00:00:30.000Good morning, everyone. I'm Megan Kelly. It's Monday, November 2nd, 2026. And this is your
00:00:38.320AM update. I am endorsing Mike Rogers for the United States Senate today. A stunning political
00:00:46.000twist in Michigan as Democrat Congresswoman Haley Stevens endorses Republican Mike Rogers
00:00:52.200over her own party's Senate nominee, Abdul El-Sayed, after a weekend of drama.
00:00:58.740Florida Republicans growing nervous over early voting turnout as the governor's race
00:01:03.820reportedly tightens ahead of Tuesday's election. Israel's election ending without a clear winner
00:01:09.540as Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's chief rival looks to potentially get creative with
00:01:15.020forming a new government. I thought it was terrible. I told her and I said I don't want
00:01:19.480her paid. And President Trump publicly blasting his former attorney Alina Haba over a $50 million
00:01:26.400dollar deal for her involving the family of a billionaire he pardoned. All that and more
00:01:32.980coming up in just a moment on your AM update. AI is changing everything, including how criminals
00:01:42.640steal. They are targeting something most Americans don't even realize is vulnerable,
00:01:47.480the thousands of dollars in equity in your home. A scammer can use AI to craft the perfect document
00:01:53.700that they file with the county, transferring your home into their name, and then use your

00:02:58.000Senate race. Democrat Congresswoman Haley Stevens endorsing Republican Mike Rogers over her own
00:03:04.520party's nominee, Abdul El-Sayed, just two days before the midterm elections. Stevens, who0.92
00:03:10.620narrowly lost to El-Sayed in August's Democrat primary, announcing her decision yesterday morning
00:03:16.640following an increasingly bitter dispute over Israel, anti-Semitism, and her former
00:03:21.880Rivals campaign. The feud dating back to their bitter Democrat primary, which exposed deep
00:03:27.480divisions over Israel, corporate campaign spending, and the direction of the party.
00:03:32.400Stevens, a more moderate Democrat and staunch supporter of Israel, benefiting from tens of
00:03:38.080millions of dollars in outside support from groups affiliated with AIPAC, while El-Sayed,
00:03:43.460a progressive backed by Senator Bernie Sanders, campaigned on ending U.S. military assistance
00:03:48.800to Israel. El-Sayed portraying Stevens as beholden to corporate donors and the pro-Israel
00:03:54.460lobby, El-Sayed ultimately defeating Stevens by less than one percentage point. Although
00:04:00.180Stevens initially endorsed El-Sayed following her defeat, the two never appeared together
00:04:05.380beyond a post-primary unity breakfast. The dispute resurfacing last week over a political
00:04:11.280ad from an outside group supporting El-Sayed. The ad featuring a conversation between two
00:04:17.180grocery shoppers, one claiming they cannot afford to buy eggs because they need to set
00:04:21.960aside money for killing Palestinians, a reference to U.S. military aid to Israel.
00:04:28.260Stevens condemning the ad as anti-Semitic and demanding that El-Sayed publicly denounce
00:04:33.080its message. Her fiancé, Jason Turkish, going a step further, announcing he would vote for
00:04:38.780Mike Rogers because of the ad. Democrat representatives Jim Clyburn and Debbie Dingell
00:04:44.000attempting to ease tensions between the former rivals, arranging for Stevens and El-Sayed to
00:04:49.020appear together at a Detroit church service yesterday in a show of party unity. Stevens
00:04:54.760announcing Friday that she would attend the service alongside El-Sayed, though claiming El-Sayed
00:04:59.820planned to condemn the ad and apologize for comments he had made about Israel. El-Sayed
00:05:06.840firing back Friday, accusing Stevens of attempting to re-litigate their August primary rather than
00:05:12.160focusing on defeating Rogers. The dispute escalating further Friday when El-Sayed's
00:05:17.200campaign reportedly asked Stevens to stay away from its remaining events ahead of Tuesday's
00:05:22.420election, effectively canceling their planned appearance together. Stevens responding yesterday
00:05:27.700morning by appearing alongside Mike Rogers at a different Detroit church before announcing her
00:05:33.520endorsement of the Republican in a video posted to social media.
00:05:38.320Hey, Michigan, as you may have seen, our Democratic nominee for U.S. Senate, Abdul,
00:05:43.640said that I was no longer welcome in his campaign and that I should stay away.1.00
00:05:49.380And he's right. And that's why I am endorsing Mike Rogers for the United States Senate
00:05:56.580today. I don't belong in Abdul's campaign. I do not stand with Hassan Piker.1.00
00:06:03.520who gets trafficked on our college campuses, a dear friend of mine earlier today was saying
00:06:10.960that education is on the ballot. And she's absolutely right. And what our students see,
00:06:16.440what our children see, and who we are as Michiganders is not hate and is not
00:06:24.320what we are getting out from our Democratic nominee right now.
00:06:28.600The congresswoman later joining Rogers for a news conference where the Republican welcomed
00:06:33.360the unexpected endorsement from his former congressional colleague.
00:06:37.360Let me just say I'm honored to have Haley Stevens' support today. I'm honored to have
00:06:42.020earned that vote. We talked about America, what was better for Americans, what was better for
00:06:47.440the future of our state by bringing people together. Asked yesterday about Stevens'
00:06:53.300endorsement, El-Sayed dismissing the controversy. At the end of the day,
00:06:57.960I actually don't think about Haley Stevens. I think about the, like I said, the 9 million
00:07:03.260999,998 people who are not those two because you know what i'm just less interested in the politics
00:07:12.300of it all than i am in the policy of it all and so look if you're somebody who believes that we
00:07:17.740ought to have more rights not less then i would think you would support me in this race if you
00:07:21.820are somebody who believes that we should stand up to hate and you have watched this last campaign
00:07:27.580i think we probably would not want to support mike rogers and donald trump and jd vance
00:07:31.820The endorsement triggering immediate fallout within Stevens' own congressional office.
00:07:37.200Chief of Staff Justin German, along with multiple other staffers, announcing his resignation.
00:07:43.440Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer condemning the endorsement as a, quote, despicable betrayal.
00:07:48.980Michigan Democrat State Senator Mallory McMorrow, and previously a primary opponent of both
00:07:54.940El-Sayed and Stevens, joining the backlash on MS Now.
00:07:58.900It is just a sad, desperate attempt to be relevant. To have Haley abandon Michiganders
00:08:08.440and her constituents is deeply, deeply sad. Congresswoman Stevens is not on Tuesday's
00:08:15.680ballot, having given up her House seat to run for Senate, and she will leave Congress when
00:08:20.380her term expires in January. The latest Real Clear polling average showing El-Sayed leading
00:08:25.500Rodgers by 3.9 points, 49.3 to 45.4 percent as voters prepare to head to the polls tomorrow.
00:08:35.140Growing anxiety among Florida Republicans heading into Tuesday's midterm elections as
00:08:40.000unexpectedly weak early voting turnout raises concerns about the governor's race in a state
00:08:45.340the GOP once expected to win comfortably. Axios reporting Republican officials are increasingly
00:08:50.920nervous about Congressman Byron Donalds' race against Democrat David Jolly, despite the party
00:08:56.760holding a voter registration advantage of approximately 1.5 million Floridians. As of
00:09:02.940yesterday morning, registered Republicans accounting for just three percentage points
00:09:07.300more early ballots than Democrats, far below the party's 11-point advantage in voter registration.
00:09:14.280The numbers prompting warnings from Republican Governor Ron DeSantis, who acknowledged last week
00:09:19.180that turnout was weaker than he had hoped. Mr. DeSantis posting to X, quote, Republicans are
00:09:24.500underperforming in Polk County. We have a voter registration advantage of 60,000 in that county,
00:09:30.680and it went R plus 30 four years ago. According to Axios, Republican turnout is particularly weak
00:09:37.540in rural North Florida and the Panhandle, including 17 counties Congressman Donald's
00:09:43.480lost during the Republican primary. Democrats showing stronger participation among younger
00:09:49.140voters, as 25 percent of registered Dems under 30 have already cast ballots, compared with just
00:09:55.2209 percent of Republicans in the same age group. The early numbers raising questions about whether
00:10:00.540Florida Republicans can count on their traditional Election Day advantage. According to Axios,
00:10:06.340internal estimates from both parties suggest Donald's could enter Tuesday trailing by as many
00:10:11.520as 500,000 votes, potentially requiring him to win election day ballots by a two-to-one margin
00:10:17.920to overcome the deficit. Republican strategists pushing back on the concerns, arguing that many
00:10:24.020of their most dependable voters are simply waiting until Tuesday to cast their ballots.
00:10:28.660Donald's maintaining a lead in statewide polling, with the latest real-clear politics average
00:10:32.960putting him at 48.6 percent to Jolly's 44 percent, an advantage of 4.6 points.
00:10:39.760prediction markets reflecting a considerably more competitive race than Republicans anticipated
00:10:44.620earlier this year. Just last week, Calci giving Donalds an 82% chance of winning the governorship,
00:10:50.780compared with just 18% for Jolly, that advantage narrowing substantially in the past week
00:10:56.220as early vote totals began emerging and as election day approaches, with Calci traders
00:11:01.880driving that down to Donalds at just 63% and Jolly at 37% as of last night.
00:11:09.040Our sponsor, Kalshi, reflects what traders actually believe.

00:11:23.840Republicans expressing greater confidence in Florida's Senate race,
00:11:27.480where incumbent Ashley Moody is defending the seat vacated by Marco Rubio
00:11:32.360following his appointment as President Trump's Secretary of State.
00:11:36.140Senator Moody, who was appointed by Governor DeSantis in January of last year,
00:11:40.320is seeking to complete the final two years of Rubio's term.
00:11:44.060The senator facing Democrat State Representative Angie Nixon,
00:11:47.320a progressive lawmaker who joined the Democratic Socialists of America earlier this year.
00:11:52.900Nixon facing questions about her campaign's fundraising struggles,
00:11:56.620suggesting in an interview with Politico last week that
00:11:59.380concerns about racism among Florida voters are discouraging potential donors.
00:12:04.100It may be playing a role in a sense that people are saying, oh, I don't think she can win in the South because people are so racist.
00:12:12.920And like, that is the race, like that is the level of it, right?
00:12:16.400Like, I don't think it's something nefarious or that people are trying to like that donors, Democratic donors are like racist towards me.
00:12:26.060I would say it's that they think that the state is racist and they're just hesitant to like donate because of it.
00:12:32.480The latest RealClearPolitics polling average giving Moody a 6.3-point advantage over Nixon, 49.7% to 43.4.
00:12:42.240Kalshi traders expressing even greater confidence in Senator Moody's re-election prospects, giving her an 89% chance of winning compared with just 11% for Nixon.
00:12:53.320Coming up, Israel's election leaving the country's next government in limbo.
00:12:58.040And what happens next could remake the country's political landscape.
00:13:01.260and President Trump going public with his outrage over former attorney Alina Haba's
00:13:06.780$50 million contract with the family of a billionaire, Mr. Trump later pardoned.

00:13:24.380They work by lowering blood sugar and reducing appetite. But what if you are looking to lose

00:13:33.760those intense side effects. That's why doctors created a weight loss supplement called Lean,
00:13:39.040and the results could be remarkable. Lean says the studied ingredients in their product have

00:14:18.520clear winner. Now, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and his chief rival, Gadi Eisenkot,
00:14:24.140begin competing for the support needed to form the country's next government.
00:14:28.440The final vote count released Friday showing Netanyahu's coalition winning 53 seats
00:14:33.220in Israel's 120-member parliament, compared to 48 for Eisenkot's opposition alliance,
00:14:40.180both falling short of the 61 seats needed for a majority, giving two Arab-led parties,
00:14:46.060which won a combined 19 seats, a potentially decisive role in forming the next government.
00:14:52.700France 24 International Affairs editor Philip Turrell offering several explanations for
00:14:58.100Netanyahu's declining support. Why did neither of the main blocs manage to get a majority here?
00:15:04.540Well, I think if you look at the premiership of Benjamin Netanyahu, there is definite fatigue
00:15:12.160in Israel about the fact that he's been in the job for almost 30 years. Many young Israelis,
00:15:17.120they've only ever known Benjamin Netanyahu, and they would like a change. The second point is
00:15:22.700that he's refused all the way down the line since the attacks of October the 7th to create a
00:15:27.080commission of inquiry into the attacks which came from the Gaza Strip. Many say he's trying to cover
00:15:33.360up his own responsibility. There's also, of course, the fact that for many Israelis, they feel that
00:15:39.240Israel's only been in a permanent situation of war for too long, the war in Gaza, the war in
00:15:45.000Lebanon, the war in Iran. They want to change. They want to come back to peace. They're also
00:15:48.680worried about the way Israel is perceived by other countries around the world. All of that
00:15:52.980has played against Benjamin Netanyahu. Now, the rival to Netanyahu is beginning his push to
00:15:59.060establish a government. Eisenkot issuing a statement Saturday outlining his conditions
00:16:04.020for potential coalition partners. Those conditions including recognition of Israel as a Jewish state,
00:16:11.140support for mandatory national service, and a commitment to eliminating Hamas's control over
00:16:16.640Gaza. Eisenkot has signaled he is willing to work with the Arab parties in Israel, which won a
00:16:22.400record-breaking 19 seats themselves. But efforts to build a coalition already facing obstacles,
00:16:28.100as Eisenkot needs the support of those parties to secure a majority, but some members of his
00:16:32.740own alliance, refused to form a government with them. Further complicating negotiations,
00:16:38.100a leader of the Arab Joint List Party refusing to recognize Hamas as a terrorist organization,
00:16:44.180one of Eisencott's conditions for joining his government. The political deadlock setting the
00:16:49.060stage for a potentially lengthy process to determine who will lead Israel. Under Israeli
00:16:54.440law, the official election results will be presented to President Isaac Herzog on Wednesday
00:16:59.840when he begins consultations with party leaders before selecting a candidate to attempt to form
00:17:05.660the next government. That candidate will have 28 days to negotiate a governing coalition
00:17:11.180with the possibility of a two-week extension. If that still fails, a new election could be coming.
00:17:17.520Netanyahu remains prime minister until a new government is formed,
00:17:20.920a process that, according to the Israel Democracy Institute, typically takes about 20 to 100 days.
00:17:27.260President Donald Trump publicly blasting his former personal attorney Alina Haba Mildon
00:17:34.720over a contract worth more than $50 million involving the family of a Venezuelan billionaire
00:17:40.800who subsequently received a presidential pardon. Speaking to reporters at his Mar-a-Lago Halloween
00:17:47.340party Saturday night, President Trump expressing outrage over the arrangement first detailed in a
00:17:52.340New York Times investigation. According to the Times, HABA signing a four-year contract in
00:17:58.780October 2025 to serve as general counsel for Concord Partners, a company only recently
00:18:06.200established by the daughter of Venezuelan banker Julio Herrera Velotini. The agreement
00:18:12.740guaranteeing HABA $10 million annually plus bonuses, bringing the total compensation to
00:18:19.240more than $50 million over four years, an extraordinary sum by any standard.
00:18:26.340Haba signing the contract while serving as acting U.S. attorney in New Jersey,
00:18:30.800later beginning work for the Herrera family on January 1st, while still holding an advisory
00:18:36.060position at the Justice Department. Just two weeks later, on January 15th, Mr. Trump granting
00:18:43.160Habba's boss's father, Herrera, a full presidential pardon. The billionaire previously
00:18:49.960facing felony bribery charges before reaching a plea agreement in August 2025, ultimately pleading
00:18:56.780guilty to a misdemeanor campaign finance violation that now has been erased. Habba denying any
00:19:03.220connection between her employment and the pardon, maintaining that she never received payment to
00:19:08.100secure clemency and played no role in obtaining it. The Times reporting that the company employing
00:19:14.260her has virtually no public presence. Its business activities remain unclear, even to some
00:19:20.320individuals connected to the Herrera family's broader business operations. The financial
00:19:25.660arrangement apparently infuriating President Trump. The Times reporting Thursday that the
00:19:30.560president privately complained to aides and allies about the size of the contract. According to
00:19:37.020multiple people familiar with those conversations, President Trump suggesting Habba should contribute
00:19:41.900a portion of the money to his future presidential library or another Trump-affiliated organization,
00:19:48.060a reporter asking President Trump about the contract Saturday at Mar-a-Lago,
00:19:51.980and the president did not hold back. I thought it was terrible. I told her and I said I don't
00:19:57.200want her paid. I thought we had somebody speak to the people that did it, and she used her0.94
00:20:04.240relationship to do that. And it was far too much. You know, it's one thing for a person to get paid
00:20:09.940legal fees or whatever. She's a lawyer. I thought it was totally obnoxious and outrageous. And1.00
00:20:16.420it's not acceptable. Not acceptable at all. Did you expect her to make a donation to the library?
00:20:21.860Not her. I expect maybe the people, I don't know if anybody wants to make it,
00:20:26.920but it's unacceptable what she did. Unacceptable.
00:20:30.840The Times reporting Habba has declined to answer questions about her conversation with the president
00:20:36.800or whether she intends to contribute any money to his presidential library.
00:20:41.380The Herrera family also declining to comment on whether the arrangement will continue,
00:20:46.480leaving the fate of Habba's more than $50 million alleged bribe, I mean, contract uncertain.
