city have committed all that fraud that

01:19:52.240 i mentioned in my sheet like 78 of the

01:19:54.440 86 people arrested for scamming the

01:19:56.640 government out of over a billion dollars

01:19:58.160 in welfare checks are somalis they're

01:20:00.460 sending these checks back home including

01:20:02.320 to al-shabab the terrorist group according

01:20:04.300 to city journal and now trump's trying

01:20:07.200 to get rid of them anybody who's not a 1.00

01:20:09.960 natural born citizen doing this um and

01:20:12.540 and here's ilan omar giving an interview

01:20:14.820 to jake tapper i think it was listen to

01:20:17.580 what she has to say about that scam by her

01:20:21.400 fellow somalis wash

01:20:22.480 to 73 is what i'm here okay can you shed

01:20:27.460 any light on why uh the fraud got so out

01:20:30.780 control in minnesota um i think what

01:20:35.160 happened um is that you know when when

01:20:38.440 you have these kind of new programs that

01:20:40.740 are um designed to uh help people you're

01:20:44.940 oftentimes relying on third parties to be

01:20:47.640 able to facilitate and i just think that

01:20:50.240 a lot of the covet um programs that were

01:20:53.000 set up uh they were set up so quickly that

01:20:55.580 a lot of the guardrails did not get

01:20:57.200 created it was the guardrails in the same

01:21:02.880 way if you drive your porsche 150 miles

01:21:05.540 an hour down the highway and you go off

01:21:07.500 an embankment it's the fault of the

01:21:09.820 guardrails for not being able to stop

01:21:12.240 you it's not your fault you know i think

01:21:15.640 covidator homework i think this is so it

01:21:18.440 shows you that there is no defense for

01:21:20.620 this whatsoever that that ilhan omar

01:21:23.180 oh no it was this there were these

01:21:24.980 programs and you know it was a really

01:21:27.280 unfortunate i mean it was you know it

01:21:29.680 rained that day and also i forget the

01:21:33.020 power went out and so it was all a big

01:21:35.500 miss hold on you're telling me systemic

01:21:37.820 community-wide fraud to the the tune of

01:21:42.300 an insane amount of money from the

01:21:44.440 taxpayers going to fund in part terrorists

01:21:47.100 overseas that was all just like a big

01:21:49.200 mistake it was all just a big

01:21:50.480 misunderstanding no guardrails it was

01:21:53.080 if only we had the guardrails it this is

01:21:55.360 what what trump was talking about what

01:21:56.540 makes trump's commentary resonate so

01:21:59.240 well other than the fact that it's

01:22:00.760 hilarious and true is is when he focuses

01:22:03.880 on the ingratitude because the ingratitude

01:22:07.780 to me is the cherry on top of this awful

01:22:11.220 migration sunday you know this is what

01:22:13.260 really pushes the issue over the edge

01:22:15.000 for people even if the somalis were

01:22:17.880 wonderfully grateful and happy for all

01:22:20.040 all the things that we've offered them or

01:22:21.700 the afghans or i don't know all the

01:22:23.220 people that we've led into our country

01:22:24.560 even if that were the case there would

01:22:26.600 still be massive massive problems with

01:22:28.520 all of the migration that we've had to

01:22:29.800 deal with the largest movement of people

01:22:31.660 ever in recorded history into this

01:22:33.240 country in 70 70 years however the fact

01:22:37.120 that they come in and we give them

01:22:38.780 everything and we tolerate them and we

01:22:40.540 tolerate in certain places the increase

01:22:42.480 in crime and then we tolerate all of the

01:22:44.460 chain migration that goes along with it

01:22:45.860 the wajahad ali cop too and we tolerate

01:22:48.260 the breakdown in social solidarity and we

01:22:50.480 we tolerate all of it and then on top of

01:22:52.720 that they're ungrateful and they defraud

01:22:55.080 us and they whine about how evil a

01:22:57.340 country it is and we they whine about

01:22:58.780 how we owe them more and they whine about

01:23:00.760 how our country was rotten from the

01:23:02.060 beginning it's just that's what pushes

01:23:03.760 people over you say look we've been so

01:23:05.960 freaking generous to you we have harmed

01:23:07.960 ourselves to be generous to you and then

01:23:10.560 you spit in our faces in such in such a

01:23:13.440 particularly offensive way uh we've had

01:23:16.720 enough no thanks we're done i i know i

01:23:19.520 and i don't want to go there you guys

01:23:20.760 can go back to somalia i don't want to

01:23:22.260 go there i hope i'm never going there

01:23:23.540 anytime soon to quote donald trump that's

01:23:25.480 it it's just enough you know what needed

01:23:28.080 happened in that clip same thing that

01:23:29.620 adam carolla did to gavin newsom in that

01:23:32.460 very famous exchange they had years ago

01:23:34.960 where he just rolled him over his claims

01:23:38.280 about homelessness in the city and try to

01:23:41.420 blame like racial disparity and adam just

01:23:44.100 kept saying what do you mean why why and

01:23:47.120 he's like well they have they use check 0.98

01:23:48.480 cashing places just the black people do 1.00

01:23:50.540 why why he just kept trying to challenge 0.77

01:23:52.500 these assertions of gavin newsom's and

01:23:54.840 gavin was wiggling it was so wonderful

01:23:57.480 adam's great at it and um jake tapper

01:24:00.860 needed to ask her it's the guardrails

01:24:03.060 why did the guardrails not invite the

01:24:06.080 americans to commit the fraud what was it 0.87

01:24:08.660 about the american neighbors to the somalis

01:24:11.840 in minneapolis that made them not take

01:24:14.620 advantage of the low guardrails how is it

01:24:17.560 the guardrails fault what is it about this

01:24:20.540 particular community that saw the guardrails

01:24:23.220 and made a different decision than their

01:24:25.780 neighbors who were american-born can you 1.00

01:24:28.760 imagine where have the fucking balls to 1.00

01:24:32.280 ask that do that that's how you make news 1.00

01:24:37.300 that's how you call out hypocrisy lies 0.99

01:24:41.420 bullshit nonsense it was the dog the 1.00

01:24:45.200 covid that ate my homework excuses it 1.00

01:24:48.020 would have been so so so gratifying to

01:24:51.500 watch of course it's megan you know there

01:24:53.900 was this awful uh story there's a million

01:24:56.060 of these awful stories but a story about

01:24:57.800 uh a so-called refugee and a somali 0.93

01:25:01.760 refugee who uh raped a teenage girl and so 0.99

01:25:05.880 he was being booked on this and the local 0.96

01:25:08.340 islamic center wrote a letter in his

01:25:10.340 defense and said no he's great we really

01:25:12.440 like him he's a good family man not a lot

01:25:14.560 of good family men i know rape teenage 0.51

01:25:15.980 girls but said no he's really great and the 0.95

01:25:18.180 key to it was they said and he's he's just

01:25:20.940 having trouble assimilating to this new

01:25:23.540 culture adapting to the new culture and if

01:25:26.640 if your culture is such that not raping

01:25:30.820 teenage girls poses a problem of 1.00

01:25:33.940 assimilation get out and i guess we just

01:25:36.580 yeah we just can't take that culture in

01:25:38.680 people who were brought up in that culture

01:25:40.200 you're out sorry sorry we're we're full

01:25:43.420 yeah homer simpson um on the subject of

01:25:47.600 attacks on young girls women on this show 0.96

01:25:52.000 yesterday we featured um amelia lewis the

01:25:55.300 nyu student who was attacked on monday by

01:25:58.140 that homeless guy was she was heading to

01:26:00.740 class 9 30 in the morning in manhattan at

01:26:03.560 nyu and her pal who's a family friend of

01:26:07.200 ours summer armstrong went to the local

01:26:10.080 liquor store in front of which it happened

01:26:13.140 and asked them if they had tape and god

01:26:14.680 bless those guys excuse me they checked

01:26:17.960 and they did they put it online i tweeted

01:26:20.740 on x yada yada they caught the guy serial

01:26:24.100 sex offender had just gotten out of two

01:26:26.260 years in jail for sexual assault this could

01:26:30.460 have been far worse now it emerges today

01:26:32.360 he had been living squatting in nyu housing

01:26:37.740 look at this report from abc 7 in new york

01:26:41.160 top 23 students reacting and what about

01:26:44.600 news from police that the man was a

01:26:47.200 squatter in nyu housing oh my god i did not

01:26:50.840 know that and had apparently according to

01:26:52.740 police broken into four other

01:26:54.800 apartments to take things to live in the

01:26:58.200 other apartment where he was squatting

01:26:59.680 that is crazy i did not know that um i

01:27:02.880 literally dorm right on that street and i

01:27:04.780 walked that street every single day and

01:27:06.420 now to find out that he was living as a

01:27:08.120 squatter

01:27:08.480 apparently according to police in nyu

01:27:11.680 housing

01:27:12.340 yeah i mean that's just extremely shocking

01:27:14.320 extremely shocking is right now we also

01:27:18.560 find out

01:27:19.260 he has a history of mental illness failed

01:27:21.320 to report to his parole officer

01:27:22.860 had multiple arrests more than 16

01:27:25.380 he committed four burglaries in the same

01:27:28.880 building

01:27:29.260 all from around 1 a.m tuesday cops said

01:27:32.920 she was attacked on monday

01:27:35.000 the theft victims included a 20 year old

01:27:37.900 man

01:27:38.160 who woke up to find that his suitcase and

01:27:40.040 backpack were missing another man 29 had

01:27:41.780 his backpack three laptops and headphones

01:27:43.720 stolen a 58 year old woman

01:27:45.040 had three grand items taken a fourth

01:27:47.480 victim a 58 year old man reported

01:27:49.040 having his

01:27:49.580 yoga mat in a water container stolen

01:27:51.920 investigators track one of the missing

01:27:54.220 laptops

01:27:54.700 discovered it was still inside the

01:27:56.200 building the laptop trapper tracker

01:27:57.800 led them straight to this guy rizzo

01:27:59.300 who was alone in a vacant penthouse

01:28:01.400 surrounded by the items that were

01:28:02.580 stolen

01:28:03.040 even the mypd not the mypd but even

01:28:05.800 the da's office of alvin bragg should

01:28:08.120 be able to prosecute that crime

01:28:09.560 and then they said when he was

01:28:11.620 arraigned

01:28:12.500 on wednesday night in manhattan criminal

01:28:14.300 court

01:28:14.600 um his defense attorney requested that

01:28:17.760 he be sprung

01:28:18.620 unsupervised release

01:28:20.400 arguing this career criminal had long

01:28:22.520 suffered from

01:28:23.040 housing instability

01:28:24.440 maybe his culture

01:28:26.480 was making it difficult for him to

01:28:28.240 assimilate

01:28:28.740 it's kind of one of those things

01:28:29.960 no his

01:28:31.140 his

01:28:31.500 his housing instability

01:28:33.480 and mental illness

01:28:34.760 made it difficult for him

01:28:36.780 and um he was ordered held without

01:28:39.420 bail but your thoughts on the

01:28:40.400 latest on here on this

01:28:41.520 housing instability so he ends up

01:28:43.960 at nyu

01:28:45.000 one of the more shocking aspects of

01:28:47.720 the story that has a lot of them 0.98

01:28:49.180 is that this freaking guy got some 0.88

01:28:51.780 of the most expensive apartments in 0.98

01:28:53.440 new york can you imagine how much

01:28:54.640 that apartment must cost 0.73

01:28:55.740 though it's a that's a nice area

01:28:57.340 around nyu this guy's just

01:28:58.740 squatting

01:28:59.140 how many people in new york would

01:29:00.940 kill to get any any apartment like

01:29:02.520 that anyway

01:29:02.940 that's a symbol actually of the

01:29:04.960 broader problem

01:29:05.620 which is that

01:29:06.580 new yorkers are subsidizing

01:29:08.480 the housing of people who

01:29:10.180 who do not deserve it

01:29:11.500 including notably many many

01:29:13.420 foreigners 1.00

01:29:13.900 it's just so pathetic 1.00

01:29:16.020 and it 1.00

01:29:17.040 it takes us all the way back

01:29:18.900 really to the declaration of

01:29:20.240 independence

01:29:20.580 why

01:29:21.540 why do we have a country

01:29:23.340 it says so in the declaration of

01:29:24.920 independence

01:29:25.160 everyone always remembers

01:29:26.400 that we have a country because we

01:29:28.000 want to you know guarantee the

01:29:29.500 rights given to us by god to life

01:29:30.980 liberty and the pursuit of

01:29:31.860 happiness but actually the

01:29:33.520 founding fathers tell us why they

01:29:35.000 launched the revolution

01:29:35.760 they they say they do so in order

01:29:38.100 to uh establish their own

01:29:40.760 peace and security so that they

01:29:43.740 can flourish as a it's about having

01:29:46.020 a good country and you cannot have a

01:29:48.600 good country you cannot have

01:29:50.220 liberty you cannot protect life you

01:29:52.360 certainly can't pursue happiness

01:29:53.640 if you don't have order and when you

01:29:56.820 have vagrants people who are getting

01:29:59.220 off on multiple crimes who are

01:30:01.840 uh being released after short jail

01:30:03.940 sentences who are squatting without

01:30:05.980 any problems who are committing

01:30:07.480 minor crimes in the streets no one

01:30:09.100 even looks at them when you have

01:30:11.120 that sort of thing trust collapses in

01:30:13.720 your society it inhibits you from

01:30:16.040 flourishing it inhibits your safety

01:30:18.040 you just you can't i mean this was

01:30:20.120 why giuliani was so successful in new

01:30:22.240 york with broken windows policing is he

01:30:24.300 said look we want liberty we want

01:30:26.180 flourishing we want but first you have

01:30:27.980 to have order and order has just totally

01:30:30.880 broken down certainly in the the

01:30:33.240 american cities but in the country

01:30:34.920 broadly and so i just think that the

01:30:37.200 liberals who are opposing law

01:30:39.520 enforcement right now what they're

01:30:41.240 undercutting is not just you know one

01:30:43.420 aspect of the law they're undercutting

01:30:45.120 all of our liberty all of our

01:30:46.560 flourishing the whole notion that we

01:30:48.440 could have a country and they're given

01:30:50.420 they're given expensive apartments to 0.98

01:30:52.280 lunatic criminals like this yeah i mean 0.96

01:30:55.080 nyu i'm sure is doing a full-throated

01:30:57.120 investigation now of how this guy

01:30:59.020 was able to squat in campus housing

01:31:02.520 and i will say this michael because

01:31:04.420 both amelia and summer were on the

01:31:07.460 show yesterday and summer had also

01:31:10.620 been attacked on the streets of new

01:31:12.200 york last may wailed in the face by

01:31:15.480 someone and i know summer and her

01:31:16.660 family very well i did not know about

01:31:18.380 this story and she told me it was

01:31:20.440 because she was traumatized by she was

01:31:22.740 humiliated and i think that's the

01:31:24.740 instinct of a lot of people you you

01:31:26.340 there's like a shame when you get

01:31:28.180 victimized you know like i don't know

01:31:29.680 why that happens but it happens it's

01:31:32.180 it's backwards you know of course

01:31:34.240 there's nothing to be ashamed about

01:31:35.520 um but i get it and i think even like

01:31:39.180 the tape of it was jarring for her was

01:31:41.520 upsetting to her in any event it was a

01:31:43.600 different assailant but both of these

01:31:45.320 girls had been attacked and assaulted 0.98

01:31:47.520 just walking around new york city i

01:31:49.580 realized new york it's not like going

01:31:51.500 to college at the university of

01:31:53.520 alabama which is amazing and pristine

01:31:56.520 but you know this is major metropolitan

01:31:58.800 city myu but still new york city used to

01:32:02.060 be it used to be relatively safe under

01:32:04.900 bloomberg and giuliani it was safe and

01:32:07.580 now what we see is you're gonna see

01:32:09.460 amelia on this tape in a minute she 1.00

01:32:10.580 circled herself in red after getting the

01:32:12.240 videotape and see the assailant come

01:32:13.980 get her look at her it's broad daylight

01:32:16.260 it's a crowded sidewalk he knew tons of

01:32:19.600 people would be there he runs up to get

01:32:21.340 her and wails on her and then when she 0.99

01:32:24.700 goes down pulls her by the hair and 0.84

01:32:27.000 people are horrified and it is like it

01:32:30.720 is a falling apart of the basic covenant

01:32:32.460 of just being a citizen in a free country

01:32:35.720 that this isn't supposed to be able to

01:32:37.880 happen and and there is a way of

01:32:39.660 stopping this a serial criminal arrested

01:32:43.060 16 times just out of prison mental

01:32:45.220 illness yet again we see we had the

01:32:47.380 police commissioner of nyc is saying

01:32:49.620 before all this there's only so much

01:32:51.740 the cops can do about mental illness

01:32:53.040 and she's right we need to lock these

01:32:55.780 people up in facilities from which they

01:32:58.580 are not allowed to leave even if they

01:33:00.640 haven't committed a crime i'm sorry but

01:33:02.540 the rest of us have rights as

01:33:05.300 recognized by that declaration you you

01:33:07.240 mentioned that are not being

01:33:08.400 protected protected yes well i'm sorry

01:33:11.200 i want you to i want you to respond to

01:33:12.660 this but the fbi presser of course

01:33:14.040 starting right now standby standby watch

01:33:15.680 good afternoon good afternoon as you

01:33:22.920 all know now early this morning brian

01:33:26.180 cole jr was arrested and charged with

01:33:29.640 placing the pipe bombs at the rnc and

01:33:33.020 the dnc on january 5th 2021 he has been

01:33:38.040 charged with violating 18 usc 844 which

01:33:42.260 is use of an explosive device this

01:33:45.260 investigation is ongoing as we speak

01:33:48.720 search warrants are being executed and

01:33:51.380 there could be more charges to come i'm

01:33:53.860 going to let our u.s attorney discuss

01:33:55.420 that shortly this was the work of

01:33:58.360 multiple agencies working together this

01:34:02.160 morning's operation was carried out

01:34:04.420 safely and successfully we know that

01:34:07.540 there is there are so many issues when

01:34:10.980 you're issuing search warrants dangerous

01:34:13.840 things can happen and this was carried

01:34:15.860 out safely and secure securely thanks to

01:34:18.960 all of the people standing around me they

01:34:21.860 have worked tirelessly on this today's

01:34:24.720 arrest happened because the trump

01:34:26.960 administration has made this case a

01:34:29.960 priority the total lack of movement on

01:34:34.380 this case in our nation's capital undermined

01:34:38.380 the public trust of our enforcement agencies

01:34:43.420 this cold case languished for four years

01:34:48.260 until director patel and deputy director

01:34:51.180 bongino came to the fbi the fbi along with

01:34:57.220 u.s attorney piero and all of our prosecutors

01:35:00.620 have worked tirelessly for months sifting

01:35:04.780 through evidence that had been sitting at

01:35:08.200 the fbi with the biden administration for

01:35:11.460 four long years let me be clear there was no

01:35:15.840 new tip there was no new witness just good

01:35:20.140 diligent police work and prosecutorial work

01:35:23.960 working as a team along with atf capital

01:35:27.820 police metropolitan police department and of

01:35:31.980 course the fbi we are working every day to

01:35:36.380 restore the public's trust we hope that

01:35:39.860 today is a significant step towards that

01:35:43.020 progress we'll share more information when

01:35:46.620 when we can and when it unfolds i cannot

01:35:50.300 stress enough how hard director patel and

01:35:53.980 deputy director bongino have worked for

01:35:56.620 months to make our nation's capitals safer

01:36:00.780 and to make our country safer i'd like to introduce now director patel

01:36:07.820 thank you general when you attack american citizens

01:36:13.260 when you attack our institutions of legislation

01:36:16.620 when you attack our nation's capital you attack the very

01:36:20.140 being of our way of life and this fbi and this department of justice stand here

01:36:25.260 to tell you that we will always refute it and combat it we will

01:36:28.860 provide the safest country the nation has ever seen under

01:36:32.060 president trump's leadership here and that's what we did here today with

01:36:35.180 great resolve on a case of massive public importance as it should be an

01:36:39.260 individual who's now alleged to have placed multiple explosive devices

01:36:43.100 to blow up multiple people and multiple officials innocent civilians is now

01:36:48.460 arrested thanks to the brave men and women of the fbi and the inner agency i want to take a

01:36:54.140 moment to thank the metropolitan police department the united states capitol police

01:36:58.860 our brave prosecutors the department of justice and our leader attorney general

01:37:02.060 pam bondi and u.s attorney janine pirro whose relentless work on this case

01:37:07.500 made this possible as the attorney general said we did not discover any new information

01:37:13.180 what we did an investigation spearheaded by the deputy director and the adic of our

01:37:18.380 washington field office brought in a new team of investigators and experts re-examined

01:37:23.500 every piece of evidence sifted through all the data something that the prior administration

01:37:29.260 refused and failed to do as a result of that we generated numerous investigative leads

01:37:34.860 executed multiple legal process with their u.s attorney partners and came to this conclusion today

01:37:40.620 and that is why we were able to safely secure this individual into custody remember we are dealing with

01:37:47.980 an individual who is alleged to have made bombs we cannot do this sort of takedown in haste because

01:37:54.700 it endangers the lives of law enforcement and this fbi will never allow the lives of law enforcement and

01:38:00.620 our prosecutors to be put in jeopardy this execution was flawless in terms of teamwork resilience and just

01:38:08.860 a good old-fashioned way of police getting the job done when you let good cops be cops this is what happens

01:38:16.860 i'm eternally grateful to the team behind me to the leadership at the fbi who made this possible but

01:38:23.260 i do want to highlight when i introduced the deputy he made this case and so many others including summer

01:38:28.620 heat his priority to come in here and solve it for the american people and today i'm proud to stay in

01:38:35.340 here before you and say we solved it he will have his day in court the american public and the world will

01:38:41.900 learn even more information through the legal process as we have committed under this attorney

01:38:46.860 general we are the most transparent law enforcement operation in u.s history but we are also going to

01:38:52.380 make sure accountability is delivered to its fullest extent and that happens in the courts of law with

01:38:57.340 our u.s attorneys and our prosecutors so we will divulge information when it is prudent and

01:39:01.740 constitutionally permissible while upholding the safeguards of this case to make sure that the

01:39:06.780 people that this individual intended to victimize get the accountability to deserve and most importantly

01:39:12.940 to deliver on president trump's promise to secure our nation's capital and the rest of the cities

01:39:17.820 in this country to make sure that americans are allowed to go out free and securely in their

01:39:22.860 neighborhoods and that people around the world are allowed to visit our nation's capital and they

01:39:27.580 now have that trust thanks to the leadership of the fbi the washington field office and i'm honored

01:39:32.860 now to introduce to you deputy director bongino who spearheaded this investigation

01:39:41.020 thank you all for being here for this critical investigation we've been working on for a very

01:39:44.780 long time we deeply appreciate it thank you for the kind words attorney general and director i appreciate

01:39:50.860 it folks this is what it's like when you work for a president who tells you to go get the bad guys

01:39:56.060 and stop focusing on other extraneous things not related to law enforcement this is what happens we had a

01:40:01.340 great team i know it's said a lot in this business it was a team effort becomes cliche but cliches are

01:40:07.100 useful for a reason because they matter and this was a team effort uh the director and the attorney

01:40:12.300 general emphasized that it was not a new public tip this came from this was our internal work at the fbi

01:40:18.940 and i want to just um really express my sincere

01:40:22.780 von gino up at the microphone there

01:40:28.780 down others went down so we'll try to get it back but

01:40:31.900 look nothing was said nothing there was a lot of back padding just but it's a good day for it for them

01:40:39.740 let's not let's not begrudge the fbi a moment of celebration as they announced they have caught what

01:40:44.860 they say is the pipe bomber brian cole jr uh charged him under 18 usc 844 with use of an explosive device

01:40:53.500 more charges to come potentially uh saying this cold case pam bondy attorney general languished for 1.00

01:41:00.700 four years until director patel and deputy director bongino came to the fbi um miss bondy also saying

01:41:08.940 that search warrants are being executed right now on his property that we will share more info when

01:41:14.940 we can and when it unfolds is suggesting that the legal documents submitted at his arraignment later

01:41:21.100 will have the details of why they believe it's him i guess we learned next to nothing new about him

01:41:26.300 in that presser michael but notwithstanding the fact that the fbi did a lot of you know

01:41:30.940 go go us it is kind of a day for go us over at the fbi and they've certainly taken a lot on the chin

01:41:37.180 since they got in there they certainly have the question on all of our minds is why didn't they

01:41:42.860 tell us anything about him and uh there there are two potential reasons for that i think one is they

01:41:48.700 might just not know you know they just arrested this guy they're executing more search warrants

01:41:52.860 so they might not know and that that is without question the that should be the the first place that

01:41:58.300 we go to however let's say that they do know something and everyone's going to try to speculate

01:42:03.980 is the information that they have suggesting that he's on the right or is it suggesting that

01:42:08.460 he's on the left it seems to me from the fact that we haven't really heard anything about him from the

01:42:13.020 fbi probably the evidence puts him on the left because if there were a ton of evidence i'm now i'm

01:42:20.060 going to put on my real cynical politician hat if there were evidence placing him on on the right i think

01:42:26.860 it would probably behoove the administration to release any information whatsoever that could complicate

01:42:32.700 the story and put him onto the left or make his political motivations ambiguous the fact that

01:42:37.740 they've told us nothing they say look we're gonna we're gonna release the biographical information

01:42:42.300 when it is prudent to do so we don't want to compromise the investigation we don't to to me

01:42:47.260 suggests if there is evidence about a political motivation probably it is that he's on the left

01:42:53.340 and that we'll hear about that soon enough and that would back up all of the information we had

01:42:57.500 even before the press conference which was most of the information that we're going to get period

01:43:01.180 uh but let's not forget we didn't know anything about this guy for five years and it might be the

01:43:05.820 case that we might not know anything about this guy for five years and a week or two weeks or two

01:43:10.220 months i want to hear the building blocks of how they found him you know like i want to hear exactly

01:43:14.700 what they saw in those files that led them to this guy and you know what we may indeed hear all of that

01:43:21.980 because as of right now we are scheduled to have a sit down with cash patel on this show tomorrow

01:43:31.100 so he's agreed to do an interview with us and i'm gonna ask him all those questions and it will be

01:43:36.540 post arraignment so we should have more details and we should be able to get all the little breadcrumbs

01:43:42.060 that led them right to this guy was it just a matter of sheer will and determination and you know good

01:43:48.220 old-fashioned police work you know why all i keep thinking about michael are those burn bags of

01:43:53.340 information they found in some old room that comey had at the fbi um you know like and then chris ray

01:44:00.700 like what why why were those there what was this a disorganized dysfunctional group or just a nefarious

01:44:09.100 group that was actively ignoring this case because they didn't like where it was leading we really don't

01:44:14.060 know but i mean with government incompetence 99 of the time is your best bet we just don't know yet

01:44:20.460 here and i'm fascinated to hear him explain it to us there is this question as to how the us marshals

01:44:26.700 were able to track down the cell phones of every single person who ever even had a thought about

01:44:31.580 traveling to the capital on january 6th and you know arrest them in their showers six months later

01:44:36.540 but this guy we've just known nothing about for five years i agree with you megan it certainly could

01:44:42.700 be incompetence but knowing what we know about the doj and the fbi under biden it's it's and i'm

01:44:48.860 sorry under under democrats really for for a very long time it's hard for me to believe that and i

01:44:55.180 that's a great interview tomorrow that's very impressive i think the only way i could scoop you

01:44:58.780 on ratings is if if i could get brian cole to sit down for an interview but otherwise that is going to

01:45:03.020 be must listen i i can't wait to hear it thank you you might be able to get brian cox who actually was

01:45:09.180 a very interesting guest and told us a lot about that ship i literally almost fell out of my chair

01:45:14.620 when i saw i saw the name in my in my head i read it as brian cox i'm like holy shit he was just on the

01:45:20.140 show he he fooled me too wow yeah not not it brian cox is a distinguished man of service who we really

01:45:27.820 admire not to be confused with cole who is now under arrest for um use of an explosive device okay the

01:45:36.300 feed got back up but they were still just doing a bunch more back patting darren cox the assistant

01:45:42.140 director in charge of the fbi washington field office says they went through three million lines

01:45:47.340 of data as part of the investigation but again nothing more specific than that um what what's

01:45:54.300 our timing steve do we have to go i know michael has to go okay that's what we'll do i know michael

01:46:00.380 you're gonna have to leave we're gonna go back to this presser and continue monitoring it thank

01:46:03.340 you my friend it's great to see you today as always excellent to be with you megan i look

01:46:07.500 forward to that interview tomorrow okay good i got it covered yeah i will continue to pursue back in

01:46:12.220 every resource that we have to ensure that the dc pipe bomber is brought to justice thank you

01:46:24.540 you keep hearing the words partnership and team and that's what we are and we could not do this

01:46:30.780 without our u.s attorney janine pierrot janine from day one has worked tirelessly for our country and

01:46:38.140 for our nation's capital it's my honor to introduce my friend u.s attorney janine pierrot

01:46:45.660 thank you very much attorney general and you have been listening to a lot of thank yous and a lot of

01:46:51.660 gratitude the reason that we're thanking each other to the extent that we are today

01:46:57.740 is because we have seen in this case an incredible collaboration around the clock in the middle of

01:47:07.660 the night it doesn't matter we call each other we make contact they need a warrant they need something

01:47:15.660 someone wants legal advice these are the men and women who never give it up you hear about government

01:47:23.980 employees but i don't know if you really realize what it is that they do they are incredible and this case

01:47:33.660 is big four years 10 months and 28 days ago an individual placed a bomb in the vicinity of both the rnc

01:47:44.060 and the dnc and for that amount of time that individual evaded accountability

01:47:50.540 today as a result of the cumulative efforts of the men and women in the fbi and the police department

01:47:59.180 and the department of justice we are finally able to make an arrest of an individual by the name of brian

01:48:06.860 cole as the attorney general has indicated he is uh arrested for transporting an explosive device

01:48:14.700 and interstate commerce as well as the attempted malicious destruction by means of explosive materials

01:48:23.180 you know folks this case involved millions of pieces of data and it is a huge win because it was like

01:48:33.020 finding a needle in a haystack so much of this evidence was uh very specific but a lot of it was also

01:48:43.900 very general for example there were 233 000 black end caps of the type that were used in this case

01:48:56.140 i want you to think about the fact that the fbi had to go through the sale of every one of them

01:49:03.180 to try to find commonality with an individual along with the purchase of the the the pipe itself the cap ends

01:49:13.820 the wires the steel and the nine volt batteries every one of those had to be mined and remind to the point

01:49:22.620 where we were able to then connect and make no mistake it was this administration it was this president

01:49:31.420 who made the decision that we were going to use all of our efforts to get it done and get it done they

01:49:39.020 did finally let me say this today begins the formal process of accountability where this defendant will

01:49:50.060 begin his journey through the criminal justice system and i pledge to you that the united states

01:49:56.940 attorney's office will take this case across the finish line again thank you to the incredible work

01:50:04.780 of the fbi to the attorney general and to our local partners as well this is a job that i think was well done

01:50:17.100 thank you president trump's directive to all of us was to not only make america safe again

01:50:22.140 but dc and to make it safe and beautiful we could not have done that without our partnership with mayor

01:50:29.260 bowser and chief smith it is my honor to introduce metropolitan police department chief smith

01:50:40.460 good afternoon and thank you everyone i am chief pamela smith chief of police of the metropolitan

01:50:44.940 police department thank you attorney general bondi uh us attorney janine pierrot and fbi director patel

01:50:53.420 for having me here today for nearly five years the agency standing here today have worked together

01:51:00.060 under the leadership of the fbi to locate our suspect who is responsible for the two pipe bombs that were

01:51:05.740 placed around our city mpd members assigned to the fbi's joint terrorism task force have supported this

01:51:12.540 case from the beginning that supports include looking reviewing and going through countless probably

01:51:20.220 thousands of hours of cctv footage from around the dnc and rnc headquarters and they followed up on

01:51:27.820 hundreds and thousands of leads from members of our communities what i will say today is that

01:51:32.940 washingtonians can rest easier today knowing that the suspect responsible for this act is now in

01:51:40.140 custody this morning's arrest is yet another reminder that committing any act with the

01:51:46.700 intention of harming the residents and visitors of the district of columbia will result in your arrest

01:51:52.780 the men and women of the metropolitan police department the fbi the atf the u.s capitol police

01:51:59.740 and certainly the prosecutors at our u.s attorney's office will go to the furthest length i heard somebody

01:52:05.900 say to the end of the earth but thank god we didn't have to go to the end of the earth today

01:52:09.820 that we were able to bring this subject into custody i want to commend the men and women of

01:52:15.580 the fbi and the members of the metropolitan police department and all of the agencies who are standing

01:52:21.340 behind me today on a job well done i will turn it over now to attorney general bondi we're going to

01:52:28.540 take some questions just remember as i said in the beginning this is ongoing it's very active

01:52:34.300 the search warrants are still being executed many charges potentially to come so just keep that in

01:52:40.460 mind when asking your questions jake fox news um so you said it'd been nearly five years we all know

01:52:47.500 that and that you said there have been no new evidence so can you say anything about the evidence

01:52:52.380 that actually did lead to this arrest and then secondarily you're talking about additional charges

01:52:57.660 possibly can you say what those you might be considering or terrorism charges or what we can't discuss

01:53:02.780 new charges of course yet ongoing but what i will say is this is why this was so incredibly important

01:53:09.340 more than any other cases this is in our nation's capital where this happened and now thanks to the fbi

01:53:15.900 we know that this defendant was living just miles away from here in virginia so as to the evidence in

01:53:23.180 the case i'm going to let director patel take that but it's still very active and very ongoing

01:53:27.820 thank you general and as i stated earlier and as the general has already reiterated our job is

01:53:34.780 to provide full accountability in the court of law with uh judge piero's team and in order to do that

01:53:40.140 we have to preserve the chain of custody and evidentiary value what i will say generally is that when you go

01:53:45.900 through three million lines of information you all can think about the amount of cell phone data that

01:53:50.780 has to be ingested and triangulated and dumped and received you also have to think of just sheer human

01:53:56.460 ingenuity we brought in a team of experts who were the best at what they do in their specific fields

01:54:01.820 to reevaluate that evidence to dive back in and to not come back with a no for an answer until they

01:54:07.420 had found the suspect and when you develop evidence you get a search warrant and when you get a search

01:54:11.660 warrant you get an address and when you get an address you hit the house and that's what we did

01:54:15.180 uh city wall street journal hi there um so what can you tell us about this person's motivations and

01:54:24.460 whether they were driven by politics or any other for any other reason why right now it's ongoing again

01:54:30.540 we just executed the search warrant early early this morning it's ongoing but america's safer dc's safer

01:54:37.740 because he's in custody uh mary margaret uh thank you so much so any theory on why kamala harris is

01:54:45.980 never mentioned coming within 20 feet of being assassinated and any news on why her secret service

01:54:50.780 team took so long to find this bomb at the dnc no but what what i what i will tell you is that evidence

01:54:57.740 has been sitting there collecting dust this wasn't a new tip it wasn't some new evidence it was the hard

01:55:05.980 work of president trump's administration deputy director bongino and director patel i watched

01:55:13.740 them from day one come in here and say we are going to solve this crime and they did working hand in

01:55:21.100 hand with u.s attorney piero and all of our great attorneys uh pierre there you see um general body

01:55:29.740 director patel or deputy director bongino can you describe was there a particular moment

01:55:36.540 where the evidence is coming in and it's starting to look like progress is being made which what was

01:55:42.700 the moment that you knew that you were on the road to solving the case

01:55:49.900 dan you want to take that yeah sure yeah i was smiling at you because i certainly remember the moment

01:55:55.980 darren remembers it too he said are you sitting down called me on the phone i said oh boy why is this bad

01:56:03.100 news and he said i think we got him um what exactly that tip was i i'm gonna have to pass on that for

01:56:13.820 right now while we're still there's obviously we're in the prologue of a long book this is just the

01:56:19.020 beginning this is not the end of the investigation as you all well know haven't reported on these for a

01:56:23.580 long time there's interviews to be conducted the search warrant processing scene is not even done so we're

01:56:29.660 at the early stages so that's the only reason i hesitate tell you what the exact tip was but yes

01:56:35.100 that was absolutely the moment and it was due to the diligent and incredible work of a team

01:56:41.740 in the washington field office that came in and just scoured through this over and over and over and over

01:56:48.220 again in general was it forensic was it a phone call was it something about a vehicle i'd rather

01:56:55.900 i i will just leave it generally forensic evidence yeah it's fair enough to say

01:57:02.060 excuse me how long ago that was um i'd rather not say because of the ongoing interview process and i don't

01:57:08.060 want to i just want to add something to tell you how thorough this team was

01:57:13.980 that that moment that was kind of like the aha moment that wasn't the end this team continued to

01:57:22.860 work and work and work to get every bit of evidence that we could get we didn't stop at that moment and

01:57:29.900 that's a testament to the fact that the team wanted every possible evidence piece of evidence that they

01:57:36.140 could gather thank you so much have you recovered the notable sneakers uh have you um done surveillance

01:57:50.620 of this suspect uh from that aha moment to when you exercise the search warrants today and obviously this

01:57:58.700 happened on january 5th into january 6th how should the public look at this case separate from all of the

01:58:05.900 cases related to what transpired on january 6th and the president's subsequent parties i'm going to

01:58:11.980 let director patel take the evidence part we have to be careful again um you've asked very good

01:58:16.940 investigative questions but this is ongoing very active but america should feel safer today we say a

01:58:23.660 pipe bomb these are bombs these were live active bombs that were placed in washington dc director

01:58:30.780 thank you uh this shows you how much detail you and the american public have paid paid attention to

01:58:37.260 this case of course we analyzed everything that you're seeing on this poster board and information

01:58:43.580 that you will see um through the formal charging process and court process but we want to let that

01:58:48.860 evidence speak for itself because again we do not want to disrupt the accountability that we owe the

01:58:54.700 american public yes you heard about the cell phone tower data yes you heard about of course we surveil

01:58:59.580 individuals who we think we're going to blow up american citizens but how and when we do it and

01:59:04.300 why we do it is not something we're ever going to reveal unless the department of justice deems it fit

01:59:08.700 at trial so we appreciate your attention to detail and your hardcore investigative work but you can just

01:59:14.460 imagine some of those same skills are being utilized by this fbi this department of justice our partners

01:59:19.660 the atf and everybody across the board and this is an interagency win for the american people

01:59:23.900 radar before thank you all and and one more thing this is the best birthday present i think deputy

01:59:30.620 director bongino could ask for today happy holidays merry christmas thank you

01:59:39.820 wow an extraordinary day for the country for the fbi and for justice um now being told that they do have

01:59:48.060 brian cole in custody that he is the alleged pipe bomber of january 5th 2021 and we did that time get

01:59:57.420 a bit more information not a ton but some saying that they went through millions of pieces of data

02:00:04.220 they said it was like finding a needle in a haystack uh pointing out that there were two this is janine

02:00:10.780 piero mentioned there were two hundred i think it was janine 233 000 black end caps like the caps

02:00:18.060 you put on a pipe that they had to look through like the purchases of those the nine volt battery she

02:00:25.020 mentioned the pipes themselves we went through it all to connect the dots she said um then they go they

02:00:32.540 went on excuse me cash patel adding three million lines of info cell phone tower info uh that we brought

02:00:43.740 in a team of experts to come back in and pour over all of this information we told them we would not take

02:00:50.780 no for an answer find the suspect um then saying pam bondi saying this evidence has been sitting

02:01:00.940 there collecting dust under joe biden it was the hard work of dan bongino and cash patel that got it

02:01:07.420 done janine piero um saying this team came back and worked to get every possible piece of evidence

02:01:15.420 the question by kelly o'donnell who was she still with nbc i don't watch mainstream media anymore

02:01:22.300 uh asking if they recovered the sneakers if they recovered uh if they did any surveillance

02:01:27.500 and cash basically saying yes without saying yes he said this fbi absolutely does surveil someone who

02:01:33.500 wants to blow up hundreds of thousands of americans and uses cell phone tower data too

02:01:41.180 you can you can assume some of those techniques were used in this case we're going to learn more

02:01:46.060 today i believe at this i believe we're going to see the we'll have an arraignment we'll have some

02:01:51.820 court proceeding later today we'll see the supporting affidavit in support of the arrest by the arresting

02:01:57.500 officer of the fbi agent similar to the way we did in brian kohlberger and that will spell out exactly

02:02:03.740 how they got the arrest warrant for this guy so we're going to know a lot more by the time cash

02:02:07.820 hopefully we'll be sitting down with this this time tomorrow he's agreed just you know you never know

02:02:10.940 he's busy um then there was that great moment where the reporter asked how did just tell it was a

02:02:21.420 clever question because they weren't answering any of the substantive questions so he said can you at least

02:02:25.260 tell us what the moment was like when you realized oh mg i think we got him and dan bongino telling

02:02:32.140 the story about being called by uh one of the fellow fbi supervisors and who asked dan are you sitting

02:02:39.420 down dan thinking it was gonna be bad news and the guy saying i think we got him uh then they pointed out

02:02:46.620 search warrant is right at this moment still being executed so they can't share the exact tip

02:02:53.100 or comment that followed that but did say it was forensic evidence it was forensic that could mean

02:02:59.900 anything um i'm not sure exactly what it means it sounds like it goes back to the analysis they were

02:03:07.500 taking the pipes they were taking the the cap ends the nine volt batteries all these things that had

02:03:14.860 had to be purchased and they i guess we're assuming it was purchased in the metropolitan dc area they

02:03:20.940 probably started there and then you try to see whose credit card paid for what you try to match up

02:03:25.500 those receipts there'd be millions of them you know 233 000 for the black end caps alone cross-reference

02:03:34.140 trying to figure out whether you know one person is on more than one list and before you know it

02:03:39.820 you've you've got uh maybe a couple of profiles and then you see height right you try to figure out

02:03:48.860 uh who could i rule out this person has died since then this person whatever a six foot four

02:03:56.940 this person has a travel record stamped by immigration showing he was in italy at the time

02:04:01.980 right that kind of thing i mean that that's old-fashioned police work that could get you a very

02:04:05.820 narrow list and then possible surveillance i mean one of the things they said they were concerned

02:04:09.980 about is if they're executing the active search warrant right now in this guy's backyard they're

02:04:14.300 worried about bombs i mean this guy clearly knows how to make them if this is the right man

02:04:20.060 and so everyone needs to be careful the agents who are on site are potentially endangered

02:04:25.660 so are the dogs so is the neighborhood and um so everything has got to be handled just right

02:04:31.980 i think they handled this well because they needed to tell people that they made an arrest it was going

02:04:35.180 to leak anyway but they didn't get too far ahead of their skis by saying anything that could compromise

02:04:40.540 the investigation prior to actually charging him in court and then passing the baton to janine pirro

02:04:47.660 the u.s attorney now for the district of columbia look it was a great day for the fbi and i didn't

02:04:53.420 realize it was dan's birthday happy birthday to him such a sweetheart he's had a rough few few months

02:04:58.300 down there too i don't think any of them really loving being in government you can't blame them

02:05:03.420 does it look fun it doesn't look fun to me dan had a great life sort of cash on the outside they did 0.96

02:05:10.540 this for all of us they've received nothing but shit for saying yes i mean nothing like people turned 0.64

02:05:18.860 on them in an instant suggesting they'd gone deep state because they came out on epstein and said 0.98

02:05:25.100 like we actually think he did kill himself they like they were not to be forgiven for drawing that

02:05:30.300 conclusion it's been really crazy how people reacted to them i think they're trying to do their job as

02:05:35.820 law enforcement officers hasn't been flawless but it's been very solid those arrest stats that we read

02:05:40.540 the other day from cash were really impressive and this is amazing assuming they have the right guy

02:05:44.940 guy and then it'll play out but this is amazing thank god this person is under arrest this was a

02:05:50.220 crime that should not have gone punishment free um or and without identification of this suspect who

02:05:56.460 knows what this guy would have done next who knows whether that would have been his alleged crime his

02:06:00.180 last alleged crime and i for one can't wait to find out exactly exactly what it was that led them

02:06:07.420 to him okay i'm gonna hand it over to my pal emily jashinsky she's here she's gonna be hosting the 0.99

02:06:12.580 megan kelly show wrap-up program and there's so much to discuss i don't can i talk to emily or is

02:06:18.180 that not possible have we not figured out that technology i can't talk to her only you can talk to 0.96

02:06:22.740 her so you can call in now and talk to one of the ej's emily jashinsky uh host of the mk wrap-up show
