00:04:23.820 congressman steve scalise thank you so much for being here again it's great to be back with you
00:04:32.460 so i thought of you over the past 10 days because you know you and a very small collection of your
00:04:38.140 fellow representatives are in a small group of people who have experienced this twice now coming
00:04:43.320 under attack in your role as a representative once as a congressman at that baseball game where you were
00:04:50.200 shot and then again at the capitol hill riot night and i was wondering whether it brought up first of all
00:04:55.960 any ptsd for you post-traumatic stress well immediately as things were happening megan it it
00:05:02.880 absolutely came back to the baseball field you know those visions come back unfortunately
00:05:08.240 um my capitol police security detail that's with me uh who saved me the day of the the baseball
00:05:14.680 shooting uh one of one of my team members comes onto the floor when i was on the floor during the
00:05:20.000 debate and he says sir we've got to go and he had a very stern face and you know i i know them there
00:05:25.620 you know when they say something you follow uh follow what they say and so i just went right behind
00:05:32.060 him and we started going out of the chamber next thing you know we're we're going through some
00:05:36.300 tunnels and uh we we left the building and went to an undisclosed location with some of the other
00:05:42.840 house and senate leadership republican and democrat and uh you know a lot of things emotions were going
00:05:48.160 through me but clearly you know was was thinking about some of those same emotions from the ball field
00:05:53.540 that day oh i'm sure because at that point you don't know what's happening exactly right you know
00:06:00.900 you know there's a danger but did you have an appreciation for how bad it was well you know you
00:06:06.160 you don't think that that the capitol is going to be breached last thing you're thinking is somebody's
00:06:10.940 going to come out and start shooting all the republicans on the field uh same regard if you're on
00:06:16.420 the house floor debating a vote you're going to be taking the last thing you're thinking is that
00:06:22.940 that people are going to storm the capitol it's just not uh it's not it's almost surreal but but then
00:06:28.600 you know then it's happening and and you know your your emotions kind of capture that but then
00:06:34.020 you start focusing on what you have to do next and uh you know that that's it's just such a
00:06:40.040 a sad thing that happened but uh but it you know brings anger brings a lot of other emotions too
00:06:45.420 well can i ask you about that because i think if i were a lawyer defending those being charged with
00:06:52.860 inciting a riot right we've heard that term used against trump against president trump even in the
00:06:57.680 impeachment articles um i would argue about foreseeability you know and i realize the
00:07:03.380 argument on the other side is he whipped them up he had them believing massive voter fraud his
00:07:07.700 surrogates were out there saying fight fight threatening congressmen if they didn't you know
00:07:12.360 act strong if they didn't stand up take our country back all that i get that but the i don't know that all
00:07:20.100 the people doing that i know you were one of the ones who was raising questions about voter fraud
00:07:24.320 could could foresee that the mob would breach the capital and go in there in a lawless manner
00:07:31.620 threatening and hurting people yeah you know and i've said this back when i was shot i mean
00:07:37.620 you know there there were political motivations behind it but there's absolutely no excuse for
00:07:42.960 anybody to resort to violence you know we we all have political disagreements it's it's one of the
00:07:48.220 foundations of of our nation in the first amendment but uh it doesn't give you the license to go and
00:07:54.240 and attack someone else and and look the people that got into the capital they had to first attack
00:07:59.720 police there was a police officer uh murdered killed out there that day officer cnick uh they they
00:08:05.980 crawled through broken crawled through broken windows to get there you're you're trespassing and and
00:08:11.220 it's anarchy at that point you're violating the law you know what was your motivation you know look i mean
00:08:17.520 i've talked about uh you know president trump should have been unequivocal in denouncing uh what had
00:08:25.640 happened the day of uh the the violent attack and uh you know and he wasn't that day he did later
00:08:31.940 uh but you know ultimately anyone who who crosses the line and says you know that they're going to resort
00:08:38.360 to violence of any kind uh at that point you you're the you ought to be charged and they are being
00:08:45.520 charged by the way uh you know you ought to go to jail you ought to you know be held accountable for
00:08:50.700 violating the law at that point i mean those are criminals now i do believe a fair share of the
00:08:55.580 protesters there thought they were just going to go outside and wave their flags and you know sort of
00:08:59.540 make their voices heard without lawlessness but there was a an unhealthy portion of the group that was
00:09:07.640 planning on attacking and had come equipped with zip ties and you know other potential weaponry
00:09:14.580 on the lookout to hurt somebody i mean that was pretty clear and the hang mike pence chance i mean
00:09:19.920 it was just deeply disturbing and now we're seeing in the wake of it and there's a lot i want to get to
00:09:27.000 with you you know what your experience with this and you know where you feel about violent rhetoric and
00:09:31.000 all that but i do want to ask you because what we're seeing is not just a condemnation of those who
00:09:36.180 committed violence but of everyone who pushed what the democrats and the media are now calling
00:09:43.360 quote the big lie now they've deemed you know the notion of voter fraud on on a widespread level which
00:09:51.560 has not been proven to be quote the big lie that the president and all of his supporters pushed
00:09:56.740 they accuse you of this as well and say all those people have blood on their hands is that fair
00:10:03.240 megan that's it's amazing to see the righteous indignation from the left uh and just keep the
00:10:10.540 perspective that first of all uh presidents have legal options candidates for presidents have legal
00:10:16.500 options to go to the courts uh you know al gore did it you know it didn't it took over a month for the
00:10:23.200 al gore bush you know bush v gore case to get resolved nobody accused him of sedition um you just
00:10:30.220 look over the summer uh where you had violence in the streets where uh cities were burned down cops
00:10:35.940 were being shot and murdered people were being beaten and murdered in the streets the entire summer
00:10:41.060 uh i was calling that out you never saw the left calling it out in fact you had some members of
00:10:47.060 congress encouraging the violence during the summer uh you know nobody said there's blood on their hands
00:10:52.600 nobody called for for people to be removed back then uh i you know again i've called this out on both
00:10:59.200 sides megan and i think a lot of us have and we have to uh you know if you see violence if you see
00:11:03.980 people taking uh you know taking the law into their own own hands to go and attack and hurt other
00:11:10.120 people that has to be called out not just when it's happening on the other side of the political aisle
00:11:15.420 on both sides and and those on the left were not calling it out during the summer uh but today they
00:11:20.820 want to act like they've got some moral high ground we ought to all be disgusted when we see it no
00:11:25.320 matter where violence comes from yeah no they they weren't and i know you you wrote an op-ed in the
00:11:30.040 wall street journal recently calling out specifically some members of the media like
00:11:33.520 chris cuomo who who said you know where is it written that protests have to be polite right like
00:11:38.080 and and now i didn't know they were part of the problem right by the way i didn't agree with him
00:11:43.460 then and i don't agree that uh violence was right uh at the capitol so if it's if it's okay in some
00:11:51.020 places and you encourage that narrative which they did uh then you own it you know if you were
00:11:56.780 calling it out both times then you've been consistent that violence is not the way we solve
00:12:02.360 our differences they're not surprisingly though they're not focused on on that they're focused
00:12:08.300 on the rhetoric that that spun these people up and you know i've been somebody who's defended
00:12:14.320 presidents the president trump's right to challenge these results electorally and said let's wait and see
00:12:20.840 it play out in the courts and of course you know he lost 60 out of 61 cases and the the one he won
00:12:26.440 was on procedural grounds it wasn't a big win so okay after that you have to accept reality and move on
00:12:33.320 and that's where uh that's where people start to really blame people like you the republicans who
00:12:40.060 continued to fight right who signed i know you signed the amicus brief in support of texas versus
00:12:46.580 pennsylvania trying to texas tried to sue these other states to avoid the election results as tainted the
00:12:52.320 supreme court wouldn't take it then then you know a hundred plus uh house members stood up and objected
00:12:58.800 to the count uh that day when it was really just perfunctory you know just counting the numbers and
00:13:04.320 he'd already been certified as the president-elect joe biden and so that's where they're that's let's just
00:13:10.540 talk about that was it wrong to keep pushing it you know to to vote to overturn the election results
00:13:17.960 to try to disenfranchise but to sort of help these people continue to believe those who stormed that
00:13:23.900 the election had been stolen well first of all the texas lawsuit uh that many members signed an amicus
00:13:30.840 brief for was asking the court to to address one of the fundamental questions that's been at the heart
00:13:35.640 of this and that is the united states constitution says that it's legislators legislatures in each
00:13:41.640 state that set the rules for electing a president uh that did not happen in a number of states they
00:13:48.180 went around their legislative bodies whether they went to a secretary of state they got a court uh
00:13:53.680 ruling that would be favorable to them but they didn't go through their legislatures and and at some
00:13:59.420 point are we going to address that problem and that we asked the court to act to to look at that and
00:14:05.120 the court did not do it asking the court to look at a question uh last time i checked is not seditious
00:14:10.780 either uh but in the end if you go back and look at the elector electoral college being uh certifications
00:14:17.640 being counted uh that has been challenged by the way by uh democrats for every president uh every
00:14:24.380 republican president this century so literally every republican who's been george w bush uh george w bush the
00:14:30.800 second time and donald trump democrats challenged that in congress just as it was done a week and
00:14:37.260 two weeks ago and again you never heard the term sedition in fact in 2005 a majority of democrats did not vote
00:14:44.480 to certify the state of ohio and they were not successful uh but that would have overturned the election
00:14:51.300 uh and you know nobody called them any kind of names this isn't something new it's a it's a part of the
00:14:57.600 process the constitution lays it out if somebody doesn't like that process they ought to change the
00:15:02.240 law and no one suggested it in the past when democrats were using it i'll give you that i'll
00:15:07.240 give you that latter point because it's definitely true that democrats have stood up and objected to
00:15:11.440 the certification results though not in the numbers that we saw um this past time but the supreme court
00:15:17.480 lawsuit was that was bogus come on the supreme court ultimately didn't take the case at all but
00:15:23.460 i'd like to see us look at election reform not where we have a federal election standard but where
00:15:29.440 we at least say shouldn't we know the results on election night shouldn't we have some kind of
00:15:34.260 signature verification some basic standards that you know then let states go run their election but
00:15:40.180 with a standard where you know uh where you know there's going to be some integrity uh throughout the
00:15:45.400 process you see abuses look in our state i was very active when i was a state legislature
00:15:49.860 as later at cleaning up our problems we had an election commissioner who went to jail uh there
00:15:55.920 were people who were going to jail for voter fraud all the time and we cleaned it up uh some states
00:16:01.680 still haven't cleaned that up i wish they would some states don't have the motivation you know that's
00:16:06.120 and maybe you know and maybe going forward we take this as an opportunity to go back and look and say
00:16:11.320 is there a better way to do it look megan in the state of new york there's still a congressional
00:16:15.640 seat that hasn't been certified yet claudia tenney's been up since the very beginning and yet
00:16:21.780 they still won't call that election uh that's ridiculous two months later we still don't have
00:16:27.580 an answer and that district isn't even being represented right now in congress uh that's the
00:16:32.320 kind of stuff that we we want to see fixed where you know if the law is on the books in new york they
00:16:38.400 need to follow the law in new york and they're not what what do you think though now because now
00:16:43.320 you know if you look at the polls 80 i think of republicans still think this was a fraudulent
00:16:51.300 election and even though now we're being told no more talk of that no more because that talk
00:16:58.680 is being blamed for what happened on capitol hill i wonder what you think do you still think that there
00:17:06.120 was voter fraud on a level that would have potentially changed the outcome of the race look where where i
00:17:13.300 had expressed my issues were with the states that and there was a limited number a small number
00:17:18.620 that went around their law look at pennsylvania the law says that all votes are counted up until
00:17:24.860 eight o'clock on election night that's when the polls closed and their court just said well we're just
00:17:30.800 going to give extra days we're going to waive some of the other laws and just kind of look the other way
00:17:35.120 towards their their laws and there are many people in pennsylvania by the way that are still upset about
00:17:39.600 that that their state's own laws weren't followed and so you know i know for you know so many people
00:17:46.540 that just want to look the other way that that's a problem there are people millions of people that
00:17:50.320 are upset with that uh we've got to address that we can't act like it doesn't exist joe biden's going
00:17:55.320 to be sworn in uh i'll be at the inauguration uh but you know you want to resolve the lingering
00:18:01.180 questions let's address these fundamental issues going forward so that we can restore the integrity
00:18:06.280 of our election system okay so but what do you make of and the pennsylvania one is really the
00:18:11.680 best example in my view having followed this they have the best argument that that the the extension
00:18:18.240 on the vote counting should have been done by the legislature and not a court and that's what wound up
00:18:23.560 happening and you know there's a reason we like the votes to be counted on election day as opposed to
00:18:28.400 a week out um and you know it can invite voter fraud and that was sort of the basis of the argument
00:18:33.860 in any event now it's passed and we'll see whether they take a hard look at their system going forward
00:18:38.320 when we don't have covid or if they're going to continue allowing all these mail-in ballots but i do
00:18:42.820 wonder if you know now you think this discussion can be had in any meaningful intelligent way right
00:18:51.580 because it's like you say that words voter fraud now and they look at you like you know you're you're
00:18:58.640 talking like al-qaeda right like you've said something that's inherently dangerous that could
00:19:04.220 lead to violence youtube is banning videos suggesting any any sort of widespread voter fraud
00:19:09.260 you know those words have now become untouchable so do is it still a conversation we can have
00:19:15.340 well i think it's still a conversation that that millions of people want to to resolve and and again
00:19:23.440 you don't resolve problems by ignoring them and you know calling other people names and you know we're
00:19:28.780 not going to just we're not even going to have this conversation we we need to fix problems where we see
00:19:33.800 them uh and then you know look we're gonna we're gonna get beyond this but we're gonna be a healthier
00:19:40.700 nation if we resolve the issues that uh that people have that that are rooted in the law you know let's
00:19:47.100 get back to the law what's the purpose of having the constitutional requirement that legislatures set
00:19:51.780 these rules if we're not gonna follow the rules that they set uh you know we're a nation of laws
00:19:57.020 let's follow those rules and if the rules have problems let's go fix them what do you make of these
00:20:01.920 calls to kick senator hawley and senator cruz out of the senate to disbar them as lawyers to put them on
00:20:09.800 the no-fly list and some at harvard want to take away their harvard degrees
00:20:16.000 wow are they going to give them the money are they going to give them the money back that they
00:20:21.580 they charged them to get those degrees look i mean this cancel culture megan has got to stop it's been
00:20:26.700 going on for years now where you know more and more you see on the left uh people disagree with you
00:20:32.400 you just try to shut them down you don't you don't want to engage in conversation it's been going on
00:20:36.660 on college campuses for over a decade now where if you're conservative they don't even let you speak
00:20:42.100 i thought college was supposed to be where you go to learn to to challenge your ideas against other
00:20:48.040 people uh that have different ideas and maybe you might change your mind you might you know sharpen
00:20:54.540 your focus on things but uh to just say if we don't just we don't agree with you again are they trying
00:20:59.260 to cancel all the democrats who have for years uh every election this century republicans been elected
00:21:06.660 president they've challenged it on the democrat side are they going to cancel them as well
00:21:11.100 again be consistent if you want to push some radical agenda uh just know that uh be consistent
00:21:17.280 on both sides but but that's not where we need to go as a country we are not a cancel culture nation
00:21:22.400 the first amendment is something that that we cherish and uh and it's one of the things that makes us
00:21:28.300 the greatest nation in the history of the world we've got flaws we've got problems like anybody but
00:21:33.580 there's you know you don't see people leave other countries uh to go seek out you know the
00:21:39.520 moscow dream or you know the the french dream they come to seek out the american dream and it's still
00:21:44.800 alive and well but it it's being tested we've got to stand up to that uh this moment well what did
00:21:50.640 you make of twitter banning trump you know twitter is is getting into a place where uh their policy is
00:21:57.720 very inconsistent on who they ban you know when everybody points to the ayatollah is still out there
00:22:02.920 spewing anti-american and anti-israel messages uh and they're okay with that you know the chinese
00:22:10.860 communist party's still able to disseminate false information on a regular basis you know if they're
00:22:16.820 going to have a policy shouldn't it be consistent or if it's just targeting conservatives uh you know
00:22:22.320 we've we've seen over and over where you know they're very quick to ban a conservative they're not
00:22:27.620 going to ban a liberal who's doing the same thing and uh you know that consistency is starting to be
00:22:33.080 pointed out a lot more you know you can right now on amazon amazon which deplatformed parlor for having
00:22:41.480 too much violent rhetoric you can buy right now a t-shirt that reads kill all republicans that's a
00:22:46.940 january 2021 and and and there are kill trump um hashtags trending on twitter and on facebook and
00:22:57.900 um on some of the other platforms hashtag kill trump right uh arrest trump not enough kill trump and so
00:23:05.400 on and so forth that that actually is a federal crime to threaten an assassination of a president but
00:23:09.160 the the double standard is pretty obvious to anyone paying attention yeah the double standard
00:23:15.200 megan is very very clear for everybody to see you know by the way go back and look uh the last four
00:23:20.880 years uh from the day that the president was sworn in you had that resist movement you know you even
00:23:26.080 had the speaker of the house saying that the election was hijacked and you know go back and look at all of
00:23:30.660 that hypercharged rhetoric for four straight years not to mention the the russian hoax and the you know
00:23:36.540 the impeachment hoax i mean just non-stop every day uh going after this president for anything and
00:23:42.900 everything and uh you know and trying to deny that he was even elected president so again the righteous
00:23:48.420 indignation and the double standard is uh is is what people are looking at too saying you know go you
00:23:55.500 know kind of zone it down now you're getting to it because i the bigger question i everybody wants to
00:24:02.380 zero in on trump's tweets or your objections or you know like they want to blame specific republicans
00:24:07.860 the bigger and i think much more important question is how did the people get to the place
00:24:13.820 where not only did they believe there was massive voter fraud you know like the kraken the dominion
00:24:19.300 voting machine whatever it is they believe not just that but that then they would resort to violence
00:24:25.140 they were they were committed to going in there and hurting lawmakers how did they get to that place and
00:24:31.820 as somebody who sadly has had to deal with this in a very personal way in your own past i mean you were
00:24:37.840 you were shot somebody tried to assassinate you for doing your job how do you see that because i don't
00:24:44.860 i worry about whether we have the power to disabuse people of that resorting to violence that ability to
00:24:53.540 be a bit brainwashed to just not see the world as clearly as the rest of us do when it comes to
00:24:58.440 the limits we set on our own behavior yeah you know megan this is something that that concerns me in
00:25:04.200 general because the tone the rhetoric is hypercharged right now uh but you know to just first of all
00:25:10.500 nobody condones people who broke the law and and you could be angry i know there's probably millions
00:25:16.760 of people today that are disgusted by the storming of the capitol but that are also very angry with how
00:25:23.380 the last four years has played out in the constant barrage of attacks against the president
00:25:28.280 uh when you know when when there was not even anything to to claim about him they were still
00:25:34.900 saying you know deny he's president and and just go after him every day go go after his cabinet
00:25:40.720 secretaries and restaurants and run them out of restaurants that was going on megan and people
00:25:45.860 watched it and it was and celebrated by the left no one on the left was calling that out uh for years
00:25:52.160 and and people just it built a powder keg and and we've got to now start focusing on diffusing it
00:25:59.320 again the left just wants to cancel everybody who's a republican that's ultimately where they're going
00:26:04.000 with this so you know no matter what you did you're to blame but they're not to blame you know when cities
00:26:09.020 were being burned down and cops were being shot uh some of them were saying well that's just what
00:26:13.400 people do no that's not what people do and it's got to be called out unequivocally on both sides
00:26:20.300 the left has to be consistent in this they're not uh that's got to change and the rhetoric's got to
00:26:26.300 tone down you were in 2018 you were targeted again again uh receiving threatening messages from somebody
00:26:34.420 promising to go after your family and feed them lead um cops raided the home of the guy threatening
00:26:40.320 they found 200 rounds of ammo receipts for an assault rifle handgun books on bomb making
00:26:44.860 how to make a homemade hot silencer and so i mean it's you you've been down this road too many times
00:26:50.780 and you have been very good about speaking out about violence and the need to condemn it you know and
00:26:59.040 what we what we have seen you wrote a very powerful piece a couple of years ago long before any of this
00:27:03.940 stuff saying look at what eric holder has said look what maxine waters is saying get in their face
00:27:09.800 you know confront them wherever they are and eric holder saying you know when they go low we kick
00:27:15.320 them and hillary clinton with some of her rhetoric comparing comparing uh americans to terrorists so
00:27:22.280 i realize that does that excuse some of the rhetoric we've heard leading up to wednesday's event
00:27:29.360 by by our leaders no nothing excuses you know calls for violence but they've been pretty explicit
00:27:35.960 on the left pretty explicit and i just wonder if those if that mood and and bigger than that if the
00:27:46.120 total dismantling of trust in our institutions was on full display that wednesday on january 6th if
00:27:53.100 people you know four years of them not trusting the media or not being able to discern what's true anymore
00:27:59.300 not trusting the people in charge to do what's right irrespective of partisanship not trusting
00:28:05.980 anybody to do what's honest when it comes to president trump the people who defend him defend
00:28:11.460 him knee-jerk the people who attack him want to take him down even if it requires lies right so it's
00:28:17.400 like all these things went into creating a powder keg as i see it but what do you think no it's it's
00:28:22.820 exactly right i mean to think that that the anger that's been building up in our country just
00:28:28.220 happened since the election is is to to ignore what's happened the last four years and and to
00:28:33.820 see how it's been building and and who's been behind helping build it you know some people just want to
00:28:39.340 point to the the republican side and say we can cancel them by blaming them for everything uh they they will
00:28:47.840 have ignored what has been going on in this country for years including uh how how it really ignited over
00:28:53.920 the summer uh and again there were there were some people who were protesting peacefully and then there
00:28:59.360 were some people who were out destroying cities and shooting and killing cops and innocent civilians
00:29:04.480 and that wasn't being called out by both sides and you know now they want to again the righteous
00:29:10.780 indignation they want to uh you know go and try to assign blame today but they were encouraging
00:29:15.420 this uh for a long time too and and they've got to look in the mirror we all need to look in the mirror
00:29:21.080 but to to say it's only one side doing it is to be completely dishonest what do you make of now i mean
00:29:28.060 there there are actual calls out there to shut down fox news newsmax oan and i thought of you because
00:29:37.060 the man who shot you had posted violent rhetoric online prior to the attack he hadn't been banned by
00:29:43.980 facebook um his favorite shows were bill maher and rachel maddow he'd been on facebook all the time saying
00:29:50.440 it's time to destroy trump and company he was part of the resistance he was part of several anti-gop
00:29:55.500 facebook groups including quote terminate the republican party and quote the road to hell is
00:30:00.440 paved with republicans and i just wonder if you're seeing because you know once again if you look at
00:30:05.640 the guy's social media profile violent rhetoric anger and hatred for the other side he watched you
00:30:13.080 know far left programming rachel maddow's about as far to the left as you can get i don't remember
00:30:17.260 republicans saying rachel maddow should be banned or bill maher should be banned or that facebook
00:30:22.620 should be deplatformed but you know you lived it and by the way bernie sanders too he was he was a
00:30:28.400 volunteer for bernie sanders some people were trying to suggest you know bernie sanders had some role in
00:30:33.160 it but you didn't hold him accountable you didn't think he was responsible for any of this nor was he
00:30:38.160 but what are your thoughts on that and sort of what seems to be a double standard there no and that
00:30:42.640 that clearly is a double standard but you know early off i you know i said when i found out he
00:30:48.460 was an active bernie supporter i said that bernie's not the reason this happened this this this person
00:30:54.180 went off the edge and and he committed a violent act tried to kill a lot of us uh and and he's been
00:31:00.560 held accountable and uh you know and again you you saw you saw it coming together but you you didn't see
00:31:07.880 uh indignation and a repudiation of the entire left over that as we shouldn't have uh but today
00:31:15.280 you are seeing that and and i think it's people trying to exploit a situation where they they want
00:31:20.280 to shift accountability hold the people accountable who stormed the capitol they are being held
00:31:25.240 accountable by the way i didn't see people saying hey when we're seeing buildings being burned down
00:31:29.360 let's go find the video of all the people that were burning down those buildings and arrest them
00:31:32.940 they should have been arrested over the summer for committing violent acts uh very few were uh today
00:31:39.380 i think you're seeing across the board the people who were coming into the capitol there's a lot of
00:31:43.280 video images many have been arrested people in each community are identifying uh people they know that
00:31:49.880 were there in those videos and their their family members are saying hey that was my brother uh in that
00:31:55.520 video and you know that's a good thing wives which i really kind of love it's a it's a lot of the
00:32:00.980 ex-wives but like i know him good for the ex-wives of america you know all right no wait just a couple
00:32:06.560 more questions i know you're short on time you wrote an op-ed saying the national temperature is
00:32:10.900 way too high that a powder keg has been smoldering in this country long before the events on the
00:32:17.180 capitol and that you know this violent rhetoric we've been seeing helps radicalize people
00:32:21.500 what what do we do about that right because it's america and we have free speech and now we have
00:32:31.220 platforms purporting to crack down on violent speech but only on one side so what's the answer
00:32:38.040 well the answer is for each of us to to do our part to make things better you know this is this is
00:32:43.820 another tenet about the greatness of america is that that people can actually make a positive
00:32:48.580 difference and if if somebody thinks that that they're you know they're concerned about where
00:32:53.520 they see our country right now and people should be because this is you know maybe one of the most
00:32:58.480 divided times we've seen since you know whether it's the 60s or the civil war uh there's not many
00:33:04.220 inflection points in our nation's history where we've been this divided uh but then we've come out
00:33:08.980 of those uh because people stepped up and said we're going to work to make it better and that's each
00:33:14.940 of us any any of us who don't like where this country is right now uh and where the temperature
00:33:19.900 is can all play a role in bringing that temperature down and and that's what i've been encouraging
00:33:24.860 uh i work on that myself we can always get better but anyone who today says hey i'm going to make it
00:33:31.280 better by shutting down somebody i disagree with politically that's not the answer it's never been
00:33:35.960 the answer we can all make it better that's what our focus needs to be some have said um that's a
00:33:43.600 reason why we shouldn't impeach the president we shouldn't go forward with the senate trial i mean
00:33:46.980 now he's been impeached a second time but and i know you did not support the impeachment effort but
00:33:51.060 the response to that has been what president trump did was so egregious even even if you give him
00:33:57.280 a pass on the events leading up to the riot at the capitol his dereliction of duty is the term used
00:34:04.360 during the event where he was reportedly watching it reportedly enjoying it reportedly had to be
00:34:10.240 cajoled into sending out the few tweets he did which you know in the midst of saying be peaceful
00:34:14.800 said we love you you're good people and continued to complain about the steal you know quote unquote
00:34:19.940 that that and not sending in the national guard sending out nasty tweets about mike pence as this
00:34:25.760 thing was underway and now we know mike pence was you know hiding for his life inside the capitol like
00:34:30.920 all of that i will say as a lawyer that's where you get a lot stronger in the attacks on president
00:34:37.620 trump's conduct so a do you think he committed an impeachable offense even though you didn't vote
00:34:42.320 for impeachment and b talk about what this trial if they have it is going to do to this need to lower
00:34:49.600 the powder keg volume well megan the first thing that that people should be wanting to do is to get
00:34:55.740 all the facts out i mean it literally was days less than a week after this happened where they brought
00:35:01.620 impeachment to the floor without even a hearing and it never happened in the history of our country
00:35:05.800 uh you know it was just a rush to one more time go after the president without even
00:35:11.500 being concerned about the facts facts are still coming out every day we're finding out more things
00:35:16.800 uh that's where the focus should be but also again to the point of you know does this help or further
00:35:23.260 divide our country uh clearly it's it's further divided the country and if they go forward in the senate
00:35:29.380 with some long trial uh it's going to be he will already be gone from office first of all you know we need
00:35:35.220 to be focusing on turning the corner on bringing our country back together but if the senate wants to
00:35:39.820 spend the first you know however many weeks of joe biden's presidency on an impeachment trial that
00:35:45.140 takes away from the things that we all should be working on to help get our country back on track
00:35:50.220 to round the corner on this virus to safely reopen schools and help people get back to work i mean
00:35:56.240 there are a lot of big things that we need to be doing uh and donald trump will not be in office
00:36:01.860 when that happens so and i should know that a lot of that what i just said is reporting from in
00:36:09.160 particular the washington post with one source unnamed anonymous to the president you know that's
00:36:16.200 that's problematic and that's why you do require a trial in the senate where the president would get to
00:36:22.060 defend himself and say that's not true here's what i actually did so we run with these media reports like
00:36:28.500 their gospel and we as we well know they're not okay last question um how are you how are you i mean
00:36:35.080 i saw you not long ago in the hallways of fox and you looked great but i'm sure the audience would love
00:36:41.100 to know how you're how you're holding up and physically how you've done since the attack in 17
00:36:46.100 yeah i appreciate it megan i uh look god god's been good to me i've been blessed i i get better all the
00:36:52.940 time i uh you know i do a lot of physical therapy still to i had to learn how to walk again i had to
00:36:58.140 uh you know rebuild strength back in my legs i still am working on that that's where the bulk of the
00:37:03.780 the remaining nerve damage is and so um you know work with work with folks that are helping me get
00:37:09.680 better and i put my energy into getting better and uh you know and and i you know say a lot of
00:37:14.920 prayers and thank the lord and uh you know look capital police megan uh you know again we talked
00:37:20.100 about the emotions of of two weeks ago uh i wouldn't be here without the heroism and bravery
00:37:25.280 of capital police and yet again you saw that on full display uh you know over 50 officers were beaten
00:37:31.940 and injured uh including officer signik who died another officer who committed suicide these are these
00:37:37.420 are heroes um you know a few of the members of my detail were on the floor that day and actually
00:37:43.100 helped secure the capital um you know some of them are on the cover of time magazine right now and
00:37:48.260 you know i think it reminds us all that um you know live every moment to the fullest uh respect
00:37:54.620 other people that disagree with us don't resort to violence and uh you know and just just thank the
00:38:00.280 lord for the blessings we have you were playing a ball game you were shot in the hip suffered from
00:38:06.960 critical wounds underwent several surgeries faced a lengthy recovery and i'll never forget when you
00:38:13.400 returned to congress to that standing ovation we didn't know if you would make it you know and
00:38:18.120 just the love you received there and the unity and the the moments where you just remember we're
00:38:22.940 rooting for one another you know we're american we love one another we may have political disagreements
00:38:27.800 but we're rooting for one another and i i hope i hope we can get back to that thanks for thanks for
00:38:34.400 helping and thanks for coming on and talking well we we need to get back to that uh it's great to be
00:38:39.380 with you megan and uh you take care god bless

00:41:00.160 let's start with this let's just start back at the capitol riot because i don't want to
00:41:08.060 diminish um the effect that it has had on the position of republicans they they went into that
00:41:16.800 day having lost both races in georgia and dejected thinking oh okay the democrats control the house
00:41:24.960 they control the senate now they control the white house there was no real chance of overturning it
00:41:29.180 that day notwithstanding what they've been told but things truly went from bad to worse and i know you
00:41:33.800 wrote if the left could have dreamed up something to truly damage the conservative cause they couldn't
00:41:39.580 have conjured up what happened at the capitol that day how bad was its impact on the republican
00:41:47.960 party and conservatives it's been devastating but it's not been devastating solely because of the event
00:41:55.100 it's been devastating because of how the media and the left have used it i've used the analogy of the
00:42:04.640 reistag fire which in a nutshell exactly one month after the nazis came to power hitler came to power
00:42:13.300 in 1933 just a month later the reistag that's the german parliament was set on fire it's pretty much
00:42:24.400 acknowledged today that one communist set the fire but it's irrelevant who set the fire because what the
00:42:32.860 nazis did was pass the enabling act said oh the threat to germany is so great we need more and more
00:42:41.160 power to suppress the communists and anybody who opposes the nazis the parallel is astonishing that's
00:42:49.480 what they're doing they're using this event which is one of untold number of violent events that took
00:43:00.060 place in the course of the last year and just this one because it's the only one that came from the
00:43:07.500 right has been manufactured into such a crisis that we can now suppress further opponents of the left
00:43:15.120 you cannot continue in your place of work the the mere appearance at the rally which was peaceful
00:43:24.140 and apparently hundreds of thousands of people versus a couple of hundred or what i don't know
00:43:29.560 what the number was that went to the capital but it a minuscule number and just appearing at the rally
00:43:38.620 or just having served in the trump administration now just like what the nazis did and i'm not comparing
00:43:45.460 the concentration camps or the death camps or the genocide or the or the jew hatred i'm not comparing
00:43:51.220 that aspect i'm comparing the aspect of totalitarian suppression of dissent yeah that's a hundred percent
00:43:59.600 what we're seeing it's being used as an excuse to shame republicans writ large trump supporters who are not
00:44:08.120 all republicans writ large um it's being used as a universal i told you so by the left by the media
00:44:16.980 for all of their bias their trump derangement syndrome their inability to see the other half
00:44:22.520 of the country through anything other than gray colored glasses now it's just spike the ball we were
00:44:30.360 right about all of it we've learned no lessons we're gonna triple down on everything we've been doing
00:44:37.000 and the republicans are a hundred percent out of power and i think feeling very powerless and in some
00:44:43.340 cases scared they have every right to be the the left which i have been a student of my entire life i
00:44:51.840 my field of study it's a very rare major as they say when i was columbia's school of international
00:45:00.280 affairs at the russian institute my field of study was called communist affairs there were i think seven
00:45:06.920 of us the entire university and uh you may find this of interest the the person who
00:45:14.060 taught the advanced seminar on communism was big near brzezinski who became jimmy carter's national
00:45:20.780 security council head and mika's father that's right so just there's a little tidbit of of interest
00:45:28.600 there so i've been studying the left my entire life and this is what people they just don't appreciate
00:45:35.520 because the the ignorance of history is overwhelming there is no example of the left attaining power
00:45:45.100 and not suppressing dissent there is it it is like asking for a horse uh that uh that has a tusks or
00:45:56.680 swims or some silly analogy it doesn't exist the left suppresses dissent by definition it started
00:46:05.420 with lenin in russia in 1917 and continued to the university what you see at the university is a
00:46:12.240 perfect example they're in power and they suppress dissent so any one of your listeners cannot give me
00:46:20.560 an example of the left being in power and not suppressing dissent liberals welcome free speech
00:46:25.800 conservatives welcome free speech the left does not by definition so increasingly you are going to have
00:46:33.840 the suppression of free speech the fact that that donald trump does not have a vehicle in social
00:46:40.580 media to speak that should astonish people but it doesn't that's why i wrote my column which went sort
00:46:48.740 of viral of a weekly column and i i wrote one two weeks ago called the good german and how i now
00:46:56.560 understand the good german and the good russian better because everybody i was raised and everybody
00:47:04.320 was whoever thought about this stuff oh how could these people stay silent not talking about the evil
00:47:10.880 ones not not the evil communist in russia who sent people to the gulag or the the evil nazi who sent
00:47:18.160 jews at the jews at the camps i'm talking about the good german but now i understand if they kept quiet
00:47:25.720 fearing the gestapo they kept quiet feeling the nkvd the predecessor of the kgb in the soviet union
00:47:33.080 we don't have a gestapo we don't have a kgb and there's and americans are still silent because there is a
00:47:40.360 strong hand even though we don't have a gestapo we have groups threatening to blacklist you we have an
00:47:47.240 editor at forbes openly saying any business that would hire uh kaylee mcenany or sarah sanders somebody
00:47:53.360 who spoke for the president will be deemed a liar the corp the company itself will be deemed a liar
00:47:58.760 by forbes like more pushes by these groups like a lincoln project not to hire anybody associated with
00:48:04.640 trump or who quote enabled him and now you know i was just talking about this with steve scalise there's a push
00:48:10.800 by some morons at places like harvard to take away the degrees of senators like hawley and
00:48:16.600 cruz who spoke up on this you know alleged voter fraud stuff like it's getting i want to say absurd
00:48:24.060 but it's working so i i don't know if i can say that no no it is it's not it it's a it's absurd in
00:48:30.960 some objective way measuring reality to absurdity but it's evil and it's evil because the left is evil
00:48:41.280 liberals are not evil conservatives aren't evil the left is evil and the the lack of
00:48:48.420 the lack of protest uh from liberals is the crisis of the country the left is evil and the liberals are
00:48:58.060 the useful idiots of the left they're nice people some of the best people i know are liberals
00:49:04.380 then they're they're in my extended family i love these people but they are used by the left
00:49:10.120 as useful idiots and they play the role because they have been brainwashed into believing that
00:49:15.840 conservatives are their enemy and not the left the one of the only liberals who understands the left
00:49:21.940 is the enemy of liberalism is alan dershowitz dershowitz has been pilloried by the left because they think
00:49:27.860 he's gone conservative no he's still a liberal he's just still espousing liberal principles like
00:49:34.480 free speech especially when you hate what's being said that's what free speech is all about i i agree
00:49:41.800 with you that it's absurd trump is banned from twitter but when somebody says what do we do about all the
00:49:49.580 violent rhetoric what do we do about threats appearing all over facebook and parlor that could potentially
00:49:55.340 endanger others at a rally or on capitol hill what's the answer a bona fide threat uh is obviously
00:50:04.580 unacceptable in fact the bona fide threat is illegal people make violent threats uh they you know i we will
00:50:13.480 blow up the u.s senate on on monday anybody who says that should be arrested uh that's but
00:50:21.020 it's it's like saying what how can we allow cars on the road when tens of thousands of people a year
00:50:31.340 are killed by drunk drivers part of the risk of driving is that drunk drivers exist you can't abolish
00:50:39.900 highways because uh drunk drivers exist you can't abolish social media for for people because some bad
00:50:49.180 people exist it's an excuse it's all the reichstag fire it's only an excuse to shut us up what what
00:50:55.920 the conservative world in fact what the liberal world if it had honor but what any of us have to do
00:51:02.460 is we have to disengage we must create an alternate united states let them make the soviet states of
00:51:09.280 america and we will make this the free states of america i see no alternative and the first thing
00:51:14.580 people need to do is get their kids out of out of regular schools that's where the poison begins
00:51:21.460 you send your child to a typical school in the united states and that's private or public it's
00:51:27.280 irrelevant the typical school in the united states teaches your child to have contempt for you
00:51:34.200 for everything you stand for and of course for america why people would do that i understand why
00:51:41.120 because it's so tough in their minds and i understand that to homeschool or to find a school
00:51:46.180 that doesn't indoctrinate their children and hatred but uh people should understand sending their kid to
00:51:53.260 now it's not just college it's just as much first grade you'll get a drag queen study study hour and you
00:52:00.060 will get the new york times 1619 a lie the project of the new york times which liberal historians who hate
00:52:09.480 trump have called a lie sean malentz at princeton the leading one and we have to disengage the united
00:52:17.460 states is being taken over by leftist totalitarians so uh the only non-violent response and i want a
00:52:26.920 non-violent response i want to emphasize that is to get away from them we will create a better place
00:52:34.160 better space of freedom on the internet better schools better children kinder happier people
00:52:41.800 have you ever in your life met a happy leftist i have not i wrote a book on happiness i do an hour
00:52:47.460 on happiness uh every week on my radio show i've been doing it since 1999 i i i know a lot about
00:52:55.860 happiness there are no happy leftists a happy leftists a happy leftist is an oxymoron
00:53:02.420 these are bitter angry unhappy unfulfilled empty people the whole left with the that as as douglas
00:53:11.320 murray a gay atheist uh but conservative has as he points out the whole made by the death of the
00:53:18.720 judeo-christian religions has been filled by leftism when i'm a jew and i'm telling you when christianity
00:53:26.520 dies in the west you don't get boy scouts you get communism fascism and nazism barry weiss was just
00:53:34.880 she she offered her her opening uh piece on substack and touched on this a bit about predictions about
00:53:43.340 what would happen in germany if christianity was gone and left a void um by the way she's coming on
00:53:49.080 the program as is douglas murray so we've got we've got both of those voices covered but
00:53:53.220 can i just back up on a couple of things you said so you were saying liberals are the useful idiots
00:53:58.340 i i understand the position they're in i think to to a large extent they're in the same boat
00:54:04.280 as people on the right who don't have whatever an independent microphone or independent wealth
00:54:11.360 or the ability to put their kids in private school like a catholic school or an orthodox school
00:54:16.620 or homeschool their kids because they're at work they're freaking scared the the left has seized
00:54:24.200 control of so many institutions okay i'll speak up but then little johnny's not going to get into a
00:54:30.000 good college because they really will make a mark on his permanent record okay i'll speak up but
00:54:35.740 corporate america right now has gone as woke as we could ever have feared and they're not going to
00:54:41.900 want little johnny because he's a human being who will have made mistakes by the time he has to apply
00:54:46.500 for jobs you know little johnny any misstep he makes the media could take the story run with it
00:54:53.860 and exploit it in a way that's completely cruel and inhuman to a child but they'll do it if it serves
00:55:00.440 their own purposes of making themselves seems seem virtuous look at nick sandman and the the hit job
00:55:06.980 they did on that kid at the capitol uh and which you know he ultimately sued and won but
00:55:11.180 look at even just the liberals who tried to sign that letter circulated by thomas chatterton williams
00:55:16.940 who's a liberal who's not woke he's a person of color um no rejected they were mocked mercilessly
00:55:25.680 you have platforms who do you think you are give me a break you know i just don't think i think liberals
00:55:32.320 are still in the in the point of a seeking the approval of the left they still think they're
00:55:36.380 winnable and b they're they're frightened and i and i don't think the the scare the the the fright
00:55:42.800 they're feeling is unjustified so when you say we break off you know those of us who are still sane
00:55:47.960 i mean what does that actually look like glenn beck was talking about secession that's but that's not
00:55:52.560 real a realistic option you know it's no political secession is not realistic and i didn't advocate it
00:55:58.120 i i advocate secession wherever possible that we create our own media that we most important the
00:56:06.820 most the most power we have i think is with regard to schools if the kids don't go to schools
00:56:13.420 then the the citadel the seminaries of the left are crushed they that's that's where i think that's
00:56:22.440 where the battle has to be made so the kid won't get into a good college so let me be heretical for a
00:56:27.800 moment i have two sons they can vouch for this i raise them with the following i don't give a damn
00:56:35.460 what college you get into in fact i don't give a damn if you go to college i only care about your
00:56:40.480 character that's how i raise them and my friends i you know i'm jewish jews are preoccupied with what
00:56:49.440 you know what school their kid goes to i have a joke when i tell it the speeches in jewish
00:56:54.800 uh in jewish venues that uh people frequently come over to me airports etc then i don't know if the
00:57:05.680 person is a jew a christian an atheist or anything uh but uh i know i know the person's a jew if one
00:57:12.160 of the first things they tell me is what college their daughter goes to that's this that's the
00:57:19.240 giveaway oh because their definition their self-definition asians have have this characteristic
00:57:24.600 too in many instances their self-definition is what college their kid goes to i i have never felt that
00:57:32.540 as i said i don't care if my kid i care about my kid's character because in the final analysis that's
00:57:37.640 what's going to get you through life is your character your integrity not what college you went to
00:57:42.220 i often point out in in this regard i've been broadcasting 35 years i broadcast on every subject
00:57:49.800 under the sun uh male female relations happiness religion psychology and of course the political
00:57:57.380 events of the day i have been asked every question imaginable on my open lines there was only one
00:58:04.640 question no one has ever thought to ask me not at a speech not on the radio dennis just
00:58:12.020 curious what college did you go to isn't that interesting right it doesn't it doesn't mean
00:58:17.380 anything in fact i wish i could say none then then it's oh but he seems pretty bright he seems
00:58:26.720 pretty knowledgeable like i'm constantly reminding people um harvard i'm sure it's a wonderful school
00:58:32.600 i i hear gives you know amazing credentials to people and amazing connections and i have
00:58:38.100 had a lot of people from harvard working for me and i went to syracuse and you know was middling on
00:58:46.120 the sat at best it's it's not all about and i had zero connections zero it's not all about where you go
00:58:52.700 to school it's about how tenacious you are being smart enough to figure out where your gifts lie and
00:58:58.960 then finding a job in which you can exploit them fully and then putting in the time and the hard work
00:59:03.460 but i i do think the the schools still have a hold on people in the way you described i i just over the
00:59:10.280 holiday went to a very sort of hoity-toity place a ski mountain where there's a lot of wealth and
00:59:18.680 heard the story of one family who they got their three kids into ivy league colleges and the three
00:59:25.760 children now hate the parents and mock the money that they made mock the plane that flies the children
00:59:36.280 to the ski mountain right like that they take advantage of all of it but they hate it so they're
00:59:41.540 better people and it's really driven a wedge between the children and the parents as a family
00:59:47.660 because these colleges are making their children hate anyone their parents included who is not not just
00:59:55.440 leftist center but a leftist it's amazing because i tell the story of the man on one of my prager
01:00:04.380 cruises as they're called i've been doing this for 25 years gone to all seven continents uh this way
01:00:12.180 and it it's not it's not an inexpensive cruise we go on the best ships so that's important to the
01:00:20.680 story because it exactly echoes yours so i'm speaking to a man there who uh is very successful
01:00:27.220 businessman and a committed christian so as is my want i ask people i meet you know about themselves
01:00:36.680 i'm always interested in people's lives and you have kids you have three sons actually and anyway in a
01:00:43.360 nutshell uh he tells me they all have phds stanford yale and princeton and he said sounds like i really
01:00:52.760 did a good job doesn't it turns out he said they're all leftists and it's exactly what you described
01:00:59.480 that is why i said they if you send your kid to regular school unless they are spectacularly
01:01:06.360 intellectually and morally equipped to withstand the indoctrination you are sending them to a place
01:01:13.720 that will teach them to have contempt for you leftism is a cult and the first thing that is taught
01:01:22.500 in every cult is to reject parental authority that's why you may find this of interest i hope you do
01:01:31.020 i uh i am finishing volume three of a five volume commentary um the first five books of the bible
01:01:40.640 the torah it's called the rational bible and i will make a plug for it is the best-selling bible
01:01:46.880 commentary in america and i know biblical hebrew very well and i'm capable of doing this and
01:01:53.320 of course the ten commandments are found in two of the books exodus and deuteronomy and i'm always
01:02:00.780 asked always is a little exaggerated but when i talk about the ten commandments people frequently
01:02:06.280 will say so what do you think is the most important commandment and over the course of a lifetime of
01:02:11.440 teaching this i've had different answers my answer now was honor your father and mother that is that
01:02:16.620 is what prevents totalitarianism the first thing they tear down is parental authority and your your
01:02:24.840 story and my story are examples of that and you're right it starts it's starting earlier and earlier
01:02:32.420 as we as we hear these stories about children abigail schreier has been doing an amazing job she wrote the
01:02:39.120 book irreversible damage but her tweets always update what's happening on this front um more and more
01:02:45.820 children are being allowed to leave their high school and sometimes middle school campuses without
01:02:53.400 their parents knowing to get um puberty blockers or cross-gender hormones like testosterone for young
01:03:01.560 women and now she was just highlighting the other day you could have a one-hour zoom with a so-called
01:03:08.480 therapist who could write these prescriptions for you and your parents will never know about it
01:03:13.720 and the this the attitude by these schools is the parents rights they stop at the schoolhouse door
01:03:20.860 i mean if you if we don't start fighting that legally we need a legal foundation that starts fighting these
01:03:27.640 battles to set the world right again because we don't have to surrender those battles when it comes to
01:03:32.640 our children and the underage schooling we we have a legal leg to stand on well we have a legal leg to stand on
01:03:41.520 if it the legal institutions are not co-opted by the left that's that is our hope of course they might pack the
01:03:52.560 court now and and and anything is possible they might without packing the court extend the number of federal
01:04:00.080 judges which is what i think they will do so look it's it's an unprecedented threat to america
01:04:09.920 the left's threat to this country which is basically neo neo-communist everybody knows neo-fascist neo-nazi
01:04:18.620 there's a neo-communist threat is unprecedented in american history the last time was the civil war
01:04:27.040 this is and i've i've written this we're in a civil war but and i've always added thank god it's non-violent
01:04:34.380 here's another thing that i've said all of my life people say evil is dark it's not true
01:04:40.780 it's easy to look into the dark doesn't hurt your eyes evil is so bright that you can't look at it
01:04:49.240 people turn away so that's the the normal reaction this is back to my good german article the normal
01:04:57.860 reaction of even decent people to evil is not wow we better fight it's it really doesn't exist
01:05:07.040 and that's that's the crisis that people don't understand the magnitude of the undoing of america
01:05:16.200 that is taking place now yeah and as as we see crackdowns outside of the universities and so i mean
01:05:23.220 there as well but now uh in the wake of the capital riot on free speech you see a push to pressure the
01:05:29.840 advertisers of fox news not to advertise that was from nicholas christoph of the new york times
01:05:33.880 they're so quick to go after speech they don't like not thinking for a moment what will happen when
01:05:40.060 the pendulum if it ever swings the other way and of course what the first amendment was there for in
01:05:44.980 the first place and it's just the concept of free speech outside of the constitution which is to
01:05:49.000 protect not speech you love but speech you do not like that's what makes america special you know
01:05:54.740 they they don't just want to disagree with fox news now or ben shapiro now or anybody who's on the right
01:06:01.380 they want you shut down and maybe they'll win dennis but winning that battle could be losing the war
01:06:10.740 because as you and i well know it doesn't stop those conversations it doesn't stop people's belief
01:06:15.320 systems they may get shoved underground but they're still there percolating i think that's when things
01:06:20.340 get really dangerous if they really do manage not just to keep conservatives off of college campuses
01:06:25.560 and out of corporate america and off of espn and off of the sports teams or you know forced to kneel when
01:06:31.100 they don't want to when they stop the conversation and and the ability of people right of center or
01:06:37.480 slightly left of center to talk about how they actually feel on difficult issues now we're really in
01:06:43.120 trouble that's correct we are really in trouble and it's almost impossible to envision a non-violent
01:06:51.040 conclusion to all of this when you it's a pretty simple rule of life when you stop a hundred million
01:06:59.760 people or a hundred people if you prevent them from exercising their civil liberties peacefully
01:07:11.520 they're they're going to express their peaceful liberties non-peacefully
01:07:17.120 uh it's i don't i don't see why that's not inevitable you you can't do this it's just not a threat
01:07:27.300 it's it's like saying that you know if you if you uh if you put water in a freezer ice comes out
01:07:36.840 there are certain rules of life this is a rule of life if you suppress people for a long enough time
01:07:43.440 you will end up with bad things at the end especially when you're talking about half the
01:07:49.320 country yes half the cost i said a hundred million that's right which is not half yet but but there's
01:07:55.420 a conservative figure that's correct we have 74 million people voted for donald trump not every
01:08:01.960 not every single conservative in this country or non-leftist voted for donald trump that is why
01:08:08.700 though i go back to the liberals the liberals are afraid of the left that is correct everybody's
01:08:12.800 afraid of the left for good reason that the left is vicious but the liberals vote left that's what i
01:08:19.980 condemn them for they nobody knows what they do in the ballot uh at the ballot box there they they
01:08:27.200 could have but they they were in thrall of the they still are they fear the left and they vote left
01:08:36.280 that is why they're useful litigants for the left i want to get to more of what they're voting for now
01:08:43.980 because i know you've been critical of impeachment i thought it was interesting you said they've ruined
01:08:47.800 it the left has ruined impeachment it's meaningless now um and i'm gonna ask ask you about that in one
01:08:53.340 second but first i gotta get a an ad in this is actually a good one too i i like this i'd never heard
01:08:58.220 of this problem before um you think you could be robbed on the street you think it might be able to
01:09:02.880 you know get robbed in your house when you're not there hopefully if it has to happen
01:09:06.040 but you could get robbed just sitting around not paying attention because there's something called
01:09:11.300 home title theft and it's not good you better pray this thing never happens to you it can ruin you
01:09:15.960 financially and here's how the crime happens see the legal titles to all of our homes are kept online
01:09:20.840 where they can be hacked a cyber thief with relatively little effort sadly can find your home's
01:09:26.580 title they can forge your signature on a quick claim deed stating you sold your home to them and then the
01:09:32.780 guy will take out loans against your home until your equity is gone you won't even know what happened
01:09:37.840 until the collection calls start pouring in you're not protected by insurance by your bank or by any of the
01:09:43.520 common identity theft programs home title lock will be there for you they can protect you and in the
01:09:49.820 unlikely event that you actually do become a victim of title theft even though you have a relationship
01:09:53.620 with them you're a member of home title lock they will actually spend up to a quarter million dollars
01:09:58.160 in legal fees to help restore your home's title that's putting your money where your mouth is so go

01:10:18.080 back to talking about impeachment i want to ask you to participate if you would in a segment we have here
01:10:23.120 on the show called asked and answered and this is where we take a viewer question or a listener question
01:10:27.760 about something in the news and i think this is a good one for you and i to kick around steve krakauer
01:10:32.820 has got the question from one of our listeners and i guess what's the what's the email steve if anybody else
01:10:38.500 wants to write in that's right yeah this one came in from questions at devil may care media dot com
01:10:43.540 it's a good one uh we're getting a lot of great questions there it is from richie misucanis and he
01:10:48.140 wants to know what do you think is going to happen to liberal cities now that people have had enough
01:10:52.720 of failed policies and are moving out do you think they will be forced to change their course
01:10:57.460 uh and dennis i know you're on the west coast as well so it could be a good one to you for you to
01:11:01.340 weigh in on also like there's been conflicting information on whether there are these mass exoduses but
01:11:08.580 um one bloomberg report at least found that san fran and new york city were two cities that had
01:11:13.880 the biggest move out rate in 2020 in comparison to previous years and uh the move outs in new york
01:11:20.540 city were up something like 45 compared to last year um people are leaving and and they're they tend
01:11:26.780 to be going to red states texas florida georgia arizona north carolina so what do you think is the
01:11:34.340 result of that amazingly the result is that these red states become blue states people leave what
01:11:43.860 the left destroys and then they go to a place that's healthy because because it's run by republicans
01:11:50.560 conservatives like florida and then they poison those states with the values that ruined the state
01:11:58.680 that they fled from it's an astonishing thing it's truly astonishing and they're all well educated
01:12:06.340 which proves my point you become stupid in most cases the more degrees you have i i never speak in
01:12:13.700 hyperbole i believe what i've just said do you know that on occasion on my radio show a person will call
01:12:20.580 and say something truly foolish and i'm known for being respectful to all callers
01:12:26.280 and it's a reputation i've earned but i i will say to the person i'm just curious uh what college did
01:12:34.180 you go to and they'll say well how do you know i went to college i'll say because you have to go to
01:12:39.940 college to say something that stupid and it's not meant and i said i'm not insulting you i'm insulting
01:12:46.260 college college has taught you to say stupid things people just do you mentioned this earlier
01:12:54.620 here's a perfect test ask people on the street can men give birth
01:13:00.380 only college educated and especially graduate school graduates will say yes you have to go to
01:13:09.840 graduate school to say men give birth i think you're exactly right right because you you do get
01:13:16.860 that liberal indoctrination where you you're suddenly told black is white white is black up is down
01:13:23.260 down is up everything everything you thought you knew you don't know and by the way you're a racist
01:13:28.340 and you're a sexist and you're a transphobe and you're you're all the things and we have to deprogram
01:13:32.680 you in order to make you a good person so you leave confused and then you see somebody like jk rowling
01:13:38.460 who raises a point like that like no men can't menstruate and then she tries they try to de-platform
01:13:44.900 her and ban her and people are like oh holy shit i kind of believe what jk rowling believes but i can't
01:13:51.160 say anything um and then you're right because what you see happening is normal people who don't really
01:13:57.060 want to live like that or don't want to live under these oppressive tax policies or you know in
01:14:01.180 permanent lockdown in california decide to leave they move to someplace like georgia then next thing you
01:14:06.960 know georgia controls both senate seats on the dem side something that's never happened before
01:14:11.080 and the country is turning more blue at the state level certainly at the national level as a result
01:14:18.160 of this last election but i was just saying the other day to eric bowling you tell me what you think
01:14:22.400 dennis i think that the best thing the republicans have going for them is all this nonsense and it's it's
01:14:30.420 not just oh the wokesters they're what a pain in the ass it this is a massive problem the country's
01:14:35.800 undergoing three four years ago i'd never heard the term woke i didn't know what that meant
01:14:40.940 i knew what political correctness was but this has changed america and it will continue to
01:14:48.000 state by state uh government agency by government agency unless the people who are against it get
01:14:55.380 their acts together and it's not about leaving a city right it's it's it could be for whatever your
01:15:01.420 reasons are but it's also about fighting in the cities that we're in well of course that's my my
01:15:06.080 biggest argument is that we have to fight but when they control people i i you're the one who made the
01:15:14.360 point which i agree with people are afraid of losing their jobs i can fight because i'm paid to fight
01:15:21.120 it i think i have courage but i i don't need courage to speak out in my radio show
01:15:28.720 that's i work for a conservative place a conservative radio talk show company so if i worked at a regular
01:15:44.560 place and i and i simply if tweeted out an article by dennis prager what would happen
01:15:53.460 this is new in american life brand new it never happened at at the worst of mccarthyism this did
01:16:01.320 not happen there's there's nothing there's no comparison but so yes of course people have to fight
01:16:07.340 and i i i took a vow at normandy beach many years ago when i saw all these graves of uh tombstones of
01:16:17.180 of guys 20 years old on average and i said look if they could die
01:16:23.200 fighting for america and liberty the least i could do is live for america and liberty and i took that
01:16:31.980 vow and i and i have tried to live by it but that is this is a war that there we're in a war to deny it
01:16:39.200 that is to engage in ostrich-like behavior and the liberals will be consumed by it that's what
01:16:48.680 that's what my study of soviet history taught me the mensheviks were devoured by the bolsheviks
01:16:55.660 the mensheviks were outnumbered the bolsheviks the bolsheviks by the way i don't expect any of your
01:17:01.740 listeners to know this but bolshevik means majority nick like bolshoi ballet bolshoi in russian means
01:17:08.760 big and the bolsheviks were the smaller group but they took the name big group and mention means
01:17:16.660 less so it was the less nicks and the big mix but the big mix were smaller than the less nicks
01:17:23.820 and and they won and then they crushed they killed the mensheviks that's what the left does
01:17:31.840 and uh you know i've been sounding this alarm all of my life you mentioned about the left and i don't
01:17:39.880 remember which institution it was that it's ruining here's a rule of life everything the left touches it
01:17:46.920 destroys conservatives build and liberals build and the left destroys the i became aware of it first
01:17:57.760 because i i conduct orchestras as an avocation i'm very involved in music and the the left from the
01:18:05.500 beginning of the 20th century basically destroyed classical music with atonal music atonal music
01:18:11.180 should be an oxymoron no no melody no key no harmony uh it's it's it's cacophony it's just sounds
01:18:20.340 and this is that they were awoke from the beginning of the 20th century then the arts
01:18:25.960 do you know how many major museums feature scatological art art of fecal matter art of
01:18:33.900 urine art of menstrual blood i mean it's now common i'm sorry come on oh uh well in my book about the
01:18:44.160 left and america still the best hope i document uh people should look up look this up have your
01:18:50.300 list you you listeners to this uh podcast should list look up new york times uh fecal matter
01:18:58.020 dutch museum i guess that would be a perfect way to get to it a giant piece in the new york times a few
01:19:04.120 years ago about giant turds that's what they were called giant turds at a big museum in holland
01:19:11.560 and the author took it seriously the author they in the music section they took seriously
01:19:18.860 a guy who played a piece only using the note d for one hour do you know that there is a piece
01:19:28.040 where you just sit at the piano for four minutes i don't know it's four minutes 36 seconds i think
01:19:34.020 it's called four minutes 36 seconds maybe four minutes 26 seconds a pianist sits at a piano
01:19:40.840 and does nothing and this is taken seriously ah we have time we could just hear people clearing
01:19:47.740 their throats or or just hear the sound of the air conditioning system the so everything they touch
01:19:54.020 the arts religion left wing the left wing damage to judaism and christianity and catholicism is uh is
01:20:02.260 lethal it's mortal and the the damage to the universities the high schools the elementary schools
01:20:09.560 the damage to the nfl to the nba the damage to late night television the damage to the word
01:20:15.780 impeachment that's where you said it yes that's what prompted me to say this everything they touch
01:20:22.400 they destroy the boy scouts is there a left wing boy scouts what is the left wing constructed for
01:20:27.400 young men nothing that's what they do they destroy okay so my one of my teammates has sent me the
01:20:35.720 article in the new york times june 7th 2018 here's the opening paragraph rotterdam the netherlands
01:20:40.860 when i entered the exhibition i was invited to get nude i searched a clothes rack filled with skin
01:20:47.840 toned naked costumes featuring all shapes and sizes of male and female genitalia and chose a peach color
01:20:55.060 hermaphroditic garment with teddy bear fur a male member between its legs and wide set breasts
01:21:01.740 i put it on over my clothes then i walked into the excrement four giant turds inside of the 16 000
01:21:10.320 square foot of museum space you know dennis all i could think when i see this is somebody i follow
01:21:16.540 on twitter who i really like was tweeting out about you know how new york is suffering mightily under
01:21:22.380 these insufferable you know lockdowns as i know california is as well and um the homeless have
01:21:28.920 become you know they they took a bunch of homeless people many of whom had been convicted of crimes
01:21:33.600 put them in three hotels on the upper west side something like 30 percent of them were reportedly
01:21:38.400 pedophiles and um some have been removed but some haven't and there's been open um let's say use of
01:21:46.200 the sidewalk as as bathrooms that people have been complaining about and she had witnessed this this
01:21:51.380 tweeter uh had witnessed somebody doing that and she decided that the new nickname for our city should be
01:21:56.980 the big crapple and i think maybe there's a way we can connect these people on the streets of new york
01:22:04.920 with these people in rotterdam and you know save somebody some material costs i don't know maybe some
01:22:11.280 good can come out of these bizarre alliances um okay you know i didn't make it up put back on to
01:22:18.080 something actually important which is not excrement or it could be depending on your view which is
01:22:23.380 impeachment um i think it's an interesting take they've ruined it it is something like how many
01:22:29.020 times can you do it before i'm like oh he got impeached again i mean like for me i see why they
01:22:34.760 did this one i see it i get it that it's too late they already they already took us down this lane you
01:22:40.900 know it really is a boy who cried wolf situation it lost its teeth because you did it already on
01:22:46.020 something that was kind of baloney that didn't persuade anybody so now when you really need
01:22:50.840 us to believe your righteous indignation okay well that's right i mean with a week to go to impeach
01:22:59.960 a president and now the claim that you can impeach a president who's not a president why don't they
01:23:04.520 impeach me i i don't i'm serious i should be impeached i'm not i'm not president and donald trump
01:23:10.600 won't be president as of wednesday so what's the difference but they are impeaching us i mean that's
01:23:17.440 the irony is i am being impeached every every non-leftist is no the the crisis is is astonishing
01:23:26.000 and combined with when i wrote the good german it was it was not just about what the left is doing
01:23:32.320 in terms of civil liberties it's it's also the crackdown the crushing of business people's
01:23:39.760 people's people's livelihoods it's like they have decided we don't want any independent restaurants
01:23:46.080 we're great with chains that the the left loves big business they loathe little business there was no
01:23:55.760 medical rationale for the the lockdowns florida didn't lock down florida has the largest number
01:24:02.800 of old people in the country only maine has per capita more but the only mean is a tiny state
01:24:09.600 florida should have a gigantic death rate when i visited to florida i i wrote my column
01:24:18.400 was the sovietization of california i when i when i left florida in december last month i had some
01:24:27.520 lectures and visited my son and his kids and i felt just like i did in my 20s when i used to go every
01:24:39.200 year to eastern europe because i'd go to communist countries i'd go down or up so poland czechoslovakia
01:24:46.960 hungary east germany romania bulgaria and then the next year i went south north but in the middle
01:24:54.160 to breathe i'd stop in vienna in a free country and i wrote i felt going from florida back to
01:25:04.320 california the way i felt going from vienna back into east europe yeah you can't you can't even eat
01:25:12.640 at a restaurant outside in california that is correct we still have our outside restaurants even though
01:25:18.800 it's january and it's 29 degrees at least it's still an option california is gone they have gone
01:25:25.440 full big government will rule your life and if you don't accept it you're a bad person because science
01:25:32.800 that's what they keep telling us dennis and you took that on your column as well the uh this notion
01:25:37.760 follow science is is another left-wing lie they don't follow science they follow scientists and they
01:25:44.160 only follow the scientists they agree with they they suppress the scientists they don't agree with
01:25:50.480 you cannot advocate hydroxychloroquine or ivermectin and zinc on the internet basically it will be shut
01:25:59.520 down despite the fact that thousands of doctors know and use this one of the reasons and i would stake my
01:26:07.120 reputation on this one of the reasons for the high death rate in the high death number i should say
01:26:14.720 it's not a high death rate but high death number is that we do nothing for people in the very early
01:26:21.120 stages and we do nothing to prevent they're getting serious covid indications this is this is a scandal
01:26:32.160 a a human moral medical scandal that people are not told to take vitamin d in large doses
01:26:40.480 and i i i've been taking hydroxychloroquine and now ivermectin for half a year i have hugged hundreds
01:26:49.760 literally hundreds of strangers at rallies that i've spoken at unmasked hug people and i i i not only
01:27:00.960 advocate hydroxychloroquine and zinc i take it there's much more scientific evidence of hydroxychloroquine
01:27:08.240 and ivermectin and zinc working than there is masks working or shutdowns working they don't follow
01:27:15.360 science it's a lie it's a gigantic lie like the 1619 project i've told this story before but one of my
01:27:21.920 doctors who shall remain nameless for this purpose for the purposes of this conversation told me over the
01:27:27.280 summer that uh he was taking hydroxychloroquine and that every doctor he knew was taking it
01:27:32.400 and that none of them could say it publicly it was like they all believed that it would help prevent
01:27:37.120 covid but they had been shamed out of saying it the left left has killed tens of thousands of americans
01:27:43.680 by suppressing the use of hydroxychloroquine and zinc they are they are they are they have shed blood
01:27:51.680 blood from fauci to your local democratic governor do you think that what we saw at the capitol you
01:28:01.200 know these protesters who decided to storm and and break the law and the anger good god you know what
01:28:08.400 actually i forgot to run this we have a soundbite of some of the rioters and just their anger let's
01:28:15.200 play it and then i'm going to ask my question everybody in there is a disgrace that entire
01:28:20.800 building is filled with treasonous trade yes sir death is the only remedy for what's in that building
01:28:28.480 every single one of those capital law enforcement officers death is the remedy
01:28:36.480 they have defied their oath so my question is do you think like how closely do you think
01:28:44.640 the two things are related the the lockdown and the government overreach we've seen of the past year
01:28:49.520 the devastation of people's bank accounts ability to work lifelong career efforts um you know shops
01:28:57.760 and then on top of that letting them get burned over the summer you know with not as much as a shoulder
01:29:03.760 shrug you know like in fact public defenses of those doing the burning and the looting i just wonder how
01:29:10.400 closely those two events events are in your mind how related they are related but the people who stormed
01:29:18.080 the capitol and yelled those things are a minuscule fraction of republicans of trump supporters
01:29:26.880 so there isn't much to be learned it's you know what is to be learned from a guy who you know molests
01:29:35.200 children this is a a a very small percentage of of humanity that does terrible things i don't know
01:29:43.760 what there is to be learned you have you have to try to get these people before they hurt a child
01:29:49.840 what is to be learned is that the media of this country are phonies they the president was correct
01:29:58.480 totally correct about the fake news media we have witnessed this massive burning of cities
01:30:06.000 and a takeover of police departments establishment of independent zones nothing happened and then one
01:30:14.960 time the right erupts and that is the dominant issue of the country the fbi has arrested more people
01:30:22.720 uh has done more work to find who did this than they did that the the people who looted which is
01:30:30.640 called stealing in my book the people who just violently stole the people who burned down buildings and
01:30:37.680 businesses i'll tell you the eeriest thing of the of the last year uh a friend of mine in santa
01:30:45.440 monica california santa monica is quite left-wing city or or and uh told me that near his house
01:30:54.720 all the stores were boarded up because of left-wing violence which nobody said a word about for six months
01:31:01.440 as you pointed out and he said take a look at go to this in this address and you will see on the
01:31:08.800 board that brought up this particular business it says black owned and i took a picture of it
01:31:20.560 and it gave me it gave me the shivers because that's what happened in germany as well to avoid the nazis
01:31:28.880 people would scroll on their on their business aryan owned how's that for a
01:31:36.080 unfortunate parallel so steve scalise was saying we're in a powder keg right now
01:31:43.760 and i think it's true i think certainly president trump's rhetoric hasn't been helpful him and his
01:31:49.280 surrogates but one of the thing that things that's really irritating me right now is there's been no
01:31:55.520 accountability on the left for what they've done to get us here and there's there's actually been a
01:32:00.480 doubling down i'm concerned because i think over the next year we're still going to be locked down
01:32:06.240 they're saying we won't have her herd immunity until december of 2021 at the earliest and i don't think
01:32:11.600 that the country is emotionally prepared for 12 more months of this uh and i think that factored in
01:32:17.760 with the political upheavals that were we've been talking about doesn't bode well and by the way i was
01:32:22.800 promised 2021 it was going to be a lot better than 2020 dennis um is there is there anything that we
01:32:29.440 feel hopeful about going into you know this next week and month i'm asked all the time am i a pessimist
01:32:36.640 my pessimistic or optimistic my answer has been neither because they're both unhelpful the optimist
01:32:44.800 doesn't fight because he thinks things will turn out well the pessimist doesn't fight because he's sure
01:32:50.720 things will turn out poorly so i don't think about hope i don't think about pessimism i don't think about
01:32:58.800 optimism i have this life to live i will fight evil and my favorite verse in the bible is those who
01:33:06.720 love god hate evil not not everybody knows that verse it's a beauty if you don't hate evil you're
01:33:14.560 morally corrupt you're a coward everybody can fight in their own way or as i always point out they can
01:33:21.200 help the fighters help help the media that are broadcasting truth help the organizations i mean
01:33:29.280 i'm not i'm not here to make a plug for prager you but we are affecting a lot of young people that's
01:33:36.400 why they hate us because we have such rational powerful videos up with uh billions literally billions of
01:33:43.520 views we we fight and people need to help the fighters and fight but i i don't think in terms
01:33:52.560 of pessimism and optimism i just think about what am i morally bound to do this country is the beacon of
01:34:01.920 hope to mankind this is the country that got the statue of liberty no other country got it it was given by
01:34:08.080 france this is the country whose flag the hong kong demonstrators for freedom wave they didn't wave
01:34:16.080 the canadian flag they waved the american flag this is the country with a liberty bell land of the free
01:34:24.640 the home of the brave in the land of the free sweet land of liberty the left is crushing all of that
01:34:30.240 and everybody has to fight in their own way and it begins by getting your kids out of the left-wing
01:34:39.040 seminaries that are known as schools yeah i'll tell you what um the the school we just moved our boys to
01:34:47.280 says the pledge in the morning and i love that that's great now tell me about that school because
01:34:53.200 is is it a religious school or secular school it's not religious it's a secular school uh it's a private
01:34:59.520 school but they're just more traditional in their approach they're not looking to indoctrinate anyone
01:35:05.920 either way they really aren't they're open-minded the way they talk about diversity is great it's
01:35:10.880 very uplifting and uniting i feel like i i don't know if you know chloe valery we had her on the show
01:35:18.080 yeah she's like the anti-ibram x kendi she's about love she's much more like mlk um as we talk about
01:35:25.040 on mlk day and that that's their approach you know we we can we can unite and get through what
01:35:32.000 divisions we have by by being kind to one another by uplifting one another not by shaming one another
01:35:38.000 but i i was thinking about when i was in school back in the day not only do we say the pledge every
01:35:42.640 morning but we sang my country tis of it and my kids were like what's that and i sang it to them
01:35:49.360 and i actually choked up right you know that last line let freedom ring that's right that
01:35:58.000 we're not letting freedom ring that's the way to start the day the left from the french revolution
01:36:04.000 to the russian revolution to the new york times they're all related and they hate the liberty
01:36:10.640 they hate they hate diversity of opinion half this country is conservative and there isn't a
01:36:17.680 single there wasn't a single pro-trump columnist in the 50 or so columnists to the new york time
01:36:25.520 see and and now people call my show this happened last week and they say well dennis
01:36:30.480 does uh does salem have any left-wing talk show hosts i said no they don't that's the syndicator
01:36:36.480 of my show i said no they don't so what's the difference between you and the new york times
01:36:42.560 so i'll tell you exactly the difference we proclaim we're conservative the new york times does not
01:36:49.920 proclaim its left wing if the new york times were honest if harvard were honest if yale were honest
01:36:56.560 if the university of michigan were honest and said hey we're here to promote leftism like we say
01:37:02.640 we're here to promote conservatism i would shut up it's the gigantic lie that they're honest
01:37:09.680 and not leftist that is that is so repulsive well i'm going to be thinking today about what you said
01:37:16.400 about being at normandy and the the promise you made yourself good good right you to remember those
01:37:23.360 who have come before us and fought much bigger and more important battles and paid a much higher price
01:37:28.720 getting called a name it's not so bad we could take that and if we can get organized legally to
01:37:35.120 where we can make sure people's livelihoods are protected or at least their position in a student
01:37:41.200 body or you know the ability to converse and have differences of opinion i know that there is a legal
01:37:47.040 answer to this i'm i'm thinking right now with some smart people about how we can use the law to
01:37:52.640 try to write some of these ships but the fight is much bigger than that and it's more massive
01:37:57.200 and we're going to need a lot of smart minds everyone listening to this program to put some
01:38:00.240 thought into what they can do and what needs to be done on a larger level because there are people
01:38:05.200 on this side of rationality who also want to fight and help and um and do it lovingly but strongly
01:38:14.400 peacefully but unapologetically there there is a way forward i'll give you the last word people need to
01:38:21.040 understand that uh i love i love you i love what you stand for and you know that so i just want your
01:38:30.960 listeners to know that i would differ with one thing when you said normandy was a bigger battle they did
01:38:37.680 pay a bigger price you're entirely right we're not being machine gunned by nazi soldiers but the battle
01:38:44.480 is just as big as normandy the the the battle in the united states today is as as big a battle to
01:38:55.120 maintain america and liberty as world war ii or world war one so that's that's that's what's happening
01:39:03.520 i wish it weren't i'd much rather conduct a haydn symphony than engage in this battle but you don't
01:39:13.840 you don't pick and choose your fights in life well you pick and choose whether you'll fight but you
01:39:19.600 don't pick and choose whether there is a fight dennis prager wonderful talking to you all the best sir
