00:03:34.940 so interesting. And I'm noticing something equally interesting. Some Trump loyalists,

00:03:41.040 some people who are avoiding the story. And I think it's because they don't want to get into sort of

00:03:47.400 civil wars within MAGA, but we don't care. We want to talk about what's happening. It's a big

00:03:55.020 news story now as a large faction of the right and the MAGA base is turning on part of the Trump

00:04:02.180 administration. And, um, I wonder what you guys make of it. You know, my own take on it this morning

00:04:07.520 on our AM update podcast last night, when I joined after party with Emily Jashinsky, a new MK media

00:04:13.200 offering that airs live 10 PM, youtube.com Mondays and Wednesdays was that this, I put it mostly on

00:04:22.040 Pam Bondi. And the reason I do that is because I know cash and Dan Bongino said a lot of stuff about

00:04:27.400 Epstein when they were private citizens, but ever since they got into the FBI, I have not heard them

00:04:32.460 torque up the conspiracy. I don't want to say theories, but just like thoughts and ideas around

00:04:40.560 Epstein. Their statements as public officials have so far been consistent with the statement they made

00:04:47.760 last night or on Sunday night to Axios in this statement that they released. But Pam Bondi has

00:04:53.900 been like putting oil on this fire since she became the head of the department of justice,

00:05:01.620 the attorney general. And I have to say, it's very unusual for the head of the DOJ to be speaking the

00:05:08.060 way she has been. Usually the attorney general tries not to make a lot of comments about the cases

00:05:14.260 they're investigating or have under their purview. It's been weird to hear her so vocal about it,

00:05:19.020 which led a lot of people to think, man, they must really be onto something. And finally,

00:05:23.440 we're going to get real answers on this case. And then the Sunday night news drop comes to Axios,

00:05:28.200 not exactly right wing friendly saying there's nothing, there'll be no more release of any documents.

00:05:33.560 There's no, they're there. He killed himself. There's no client list. There are no powerful people.

00:05:39.260 He was blackmailing and you're not getting another single document. So your take on it. Let me start

00:05:45.080 with you on it, Tom. Well, I agree with you. I mean, so Pam Bondi made this statement that she

00:05:50.660 said, it's sitting on my desk. And, you know, Peter Doocy asked about that at the briefing and

00:05:55.640 Caroline Levitt tried to parse that and say, well, she was talking about the review, not the list

00:05:59.540 itself. And so that explains this discrepancy that, that people are, you know, she just mentioned

00:06:05.000 the list. Let me just play that, Tom, forgive the interruption, but I'll play this on,

00:06:07.760 then you pick it up on the back end. Yeah. According to the report, this systematic review

00:06:13.720 revealed no incriminating client list. So what happened to the Epstein client list that the

00:06:20.220 attorney general said she had on her desk? Well, I think if you go back and look at what

00:06:25.160 the attorney general said in that interview, which was on your network on Fox news, go ahead.

00:06:29.780 John Roberts said, DOJ may be releasing the list of Jeffrey Epstein's clients. Will that really

00:06:34.360 happen? And she said, it's sitting on my desk right now to review. Yes. She was saying the

00:06:39.960 entirety of all of the paperwork, all of the paper in relation to Jeffrey Epstein's crimes.

00:06:45.400 That's what the attorney general was referring to. And I'll let her speak for that. But again,

00:06:49.640 when it comes to the FBI and the department of justice, they are more than committed to ensuring

00:06:54.160 that bad people are put behind bars. This attorney general and the FBI director are committed to

00:06:59.360 putting bad people behind bars where they belong, that they promised an exhaustive review. That's

00:07:04.780 what they did for any further details. I would refer you to the department of justice.

00:07:09.300 Very rare. You see Caroline Levitt on her heels or so obviously spinning. That was one instance.

00:07:15.860 Go ahead, Tom. Yeah. So, I mean, the thing about that is, is if that's what she meant,

00:07:20.300 that's certainly not how it was portrayed in the meeting when she said it months ago. So she could

00:07:25.680 just clarify it at any time and say, no, no, no, no, no, no. I didn't say there was a list. I just

00:07:29.060 meant the review. She also said there were tens of thousands of videos. And, and so, you know,

00:07:34.280 that kind of, she could have, if she wanted to clarify her statement, she could have, and she

00:07:39.340 didn't. And the other thing, you know, people have been talking about, I've been following this

00:07:42.500 obviously online is that, you know, so Ghislaine Maxwell is in prison for trafficking kids to, to whom?

00:07:50.140 Somebody, right. We, we know that there are people involved. And so look, I think this is a mess for

00:07:58.060 the administration and, and they have been, it is one of those things that it's been a super, you

00:08:04.440 know, highly public interest story. People have wanted to know what's going on. And, and it felt

00:08:09.820 like the government has been withholding information from them. We ran a piece on, on real clear politics

00:08:15.240 this morning from Mike Schellenberger, um, who's no, you know, right-wing nut and, and saying, look,

00:08:20.200 the, the public sort of Congress should demand and the Trump administration should provide

00:08:25.200 transparency on this issue because right now they've just kind of made a mess of it.

00:08:31.640 Well, client list was an unfortunate phrase to be used to begin with. I mean, Jeffrey Epstein wasn't,

00:08:38.060 uh, convicted of being a pimp, I guess, I guess his girlfriend, yeah, his girlfriend was,

00:08:45.080 he had the, he was a creepy.

00:08:46.620 But just to be clear, just to be clear, Ghislaine Maxwell was found guilty of sex trafficking girls

00:08:50.920 to Epstein, like finding young girls for Epstein's sexual pleasure. Go ahead, Carl.

00:08:56.880 But not, not for, you know, Bill Clinton or Alan Dershowitz or Donald Trump or these names that

00:09:02.200 people have floated for Jeffrey Epstein who killed himself in prison. That's the, the charge. Um, you

00:09:07.360 know, it's a scandal that the most visible, um, defendants in federal custody kill themselves or,

00:09:15.080 or killed. It happened to Whitey Bulger. The prison system is in the federal Bureau of prisons should

00:09:19.600 really be asked to account for itself. Why, why these people are killed, why these things happen,

00:09:24.920 the information should be made public. But if you're, if you're not, if you're not in the fever

00:09:29.260 swamps of conspiracies, you think, well, here's a narcissistic guy who finally got caught and finally

00:09:34.960 got caught in a justice system. He couldn't escape. He was looking at life in prison. If he committed

00:09:39.620 suicide, that's not, that's not unheard of that. It happens. Doesn't, doesn't like, doesn't make sense.

00:09:46.240 Um, and then, but the, the, the people loyal to Trump's, you know, kept spinning this, these

00:09:51.860 conspirators before he even committed suicide because they, they thought they, they, they could get Bill

00:09:57.440 Clinton or somebody like that. Then of course, you know, Donald Trump knew Jeffrey Epstein. The, from what I've

00:10:05.460 read and everything. And I looked into this at the time, a couple of years ago, when Trump realized

00:10:11.200 what Jeffrey Epstein was about, he, he recoiled from that. He, and he said, you know, he likes him

00:10:16.380 very young and he distanced himself from Jeffrey Epstein. So, so there, there's no reason we don't

00:10:23.200 have any evidence that these famous people, um, I don't want to talk about the prince.

00:10:28.660 Well, we know they were on the plane. They were on the plane and that many of them visited Epstein

00:10:33.700 Island and visited his Manhattan mansion. But Epstein had a very, very wide web of connections.

00:10:39.780 He, he was, he was friends with the president of MIT. He was regularly appearing at Harvard.

00:10:44.800 He was hanging out with royalty like Prince Andrew, but others as well. So it was very easy for Epstein to

00:10:50.740 get people on his jet and visiting him at his Island. It doesn't mean all of them were there to take

00:10:56.560 advantage of barely legal type young girls, but, but we get the thing. Look, we've had a couple of

00:11:04.300 things. We've had girls who were in that mansion say there were cameras everywhere and they knew that

00:11:08.600 they were being filmed like Virginia Giuffre. She's probably the most notable. She recently died, but

00:11:14.560 Virginia Giuffre lied many times about the Epstein case. I followed it very closely many, many, many

00:11:20.680 times. So we don't know what's true. Apparently there are videotapes of Epstein is how the

00:11:26.560 DOJ is making it sound now with these barely legal type girls. And in addition, we believe,

00:11:32.340 and I'm gleaning from what they put out in that statement, child sexual assault materials that

00:11:37.140 appeared to have been looked at on his computer. Like, forgive me, he was, we used to call it

00:11:42.740 kiddie porn, but you know, child pornography that it appears he might've been looking at.

00:11:47.980 And if you read deep on this case, what you find is that there was some case in which a civil

00:11:53.200 plaintiff demanded documents and certain files. And it appears that the DOJ may have found that

00:11:59.100 stuff on an Epstein computer at one point and had to produce it, or at least notify the other side,

00:12:05.240 they produced it. But there was a lockdown on any of that because you're not allowed to share those

00:12:09.940 types of files for the protection of the children. But that, forgive me, it seems like a non sequitur,

00:12:16.300 like his obsession with pornography or what he was looking at that he got off the internet is not

00:12:22.600 really what the issue is. It's disgusting and felonious, but Andrew, the issue is whether

00:12:28.280 there are powerful men who were using Epstein and Ghislaine Maxwell to funnel young girls or

00:12:34.880 underage girls to them that there's a list of that are now being protected by government because they're

00:12:40.940 so powerful or they're so wealthy that both sides of the aisle will just bend the knee to make sure

00:12:47.000 they don't get brought down. That's why people are interested in the so-called files or lists.

00:12:52.240 Yeah, no. And I, I think that you laid it out perfectly. And I think I hate when people just

00:12:58.000 call this conspiracy theory, because I think this is a very legitimate news story that deserves

00:13:02.600 to be looked into by the mainstream press. You know, the vice president himself said that before,

00:13:08.160 before the election, that this is a really important story and people should look into it.

00:13:16.020 Yeah. So I, you know, I hope people keep digging into it. There's a little wrinkle here that I'm

00:13:23.100 interested in. I don't know, but there is this minute that is missing from the, from the tape that

00:13:28.180 they released of his cell. The minute before midnight. I mean, I will say if you're a conspiracy

00:13:34.420 theorist, the minute before midnight is kind of too perfect. It's like a movie title.

00:13:38.880 Yeah. But it, uh, it, no, I think it's, I think it's a, it's a real question. And I think that there

00:13:43.920 is, uh, at least a plausible case to be made that this is a coverup and as such, it should be

00:13:51.820 investigated. Um, so, um, again, uh, you know, uh, whether Trump is involved or not, according to

00:13:58.860 Elon Musk, he is, uh, I don't know, but, um, I think you have to sort of wade through a lot of

00:14:05.220 Biden would have released it. Biden and Andrew, um, I mean, Merrick Garland would have released

00:14:11.880 that in the course of the election if he were, if maybe his name was in the book, but that doesn't

00:14:17.060 mean anything. You know, I mean, uh, Alan Dershowitz, his name was in the book because he was his lawyer.

00:14:21.980 That doesn't mean Alan Dershowitz was a client. And I'm well aware of the accusations against him by

00:14:25.740 Virginia Giuffre, which were utter bullshit, utter bullshit. Well, he was not, yeah, she,

00:14:31.740 he proved that they were wrong. He was not in the country. He was out. He was overseas when she said

00:14:36.880 he was, you know, in the silence. And she wound up confessing, oh, I may have been confused about

00:14:41.880 him, but you know, you mentioned the autopsy, which is sort of, uh, or like the, the, the death.

00:14:47.180 Was it a suicide or was it a murder? It's connected to the question of client list and whether he was

00:14:51.320 being blackmailed because people believe he was killed because they think there were these powerful

00:14:56.220 forces out there that had a reason to kill him. So those two do go hand in hand. And it's not just

00:15:02.700 crazy right-wing conspirators as Caitlin Collins was saying on her show last night,

00:15:08.920 Jeffrey Epstein's brother, Mark hired Dr. Bodden, who is world renowned for his skills as a forensic

00:15:17.240 pathologist who conducted an autopsy on Jeffrey Epstein and came out of the autopsy saying this

00:15:25.040 was a murder. He has a bone that was fractured in the front of his throat that gets, basically it

00:15:32.620 gets broken typically when you've been strangled, not, I guess, when you hang yourself. And there

00:15:37.580 were other indications by Dr. Bodden that led him to say, this was not a suicide. This doesn't look like

00:15:44.900 a suicide. So, and there were other questions too, that, that Jeffrey Epstein's brother has been

00:15:50.920 raising. So it's like, it's more than just right-wing nuts as like some in the press would

00:15:56.980 have you believe Tom who are saying, wait. And, and on top of all that, you've got the Bondi statements

00:16:03.380 over and over the one saying, she didn't say the files on my desk. She, she was asked specifically

00:16:10.080 about the client list. And she said, it's on my desk right now. Then a week later,

00:16:15.860 she promised Jesse waters. She was about to dump some sort of information dump that we were all

00:16:21.280 going to be really interested in. The next day was the influencer debacle at the white house

00:16:25.740 where for some reason she invited, invited some of the president's most loyal supporters and tried

00:16:30.900 to humiliate them by giving them Epstein file marked binders, which had nothing new in them.

00:16:37.580 It was all publicly released information that had already been out there. Then she acted indignant.

00:16:43.300 She didn't know it was the sleazy FBI who had withheld the real documents from her. She was going

00:16:48.080 to get to the bottom of it. Then not know. She said further release would come. One did not come.

00:16:54.980 Then she was caught on tape saying there are tens of thousands of kitty porn or child pornography

00:16:59.840 material that we found, which again is like a third issue over here. And next thing we know,

00:17:06.200 there's no, they're there. And by the way, on top of all that, that same week between Feb 21 and Feb

00:17:11.280 26 is 26. When Pam Bondi made those two statements, client list is on my desk and more information is

00:17:17.020 going to drop tomorrow. You had Alina Haba, who was then working for the president. She's officially

00:17:22.140 counselor to the president. She had been his private attorney in that New York ridiculous case

00:17:26.640 against his business. And she would go to work for Pam Bondi three weeks later saying this to Piers Morgan.

00:17:32.140 But in this case, in Epstein's case, it is incredibly disturbing. We have flight logs.

00:17:39.360 We have information names that will come out. Is it going to be shocking names?

00:17:44.500 I don't see how it's not shocking that there were so many individuals that were hidden

00:17:53.620 and kept secret and not been held accountable. Let's talk about the reverse. I believe in

00:18:01.400 accountability. So you have to now go through your process. Now, I won't say they're guilty until they

00:18:06.820 go through their time in court. But again, now it's time for accountability. We have seen for so many

00:18:12.600 years, Pierce, in this country, many investigations, subpoenas, testimonies in Congress, et cetera,

00:18:18.240 et cetera. But there's a general frustration with accountability. We take it halfway. We don't take

00:18:22.940 it home. And I really believe that now with Cash and Pam, there will be accountability.

00:18:27.920 Okay, Tom, what's she talking about? Names? Accountability? They're going to have their day

00:18:33.040 in court? I don't want to declare them guilty before they have their day? That's pretty specific.

00:18:37.160 Yeah. And to turn around and just say, oh, there's a list. Look, they want this story to end.

00:18:44.880 It's not going to end. In fact, it's probably going to make it worse because it has just raised a whole

00:18:49.040 new set of questions about, okay, now the Trump administration, who promised us accountability

00:18:54.240 and transparency on all sorts of issues, is now doing the exact same thing that previous

00:18:59.520 administrations have done. And you can already see that bubbling up online among Trump supporters who are

00:19:05.080 just disappointed at the way that they've handled this. And to your point, Megan, I mean, up until

00:19:11.060 24 hours ago, they had given a whole host of indications and statements pointing in the

00:19:17.720 direction of there being a list, there being names, there being people that were going to face

00:19:22.140 consequences. And now suddenly it's just like they wave a magic wand and it's like, oh, well,

00:19:26.020 there's nothing there and we're moving on. I don't think it's going to happen.

00:19:28.720 Mm hmm. What's interesting, though, as I say, I've been listening carefully to Bongino to cash

00:19:34.080 since taking office. They have not said the Bondi stuff. They are not out on that same limb

00:19:39.440 since taking over at FBI. Only she is. And one of the reasons that's interesting, Carl, is because

00:19:44.920 Trump sent out a tweet last night praising two of the three that we're talking about here. Cash Patel

00:19:52.220 and Dan Bongino, noticeably absent from the list, was Pam Bondi. And I'm he knows as well as you and

00:19:59.640 I know she's under fire. Go ahead, Carl. Well, I was going to ask you follow this story more closely

00:20:05.600 than we have. And I was going to ask you what what do you think is you have cash Patel, especially

00:20:11.660 and Pam Bondi, the attorney general and the FBI director, both appointed by Trump, both Trump loyalists,

00:20:17.220 both praise Trump all the time. But they're telling different stories. Who do you think

00:20:22.320 is right? Who do you think is telling the truth? Well, look, I my audience knows I am not very

00:20:29.620 conspiratorial at all. Like I disbelieve almost every one of them. I have no doubts that we did

00:20:35.160 land on the moon. You know, I'm just not one of those people at all. 9-11 happened. We didn't

00:20:43.980 detonate a building. Like, I don't believe in any of that. I don't none of it. No, I believe COVID

00:20:48.660 started in a lab. I'm not that crazy. You know, I'm completely taking all the government nonsense.

00:20:54.060 But I am one of those people who nine times out of ten, I believe it's government incompetence as

00:20:58.560 opposed to big like government machinations against us. But in this case, I don't know what's

00:21:06.540 happening. Bondi has confused me. I don't know what she's doing. However, I have not really

00:21:13.140 believed that there's a massive conspiracy around Epstein because the I know somebody very close

00:21:19.380 to the case. And this person knows everything there is to know about the case. And this person

00:21:23.060 all along has been telling me that it really was Epstein was into the barely legal types,

00:21:27.820 like legal, but barely legal, that Epstein wasn't having young children, you know, come to any of his

00:21:36.060 places and wasn't actually having interactions with any anyone who would be blatantly illegal.

00:21:42.760 And that this person said Ghislaine Maxwell really wasn't a pimp for other, you know,

00:21:49.920 farming out young girls to other men. Now, I didn't know whether it was true or not. But I have

00:21:54.340 all these years, I have yet to see something that disproves any of that. And on top of that,

00:21:59.380 the DOJ brought a case, they brought a case against Epstein, they brought a case against Ghislaine

00:22:04.720 Maxwell, like the DOJ were engaged in a massive cover up. Why would they bring these cases? You know,

00:22:09.700 why would they open up these federal investigations against them and go into federal court or be

00:22:15.100 prepared to in Epstein's case before he died? It just doesn't seem that's not exactly how you

00:22:20.640 should orchestrate or would orchestrate a cover up. And I also have maybe I'm the only one,

00:22:25.520 but I trust Bill Barr. And he took a deep dive on this and swore to me that Epstein killed himself.

00:22:32.660 I believe Dan Bongino when he's on Fox saying there's nothing. We've looked at the tape. I know

00:22:37.720 maybe there's a missing. I don't know how he's going to explain that, but I believe him. And I

00:22:41.500 think he's told me in many settings, there's nothing, there's nothing to support that he was

00:22:46.800 murdered. And I believe him. So anyway, that's where I am. But I understand why other people

00:22:51.560 disagree with me based on all the discussions we're having. Can I add one thing to what you said,

00:22:55.980 Megan? Could the answer simply be that Pam Bondi is over her head? I mean, she,

00:23:00.260 she came to office with a really good resume, Attorney General of Florida, you know,

00:23:05.500 prosecutors that they've, you know, in the federal system who they've now said are deep state,

00:23:10.780 you know, saboteurs told me that they had high hopes for her that, you know, she had,

00:23:16.180 she was more qualified than some of these other people like, you know, Tulsi Gabbard and Bobby

00:23:20.820 Kennedy Jr. for the job that she got. But she's done this. She's spoken out of school the way

00:23:26.100 I've never heard an AG speak on other cases. You know, there was this case,

00:23:29.780 we're going to, we're going to throw the book at that person. We're not going to plea bargain it.

00:23:33.380 We're going to, you know, give them 30 years before the, before the indictment. And she just

00:23:38.180 has behaved in ways on other cases that makes me wonder if it, she's the SAT question that doesn't

00:23:44.900 add up here. I mean, just look at the influencer thing, you guys.

00:23:52.100 What, what kind of an attorney general, just take it, take a step back. What kind of an attorney

00:23:56.620 general would pretend she's giving new information to some of the president's most loyal advocates

00:24:13.240 embarrass some of his most loyal surrogates out there and did that willingly, or she didn't

00:24:19.740 take the time to make sure what was in those binders. She was too lazy to actually figure out

00:24:28.200 none of this is new. And, and yet she called a meeting with the influencers that included cash

00:24:35.600 Patel, the head of the FBI and the sitting vice president. So she's either lazy and incompetent,
