00:00:00.000 Do you believe in coincidences? Because an amazing coincidence happened yesterday.
00:00:04.760 You see, yesterday, Sam Bankman-Fried, who's the scam artist behind the FTX crypto exchange
00:00:11.240 collapse, he was arrested in the Bahamas just one day before he was scheduled to testify before the
00:00:19.080 House Financial Services Committee. Now, initially, SBF, as he is called, had said that he did not
00:00:25.680 want to testify. And Maxine Waters, the head of the House Committee, she didn't seem especially to
00:00:32.040 mind that he refused to testify. She didn't push back all that much, did not issue a subpoena,
00:00:38.040 nothing like that, which makes sense since SBF was the second largest donor to the Democrat Party
00:00:44.560 this past cycle. And the collapse of his scam looks pretty terrible for Democrats in the House and
00:00:51.460 everywhere else. But he was still scheduled to appear, which was going to be a lose-lose situation
00:00:56.540 for the Democrats, since whether he showed up or not, the Democrats are going to look either corrupt
00:01:01.500 or weak or both. And then, then what do you know? The guy gets arrested just 24 hours before the
00:01:09.740 appearance, and so he can't show up. I can't help but notice also that Maxine Waters doesn't seem all
00:01:16.800 that broken up about it. She said he was planning to appear before the committee tomorrow, but then
00:01:23.740 he was arrested. Although Mr. Bankman-Fried must be held accountable, the American public deserves to
00:01:28.780 hear directly from Mr. Bankman-Fried about the actions that have harmed over 1 million people
00:01:33.580 and wiped out the hard-earned life savings of so many. The public has been eagerly waiting to get
00:01:37.900 those answers under oath before Congress. The timing of this arrest denies this public opportunity.
00:01:43.040 While I am disappointed that we will not be able to hear from Mr. Bankman-Fried tomorrow,
00:01:47.580 we remain committed to getting to the bottom of what happened. And this committee looks forward
00:01:53.000 to beginning our investigation by hearing from some other guy tomorrow. Ah, darn, drats. We really
00:01:58.780 wanted to hear from our second largest donor about the huge scam that he was perpetrating that allowed
00:02:03.360 him to fund all of our campaigns last cycle, but darn it, dagnabbit. It just didn't work out.
00:02:08.800 The largest financial scam potentially in history, perpetrated by the Democrats' second largest
00:02:14.660 donor, and now we're unlikely ever to hear much of anything about it. What are the chances?
00:02:20.420 About as believable as SBF's balance sheet. I'm Michael Knowles. This is The Michael Knowles Show.
00:02:32.660 Welcome back to the show. My favorite comment yesterday is from Gary McDermott,
00:02:35.940 who says, this is about Sam Brinton. He's the energy guy, the nuclear waste guy in the Biden
00:02:42.300 administration with the bald head and the red lipstick and the stilettos and the guys on the
00:02:46.840 leash. So you're telling me that a guy with a shaved head and mustache that wears lipstick,
00:02:52.360 women's dresses and high heels and dresses up in bondage gear and walks other dudes around
00:02:56.720 on a leash like dogs, was exhibiting signs of abnormal behavior when he was stealing luggage at
00:03:02.700 the airport. I don't believe it. I know it just doesn't add up. Just doesn't make sense. Kind of
00:03:08.680 like the arrest of Sam Bankman Freed. It's just, what are the odds? What are the odds? It's always
00:03:15.520 the ones you most expect. It's always the things and the people that you most expect. Okay, now when
00:03:22.560 I expect to have a good meal and feel very satisfied and get a lot of iron pumping through
00:03:26.760 my blood, I turn to Good Ranchers. Right now, head on over to GoodRanchers.com and use code
00:03:32.280 Knowles. A hard year on the economy means that essential, practical gifts will be in high demand.
00:03:38.580 Give the most essential gift of all, America's best meat and seafood from Good Ranchers. With
00:03:43.760 discounts on orders of five boxes or more, you can save on gifts for the whole family.
00:03:47.660 When you give a box of Good Ranchers, you are giving them a true steakhouse experience with 100%
00:03:51.800 American USDA prime and upper choice cuts of beef, chicken, and seafood. Other meat delivery companies
00:03:57.100 and even your local grocery stores import lower quality meat from overseas. Do not give your
00:04:02.880 friends and family less than America's best this year. Not sure what to order? Good Ranchers now
00:04:07.600 offers gift cards so you can let your friends and family members choose for themselves or give the
00:04:13.220 gift of a subscription and inflation-proof someone's meat budget. Go to GoodRanchers.com, use code Knowles,
00:04:18.720 N-N-W-L-E-S at checkout to get $35 off your gift. That is GoodRanchers.com, code Knowles for $35
00:04:24.380 off. Good Ranchers, American meat delivered. Speaking of corrupt Democrats getting their
00:04:30.740 comeuppance, we turn away from Washington, we turn toward Silicon Valley, San Francisco. Elon Musk
00:04:37.580 is not only kicking a ton of Twitter employees out and encouraging them to quit or firing them outright,
00:04:45.600 he's now also selling all their stuff. So Elon Musk is auctioning off all the really nice amenities
00:04:54.660 that the Twitter employees had at their office, which they didn't even use because they didn't
00:04:59.120 show up to the office, but really high-end espresso machines, lounge chairs, all these sorts of other
00:05:05.800 employee toys. What? Oh, it's a La Marzocco espresso machine. That sounds nice.
00:05:11.800 Rotisole rotisserie ovens. What were they doing? I guess they were just sort of cooking their own
00:05:16.860 chickens maybe at lunch. Commercial blenders, grinders, refrigerators, grills, griddles, fryers,
00:05:22.280 braising pans, and pizza ovens. That's what the Twitter employees got to do after their long shifts
00:05:30.900 censoring you and kicking duly elected Republicans off of the platform and covering up for the
00:05:37.480 Democrats and shilling for Joe Biden. And then they needed a break. They were so exhausted. So
00:05:42.400 they would have to kick back with their nice rotisserie chicken in their lounge chair,
00:05:46.020 sipping their lovely espresso. Well, not anymore, because one, Elon Musk has fired a lot of those
00:05:51.120 employees. And two, he's selling all of their stuff through Heritage Global Partners. He's also
00:05:57.320 selling a bunch of their office gear, computers, seats, that sort of thing. So if you want a piece
00:06:02.380 of Twitter, you can go get that. He's also selling symbols of Twitter. So there's a giant statue of the
00:06:08.480 Twitter logo. There is a sculpture of the at sign that denotes a person's Twitter handle. He's selling
00:06:15.460 that too. He's selling, or he's selling rather two novelty stationary bikes that were used to charge
00:06:21.680 electronics. He's, he's selling a lot of it. Why is he doing that? In part, I'm sure he's doing it for
00:06:28.500 the money. It's a lot of stuff and they don't need it anymore. So they can sell it, but it's not really
00:06:34.000 about the money. All of that is going to be a rounding error on Twitter's budget. Elon Musk is
00:06:40.800 selling all the fun employee toys to assert his dominance over the company. And to that, I say,
00:06:48.080 hey, my hat is off to you, sir. Great job. I applaud it. I think it's really, really smart.
00:06:52.680 And conservatives ought to learn from this. Elon Musk engaged in a very hostile takeover of this
00:07:01.720 company. It was about as hostile as a takeover can possibly be. And he got a lot of pushback from
00:07:08.920 the employees. So even after the sale went through, there were a lot of people saying, well, you're not
00:07:13.020 going to be able to do this, Elon. We're going to, we're going to stand up to you. We're going to
00:07:17.640 stop this awful far right wing takeover, even though Elon Musk is center left at most. And Elon
00:07:25.540 said, nope, not the case. You're fired. You're fired. You're fired. He engaged in all these kinds
00:07:30.540 of little tricks. He would send out emails and then see who would leak the emails. And then he had
00:07:34.900 little markers on the emails to find out who leaked it. Fire those people. He encouraged a bunch of
00:07:39.360 people to leave. He's just, he's, he's actually making life much more difficult for the Twitter
00:07:46.360 employees to strategic effect because it separates the wheat from the chaff. It boots out a lot of
00:07:52.080 the libs. He's, he is intentionally antagonizing his employees to get them to leave because the ones
00:07:58.380 who are antagonized by his antics are not the kind of employees that he wants. This is what Republicans
00:08:02.900 should do when we come into political power. We don't do it, unfortunately. And it's, it's harder
00:08:07.820 because there are more rules around government. But when we come in and we appoint people to the
00:08:13.240 various agencies and departments, don't forget, there are some 2 million employees in the permanent
00:08:19.480 government, in the bureaucracy, in the associated departments of the government. We need to come in
00:08:24.960 and we need to, we need to sell out, sell the microwaves. We need to sell the lounge chairs.
00:08:29.140 We need to make life difficult. We need to increase working hours. We need to make it harder to
00:08:34.540 jump off the clock and dawdle and do all the sorts of things that a lot of these people do.
00:08:42.120 We need to make it a fairly hostile work environment because the people who run the show over there
00:08:48.320 overwhelmingly are our political enemies. And so if we allow life to remain pleasant for them
00:08:53.420 in their jobs, they're just going to continue to undermine us. Okay. We never, we never seem to
00:08:58.460 have the guts for that though. We never see, learn a lesson, elected Republicans, learn a lesson,
00:09:03.980 2024 presidential candidates, learn a lesson, potential appointees, do the Elon thing, go in
00:09:09.960 scorched earth, tell them their lives are going to be much, much harder and sell all their toys and salt
00:09:16.120 the earth so that nothing will ever grow there again. Whether we're talking about it, Twitter,
00:09:19.740 or we're talking about it in the various government agencies. Speaking of people getting fired,
00:09:26.080 Sam Brinton alluded to in my favorite comment of the day yesterday, which I just read,
00:09:31.740 has been fired. He has been fired not after it came to light that he shows up to bondage fetish events
00:09:42.060 and leads grown men around on dog leashes and dresses them up in weird little leather costumes.
00:09:46.920 Not after Sam Brinton shows up to White House events wearing stiletto heels and lipstick,
00:09:54.420 not after Sam Brinton steals a woman's jewelry, allegedly at an airport and clothing and all
00:10:01.480 of her possessions in her suitcase. But after he does that for a second time and is caught on camera doing
00:10:10.340 it and becomes too much of a distraction that even the Biden White House has to fire him.
00:10:15.820 According to the DOE, Sam Brinton is no longer a DOE employee, but the Department of Energy cannot
00:10:21.180 comment further on personnel matters. Okay, good. Not only has the right been calling attention to
00:10:29.380 this guy and saying, wait, what? You're telling me this obviously deeply troubled lunatic is in charge
00:10:35.760 of nuclear waste in the federal government? But even members of the LGBTQ plus community have warned
00:10:43.000 about this guy for a long time. In LGBTQ Nation, not exactly a far right publication, the headline
00:10:50.000 just came out is, has Sam Brinton's story always been too good to be true? Was Brinton's story contrived
00:10:58.860 or embellished to manipulate high profile leaders and elevate themselves into, oh, that's the,
00:11:04.960 themselves is the singular crazy pronoun. If you don't want to acknowledge that you were a man or a
00:11:11.060 woman's, but him, himself is what they mean into the upper echelons of the LGBTQ plus activism. And
00:11:17.080 there he is. And what's the story? The story is, well, Sam Brinton's told a few stories, but the big
00:11:22.260 one, the central part of his personal narrative, his LGBTQ journey is that Sam Brinton was subjected to
00:11:29.920 conversion therapy, conversion therapy. What is it? Nobody quite seems to know, but if he had the
00:11:36.840 conversion therapy, this was traumatic and it was awful, except his story didn't quite hold up.
00:11:44.220 He's been telling it since he was at the Trevor Project, the National Center for Lesbian Rights,
00:11:49.540 now in the federal government. It just doesn't quite, he said that he came out to his parents at
00:11:55.800 the age of 11 and then his father started punching him and he went to the emergency room and then he was
00:12:02.500 sent to conversion therapy and then they tried to beat the gay out of him basically. But then
00:12:09.100 his story started to change because when he was asked about it, he said, who was the doctor? Who
00:12:15.320 was the, what was the office? What was this? He refused to answer. And as LGBTQ nation even acknowledges,
00:12:22.700 they said, this is kind of odd. If such a place existed, there's a moral imperative to rapidly identify
00:12:29.760 the abusive therapist and contact the authorities to stop the atrocities. Why was Sam Brinton the only
00:12:35.300 of, the only survivor of conversion therapy I've encountered since 1998 who refused to answer such
00:12:41.800 questions? Not only had every other survivor provided this information willingly, but they were eager to
00:12:48.700 fight back and shut down their own therapist or ex-gay minister. And so then Sam starts changing his
00:12:53.280 story, he writes, changes the timeline of when he went to the so-called conversion therapy. It's just very
00:12:57.380 clear to conservatives, to liberals, to LGBTQ activists. It's clear to anyone who's interested
00:13:02.280 in the truth. This guy has made up his whole story. He's obviously a pathological liar. He's a thief.
00:13:08.620 He's a deeply troubled, deeply confused man. And only after everybody in the country agrees on that,
00:13:18.140 from the most super straight conservative to the most LGBTQ left-wing activist, only then does Joe Biden
00:13:24.720 say, okay, only after he's accused of two felonies, does Joe Biden say, okay, maybe we got to take him
00:13:29.840 off the nuclear, nuclear waste in the federal government. Doesn't make sense. Now, if you want
00:13:35.920 to look good, not look kind of crazy and eccentric, but look really, really good. You got to check out

00:14:50.740 Knowles. It's a big part of Sam Brinton's story is about this thing called conversion therapy.
00:14:56.800 But what is conversion therapy? Some people have in their minds that it's when you take gay guys and
00:15:03.580 you, or little kids even, they often say it's done with little kids and you just basically attach
00:15:08.020 them to electrodes. You just electrocute them until they stop being gay or something. That
00:15:12.680 obviously is not the case. That is not practiced anywhere. That's kind of the image that the
00:15:19.920 libs wanted to create for Mike Pence in 2016. Because Mike Pence signed some law that had some
00:15:27.220 healthcare provision that funded some kind of therapy that was completely misrepresented
00:15:32.360 to suggest that it was this awful traumatic conversion therapy. But you know what conversion
00:15:39.420 therapy actually is? It's when a guy walks into a psychologist and says, hey doc, I'm a little
00:15:45.860 confused about my sex and my gender. And I'm a man, but maybe I think I'm a woman. Or I'm a man,
00:15:53.360 but I'm not really as attracted to women. And I'm more attracted to men. And I don't want to be. I want
00:15:58.880 to be attracted to women. And doc, I don't know what to do. I don't know how to help myself work
00:16:02.720 through these feelings and the psychological confusion. If the doc tells that guy, that patient,
00:16:12.460 that he is a man, say, hey buddy, I know you're going through a lot of confusion, but you are a man.
00:16:18.320 And so you're not really a woman. And it is sort of normal if you're a man to have a relationship
00:16:27.080 with a woman and then maybe get married. Or if that is not amenable to you, maybe to remain
00:16:32.440 chaste or celibate. If you're experiencing distress, because let's say your religious views tell you
00:16:37.840 that you can't indulge same-sex attractions, but you have these attractions. So what are you going to
00:16:42.660 do? I'm going to help you work through this in a way that is conducive with your biological sex,
00:16:50.960 our understanding of what sex means and gender expression, the religious views that you hold,
00:16:55.800 the cultural values that we've had for many, many years. If the doctor says any of those things,
00:17:01.080 that's evil conversion therapy. That's illegal in half the states in this country.
00:17:07.180 If, on the other hand, the psychologist tells the patient, oh, hey buddy, you're not really a buddy,
00:17:13.540 you're a chick. You're a woman. You need to take a bunch of very powerful drugs. You need to head on
00:17:18.160 over to that butcher down the street and he's going to chop off your genitals. And you're going to put on
00:17:22.340 high heels and you're going to put on a bunch of lipstick and you're going to pretend to be a
00:17:25.920 woman now. If the psychologist does that, that's called gender affirming treatment. That's health
00:17:30.360 care. In fact, that's pretty much the only thing the psychologist is allowed to do in half of the
00:17:36.100 states, plus additional territory. So in more than half of the country, that's pretty much all
00:17:41.480 the psychologist is allowed to do. Isn't that a little bit weird? In both cases, you've got a guy
00:17:47.200 walking in to a psychologist saying, hey, I'm confused. I'm suffering from confusion, some
00:17:52.500 distress. I'm being torn between two things. Obviously, he's experiencing that distress.
00:17:57.160 Obviously, he's not secure in his views. If he were secure in his views, he wouldn't be going to the
00:18:01.280 psychologist. So the psychologist is converting him to one thing or the other. It's just if the
00:18:08.960 psychologist converts him to the view that men are men and ought to behave like men,
00:18:13.840 that's evil, that's terrible, that's illegal. If the psychologist converts him to the view that men
00:18:20.740 can actually become women and they ought to pretend to be a caricature of a woman and undergo painful
00:18:25.100 mutilations of their body, that's the good conversion. Does that make sense? Seems kind of
00:18:30.620 like the opposite to me. Why is it the case that a man in this country is not allowed, in half the
00:18:38.080 country at least, is not allowed to go into a psychologist? And if he says, look, I'm experiencing
00:18:43.660 sexual confusion. I think I'm a woman, but I want to recognize that I'm a man. Or I'm experiencing
00:18:48.600 sexual confusion. I'm attracted to men, but I want to try to mitigate some of those impulses and be able
00:18:54.040 to live a life that is chaste and does not lead me to indulge those desires. Why is a man not allowed
00:19:00.520 to do that in America? It's not just that the psychologist is not allowed to practice reasonable
00:19:06.080 psychology. It's that the patient is not allowed to get that care, which ironically is gender
00:19:11.160 affirming care. When you tell a man he's a man, that's affirming his gender. When you tell a man
00:19:17.180 to behave like a man, that is affirming his gender. And yet today we call up, down, and left, right,
00:19:25.620 and good, evil, and evil, good. There's a therapist who I had on the show years ago, years and years
00:19:31.540 ago because he came out with a book, Joseph Nicolosi Jr. And I've been attacked for even
00:19:36.500 talking to this guy because it turned out he's a conversion therapist, allegedly. He says that term
00:19:42.000 is ridiculous. He refers to his reintegrative therapy. Joseph Nicolosi Jr. is just a guy who,
00:19:48.940 if you come to him and you say, hey, doc, I'm a man, but I want to resolve my confusion and seem more
00:19:53.460 like a regular guy, he tries to help you through that. He is persona non grata. And he's been blowing
00:19:59.980 the whistle on Sam Brinton for a long time. He said, Brinton claims he was in torture therapy
00:20:03.800 as a young child for years and can't remember the therapist's name. He later claimed the therapy
00:20:07.860 took place in his 20s. But even as he was attacking therapies that don't exist, he was engaging in
00:20:13.500 sadomasochism and simulated bestiality with young men and women. Of course, no one cared about his
00:20:20.640 credibility until he got caught stealing the luggage. Totally crazy. And there are a lot of
00:20:26.880 squishes and libs who even identify themselves on the right who will say, well, I oppose conversion
00:20:32.660 therapy. That doesn't mean anything. Conversion therapy, it's another example of the libs
00:20:39.040 creating a brand, manipulating language to control our minds, to control the way we perceive the world,
00:20:46.000 to win the debate before the debate even begins, which is the phenomenon that I describe in my book,
00:20:50.380 Speechless, Controlling Words, Controlling Minds, number one national bestseller,
00:20:52.940 a great Christmas present. Still plenty of time to receive it before Christmas.
00:20:57.240 Don't take the, there is no such thing as conversion therapy. It's not real. Lock that
00:21:01.960 one away with the tooth fairy, okay? All there is, is therapy. There's psychology.
00:21:09.280 And the kind that is legal today is the one that tells men fake, false things. And the one that's
00:21:16.100 illegal today is the one that tells men the truth. Does that make sense? No, I don't think so.
00:21:20.060 It doesn't make sense at all. So what's the consequence of all of this? There's a video,
00:21:24.320 just one around, of a guy at a New York City all ages drag show, not wearing any pants, wearing a
00:21:33.740 thong, wearing stiletto heels, jiggling around, teaching a little girl, and then even a little
00:21:39.680 girl who, I don't know, I'd place her age, let's say around seven or eight. I can't really tell from
00:21:44.260 the picture. And in front of kids who are much younger even than that.
00:21:52.360 I have mercifully blurred out this man's nauseating derriere.
00:21:59.360 But he's dancing, and it's not even as though the guy jiggling around half naked on stage
00:22:03.580 doesn't know that the little kids are watching. He's doing it for the kids. They're in the front
00:22:07.840 row. And he's looking at the girl who's dancing around with him and teaching her how to twerk.
00:22:12.320 And so now we're all going to be outraged. We're going to be outraged.
00:22:17.860 And we need to yell about this. And can you imagine? This is weird. This is bizarre.
00:22:25.200 Conservatives, look, I'm guilty of it too. We all do it. We look at this bizarre behavior. We say,
00:22:29.480 that's bizarre. That's weird. Sort of. Is it really bizarre in today's day and age? No,
00:22:36.180 it happens all the time. We cover it on the show three times a week. It happens all the time.
00:22:40.540 We can be repulsed by this. We can be nauseated by this. We should not be shocked by this.
00:22:46.040 We should not be surprised. This is what has been happening for years. And this has been
00:22:52.980 a phenomenon accelerating the culture for decades. And it is not going to stop until we make it stop.
00:23:03.560 This is not going to stop until we enforce laws that are already on the books against this kind
00:23:11.880 of stuff. Public indecency laws, obscenity laws. And it's not going to stop until we throw these
00:23:16.900 people in prison. Yeah, we can publicize it. We can talk. All I've got right here is a microphone
00:23:22.340 and a camera. So we can talk about it. We can expose it. A lot of people aren't totally aware
00:23:27.100 that this is happening. And they don't even, when they hear about it, they don't even believe,
00:23:30.000 wait, this guy's doing what in front of kids? What? No, there's no way. I can't believe it.
00:23:33.400 And then you see it. So it helps you realize the problem is real, but it's not going to stop
00:23:37.520 just because we shine a light on it. It will only stop when we throw these people in prison.
00:23:44.840 Okay. And a lot of conservatives say, well, we don't, I don't want to do that. That's the big
00:23:48.280 government. That's the naughty, evil, big government. I've been told that we can never use the government
00:23:53.580 to do anything because that would make us no different from the liberals. You see, if I arrest child
00:23:59.560 predators who prance around half naked in front of five-year-olds, that will really, that'd be no
00:24:04.160 different than if I were a liberal and I arrested a preacher, wouldn't it? So let's not do that.
00:24:08.220 Let's just complain about it. Yeah. If we complain enough, then, then they'll, they'll voluntarily
00:24:15.180 stop doing all the terrible things. No, they won't. They obviously won't. So what are we going to,
00:24:20.560 we're doing what we can do. Okay. We are exposing this stuff, showing you what a problem it is.
00:24:26.500 And then the people listening to this show and the great grassroots activists around the country,
00:24:32.480 you are all doing what you can do. You're showing up to school boards. You're showing up to your
00:24:36.900 local government. You're writing your congressmen. You're yelling at them. You're
00:24:39.980 sometimes throwing the bums out. The Republicans have to do their job. Enforce the law in the cases
00:24:45.780 where laws have been repealed. Put new laws on the books. Throw these people in prison.
00:24:53.100 Wield your power. Pull an Elon. Pull an Elon. Sell all the liberals toys. Okay. Get rid of all the
00:24:58.680 liberals toys. The drag queens and the stilettos and the, and the weird luggage and the Sam Brinton
00:25:04.200 accessories and get rid of it. Make an example. Assert some freaking strength and fortitude and
00:25:11.240 political dominance on the occasions you get it. Or when this continues to happen, you'll have no one
00:25:16.140 to blame but yourself, politicians. What are we getting? I have the proof of this. Joe Biden just
00:25:23.820 signed this bill into law to abolish marriage. And the law, it's called the, what are they calling it?
00:25:33.980 The Respect for Marriage Act. But all it really does is define marriage out of existence. And Joe Biden,
00:25:39.800 to celebrate this wonderful event, has invited a drag queen to the White House. Drag queen,
00:25:45.420 Marty G. Cummings, is attending the Respect for Marriage Act at the White House. And he says,
00:25:51.600 to be a non-binary drag artist invited to the White House is something I never imagined would happen.
00:25:56.180 Yeah. You and me both, brother. Grateful doesn't begin to express the emotions that I feel.
00:26:04.720 So the political order encourages this stuff. That's why it happens. And the only way that you're
00:26:12.500 going to get rid of it is to create political conditions in which this sort of thing is unpleasant.
00:26:18.220 There have always been transvestites. There have always been eunuchs. There have always been people
00:26:21.600 who are sexually depraved and confused. Their behavior for most of our history has been relegated
00:26:28.060 to back alleys, to the shadows, to the fringes, which is where this sort of thing belongs.
00:26:35.100 If, because it is a fallen world, we are never going to get rid of perverts' desire to take off
00:26:41.320 half their clothing and jiggle their derriere in front of five-year-olds. You're actually not going
00:26:44.440 to just get rid of that. So what can you do about it? The only thing you can do is relegate that to
00:26:49.280 create the shadows, create the political conditions in which that sort of thing is considered very,
00:26:53.580 very shameful and not elevated to the status of a White House presidential signing. Now, we can fight
00:27:01.140 back. We actually can. You are seeing this. The North Carolina state treasurer is fighting back. This
00:27:07.760 would be Dale Falwell, who is, in his role as state treasurer, is calling for the resignation of the
00:27:15.940 CEO of BlackRock. You've seen this move, and we've talked about it on the show, of state treasurers
00:27:21.580 wielding their state pension funds, their large assets, to fight back against the woke ESG asset
00:27:29.320 managers. So BlackRock, State Street, Vanguard, because the way that the system works is you've got
00:27:34.300 these political activists put pressure on the asset managers. The asset managers wield their political
00:27:40.440 power to force the companies that they control to implement all sorts of crazy policies. The one I
00:27:47.160 keep coming back to is Cracker Barrel selling vegan sausage, vegetarian, impossible, whatever sausage.
00:27:53.380 No human being ever in history who has walked into Cracker Barrel has wanted vegetarian sausage.
00:28:00.420 Didn't matter. The asset managers wanted that. And so that's what they get.
00:28:03.740 That is 100% what they are going to get. And so what the state treasurer is called for is not even
00:28:12.600 just divesting from BlackRock. He's called for the CEO. Good. I love it. Let's do it, baby. Let's do
00:28:17.940 it. Let's go in there. Let's pressure these companies. I don't want to hear about the free
00:28:22.580 marketplace of ideas and how we can never interfere in the economy. The marketplace rules are set by
00:28:27.920 political actors. That's how our system is set up. And it is a wonderful, wonderful thing
00:28:32.500 when we, the people, can exercise the little bit of political power that we still have
00:28:38.180 through our elected representatives to bring these people back to order, okay, to bring these people
00:28:45.360 to heel. I love free markets. I don't want to sound like I'm just some command and control
00:28:51.180 knuckle-dragging dictator, but they've got to be in their proper place. And when we get into this sort
00:28:56.340 of situation, it looks a lot more like the tail is wagging the dog. And it's extremely disordered and
00:29:01.260 disrespectful of the people. Speaking of disrespect of the people, have you seen the most popular
00:29:07.320 scene from the Harry and Meghan documentary? How do you explain that you bow to your grandmother
00:29:12.420 and that you will need to curtsy, especially to an American? Like, that's weird.
00:29:19.480 Now I'm starting to realize this is a big deal. I mean, Americans will understand this. We have
00:29:25.220 medieval times, dinner and tournament. It was like that. Like, I curtsied as though I was like,
00:29:29.860 pleasure to meet you, your majesty. Like, was that okay? It was so intense.
00:29:47.140 Oh, it was so stupid. Oh yeah. I had to bow down to my husband's dumb grandma,
00:29:52.460 you know, or his dumb, stupid grandma, one of the most dignified and beloved people on earth.
00:29:56.340 Yeah. Wasn't that, wasn't that right, hubby? What a dumb thing we did, huh? And he's just
00:30:00.100 sitting there like, oh man, my life. Why did I do this? I'm so, oh, I could have had a good future,
00:30:07.840 but then it's so disrespectful what Meghan Markle is doing here. It's disrespectful,
00:30:14.920 obviously to the late queen. It's disrespectful to her husband. It's disrespectful to the people
00:30:19.760 of the United Kingdom because she is insulting their sovereign and their entire political order.
00:30:28.860 And why is she doing that? I don't even think she's doing it intentionally. I don't think she's
00:30:33.940 setting out to insult the people of the UK. She's doing it because she doesn't believe that anything
00:30:40.100 matters other than her individualism, her individual expression. Why do I have to engage
00:30:48.300 in this formal behavior that is prescribed by tradition and the order? I just, come on,
00:30:53.840 this is so dumb and stupid. I just want to do whatever I want to do.
00:30:57.940 We fall into that error too. We fall into that error a little bit too in America, the left and the right.
00:31:03.960 The left, obviously, all they care about is people doing whatever they want, at least when it comes
00:31:09.540 to sex, when it comes to drugs, when it comes to the social issues. But the right too, the right
00:31:17.220 says individuals should be able to do whatever the hell they want. Some people on the right think that
00:31:23.140 that's true of sex and drugs, but especially when it comes to the economy. Well, you know,
00:31:27.540 if Larry Fink over there at BlackRock wants to force all of the companies under his control to
00:31:36.640 pursue the radical left-wing ESG agenda, well, that's his right. Build your own BlackRock.
00:31:43.060 If he wants to completely upend our political order, and if a handful of people, forget about
00:31:48.480 just the asset managers, Silicon Valley, if Facebook and Twitter and Google want to completely rewrite how
00:31:54.860 the public square works in the United States or a self-governing republic, well, just build your own
00:31:59.980 communications. Build your own public square. Build your own handful of companies that control 90%
00:32:10.320 of the flow of information around our country. No, how about I just wield the government that I have
00:32:18.040 maybe a little bit of control in to stop you from doing that? Maybe we recognize, as Edmund Burke
00:32:25.520 recognized, that there is a higher form of freedom than individual freedom. When Edmund Burke writes in
00:32:32.960 the most famous passage in Reflections on the Revolution in France, that there is such a thing as the spirit
00:32:40.320 of an exalted freedom that remains alive even in servitude itself. And this is one of the great
00:32:51.760 revelations of Christianity, is that there is a higher form of freedom than just pursuing your
00:33:01.720 appetites whenever you want. That you can actually be the freest man in the world even when you're being
00:33:06.000 tortured, even when you're undergoing conversion therapy that doesn't really exist. Even when you
00:33:11.720 are in servitude, even when you are in prison, there's a higher form of freedom in the cultivation
00:33:18.840 of one's rational will and the suppression of one's basest instincts in the pursuit of something higher
00:33:23.120 and good and true. And we can express that exalted freedom in another way, not just through our
00:33:29.080 spiritual lives, but in political life. That to have a good flourishing society is a much higher
00:33:35.780 sort of freedom. Even if it means in order to have a flourishing society, we need to suppress some of
00:33:43.300 our base desires. We need to not steal. We need to not murder people. We need to not rape people. We
00:33:48.020 need to not cheat people. We need to not defraud people. We need to rein in some of the stuff we want
00:33:52.320 to do in order to have a good flourishing society. But anybody, if you asked anybody, okay, would you
00:33:58.360 rather live in the United States? Well, today, I don't know. People are probably on the fence about
00:34:05.640 that. But even today, would you rather live in the United States where you're going to have to play by
00:34:09.880 some rules and you're going to have to suppress some of the things you want to do? Or would you
00:34:12.640 rather live in Somalia where there are no rules and there is no government? You can do whatever you
00:34:16.260 want until the pirates show up and kill your family and take your stuff. Nobody would choose Somalia
00:34:23.080 over the United States. Because that higher expression of political freedom, even at the
00:34:28.980 cost of individual freedom, is far, far greater. And so we need to exercise that exalted freedom more.
00:34:35.600 You're seeing it happen. Maryland, even Maryland, where the Republican governor, there was a big
00:34:39.160 squish named Larry Hogan. Even he is flexing that political freedom right now. And he is banning
00:34:44.600 state government devices from having TikTok on them. Why? Because TikTok is owned by the Chinese
00:34:53.580 and it gives the Chinese Communist Party all sorts of data that we don't want. And the app is just
00:34:58.660 pure poison, right? I mean, the app is so much more addictive than any of the social media platforms.
00:35:04.440 There was a study some time ago that showed that the average Twitter user is on Twitter,
00:35:09.420 the median Twitter user is on Twitter for anywhere from two to four minutes per day.
00:35:13.720 Maybe six minutes, you're a heavy user. TikTok, people are on TikTok for 50 minutes plus per day.
00:35:19.920 It's not even close. And what are they consuming on TikTok? Just a bunch of mind-numbing nonsense.
00:35:26.700 So Larry Hogan banned it for government employees on government devices because of the security
00:35:32.020 concerns. We could go further. I'm all for just banning TikTok. Just ban it. And especially
00:35:39.100 ban it because they have been suppressing my account for many months now. So Daily Wire runs
00:35:44.920 an account for me for TikTok. I'm not exactly scrolling on TikTok because I'm not a 15-year-old
00:35:49.900 girl. But Daily Wire runs an account for me and they've suppressed it. Intensely suppressed it.
00:35:56.040 When I put out that video of the Thanksgiving crazy conservative uncle a couple of days before
00:36:02.000 Thanksgiving, on Instagram, it did about 7 million views. On Facebook, it did probably upwards of a million
00:36:08.240 views. Twitter, probably upwards of a million views. And then TikTok, about 7,000 views on my
00:36:12.940 account. But then other people ripped off the video and uploaded it. They did millions of views
00:36:17.700 on TikTok. So it's also that just Chairman Xi doesn't like me very much, I guess, that TikTok is
00:36:24.620 suppressing me. And so I'm all for, let's just ban TikTok. But even if I didn't have a personal
00:36:28.500 interest in it, it's not good for people. Does anyone really think that it's good to have 12-year-olds
00:36:34.780 scrolling TikTok all day long? No, of course not. In the olden days, we would just suppress that. We
00:36:41.160 would use the law to suppress that sort of a thing. But now, the left doesn't want us to because they
00:36:46.280 want to spread degeneracy and decadence around the culture. And the right doesn't either because
00:36:49.840 we've bought this crazy idea of some unbridled right to individual liberty or something like
00:36:56.960 that, which is not liberty at all. It's really nothing more than license. So good. Even Utah right
00:37:02.780 now, the Republican governor there, Spencer Cox, has banned TikTok from state devices.
00:37:07.800 I say this is not just not an overstep of the government, not just not an expression of the
00:37:16.340 tyrannical state. No, what I say is it's a good start. I say we need to go much, much further.
00:37:21.200 Now, it's time to kick woke companies out of your man's bathroom. Okay, Jeremy's Razors is a premium
00:37:28.640 men's grooming company that, shockingly, does not hate men. They've got a full range of men's
00:37:33.400 staples, including a Precision 5 razor with a flip-back trimmer, tea tree, and to argon oil
00:37:37.700 shampoo and conditioner. I was just using that this morning. It's fabulous. That's how I got this
00:37:41.280 coif today. Body soap, facial moisturizer, lots more. It's got the whole routine, covered hair,
00:37:47.180 body, beard, skincare products. They're made in the USA. It's a win-win. You love that he's cleaning
00:37:52.380 up without parabens or sulfates. He is going to love supporting a company that does not hate his guts.
00:37:57.600 Jeremy's Razors is 100% woke free, and now you get 30% off his gift bundle when you order by
00:38:03.840 December 15th. Switch your man over to Jeremy's Razors to kick woke out of his bathroom. Go to
00:38:08.580 dailywire.com slash Knowles today. Also, be sure to get your mailbag questions in. You know how to
00:38:14.880 do it, right? You head on over to dailywire.com, click on the show pages, click the Michael Knowles
00:38:20.800 show. You obviously have to be a member. You submit a question to the mailbag. When you do that,
00:38:27.260 it's going to open up an email, and you just attach an audio file. You can record it on your
00:38:30.920 phone. You can record it on your computer. Please keep it to a minute or less. I don't need the story
00:38:35.520 of your life, okay? I won't be able to play it on the air, but submit that voicemail bag to our
00:38:40.840 mailbag, and we'll be able to read them on Friday. Speaking of corruption at social media sites,
00:38:49.220 the Twitter files keep on coming. Not a huge update today. One thing really, really tickled me,
00:38:54.480 though. The Twitter employees, as they were debating whether or not to kick Trump off Twitter,
00:39:01.000 you know, the duly elected sitting president, they compared him to a certain historical figure.
00:39:07.740 Do you know which one? I'll give you one guess. Which historical figure? You guessed it right.
00:39:14.880 They called him Hitler. The members of the team, this is according to one of the internal memos,
00:39:19.760 said, just to update you, Blank, I spoke to Blank just now, so they're censoring some of the names.
00:39:26.340 They understand our assessment of this individual tweet, but they now view him as the leader of a
00:39:30.540 terrorist group responsible for violence slash deaths comparable to Christchurch shooter or Hitler.
00:39:39.180 On that basis, and on the totality of his tweets, he should be deplatformed.
00:39:50.580 So, yes, they call Trump Hitler. Everyone called Trump Hitler on the left for years and years and
00:39:55.220 years. But even, let's say, you take the very worst that happened on January 6th, January 6th,
00:40:03.280 the worst insurrection ever, even though nobody's been charged with insurrection. And,
00:40:07.380 well, they killed those police officers. No, they actually didn't. They didn't kill any police
00:40:10.620 officers. And, well, but people died, right? The person who died was Ashley Babbitt. She was shot
00:40:14.960 by a trigger-happy cop. She was a Trump supporter, actually. Trump supporters didn't kill people.
00:40:21.900 To say that he's equivalent to the Christchurch shooter or Hitler, it seems somewhat offensive to me.
00:40:30.520 Seems offensive. Everyone's getting angry at what Kanye is saying. That seems pretty offensive,
00:40:34.920 too, don't you say? That seems to be making light of Hitler and all of his atrocities, too.
00:40:39.080 Wouldn't you say? Now, of course, people who compare every political story to World War II are
00:40:46.600 not to be taken seriously. Because those sort of people don't know anything about history. Their
00:40:52.100 only historical frame of reference is World War II. And because they don't know about history,
00:40:56.580 they probably don't know much about World War II either. But those people don't need to listen to
00:41:01.180 them. But furthermore, why do they do it? They do it because by comparing us to Hitler,
00:41:11.360 they can justify any actions that they take against us. And the reason for this is that
00:41:18.880 Hitler and the Nazis are not just people who did things in history. In the popular perception,
00:41:27.040 Hitler is the devil. The Nazis are demons. They're not human beings. They're the devil and demons.
00:41:36.040 In fact, they're worse than the devil and the demons. Because the people who obsessively compare
00:41:42.540 everything to Hitler probably don't believe in the devil. They're probably atheists. They probably
00:41:47.880 don't believe in demons. Hitler was for them not just a very, very, very bad man, but the absolute
00:41:56.140 incarnation of evil worse than the devil in that Hitler was incarnate. Hitler had a body. The devil
00:42:02.960 and the demons are just spirits. They're just demons. But the devil is a body. I've made this
00:42:09.420 point when we were covering the Kanye story over the past couple of weeks, that Kanye, for so much of
00:42:15.400 his career, has just tried to transgress taboos. He goes up to the most popular musician in the world,
00:42:21.180 Taylor Swift, and takes her statue on stage. Or he says, slavery is a choice. Or he puts on the
00:42:26.820 MAGA hat, at the time was extremely transgressive. And then he comes out and he says, I really like
00:42:32.260 Hitler, which is the most subversive thing, the most taboo thing you can possibly say.
00:42:40.000 There is nothing further. And this is more proof of that. When they compare us to Hitler or Nazis,
00:42:46.340 we laugh it off. We say, that's so stupid. You clearly don't know anything about Hitler or Nazis.
00:42:50.320 You clearly don't know what Trump is actually doing. But we should take it a little bit more
00:42:54.320 seriously. Because what that actually means when they say, you are like Hitler, is there is nothing
00:43:02.120 that we would not be justified in doing to you. We would kill baby Hitler. They would kill baby us.
00:43:10.140 They would kill a lot of babies. That's what they do. They would do absolutely anything.
00:43:16.340 And there are different tracks of justice. We know this in the United States.
00:43:21.040 If you burn down the country for eight months, along with BLM, you'll get a slap on the wrist,
00:43:26.100 probably won't even have any charges filed against you. If you walk into the Capitol Rotunda and you
00:43:31.580 dance around a little bit in a horn hat and maybe crack a chorus light, they will throw the book at you.
00:43:36.120 They'll put you in solitary confinement. You're seeing this right now in a different way with Pete
00:43:40.520 Buttigieg, who probably is my least favorite of the Biden appointees, even more than the crazy
00:43:46.100 nuclear energy guy, even more than all of the rest of this really shadowy cast of characters.
00:43:54.280 Because Buttigieg is so glib. He's just so, he's just that guy who went to Harvard and then worked
00:44:01.000 at McKinsey. And then kind of talks, you know, he's like, hey, hey guys, come on, I'm just the
00:44:04.680 reasonable one. Okay. Bridges and roads are really, really racist, guys. And I'll see you in about six
00:44:10.760 months. I've got to go take off some maternity leave so that I can go breastfeed my child.
00:44:15.440 But it's totally reasonable because I'm Pete Buttigieg. And I'm just, I'm just a really nice
00:44:20.000 guy, actually. But I just, I think half the country is evil and terrible and bigoted.
00:44:24.940 Ha ha. Ha ha. So he just drives me crazy because he's so glib and so disingenuous. But Pete Buttigieg,
00:44:31.280 he does like the finer things in life. Okay. He likes taking four to six months off as a vacation right
00:44:37.120 after he starts his job. He likes flying around on private jets. It turns out, new report shows
00:44:43.360 that Pete Buttigieg has taken private jets at least 18 times since he was inaugurated into office.
00:44:53.820 There were commercial flights available, but he took the private jets. Ironic because Pete Buttigieg
00:45:00.340 talks about how he cares about the environment. He makes climate change a big part of his political
00:45:05.660 platform. Obviously, he doesn't really care all that much about the environment because private jets
00:45:10.300 spew so much more pollution into the air than commercial air travel does. But it's also ironic
00:45:14.940 because Pete Buttigieg is the Secretary of Transportation. So it's his job to make sure that
00:45:21.120 transportation is run effectively in the United States. So of any political appointee, I'm not
00:45:27.140 begrudging political appointees their private jets. Sometimes people at the very top layers of
00:45:31.200 government really ought to take a private jet because it's the most efficient way to get to a place
00:45:35.580 and important work has to be done. But when you're talking about the Secretary of Transportation,
00:45:38.960 it's a pretty bad look because your job is to run all the non-private jet modes of transportation
00:45:45.060 that we are all supposed to rely on. And if Pete's argument here is, well, you can't expect me to take
00:45:51.820 commercial air travel. That sucks. It's a terrible experience. And very often, the flights will be
00:45:58.160 delayed or canceled. And I'll have to sit in those tiny little seats next to disgusting members of the
00:46:03.500 hoi polloi. You just can't expect me to do that. So I'm going to take my private jets.
00:46:07.780 Then that's a really bad look because it shows that you're sort of failing at your job.
00:46:13.280 Just a reminder, Donald Trump's Secretary of Health and Human Services lost his job for this.
00:46:21.560 Donald Trump's HHS Secretary, Tom Price, took 25 private jets. So a little bit more than Buttigieg,
00:46:29.380 but not a lot. 18 versus 25. And he had to resign in disgrace. Bipartisan investigations.
00:46:34.680 Everybody agreed on this. Pete Buttigieg, nothing will happen to him because of this.
00:46:39.160 We all know it. They just get away with it. And so what should we do about this?
00:46:45.200 We can either whine and scream and cry, get blue in the face. Or I would just recommend next time
00:46:49.400 that there's a Tom Price who's taking some private jets and is targeted with a mostly contrived
00:46:54.140 political attack. Obviously, we should root out corruption in our own party. But the Tom Price
00:46:58.960 attack was pretty contrived. A lot of top politicos take private jets. Maybe Tom overdid it a little
00:47:05.200 bit, but it was mostly just a way to attack the Trump administration. Next time that happens,
00:47:09.540 let it go. There is no need to go after him like that. Okay? No need to do that sort of thing.
00:47:18.300 Speaking of flying high and political power players, Ron DeSantis is having a very good year.
00:47:26.820 I meant to get to this last week. Didn't have time. But Juan Williams, he's the Democrat on Fox News.
00:47:32.140 Juan Williams has just come out with his annual column on the most important power player politician
00:47:36.980 in the country. He says it's DeSantis. He says, DeSantis is 2022's most important politician,
00:47:45.500 unfortunately. He's not my cup of tea. In fact, he scares me. But it is time for me to hand out my
00:47:51.140 year-end award for the top political player in the United States. These days, there needs to be one
00:47:56.200 top prize, and it goes to Ron DeSantis. Very, very difficult to disagree with that. Whether you are the
00:48:02.480 most ardent Trump supporter in the world, whether you totally hate Donald Trump, whether you, I don't
00:48:08.160 know, you're a Tim Scott or a Nikki Haley stan or something like that. The rise that Ron DeSantis has had
00:48:13.680 from an obscure congressman backbencher, didn't really do very much in the House. It's hard to
00:48:20.660 do really anything in the House of Representatives, to the most prominent, effective, conservative
00:48:26.260 governor in America has been absolutely astounding. And if you're Donald Trump, if you're anyone else who
00:48:35.080 wants to run for president, that is a big, big deal, okay? And so you're seeing the political ground
00:48:40.620 shifting right now. Even though Democrats did much better in the midterms than you necessarily
00:48:45.040 would have expected, you can see things aren't looking great for the Democrats. It's why Kyrsten
00:48:50.300 Sinema had to leave the Democrat Party. You're seeing the exposure of the Twitter files and the
00:48:57.620 collaboration between the big tech platforms and the Democrat Party. You're seeing things shaking.
00:49:03.300 So as we head now into 2023, which will just become the 2024 presidential race, you're seeing
00:49:09.520 the political rounds shifting. Things are not settled. What the Republicans believe is not
00:49:15.380 settled, what the governing agenda will be, how and if they will wield power. Those are the fights that
00:49:20.700 are happening right now. We can all learn a lesson. We can learn a lesson from those Democrats who wield
00:49:25.680 power very effectively. We can learn a lesson from Elon Musk. We can see if we can summon the courage to
00:49:30.880 do it ourselves. The rest of the show continues now. You do not want to miss it. If you're not a member,
