00:00:00.000 Good morning, everyone. I'm Megan Kelly. It's Friday, October 3rd, 2025, and this is your AM
00:00:08.620 Update. We're going to start looking across the board at layoffs and at agencies. President Trump
00:00:14.320 searching for government programs to shutter as lawmakers battle over how to end the government
00:00:19.400 shutdown. Two Delta planes collide on a New York City runway. Terror in the UK. Two killed and
00:00:29.340 more wounded in an attack on a synagogue. And Greta Thunberg tries once more to sail to Gaza.
00:00:36.020 How'd that go? All that and more coming up in just a moment on your AM Update.
00:00:43.680 Have you heard about biohacking? It's what some top athletes, CEOs, even doctors are using to take
00:00:49.420 control of their health. Most people today are stuck in the cycle of fatigue, weight gain, and brain fog,
00:00:55.780 but biohacking changes that, giving your body the exact tools it needs to heal, recover, and perform
00:01:00.800 at its peak. That's why I want to tell you about All Family Pharmacy. They have your everyday
00:01:06.380 prescriptions and essentials, but they also make it easy to get powerful biohacking treatments you

00:01:24.060 Every order is reviewed by a licensed doctor. The prescription is included, and then they ship
00:01:29.560 it straight to your door. Don't wait for the system to take care of you, considering taking

00:01:54.060 President Trump on Thursday appearing to move ahead with plans to reduce the federal workforce
00:01:59.360 amid the government shutdown. Mr. Trump posting on Truth Social, quote,
00:02:03.640 I have a meeting today with Office of Management and Budget Director Ross Vogt, he of Project 2025 fame,
00:02:10.560 to determine which of the many Democrat agencies, most of which are a political scam,
00:02:15.900 he recommends to be cut, and whether or not those cuts will be temporary or permanent.
00:02:20.060 I can't believe the radical-left Democrats gave me this unprecedented opportunity. 0.98
00:02:24.880 They are not stupid people, so maybe this is their way of wanting to, quietly and quickly, 0.98
00:02:29.700 make America great again. Project 2025 is a policy playbook drawn up by the Conservative 0.96
00:02:35.440 Heritage Foundation in hopes of a Republican victory in 2024. Ross Vogt is one of the key architects.
00:02:42.720 Democrats throughout the election casting the document as a textbook for installing fascism.
00:02:47.560 President Trump regularly saying he had not read Project 2025 and it was not a part of his campaign,
00:02:54.400 of course here appearing to reference it as a troll. House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries reacting to
00:03:00.260 reporters yesterday. Donald Trump and Republicans spent all of last year promising that they were
00:03:05.600 going to lower the high cost of living. They also spent all of last year running away from Project 2025,
00:03:11.620 acting like Project 2025 didn't exist. But what have they been doing this year? This year,
00:03:16.860 they've done nothing, zip zero, stingy with De Niro, nothing to lower the high cost of living
00:03:24.800 for everyday Americans. While at the same period of time, implementing and unleashing Project 2025.
00:03:32.740 Now all of a sudden, Donald Trump admits it was his project all along.
00:03:37.700 Last week, vote circulating a memo directing agencies to draw up plans for layoffs in the event of a
00:03:43.600 shutdown. Vote specifically targeting programs, projects, or activities that are not legally
00:03:48.860 required to continue and do not align with President Trump's priorities. On Wednesday,
00:03:54.000 just hours into the shutdown, vote announcing the cancellation of nearly $8 billion in green
00:03:59.760 energy contracts across 16 states. An additional $18 billion in funding toward New York City infrastructure
00:04:06.320 projects put on hold. In March, Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer, backing down from a budget
00:04:12.020 fight, warning a shutdown would hand Mr. Trump more power to shrink the government. The move drawing
00:04:17.720 tremendous criticism from his party, the minority leader now changing his tune. Last week, Mr. Schumer
00:04:23.800 calling the vote memo an attempt to intimidate Democrats, telling Politico, quote,
00:04:28.460 These unnecessary firings will either be overturned in court or the administration will end up hiring
00:04:34.340 the workers back. Press Secretary Caroline Levitt yesterday on Fox saying this is no bluff.
00:04:40.460 Look, we have zero dollars coming into the federal government right now because the Democrats shut it
00:04:45.660 down. So what Russ vote is working diligently on is examining how we can fix this mess to ensure that
00:04:52.360 critical funding continues, that we can get people paid. But the Democrats are making that very
00:04:57.120 difficult. We're going to start looking across the board at layoffs and at agencies that we feel do
00:05:03.140 not best serve the American taxpayer that may need to be halted or permanently cut. Is that real or is
00:05:09.760 that a negotiating tactic? Oh, it's very real. And the Democrats should know that they put the White
00:05:15.580 House and the president in this position. For now, the shutdown continues.
00:05:20.200 Two regional jets operated by a Delta Airlines subsidiary colliding at low speeds on a LaGuardia
00:05:30.240 taxiway Wednesday night in New York. One flight attendant reportedly suffering a knee injury. According
00:05:36.300 to Port Authority, a person was taken to the hospital. It's unclear if that person is the flight
00:05:41.120 attendant. Thankfully, no one else was injured. Just before 10 p.m., a plane taxiing in from Charlotte,
00:05:47.260 North Carolina, struck by the wing of another jet, preparing to take off for Roanoke, Virginia.
00:05:54.380 CBS producer Joey Annunziato, who was on board one of the planes, describing the crash.
00:06:00.300 We just landed in New York on a Delta flight from Charlotte, coming back from work. We're taxiing to
00:06:08.360 our runway, and we got absolutely smashed by another Delta flight. I don't know if we hit them
00:06:15.820 or if they hit us, but it was super jarring. Everyone shot forward in their seats, and it was
00:06:22.940 kind of a little chaotic as soon as it happened. The flight was uneventful up until we landed.
00:06:28.520 I think everybody's okay. We're probably, I don't know, 50 to 100 yards from our gate.
00:06:35.060 Images of the scene showing extensive damage to the plane's windshield and nose. 57 passengers were
00:06:41.620 aboard the flight from Charlotte, 28 on the flight to Roanoke, according to the airline.
00:06:46.780 The FAA releasing a statement yesterday morning saying air traffic control instructed the plane
00:06:51.500 departing for Roanoke to yield to the other aircraft before crossing into the intersection.
00:06:57.760 The National Transportation Safety Board is investigating the incident.
00:07:01.480 Preliminary reports typically released within 30 days, a full report within 12 to 18 months.
00:07:07.620 The collision occurring within the first day of the government shutdown. Air traffic controllers
00:07:12.780 are classified as essential, working through the shutdown, though without any pay. The air
00:07:18.280 traffic controllers union in a Wednesday statement, unrelated to the collision, writing, quote,
00:07:22.820 The increased stress and fatigue that comes from working long hours without pay cannot be
00:07:28.260 overstated. It's unclear if LaGuardia's staffing levels were impacted when the collision occurred.
00:07:33.640 Coming up, an attack on a U.K. synagogue leaves two Jews killed and four injured. Police declare
00:07:42.140 it an act of terror. And Greta Thunberg's Gaza Flotilla take two. 0.67
00:07:51.920 Let's be honest. Afternoons can be rough. Energy fades, cravings kick in, and focus goes out the window.
00:07:58.840 The quick fix, another coffee, but that can lead to jitters or a crash later, or it interrupts your
00:08:06.140 sleep. You know the problems. Peaks Sun Goddess Matcha is another option. Whether it's how the day
00:08:13.020 starts or how it gets back on track, this matcha is not just a drink. It can be a better daily habit.
00:08:18.140 It gives steady energy and helps you focus without the ups and downs. This is not just any matcha.
00:08:23.260 It's organic, ceremonial grade, and grown in Japan's pure volcanic soil far away from pollution.
00:08:31.000 It's shaded longer for more nutrients and blended by tea masters. That's how serious they are about
00:08:36.860 quality. The taste is smooth, creamy, and rich. Not bitter like lower quality matcha. It packs powerful
00:08:43.280 antioxidants to keep you sharp and steady. Right now, you can get up to 20% off for life,
00:08:49.040 plus a free rechargeable frother and glass beaker. It's backed by a 90-day money-back guarantee.

00:09:02.400 Again, that's P-I-Q-U-E life.com slash Megan.
00:09:09.500 Terrorism in the United Kingdom. At least two Jewish people killed, four more injured in a targeted car
00:09:15.940 and knife attack on a synagogue in Manchester, England. Three of the victims now in serious
00:09:21.440 condition. Police shooting and killing the terrorist, later identifying the deceased attacker
00:09:26.980 as 35-year-old Jihad al-Shami, a British citizen of Syrian descent. His name is Jihad.
00:09:36.180 The attack, which happened yesterday morning, taking place on Yom Kippur, the holiest day of the year
00:09:41.620 in Judaism. Around 9.30 a.m., al-Shami slamming his car directly into people outside of the synagogue,
00:09:48.940 then exiting the vehicle carrying on the attack with a knife. Video shows police with weapons drawn
00:09:54.480 on the prone assailant attempting to clear onlookers from the scene.
00:09:58.500 Everybody else! He has a boy! Go away! 0.99
00:10:01.420 He's got a bubble wrap! He's got a bubble wrap!
00:10:03.500 An officer firing one round into Shami, killing him. Police later confirming the vest he was wearing,
00:10:10.600 suspected of concealing a bomb, was not a viable threat. Manchester police say three suspects have
00:10:16.540 been arrested on suspicion of commission, preparation, and instigation of acts of terrorism,
00:10:22.440 though law enforcement later saying, quote,
00:10:24.280 they're working to understand the motive behind the attack. In custody, two men in their 30s and a
00:10:31.280 woman in her 60s. Two local Jewish women speaking out to British radio station LBC and Reuters.
00:10:38.380 All I could hear was helicopters and I thought, what's going on? And then my mom said she saw two
00:10:45.480 cars speeding right past the house. And then she said they're heading down that way. So I said,
00:10:50.180 I wonder if it's at shul. That's my mom. That's our local synagogue. So she said, I think you're
00:10:57.000 right. And today is Yom Kippur. It's a very holy festival and I'm Jewish and absolutely terrified.
00:11:06.540 I was on my way to that synagogue when this all happened and I'm in an absolute state of distress
00:11:13.180 and shock. You know, we've been saying for years and pre-October the 7th that anti-Semitism is real
00:11:22.380 and we have been continually gaslight. UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer reacting on Thursday.
00:11:29.540 This is a country that stands up to hatred and that we don't just provide refuge,
00:11:35.500 we provide a home. For so many Jewish families, that is the story of Britain. But Britain is also
00:11:43.720 a country where Jewish buildings, synagogues, even schools require round-the-clock protection,
00:11:51.360 where dedicated specialist security is necessary because of the daily threat of anti-Semitic hatred.
00:11:58.140 Today's horrific incident shows why. And while this is not a new hate, this is something Jews have 1.00
00:12:06.400 always lived with. We must be clear. It is a hatred that is rising once again. And Britain must defeat it
00:12:14.480 once again. The Prime Minister also saying police presence around synagogues will be increased. 0.98
00:12:20.880 The Daily Mail reporting multiple anti-Israel protesters continuing with planned rallies last night,
00:12:26.640 one just a few miles away from the site of the attack. Marchers adorned with black and white
00:12:32.040 kafea scarves, waving Palestinian flags and signs reading,
00:12:36.260 Stop Starving Gaza and Israel is Guilty of Genocide. The demonstrations drawing condemnation on social
00:12:43.180 media. Conservative member of the London Assembly, Susan Hall, writing, quote,
00:12:47.840 Utterly disgusting. What disgraceful, disrespectful, despicable behavior. Today of all days. 0.79
00:12:54.640 This attack coming one day after German police arrested three suspected Hamas members,
00:13:00.840 allegedly stockpiling weapons, quote, for assassinations targeting Israeli or Jewish
00:13:06.040 institutions, according to prosecutors. The suspects arrested in Berlin, two are German citizens,
00:13:12.660 one was born in Lebanon, identified only by their first names and last initials,
00:13:17.040 Abed Alji, Yael FM and Ahmed I. Police discovering weapons, including an AK-47 rifle and several pistols,
00:13:27.560 in addition to a, quote, considerable amount of ammunition.
00:13:33.640 Climate warrior turned Palestinian activist Greta Turnberg is at it again.
00:13:38.580 My name is Gevige Mle. I'm a citizen of Sweden. If you are watching this video,
00:13:42.920 I have been abducted and taken against my will by Israeli forces. Our humanitarian mission was
00:13:48.580 nonviolent and abiding by international law. Please tell my government to demand my and the 0.97
00:13:54.520 others' immediate release. Yes, Greta once again detained by Israeli officials while attempting to get
00:14:01.460 herself on TV, I mean, attempting to sail into war-torn Gaza. This latest voyage following a
00:14:07.780 similarly unsuccessful June campaign, but this time the 22-year-old taking a strength-in-numbers
00:14:13.360 approach. The global Sumud flotilla organizing, about 40 vessels departing from Barcelona about one
00:14:20.680 month ago, carrying approximately 500 activists, including European lawmakers and lawyers, the largest
00:14:27.740 attempt yet to break the blockade. The AP reporting the flotilla was carrying, quote, a symbolic amount
00:14:33.780 of humanitarian aid to Gaza. Its main goal, they said, remained to break Israel's illegal siege and end
00:14:40.960 the ongoing genocide against the Palestinian people. The boats intercepted by the Israeli Navy, about 80
00:14:47.680 miles from shore. This is the Israeli Navy. You are approaching a blockaded zone. If you wish to
00:14:54.480 deliver aid to Gaza, you may do so through the established channels. Please change your course
00:14:59.940 toward the port of Ashtore, where the aid will undergo a security inspection and then be transferred
00:15:04.820 into the Gaza Strip. The Israeli foreign ministry posting footage of Greta seated on one of the ships
00:15:10.860 wearing a black-and-white kefea, a helmeted officer handing her what appears to be a water bottle and
00:15:16.660 assisting her with a jacket. The ministry writing, quote, Greta and her friends are safe and healthy.
00:15:22.480 Passengers aboard the intercepted ships, Israeli officials say, will be deported to Europe.
00:15:28.940 This latest stunt culminating just days before the second anniversary of the October 7th attack
00:15:33.940 on Israel. Earlier this week, President Trump presenting the Hamas terrorist organization
00:15:38.980 with a deal to end the war. Israel and other Arab states in the area support the deal, calling for an
00:15:45.960 immediate end to the fighting and release of all remaining hostages. President Trump telling reporters
00:15:51.340 on Tuesday, Hamas has three or four days to respond, the White House promising full backing to Israel
00:15:58.120 to finish the job if this deal is rejected. As of today, no word on whether Hamas will accept the
00:16:04.840 offer. And that'll do it for your AM update. I'm Megyn Kelly. Join me back here for The Megyn Kelly
