00:01:01.120 He was a good man, and he was a good cop, and he was taken from us far too soon as he served

00:02:39.500 President Donald Trump delivering a nearly 40-minute 4th of July address,
00:02:43.600 stretching into the last few minutes of Saturday night after severe thunderstorms delayed the
00:02:49.020 speech over 90 minutes. Speaking to thousands who braved the storms and then came back after
00:02:54.480 the area was evacuated, President Trump saying our nation is, quote, doing better now than we've
00:02:59.800 ever done before. Mr. Trump paying tribute to 56 men, he said, risked it all in 1776
00:03:06.760 by signing their names on the, quote, roster of freedom.
00:03:10.900 In Philadelphia, our founding fathers summoned the courage of giants and the wisdom of centuries to boldly proclaim these timeless truths.
00:03:21.880 They declared that all men are created equal, that they are endowed with sacred, unalienable rights by the hand of our creator.
00:03:33.900 and that among these are life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness.
00:03:39.480 In signing their names to the roster of freedom,
00:03:42.280 those 56 patriots put everything at risk,
00:03:46.400 stepped onto the stage of destiny and seized a victory for the ages.
00:03:51.420 And that's what it was.
00:03:52.520 And this is an evening for the ages, I believe.
00:03:54.700 From the beginning, we were a nation that lived by the motto
00:03:58.800 victory or death and live free or die.
00:04:02.520 One out of every 100 Americans gave their lives in the fight for independence.
00:04:09.240 President Trump continuing through the history of our great nation,
00:04:12.540 giving nods to legendary American figures like Teddy Roosevelt and Lewis and Clark,
00:04:17.620 also mentioning amazing architectural and industrial feats such as the Panama Canal,
00:04:23.100 calling America a nation of winners.
00:04:25.780 Americans won the West and built the modern world because America is a nation of winners.
00:04:31.880 And today, our country is winning again, and we're winning like never before.
00:04:37.860 Together, we are also reasserting the truth that American strength and power is not something to be ashamed of.
00:04:46.280 It is something that we are very, very proud of.
00:04:49.660 This country has been the greatest force for peace and justice on Earth.
00:04:53.360 In the last century, we defeated tyrants, demolished evil, and saved freedom again
00:05:00.220 and again and again. Mr. Trump also honoring several people who are still living today,
00:05:06.540 the Artemis II crew, veterans, and in a touching moment, Gold Star families.
00:05:11.880 We are honored to be joined by 11 Gold Star family members. The Gold Star family,
00:05:17.560 That is one of the great tributes.
00:05:20.560 It's one of the great honors.
00:05:23.560 A tough honor.
00:05:24.560 There's nothing tougher than that.
00:05:26.560 But these are amazing people.
00:05:28.560 Thank you very much.
00:05:29.560 Thank you very much.
00:05:31.560 Come on up.
00:05:32.560 They went through a lot.
00:05:34.560 And that special person is looking up there
00:05:37.560 and looking down at mom and dad, husband, wife.
00:05:42.560 But they're looking down with great pride.
00:05:44.560 You know that.
00:05:45.560 you know that and we want to thank you for being here. Throughout his speech, the president taking
00:05:50.300 jabs at the recent resurgence of progressive Democrats veering toward communism, saying we 0.97
00:05:55.960 don't want that in our country and that communism will always be, quote, a loser. Our warriors did 0.95
00:06:02.440 not fight communism on battlefields across the world only to have that menace rear its ugly head
00:06:09.300 right back here in America. We're not going to let it happen. We like to stop a threat like that
00:06:14.640 immediately and before it begins. It's like a cancer. You got to cut it out. You got to cut
00:06:19.760 it out fast. The stars and stripes cast the hammer and sickle into oblivion before and we will do it
00:06:28.060 again if necessary. I don't think it's going to be necessary. I think people have learned. They've
00:06:33.280 learned what to do and how to handle it and we're going to handle it very well. During the thunderstorm
00:06:38.960 delay, attendees were forced to huddle in nearby federal buildings until gates reopened, according
00:06:44.080 to the hill. While the postponement caused some people to leave, others stuck it out,
00:06:49.200 many even singing patriotic tunes while they sheltered.
00:07:14.080 President Trump thanking those who stuck around, despite the weather and the increasingly late hour.
00:07:31.400 They estimated they had 375,000 people before everybody had to leave.
00:07:37.940 And they now have 150,000 people. It's the craziest thing anyone's ever seen.
00:07:44.080 at least. And I want to just thank you. And I feel so badly about some people. They left it.
00:07:49.680 They couldn't get back. But you're very special people. And we have a very special country. Thank
00:07:56.120 you very much. President Trump saying Sunday he personally overruled a recommendation to cancel
00:08:01.880 the July 4th Salute to America event on the National Mall after severe storms neared.
00:08:07.680 In a Truth Social post, Trump writing, quote,
00:08:10.360 When I heard that it was canceled, I immediately overturned that decision.
00:08:15.020 He congratulated law enforcement officials for quickly re-screening people who wanted to return
00:08:19.900 once the storms had passed. The event, of course, was not without its usual detractors,
00:08:25.840 namely the Democrats and legacy media. Here's a bit of what was said on CNN, NBC, and MSNOW.
00:08:32.860 This speech here tonight was vintage Donald Trump. He made a sort of joke about this being
00:08:39.820 his third term. And another part where he said that there are people who don't treat him fairly.
00:08:45.940 Those kinds of typical Trump grievance and partisanship, that was part of this speech.
00:08:52.680 President Trump always has to find a way to work into politics. He once again brought up communism
00:08:58.080 several times over the course of this speech, warning that he would not allow communism to
00:09:03.220 become part of the United States political system, even though there's not any real apparent threat
00:09:08.480 of communism taking over in any way, shape or form.
00:09:11.780 This president uses these platforms to politicize and tries to cut an edge, a wedge between
00:09:19.060 Americans on what would otherwise be a celebratory night here on the 250th anniversary of America's
00:09:24.820 founding.
00:09:25.600 President Trump ending the evening by saying the last 250 years are just the beginning.
00:09:30.960 At 250 years old, we may be the oldest constitutional republic on earth,
00:09:36.820 but our country is just getting started because the best is yet to come.
00:09:42.140 This is only the dawn of the golden age of America and on this 250th 4th of July we declared just as they did two and a half centuries ago
00:09:54.780 that for our country and for our children and for the cause of liberty we are going to take our country to new levels, to levels not reached.
00:10:04.300 We're going to make it bigger, better, stronger, and we're going to love it even more.
00:10:10.280 And at the end, a record-breaking, massive fireworks show.
00:10:15.080 We'll have a full report on our own annual patriotic July 4th celebration on the MK Show later today.
00:10:23.360 Police in Pennsylvania say a truck driver involved in last week's crash that killed a state trooper was an illegal immigrant from Haiti.
00:10:31.600 According to Pennsylvania State Police, 44-year-old trooper Mike Pajara was conducting a commercial vehicle inspection along Interstate 81 in Schuylkill County last Wednesday morning when a semi-truck drove off the road, striking his marked police car and the vehicle he was inspecting before also hitting the officer himself.
00:10:53.160 Both trucks caught fire in the crash. Pajara was later pronounced dead at a local hospital.
00:10:58.940 In a press conference last week, Pennsylvania Governor Josh Shapiro honoring the fallen state
00:11:04.540 trooper. Early this morning, Pennsylvania lost one of its finest public servants, Trooper Mike
00:11:12.660 Pejera, who his loved ones called Mikey, a 20-year trooper with the Pennsylvania State Police who
00:11:21.520 served his community with extraordinary distinction. Mike was a devoted brother.
00:11:27.760 Mike was a devoted uncle, and Mike was a devoted son. He was a good man, and he was a good cop,
00:11:36.960 and he was taken from us far too soon as he served our community. We're all going to miss him.
00:11:44.840 The driver that left the road, ultimately hitting Officer Pejera, has been identified by Fox News as
00:11:51.040 33-year-old Michael Bonn, a Haitian national living in the U.S. illegally. Bonn facing charges
00:11:57.800 now of homicide by vehicle, involuntary manslaughter, reckless driving, and six
00:12:02.740 additional lesser charges. The suspect, currently being held in Schuylkill County Prison on $700,000
00:12:09.460 bail, due back in court July 15th. Meanwhile, the Department of Homeland Security has lodged
00:12:15.520 an immigration detainer against him, Bonn entering the U.S. in July 2024 under the Biden administration's
00:12:22.400 humanitarian parole program and later applying for temporary protected status, but his application
00:12:29.120 denied, DHS terminating his parole in June 2025 and ordering him to leave the country, which he
00:12:37.600 then failed to do, per Fox News. The 33-year-old Haitian obtaining a non-domiciled commercial
00:12:44.540 driver's license, or CDL, while living in Massachusetts in March 2025. Historically,
00:12:50.900 foreign nationals who are legally authorized to work in the U.S. but do not have a permanent
00:12:55.180 residence or domicile in the issuing state could apply for non-domiciled CDLs. Bond first
00:13:02.560 qualifying for the license in 2025 under federal law, then getting it renewed in February of 2026,
00:13:09.200 before the Trump administration directed states to stop issuing or renewing these things for
00:13:15.380 ineligible drivers. Last year, Transportation Secretary Sean Duffy launching a nationwide
00:13:21.060 audit of states issuing non-domiciled commercial driver's licenses after a series of deadly
00:13:27.480 crashes, including crashes in Wyoming, Florida, and in California.
00:13:31.940 Coming up, Nancy Pelosi's 86-year-old husband has yet another run-in with the law and may face
00:13:40.540 charges, but none yet. And the wedding of the year officially in the books as Travis Kelsey
00:13:47.300 and Taylor Swift leave a sports arena in New York City as husband and wife.
00:13:52.120 if you are heading into summer without a medical emergency kit you're taking a risk most people
00:14:04.420 don't even think about until it's too late summer colds linger and can turn into sinus infections

00:15:02.940 Paul Pelosi, the 86-year-old husband of Democratic California Congresswoman and
00:15:08.240 so-called Speaker Emeritus Nancy Pelosi, which is not a thing, could face hit-and-run charges
00:15:14.920 after a car crash in Napa County, California over the weekend. Meaning you or I would,
00:15:22.160 but because it's a Pelosi, we can only say he could. Pelosi driving a convertible,
00:15:27.740 striking a parked car Friday afternoon in the Napa Valley city of Yountville,
00:15:32.820 briefly stopping and then driving away, according to a witness, the incident causing
00:15:37.340 major damage to the parked car. According to the Napa County Sheriff's Office,
00:15:42.180 deputies locating Pelosi approximately a quarter mile away from the crash after his car stopped
00:15:47.900 working. Pelosi reportedly telling authorities he knew he had hit something, but, quote,
00:15:53.120 he did not know what he had hit, so he kept driving. He drove until his car became disabled
00:15:58.820 and was no longer able to continue driving, end quote. According to the sheriff's office,
00:16:05.220 deputies reporting there was no indication that alcohol or drugs were a factor. The Napa County
00:16:10.380 Sheriff's Office recommending a misdemeanor charge of leaving the scene of a property damage
00:16:15.020 collision and forwarding the case to the district attorney's office. Mr. Pelosi was not taken into
00:16:21.120 custody, local officials say, because no one was injured. A Pelosi family spokesperson releasing
00:16:27.100 the following statement after the crash, quote, Mr. Paul Pelosi has personally apologized to the
00:16:32.920 owner of the vehicle and assured them that he would take responsibility for the damage to their
00:16:37.340 vehicle. Speaker Pelosi will not be commenting further on this private matter. This is not
00:16:43.260 Mr. Pelosi's first run-in with law enforcement related to his driving. In May 2022, then Speaker
00:16:50.440 Pelosi's husband was arrested after an accident, later pleading guilty to driving under the
00:16:55.560 influence of alcohol causing injury or DUI. He was sentenced to five days in jail and three days of
00:17:02.680 probation, as well as thousands in fines and victim restitution. He only served two of those
00:17:08.700 days, reportedly, getting credit for good conduct and then doing one day in a work program at the
00:17:14.860 courthouse. Here's some of the dash cam footage of that interaction with police in 2022.
00:17:20.820 I understand that you want to go home, but you got to understand from my standpoint, right?
00:17:26.800 Back in 1957, as a teenager, Pelosi was driving when his car flipped over.
00:17:56.800 a tragic accident that killed his older brother, who was a passenger in the vehicle.
00:18:01.620 Paul was initially cited for manslaughter, but those charges were later dropped.
00:18:06.640 The Napa County Sheriff's Office now requesting the DMV examine whether Mr. Pelosi should be
00:18:11.620 allowed to continue to drive, a process that happens when an elderly driver is involved. 0.68
00:18:18.180 As you probably heard, unless you blessedly live under a rock,
00:18:22.540 Taylor Swift and Travis Kelty are now husband and wife.
00:18:25.960 The massive pop star and Kansas City Chiefs tight end tied the knot Friday in a lavish, star-studded ceremony at New York's Madison Square Garden, drawing over 1,000 guests.
00:18:38.240 According to Variety, those who scored a ticket to Swift and Kelsey's nuptials received watermarked digital invites that came with NDAs.
00:18:46.500 The outlet also listing off the A-listers spotted entering MSG, including Ed Sheeran, Bradley Cooper, Zoe Kravitz, Dakota Johnson, Ethan Hawke, Jason Sudeikis, Hugh Grant, and Camilla Cabello, just to name a few.
00:19:01.680 Other big names reportedly in attendance, Tom Hanks, Steven Spielberg, former Disney CEO Bob Iger, and who could forget, Oprah.
00:19:10.540 You know, just a few of their closest friends.
00:19:14.240 Officiating the ceremony, comedian Adam Sandler.
00:19:17.520 Sandler and Kelsey reportedly striking up a friendship while filming the 2025 movie Happy Gilmore 2.
00:19:24.820 2025, meaning last year.
00:19:28.840 I'm sure they're super tight.
00:19:30.560 Sandler even singing an original song for the couple, according to Variety.
00:19:34.840 Performing at the reception, Sir Paul McCartney, Stevie Nicks, and Tim McGraw, according to multiple reports.
00:19:42.260 Outlets reporting the arena was completely transformed,
00:19:45.860 floors, walls, and ceiling all covered,
00:19:48.720 to create an intimate garden setting inside the venue,
00:19:52.300 complete with real flowers and rows of seating.
00:19:55.360 The couple did not have bridesmaids or groomsmen.
00:19:58.020 Instead, Taylor's brother Austin served as man of honor,
00:20:01.320 while Travis's brother Jason was best man.
00:20:04.320 Of course, the Swifties were also there.
00:20:06.600 Outside, that is. 1.00
00:20:07.420 We can't let these people in.
00:20:08.520 And here's what some of the superfans told the Associated Press.
00:20:12.880 We're so excited to be here.
00:20:14.240 We came all the way from Little Rock, Arkansas, just to celebrate Taylor's wedding and congratulate her on her big day.
00:20:20.340 That's why we came, for Taylor's wedding and the fireworks.
00:20:24.580 So, yeah, we're really excited about her wedding.
00:20:27.120 I think it's our version of her royal wedding because she's so popular and her future husband's so popular.
00:20:32.040 You know, everyone's going to be all eyes on them. 0.63
00:20:34.480 Ugh, let's hope we have a little reprieve from this
00:20:37.560 before we're all officially on Baby Watch.
00:20:42.960 And that'll do it for your AM Update.
00:20:44.940 I'm Megan Kelly.

00:21:00.980 Craig, who stood out?
00:21:01.980 Brazil's lime cheesecake started bright, didn't let up.
00:21:04.520 Nah, for me, Italian cappuccino was the standout in the box.
00:21:07.580 But if we're talking decadent performance, that's all France.
00:21:10.420 Chocolate creme brulee had the richest finishes.
00:21:12.800 Canadian fireworks really showed up big too.
00:21:14.800 And Mexico's caramel churro ice cap gave me chills.
00:21:18.300 We are, of course, talking about Tim's taste of the globe lineup.
