00:00:07.280 the entertainment industry.
00:00:08.620 Over the past couple of weeks, I've gotten to sit down with some of these people to discuss
00:00:13.300 the movie.
00:00:13.800 We've put together these great moments from the interviews for you to enjoy.
00:00:18.020 Here it is.
00:00:18.780 Joe Rogan Podcast, check it out.
00:00:20.800 The Joe Rogan Experience.
00:00:22.800 Your movie is really funny.
00:00:24.600 It's really funny.
00:00:25.800 By myself, laughing out loud hysterically today.
00:00:29.180 It's one of the best comedies I've seen in a long time because there's so many moments
00:00:33.000 in it that are so uncomfortable.
00:00:34.980 That means a lot.
00:00:35.820 I appreciate that.
00:00:36.480 Yeah.
00:00:36.760 That's what we're hoping for.
00:00:38.400 The Robin DiAngelo one where you gave that guy money for reparations and you got her.
00:00:45.280 She thought it was uncomfortable.
00:00:47.220 It almost feels like satire, but you realize it's not. 0.97
00:00:50.740 It's just ridiculous.
00:00:52.660 But you do a great job. 0.74
00:00:54.180 You do a really good job of staying calm and deadpanning because I don't have that skill.
00:01:01.840 I would not be able to hold it together.
00:01:03.720 I would have to start laughing.
00:01:05.140 At some point in time, I would crack.
00:01:07.860 It's just I wouldn't be able to not enjoy it in the moment to the point where I would go.
00:01:12.540 That's the thing you don't enjoy it in the moment because it's actually it's really unpleasant
00:01:16.660 in the moment.
00:01:17.240 You're in this environment with these insane people.
00:01:20.040 Yeah.
00:01:20.800 It's like it's exhausting, you know, listening to this.
00:01:24.620 If I was there and I didn't know you, I'd be like, I think this guy's around.
00:01:28.500 There's just an edge, just a touch of it, just a touch of it that makes it even funnier.
00:01:33.720 Congratulations.
00:01:34.500 It's really funny.
00:01:35.380 It's great. 0.94
00:01:35.980 And I think it's it's a great way to expose how ridiculous some of this is. 0.94
00:01:41.040 These people exist out there. 0.79
00:01:42.100 This is a world that they live in to do it the way you did it and just make it a hilarious
00:01:46.000 hour and a half movie is really good.
00:01:48.860 So kudos.
00:01:49.820 Thank you, man.
00:01:50.300 Appreciate it.
00:01:50.560 Congratulations.
00:01:51.400 You know, I'm a successful author, podcaster and filmmaker.
00:01:54.400 Matt Walsh's new documentary.
00:01:55.660 Am I racist?
00:01:56.660 It's in theaters now.
00:01:58.100 It's a big hit.
00:01:59.120 You are undercover.
00:02:01.460 And I'm just like so worried that you're going to get found out getting Robin DiAngelo 0.95
00:02:05.860 to actually pay reparations one to one to your black director.
00:02:11.060 Yeah.
00:02:11.540 Because she was she she was talking the game of systemic racism.
00:02:15.600 And then you said, OK, well, let's give money right now to my director.
00:02:20.380 Yeah, we kind of I was because at this point I'm on the journey myself to become a DEI consultant
00:02:25.120 and expert, which I which I did become one.
00:02:27.140 And by the end of it, I was able to teach Robin DiAngelo because we went through this whole
00:02:30.100 thing.
00:02:30.380 And and and I gave her because we were just talking in theory.
00:02:34.020 I said, let's let's put this into practice right now.
00:02:36.780 And I called my black friend Ben out, who's a producer on the film.
00:02:40.040 And I said, you know, he's black. 0.95
00:02:43.000 Let's pay him reparations right now. 0.99
00:02:44.840 I paid reparations.
00:02:46.080 And then eventually we convinced Robin DiAngelo to pay as well.
00:02:49.680 Yeah.
00:02:49.880 Although I will say that once the cameras were off, I did take my reparations back.
00:02:53.420 I love that uncomfortable silence where you handed money to Ben and then she was like,
00:03:02.160 should I get my purse?
00:03:04.200 Yeah, well, maybe.
00:03:06.480 Welcome to the Roseanne Barr podcast.
00:03:09.280 You know, I said I only like to talk to creative geniuses and I've got one today and he's a good
00:03:14.240 one.
00:03:14.840 Matt Walsh.
00:03:15.500 Hi, Matt.
00:03:16.320 Hi.
00:03:16.640 Great to be here.
00:03:17.280 Thanks for having me.
00:03:18.020 I'm so excited because your movie that's being released, it's a big deal.
00:03:22.540 Well, it's got a huge theatrical release, which is a very big deal for, you know.
00:03:28.320 Culture war.
00:03:29.080 In the culture war.
00:03:30.480 That's great.
00:03:30.880 Because it's funny, I think, because, you know, you get a lot of good laughs in it.
00:03:34.140 So it's a good date night thing or a guy's night out or a girl's night out thing.
00:03:39.360 I think so.
00:03:40.060 You are doing the right thing by making a funny movie.
00:03:43.480 Right, exactly.
00:03:44.200 Because that's really the way to reach people is doing something funny that, you know, just
00:03:49.380 happens to be exposing a grift.
00:03:52.000 And that's something that the left has typically been very good at.
00:03:56.280 Now, in recent years, they haven't been so good at it because they put the, you know,
00:03:59.800 it's interesting in the entertainment world anyway, the left is now making kind of the
00:04:02.860 mistake that, you know, Christian films have made for a long time where they're putting
00:04:06.960 the message before the story.
00:04:09.360 So it's nothing but one long homily and people just aren't that interested.
00:04:13.080 Excellent point.
00:04:14.060 Yeah, that's a great point.
00:04:15.100 And so, but I think it creates an opportunity for someone to come in and make entertainment
00:04:22.380 that's actually entertaining, but also has the message.
00:04:24.500 And that's one thing that...
00:04:25.860 Were these people real that are in this movie?
00:04:28.340 They're all real.
00:04:29.200 Yeah.
00:04:29.680 Everyone's real.
00:04:30.320 No actors.
00:04:31.060 Are you kidding?
00:04:31.740 But I'm not even an actor.
00:04:32.840 So yeah.
00:04:33.760 Those are real?
00:04:35.300 Yeah, they're 100% real.
00:04:36.200 And these are all real things.
00:04:37.740 I mean, you can look these people up.
00:04:38.760 And, you know, if you want to go to your own white grief support group, you can go. 0.67
00:04:41.860 I just would love to thank you for being here today.
00:04:44.680 It was wonderful to talk to you.
00:04:46.380 I love the film.
00:04:47.160 We saw it.
00:04:47.760 We love it.
00:04:48.340 He's a soldier on the front lines.
00:04:50.100 He's very brave.
00:04:50.920 He makes things turn, but he's there to turn them.
00:04:55.120 Your movie is called Am I Racist?
00:04:58.020 Hey, everyone.
00:04:58.600 I'm Megan Kelly.
00:04:59.460 Welcome to The Megan Kelly Show.
00:05:01.060 Joining me now, Matt Walsh, host of The Daily Wire is The Matt Walsh Show and star and producer
00:05:05.440 of Am I Racist?
00:05:07.400 Welcome back, Matt.
00:05:08.400 Great to see you.
00:05:09.320 You too, Megan.
00:05:09.880 Thanks for having me.
00:05:10.760 Okay.
00:05:11.100 I watched it last night and I loved it.
00:05:13.960 So I have good news for you because I watched it with a focus group of two.
00:05:17.840 My husband, Doug Brunt, and I watched it together and I thoroughly enjoyed it.
00:05:22.980 Doug Brunt enjoyed it even more than I did because Doug, who is very affable and a great
00:05:28.520 guy, is not particularly prone to fits of emotion in any particular way.
00:05:33.620 And he laughed so many times, Matt.
00:05:36.840 He loved your deadpan, you know, just demeanor, your comments.
00:05:43.760 There are so many good ones.
00:05:45.180 It was true genius.
00:05:46.160 So congrats.
00:05:46.800 You were very respectful.
00:05:48.680 You weren't, you know, in people's faces, but you would keep asking questions when you
00:05:54.020 were told to stop.
00:05:55.080 You would keep like pressing little buttons when you could tell they were on their heels
00:05:59.680 wondering what the hell had just walked into the room.
00:06:02.200 Looking back at it, of course, it's quite humorous.
00:06:04.820 But when you're in the moment, it's actually not all that funny to me when you're really
00:06:09.440 there and you're watching these people, especially these grifters who, you know, this is their 0.95
00:06:16.020 whole, this is what they do.
00:06:17.640 They take normal people and they try to break them down.
00:06:20.860 And it's like this brainwashing session that you see in the movie that goes on over and
00:06:24.920 over again.
00:06:25.300 That Saira Rao is the most hateful person in this entire film. 0.99
00:06:31.280 She's disgusting. 1.00
00:06:33.340 What an absolute pig this person is. 1.00
00:06:35.520 She hates America and she hates whites. 1.00
00:06:39.040 I mean, deeply hates. 1.00
00:06:41.220 Am I wrong?
00:06:42.340 Oh, I'm not wrong at all.
00:06:43.580 She says it herself.
00:06:45.220 She says it about America.
00:06:46.400 America is a piece of S, I believe she says, or her words.
00:06:49.140 Seeing you needle her and like tweak her and ultimately expose and thus embarrass her is
00:06:56.760 very gratifying.
00:06:57.960 That's how you wind up feeling at the end of this, even though there are infuriating moments.
00:07:02.780 Matt, great to see you.
00:07:03.960 Thank you for everything.
00:07:05.320 Remember, the new film is Am I Racist?
00:07:08.180 Support Matt and go see it.
