According to the autopsy, whoever killed JonBenet took white olefin cord and tied her wrists together.

The person used the same cord to make what's commonly known as a garrote or a ligature.

to strangle JonBenet. A garrote is a brutally simple mechanism. It uses a cord around the neck

and some kind of handle to twist that cord tighter. The more it's twisted, the more pressure

it puts on the neck, cutting off air and blood flow. It's similar to a tourniquet, but with a

deadly purpose. Police say the knot on this garrote was tied by someone who understood how a garrote
