00:00:00.000 The only political group on the right that is winning right now is moms. It's not the GOP
00:00:05.840 congressman. It's certainly not the GOP senators. Those losers are selling our whole political
00:00:10.760 order down the river, as they made perfectly clear yesterday. We'll get to that in just a minute.
00:00:15.400 Those guys are useless. No. The only political group on the right, right now, that is scoring
00:00:20.140 wins is moms at school boards. Listen to this. The Berkeley County School District in South
00:00:25.860 Carolina just swore in its new school board members who were elected last week, six of
00:00:31.700 whom were endorsed by the conservative group Moms for Liberty. Within two hours, the new
00:00:37.780 members replaced the board chairman with a solid conservative, fired the district's woke
00:00:42.620 superintendent, fired the district's woke lawyer, banned critical race theory from the curricula,
00:00:47.840 and set up a committee to round up all the idiotic and pornographic books from the school
00:00:52.020 libraries and ban them. Two hours. Imagine what they could do in two weeks, two months,
00:00:59.540 two years, two decades. That's vision. That's courage. That is the right way to wield political
00:01:07.060 power. I only want to know two things. One, when can we send these Moms for Liberty candidates
00:01:12.960 to Washington? And two, where can I donate? I'm Michael Knowles. This is The Michael Knowles Show.
00:01:22.020 Welcome back to the show. My favorite comment yesterday is from Benjamin Waddell, who says,
00:01:30.400 this was a tremendously intelligent and remarkably easy to watch members block. Thank you for bringing
00:01:36.060 on such captivating panelists. Oh yeah, Benjamin, do you enjoy when I bring supermodels on the member
00:01:41.500 block? If you're not a Daily Wire Plus member and you're not getting that member block, you really
00:01:45.480 missed a great one yesterday where we debated why hot women like Pete Davidson. And actually,
00:01:51.140 my real favorite comment from yesterday was not from YouTube. It was from the members block.
00:01:56.120 I forget who said it, but someone said that Pete Davidson looks like a wet cigarette.
00:02:01.320 And that really sounded true to me. That really struck a chord. So you got to join. You got to
00:02:07.560 become a member. We've got great members block content coming up today as we do every single day.
00:02:13.220 And then it just gives you something to talk about with your friends and your family. And when you want
00:02:17.220 to talk to them, you got to check out Pure Talk. Right now, head on over to puretalk.com. Enter code

00:02:35.080 you can get talk, text, and data that is just as fast for just $30 per month. Those other guys are
00:02:40.700 making you pay for thousands of retail stores that you don't go to, perks that you don't use,
00:02:45.900 and massive profits to keep their shareholders happy. Pure Talk, on the other hand, wants to keep
00:02:51.420 you happy, which is why they've invested in a U.S.-based customer service team. It's also why they give
00:02:56.840 you so many more data options. Why would they charge you for data that you don't need? I switched to
00:03:02.720 Pure Talk. I love it. I love supporting veteran-owned U.S.-based companies that have our best interests

00:03:28.140 stuff from the Moms for Liberty and the Berkeley County School District in South Carolina. But you're
00:03:34.960 seeing this around the country. There was another mother. She just showed up to a school board meeting
00:03:38.860 in Texas. She showed up to this school board meeting, and she just read from a book that is
00:03:45.140 in the school library. Listener discretion advised, if your kids are listening right now,
00:03:51.340 maybe just skip ahead 30 seconds or a minute. Listen to the way that the board reacts to the
00:03:58.000 book that is in the school library.
00:04:00.140 What we fill our minds with matters. Consider that as I read this from a current library book.
00:04:06.280 This one couple stumbled into my room and asked if they could use the room anyway with me still in it.
00:04:11.060 They closed the door and started kissing. After a few minutes, the boy's hand went up the girl's
00:04:16.000 shirt, and she started protesting. Pretty soon, he took off her bra and started to kiss her breasts.
00:04:21.080 And then he put his hand down her pants, and she started moaning. He reached to take off her pants,
00:04:26.400 but she started crying really hard. So he reached for his own. He pulled his pants and underwear down
00:04:32.060 to his knees. Please, Dave, no. But the boy just talked soft to her about how good she looked,
00:04:37.880 and she grabbed his breasts with her hands and started moving it. The boy pushed the girl's head
00:04:42.660 down, and she started to kiss his breasts. She was still crying. Finally, she stopped crying
00:04:48.120 because he put his p***s in her m***h, and I don't think you can cry in that position.
00:04:52.860 I ask you why this book has survived two attempts.
00:04:55.920 Your time is up. Thank you so much. And there's a child in our boardroom,
00:04:59.600 so I'd like for you to please stop reading that.
00:05:03.820 Did you see the child? Okay. Then your time is up. Thank you.
00:05:09.660 So they cut off her microphone so you can't hear her response, but you can hear the people
00:05:13.180 laughing in the audience. She says, excuse me, ma'am, there's a child here.
00:05:17.120 You need to stop reading from the books in our school library. There's a child here.
00:05:21.660 You hear the audience say, yeah, right, that's the point. The mother's there. She goes, no,
00:05:24.940 I didn't see the child, but that's the point. What are you talking about? Ma'am, that's very
00:05:29.300 pornographic and obscene and not appropriate for children. Stop reading the books that we put in
00:05:33.480 our libraries out loud. Don't read the books that we're teaching your kids. No, the real reason that
00:05:40.160 the school board doesn't want that mother to read the book is not because a child might hear it.
00:05:43.960 It's because the other parents might hear it. And the other parents might realize what insane
00:05:48.500 radicals are running the schools. So this is good stuff. It's good when the parents come out there
00:05:55.020 and expose this stuff. It's good when the handful of people in the conservative media who will break
00:06:02.060 through that kind of mainstream gatekeeper and actually tell you what's really going on. It's
00:06:06.720 good when that happens to expose these things. That can't be the end of the story.
00:06:10.820 The end of the story cannot be, look at how crazy the left is. Wow, they're hypocrites.
00:06:17.760 They, those guys, man, they're bad. They say that they're good, but they're really bad.
00:06:22.580 That can't be the end of the story. The end of the story has to be, yeah, it's bad. We've exposed
00:06:27.040 the problem. We see the problem. After that diagnosis, we need to take action, okay?
00:06:33.900 Okay. The, the, the end of the story has to be, we elect new school board members and they
00:06:41.300 immediately fly into action, fire the crazy teachers, fire the superintendent, fire the
00:06:47.900 chairman of the school board, kick all of them out and start banning these pornographic books from
00:06:52.160 schools. You have to do stuff. And the libs aren't going to like that. And the libs are going to try to,
00:06:58.900 try to convince the conservatives that actually it's not very conservative to actually do anything.
00:07:03.500 This is what happened for the past 20 or so years on the right is that the libs convinced the,
00:07:09.300 the right to adopt this kind of weird libertarian kind of shallow ethos where the conservatives
00:07:16.940 convinced themselves that doing anything in politics is somehow immoral or unprincipled.
00:07:22.180 Well, it would be, you know, if we do anything, then that would make us no different from the left.
00:07:27.340 The left, you see, puts a bunch of weird porn in schools. But if we take the weird porn out of
00:07:32.840 schools, we're no different than the left. No, we're totally different. That's the opposite,
00:07:36.080 actually. You're saying if we wield political power, we're no different from the left? No,
00:07:41.620 I guess we would be, we would be similar to the left in that we would be actually participating in
00:07:47.800 politics, but we would be the opposite of the left because we would be doing the opposite things.
00:07:53.740 They want to make our country worse. We want to make our country better.
00:07:57.340 They want to peddle falsehood. We want to peddle the truth. We want to reveal the truth and inculcate
00:08:02.940 the truth in the minds, especially of young children. This is why education has become such
00:08:09.160 a flashpoint because for years, the conservatives, we threw up our hands. We retreated from the public
00:08:15.500 square. We said, well, you know, I don't, I, you do you, but I don't, I'm out of here. Okay. I'm just
00:08:20.020 going to go off to my own little Island and that's not going to work because that just gives the
00:08:23.760 political space all over to the left. So now conservatives have woken up. This occurred
00:08:29.460 during the Trump years. This was really one of the consequences of the new Trumpian approach to
00:08:34.020 politics, which is not really new at all. It's actually a reversion to the old right. It's a
00:08:40.360 reversion to how conservatives rightly understood politics to be until about 20, 25 years ago.
00:08:45.420 And, and the moms started showing up to the school boards and then the moms started electing people.
00:08:51.760 And then the moms are the reason why Glenn Youngkin became the Republican governor of Virginia.
00:08:56.340 And the moms are the reason why Ron DeSantis has been so successful in Florida. And what is one,
00:09:01.880 one of Ron DeSantis' greatest pieces of legislation he's passed? It's the Stop Woke Act. The Stop
00:09:09.620 Woke Act, which says, no, we are going to have standards. We are going to have norms. We're going to
00:09:14.520 give parents rights in education. We're not going to let these radicals just poison the minds of
00:09:20.540 children. And so now the libs are relying not on the people. The people love the Stop Woke Act. The
00:09:27.700 people hate it when the radicals try to poison our kids' brains with weird race stuff and transgenderism
00:09:33.400 and all the rest of it. So now the left is relying on the judges and the judge, the judges are trying to
00:09:37.900 stop the parents from having a say over their kids' education. This is what a chief U.S. district
00:09:44.220 judge, Mark Walker, just said as he issued a preliminary injunction to stop the Stop
00:09:50.360 Woke Act. Stop Woke, by the way, refers to stop wrongs to our kids and employees. Politicians love
00:09:58.260 a good initialism. They do, or a good acronym. So this is what the judge had to say about it.
00:10:05.820 The judge says that lacking explicit standards to circumscribe enforcement of objectivity,
00:10:14.100 defendants can weaponize this term to further discredit the eight concepts in the marketplace
00:10:19.080 of ideas, which now permits endorsement of only one side of the debate. Accordingly,
00:10:24.240 because this objectivity savings clause commands the entire statute, the IFA, this is another way to
00:10:30.160 refer to the Stop Woke Act as the Individual Freedom Act, is impermissibly vague on its face in violation
00:10:35.540 of the Due Process Clause of the 14th Amendment. Let me translate that gobbledygook into English for
00:10:40.520 you. The judge is saying that by kicking radicalism and transgenderism and critical race theory and all
00:10:51.140 this nonsense out of our schools, that we're threatening the free marketplace of ideas.
00:10:56.280 Then we'll only have one side of the debates. Now, two problems with this. One,
00:11:02.500 would you describe classrooms today as a free marketplace of ideas where all sides are heard
00:11:08.900 and well represented? Or would you describe it as an ideological echo chamber where only leftism thrives?
00:11:17.620 Obviously, it's the latter. The idea that there is a free marketplace of ideas in our classrooms today
00:11:22.460 is completely preposterous. I don't think I need to explain myself. You've all seen the videos of me
00:11:27.620 and other people going to classrooms all around the country. You've been to school yourself. Your kids have
00:11:31.520 been to school. You understand what this means. But second of all, even if there were such a thing
00:11:37.840 as a free marketplace of ideas in classrooms, there really shouldn't be. Certainly not in elementary
00:11:44.160 schools or middle schools. Do you really believe a fourth grade classroom is supposed to be a free
00:11:49.060 marketplace of ideas where new scientific discoveries are being made? Of course not.
00:11:53.800 It's a place to learn your ABCs and two plus two equals four and boys are boys and girls are girls.
00:11:58.260 The problem is that these days, the kids in the schools are learning that two plus two equals five
00:12:01.960 and that little Johnny actually can be little Jane. Just don't tell your parents, head on down to the
00:12:06.660 guidance counselor and he's going to give you some puberty blockers. That's what's happening.
00:12:10.880 There, of course, there's no free marketplace of ideas. In early education, at the very least,
00:12:15.780 there is coercion to learn a certain set of facts. And if you get those facts wrong on your test,
00:12:23.000 you're going to get a bad grade and flunk out. That's what it really is. Even the justification
00:12:28.120 for a free marketplace of ideas is that, well, that will allow new discoveries to be made and advance
00:12:35.040 the human race. It's a dubious prospect in many cases. But let's say even that that were true.
00:12:41.040 Even if it were true, that's not happening in third grade. It's just complete nonsense from
00:12:47.040 the federal judge who is threatened, is feeling threatened that leftism is not going to have
00:12:53.420 its absolute establishment in the elementary schools and throughout education. It's really
00:13:00.580 not good. Because if you want to have a good education, if you want to cultivate the very best
00:13:06.160 in you, then you've got to put good stuff in. You've got to get good fuel, okay? You've got to
00:13:10.760 get good facts. You've got to get good literature. You've got to get good philosophy. That is going
00:13:14.260 to fuel your mind. Now, when you want to fuel a turkey fryer this Thanksgiving, you've got to get

00:14:37.620 To redeem it, that's cinch.com slash offer for details. Federal judge in Florida stopping
00:14:44.460 Ron DeSantis' Stop Woke Act by claiming it threatens the free marketplace of ideas that doesn't exist,
00:14:49.900 but also saying this. He says, one thing is crystal clear. Both robust intellectual inquiry
00:14:55.260 and democracy require light to thrive. Our professors are critical to a healthy democracy,
00:15:01.820 and the state of Florida's decision to choose which viewpoints are worthy of illumination and
00:15:06.160 which must remain in the shadows has implications for us all. If our priests of democracy are not
00:15:11.580 allowed to shed light on challenging ideas, then democracy will die in darkness. There's a federal
00:15:15.920 judge writing this nonsense. But the First Amendment does not permit the state of Florida
00:15:19.700 to muzzle its university professors, impose its own orthodoxy of viewpoints, and cast us all into the
00:15:26.020 dark. Hold on. The First Amendment does not permit the state of Florida to impose its own orthodoxy of
00:15:35.260 viewpoints on the priests of democracy, which is how the judge describes the professors. Do you see
00:15:45.900 the problem there? The judge is saying that the people of Florida, the people as represented by the
00:15:55.560 state, have no right to have their own moral views. They have no right to impose that orthodoxy into the
00:16:03.580 classroom, and by impose it means set the standards for the community that is going to be taught to the
00:16:08.340 children. Instead, the priests of democracy have that exclusive right to impose their
00:16:15.820 orthodoxy. So he's saying the people don't have the right to orthodoxy, to their beliefs. It's the
00:16:22.820 leftists. They're the only ones with the right to their orthodoxy, which is evil and wrong.
00:16:31.420 I just, anytime someone tells you leftism is not a religion, please quote them Judge Walker's opinion
00:16:37.480 on the Stop Woke Act. He is admitting it is a religion. The professors are the priests of that religion.
00:16:43.620 He then goes on to quote a slogan from a left-wing newspaper, the Washington Post.
00:16:50.060 Democracy will die in darkness. I mean, this is really sad stuff. Really sad stuff that a federal
00:16:56.840 judge has the intellect and education that stops at the level of popular newspaper slogans. Really
00:17:04.000 pathetic how far our country has fallen. But an important reminder that this is a religious battle.
00:17:10.760 And I know there's a lot of conservatives who say, I'm not all that religious. I'm sort of agnostic.
00:17:15.820 Oh, come on, enough with the religion talk. I didn't start the religion talk, okay? The religion
00:17:22.840 talk is all around politics because all human conflict is theological. It's the left that is
00:17:27.740 imposing the religion talk. The religion of leftism, the priests of which are the professors in the
00:17:34.800 universities and the teachers and all the rest of the apparatchiks in this hierarchy of the church
00:17:40.380 of leftism. And the only way to fight that bad religion is with good religion. Nature abhors a
00:17:48.700 vacuum. Man is fundamentally a religious being, okay? We have ultimate questions that we have to
00:17:54.440 answer that inevitably we are going to grapple with. What is death? What is judgment? Is there a heaven?
00:18:00.420 Is there a hell? What am I for? What is the good life? Who made me? What is life? Those are questions
00:18:08.040 that will not be answered by history or natural science or, I don't know, chemistry. They can't
00:18:18.680 be answered by those things. Those are questions that ultimately have to be answered by religion. And
00:18:23.860 they will either be answered by false religion, like the religion of Judge Walker here, or by true
00:18:28.040 religion, by Christianity, by the religion that animates and built our entire civilization. And
00:18:33.160 you've got to pick a side. If you stand in the middle of the road, you will be run over by a
00:18:37.080 truck. You're either with God or against God is what it ultimately comes down to, okay? And I think
00:18:43.920 the greatest trick the devil ever played is pretending that he doesn't exist. And for a long time,
00:18:49.600 the leftists have pretended that they're just secular. You know, they're just secular. They don't have,
00:18:54.560 this religion stuff, that's all hooey from the dark ages or whatever. No, they're admitting it.
00:18:58.660 They're admitting that they have a religion. So you're either going to be part of their religion
00:19:02.100 or you're going to be part of true religion. I advise you to choose wisely. So meanwhile,
00:19:09.880 as the Libs' awful sort of religion of leftism takes over, unfortunately, I'm sorry to say,
00:19:18.220 many so-called conservatives are going along with it. This was so pathetic yesterday.
00:19:22.180 Okay. Democrats in Congress just proposed a further destruction of the family.
00:19:32.540 The family has been very weakened. It's been weakened for 60 years now. The left has done
00:19:38.140 everything it can to weaken the family. Now they're trying to deal a death blow. And that
00:19:43.260 would be through something they euphemistically call the Respect for Marriage Act. The Respect for
00:19:48.140 Marriage Act would codify the Obergefell decision, which invents a new definition of marriage,
00:19:53.860 completely contrary to the actual definition of marriage that has prevailed everywhere for all
00:19:57.600 of human history. And it would codify it and go further. It would prohibit businesses from
00:20:03.480 following their conscience, from being Christian or Jewish or Muslim. Though as a practical matter,
00:20:08.400 they will only enforce this against Christians. This sort of law would make Jack Phillips and
00:20:14.020 Masterpiece Cake Shop illegal. If you don't want to participate in a gay wedding, that will be
00:20:18.360 illegal now if you're a business. It's a radical, radical redefinition of the family, which is the
00:20:24.640 fundamental unit of society. So I'm not surprised that the Libs peddle this. They hate the family.
00:20:31.080 They hate society. And they want to destroy the country. But I am disgusted that conservatives would
00:20:37.500 go along with it. And a dozen of them did. These are the senators who went along with it. There were a
00:20:44.000 and then the senators yesterday went along with it to advance this legislation beyond the filibuster,
00:20:48.780 which puts it on a fast track to being passed. Roy Blunt, Richard Burr. So Roy Blunt from Missouri,
00:20:55.500 Richard Burr from North Carolina, Shelley Capito from West Virginia, Susan Collins from Maine,
00:21:01.040 Joni Ernst from Iowa, Cynthia Lummis from Wyoming. It's too bad. I actually like her. But horrible,
00:21:06.580 horrible judgment here. Lisa Murkowski from Alaska, Rob Portman from Ohio, and of course,
00:21:11.660 Mitt Romney from Utah. Absolutely pathetic. So these people, these conservatives can't conserve
00:21:19.820 anything. They can't conserve anything. We joke about how, oh, these conservatives, they can't even
00:21:25.100 conserve the women's bathroom. They can't conserve anything. They can't conserve the basic unit of
00:21:29.180 society. They just are Democrats. They just are liberals. And they're radical liberals. They're liberals
00:21:36.040 further to the left of Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton in 2011. Okay? That's how radical they are.
00:21:43.420 Really, really pathetic. What is marriage? A lot of people just don't understand this anymore.
00:21:48.620 Marriage is the lifelong communion of a husband and his wife for the good of the spouses and for the
00:21:56.580 sake of the generation and education of children. That's what marriage is. Well, why can't two people
00:22:03.540 who love each other just get married? Well, they can. But not all love is the same. And not all unions
00:22:11.260 are the same. I love my grandmother. I'm not going to marry my grandmother. I love my friends. I'm not
00:22:16.880 going to marry my friends. I love my co-workers. I'm not going to marry my co-workers. What is marriage?
00:22:24.000 Marriage cannot be redefined because marriage is not merely a social construct or a sort of political
00:22:29.660 contrivance. Marriage is a natural institution. This is defined by Aristotle, defined by St. Thomas
00:22:36.800 Aquinas as the natural state of man. Man is a pairing creature. We are connubial creatures, even more than
00:22:42.640 political creatures. And we are drawn to propagate the species with our spouse and to help one another.
00:22:50.020 And that's what marriage is. So you cannot redefine it. Sexual difference is at the very heart of
00:22:54.840 marriage. If you don't get that, you don't get anything as a conservative. If you cannot conserve
00:23:02.160 the natural institution, maybe one of the most fundamental aspects of human nature,
00:23:11.380 you can't conserve anything. So why did these people vote for it? Why did they vote for it?
00:23:18.560 I suspect some because they're just absolute disgraceful sellouts like Mitt Romney. But some
00:23:24.480 because they think, well, it's a lost cause. It's a lost cause. People support the redefinition
00:23:30.480 of marriage now. So Michael, give up. It's a lost cause. That's what they told us about abortion for
00:23:34.320 49 years. It's a lost cause. Give it up. Oh, come on. It's a lost cause.
00:23:38.400 And then it wasn't a lost cause. I've got some thoughts on lost causes. All right. But when you
00:23:45.900 want to protect yourself when things are looking really bad, you got to check out gold. You got
00:23:48.860 to check out birch gold. Right now, text Knowles to 989898. Inflation continues to bedevil our economy.
00:23:56.600 The Daily Wire reports that in less than two years, inflation has soared from 1.4% to 8.6%.

00:24:11.900 used cars up 16%. The current administration's irresponsible spending patterns, including Biden's
00:24:18.300 $1.9 trillion rescue plan, continue to exacerbate the problem. Now is not the time to have all your
00:24:26.000 money tied up in the stock market. Don't let your savings wither away. Hedge against inflation with

00:25:12.640 K-N-W-L-E-S, to 989898. One of the great Twitter people, D-E, at TK Dillon, made a great point. He said,
00:25:21.940 you got to talk about this on the show. It's a quote from T.S. Elliott on lost causes. And T.S.
00:25:27.220 Elliott writes, if we take the widest and wisest view of a cause, there is no such thing as a lost
00:25:33.460 cause because there is no such thing as a gained cause. We fight for lost causes because we know
00:25:38.580 that our defeat and dismay may be the preface to our successor's victory, though that victory itself
00:25:43.700 will be temporary. We fight rather to keep something alive than in the expectation that anything will
00:25:49.360 triumph. Of course, there's no such thing as a lost cause. We know this because when we win something,
00:25:55.600 we have to fight like hell to preserve it because we know that that thing that we won is on the brink
00:26:01.200 of decay at any given moment, on the brink of collapse. So if there are no one causes, there are no
00:26:07.920 lost causes. People say, well, move on. Who cares? It's just the definition of marriage.
00:26:13.560 It's kind of everything, isn't it? Why won't you just give this up and move on? Because if we cannot
00:26:19.580 preserve the fundamental political institution, we can't conserve anything at all. And the tax thing
00:26:26.260 doesn't matter. Immigration doesn't matter. I mean, kind of like nothing matters. If you fundamentally
00:26:34.020 reorder your society down to that atomic level, okay, then it's just a matter of time.
00:26:41.200 Do not do that. I think even for the conservatives who say, well, who cares about marriage? I'm not
00:26:46.780 with you on this one, Michael. You crazy religious people. You crazy Christians and Jews and Muslims
00:26:52.960 and everybody for all, and virtuous pagans and everybody for all of history. I just, come on,
00:26:58.460 I don't see it. Ask yourself, why don't you get it? Have a little bit of humility perhaps and ask
00:27:05.100 yourself, why is it that statistically every single person for all of history and 100% of the smart
00:27:12.780 people through all of history have thought that marriage means one thing until seven or so years
00:27:19.640 ago, including the leftists until about 11 years ago. And now I think that all those people were
00:27:27.100 wrong. Why? Why is it? And when people say, I just don't understand the issue of marriage. Well,
00:27:32.840 right, that's the problem. Then maybe have a little humility and do not take on a stance on this issue.
00:27:39.660 Do not destroy marriage until you understand why people thought the way they thought about it in
00:27:45.280 the first place. It's just Chesterton's fence. Before you, you walk into the middle of a field,
00:27:50.200 you see a fence. Fence appears to have no purpose. And you say, okay, I'm going to tear down that fence
00:27:55.880 because I don't know what it's there for. You've got to take a pause and say, hold on. It is not until
00:28:00.580 I figure out what it is there for that I will tear it down. Because I don't want to go into this
00:28:06.460 thing ignorantly and potentially destroy society, which is what the people have done.
00:28:10.240 Now, a little bit of good news, better news coming out of the House of Representatives.
00:28:13.280 Nancy Pelosi has just lost her gavel.
00:28:17.000 And with great confidence in our caucus, I will not seek re-election
00:28:21.340 to Democratic leadership in the next Congress.
00:28:26.300 Nancy Pelosi is out. I love that was a Daily Wire video of a superposition of Nancy Pelosi at a bar.
00:28:32.660 Well, see, Nancy, she's gone. So she's no longer going to be the Speaker of the House because she's
00:28:37.420 not in the majority anymore. And she is not going to run for House Minority Leader, which means,
00:28:42.480 in fact, she'll keep her seat in the House of Representatives. But Nancy Pelosi is done.
00:28:47.520 She is done as a major force in American politics. She held on for a very long time.
00:28:52.980 Now she is done. Now the Republicans are taking over. What are the Republicans going to do? Well,
00:28:59.760 we've got an announcement from Representative James Comer, a Republican from Kentucky,
00:29:02.880 who says they are going to waste no time getting to investigate Hunter and Joe Biden.
00:29:09.880 This is an investigation of Joe Biden, the President of the United States,
00:29:14.120 and why he lied to the American people about his knowledge and participation
00:29:17.060 in his family's international business schemes. National security interests require the committee
00:29:22.720 conduct investigation, and we will pursue all avenues, avenues that have long been ignored.
00:29:28.000 Committee Republicans have uncovered evidence of federal crimes committed by
00:29:32.200 and to the benefit of members of the President's family. These include
00:29:36.040 conspiracy or defrauding the United States, wire fraud, conspiracy to commit wire fraud,
00:29:43.680 violation of the Foreign Agents Registration Act, violations of the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act,
00:29:50.180 violations of the Trafficking Victims Protection Act, tax evasion, money laundering,
00:29:55.420 and conspiracy to commit money laundering. The Biden family's business dealings implicate a wide
00:30:01.760 range of criminality from human trafficking to potential violations of the Constitution.
00:30:08.060 In the 118th Congress, this committee will evaluate the status of Joe Biden's relationship
00:30:12.020 with his family's foreign partners and whether he is a president who is compromised
00:30:15.220 or swayed by foreign dollars and influence. I want to be clear. This is an investigation of Joe Biden.
00:30:22.940 Okay, so I like the way he frames this. He says, this is not just an investigation
00:30:29.000 of Hunter Biden, who nobody really cares about, but it's an investigation of Joe Biden, right?
00:30:34.700 We see on Hunter Biden's laptop, he says 10% goes to the big guy. So is Hunter just off there on his
00:30:39.220 own, making a bunch of money without any knowledge of his father, trading on his father's name,
00:30:44.060 getting his father to potentially make some phone calls? Or is this corruption that implicates Joe?
00:30:50.000 I like it. I think it's important to investigate Hunter Biden. I think it's important to investigate
00:30:54.880 Anthony Fauci. I think it's, even though Fauci now is quitting so that he hopefully doesn't get
00:30:59.540 investigated. In his views, I hope he still does. We need to do all of this. However, I go back to
00:31:07.340 those Moms for Liberty-backed candidates at the school board. We need results. Okay, very often House
00:31:15.100 panels don't do anything. There's lots and lots of investigation, and it amounts to nothing. When
00:31:20.260 the Democrats do it, there's the January 6th investigation that's not going to do anything.
00:31:24.180 And then there's the Benghazi investigation, didn't do very much, and on and on and on.
00:31:29.960 We need results. Okay? If this investigation is not going to end in Joe Biden or people very close
00:31:39.340 to him in orange jumpsuits, then just don't do it. Then spend your time on other stuff.
00:31:46.620 It's very frustrating to me that we spend a ton of money sending people to Washington, D.C.
00:31:53.280 as conservatives, and they conserve basically nothing. And as we saw this week with the
00:31:57.940 Republicans in the Senate, they can't conserve even the basic fundamental political unit.
00:32:02.840 government. And then we spend very little money sending women to school boards. And then they
00:32:08.240 actually get things done that actually matter in Americans' lives and shape the minds of the next
00:32:13.600 generation. So when I'm looking at those two things, I'm thinking, okay, maybe I'm not going to write as
00:32:17.740 many checks to the Republicans in Congress who don't do anything anyway. And I am going to start
00:32:22.240 writing my checks to the school board candidates who are actually getting things done. We need
00:32:27.160 results. You know, Cyber Week is almost upon us, and you are in luck, okay? Because we have just

00:34:16.980 Hi, Michael. I just found out that I am having a boy. I'm pregnant with my first child and I am a
00:34:26.520 hairstylist, so I've been excitedly announcing that to people. But I had an encounter today where
00:34:33.060 one of my clients was less than thrilled about my news and she was telling me how we would have to
00:34:41.380 basically untrain my son from the patriarchy and how he was going to be privileged and just born
00:34:48.640 that way. And I feel like I didn't know what to say and I didn't really defend him and I feel like
00:34:56.560 maybe I should have. My husband said I did the right thing by not making a big encounter with someone who
00:35:02.600 I'm trying to be professional with. But I wondered if you had any thoughts about how to handle a situation
00:35:09.800 like that if it does come up in the future. Thanks so much. I think your instinct is probably more
00:35:16.340 correct than your husband's, but it depends on how the woman said it. Did the woman say,
00:35:22.100 oh, you're having a boy. Oh, you know, he's going to have that patriarchy. You're going to have to
00:35:26.580 train him to be a good little feminist. He he he. And then you can say, oh, he he he. I think he'll be
00:35:30.840 just fine. Don't worry. He he he. Tee he. And you can all be laughing. If the woman was more serious
00:35:36.400 about it, if the woman actually said, oh, a boy. And I know people like this. Oh, boy. It's too
00:35:41.880 bad you didn't have a girl. Boys are terrible. Oh, you're going to have a hard time. You're
00:35:45.500 going to have to train him. I would tell her to leave my shop. This is your kid. I mean,
00:35:49.020 your kid's alive, right? That's a real kid in there. It's not just an image of a kid. It's not
00:35:53.800 just a fantasy of a kid. It's a real kid in there. This is your real son. And that's fighting words
00:35:58.640 from this woman. So, you know, you'll have to use your judgment in how how this woman really
00:36:04.560 means it. But if she is really insulting your son, you know, I try to I try to keep it clean.
00:36:12.300 You know, I don't I don't I don't go blue too often, but I probably would in that case. I'd
00:36:16.040 probably have have a couple words for that lady that were not happy birthday. And I did the very
00:36:20.580 least tell her to leave my shop. If she's jokey jokey, then you can be jokey jokey, too. But
00:36:25.220 I would still be firm about it. Say, no, my kid will be just fine. Don't worry. And he's
00:36:29.140 going to grow. I'm going to train him in the patriarchy. And then he's going to grow up and
00:36:31.900 he's going to put feminists like you in their place. Actually, lady. See if she laughs
00:36:36.840 at that. Next question. Hi, Mr. Knowles. Thank you for being the best DW commentator
00:36:41.560 out there. My question for you is, is it possible to be anywhere as a conservative and be an emotional
00:36:48.500 person? Because I look at guys like you, Ben Shapiro, Matt Walsh, Andrew Klavan and Jordan
00:36:53.180 Peterson. And it seems like you guys are thinkers. You guys just have these qualities more associated
00:36:59.120 with being a thinking person. Me, I base the majority of my decisions on my emotions. And
00:37:06.240 I've noticed that the left likes to do that all the time, based every single decision or
00:37:11.420 opinion that they have based on their emotions. So is it possible to be anywhere near the right
00:37:18.360 and be an emotional person? Or is the right just reserved for the thinkers? Thank you for taking
00:37:25.160 the time to hear my question. And I can't wait to hear your answer. Thank you.
00:37:30.460 Listen, you clearly have excellent taste in your choice of podcasts and posts. But your
00:37:37.820 question raises another question, which is, what do you mean by emotional? I consider myself very
00:37:49.280 emotional. I mean that. I'm not joking. My wife might disagree. She might think of me as a block of sort
00:37:53.960 of stoic obsidian that has no feeling whatsoever. But I consider myself very, I'm moved emotionally
00:37:59.780 very easily by books, by films, by a butterfly floating next to a flower. Okay? I feel lots of
00:38:09.420 things. But I don't allow myself to be blown away by my emotions. So I think a conservative has to be
00:38:17.420 emotional. A conservative has to have a sort of feeling with his fellow man. The left often doesn't,
00:38:26.740 though the left allows themselves to be blown away by their emotions. They often won't allow
00:38:30.540 themselves to actually have compassion with their fellow man. They say that half of the people are
00:38:37.280 just awful, evil, terrible fascists, right? I mean, there's a great story recounted in Whitaker
00:38:41.420 Chambers' book Witness. Back when Chambers was a communist, before he left communism, he was walking
00:38:48.100 with a fellow communist and a derelict came up to him on the street and begged for some pennies or for
00:38:52.740 some food. And Whitaker Chambers gave him a couple of coins. And the other communist turns to him and
00:38:58.720 says, you shouldn't have done that. We can't feel anything for them. It dulls the revolutionary spirit.
00:39:03.040 And that chamber is obviously felt a natural kind of human feeling, right? Natural human compassion.
00:39:12.620 But you have to bring your emotions into line under your reason. You have to bring your base passions
00:39:20.520 and your unruly emotions into line underneath your rational will, which mediates between the appetite
00:39:26.640 and the divine will. Okay? Otherwise, you will be just blown away on gusts of appetite and passion.
00:39:33.180 And he won't be able to get anything done. So really, if you want to be a conservative,
00:39:39.480 if you want to be a sort of educated person, period, you should heighten your feeling of emotion.
00:39:47.080 Not just to some narrow kind of childish feeling of passion, but to the whole host of human emotions.
00:39:54.180 All the way up to, you know, gazing up at the sky and, you know, being moved in the way that men
00:40:01.760 have been moved for millennia, all the way up to longing for the love that moves the sun and the
00:40:08.040 other stars. And you need to cultivate your reason and your rational will to direct those desires into
00:40:19.300 their proper place. Next question.
00:40:21.620 Michael, good morning. Braden here. How are you doing?
00:40:26.500 My question relates to Twitter. Do you think Elon Musk should give Trump his access back?
00:40:34.720 That's my first question.
00:40:36.180 Second question. If he does give Trump his access back, do you think he should do it before the midterms?
00:40:42.480 My argument is no, because I don't want Trump to mess anything up.
00:40:47.200 I'm curious your thoughts. Thanks.
00:40:49.460 Obviously, I guess that voicemail bag came in last week before the midterm elections.
00:40:56.700 Yes, Elon should give Trump his Twitter back. It will be great. It will be awesome. I don't care.
00:41:02.320 I'm not of the opinion that Donald Trump, he's ruining everything for the Republican Party.
00:41:05.900 The Republicans are ruining everything for the Republican Party. The squishes and the losers and
00:41:10.920 the morally vacuous, spineless jellyfish in Washington are ruining the Republican Party.
00:41:17.400 Mitt Romney is ruining the Republican Party. Take his Twitter account away. I don't want Mitt Romney
00:41:21.340 to have a Twitter account. I want Trump to have a Twitter account, okay? So yes, he obviously should
00:41:25.460 get it back. He should get it back because when Twitter took it away from him, that was a major
00:41:30.640 assault on our political system. That was a billionaire in Silicon Valley saying, or really just the sort of
00:41:37.580 deputy to a billionaire in Silicon Valley, saying that she ought to be able to control the public
00:41:45.740 square, which in a self-governing republic means control the political order, much more than the
00:41:51.220 people and the duly elected sitting president of the United States. So yeah, he should get his Twitter
00:41:55.500 account back. Also, it will be super funny. Also, Trump is much better for the Republican Party than 99%
00:42:01.100 of Republicans. Next question. Hi, Michael. My name's Will. Like you, I come from the fabulous
00:42:06.760 Democratic People's Republic of New York. And like you, I've gone from the edgy atheist in my teen years
00:42:11.900 to the path of Catholicism now in my mid-20s. This has brought up a question, though. As a Catholic,
00:42:17.680 how do you reconcile the current Pope's views on things like supporting same-sex marriage and his
00:42:22.440 apparent support of the Chinese Communist Party when he should be holding up the views of his faith?
00:42:27.220 I'm still new to my church, so I don't want to go and ask these kinds of questions to anyone there
00:42:32.180 because I feel like I'd be the newcomer questioning things he doesn't know anything about. Thanks for
00:42:37.860 your time. Love the show. And God bless you and everyone there at The Daily Wire.
00:42:42.440 Thank you very much. God bless you as well. And your intuition is correct. You would, in this case,
00:42:47.900 be the newcomer who doesn't know what he's talking about because the Pope certainly does not support
00:42:53.540 gay marriage. This Pope has made lots of confusing statements, and I will be the first to ask questions
00:43:00.700 about those statements, and I have many doubts about things that he's said. But he has been crystal
00:43:06.720 clear on gay marriage. In fact, when he was Cardinal of Buenos Aires, Pope Francis, then Cardinal
00:43:14.380 Bergoglio, said that gay marriage is, quote, no mere political lobby. It is a machination of the father
00:43:22.080 of lies who seeks to deceive and confuse the children of God. He was then asked later on,
00:43:27.980 this was fairly recently actually, if Catholics, if they obviously can't have gay marriage because
00:43:33.820 that doesn't exist, but can they have blessing ceremonies for homosexual unions? And the Vatican,
00:43:43.020 this is Pope Francis, said no because God cannot bless sin. God blesses people who sin, namely all of us,
00:43:54.580 we all sin, but God does not and cannot bless sin itself. So the Pope has been absolutely crystal
00:44:00.840 clear on that. As for what the Pope has done with the Chinese Communist Party, yeah, it's unfortunate.
00:44:07.780 Throughout the history of the church, the sovereign pontiff has made certain deals with different
00:44:15.900 governments that one hopes are, in his view, for the good of the church. And Pope Francis has done
00:44:21.560 all sorts of things in China that are dismaying and worrying. But that would be much more of a
00:44:30.160 political matter, I think, than something on the faith and morals, which was alluded to in your first
00:44:36.400 point. And that, I see why you got the impression that Pope Francis is in favor of gay marriage or
00:44:41.120 something. But that's just because the newspapers lie, you know, because the newspapers always lie.
00:44:46.880 So you definitely should not believe everything you read in the papers. Okay, let's get to some
00:44:52.440 written mailbag, the old school way, from Jarrett. Hey, Michael, my wife, who I've been married to for
00:44:58.760 three years, informed me her father has been taking hormones and believes that he is transgender for
00:45:03.900 some time now. We have a 10-month-old child, and we don't feel it'd be right to cut his grandpa out of
00:45:08.100 his life. However, we believe the transgender movement is possibly the biggest threat to youth
00:45:12.440 in this world. I am so angry at the world's approach to this situation, as well as the people
00:45:17.480 who knew this was going on. Rather than getting him help, they decided affirming was the best thing
00:45:24.180 to do. I want so badly to get him help, but fear he is too stubborn and too far gone to reason with.
00:45:29.320 Any advice that you have, whether relating to how I approach getting him help or handling this with
00:45:34.220 my own son and the possibility of having a transgender grandparent, I appreciate the time.
00:45:38.260 Thank you. Awful position that you are in. You say that you think it would be wrong to deprive
00:45:45.280 your child of his grandfather. Your child's grandfather is the one who is depriving the
00:45:53.320 child of his grandfather. Because the grandfather is the one who is renouncing his position as a
00:45:58.480 grandfather and pretending to be, I don't know, a grandmother or something else. So it's your
00:46:03.900 grandfather who's doing this because he's either mentally ill or taken up in a social contagion of
00:46:10.560 gender ideology or both. Either way, though, I would approach the relationship in the same way you would
00:46:16.220 with any other person who is mentally ill, which is, you know, you try to get them help. You should
00:46:21.660 not affirm this stuff. The way you phrase it, you say, you know, it was decided that they would
00:46:26.780 affirm this. No, well, I don't know who they are and I don't know what it was decided means, but
00:46:30.820 you should not affirm this. Your wife should not affirm this. And this would be very, very confusing
00:46:37.740 for your child. And so I would proceed with great caution and I would make it clear when you do see
00:46:45.640 your grandfather or whatever, the child's grandfather, I would make it clear that, you know,
00:46:50.860 grandpa has a mental illness and we need to treat him with pity and compassion, but this is not right.
00:46:57.160 This is not right. This is not good. And even that, I don't know, exposing a child to that kind
00:47:03.600 of madness that close could be very detrimental to the child. So I would proceed with great caution.
00:47:10.900 And I wouldn't feel guilt about you making the decision to deprive your son or daughter of
00:47:16.500 a grandfather. The grandfather made that decision and the family that enabled that
00:47:21.400 made that decision. So I'd be very, very cautious. All right, let's see. Take one more from Brian.
00:47:27.180 Greetings, Nolstradamus. My question could be addressed to any of the Daily Wire hosts,
00:47:31.740 as I can imagine. All of you spend countless hours poring over the mainstream liberal media in
00:47:36.120 preparation for your shows. How do you spend so much time in mainstream liberal media,
00:47:40.140 yet keep your sanity? I feel confident in my conservative beliefs, yet I don't want to trap myself in an
00:47:44.640 information silo. Whenever I attempt to watch liberal sources, I find myself becoming angry
00:47:49.180 from the obvious lies. How would you recommend individuals like me pursue both sides of political
00:47:54.460 issues? Thank you, Brian. Oh, well, I would do so from a position of amusement and as a kind of
00:48:01.320 investigation and training. One great thing about reading a lot of liberal press is that you learn
00:48:08.080 the tricks. You learn how they do things. The most basic example would probably be when Democrats have
00:48:13.700 a scandal. That's not how it's reported. When Republicans have a scandal, the headline is
00:48:20.140 Republican has a scandal. When Democrats have a scandal, the headline is Republicans pounce on
00:48:25.980 Democrat scandal. And I don't think, as some people say, that you should spend equal time reading the
00:48:31.860 conservative news and the left-wing news. I don't think that's true at all. Why would you waste so much
00:48:36.980 of your time reading falsehood? I would read the true stuff, and then I would sprinkle in the liberal
00:48:42.180 stuff. I do consume a decent amount of liberal media. That's my job. But I've never watched a
00:48:49.540 full episode of The View. I watch little clips of The View. I've never watched a full episode of CNN,
00:48:54.980 certainly not in the last 20 years. But I'll watch little clips of it. I'll read a column or two. I
00:49:01.580 don't read the New York Times every day. I read a column or two, maybe. So I would sprinkle that in.
00:49:06.200 But surround yourself with the truth. You don't need to give equal weight to truth and falsehood.
00:49:09.480 That is a lie and a great error of our modern age that too many people on the right have fallen into.
00:49:15.060 You can pick. You can choose. As Bill Buckley pointed out very wisely in God and Man at Yale,
00:49:20.660 skepticism has utility only when it leads to conviction. You know, the rest of the show starts
00:49:25.260 now. We have got really important stuff today. This is Fake Headline Friday. I have been on an
00:49:31.900 absolute tear. Ben Davies is so upset because I keep guessing the fake headline. I need your help
00:49:36.660 to do it. If you're not a member, click the link in the description and join us.
00:49:39.860 Oh, yeah.
00:49:40.820 It works.
00:49:42.120 Oh, yeah.
00:49:42.800 Absolutely.
