00:00:00.500Welcome to The Megyn Kelly Show, live on Sirius XM Channel 111 every weekday at New East.
00:00:12.180Hey everyone, I'm Megyn Kelly. Welcome to The Megyn Kelly Show.
00:00:15.760Well, Republicans are reeling after a bruising midterm election and the blame game is already underway.
00:00:21.980Meanwhile, the fallout may mean changes in the Trump administration.
00:00:25.120CBS News reporting Secretary of War Pete Hegseth could be on the chopping block.
00:00:28.980with one source telling the network that Florida Governor Ron DeSantis is being floated
00:00:33.400as a possible replacement. I don't know that he would even want that job. He seems to be
00:00:38.760trying to position himself as an outsider who can take on some of the boneheaded moves by
00:00:44.320the administration. Why would he want to join it? I mean, unless he has no presidential aspirations
00:00:49.000whatsoever. The post-election shakeup in Washington may just be getting started.
00:00:54.460Here with me today is Texas's own Jesse Kelly. He is the host of The Jesse Kelly Show, which you can find each weeknight on the Megyn Kelly channel, Sirius XM 111.
00:01:05.240You might already own a firearm, but what if you could start with less lethal methods to avoid the financial and mental repercussions of pulling the trigger?
00:01:13.740This is where Burna comes in. That's B-Y-R-N-A. Burna's less lethal launchers are equipped with tear gas and kinetic ammo and designed to incapacitate an attacker for up to 40 minutes. And Burna is excited to introduce the all new compact launcher. It is sleek, slim, and it hits like a sledgehammer. The same size as a smartphone, allowing women to conceal carry everywhere comfortably and with confidence. It fires at 400 feet per second. That's a lot of power to stop aggressors in their tracks.
00:01:43.200I was just looking at my pal Britt, her online recommendations for, like, if the apocalypse comes, what should you use?
00:01:53.560And would you know, Britt Mayer, she is recommending the Burna.
00:01:57.600Their pistols are American-made and hand-assembled in Fort Wayne, Indiana, with over 80% of the components in the compact launcher being sourced in the USA.
00:02:06.100Burna's legal in all 50 states, requires no background checks, and can be shipped directly to your door.
00:02:10.120And it's trusted by hundreds of police departments, too.
00:02:12.480Try before you buy. Visit Byrna.com to find a Byrna dealer partner near you. That's B-Y-R-N-A.com.
00:02:20.260Jesse, welcome back. Haven't heard your take yet on Tuesday's results. What do you make of it?1.00
00:02:26.400Well, it's about as bad as you could possibly imagine. There are some good things that might
00:02:32.060come of it, but it's about as bad as you could possibly imagine. It's to get wiped out in places
00:02:36.540like kansas iowa texas south carolina is such an unbelievable repudiation on the honest on the
00:02:44.980trump administration and republicans in general there's no other way to look at it people could
00:02:48.860try to wash their hands of it but this was a punishment election all the polls show that0.98
00:02:53.360democrats are not popular everyone still knows they're sick evil and insane but they were very0.93
00:02:58.380very angry that the man they elected to lower prices instead raised them and then gave speeches0.95
00:03:04.100telling them that it's no big deal if they had to pay a little bit more it's honestly one of the
00:03:08.980biggest political catastrophes of my lifetime the state text the state of texas is now blue i have
00:03:15.620so many texas friends texting me and said well how did this i didn't even know what to do now uh it's
00:03:21.420it is such a catastrophic disaster megan and i i'm not i'm not going to mince words on the whole
00:03:27.460thing i can't i can't believe this happened two for two two for two on trump's terms his first
00:03:33.160term he has everything going pretty well things are churning along listens to the wrong people
00:03:38.320and shuts down the country for a chest cold destroys the whole rest of his presidency
00:03:42.340allows democrats to steal an election just destroys everything um term two okay the tariffs
00:03:48.600were a little rough or whatever deportations are going great he's done so many great things we are
00:03:53.160making real progress and decides to just drop bombs on iran because uh the lindsey graham told
00:03:59.500him to. I don't know what to say, Megan. If I sound frustrated, it's because I am.
00:04:05.840Yeah, of course you are. We all are. We all feel it. We feel angry, just like the voters who voted
00:04:10.260these guys out of office. They felt angry and dissatisfied. Those are the top two words that
00:04:16.080they use to explain their votes. Republicans who voted Democrat, not in favor of Democrats,
00:04:21.840but in favor of sending a message to the Republican Party, which was, we're burning it0.99
00:04:26.500fucking down that's what we're doing it is burned down to ash get your shit together that's really0.99
00:04:33.800what they were saying yeah it is what they were saying and actually that leads me with all this1.00
00:04:39.060anger which i'm sure i'll get back to in a moment that does lead me to a conversation i was having
00:04:43.120with my producer before the show on you know let's try to find some sort of a potential silver lining
00:04:48.320here obviously it's not good i'm not going to pretend that it's good that we got our doors
00:04:52.360blown off from state houses to the senate to the house not saying it's good however remember those
00:04:57.94015 loser republicans who sponsored that amnesty bill with maria salazar yeah two-thirds of those
00:05:03.480people are gone that's just one example of how much gunk we did clean out here like it's not0.76
00:05:09.920ideal to get cleaned out like this ideally you want to clean out bad republicans in primaries
00:05:15.220you don't want to hand the country over to the communists that's not ideal but if we have to
00:05:20.640rebuild sometimes you got to tear the house down to the foundation and i'll tell you what we're
00:05:25.940about as torn down to the foundation as you could possibly be at this point in time i think there's
00:05:30.600a chance it makes rebuilding the gop into something that it has not been a lot better
00:05:35.700yeah you're right we're down to the studs right now which is great i mean like as somebody who
00:05:41.700just went through this problem um our house had mold it had mold everywhere it was it got into
00:05:48.720the AC, the HVAC vents. And you know, the little vent that shoots the AC out of it in your house,
00:05:55.380each one was covered in like black dots. We were like, oh my God. And you know what happened? We
00:06:00.940had to take that house down to the studs and it had to be fumigated in the whole bit. Now it's
00:06:07.420fine. But that's what had to happen. You can't fight that kind of a problem while keeping
00:06:12.460everything intact just around the edges. I really wish you hadn't just told me that, Megan. I kid
00:06:17.640you not on my life, my wife, Aubrey, you know, she says, hi, she calls yesterday and tells me
00:06:23.040they found mold in our house yesterday. And now I'm sitting here with Megan Kelly telling me she
00:06:28.380had to practically take her house down because of the whole thing. This is a disaster.
00:06:32.260We did. We did. It, it was our house in Jersey at the, at the shore and it was a nightmare,
00:06:38.120but it was, and I can walk you through offline exactly what you should do. And you should,
00:06:41.500you should handle it early as opposed to what we did. We didn't even realize it was a problem
00:06:44.980until it was far too late. It was far too infested. And then studs. And so that's where we are with
00:06:49.180the Republican Party. We are at studs. They deserve it. And the question is how to rebuild.
00:06:55.100But to your point, you cannot do that without being very honest about how we got here. And I've
00:07:01.500been watching some of your online commentary. I did a long talking points memo yesterday on what
00:07:06.320I think got us here. It was many factors. It was a complete repudiation of what Trump has been
00:07:12.460focused on for the past year of his presidency. I think people were on board with the deportations,
00:07:18.760maybe not the excesses that they saw in Minneapolis, but they were on board with
00:07:22.500getting rid of the illegals who came in under Biden. They were on board with shutting down0.73
00:07:25.480the border and so on. And then he just lost his way. He launched a new Middle East war,
00:07:31.800which spiked prices in an economy that was already suffering to some extent from tariffs and so on.
00:07:37.020He talked all about the ballroom and renaming the Kennedy Center and the reflecting pool
00:07:41.680and not about people's actual problems. Talked about how much money he was making,
00:07:45.700quote, we were making something that no working class voter felt, alienating them and enlarging
00:07:51.580the gulf between this elite sort of class of politicians and regular people who were genuinely
00:07:57.940and are genuinely suffering. And so what we have now, instead of an honest accounting on
00:08:03.100the disastrous launch of the Iran war, is the people who talk Trump into it, pretending that
00:08:09.620had nothing to do with it. We are being gaslit yet again by the same crew that got us into this
00:08:17.220about why this happened. Across the board now, you are hearing from all of the usual suspects.
00:08:26.360Ari Fleischer put it in writing on X, but he was by far not the only one talking about it. It wasn't
00:08:31.380the Iran war, Jesse, it was the ceasefire agreement. It was the disastrous ceasefire0.59
00:08:39.600agreement that the president agreed to. He used J.D. Vance to negotiate it. But you see,
00:08:44.080this is their chance to hit Vance. They want him to bear the burden of their decision that
00:08:50.120they pressured Trump into making in launching the war. They'd much rather get out of February,
00:08:56.000March, when Trump launched the war after B.B. encouraged him to and all the hawks and the
00:08:59.900neocons told him to do it and get to June when Trump sent in J.D. Vance to say, get this thing
00:09:05.740off my back. It's a monkey that I got to get rid of. And Vance came up with a paper thin agreement0.99
00:09:10.680called a memorandum of understanding with the Iranian Revolutionary Guard, and they violated
00:09:15.480it within two seconds. But it was popular because people just wanted an end to the thing. And now
00:09:19.820that same crew that literally they they have blood on their hands. They have actual blood
00:09:25.440of our troops on their hands. And now they have electoral blood on their hands as the Republican
00:09:29.280Party is gone. Want to say all the problems around the Iran war come down to the ceasefire.
00:09:38.320More than a decade, Megan. Donald Trump has been the leading voice in the Republican Party for
00:09:42.740more than a decade. No question about it. He's been the unquestioned leader of the Republican
00:09:47.380Party for more than a decade. Donald Trump has two years left in his presidency. What we're
00:09:51.920experiencing, what you're describing right now is a succession fight. That's what this is all
00:09:55.800actually about just like any other succession fight when the king is dead or dying the people
00:10:00.840start people underneath start squabbling to see who's going to actually sit on the throne in the
00:10:06.040end you mentioned the people and going after jd vance and things like that about 99 of the
00:10:11.780political arguments you see from political people online now are simply a proxy war for the 2028
00:10:17.660republican nomination they're a proxy war for that because jd vance and don't take this as an
00:10:22.920an endorsement of jd vance i like jd vance a lot by the way but it's not it's not that jd vance
00:10:28.720represents uh the biggest i'm not going to say a total separation but the biggest separation we
00:10:34.980have seen in my 45 years on this earth from the traditional gop big corporate bring in as many
00:10:41.560foreigners as possible bomb every inch of the planet jd vance philosophically represents the0.99
00:10:47.220biggest separation from that of my entire lifetime well all the people who've made their entire1.00
00:10:52.880living on that being the way things are they are they're now and they're going to continue to launch
00:10:59.160an all-out war trying to stop his nomination because if donald trump endorses him he's the
00:11:04.240vice president the vice president's usually the presumptive nominee anyway if he does that with
00:11:09.000donald trump's endorsement the race is over it doesn't matter who else gets in and so what you're
00:11:13.220seeing is a proxy war for that and all this stuff. It's a proxy war for that.
00:11:17.940There was no one more in the president's ear than Lindsey Graham, Mark Levin, Mark Thiessen,
00:11:26.400and General Jack Keane. Those were four of the biggest neocons urging President Trump
00:11:32.700to launch this war against Iran. So what happens last night on special report? Mark Thiessen is
00:11:39.800there instead of saying, I was wrong. This was a disaster. The Republican Party has been
00:11:47.540eviscerated because of my idea. No. What did he say? He reacted to J.D. Vance's statement yesterday
00:11:55.580in which J.D. Vance said, let's get real. I've talked to the best pollsters in the business,
00:12:00.440and the reason we lost was the war. He's not saying there were no other reasons. He's saying
00:12:05.620that was the real reason. That's when support started to fall. And if you look at the reports
00:12:10.980in the Wall Street Journal today, even the Wall Street Journal, which is as hawkish and neocon
00:12:14.860as they get, is admitting it was the war that crushed Trump's approval rating. Things were
00:12:20.420going well for him prior to that. So J.D. Vance says this honestly in his post yesterday. And here
00:12:25.480is, of all people, Mark Thiessen on Fox last night. I was kind of shocked by that statement
00:12:45.520Dasha called him on her show yesterday and he said the same thing.
00:12:48.520He's been saying over and over again it was the right thing to do.
00:12:50.500I didn't see Vice President Vance say it was the right thing to do.
00:12:53.720I didn't see him say Donald Trump is one of the most courageous presidents
00:12:56.600in my lifetime because he took this very difficult political decision
00:12:59.400and put the country ahead of his own political interests.
00:13:02.08047 years uh iran has been waging war on us he's the first president to fight back i didn't hear
00:13:06.800any of that all i heard was we lost because of the iran war and if you want to defend that go ahead
00:13:10.940but uh but uh but uh you better make that case well that's the exact case that donald trump is
00:13:16.600making he's saying it was it was the right thing to do why is his vice president saying something
00:13:20.980different because he wants to run for president well he needs donald trump's endorsement to run
00:13:25.800for president or he's not going to get the nomination go fox go your thoughts jesse you
00:13:32.760know what really stood out to me of all the other things that were said there megan were
00:13:36.100and i've seen a lot of this so i'm gonna he's not the only one who said this of uh donald trump
00:13:40.840showed real political courage sacrificing his you know political popularity for whatever the
00:13:46.260country or for whatever for the greater good this is our country it's not donald trump's country
00:13:52.400Yes, he's part of it, too. Yes, it's not that guy's country. This is our country. You don't get to be courageous with my country. I live in a blue state today, Megan. It's known as Texas. Maybe you've heard of it. God and churches and cowboy hats. It was a red state like five minutes ago.
00:14:11.800But because of these disastrous, disastrous decisions by Trump and this guy, I now live in a blue state.1.00
00:14:19.220Your courage is going to bring all kinds of gayness in the classroom and foreigners flooding into my country.1.00
00:14:26.080You were courageous with my life, with the life of my kids, with the life of my state.1.00
00:14:31.060You weren't courageous, you scumbags.1.00
00:15:48.600Those idiots were out there telling people it would have zero effect on the midterms.1.00
00:15:54.240They're also the ones I don't know about Shapiro.1.00
00:15:56.680He wasn't. I doubt the president talks to him. But Levin was 100 percent in the president's ear, egging him along the entire way.
00:16:06.020Yeah. And I think we have to acknowledge something, Megan, of why the war itself is unpopular.
00:16:12.080All presidents. In fact, this applies to kings, everybody who's ever led a country in history.
00:16:17.420Their ability to conduct war is based on the willingness of the people to conduct that war.
00:16:23.980FDR, he was elected president 9,000 times, and he kept getting to fight the largest war the world had ever seen before, not because he was so wonderful or because we could make a bunch of planes and things like that.
00:16:35.780He was able to fight that for as long as he could because the American people were behind it.
00:16:40.420It is the will of the people that that is the fuel that allows you to fight a war.
00:16:44.920so if the people are not with you at all you are signing your political death warrant and the death
00:16:51.420warrant of your party if you go fight one and many many people in america and throughout history
00:16:57.140have discovered that after enough time if you'd like to talk to one of them you can his name is
00:17:02.420george w bush who presided over the complete destruction of the republican party because he
00:17:07.220wanted to fight a war that got extremely unpopular with the american people you cannot fight unpopular
00:17:13.380foreign wars and it is the height of arrogance to think you can look at the people and say shut up
00:17:18.620pay a little more quit whining about it this is what i have decided to do it's our country too
00:17:25.660you come to us for permission to march the army off the war and raise gallon for raise gas four0.91
00:17:32.660dollars a gallon it's our country too you don't get to just screw us and if you do screw us you
00:17:38.260don't get to say, hey, what's my fault? Hey, it was totally worth it. It was absolutely positively
00:17:43.460not worth it whatsoever. I'm sorry. The gay race communists conquering the United States of
00:17:48.600America is about 10,000 times more dangerous than Iran possessing a nuclear weapon. Not that I want1.00
00:17:54.020Iran to possess a nuclear weapon. I don't like Iran. Screw the IRGC. But to have the biggest0.96
00:17:59.400demonic savages I've ever seen in my life conquer my country is so much more important to me. I can't0.80
00:18:04.900even see the iran war that's how much more important it is to me it was michael brenda
00:18:10.540doherty of national review was saying oh you know the neocons they got their regime change
00:18:14.700it happened here not in iran it happened here we are having actual regime change here um the
00:18:21.900wall street journal reports this listen to this how trump lost the midterms again keep in mind
00:18:26.720this is the most neocony publication there is in mid-february one of president trump's economic
00:18:31.280advisors arrived at the Oval with charts showing how the administration's policies might be making
00:18:35.380America great again. Household income was up, particularly among low-income Americans.
00:18:39.720Retirement accounts were strong, were soaring, and the nation's economic growth was even better
00:18:44.040than projected. This is great stuff, said Trump. Within days, Trump made a decision that would
00:18:49.000change everything. After campaigning on ending foreign wars, Trump wagered on one of his own,
00:18:54.780triggering an open-ended conflict that has seen the deaths of more than 20 U.S. service members
00:18:59.020cost U.S. taxpayers more than $47 billion and pushed up the cost of everything from freight
00:19:05.400to fertilizer. That's it right there. That is the conservative paper of record, which was
00:19:12.180cheerleading this thing all along, admitting that was the moment everything changed. And
00:19:19.460there is zero point in denying it as the Ari Fleischers of the world would like to do.1.00
00:19:26.760But it does tell us one thing, Jesse, which is they won't change.1.00
00:19:31.080They can't be a part of when we when we build it up from the studs, they're out.
00:19:51.140But they cannot be a part of the coalition because they're dishonest and they're dangerous.
00:19:55.480Well, you said that there's no point in denying that, but I would actually probably disagree with you on that, Megan.
00:20:03.480If you're on your last leg of political standing inside right wing circles, whatever that is, and the neocons most definitely are, you don't have any other options.
00:20:14.020There are no more tools in your tool belt than to lie and deny about your responsibility for it.
00:20:19.640The United States of America has been drifting away from foreign involvement for a long time, really since the GWAT, the global war on terror and all that.
00:20:28.160And as Americans have watched their own standard of living decrease, which it has a lot in the last five years because people can't afford things, as people have watched their standard of living go down, there's even less and less desire for any involvement in any foreign country, any foreign war.
00:20:44.900The people, when they cannot afford the power, when they can't afford health insurance, when they can't afford gas, they don't want to hear about any other foreign war or why anything is really important or this foreign country.
00:20:57.400But back to these people, if your entire political career has been foreign this, foreign that, foreign this, foreign that, if that's your entire political career, it doesn't exactly take a genius to figure out you are nearing the end of your relevancy on the right.
00:21:13.240So you sit here today. You are at least partially responsible for the largest Republican wipeout of my entire life by a mile, of most people's entire lives by a mile. You're partially responsible for that. How many are going to actually have the humility to step up and say, hey, my bad, that's on me? No, you're sitting there panicking because for you, it's a five alarm fire of political, you know, you're about to have no more political power, no more political influence at all. You're done.
00:21:43.240Mm hmm. They're still just pushing him to amp up the war in Iran. Like what we really need to win it is ground troops. OK, this is I I don't even know what would happen to the Trump presidency at this point if he if he had the nerve to try to launch ground troops in Iran to wrap this thing up.
00:22:06.180That that cannot happen. But there are multiple reports out today about Trump being bored with domestic issues anyway, that he's much more focused on his legacy and he thinks he'll make his legacy with a robust foreign policy, Jesse.
00:22:23.060Well, so ironically, it seems what we're going to get in trying to rein in the foreign adventurism is more of it.
00:22:30.360Well, one, let's hope that doesn't happen, Megan. But two, what you just described is not just the Donald Trump thing. It's so common to people, to all leaders throughout history.
00:22:43.600I mean, you're you're crassus. You're sitting there in ancient Rome. You're the wealthiest man in Rome, extremely influential. You have all the power in the world, all the money in the world.
00:22:53.100you can do whatever you want, but you're looking out over the horizon and wondering what you could1.00
00:22:58.020do if you marched an army over the horizon to fight the Parthians. And he went and he died and0.69
00:23:02.940his son's head ended up on the end of a spear. So that's generally how it goes. But this is the
00:23:07.820thing. If I'm United States Senator Kelly, which we all know would never happen, if I'm Senator
00:23:12.440Kelly from the state of Texas, am I going to care about Texas for a while? Sure. But what picture
00:23:18.600is going to go on the mantle above my fireplace, Megan? When I visited Abilene and helped them
00:23:23.440work out the water issues in Abilene, do I want to go to the pancake breakfast in Abilene? Or
00:23:27.960I could go meet with a prince somewhere. I could go to Paris. What pictures are on the mantle?
00:23:34.020It's always the exotic foreign stuff that seems sexy, and it's always to think presidents fall
00:23:39.500into this, and members of the House of Representatives, senators fall into this.
00:23:43.300Lindsey Graham, I don't think he ever visited South Carolina before he died. They just fall
00:23:47.360in love with with these foreign adventures and it's again it's not just unique to one party or
00:23:53.620america this has been the case for so for throughout history you fall in love with
00:23:59.140marching an army over the horizon and look occasionally you find glory lots of times you
00:24:04.180find your end now uh and here's here's a piece okay yeah this is from the journal uh they report
00:24:11.460yeah every attempt at it with at a deal with iran blew up and the president was frustrated
00:24:17.040How do you even negotiate with these people? He complained to advisers.
00:24:20.360Then he thought midterms didn't matter. They write at times Trump told his aides he didn't care about the midterms at all, said a senior administration official who talked to him.
00:24:29.720The president was tired of worrying about domestic political issues, and he didn't think that he didn't think mattered as much as foreign policy and his legacy.
00:24:38.880Well, he found out the hard way that they did matter and that the people really did care about what was happening in Iran and they would make him pay for it.
00:24:48.740This, as the New York Times, has another article out confirming many things that we knew.
00:24:54.460But here's one of them, something I had suggested on the show yesterday.
00:24:58.160Some days, Mr. Trump told advisers privately, we've got to win anything we got to do.
00:25:02.700On others, he sounded as if he couldn't care less.
00:25:05.080Quote, it says something very nice about me that they just can't win without me, he told aides.
00:25:11.980It's the same thing that led him to give us two Democratic senators out of the state of Georgia, which not so long ago was a red state as well.
00:25:20.960He seems to enjoy watching Republicans lose when he's not on the ballot.
00:27:16.600Then Trump, remember, he issued that truth social calling anybody who is still asking questions about Epstein his former supporters to all my former followers.
00:27:25.820I don't want you anymore if you're still asking questions about Epstein.
00:27:29.020The only reason there was a disclosure on Epstein that followed that is because it was demanded that there was a bill introduced Thomas Massey and others took a brave stand saying, oh, no, no, we will be forcing the release of these files.
00:27:41.620And Trump realized that it was going to happen, that they had the votes to override a veto.
00:27:46.600so he signed that bill into law with a bunch of loopholes in it, big enough to drive a truck
00:27:51.880through. But that's how that got resolved after he shamed anybody who still had interest in it.
00:27:56.080And then we had Iran where he didn't explain it, he didn't sell it, he didn't show the electorate
00:28:01.640enough respect to actually just talk about what the real reasons were and why he thought it was
00:28:06.960necessary for these 20 service personnel to die, and not to mention the endangering of other
00:28:12.480Americans by rattling this saber. The murder of the 170 girls in that school, which we never took
00:28:20.300responsibility for, which was absolutely our fault, not intentional, but that should have been
00:28:24.940explained. Normally, our military will take responsibility even for grave errors like that.
00:28:29.720It's what makes us human and humane and a better class of people than our adversaries. And then
00:28:36.480his arrogance about the gas prices. It's worth it. It's worth it. All of that is worth it. You'll
00:28:41.360pay it because it's worth it for Iran not to have a nuclear weapon, which nobody believed was the
00:28:45.520exact trade off at all. And then when people started objecting to this war, which was hurting
00:28:50.680them in the pocketbook, it was you're all out. You're not my followers. If you don't follow
00:28:55.040Mark Levin and believe in Mark Levin, you are not MAGA. He literally issued a paper statement
00:29:01.920saying that all the way up to present day where it was we're making so much money. We are making
00:29:07.380so much money oh so who's we who well for a couple things megan first of all different people are are
00:29:17.220good at different things right and the truth is that donald trump he he came up as you know a
00:29:22.620real estate guy a fight promoter and donald trump just has this braggadocious personality where
00:29:29.780everything everybody knows it by now everything's the greatest ever the best ever the hottest ever
00:29:34.360the most handsome ever. Everything is going to be that for Trump. And honestly, there are so many
00:29:39.520times where it's really endearing. And on the campaign trail, certainly when you're out of
00:29:43.900power, like when Joe Biden's president, that's a great way to campaign. I'm going to make it the
00:29:48.380best ever, and everything's going to be better than it was before. That's a great way to campaign.
00:29:53.040But once you get elected, if you got elected because people couldn't afford things anymore,
00:29:58.260you can't do that you can't run to the cameras every day and say it's a golden age you can't
00:30:06.660tell people that this is the best economy ever you should talk more about it and this comes back
00:30:11.680to the arrogance i said there's two things this is the second thing megan i'm gonna have to
00:30:14.780paraphrase this because i don't have it in front of me i believe it was laura ingram on fox news
00:30:19.200was interviewing donald trump sometime ago last year something like that she was interviewing him
00:30:23.920and they were arguing i think it was about foreign workers if i remember right because
00:30:27.760She was like, you got to stop bringing these in.
00:30:29.500And he was talking about bringing them in.0.74
00:30:31.380And she said something to him along the lines of, hey, well, that's not very America first.
00:31:25.740While all of this is happening and people were hearing his, you know, let them eat cake attitude about their financial troubles, the stories about corruption have been in the headlines every day.
00:31:39.700And unlike most of the terrible things that get published about Trump, they were true.
00:31:48.560Alina Habba being only the latest example.1.00
00:31:51.160She actually is getting $10 million a year from some daughter of a Venezuelan criminal as general counsel of a newly born corporation that, as far as I can tell, has no legal work, never mind $10 million a year worth.0.99
00:32:07.220For the next four years, ultimately, with her bonuses, it amounts to $50 million.0.78
00:32:18.980Like the reports, I I'm sorry, but the Kimberly Guilfoyle stuff, that's it's a huge black eye.
00:32:26.360We send these people abroad to go do our business, not to make themselves rich, not to get so they can get paid for stints at George V in Paris on somebody's private jet.1.00
00:32:38.200People are sick of this fucking bullshit.1.00
00:32:40.540Obviously, the entire Trump family has gotten incredibly wealthy off of the presidency.1.00
00:32:45.660It's people watch it where maybe there's nothing illegal about it.0.91
00:32:56.620And when you look at the exit polls from Tuesday, this is what they show.
00:33:01.220Thinking about your vote for Congress, how important to you was government corruption?
00:33:06.160Overall, crucial or a major factor, 90 percent.
00:33:10.98090 percent of the voters rated that crucial or a major factor, including almost half of Republican voters, 43 percent who said crucial or major.
00:33:24.160I mean, that's just the stench on that piece of the presidency is detectable through this lens.
00:33:30.940And by the way, it's going to be one of the first things the Democrats start to investigate.
00:33:35.460Yeah, look, I mean, I'll tell you this, Megan, I know you have a bunch of sources.
00:33:39.700i have some people i talk to as well there's been a lot of a lot of whispering at me over the last
00:33:45.900year year and a half of uh voices of concern about some of this stuff that you just laid out as in
00:33:52.060if democrats do start investigating their this might not be a hoax like the last two impeachments
00:33:58.320there might be some some meat on that bone there really might be and that that's obviously
00:34:03.240devastating especially because as you pointed out part of the fact that the part of the reason
00:34:09.160the democrats became so unappealing under joe biden was was the hunter biden stuff a lot of
00:34:14.380the stuff they could never explain it away that dogged joe biden for his entire four years the
00:34:20.200fact that hey it looked like you're handing out favors to family members and then and then all
00:34:25.440the pardons and things like it just looked so corrupt that that that really did bring some
00:34:30.820normies into republican circles trying to push back against that so if you walk in in that
00:34:35.940environment you have to be cleaner than clean you can't have it's not just you can't do anything
00:34:41.420illegal you can't do anything with that has the slightest whiff of impropriety or the voters are
00:34:48.280going to freak because they put you there at least in part to stop that kind of a stuff and
00:34:53.960i'm megan i'll tell you what it's going to be a rocky two years for a lot of people i i think
00:35:00.060they know it, but it's going to be rough. Jesse, if the Democrats can prove that Trump or his aides
00:35:08.820or those around him were selling pardons, that the people around Trump were getting rich
00:35:17.140off of pardons, somehow their bank account was lined, somehow they got these sweetheart deals
00:35:22.940like Alina Habba appears to have. It is a massive scandal in and of itself that is so
00:35:30.400disgustingly corrupt and awful. There isn't a person in the country who would be able to defend
00:35:36.160it. And they will get to the bottom of it. I do think that the pardons will be one of the first
00:35:40.520thing the Democrats start to investigate. What's on their agenda? Well, we heard a little bit about
00:35:45.540it from the incoming, we believe, House Oversight Committee chair, Robert Garcia. He's the one who
00:35:51.340tweeted out Tuesday night before the dust had even settled lawyer up in all caps. And now he
00:35:58.080gave us a little preview of where they're likely to go. Listen here to stop one. As we move forward
00:36:04.500and I take over the chairmanship in January, we're going to be focused like a laser on four
00:36:10.680major areas. And I want to discuss those with you. First is we're going to take on the Trump
00:36:15.740crime family. The amount of grift and corruption
00:36:19.820is unprecedented in American politics. You have
00:36:23.800Don Jr., whose wedding is being paid for by a Russian oligarch.
00:36:28.040You have Jared Kushner, who got $2 billion from the Saudis
00:36:31.740when he left the White House. You have another son that is on, of course,
00:36:35.900the board of companies that are getting contracts from the Pentagon.
00:36:40.860The president himself is a crypto scheme where he's
00:36:43.920making billions of dollars. This family is billions richer as the American public struggle.
00:36:50.800Our second investigation is focused on DHS and the abuses of ICE. Our third major investigation
00:36:57.740revolves around corporate corruption. Our last investigation is going to be focused on the
00:37:03.120Jeffrey Epstein, the horrific, horrific injustice that's happened to so many women and girls.
00:37:09.080I want to remind us that over 1,000 women have come forward as survivors of Jeffrey Epstein.
00:37:18.440So there's just a little taste what's coming our way.
00:37:21.580Well, what's striking, Megan, is how much time you can see they've already taken.
00:44:44.620They will absolutely pack the Supreme Court. But here's the thing. They may not have to because Justice Alito said last month in an interview, he had a book out and he was giving interviews and he said last month in an interview, you remember NPR's Nina Totenberg inaccurately reported that he had announced his retirement from the Supreme Court bench.
00:45:03.680She completely blew it. She embarrassed herself. She considers herself the goddess of Supreme Court reporting, completely blew it. And so Alito, when he launched his book this fall, was asked by various reporters, hey, how about that? You know, are you considering retiring? And he admitted maybe next year. Like he basically said, not right now, but I am thinking about it soon and maybe next year. And I can confirm that directly based on a source in a very good position to know.
00:45:30.460So Alito is 76 years old. Justice Clarence Thomas is 78 years old. And by the way,
00:45:39.340there are also reports that Chief Justice John Roberts has been considering retirement. He's
00:45:43.260only 71. But it's, you know, whatever there. If you're 71, you could still live a pretty nice
00:45:49.200retirement. The other two, I think, you know, Thomas would rather be taken out, you know,
00:45:54.000toe tag first from the Supreme Court. I think he's committed to serve until he dies. But Alito,
00:45:58.980No. And now, Jesse, he's he's looking like he might be the Ruth Bader Ginsburg of of the Trump administration because he didn't retire when Republicans controlled the White House and the Senate.
00:46:13.780There is zero chance that a Democrat controlled Senate is going to confirm any Trump nominee for any federal bench, never mind the U.S. Supreme Court.
00:46:24.100And so now he's stuck there if he if he is willing to do it. He's stuck there for the remaining two years of Trump's term. And let's face it, the Democrats chances of winning in 2028 are looking pretty good, at least right now, before they fuck it up over the next two years.
00:46:42.320And if they win the White House, now we're looking at Alito and Thomas and saying you've got six more years you need to stay in there.
00:46:49.720Thomas will be 84, if God willing, and Alito would be 82.
00:46:55.820And the odds of them doing that when we know Alito wants to retire right now are extremely slim.
00:47:02.260So what we're effectively looking at is not only did Republicans lose the Senate and the House on Tuesday, they may likely have lost up to two Supreme Court seats.
00:47:15.520I had to look at just get used to it because I'm going to keep saying that a lot as we as we finally experience the all that there are endless consequences coming that you don't see, Megan, that I don't see.
00:47:25.940There are horrible things coming when you hand communist power, and that's why you have
00:47:31.280to prioritize never, ever, ever handing communist power.0.99
00:47:34.780And if you, in your arrogance or stupidity or whatever it is, do something that people1.00
00:47:40.300don't like, they will punish you and they will hand communist power.1.00
00:47:43.480And look, maybe the most devastating thing that happened on Tuesday night, Megan, was
00:47:47.340the Senate, because even if we win in 2028, and I don't have any idea how 2028 is going
00:47:51.740ago, but even if we win in 2028, we're probably, if you look at the map, if you look at the way
00:47:56.320it shakes out, we're probably still not going to have the Senate. So it might be President J.D.
00:48:00.800Vance or President Ron DeSantis who can't get a Supreme Court justice on there. This is a years
00:48:06.940long punishment now for the egregious way the first two years of this term have been handled.
00:48:12.540And the problem is it'll be a punishment for me and a punishment for you, a punishment for all
00:48:17.580of us here it's not like you're just punishing donald trump or something like that it's we all
00:48:21.660have to suffer now you there is literally a soundbite of mark levin saying on his radio show
00:48:27.840it's not my fault it's not my fault like and that by the way this is his thing the supreme court
00:48:35.360uh you know the justices the constitutional democracy all of it so now it it was worth it
00:49:09.880A different group of Senate seats will be up.
00:49:12.540You know, they're staggered, unlike the House, which goes every two years.
00:49:15.560And so the map for Republicans was always looking more challenging in 2028.
00:49:20.200These guys could win an outright majority, a filibuster-proof majority of 60 seats in the Senate.
00:49:27.160And we have the messaging from the Levins of the world, it's not my fault.
00:49:32.200And the ridiculous pre-midterm messaging of no one cares about the Iran war.0.77
00:49:37.260That's not going to cost anything.0.88
00:49:38.240I never want to hear from these people again. I don't want anybody paying attention to them. I want them to lose their status as public figures who have microphones in front of them, who anyone listens to. They're too severely wrong about too many things.
00:49:59.000Well, the people will ultimately decide that, right?
00:50:01.620It's the people who decide who gets listened to, who doesn't get listened to.
00:50:05.240There's just nothing anyone else can do about that.
00:50:07.240But you know what I would actually like to hear from these people, Megan, more than anything else?
00:50:11.160I want to hear the honesty of, hey, I backed this because I thought it was worth it.0.69
00:50:15.560I felt like destroying the Iranian regime, I felt like it was a worthwhile risk, even if it meant handing the United States of America over to demonic communists.0.76
00:50:26.620I've not heard a single one of them honest enough to simply admit that, but they all feel it.0.96
00:50:55.760We've got thoughts on a couple of news stories. And guess what? We're also going to get a bit of a Dem perspective in the second half of our second half from Rod Blagojevich, who's definitely got some thoughts on what the Democrats will be up to. Don't go away.
00:51:09.080Good news. Birch Gold has extended the Veterans Day silver offer through November 11th. So act now to get a free one ounce silver coin for every $10,000 purchased. This silver coin features the American flag and the Gadsden flag and is a reminder that you saw the writing on the wall and did something about it. You realized we cannot afford the interest payments on our national debt. You realized inflation is still a challenge and it's time to diversify into gold and silver.
00:51:36.160Text MK to the number 989898 today and speak with a Birch Gold Precious Metal Specialist.
00:51:41.180They will help you convert an existing IRA or 401k into an IRA in gold and silver,
00:51:47.000and then you will receive a free one-ounce silver commemorative coin for every $10,000
00:52:19.780There are real questions, though, like once the Democrats take over House oversight, etc.,
00:52:25.500on what the appetite will be for any investigation into her.
00:52:31.460Now, this is being handled by the DOJ, the main principal criminal investigation into Ilhan Omar.
00:52:36.860But, you know, eventually this could pitch back to the House if she's gotten serious ethical violations that they overlooked that don't quite amount to crimes.
00:52:48.280And there's going to be zero appetite to do anything with that now that the Democrats are about to take over.
00:53:07.420If you would like to see that, we're posting it as a separate podcast and YouTube video,
00:53:13.280so you can check that out on our feed.
00:53:14.600But he was found guilty of multiple charges, though not the fake attempted sexual assault
00:53:22.360where the woman said he grabbed her arm, that one they said not guilty on,
00:53:26.540and two of the three rapes they said not guilty on.
00:53:29.320The alleged vaginal rape that happened back in 1999 when he was very young and not famous and got invited back to a woman's hotel room after midnight, they said not guilty on that one.
00:53:39.940And the alleged oral rape where complainant number three said he dragged her into a bathroom and forced himself on her.
00:53:47.820In that context, they said not guilty there, though they did find that he felt that woman up at the bar moments before that.
00:53:55.920So they believed her testimonial that he felt her breasts at the bar, but not her testimonial that she went into the bathroom with him and that he forced himself on her orally.0.82
00:54:41.780People are still they're just now getting up to speed on the Russell trial because most people haven't been covering it because it's a UK thing.
00:54:48.240And the coverage has been so limited since they have such draconian rules around reporting on UK trials.
00:54:55.000Michael Tracy, who is an honest reporter, irascible but honest, tweeted out,
00:55:00.380here's one of the, quote, rapes that Russell Brand has just been convicted of.0.98
00:55:03.820It allegedly occurred after what the woman says was a consensual threesome with Brand followed by consensual vaginal sex.0.99
00:55:10.820It was then, according to the woman, that Brand committed, quote, anal rape upon her.0.93
00:55:14.940And he tweets out a report in which they say the woman who cannot be identified told the court that Brand anally raped her in 2009 when he was 33 and at the height of his fame.0.63
00:55:24.460He wasn't actually. Well, actually, no, he was. He was he was very famous in 2009.
00:55:28.940Sorry, I screwed that up. They met after she watched Brand at his comedy gig at the Hammersmith Apollo in West London.
00:55:35.480Afterward, she and another woman had a consensual threesome with Brand in his dressing room.
00:55:39.780A week later, she went to his house in Hampstead after they exchanged texts.0.99
00:55:43.700They had consensual vaginal sex and then Brand anally raped her.0.99
00:55:48.040So he's letting people know that there's all sorts of consensual behavior prior to the alleged anal rape.0.90
00:55:54.520And I added to this, because I think people just aren't aware, all of you should be, based on the coverage we've done here.
00:56:03.320She admitted that within moments of meeting Russell Brand backstage, she used her tongue on his anus as another woman was fellating him.0.94
00:56:12.540The only dispute at trial was whether she went inside with the tongue or not.0.97
00:56:17.500She admitted all around the outside of his actual anus.
00:57:23.440And we'll have more coverage of it on Monday when we get the actual sentence.
00:57:27.740I want to go to the Meghan Markle update because there's a couple of interesting ones.
00:57:35.380First, The Sun, which has been breaking all the news on this, reports that the FBI, the American FBI, is going to search Thomas Markle's rented U.S. storage facilities for potential third stash of child abuse images after tip-off from The Sun.
00:57:54.140They report lockups, I think they just mean storage facilities, rented by Thomas Markle Sr. in Hollywood are to be searched by the FBI as they investigate a potential third cache of child abuse images.
00:58:06.380The U.S. agents were alerted to two units on the same site in Los Angeles following a tip from son Thomas Jr., 60.
00:58:16.120Now, this is all very interesting. Just stay with me because Thomas Jr. is behind, I think, all of the tips that led to the big reveals. We know he was the one behind the one in the Philippines because he said he found the stash and he tried to alert authorities in the Philippines and the FBI and even state authorities.
00:58:37.760I think he said in Florida, where Thomas Markle currently is, senior, and nobody showed any interest in his stash.
00:58:44.740And then he called an expert, an IT expert, to show up at the facility and document the find.
00:58:51.320And they went through the, you know, floppy disks and the files that were in Thomas Markle's storage facility,
00:58:58.940which were reportedly replete with child sexual abuse material,
00:59:02.780which reportedly included even pictures of Thomas Markle himself with girls in at least one
00:59:10.480photograph. That all originated with Thomas Jr. His sister, full-blood sister, is named Samantha
00:59:18.060Markle. And she said, this is all BS. There's been a falling out between the two of them,
00:59:23.700junior and senior. And my dad didn't do anything. And Thomas Markle Sr. said, absolutely not. That's
00:59:28.860the worst accusation you could make about a man. I didn't do anything. Well, then they found a
00:59:33.260similar stash the Daily Mail did in Mexico, where Thomas Sr. had been living. The Daily Mail was
00:59:39.320given access to the storage facility because it had been considered abandoned. He hadn't been
00:59:43.080paying rent on it in two years, which will lead to a decision of abandonment. And the Daily Mail
00:59:49.280went in there and found tons of what they say was child sexual abuse material, including what the
00:59:54.120Daily Mail, which does not have a horse in this race, described as pictures of Thomas Markle
00:59:59.560himself with young girls, underage girls, like actually on camera with them, which, if true,
01:00:07.680could be potentially devastating. Now, here we're showing one picture they posted of him.
01:00:11.460The girl's face is blurred out. They say it is a girl, an underage girl. They're sitting on a bed.
01:00:15.640They're fully clothed. Now, that could mean something or could be nothing. And I don't know
01:00:21.080whether the Daily Mail has something more, you know, a naked girl, et cetera. But they certainly1.00
01:00:28.500reported that that storage facility once again was brimming with actual childhood, child sexual
01:00:36.140abuse material, including pictures of toddlers that then again, they say this belongs to Thomas
01:00:42.380Markle Sr. and that all of this was found interspersed with his personal effects, things
01:00:47.980that were meaningful to him, books of his and so on. Now, his defenders have been saying all along,
01:00:55.100we suspect the son, same as Samantha Markle said, we don't trust that son. And we pointed out to you
01:01:00.920that there is a picture of the son walking with some girl from the Philippines who looks like a
01:01:06.580child. Look at this. I'm sorry, it's bizarre. I don't know what's going on with this woman,
01:01:10.500whether she's got dwarfism, whether she's young, but she's like half the size of Thomas1.00
01:01:18.540Markle Jr. There's serious issues in this family. I think we can safely say that. But now we have
01:01:25.420The Sun reporting that Thomas Markle Jr. was the person who gave the tip to U.S. agents about
01:01:36.160the facility in Hollywood. So clearly, you know, he's definitely linked to the Philippines cache.
01:01:42.300He's linked now to whatever's in this Hollywood facility. Was he the one who told the Daily Mail
01:01:47.820that there was another storage facility in Rosarito, Mexico? I don't know. But they quote
01:01:53.360Thomas Markle's son, Jr., as having been interviewed for two hours by the FBI over the potential third
01:02:00.420cache of child sex images. And the quote attributed to him is, quote, my father told me about the
01:02:06.140two units years ago in Hollywood. He's had them for about 15 years. One is stuffed to the brim
01:02:12.060with Meghan's old furniture. The other is packed with boxes, books, photos, mementos for his career
01:02:18.480in Hollywood, stuff from Meghan's college days, and God knows what else. Meghan Markle, of course,
01:02:23.380being their half-sister, Thomas Markle's daughter, along with Doria Ragland. There's something else
01:02:29.140there. There's something there. That's my gut feeling. I dread to think what the FBI might find,
01:09:11.300That she and the Duke are set to visit Brussels next week.
01:09:15.560They will deliver a joint keynote address at the opening of the Lost Screen Memorial in the European Parliament.
01:09:21.500The brief trip abroad will see Harry and Meghan listen to addresses by European Parliament president and member of Parliament.
01:09:26.980They will have between 15 and 20 minutes for their rare dual address, which they will use to speak about the importance of children's digital safety.
01:09:41.940Honestly, that later the Duke will join a panel discussion called Beyond Promises, building a digital future that works for children to discuss how to protect children online.
01:09:54.500I would like to submit a suggestion into the suggestion box when you are told that there is a child sex predator exploiting them online and possibly in person living in Rosarito, Mexico, who then moves to the Philippines and then back to the United States in Pennsylvania and Florida.0.99
01:10:13.420I would like to put that in the suggestion box.0.99
01:10:16.360Someone, please, I'd like to make a motion to be heard.
01:10:18.540this is ridiculous that now they are going to be platformed as two people genuinely concerned about
01:10:26.220child safety online in brussels does brussels not read the news is there nobody there with0.95
01:10:32.940access to the internet to understand that these two have known about a child sexual predator
01:10:38.400alleged but they've believed him to be for eight years and said nothing how the f are they getting
01:10:46.240platformed as spokespeople on child safety online. This is ridiculous.0.97
01:10:55.580I'm in a mood today, you guys. I don't know about you, but I am in a mood.0.93
01:11:00.360It's just, it's a lot. The Senate is gone. The House is gone. The Supreme Court may soon be gone.
01:11:08.960The Electoral College could soon be gone. We may be effed on the presidential election.
01:11:13.220Russell Brand was convicted of anally raping a woman who giggled about anal rape with him and stuck her tongue in and around his anus without having been introduced to him and now will be separated from his family for five to 10 years.0.97
01:11:28.720And we have these two continuing to be platformed as advocates for children after knowing in their own minds for nearly eight years that they were related to a child sex predator and they did nothing.0.97
01:18:17.940And severe gives you permission to do whatever the F you want.
01:18:22.240Air traffic control will give you the route you want.
01:18:24.660It changes the way everyone behaves because everyone knows how dangerous severe turbulence is.
01:18:30.040So it does seem like there was potentially a pattern of underestimating the danger on board this Learjet, potentially by this same flight crew.
01:18:41.620Melissa Chen, who is a very good, she's a conservative commentator and she's a very good ex-follow.
01:18:46.520She tweeted out a soundbite of another plane on the day this Learjet went down this week, dealing with the same historic thunderstorms over Palm Beach.
01:18:57.380And you can hear the air traffic control conversation between this pilot and ATC.
01:19:03.760The ATC was telling him to go basically into the storm, the route that they had chosen for him.
01:20:15.620He managed to avoid it, and he was safe, and he kept the passengers on board his flight safe.
01:20:22.560So the NTSB this week confirmed that, of course, pilot error is one of the things that they will be looking at in trying to figure out what happened.
01:20:32.460They were asked whether they are confident that the black box will be retrieved because that plane was demolished into nothing, into absolute nothing.
01:20:41.500I mean, it hurled toward the earth at record speeds and was left just in a pile of rubble, if that.
01:20:50.480And you heard the NTSB official, Thomas Chapman there.
01:21:15.520WPBF 25 News, a local news outlet down in Palm Beach, their investigative reporter, Terry Parker, obtained exclusive pictures of what appears to be twisted aircraft metal lying on the kitchen floor of a woman named Anna Escobar's home less than a mile from the crash scene.
01:21:36.880This is chilling. Imagine being this poor woman, Anna Escobar, and tip of the hat to this Terry
01:21:43.300Parker who actually found this woman. Escobar said the object tore through her roof and landed
01:21:50.180inside her kitchen. The Palm Beach County Sheriff's Office received the suspected wreckage
01:21:56.260Tuesday as evidence. It remains a minor, not minor, it remains a miracle that no one on the
01:22:02.520ground was killed as this Learjet came down. Some speculate that the pilot may have tried to steer
01:22:07.880it toward an area on the ground that did not have a cluster of houses, et cetera. I would like to
01:22:15.260believe that. I don't know if that aircraft was steerable at all, but I would like to believe
01:22:22.200that. We do know that the pilot, as it went down, was saying the Our Father, and either way, I think
01:22:27.620we know who helped minimize the damage on the ground. And it was no mere mortal. Okay, we're
01:22:34.160going to take a break. Coming up, Rod Blagojevich is here. Blago is back with us. We had so much
01:22:39.180fun with him the last time he was on. So we will talk to him about what he predicts these Democrats
01:22:45.400are going to do. And this is a person who's already been to prison in a prosecution, and
01:22:51.800there's nobody to ask what they're capable of better than Blago. He's next.0.94
01:27:04.720Well, my predictions actually mirror my fears.
01:27:07.760My prediction is that the Democrats are going to go crazy with weaponization, that they're
01:27:11.820going to spend a lot of time, way too much time investigating President Trump, his family,
01:27:15.740the people around President Trump, Pete Hexeth, people in Trump's administration.
01:27:20.300They're not going to do what they're supposed to do, what they got elected on, which is
01:27:23.320to address affordability for everyday, ordinary people.
01:27:26.260they'll be hyper-partisan and hyper-politicized because the left wing, the socialist wing,
01:27:30.920the Bolshevik wing of the Democratic Party now runs the show. And the moderate Democrats,
01:27:35.420and I suspect still more of the members of Congress are more of that than socialists,
01:27:40.740they're afraid of the socialists. So they're going to pander to them. And the pressure from the far
01:27:45.400left and a lot of the voters that elected these socialists and Democratic candidates is going to
01:27:49.600be so hard because they hate Trump so much. They love to hate Trump so much that I don't think
01:27:54.200that the Democratic congressman, the leadership there is going to be able to resist the pressure
01:27:59.060to blow this opportunity to govern in a bipartisan way, but instead they're going to go all into
01:28:05.160investigations and impeachment. That's my fear. That would be the biggest gift they could give
01:28:10.060to Republicans who want to take over as president after Trump leaves. It would be the best gift
01:28:14.740the J.D. Vance's, Marco Rubio's, Ron DeSantis's of the world could ask for, for them to overshoot
01:28:20.660their mandate, not focus on helping people make it just nonstop investorama.
01:28:26.320On the subject of Pete Hegseth, there was a report that President Trump was possibly
01:28:32.020thinking about asking Marsha Blackburn, who's now been elected as governor of Tennessee,
01:28:37.760she gave up her Senate seat, now she's governor of Tennessee, allowing her to appoint Pete
01:28:42.460Hegseth to take over her old Senate seat, now vacated Senate seat, and serve that out.
01:28:50.660In an effort to sort of avoid some of the inquiries or the impeachment, the impeachment of him, because he would, you know, if he's not in office as the secretary of war, here's Trump responding to it during a gaggle he had at the White House ballroom construction project yesterday, SOT 3.
01:29:06.140Are you considering replacing the secretary?
01:29:09.060No, I think he's doing a very good job.
01:29:10.720So you don't want him to bill Horace Blackburn in the Senate to be appointed?
01:29:14.560Well, I think I think he's doing a very good job. And I actually think he'd be very popular if he did that. But I haven't heard that at all.
01:29:23.920So so no, he says no. And I don't know. You tell me whether Ron DeSantis would have any interest in taking over that post if he's really interested in being the GOP nominee in 28.
01:29:35.860You talk about Ron DeSantis or Pete Hexeth, which one?
01:29:39.180Both. Both. Do you think that's a good move for Pete Hegseth? And do you think that because the
01:29:42.940report is that maybe they'll replace Hegseth with Ron DeSantis? Well, first of all, I have advice
01:29:48.100for governor, hard-earned advice for governor-elect Blackburn. Be careful what you say in the
01:29:51.820telephone when you talk about whether or not you're going to make any kind of political horse
01:29:55.560trade when it comes to appointing a senator, because that's what got me in trouble. Let me
01:29:59.260also point out in July of 2015, Megan, the so-called fake sale of the Senate seat was reversed by the
01:30:04.540public court, they called it nothing more than routine political log rolling. Now, with regard
01:30:08.580to Pete Hegseth, if, in fact, the president wants to make a change at the Department of Defense,
01:30:14.040that would be a good place and a good way to do it. And I think Governor-elect Blackburn
01:30:18.460is apt to do it. She's been a very loyal supporter of President Trump. She's very capable.
01:30:23.180People trust her. So that might be a good place for Pete Hegseth to parachute in if that's exactly
01:30:28.540precisely what President Trump wants to do. Whether or not Governor DeSantis does something
01:30:33.040like that. You know, here's the here was the rule because I know this like the back of my hand
01:30:38.080because I went through it. All you need to do is live in a state for one day. And as long as you're
01:30:42.820a citizen, you can be naturalized. You're 30 years old or old or older. You're eligible. You can be
01:30:47.780a senator. And so, you know, Governor DeSantis wants to leave Florida and move to National
01:30:51.880Tennessee, for example. And Blackburn, the governor elect, wants to appoint him to the Senate. That
01:30:57.160can happen. Well, I don't think I don't think DeSantis. I guess you're right. That could happen.
01:31:01.660But the report is that he would he would go in as secretary of war.
01:32:45.820And if that's the case, I don't think he's going to want to have a position in President Trump's administration.
01:32:51.300And, you know, there's a question of DeSantis' loyalty to President Trump, because way back in the first election, while I was locked up, but I actually saw this while watching you on Fox News way back then on the white TV where the white guys watch the news because the televisions and prisoners are segregated.
01:33:05.700The black guys watch CNN, as you can imagine. Right. But I remember watching that.
01:33:10.780And, you know, he was running in a hard governor's race.
01:33:13.820He was a congressman, not as well known then as he is now.
01:33:16.560And President Trump was big time in helping him get elected.
01:33:19.420then he decides to go challenge Trump himself. So there are those issues between the two of them
01:33:24.040that I think are, you know, in the business, you remember, you know, loyalty, and you remember
01:33:27.680people who weren't quite as connected or loyal to you that you might think should have been.
01:33:31.720But having said that, Megan, let me just quote Harry Truman. He said, if you want a friend in
01:33:35.380Washington, get a dog. It's a rough and tumble business. Don't expect loyalty from people in
01:33:39.660politics. That's a rare, rare thing. We're talking to Rod Blagojevich. He's got a book out. It's
01:33:46.060called Framed, F'd and Freed, A Governor's Odyssey. Well worth your time. A fun read and
01:33:51.560actually shocking in some of its big reveals. What do you think? What was your take when you
01:33:56.660watched Tuesday's electoral results roll in? What was your takeaway? I said, boy, the only
01:34:03.640prediction I got right was the polls would be wrong. But I didn't realize it'd be wrong going
01:34:07.900the other way. I thought the Republicans would hold on to the Senate. I thought the Democrats
01:34:12.260were very likely to win the House, historical trends and all the other dynamics involved.
01:34:16.060But I didn't see this coming. In fact, I rejected talk of that. Largely, for many reasons, not the least of which is the polls have been so wrong so many times before, and they've been balanced, you know, leaning against the Republicans and actually been used as weapons and political weapons for Democratic candidates.
01:34:34.160So I was shocked. And the thing that really broke my heart and makes me afraid for America is that Texas, of all places, went Democrat as big as it did. And, you know, Texas is so important to American politics. You're still talking to a guy. I call myself a Trumpocrat, a Democrat for Trump. I haven't given up on me being a Democrat.
01:34:55.880But this Democratic Party and how the socialists have taken over, and there's communists in there too. I know these people. I know they were there when I was in politics. They just weren't as strong. We need some check and balance to them. And we need a Republican Party that's viable and competitive nationwide.
01:35:11.880nationwide. And let's just hope that Texas is briefly going to be blue and goes back to being,
01:35:18.100you know, a sensible state, which it is that loves America, you know, and it's all about
01:35:24.260providing energy to our economy, you know, good, decent people. I'm a Dallas Cowboy fans. I love
01:35:29.160the Bears and the Dallas Cowboys. So let me say this. Texas had a bad, bad couple of days. The
01:35:33.840Cowboys blew a game. They should have won. And look what happened on Tuesday.
01:35:36.140my gosh who would you say is more brutal the uh democrats or the gangs you dealt with in prison
01:35:42.840oh i mean that's a real good question the guys in the prison the gang bangers the
01:35:49.900crypts and bloods the gangster disciples the sena lower cartel drug dealers who look up to
01:35:53.440el chopo the drug lord like my daughters look up to taylor swift and frankly look up to you because
01:35:57.960they really they read your book the book you said sent me settled for more um i was in there with0.58
01:36:03.400murderers. I went from a 50,000 square foot governor's mansion having access to that to a
01:36:07.080six foot by eight foot prison cell. And I spent 2,896 days with those gangbaggers and some of
01:36:12.540those violent criminals. And look, there were some real bad guys there, some wicked evil guys there.
01:36:17.980There were con men there, of course, 2% of the 950 guys in the prison I was in for the first
01:36:22.740three years were con men, very dishonest. They reminded me a lot of some of the Democratic
01:36:27.780politicians I've gotten to know over the years. So if you're asking me, you know, who's more likely
01:36:32.600to stab you in the back for sure, the politicians. If you're likely to ask me who's about to shiv,
01:36:37.660stick a shiv right, you know, in your chest, it'd be some of those guys I live with in prison.
01:36:42.780But you had a soft spot for some of them. You write in the book,
01:36:45.840so as I made my last turn through the line of inmates, this is when you're leaving,
01:36:49.620I seized the opportunity to say one final thing. Stopping abruptly, I turned to face those guys.
01:36:54.740Thank you, fellas, I shouted. I'll miss you. I appreciate all of you. Best of luck. Never give
01:36:59.860up. Always keep hope alive. Miracles do happen. Look at me. And one more thing. When I'm president,
01:37:05.860pardons for all of you, motherfuckers. And I was gone, but not for long. As things turned out,1.00
01:37:12.040this would not be my last day in prison. What a moment for you.
01:37:17.200Yes. And you're right. I had a lot of affection for a lot of the guys and still do. And they're
01:37:21.940friends. I've got a blurb on my book on the front from President Trump. He says,
01:37:26.780this this is an injustice should have never happened terrible thing and then on the back
01:37:30.340my friend Walter Hill you know and he writes a a little blurb says you know friend and former
01:37:35.520inmate so uh no I I made a lot of friends there and and you look most of those guys did what they
01:37:41.800were there for too many of them were over sentenced you know there were some really bad guys of course
01:37:46.860they were not my friends uh but by and large I was very lucky in the sense that I was treated so
01:37:52.580well by those guys. And, you know, I have warm feelings for them. And I write about them. You
01:37:57.500know, they have these names, you know, Socks and Slick and Smelly and Stinky and Honeybun. Honeybun
01:38:02.400got the name because he won a honeybun eating contest in prison because you can buy those at
01:38:06.180the commissary. It was modeled after the Nathan Hot Dogs 4th of July contest. And this guy blew
01:38:12.080away the field. And so I tell stories about that in prison. I talk about my prison band,
01:38:17.140G. Rod and the Jailhouse Rockers. I was the lead singer. We have a whole chapter on that. But
01:38:22.880no, I mean, it was a hard eight years, but I learned that, you know, you can endure anything
01:38:28.500if you have purpose. And for me, I write the final chapter of the book, which I hope people
01:38:32.140read, because that's the one where I think I can help people who are going through their hard times,
01:38:36.680just like you write in your book, you know, Settle for More. You talk about adversity and
01:38:40.040embracing adversity. Well, that's what I write about in the final chapter. And I talk about,
01:38:44.820You know, Viktor Frankl wrote a book called Man's Search for Meaning, and he was a Holocaust survivor, had it a million times worse than me.0.78
01:38:50.460But he said that, you know, the last of the human freedoms is, even after they've taken everything from you, is our freedom to choose our attitude in any given set of circumstances.0.80
01:38:59.140And if you can find the why to live, you'll figure out the how.
01:39:01.440My why were my little girls who I left behind, my wife, and my faith in God.
01:39:05.320It was faith, hope, and love that got me through.
01:39:07.360And I worked every single day on constructive things for those 2,896 days.
01:39:11.920And it was a miracle that connected me to Donald Trump.
01:39:14.400And eventually he was in a position where some of the same people were doing to him what they did to me.
01:39:30.180Again, the name of the book is Framed, F'd and Freed, A Governor's Odyssey.
01:39:34.640We're speaking with Rod Blagojevich, former governor of Illinois.
01:39:38.280You know, the news today, before we even got on the air for the live show, is that Russell Brand has been convicted of one count of rape, three counts of sexual assault.
01:39:51.140I have very strong feelings about the case, Rod, just because we've been covering it very closely.
01:39:55.640And the one count of rape on which he's been found guilty is just, it's a travesty.
