00:00:30.000 Good morning, everyone. I'm Megyn Kelly.

00:00:35.460 It's Tuesday, June 24th, 2025, and this is your AM Update.

00:00:39.860 The president, without knock on wood, having a single American casualty

00:00:45.160 obliterated the Iranian nuclear program.

00:00:47.660 What the president is really trying to figure out here is to build a long-term settlement here.

00:00:52.980 President Trump announces a ceasefire between Israel and Iran

00:00:56.980 following the Iranians' limited retaliatory strikes against American targets.

00:01:01.940 Under Joe Biden, there was 1,272 nationalists of Iran released in the country.

00:01:08.500 So we know that some terrorists have crossed that border.

00:01:12.180 We'd be a fool to think zero crossed.

00:01:14.160 Borders are Tom Homan detailing the number of Iranians who illegally entered the U.S. under Joe Biden.

00:01:19.760 Jurors in the Sean Diddy Combs criminal trial view more sexually explicit materials

00:01:24.920 as the prosecution's case enters the final stretch.

00:01:27.840 And it's primary day in New York City as Democrat voters decide largely between their disgraced former governor

00:01:34.900 and an AOC protege.

00:01:37.120 All that and more coming up in just a moment on your AM Update.

00:01:39.960 It's time you've heard about Riverbend Ranch.

00:01:47.600 Riverbend Ranch is located just a few miles from West Yellowstone, Montana

00:01:51.480 and is known as one of the most respected Angus ranches in the nation.

00:01:56.060 Angus beef is known for its great flavor and tenderness.

00:01:58.700 But the cattle at Riverbend Ranch are not your average Angus cattle.

00:02:03.220 35 years ago, using ultrasound technology, the owner of Riverbend Ranch

00:02:06.920 began scouring the nation to identify specific purebred Angus cows

00:02:11.480 that genetically produce a higher level of marbling and tenderness than normal Angus cattle.

00:02:17.160 After over 30 years of careful selection and breeding,

00:02:19.920 Riverbend Ranch developed beef that has superior flavor and tenderness.

00:02:24.140 They take great pride in the humane treatment of their herd.

00:02:27.200 The cattle spend their days in lush mountain meadows of Idaho, Montana and Wyoming.

00:02:31.660 And they're raised without the use of artificial growth hormones or antibiotics.

00:02:35.080 This is real American beef, born in America, raised in America and processed in America.

00:02:40.560 And the beef is shipped directly from the ranch to your home.

00:02:56.860 Iran launching multiple missiles at U.S. bases in the Middle East on Monday.

00:03:04.640 Retaliation for President Trump's momentous decision to bomb three key Iranian nuclear facilities

00:03:09.800 on Saturday evening in a targeted military strike.

00:03:13.340 The Iranian National Security Council saying the number of missiles launched was equal to the number

00:03:17.640 of bombs used by the U.S. in the attack.

00:03:20.060 U.S. B-2 bombers on Saturday dropping 14 30,000-pound bunker buster bombs on two locations in Iran.

00:03:28.480 Qatar is home to the largest U.S. military base in the Middle East, where approximately

00:03:32.360 10,000 U.S. service members are stationed.

00:03:35.420 Following the strike, Reuters reporting a senior Iranian official saying the country,

00:03:39.840 quote, has the necessary rationality to begin diplomacy, but also saying if the U.S. is seeking

00:03:45.040 negotiations, then Israeli and U.S. attacks must stop.

00:03:48.840 President Trump posting on Truth Social that Iran gave advanced notice of the strikes,

00:03:54.820 writing, quote, Iran has officially responded to our obliteration of their nuclear facilities

00:03:59.200 with a very weak response, which we expected and have very effectively countered.

00:04:04.420 There have been 14 missiles fired, 13 were knocked down, and one was set free because

00:04:08.960 it was headed in a non-threatening direction.

00:04:11.660 I am pleased to report that no Americans were harmed and hardly any damage was done.

00:04:16.100 Most importantly, they've gotten it all out of their system, and there will hopefully

00:04:20.220 be no further hate.

00:04:22.380 I want to thank Iran for giving us early notice, which made it possible for no lives to be lost

00:04:26.740 and nobody to be injured.

00:04:28.860 Perhaps Iran can now proceed to peace and harmony in the region, and I will enthusiastically

00:04:33.700 encourage Israel to do the same.

00:04:35.600 President Trump following up in another post, quote, congratulations world, it's time for

00:04:41.000 peace.

00:04:42.140 Hours later, President Trump posting to Truth Social, quote, it has been fully agreed by and

00:04:46.920 between Israel and Iran that there will be a complete and total ceasefire.

00:04:51.680 An official end to the 12-day war will be saluted by the world on the assumption that everything

00:04:56.940 works as it should, which it will.

00:04:58.900 I would like to congratulate both countries, Israel and Iran, on having the stamina, courage,

00:05:03.860 and intelligence to end what should be called the 12-day war.

00:05:08.080 Vice President J.D. Vance reacting on Fox moments after the president's announcement.

00:05:12.400 First of all, the president, without knock on wood, having a single American casualty obliterated

00:05:19.940 the Iranian nuclear program.

00:05:21.420 We are now in a place where we weren't a week ago.

00:05:23.820 A week ago, Iran was very close to having a nuclear weapon.

00:05:26.740 Even now, Iran is incapable of building a nuclear weapon with the equipment they have because 0.84

00:05:31.640 we destroyed it.

00:05:32.680 While we have obliterated the Iranian nuclear program, our hope and our expectation is that 1.00

00:05:37.300 they're not going to try to rebuild that program.

00:05:39.000 And I think that's what the president is really trying to figure out here, is to build a long-term

00:05:44.020 settlement here to where we can have peace in the region, where our regional allies and,

00:05:48.640 of course, the American people, most importantly, can be secured, but where we can ensure that

00:05:52.940 the destruction of the Iranian nuclear program that has already happened is not something

00:05:56.860 they try to rebuild.

00:05:57.840 A senior Iranian official later confirmed to Reuters that the Islamic Republic has agreed

00:06:03.380 to a ceasefire proposal.

00:06:06.120 In recent years, the Iranian regime facing rising discontent among its people.

00:06:11.580 In 2022, a widespread revolt sparked when a young woman was beaten to death for violating

00:06:16.580 the mandatory hijab law.

00:06:17.980 The protests lasting months, but eventually fading following a major crackdown.

00:06:22.780 As recently as May, protests erupting in response to rising prices and poor economic conditions.

00:06:28.140 On Monday, the exiled son of the last Shah of Iran, Reza Pahlavi, whose father was ousted

00:06:33.920 by the Mullahs in 1979, offering to lead a transition to a democratic Iran if the Iranian people rise

00:06:41.080 up against the regime.

00:06:42.080 There is only one way to achieve peace, a secular democratic Iran. 0.79

00:06:48.920 I am here today to submit myself to my compatriots, to lead them down this road of peace and democratic

00:06:59.400 transition.

00:07:00.580 To those of you who are loyal to the Iranian nation and not the Islamic Republic, there is 0.85

00:07:07.140 a future for you in a democratic Iran if you join the people now.

00:07:13.980 I am establishing a formal channel for military, security, and police personnel to reach out

00:07:21.880 directly to me, my team, and our expanding operation.

00:07:26.260 This is a secure platform to efficiently manage the growing volume of inbound communications

00:07:33.540 and requests from those breaking with the regime and seeking to join our movement.

00:07:40.060 Pahlavi going on to implore Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei, who is reportedly in hiding, to

00:07:46.240 step down and face justice, promising a fair trial and due process in return.

00:07:51.840 It is unclear what level of support Pahlavi has inside Iran, however.

00:07:56.820 Author and historian Victor Davis Hanson Monday on The Megyn Kelly Show describing the stark change

00:08:01.200 in circumstances the Iranian regime is facing and predicting the end of the Ayatollah's reign

00:08:06.520 may well be in sight.

00:08:07.960 No one would have believed this if you said, in 20 months, Israeli and American pilots are

00:08:14.720 going to be flying at will all through Iranian airspace.

00:08:17.760 There's going to be no ability to knock anybody down.

00:08:20.280 They have no air defenses.

00:08:21.800 They had this reputation, but it was kind of shattered this last two weeks.

00:08:27.800 And I think that we're still stuck with the idea that they can do all of these formidable

00:08:32.080 things.

00:08:32.640 But they actually are in a state of panic right now.

00:08:36.140 I think the biggest danger just to finish for the Iranians is the military because they 1.00

00:08:40.820 have taken out the top 20 or 25 generals with the closest ties to theocracy.

00:08:46.940 And everybody else, the subordinate generals, know they're going to be on the list.

00:08:50.880 If there's going to be a regime change, and I'm sure it's going to be the people, I think

00:08:55.360 it's going to be somebody in the military who's going to say to the people, we didn't do this.

00:08:59.860 They did.

00:09:00.340 The theocracy did.

00:09:03.140 Borders are Tom Homan commenting on the number of Iranian illegals inside America, describing

00:09:08.980 the realities caused by four years of Joe Biden's wide open southern border in a Fox News interview.

00:09:15.080 Over two million people crossed that border.

00:09:17.700 We don't know who they are, where they came from, because they got away.

00:09:21.020 Do we know where every one of the two million are?

00:09:23.420 No.

00:09:24.000 We don't know who they all are.

00:09:25.240 We don't know why they're here, where they came from.

00:09:27.160 But we do know the Border Patrol Intelligence for the last four years, they found prayer

00:09:31.760 mats south of the border.

00:09:33.440 They found identification from people from Iran, Turkey, Uzbekistan, Syria, south of the

00:09:38.920 border.

00:09:39.500 So we know that some terrorists have crossed that border. 0.96

00:09:43.180 We'd be a fool to think zero cross.

00:09:45.280 Fox's Bill Malusian reporting of the 1,504 Iranian nationals caught crossing the border illegally

00:09:51.020 from fiscal year 2021 through 2024, 48 percent were released back into the country.

00:09:57.600 It's unclear how many Iranians who entered the country under the Biden administration were

00:10:01.600 on the terror watch list, though all Iranians are classified as special interest aliens due

00:10:06.780 to national security concerns.

00:10:08.800 In early June, President Trump imposing a travel ban on foreign nationals entering from Iran,

00:10:14.000 as well as other high risk nations.

00:10:15.780 Coming up, closing arguments in the Sean Diddy Combs trial expected Thursday as the prosecution

00:10:22.980 nears the end of its case.

00:10:25.300 And New York City voters today turn out to choose who will be the Democrat candidate in

00:10:29.480 the mayoral primary, an accused serial sexual harasser or a socialist.

00:10:38.960 If you've ever tried to sleep through a summer heat wave, you know the struggle.

00:10:42.500 Flip the pillow over, you toss the covers, you're sweating through the night, it's unpleasant.

00:10:48.080 Let me tell you about cozy earth sheets.

00:11:44.500 Special Agent for Homeland Security Investigations, Joseph Circiello, back on the stand Monday in

00:11:49.420 the Sean Diddy Combs criminal trial.

00:11:51.660 Agent Circiello called by prosecutors to link together troves of evidence, including thousands

00:11:56.260 of pages of text messages, phone records, financial records, and other documents, seeking

00:12:01.000 to prove Mr. Combs was the leader of a criminal enterprise involving members of his staff.

00:12:05.960 Circiello confirming several sexually explicit videos depicting alleged girlfriend and Combs

00:12:11.540 victim, Jane, engaging in relations with other men, adding Combs can also be seen in the

00:12:16.640 videos.

00:12:17.620 The jury viewing 12 more minutes of videos of Jane engaging in what she and Combs referred

00:12:22.760 to as hotel nights or debauchery.

00:12:26.200 Reporters inside the courtroom reporting two jury members closed their eyes as the footage

00:12:31.020 was played.

00:12:31.700 The defense anticipates resting its case by the end of today.

00:12:35.660 They say they will not call Combs or anyone else as a witness, instead opting to present

00:12:40.600 additional other evidence that they say will support their client's innocence.

00:12:44.820 Closing arguments expected to begin on Thursday.

00:12:49.480 Its primary day in New York City, New Yorkers turning out to vote for their preferred mayoral candidate

00:12:54.600 as recent polls show disgraced former Governor Andrew Cuomo may lose to Zoran Mamdani in his

00:13:01.200 bid to secure the Democrat nomination.

00:13:03.480 As Politico put it, quote,

00:13:05.020 How on earth are voters in America's largest city choosing between a 33-year-old socialist 0.99

00:13:09.320 and a sex pest for mayor? 1.00

00:13:11.560 The former, Mamdani, endorsed by Congresswoman AOC, running on a radical leftist platform, 0.90

00:13:17.460 here now a montage from several of his campaign ads.

00:13:20.960 On June 24th, let's get some more free transit.

00:13:23.620 New York is a sanctuary city, but Eric Adams has allowed ICE to operate in our neighborhoods

00:13:27.580 and on our campuses with impunity.

00:13:29.300 The landlord lobby knows I'm going to freeze your rent.

00:13:31.420 City-owned grocery stores with guaranteed lower prices.

00:13:34.140 We're going to take the price gouging out of produce. 0.58

00:13:36.140 And the latter, Governor Cuomo resigning from his post as governor in August 2021,

00:13:41.100 after a report by New York Attorney General Letitia James concluded he sexually harassed at

00:13:45.840 least 11 women. Governor Cuomo, a once rising star in the Democrat Party,

00:13:50.600 thought at one point to be a possible future presidential contender,

00:13:53.600 also haunted by another 2021 New York Attorney General report,

00:13:57.900 finding his administration underreported nursing home deaths during COVID by as much as 50 percent.

00:14:04.360 That was following his widely challenged and heavily criticized decision

00:14:08.440 to send COVID-positive patients into New York nursing homes,

00:14:12.940 despite being explicitly warned it would kill elderly residents.

00:14:17.580 A reminder, incumbent Mayor Eric Adams announced in April he is running as an independent.

00:14:23.940 New York City uses ranked choice voting, meaning if no single candidate earns more than half of the vote

00:14:29.460 on the first round of the primary vote, the last ranked candidate is tossed out,

00:14:35.200 and the second preference of those who voted for that last ranked candidate is counted instead.

00:14:41.020 Mamdani is counting on Cuomo not securing more than half the vote in the first round,

00:14:45.900 hoping subsequent rounds will push him over the threshold.

00:14:49.100 The final survey of the race, conducted by Emerson College, Picks 11, and The Hill,

00:14:53.720 finding Cuomo holding a narrow lead at 35 percent,

00:14:57.640 followed by Mamdani at 32,

00:15:00.040 and the third-place candidate, Comptroller Brad Lander, trailing by double digits.

00:15:03.660 When ranked choice is considered, Emerson has Mamdani winning the primary at 52 percent versus Cuomo's 48.

00:15:11.360 Another recent poll by Marist showing Governor Cuomo leading with 38 percent to Mamdani's 27,

00:15:17.960 and the other candidates trailing far behind.

00:15:20.560 Despite the ultimate outcome, NBC's chief data analyst Steve Kornacki explains

00:15:24.600 how this race could lead to an even more dramatic general election.

00:15:28.500 Let's say that Andrew Cuomo were to lose the Democratic primary to Zoran Mamdani.

00:15:34.560 So Zoran Mamdani would then be the Democratic candidate,

00:15:37.880 but Cuomo is also going to be the nominee of a party he created called the Fight and Deliver Party.

00:15:44.100 So even if he loses the primary and Mamdani is the Democratic candidate,

00:15:48.920 Cuomo can still run in November as the Fight and Deliver candidate.

00:15:52.700 For that matter, if Cuomo were to win the primary and Mamdani were to lose it,

00:15:58.320 there's a party called the Working Families Party that's already said

00:16:01.940 Democrats should vote for Mamdani in this primary

00:16:04.300 that may well endorse him if he wants to run as their candidate,

00:16:07.280 so he could take another shot at it in the general election.

00:16:10.540 Republican Curtis Sliwa will also be vying for the city's top job in the general election.

00:16:15.760 That vote set for November 4th.

00:16:19.480 And that'll do it for your AM Update.
