00:02:40.240 Insurance Agency, LLC, a licensed insurance agency. Minnesota Governor Tim Walz, Attorney
00:02:48.560 General Keith Ellison, both Democrats, and the Walz-appointed state chief justice, granting a
00:02:54.780 pardon to an immigrant from Laos convicted of repeatedly sexually abusing a 10-year-old girl,
00:03:01.420 clearing the conviction that placed him on the verge of deportation. 42-year-old Thulu Vang was
00:03:10.240 after his family fled Laos, entering the U.S. as a child in 1994,
00:03:15.360 receiving legal status under the Clinton administration.
00:03:18.840 According to the criminal complaint shared on X by Fox News' Bill Malugin,
00:03:23.180 Vang was around 18 when he began abusing the unnamed victim in 2002.
00:03:28.780 The complaint describing repeated assaults in graphic detail,
00:03:32.340 Vang meeting the victim through her older sister,
00:03:34.620 whom he later married, making the victim his sister-in-law.
00:03:39.300 The abuse beginning before that marriage and continuing afterward for several years.
00:03:43.980 When questioned by a detective following his 2005 arrest,
00:03:47.840 Vang acknowledging the sexual contact but dismissing it as a, quote, minor thing.
00:03:53.220 Vang claiming it was, quote, a cultural thing in Thailand for men to marry and have sex with girls as young as 12.
00:04:00.420 Vang then blaming the victim, telling investigators she should be arrested too because she was, quote, as much at fault.
00:04:08.100 According to DHS, Vang at one point offering his victim $10 to stay quiet about the assaults.
00:04:14.820 Vang later pleading guilty to first-degree criminal sexual conduct under an agreement
00:04:18.940 that spared him from prison, instead receiving 30 years of probation.
00:04:24.000 The Ramsey County Attorney's Office, which prosecuted the case,
00:04:28.120 telling the New York Times that the lenient sentence was partly the result of pressure
00:04:32.280 the victim was facing from her own family not to cooperate.
00:04:36.780 Vang's legal status revoked following the conviction,
00:04:39.800 with an immigration judge issuing a final order for his removal in 2006.
00:04:44.920 Vang nevertheless remaining in the U.S. for nearly two decades
00:04:48.420 because Laos largely refused to accept deportees,
00:04:52.520 leaving many immigrants with old removal orders stuck in the United States as our problem.
00:04:58.620 That reality beginning to change after President Trump returned to office,
00:05:02.880 with Laos reportedly accepting more deportees
00:05:05.500 and the administration carrying out hundreds of removals involving people with decades-old
00:05:10.260 orders. Federal immigration authorities detaining Vang in December as part of Operation Metro Surge
00:05:16.140 in Minnesota. With his deportation imminent, Vang then applying for a pardon from the state
00:05:21.760 of Minnesota, citing his rehabilitation, his wife and six children, and arguing that he had taken
00:05:27.900 full responsibility for his actions according to his application, reviewed by the Times.
00:05:33.460 The nine-member Minnesota Clemency Review Commission, considering his application in
00:05:37.600 April, four members voting to recommend the pardon, two voting against it, three absent.
00:05:44.220 The final decision resting with the three-member Minnesota Board of Pardons made up of Governor
00:05:48.620 Walsh, A.G. Ellison, and Minnesota Supreme Court Chief Justice Natalie Hudson.
00:05:53.660 All three voting on June 10th to pardon Vang.
00:05:57.620 The board informing him in a letter that receiving a pardon was, quote,
00:06:00.420 a notable achievement and a reflection of the work you've done since your conviction.
00:06:05.400 The pardon, supported by a statement from the victim, reading in part, quote,
00:06:09.220 What happened to me was wrong, but I have had many years to think about this.
00:06:13.000 I have made my peace with it. I forgive him.
00:06:15.940 Again, she became his sister-in-law.
00:06:19.280 Governor Walsh and A.G. Ellison's offices defending the pardon decision to the Times by
00:06:23.560 pointing to the Clemency Commission's recommendation and the victim's support statement,
00:06:28.840 The pardon removing the conviction that had served as the basis for Vang's removal case,
00:06:33.960 potentially allowing him to remain here, along the rest of us in the U.S.
00:06:38.660 The Department of Homeland Security accusing Minnesota officials of
00:06:41.860 protecting a dangerous foreign criminal from removal.
00:06:45.700 DHS Acting Assistant Secretary Lauren Biss releasing a statement,
00:06:49.760 quote, 0.79
00:06:50.440 Governor Tim Walz's decision to pardon an illegal alien convicted child rapist 0.99
00:06:55.100 so he can remain in our country is disgusting. 0.99
00:06:58.000 These are the criminal illegal aliens he and his Minnesota sanctuary politicians are protecting. 0.99
00:07:05.220 A new investigation conducted by the pro-life advocacy group Live Action and detransitioner
00:07:11.360 Chloe Cole testing whether Planned Parenthood, one of the nation's largest providers of so-called
00:07:16.700 gender-affirming hormone therapy, is as prepared to help patients detransition as it is to help
00:07:23.800 them transition. The organization enthusiastically offering hormones and other transition-related
00:07:30.120 services through clinics across the country. Its website listing estrogen, testosterone,
00:07:35.820 puberty blockers, assistance with the social and legal aspects of transitioning, and even
00:07:40.920 referrals for surgery among the services offered through its network of clinics. Cole knows
00:07:46.900 firsthand how devastating this so-called care can be. She was placed on testosterone as a young
00:07:53.280 teenager undergoing surgery to remove both of her breasts at just 15 years old before eventually
00:08:00.560 rejecting the transgender identity she had been pushed into adopting. Now she wants to know
00:08:06.320 whether Planned Parenthood's extensive system of transition-related care also includes any
00:08:11.560 meaningful support for patients trying to detransition, contacting Planned Parenthood
00:08:16.120 clinics across the country, and posing as a patient seeking help. Again and again, she
00:08:22.260 encountered confusion, uncertainty, and dead ends.
00:08:26.340 We'd only have gender-affirming care services, like for hormones, but not to de-transition.
00:08:31.820 We here in the scheduling center don't necessarily have those resources, and we most definitely
00:08:37.680 can't answer those clinical questions like that.
00:08:40.640 Ooh, that one's a hard one, because they know we just do gender-referring.
00:08:44.540 So as far as I know, we usually don't see patients for that.
00:08:47.380 We usually see patients to get started on gender-affirming care. 0.97
00:08:50.300 Why don't you offer detransition services? Is that just something that's not listed?
00:08:54.600 I mean, I really wouldn't know.
00:08:56.420 Have you heard of somebody who's been able to fully come back from transitioning?
00:09:00.660 I don't have any information on that, no.
00:09:02.680 I had surgery, I've been on the drugs, and I need help recovering the things I've lost.
00:09:08.600 It looks like the only thing we could do is schedule an appointment with one of our providers.
00:09:14.620 As in right now, as I know, I don't think we do that type of help here.
00:09:20.040 The calls exposing what Cole and Live Action describe as a, quote, one-way body destruction pipeline.
00:09:26.460 We spoke with Chloe Cole about why she joined the investigation.
00:09:29.860 She tells us it's because she believes Planned Parenthood has found yet another vulnerable population to exploit.
00:09:36.540 So they called me in April asking me to be part of this investigation of Planned Parenthood.
00:09:42.420 because as many people are actually unaware,
00:09:46.500 they have not only been cashing in
00:09:48.660 on the suffering of young mothers 0.98
00:09:50.800 and influencing them to kill their unborn children,
00:09:55.020 they also have been, 1.00
00:09:57.520 they found a new demographic to make money off of,
00:09:59.900 which is gender-confused young men and women
00:10:02.300 and even children as young as 16 years old.
00:10:05.460 But I was curious as to whether
00:10:07.800 they would provide any support
00:10:09.520 for the most obvious outcome of transgender procedures, 0.80
00:10:12.720 which would be regretting them and seeking to reverse them. 0.81
00:10:15.540 And as it turned out, that they had very little to say.
00:10:18.960 They actually had told me that there was no help,
00:10:21.840 that they had no resources for people like me who choose to detransition.
00:10:25.560 As Cole knows all too well, detransitioning or embracing biological reality
00:10:30.800 is not simply a matter of stopping the drugs.
00:10:34.220 Cole warns that many detransitioners are already struggling to find doctors
00:10:37.880 equipped to treat damage, the medical establishment is only beginning to understand.
00:10:43.580 The kind of medical support that a detransitioner would need would depend case by case and by how
00:10:48.820 far they go into the process. If you've already had the sexual surgeries that remove the genitalia,
00:10:56.040 you are not going to be capable of producing your own hormones for life. So I have friends,
00:11:02.500 I have many friends who are dependent on the usage of sex hormones for the rest of their life.
00:11:07.880 who are not even able to get that.
00:11:09.700 And many of us need routine blood testing,
00:11:11.620 we need preventative care,
00:11:12.960 and we need testing for these different issues
00:11:15.380 having to do with our reproductive, our sexual health,
00:11:18.480 and with so many different parts of our health
00:11:20.160 that we have yet to really even fully learn
00:11:23.640 what the consequences of these treatments are long-term.
00:11:27.740 And that's why it is imperative
00:11:30.220 that these providers like Planned Parenthood 1.00
00:11:32.140 start providing care for detransitioners now, 1.00
00:11:35.040 because there is going to be a massive influx
00:11:37.640 of people who regret these procedures and need to get help immediately.
00:11:42.580 Cole argues that Planned Parenthood's inability to offer meaningful help is not an oversight,
00:11:47.400 but the inevitable result of a system built to affirm every request to transition and question almost none of them.
00:11:55.800 It absolutely is a one-way pipeline of destruction.
00:11:59.180 There is nothing about this that is even remotely cared.
00:12:02.460 It's not affirming anything but the delusion of the patient.
00:12:05.380 And it's really the only instance in medicine where the whims of the patient are what the treatment is solely focused on.
00:12:13.200 And so we are leading young people, including children, down a path that for many of them leads to sterilization, that leads to adult sexual dysfunction, and so many different parts of your health being disrupted with no way out.
00:12:26.960 They have decided to go all out on the destruction of life, not just before it's born, but they also are getting the young souls who are able to make it out of the womb.
00:12:40.480 For those already trying to reverse course, finding knowledgeable doctors can require months or even years of searching. 1.00
00:12:47.480 Cole points to the first signs that a medical network dedicated specifically to detransitioners may finally be taking shape. 0.99
00:12:55.160 For many of us, there isn't really just one place that we can look at to find care for ourselves. 1.00
00:13:01.000 It often takes a series of going through different doctors, going through different clinics, even for some of us, even months to years, in order to find a team that we can work with.
00:13:11.380 But recently, there have been two clinics that are set to open up to help patients detransition, one in Texas and one, I believe, in the Midwest.
00:13:20.140 And I think that that's going to create a massive precedent for those of us who are seeking to reverse this and are seeking to treat the trauma, both physically and psychologically, from it.
00:13:31.680 Coming up, rescuers reaching a survivor buried nearly 30 feet beneath a collapsed shopping center, eight days after Venezuela's devastating earthquakes.
00:13:41.740 and Mayor Zoram Mamdani telling New Yorkers
00:13:45.300 to turn up their thermostats during a heat wave,
00:13:48.740 quickly finding the limits of collective sacrifice.
00:13:59.020 Everyone's talking about weight loss injections
00:14:00.880 because the results can be so dramatic, 1.00
00:14:03.760 too dramatic if you've seen some of these actresses.
00:14:06.480 But in any event, if you moderate it,
00:14:08.460 it can look great on you.
00:14:09.860 They work by lowering blood sugar and reducing appetite.
00:14:14.280 But what if you want to lose some weight, but you're not interested in potentially painful
00:14:18.640 weekly injections, you're going to get bruised up, you don't have to stick yourself with
00:14:22.420 a needle for weight loss, feels weird, especially when you hear about some of those intense
00:14:27.080 side effects.
00:14:28.420 This is why doctors created a weight loss supplement called Lean, and the results could
00:14:33.080 be remarkable.
00:14:34.540 Lean says the studied ingredients in their product have been shown to lower your blood
00:14:39.260 sugar, burn fat by converting it into energy, and curb your appetite and cravings so you are not as
00:14:45.500 hungry. But listen, lean is not for the casual dieter with only a few pounds to lose. The doctors
00:14:50.920 at Brickhouse Nutrition created lean for frustrated dieters with 10 or more pounds to lose. You could

00:15:17.940 Eight days after two devastating earthquakes reduced areas of northern Venezuela to rubble,
00:15:24.040 rescuers pulling off a miracle. Hernan Gil emerging alive yesterday from the ruins of a
00:15:29.700 nine-story shopping center in coastal city La Guaida after spending more than a week trapped
00:15:35.280 beneath roughly 29 feet of concrete and debris. The extraordinary rescue providing a rare moment
00:15:41.780 of celebration as the confirmed death toll reaches at least 2,295 and is expected to climb
00:15:49.100 far higher. The earthquakes striking northern Venezuela on June 24, a magnitude 7.2 shock
00:15:56.420 followed, just 39 seconds later, by an even stronger magnitude 7.5 quake. La Guaida suffering
00:16:03.760 some of the country's worst destruction, leaving tens of thousands of buildings damaged or
00:16:08.800 destroyed. Yet amid the widespread death and destruction, some moments of hope. The Costa
00:16:14.840 Rican Red Cross on Sunday detecting signs that someone might still be alive deep beneath a
00:16:20.260 collapsed shopping center. The Chilean Fire Department, one of several international teams
00:16:25.440 assisting with the operation, telling CNN that specialized radar, sonar, and sound detection
00:16:31.220 equipment confirmed a survivor was trapped inside the wreckage. Then, after several days,
00:16:37.560 visual confirmation of life. A search camera carefully threaded into the collapsed basement,
00:16:44.040 capturing Gil's fingers waving through a tiny opening between enormous layers of concrete and
00:16:49.580 debris. The Chilean team describing the operation as highly complex, with the collapsed structure
00:16:55.840 still unstable and pieces of debris continuing to fall around the rescuers. Crews from roughly
00:17:02.180 half a dozen countries spending three days slowly cutting and clearing a safe passage toward Gil.
00:17:08.400 CNN reporting rescuers remained in contact with Gil throughout the operation,
00:17:13.080 passing him water, food, medicine, and fluids through a hose and syringe.
00:17:18.340 Video posted by El Salvador's president, Nayib Bukele, showing one of those exchanges.
00:17:24.380 Gil peering through the wreckage with one eye badly bloodshot as a rescuer asks whether he is hurt.
00:17:31.120 Gil replying, quote, no, I'm not hurt. I'm just uncomfortable because of the rocks.
00:17:36.300 After roughly 70 hours of painstaking work, rescuers finally breaking through.
00:17:42.720 Gil's wife waiting nearby the rescue scene, telling CNN she felt, quote,
00:17:47.180 days of great sorrow, thinking her husband must have died,
00:17:50.700 describing the moment she learned he was still alive as, quote, a ray of sunshine.
00:17:56.760 Gonzalez describing her husband as a hero, saying their children were waiting for him at home.
00:18:02.380 A CNN reporter at the scene describing the moment after Gil's release.
00:18:06.820 He is clearly affected. He is clearly affected.
00:18:09.420 It's the case that he's alive.
00:18:11.580 He's able to say this for a couple of words.
00:18:14.360 His wife was here as well, waiting for him to come out.
00:18:17.900 He was receiving a restoration, but just him being able to move,
00:18:25.360 we could see him moving and trying to lift his arm.
00:18:31.300 He's going to make it out, and this is the best and most possible welcome news.
00:18:36.800 Yet even as crews increasingly shift from rescue to recovery,
00:18:41.060 Venezuela continuing to produce remarkable signs of life.
00:18:44.680 NPR reporting a three-year-old boy was pulled alive from the rubble in La Guaida
00:18:48.680 six days after the earthquakes.
00:18:50.680 The international recovery effort involving 27 countries,
00:18:54.880 more than 2,200 rescuers, and 140 search dogs, according to the UN.
00:19:01.020 Roughly 2,000 American service members contributing to the effort,
00:19:04.420 with the U.S. committing at least $300 million to the response.
00:19:10.220 New York City's socialist mayor discovering this week that 78 degrees may be the precise
00:19:15.980 temperature at which collectivism becomes a little too warm. Mayor Zoram Mamdani urging
00:19:21.800 New Yorkers to raise their thermostats as a punishing heat wave places heavy strain on
00:19:27.000 the city's electrical grid. Temperature's expected to reach as high as 102 degrees,
00:19:31.920 with a feel-like temperature as high as 112 through the holiday weekend,
00:19:36.500 prompting the city to expand cooling centers, keep public pools open longer,
00:19:41.000 and increase outreach to elderly and vulnerable residents.
00:19:44.820 Mayor Mamdani posting to X on Wednesday, quote,
00:19:47.340 New York, it's hot out there, and the power grid is working overtime to keep us cool.
00:19:51.940 Set your AC to 78 degrees, turn off lights and electronics you're not using,
00:19:56.580 and unplug what you can.
00:19:58.960 The city promising to make the same sacrifices inside government buildings.
00:20:03.260 Many New Yorkers appearing considerably less enthusiastic about surrendering control of
00:20:08.000 their thermostats. One local posting, quote, as a New Yorker, I'll be setting my AC to
