00:01:18.280 You know those movies that tell the stories of real-life heroes with the courage to stand up
00:01:26.160 in the face of indescribable evil and hatred to protect and save others?
00:01:31.380 They're important, especially now when the world seems to need heroes more than ever.
00:01:36.000 Bao, Artist at War, is a film about how art and love can save lives literally and spiritually.

00:01:52.320 There, he not only found the strength to survive, but also an unexpected love with Rebecca,
00:01:57.920 a woman whose courage matched his own.
00:02:00.060 Their secret wedding, held inside a concentration camp, was later immortalized in the film Schindler's List.

00:02:36.060 President Trump hosting a marathon cabinet meeting yesterday,
00:02:39.540 cameras rolling for more than three hours,
00:02:42.080 much of the discussion focusing on crime,
00:02:44.040 with the president touting the federal takeover of D.C. police,
00:02:47.240 so far resulting in more than a thousand arrests and dozens of illegal guns seized.
00:02:53.480 Many in the media hanging on to their narrative that crime in D.C. is not the problem the president insists it is,
00:03:00.160 describing the move as an authoritarian federal overreach.
00:03:03.600 However, President Trump did find at least one grateful member of the press corps
00:03:07.340 inviting White House correspondent for New Tang Dynasty, or NTD News, Iris Tao,
00:03:13.420 to share her personal experience with crime in the Capitol.
00:03:17.240 So more than two years ago, it was a Saturday morning in broad daylight.
00:03:21.740 I was on my way to work, and a young man with a black ski mask pointed a gun at my face
00:03:29.300 and threatened me to hand over my phone, my wallet, my laptop, and everything else.
00:03:35.300 And when I refused, he used the butt of his handgun to strike me across the face,
00:03:41.480 in the cheek, or what some people call pistol-whip me, before running away.
00:03:46.100 And that has deeply traumatized myself and my family.
00:03:49.700 And I'm very grateful for God for allowing me to still survive to this day,
00:03:53.460 but also to Mr. President, thank you for now making D.C. safer.
00:03:56.740 Thank you very much.
00:03:57.620 For us, for our families, for my parents, on behalf of my parents,
00:04:01.820 and now my baby on the way.
00:04:04.060 Thank you so much.
00:04:05.020 Fox News reporting, the administration is set to mobilize 1,700 National Guard troops
00:04:10.520 across 19 states at the invitation of the respective governors.
00:04:15.360 These operations, federally funded, though locally coordinated,
00:04:19.300 part of an expanding effort by the administration to restore law and order in areas where it is badly
00:04:24.740 needed.
00:04:25.100 President Trump calling out Illinois Governor J.B. Pritzker for refusing to request National
00:04:30.040 Guard mobilization in Chicago, which suffered 573 murders last year alone.
00:04:36.700 I would have much more respect for Pritzker if he'd call me up and say,
00:04:39.780 I have a problem.
00:04:40.460 Can you help me fix it?
00:04:41.540 I would be so happy to do it.
00:04:43.780 I don't love, not that I don't have the right to do anything I want to do.
00:04:48.300 I'm the president of the United States.
00:04:49.780 If I think our country's in danger, and it is in danger in these cities, I can do it.
00:04:53.840 No problem going in and solving, you know, his difficulties.
00:04:59.000 But it would be nice if they'd call and they'd say, would you do it?
00:05:02.260 Typically, the National Guard is requested by a state's governor,
00:05:05.200 though the president does have some limited authority to skirt that requirement.
00:05:09.520 Any move around state leaders would certainly trigger a legal challenge,
00:05:13.180 which Governor Pritzker has already indicated he would file.
00:05:16.760 Vice President J.D. Vance framing public safety
00:05:19.140 as the cornerstone of the administration's agenda.
00:05:22.000 I happen to believe that maybe the most sacred thing that we can deliver to American workers
00:05:26.260 is the ability to live safely and comfortably in their own neighborhoods.
00:05:30.780 Public safety is not just something that should belong to the wealthy.
00:05:33.780 It should belong to every working man and woman in the United States of America.
00:05:37.360 And because of the work of this administration, that is happening.
00:05:40.280 DHS Secretary Kristi Noem highlighting the staggering savings resulting from
00:05:44.920 self-deportations amid the administration's immigration crackdown.
00:05:49.100 Sir, you had 1.6 million people voluntarily go home to their home countries
00:05:54.740 that were here in this country illegally.
00:05:57.120 Because of your strong message and you enforcing the law,
00:06:00.020 they decided to go home on their own so that they could come back the right way someday
00:06:04.100 and be American citizens.
00:06:06.000 And the last thing I would say is that it's incredibly important to know that
00:06:11.440 every one of those illegal aliens that has gone home, 0.89
00:06:15.040 they were costing us about $8,700 to $9,000 a piece in what they were taking out of our social
00:06:22.320 programs, out of Social Security.
00:06:24.540 You've saved this country billions of dollars, about $15 billion just in what those illegal
00:06:29.940 aliens were costing us in social programs. 0.99
00:06:33.140 The subject of Lisa Cook also coming up at Tuesday's cabinet meeting.
00:06:37.560 She is the Federal Reserve Board of Governors member who was referred for criminal investigation
00:06:43.580 in mid-August by the nation's top housing finance regulator amid accusations that she
00:06:49.100 committed mortgage fraud.
00:06:51.040 President Trump moved to fire her on Monday.
00:06:54.160 Cook's lawyer saying on Tuesday she will challenge her firing in court.
00:06:58.620 Cook saying she will not be bullied into resigning.
00:07:01.500 She can only be fired for cause, which President Trump clearly thinks he has here. 0.63
00:07:05.840 The term not defined in the relevant statute.
00:07:09.340 One reporter asking the president for his reaction.
00:07:12.380 Are you prepared for a legal fight?
00:07:13.880 She seems to have had an infraction and she can't have an infraction, especially that infraction 0.70
00:07:18.980 because she's in charge of, if you think about it, mortgages. 1.00
00:07:22.260 And we need people that are 100 percent above board and it doesn't seem like she was.
00:07:27.540 The president also commenting on the plans he announced Monday to allow up to 600,000 Chinese
00:07:33.600 students into America.
00:07:35.660 Many conservatives slamming that announcement.
00:07:38.340 Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene questioning on X, quote,
00:07:41.780 Why are we allowing 600,000 students from China to replace our American students' opportunities? 1.00
00:07:48.160 Mr. Trump on Tuesday doubling down.
00:07:50.700 We're getting along very well with China.
00:07:53.140 And I'm getting along very well with President Xi.
00:07:56.080 I think it's very insulting to say your students can't come here.
00:07:59.960 I like that their students come here.
00:08:01.620 I like that other country's students come here.
00:08:04.600 And you know what would happen?
00:08:05.640 If they didn't, our college system would go to hell very quickly.
00:08:09.240 Now, with that, we check and we're careful and we see who's there.
00:08:13.040 And Marco wants that.
00:08:14.180 We spoke.
00:08:14.600 We're in the same position.
00:08:16.520 But we have a tremendous college system.
00:08:18.780 The best in the world.
00:08:19.640 Nobody even close.
00:08:20.400 That's why China sends them here. 1.00
00:08:21.720 Commerce Secretary Howard Lutnick on Fox explaining what the president meant by the college system
00:08:27.300 would go to hell without foreign students to a skeptical Laura Ingram.
00:08:31.720 How is allowing 600,000 students from the communist country of China putting America first? 0.96
00:08:38.860 Well, the president's point of view is that what would happen if you didn't have those 600,000 students
00:08:44.700 is that you'd empty them from the top.
00:08:47.160 All the students would go up to better schools.
00:08:49.940 And the bottom 15 percent of universities and colleges would go out of business in America.
00:08:55.700 That just helped Harvard and UCLA and UCAL Berkeley.
00:08:59.380 And I mean, you all help in those schools.
00:09:01.860 Why?
00:09:02.260 They're like basically factories of anti-American propaganda.
00:09:05.240 Now they're getting a big influx of cash because of the Chinese students.
00:09:08.900 I mean, I know President Trump has always been very pro-Chinese student.
00:09:12.400 I just don't understand it.
00:09:14.080 For the life of me, those are 600,000 spots that American kids won't get.
00:09:18.300 And finally, the question Americans are dying to know the answer to, yes, it was asked by
00:09:23.760 the press at the cabinet meeting, what is Donald Trump's reaction to Taylor Swift's engagement
00:09:29.820 to Travis Kelsey?
00:09:30.820 I have to tell you, the biggest pop culture news of the year broke while we were in this cabinet meeting.
00:09:36.340 Travis Kelsey and Taylor Swift are engaged and the world wants your reaction, sir.
00:09:40.960 Well, I wish him a lot of luck.
00:09:43.940 I think it's I think he's a great player.
00:09:48.000 I think he's a great guy.
00:09:49.360 And I think that she's a terrific person.
00:09:51.660 So I wish them a lot of luck.
00:09:53.520 A diplomatic response as Taylor Swift not only endorsed Kamala Harris last year,
00:09:58.120 but previously accused Mr. Trump of, quote, stoking the fires of white supremacy and racism.
00:10:04.860 After Swift endorsed Kamala Harris, Trump posted online that he hates her.
00:10:10.300 And in May posted that she is no longer hot following his earlier post.
00:10:15.800 Coming up, parents of missing baby Emanuel Harrow officially charged with murder and an online
00:10:23.560 petition in support of an illegal alien truck driver charged with killing three people while
00:10:28.440 pulling an illegal U-turn racks up millions of signatures.
00:10:36.860 Listen to this.

00:11:38.900 The parents of missing baby Emanuel Harrow, 32-year-old Jake, and 41-year-old Rebecca Harrow
00:11:47.820 each charged on Tuesday with one count of murder.
00:11:51.560 Both defendants also charged with a misdemeanor for willingly filing a false police report.
00:11:56.700 Bail has been set at $1 million apiece.
00:11:59.640 The criminal complaint alleging the murder was committed as early as August 5th, nine days
00:12:04.680 before baby Emanuel was reported missing.
00:12:08.180 Rebecca reported her seven-month-old son missing on August 14th, claiming she was attacked by
00:12:13.440 an unidentified person who said hola before knocking her out and stealing her baby.
00:12:19.860 Investigators executing search warrants at the Harrow home, seizing electronic devices
00:12:24.300 and a vehicle, also collecting troves of security footage from surrounding businesses, quickly
00:12:29.980 zeroing in on the parents, arresting them Friday morning on suspicion of murder.
00:12:35.180 Emanuel's remains have yet to be recovered.
00:12:38.080 Jake spotted on Sunday afternoon in Moreno Valley wearing handcuffs and a red jumpsuit,
00:12:43.080 escorted by investigators as they searched for the body.
00:12:46.600 Private investigator Steve Fisher, who has been closely tracking this case, telling the
00:12:50.960 Law and Crime Network Monday about the difficult task now facing the recovery team.
00:12:56.240 And a warning what he describes is graphic.
00:12:59.000 How much could law enforcement find when it comes to actually locating the remains of Emanuel Harrow?
00:13:04.680 Well, it's going to depend if he's above or below ground.
00:13:07.720 So let's say he's above ground, which is what it looked like how they were looking yesterday.
00:13:14.080 You know, we've been in a heat wave here, and this is already a hot part of Southern California.
00:13:19.520 So 100 degree weather, you know, if it's been a month, a small child, a decomp process will happen pretty quick.
00:13:26.780 And then also this type of area, there's predators out here.
00:13:30.440 There's coyotes, mountain lion, there's all types of stuff out here.
00:13:33.480 So and that we see in search and rescue all the time.
00:13:36.320 You know, predators will spread remains and whatnot.
00:13:39.280 However, cadaver canines can still pick up that scent.
00:13:43.080 And, you know, so they would be able to find something.
00:13:46.880 And from there, kind of piece it together.
00:13:49.160 The search is ongoing.
00:13:51.340 News Nation reporting that Jake and Rebecca's arraignment will take place on September 4th.
00:13:56.220 That's when they are expected to enter a plea.
00:14:00.520 Transportation Secretary Sean Duffy on Tuesday putting three states on notice,
00:14:04.940 saying they are out of compliance with English Language Proficiency Requirements, or ELPs, for commercial drivers.
00:14:11.640 Drivers operating across state lines must be able to read and speak English well enough to converse with law enforcement,
00:14:19.600 understand traffic signs, and complete paperwork.
00:14:23.120 Secretary Duffy issuing new guidance to enforce ELPs for truckers in May.
00:14:28.060 The issue was thrust into the spotlight in August when an illegal migrant truck driver allegedly killed three people in Florida
00:14:34.400 while pulling an unlawful U-turn earlier this month.
00:14:37.540 The driver, 28-year-old Harjinder Singh, later failing an ELP assessment,
00:14:43.180 according to DOT records providing correct responses to just two of 12 verbal questions
00:14:48.660 and only accurately identifying one of four highway traffic signs.
00:14:53.620 Despite his apparent inability to read and understand the language,
00:14:57.700 Singh was granted a commercial driver's license in Washington and then again in California.
00:15:03.060 Here's Secretary Duffy.
00:15:04.240 We are not going to tolerate states that don't comply with the rules that come from this department.
00:15:11.460 Washington, California, and New Mexico.
00:15:14.660 Those are the three states that have not complied with this rule.
00:15:17.120 Which, by the way, this driver in Florida had received a CDL in Washington, California,
00:15:23.560 and was pulled over in July for speeding and no doubt couldn't speak the English language.
00:15:30.820 And law enforcement in New Mexico did not take his rig out of service.
00:15:36.680 So this one driver touched all three states.
00:15:39.580 We are going to give these states 30 days to come into compliance with truck drivers speaking proficiently the English language,
00:15:48.140 or we're going to look at federal funding that they receive under the Motor Carrier Safety Assistance Program.
00:15:55.240 There are other actions that we can take to make sure states comply.
00:15:59.020 And hopefully in the next 30 days, we won't have to withhold any money from them.
00:16:02.580 The Secretary is saying California could lose $33 million in funding under the program,
00:16:07.800 $10.5 million for Washington, and $7 million for New Mexico,
00:16:11.540 with a promise of additional steps if these states resist.
00:16:15.140 California Governor Gavin Newsom's press office responding on X, quote,
00:16:19.300 This is rich.
00:16:20.520 The Trump administration approved the federal work permit for the man who killed three people,
00:16:24.880 and now they're scrambling to shift blame after getting caught.
00:16:27.960 Homeland Security has previously called this claim inaccurate,
00:16:32.220 telling Fox's Bill Malusian that Singh was initially processed for expedited removal from the U.S.,
00:16:38.300 then in 2019 was released into the country on bond with a pending asylum claim.
00:16:43.840 He's remained in immigration proceedings ever since.
00:16:47.320 DHS officials saying Singh was granted a work permit under the Biden administration.
00:16:52.200 Singh has been charged in Florida with three counts of vehicular homicide.
00:16:55.680 He required an interpreter for his court proceedings.
00:16:59.260 He was denied bond and remains in custody,
00:17:02.000 ICE lodging a detainer to begin deportation proceedings once the Florida case is resolved.
00:17:07.440 A Change.org petition, meantime, gathering more than three million signatures in support of, quote,
00:17:14.000 fair sentencing.
00:17:15.420 The organizer's collective Punjabi youth, writing, quote,
00:17:19.360 This was a tragic accident, not a deliberate act.
00:17:22.280 While accountability matters, the severity of the charges against him does not align with the circumstances of the incident.
00:17:29.180 The petitioner's hoping for, quote, restorative justice, counseling, or community service.
00:17:34.240 The petition carries no legal weight in court and, of course,
