Ep. 1045 - Warning: The COVID-Midterm Variant Is Here!

Summary

Biden and the rest of the Democratic Party are going to hell in a handbasket, and Joe Biden is the only thing they have to fall back on, and they know exactly how to do it: scapegoating other people.

Transcript

00:00:00.000 Democrats are doing terribly in the generic midterm ballot.
00:00:03.720 They're underwater on almost every single issue.
00:00:05.960 So you know what that means.
00:00:07.080 That's right.
00:00:08.280 COVID is making a comeback.
00:00:10.600 Many Americans are under vaccinated, meaning they are not up to date on their COVID-19
00:00:16.880 vaccines.
00:00:18.340 Not all people over the age of 50 have received their first booster dose.
00:00:23.000 Of those who've received their first booster dose, only 28% of those over 50 have received
00:00:29.680 a second booster dose.
00:00:31.320 And of those over the age of 65, only 34% have received their second booster dose.
00:00:37.600 So my message right now is very simple.
00:00:39.660 It's essential that these Americans, as Dr. Jha said, get their second booster shot right
00:00:45.660 away.
00:00:46.320 It is essential, says the director of the CDC, that you all get your fourth shot of the totally
00:00:54.520 safe and effective vaccine that was supposed to stop you from catching and transmitting
00:00:59.180 COVID the first time, and never throughout all of the various boosters ever actually did
00:01:04.580 either of those things.
00:01:06.000 Now, some intelligent people might be thinking, fool me once, shame on you.
00:01:12.340 Fool me twice, thrice, quadrice, shame on me.
00:01:18.560 But for anyone who might be tempted to have an independent thought here, question these genius
00:01:24.740 experts, Dr. Fauci is here with an important message.
00:01:28.700 Shut up.
00:01:30.140 Everybody wants to put this pandemic behind us and feel and hope that it doesn't exist.
00:01:37.800 It does.
00:01:39.500 Don't hope.
00:01:41.340 Stop hoping.
00:01:42.360 He is actually telling you to stop hoping at this point because he and Walensky and most
00:01:50.060 of all, Biden realize that people are finally seeing through their nonsense and pushing back
00:01:55.380 against their power grab.
00:01:57.120 But as a certain Mr. Nolstradamus may have predicted, hate to say I told you so, but as
00:02:03.740 I may have predicted on this very show last week, COVID is the only issue on which Biden
00:02:09.140 and the Democrats are even slightly above water, and it's also the key issue that allows
00:02:13.760 them to mess around with all of the election rules.
00:02:16.020 So you can bet your bottom dollar that this is going to be the issue that they hammer harder
00:02:22.860 and harder as we approach what they fear will be a wipeout in the November elections.
00:02:28.200 I'm Michael Knowles.
00:02:28.940 This is The Michael Knowles Show.
00:02:33.740 Welcome back to the show.
00:02:38.320 My favorite comment yesterday is from the Drummer's Workshop at Norm's Music, who says,
00:02:42.340 When asked for comment on the First Lady's insensitive taco blunder, Joe Biden replied,
00:02:48.300 Come on, man.
00:02:51.640 That is actually my favorite comment I've ever read on the show.
00:02:57.500 It's a really great dad joke.
00:02:59.160 It's a great padre joke, and I'm absolutely going to steal it.
00:03:02.320 If Biden is trying anything, it is spaghetti at the wall.
00:03:05.760 If COVID is the only thing that even slightly works for him, he's going to go with COVID.
00:03:09.960 The numbers are absolutely devastating for this guy.
00:03:14.300 I'm not talking about among Republicans.
00:03:16.220 Obviously, I'm not talking about among independents or moderates even.
00:03:19.600 Among Democrats, according to a new poll from the New York Times and Siena College,
00:03:24.780 just 26% of Democrats want Joe Biden to be the nominee in 2024.
00:03:31.160 One in four Democrats wants the incumbent Democrat president to be the nominee in 2024.
00:03:37.760 Absolutely devastating.
00:03:40.420 A full 64% of Democrat voters actively want someone else to run in the 2024 presidential campaign.
00:03:49.000 And then 10%, I guess, just have no idea what they're talking about.
00:03:54.220 Scott Adams, the Dilbert guy, had a really great point on this the other day.
00:03:58.500 You'll notice the way we're talking about Joe Biden and the way we're talking about Hunter Biden in particular
00:04:02.760 is with a great deal of sympathy.
00:04:05.660 We're saying, ah, man, Hunter Biden, what a degenerate he is.
00:04:08.500 Yeah, he's a criminal.
00:04:09.260 He's done terrible things.
00:04:10.140 He should be held accountable.
00:04:11.120 But, ah, that poor guy.
00:04:12.400 Ah, poor Joe Biden.
00:04:13.340 He's falling off a bicycle.
00:04:14.420 Oh, my gosh.
00:04:15.600 This is so, he can't say his own words.
00:04:17.920 He can't read the teleprompter.
00:04:19.480 He doesn't know where he is.
00:04:21.340 No one wants to talk to him at the White House gatherings.
00:04:23.620 They have someone in an Easter bunny suit walking around to try to guide him places so he doesn't wander off.
00:04:28.620 This is sad.
00:04:29.440 I feel sad for Joe Biden.
00:04:30.980 This is what Scott Adams calls the Dole turn.
00:04:36.040 He's referring to the 96 presidential campaign, Bill Clinton versus the Republican Bob Dole.
00:04:41.600 And at a certain point in the campaign, Clinton started talking about how he respected Bob Dole's military service.
00:04:47.600 And he started saying sort of nice things about Dole.
00:04:50.020 And what Scott believes is that's the moment when Clinton stopped fearing Dole.
00:04:56.340 When Clinton thought Dole is done.
00:04:58.520 There's no way he's going to win.
00:04:59.880 So now I can say nice things about him.
00:05:01.700 And that's the way people are talking about Joe Biden.
00:05:04.340 No matter what happens in 2024, I'm not saying the Republican is definitely going to win that presidential campaign.
00:05:09.100 But at the moment, it just seems so unlikely that Biden even gets the nomination that people are talking about him now.
00:05:16.600 And it's, oh, poor, sad Joe.
00:05:18.000 Oh, man, this old, demented, poor, sad Joe.
00:05:20.300 That's really bad news for Joe Biden.
00:05:23.020 Even though his opponents are saying nice things about him, they're saying nice things about him because they don't fear him at all anymore.
00:05:28.940 Now, compare and contrast what the way the Democrats are talking about Biden with the way Republicans are talking about Trump.
00:05:36.440 The way Republicans are talking about Trump, they want him to run again.
00:05:39.780 And they expect him to run again.
00:05:41.180 And many expect him to win.
00:05:42.920 According to a morning consult Politico poll, so this is another left-wing poll, two-thirds of Republicans want Trump to run again.
00:05:50.760 They took this poll last October, and they asked Republicans, how many of you want Trump to run again?
00:05:57.580 The number was 67%, fully two-thirds.
00:06:01.100 And they've been hammering the sky, and they've had the January 6th committee, and you've seen other candidates position themselves in a strong way, especially Ron DeSantis in Florida.
00:06:10.120 And even with all of that, even with all of that, do you know what the number is today?
00:06:14.660 It was 67% in October.
00:06:16.880 Today, 66% of Republicans want Trump to run again.
00:06:21.160 Even after this deluge of negative press, booting Trump out of the public square, off of social media, even with all of that, he's lost one percentage point.
00:06:30.260 This guy, if Donald Trump runs for the nomination, right now, he wins it.
00:06:35.120 It's not even close.
00:06:36.760 It's not even remotely.
00:06:38.220 No matter, Ron DeSantis is amazing.
00:06:39.900 He's the greatest governor in Florida, maybe the greatest governor in America of my lifetime.
00:06:44.920 Doesn't matter.
00:06:46.280 It's going to be very, very hard to close that gap.
00:06:50.380 And it's funny.
00:06:51.240 The way that this was all presented to us a year ago, two years ago, you have Joe Biden, this unifier, the adult in the room, the man who's going to bring us together, return to normalcy.
00:07:00.220 And here's Trump, a terrible, awful insurrectionist who's not even a true Republican, not even a true conservative.
00:07:06.380 And what do you have now?
00:07:07.300 You've got the Democrats throwing Biden overboard, and you've got the Republicans essentially rallying around Trump.
00:07:13.020 Trump is even getting support from unlikely places.
00:07:16.640 This is my favorite defense of Trump that we've seen so far.
00:07:21.080 You know, the January 6th committee is still rolling along, and they're so close.
00:07:25.440 Adam Schiff, Liz Cheney, they're so close.
00:07:27.540 They've got just one more week, and they're going to prove that Donald Trump is secretly Hitler or something.
00:07:32.980 Donald Trump secretly tried to overthrow the government, and they're just not proving it.
00:07:37.360 They've never proven this case.
00:07:38.540 They had an impeachment trial, didn't do anything.
00:07:40.380 They had two impeachment trials, didn't do anything.
00:07:42.360 It's not real.
00:07:43.800 John Bolton, who was Donald Trump's national security advisor, then he kind of turned against Trump.
00:07:48.860 He wrote a book that was highly critical of Trump.
00:07:50.640 He's gone on a lot of TV shows critical of Trump.
00:07:52.780 He's broadly supportive of people like Liz Cheney, a lot of people who—
00:07:56.980 So, John Bolton has a lot of bona fides these days with the libs.
00:08:02.440 He goes on CNN.
00:08:03.340 He goes on MSNBC.
00:08:04.460 So, he's on CNN, and Jake Tapper says this was an insurrection.
00:08:08.280 Donald Trump led an insurrection.
00:08:09.900 And John Bolton says, actually, Jake, not so much.
00:08:15.000 It's not an attack on our democracy.
00:08:18.200 It's Donald Trump looking out for Donald Trump.
00:08:20.980 It's a once-in-a-lifetime occurrence.
00:08:23.080 I don't know that I agree with you, to be fair, with all due respect.
00:08:27.600 One doesn't have to be brilliant to attempt a coup.
00:08:31.560 I disagree with that.
00:08:32.880 As somebody who has helped plan coup d'etat, not here, but, you know, other places, it takes a lot of work.
00:08:39.360 And that's not what he did.
00:08:40.440 It was just stumbling around from one idea to another.
00:08:43.800 Ultimately, he did unleash the rioters at the Capitol.
00:08:47.100 As to that, there's no doubt.
00:08:48.680 But not to overthrow the Constitution, to buy more time to throw the matter back to the states to try and redo the issue.
00:08:56.720 And if you don't believe that, you're going to overreact.
00:09:00.220 And I think that's a real risk for the committee.
00:09:03.320 I absolutely love it.
00:09:05.020 It's marvelous.
00:09:05.940 I know John Bolton is not the most popular guy in conservative circles these days.
00:09:10.360 How do you not love that?
00:09:11.440 No, actually, John, we had you on this show to criticize Trump.
00:09:14.680 And I'm pretty sure, listen, this was a coup d'etat.
00:09:17.500 Jake, you have no idea what you're talking about.
00:09:20.320 It's hard for me.
00:09:20.980 I can't even get the John Bolton ethos because I don't have that giant walrus mustache.
00:09:25.220 But he's just standing there looking tough as nails.
00:09:26.960 He goes, Jake, you don't know what you're talking about.
00:09:29.080 As somebody who has planned plenty of coup d'etat around the world, I know what I'm talking about.
00:09:35.060 Listen, listen, Jake.
00:09:36.900 This is not a coup d'etat.
00:09:38.020 Coup d'etat was a friend of mine.
00:09:39.860 I knew coup d'etat and January 6th was no coup d'etat.
00:09:44.740 And he's right.
00:09:45.680 He's right.
00:09:46.560 And if January 6th had been a coup d'etat, we would have a new government right now because
00:09:53.860 the insurrectionists, so-called, they made it into the heart of the Senate, into the heart
00:10:01.120 of the House of Representatives.
00:10:02.640 They could have declared a new government.
00:10:04.900 But what happened?
00:10:06.440 What happened?
00:10:06.840 The horn-hat guy walked in to the chambers, being escorted by police, and then he stood
00:10:13.140 up and he kind of danced around a little bit.
00:10:15.560 And the various people showed up and they kind of made a mess of Nancy Pelosi's office.
00:10:19.780 And then they went home.
00:10:20.980 And they had a Coors Light in the Capitol Rotunda.
00:10:22.920 And then they left.
00:10:23.940 There was no plan to overthrow the government.
00:10:27.120 There was no plan to rip up the Constitution, declare a new government.
00:10:30.500 It was rowdy.
00:10:33.440 It was a riot.
00:10:34.580 Sure.
00:10:35.300 It was not a coup d'etat.
00:10:37.080 You heard it from the horse's mouth.

00:12:04.080 Crazy things going on in the Capitol.
00:12:06.880 I'm not talking about January 6th.
00:12:08.580 I'm talking about the most bizarre hearing that I have ever seen take place in the United
00:12:15.880 States Senate.
00:12:16.780 And I had to check myself on this.
00:12:18.500 I have not spent a lot of time around the U.S. Senate.
00:12:20.740 But I spoke last night to Senator Ted Cruz.
00:12:23.900 And I said, hey, man, you were in that hearing today.
00:12:27.140 That was pretty nuts, right?
00:12:28.660 And he said, Michael, in my decade in the Senate, I have never seen anything crazier.
00:12:33.140 The hearing was about abortion.
00:12:35.820 There was one person in particular who was testifying, Berkeley law professor Kiara Bridges,
00:12:41.960 who had had the entire testimony to send into a debate over whether or not men can get
00:12:49.940 pregnant.
00:12:50.520 This this occurred in particular during an exchange with Senator Josh Hawley.
00:12:55.920 This exchange is a little bit long.
00:12:58.160 Trust me, it's worth it.
00:12:59.700 You've referred to people with a capacity for pregnancy.
00:13:03.500 Would that be women?
00:13:04.520 Many women, cis women have the capacity for pregnancy.
00:13:10.200 Many cis women do not have the capacity for pregnancy.
00:13:13.220 There are also trans men who are capable of pregnancy, as well as non-binary people who
00:13:17.100 are capable of pregnancy.
00:13:18.220 So this isn't really a women's rights issue.
00:13:21.000 We can recognize that this impacts women while also recognizing that it impacts other groups.
00:13:25.980 Those things are not mutually exclusive, Senator Hawley.
00:13:28.520 Oh, so your view is, is that the core of this, this right then is about what?
00:13:34.540 So, um, I want to recognize that your line of questioning, um, is transphobic, um, and
00:13:40.520 it opens up trans people to violence by not recognizing that.
00:13:43.540 Wow, you're saying that I'm opening up people to violence by asking whether or not women are
00:13:47.380 the folks who can have pregnancies?
00:13:48.900 So I'm one, I want to note that one out of five transgender, uh, persons have attempted
00:13:54.960 suicide.
00:13:55.840 So I think it's important.
00:13:56.900 Because of my line of questioning?
00:13:57.980 So we can't talk about it?
00:13:59.740 Because denying that trans people exist and pretending not to know that they exist is
00:14:04.960 I'm denying that trans people exist by asking you if you're talking about women having pregnancies.
00:14:09.660 Do you believe that men can get pregnant?
00:14:12.620 No, I don't think men can get pregnant.
00:14:13.540 So you're denying that trans people exist?
00:14:15.420 Thank you.
00:14:15.480 And that leads to violence?
00:14:16.640 Is this how you run your classroom?
00:14:18.000 Are students allowed to question you?
00:14:19.680 Absolutely.
00:14:19.960 Or are they also treated like this?
00:14:21.700 No, no, no, they're allowed to question me.
00:14:22.160 They're told that they're opening up people to violence by questioning.
00:14:24.560 Oh, we have a good time in my class.
00:14:26.180 You should join.
00:14:26.720 I bet.
00:14:27.100 You might learn a lot.
00:14:27.980 Wow.
00:14:28.620 I would learn a lot.
00:14:29.860 I've learned a lot just in this exchange.
00:14:31.460 Absolutely.
00:14:32.180 Extraordinary.
00:14:33.020 What an extraordinary, magnificent exchange.
00:14:36.340 Senator Hawley deserves an award for patience.
00:14:39.980 You can tell.
00:14:41.100 You look at that woman's eyes and the crazy is there.
00:14:44.420 Because you're denying that trans people exist.
00:14:47.340 He goes, what?
00:14:48.040 How did I do that?
00:14:49.060 Do you think men can get pregnant?
00:14:51.160 No.
00:14:51.620 Well, you're denying that they exist.
00:14:54.800 And she keeps using this phrase.
00:14:56.580 She uses this phrase, people who can get pregnant, people who are capable of pregnancy.
00:15:01.260 All of these euphemisms because she doesn't want to say the word woman.
00:15:03.940 And she believes the word woman, I guess, is transphobic.
00:15:07.600 The real irony here is in the Harvard Law Review, this woman, Kiara Bridges, has an article from just a couple of years ago.
00:15:14.880 This is January 2020, in which she uses the word woman 45 times and the word women 349 times.
00:15:24.280 While talking about abortion, she's speaking, she's specifically an expert on abortion.
00:15:28.440 And in just two years, she has completely changed her mode of speaking, her mode of thinking about human nature.
00:15:37.860 And now the word woman, with regard to pregnancy and abortion, is considered transphobic.
00:15:43.440 Transphobic.
00:15:44.160 So I endorse this woman for the Democrat nominee for president.
00:15:47.540 I think that Kiara Bridges, the more that we play of Kiara Bridges on TV, on the internet, we put her out on the campaign trail.
00:15:54.540 I think that Republicans are going to win all 57 states if we put this woman out there as the face of the Democrat Party.
00:16:02.160 The Democrats seem fine with this.
00:16:03.580 They call this Berkeley law professor to come testify.
00:16:06.740 They agree with a lot of her premises.
00:16:08.320 And to her credit, by the way, I haven't seen a lot of conservatives defending this point, but we really should, to be fair.
00:16:15.040 When she says that conservatives believe that trans people don't exist, she's right.
00:16:20.220 She's correct.
00:16:21.140 Conservatives do not believe that trans people exist.
00:16:24.440 They don't.
00:16:25.180 They don't exist.
00:16:26.480 That's not it.
00:16:27.880 Transgender is not a category of being that is real.
00:16:31.740 You can't be that.
00:16:32.560 Some people might say, well, listen, I believe that trans people exist.
00:16:36.200 I believe that people think that they're the opposite sex.
00:16:38.420 They're not really the opposite sex, but I think they think that, right.
00:16:40.660 So you're saying people with gender identity disorder exist.
00:16:44.760 You're saying people with gender dysphoria exist.
00:16:47.520 But transgender people do not exist.
00:16:50.480 They can't exist because to be transgender is to accept or to even accept the category of transgenderism is to accept the premise that a man really can be a woman.
00:17:00.680 That's why there's a different term for transgenderism and gender identity disorder.
00:17:05.320 This is why the people who are men who think that they're women identify themselves as transgender.
00:17:09.960 They don't identify themselves as people with gender identity disorder.
00:17:14.240 Sort of like saying, you know, a skinny person who thinks that he is a fat person is anorexic.
00:17:22.840 Yes, he is anorexic.
00:17:25.440 He is not a secretly fat person.
00:17:28.580 He is not a invisibly fat person.
00:17:32.580 In this analogy here, anorexia and gender identity disorder and gender dysphoria, those are all medical conditions that ought to be treated and corrected.
00:17:42.820 Transgenderism, male to female or female to male or a transitioned person would be the analogous to a really skinny, very fat person.
00:17:51.960 It's just, it's a, it's a logical impossibility.
00:17:55.720 It's not a real category.
00:17:57.220 And conservatives don't want to say this because one will be deplatformed.
00:18:00.780 If you tweet that out, if you say transgender people do not exist, I think that is a direct violation of Twitter's rules.
00:18:06.300 And so you could be taken off the platform for that.
00:18:09.160 So we're not allowed to say that.
00:18:10.640 And we also feel kind of icky.
00:18:12.480 We've accepted the left's premise that it's somehow bigoted to say that transgender people do not exist.
00:18:16.700 No, people exist, confused people exist, sexually eccentric people exist, but transgender people do not exist.
00:18:26.220 They cannot exist because that is not an actual ontological category.
00:18:31.560 Not to put too fine a point on it.
00:18:34.640 Until recently, not even the libs thought that transgender people exist.
00:18:39.900 Look no further than the woman who created the TV show Friends.
00:18:44.040 Friends is the absolutely liberal sitcom par excellence from the 1990s.
00:18:53.040 These people living in New York, living kind of liberal, decadent lives.
00:18:58.760 It pushes a broadly liberal, not exclusively, but broadly liberal message.
00:19:03.640 And one of the jokes in the show is that Chandler's father is a transvestite.
00:19:08.920 That was one of the jokes in the show.
00:19:10.760 And now the co-creator, Marta Kaufman, has had to apologize for this.
00:19:14.040 She says, we kept referring to Chandler's father, to Helena, the character, as Chandler's father, even though Chandler's father was trans.
00:19:24.920 And she suggested that they ought to have referred to Chandler's father once he had transitioned as Chandler's mother.
00:19:32.780 She says, pronouns were not yet something that I understood, so we didn't refer to that character as she.
00:19:36.960 That was a mistake.
00:19:37.700 So the whole reason that they had this character of Chandler's father, who was a transvestite, is because it's funny.
00:19:45.400 Because men aren't supposed to do that.
00:19:47.540 It was funny.
00:19:48.380 And so the juxtaposition, the incongruity there is funny, and it's supposed to make you laugh on the situational comedy.
00:19:55.280 But now we're living in a world of absurdity.
00:19:59.160 We're living in clown world.
00:20:00.400 And so the things that were funny, even to the liberals 20 years ago, are now very somber and serious.
00:20:07.240 And now this woman, Marta Kaufman, the things she's saying on her apology tour are much funnier than anything that ever aired on Friends.
00:20:14.120 The idea that when a father pretends to be a woman, that he all of a sudden becomes your mother, that is much crazier even than saying that a man can become a woman.
00:20:27.780 Chandler's father on Friends, I can't believe we're spending this much time on Chandler's father and this stupid TV show.
00:20:32.960 But Chandler's father, even if he puts on a dress, even if he calls himself Helena, even if everyone accepts that he is now actually a woman, still would not be Chandler's mother.
00:20:46.120 Chandler's father did not bear Chandler in his womb.
00:20:51.020 Chandler's father did not give birth to Chandler.
00:20:55.180 Chandler's father, even if he forces everybody to accept the absurd notion that he is now a woman,
00:21:01.320 Chandler's father cannot possibly ever have been or be now Chandler's mother.
00:21:07.240 A mother is an actual role that involves having done something to another person.
00:21:13.760 To be a mother is to define yourself in a relationship to another person, namely your child.
00:21:21.220 And if you do not have the relationship of mother and child, then you can't be that mother.
00:21:27.180 This is the logical, illogical conclusion of radical individualism.
00:21:35.500 But it reminds us, this is, I'm sure Marta Kaufman did not sign up for this when she went on her apology tour about the transvestite jokes.
00:21:42.020 But it actually shows you why the leftist and hyper-individualist, even you sometimes see it on the right,
00:21:49.600 why these views of humanity are ultimately insufficient.
00:21:52.680 The view that we're just, we're just living for us, just me, me, me, all hyper-individualism.
00:21:58.300 On the left, they talk about it socially, on the right, they tend to talk it more economically.
00:22:01.460 But the idea that we are just individuals born as free-floating atoms, that's ridiculous.
00:22:07.600 The way that we view our identities in society are relational because man is a social creature, the political animal.
00:22:13.720 We define our roles in life in relation to one another.
00:22:17.780 If you're a wife, that means that you have a husband.
00:22:20.460 You cannot be a wife if you don't have a husband.
00:22:22.680 If you're a mother, you have to have a child.
00:22:25.220 You cannot be a mother without having a child.
00:22:28.220 If you're a child, a son or a daughter, it means you have to have a mother or a father.
00:22:32.080 We are relational beings.
00:22:34.100 That's why you have to have some grasp on reality.
00:22:37.700 Because if we're all just living in our own deluded fantasy lands, we sever the connection that we have to one another.
00:22:43.200 We can no longer even communicate.
00:22:44.980 We can't even use the word woman.

00:24:35.460 We'll be right back with a lot more.
00:24:36.560 I discovered a contradiction on deadnaming.
00:24:52.540 I did.
00:24:54.280 On behalf of the transgender community, I discovered a great travesty that has gone on in Hollywood of all places.
00:25:00.820 Ellen Page, she who must not be named, she who, if you name her on Twitter,
00:25:06.040 you will be kicked off of Twitter and booted out of the public square.
00:25:08.740 Ellen Page, the actress who now says she's a man and goes by Elliot Page,
00:25:12.160 is being deadnamed.
00:25:14.580 Deadnamed, that's when you call someone by their real name, not their new crazy fake name.
00:25:18.880 She's being deadnamed by Hollywood, by the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences, by the Oscars.
00:25:24.940 If you go on the Oscars website, you will notice that they still list Ellen Page under their nominees
00:25:32.720 because she was nominated for that movie, Juno.
00:25:37.000 And we all laugh because, yes, of course, she, even if you think that she's a man now, which she isn't,
00:25:43.060 she obviously was a woman in Juno.
00:25:44.580 It's a movie about a woman getting an abortion.
00:25:47.000 Though I guess you could talk to that Berkeley professor and she'd say that men can get abortions too.
00:25:50.560 We all look at that, we say, Ellen didn't call herself Elliot in those days.
00:25:55.200 Ellen called herself Ellen and knew that she was a woman.
00:25:57.500 She's called herself Ellen for 33 and for 35 years on earth.
00:26:00.580 So, of course, but the new rule on Wikipedia, on social media, on Twitter, on Facebook, on YouTube,
00:26:06.900 on all these places is if someone now identifies with a new name and new pronouns,
00:26:12.140 you have to refer to that person by those names, by that name and by those pronouns
00:26:16.740 when referring to their entire life.
00:26:19.260 And here we see an example of a contradiction.
00:26:25.560 The Academy, we're now halfway into July.
00:26:28.500 The Academy still has its pride flag up on its social media profiles.
00:26:33.120 So it says we're the LGBT, as LGBT as they come.
00:26:36.540 Well, they are deadnaming Ellen Page.
00:26:39.680 Are they going to be kicked off of Twitter?
00:26:41.620 Are they going to be booted out of the public square?
00:26:44.340 Are they, probably not, they're probably not going to face any consequences at all.
00:26:47.120 But it is rank hypocrisy.
00:26:49.920 The Academy gets to deadname Ellen Page.
00:26:52.360 Jordan Peterson does not.
00:26:53.720 What's that about?
00:26:54.420 Well, what that's about is there's two sets of rules.
00:26:56.660 Speaking of popular films, I hope that you have not watched too much of Hunter Biden's oeuvre.
00:27:03.640 Hunter Biden's laptop was exposed and his cell phone was exposed.
00:27:08.060 And the guy, the guy filmed himself committing all sorts of disgusting acts.
00:27:14.860 I'm not sure that the guy has ever committed a crime that he did not film.
00:27:18.500 Lots and lots of hookers, lots and lots of drugs, lots and lots of creepy stuff.
00:27:23.440 It's all out there.
00:27:24.400 We have video evidence of the guy committing all sorts of crimes.
00:27:27.240 We have documentary evidence of him committing what are probably more serious financial crimes.
00:27:32.720 Evidence of lots of, lots of financial corruption.
00:27:37.360 And now they're saying it is being reported that Hunter Biden could face charges.
00:27:43.560 Not for the financial stuff, not even for the drug stuff, just for the hookers.
00:27:48.340 But according to experts in the mainstream media,
00:27:52.740 Joe Biden's son Hunter could face federal charges related to prostitution
00:27:57.480 while he's under investigation for other stuff.
00:28:00.500 He could face charges according to the experts.
00:28:04.220 But according to people who know how the political system actually works,
00:28:07.340 he won't.
00:28:08.520 He won't.
00:28:09.380 He's not going to, he's not going to face any actual consequences.
00:28:14.300 Do you, do you really believe that Hunter Biden is ever going to be wearing an orange jumpsuit?
00:28:20.660 No, you don't.
00:28:22.000 But he should.
00:28:23.160 Yeah, sure.
00:28:24.260 And it, it's unjust.
00:28:25.880 Uh-huh.
00:28:27.060 But do you believe right now that Hunter Biden is ever going to face actual consequences
00:28:32.620 for his brazen criminality?
00:28:38.420 No.
00:28:39.380 And why won't he?
00:28:40.860 Because we know that there are two tracks in the justice system.
00:28:44.780 Just as there are two tracks for ordinary people on the street,
00:28:49.220 just as there are two tracks for the LM goes out and burns down buildings and kills people
00:28:53.860 and robs stores and they get a slap on the wrist and usually get their charges dismissed.
00:28:57.660 Meanwhile, the horn hat guy goes in and dances around the Capitol.
00:29:00.260 They throw him in solitary and throw away the key.
00:29:02.980 Two different tracks for political dissent and protest.
00:29:06.880 So, too, there are different tracks for people who are connected.
00:29:10.980 Hunter Biden is Joe Biden's son.
00:29:13.000 He just won't face consequences.
00:29:15.980 Now, speaking of crime and punishment, this is really important because when,
00:29:18.980 when crime begins to spread, it has effects all throughout society.
00:29:25.400 There are actually three kinds of criminality that we're talking about here.
00:29:27.800 We're talking about crime, like regular thug on the street goes and robs a liquor store.
00:29:31.940 Then we're talking about lawlessness in the enforcement agencies, the FBI and other law
00:29:36.140 enforcement agencies, when they don't enforce the law and they let criminals off the hook.
00:29:39.840 That's another kind of lawlessness.
00:29:41.160 And then there's the third kind that you see typified by Hunter Biden and other members of
00:29:45.480 the Biden family, where people who are connected to the government, the people who are supposed to be
00:29:50.920 setting the better example, who are either directly or indirectly involved in law enforcement
00:29:56.340 through family ties, when they are the ones committing the crimes.
00:30:00.620 Those are three different types of lawlessness.
00:30:03.040 The latter is the most scandalous.
00:30:04.660 And when one spreads, they all kind of spread.
00:30:09.480 You don't, when, when the law enforcement agencies stop enforcing the law, what happens?
00:30:13.620 You get more crime.
00:30:14.920 When the people at the top who were supposed to be in charge and setting the example,
00:30:18.680 when they commit crimes themselves, that sends a message to the rest of the law enforcement
00:30:23.420 agencies that now we're not going to take these things so seriously.
00:30:26.280 No one really believes Biden's FBI and Biden's DOJ are going to go after Hunter Biden.
00:30:30.900 No one really believes that.
00:30:32.000 And they're going to, by the way, when, when Kamala Harris is out raising money to bail out
00:30:36.040 the BLM rioters, that's a message to the BLM rioters and to Antifa and just regular street
00:30:41.020 thugs that they're not going to get in trouble.
00:30:42.760 As long as they check a few different boxes, they're going to be just fine.
00:30:45.720 And so the lawlessness spreads.
00:30:48.780 You see it all the way down to little kids.
00:30:50.680 There's a video that's just gone viral of little kids in Minneapolis screaming at, cursing
00:30:56.760 at, and actually hitting police officers.
00:30:59.160 So you see this little kid, two little black kids, yelling profanities at these cops and
00:31:10.980 swinging at them, punching the cops.
00:31:14.920 Now they're what?
00:31:15.720 They're like three years old or something, walking around in their underwear.
00:31:18.920 And you've got some older people, you've got some adults behind them, or at least older
00:31:24.600 teenagers, maybe adults, also shirtless, not wearing all their clothing, pants down below
00:31:31.360 their underwear, allowing this to happen.
00:31:36.140 How do you think life is going to turn out for those kids?
00:31:39.580 Not great.
00:31:41.040 What are the cops going to do?
00:31:43.100 The cop, one, the cops are not going to arrest little kids.
00:31:45.540 The cops are not even going to stop little kids from hitting them.
00:31:49.080 And especially they're not going to stop them because they're black kids.
00:31:51.780 And because this is Minneapolis and we're living in the era post-George Floyd, where
00:31:57.860 Ben Stein made this point the other day, where you have explicit calls from people in political
00:32:03.760 authority to let black people commit crimes.
00:32:07.300 Let black people off the hook for crimes, punish people of other races, specifically white
00:32:12.200 people to a greater degree for crimes and have a two-tiered system.
00:32:16.460 And they justify it with all sorts of piffle about systemic oppression and history and all
00:32:21.980 this other stuff.
00:32:23.100 But what they're saying is, even during the BLM riots, they said, we just need to let people
00:32:28.720 vent their emotions by stealing Gucci handbags and Nike sneakers.
00:32:33.280 We just need to let people let it out by torching the city, but only for a night or two.
00:32:36.980 Then we're going to bring law and order back.
00:32:39.500 Do you think that's good?
00:32:40.500 Yeah, it's good for black people.
00:32:43.400 Yeah, it's good for anybody.
00:32:44.500 I don't think that's good at all.
00:32:45.660 Do you think these little kids, who obviously have complete deadbeat degenerate parents,
00:32:50.540 if they have parents at all, I'm not even sure if the parents are around, whoever those
00:32:53.340 older adults are in the frame, though, they're sort of just slightly out of frame.
00:32:58.260 You can only see part of their bodies.
00:32:59.620 But whoever they are, they're completely irresponsible.
00:33:01.920 They're neglecting the education of these kids.
00:33:04.620 The kids are statistically very likely to turn out bad.
00:33:07.940 I mean, they don't even put the kids in clothing.
00:33:09.460 The adults themselves aren't wearing clothing.
00:33:12.480 Do you think that's going to set these kids up for success?
00:33:15.020 No.
00:33:16.380 The best thing that could possibly happen to these kids is, and there's really no way
00:33:21.340 politically for it even to occur right now in Minneapolis, is for those cops to grab
00:33:25.400 the little kids and say, hey, stop it.
00:33:28.240 Naughty.
00:33:29.060 Naughty, naughty.
00:33:29.900 Don't do that.
00:33:30.580 You're not allowed to hit police officers.
00:33:32.580 Shut your mouth.
00:33:33.440 Don't use that kind of language.
00:33:34.520 I'm going to wash your mouth out with soap.
00:33:36.680 Your parents, if they're even around, need to be punished a little more severely than
00:33:40.680 you.
00:33:40.880 I'm just giving you a stern talking to.
00:33:42.440 But stop it.
00:33:43.180 You're not going to have a successful life if you do that.
00:33:45.780 It's wrong for you to do that.
00:33:47.700 Wrong for you to speak to your elders that way.
00:33:50.500 Wrong for you to speak to law enforcement that way.
00:33:53.060 And if you continue down this path, you're going to have a terrible life and you're going
00:33:55.920 to wind up like Hunter Biden.
00:33:56.940 So don't do it.
00:33:58.120 It's a bad, it's a bad idea.
00:34:00.140 That's, that's not harming a kid.
00:34:03.780 That's not oppressing a kid.
00:34:05.680 That's loving a kid.
00:34:07.820 That's, it's tough love, but it's, people need a little bit of tough love sometimes.
00:34:12.420 And the parents could use really tough love.
00:34:14.520 The parents could use a little bit more than a stern talking to.
00:34:16.880 The parents should be told, get your life together, get, get your kids in line or, or
00:34:21.960 else.
00:34:22.800 Or, or you're going to be wearing the orange jumpsuit that Hunter will not be wearing.
00:34:25.960 Speaking of getting tough, the 2024 race is heating up on the Republican side and you
00:34:32.060 are seeing now a battle of the two biggest, brashest billionaires on social media.
00:34:40.000 You are seeing a battle between Donald Trump and Elon Musk.
00:34:45.740 Another one of our highest priorities under a Republican Congress will be to stop left-wing
00:34:50.900 censorship and to restore free speech in America.
00:34:55.960 And go out, by the way, while I'm here and sign up now for Truth Social.
00:35:01.480 It's hot as a pistol.
00:35:02.560 And you see that I pull that one, right?
00:35:05.300 Leon, I tell you what, Elon, Elon is not going to buy Twitter.
00:35:12.740 Where did you hear that before?
00:35:14.660 From me.
00:35:16.840 From a fake account.
00:35:18.420 She says fake.
00:35:19.260 A lot of them.
00:35:20.600 Nah, he's got himself a mess.
00:35:21.960 You know, he said the other day, oh, I've never voted for a Republican.
00:35:24.880 I said, I didn't know that.
00:35:25.980 He told me he voted for me.
00:35:28.380 So he's another artist, but he's not going to be buying it.
00:35:32.260 He's not going to be buying it.
00:35:34.060 Although he might later.
00:35:35.200 Who the hell knows what's going to happen?
00:35:36.520 He's got a pretty rotten contract.
00:35:38.160 I looked at his contract.
00:35:39.180 Not a good contract.
00:35:40.520 He's rotten.
00:35:42.700 It's absolutely.
00:35:43.240 So he's really going after Elon Musk here.
00:35:45.360 And he's doing it in the way that Trump always goes after people.
00:35:50.480 He lets the other guy hit first.
00:35:52.840 This is not an aggressive.
00:35:55.260 This is not a preemptive attack on Elon Musk.
00:35:59.480 Elon hit him first, in Trump's mind, by saying I've never voted for a Republican.
00:36:04.120 I've never supported a Republican.
00:36:05.220 What that means is Elon's saying, I didn't support Trump.
00:36:08.340 So Trump says, okay, well, you told me you did when you came and groveled for more government
00:36:13.600 handouts, Elon.
00:36:14.700 So suck it, Elon.
00:36:15.800 You're a jerk.
00:36:16.620 You're not buying Twitter.
00:36:17.620 It was all a scam in the first place.
00:36:19.200 I told you it was a scam.
00:36:20.320 Elon's terrible.
00:36:21.100 I'm the man.
00:36:21.960 Forget about Twitter.
00:36:22.820 Sign up for Truth Social.
00:36:24.020 And he just unleashes in that very Trumpy way.
00:36:26.320 That wasn't all of it.
00:36:27.240 He then went on Truth Social, because Trump is not allowed on Twitter.
00:36:30.600 He went on Truth Social, posted a picture of Elon posing with then President Trump.
00:36:37.380 And says, when Elon Musk came to the White House asking me for help on all of his many
00:36:41.800 subsidized projects, whether it's electric cars that don't drive long enough, driverless
00:36:45.820 cars that crash, or rocket ships to nowhere, without which subsidies he'd be worthless,
00:36:50.920 and telling me how he was a big Trump fan and a Republican, I could have said, drop to
00:36:54.920 your knees and beg, and he would have done it.
00:36:57.480 And then it goes on.
00:36:58.480 There's another one, too.
00:36:59.560 He just keeps going on and on and on about Elon Musk.
00:37:04.160 Because Elon did strike first.
00:37:05.820 Now, you might say, Elon has every right to say that he's not a Republican and hasn't
00:37:11.140 voted for Republicans before.
00:37:12.880 Trump doesn't need to take this so personally.
00:37:14.840 But this is how Trump plays politics, and everybody knows it.
00:37:19.200 Frankly, I actually don't think that this attack on Elon Musk is designed as a message
00:37:24.360 for Elon Musk.
00:37:25.200 I think this is a message for Ron DeSantis and Ted Cruz and Mike Pompeo and Mike Pence
00:37:34.800 and Nikki Haley and anyone else who might run for president in 2024.
00:37:40.360 The message is, I'm going to be really nice, we're going to play nice, until you, in even
00:37:47.100 the slightest way, come after me, and then I am going to go nuclear on you.
00:37:54.740 And Elon happens to be the object of that ire right now.
00:37:59.820 But the message is not for Elon.
00:38:01.380 The message is for the people who could challenge Trump.
00:38:04.160 And it's a message that DeSantis and all the rest of the potential 2024 people should take
00:38:09.420 very seriously, because right now Trump is so far up in the polls, he's got the support
00:38:16.380 of the Republicans.
00:38:17.520 Even though I know a lot of very politically active, aware, very online conservatives are
00:38:24.760 saying, you know, I liked Trump, but he's had his time, it's time to move on.
00:38:29.180 That's what Elon said.
00:38:30.300 You know, well, maybe we should move.
00:38:32.420 I think Elon said something to this effect.
00:38:34.380 You know, it's sort of time to move on.
00:38:35.840 Um, and I don't, that's not where the Republican base is right now.
00:38:41.600 That's not where the polls, the polls are right now.
00:38:44.540 And so you, you're now in this position.
00:38:47.680 Actually, I think the way Elon phrased it was, he said, there should also be an age limit
00:38:51.140 for president.
00:38:51.780 You shouldn't be able to run for president over the age of 69.
00:38:54.740 And I think it was just so he could make a joke about the number 69, which is kind of
00:38:58.080 the way that he plays social media as well.
00:39:00.920 But this is a game.
00:39:01.960 This is a high level game and people down in Florida, people down in Texas, people up
00:39:08.800 in all over the place, all over the country who might be considering a run for president
00:39:12.440 are taking note of this sort of thing.
00:39:15.920 Now, I think there is a chance for some Republican candidates to beat Trump.
00:39:21.900 2024 is a long way away.
00:39:23.860 Other people though are delusional.
00:39:25.920 One of whom is the governor of Maryland, Larry Hogan, who in an interview that was just
00:39:33.400 published yesterday, told CBS News that more and more people are encouraging him to run
00:39:40.400 for president.
00:39:42.380 Who are these people?
00:39:44.040 Are any of those people out there?
00:39:45.660 Are we, where is the nationwide wave of Hogan-mentum coming around?
00:39:50.440 Where is, I don't, I don't quite see it in the polls.
00:39:54.640 One of the ironies for the people who are most critical of Trump is that they themselves
00:40:02.240 embody all of the tics and even the worst eccentricities that they accused Trump of
00:40:09.760 having.
00:40:10.860 So you'd have the Lincoln Project.
00:40:12.980 Remember the Lincoln Project?
00:40:14.740 The, that, speaking of pedophiles and sex crimes, the Lincoln Project was this group of Republican
00:40:22.600 consultants who got pushed out of the game because Trump didn't want to hire them.
00:40:27.520 And so, because they're absolute prostitutes, they just went and worked for the Democrats and
00:40:32.300 raised a lot of money from Democrats and then said, we, we, we're principled Republicans.
00:40:36.660 We're not like that unprincipled, boor, Bulgarian Donald Trump.
00:40:40.020 We're principled.
00:40:40.880 And then they ran the most vulgar, boorish, disgusting campaigns you can imagine.
00:40:46.200 We're not like this terrible man, Donald Trump, who has no character.
00:40:49.400 Meanwhile, the Lincoln Project gets caught as being a bunch of pederasts, homosexual pedos
00:40:54.180 who were trying to groom young kids and offer them the prospect of jobs if they would, if
00:41:00.200 they would engage in sex acts with them while, while these guys cheated on their wives.
00:41:03.340 So they, they, whatever they could accuse Trump of on the sex front, on the rhetoric front,
00:41:08.820 on any front, they themselves were embodying much worse behavior.
00:41:12.140 And you're even seeing hints of that here with Larry Hogan.
00:41:15.380 He says, listen, more and more people are telling me to run.
00:41:19.200 Look, look, everybody's talking about it.
00:41:21.780 They're all saying, Larry Hogan, we really want Larry to run for president.
00:41:25.580 It's like a really sad caricature of a guy trying to do a Donald Trump impression.
00:41:30.560 And obviously nobody wants this guy to run for president.
00:41:33.280 Probably most of his own family doesn't want him to run for president.
00:41:37.160 Hogan's argument is there's a diminishing number of folks that are wanting the former
00:41:40.680 president Trump to run.
00:41:42.220 There's a growing number of people that are looking for our kind of successful,
00:41:46.160 bigger tent politics.
00:41:48.180 Even this, even this line, successful, bigger tent politics.
00:41:53.020 Donald Trump is the biggest tent Republican, the most successfully big tent Republican I've
00:41:58.140 ever seen in my lifetime.
00:41:59.660 Donald Trump expanded the Republican Party's reach to Hispanic voters.
00:42:05.460 Donald Trump expanded the Republican Party's reach to black voters.
00:42:09.220 Donald Trump expanded the Republican Party's reach to working class voters who were previously
00:42:14.980 Democrats, union Democrats, blue collar workers.
00:42:18.960 He greatly expanded the Republican Party's reach to that demographic.
00:42:22.340 Donald Trump expanded the Republican Party's reach to gay voters, for goodness sakes.
00:42:26.860 Donald Trump, he was the first presidential candidate to ever launch his campaign supporting
00:42:31.880 gay marriage.
00:42:32.940 Joe Biden didn't start his political campaigns supporting gay marriage.
00:42:38.040 Certainly not Barack Obama or Hillary Clinton, all of whom said that marriage is a sacred
00:42:41.560 union between a man and a woman.
00:42:42.880 Now, you might say, well, I wish Donald Trump did defend the traditional understanding of
00:42:47.740 marriage that prevailed everywhere for all of human history until five minutes ago.
00:42:50.600 Maybe you say, I wish that were the case.
00:42:52.120 But one thing you can't accuse him of is not being big tent.
00:42:54.400 The guy's a very, very big tent.
00:42:55.680 Is Larry Hogan a big tent Republican?
00:42:59.420 What's his base of support?
00:43:01.260 Does 66% of the Republican Party want Larry Hogan to be president?
00:43:04.540 I don't think so.
00:43:05.960 Speaking of governors that I don't like very much, Democrat up in New York, Kathy Hochul,
00:43:11.420 who is trying to take away New Yorkers' Second Amendment rights.
00:43:14.080 This clip came from a week or two ago, but I really want to get to it because it shows
00:43:18.380 you the kind of hubris that you're seeing from the ruling class.
00:43:22.080 So you had a major win for the Second Amendment in New York thanks to the U.S. Supreme Court.
00:43:26.840 The Supreme Court in the New York Pistol and Rifle Association case came out and said that
00:43:33.080 New Yorkers have a right to keep and bear arms and they can carry weapons and that's that.
00:43:37.660 So New York is really upset.
00:43:39.120 Some of their gun laws were struck down.
00:43:40.400 They're trying to institute new gun laws.
00:43:42.760 And a reporter asked this Governor Hochul a question, said, hold on, is there, do you have
00:43:47.580 any evidence that the guns that you're banning and the people you're banning from owning
00:43:51.940 guns are actually involved in the homicide problem in New York?
00:43:57.220 Here's Hochul's answer.
00:43:59.040 Do you have the numbers to show that it's the concealed carry permit holders that are committing
00:44:05.120 crimes?
00:44:05.700 Because the lawful gun owner will say that you're attacking the wrong person.
00:44:10.860 It's really people that are getting these guns illegally that are causing the violence,
00:44:15.020 not the people going and getting the permit legally.
00:44:18.760 And that's the basis for the whole Supreme Court argument.
00:44:22.100 Do you have the numbers?
00:44:23.760 I don't need to have numbers.
00:44:26.020 I don't need I don't have to have a data point to point to to say that this is going to
00:44:30.180 make all I know is I have a responsibility to the people of the state to have sensible gun
00:44:34.920 safety laws.
00:44:35.760 And this one was not devised by the Hochul administration.
00:44:38.860 It comes out of an administration from 1908.
00:44:41.640 I don't need a data point to make the case that I have a responsibility to protect the people
00:44:45.940 of this state.
00:44:46.540 Sure, that's true.
00:44:48.240 You don't need you don't need statistics to know that you have a responsibility to protect
00:44:53.320 the people of the state.
00:44:54.060 But the question is, do you have any evidence that your law will protect the people of the
00:44:58.960 state?
00:45:00.600 Hochul is using a clever rhetorical device here because I also think that statistics are generally
00:45:05.040 bogus.
00:45:06.040 And statistics come about in the last really only in the last 150, 200 years or so.
00:45:11.760 And it comes as part of this big expansion of the technocratic state.
00:45:15.820 The very word statistic refers to the the data that go into the management of the state.
00:45:22.080 And it it has all sorts of problems for conservative political philosophy.
00:45:25.720 And it really feeds into the progressive project broadly.
00:45:27.920 So I I'm also not that interested in citing statistic after statistic.
00:45:33.340 statistic, but you do need evidence, don't you?
00:45:36.680 Yes, it's true.
00:45:37.320 Your job, Kathy Hochul, is to pursue justice.
00:45:40.000 Your job is to protect the people of your state and ensure the common good.
00:45:43.240 OK, what is your evidence that these gun laws will do it?
00:45:47.820 She says, I don't have any evidence.
00:45:50.560 I don't have a statistic.
00:45:52.200 I don't even have an anecdote.
00:45:53.760 I have no I don't have a philosophical argument.
00:45:56.240 I don't have any evidence whatsoever.
00:45:58.200 I just want to do it.
00:46:00.340 I'm just going to do it.
00:46:01.460 And that is a kind of governance without logic.
00:46:05.620 That is we got we got two faculties we can use when we're talking about government here.
00:46:10.480 When we're talking about our even our own personal lives, we've got our will and we've
00:46:14.740 got our intellect.
00:46:16.920 Intellect without will, you're not going to do very much.
00:46:19.260 Will without intellect, you're not going to do very many good things.
00:46:21.660 Ideally, you combine the two and you allow your intellect to inform your will and then
00:46:26.660 you act in a way that is in accordance with right reason and with the good.
00:46:31.160 That's when politics is functioning best.
00:46:33.340 And the founding fathers wrote about these sorts of things at great length.
00:46:35.840 That's kind of what this government was supposed to be about.
00:46:39.140 When you divorce the will from the intellect, then you get tyranny, essentially.
00:46:44.260 Then you just get people a politics that that devolves to people just pursuing their
00:46:48.860 own basist, immediate, unreasonable interests and desires.
00:46:55.880 And that is not very good government at all.
00:46:57.840 There, you can't have civil dialogue.
00:46:59.360 There, you can't have a reasonable debate.
00:47:01.500 There, it's just two teams clubbing each other until one side wins.
00:47:06.680 And unfortunately, it's not the troglodytes with the big thick eyebrows who are, you know,
00:47:12.280 look like Neanderthals dragging clubs around who are pursuing this kind of politics.
00:47:16.120 It's all the geniuses who went to all the really good schools who wear the really fancy lab
00:47:19.980 coats who tell you, get your 17th booster shot because this one's going to be very safe and
00:47:24.060 effective.
00:47:24.540 And that's going to do whatever we say, even when what we say contradicts what we said
00:47:29.300 just yesterday, even when there's no logic to it whatsoever, you will do what I do, what
00:47:33.260 I tell you to do.
00:47:34.140 You will comply or else.
00:47:35.980 That's the kind of politics we're looking at.
00:47:37.500 That's why we got to get really, really tough here if we want to return in any way to a
00:47:42.600 politics informed by reason.
