00:15:16.660 and vehicles as he advanced on foot down a busy roadway along the Charles River outside of Boston.

00:15:35.800 the suspect as 46-year-old Tyler Brown of Boston. The campaign of terror coming to an end as a state

00:16:01.200 times in the extremities. The suspect was then treated on scene by those same officers who'd

00:16:08.200 been attempting to end the situation. He was transported to a Boston hospital where he is

00:16:14.240 being treated for gunshot wounds to the extremities. The attack sending people scrambling in fear for

00:16:20.020 their lives. One woman telling a local NBC affiliate, the former Marine who helped stop

00:16:25.480 the shooter first saved her life. A man came around, went around his car and pulled open my

00:16:35.620 car door and made like a barricade. He had a gun and he told me to run and I ran and then I just

00:16:44.660 ran as fast as I could. DA Ryan declining to name the Marine for privacy reasons,

00:16:50.480 but crediting him and the trooper with ending the attack within minutes.

00:18:02.440 serve the rest of his five- to six-year sentence under parole supervision. A Massachusetts parole

00:18:08.880 officer reportedly contacting the Boston PD about an hour before the shooting, the officer raising

00:18:14.540 concerns after a phone call with Brown, in which Brown self-reported relapsing into drug use and

00:18:20.200 said he intended to end his own life. Brown had been released from a local psychiatric hospital

00:18:25.680 on Friday. The DA saying on Monday investigators did not find a connection between Brown and any

00:18:31.980 of the people he targeted in the attack. Brown's arraignment not yet set as he remains under
