00:00:00.580 Welcome to The Megyn Kelly Show, live on Sirius XM Channel 111 every weekday at noon east.
00:00:12.340 Hey everyone, I'm Megyn Kelly. Welcome to The Megyn Kelly Show.
00:00:15.840 I've been working on this piece for a couple of days now.
00:00:18.780 I've mentioned it on the show multiple days this week.
00:00:22.440 And you're going to find out in a minute why I'm doing it.
00:00:26.720 I'm sick and tired.
00:00:27.940 I'm sick and tired of what they're doing to Charlie Kirk in the aftermath of his assassination.
00:00:34.280 And the talking points that are now circulating about him on the left are vile and unfortunately viral.
00:00:43.580 They're everywhere, from The New York Times to The Guardian and beyond.
00:00:48.740 There's a narrative emerging about him, and it must be countered.
00:00:53.060 The truth must be spoken and made plain.
00:00:56.120 And I hope both fans of this show and critics of Charlie's will do themselves the favor of listening to what I have to say.
00:01:07.000 The turning point revolution is in full swing right now.
00:01:10.720 This past Tuesday at Utah State, students proved they will not bow to terrorism,
00:01:14.920 showing up to hear a collection of conservatives speak in the same venue Charlie was supposed to.
00:01:21.660 Some 6,000 people were there, showing the world that the Charlie Kirk effect is real and it's formidable.
00:01:29.640 By the way, if you would like to send your own message that we will not be silenced by the radical left,
00:01:34.680 come see us on our live tour.
00:01:35.900 You can get the tickets at megankelly.com.
00:01:38.780 But it is that very force of Charlie's growing power that explains why he is now coming under withering attack.
00:01:47.960 First of all, this is so inappropriate.
00:01:49.960 He is barely in his grave, killed by someone who said he was too hateful to live.
00:01:55.120 And what does the left do?
00:01:56.640 Try to prove the shooter's point.
00:01:58.020 It's disgusting, and it's no different than discussing whether insurance companies are bad
00:02:03.100 immediately after the UnitedHealthcare CEO was shot dead by an unhappy activist.
00:02:08.400 Maybe let's wait until, say, the headstone has been put up
00:02:11.200 before we start debating the merits of the assassin's argument.
00:02:14.820 The most disgusting among the chattering class last week was easily the New York Times contributor
00:02:19.960 Nicole Hannah-Jones, along with author Ta-Nehisi Coates,
00:02:24.300 both of whom have made a fortune by telling America how racist it is and always will be.
00:02:32.220 We addressed the Coates' attack on Charlie last week in episode 1160.
00:02:37.580 Today we get to Nicole Hannah-Jones.
00:02:40.140 See, neither Coates nor Jones can afford to have Charlie's pro-America, colorblind, anti-woke legacy grow.
00:02:48.100 It would kill what's left of their gravy train.
00:02:50.580 Too many kids are creating turning point chapters.
00:02:54.400 Too many Americans showing up at vigils.
00:02:57.420 Too many young black men circulating videos like these on X.
00:03:02.380 I think I'm at a point in life where I can officially say that I'm conservative.
00:03:08.100 Growing up, you know, especially black, all you do is just vote blue, vote democratic.
00:03:11.840 But my beliefs, my morals, what, like, it all aligns with being conservative.
00:03:16.840 The older I've gotten and what I've seen, what they push in their agendas,
00:03:20.020 and, like, they literally just mocked the Bible.
00:03:22.520 Charlie Kirk got shot in the fucking neck.
00:03:25.100 That was the last bastion.
00:03:26.200 I can't be a liberal no fucking more.
00:03:28.100 You see the fucking comments?
00:03:29.560 I hope the gun is okay.
00:03:30.720 The same fucking people asking for moral decency.
00:03:34.020 I cannot, in good faith, align myself with you guys anymore.
00:03:36.880 We not only lost a political, one of the greatest political activists in American history,
00:03:44.740 but we lost one of the greatest champions for Christ that we've seen in politics.
00:03:52.280 This man's message was pure.
00:03:55.180 It was not a message of hate.
00:03:57.880 It was a message of unity.
00:04:00.440 Now, I'll be the first to admit I didn't agree with every view he held.
00:04:04.160 But there is one thing I cannot deny.
00:04:07.420 Charlie was unashamed of his belief in Jesus Christ.
00:04:10.700 And in an age where faith is often mocked or silenced,
00:04:13.680 he stood boldly and proclaimed the name above every name.
00:04:17.420 And for that, I honor him.
00:04:19.980 So, Nicole Hannah-Jones pulls a bunch of Charlie quotes removed from their context
00:04:26.700 or any wider look at who Charlie really was to paint him as a racist.
00:04:31.460 She actually calls him a white supremacist in this piece.
00:04:34.940 We shouldn't be surprised.
00:04:36.080 Jones's bread and butter has been race lies in the New York Times.
00:04:38.900 This is the same paper that aided and abetted her earlier race hoax called the 1619 Project,
00:04:45.440 the fiction that America was really born on the date the first African slaves arrived here,
00:04:51.280 an event Jones posits is America's North Star.
00:04:55.600 Now, Jones admits her purpose in writing about Charlie is that his opinions have been widely embraced,
00:05:01.440 and she's downright alarmed about it, writing, quote,
00:05:04.940 It is clear that Kirk's ideas are no longer considered on the extremist periphery,
00:05:09.860 but are embraced by Republican leadership.
00:05:13.400 She says this demonstrates that espousing open and explicit bigotry no longer relegates one to the fringe.
00:05:21.780 So Charlie was fringe, in her view, part of the lamentable extremist periphery.
00:05:27.320 But now he's gone mainstream.
00:05:29.160 And she is terrified of that, which she should be,
00:05:33.700 because what that means is her grift is ending.
00:05:37.620 Her piece is framed around a man named Dominic Durant and his 11-year-old daughter in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
00:05:44.360 The daughter, we are told, allegedly came home teary-eyed after Charlie was killed.
00:05:49.620 Dad Dominic was aghast, worried she would look up Charlie's YouTube feed and, quote,
00:05:54.380 come across many ugly assertions, in particular about Black Americans.
00:05:59.780 And then what happened?
00:06:01.540 Dominic called Nicole Hannah-Jones to put his thoughts in the New York Times?
00:06:06.400 Who is this Dominic?
00:06:07.760 She never tells us.
00:06:09.020 Is he related to Ms. Jones?
00:06:10.820 Is he a friend she knows from DEI circles?
00:06:13.800 Does Dominic have an axe to grind here?
00:06:15.960 Did the Times bother checking?
00:06:17.400 We don't know.
00:06:17.960 But what, pray tell, is allegedly bothering this man?
00:06:22.580 Ms. Jones first zeroes in on this Charlie Kirk comment.
00:06:26.820 Quote, Kirk had claimed that four prominent and successful Black women who all went to Ivy League universities,
00:06:33.680 Justice Ketanji Brown Jackson, former First Lady Michelle Obama, Joy Reid, and former Congresswoman Sheila Jackson Lee of Texas, quote,
00:06:41.860 did not have the brain processing power to otherwise be taken really seriously and had to go steal a white person's slot.
00:06:50.440 Is that what Charlie said?
00:06:53.220 Roll the tape.
00:06:53.780 If we would have said that Joy Reid and Michelle Obama and Sheila Jackson Lee and Ketanji Brown Jackson were affirmative action picks,
00:07:02.440 we would have been called the racist.
00:07:04.460 But now they're coming out and they're saying it for us.
00:07:08.920 They're coming out and they're saying, I'm only here because of affirmative action.
00:07:13.120 Yeah, we know.
00:07:14.780 You do not have the brain processing power to otherwise be taken really seriously.
00:07:20.100 You had to go steal a white person's slot to go be taken somewhat seriously.
00:07:24.900 Play cut 52.
00:07:25.620 But I rise today as a clear recipient of affirmative action, particularly in higher education.
00:07:33.220 I may have been admitted on affirmative action, both in terms of being a woman and a woman of color.
00:07:39.840 But I can declare that I did not graduate on affirmative action.
00:07:44.040 This is my personal story.
00:07:46.180 It's very obvious to us that you were not smart enough to be able to get in on your own.
00:07:52.440 I couldn't make it on my own, so I needed to take opportunities from someone more deserving.
00:07:56.760 You know, this is how arrogant Joy Reid and Ketanji Brown Jackson and Michelle Obama and Sheila Jackson Lee are.
00:08:01.780 They're so narcissistic, they think this is persuasive.
00:08:06.700 Well, it turns out Charlie was making a point here, not about his beliefs about black women, but about the admission by these black women about their own capabilities.
00:08:15.580 He was reacting to their disclosure that they could not get into their Ivy League schools based on their own brain power.
00:08:23.720 That standards had to be lowered for them, which was done through affirmative action, a program that admits otherwise unqualified minority candidates to a school that would have rejected them.
00:08:34.860 It's true.
00:08:35.520 Charlie was not surprised.
00:08:36.980 They were affirmative action students.
00:08:39.180 None of us is.
00:08:39.860 Ketanji Brown Jackson, at her Supreme Court confirmation hearing, could not even answer the question, what is a woman, explaining I'm not a biologist.
00:08:48.680 It was only last year that Sheila Jackson Lee was telling children the moon is a planet and that it's made of gases.
00:08:56.920 Okay, not a planet, and it's made mostly of rock and metals.
00:09:00.580 Charlie then says these women stole a white person's spot, which Jones does not appreciate.
00:09:07.900 Well, that's true, too.
00:09:09.700 I mean, technically, it was either a white person's slot or an Asian person's, the two groups who lose spots to black and brown people advancing on affirmative action.
00:09:17.880 This is not a figment of Charlie's imagination.
00:09:21.360 There's a whole Supreme Court case about it, decided in 2023, brought by Asian and white students.
00:09:28.060 The high court finally banned the practice as discriminatory.
00:09:31.540 You'd think Jones, a college professor, might have heard about it.
00:09:35.040 Next up, Nicole Hannah-Jones' objection to Charlie's statement that, quote, black America is poorer, more murderous, and more dangerous than when black people were living under Jim Crow.
00:09:49.540 He did not mutter this quietly, drunk in some dark bar.
00:09:53.420 He didn't drink.
00:09:54.420 He said it in a room full of people on a show called Jubilee, where one conservative debates 25 liberal college students out in the open.
00:10:02.560 He was not trying to hide his point.
00:10:03.980 He wanted people to hear it.
00:10:06.000 Charlie had a great back and forth with a young black woman about why he felt this way, which Jones completely ignores.
00:10:14.240 Racial terror permeated American culture for hundreds of years.
00:10:18.820 Black America is worse than it has been in the last 80 years.
00:10:22.140 You don't think that that affected the generational psych of an entire group of people?
00:10:24.740 I'm sure it did.
00:10:25.500 I'm not discounting that.
00:10:26.200 I'm just trying to understand why is it the more social welfare we've done.
00:10:29.180 So we've spent $20 trillion on uplifting black communities, $20 trillion, and black Americans are poor.
00:10:34.820 We've done everything that's been asked.
00:10:36.940 You haven't done everything that's been asked, though.
00:10:38.840 Great society.
00:10:39.300 Because what is being asked?
00:10:40.840 Subsidized housing, Medicaid, public schooling, subsidized college.
00:10:45.860 We're talking about $20 trillion that's been spent on a great society.
00:10:48.480 And yet black America is poorer, more murderous, more dangerous.
00:10:51.720 So there's an explanation.
00:10:52.540 But we are not asking for handouts.
00:10:54.960 We are asking for equity.
00:10:56.500 And part of equity is allowing...
00:10:58.740 You mean taking from other people?
00:11:00.360 Excuse me.
00:11:01.160 It means sharing, which is something that you guys seem to have a very hard time doing.
00:11:08.060 How brave of that, first of all, was Charlie?
00:11:10.580 How brave of that was that for him to do?
00:11:13.960 I mean, incredible.
00:11:16.360 Now, what if Dominic's daughter actually did see that exchange?
00:11:19.060 Well, she might actually learn something about respectful debate and U.S. history.
00:11:23.740 Because this was not a Charlie Kirk idea.
00:11:26.260 This is a mainstream conservative take on the damage done to the black community by Lyndon B. Johnson's Great Society social engineering programs.
00:11:35.220 Black intellectuals from Thomas Sowell to Shelby Steele to once Harvard and now brown economist Glenn Lowry have made this same point for decades.
00:11:43.700 But they don't teach Thomas Sowell in schools because he does not buy the oppression narratives of the New York Times.
00:11:51.420 Let's start with the piece of Charlie's statement suggesting blacks were hurt economically by the Great Society programs.
00:11:57.860 Jason Reilly, who happens to be black, author of the must-read book, Please Stop Helping Us, in which he argues government interventions have harmed black Americans, set the scene in the Wall Street Journal in 2021.
00:12:10.320 Quote, between 1940 and 1960, the percentage of black families living in poverty declined by 40 points as blacks increased their years of education and migrated from poorer rural areas to more prosperous urban ones in the South and the North.
00:12:29.000 Then came the Great Society programs, which kicked off decades in which, Reilly explains, black saw, quote, slower progress or outright retrogression.
00:12:40.320 Black labor force participation fell.
00:12:43.120 Black unemployment rates rose.
00:12:44.980 And the black nuclear family disintegrated.
00:12:47.860 In 1960, fewer than 25% of black children were being raised by a single mother.
00:12:54.560 Within four decades, it was more than half.
00:12:57.480 By 2023, the Heritage Foundation reports that only 31% of black children were born to a two-parent family, less than one-third.
00:13:08.900 Why?
00:13:09.860 Because LBJ's Aid to Families with Dependent Children program conditioned financial assistance on a father's absence from the home.
00:13:21.140 Absolute insanity.
00:13:22.680 Here's Senator Tim Scott talking about it at a presidential debate a couple years ago.
00:13:26.660 So often we think that all the issues, you talk about crime and education and health care, we always think that those issues go back to slavery.
00:13:35.660 Here's the challenge, though.
00:13:37.400 Black families survive slavery.
00:13:39.920 We survive poll taxes and literacy tests.
00:13:43.500 We survive discrimination being woven into the laws of our country.
00:13:47.500 What was hard to survive was Johnson's Great Society, where they decided to put money, where they decided to take the black father out of the household to get a check in the mail.
00:14:01.920 And you can now measure that in unemployment, in crime, in devastation.
00:14:07.060 If you want to restore hope, you've got to restore the family, restore capitalism, and put Americans back at work together as one American family.
00:14:16.800 As for Charlie's assertion that blacks have become more murderous and dangerous since Jim Crow or the 1960s, that's true, too.
00:14:25.140 And it's related to the absence of fathers.
00:14:27.900 From the 1960s forward, crime by black Americans escalated dramatically.
00:14:32.280 As Riley explains in the journal, quote, antisocial behavior is closely associated with family breakdown.
00:14:38.940 So it's no surprise that more fatherless homes led to higher violent crime rates, pointing out that black male homicide rates had been falling in the 1940s and 1950s.
00:14:49.340 But starting in the 1960s, this trend began to reverse itself and continued to worsen for the next three decades.
00:14:56.700 These are facts, not racist hate.
00:15:01.240 Nicole Hannah-Jones then attacks Charlie for saying nowadays, quote, prowling blacks go around for fun to target white people.
00:15:08.980 Not phrased in the most PC way, I'll grant you.
00:15:12.000 But Charlie was actually quite brave in saying what we have all seen on our ex-feeds but are generally too polite to say.
00:15:18.740 He was seeing videos like this one, showing a mob of black people beating the hell out of a white victim.
00:15:23.980 These videos are commonplace online, but they don't make the news virtually ever.
00:15:30.540 As scholar and author Heather McDonald put it in City Journal in 2023, quote,
00:15:35.160 well-meaning Americans turn their eyes away from black crime in deference to racial etiquette.
00:15:40.920 Such etiquette, however understandable, is costing lives.
00:15:44.800 It will continue to do so until the next administration tells the truth about law enforcement and crime.
00:15:49.760 Only then will the police be able to protect public safety without the false stigma of racism.
00:15:56.620 Charlie's specific commentary here was part of his general reaction to a video that went viral a while back of young black men appearing to harass a crying white six months pregnant woman over her rented city bike in New York,
00:16:11.900 which they claimed was theirs, but she produced a receipt.
00:16:15.440 The media was quick to label the woman a racist for not giving up the bike and for having the nerve to cry during the exchange.
00:16:23.140 We covered the story on this show and read an excerpt from The Griot in which they quoted one black woman saying,
00:16:30.200 you put a white woman in a situation and a Karen will come out.
00:16:34.420 Where was Nicole Hannah-Jones calling out that racism?
00:16:36.780 The reaction against this particular white woman on the city bike was so hasty and unfair,
00:16:43.660 even race-hustling lawyer Benjamin Crump had to delete a tweet piling on her once it was proven she was in the right.
00:16:51.760 Charlie, in discussing the incident, was not commenting on all black people,
00:16:56.100 but about those who seemed to take joy in harassing or hurting others, especially whites.
00:17:00.860 It's a troubling dynamic that should be discussed and addressed.
00:17:05.660 But at present, we cannot even get the media to report on the race of a criminal suspect if he happens to be black.
00:17:11.860 In fact, in New York City, where that city bike incident happened, there was another crime right around this same time
00:17:18.200 in which three teens on city bikes seriously assaulted two white women for fun out of nowhere.
00:17:24.580 In the initial reporting of the incident, while the perpetrators were still at large
00:17:28.940 and cops were asking for the public's help in finding them,
00:17:32.640 the media would only call them teenagers.
00:17:35.680 No description at all.
00:17:38.180 It took me half an hour to find a single follow-up report in which one of the victims told a reporter
00:17:42.260 that at least two of the teenagers were black.
00:17:46.060 The third, she could not remember.
00:17:48.600 Jones attacks other of Charlie's commentary,
00:17:51.720 suggesting it was racist of him to say this.
00:17:55.680 Black Americans are in prison far greater than a percentage of the population.
00:17:59.060 So black Americans, about 13 to 14 percent of the population,
00:18:01.700 about half of all prisoners are black.
00:18:03.480 So blacks commit more crimes than whites do.
00:18:06.080 So why do you think black people commit more crimes, Charlie?
00:18:08.500 Well, first of all, so how, let me ask you, let me ask you a question as my answer.
00:18:12.060 What percentage of blacks have a father around when they're raised?
00:18:15.440 I'm not sure.
00:18:16.760 20%.
00:18:17.200 80% of blacks do not have a stable father around.
00:18:20.160 That is the most predictable way to end up in prison, end up as a murderer or a criminal.
00:18:26.460 It's not a racism problem.
00:18:28.320 It's not a white supremacy problem.
00:18:30.340 It's a fact that black fathers impregnate women and they don't stay around with the women that they have impregnated.
00:18:36.200 And why, Charlie Kirk, do you think that that happens more in the black community compared to others?
00:18:40.740 It's threefold.
00:18:41.700 Number one, we subsidize single motherhood.
00:18:43.440 Number two, it's culture.
00:18:44.340 It's accepted in the black community.
00:18:46.000 And it shouldn't be.
00:18:46.520 Okay, okay.
00:18:47.660 Don't take my word for it.
00:18:48.760 Read Thomas Sowell's own book on how black culture allows single motherhood to continue into a nanny state type practice.
00:18:55.580 So we've covered the issue of fatherlessness and what it does to black families.
00:19:02.960 As for whether blacks commit more crime than whites, that is also true on a per capita basis.
00:19:09.080 Back to Heather McDonald, a Manhattan Institute fellow and graduate of Yale, Cambridge, and Stanford Law, who reports that, quote, the national rate of homicides committed by blacks is eight times that of whites and Hispanics combined.
00:19:21.660 If you take Hispanics out of the equation, she writes, the black-white homicide differential is about 11 to one.
00:19:30.160 Black males, she goes on, between the ages of 14 and 17, commit homicide at 10 times the rate of white and Hispanic teens combined.
00:19:39.800 In New York City, McDonald reports blacks are 23% of the population, but commit 75% of all shootings, 70% of all robberies, 66% of all violent crime.
00:19:49.620 Whites are 33% of the city's population, but commit less than 2% of all shootings, 4% of robberies, and 5% of violent crime.
00:20:00.420 Chicago, Heather remarked when she was promoting her book, The War on Cops, is the same.
00:20:05.900 Blacks and whites each make up just under one-third of the city's population.
00:20:10.400 Blacks commit 80% of all homicides there and 80% of all shootings.
00:20:15.920 Whites commit about 1% of Chicago's shootings and homicides.
00:20:21.980 Here, again, Charlie was right, and it was courageous of him to offer these facts unapologetically and very publicly.
00:20:30.540 Covering them up is exactly what allowed the Black Lives Matter lies about racist cops hunting unarmed black men to fester,
00:20:38.100 which led directly to the loss of more black lives as police pulled back and minority communities suffered.
00:20:44.460 Nicole Hannah-Jones and the Times should be ashamed of themselves for letting her cast this assertion as racist without telling their audience it's true.
00:20:55.020 Before we leave this subject, let's do what Nicole Hannah-Jones would never do.
00:21:01.280 Look at how Charlie actually engaged with black Americans.
00:21:05.100 He had plenty of interactions with them.
00:21:07.660 He was radically honest in a way too few ever are,
00:21:11.780 because he felt that the truth was what God commanded and what respect for others required.
00:21:18.300 And respect was what he showed the black Americans he met.
00:21:22.600 Watch.
00:21:22.860 If you have something based on merit, I want to, I don't care if it's all black, all Asian, all white.
00:21:29.200 It's an excellent group is what I want, not a diverse group.
00:21:32.820 I care about excellence, not diversity.
00:21:35.340 Because I do not believe diversity is a strength.
00:21:37.600 I believe unity is a strength.
00:21:39.720 I believe the pursuit of higher purposes is a strength.
00:21:43.020 Does that make sense?
00:21:43.500 Yeah, I do understand where you're coming from.
00:21:45.980 I feel like I do agree with some of the things that you did just say.
00:21:49.260 And I may have to do some more research on the things that you said before.
00:21:52.500 But I guess we can agree to disagree for the time being.
00:21:55.340 Thank you for your time.
00:21:56.140 Appreciate it.
00:21:56.620 Thank you very much.
00:21:57.320 Do you think people should be hired based on their race or their competency?
00:22:01.300 I don't think that.
00:22:02.300 I think they should be raised.
00:22:03.260 Which one?
00:22:03.820 My fault, I'm sorry.
00:22:04.640 My fault.
00:22:05.120 I think that they should be hired based on their competency, not their race.
00:22:08.000 We totally agree, right?
00:22:09.160 Okay.
00:22:09.460 So what DEI does in practice, not in theory, is it focuses on race more than competency.
00:22:14.900 That is our concern.
00:22:16.800 Okay.
00:22:17.080 And so what I want, and you seem, you know, very passionate about a lot of things, and you obviously have skills.
00:22:23.220 For your life, I want you always to be judged on the content of your character, not the color of your skin.
00:22:28.340 Where DEI says, no, we're actually going to care more about skin color than competency.
00:22:32.160 And so what we want is an America based on merit, America based on how hard you work,
00:22:36.160 an America based on what you bring to the table, not just what you look like.
00:22:41.640 That's what Dominic's little girl is going to see on Charlie's YouTube feed.
00:22:45.960 That's what was real and true and beautiful about Charlie Kirk.
00:22:51.760 Jones's objections to Charlie go beyond race.
00:22:55.040 She claims his version of Christianity, quote, condemned and disparaged people who are gay and transgender.
00:23:00.240 Her evidence is that Charlie once posted, quote, the pride and trans movements have always been about grooming kids.
00:23:08.340 Also that he once raised a passage in the Bible, she says, that men who lay with other men shall be stoned to death.
00:23:16.240 First, LGBTQ activist groups have been disturbingly focused on getting their messaging in front of children, including young children.
00:23:26.820 We regularly feature stories about inappropriate books and materials being introduced in schools with information about a young child's sexuality or fluid gender, about masturbation, about homosexual sex or sex with a much older person, all to very young kids.
00:23:45.960 Books for elementary school kids suggesting girls can have penises, that children may have been born in the wrong body and that they might want to talk about it with their teachers, but not their parents.
00:23:56.820 Where do the schools get these books often from recommended reading lists pushed on them by LGBTQ groups like the human rights campaign, GLAAD or GLSEN, which describes its mission as, quote, championing LGBTQ issues in K through 12 education.
00:24:12.740 It's not ambiguous.
00:24:14.680 Some of these books published in partnership with GLAAD were at the center of a Supreme Court case called Mahmoud versus Taylor, which the high court decided just last term.
00:24:25.560 They concluded that these materials are being taught to elementary age children in a way that seeks to, these are the Supreme Court's words, quote, normalize these behaviors, posing, quote, a very real threat of undermining the parents' role.
00:24:42.740 LGBTQ groups opposed parental rights in that case.
00:24:48.460 It's all there, black and white.
00:24:50.660 As for Jones's suggestion that Charlie was somehow in favor of stoning gays to death, that's been debunked as a lie, even by Snopes and many, many others, to the point where even the rabidly left-wing Stephen King has now apologized repeatedly for making this same baseless accusation.
00:25:11.360 Guess the New York Times didn't get the memo.
00:25:14.120 Finally, on the trans issue, Jones attacks Charlie for referring to a trans athlete, she writes, as, quote, an abomination, and for calling a trans person, quote, a throbbing middle finger to God.
00:25:28.140 Here is what Charlie said.
00:25:29.580 The one issue, I think, that is so against our senses, so against the natural law, and dare I say, a throbbing middle finger to God is the transgender thing happening in America right now.
00:25:44.280 We are in a church, and so it's important to remember, Deuteronomy 22, 5, a woman shall not wear a man's garment, nor shall a man put on a woman's cloak.
00:25:54.520 For whoever does these things is an abomination to the Lord your God.
00:25:59.200 You hear that, William Thomas?
00:26:03.600 You're an abomination to God.
00:26:07.840 Charlie was talking about Leah Thomas, formerly William, who swam with the UPenn's men's team one season and with the women's the next, going from the mid-500s in rank to number one in the United States.
00:26:22.480 Six-foot-two Leah Thomas, who paraded around the women's locker room, a fully intact male, wearing a tight little women's bathing suit, making the female swimmers visibly uncomfortable.
00:26:35.460 Not to mention the times he was naked parading through.
00:26:38.380 Listen to Riley Gaines, who competed against Thomas at the NCAA championships, describe the scene.
00:26:44.700 The first time that we became aware we would be undressing next to this six-foot-four, 22-year-old man, fully intact, fully exposing himself, was when we were inches away from said man.
00:26:57.280 These suits that you put on, I mean, they're skin-tight, they're paper-thin.
00:27:01.120 It takes about 15, 20 minutes, your racing suit, to really poke and prod yourself into these suits, 20 minutes of which you're fully exposed.
00:27:09.200 You have your back turned, again, putting on your suit, and all of a sudden, you hear a man's voice in that locker room.
00:27:17.580 You turn around, you look up, because he's so tall, and there's a six-foot-four man undressing, taking off his women's swimsuit and putting on his street clothes.
00:27:27.600 Wow.
00:27:28.100 It's feelings of, of course, it's awkward, it's embarrassing, it's uncomfortable.
00:27:31.840 It was innate, inherent for every girl in that changing space to, to cover themselves, whether it was with their hand, or their clothes, or their towels, and to get out as quickly as they could.
00:27:44.180 But I, I think the best way to describe how he felt was, I mean, it was an utter violation.
00:27:50.800 It felt like betrayal, and really it was traumatic.
00:27:53.480 Psh, that's Leah, formerly Will Thomas.
00:27:59.980 That's what he put her and other girls through.
00:28:02.820 Leah Thomas, who bragged about stealing women's medals and stood by as his university, University of Pennsylvania, told the women who complained on the swim team that they needed to get therapy if they didn't like it.
00:28:14.520 He was fine with that.
00:28:15.340 Leah Thomas, whose social media posts, as unearthed by the Daily Wire, show cartoon figures of a girl in a dress with an erect penis, of a girl with breasts and an erect penis hugging another figure with an erection.
00:28:29.780 That show Leah pushing for money for a trans surgery on what appears to be Leah's boyfriend, a male posing as a female seeking a breast augmentation.
00:28:39.780 And which also show Leah depicted as a demonic, complete with devil horns, dominatrix.
00:28:48.060 What about this exactly is not an abomination to God?
00:28:53.100 Once again, though, while Leah Thomas had earned Charlie's well-founded scorn, Charlie's treatment of trans and gay people he interacted with was uniformly kind.
00:29:03.700 Watch.
00:29:04.060 I do not have hate for a group.
00:29:05.580 I do not have hate for a people.
00:29:07.240 So you do not hate the LGBT community and Turning Point is not against LGBT.
00:29:12.160 How could I hate that which I have a heart for?
00:29:15.440 Thank you.
00:29:16.060 And I might not agree for some of the lifestyle choices that some people make, but of course not.
00:29:21.340 I just want to say I'm a transgender male.
00:29:24.040 Are you comfortable telling me your story?
00:29:25.600 I've known that since like third grade and I'm currently 19, almost 20.
00:29:31.620 I didn't start going by like a different name until seventh and eighth grade.
00:29:36.440 I just don't know like with the whole medical stuff, like what's true, what's not, what's helpful.
00:29:42.580 First of all, thank you so much for that.
00:29:44.060 Yeah, of course.
00:29:44.960 So I'm going to have an opinion that very few people will ever tell you, which is I want you to be very cautious putting drugs into your system in the pursuit of changing your body.
00:29:55.720 I instead encourage you to work on what's going on in your brain first.
00:30:00.700 I think what you need first and foremost is just a diagnosis, just someone that is going to listen to what you've gone through, listen to what else is going on.
00:30:09.260 My prayer for you, I actually want to see you be comfortable in how you were born.
00:30:13.840 I think that is something that you can achieve.
00:30:15.720 I think that with the right team and the right people, you don't have to wage war on your body.
00:30:21.440 You can learn to love your body.
00:30:22.760 Look at this exchange he had with one young man who wanted gays out of the MAGA movement.
00:30:27.940 Let me ask you a question.
00:30:28.940 Are you a Trump supporter?
00:30:29.960 Yes, sir.
00:30:30.680 So are you a proud Trump supporter?
00:30:32.220 Of course.
00:30:32.660 So are you sickened that he had a gay man speak at his convention?
00:30:35.400 Yes.
00:30:36.040 Then you're not a Trump supporter, my friend.
00:30:38.360 Thank you very much.
00:30:39.420 I just want to go through the list.
00:30:43.300 Guy Benson, no place in the conservative movement.
00:30:46.040 Dave Rubin, no place in the conservative movement.
00:30:48.580 Peter Thiel, no place in the conservative movement.
00:30:51.900 So just to go down the list.
00:30:53.520 If they are openly, if they are supporting open homosexuality.
00:30:56.520 So I'm going to ask a very respectful question as respectfully as I can.
00:31:01.460 What does what they do in their private life concern you so much that you have to go up in front of a crowd?
00:31:07.580 It is against God.
00:31:10.560 That is why.
00:31:11.020 So let me ask you a question.
00:31:12.060 Are you a Christian or not?
00:31:12.840 Do we live in a theocracy?
00:31:14.340 Yes or no?
00:31:15.400 No.
00:31:15.700 Do we live in a theocracy?
00:31:17.180 You said you're a Christian.
00:31:18.340 I am a Christian.
00:31:19.640 And do you know what?
00:31:20.520 And guess what?
00:31:21.500 I will say this.
00:31:22.420 Part of being a Christian is appropriately interpreting what the theological says for the individual.
00:31:28.240 But it also means to be long-suffering and patient and loving and kind.
00:31:33.660 Jesus Christ talked to all people.
00:31:35.520 Jesus Christ went and did his ministry through Judea and Samaria.
00:31:40.280 And he had dinner with tax collectors.
00:31:42.260 And he had dinner with prostitutes.
00:31:44.440 And he did his ministry in every part of the Mediterranean.
00:31:47.580 What it means to be a Christian, my friend, is to be open-minded but firm in your beliefs.
00:31:52.460 So you can have that belief.
00:31:54.140 But if you say there's something inherently wrong with communicating or associating just because they make different personal decisions than you,
00:32:01.920 then you, sir, are not a conservative.
00:32:03.700 Thanks for being here tonight.
00:32:05.000 You won't see any of this mentioned in the New York Times.
00:32:13.020 Nicole Hannah-Jones' goal was not honesty.
00:32:15.760 It was to make you hate Charlie and render toxic the Turning Point brand.
00:32:20.680 Jones offers a litany of snippets from Charlie's conversations, grabbing without context a random sample of his thoughts.
00:32:27.920 Putting aside how unfair this is, to anyone who speaks on the radio for two or three hours a day in free form, loose, think-out-loud discussions,
00:32:35.620 the intentionality of Jones' deception is apparent over and over again.
00:32:40.180 Two things she attacks him for that actually do have legs, but in which Charlie was expressing legitimate concerns that we should consider are as follows.
00:32:51.200 One was to suggest that Charlie believed in the great replacement theory, which she says argues that white Americans are being systematically replaced by multiculturalism and by black and brown immigrants.
00:33:04.360 Now, look, here's what Charlie actually said.
00:33:08.140 The southern border is, of course, the great replacement.
00:33:11.720 They're trying to replace us demographically.
00:33:13.820 They're trying to make the country less white.
00:33:15.820 They can't win the white vote.
00:33:17.520 No matter how hard they try, you look at the white vote.
00:33:20.320 They can't win it.
00:33:21.940 They lost it by 20 and 17 percent in the last two presidential races.
00:33:25.840 They can't win it.
00:33:26.660 And so how do you win over white voters?
00:33:29.040 You don't.
00:33:29.980 You just bring in more third worlders and you dilute, a.k.a.
00:33:33.560 replace them.
00:33:35.060 In Soviet Russia, Kulak was a label the Soviets gave to their designated class enemies.
00:33:40.060 If you were a small business owner or a successful peasant or really any kind of ordinary person who criticized or opposed the Soviet regime,
00:33:46.860 they would then label you as a Kulak.
00:33:49.300 In America, the regime is creating a new Kulak.
00:33:51.440 The new Kulak are ordinary middle Americans.
00:33:54.880 Real white people are the acceptable acceptable target of American life.
00:34:03.120 They're the ones it's OK to blame for literally everything bad in America.
00:34:07.820 What causes systemic racism?
00:34:09.660 Real whites.
00:34:10.580 Why is Joe Biden's approval rating terrible?
00:34:12.740 Real whites.
00:34:13.460 The left cannot comprehend that their policies fail because they're bad.
00:34:17.180 This is why the left literally needs endless, constantly increasing migration from the third world.
00:34:23.160 The great replacement strategy, which is well underway every single day on our southern border,
00:34:28.120 is a strategy to replace white rural America with something different.
00:34:35.480 How is he wrong?
00:34:38.120 How's he wrong?
00:34:38.780 He was making a point about the left's open disdain for white, rural, working class MAGA men.
00:34:49.100 There are entire books written by leftists about how this group is to blame for society's problems.
00:34:55.420 One is called White Rural Rage, the Threat to American Democracy,
00:35:00.320 in which the authors blame white rural rage for endangering the future of the republic.
00:35:06.180 Take a listen to their views proudly shared on MSNBC last fall.
00:35:10.640 They're the most racist, xenophobic, anti-immigrant, anti-gay, geodemographic group in the country.
00:35:16.580 Second, they're the most conspiracist group.
00:35:18.440 QAnon support and subscribers, election denialism, COVID denialism, and scientific skepticism, Obama birtherism.
00:35:25.760 Third, anti-democratic sentiments.
00:35:27.960 They're also the most strongly white nationalists and white Christian nationalists.
00:35:31.660 And fourth, they are most likely to excuse or justify violence.
00:35:35.400 So, you mentioned a lot of negative factors about this demographic.
00:35:40.780 Tom, what else do they have in common?
00:35:43.340 Democrats have been told that in order to get rural voters, to get them to listen to you, you have to go there.
00:35:48.440 You have to really empathize with them.
00:35:50.420 You have to show them that you understand their lives.
00:35:52.320 You have to, you know, put on a Carhartt jacket and go down to somebody's farm.
00:35:55.620 Have a beer.
00:35:56.500 And yeah, maybe milk a cow.
00:35:58.040 Oh, the disdain.
00:36:01.960 That book was a huge hit.
00:36:03.800 Lots of promotion on these left-wing channels.
00:36:07.100 While the left was attacking rural whites as the problem, Joe Biden was letting in some 10 to 20 million illegals from predominantly black and brown countries,
00:36:17.600 effectively diluting the votes of those rageful white rural voters.
00:36:22.660 Listen to this Democrat from New York say the quiet part out loud.
00:36:25.440 Brooklyn, New York, we have a diaspora that can absorb a significant number of these migrants.
00:36:33.600 And, you know, when I hear colleagues talk about, you know, the doors of the inn being closed, no room in the inn,
00:36:43.060 I'm saying, you know, I need more people in my district just for redistricting purposes.
00:36:48.320 And those members could clearly fit here.
00:36:52.240 Another bone Ms. Jones has to pick with Charlie has to do with his take on Islam,
00:36:57.700 his opinion that it is, quote, not compatible with Western civilization.
00:37:01.400 Again, a mainstream belief about what former Muslim Ayaan Hirsi Ali,
00:37:06.460 who had her genitals mutilated in the name of Islam,
00:37:10.040 calls activist Muslims here in America with a subversion agenda.
00:37:15.260 Da'wah means literally to call or to invite non-Muslims to Islam,
00:37:22.880 to get existing Muslims and turn them from just being people who identify as Muslim and worship Allah
00:37:32.000 and turn them into activists, change institutions, convert institutions to become Islamic and apply Sharia law.
00:37:40.560 In short, it is a very ambitious project to bring the world under Muslim dominion.
00:37:50.900 It is happening under the United States.
00:37:52.780 And one willing alliance has been with the far left.
00:37:57.000 And so if you want to have a young generation programmed on the one hand with woke ideas
00:38:04.000 and on the other hand with Islamist ideas and their fusion,
00:38:08.080 and that becomes your elite for the future,
00:38:11.200 an elite that is going to be in charge of our universities, our schools, our corporations.
00:38:19.640 Ayaan, in that interview, as in many others,
00:38:22.900 speaks to what's happening in American cities already, like Dearborn, Michigan.
00:38:27.300 Now dominated by Muslims who seek not to live and let live,
00:38:31.220 working side by side with their fellow Americans, but to Islamicize America.
00:38:36.480 In the U.S., Ayaan explains,
00:38:38.240 we used to pride ourselves on having Americanized Muslims with no desires to Islamicize our country.
00:38:43.860 And while plenty of those Muslims do remain,
00:38:46.820 Ayaan reports that we now have activist Muslims beginning to dominate American cities
00:38:50.740 who are far more radical,
00:38:52.720 who feel comfortable openly shouting anti-American slogans,
00:38:55.520 and who are very sophisticated in taking advantage of American constitutional rights
00:39:00.360 to push an Islamist worldview.
00:39:04.280 Look, Charlie was not keen on the Muslim explosion happening in America.
00:39:08.460 That's true.
00:39:09.740 He didn't want cities dominated by five-time-a-day calls to prayer.
00:39:13.680 He wanted the U.S. to remain a Christian nation
00:39:16.340 because he thought Christianity is much more aligned with Western values than Islam is.
00:39:21.660 Here he is, in his own words.
00:39:24.040 The question is, is macro-Islam compatible with Western values?
00:39:28.700 Macro.
00:39:29.440 Of course it's not.
00:39:30.300 There are three major reasons why.
00:39:32.380 Islam does not believe in freedom of speech.
00:39:34.700 Islam does not believe in freedom of religion.
00:39:36.680 And Islam does not believe in separation of mosque and state.
00:39:39.380 Those three things are antithetical to the West.
00:39:41.220 In a Muslim-majority country, you are not, most Muslim-majority countries,
00:39:46.560 you cannot criticize the Prophet Muhammad.
00:39:49.160 In most Muslim-majority countries, you do not have the same robust freedom of religion protections.
00:39:54.540 And finally, whereas we in the West are very careful to try to intermix religion and state,
00:39:59.540 they are commanded to actually go into the state
00:40:02.860 and try to change the state to be more Islamic around the core pillars of Islam.
00:40:07.100 Where did he get these beliefs?
00:40:10.740 From Muslims.
00:40:11.940 Watch.
00:40:12.720 Do you think Islam is compatible with Western civilization?
00:40:15.420 Absolutely not.
00:40:16.360 Western civilization was formed and shaped by philosophers and by Christianity.
00:40:22.040 Islam is anti-Christianity.
00:40:24.500 Islam orders the subjugation and the destruction and eventual eradication and elimination of Christianity.
00:40:31.360 It orders the destruction of secular societies.
00:40:34.700 We have freedom in the West.
00:40:36.520 Something that we value so much at this conference in America.
00:40:40.580 We have freedom.
00:40:41.580 We love freedom.
00:40:42.560 Islam is anti-freedom.
00:40:44.340 I have Turkish citizenship.
00:40:45.820 I lived in Turkey for a while.
00:40:47.180 Right now, it's very difficult for me to get back into Turkey
00:40:49.640 because despite Turkey being a secular country...
00:40:52.360 And part of NATO.
00:40:53.720 I have multiple lawsuits against me by the Turkish government
00:40:58.120 because I dare to say things like, quote,
00:41:01.460 the Quran is a book of ignorance.
00:41:03.180 For that, they are suing me.
00:41:04.300 The Turkish government, I can't go back there.
00:41:06.520 There is no freedom.
00:41:07.460 There is no free speech.
00:41:08.500 If you give the power, you will lose everything.
00:41:11.200 You may think that made Charlie a bigot.
00:41:16.100 But ask yourself, looking at what's happening in London with the rapes by Muslim immigrants
00:41:20.920 in France and in Germany, do you want tens of millions of Muslims committed to the tenets
00:41:25.920 of Islam taking over as a majority here?
00:41:28.300 Do you?
00:41:28.540 Jones finishes her hit piece by attacking Charlie for Turning Point's Professor Watch List,
00:41:36.220 which invites college students to name professors who push leftist propaganda in the classroom.
00:41:41.500 Good.
00:41:42.200 We need an outlet for these students to complain,
00:41:44.380 so fellow students can avoid these classes if they want to.
00:41:47.440 She cites the case of Angel Jones, now a professor at a university in Maryland,
00:41:51.800 whose work, Nicole says, focuses on educational inequity.
00:41:56.340 Uh, it's a bit more loaded than that, Nicole.
00:42:00.760 Stand by.
00:42:02.680 Angel Jones landed on the list, writes Nicole, after publishing an article citing research
00:42:08.320 about how distressing it is for black people to go to work after witnessing news coverage
00:42:12.860 of police killings of blacks.
00:42:15.580 If white people did that after black-on-white crime, we'd never work again.
00:42:20.100 We took a look at Angel Jones' scholarship, and here is what we learned.
00:42:24.040 Her areas of expertise include racial microaggressions, racial battle fatigue, and gendered racism.
00:42:32.400 Her work, she boasts, is grounded in critical race theory and critical race feminism.
00:42:37.700 Nicole claims that Angel Jones received death threats after landing on the Turning Point list.
00:42:43.380 I would cry, claims the professor.
00:42:45.280 I was very fearful.
00:42:46.600 I was anxious and afraid to go to class.
00:42:48.420 After Charlie was assassinated, Angel Jones, quote, refused to mourn him, explaining,
00:42:54.780 I cannot have empathy for him losing his life when he put mine at risk, just because I dared
00:43:01.180 to advocate for social justice.
00:43:04.180 So he endangered her life by putting her on a list of woke professors that students might
00:43:10.620 want to avoid at her college?
00:43:12.140 Sure.
00:43:13.300 Sure.
00:43:13.700 Just how bad is Professor Jones?
00:43:17.000 She says she showed her class a video of herself bashing Charlie right after he was murdered.
00:43:24.440 One male student took his backpack and left.
00:43:26.960 Nicole is sure to point out in her piece he was white, a white man, who had the nerve to
00:43:32.660 ask Angel Jones if she thought her message might wind up radicalizing students.
00:43:37.880 After he left, Professor Jones tells us she was nervous.
00:43:41.500 After all, there's a turning point chapter on campus, so nervous, in fact, she switched
00:43:46.960 her classes to virtual.
00:43:49.260 You see, she can dump on someone beloved by millions of Americans before he's even in the
00:43:54.680 grave while many of her students are still mourning and proudly make her students sit and
00:44:00.000 listen to that.
00:44:01.480 But if there's any mild pushback, she is unsafe.
00:44:05.000 She is the victim, always the victim.
00:44:07.240 Maybe she couldn't go to work the next day, another day off, sensing a pattern.
00:44:12.800 I don't believe her death threat claim.
00:44:15.380 She didn't get death threats over landing on Charlie's list.
00:44:18.060 That's BS.
00:44:19.320 She's a liar, in my opinion.
00:44:20.960 She lives her life enmeshed in social justice, and that is the lens through which she views
00:44:25.840 everything.
00:44:27.140 That means permanent victimhood.
00:44:28.840 If you were a woke black woman, whites are to blame for everything, and white males in
00:44:33.720 particular are a threat to your very existence, normal black Americans do not think like this.
00:44:40.180 They love everyone.
00:44:41.720 They don't view race as controlling.
00:44:44.020 Of course, Professor Jones could not stand Charlie Kirk, who devoted himself to ending
00:44:50.300 this kind of vile race baiting and wanted people to see that race is just a social construct,
00:44:56.460 that we all share the same basic DNA that God loves each one of us, irrespective of skin
00:45:03.280 color.
00:45:04.440 By the way, the same poor victimized professor said after Erica Kirk's extraordinary act
00:45:09.940 of selflessness forgiving Charlie's killer, quote, I wonder if she'd be as willing to forgive
00:45:14.840 if the shooter were black or an immigrant.
00:45:18.100 These social justice warriors are deranged about race.
00:45:21.980 They cannot see their fellow Americans, even a grieving widow, through anything other than
00:45:26.760 a racial lens.
00:45:27.900 Then she said Erica's promise to keep Turning Point going, quote, sounds like a warning of
00:45:33.180 violence to come.
00:45:34.460 Doesn't she sound lovely?
00:45:36.240 This is Jones's poster girl for the sad black woman victimized by evil Charlie's professor
00:45:41.680 watch list.
00:45:43.440 Then Jones raises a person named Ash Lazarus Orr, who has a similar sense of foreboding
00:45:49.620 right now.
00:45:50.240 Orr, she says, is a trans activist who, while never named by Kirk, says his violent rhetoric
00:45:57.920 helped fuel an environment that makes transgender Americans vulnerable to violence.
00:46:03.520 So basically, wherever Orr is, Charlie's thought crimes are endangering him or her, whatever.
00:46:09.440 You see, it's the trans people who are vulnerable to violence, not Charlie, who was killed by
00:46:16.360 a man dating a trans person who felt Charlie had too much hate.
00:46:20.780 The New York Times wants you to be super clear on that.
00:46:24.120 Orr is quoted in the piece saying no one should be killed for their beliefs, no matter how harmful
00:46:29.340 those beliefs might be.
00:46:31.260 But, but?
00:46:33.040 There's no but, Nicole.
00:46:35.220 There's no but after that statement, New York Times.
00:46:39.600 No one should be killed for their beliefs, period.
00:46:44.140 Orr goes on, but we are watching our rights being stripped away.
00:46:49.980 We are having our friends' lives cut short.
00:46:53.180 Your friends' lives are being cut short?
00:46:56.040 I think you have that reversed, sir.
00:46:58.940 And then Jones reiterates what she and Orr are actually mad about, that things are
00:47:05.120 changing in America, in large part because of people like Charlie and their unapologetic
00:47:10.580 adherence to the truth.
00:47:13.080 Quote, in just a few short years, she writes, Orr has watched as the momentum toward recognizing
00:47:19.400 the full humanity and rights of transgender people has collapsed.
00:47:25.140 Put another way, the gender madness has been exposed for the evil it is.
00:47:29.400 And people are running in the opposite direction.
00:47:33.620 Thank God.
00:47:35.580 Jones goes on, sadly concluding that, quote, Kirk's rhetoric of Christian white nationalism,
00:47:42.520 anti-transgender, anti-woke culture warframing, this is not on the edge anymore.
00:47:48.640 Well, Charlie was, of course, a Christian, comma, and a nationalist.
00:47:52.820 He did not consider himself a Christian nationalist, which he said many times in which
00:47:58.060 Nicole Hannah-Jones ignores.
00:48:00.440 And yes, he was white, Nicole, and did not feel guilty about it at all.
00:48:05.360 That really galls her.
00:48:07.700 Jones wraps it all up.
00:48:09.060 Where else?
00:48:10.180 On the premise that this is really Donald Trump's fault because he called white supremacists
00:48:16.480 in Charlottesville, Virginia, quote, very fine people.
00:48:20.100 Really, New York Times, just as we saw with the he wants gays to be stoned to death lie.
00:48:26.120 This has been fact checked even by the left wing Snopes as a lie.
00:48:31.020 But hey, New York Times, you do you.
00:48:33.720 In conclusion, Nicole Hannah-Jones leaves little doubt what the premise of her piece is.
00:48:39.560 Quote, there has been an extreme shift in America, she writes.
00:48:44.240 The serious treatment we are seeing of Charlie's ideas confirms for Jones, quote,
00:48:48.540 that white supremacy and racism is not just a conservative idea, but a legitimate one.
00:48:57.240 So there you have it.
00:48:58.800 White supremacist racism is a conservative thing.
00:49:03.560 And Americans love for Charlie marks an extreme shift toward white supremacy and racism.
00:49:10.160 That was Charlie.
00:49:11.240 She wants us to believe a white supremacist and a racist for saying true things about race,
00:49:18.360 the trans movement, Islam and immigration.
00:49:21.100 Got it.
00:49:22.500 What a dumpster fire.
00:49:24.400 Shame on Nicole Hannah-Jones and shame on the Times for publishing this piece.
00:49:31.040 Charlie Kirk was brilliant.
00:49:32.940 He loved everyone and saw every person as God's sacred child.
00:49:37.240 He did not believe in dividing people by race.
00:49:40.240 He did not believe in ostracizing gays.
00:49:43.300 He did not believe one could change one's biological sex, nor that people confused in this regard
00:49:48.320 were not worthy of our love and attention.
00:49:51.340 He believed in a strong border.
00:49:54.080 He held no disdain in his heart for working class America and felt defensive of them when
00:49:59.220 they came under the left's ruthless attacks.
00:50:01.820 He believed America is the greatest country on earth that has ever been or will ever be
00:50:07.620 and wanted it to thrive as a loving, ethical, Christian land.
00:50:12.680 This is Charlie Kirk, the man who inspired a worldwide revival of faith, whose movement,
00:50:20.500 as he hoped it would, will now long outlive him.
00:50:23.980 Who we lost to an assassin's bullet too soon and too violently at age 31.
00:50:32.300 Loving husband to Erica, adoring father of a little girl and a baby boy, a son, a brother,
00:50:40.000 a friend, and who does not deserve this scorn heaped upon him.
00:50:48.160 Charlie, we've got your back.
00:50:49.600 We know who you were.
00:50:52.880 And we already miss you terribly.
00:50:54.760 This is not just a flash in the pan movement.
00:50:56.660 We're going to become an institution to give them the power and the confidence to stand up
00:51:00.860 and let their voice be heard.
00:51:02.200 I started this organization when I was 18 years old.
00:51:04.620 I decided not to go to college.
00:51:06.380 I didn't get in my dream school, which was the United States Military Academy at West Point.
00:51:09.740 I have this idea to galvanize and motivate the future youth of this country around a core
00:51:14.020 set of ideas, not just political parties or politicians.
00:51:16.580 And the ideas are really America is the greatest country in the history of the world.
00:51:19.980 The Constitution is the greatest political document ever written.
00:51:22.000 And free enterprise is the most assured way to lift people out of poverty and create prosperity
00:51:25.320 for all.
00:51:25.740 Those are the three big ideas.
00:51:27.200 And I think that's something that can win.
00:51:28.980 This is the greatest generational realignment since Woodstock.
00:51:41.260 This generation is the most conservative generation that we have seen in well over 50 years.
00:51:46.760 And the numbers show it.
00:51:47.800 What young people especially are screaming at is they say, give me a structure that I can
00:51:55.880 live my life by.
00:51:57.200 And especially with young men, more challenging of them, more saying, you know what?
00:52:01.760 Honestly, I'm not going to talk down to you.
00:52:03.860 Stop being a boy and become a man.
00:52:05.460 You want to learn what that means?
00:52:06.780 Come to church and I'll tell you what it means to become a man.
00:52:09.020 Because we have the greatest story ever told.
00:52:11.060 What can I do to save the country?
00:52:14.040 You answer that question every single day.
00:52:16.400 Because you are doing the work to save this beautiful republic.
00:52:20.780 You are doing something that is bigger than you.
00:52:24.840 If everything completely goes away, how do you want to be remembered?
00:52:29.860 I want to be remembered for courage, for my faith.
00:52:33.700 That would be the most important thing.
00:52:35.340 Most important thing is my faith in my life.
00:52:41.060 I want to be remembered for courage, for my faith in my life.
