00:03:10.240 after his family fled Laos, entering the U.S. as a child in 1994,

00:03:15.360 receiving legal status under the Clinton administration.

00:03:23.180 Vang was around 18 when he began abusing the unnamed victim in 2002.

00:07:11.360 Chloe Cole testing whether Planned Parenthood, one of the nation's largest providers of so-called

00:07:16.700 gender-affirming hormone therapy, is as prepared to help patients detransition as it is to help

00:07:23.800 them transition. The organization enthusiastically offering hormones and other transition-related

00:07:30.120 services through clinics across the country. Its website listing estrogen, testosterone,

00:07:35.820 puberty blockers, assistance with the social and legal aspects of transitioning, and even

00:07:40.920 referrals for surgery among the services offered through its network of clinics. Cole knows

00:07:46.900 firsthand how devastating this so-called care can be. She was placed on testosterone as a young

00:07:53.280 teenager undergoing surgery to remove both of her breasts at just 15 years old before eventually

00:08:00.560 rejecting the transgender identity she had been pushed into adopting. Now she wants to know

00:08:06.320 whether Planned Parenthood's extensive system of transition-related care also includes any

00:08:11.560 meaningful support for patients trying to detransition, contacting Planned Parenthood

00:08:16.120 clinics across the country, and posing as a patient seeking help. Again and again, she

00:08:22.260 encountered confusion, uncertainty, and dead ends.

00:08:26.340 We'd only have gender-affirming care services, like for hormones, but not to de-transition.

00:08:31.820 We here in the scheduling center don't necessarily have those resources, and we most definitely

00:08:37.680 can't answer those clinical questions like that.

00:09:26.460 We spoke with Chloe Cole about why she joined the investigation.

00:09:29.860 She tells us it's because she believes Planned Parenthood has found yet another vulnerable population to exploit.

00:09:36.540 So they called me in April asking me to be part of this investigation of Planned Parenthood.

00:10:15.540 And as it turned out, that they had very little to say.

00:10:18.960 They actually had told me that there was no help,

00:10:21.840 that they had no resources for people like me who choose to detransition.

00:10:25.560 As Cole knows all too well, detransitioning or embracing biological reality

00:10:30.800 is not simply a matter of stopping the drugs.

00:10:34.220 Cole warns that many detransitioners are already struggling to find doctors

00:10:37.880 equipped to treat damage, the medical establishment is only beginning to understand.

00:10:43.580 The kind of medical support that a detransitioner would need would depend case by case and by how

00:10:48.820 far they go into the process. If you've already had the sexual surgeries that remove the genitalia,

00:10:56.040 you are not going to be capable of producing your own hormones for life. So I have friends,

00:11:02.500 I have many friends who are dependent on the usage of sex hormones for the rest of their life.

00:11:07.880 who are not even able to get that.

00:11:09.700 And many of us need routine blood testing,

00:11:11.620 we need preventative care,

00:11:12.960 and we need testing for these different issues

00:11:15.380 having to do with our reproductive, our sexual health,

00:11:18.480 and with so many different parts of our health

00:11:20.160 that we have yet to really even fully learn

00:11:23.640 what the consequences of these treatments are long-term.

00:11:27.740 And that's why it is imperative

00:11:30.220 that these providers like Planned Parenthood 1.00

00:11:32.140 start providing care for detransitioners now, 1.00

00:11:35.040 because there is going to be a massive influx

00:11:37.640 of people who regret these procedures and need to get help immediately.

00:11:42.580 Cole argues that Planned Parenthood's inability to offer meaningful help is not an oversight,

00:11:47.400 but the inevitable result of a system built to affirm every request to transition and question almost none of them.

00:11:55.800 It absolutely is a one-way pipeline of destruction.

00:12:05.380 And it's really the only instance in medicine where the whims of the patient are what the treatment is solely focused on.

00:12:13.200 And so we are leading young people, including children, down a path that for many of them leads to sterilization, that leads to adult sexual dysfunction, and so many different parts of your health being disrupted with no way out.

00:12:26.960 They have decided to go all out on the destruction of life, not just before it's born, but they also are getting the young souls who are able to make it out of the womb.
