00:00:52.680entries during the height of COVID. I mean, to the surprise of no one who listens to this show,
00:01:03.100Dr. Fauci was way more concerned with his fame and image than with the fate of the country.
00:01:09.820Like not since James Comey have we seen someone this narcissistic and self-aggrandizing
00:01:19.040in a public role. And I include Trump in that. I include Trump easily in that.
00:01:25.180Anthony Fauci makes Donald Trump look humble. He makes him look like a humble, insecure.
00:01:32.340I can't believe what I read in that guy's diary, Andrews. I mean, I can believe it,
00:01:39.140but it's still shocking to see how vain and pathetic he was. Let me tell you something.

00:01:54.000at Fox News, like the Washington Post did a profile on me and it was Howie Kurtz long before
00:02:02.180he had joined Fox News. He was the media reporter and he did a profile on me and I thought it was
00:02:08.420so great and I thought it was like so cool that he had done it. So I kept a copy of it. And then
00:02:14.900I don't know who the next one was to do a big profile of me, but they did it and I kept a copy
00:02:19.280of it. And then there was another one and I kept a copy of it. And then I had like a little scrapbook
00:02:23.760only wasn't a scrapbook. It was just a pile of like five art. And then, you know, what happened
00:02:28.580when we got to the sixth article, I threw them away because I understand when you, when you're
00:02:32.820first like starting to collect some attention, you're like, oh my gosh, wow. Washington post
00:02:38.100did an article on me. That's so cool. A mile marker in time. Then maybe a second. And then
00:02:43.980when you realize like you've become a public person, they all kind of blend it. It's you no
00:02:48.760longer have to hold on to them because you're like, I'm just doing my job now. This isn't like
00:02:54.400if you think you're just going to be a flash in the pan or this is just a moment where you got a
00:02:57.860little attention. I get it. You know, it's like you that's kind of cool. This guy was every day
00:03:05.820collecting this article and that front page piece and this magazine and this news anchor and a
00:03:13.160friendship is forming with Jake Tapper. Oh, and look, and everyone knows who I am. And not just
00:03:19.280that, I crossed the street and people yelled nice things at me and told me I was, it's unbelievable.
00:03:28.100It's unbelievable. I've never seen anything like this in public life. I know a ton of very famous
00:03:36.980people as a result of my job. Not one is like this. Not one. Honestly, I feel like it's Comey
00:03:44.800and Fauci. How did poor Trump get saddled with both of those guys, which he inherited both of
00:03:51.400them? All right. We'll get to that in one second. But also just a couple of headlines we're going
00:03:57.860to get to. The Democrats continue to be in free fall as another leader is accused of throwing
00:04:05.320something at a fellow dem in anger and forced to speak to HR. Plus, you got to hear President
00:04:12.160Trump's comedy set from Friday's White House Correspondents Association dinner. They got
00:04:16.460they all got back together after that attempted assassination that happened a couple of months
00:04:21.520earlier to the president's credit. He said, we are not allowing this would be assassin to cancel
00:04:27.060this event. We are coming back together. And he got up there and he made off color jokes like they
00:04:32.540always do. But CNN is very angry because these were Trump's off color jokes, you see. And so
00:04:37.100they're not allowed. Like if you do it while there's a Democrat at the lectern or a comedian
00:04:43.580hired while there's a Democrat president sitting on the dais, that's fine. OK, that's different.
00:04:49.360But when you have Donald Trump up there being off color, well, that's evil. And CNN is very,

00:07:05.500They're pointing out that the deaths that day were 9,800. So we had 9,800 people dying. And he was very focused on his Washington Post, very flattering, big front page article and his national and international fame being explosive. Your thoughts?

00:07:35.040general mark milley uh but the thing about it was that it bothered me the most that was obviously
00:07:41.480the the keystone that explains a lot of his behavior he was a pathological narcissist
00:07:47.360but did you remember what he was doing he was he had all this evidence he would get experts
00:07:54.340together and then he would say well you know eight out of ten say that it came out of the lab
00:07:58.860and then he would misrepresent that and say that it was still a pangolin and the reason he was
00:08:04.940doing that from as you followed this stream i read a lot of them is that he was invested because he
00:08:11.340had helped fund this lab through peter dasik and echo health and he and francis collins were
00:08:17.680paranoid and so they were misleading the american people and the scientific community and as part
00:08:24.320Part of that effort, Megan, he's mentioning about grants, and you got the impression, it's pretty clear, that he was taking public money and the billions of dollars and doling out money to individual researchers, not just on the science, but predicated to how well they praised him or their research supported his pangolin bat thesis.

00:08:55.360prejudice because i scott atlas is a colleague of mine but i went i remember those years when

00:09:08.280mri technology and they went after jay bodhacharya then the national institutes of health director
00:09:15.060now and they went after martin cooland called him fringe yeah and they called him fringe and
00:09:19.460then you hear this alicia is that her name griffith at the view and she was tasked she writes
00:09:26.440alissa farrah farrah farrah yeah she's tasked as if almost she's a cnn broker a booker or something
00:09:36.540she she says i will help get scott atlas and she's communicating with fauci and what his crime when
00:09:44.840you start to read about it what he was actually saying was that masks are good for health care
00:09:50.420officials but if you think it's going to stop everybody masking up it's not going to do it if
00:09:55.860you want to protect people with quarantines go out take all your resources at 65 and above
00:10:03.980but children are not going to be subject to death from this virus don't shut down the schools it'll
00:10:11.040destroy people's educate don't shut down the economy it's going to have substance abuse
00:10:16.100familial abuse it's going to be a ripple that won't get out of this economy and social life
00:10:21.880for years and they were all for the vaccines the three of them they said the vaccines are valuable
00:10:28.080but they do not stop being infected or being infectious they have a limited utility

00:10:47.740Stanford were being dismissed as fringe by Collins and Fauci they were and and and I was emails are
00:10:54.400full of his smears yeah if you disagreed with him you got smeared and then Burks was Burks was
00:10:59.780she was trying to explain and then Fauci remember was bragging that he's he almost sounds like he's
00:11:07.180seduce Trump. He's got Trump over. I've now got a very strange relationship and I'm working on
00:11:13.060Trump. And you could see they were blackening these three people who were proven correct.
00:11:19.920And by the way, they've never, in the case of Scott, the Stanford faculty censored him. And then
00:11:25.200a few months ago, they've embarrassed people, said, let's uncensor him. And they wouldn't do
00:11:30.400it. They still censored him. They're still angry at him. And I wrote three columns on his defense,
00:11:36.280and I was told not to write them anymore.
00:11:38.500And I had all these faculty members attacking me.
00:11:41.100I had the Stanford Alumni Association president call me or write me

00:24:06.160heated exchange with Ohio Representative Jim Jordan at a hearing, Fauci wrote in his diary,
00:24:15.240Dan Abash sent me a text. And then he quotes the text. This is what a sad little pathetic man he is.
00:24:21.080Who writes down their texts that they've received from people who are on television just so they
00:24:25.680could keep a note of how many famous people texted them? Dan Abash sent me a text, quote,
00:24:30.460I just watched the whole Jordan thing. Again, you're a better man than I. Well, what do you
00:24:35.860mean you're not a man as our friend wolf blitzer said to me yesterday no one would have blamed you
00:24:40.960if you said simply mr jordan go f yourself so this is dana bash who's still interviewing him
00:24:47.700on her show as though she's an objective news person texting him this behind the scenes then
00:24:52.760there's um jake tapper he writes had dinner over at jake tapper and jen tapper's home in dc terrific
00:24:59.840couple friendship building again so weird when in your life victor and you and i got to know each
00:25:06.880other were you running home putting down in your diary was i friendship building no that normal
00:25:12.820people don't behave like that unless they're users right which clearly he was then tapper
00:25:17.880the most revealing aspect of these pages writes the rand paul team or how fauci worked with
00:25:22.780compliant journalists to shape media narratives on july 26 2020 while watching the assistant
00:25:28.980secretary for health and a fellow member of the white house task force be interviewed on cnn state
00:25:32.840of the union fauci writes that the assistant secretary for health was talking bullshit about
00:25:39.200testing with jake pressing him quote i gave jake some questions to ask him um and then tapper and
00:25:46.800he were making fun of laura ingram of fox news after my laura ingram hit jake tapper texted me
00:25:52.900saying sarcastically quote hard to believe laura ingram went to dartmouth isn't it all of us alumni
00:25:58.540are very proud. What the hell? He's this is a federal official whom he should be cross-examining
00:26:05.300and pressing and cynical of and pessimistic about. That's what you get paid to do. Not chum chum. We
00:26:11.340Dartmouth alum can't stand Laura Ingram. All of it is so stomach turning. Yeah, I remember the
00:26:17.080interviews. The problem they had with Laura was that unlike the rest of them, she started
00:26:21.860uncovering who he was and then he could get angry. And then have you noticed that all of those
00:26:27.460all of those identifications of those networks were all left-wing so very quickly he understood
00:26:35.540there were people at fox independent people as well that were starting to question him in the
00:26:41.660media and so that at that point he completely dropped all of the pretense the veneer that he
00:26:49.080was disinterested and he became a hardcore political and then he began leaking about trump
00:26:54.840And they were all they weaponized the entire thing. And it was I think we forget that Joe Biden picked that up in the 2020 campaign. That was a theme, a meme of that entire that we follow the science. We follow the science. Dr. Fauci, we're going to keep him. We promise to keep him.
00:27:15.420And it was as if anybody who was for Trump or for these four scientists were somehow cracked.
00:27:22.360But Martin Kalendorf lost his job at Harvard.
00:27:25.060And as I said earlier, you walked across the Stanford campus with Scott Atlas and people that he'd known his whole life.
00:27:33.200I would be walking with him and they would turn the other way and walk in the opposite direction.
00:27:37.700You and I talked about it a few times while it was going on.
00:36:30.900And I said, you know who these people are? Do you have any idea? They have authored hundreds, thousands of peer-reviewed articles. I said, you know that if you are in neuroradiologists, there's this huge, you can't even lift it, it's so big. It's called MRI and the Brain, edited, authored by Scott Atlas.
00:36:54.620It was the definitive work on how to use the MRI, and they were all experts.
00:37:02.100They had just as impressive, if not more impressive, credentials than Fauci, and they were rendered as cranks, nuts, amateurs.
00:37:10.380They had no right to do anything, and then finally Trump started to consult with them, and they started to get a public profile.
00:37:19.740And that when you look at the Fauci files, that's when he went nuts and they organized a comprehensive effort to destroy them.
00:37:27.440And I remember Tom and Alex Berenson to Alex Berenson and Tom Cotton on X.
00:37:32.760Remember, he wrote an op ed saying this thing came from the lab and they went after Tom.
00:38:06.400Tom Graby, sorry, Tom Elliott, who's the founder of Graby, who just put together that soundbite we just played, on his sub stack, wrote about these Fauci files.
00:38:15.620He writes, across 1,141 pages by the nation's senior infectious disease official during the largest public health event in a century, here's how often certain terms appear.
00:39:07.060diary. And I remember 2020, the whole subtext behind all the files was 2020 was an election
00:39:14.360year. And Trump had been very controversial, but finally people were starting to agree that the
00:39:20.980economy was really taking off. So then they shut it all down. And then anybody who objected was
00:39:28.100a partisan, they called them, and they were following the science. And they systematically
00:39:33.220through 2020 basically blew up the deficit destroyed the economy destroyed the educational
00:39:39.700system and then they characterized that destruction as over the objections of the yahoos and then when
00:39:49.240joe biden uh was selected strangely when everybody dropped out and he was the nominee then it was
00:39:56.160that was his campaign thing i'm going to retain fauci he is the science we're not going to let
00:40:01.960these people and they were even lying about you know joe biden said no one was vaccinated 17
00:40:06.760million people were vaccinated before he even got in there and then you remember when pfizer was
00:40:11.860going to announce that the uh so-called uh elect the mrna vaccinations worked and they were going
00:40:19.200to do it before the election and there was so much pressure to delay that announcement until
00:40:24.980after the election they said well the board was not that there was no politics but it was
00:40:29.760everything was politically driven in that cycle about covid and he he was pulling the strings
00:40:36.640behind every public official he was he it was all fauci he he writes in here uh rochelle walensky
00:40:43.260remember her over at the cdc may 13th 2021 walensky calls to say she is changing the mask guidance
00:40:50.280for vaccinated americans fauci she will take my advice i'm very pleased that she listened to me
00:40:57.780Then he writes the radical right wing maniacs who blame me for the rigidity of the CDC recommendations will probably not realize at all that it was me that triggered this change on vaccines.
00:41:09.920He writes in September of twenty twenty one, the CDC's independent vaccine advisory committee.
00:41:14.680Well, this is what was happening. Voted nine to six against the booster recommendations.
00:41:18.440The White House wants Fauci text Walensky and writes in his own words that he, quote, begged her to override the vote.
00:41:25.880his entry. Alas, Rochelle, listen to me. She overruled the recommendation of this independent
00:41:32.400advisory group. He congratulates her on finally showing, quote, clear leadership. So both masks
00:41:38.840and vaccines and boosters, he was pulling the strings. And finally, this, Victor, just a couple
00:41:44.220of examples of how more examples of how much he was loving the love. When I left the White House
00:41:49.840and crossed Pennsylvania and 17th Street, several cars honked their horns and shouted,
00:41:54.860thank you out the window this is so bizarre wait let me read you a couple more um pointing out that
00:42:02.760he got invited to go on dancing with the stars and was super thrilled that he received that
00:42:08.240invitation okay great good for you that's not tough to get um then he kept the washington post
00:42:15.180column comparing a rand paul cross-examination of him to quote watching albert einstein being
00:42:22.660disputed by his dry cleaner. He then kept the Joan Baez portrait and her calling him an American
00:42:30.280hero. He kept the cookies from Joe and Jill Biden with the note, you are our hero. And Julia Roberts
00:42:37.720gasping on an Instagram live stream that he was her personal hero. Every person who ever paid him
00:42:46.560compliment is documented in here. And you know what? There was also a class element. It was all
00:42:52.720of these legacy media people who had these degrees they felt from impressive places and this sense
00:42:59.640of self. And he was right on one thing when Fauci said, I am the science. He was wrong about science,
00:43:06.120though. What he was really saying is, I am the official face of the establishment version of
00:43:11.680the science and that was true but i think he even said and you can correct me if i'm wrong
00:43:16.740i i read it uh this morning in depth but he said i think he called laura ingram or somebody wrote
00:43:24.120to him poria is that what they said pora for her laura and how did she ever get out into dartman
00:43:31.040and i mean i think i think it's that one that uh he got from tapper yeah yes but in that in that
00:43:38.600text yeah like he did call her porra ingram yeah like that was tapper did who let this person into
00:43:43.980our school and ran paul is a dry clean dry cleaning person what's wrong with a dry cleaning
00:43:50.520person they're very important people but he's he just drips this this condensation he's so
00:43:57.360condescending and he has contempt for people and it was all part of that again that picture
00:44:02.360that the yahoos had taken over washington and he had his finger in the dike and he was protecting
00:44:08.180rational people in science the whole time he was lying and he was irrational and all the science
00:44:15.440was absolutely antithetical to everything he was saying and he was saying things that he knew were
00:44:20.700wrong because he was trying to protect his own culpability and i don't know what's going to
00:44:25.280happen to him but it makes if you think about the number of people who died it even makes the whole
00:44:30.96051 experts who lied about the hunter laptop and all that stuff look minor in comparison
00:44:36.660and it was really terrible what he did and and the children like the learning loss it wasn't
00:44:43.180just new york where he got the schools closed and we know that from his own admission he i mean as
00:44:49.560i read to you moments ago you know i spoke with bill de blasio i convinced him based on what i
00:44:55.220was saying publicly in my conversation night to close the new york city schools i i i was there
00:45:00.600I mean, we were part of the school system when he did that.
00:45:04.280And my friend had her kids in those public schools for the duration.
00:45:08.600And when finally, after nearly 18 months, she attended an open the schools rally.
00:45:16.600She got called a white supremacist that.
00:45:20.860And now she is more MAGA than anyone I know.
00:45:25.120She is a MAGA hat wearing Trump, you know, supporting, getting people to vote for Trump and so is her whole family because of this stuff.
00:45:34.540But but to my point that I was trying to make, he writes, I had a similar call with Anne O'Leary, the chief of staff for Governor Gavin Newsom of California and said, based on my TV appearances today and yesterday, the governor has decided to close the schools in California as well as the bars and restaurants.
00:45:50.720He wants credit for the learning loss that he inflicted on students in two of the biggest, greatest cities in the world, which went totally over the top with it.
00:46:04.060This is Jennifer Say, who now runs XXXY Athletics, lost her job as an executive at Levi's because she was one of those California moms who said, is this really necessary?
00:46:41.720We'll be hoping and praying that he says something new that's false for which he can be indicted.
00:46:46.640But he knows that's what's going to happen.
00:46:48.380So he's going to be super careful or he's going to forget everything or he's just going to say on the grounds of, you know, Fifth Amendment, I choose not to say anything if he thinks he's on quicksand.
00:46:56.700And it will be left biting the heels of our hands again because he's a slippery snake of a man.
00:47:05.940he is and the people but the the thing that will save him is there's 50 or 60 marquee journalists

00:47:58.320he was there so long and he knew how to play politics and ingratiate himself with the
00:48:03.040presidents and he knew the stakes for him he did and he was stabbing trump in the back all the time
00:48:07.760and yet he did persuade trump to do all these things and then he was saying we were developing
00:48:13.060this strange relationship i'm working on it but he was actually trashing trump to all of his media
00:48:19.140people and he was trying to get rid of anybody in the white house that was giving uh counter advice
00:48:26.320and it worked and um he did a lot of damage and um i don't it just it's just a cautionary tale
00:48:36.520that when somebody can't address the argument and can't address uh rational objections and
00:48:43.740then has to go back to titles and media and reputation you know it's it's toxic and that's
00:48:50.140what he did and you know that the last thing they didn't even believe it you remember when all this
00:48:55.380was going on gavin was showing up at the french laundry with his with his lobby friends without
00:49:00.900mask he went down to la at a sporting event without a mask nancy pelosi was going to get
00:49:05.860her hair done supposedly to a store to a hairdresser it was shut down but she opened just
00:49:12.540up for nancy and we had even fauci i think he was at a baseball game he said you should wear
00:49:17.320mask all the time and he you can see and there's nobody around him and he has his mask off they
00:49:22.160didn't even believe it nobody believed then he will never believe our public health officials
00:49:26.660again i'm sorry we just won't after this this is so devastating to faith in public officials never
00:49:32.140mind public health officials we just won't like so many people accepted this not unquestioningly
00:49:39.500but ultimately accepted it because you know it's to some extent it was like you were forced to to
00:49:43.680live in new york city good luck going out to a restaurant if you didn't have your vaccine card
00:49:47.100with proof of all your vaccines and so on.
00:49:49.880I just think we are never going to accept
00:49:52.940the word of officials in public health again.
00:50:14.880You're going and trying to shut down the schools when the evidence, the scientific proof shows that somebody 5 to 15 is likely to have a different immune response and can weather the virus without shutting down the entire schools.
00:50:30.220And unfortunately, you're taking away resources from people 65 and older that we need to concentrate who will die.

00:56:29.120You know, I know the founder of the show, Dirty Jobs, and he spent his whole adult life with guys who are not afraid to to live life with a little risk, whether, you know, it's an electrician who's up in the crane working on the lines above us all like could get electrocuted at any minute.
00:56:45.940or those construction guys who are dealing with heavy equipment in the middle of the road and
00:56:50.700very dangerous situations. These guys have courage and they have to exercise it literally every day
00:56:56.120just to earn a paycheck, which is the opposite of most journalists. I remember that. I had a
00:57:02.020two-year hiatus from Stanford University's Hoover. You couldn't go on campus at Stanford.
00:57:06.600If you went on campus, Megan, and they had your ping, then you were given a text message because
00:57:13.320you weren't supposed to even be to your office. I'm not talking about a public meeting. I'm saying
00:57:17.260you wanted to go on office to get a book. You were not allowed to go on campus. And then if you
00:57:22.080were caught with your ping, then you were given a text message that you had a certain amount of
00:57:27.700time to go to a kiosk and take a test immediately. And they were tracking you. They were tracking
00:57:33.440you. And I remember being on the farm here and that it was kind of strange because all within a
00:57:39.420week the washer and dryer went out and the um the oven went out and i got a catalog and here came
00:57:47.520these people from home depot they were working class people and i said are you guys locked down
00:57:53.900they said no we're we go into everybody's house every single day we and i said if we didn't have
00:57:59.420people like you what would happen so for all the lockdown it was mostly the professional classes
00:58:04.720and the teachers and lawyers and courtroom and media but there was the working class they were
00:58:12.260still fixing pipes and wiring and delivering stuff to people and they were risking according
00:58:18.060to Fauci they they were interacting with the public and so he said on the one hand we can't
00:58:23.860we can't we have to shut down everything we have to social distance asterisk but certain classes

President Trump's speech at the White House Correspondents Dinner swerved between jokes that fell flat.
