00:01:52.540 Three new witnesses taking the stand Wednesday in the Sean Diddy Combs criminal trial,
00:01:57.220 one of whose testimony prompted the defense to move for a mistrial. First on the stand,
00:02:02.260 LAPD officer Christopher Ignacio, who responded to Kid Cudi's home in December 2011. This incident
00:02:08.680 now recounted several times from varying perspectives, including that of star witness Cassie Ventura,
00:02:13.860 Kid Cudi himself, and former Diddy assistant Capricorn Clark. Combs allegedly becoming enraged
00:02:20.140 upon discovering Ventura was in a relationship with Kid Cudi. Capricorn Clark calling Ventura to
00:02:25.260 warn her that she was parked outside of Kid Cudi's house and an armed Sean Combs was inside waiting
00:02:31.340 for Cudi to return. Kid Cudi then calling the police to report a possible break-in. Officer Ignacio
00:02:37.540 testifying that he noticed a black Escalade as he and his partner arrived on scene and that the
00:02:43.060 vehicle drove away as the police car approached the home with its lights flashing. Ignacio ran the plates
00:02:48.840 of the vehicle, determining it was registered to Combs' record label, Bad Boy Productions. Ignacio telling
00:02:55.060 prosecutors he did not pursue the vehicle because there was no determined crime at that point. On cross
00:03:00.700 examination, Ignacio telling the defense he did not remember anyone mentioning a gun and there was no
00:03:06.320 gun referenced in his report. Capricorn Clark had testified in this trial that Diddy did have one.
00:03:13.520 Prosecutors then calling L.A. Fire Department arson investigator Lance Jimenez to the stand,
00:03:18.940 this testimony making the biggest splash of the day. Jimenez testifying about his role relating to a
00:03:24.280 January 2012 incident at Kid Cudi's home when the musician's Porsche was set on fire. Jimenez telling
00:03:30.440 prosecutors he believed the car was targeted. Kid Cudi testifying last week he believed Sean Combs was
00:03:36.920 involved with the Molotov cocktail that destroyed his Porsche. Jimenez testifying that Kid Cudi's home
00:03:43.040 was swept for fingerprints following the December incident. Two prints were recovered. Jimenez testifying
00:03:48.900 that the fingerprint cards were later destroyed by an LAPD officer in August 2012. The witness saying
00:03:55.840 he would typically have had to sign off on destruction of evidence as the lead investigator,
00:04:00.800 but that he did not do so here. The defense objecting to this line of questioning. The jury then went to
00:04:06.540 break and that's when the defense motioned for a mistrial, arguing this line of questioning implies
00:04:11.560 that Sean Combs was able to buy his way out of trouble. Defense attorney Mark Agnifilo saying, quote,
00:04:17.020 they were suggesting to this jury that someone in this courtroom had something to do with the
00:04:21.520 improper and suspicious destruction of these fingerprints. The judge denying that motion,
00:04:27.000 then instructing the jury to disregard any questions and answers related to the destruction
00:04:30.820 of the fingerprints. Prosecutors then calling a friend of Ventura's to the stand, Deontay Nash.
00:04:37.240 Nash interned for Bad Boy Entertainment before becoming a stylist to Ventura. Nash testifying to
00:04:42.960 witnessing multiple threats against Ventura from Combs, including telling Ventura he would not
00:04:47.840 release her music and saying he would release sexually explicit videos of Ventura if she upset
00:04:53.940 him in any way. Nash testifying that Combs exercised control over Ventura's outfits, approving each look.
00:05:02.000 The witness telling prosecutors Ventura would stay in hotels with Combs on about a weekly basis,
00:05:07.020 Nash saying he would often see Ventura packing a bag with sex toys.
00:05:10.860 Ventura previously told him she did not want to participate in the so-called
00:05:15.420 freak-offs, graphic sexual encounters, often including male escorts, conducted at Combs' request,
00:05:22.400 but that she did it, quote, because he, Combs, wanted her to.
00:05:26.800 Nash testifying that Combs got violent with him a few times, including once where he, quote,
00:05:31.840 started choking me out for going out to a club with Cassie, whom he said he had to hide from Combs,
00:05:38.740 quote, too many times to count. Nash describing an incident where Combs attacked Ventura in a fit
00:05:45.040 of rage. Going after her so aggressively, Nash and another assistant jumped on Combs' back to stop
00:05:50.960 the violence. The witness telling prosecutors Combs only stopped after Ventura struck her head
00:05:55.980 on the corner of the bed, drawing blood. Combs then saying to the group, quote, look what y'all made me
00:06:01.940 do. On cross-examination, the defense asking Nash how he could maintain a friendship with someone
00:06:07.040 who had assaulted his friend. Nash replying, quote, it was just what I was used to. Wednesday on the
00:06:13.440 Megyn Kelly show, lawyer Alan Dershowitz saying he believes the prosecution will secure a conviction,
00:06:18.800 but that it will likely be overturned on appeal because Combs is not charged with domestic assault
00:06:24.220 and battery. How do you think it's going for the prosecution?
00:06:27.140 Well, it's going very well at the trial, but it will be reversed on appeal for the same reason
00:06:32.760 the Harvey Weinstein case was reversed. The jury shouldn't be seeing all this material because
00:06:38.560 he's not charged with any of it. If this were a state case in which he was charged with domestic
00:06:43.340 abuse, with kicking his wife or girl. It's part of the Rico Foundation, right? It's like these
00:06:47.680 underlying predicate criminal acts. Trafficking and all of these things undercut that. It makes it sound
00:06:53.440 like he had terrible relationships with the people close to him rather than trafficking or doing
00:06:58.400 anything involving Rico. So I think from a legal point of view, the state is undercutting its own
00:07:03.760 case. But from a jury point of view, my God, what could be better than showing them a videotape of him
00:07:08.960 being a terrible, terrible person? But he's not on trial for being a terrible person. He's on trial for
00:07:14.420 specific violations of specific federal laws, and they will be reversed on appeal.
00:07:19.020 Prosecutors are trying to connect the violence to Combs's Rico charge, or racketeering and
00:07:24.160 conspiracy, which requires two underlying predicate crimes for a conviction. Thus,
00:07:29.340 they must introduce evidence of crimes, even if they haven't been specifically charged.
00:07:34.340 Much of this evidence has not even elicited an objection from Combs, and thus could not form
00:07:39.260 the basis for an appeal. Also of note, Cassie Ventura now married to fitness trainer Alex Fine,
00:07:44.980 delivering her third child a son on Wednesday.
00:07:49.020 With no cameras or recording devices allowed in the Diddy courtroom, spectators are relying on
00:07:54.700 reporter accounts from inside the room and work by multiple sketch artists. Combs, who is being held
00:08:00.480 without bail and goes home to a prison cell at night, allowed to appear before court in any combination of
00:08:06.260 up to five button-down shirts, five pairs of pants, five sweaters, five pairs of socks, and two pairs of
00:08:12.120 shoes without the laces. A highly limited wardrobe for the former fashion mogul. Inside the reportedly
00:08:18.040 freezing courtroom, Combs remaining largely stone-faced, though occasionally seen flashing
00:08:23.180 hand-heart gestures to his family members or hugging his attorneys during breaks. Combs' children and his
00:08:29.680 mother, regular fixtures of support throughout the long days of testimony. Combs' uncharacteristically
00:08:35.000 gray hair sparking some online discussion. Body language expert and jury consultant Susan Constantine
00:08:40.920 weighing in on the defendant's demeanor during a recent episode of Law & Crimes on the case.
00:08:45.900 The fact that he's leaning back with his legs crossed, that's actually a power move. It's what
00:08:49.900 we call a four-corner stance where sometimes an individual will cross their legs over and that is
00:08:56.960 kind of a power stance, especially when they're leaning back. We see this a lot with people that
00:09:01.300 are so comfortable, but they're also arrogant. I think he wants to appear softer, kind of in the
00:09:06.980 backdrop, not so big and overt because he's generally, like he said, he's like the star,
00:09:12.600 right? He's always very big and loud and intense in his movements. Now he's playing the more
00:09:19.100 subdued ditty. Constantine also analyzing Combs' behavior inside the courtroom, where he's frequently
00:09:25.980 seen whispering to his attorneys. It's almost as if he's wanting the jury to see that he is making a
00:09:33.680 comment. So even though he's moving and gesturing towards his attorney as if it's a whisper, we don't
00:09:39.860 know what he's actually saying. But the fact that he's actually carrying out that act is telling the
00:09:45.180 jury there's something in what was just said that caused him to react. So 93% of what we say is
00:09:51.800 nonverbal. And so I'm sure that the jurors are taking note, like why was he constantly always
00:09:58.320 whispering? Because he's actually very involved in his defense. And he may be telling his instructing
00:10:05.120 his attorney that what he agrees with, what he doesn't agree with, and what he wants to say,
00:10:09.220 because you have to remember, Diddy is always a controller. She concludes Combs is attempting to
00:10:13.320 project confidence and control, despite potentially facing life in prison. UK prosecutors officially
00:10:21.560 confirming charges against online influencers Andrew and brother Tristan Tate. The Crown Prosecution
00:10:27.860 Service authorizing charges of rape, human trafficking, and actual bodily harm against the brothers,
00:10:33.020 which will be prosecuted in the UK once their legal proceedings in Romania are wrapped up.
00:10:38.540 More on that case in a minute. Tristan charged on 11 counts involving one woman, Andrew facing 10
00:10:44.820 charges involving three women. Prosecutors say he's also charged with controlling prostitution for gain.
00:10:51.460 That's the UK's version of sex trafficking. Andrew also faces a civil suit in the UK brought by four
00:10:57.060 women accusing him of rape. The allegations span a timeframe between 2012 and 2015.
00:11:03.020 The brothers face a separate case in Romania involving allegations of a ring
00:11:07.380 to lure women into their control for sexual exploitation. British authorities say Andrew and
00:11:13.520 Tristan will be extradited to the UK after the conclusion of that case in Romania. Their current
00:11:19.540 whereabouts are unclear, but according to the Associated Press, they were photographed last week at a
00:11:24.480 police station in Romania, where they are required to report regularly while facing charges in that
00:11:29.840 country. The two visited Florida in February after a Romanian court permitted them to leave the
00:11:35.020 country. Governor Ron DeSantis telling them, you're not wanted here. The brothers have previously denied
00:11:40.940 all wrongdoing. Coming up, two Secret Service agents suspended after an on-duty scuffle outside of the

00:13:55.860 on the incident, which is yet another black eye for this agency, still under fire for last year's
00:14:01.320 security failures, allowing two assassination attempts against then-candidate Donald Trump.
00:14:06.440 Critics and some lawmakers citing the Secret Service's internal DEI push, including former
00:14:12.200 Secret Service director Kimberly Cheadle's stated goal of reaching 30 percent female representation
00:14:17.080 as a factor in the security breakdown. Cheadle announced her resignation 10 days after the
00:14:22.700 Butler assassination attempt amid furor over her agency's performance. Many of those same concerns now
00:14:28.820 resurfacing in relation to this latest report. The Trump administration has pledged to rid the
