00:00:00.000 In our hyper-partisan political environment, it's easy to get stuck in our own talking points
00:00:05.100 and refuse to listen to the arguments of the other side, especially on hot-button social issues,
00:00:11.200 on hot-button civil rights issues, on constitutional issues like the Second Amendment,
00:00:16.920 right to keep and bear arms. But this is a republic. We've got to learn to live together.
00:00:21.580 We've got to learn to compromise sometimes. And I have just heard a gun control proposal
00:00:27.160 care of Indianapolis Colts GM Chris Ballard that I think I might actually be willing to get behind.
00:00:35.340 It's a shame. You know, Highland Park, Uvalde, Greenwood, Buffalo. I mean, when is it?
00:00:42.480 You know, when do we, when does some common sense come into play? And when does this end?
00:00:49.080 When do, when do our elected officials actually do something about it instead of their own political
00:00:55.780 game? And both sides of the, both sides, both sides are completely wrong. I'm not anti-gun,
00:01:04.580 but I'm anti-military style weapons that, it blows my mind away that an 18-year-old kid
00:01:11.120 can walk in and buy an AK-15 automatic weapon. That makes no sense. Zero.
00:01:20.640 That makes no sense. Zero. Fact check. True. I agree with that conclusion there. You know,
00:01:27.020 they said that America was too far gone for bipartisanship. Well, there it is.
00:01:30.960 I, I support what this man is proposing. I'm Michael Knowles, a strong supporter of the Second
00:01:37.120 Amendment, a lifetime member of the NRA, officially endorsed this proposal to ban all AK-15 automatic
00:01:46.160 rifles. No more. I have never seen a gun control bill more sensible than this one. I've never heard
00:01:53.200 a gun control advocate be more articulate than this Colt's general manager. And there has never
00:01:59.080 been a more serious and beneficial piece of anti-gun legislation. Let the era of mutual understanding
00:02:05.480 commence. I'm Michael Knowles. It's the Michael Knowles Show. Welcome back to the show. My favorite
00:02:17.700 comment yesterday was not from any of you. You sent me some very nice comments too. But my absolute
00:02:23.220 favorite comment was from an obstetrician who said, Mr. Knowles, here is your baby boy. Very,
00:02:29.480 very nice of all of you to send in nice notes as well. Yes, my second child was born yesterday.
00:02:36.380 I was, it's been great. I've been awake for, with intermittent bits of closing my eyes for about
00:02:41.900 36 or 48 hours now. And I said, I am not missing my show today. No, sir. We have got a responsibility,
00:02:50.000 not just to the listeners, but to America. So immediately after my show, I will be going back
00:02:54.660 to the hospital and spending the rest of the day with my cute little newborn baby boy. But thank you
00:02:58.840 to all of you for the very fine comments. When you, when you see your child for the first time,
00:03:04.140 it makes you think not just about life, but about death. What is going to happen to these sweet little
00:03:09.620 babies when someday you are no longer with us? How will you prepare yourself? Well, the answer,
00:03:14.980 my friends, is Epic Will. Right now, go to epicwill.com. Use code Knowles. For all you adventurous
00:03:22.320 spirits out there, did you know, here's a fun fact, 100% of people who skydive will die.
00:03:28.860 100% of people who breathe also will die. Whatever you do, however you try to avoid it,
00:03:37.300 you will die. No one here gets out alive. And you've got to make sure that you take care of
00:03:41.340 your sweet little beautiful babies, your kids. You got to make sure you take care of the people
00:03:45.360 who love you. And you got to make those important decisions about what's going to happen to you and
00:03:50.060 all your stuff and to your family so that your loved ones aren't stuck in a lurch when you finally
00:03:54.980 kick the bucket. A will is not even primarily about you. It's about all those loved ones and
00:04:00.040 the hard decisions they are going to face when something happens to you. I won't even say if,
00:04:04.940 because it is inevitable, my friends. Sorry that this is a little bit of a downer,
00:04:08.760 but that's how it goes. That's why you got to go to Epic Will. Get your whole will sorted out.
00:04:12.840 You can do it. It's very, very quick. It's extremely inexpensive. If you go to Epic Will,
00:04:16.860 use promo code Knowles, K-N-O-W-L-E-S. You will save 10% on Epic Will's complete will package.
00:04:23.140 They'll set you up with a will in as little as five minutes. It's about $119 to secure your
00:04:29.460 family's future. Unbelievable deal. Without a will, you're going to hand your stuff and your
00:04:33.780 money over to people who don't like you very much. I'm talking about the government. I'm talking
00:04:37.160 about all sorts of bad folks. Don't do it. Go to EpicWill.com. Use code Knowles today.
00:04:42.820 Okay. Speaking of life and death, this gun control proposal from the Colts GM is,
00:04:49.440 it's so beautiful because it perfectly typifies all of the anti-gun proposals that you hear from
00:04:57.060 the left. That guy obviously doesn't know anything about politics. He doesn't know anything about
00:05:02.580 anything. Maybe he knows a little bit about sports, but even that I'm not so sure. And so he goes out
00:05:07.500 and he pontificates about guns. And all he does is repeat the same meaningless talking points that
00:05:16.020 he's heard on CNN or from some late night mainstream comedian, Stephen Colbert or something like that.
00:05:23.500 And he just recites them completely mindlessly, like a non-playing character in this video game
00:05:29.000 called America. And, and he, he never even stops to examine what they might mean. So he says, we,
00:05:35.920 you know, look, I, I'm not anti-gun. I'm anti-military kind of gun. What do we mean by a
00:05:43.040 military gun? You know, the kind of guns that are used for assaults, you know, unlike those really
00:05:47.880 nice, warm, fuzzy, comfy guns, you know, the really, the guns that are just meant to hug you
00:05:52.360 and gently caress your forehead and whisper sweet nothings and tell you everything's going to be okay.
00:05:57.160 Not like those assault guns. So he draws this distinction that doesn't exist.
00:06:02.660 All guns can be used for military purpose. All guns are intended not just to assault people,
00:06:07.480 but to kill people. That's the point of a gun is to kill people and kill them dead.
00:06:12.160 He then refers to the AK-15, which does not exist. The gun to which I suspect he is referring is the AR-15.
00:06:19.840 He says, this is an automatic weapon. The AR-15 is not an automatic weapon. You all know all of this.
00:06:25.200 I'm not telling you anything that you don't know. But Chris Ballard over at the Colts doesn't know
00:06:30.500 any of this. And it's not just him. It's not just the know-nothings who spout off their prepackaged
00:06:36.800 talking points that have entered their minds unawares and escaped their mouths without any
00:06:41.960 critical thought passing in the meantime. It's even the people who are writing this kind of legislation.
00:06:47.580 The people at the very tippy top elected Democrats very often demonstrate their own ignorance on
00:06:54.560 issues like guns. And they remind us how insane it is that this civil right, this constitutional right,
00:07:01.180 a basic right to protect yourself, is being threatened and regulated by people who know
00:07:06.740 absolutely nothing about what they are regulating. And they go even further, by the way. So you heard
00:07:12.820 there, Chris Ballard, he says, I'm not against guns. I'm just against the crazy radical. Why does
00:07:19.200 a kid get without any training, he gets to go in and get a gun? And this is, so he's saying, I'm for
00:07:25.280 responsible gun ownership, but I'm against irresponsible gun ownership. And then Nancy Pelosi
00:07:30.260 comes out and she comes out against responsible gun ownership as well.
00:07:34.380 When I talk about it on the floor this afternoon, I'm going to show, I'm going to show a presentation
00:07:41.900 of what some totally irresponsible people are putting out there about little children, toddlers,
00:07:50.980 learning how to use an assault weapon, smaller assault weapons, but a gun like mommy and daddy,
00:07:58.120 small assault weapons, but getting their muscles ready to be able to use it.
00:08:02.820 Is that sick?
00:08:05.320 Is that sick? So I don't know what guns she's referring to. Maybe that's what the AK-15 is.
00:08:09.840 Maybe Chris Ballard and Nancy Pelosi know something we don't know. I have never seen
00:08:13.740 an AR-15 in a toddler size. I've never seen that at the gun store. I'm not sure,
00:08:20.160 do they miniaturize the ammo too? They take the .223 and they just shrink it down. I'm not so sure.
00:08:26.540 Is she just referring to a little toy gun? Yeah, kids have little toy guns. I had little toy guns.
00:08:31.460 My children will have little toy guns. There'll be squirt guns. Maybe a Nerf gun. We all have them.
00:08:35.560 Is that what she's saying is so irresponsible? Or no, is she saying it's irresponsible that parents
00:08:40.380 are familiarizing their children with guns? Because if that's what she's saying, then it's
00:08:47.500 completely the opposite, isn't it? The irresponsible thing to do if you're a gun owner and you have guns
00:08:52.520 in your home is to not tell your kids anything about it. That's the most irresponsible thing you can
00:08:57.220 do. You just kind of leave them out or you even hide them, but you never familiarize your kids with
00:09:02.160 them. And so one day your kids are going to find them. They're not going to know what to do. And
00:09:05.560 God forbid something terrible could happen. That's irresponsible gun ownership. Responsible gun
00:09:10.240 ownership, especially if you have a family, is familiarizing your kids with these weapons,
00:09:14.580 showing them how to hold them, how not to hold them, not to use them. If mommy and daddy aren't around
00:09:21.480 and various never, don't load the gun, don't do this. This is what they do. That's the most
00:09:26.760 responsible gun ownership that there can be. You're saying this is a weapon. We're going to
00:09:32.160 exercise this right in our home, but we're going to be very, very careful. This is a powerful thing.
00:09:36.920 So don't get out of control here. What Pelosi is showing us is that she's not just against
00:09:43.360 irresponsible gun ownership. She and the Democrats are against responsible gun ownership as well.
00:09:49.200 In fact, they're especially against responsible gun ownership because all the gang bangers in
00:09:53.180 Chicago, those guys get off the hook. When we talk about the gangsters who are committing the actual
00:10:00.020 gun-related crimes in Chicago, in New York, in Los Angeles, those are the people that we are told
00:10:07.220 need to be let off the hook. Society has failed them. We've got an over-incarceration problem.
00:10:11.800 We've got to let them back on the street. All those George Soros-backed DAs,
00:10:15.600 all those extreme liberal DAs that are even now being recalled in liberal cities,
00:10:21.360 they're saying, oh, let those people with their guns back onto the street.
00:10:24.440 The people they're going after are you. They're going after responsible gun owners
00:10:28.820 who don't commit crimes, who follow the law. They're trying to take away your weapons.
00:10:33.240 They're trying to take away your AK-15s. They're trying to take away your rifles that are not used,
00:10:39.380 that are statistically used in virtually no homicides per year. That's what they're after.
00:10:46.220 Because in many ways, the Democrats support a kind of tactical lawlessness. This is sometimes called
00:10:52.820 anarcho-tyranny. And it's that the Democrats encourage a certain kind of chaos and social
00:10:58.680 disorder so that they can take more power and claim a greater crisis and use that crisis for
00:11:05.380 a political end. Never let a crisis go to waste. This is why the Libs will encourage BLM rioters to
00:11:11.540 burn down half the country. They do it, even if it's going to hurt some of their storefronts,
00:11:17.160 even if it's going to damage some of their cities, it permits them to take more power.
00:11:22.160 That's what we're seeing here. When you see these gun control bills, every single one in recent
00:11:26.800 decades, they go up. It's not to stop BLM from tyrannizing your city. It's not to stop Antifa.
00:11:32.760 It's not even to stop mass shootings. None of the gun control laws that have been proposed in recent
00:11:36.620 years would have stopped the mass shootings. There was a very famous fact check from the
00:11:41.180 Washington Post on this very point just six or seven years ago. But the point still holds up
00:11:46.020 today. The point of all of these gun laws is to take the guns away from you. I've had kids on the
00:11:53.140 mind recently. I don't know what it is. And when I think about the future of our country and the future
00:11:58.240 for our kids, think about PragerU kids. Right now, head on over to PragerUkids.com. If you,
00:12:04.640 like me, have kids on the mind, have you seen what your kids are watching on TV, what they're
00:12:09.160 learning in school? Marxism, socialism, critical race theory. They're starting kids as young as
00:12:14.320 kindergarten, as young as preschool on this stuff. Disney's recent directives to de-gender
00:12:19.640 children. Executives quote, not so secret gay agenda to push the non-binary pansexual ideologies
00:12:27.460 into kids' movies. America's system of educating our kids has been completely hijacked by the left.
00:12:33.760 And guess what? Parents and upstanding educators are fighting back with PragerU Kids. PragerU Kids

00:13:21.700 Speaking of bad liberal policies, inflation is at 40-year highs. Everything is more expensive.
00:13:29.060 That is harmful to everybody. But everybody except the federal government, actually. Inflation is very
00:13:34.020 good for the federal government because the United States government owns an insane amount of debt.
00:13:39.380 And when inflation is very high, then that debt is much less expensive to carry because the dollar
00:13:46.760 just isn't worth the same amount that it was a year ago or six months ago or even a few months ago.
00:13:52.520 So the only people who benefit actually from high inflation are governments and people who hold huge
00:13:58.860 amounts of debt. But for the rest of us, it's really, really painful at the gas pump, at the grocery
00:14:04.320 store. And so how are Democrats going to combat this kind of inflation? Are they going to produce
00:14:11.220 more domestic energy? That would be the easiest thing to do to combat inflation. Inflation is being
00:14:15.340 driven by high energy prices. Joe Biden shut down new pipelines in America, and he shut down new oil
00:14:22.220 and gas leases. So the easiest thing you could do would be to green light more American energy that
00:14:26.660 would instantly bring down inflation. Joe Biden refuses to do that. One of the excuses the Democrats
00:14:32.180 use is they say, well, it would take a year or a year and a half to get up and running. Yeah,
00:14:36.480 okay, Joe Biden's been in office for more than a year and a half. If he had done this a year and a
00:14:39.480 half ago, we wouldn't be in this mess right now. So are they going to do that? No, they're not going
00:14:43.620 to increase energy. Are they going to, I don't know. There's nothing really you can do now about
00:14:50.380 the war in Ukraine, which Joe Biden almost single-handedly caused, in the words of Ukraine
00:14:55.520 President Vladimir Zelensky, by green lighting Russia's oil pipeline and literally inviting Putin to
00:15:01.100 invade when he said, if the Russians invade part of Ukraine as a minor incursion, we won't do anything
00:15:05.860 about it. So that has driven energy prices through the roof. That's a really big problem.
00:15:10.480 What else? There are lots of things that the, what could the Democrats do? Stop just printing money
00:15:16.500 and giving it to everybody. That would be another way to stop inflation. No, they're not going to do
00:15:21.760 any of that. They're going to pass the Inflation Reduction Act of 2022. That sounds good.
00:15:27.660 I want to reduce inflation. So there was a study that was just taken. This was taken by Penn
00:15:34.060 Wharton. So this is probably the most prestigious business school in the country. According to Penn
00:15:39.920 Wharton, the Inflation Reduction Act of 2022 may actually very likely increase inflation over the next
00:15:49.300 two years. You leave it to the Democrats. It does exactly the opposite of what it says it will do.
00:15:55.220 According to this study, inflation could rise by 0.05% over the next two years. So this is marginal.
00:16:04.000 We're not saying this is definitely going to happen. It's statistically not very significant,
00:16:07.240 but it is kind of funny, kind of ironic that inflation would be going in the opposite direction.
00:16:14.560 You could then later on get a marginal drop by the late 2020s in inflation,
00:16:20.840 but it's just not, it's not, not going to achieve anything near what we're being told it will.
00:16:27.460 What does the Inflation Reduction Act do? Pretty much it just raises taxes and spends money
00:16:33.160 on environmentalism, on the green agenda. That's what it does. It is just, it is just like every
00:16:42.000 other Democrat spending bill. They just happened to title this one, the Inflation Reduction Act,
00:16:46.800 the Whatever You Care About Now Act of 2022, but it's just a regular Democrat bill. Hiking taxes on
00:16:53.780 the people they don't like very much and spending more money on the green agenda. This is the
00:16:59.400 Democrats' MO. This is what they do. The Democrats are responsible for inflation. Republicans share a
00:17:06.640 little bit of blame, but not very much. They share a little bit of blame because the Republicans,
00:17:11.040 some of the Republicans, went along with shutting the country down. And shutting the country down
00:17:16.400 did screw up supply chains and did screw up the order of the economy and demand, such that when
00:17:21.740 demand, when the economy reopened and demand spiked, that did contribute to inflation. So Republicans have
00:17:27.220 a little bit of the blame here, but it's mostly Democrats. Democrats were the ones pushing for
00:17:31.120 the lockdowns. It was Fauci. It was Biden. It was all, it was Rochelle Walensky. It was all of the
00:17:36.760 libs pushing for the lockdowns. It's the libs who shut down American energy. It's the libs who were
00:17:43.300 trying to spend gazillions of dollars. And at the time, when the libs were trying to spend all that
00:17:48.800 money, it was conservatives, conservatives like Ted Cruz, like Mike Lee, even Lindsey Graham,
00:17:53.420 who is not exactly the most rock-ribbed right-wing person in the country. They took to the floor of the
00:17:57.640 Senate. They said, this is going to drive inflation crazy. Do not do this, guys. The libs pushed for it
00:18:02.800 anyway. And that's, that's what we get. That's what we get. Now we get lots of inflation. The libs
00:18:08.240 create the problem. Then they demand more power to fix the problem. And then when they have more
00:18:15.260 power, they make the problem worse. And then what do they do? They demand more power to fix that
00:18:20.760 problem. Rinse and repeat. That is what they do. This is, this is the course of Democrat political
00:18:28.680 power on virtually any issue. And we're especially seeing it here when it comes to inflation.
00:18:36.120 Now, speaking of the green agenda, which is where so much of the, the libs focus goes to.
00:18:43.280 And part of that is because the green agenda is just a catch-all. You pay off the companies that
00:18:48.340 they like. It allows them to take a lot more power. It allows them to outsource a lot more
00:18:52.560 American sovereignty to international institutions like the United Nations, to other, other international
00:18:59.520 trade treaties. So speaking of the green agenda, Al Gore has just compared climate deniers, you know,
00:19:09.520 you know, those people who deny the climate, who just, they don't believe that we're walking around
00:19:13.720 in a kind of melee of oxygen and nitrogen. And you know, those people who just deny,
00:19:19.240 they say, there's no atmosphere. They just think they're floating around in a vacuum somewhere.
00:19:22.240 They deny the climate. He says the people who deny the climate, by which he means people who are
00:19:27.300 not terrified of the sun monster and catastrophic global warming, they're just like the cops in
00:19:33.460 Uvalde. This is time for all of us to step up. You know, the climate deniers are really in some ways
00:19:42.300 similar to all of those almost 400 law enforcement officers in Uvalde, Texas, who were waiting outside an
00:19:50.460 unlocked door while the children were being massacred. They heard the screams, they heard the gunshots,
00:19:57.640 and nobody stepped forward. And God bless those families who've suffered so much. And law enforcement
00:20:05.660 officials tell us that's not typical of what law enforcement usually does. And confronted with this
00:20:13.460 global emergency, what we're doing with our inaction and failing to walk through the door and stop the
00:20:19.900 killing is not typical of what we are capable of as human beings. We do have the solutions. And I think
00:20:28.200 these extreme events that are getting steadily worse and more severe are really beginning to change minds.
00:20:34.880 We have to have unity as a nation to come together and stop making this a political football. It
00:20:43.220 shouldn't be a partisan issue. You know, it's interesting. It's really interesting. You know,
00:20:47.820 it's really interesting. Is that interesting? Is it because the point that Al Gore just made
00:20:52.680 is that if you don't want to give $90 trillion to AOC, then you're pretty much like cops who let a psycho
00:21:02.440 mass murder little children. You know, when you really think about it, when you really think about
00:21:08.600 it, if you don't give the Democrats trillions and trillions of dollars to stop the sun monster from
00:21:14.920 killing all of you because of the predictions that they've been making now for 50 years, which have
00:21:19.940 not come true, by the way, and which frequently have been reversed decades later, like the first time
00:21:26.060 that they started screaming about global cooling. And then they said, oh, actually, no, it's the
00:21:29.900 opposite. It's global warming. And then the warming kind of cooled down for a little while. And then
00:21:33.560 they said, well, whatever. It's yeah, it's just changing. It's change. Give me $90 trillion or
00:21:37.580 we're all going to die. If you're in any way skeptical of that, the same sort of people who
00:21:41.540 told us we're going to have a population bomb in 1970, they said within 10 years, we're going to
00:21:45.980 have mass famines everywhere unless we coerce poor people in the developing world to sterilize
00:21:53.240 themselves and kill their children through abortion, which actually happened in India and China.
00:21:57.980 And even so, the world population doubled. And even so, you know what happened? We're
00:22:01.740 fatter than ever. Malnutrition is at an all time low. If you are in any way skeptical of
00:22:07.660 the apocalyptic claims that people like Al Gore make, you're pretty much a mass murderer of
00:22:14.200 little children, or at the very least, you're a coward who lets the mass murderers get away
00:22:19.480 with it. This shouldn't be political. This shouldn't. Now, listen, we can all agree. I've got to work on
00:22:25.560 my Al Gore. It shouldn't be political. What does that mean? You shouldn't. This shouldn't be political
00:22:33.360 when Democrats say it. It's just another way of saying you shouldn't have a say in this thing.
00:22:39.340 Shouldn't be political. You're telling me that changing the structure of our government,
00:22:44.700 taking away a ton of people's money, taking away a ton of people's rights and freedom and way of life,
00:22:48.740 that's not political? Of course that's political. That's the most political thing I've ever heard of.
00:22:53.920 You're talking about the way that society functions and the kind of rights people can enjoy
00:22:58.300 and the traditions that people have. And political, I mean, it just means public. That's all it means.
00:23:03.760 You're talking about public matters at the very least. You're saying this shouldn't be political.
00:23:07.800 It necessarily is political. It by definition is political. What you really mean is you peasants,
00:23:15.340 you hoi polloi with your incandescent light bulbs and your gas guzzling cars, you disgusting peasants
00:23:21.760 who don't even drive Teslas. You shouldn't have a say in it. That's what Al Gore means. That's what
00:23:29.220 the Democrats mean. And that's what they're fighting tooth and nail to effect, to bring about.
00:23:34.900 Their version of not political is, I guess, ultimately just that. You don't get a say
00:23:40.440 in politics. It's not political. It's the private decisions of the liberal elites who think that they
00:23:46.100 are much, much better than you. You know, speaking of ways to fight back against the elites and the
00:23:51.840 establishment, Jeremy's Razors is doing just that. This is the moment in the show where in the years
00:24:00.360 past, I would have read you an ad for Harry's Razors. I would have said, hey, hey, you. Hey,
00:24:05.260 you millions of listeners out there. I love Harry's. Go out and buy a Harry's Razor.
00:24:09.680 But I'm not going to do that because I don't love Harry's. I hate Harry's. If you don't know the
00:24:16.840 story, Harry's used to advertise on our shows until, okay, I'll take responsibility. It was me.
00:24:24.200 I said on another show years prior, even before Harry's joined as a sponsor, I agreed with the
00:24:32.300 assessment that boys are boys and girls are girls. And this was too much. This was too much for our
00:24:38.120 sponsor, Harry's, which then pulled their ads due to, quote, values misalignment. Well,
00:24:43.280 we're not going to promote products that hate your beliefs and hate you. So we did the only
00:24:47.440 thing that makes sense. We launched our own razor company, Jeremy's Razors. Every Jeremy's Razors kit
00:24:53.260 comes with a premium razor, two sets of blades, shaving cream, and aftershave balm. It's a beautiful
00:24:58.000 thing to behold. Over 70,000 kits have already shipped. So instead of telling you that I'm a big fan
00:25:03.020 of Harry's, I'm here to tell you about the thousands of ex-Harry's fans and customers who
00:25:08.720 have thrown their razors in the trash, like me. I did that too. I used to use Harry's. I threw it in
00:25:12.300 the trash, switched to Jeremy's. Do not go to harrys.com. Go to ihateharrys.com. Get your
00:25:19.280 Jeremy's Razors Founders Kit. It's time to stop giving your money to woke corporations that hate you.
00:25:24.640 Give it to Jeremy instead. We'll be right back with a lot more.
00:25:28.160 Speaking of the dangers of man altering his environment, man playing God in nature,
00:25:47.540 COVID. COVID's still going around. Remember COVID, that thing that totally, definitely did not,
00:25:52.040 it had no relation to any experiments in any laboratories, definitely not any laboratories in
00:25:59.620 Wuhan until, okay, maybe it did. And now even the WHO admits it probably did. So COVID's still
00:26:04.660 going around and people are still catching it. Even, this is really weird, even the people who
00:26:08.880 have gotten the vaccine are still getting it. This is even weirder. Even the people who have had the
00:26:13.240 booster shot and the extra booster shot and all the booster shots, they're still getting COVID.
00:26:18.660 COVID. President Joe Biden. President Joe Biden has tested positive for COVID. This is not an
00:26:24.560 outdated story. Because I know I told you, what, a week ago? Two weeks ago, I said, President Biden
00:26:30.460 has tested positive for COVID. He's quarantining. And then President Biden came back. Well,
00:26:35.820 first he made that video of him looking all crazy and kooky with his eyes were really, really wide.
00:26:40.800 And he had this really low voice. And it seemed like he was just being injected with all sorts of
00:26:44.720 uppers. And he didn't blink once in the video. And it was really, really unsettling. And who knows
00:26:50.480 what, who knows what the guy was on in that video. But then, okay, COVID passed. He recovered. He went
00:26:55.900 back to work. Now he's tested positive for COVID again. President Biden has said after, this is
00:27:03.100 President Biden's doctor. After testing negative on Tuesday evening, Wednesday morning, Thursday morning,
00:27:07.200 and Friday morning, the president tested positive late Saturday morning by antigen testing. This,
00:27:12.700 in fact, represents rebound positivity, whatever that is. I guess he's got COVID again. And he's
00:27:18.020 quarantining again. I don't mean to laugh. I hope, I hope President Biden makes a full recovery and
00:27:25.040 remains very, very healthy, or at least as healthy as he has been. And thank goodness he got the shots.
00:27:31.000 You know, could you imagine how bad it would be had he not gotten all the shots and all the vaccines,
00:27:35.080 which are super duper safe and effective, and they're really, really good at preventing you from
00:27:39.740 catching COVID and from transmitting COVID? Oh, sorry, they changed that. Even though they
00:27:43.840 initially told us, Biden, Walensky, and Fauci all told us, if you get the shot, you will not catch
00:27:48.980 COVID. You will not spread COVID. Then they just gaslit all of us and said they never really said
00:27:54.180 that. And then they said the purpose of a vaccine is not to stop you from getting it, but it's actually
00:27:57.800 to stop you from having really harsh symptoms. And then Biden had real symptoms anyway, and he had to
00:28:03.300 quarantine, and he obviously sounded and looked terrible. And then he recovered, and then he got it
00:28:07.720 again. Gosh, he might have gotten COVID three times in two weeks had he not had the shots, right?
00:28:14.060 He might have gotten it a fourth time in two weeks had he not had the shots. Thank goodness it was
00:28:17.760 only two. Thank you, Pfizer. Thank you, Moderna. That's really great. Speaking of plagues, speaking
00:28:22.840 of plagues, monkeypox has become, it's become the anti-COVID. It's become the way that the libs forced us all
00:28:33.580 to live under COVID, which was very, very easily spread and did not really pose major, major health
00:28:41.620 risks to the vast majority of people. But it was still very, very easy to spread. It was so easy
00:28:45.080 to spread that you pretty much couldn't stop it from spreading. There was no measure that the libs
00:28:48.700 employed from the masks to the lockdowns, to the distance by six feet, to the shots, to the boosters.
00:28:54.540 None of that has actually worked to stop COVID at all, not even in the slightest. And yet they made us
00:28:59.780 shut down our lives for two years. Then monkeypox, which can be a little bit more dangerous,
00:29:04.720 but is not very easily spread. There's pretty much only one way to spread it. And it's not very
00:29:09.040 pleasant, at least in the minds of the vast majority of people. Monkeypox, which is only,
00:29:13.960 I know this is politically incorrect to say, it's pretty much only spread at gay orgies. Not even at
00:29:20.660 any orgy, though every orgy is in a certain sense gay, but at specifically at male, homosexual,
00:29:27.660 sexual, bathhouse-style orgies. That's where it started the spread, and that's where it continues
00:29:32.500 to spread. Those we can't shut down. Now, we can't even acknowledge it. Ned Ryan, who's a
00:29:38.060 conservative activist, sort of prominent conservative figure, he just went on a Fox Business
00:29:45.060 show, the Kennedy show, where it was him, two other panelists, and the host, Kennedy, and they
00:29:51.300 were discussing monkeypox. And he suggested maybe people cool it with the gay orgies for just a
00:29:56.720 little bit. All three other people on screen jumped down his throat for it.
00:30:02.780 As for monkeypox, I think there's a pretty good rule in life. Don't attend gay orgies.
00:30:08.920 When you look at the New England Journal's report of the 520 orgies they reviewed.
00:30:13.520 Ned, come on, man.
00:30:14.560 It's not about gay. How about not any orgies?
00:30:17.000 Go look at the New England Journal's report that NBC News reported on on Friday, in which
00:30:23.680 of the 528 cases they reviewed, 95% were between sex between men. I think we actually have to
00:30:31.040 have a serious conversation about where this is coming from. When I'm done, Brad, you can
00:30:34.700 talk. Instead of going crazy and declaring a national pandemic when 3,000 people have it
00:30:39.840 right now, it's insane.
00:30:40.840 I don't know, man. You don't have to be gay to get monkeypox, and you don't have to be
00:30:46.660 bigoted when you talk about treating something that is that easily spread, Marie.
00:30:52.160 It's not bigot.
00:30:52.800 Yeah, it is.
00:30:53.180 This is science, Kennedy. 95% of the cases from the New England Journal have been reported.
00:30:57.660 You know what? I'm going to let Brad respond, okay?
00:30:59.500 That kind of, I will use the term, bigoted language, that makes it seem like the only people
00:31:04.700 that get this are from one group of Americans. Hey, guess what? Gay men also have friends
00:31:08.980 and family members and colleagues, and this is not just transmitted through sexual activity.
00:31:14.360 So everything that Ned Ryan said is right. Virtually everyone who is catching monkeypox
00:31:19.820 is catching monkeypox because they had sex with a promiscuous gay man. 95% to 98% of the
00:31:26.120 spread is among dudes who have sex with other dudes. The men who have sex with men community,
00:31:32.620 as some people are calling it. And then some people around them are catching monkeypox as
00:31:37.540 well, which raises a whole lot of questions. There were two kids who caught monkeypox in
00:31:41.740 households with homosexual men. Haven't heard anything about that. Sure hope that's being
00:31:46.360 investigated, but I doubt that it is. What Ned Ryan said is right. And by the way, if you want
00:31:53.200 to prevent people from catching monkeypox, if you care about the homosexuals who are at risk of getting
00:31:58.640 monkeypox, which is specifically homosexuals who are getting frisky with lots and lots of other
00:32:05.000 homosexuals in promiscuous sex and orgies, you would want this information to be out there.
00:32:10.620 You'd want people to know the risks, right? So he just reads a news report from a left-wing source
00:32:15.660 about from a medical journal. And the three people on screen say that's bigoted. Those are hate facts.
00:32:23.200 Those are, first you heard from Brad Palumbo, who is an LGBT activist. And he's, I guess he's a
00:32:29.340 he would call himself a libertarian and, but he's very, very pro-LGBT. And he says, oh, Ned,
00:32:35.040 you can't say that. It's any orgies. It's not, don't say gay orgies, but no, it is specifically,
00:32:39.340 it is gay orgies that spreads monkeypox. That's just a fact. Okay. It's just numbers. 95 to 98%,
00:32:44.420 guys. Okay. That's, no, you can't say that. And then Palumbo was far from the worst person on that
00:32:52.560 panel. Then it was the host, Kennedy, and the other guest, whose name I believe is Marie Harf,
00:32:57.800 who called it bigoted. Don't go to gay orgies is now considered a bigoted statement
00:33:04.760 on, on the right-wing news channel, on one of what, two or three right-wing news channels.
00:33:11.120 Fox Business is probably the second most prominent right-wing news channel, allegedly right-wing
00:33:15.240 news channel. And you can't say don't go to gay orgies there. Are you knuckle-dragging right,
00:33:20.700 far-right fascist bigoted troglodyte? How dare you? Gay orgies is what America was built on.
00:33:27.280 That's how dare you discriminate against the gay orgy community.
00:33:33.780 These are the sorts of things that can't be uttered now. It shows you the way that the Overton
00:33:39.400 window has shifted. When libs tell you, oh no, the conservatives are on the rise, the conservatives
00:33:45.640 have made so many cultural gains in recent years. Just look at that Overton window. Look at the range
00:33:50.580 of acceptable discourse. You can no longer go on a, an ostensibly right-wing news network and say,
00:33:58.660 hey, don't go to gay orgies maybe if you don't want to catch the gay orgy pox virus.
00:34:04.160 And you, you can't say that without being smeared as a bigot, as some kind of hateful, awful person,
00:34:12.120 because you recite statistics that were just published in a medical journal.
00:34:17.460 That is the cultural shift. Yes, I think conservatives have great opportunities right
00:34:21.800 now. We just overruled Roe v. Wade, for goodness sakes. This is great. I think the wind is at our
00:34:25.180 sails. But the ground that we have to make up is so insane. The one that the liberals are losing their
00:34:31.620 minds over right now is that conservatives might threaten this new definition of marriage,
00:34:35.580 marriage, the Obergefell decision, which redefined marriage to include same-sex unions. The idea that
00:34:42.680 that would be the great conservative cultural victory is insane, guys. That, that decision was
00:34:47.900 made in 2015. That decision is seven years old. For all of human history up until 2015, everyone
00:34:55.100 everywhere believed that marriage had sexual difference at its heart. That marriage was between
00:35:00.580 a man and a woman. The idea that we would return to that, and this would be the huge far-right,
00:35:08.560 fascistic, authoritarian return to 2014. Are you kidding me? Think about how much ground
00:35:15.620 we have lost. You realize how much ground we've lost, not even when you watch the far-right news
00:35:22.060 channels. It's when you watch the news channels that are supposed to be conservative. You realize just
00:35:26.640 how far-left the culture has become. This, this sort of monkeypox media reaction is a true lesson
00:35:37.860 in, in political hierarchies. Who ranks above whom? Whose rights get protected above others? During COVID,
00:35:46.540 if you wanted to visit your dying parents, let's say they were in a hospital, or they were in a nursing
00:35:52.120 home, or they were just, just kind of aged. You were not allowed to do that. When, when your loved
00:35:56.880 ones did die, you were not allowed to bury them. You were not allowed to have a funeral for them
00:36:00.820 for months or years. George Floyd was allowed to have four funerals, but you, you were not allowed
00:36:07.720 to have funerals for your family members. You were not allowed to go to church. You were not allowed to
00:36:12.380 go to work. You were not allowed to open your business in, in a lot of places. You were not allowed
00:36:17.180 to do much of anything. The pot dispensaries in California, those stayed open. That was kind of
00:36:23.720 weird. Churches were closed, but the pot dispensaries were, were open. Okay. That kind of
00:36:28.100 showed, that gave you a little inkling, huh? Maybe this isn't just about what's safe and what's healthy.
00:36:33.020 Maybe this is about the political preferences of the ruling elite. Maybe this was about giving special
00:36:39.040 privileges to certain groups and discriminating against other groups. And then monkeypox shows it for
00:36:44.980 certain. We shut down the entire world for, for over two years. Certainly you shut down the country
00:36:50.620 for a cough that was unpreventable, but you won't even shut down the gay bathhouses to stop the gay
00:36:58.660 bathhouse virus. You won't stop it. You won't do it. You, you're, you're not even allowed to mention it
00:37:05.000 even on a, a conservative, ostensibly conservative news channel. Look what they're doing in San Francisco.
00:37:11.980 San Francisco, which has problems. San Francisco, not the most orderly city in the world. San Francisco
00:37:19.380 is hoping to host its annual sex festival. It's a sex festival specifically for gay men. It's called
00:37:27.800 the Up Your Alley Leather Fetish Festival. I actually hadn't even read the name. I read that there was this
00:37:36.220 festival. I hadn't read the name. That is totally gross. It makes the story even grosser than initially I thought
00:37:42.500 it was. So they have this leather gay festival in San Francisco, not exactly a man bites dog story, but, but the
00:37:52.380 festival is taking place while there is a virus that is spreading at gay orgies. So you would think they would
00:37:58.100 shut it down, right? No, San Francisco refuses to shut down this event. The festival has been running
00:38:07.480 since 1985 and they are not going to shut it down even while a virus is spreading at the gay orgies.
00:38:14.660 It's not about what's safe. It's not about what's healthy. It's about what do we want to do?
00:38:18.640 We, we as a society, well, San Francisco as a society does not value church, does not value
00:38:26.000 small businesses, does not value your family having funerals for dead loved ones, does not value
00:38:31.360 Thanksgiving celebrations, does not value high school graduations, does not value prom, does not
00:38:37.800 value any of the things that got shut down for COVID. But San Francisco sure as hell values gay
00:38:44.580 leather orgies. And so they're going to shut down all the first ones. They're not going to shut down
00:38:49.960 that last one. And this, it gets right back to Al Gore's point. This should not be political.
00:38:55.820 This should not. Why are we making this issue of all your rights and your money and your traditions
00:39:00.260 and your country? Why are we making this political? What this is about is what do we want to do?
00:39:07.240 What do we want to live with? During COVID, I not only would have lived with the risk of COVID,
00:39:14.140 I not only would have gone back to work and traveled and seen my friends and gone to holidays and not
00:39:19.060 wearing the stupid mask and avoided all the ridiculous measures that the libs pushed on us,
00:39:23.920 but I actually did. I did. I went back to work. They forced us all to work from home. I lasted
00:39:29.720 24 to 36 hours. And then I just went back to the studio and it was pretty much just me and Jeremy at
00:39:35.360 the studio for six months at a time. Because I said, I'm not doing this. I'm not going to work from home.
00:39:39.700 I'm not going to quarantine. I'm going to go to all my holidays. I'm going to go to Easter.
00:39:43.460 Easter Sunday dinner and I'm going to travel and I'm just going to live my life. I made that choice.
00:39:49.800 The political society said, no, we're not going to do that. But I don't value gay orgies in that way.
00:39:57.740 I don't value bathhouses and leather festivals and all that. I don't value that. And I don't think
00:40:03.240 there's any reason to tolerate that stuff, period. But certainly not when there's the spread of a virus
00:40:07.440 specifically at these places. You have the political right to say that. No matter what
00:40:14.180 they tell you on whatever news show, even if it's on a technically or ostensibly right-wing news show,
00:40:19.140 you have the right to say that. You have the right to moral views. You have the right to political
00:40:23.620 views. You have the right to social preferences. You have the right to an opinion on matters of public
00:40:28.600 health and the economy and the national order. You have a right to those things. And you can say,
00:40:34.860 no, Al Gore, I'm not going to let you make me use those ugly fluorescent light bulbs. No, San Francisco,
00:40:40.660 I'm not going to let you shut down my church. And no, I'm not going to even let you keep the bathhouses
00:40:44.760 and the leather parties open, okay? We have not just individual rights, but there is a higher
00:40:50.460 sort of political right. Those are political rights. An individual right is not really political
00:40:56.940 in the sense that political is public. It involves other people. And the Founding Fathers talked about
00:41:01.300 this and Edmund Burke has talked about this and all the great conservatives have talked about
00:41:04.200 how those, that higher expression of our liberty and our freedom is political. When we as a community
00:41:09.420 say, this is how we want to live. This is how we want to flourish. Speaking of the rainbow,
00:41:16.800 a female soccer player has just been sidelined for refusing to wear the rainbow. Her name is
00:41:24.040 Jaylene Daniels. I'm not the most up-to-date on female soccer news. She's the North Carolina Courage
00:41:33.400 defender. And she was sidelined for the team's Friday soccer game because she refused to wear
00:41:38.960 an LGBT rainbow on her jersey. She didn't agree with the rainbow. She's not down with the rainbow.
00:41:46.220 And so she didn't want to wear the rainbow flag. If you are a, say, Christian, or I would suspect a
00:41:53.960 Jew or a Muslim, or if you have any kind of traditional view of sexual ethics, you can't
00:42:00.400 wear the rainbow. So she says, okay, I'm not going to wear the rainbow. They said, that's fine. You
00:42:04.120 don't get to play. You're going to be discriminated against for your views on these matters.
00:42:08.520 The team said, Jaylene will not be rostered tonight as she's made the decision not to wear
00:42:12.500 our pride jersey. While we're disappointed with her choice, we respect her right to make the decision
00:42:18.000 for herself. We're excited to celebrate the LGBTQIA plus community with our fans, players,
00:42:24.320 and staff tonight, and look forward to hosting our first ever pride festival before knockoff.
00:42:31.000 Or before kickoff, rather, not knockoff. Would you, do you think it would be right to force a Jew or a
00:42:40.240 Muslim to wear a Christmas sweater to work? Let's say it's Christmas time and there's going to be a
00:42:47.960 Christmas party at work, whether we're talking about they work at a soccer team or they work at
00:42:51.820 an accounting firm. Do you think it would be right to tell the Jew or the Muslim, hey, you've got to
00:42:57.420 wear the Christmas sweater. In fact, not just, you've got to wear, you've got to wear a nativity scene
00:43:02.380 sweater. Does that sit right to you? For most people in our liberal culture, they would say, no,
00:43:09.740 that doesn't sit right. I don't know. I don't think you should do that. I would be wrong.
00:43:14.960 It is much more egregious to force someone to wear the rainbow. Because while the Christmas season
00:43:24.000 is deeply, deeply embedded in our culture, and still, you wouldn't say like, hey, hey, Ben,
00:43:29.800 hey, Shapiro, put the Christmas sweater on. No one would say that. But the pride flag,
00:43:34.960 the pride movement is a relatively new movement, extremely radical in our culture. It's opposed by
00:43:41.500 huge swaths of our culture. Now you're saying, well, if you won't wear my version, my sexual
00:43:48.520 preferences, my contradiction of traditional sexual ethics on your sleeve, literally on your sleeve,
00:43:54.640 then you don't get to come to work. Then you, practically speaking, don't have a job,
00:43:59.800 at least while I'm forcing everyone to wear this. It's obviously wrong. You can tell that it's wrong
00:44:05.580 when you put it in those terms, but the culture doesn't see that it's wrong. It goes right back
00:44:09.440 to that Seinfeld episode where everyone tries to make Kramer wear the little ribbon. Remember,
00:44:13.860 during AIDS, everyone wore a ribbon. You said, you have to wear a ribbon, especially in New York.
00:44:17.900 Why aren't you wearing the ribbon? I said, I don't want to wear the ribbon. I hope people recover
00:44:21.540 from this disease, but I don't want to wear the ribbon. Well, you have to wear it. You all have to do it.
00:44:26.580 You have to show that you are on my team when it comes to this political matter. And if you don't,
00:44:32.920 they'll crush you. They'll absolutely crush you. Speaking of religion, Nichelle Nichols died. She
00:44:38.820 was an actress. She was in Star Trek. She was a left-wing activist and a widely beloved cultural
00:44:44.280 figure. She died. She was quite aged, so it's not like she flipped her Corvette. And it's sad,
00:44:50.780 and tributes were pouring in for her. One of the main tributes to her, and this became a trending
00:44:57.740 phrase on social media yesterday, was rest in power. So I have basically nothing to say about
00:45:03.720 Nichelle Nichols. I didn't follow her career or her acting or her activism. I'm not a Trekkie,
00:45:08.280 so I don't wish her any ill. She seems like a lovely lady. Rest in peace. But rest in peace.
00:45:13.700 I wouldn't say rest in power. This phrase keeps coming up whenever, usually whenever black people
00:45:22.060 die, prominent black people die, and then to some degree left-wing activists more broadly.
00:45:27.940 You see this new phrase that's cropped up in recent years, rest in power, which is a silly and bizarre
00:45:33.540 phrase. It's clearly a reaction against the traditional phrase, rest in peace, from the Latin,
00:45:39.520 and requiescat in pace. And it's a kind of flipping of that. So don't rest in peace,
00:45:46.120 rest in power. And a lot of the imagery from it comes from the black power movement.
00:45:50.800 Fist in the air, which has become an even more important leftist symbol in recent years. We're
00:45:54.540 going to have power, not just peace. A politics that does not seek a kind of reasoned and logical
00:46:01.580 and ultimately peaceful coexistence, but a politics that is just about the raw pursuit of power and
00:46:08.440 interest in clobbering the other guy. All of this is there, simmering underneath this phrase,
00:46:15.800 rest in power. But rest in power is a really stupid term. Because the only way that you will
00:46:22.400 rest in power after you die is if you go to heaven and get to behold the beatific vision and get to
00:46:28.620 be with our Lord and Savior forever. I could understand that. You say, that is a position of
00:46:32.900 power. It is. But it's only in the sense that you are beholding the omnipotent power. You are,
00:46:41.020 wow, you're in the vision of the true vision of the good, the true, and the beautiful. Wow,
00:46:44.580 that's amazing. If rest in power is a rejection of that view, which I think it is. I think it's a
00:46:50.320 rejection of Christianity. I think it's a rejection of traditional culture. I think it is a militant,
00:46:57.040 materialist kind of, we're just going to go out and get what we want. And that's our,
00:47:01.100 that's this, the only things that matter right in the here and now, and we're going to take power,
00:47:05.080 power, power. Then rest in power doesn't make any sense. Because according to that view,
00:47:09.540 when you die, you're not in power, you become worm food. You go take a dirt nap, and then bugs eat
00:47:16.240 you, and then you turn to bones, and then your bones turn to dust, and that's it. That's the end
00:47:20.020 of the story. That's the least powerful position you could possibly be in. Rest in power doesn't make
00:47:26.280 any sense outside of Christianity, outside of a traditional culture against which that phrase
00:47:32.780 is rebelling. And there's, you're seeing a lot of this around the culture. There's a story that I
00:47:39.520 really want to get to, but I don't have time today, so I'll just tease it for you. An actress from The
00:47:43.500 Handmaid's Tale is really, really upset at discrimination that she has faced as a woman.
00:47:50.960 But spoiler alert, the discrimination is not coming from the right. It's not coming from
00:47:55.580 Christianity. It's not coming from tradition. It's not coming from the patriarchy. The true
00:48:00.520 discrimination that she's facing is coming from the left, as it almost always is. We'll get into
00:48:05.280 that tomorrow. I'm Michael Knowles. This is The Michael Knowles Show. I'm going to go see my baby.
00:48:08.860 The Michael Knowles Show is produced by Ben Davies. Executive producer,
00:48:38.840 Jeremy Boring. Supervising producer, Mathis Glover. Production manager, Pavel Vidovsky. Editor and
00:48:45.440 associate producer, Danny D'Amico. Associate producer, Justine Turley. Audio mixer, Mike
00:48:50.980 Coromina. And hair and makeup by Cherokee Heart. Michael Knowles Show is a Daily Wire production,
00:48:56.420 copyright Daily Wire 2022. Today on The Matt Walsh Show, the outrage mob is coming after me because I
00:49:01.840 mentioned the forbidden historical fact that white people were slaves too. But why is this fact
00:49:07.140 forbidden? And why does it matter? We'll discuss. Also, the Biden administration gears up to forgive
00:49:11.100 student loans. And by forgive, we mean transfer the loans to people who didn't take them out.
00:49:15.480 Plus, a Democrat congresswoman flips off her Republican colleagues and then cries sexism to
00:49:19.280 excuse herself. And our Daily Cancellation, an artist goes viral with dozens of comics
00:49:23.600 bitterly complaining about her husband. We'll talk about all that and much more today on The Matt
00:49:27.920 Walsh Show.
