00:00:00.000 In just 20 months on the job, Joe Biden has set a number of statistical records.
00:00:04.780 He's brought us the highest gas prices ever recorded, the highest inflation in 40 years,
00:00:10.760 the lowest quarterly approval rating for any modern president.
00:00:14.260 And now, just yesterday, Joe Biden hit a new numerical record,
00:00:19.720 2 million apprehensions of illegal immigrants across our southern border in just one year.
00:00:26.940 Remember, those are just the apprehensions.
00:00:29.180 There are many hundreds of thousands of additional immigrants that were not apprehended,
00:00:35.080 as well as another million immigrants let into the country legally,
00:00:39.560 meaning that this year, Joe Biden has brought into the country
00:00:43.080 three new immigrants for every four Americans who turned 18.
00:00:50.020 If you've had the sneaking suspicion lately that the nation is rapidly changing,
00:00:54.880 that is probably because the nation, at its most basic level,
00:00:58.940 that is the people who constitute it, are rapidly changing through an intentional policy of mass
00:01:06.060 migration, the largest movement of human beings in recorded history.
00:01:11.940 Now, what's strange about this scenario is that, according to a Harvard-Harris survey just about
00:01:17.320 four years ago, the majority of Americans want to drastically reduce all immigration,
00:01:24.260 both legal and illegal.
00:01:27.420 The last Republican president was elected in large part on the promise that he would build a gigantic wall
00:01:34.240 and drastically reduce immigration.
00:01:36.580 And he actually tried to do that for years, for years to fulfill that campaign promise,
00:01:41.620 but it just didn't happen.
00:01:43.700 He was stopped by the courts, by the bureaucracy, by crooked corporations that have a lot of political influence
00:01:51.220 and that rely on cheap labor, all of which undermined the clearly articulated will and rights of the American people.
00:01:59.300 And then, this is where it gets really crazy.
00:02:02.540 When a Republican governor in Florida decided to charter a plane
00:02:06.260 and fly just a few dozen of those millions and millions of illegal aliens up to a wealthy liberal beach town,
00:02:14.980 he found himself the subject of both a criminal investigation and a lawsuit by the illegal aliens,
00:02:21.920 who, in an even remotely sensible nation, would have been deported the very moment that they hopped the border.
00:02:29.240 But we don't live in a sane, sensible nation anymore.
00:02:33.280 It's hard to say that we even live in a nation anymore.
00:02:37.280 Certainly not a nation defined by self-government.
00:02:40.660 More and more, it seems as though we live in a borderless liberal empire
00:02:45.360 where our leaders improvise the rules as they go along and always to the same purpose.
00:02:50.280 No matter how the game is played, no matter what the numbers show,
00:02:54.500 no matter what the other players want, the liberals always have to win.
00:02:59.040 I'm Michael Knowles. This is The Michael Knowles Show.
00:03:08.100 Welcome back to the show.
00:03:09.260 My favorite comment yesterday is from RBA, who says,
00:03:12.700 OK, everybody hit the showers now has a different meaning for one team.
00:03:16.580 This, I suppose, in that reaction to the UMass football team
00:03:21.120 presenting itself as super duper rainbow flags everywhere LGBT
00:03:26.220 while playing the Christian conservative school at Liberty University.
00:03:31.140 That's true.
00:03:31.720 It sure gives a different meaning to some of that locker room talk.

00:04:54.680 The illegal aliens that got the free private jet vacation
00:05:00.900 to Martha's Vineyard, one of the nicest vacation resorts
00:05:04.780 on planet Earth, a place that most of us
00:05:07.820 will never have the opportunity to go.
00:05:10.180 Now they, the people who are in this country illegally
00:05:13.580 are suing the governor of Florida for sending them there
00:05:19.120 after they, after they signed a waiver
00:05:21.440 saying that they were happy to go there.
00:05:25.140 This is thanks to a group called Lawyers for Civil Rights.
00:05:29.680 It's a leftist group.
00:05:31.780 And they claimed that Florida officials, quote,
00:05:34.920 designed and executed a premeditated, fraudulent,
00:05:38.040 and illegal scheme centered on exploiting this vulnerability
00:05:41.820 for the sole purpose of advancing their own personal,
00:05:45.100 financial, and political interests.
00:05:47.060 I'm gonna take a pause right there.
00:05:49.460 Personal interests and political interests
00:05:51.400 are sort of opposite categories, right?
00:05:56.780 Personal means it's just private.
00:05:58.380 Political means it's public.
00:05:59.900 Now, I guess I have a personal interest
00:06:01.800 in my politics being good, insane, and normal.
00:06:04.240 So in that sense, they have it.
00:06:05.380 But what did the Florida election,
00:06:08.200 the Florida governing officials, rather,
00:06:10.240 the governor of Florida and the legislature
00:06:12.080 and the whole staff, what do they get out of this?
00:06:15.840 Well, they're forcing the liberals
00:06:17.740 to deal with the consequences
00:06:19.540 of their own immigration policies.
00:06:21.620 That's it.
00:06:22.240 That's all they're getting out of it
00:06:23.300 in the hopes that the liberals
00:06:25.120 will then see what's going on,
00:06:27.520 feel the political pressure,
00:06:29.020 and then stop importing millions and millions
00:06:31.180 of illegals every single year into border states.
00:06:34.020 Then the lawyers claimed
00:06:35.300 that the illegal immigrants were enticed
00:06:37.440 to get on the private jet to Martha's Vineyard
00:06:39.220 with perks such as $10 McDonald's gift certificates.
00:06:42.960 You know, for me,
00:06:43.440 if you offered me a free trip
00:06:44.500 to Martha's Vineyard on a private jet,
00:06:45.980 I wouldn't even need
00:06:46.740 the $10 McDonald's gift certificate.
00:06:50.740 They're bringing this lawsuit
00:06:52.100 because Ron DeSantis did to a very small degree
00:06:54.540 what Joe Biden and the federal government
00:06:56.860 has been doing at a very large scale.
00:06:59.160 That is taking illegals
00:07:01.080 who make it into America
00:07:02.060 and then just flying them
00:07:03.220 all around the country.
00:07:04.380 The liberals are already doing this exact thing.
00:07:06.040 They're just doing it to places
00:07:06.860 that are not nearly as nice
00:07:08.220 as Martha's Vineyard.
00:07:09.500 So we can say,
00:07:11.080 well, it's hypocrisy.
00:07:12.600 Well, imagine if the shoe were on the other foot.
00:07:14.740 Gosh, what if the roles were reversed?
00:07:16.240 Right.
00:07:16.720 They know it's hypocrisy.
00:07:18.000 They don't care.
00:07:18.960 This is not about rules.
00:07:20.040 This is not about the law.
00:07:21.320 Of course,
00:07:21.760 the most obvious takeaway from this
00:07:24.480 is why are these immigrants
00:07:26.380 able to sue the governor at all?
00:07:28.420 They shouldn't be here.
00:07:29.440 The minute that they raise their hands
00:07:31.380 and say,
00:07:31.760 hey, I'm here illegally,
00:07:33.080 ICE should descend
00:07:34.160 and ship them out of this country
00:07:36.160 because they are flagrantly,
00:07:38.140 flamboyantly breaking
00:07:39.100 the nation's most basic laws.
00:07:42.300 But that doesn't happen
00:07:43.580 because the rules
00:07:46.040 that we ostensibly live under
00:07:47.420 are not the real rules
00:07:48.580 that govern our society.
00:07:50.520 Just like the Constitution,
00:07:52.500 capital C,
00:07:53.280 that nice piece of parchment
00:07:54.240 that we ostensibly live under
00:07:56.100 is not the real lowercase c constitution
00:07:58.540 that governs our society.
00:08:00.520 What really governs our society
00:08:02.000 are the real power structures that exist.
00:08:04.880 And in the real power structures that exist,
00:08:06.820 the Democrats get to import
00:08:07.980 millions of illegals every year
00:08:09.320 and fly them all around the country
00:08:10.580 and send them all to the red states
00:08:12.200 to try to gain
00:08:12.980 a permanent electoral advantage.
00:08:14.640 And the minute the Republicans
00:08:15.760 push back at all,
00:08:17.480 in the least,
00:08:18.300 do even one one-thousandth
00:08:19.700 of exactly what the Democrats are doing,
00:08:21.860 that's a national case.
00:08:23.720 You're going to find yourself
00:08:24.420 under criminal investigation.
00:08:25.900 You're going to find yourself
00:08:26.940 the subject of many lawsuits.
00:08:30.360 So what's DeSantis doing now?
00:08:32.000 That he's getting
00:08:32.580 this massive amount of threats
00:08:35.200 coming at him from the left?
00:08:37.400 Well, he's doubling down.
00:08:38.480 There was,
00:08:39.380 where is it?
00:08:40.820 There was a terrific article yesterday.
00:08:43.500 It came out.
00:08:45.580 Governor DeSantis
00:08:46.620 might send illegal aliens
00:08:49.360 to Rehoboth Beach, Delaware.
00:08:50.760 Now, this was something that
00:08:51.660 Ted Cruz suggested a year ago.
00:08:54.100 He said,
00:08:54.480 you've got to send
00:08:55.140 these illegal immigrants
00:08:56.060 not just to D.C. and New York.
00:08:57.460 You've got to send them
00:08:57.960 to Martha's Vineyard in Nantucket.
00:08:59.160 Not just Martha's Vineyard in Nantucket.
00:09:00.720 You've got to send it
00:09:01.200 to Rehoboth Beach, Delaware.
00:09:02.280 You've got to send it
00:09:02.700 to where Joe Biden stays.
00:09:06.120 And that was the headline yesterday.
00:09:09.600 And then,
00:09:10.520 this is the key here,
00:09:12.420 it didn't happen.
00:09:14.780 Governor DeSantis
00:09:15.360 threatened to send migrants
00:09:16.340 to Biden's Delaware home.
00:09:17.980 It was a no-show.
00:09:20.880 State officials mobilized.
00:09:22.980 Community groups stood by to help.
00:09:25.300 Reporters and camera crews
00:09:26.520 staked out airports.
00:09:27.500 But the plane and the migrants
00:09:29.360 never showed.
00:09:31.780 This confusing drama
00:09:33.080 was the latest chapter
00:09:34.040 in an ongoing spat
00:09:34.840 between Biden
00:09:35.540 and Governor DeSantis
00:09:37.060 amid his threat
00:09:39.000 to send migrants
00:09:39.640 to sanctuary jurisdictions
00:09:40.860 around the country.
00:09:42.020 This was really smart.
00:09:44.980 And it's,
00:09:45.380 I tell you,
00:09:45.840 this whole episode
00:09:46.560 is giving me more and more respect
00:09:47.900 for DeSantis every day.
00:09:50.280 Because DeSantis knows
00:09:51.600 you can't be predictable here.
00:09:53.060 The first move was great.
00:09:57.580 Sends them to Martha's Vineyard.
00:09:59.260 Proves that the Libs
00:10:00.080 aren't really hoping
00:10:01.560 to host sanctuary cities.
00:10:03.360 Don't really like the immigrants.
00:10:05.060 Actually compare the immigrants
00:10:06.240 to trash.
00:10:07.200 End up deporting the immigrants
00:10:08.140 and sending them
00:10:08.640 to a military camp
00:10:09.440 within 44 hours
00:10:10.660 of their arrival.
00:10:12.180 Right,
00:10:12.360 that was hilarious.
00:10:14.220 And then,
00:10:14.700 if he had just sent them again,
00:10:17.780 the Democrats
00:10:19.160 would have been better prepared.
00:10:20.420 So what he does
00:10:20.860 is he threatens
00:10:21.400 to send them again.
00:10:22.160 He doesn't actually send them.
00:10:23.920 The state officials mobilize.
00:10:25.380 They're ready.
00:10:26.200 We're gonna activate
00:10:27.220 all of the authorities.
00:10:28.640 This is an emergency.
00:10:29.740 And then,
00:10:30.260 it doesn't happen.
00:10:31.000 And they look very,
00:10:31.720 very foolish
00:10:32.260 because DeSantis
00:10:33.120 can now look at them
00:10:33.860 and say,
00:10:34.220 hey,
00:10:35.380 why were you all so worried?
00:10:36.680 Why were you all mobilizing?
00:10:38.100 Why were you
00:10:38.580 on the verge of calling
00:10:40.060 in the National Guard?
00:10:41.680 Because I was gonna send
00:10:42.520 a plane of those people in
00:10:43.820 that you say
00:10:44.540 it's so wonderful
00:10:45.200 to invite into our country
00:10:46.360 that you say
00:10:47.380 you wanna give sanctuary to
00:10:48.560 but you don't actually do that.
00:10:49.720 Then what's he do?
00:10:50.360 In between those two stunts,
00:10:51.740 he hits them
00:10:52.400 with a great immigration ad
00:10:54.060 where you've got
00:10:55.040 a woman
00:10:55.820 telling this true
00:10:57.060 tragic story
00:10:58.060 of her son
00:10:59.060 getting killed
00:10:59.780 by an illegal immigrant.
00:11:01.760 Had the Democrats
00:11:02.440 not invited
00:11:03.060 the illegal immigrants
00:11:03.840 into the country,
00:11:04.460 her son would still be alive.
00:11:05.660 So this was obviously
00:11:06.280 planned out.
00:11:06.900 It's not just little
00:11:07.560 trolls and tactics.
00:11:08.920 It's part of a longer-term strategy.
00:11:11.600 And it's a strategy
00:11:12.400 that the Dems
00:11:13.020 can't predict.
00:11:14.060 This is the key.
00:11:14.780 This was one of,
00:11:17.140 if not the greatest strength
00:11:18.920 of Donald Trump
00:11:19.840 was his unpredictability.
00:11:22.460 It's why his foreign policy
00:11:23.520 was the greatest foreign policy
00:11:24.600 in my lifetime.
00:11:25.720 It's because
00:11:26.720 all those bad guys
00:11:28.560 around the world
00:11:29.100 actually thought twice.
00:11:31.560 Kim Jong-un,
00:11:32.580 when he sees this tweet
00:11:33.480 from this crazy guy
00:11:34.280 Donald Trump
00:11:34.720 that says,
00:11:35.100 I've got a big nuclear button
00:11:36.500 and my button actually works.
00:11:37.880 Don't tempt me, bro.
00:11:39.220 He's probably thinking,
00:11:40.900 look,
00:11:41.020 95% chance
00:11:42.040 Trump doesn't do anything.
00:11:43.260 But 5%,
00:11:44.080 who the hell knows?
00:11:45.180 Trump runs as a dove candidate.
00:11:46.640 He runs against all of the wars.
00:11:48.160 And then one day
00:11:48.840 he decides to take out
00:11:49.760 the top Iranian general.
00:11:51.140 And you just don't know.
00:11:52.620 You think this guy
00:11:53.880 is gonna zig
00:11:54.460 and then he zags.
00:11:55.400 And DeSantis,
00:11:56.200 who has obviously learned
00:11:57.380 a ton of tricks
00:11:58.020 from Donald Trump,
00:11:58.980 this is one of the things
00:11:59.860 he's learned as well.
00:12:00.720 It's something conservatives
00:12:01.680 need to be aware of constantly.
00:12:03.460 You've got to be unpredictable.
00:12:05.840 Do not let the libs
00:12:07.880 lure you into
00:12:08.960 a steady,
00:12:09.880 predictable pattern
00:12:10.560 of behavior.
00:12:12.700 Keep up the pressure.
00:12:14.380 Keep up the political leverage.
00:12:15.960 But don't let them know
00:12:16.640 where you're going.
00:12:19.900 This stuff is really,
00:12:23.040 really popular.
00:12:24.980 Okay?
00:12:25.700 This stuff is a big
00:12:27.000 political winner.
00:12:27.700 It's not a big political winner
00:12:28.660 in the news media.
00:12:29.640 It's not a big political winner
00:12:31.000 among the establishment.
00:12:32.120 But the American people
00:12:33.240 love this stuff.
00:12:33.820 I quoted that Harvard-Harris poll.
00:12:35.600 Democrats never want to talk
00:12:36.640 about this poll.
00:12:37.140 It was in 2018.
00:12:38.260 And the way it phrased
00:12:39.640 the question,
00:12:40.260 it didn't ask,
00:12:42.300 do you want to reduce
00:12:43.080 immigration?
00:12:43.920 Because when polls ask
00:12:44.780 that question,
00:12:45.940 then it's a much more
00:12:46.960 of a mixed bag.
00:12:49.020 All the poll asked was,
00:12:50.880 what do you think
00:12:51.740 is a good level
00:12:52.560 of immigration?
00:12:54.700 Including legal immigration.
00:12:56.320 And most people said
00:12:57.320 for legal immigration,
00:12:59.300 about 500,000 people
00:13:00.860 per year
00:13:01.720 or less.
00:13:02.940 and then no illegal
00:13:05.700 immigration.
00:13:07.220 500,000 people.
00:13:08.600 We take in 3 million
00:13:09.660 people a year.
00:13:11.340 So when you actually
00:13:12.420 get down to the numbers,
00:13:13.600 the vast majority
00:13:14.480 of Americans want to
00:13:15.700 drastically reduce
00:13:16.860 all immigration.
00:13:19.040 Okay?
00:13:19.560 Because you couldn't
00:13:20.060 even get down to that
00:13:20.720 number if you only got
00:13:21.600 rid of all illegal
00:13:22.260 immigration.
00:13:22.780 You'd have to reduce
00:13:23.340 legal immigration too.
00:13:24.780 The policies are popular.
00:13:25.980 You see this with
00:13:26.460 pro-choice and pro-life.
00:13:28.480 When you ask questions
00:13:29.480 about abortion
00:13:30.080 and you use the phrases
00:13:30.920 pro-choice and pro-life,
00:13:33.420 it's kind of a mixed bag.
00:13:34.740 When you get into
00:13:35.420 the nitty-gritty
00:13:36.020 of when people think
00:13:37.360 you ought to be able
00:13:38.140 to kill a baby,
00:13:39.760 when you get into
00:13:40.320 the nitty-gritty
00:13:40.820 of what abortion
00:13:41.800 actually looks like,
00:13:42.720 the country is
00:13:43.360 overwhelmingly pro-life.
00:13:46.060 This stuff is very,
00:13:47.500 very popular.
00:13:49.420 When you just present
00:13:50.680 it to people,
00:13:52.080 we win.
00:13:53.640 If you ask someone,
00:13:54.580 hey, do you think
00:13:55.160 that we should tolerate
00:13:56.240 transgenderism
00:13:57.320 and gender-affirming care?
00:13:58.640 I promise you the polls
00:13:59.760 are going to be
00:14:00.040 a big mixed bag.
00:14:00.960 Maybe the majority
00:14:01.540 of Americans are even for it.
00:14:02.940 When you show them
00:14:03.820 what it actually means,
00:14:04.980 that gender-affirming care
00:14:06.360 means hacking off
00:14:07.540 people's forearms
00:14:08.620 and calves
00:14:09.340 and constructing
00:14:10.380 a fake
00:14:11.100 Frankenstein-esque
00:14:12.660 looking phallus
00:14:13.640 or some kinds of
00:14:14.500 fake genitals
00:14:15.420 that you sew on,
00:14:16.340 chopping little girls'
00:14:17.280 breasts off.
00:14:18.020 Hideous
00:14:18.500 Dr. Frankenstein stuff.
00:14:20.480 Those numbers
00:14:21.080 are going to plummet
00:14:21.700 into nothing, okay?
00:14:23.040 For the libs,
00:14:24.360 they've got to use
00:14:24.980 all these euphemisms.
00:14:26.100 And euphemisms
00:14:26.620 are soft words
00:14:27.560 that are designed
00:14:28.540 to soften
00:14:30.100 harsh truths
00:14:31.000 and then the way
00:14:31.540 the libs use them
00:14:32.200 is actually
00:14:32.560 to invert the truth.
00:14:34.080 So instead of referring
00:14:34.840 to an illegal alien,
00:14:36.240 which is a very precise
00:14:37.520 technical term,
00:14:38.540 it's a foreign national,
00:14:40.320 they use this term
00:14:41.160 undocumented American.
00:14:42.560 Well, whatever you think
00:14:43.300 of illegal aliens,
00:14:44.160 they sure ain't American,
00:14:45.240 okay?
00:14:45.520 That's not softening
00:14:47.080 a harsh truth,
00:14:47.700 that's actually
00:14:48.300 inverting reality.
00:14:49.660 That's what the libs
00:14:50.220 have to do.
00:14:50.960 And then they can win.
00:14:52.580 The conservatives,
00:14:53.440 all we have to do
00:14:53.980 is show people
00:14:54.560 the reality,
00:14:55.340 the reality of immigration,
00:14:56.860 the reality of transgenderism,
00:14:58.340 the reality of abortion,
00:14:59.160 the reality
00:14:59.680 of these political circumstances.
00:15:01.600 Then we win.
00:15:02.580 People are seeing
00:15:03.180 the reality right now
00:15:04.180 because the political realities
00:15:05.600 are so in our face.
00:15:06.940 Gas is at
00:15:07.680 not all time highs,
00:15:09.160 it's declined a little bit
00:15:10.060 over the summer,
00:15:10.760 but gas prices
00:15:11.380 are very, very high.
00:15:12.420 Food prices are very, very high.
00:15:13.620 Inflation year over year
00:15:14.480 is eight and a half percent.
00:15:16.120 Okay, people's dollars
00:15:17.140 are not going nearly as far.
00:15:18.760 You can just see it
00:15:19.600 with your own eyes.
00:15:21.380 And when people see
00:15:22.020 that reality,
00:15:23.020 the GOP does very well.
00:15:24.160 Right now,
00:15:24.960 according to the latest
00:15:26.720 AJC poll,
00:15:28.400 the GOP is leading
00:15:29.480 in all Georgia races.
00:15:31.300 Don't forget Georgia
00:15:32.180 in that after the crazy
00:15:34.180 2020 election,
00:15:35.600 Georgia and those runoffs
00:15:37.140 is what threw the Senate
00:15:39.180 to the Democrats.
00:15:40.180 Well, right now,
00:15:41.220 the GOP is absolutely
00:15:42.460 killing it.
00:15:43.640 Even Herschel Walker
00:15:44.500 versus Raphael Warnock.
00:15:46.860 Herschel, the Republican,
00:15:48.380 Warnock, the Democrat.
00:15:49.860 And Warnock had been doing
00:15:50.960 very, very well in the race.
00:15:51.960 Now it's 46-44 Herschel.
00:15:53.500 Brian Kemp is running
00:15:54.780 way ahead of Stacey Abrams,
00:15:56.260 50-42.
00:15:57.300 I'm sure Stacey Abrams still,
00:15:58.980 she could get beaten 90-10.
00:16:00.640 She still wouldn't
00:16:01.160 concede the race.
00:16:02.120 She's going to be the governor
00:16:02.940 in her own mind.
00:16:04.200 You're seeing GOP State
00:16:06.000 Senator Burt Jones
00:16:07.140 leading Charlie Bailey,
00:16:08.980 43-33.
00:16:10.780 GOP Attorney General
00:16:11.800 Chris Carr
00:16:12.400 absolutely destroying
00:16:14.100 Democrat State Senator
00:16:15.420 Jen Jordan,
00:16:16.640 45-35,
00:16:18.060 destroying her
00:16:18.600 with facts and logic
00:16:19.760 and votes.
00:16:20.240 The list goes on
00:16:21.100 and on and on.
00:16:22.280 If the liberals
00:16:22.960 want to win this race,
00:16:23.860 they're going to have to cheat.
00:16:25.660 Okay, and they are probably
00:16:26.720 going to cheat.
00:16:27.860 They're going to try to cheat.
00:16:28.780 They're going to try to push
00:16:29.440 widespread mail-in ballots.
00:16:31.380 They're going to try
00:16:32.380 to extend election day
00:16:33.700 to election.
00:16:34.200 They've already done that.
00:16:35.380 They're going to try
00:16:35.840 to extend election day
00:16:36.700 very, very far and wide.
00:16:37.800 They're going to try
00:16:38.300 to suppress GOP poll watchers.
00:16:40.160 This is regular stuff.
00:16:41.280 This isn't crazy
00:16:41.940 conspiracy theory stuff.
00:16:43.660 Democrats try to do this
00:16:44.660 virtually every election,
00:16:45.840 and now it's a lot easier
00:16:46.960 because of the way
00:16:47.500 they changed the rules
00:16:48.340 in 2020.
00:16:49.740 Now, speaking of cheating,
00:16:50.700 I've got to change gears
00:16:51.520 a little bit here.
00:16:52.940 I mentioned yesterday
00:16:54.120 that the singer
00:16:55.120 from Maroon 5
00:16:56.380 is being accused
00:16:57.860 of cheating
00:16:58.420 on his wife
00:16:59.260 and mother
00:17:00.100 of his three children
00:17:01.060 with some Instagram chick.
00:17:04.840 And I don't really care
00:17:07.100 about the story,
00:17:09.760 about any of these people
00:17:10.860 in the story in particular,
00:17:12.040 but I do care
00:17:13.120 about the story
00:17:14.040 because it is truly
00:17:15.500 a warning for everybody.
00:17:17.620 The update
00:17:18.940 on Maroon 5
00:17:20.260 is this chick
00:17:22.880 posted DMs
00:17:25.840 that the Maroon 5
00:17:26.720 singer had sent her,
00:17:27.760 hitting on her,
00:17:28.900 obviously trying to initiate
00:17:30.060 some sort of affair.
00:17:31.100 She then claims
00:17:31.640 they had a year-long affair
00:17:32.740 and that he kept messaging her
00:17:35.080 even after that.
00:17:36.080 He's now saying,
00:17:37.360 okay, I sent her the messages
00:17:38.520 because that part's undeniable,
00:17:40.140 but he's saying,
00:17:40.640 we never had the affair, though.
00:17:41.820 He said,
00:17:42.300 I used poor judgment
00:17:43.500 in speaking with anyone
00:17:44.680 other than my wife
00:17:45.760 in any kind of flirtatious manner.
00:17:47.880 I did not have an affair.
00:17:49.120 Nevertheless,
00:17:49.620 I crossed the line
00:17:50.260 during a regrettable period
00:17:51.360 of my life.
00:17:52.420 In certain instances,
00:17:53.180 it became inappropriate.
00:17:54.440 I've addressed that
00:17:55.060 and taken proactive steps
00:17:56.160 to remedy this with my family.
00:17:57.760 My wife and my family,
00:17:58.820 it's all I care about
00:17:59.780 in this world.
00:18:01.000 To be this naive
00:18:01.800 and stupid enough to risk,
00:18:02.840 the only thing
00:18:03.240 that truly matters to me
00:18:04.220 was the greatest mistake
00:18:05.240 I could ever make.
00:18:06.300 I will never make it again.
00:18:07.500 I take full responsibility.
00:18:08.760 We will get through it
00:18:09.540 and we will get through it together.
00:18:11.400 Okay.
00:18:12.200 I'm not even mentioning the story.
00:18:14.100 I'm not mentioning it
00:18:15.500 to beat up on the girl.
00:18:18.120 The girl's pretending
00:18:19.160 to be a victim here.
00:18:20.160 She's not really a victim.
00:18:21.500 She willingly and knowingly
00:18:23.540 had an affair
00:18:24.040 with a married man with kids.
00:18:25.340 She should atone for her sins
00:18:28.640 and kind of remain quiet
00:18:30.240 and not make a big spectacle
00:18:31.560 out of herself.
00:18:32.140 But I'm not mentioning the story
00:18:33.560 to beat up on her.
00:18:34.320 I'm not even mentioning the story
00:18:35.400 to beat up on him.
00:18:36.200 As Drew Klavan says,
00:18:37.400 every man is two drinks
00:18:38.400 and a wink away
00:18:39.340 from burning down his life.
00:18:40.760 Okay.
00:18:41.220 So yes,
00:18:42.380 there but for the grace of God
00:18:43.560 go all of us.
00:18:44.720 The reason I mention this story
00:18:46.180 is because of a moral
00:18:51.280 and it's a sort of moral trick.
00:18:56.420 Okay.
00:18:56.900 But it's really helpful
00:18:57.940 for people who write
00:18:58.820 into this show a lot.
00:18:59.740 We had this long conversation
00:19:00.660 last night on backstage
00:19:02.000 about porn.
00:19:03.280 And then it kind of
00:19:03.840 became a conversation
00:19:04.620 about all sorts of sins
00:19:05.800 and vices.
00:19:06.680 And on the mailbag
00:19:07.760 of this show,
00:19:08.300 I don't know,
00:19:09.020 a fifth, a quarter,
00:19:10.720 maybe a third of the messages
00:19:12.100 I get are from young men
00:19:13.500 who are hooked on porn
00:19:14.480 and they say it's a really
00:19:15.180 big problem in their lives.
00:19:18.080 The trick here
00:19:19.140 is avoiding the near occasion
00:19:21.680 of sin.
00:19:23.020 Okay.
00:19:23.640 And it sounds like
00:19:25.500 really moral religious language
00:19:26.940 and it is,
00:19:28.080 but it's,
00:19:29.100 even if you're an atheist,
00:19:30.980 even if you don't take
00:19:32.460 religion that seriously,
00:19:33.200 this is just a really
00:19:34.220 practical tool
00:19:35.440 for your own life.
00:19:38.120 Did this guy have an affair
00:19:39.500 or not?
00:19:40.740 It certainly seems like he did.
00:19:42.860 But regardless,
00:19:44.440 he didn't start screwing up
00:19:48.020 when he had the affair.
00:19:50.080 He didn't even start
00:19:51.740 screwing up
00:19:52.500 when he messaged
00:19:53.600 the hot Instagram girl.
00:19:56.380 He started screwing up
00:19:58.240 when he went on Instagram
00:20:00.540 and he knew
00:20:02.360 that he would find
00:20:03.020 this kind of content.
00:20:05.440 If you want to,
00:20:06.500 of what people write in,
00:20:07.280 they say,
00:20:07.500 and this was the question
00:20:08.280 on the backstage show
00:20:08.980 last night,
00:20:09.740 how can my husband
00:20:11.020 stop looking at porn?
00:20:14.620 He's not going to stop it
00:20:15.880 at the point
00:20:16.860 of looking at the porn.
00:20:18.160 He's going to stop it
00:20:18.940 a few steps back.
00:20:20.380 He's going to maybe
00:20:21.020 put some safeguards
00:20:22.060 on his computer.
00:20:22.840 He's going to maybe
00:20:23.420 use his computer
00:20:24.440 or his phone
00:20:25.460 or his iPad
00:20:26.000 or whatever
00:20:26.480 in a different way.
00:20:27.860 He's going to get hobbies.
00:20:29.440 He's going to spend
00:20:30.200 his time differently.
00:20:32.240 He's got to avoid
00:20:33.380 the near occasion of sin.
00:20:34.380 Mike Pence got in big trouble
00:20:35.540 for this five or six years ago
00:20:37.060 when he said that he doesn't
00:20:38.140 have private dinners
00:20:38.860 with women.
00:20:40.280 If he's having a dinner
00:20:41.380 with a woman,
00:20:42.420 his wife has to be present.
00:20:43.780 And the libs called him
00:20:44.820 sexist and awful
00:20:45.740 and terrible for this.
00:20:46.680 Then five seconds later,
00:20:48.240 the Me Too scandal breaks out
00:20:49.800 and they wouldn't give
00:20:52.220 Mike Pence any credit.
00:20:54.260 Even though what Mike Pence
00:20:55.400 is saying is,
00:20:56.140 I love my wife.
00:20:57.040 I don't want to put women
00:20:58.000 in a bad position
00:20:58.740 and I don't want to put me
00:20:59.720 in a near occasion of sin
00:21:00.640 so I'm just not going
00:21:01.620 to do that.
00:21:03.240 They get angry at Mike Pence
00:21:04.260 for not cheating
00:21:04.920 on his wife basically.
00:21:06.500 But what Mike Pence did
00:21:07.820 is very, very smart
00:21:08.660 because he's saying,
00:21:09.480 look, I don't think
00:21:10.680 I'd cheat on my wife.
00:21:11.420 Certainly don't want
00:21:11.960 to cheat on my wife
00:21:12.680 but I'm a man.
00:21:13.740 I got red blood.
00:21:14.760 I don't want to put myself
00:21:15.760 in a situation
00:21:16.540 where that is going to be
00:21:18.040 tempting or a risk
00:21:20.540 or even it could have
00:21:22.100 the whiff of scandal
00:21:23.680 or it could even look improper.
00:21:25.160 I'm just not going
00:21:26.020 to do that at all.
00:21:27.040 This is an important lesson
00:21:28.860 for everybody.
00:21:31.080 Don't put yourself
00:21:32.320 in the situation
00:21:33.060 where the temptation
00:21:33.780 is going to be so great
00:21:34.620 and overwhelm you.
00:21:35.820 That's a sin
00:21:36.600 in and of itself.
00:21:37.760 Be smart about this stuff
00:21:39.140 or else you're going
00:21:39.660 to look like a total schmuck
00:21:40.740 and you're going
00:21:41.220 to burn down your life
00:21:42.040 and you're going
00:21:42.520 to lose the things,
00:21:43.320 the only things
00:21:44.000 that really matter
00:21:44.660 to you in life.
00:21:45.800 And you're going
00:21:46.020 to have no one
00:21:46.400 but yourself
00:21:46.860 to blame for it.
00:21:47.640 Speaking of shameful
00:21:49.120 sex stuff,
00:21:51.180 really, really big story
00:21:52.600 just came out
00:21:53.600 of Daily Wire.
00:21:54.600 Our pal Matt Walsh
00:21:55.740 has been on this jihad
00:21:57.160 against the transgender movement
00:21:59.220 ever since his movie
00:22:00.920 came out,
00:22:01.620 What is a Woman?
00:22:02.580 And he's been digging up
00:22:04.900 and the research team
00:22:06.060 here at Daily Wire
00:22:06.700 have been digging up videos
00:22:08.320 from these transgender clinics,
00:22:11.080 specifically the pediatric
00:22:12.200 transgender clinics.
00:22:13.160 You remember what happened
00:22:14.420 at the Boston Children's Hospital.
00:22:16.420 The Boston Children's Hospital
00:22:17.880 got caught by libs of TikTok
00:22:19.260 saying that they perform
00:22:21.320 these crazy gender surgeries
00:22:23.180 on children,
00:22:26.240 on people who are
00:22:27.300 16 years old or younger,
00:22:30.580 13 years old.
00:22:32.440 Okay, and this is a big scandal.
00:22:35.000 People were rightly
00:22:35.680 very upset about this.
00:22:37.020 Well, it turns out
00:22:37.520 this is happening
00:22:38.060 in our own backyard.
00:22:39.800 Vanderbilt Hospital
00:22:40.680 here in Nashville, Tennessee
00:22:41.880 has a pediatric gender clinic
00:22:44.580 and Matt and the research team
00:22:47.180 here at Daily Wire
00:22:48.200 have dug up some videos
00:22:50.440 of them explaining
00:22:51.800 exactly how this
00:22:53.000 transgender clinic started.
00:22:55.180 Now, when you want to talk
00:22:56.300 to me about this
00:22:56.900 and so many other things,
00:22:58.380 you've got to write in
00:23:00.560 to the Voice mailbag.
00:23:02.340 Pure Talk sponsors
00:23:03.180 the Voice mailbag.
00:23:04.500 How do you do it?
00:23:06.140 You head on over
00:23:07.220 to the Michael Knowles show page
00:23:09.180 at the Daily Wire.
00:23:09.900 You click on Watch,
00:23:10.720 you click on the Michael Knowles show,
00:23:12.700 then you click submit
00:23:13.680 a mailbag question.
00:23:15.160 Now, you can type out
00:23:16.340 your question if you want
00:23:17.040 or on your phone
00:23:18.020 or on your computer,
00:23:18.640 you can record
00:23:19.200 just a little voice recording,
00:23:21.540 less than one minute, please,
00:23:23.020 so that we can feature it
00:23:23.640 on the show.
00:23:24.340 And then you just attach it
00:23:25.820 as a file to the email,
00:23:26.820 send it in,
00:23:27.560 and we will hear
00:23:28.340 your mellifluous
00:23:29.460 and dulcet voice
00:23:30.520 on Friday.
00:23:31.920 The Vanderbilt Pediatric
00:23:36.460 Transgender Clinic
00:23:37.740 started four years ago
00:23:40.220 sort of surreptitiously.
00:23:42.260 They didn't want to make
00:23:42.940 too many waves.
00:23:43.840 They just wanted to make
00:23:45.360 a bunch of money
00:23:46.440 preying on sexually confused kids
00:23:49.260 with very confused
00:23:50.500 and sometimes predatory parents
00:23:53.040 and put these kids
00:23:55.100 on cross-sex hormones,
00:23:56.340 mutilate their bodies,
00:23:57.380 and make them patients for life.
00:23:58.600 The key to this expose
00:24:02.120 is the reason that
00:24:04.900 one of the leaders
00:24:05.760 of the Pediatric Transgender Clinic
00:24:07.420 gave for why they started it up.
00:24:11.100 Insurance carriers are mandated
00:24:13.060 to cover medical expenses
00:24:14.220 for trans folks.
00:24:16.840 Some of our BUMC financial folks
00:24:19.060 in October of 2016,
00:24:22.620 starting a couple years ago,
00:24:24.060 put down some costs
00:24:25.780 of how much money
00:24:26.580 we think each patient
00:24:27.540 would bring in.
00:24:28.200 And this is only
00:24:29.140 including top surgery.
00:24:30.440 This doesn't include
00:24:30.960 any bottom surgery.
00:24:32.740 And it's a lot of money.
00:24:35.360 These surgeries make
00:24:36.020 a lot of money.
00:24:37.640 So female to male
00:24:39.020 in chest reconstruction
00:24:39.960 can bring in $40,000.
00:24:43.060 A patient just on routine
00:24:44.500 hormone treatment
00:24:45.300 who I'm only seeing
00:24:46.100 a few times a year
00:24:47.200 can bring in
00:24:48.380 several thousand dollars
00:24:49.620 because it requires
00:24:50.140 a lot of visits and labs.
00:24:51.220 It actually makes money
00:24:52.220 for the hospital.
00:24:53.800 And then the female
00:24:54.460 to male bottom surgeries,
00:24:56.380 these are huge money makers.
00:24:58.200 Again,
00:24:58.920 I think this has to be
00:24:59.940 an underestimate
00:25:00.600 that they're quoting
00:25:01.340 around $20,000
00:25:02.240 for a phalloplasty.
00:25:03.780 There's been different things
00:25:04.720 that I've read that said
00:25:05.400 it could be up to $100,000.
00:25:07.660 Dr. Winneker,
00:25:08.640 who's our surgeon,
00:25:09.820 said that there's
00:25:10.400 entire clinics
00:25:11.260 where the entire clinic
00:25:12.980 is supported
00:25:13.540 just by their phalloplasties.
00:25:15.320 And that is like
00:25:16.320 a fraction of the surgeries
00:25:17.920 that they're doing.
00:25:19.660 These are huge money makers.
00:25:21.800 And of course they are.
00:25:22.700 Some of us have been
00:25:23.700 pointing this out
00:25:24.620 for years now.
00:25:26.140 That when you
00:25:27.140 get anybody
00:25:28.960 to go down
00:25:29.740 the transgender rabbit hole,
00:25:31.480 you create
00:25:32.120 a very, very lucrative
00:25:33.640 patient for life
00:25:34.880 because these people
00:25:35.540 have open wounds,
00:25:36.820 all sorts of horrible mutilations.
00:25:38.440 They've got to take
00:25:38.860 all sorts of drugs.
00:25:39.700 And it's very, very expensive.
00:25:41.100 And big pharma
00:25:41.740 and the health establishment
00:25:43.460 make a lot of money on that.
00:25:45.360 So do you know
00:25:46.120 how you can make
00:25:46.660 even more money
00:25:47.480 than getting some poor,
00:25:48.860 depressed, mentally ill
00:25:50.000 25-year-old
00:25:50.880 to chop off his genitals
00:25:52.120 and take a bunch
00:25:52.660 of expensive drugs?
00:25:53.780 If you get kids to do it.
00:25:55.360 Because then you've got
00:25:55.920 a patient for 10 years longer
00:25:57.180 or more.
00:25:58.420 You've got that patient
00:25:59.300 for life.
00:26:00.260 And as their health
00:26:01.460 deteriorates
00:26:02.220 and there are more complications
00:26:03.400 from this sort of mutilation,
00:26:04.820 they're going to need
00:26:05.340 more and more expensive drugs
00:26:06.700 and interventions.
00:26:08.800 And that's not just
00:26:09.780 some crazy conspiracy theory.
00:26:11.860 That's what one of the heads
00:26:12.940 of the Pediatric Gender Clinic
00:26:14.200 just said
00:26:14.860 when she was explaining
00:26:16.600 why they established
00:26:17.760 the clinic.
00:26:19.740 All of which means,
00:26:20.980 by the way,
00:26:22.400 that while we're talking
00:26:23.440 about giving out
00:26:24.060 these really difficult drugs
00:26:26.840 to kids,
00:26:28.720 I've got a really difficult,
00:26:30.540 hard-to-swallow pill
00:26:31.380 for conservatives.
00:26:32.380 What this means is that
00:26:33.560 the transgender mania,
00:26:35.560 including and especially
00:26:36.620 transing the kids,
00:26:37.840 is not just a product
00:26:39.320 of leftism.
00:26:40.160 It's not just a product
00:26:41.600 of cultural Marxism.
00:26:43.200 It is a product
00:26:44.280 of those things.
00:26:46.040 But it is just as much
00:26:47.520 a product
00:26:48.000 of capitalism
00:26:49.280 and individualism.
00:26:51.440 These people are just out
00:26:52.540 to make a buck
00:26:53.440 and to be capitalist ideology.
00:26:55.880 Don't forget,
00:26:56.380 capitalism,
00:26:57.080 although a lot of
00:26:57.880 conservatives identify
00:26:58.980 as capitalists
00:26:59.940 and tout capitalism,
00:27:01.200 capitalism is a word
00:27:02.040 that was popularized
00:27:02.900 by Karl Marx,
00:27:03.900 okay?
00:27:04.780 Capitalism is a godless
00:27:06.820 modern ideology
00:27:07.900 that worships mammon,
00:27:09.500 that does one of the
00:27:11.320 key things in the Bible
00:27:13.300 that the Bible says
00:27:13.960 do not do,
00:27:14.800 worship mammon.
00:27:15.420 That's what it does.
00:27:16.240 And what you get out of this
00:27:17.540 is the kind of 1980s caricature,
00:27:20.420 American psycho,
00:27:21.480 Gordon Gekko,
00:27:22.360 greed is good kind of thing.
00:27:24.000 This idea that the economy
00:27:25.620 is morally neutral,
00:27:27.320 that we've just got to
00:27:28.120 pursue profit ruthlessly,
00:27:29.960 this Ayn Rand sociopathy,
00:27:32.440 okay?
00:27:33.200 This is what that leads to.
00:27:35.080 This leads to treating
00:27:36.140 human beings
00:27:36.840 not as your brothers
00:27:39.480 and fellow creatures
00:27:42.260 made in the image
00:27:42.960 and likeness of God,
00:27:44.020 but as treating them
00:27:45.160 as just something
00:27:47.520 to be used
00:27:48.460 for your own benefit
00:27:49.520 so you can make a buck.
00:27:50.540 Even if it means
00:27:51.140 chopping off a kid's genitals,
00:27:53.260 well, hey,
00:27:53.660 that's going to be
00:27:54.100 a really great way
00:27:54.960 to make a lot of money.
00:27:56.080 So whatever,
00:27:57.320 as long as they consent to it,
00:27:58.940 that's fine.
00:27:59.920 And in the modern era,
00:28:01.660 because we've thrown
00:28:02.380 morality out the window
00:28:03.440 and all we care about
00:28:04.220 is making money,
00:28:05.340 the only moral criterion
00:28:07.540 that we even discuss at all
00:28:09.120 is consent.
00:28:10.400 Well, as long as two people
00:28:11.680 consent to it,
00:28:12.480 that's absolutely fine.
00:28:13.840 Now, of course,
00:28:14.340 in the case of children,
00:28:15.080 they cannot consent.
00:28:16.360 So the liberals
00:28:17.440 are trying to convince everyone
00:28:18.560 that children can give consent.
00:28:20.240 That's one of the explicit
00:28:21.140 arguments they're making.
00:28:22.220 But in this case,
00:28:23.440 they can say,
00:28:23.760 well, the parents consent to it
00:28:24.900 and it's the parents' job
00:28:25.820 to raise the kids.
00:28:26.340 So as long as we get
00:28:26.920 the parents to consent,
00:28:27.960 it's totally fine.
00:28:28.840 But it's not totally fine.
00:28:30.820 And in a world in which
00:28:31.940 moral criteria
00:28:33.140 don't really matter
00:28:34.840 or they're unintelligible
00:28:35.800 and we can't have
00:28:36.520 those kinds of conversations
00:28:37.580 about what is good
00:28:38.720 and true and beautiful
00:28:39.440 and virtuous,
00:28:40.380 then all that matters
00:28:42.020 is individual choice.
00:28:44.360 And so you'll very often
00:28:45.880 hear people say,
00:28:46.920 well, look,
00:28:47.860 if an individual
00:28:48.620 wants to mutilate his body,
00:28:50.020 well, that's none of my business.
00:28:51.080 Who cares?
00:28:52.320 Well, I think it is my business
00:28:53.720 for two reasons.
00:28:54.460 One, because I've got
00:28:55.420 faculties of reasons
00:28:56.400 and I can separate
00:28:57.120 true from false
00:28:57.800 and right from wrong.
00:28:59.080 But two, because I live
00:29:00.100 in a society
00:29:00.740 and we have self-government.
00:29:02.440 So actually,
00:29:03.340 the things that we're allowed
00:29:04.540 to do and not allowed to do,
00:29:05.900 it's everybody's business
00:29:06.960 in all societies,
00:29:08.880 in all political communities,
00:29:09.840 but especially
00:29:10.360 in self-government.
00:29:11.520 Because in America,
00:29:12.820 at least in the olden days,
00:29:14.820 at least according
00:29:15.280 to the Constitution,
00:29:16.260 we're supposed to be
00:29:17.060 the people who make the laws.
00:29:18.340 So yes,
00:29:18.840 it very much is our business.
00:29:21.580 But we don't want
00:29:22.320 to talk that way anymore.
00:29:23.840 And it's especially
00:29:24.540 people on the right
00:29:25.340 who don't want to talk
00:29:25.980 that way anymore.
00:29:26.960 We just talk about
00:29:27.600 individuals and,
00:29:28.340 well, it's your choice.
00:29:29.060 Do whatever you want.
00:29:30.900 Because we've thrown out
00:29:32.180 this notion of duty,
00:29:33.400 which has always been
00:29:34.740 essential to the
00:29:35.560 conservative worldview
00:29:36.360 until about five minutes ago,
00:29:38.520 until really 20, 30 years ago,
00:29:42.000 when duty was replaced
00:29:43.340 by rights and my freedom
00:29:45.860 and my individual choice.
00:29:47.700 Because of that,
00:29:48.360 we can no longer say,
00:29:49.580 no, a man who was born a man
00:29:51.460 has a duty,
00:29:52.180 has a responsibility
00:29:52.800 to act like a man.
00:29:54.220 Don Corleone.
00:29:55.080 Johnny Fontaine.
00:29:55.980 What can you do?
00:29:56.520 You can act like a man.
00:29:57.500 What's the matter with you?
00:29:58.680 And women have a responsibility
00:29:59.940 to act like women.
00:30:01.160 That our bodies,
00:30:02.260 that the given circumstances
00:30:04.600 of ourselves
00:30:06.460 actually dictate
00:30:08.380 some of the things
00:30:09.160 that we ought to do.
00:30:10.380 We can't just do
00:30:11.220 whatever the hell we want.
00:30:12.400 We don't have a right
00:30:13.280 to do that, at least.
00:30:15.640 And if you accept
00:30:16.860 that premise,
00:30:17.980 that conservative premise,
00:30:19.120 then of course you've got to
00:30:19.960 get rid of the crazy
00:30:20.680 transgender surgery.
00:30:22.540 It's harmful.
00:30:23.220 Doctors take an oath,
00:30:24.140 first to do no harm.
00:30:26.720 It's harmful to the patients.
00:30:28.360 It's harmful to society.
00:30:29.620 It's based on a false anthropology.
00:30:31.460 Just get rid of it,
00:30:32.560 especially for kids,
00:30:33.780 but for everybody.
00:30:36.060 Or if the conservatives,
00:30:39.620 even the conservatives,
00:30:40.740 throw these moral criteria
00:30:42.180 out the window,
00:30:43.060 then we're basically
00:30:43.920 just the libs.
00:30:45.300 And it all just comes down
00:30:46.480 to choice,
00:30:48.620 personal interest,
00:30:50.280 personal base desire.
00:30:52.040 The only difference
00:30:53.540 is conservatives talk
00:30:54.560 a little bit more
00:30:55.200 about making money,
00:30:56.560 but only a little bit more.
00:30:57.860 You hear that lib,
00:30:58.760 I guarantee you
00:30:59.360 that doctor is a big lib.
00:31:00.840 And she's talking about it too.
00:31:01.720 She goes,
00:31:01.940 these transgender surgeries
00:31:02.900 on kids,
00:31:03.280 they're going to make us
00:31:03.740 a lot of money.
00:31:04.940 At that point,
00:31:05.800 if you throw out
00:31:06.460 the duty and the obligation
00:31:07.600 and the criteria
00:31:08.320 and the transcendent moral order
00:31:09.600 and the virtue,
00:31:10.520 then all the conservatives are
00:31:11.760 is just greedy liberals.
00:31:13.240 They're just especially
00:31:14.220 greedy liberals.
00:31:15.740 Right?
00:31:16.280 People who say,
00:31:17.220 you know,
00:31:17.460 I'm fiscally conservative,
00:31:18.500 but socially liberal.
00:31:19.340 All that means is
00:31:19.940 you're a greedy liberal.
00:31:20.960 You don't even want
00:31:22.120 to give your money
00:31:22.640 in taxes to the poor.
00:31:24.440 You want all the terrible
00:31:25.580 liberal stuff
00:31:26.220 and you're greedy
00:31:27.200 and you're extra greedy
00:31:28.880 on top of it.
00:31:29.840 Not good.
00:31:30.600 Not good, folks.
00:31:32.080 We need a little bit
00:31:32.680 of introspection here
00:31:33.720 because we can whine
00:31:35.880 and complain and say,
00:31:36.700 oh, the terrible left
00:31:37.360 is doing this.
00:31:38.200 Yeah, we let them do it.
00:31:39.240 How did we let them do it?
00:31:41.100 The people broadly
00:31:42.580 have common sense,
00:31:44.340 I think.
00:31:45.200 That's what we were
00:31:45.740 talking about earlier
00:31:46.400 on immigration,
00:31:47.260 on abortion,
00:31:47.840 on the transgender issue.
00:31:49.300 The people have common sense.
00:31:50.260 They know this stuff
00:31:51.120 is wrong.
00:31:52.540 Okay?
00:31:52.900 I think they're with us
00:31:53.860 overwhelmingly.
00:31:55.800 So then how did we
00:31:56.780 let the libs win?
00:31:57.960 How did we let it go so far?
00:32:00.140 It's because of a failure
00:32:01.320 of conservatives.
00:32:03.040 It's because in many ways
00:32:03.920 we've accepted
00:32:04.440 the libs' premises.
00:32:07.260 But people know
00:32:08.060 this stuff is wrong.
00:32:08.980 You remember the teacher
00:32:09.880 I was talking about yesterday?
00:32:11.420 That Canadian male teacher
00:32:13.240 who's got some kind
00:32:14.680 of bizarre sexual fetish
00:32:16.320 and who wears
00:32:17.200 these giant size
00:32:18.560 triple Z
00:32:19.400 prosthetic breasts
00:32:20.980 into the classroom.
00:32:22.540 And he's a shop teacher
00:32:23.360 which seems especially dangerous.
00:32:24.780 But they're these
00:32:25.180 very gigantic
00:32:26.260 obscene
00:32:27.840 prosthetic breasts.
00:32:30.020 And he dresses up
00:32:30.780 like a woman.
00:32:31.460 And the guy obviously
00:32:32.360 needs serious counseling.
00:32:34.260 And he needs
00:32:34.920 some spiritual direction.
00:32:35.840 And he might need
00:32:36.520 to be committed
00:32:36.960 to an insane asylum.
00:32:38.620 Unfortunately,
00:32:39.120 our society has gone insane.
00:32:40.300 So the insane asylum
00:32:41.220 is just the country.
00:32:42.740 That's where we live.
00:32:43.380 And this is true
00:32:44.460 up in Canada
00:32:44.980 up in America's Hat
00:32:45.840 as well.
00:32:46.700 Peter Boghossian
00:32:47.360 is a really interesting
00:32:48.920 academic.
00:32:49.940 He's one of the guys
00:32:51.200 along with James Lindsay
00:32:52.680 behind the
00:32:54.660 so-called squared
00:32:57.040 grievance studies
00:32:58.560 hoax that happened
00:32:59.680 a few years ago
00:33:00.400 where these academics
00:33:01.480 submitted completely bogus
00:33:02.760 nonsensical papers
00:33:03.860 on all sorts of
00:33:05.700 critical theory
00:33:06.580 and grievance studies
00:33:07.540 to academic journals.
00:33:08.560 And they were accepted.
00:33:09.540 And it was very, very funny.
00:33:10.620 So Peter Boghossian,
00:33:11.560 he tweets out,
00:33:12.240 most people have
00:33:14.000 strong moral impulses
00:33:15.260 about whether
00:33:15.820 this individual,
00:33:17.000 this male teacher
00:33:17.840 with the fake
00:33:18.440 giant prosthetic breasts
00:33:19.660 should be allowed
00:33:20.680 to teach their children
00:33:21.560 in a public school.
00:33:22.720 But very few
00:33:23.620 can construct a good argument
00:33:24.840 why or why not.
00:33:25.840 It's more difficult
00:33:26.460 than you think.
00:33:27.140 Try it.
00:33:29.220 So I don't think
00:33:30.240 it's difficult at all.
00:33:31.460 I think it's very simple
00:33:32.460 to construct an argument
00:33:34.000 as to why.
00:33:34.820 And the argument is this.
00:33:35.880 The purpose of school
00:33:36.960 is to educate students
00:33:39.060 not to corrupt students.
00:33:41.220 The purpose of education
00:33:43.700 is to show students
00:33:45.900 and instruct them
00:33:46.700 in the good,
00:33:48.940 true,
00:33:49.180 and beautiful ways
00:33:49.860 to behave
00:33:50.360 and ways to think
00:33:51.160 and to introduce them
00:33:52.580 to this kind of knowledge
00:33:53.380 in that way.
00:33:54.100 Not to corrupt them.
00:33:57.360 Right?
00:33:57.520 It's to develop
00:33:58.200 their rational wills,
00:33:59.480 not their lowest appetites.
00:34:00.920 Right?
00:34:01.260 And so this man
00:34:02.700 who is so egregiously deviant
00:34:04.820 obviously is not suited
00:34:07.720 to educate.
00:34:08.520 He is only suited
00:34:09.540 to corrupt
00:34:10.440 and screw up
00:34:10.940 people's brains.
00:34:11.960 And so he should
00:34:12.720 not be teaching.
00:34:13.340 I think it's a very simple argument.
00:34:14.560 It's very obviously true.
00:34:17.000 And I don't know.
00:34:17.760 Maybe Peter doesn't want
00:34:18.740 to make an argument like that.
00:34:19.900 But he might just be saying
00:34:20.940 something deeper too.
00:34:22.660 I'm not sure.
00:34:23.160 He might just be saying,
00:34:23.860 look,
00:34:24.000 we all know this is wrong
00:34:25.180 even if you can't construct
00:34:26.720 an argument for it.
00:34:27.840 Can't we all just accept
00:34:29.120 that it's wrong?
00:34:30.220 Isn't there a sort of wisdom
00:34:31.300 to repugnance
00:34:32.240 as the bioethicist
00:34:33.840 Leon Kass might say?
00:34:35.420 And we can just know.
00:34:36.560 You just look at it.
00:34:38.480 And I'm not saying
00:34:39.180 this is right 100% of the time,
00:34:40.860 but we just know,
00:34:42.420 thanks to good prejudice,
00:34:44.920 we just know
00:34:46.000 that this pervert teacher
00:34:47.560 wearing the weird
00:34:48.600 sexual fetish costume
00:34:49.800 to the classroom
00:34:50.680 is not right.
00:34:52.360 And we can say no to that.
00:34:54.920 At least traditionally
00:34:56.660 in self-government,
00:34:57.760 we have been allowed
00:34:58.480 to say no to that.
00:34:59.160 Whether we still can or not,
00:35:00.640 I suppose,
00:35:01.240 remains to be seen.
00:35:03.660 So you've stopped
00:35:04.200 giving your money
00:35:04.740 to woke razor companies
00:35:05.720 that hate you.
00:35:06.500 You've bought
00:35:07.060 Jeremy's Razors instead.
00:35:08.260 Good on you.
00:35:09.020 Every dollar we take away
00:35:10.240 from the libs
00:35:10.820 is $1 saved from misuse.
00:35:13.580 But that is a fringe benefit
00:35:15.020 compared to the
00:35:15.720 Jeremy's Razors
00:35:16.560 contest for the car
00:35:18.040 that we've just launched.
00:35:19.420 Here is how it works.
00:35:20.340 For every person you refer,
00:35:22.240 whether they buy
00:35:22.940 a Jeremy's Razors kit
00:35:24.220 or a Daily Wire
00:35:25.360 annual membership,
00:35:26.880 you both get points
00:35:28.200 in the race to win
00:35:29.240 the God King's McLaren.
00:35:31.200 Now listen,
00:35:31.580 this isn't just
00:35:33.020 a masculine car.
00:35:35.240 It actually spells out
00:35:36.820 the word masculine
00:35:37.800 in exhaust fumes.
00:35:38.920 I would know.
00:35:40.000 I was standing right behind it
00:35:41.380 when Jeremy peeled out
00:35:42.540 of the parking lot yesterday.
00:35:44.000 If you refer enough people,
00:35:46.000 you just might win it.
00:35:47.040 Seriously.
00:35:48.260 A 3.8 liter V8 powered sports car
00:35:52.260 with hundreds more horsepower
00:35:54.180 than my Honda Civic.
00:35:56.280 I know it's shocking
00:35:57.480 because my Honda Civic,
00:35:58.340 I basically feel like
00:35:59.000 Vin Diesel in that thing.
00:35:59.920 But the McLaren,
00:36:01.100 even more powerful.
00:36:02.200 Now I know Ben believes
00:36:04.140 that he has the best
00:36:05.460 and smartest audience
00:36:06.240 out there.
00:36:06.920 But if one of you
00:36:07.860 were to win,
00:36:08.800 I would be able
00:36:09.300 to prove him wrong.
00:36:11.200 We all know it,
00:36:12.360 but I'd be able
00:36:12.760 to prove it once and for all.
00:36:13.880 So it would not only
00:36:14.820 be a win for you,
00:36:15.780 but a big win for me too.
00:36:16.880 To sign up
00:36:17.520 and start competing,

00:36:21.140 The race for the car

00:36:23.120 so get in the competition today.
00:36:25.060 See terms and conditions

00:36:27.060 at jeremysrazors.com
00:36:28.180 slash referral terms.
00:36:29.680 The program is open only
00:36:30.860 to legal U.S. residents
00:36:31.860 residing in the U.S. and D.C.,
00:36:33.600 excluding residents
00:36:34.340 of Colorado, Connecticut,
00:36:35.660 Maryland, Puerto Rico,
00:36:36.840 and U.S. territories
00:36:37.600 and possessions.
00:36:38.520 18 and older,
00:36:39.240 remember,
00:36:39.660 friends don't let friends
00:36:40.680 shave with woke razors.
00:36:42.340 The crazy teacher in Canada
00:36:49.840 with the gigantic
00:36:50.680 prosthetic breasts
00:36:51.740 and the school
00:36:53.580 defends the teacher,
00:36:54.640 even though the parents
00:36:55.320 and the students
00:36:55.920 are rightly complaining
00:36:57.760 about it.
00:36:58.680 It raises this point
00:37:00.600 that we haven't seemed
00:37:01.820 to appreciate recently,
00:37:03.780 which is,
00:37:04.560 in order to have education,
00:37:07.480 you need to agree
00:37:08.760 on the purpose.
00:37:09.540 What's the purpose
00:37:10.080 of education?
00:37:10.660 Are you going to learn
00:37:12.480 the liberal arts?
00:37:13.880 Are you going to learn
00:37:15.340 the technical arts?
00:37:17.020 Are you going to learn
00:37:18.180 how to be a sadomasochist?
00:37:20.460 Are you going to learn
00:37:21.620 how to become
00:37:23.560 a sort of pervert?
00:37:25.100 Are you going to learn
00:37:26.620 communism?
00:37:28.340 Are you going to learn
00:37:29.700 something?
00:37:31.500 Education has to have an end.
00:37:33.600 It has to have a telos.
00:37:35.440 It has to,
00:37:36.000 you have to be aiming
00:37:37.900 at something together.
00:37:38.740 The same is true
00:37:40.840 of a political community.
00:37:43.480 All political communities,
00:37:45.400 cities, states, nations,
00:37:48.200 are people living together
00:37:50.320 in community
00:37:51.040 with a common purpose.
00:37:53.640 What are we after?
00:37:55.140 What are we all about?
00:37:56.420 What are we all doing together?
00:37:58.960 It is not enough
00:38:00.400 just to say,
00:38:01.260 well, we're just here,
00:38:02.500 I'm just here
00:38:03.460 to protect my rights.
00:38:05.100 Right, in a way,
00:38:05.900 that's a sort of purpose too.
00:38:07.280 Or we're going to spread
00:38:10.140 democracy abroad.
00:38:11.300 I don't know that that's
00:38:12.060 necessarily the smartest purpose.
00:38:13.400 Hasn't worked out very well
00:38:14.280 historically,
00:38:14.900 but that would be one purpose.
00:38:17.400 Or we're going to
00:38:18.600 build up American industry
00:38:20.340 and be a shining city
00:38:22.000 on a hill
00:38:22.520 for others to see,
00:38:23.520 a beacon of hope
00:38:24.080 to the world.
00:38:25.460 That's one.
00:38:25.940 But we have to have,
00:38:26.960 we have to agree
00:38:27.700 on what we're doing.
00:38:28.780 And increasingly,
00:38:29.780 we can't do that
00:38:30.740 because the libs
00:38:31.560 have their own
00:38:32.000 perverted moral view
00:38:33.160 that tears down
00:38:33.960 all that is traditionally
00:38:35.080 American.
00:38:35.880 And the conservatives
00:38:36.600 just don't really
00:38:38.100 offer any moral view anymore.
00:38:39.540 Even if we have them,
00:38:40.460 we're too afraid
00:38:41.400 to articulate it.
00:38:42.520 But we have to have a purpose.
00:38:43.800 Speaking of not having a purpose,
00:38:46.340 David Hogg.
00:38:46.960 Do you remember David Hogg?
00:38:47.940 He's one of the kids
00:38:48.820 who,
00:38:49.340 he was at that school
00:38:50.560 in Florida
00:38:51.100 where the shooting,
00:38:52.460 one of the shootings
00:38:53.160 took place.
00:38:54.160 And he used that
00:38:56.060 as an opportunity
00:38:56.680 to become somewhat famous.
00:38:58.620 And he immediately
00:38:59.540 jumped on TV
00:39:00.380 and he turned this
00:39:01.540 into a small sort of
00:39:03.500 celebrity industry
00:39:04.260 for himself.
00:39:05.300 And then he was
00:39:06.040 accepted to Harvard
00:39:06.860 basically just on the basis
00:39:09.860 of going on TV
00:39:10.860 a lot after a school shooting.
00:39:12.560 And he's become
00:39:13.640 a sort of poster child
00:39:15.300 for really simplistic
00:39:17.640 platitudinous
00:39:19.520 liberal slogans.
00:39:20.720 So David Hogg
00:39:21.600 tweeted out something yesterday
00:39:22.420 that was really sad.
00:39:23.880 I'm not mentioning this
00:39:24.840 to dunk on David Hogg.
00:39:25.880 I'm on a mission of mercy
00:39:26.880 to try to help
00:39:27.460 this poor kid.
00:39:28.460 He tweets out,
00:39:29.060 I'm never planning
00:39:32.460 on having kids.
00:39:33.920 I would much rather
00:39:34.780 own a Porsche
00:39:35.600 and have a Portuguese
00:39:36.800 water dog
00:39:37.560 and golden doodle.
00:39:38.880 Long term,
00:39:39.500 it's cheaper,
00:39:40.580 better for the environment
00:39:41.500 and will never tell you
00:39:42.580 that it hates you
00:39:43.500 or ask you to pay
00:39:44.900 for college.
00:39:47.960 Brutal.
00:39:48.560 Now,
00:39:48.920 the immediate conservative
00:39:49.780 response to this,
00:39:50.540 I noticed a lot of people
00:39:51.460 in the comments section,
00:39:53.160 they said,
00:39:54.180 great.
00:39:55.220 Thanks, bro.
00:39:56.060 Please don't procreate.
00:39:57.480 We don't need
00:39:58.060 any more David Hogg.
00:39:58.820 I don't think
00:39:59.500 that's charitable
00:40:00.000 and I don't think
00:40:00.420 it's the right thing
00:40:00.800 to say
00:40:01.040 and I actually
00:40:01.380 don't think
00:40:01.640 it's even
00:40:01.920 the right way
00:40:03.300 to think about politics.
00:40:05.460 We are not going
00:40:06.460 to get a more
00:40:07.020 conservative country
00:40:07.920 by encouraging
00:40:08.940 the libs
00:40:09.580 to become
00:40:12.100 even more liberal
00:40:12.980 and self-centered
00:40:15.260 and engaging
00:40:17.060 and disregarding
00:40:18.600 marriage
00:40:18.920 and disregarding
00:40:19.480 having children,
00:40:20.160 disregarding
00:40:20.580 creating community
00:40:21.100 structures.
00:40:21.480 That's actually
00:40:21.820 not going to work
00:40:22.640 because yes,
00:40:23.480 maybe this guy
00:40:24.020 won't have kids
00:40:24.720 but
00:40:25.540 he's going
00:40:26.880 to
00:40:27.320 it's going
00:40:28.660 to shape
00:40:29.100 the way
00:40:29.380 that the political
00:40:29.940 community views
00:40:30.540 itself
00:40:30.820 and over time
00:40:31.260 it's going
00:40:31.460 to make
00:40:31.600 the country
00:40:31.900 more liberal
00:40:32.400 even if he
00:40:33.160 doesn't have kids.
00:40:34.780 We're actually
00:40:35.360 not going
00:40:35.920 to outbreed them
00:40:36.880 I don't think.
00:40:38.080 Okay,
00:40:38.340 but furthermore
00:40:39.240 this is really
00:40:41.140 this is sad
00:40:42.220 because it's not
00:40:44.460 even that he's
00:40:44.860 saying I'm not
00:40:45.300 going to have kids
00:40:45.860 and I've got
00:40:46.220 some higher purpose.
00:40:47.400 He's not saying
00:40:47.900 that I don't think
00:40:48.560 the kids are for
00:40:49.100 everybody.
00:40:49.540 I don't think
00:40:49.800 that marriage
00:40:50.100 is for everybody
00:40:50.740 but you do need
00:40:52.420 a higher purpose.
00:40:54.040 You really should
00:40:55.380 not live for brunch.
00:40:56.780 Living for brunch
00:40:57.660 is a dead end.
00:40:58.600 It's going to make
00:40:58.980 you completely miserable
00:40:59.840 and so many of my
00:41:00.920 millennial and
00:41:01.560 Zoomer friends
00:41:02.060 are doing it
00:41:02.660 and they are
00:41:03.300 miserable as a
00:41:03.960 result of it
00:41:04.340 and I can see it
00:41:04.720 with my own two eyes.
00:41:06.200 What's he say?
00:41:06.700 He doesn't say
00:41:07.160 I don't want to have
00:41:07.820 kids because I want
00:41:08.420 to join the clergy.
00:41:10.900 I want to become
00:41:11.640 a missionary.
00:41:12.620 No, he's saying
00:41:13.900 I want to have
00:41:15.460 a nice car
00:41:16.120 and some fun little
00:41:17.880 want to have some
00:41:18.740 fun little
00:41:19.320 dogs
00:41:19.940 and I fear
00:41:22.760 that if I have
00:41:24.180 a child
00:41:24.560 I will love
00:41:25.080 that child
00:41:25.540 and that child
00:41:26.000 will let me down
00:41:26.680 so I feel suffering
00:41:27.600 at the hands
00:41:27.980 of people I love
00:41:28.620 so I'm not going
00:41:29.080 to engage in love
00:41:29.700 in the first place
00:41:30.820 and I fear
00:41:31.880 losing my money
00:41:32.600 because I don't
00:41:33.380 want to have
00:41:33.640 to pay for college.
00:41:35.060 Bro, I get it.
00:41:36.440 I get it.
00:41:37.820 I know that it
00:41:38.480 I understand
00:41:39.800 that point of view
00:41:40.640 and especially
00:41:41.800 if you're an atheist
00:41:42.520 and you don't think
00:41:43.180 there's any real
00:41:43.700 meaning to life
00:41:44.320 and you think
00:41:44.660 we're all just
00:41:44.980 kind of sacks of meat
00:41:45.940 stumbling around
00:41:46.980 until we die
00:41:47.800 and turn to
00:41:48.320 worm food
00:41:49.320 and take a dirt
00:41:49.700 nap
00:41:49.960 that you could
00:41:50.820 think that the
00:41:51.460 purpose of life
00:41:52.100 is just to
00:41:52.820 give yourself
00:41:53.940 as much
00:41:54.640 pleasure
00:41:55.540 in a really
00:41:57.180 shallow understanding
00:41:58.140 of pleasure
00:41:58.620 as you can
00:41:59.520 but that ain't it
00:42:00.880 man.
00:42:01.760 C.S. Lewis
00:42:02.100 talks about this.
00:42:03.200 He says
00:42:03.600 on the subject
00:42:05.400 of shallow pleasure
00:42:06.300 versus deeper pleasure
00:42:07.640 he says
00:42:08.420 he says
00:42:08.440 for a little child
00:42:10.520 the little child
00:42:11.200 cannot imagine
00:42:12.000 anything more
00:42:13.540 wonderful
00:42:14.300 and enjoyable
00:42:15.040 than chocolate
00:42:15.900 and if you
00:42:18.260 mentioned sex
00:42:19.360 to a child
00:42:19.980 which the libs
00:42:20.620 I guess are doing
00:42:21.080 these days
00:42:21.440 but if you were
00:42:22.100 to mention sex
00:42:22.700 to a child
00:42:23.220 the child
00:42:24.040 wouldn't get it
00:42:24.500 and you'd say
00:42:24.660 actually sex
00:42:25.260 is more enjoyable
00:42:26.320 and pleasurable
00:42:26.800 than chocolate
00:42:27.340 the child
00:42:28.560 couldn't fathom that
00:42:29.940 because the child's
00:42:30.880 frame of reference
00:42:31.880 is only that chocolate
00:42:32.920 is the greatest thing ever
00:42:33.800 the child might
00:42:34.480 actually think
00:42:35.040 huh
00:42:35.300 well I wonder
00:42:36.540 if sex involves
00:42:37.200 eating chocolate bars
00:42:37.900 because it's the only
00:42:39.300 but actually
00:42:39.760 there are things
00:42:40.440 that are higher
00:42:40.800 and although
00:42:41.820 now modern libs
00:42:42.900 seem to think
00:42:43.320 that sexual pleasure
00:42:44.500 with random people
00:42:45.740 is the highest
00:42:46.300 possible form
00:42:47.740 of pleasure
00:42:48.100 it's not
00:42:48.720 there are much
00:42:49.840 higher pleasures
00:42:50.960 like family
00:42:52.680 which involves
00:42:53.560 you actually
00:42:54.240 reducing the amount
00:42:55.880 of sex
00:42:56.220 that you can have
00:42:56.820 with random people
00:42:57.820 you're actually
00:42:58.160 probably increasing
00:42:58.800 the total amount
00:42:59.320 of sex you're having
00:42:59.920 because you have
00:43:00.800 a wife who likes you
00:43:02.340 and will probably
00:43:03.100 feel some kind
00:43:03.580 of nagging obligation
00:43:04.440 to indulge you
00:43:05.340 every now and again
00:43:05.860 so you can
00:43:06.920 it will
00:43:08.840 it will limit you
00:43:10.020 in some ways
00:43:10.640 but it will open you up
00:43:11.800 yes it's true
00:43:12.440 I love sleeping
00:43:13.700 I don't get to sleep
00:43:14.520 very much now
00:43:15.120 I love going out
00:43:16.480 with my friends
00:43:17.000 and having cigars
00:43:17.540 and drinks
00:43:17.880 I don't get to do that
00:43:18.620 nearly as much
00:43:19.320 as I once did
00:43:20.020 why not
00:43:20.940 because I
00:43:22.020 I have to stay home
00:43:23.520 and see my children
00:43:24.560 but it's not that
00:43:26.560 I get to stay home
00:43:27.640 and see my children
00:43:28.260 the joy
00:43:29.440 while my child
00:43:30.600 is having a complete
00:43:31.480 meltdown
00:43:32.160 and he's throwing
00:43:33.360 gooey
00:43:34.140 disgusting
00:43:34.800 food all over the place
00:43:36.780 and there's a mess
00:43:37.460 everywhere
00:43:37.900 and he's screaming
00:43:38.720 and the other baby
00:43:39.380 starts crying
00:43:40.020 and the anxiety
00:43:41.820 that that induces
00:43:42.620 and then I just look over
00:43:43.880 at my little kid
00:43:44.660 and I see his cute
00:43:46.040 little chubby little cheeks
00:43:47.120 his little 19 month
00:43:48.720 old baby cheeks
00:43:49.320 and he does a little
00:43:49.820 kind of like
00:43:50.300 a little smile
00:43:50.980 at daddy
00:43:51.460 it is a joy
00:43:53.160 that it is so sublime
00:43:54.920 it's so
00:43:55.620 unfathomable
00:43:57.620 when you're
00:43:58.220 a kind of glib
00:43:59.240 lib
00:44:00.520 just living
00:44:01.440 for your own
00:44:02.020 pleasure
00:44:02.480 that I know
00:44:03.560 I can't actually
00:44:04.620 articulate
00:44:05.040 how great it is
00:44:05.880 but I promise
00:44:07.180 I promise you
00:44:07.800 David Hogg
00:44:08.460 I promise you
00:44:09.560 shallow glib libs
00:44:11.540 there are higher
00:44:12.960 things here
00:44:13.600 there are higher
00:44:14.360 things beyond
00:44:15.440 your own
00:44:15.960 basest desires
00:44:17.500 and appetites
00:44:19.000 and
00:44:19.700 and
00:44:20.720 supposed
00:44:21.960 self interest
00:44:23.220 but actually
00:44:23.960 your
00:44:24.200 things that you
00:44:25.500 are pursuing today
00:44:26.160 as your self interest
00:44:26.740 really will not
00:44:27.580 make you happy
00:44:28.200 in the long run
00:44:29.260 it's not making
00:44:30.400 people happy now
00:44:31.020 there's a study
00:44:32.100 that just came out
00:44:32.620 of Harvard
00:44:33.060 surprising to
00:44:34.900 everyone
00:44:35.480 in the liberal
00:44:36.920 establishment
00:44:37.520 not surprising at
00:44:38.600 all
00:44:39.020 to
00:44:39.720 normal people
00:44:41.360 young people
00:44:42.560 are miserable
00:44:43.680 they are totally
00:44:44.840 freaking miserable
00:44:45.900 okay
00:44:47.020 and Harvard
00:44:47.860 can't make sense of it
00:44:48.540 why are young people
00:44:49.440 so miserable
00:44:50.020 quote according
00:44:51.060 to every dimension
00:44:52.240 of well-being
00:44:52.840 that we looked at
00:44:53.640 happiness
00:44:54.020 health
00:44:54.480 meaning
00:44:54.900 character
00:44:55.540 relationships
00:44:56.240 financial stability
00:44:57.200 those who are
00:44:58.280 18 to 25
00:44:59.540 felt they were
00:45:00.680 worse off
00:45:02.140 this according
00:45:03.960 to Tyler
00:45:04.480 Vanderweel
00:45:05.100 who conducted
00:45:05.920 the study
00:45:06.440 they're worse
00:45:08.120 off
00:45:08.540 according to
00:45:09.020 it would
00:45:09.680 it would make
00:45:10.200 sense that
00:45:10.660 young people
00:45:11.440 are
00:45:12.240 have lower
00:45:14.340 reports of
00:45:15.360 happiness
00:45:15.820 according to
00:45:16.960 certain metrics
00:45:18.160 maybe than
00:45:18.760 certain financial
00:45:19.540 stability maybe
00:45:20.200 although I guess
00:45:20.600 young people
00:45:21.080 depending on
00:45:23.540 the family structure
00:45:24.220 young people
00:45:24.700 might feel
00:45:25.080 especially financially
00:45:25.880 stable because
00:45:26.380 they're still
00:45:26.720 relying on
00:45:27.160 their parents
00:45:27.500 for certain
00:45:27.840 things
00:45:28.060 but yes
00:45:28.880 certain criteria
00:45:29.960 you could
00:45:30.340 maybe expect
00:45:31.160 them to be
00:45:31.480 a little less
00:45:32.080 happy
00:45:32.780 maybe than
00:45:33.420 others
00:45:33.660 but everything
00:45:35.900 social relationships
00:45:37.700 that when you're
00:45:38.180 young that's supposed
00:45:38.780 to be when you're
00:45:39.140 most connected
00:45:39.760 when you're seeing
00:45:40.200 so many people
00:45:41.400 it's only when you
00:45:42.040 get old that you
00:45:42.600 kind of stop
00:45:43.100 making time to
00:45:43.740 see your friends
00:45:44.280 and you become
00:45:44.700 more isolated
00:45:45.200 and your friends
00:45:45.580 die
00:45:45.800 why are young
00:45:46.900 people miserable
00:45:47.520 on every
00:45:48.760 metric
00:45:50.360 we've been told
00:45:52.180 that all of the
00:45:52.780 progressive advances
00:45:53.700 in society
00:45:54.240 are supposed to
00:45:54.680 make us all
00:45:55.080 happier
00:45:55.480 but they have
00:45:58.300 you could point
00:45:59.520 to pretty much
00:46:00.040 anything that
00:46:00.720 has changed
00:46:01.340 in the last
00:46:02.580 30-50 years
00:46:03.960 and you could
00:46:05.420 say that is
00:46:06.020 playing a role
00:46:06.520 in it
00:46:06.820 technology
00:46:07.980 isolating us
00:46:08.780 from real life
00:46:09.360 we're told
00:46:09.720 that when we
00:46:10.060 get to live
00:46:10.380 in the metaverse
00:46:10.900 that's so
00:46:11.280 wonderful
00:46:11.580 and cool
00:46:11.940 and hip
00:46:12.220 and no
00:46:12.560 it's not
00:46:12.860 we're human
00:46:13.600 beings
00:46:13.820 we need
00:46:14.160 to see
00:46:14.600 one another
00:46:14.940 we need
00:46:15.140 to touch
00:46:15.400 one another
00:46:15.820 that's why
00:46:16.940 during COVID
00:46:17.420 when people
00:46:18.280 were hugging
00:46:18.740 through cellophane
00:46:19.440 wrappers
00:46:19.780 that was so
00:46:20.600 inhuman
00:46:21.100 we need
00:46:22.400 and zooming
00:46:23.220 everywhere
00:46:23.760 we need
00:46:24.280 to see
00:46:24.620 one another
00:46:24.960 we're incarnate
00:46:25.600 creatures
00:46:25.860 we have bodies
00:46:26.460 family life
00:46:28.440 we're told
00:46:29.060 it's super cool
00:46:29.620 now abandon
00:46:30.100 your family
00:46:30.680 don't get married
00:46:31.580 don't have kids
00:46:32.380 you're gonna be so happy
00:46:33.040 because you'll get
00:46:33.400 to go to brunch
00:46:33.920 in whatever city
00:46:34.520 you're in this weekend
00:46:35.220 doesn't make people
00:46:36.740 happy
00:46:37.100 and then of course
00:46:38.360 the core of it
00:46:40.200 is religion
00:46:40.800 as religion
00:46:41.580 has declined
00:46:42.280 people have become
00:46:43.100 miserable
00:46:43.460 and it is a direct
00:46:44.400 one-to-one
00:46:45.500 ratio
00:46:46.360 you might be an
00:46:47.060 atheist
00:46:47.320 you might be an
00:46:48.220 agnostic
00:46:48.680 you might not
00:46:50.300 even get it
00:46:50.880 but I think
00:46:51.380 you know
00:46:51.640 I'm right
00:46:52.020 I think
00:46:53.060 you know
00:46:53.320 there's this
00:46:53.680 weird connection
00:46:54.500 between the two
00:46:55.160 okay
00:46:56.100 speaking of
00:46:59.760 following one's
00:47:01.540 bliss
00:47:01.920 there's a story
00:47:03.840 you know
00:47:04.040 I'm gonna get
00:47:04.420 to this tomorrow
00:47:04.940 I'm just gonna
00:47:05.300 tease it right now
00:47:06.120 I'm gonna get
00:47:06.420 to this story
00:47:06.800 tomorrow though
00:47:07.360 this is very
00:47:08.260 politically incorrect
00:47:09.040 John Boyega
00:47:09.780 who is the actor
00:47:11.760 from the new
00:47:12.620 Star Wars movies
00:47:13.360 I think
00:47:13.800 I'm sure he's been
00:47:14.320 in other stuff
00:47:14.800 he just told
00:47:15.940 GQ magazine
00:47:16.840 that he only
00:47:18.560 dates
00:47:19.000 black
00:47:19.880 women
00:47:20.820 he said
00:47:21.480 I only
00:47:21.720 date
00:47:21.880 I actually
00:47:22.140 don't know
00:47:22.380 if he's gay
00:47:22.780 or straight
00:47:23.240 he stays
00:47:23.720 very confusing
00:47:24.280 but whatever
00:47:25.480 his views
00:47:25.920 he says
00:47:26.700 or his preferences
00:47:27.960 rather
00:47:28.220 he says
00:47:28.520 I only date
00:47:29.100 black
00:47:29.500 then it's about
00:47:30.660 chemistry
00:47:30.980 personality
00:47:31.540 goals
00:47:31.900 is there
00:47:32.180 synergy
00:47:32.600 can I help
00:47:33.520 you
00:47:33.700 can you help
00:47:34.200 me
00:47:34.580 not exactly
00:47:36.420 a great way
00:47:36.840 to think
00:47:37.060 about love
00:47:37.360 affairs
00:47:37.640 but okay
00:47:38.180 he's like
00:47:38.380 I'm very
00:47:38.840 disciplined
00:47:39.200 to the type
00:47:39.580 of women
00:47:39.840 I speak
00:47:40.200 to
00:47:40.500 and then
00:47:42.640 he got
00:47:42.840 in big
00:47:43.060 trouble
00:47:43.260 because he
00:47:43.500 says he
00:47:43.760 only dates
00:47:44.120 black
00:47:44.360 people
00:47:44.620 and they
00:47:44.820 say
00:47:44.920 this is
00:47:45.360 some are
00:47:46.020 saying
00:47:46.180 this is
00:47:46.460 racist
00:47:46.980 some are
00:47:47.520 saying
00:47:47.620 it's not
00:47:47.920 racist
00:47:48.240 because black
00:47:48.600 people can't
00:47:49.060 be racist
00:47:49.620 we will get
00:47:50.420 to what I
00:47:51.440 think about
00:47:51.800 John Boyega
00:47:52.480 we will get
00:47:53.460 to what I
00:47:53.820 think about
00:47:54.180 only dating
00:47:54.640 black ladies
00:47:55.260 tomorrow
00:47:56.420 for now
00:47:56.840 though
00:47:57.000 we've got
00:47:57.360 to get
00:47:57.600 to the
00:47:57.960 member
00:47:58.180 block
00:47:58.520 you know
00:47:59.180 some people
00:47:59.500 get upset
00:47:59.900 about the
00:48:00.380 things that
00:48:00.660 I say
00:48:00.940 they're
00:48:01.120 completely
00:48:01.520 common sense
00:48:02.180 and reasonable
00:48:02.740 and then
00:48:04.220 they get
00:48:04.480 really upset
00:48:04.920 and start
00:48:05.240 pulling their
00:48:05.600 hair out
00:48:05.880 there's one
00:48:06.340 such young
00:48:07.040 man
00:48:07.260 he is
00:48:08.660 a TikToker
00:48:09.440 he's got
00:48:10.200 hundreds of
00:48:10.580 thousands of
00:48:10.960 followers on
00:48:11.420 TikTok
00:48:11.720 and I don't
00:48:13.420 go on
00:48:14.020 TikTok
00:48:14.260 but one of
00:48:14.720 my producers
00:48:15.140 told me
00:48:15.600 he just posted
00:48:16.200 a video
00:48:16.620 where he's
00:48:17.140 very very
00:48:17.700 angry with me
00:48:18.440 and he's
00:48:19.000 debunking
00:48:19.640 all of my
00:48:20.260 horrible
00:48:20.700 terrible claims
00:48:21.400 with facts
00:48:21.780 and logic
00:48:22.280 apparently it's
00:48:23.240 because I was
00:48:23.740 criticizing those
00:48:24.580 cartoon lesbian
00:48:25.840 pigs for the
00:48:26.920 children's show
00:48:27.560 so anyway
00:48:28.040 we'll get to that
00:48:28.560 in a second
00:48:28.900 the rest of the
00:48:29.280 show is continuing
00:48:29.800 now you don't
00:48:30.260 want to miss it
00:48:30.800 if you're not
00:48:31.540 a member
00:48:31.760 click the link
00:48:32.300 in the description
00:48:32.840 and join us
00:48:33.600 we will see you
00:48:34.340 at the member
00:48:35.180 block
00:48:44.020 the next
00:48:48.560 oh
00:48:49.420 you
00:48:52.200 do
00:48:52.520 on
00:48:53.520 the
00:48:54.460 the
00:48:54.780 the
00:48:57.360 the
00:48:58.020 the
00:48:59.340 the

00:49:05.060 the
00:49:06.940 the
00:49:10.820 the
