00:01:20.100 Her car, her keys, everything was at home.

00:02:56.500 Democratic candidate James Tallarico coming under fresh scrutiny. New reporting putting

00:03:01.440 a spotlight on Tallarico's church and the various progressive, and in many cases,

00:03:06.520 controversial causes it supports. The Daily Wire uncovering St. Andrew's Presbyterian Church

00:03:12.780 in Austin, directs a portion of its budget annually to, quote, support community organizations that

00:03:18.900 share our vision and goals for the world, including abortion provider Planned Parenthood,

00:03:25.180 and also a project called Field of Hope, which directs funds to groups like the Lilith Fund

00:03:30.780 and Jane's Due Process, both of which pay to help facilitate out-of-state travel for women,

00:03:36.540 many of whom are minors, to get abortions. Tallarico previously speaking about how his

00:03:42.160 support for the issue is grounded in the biblical account of an angel visiting the Virgin Mary

00:03:47.440 and telling her that she would miraculously conceive and give birth to Jesus Christ,

00:03:52.860 which Tallarico suggests means Mary became pregnant by consent, intimating that therefore

00:03:58.740 the pro-choice position is biblical. Tallarico often blending politics with religion both on

00:04:05.240 the campaign trail and in St. Andrew's Church, where he is a seminarian. In a 2025 Easter sermon,

00:04:12.160 Tallarico comparing Jesus Christ to a deported immigrant and a, quote, kidnapped protester.

00:04:18.460 Christ said what we do for the least of these, we do for him. So where is Christ today? Christ

00:04:24.520 is the immigrant deported without due process. Christ is the senior deprived of their social 1.00

00:04:32.000 security benefits. Christ is the protester kidnapped in an unmarked vehicle by plainclothes 0.83

00:04:38.420 officers. Christ is the student sitting in an overcrowded classroom in a defunded school.

00:04:45.720 Tallarico's congregation also backing a group called Out Youth Austin, which offers a summer

00:04:51.400 camp for kids between the ages of 11 and 17 who identify as gay or transgender. The organization

00:04:58.500 saying that recent unspecified, quote, political actions in Texas have, quote, caused distress for,

00:05:04.780 quote, trans and non-binary youth, and points to a number of radical groups that support

00:05:09.880 transgender medical procedures on children. Tallarico advocating for so-called trans kids

00:05:15.820 over the course of his career. In 2021, the Democrat making his now infamous comments about

00:05:21.200 God being non-binary while speaking on the Texas statehouse floor. In one video posted to the

00:05:27.940 church's YouTube channel in September 2024, Tallarico is seen in front of a rainbow curtain

00:05:34.160 speaking about the church's embrace of same-sex marriage and more.

00:05:38.780 This church showed me what democracy looks like.

00:05:42.780 This church showed me what that commitment looks like. 0.60

00:05:46.300 In the 1990s, this church risked everything to bless same-sex marriages.

00:05:52.660 In the 2000s, this church sparked controversy by allowing an atheist to join our congregation.

00:05:59.420 As we speak, this church is providing sanctuary to a mother and son seeking asylum from violence in Guatemala.

00:06:06.780 In addition to delivering sermons at St. Andrews, Tallarico was also baptized there as a toddler.

00:06:12.600 Today, children have access to a library stocked with, quote, banned books,

00:06:16.540 including titles that address sexuality, gender identity, and LGBTQ experiences.

00:06:22.720 Also making headlines is Tallarico's mysterious girlfriend,

00:06:26.380 revealed by Texas outlet Current Revolt as 30-year-old Brianna Menard.

00:06:32.180 Menard, who now works as a lobbyist for the Texas Medical Association,

00:06:36.360 formerly working as chief of staff in Tallarico's Texas house office. 0.86

00:06:40.560 The New York Post discovering she is a self-described, quote,

00:06:43.020 committed vegan who enjoys dancing at an Austin gay bar known as Cheer Up Charlie's

00:06:48.280 and also snuggling with her, quote, perfect cat Zia.

00:06:53.500 Tallarico recently describing Menard as his, quote, rock,

00:06:56.960 crediting her with helping him navigate the demands of a high-profile Senate campaign

00:07:00.660 without identifying her by name.

00:07:03.380 With November inching closer, new polling showing Tallarico with a slight edge in Texas.

00:07:08.620 The latest survey from Texas Public Opinion Research

00:07:11.000 showing him leading Republican State Attorney General Ken Paxton by three points,

00:07:15.720 47 to 44 percent among likely voters. The margin of error for the poll is plus or minus 2.8 points.

00:07:23.600 That poll being conducted days after Paxton defeated longtime Senator John Cornyn in the

00:07:28.460 GOP primary last week, also finding some Cornyn supporters remain undecided or are considering

00:07:34.560 backing Tallarico in November. In the Real Clear Politics polling average, Tallarico holding a

00:07:39.720 slight 1.5-point lead, although those polls contain data going back to January. The general

00:07:46.320 election in this hotly contested race is November 3rd. When you hear the word debugging from a tech

00:07:53.720 company, you probably think of software, not physical bugs. But Google's parent company,

00:07:59.280 Alphabet, has something completely different in mind. The tech giant seeking federal approval to

00:08:05.020 release up to 32 million mosquitoes in Florida and California over a two-year period as part of its

00:08:12.040 DEBUG program, the effort hoping to curb the spread of diseases like dengue fever,

00:08:18.360 Zika, and chikungunya, the plan relying on male mosquitoes infected with a naturally occurring

00:08:24.760 bacteria called Wolbachia. Scientists saying these males cannot produce viable offspring with

00:08:31.000 wild females, causing mosquito populations to decline over time. Google saying the approach

00:08:36.760 offers an alternative to pesticides, which can lose effectiveness and may pose environmental

00:08:42.540 concerns. Because only female mosquitoes bite, who knew? Researchers say the released mosquitoes 0.58

00:08:49.100 would not spread disease among humans. Residents in Florida with mixed reaction on 10 Tampa Bay

00:08:55.440 News. Mosquitoes are the number one cause of death of humans. I mean, why not? We'll help

00:09:00.420 think he's been raised. I think it's interesting. I'm not sure about whether I want it in my backyard

00:09:04.660 because there could be a lot of things that go wrong. You know, when you make a commitment like

00:09:07.520 that, you really can't step back from it. If it's proven to work and it's going to keep them from

00:09:12.060 breeding more, I guess it could work. Meanwhile, EPA Administrator Lee Zeldin last week taking to

00:09:17.840 social media to refute claims that his agency had authorized the release of mosquitoes. Zeldin

00:09:23.220 writing on X, quote, entirely fake news. At no point since President Trump was sworn back into

00:09:28.480 office has the Trump EPA authorized the release of any genetically modified mosquitoes into Florida

00:09:34.400 or anywhere else for that matter. The EPA currently reviewing Google's proposal and

00:09:39.600 accepting public comment before making a final decision. Google's debug project was originally

00:09:45.380 part of Google's moonshot factory programs aimed at solving some of the world's most pressing

00:09:50.980 problems. Among the technologies to come from this program, Google's self-driving cars. Given

00:09:57.120 the distrust many Americans have for big tech and its growing intrusions into American life,

00:10:03.020 many expressing concerns with letting Google send insects into our backyards. Filmmaker and

00:10:09.180 heritage fellow Robbie Starbuck writing on X, quote, I want everyone to stop and ask what

00:10:14.300 interest Google has in releasing mosquitoes. They're a tech company, not an environmental

00:10:19.460 group, not a nonprofit, not a government, a tech company. Just like Bill Gates, I don't want them

00:10:25.120 anywhere near our wildlife or nature. Coming up, negotiations with Iran coming to a complete 0.99

00:10:32.740 standstill as President Trump says he, quote, couldn't care less if they end. And New Mexico

00:10:38.180 state police say the remains of a missing Los Alamos National Laboratory employee

00:10:43.000 have been found nearly one year after she went missing.

00:10:46.500 think about this in 2006 20 000 bucks equaled roughly 33 ounces of gold at spot price at today's

00:11:01.820 prices those 33 ounces would be worth about 165 000 smart americans should consider diversifying

00:11:52.020 President Donald Trump delivering mixed messages yesterday about the future of U.S.-Iran nuclear

00:11:57.540 negotiations, saying he would not be concerned if the talks collapsed, while later insisting

00:12:02.740 they remain on track. Mr. Trump telling CNBC in a phone interview that he, quote,

00:12:07.960 couldn't care less if negotiations with Iran end, saying, quote, if they're over, they're over.

00:12:12.720 The president going on, saying he thought, quote, they started to get very boring.

00:12:17.820 The president's comments coming after reports that Iran is suspending indirect communications

00:12:22.580 with Washington following renewed tensions between Israel and Hezbollah in Lebanon.

00:12:28.360 President Trump holding a phone call with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu yesterday,

00:12:33.140 which went, well, we report, you decide. President Trump writing on True Social, quote,

00:12:38.820 I had a very productive call with Prime Minister Bibi Netanyahu of Israel, and there will be no

00:12:44.160 troops going to Beirut, and any troops that are on their way have already been turned back.

00:12:49.740 Likewise, through highly placed representatives, I had a very good call with Hezbollah, and they

00:12:55.100 agreed that all shooting will stop, that Israel will not attack them, and they will not attack

00:13:00.360 Israel. Prime Minister Netanyahu countering with his own statement, writing on X, quote,

00:13:05.580 I spoke with President Trump and told him that if Hezbollah does not cease attacking our cities

00:13:11.260 and citizens, Israel will attack terror targets in Beirut. This stance of ours remains unchanged.

00:13:18.220 In parallel, the IDF will continue to operate as planned in southern Lebanon.

00:13:23.400 Axios reporting the phone call between President Trump and the Israeli prime minister got

00:13:27.300 quite heated. A U.S. official familiar with the conversation telling the outlet,

00:13:31.620 Mr. Trump lashing out at Mr. Netanyahu, telling the Israeli leader, quote, 0.98

00:13:36.860 you're effing crazy, and later reportedly telling him, quote, you'd be in prison if it weren't for 0.98

00:13:41.860 me. I'm saving your ass. Everybody hates you now. Everybody hates Israel because of this. 1.00

00:13:48.580 Meanwhile, President Trump insisting that talks with Iran are still moving forward,

00:13:52.820 despite reports of a diplomatic freeze and his, quote, boredom with them. Writing on True Social,

00:13:58.320 talks are continuing at a rapid pace with the Islamic Republic of Iran.

00:14:04.060 Iranian-linked media suggesting Tehran could seek to completely close

00:14:07.880 the already severely restricted Strait of Hormuz.

00:14:11.700 The reports briefly rattling markets,

00:14:14.040 with oil prices climbing on fears of a wider regional conflict

00:14:17.100 and further potential disruptions to global supplies.

00:14:22.200 Nearly a year after vanishing without a trace,

00:14:25.500 New Mexico State Police say the remains of Melissa Casillas have been found.

00:14:30.920 Casillas, a longtime employee at Los Alamos National Laboratory, or LANL, among a growing

00:14:37.320 number of employees connected to nuclear research, national laboratories, or advanced space and

00:14:42.740 propulsion work, who have died or disappeared since 2022. LANL has long been tied to nuclear

00:14:50.000 weapons research. Police say 54-year-old Casillas, who disappeared in June of 2025,

00:14:56.400 was found by a hiker in a remote area of Carson National Forest, roughly six miles from where

00:15:02.560 Casillas was last seen, walking alone along a state highway. Investigators say a handgun also

00:15:09.360 discovered nearby, though the cause of death remains unknown as we await a determination

00:15:14.240 from the state medical investigator. Her family issuing the following statement,

00:15:18.700 quote, we confirm that the remains found in Rio Chiquito are Melissa. There will be more

00:15:24.380 information to come, but what we can tell you now is she was located in an area previously searched.

00:15:30.020 This is a lot to process. Our hearts are heavy and we fully intend to continue to pursue answers

00:15:35.500 for justice. Casillas' disappearance baffling both investigators and her family, her niece

00:15:42.020 detailing her behavior to local outlet KOAT last year. At some point, she took a break

00:15:47.820 and picked up Subway and dropped it off for her daughter, my cousin, Sierra,

00:15:53.500 at the coffee shop where she works in the Taos Plaza area.

00:15:57.380 My cousin got home from work and found all of Melissa's belongings at home.

00:16:03.520 Her purse, her phones, her car, her keys, everything was at home.

00:16:09.580 Her phones were factory reset.

00:16:11.940 Casillas' sister explaining how uncharacteristic her disappearance was.

00:16:16.340 All of her friends keep telling us this is not like her. First of all, she wouldn't leave her

00:16:22.640 daughter. Absolutely. She loves, adores her daughter. She would not leave her.

00:16:27.960 Of the at least 11 government employees or scientists found dead or missing since 2022,

00:16:34.980 certain cases drawing extra scrutiny due to overlapping details. Many of them, like Casillas,

00:16:40.840 based in New Mexico, and, like Casillas, seen leaving their homes on foot with little more

00:16:47.480 than a handgun. Anthony Chavez, who along with Casillas was connected to the LANL,

00:16:54.080 disappearing in May of last year after also walking away from his home. In August of last year,

00:17:00.260 48-year-old Stephen Garcia, a contractor working at an Albuquerque facility producing components

00:17:05.600 for nuclear weapons, vanishing after leaving his home on foot. And earlier this year, retired Air

00:17:12.160 Force Major General William Neal McCasland, a former head of the Air Force Research Laboratory,

00:17:17.800 disappearing from his Albuquerque home, reportedly also leaving on foot with only a handgun.

00:17:24.180 These cases and more garnering lots of attention from the public and even drawing the attention of

00:17:29.040 government officials, including President Trump, who recently weighed in to reporters outside the

00:17:34.600 White House. The FBI, the Department of Energy, and the Department of War announcing in April

00:17:59.500 they are now jointly investigating the cases and any connections they may have.
